WARNING: STAY AWAY. Biggest scam ever. I was going to Europe, they took my money and never booked the residence for me. I Had to book through another website and, beyond the inconvenience of not getting the place that I bargained for, they did not return my money after lying to me and saying that they would. If the website allowed me to rate them a zero or even lower, I would definitely exercise that option. STAY AWAY

Beware of Booking.com car rental. I made a reservation for a car to be picked up at 9:30 p.m. I showed up at the airport counter at 11:20 p.m. The Avis counter was closed. I had to rent another car from Hertz which was opened. Next day I contacted booking.com and they told me they were going to cancel the reservation after verifying that I didn't pick up the car. I also call Avis at the number listed on the booking.com website but nobody answered the phone. When I came back from my vacation I contacted booking.com again and they told me that because the Avis counter close at 11:00 PM I wasn't going to get any refund. There is no mention on the booking.com website that the Avis rental car closes at 11:00 p.m. They kept the full amount for the car rental. I just couldn't believe it.

Updated on 03/13/2025: Despite my countless attempts to get a refund, this company has done nothing but stall. Every time, they ask for yet another document, a different format, a currency change, or they shift the blame onto the hotel—anything to delay the process. Now that they have everything they requested, they’ve simply stopped responding to my emails.

Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. When I call, they pretend to understand and promise to help, but in reality, they are just dragging things out and avoiding the refund. Unacceptable!

Original Review: I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING.COM TO ANYONE! I booked a stay at the Hampton Inn Dade City through Booking.com and canceled it 2–3 days before the free cancellation deadline. Despite this, I was charged over $200 because Booking.com failed to notify the hotel about my cancellation. On top of that, I was charged an additional $20 international transaction fee because my card is European.

Since then, I’ve been trying to get a refund, but both Booking.com and the hotel keep blaming each other. Even after providing proof of the charge, I was asked for a bank statement, which I sent. I clearly explained where my name was and what the amount represented, yet they acted as if they couldn’t understand it. Eventually, Booking.com claimed they would contact the hotel and allow five business days for a refund. I waited over a week—no email, no call. When I followed up, I was put on hold for 20 minutes, only to be hung up on after explaining the situation. I called again, waited another 30 minutes, explained everything once more—and was hung up on again.

Later, they told me the hotel rejected my bank statement because it was in euros instead of dollars. When I called the hotel directly, they confirmed they refused to refund me because Booking.com never informed them of the cancellation. I asked if they could speak to Booking.com, but they refused. It has now been over two weeks, and I’m stuck in an endless loop with no resolution. I’ve lost both my refund and an extra $20 due to Booking.com’s incompetence. Absolutely terrible service from both parties. I will never use Booking.com again!

I have used this site a lot, but won’t ever again. Upon my last booking, which was last minute and nonrefundable, I discovered soon after that the description of the property being a hotel with a 24-hour front desk was COMPLETELY INCORRECT! When I could reach no one there by phone or email over a number of hours, I called Booking.com to complain and insist that I be permitted to cancel with a refund given their deceptive advertising of the accommodation. I was told that I could not without the accommodation agreeing to this. And was told that the “hotel” had 24-48 hours to respond to Booking.com‘s request for a refunded cancellation. So of course the accommodation did not respond to Booking.com, and I was then informed that nothing further could be done for me! The good prices are not worth having ZERO customer service from a company that takes no responsibility for misleading property descriptions!

I called booking.com and spent 2 hours on the phone with customer care for them to do nothing except tell me that they don't have to give me a refund and hang up on me. When I called back and explained that I didn't have any more money they agreed to refund me my money, but it would take 7 to 12 days?! Ridiculous!

We have trusted Booking.com to present reliable, accurate property details. We rented an apartment for a month through booking.com. The property was nothing like described in the booking.com listing. Everything inside and out was misrepresented. Photos were staged, and other properties were pictured to describe the one we rented. Bed bugs were discovered a day after we arrived, the sewer system of the building ventilates into the apartment, causing an unimaginable stench that requires we leave windows open in the winter. I have lost trust in booking.com listing's and will not use them again for renting unless I can personally see the property beforehand. We are out $2500.00 with little hope of recovery.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Booking.com that left me feeling misled and frustrated. The platform's system allowed me to book a hotel under the impression that I was getting a specific type facility. However, after making the payment, I received a confirmation for a completely different quality place with a similar name. This discrepancy was not only confusing but also felt deceptive. The switch was from a luxury resort to an AirB&B. In another instance, I booked a room for two people, but after the payment was processed, I received an email stating that the room only had a twin bed. The reservation details indicated that the room could accommodate up to three people, but Booking.com informed me that if I wanted a bed for two people, I would need to pay an additional $90. This was not only inconvenient but also felt like a bait-and-switch tactic.

Furthermore, I am concerned about the security and authenticity of Booking.com's listings. Overall, my experience with Booking.com has been marred by inconsistencies and what feels like misleading practices. While the platform offers a wide range of accommodations, it needs to improve its transparency and security measures to protect users from potential scams. This company needs further scrutiny as their practices are very damaging to consumers and don't meet US consumer's protection.

Spare yourself the headaches and use a service with verified reviews. It's a foriegn company with foreign support so they don't feel obligated to comply with the terms of service we are accustomed to in the US. If you have to deal with customer service you will get disconnected, lied to, talked over and ultimately be disappointed.

FRAUD!!! I made an hotel reservation on January 17th. Few hours into the reservation, I got an email from booking.com saying my reservation has been cancelled for unknown reasons. I called customer’s service and requested a full refund since the reservation was canceled by Booking.com. The rep assured me I’ll be getting a full refund within 7-12 days however, since I did not get an email stating this, I called back on the 20th and spoke to another rep who also reassured me I’ll be getting a full refund and in addition, offered me a compensation of 884 THB for the inconvenience. I received the 884THB but never received my actual refund for the reservation.

I called Booking.com on January 31st and spoke with another rep, Isreal who informed me that Booking.com will not issue me a refund as it is dependent on whether the hotel will refund me or not. How does this make sense? I did not cancel the reservation. Booking.com canceled it for reasons known to them but yet, they’re refusing to refund me over $2,000 I paid for my reservation despite being told by 2 previous representatives that I’ll be getting a full refund! I asked to speak to a manager and this rep refused stating there is no one else available to talk to me and there’s nothing he can do for me. This is nothing but FRAUD! Consumer Affairs, I am writing to file a complaint against Booking.com regarding a prepaid trip to West Virginia that I was forced to cancel due to a state of emergency declared by the state government. Booking Details:

    Reservation Number: **
    Confirmation Number: **
    Scheduled Arrival Date: 01.09.2025
    Destination: Charleston, West Virginia
    Accommodation: Treetops in Town
    Amount Paid: $501.56

    Refunded Amount: $99.00 (lodging fees)

Reason For Cancellation: On January 5th, 2025, the state of West Virginia was declared under a state of emergency due to a severe winter storm. This made travel to and within the state extremely dangerous, if not impossible. Due to these hazardous conditions, I was unfortunately forced to cancel my trip. Booking.com's Response: I contacted Booking.com on January 6th, 2025 to inform them about the cancellation and request a refund or credit for a future booking. However, Booking.com refused to offer either a refund or a credit.

Supporting Documentation: I have attached a copy of my booking confirmation for your reference. I have also included a link to a news article documenting the state of emergency declared in West Virginia as well as a PDF copy of the Governor's signed order. (Reference Link: **). Request: I believe that Booking.com should be held responsible for this cancellation due to the extraordinary circumstances of the state of emergency. I kindly request the BBB to mediate a resolution with Booking.com for a full refund of my prepaid trip. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.

I made a round-trip flight reservation on Booking.com who is in partnership with Gotogate. Less than 24 hours later I wanted to change my round-trip flight to a couple of days earlier to extend my trip and was told by the Booking.com representative to call the airline instead. When I called the airline the lady told me she wasn’t allowed to change the tickets since I had purchased through a third party and that I would need to go through them in order to change it.

I called Booking.com again and after some time of going round and round in circles with them, they told me Booking.com couldn’t do anything about the ticket change because the flight tickets were actually booked by a different agency. After some research which took a lot of fine-print reading on my confirmation email I found out Gotogate is the agency that books the flights for booking.com. So then I called Gotogate, and of course, they couldn’t do anything for me (keep in mind this is all within 24 hours of purchasing my ticket).

They then told me they could do it for a fee of 500-some dollars, which I was able to get down to $300, at the end I decided not to do it — I felt absolutely terrible that they advertise easy cancellation and changes which really felt like a lie. I had been going in circles with them all morning (it really was an emotional rollercoaster, full of gaslighting and giving me the run around). A hour later, my partner decides to call Gotogate to see if he would have any luck, they immediately tell him they’ll do it for $400. They take all of his information (which feels very risky now).

We don’t hear back from them and don’t see any charges go through, when we call them a few days later to ask what happened with the flight changes they tell him they can’t change the tickets, but can do it for $2000.00! I can’t tell you how awful the experience was. I feel completely scammed. Not only do they falsely advertise the ease of using their services but their customer service is extremely shady, the Gotogate representative told me I was going to be blacklisted from a list of airlines if I went to the bank to dispute the charges — to me this is really unprofessional and is a red flag to question the legitimacy of the company.

Recently, I had a very frustrating experience with Booking.com, and I feel it's important to share this to warn other users. **Disappointment with Cancellation:** I made a reservation with the promise of free cancellation, which was one of the main reasons I chose the platform. However, when I canceled my reservation a month before the scheduled date, I encountered an absurd situation: after a month, I still have not received my refund. The company's support simply stated that I was not entitled to my money back.

**Transparency Issues:** Additionally, the property I had reserved was removed from the site, raising several questions about the reliability and transparency of the service. This situation left me quite disappointed and made me question the seriousness of the platform. **Conclusion:** The lack of adequate support and the confusion surrounding cancellation policies left me extremely dissatisfied. Unfortunately, this negative experience makes me recommend caution when using Booking.com. Here's a tip: consider more reliable alternatives for your bookings. I hope that by sharing my story, others won't face the same problem.

I booked a room through Booking.com at the Rodeway Inn, in South Miami at 5959 Southwest 71 St 33413. The room was horrible. It smelled like a bunch of urine and feces was on the road. The bedding sheets had spot stains and the window shields was extremely dirty.. I advise front desk staff that I could not accept the room under those conditions. He then advised me that booking.com needs to send over something in writing so they can refund my credit card. This occurred on January 17, 2025.

After reaching out to my credit card company, I was told I could not dispute the transaction until it had been processed through my bank account. On Saturday, January 18, 2024 I reached back out to booking.com speaking with Ms. ** she advised me it was very nice for the Hotel to want to reimburse the monies under the conditions however they’re not allowed to submit the request. It doesn’t make sense for a Hotel to charge someone $131.00 that did not stay in the room due to the poor condition. I would not allow my animal to sleep at that hotel. A motel is a better quality than what I witnessed last night and I have the photos to show.

Clearly showed a free airport transfer was offered and my credit card company sided with me. If you MUST use this scam company screen shot everything they offer (room type, etc.) and contest with your credit card company. I used this company for 2 decades. I never had a dispute. I never questioned a charge. Then recently an unauthorized charge of $2400 by Booking.com appeared on my credit card. I attempted to call customer service, but I was unable to get past the automated answering machine without an active reservation. Instead I was redirected to seek resolution through the online help center. I sent multiple messages through the help center. Each message generated the same automated response requesting that I submit "more info" about the disputed charges. After three days of round robin futile efforts, I called the customer service line again and bypassed the automated answering machine by entering an old confirmation number and PIN associated with a past completed reservation. The agent who took my call was not helpful. He could not clarify the charges and advised that he must escalate the inquiry up the chain of command for further investigation.

A day later I received a message saying that the finance department had concluded its investigation and confirmed the charges, but "for security reasons we are unable to provide specific details." Several more calls finally revealed that the charges were related to a booking in Reykjavik, Iceland. It was a booking not made by me. There was no paper trail linking me to the reservation (i.e. I was not sent an email confirmation of the reservation.) I explained that it was a fraudulent charge, but I was offered no further assistance. It was recommend to "discuss the issue with your bank." The measure of a company is not the product it provides, but the customer service behind the product. You have been warned. Should a problem arise with this company, they will do very little to help resolve the matter.

Avoid Booking.com – Unreliable and Misleading Service. I had a terrible experience with Booking.com due to their unreliable booking system, false advertising, and incompetent customer service. Despite receiving multiple confirmation numbers for my trip (flight, hotel, and car rental), their system failed to recognize my booking when I needed assistance.

The car rental was misleadingly advertised as a pick-up and drop-off service, but upon arrival, I was told it was a self-drive rental—something I never agreed to. Customer support was useless, repetitive, and unhelpful, refusing to acknowledge my booking details and offering no real resolution. Calls to their support numbers went unanswered, and I was simply told to file a complaint using a reference number they couldn’t even find. Bottom Line: Booking.com is unreliable, misleading, and has terrible customer service. If you value your money and time, book directly with hotels, airlines, and car rental companies instead. 🚨Avoid at all costs!🚨

Doctors recommended creating positive memories with her. Due to treatment, I had to cancel the trip but did so within the policy terms. However, Rentals United Property refuses to remit my payment of $526.37; they have gone as far as to falsify an ARN transaction number disputing that they have processed my refund, yet there is no evidence of such a transaction from the bank. After numerous phone conversations with Booking.com that lists them on their website, both agencies have failed to refund my payment, after promising that they would fine the property and compensate me for the funds.

In good faith, I trusted that they would be honest dealing business practices but they have proven otherwise. I have reported this to my bank but the time has elapsed for my bank to reimburse me my funds. Furthermore, I have reported them (specifically the property) to the attorney general. In the course of arranging to spend a night in Salisbury, NC, my search turned up the best rate for the Hampton Inn was a pre-paid non-refundable room thru Booking.com. So I booked a room online and when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that I had no reservation there. The hotel front desk suggested that I verify that I had booked the correct location, as they had encountered on a number of occasions, where guests who thought they had booked in Salisbury, NC had actually booked the Hampton Inn in Salisbury, MA. I found that to be so in my case, so I immediately called the Hampton Inn in Maryland and they were gracious enough to agree to a refund.

However when I never received the credit back from booking.com, I forced to embarked on a painful two month process of going back and forth between booking.com and the hotel management. Booking.com assumed the posture that they could not refund me my money until they had written confirmation from the hotel management. The hotel patiently and kindly assured me that they had sent booking.com email confirmation on at least two occasions, yet booking.com kept presenting another hoop to jump thru.

I finally was able to get the hotel manager and booking.com on the line simultaneously. The hotel manager sent another email in real time, which booking.com was forced to acknowledge and hopefully the matter is settled. Booking.com claims that they were following the policy established between themselves and the hotels. I believe this is a contrived arrangement intended to stifle the ability for customers to get a timely refund. Most people likely just throw in the towel after a few vain efforts, but for the sake of the consumer, I persisted.

I needed to cancel a reservation and the hotel had already told me was at no charge because of huge storms. when I canceled online booking said I had to contact the hotel myself even though the hotel had put notes on the file for Booking.com.

When I responded to that email, they said they would get back to me within 48 hours and they needed all of the details including reference number passcode, etc. when it was all on the original email cancellation. Then I needed to change a flight number for a car I booked the following day that was arriving at exactly the same time and all I could do is contact the people in Costa Rica by mail which responded that they would get back to me in five days. There is no phone number to call at Booking.com. And in the meantime, you’re traveling and needing support right away. The list goes on, but there’s only 200 characters allowed. Upon arrival, there were deficiencies on the property. My husband didn't feel safe at the property and left to find a better accommodation. I texted the person in charge with a cancellation and refund request explaining the reasons why we left.

Booking.com was also contacted to request a cancellation and refund. Booking.com indicated that they were going to contact the property and send an email to seek property approval of the cancellation. The following morning, I contacted the property for follow-up, and they indicated that they were never contacted by Booking.com until the next morning at daytime. The property contact person also indicated that despite their no-cancellation policy, they would have refunded the stay if it wasn't that they were unable to cancel a reservation made through Booking.com, and because of that the unit was frozen during the length of the stay. I called Booking.com multiple times during the night. Second and third calls were dropped after long waits.

If you book using this platform because you trust they will treat you with fairness, be my guest. I spoke with a supervisor that was a poor excuse for customer service. They give you a dozen dull and insincere useless apologies like that can fix anything. I requested that supervisor to escalate the matter further and she refused to do that. I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Booking.com’s customer service, which has left me questioning their commitment to customer satisfaction. I had $100 in travel credit that was set to expire on January 6, 2025, according to the email I received. However, their system claimed it expired on January 5, 2025, and the entire experience of resolving this issue was a nightmare.

First, when I noticed the problem on January 6, I tried reaching out through various channels. The messaging system offered no confirmation that my messages were sent, leaving me unsure if my inquiry was received. I mistakenly contacted the travel department instead of the accommodations department and only realized the error later. By January 7, having received no response, I had to Google their contact number to speak to someone directly.

When I finally reached a representative, they insisted that the expiration date was January 5, contradicting the email I had. After I sent them a screenshot as proof, they changed their argument, claiming that January 6 meant midnight at the start of the day (essentially the end of January 5). This “policy” is absurdly unclear and misleading.

Even worse, they blamed me for not reaching out on January 6, completely disregarding the fact that I tried but had difficulty navigating their unhelpful system. When I explained I had reached the wrong department, they said they couldn’t access that department’s information or verify my contact attempts. Shockingly, they claimed no one in the company could help or provide the necessary access.

Their tone became dismissive and condescending. They even argued that as a frequent user and almost a Level 3 Genius Award member, I should have “known” how to reach them, which is a ridiculous expectation. If their own representatives can’t find a department’s contact number, how can customers be expected to know? Overall, Booking.com’s customer service failed on every level—lack of accountability, unclear policies, unresponsive systems, and unprofessional behavior. For a company of this scale, this is unacceptable. I expected better, and this experience has made me seriously reconsider using their platform in the future.

I spent several hours on the phone with customer service, and the supervisor authorized me to stay at the same hotel where I had been staying in the previous three nights because they can not make sure that the available apartments in their website is actually available. After I came back to my home city, I communicated with them multiple times and submitted all the required documents. However, in the end, they did not honor their commitment to refund the difference - not at all. They asked the customers to bear all the inconvenience and costs incurred. FF was bought so a change and refund could be possible without cost. Then said they could only offer a credit and no refund, refused to tell me how much the credit would be so clearly another gauge. attempt. I spent 3 hours back and forth. They deflected me. I called Porter who confirmed that the change could easily be done by - then lost the flights. NEVER USE BOOKING.COM for anything, they don't honor their deals. Take your money. Absolutely horrible experience with Booking.com customer service. Two issues: 1). I never received an e-mail confirmation, which means I never received a confirmation and PIN #. 2). I needed to cancel my hotel reservation with them, well in advance of the timeline to cancel. Because I didn’t have the confirmation #, I could not talk with anyone via phone. Using their online customer service was just as frustrating. Every time I would work with someone, they eventually stopped communicating with me. When I tried to reply again to their last e-mail, I would get their standard e-mail asking for all details of the reservation again. Even when they finally acknowledged via e-mail my e-mail address was not accurate (somehow ‘noautoresponse’ was added to the beginning of my e-mail address, they would not help me).

The online team kept telling me to call their customer support. Customer support via phone, you cannot get past the automated system to speak to an agent unless you have your confirmation #. I am not one to leave reviews of a business online, but this experience was ridiculous. Finally the hotel reservation team cancelled the reservation for me even though they stated they were not supposed to. I will never use Booking.com again

Liars and Thieves! Avoid, avoid avoid!!! The single worst experience I have ever had in dealing with flight bookings and that is saying a lot. These clowns make Air Canada look good! Full disclosure, this all started when I made a mistake and put my wife's married last name on our ticket (the legal process of changing her name hadn't caught up and wouldn't be changed before our flight) and when we realized we started the process of making the change. Unfortunately we were too late, which is frustrating but at the end of the day it was my fault. This is where it gets bad, a booking.com customer service representative named Sidesh told me that I should cancel my current flight and rebook another.

Only issue was I couldn't afford to pay the grossly high cancellation fees and book another flight, but Sidesh told me that there had been a minor schedule change which waives the cancellation fee. After checking myself and having Sidesh confirm about 2-3 times that this was the case, I agreed to have my flight cancelled by him and I would book another flight. Flight booked (through Expedia this time) and all is right in the world.

The next day I get an e-mail saying that they would not waive the cancelation fee because the schedule change wasn't drastic.... After I was guaranteed it would be waived and bought another $1,500.00 worth of tickets... So I am pretty pissed off at this point as I was lied to and now am on the hook for two sets of tickets to the exact same place on the same day. So I call Booking.com to get an explanation and am told that there was nothing they could do and blah blah blah the usual runaround. They have been no help pointing fingers at the hotel when nobody still after a week can get ahold of anyone. I’m disgusted with how they’ve treated me hanging up when I call. Earlier this year, I booked a room at a hotel in Turkey. Deciding to book was based on how beautiful it was, with gold accents throughout as well as the space of the room. When I arrived to the hotel at 2am I was told that room was not available anymore (after they’d charged my card) and that they had to bring me to another hotel. When I arrived the hotel looked like a large closet with a bathroom, not even half as nice as what I booked. At 3am now I had few options so I slept and left as soon as day broke. When I reported this to Booking.com they sent me through the wringer back and forth for a while saying they’d contact the hotel but ultimately denied a refund saying the hotel said it was fine. Why would you prioritize what the hotel said over the paying customer. I will never book with them again and urge you not to either! If anything goes wrong, they won’t protect you.

My wife and I traveled all over Italy for 6 weeks and have nothing but good things to say, except for this hotel. We were on the road and attempting to make a reservation through booking.com for this hotel. While driving, I filled in a reservation form, but made a typing mistake and my first attempt was declined because I entered an incorrect zip code number for myself. I corrected it and we received confirmation for 1 room. When we arrived at the hotel, the manager told us we BOOKED 2 ROOMS. It was my wife and I and we only needed 1 room. Why would we book 2 rooms? He said booking.com made 2 reservations and we needed to discuss with them but he was charging us for 2 rooms.

Needless to say we objected, began a discussion with booking.com, and almost 3 months later we still have not gotten credit from either booking.com or HA hotel. A giant company like booking.com, and a hotel of this level, cheating people out of $200 is an absolute disgrace. To this day we are still fighting the most corrupt and incompetent customer service at booking.com, and continue to get a run around between the 2 companies. BEWARE OF BOTH.

In addition, since I contacted Booking.com after the cancel with no charge period, they said they would contact Hampton Inn and ask for exemption of cancellation fee (later found out they didn't). When I called Hampton Inn they said they were never contacted by Booking.com for the above two incidences and that my reservation was still active, so I cancelled them. In talking to Hampton Inn, it turned out that their rates made directly with them were not only cheaper and their cancellation policy was much better than Booking.com. I have been hung up on over 13 times as I have been told repeatedly that they can not reach the property and I have been calling as well for over 21 hrs. Now stranded at a Denny's and being told, "Well if the hotel is not answering then it is obvious a refund has not been agreed upon," after multiple previous representatives said the reservation has been cancelled and the refund was being processed so not ever use this company. It is literally the worst customer service I think I have come across in my entire life.

Booking.com does not stand by or assist its customers. Had an issue with a car rental. The price quoted on Booking was $171.00, when I arrive to the rental counter, they said I had no reservation. Showed them the confirmation, and they said they never heard from Booking, so would not honor it. Tried to call Booking and no one answered, message said someone would return my call within 3 days! Ended up spending $365.00 for the same rental. Booking never did call me back, after a series of delayed emails back and forth Booking said basically "too bad so sad" and told me to try and work with the car rental company. HORRIBLE company and would not depend on them when you are in need of assistance. Their quoted confirmation means nothing and they will NOT stand behind their customer.

I have had the worst experience with Booking.com. I booked two nights hotel at the Chelsea in Toronto. My flights were cancelled out due to a snowstorm. I called to cancel and went online to cancel and submit a request to property for refund. When I called booking the next day I was told they couldn’t help me because it was a partner offer of theirs. I asked for their partner info so I may contact. They informed me they couldn’t share that info with me. I called the Chelsea hotel who had no record of my reservation. I phoned back booking who again said they could not help me. At this point due to the hotel being paid for, we would travel to Toronto for a weekend. Then Chelsea however told us they had no record of our reservation. So booking would not help, nor would they provide me with the contact information of their partner who the offer was through.

Keep in mind, I booked this hotel stay through my booking app and my personal profile that I have been using for the last 5 years. In the end, my money was taken, there was no record of my reservation so we could not stay at our hotel and booking would not assist me nor provide me with the contact information for their third party partner. I have been robbed of $500 and hours of my life on the phone with booking.com that I will never get back.

Booking.com did not accurately represent the hotel. I have never experienced such a disappointment as I did with this booking. Booking.com took my money, using their unclear polices and charged me nearly $200.00 for a reservation that I had to cancel upon arrival. The Echo Suites "extended-stay" location in Spartanburg, SC is brand-new with brand-new established lodging rules. This hotel has a full size kitchen, with no pots and pans, no dishes, no coffee pot, or coffee in the lobby, charges daily to exchange linen, $30 plus dollars to check in as early as 30-mins. and astronomical prices for all. I would not recommend this location. Based on their advertisement you will be blind-sided. This location is a room/space rental, not lodging, and charges lodging prices. Booking.com is not customer focused, just a way to make money. Please make sure you book directly with the hotel and not be fooled by the prices these 3rd party groups offer.

The address listed was just two blocks from Central Park, but we ended up two hours walking distance from the location we booked. We spent two days calling and chatting with Booking.com, hoping they would resolve the issue and move us back to the original address. The only solution offered was a $100 credit on Booking.com, which doesn’t even cover a round trip between the current location and the one we initially booked. This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable, and I expected much better from a platform I trusted to ensure reliability.

When I went to put this hotel into my gps I realized that the reviews are not accurate at all, and it’s very unsafe area to stay in… I called the hotel to cancel the room and explained that I don’t feel comfortable and also the weather is extremely bad and I would be arriving very late and it’s under my control which makes me feel even more unsafe checking in that late, but they didn’t want to do anything about it or be understanding,

I asked to speak to the manager and the guy I spoke to lied to me saying that the manager is away which is not true as I had my bank contacting them and they said they spoke to the manager. So I called directly booking.com, spoke to a manager explaining that their website don’t have accurate feedbacks and that is what put me in this trouble but the Manager Darren ? barely let me speak and told me that he will call the hotel and figure it out… He never did and instead of calling me bad and telling me that he got someone else calling me to tell me that. I am putting a claim thru my bank and Better Business Bureau because this is absolutely unfair to anyone.
