We had a Vivint Solar Sales Rep walking door to door on a Thursday 9/20/18 in the city San Bernardino, Calif. He was very informative on today's costs of home electric energy consumption and of methods to reduce those costs. He told my wife and I that he could get us more information by Saturday and he would present different solar packages to see what we would best fit our budget. He asked to see an electric bill and asked my wife sign an IPAD to allow him to see the Electric bill information online. Later that night I went online just to check Vivint Solar out and found many complaints of different reasons.

I did not feel comfortable with continuing with getting any more information from Vivint so I called the Rep on next morning Friday 11 am and told him that we decided to not go further with getting any more information, Thank you. On Saturday we found out from our Karma account that Vivint ran a hard line credit report on us. Not at any time did he say he was going to run a credit report on us and neither did we even talk about or approve. I find this method both Illegal and Unethical in any type of interaction from company to consumer.

I allowed the Vivint Solar rep to make his presentation. I was able to know a bit more details about it and that I have to pay a huge upfront cost. I decided to go solar but it has not been a good transition because after that, you’re just left to yourself. First, you gotta wait about six or seven months for it to run. And then they give you a packet to tell, “Okay, this is how you turn on the machine.” But the machine is different from what the packet says. So, you don’t turn it on right and you waste a few weeks for it not being on. Then you call and it has this long process of getting somebody to talk to you to help you turn on the machine correctly. A lot of effort is made into getting somebody to sign a contract but not a lot of effort is made after that to get customers up and running efficiently. Nonetheless, the first rep I dealt with was great. But after him, there was nobody.

For a while, I regretted the decision to get it. I wish I just stayed with regular electricity. With that, I know my electric bill is gonna be high because I have a large house. I factor it in my budget every month so I know what the bill is gonna be. But if I get an opportunity to go solar and save money, that’s attractive but there has to be some type of guidance on how that looks, how it works, how to turn the machine on, how my first couple of bills work, beyond signing a contract. Currently, I haven’t seen anything with the customer support after signing the contract and savings. I was told that during the summer months, my bill would remain the same because my AC is on. I use electricity high in the summer and low in the winter. I talked to other people who don’t necessarily have Vivint but who has solar and they said they see savings more in the fall than in the winter. So, I just chalked it up to maybe it’s just not the time yet.

It has been a year since Vivint installed solar panels in my house. To date they have not turned it on yet. Am actually in the process of filing a lawsuit and get out of their contract because they already breached the said contract. They give me runarounds every time I call to check on updates and from my investigations the panels are producing power which they are probably selling back to Eversource. I will go with a different company for sure. Spare yourself the nightmares!

After a couple of times of asking, I was still told I would not be able to get additional panels added because they no longer do it for Hawaii customers. My salesman suggested that 13 panels would be enough for the current which he based off of our current electric bill that I provided to him. He added that we could always add on more panels when our kids got older because then that's when the use of electricity in our household would increase. I was assured that this wouldn't be a problem as long as my electric bill justified it. No suggestions of another contractor that they teamed up with or subcontracted, no reaching out to me on what we can do, we're just pretty much out of luck.

I referred a friend to Vivint Solar so he could go solar with them, he got his panels installed on the roof for more than 2 months ago. I have been waiting for my referral bonus from Vivint Solar and since nothing has happened, I called Vivint to check and still nothing happened so I have called them a total of about 5 times and every time I call, the Rep. gives me an excuse and tell me another lie. I had to talk to my friend on the phone 3 times to convince him to go solar and here I am, I can’t get my $250 from Vivint after they installed a system worth over 40k on my friend’s house.

My brother experienced exactly the same with them for 2 years ago. He referred his brother-in-law and guess what happened when it was time for him to receive a referral bonus from Vivint! When you call Vivint, while waiting on the phone, their referral bonus ad runs in the background urging you to refer friends, that’s simple and easy and no strings attached. That’s a lie! People should stop referring others until they can keep their words and honor what they promise. I feel so disappointed with the company. I should have gone with another solar company.

I assumed a Vivint PPA at the house I bought in NJ last year (huge regret). My roof needs to be replaced prematurely due to an unrelated leak. They want $4915 to remove and reinstall the PV system; this is about 10x the price advertised on their YouTube channel (**), apparently because their system hasn't been on my roof long enough. Their cost is also more than 50% of what the entire roof will cost to replace - all to continue saving $30 a month on my electric bill. Vivint is greedy, and will install a PV system that will outlast the roof under it. When it comes time to replace the roof, you need their permission and must pay them to do the removal - check this language from the Customer Agreement:

"(ii) Property Repairs. - You are not permitted to make repairs or improvements to Your Property that may interfere with the performance or operation of the System without Our prior consent pursuant to this Section 5(e). If You provide Us with at least thirty (30) days’ prior written notice, then We will temporarily remove and reinstall the System at Your request to allow for such repair or improvement (a “Customer- Requested Temporary Shutdown”). You will be required to (1) before We remove the System, pay to Us a fee equal to Our estimated labor, equipment, and overhead costs to remove and reinstall the System; (2) if We request, securely store the System components during the Customer-Requested Temporary Shutdown; and (3) pay the Shutdown Payment if the System is not reinstalled within thirty(30) days of removal."

Essentially, Vivint doesn't care if water is leaking into your house as long as their panels are making them money. My roof is the original from 1971 with a second layer from 2000. I was informed by a roofer that the second layer was improperly laid. Why would Vivint install a 45 panel system on an aging/defective roof? Because if there are any problems with the roof, they get to make even more money off the customer for removal/reinstall. Avoid a PPA or lease. The only good way to do solar is cash or financing. These contracts are garbage.

I contracted for the PPA program Sept. '16. The contracting process was quick and easy. However the connection protocols in with the local utility was slow and arduous. It took quite a few emails and phone calls for my sales rep to finally respond to me. Then she abruptly left the company and left me in the lurch. No one at corporate knew what was going on until a regional manager stepped in to pick up the ball and run with it. Things finally got straightened out and I've been online since early 2017 and love the savings. Moral of the story is make sure your sales rep has adequate backup. Thank you Vivint.

There was a young man from Vivint Solar that came by before and I was very impressed with him. He convinced me to do the Vivint Solar. Unfortunately, I had some health issues at that time and I couldn't follow up. Then there were two gentlemen that came by. They were also from Vivint Solar. My health that time had drastically improved so I was able to take advantage of it this time

During the enrollment, I just answered questions. They took care of the paperwork and I signed on the dotted line. It was no big deal. The people that came out to inspect everything were very quick, professional, and efficient. That took just a few hours over the course of the day. The installation was done in a day and you wouldn't even know the installers were here. They were mostly on the roof. They let me know what they were doing and they just pulled up and the truck up. Then there were people crawling all over the place putting in the panels and taking care of business. So I really didn't have to interact with them very much at all. They just did their thing and went on their way.

There were no headaches for me during the enrollment, inspection, and installation. And I'm thrilled with the amount of money that I'm saving. My electric bills, especially during the heat wave, probably would have been 2.5 times what they are now. I tell everybody about Vivint Solar, how easy the process was, how it required very little interaction for me, and it was a pretty painless process all around.

I have been with Vivint for almost 2 years now and it has been rocky to say the least. I recently got a second set of panels installed and the process seems stuck. I've called to check on the status and was told that someone who is working on my case will get back to me but the rep didn't know when he would be back in the office and call me. More than 3 weeks later, no call so I now need to call them again. When they installed the second set of panels, they were not supposed to turn off the first set but they did. Now I've been more than 3 months without production during the sunniest part of the year.

I was told that was an error and that I can file for compensation. The rep told me that she cannot guarantee I will be approved for compensation! She also said my system is now online and producing according to the website, I have produced nothing. Like I said above, they have horrible processes, organizational skills and customer service. While the reps I've dealt with have all been polite, they seem to not be very knowledgeable or able to access important information and they don't seem empowered to solve any problems. There have got to be many other better organized and run solar companies out there. Go with one of those.

If I were to do this all over again I would absolutely avoid Vivint Solar and go with a reputable solar company for our panels. Our panels were installed in February 2018 and weren't turned on until August 2018. I still have no idea if Xcel is getting our solar power. We were told they would be active in 4-6 weeks (not 6 months). Communication with Vivint has been poor from start to finish, we were told there was a 'special deal' with Xcel when we were pitched initially, which was just financing, but a way to get us to open our door.

We had a grace period before we started making payments on the non-operational panels but spent 4 months paying for panels that weren't even turned on. When I asked multiple times for money back I was told they would look into it and while they did reimburse me for three months of payments, our system is still not functioning fully and we are paying double for our energy we are still buying and for the panels that I am not sure are fully connected to the grid. I regret not researching this company before agreeing to their 'services'. I do not recommend them.

We're very satisfied with our decision to go solar. We had considered wanting to be self-sufficient as far as energy goes and when we realized that the tax credit was gonna expire next year, we decided to take advantage of that. Enrolling for Vivint Solar and setting up the system was painless and straightforward. There was a lot of steps with permits in the power company, but that was on our part. We had issues shortly after the installation of the system but Vivint Solar was able to get to the bottom of the issue and they were able to respond and correct it, though it took a little bit of doing to fix. Their customer service has answered our questions but oftentimes, they take a long time to respond. But that's because there's a lot of people installing solar right now. Our first bill was only for a partial month but it was substantially reduced. I expect the next bill would be almost nil because we produced more than we consumed.

I’ve been thinking about getting solar services, but I hadn’t really done anymore than that. At the time, I had one set of panels put on but I still had a large true watt amount due after the end of the year. Then a gentleman came by and he asked me how much that was. He was from Vivint and after I answered his question, he said that if we put more panels on, it should reduce the amount way down to much more reasonable amount. So, I ended up getting their service and so far, I'm pretty satisfied with my decision. Everybody was really helpful, polite, and answered all my questions. They’ve been pleasant, offered information, and a lot of times, before I even could ask a question, they were answering. I was very happy with that part of of the process.

When they came to put on the solar panels and they had to make a little hole in my garage wall that came all way through from the outside to the inside, they came back and cleaned up every bit of particles or anything on the inside of the garage and the outside. I was really impressed with that. They did a really good job making it look good. In fact, one of the guys even took some pieces of wood and made a little frame around it, so there weren’t holes at all. After they put the panels on, but I wasn’t able to turn them on until July because that was when it became available. And because it is such a hot summer, I can’t really tell a big difference yet in my bill. But after the cool weather sets in, hopefully, my true watt charges would go way down.

He was a nice and very friendly person and we decided to go with them. But before that, we were approached by many companies in the past years and they didn’t follow through with the solar power. But this particular person was wiling to set up a date, view my property, and set up the equipment.

At first, the salesperson was very cooperative and he made it seem like the transition was gonna be somewhat easy. But my experience with Vivint's reps on the phone from then on wasn’t my idea of communicating with a customer and keeping abreast of the operation and the timeline. I was a manager of solar engineering and of home building, so I know something about organization, and that is my key view about communicating with Vivint Solar's upper echelon. It was very poor. The people didn't return phone calls and it was very frustrating at first.

Other than that, the installation went very smoothly. The workers who were here were very polite, very fast, and very efficient. The clean up done by those fellows was very good as well, so that was a pleasant experience. We went live since the end of June and so far, I’m happy with going solar. The enrollment process was very good and professional, but the application process, especially with Nevada Energy, wasn't so good and I had to wait for about three months for that. However, Vivint was quick in installing the panels, the system, and the control box and it looks good. A girl called and walked me through ensuring that the system was on. I turned on all of the solar control panels, and the system was supposedly turned on on August 8th, but it wasn't on. She didn't mention my fuse box, and I didn't think of it.

I emailed Vivint Solar a couple of days ago and the girl called answering my email. She told me to check the fuse box and I found out that the technician forgot to put on the solar switch. I turned it on, and the system is working now. The power light indicator on the two solar boxes is on and blinking. I checked my account online, and the system is producing. Everybody has been very helpful and there was no cost upfront for the system. I only pay for the electricity that the system produces, which is really good.

The enrollment with Vivint Solar was not bad at all but it took a while to get everything done. We needed a new box because the one we have wasn’t strong enough and all that was done with no expense to us or anything. I decided to go with them because I could get a less expensive gas and electric bill. My first bill was 80 some dollars but last month, it was $139. That was like paying the regular gas and electric bill, so I was quite surprised. I thought the price would not be quite as expensive as I find the monthly bills to be. I was told that I would be paying 16 cents per kilowatt-hour but I didn’t understand if it's kilowatt-hour of production or kilowatt-hour of use. Other than that, no problems have come up that haven’t been addressed and any time I talk to anyone has always been pleasant. Everybody has been pretty nice and the service is good.

We first signed in December and we just got started last month. Vivint Solar told me that it was because of the utility company and their paperwork side of it and them coming to switch out the meter. But Vivint Solar's reps have been very good. They've been very informative and polite.

I am a Vivint Solar customer since December 2017, and they withdraw my monthly payment directly from my bank account. In the last three months, they withdraw my regular bill and then another withdraw the same day for a bigger amount. I contacted by phone customer services, and told me that I didn't have any records of double payments, and asked me to contact the billing department via email with proof from my bank account of the double withdraw. I did what they asked me, and after two weeks, I received an email asking me again for the proof that they withdraw twice my account for the last three months. I called again for the third time to the billing department, and a guy called Jason (not last name, he didn't want to give me one) was rude and didn't gave any solution. Just keep waiting, and when I asked him to speak with a supervisor he put me to his own voicemail. So frustrated with the service.

Well first I'd like to say. The only reason I went with Vivint Solar. Was cause I already had their alarm system. Also sales rep lied to me. Even after giving him a beer and my time. He said I would be credited on power I don't use. So full of crap. Took months before they actually came and set solar system up. They butchered my roof. I had to go up on roof myself. Caulk and tar a few spots after install. Or would of had some leaks. There was pieces of my tongue and groove board. All over my muscle cars in garage. Luckily they had covers on them. Complete hacks! Only thing that they did nice. Was the wiring of panels.

Now I just recently called them to change billing date. Cause they do a automatic withdraw on 20th of every month. I wanted it changed to later date. Since mortgage is due around same time. Just more convenient. No help with this whatsoever. Only billing agency I know that won't help. Tried talking to managers. But they must be on call. Cause I can never get through to them. This whole experience has gotten to be the worst I have ever dealt with. It's sad to cause alarm and solar works great. It keep them forever. But the way they handle things is rude and unprofessional. Customer does not come first with Vivint. Can't wait till contract is over. Getting rid of both for sure. Stay away people.

Anyone considering solar for their homes I do not recommend Vivint Solar. I have had them now for a number of years and have had no problems at all, they have you sign a contract that states you must keep the panels on your roof for a set period of time and if you need them removed there is fee. See it all start when my roof was damaged early this year along with a lot of my neighbors. I turn in the damage to my insurance company they came out, appraised the damage, then I got roofers out to quote the price for replacing it.

Everything was set except for Vivint to come out and remove the panels so my roof could get replaced, it took over a month to get the panels removed and a lot of excuses. The roof was replaced in two days following the removal. I then call them the day they replaced the roof to schedule a time to come out and reinstall the panels it took a month and a half to get them out and then they didn't even get the work done. It took another 6 days before they would come back, I then had to wait another 2 days for the electrician to get out to rewire the panels. Now it's been almost 3 months and the panels are not working. Now I've been told another week or so before tech could be out to check the system. I call **. They want your business but don't want to service you when needed. So be careful in dealing with them.

I have Vivint Home Security. I went online, did a request about solar and Vivint Solar was the first one to contact me. My experience has been a bumpy ride up to now. There has really been poor communication, with emails, names and price missing. I’ve got a lot of questions about the billing now that my bill is coming ‘cause when the guy came out, he told me one price.

When I called, I told them that I got the app downloaded and I asked when my first bill would come out. They said I would not know what my first bill for a while, it would be from this date to this date, then they would send me a bill that I would pay. However, during the sales interview done initially, the guy said what our flat price would be for a month, or at least the first year until the price of per kilowatt went up. Then, they came in, installed the system, but they didn’t really give much information on how to turn it on. The solar has got to be connected to the internet. They put a router in our house and never connected the router. So, the solar was never getting read by Vivint at their headquarters.

Then, my app wasn’t working for about five days, and I had to call them and ask if I turned it on and if there was something wrong. When the guy tried to do some troubleshooting with me, I was told to make sure that the buttons were turned on. I didn't have the button that he was talking about but it was on. He said that we would need to look at the internet and he realized it was not connected. I’m still getting a bill from Nevada Energy, and I’m waiting on my first bill from Vivint Solar which will be relatively interesting.

I also called customer support telling them that the app wasn’t working. I also asked the guy what my stuff needs to read daily for us to meet the requirements to make switching to solar worthwhile. He said that he doesn't know yet. What kind of customer support is that? In addition, they turned off power off at our house which reset our air conditioners, so our air conditioner didn’t come on. Our house was hot for five hours and there was a clown sitting inside the truck while everybody else was working. When they turned off our power, they didn’t explain much of anything other than them saying they were putting their system on. If I’m a business and I wanna be a successful ran business, I would follow up with customers that were unhappy. I haven’t heard from anybody yet. No one has called to follow up to see how things are going.

That app has not worked for weeks and the nature of the calls I have received, while seemingly respectful and responsive, are condescending and self-serving. There appears to be no serious effort to fix the website/mobile app, merely platitudes about how seriously Vivint is taking my complaint. Plus, I can't help but believe by the words used by Vivint regarding my complaint, that they want me to think it is a unique problem only I am experiencing. Am in the process of selling my home which has Vivint Solar panels. Buyer wants panels removed. Spoke to Vivint rep, Austin, regarding removal process. Was given 3 options: 1) "convince buyer to keep panels". 2) "have panels moved to new home" (can't due to it being a condo!). 3) "find someone else who will agree to have panels put on their home"! Was told they cannot move panels to one of their new customers home because panels were specifically made for my home! UH! So how can the panels on my current home be moved to someone else's home?!?

Finding totally UNACCEPTABLE, I asked to speak to a manager. At first, Austin said managers are too busy. Gave me the same spiel again. Insisting on speaking to a manager, finally spoke to Trent, who gave me the same 3 ridiculous options. Vivint needs to provide me with a more reasonable option to have their panels REMOVED. BTW: they informed me that THEY would NOT be removing the panels for option 2 or 3. Are they 'serious'? Do they expect that I magically FIND someone to unhook, remove and dispose or reuse these panels that are Vivint's???

At time of Vivint sales pitch, Dan ** (Vivint sales rep) told me that there would be no problem if potential future buyer did not want to keep solar panels. Was told it would cost $800 for removal. Also, have recently found out that Vivint put a lien on my home, which they never notified me of at time of 'sales pitch'. Am looking for cooperation from Vivint in resolving all of this so I can proceed with the sale of my home!

Based on many of the other low ratings I see, a common issue seems to be the panel temporary removal cost. Like some others, we were told by the sales rep that panel removal for roof repairs would be FREE OF CHARGE, because the integrity of the roof is an important foundation for the solar panels. Unlike many others here, our quoted removal fee was not $500, it was $4,120. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. We brought up the roof issue early on because we knew we would be replacing the roof within 5 years. Vivint did an inspection of our roof, they knew the condition. I had not been up there, but I knew replacement was coming in the near future.

I don't know if Vivint targets poor quality roofs in order to make a little extra cash from the removal process (they probably don't get much from $500, but $4000?), but seeing as this is a common issue shortly after installation, that may be the case. Yes, it will likely happen over a 20-year contract unless the roof was brand new, but most of these complaints seem to be fairly soon into their solar panel contract. And having sales reps tell people free removal and then charging $4,120? Looking into the cost to break the contract. Of course, that isn't explicitly in the contract documentation either.

And to the Vivint rep who responds to all of these to contact customer service - that was obviously the first thing I did. No one seems to know what is going on and they just say I will hear back when they figure it out. Considering we gave well over the 30 days notice before our roof project and already had to push back the replacement due to lack of response from Vivint, customer service has been less than helpful thus far. Is online-reviews@vivintsolar.com really any more responsive than calling customer service or emailing with help@vivintsolar.com (issue was forwarded "to the department who is responsible for this situation")?

My neighbors have Vivint Solar panels installed in their houses. Since I was trying to save money, I decided to look into solar energy services as well. While I'm happy with my decision to go solar, the whole trip with Vivint has been about medium satisfaction. I had it done in two sections. They installed the panels first and later on, they decided that we could add more panels. The first was good. However, in the second one where they added 11 panels, it took them 8 months for a simple job. It was really discouraging. They came out and replaced breakers and then a week later, they called and said they had to replace them again.

When I reached out to them and asked what was going on, they told tell me that they didn't know. So, I told them that it was their people who are doing the job. It seems like they sent incompetent electricians out to do the work. While the installation on the roof went fine, it was the hooking up and getting it going that was the problem. They also said it was the electric company, PG&E, but it's not. The project was managed with great incompetence and it seems like Vivint doesn’t know what one end is doing with the other one. So, I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble getting there but it's a good deal in the end. Other people might consider having somebody install the panels and buy them. Overall, I'm glad I did it.

He kept saying you’ll only pay 15 cents a kilowatt hour, which is true but he left out the part that you pay for production, not usage, which is a huge difference if you’re used to paying based on usage. On June 5, 2018 our panel inverter stopped working. We were notified in July. They sent a tech out to fix it but he said the inverter was bad so he’d have to come back. Vivint scheduled two appointments to fix the inverter and they were no shows!

I took time off work to be at my home and they wasted my time. The third time the guy comes to fix it and says he’s done and leaves. Turns out it wasn’t fixed and here we are August 25 with our solar still not working. In the meantime I’m getting bills from SoCal Edison and then I get “estimated bills” from Vivint! Ya, they are still expecting me to pay for solar panels that haven’t been producing. They keep blowing up my phone and email with bogus bills. They are full of **. They have been very responsive and if I had any problem, it's easy to find a number to call and I would get a good response. However, I'm still getting billed from Nevada Power. I thought I would be paying less to them. But then my system has only started to run mid-June and I understand that these are the hottest months, so it's a lot. I had to leave the air conditioning on a little bit since it's too hot. I'd recommend Vivint Solar.

A salesman initially came to the door and asked if they could rent my roof. I said, “Whoa, what are you gonna do?” They told me about Vivint Solar and I told them that we would try it too. When I married Dorothy, we got it on her house too. We have been using the system for about five years now and we like it. In fact, I've already convinced several people in the area to get it as well. We personally have had an A-1 relationship with Vivint Solar's representatives. But Dorothy’s grandson has had trouble. After they put the system in, they left his roof leaking. They don't want to fix it totally. They want him to pay half and they would pay half but that doesn’t seem right. It has been a year already and it still has not been taken care of. Otherwise, we are happy with Vivint Solar. My bill is less than it used to be because it is less per kilowatt.

A rep of Vivint Solar, Juan came to the door and my husband talked to him. The rep said it wouldn't cost us anything to start going solar and everything else costs a fortune. The enrollment with Vivint was pretty easy. I called their customer service reps once. The installation was fast and the team did a pretty good job. Going solar is saving a lot but I'm confused because I have not seen any reduction in price. I'm paying Vivint instead of paying Edison. And it's hot as a heck out here, so with the air conditioner, I know I'm using more power.

I paid my previous electricity provider $13 because evidently, Vivint said anything over what I've been producing, I would pay. But other than that, Vivint is getting most of it. The reps said that I should be paying a lot less come winter but I don't know if that means I would still be paying a lot less to California Edison. I'm worried about how much I was paying Cal Edison as opposed to how much I'm paying Vivint. But anyway, next summer when I will have so much banked power, I will be paying less. It just wasn't explained to me when we came on board how Vivint's system operates. But if that works out, then that's fine. Go with Vivint if you don't have a lot of money.

Do your research before engaging with Vivint. We engaged with Vivint in December 2017 after one of their salespeople knocked on the door. The promise is that it will cut your electric bill by at least 25% and it's good for the environment and helps manage energy on the grid. All good things, right? The process to go live took almost 8 months, we were finally live in July 2018. Along the way, it became clear that they are a disjointed company and the focus is on signing people up vs. delivering a quality experience. They had to reinstall the panels after I was told by their internal inspector that "the crew that installed these panels sucks". So they came back and reinstalled and reconfigured 2 additional times. Then failed the inspection with the county. There would be weeks without any communication from anyone there.

Since we went live, our overall Electric costs have increased significantly. In fairness, it may take some time to see the savings, but we are skeptical based on our overall experiences with them. Also they use a 3rd party billing company which is terrible. There is no transparency into what you are being billed for, you just have to trust them, as payment can only set up for autopay from credit card or bank account. Your monthly amount shows up a couple of days before it is due, making budgeting difficult. Also the link to the terms and conditions for autopay is broken. I asked customer service to forward it to me and he said "this is basically what it says..." I asked that I get a copy and he told me to pull my contract as the terms are in there. The general attitudes there are that they don't really care about their customers. I would not sign up with Vivint. This company is shady.

My parents got solar through Vivint and we live only 15 minutes away, so we had the same sales rep. We'd been considering getting a solar energy service for a few years and it was just a matter of timing. The house that we live in was my grandmother's, and we were doing a rent-to-own so we couldn't do anything until we actually bought the house. The installation took less than a day. The guys came at about 8:00 AM, and they were gone before 1:00 o'clock. They were quick and they didn't leave a mess. They cleaned everything up well and were very professional.

In addition, our sales rep was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She came over three times. The first time she came over was to explain everything. The next time she came was after they did the light readings for our roof, and then to explain what we would be getting. And then, she came by after the panels were installed to see how the installation went and how we felt. She made sure that we are satisfied. While the customer service has been great, the only thing was that about a month after we turned our solar panel on, they called to say that we could do it. So they got the memo after we did it.

So far, I'm satisfied with my decision to go solar. Our BGE bill has gone down considerably. We are on a payment program and it's like flexible billing so it keeps our bill the same over a few months. Although we're still paying that down from last winter, it's paying down a lot faster now 'cause they change the bill quarterly, depending on our usage. Once we have last winter's stuff completely paid off, we won't be getting much in the way of a bill from them. Vivint was great to work with, and the panels look great. We've recommended them to quite a few people already.

Vivint came out to our house a few years ago and installed solar panels. Everything seemed to go fine. Last year we had an issue with the panels not working. They told us that they would monitor them and contact us if that ever happened. We found out and had to tell them. We had to wait two months for a repair appointment. When they came, the switch on the system was found to be in the "off" position. Nobody in our house touched the switch - we didn't even know there was one! We were originally hesitant about having the panels installed due to the known age of our roof. We knew it would need to be replaced in a few years.

We were told by the rep that they would write us a $500 check to cover the cost of the removal and replacement of the panels when we were ready to do the roof. I contacted them yesterday to schedule the removal and was told it would cost $2600! When I told them of what the agreement was, I was told that I needed to send them a copy of their check and proof in writing of this agreement because my rep no longer worked there. I have a feeling I'll be calling the Attorney General's office in the near future!

The township got everything set up, and Vivint was the only one holding everything up. Once we were approved by the township, it shouldn't take that long for us to be up and running. But their customer service team was good. We got a new air conditioner and one of the wires was wrong. Vivint sent somebody right away and fixed that problem. The only complaint I have is that if I'm up and running and then I sign someone up with them, I should get $250. I signed a friend up but when I called the people at Vivint, no one ever got back to me. Other than that, the overall experience was good.

In the next six years, I’m looking at retirement and I wanna fix up my house with equipment. I also wanted to knock my electric bill down. The last couple of months I'd been very positive about Vivint Solar. But yesterday, I looked at my bill and I was a little disappointed. My BG&E bill was down $50 and for the last couple of months, that’s what I’ve been getting. Everything in my house is electric and I don’t have any gas in there. My electric bill used to be $322 to $335. I called Vivint to check my bill and I asked the lady on the line to read me my bill. She told me my bill was $216. When I added the $49 to that, it ran to $266 total. My total came down by $60, but the salesman told me they were gonna cut my bill in half.

I wanna give it a little more time and see what the bill is gonna be this summer. I’m still optimistic about it. Also, there are so many things that are involved with the paperless thing. Sometimes you wanna go on the website, but you have trouble with all these glitches and you cannot easily log on. I’m old school and I wanna see my bill. Vivint should think about us before they start making things paperless.

They checked with the town and also checked how old is our roof and if it is qualified. They took it from there and it was very easy. The staff has been very good too. They answered the phone and I didn’t get a recording. A guy from Vivint Solar came to the door and we were told that we were gonna save money through them, so we enrolled. All went well during the enrollment with Vivint Solar. We were kept informed, people were calling, and I was getting emails asking how we were doing. Everything was wonderful and I felt like I was being treated very well. Then all of a sudden, after the equipment was installed, it was like we dropped off the face of the earth. I called the customer service regarding the problem we were having and the young lady who I spoke to was very nice but she couldn’t help me.

Then, we had some problem with the equipment and it took two and a half weeks for somebody to come out here. The service technicians came out the day before yesterday and they were nice guys. But they took a look at the equipment and said, “Well, it must be this.” They didn’t check anything and didn’t put any meters. And now, I'm told that it was gonna be a week to get the parts and it could be another two and a half weeks after that to get a service technician out here to make the repair.

Fo far, the equipment has only been on for about two months and the overall experience with Vivint Solar has been about half and half. On the first month, everything was going well and the first bill was only for half a month. But on the second bill that we got, the usage is somehow excessive. It went up from four years worth of data from PG&E and up to 125 kilowatt hours per month difference. Up until three weeks ago, I was very happy with Vivint Solar. But now, I'm not so happy and I'm very disappointed with their whole service.

Vivint Solar did a door to door in my area. I wasn’t going to sign up with them, but they offered up a signing bonus and I reconsidered. The salesperson was top-notch in terms of wanting to track down answers for me and allay any fears or concerns. We’ve been turned on since mid-June and he just came by to see how everything was going.

I have positive feelings about the local customer service guys. But they were vague and there was a fair amount of time when the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing. However, during the enrolment, I felt pressured. The salespeople were probably under a certain amount of duress to get people signed up. There was also a fair amount of left hand not knowing what’s going on with the right hand to be done. They changed the design after I signed the contract on the panels and didn’t tell me until they went out to put them on. And they wanted to move some from the front to the back. So, I called and spoke to my salesperson who picked up on the fact that they changed the number of panel and I didn’t pick up on that.

They installed two fewer panels than what was on the contract. They had to come back and do another installation which took entirely too long in my estimation given the fact that they were trying to get us booked before December 31. It wasn’t until February when they came back to install the additional panels that they inadvertently didn’t put in the first place which then pushed everything else back. Having this as their mistake, they should’ve found a way to get out here sooner.

Also, I have an issue with respect to the conducting of business generally. They told me I had to have an auto debit from my account in order to pay which I refused since I’ve had a bad experience with that. I had to give them my bank account number which I wasn’t comfortable with and a copy of my deposit slip upon signing up. Then, it was very difficult to get it stopped. Yet I was told that I had to do it since that was what it said on our contract. I read the contract and had a whole bunch of questions, some of which neither my salesperson nor the person he called to consult with me had ever been asked before. One of those was based on the contract that I didn’t have to auto debit and that I could write them a check. But then, the only way was to give them my bank account.

After I did that, they said I could go in and take out that information once I set up my online account and I would not get billed until my system was turned on. It was a little bit of a hassle because they didn’t need it in the first place. I called customer service to figure out how to get into where I take out the information out. The software system is not very intuitive and I had to go through a process that I’m enrolling in something to go in to be able to take the information out.

I had to call customer service to figure out how to even get into where I take out the information out. I actually had to go through a process that I’m enrolling in this to go in to be able to take it out. The software system was not very intuitive.

After I took the information out, I started getting auto emails from them saying that they noticed that I took the information out and that I better replace it because that was part of the contract. Then when I get turned on, I got an email saying I got a bill. But when I looked at it, there was no statement. There was apparently a communication issue or they thought they proactively sent me an email saying, “We’re coming out to take a look at your system after it’d been turned on because we’re getting a code from your inverter.”

I followed up and said, “Explain to me how this works. I need to understand how you find this out.” I got some good information from a tech person who took the time and explained how I could read the production stats on the website. The guy came out, said there was nothing wrong and that it didn’t communicate until next week. But they couldn’t tell me why it wasn’t communicating. It’s not that it wasn’t producing power anymore but it was not telling Vivint it was producing power. And that was the time I was trying to pay my bill. Someone then would have to come out which could take another three days for someone to schedule to come out and fix the problem.

Apparently, all my historical information was gone. So, I had nothing to marry my bill to. They said, “It’s still there. You just see it through a different portal than what we see it.” But I said that I wasn’t paying until I could marry it up with statistics that I could see. The guy then came for problems which they thought were there but it turned out there weren’t.

And then, a whole week after it had been communicating, which was not because of what the guy did, it stopped which I found out when I was trying to pay my bill. I said, “How is it that the fact I’m not communicating isn’t popping up on some operations person, an exception report on a daily basis, that this has been for eight days now that there’s been no communication?” They said they had a ton of customers. I know there could be a number of reasons why something couldn’t rectify itself and that only until they get to a certain number of days could they start paying attention that maybe there is a problem. So I had to, on a much more interim basis, log in and see if everything was okay which as a little onerous for the consumer to do.

Another thing of note is that they have a third party billing group that handles the invoices and payments, and that their website makes it look like it’s them, because it’s a seamless interface. There is no mechanism through this third party billing for me to pay online without being enrolled and having something stored for auto pay. So, after I got through all this, took my stuff out, got someone to email me an invoice because I couldn’t communicate, I went back in to try to pay my bill, I couldn’t do it without putting in the information and re-enrolling in auto pay. So, I ended up calling the billing department and paying manually.

On the other hand, I also had extenuating circumstance after the panels were installed but before we got the permission to turn it on. I found that I had moisture behind my siding in one area. So, I replaced all of my siding. That became a little problematic since the panels had already been installed on the roof. It didn’t impact the siding, but all the piping coming down from the panels down to the fuse box is on the side of the house, and the inverter box. They had to come off the house in order for the siding folks to be able to put the new siding on. I thought that it was gonna be a huge deal and that they were gonna charge me to come out and do that, but they didn’t. So, I was pleasantly surprised at that.

Based on the things that we’ve been through just to get turned on and to get things situated with them, if I could do it over again, I wouldn’t because it wasn’t worth the signing bonus. With respect to the ongoing savings versus the electrical, it’s too soon to tell because I’ve only had one bill with them. And although my experience with the people that I dealt with has been, by and large, very positive, the fact that I had to speak to as many people as I’ve spoken to was not. They’re probably not just adeptly equipped to deal with a paralegal such as myself. Nevertheless, I’m hopeful as to the savings that I would realize since it’s too soon to tell. And although my ongoing relationship with Vivint has been a little up and down, it will now become seamless.

Once they installed the panels I was out of the state, and the Vivint representative made an appointment to have the city inspector and their crew member show up at my house. The representative never spoke directly with me on the phone and never got my consent for anyone to go on my property. Luckily I had my husband make it home in time to make sure our dogs were safely put up. If he wasn't home they could of let my dogs out and I would of been heartbroken. When I told our sales rep he goes oh, most houses' electric panels aren't behind a gate. No I'm sorry, or I will call them and let them know they need consent.

I've been happy with Vivint Solar. I looked into SolarCity and another provider at the start, but Vivint was having a promotion that happened to be good then. I have two accounts with them. The first account, the panels were done almost two and a half years ago. Then, another gentleman came and said that they could put more panels on the south-facing side because of the new Massachusetts lines.

During the enrollment, what Vivint did was very good. They were very timely. However, the whole process was slow, although it wasn't all of Vivint's fault. I know that most of it was making appointments with the city inspectors and them wanting certain things from Vivint. The original setup was almost five months from when I signed up, and the last time, it took two and a half months for the add-on. And it was because it wasn't a full inspection and they did not need to do the rafters again.

The installation team that came was excellent. Also, the techs have been very professional any time they've been here. However, it seemed like I put on these new panels and I'm paying more. I've been meaning to call Vivint Solar because I noticed that the bills were getting higher. I know I paid them so much that's being produced, but I thought I would see more credits from the electric company. I also don't understand why I'm getting only one billing instead of two.

Had solar panels installed at our house in fall of 2016 with promise of service by January of 2017. Due to sheer incompetence and lack of interest by company employees, there was no urgency to get PECO (our energy provider) to visit our home to finalize the programming. We spent 2 winters with monthly bills in the $1000/month range from PECO. We did not get solar service at our house until July of 2018 and only after a complaint we filed with BBB. Tellingly we had a PECO agent at our house within 48 hours of our accepted complaint to the BBB. We felt we were hostages to their ineptitude since we had allowed the panels to be installed. My wife and I are longtime residents and family practice physicians in our community with an extremely busy practice. We would never refer ANYONE to Vivint Solar.

When the salesperson came to my house he told me and my wife that the panels will generate enough energy that my electric bill will cost me less than $5 and if I was not happy with those panels they would come to my house and take them down. Guess what, my bill is higher than before so I want them out of my roof. When I call Vivint they said I’m locked in for 20 years. What kind of a joke is this? Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Everything is getting expensive and here I am with fixed income. When you are in that position, you look for ways to cut corners, to save money and be able to survive. The solar reps were saying that they'll be saving me some money so I explored that idea and got two solars from Vivint. The system works but those things that they promised that I will make and I will save are not as much as what they had promised. Nevertheless, getting the system was easy, exciting and fun.

However, I told salesperson I was moving next year when I was considering signing up and he told me it was 495 dollars to move the equipment... "Don't worry". I should have read the 27 page document. Now I am trying to move and I have an option of 32,000 to buy out contract or thousands to move equipment. And there is a Lien on my house. They call it a UCC but it IS a lien. I have tried to get arbitration as they require in contract and they don't call back. I speak to nice people who give me numbers and tell me to call and... No reply. I've left numerous messages for Legal... No reply. I emailed... No reply. I've spent hours on hold attempting to resolve without a lawyer. I'm now out of options, can't sell my house, can't move until resolved.

James, a Vivint Solar sales rep came to the door and he was a super nice, young man. We talked and we told him we were told that we couldn’t put the system on our roof. Way back, an individual came and said they couldn’t put solar on our roof because we had a very good roof. It was a brand new roof but it was lightweight tiles and if they stepped on it, they were gonna break the tiles. James said they could put the system. He talked to us, convinced us and we went with them. We told Vivint about the roof and they said they’d be very careful. They broke the tiles and had to replace 90% of the tiles. So not only do we get solar, we had gotten a nice little roof, which we love.

We're very satisfied with Vivint Solar and they are unbelievably good, but there have been a few times where we wished that they had gotten it moving faster. We have two systems. The first system was up and running in four months, but we’re not hooked up to the second system yet. We haven’t got it working until maybe next week and it has been months. Plus, once they get it going, they still have the city to worry about. Other than that, they’ve been perfect.

John, a representative, came around while they were hooking up the system until we had gotten settled down. He’s a really good rep and not a politician. When we called him, he would get back over here and we would talk about what was going on. We tell friends that they should give Vivint Solar a good look and to have John come by and explain the system to them. It cuts our cost in half and they’re not charging us anything. You can’t beat that.

We're retired citizens, but it worked out. The bill is definitely lower than what it would be. We're in a very high heat period right now in triple digits and the bill is significantly lower than what we had before. A number of our friends have their own systems, but not everyone is the same. I was granted a loan through the Hero program in June 2017 for a substantial amount to cover the cost of solar plus a back up battery. Everything went smooth and by August 2017 everything was just about in place. So In September 2017 Hero paid Vivint Solar in full for the work. I was told that I would be operational anywhere from 4 to 17 weeks after install. So I waited, and I waited, and I'm still waiting as of July 27, 2018. I have reached out to so many people including CEO David Bywater. But mostly with the advocate team, which is a dead giveaway that this company has problems.

My first annual payment is due Nov. 1, which is 15 months after install. And since the Hero program is tied to my escrow, I have no choice but to make this payment or risk losing my home. I think Vivint Solar takes advantage of that fact and doesn't want to offer me any kind of help towards my bill. Had my solar been running since January 2018 like I was told this would be a non issue, but I feel like Vivint Solar is taking advantage of the situation. In my opinion Vivint Solar is committing fraud by selling me a product that a year later is not even working! So I urge anybody thinking about Solar to find another company, any company, please. This whole experience has turned Into a nightmare.

Vivint’s sales agents are great. They have an amazing customer service. They really show you they care about helping you save money by going solar. But it only lasts until you sign the contract, when you have issues all they do is transfer you from department to department and all the agents have something different to tell you. It's like if the agents were making the rules and policies as they please. Now the secure system is always crashing and all they offer is troubleshoot and reboot the devices and everything stays the same. Honestly I don’t recommend Vivint at all. I can show pictures of my utility bills and my Vivint bills if anyone thinks I’m lying.

I have had the panels on my roof for 5 years now. The first two years were okay. In spring of year 3, I noticed that my gutters were pulled off of the house a bit. So I climbed the latter and tacked them back up. On year 4 same thing happened, so this time I paid to have them professionally fixed. I kept an eye out over the winter and noticed that when the snow melts on my roof it slides off the panels rather quickly and damages the gutters. I called Vivint Solar to let them know of the problem. On that call I was advised that the snow guard can fix this problem but it will be an additional charge. At that point I made an argument that this should have been brought to my attention at the time of install. The damage that was done to my home was the fault of Vivint. The manager then told me that snow damage will not be covered by them.

I was totally against solar and had no intentions of ever having it until a Vivint Solar representative gave me a different understanding of it. He also offered to me something that I could not have afforded had the plan been the norm where you have to buy and care for the panels or lease them. Then during the enrollment, I never thought that I was going through any formal situation. I didn’t feel like I was signing my life away or getting into something that was that I would later regret. Instead, it was like a conversation on how it would go.

So far, I'm very pleased. I even have four friends who got the service because of my feelings about it. But the biggest flaw in the system is that every installer tells the customer something different and it had been very confusing. In some cases, it even caused me anguish. When my installer installed the system, he told me that he had turned it on and that I should leave it on until all the paperwork was done. On the other hand, the installers expressed to my friends that, absolutely without exception, were they to turn the system on until every i was dotted and every t was crossed. I felt like I didn’t do anything wrong ‘cause I followed what my installer said. But my friends were frustrated that they couldn’t turn theirs on. It created some friction between my friends and I have been real unhappy about that.

Also, when the first two of my friends had all passed and were done with the formalities of filing, I called Vivint Solar's line and it said right on there that if you recommend anyone and they do get the system, you're due a bonus. I called about it and Vivint Solar confirmed that they had that system in place and said that I would be refunded. But the young man, whom my original contract was with, said that it would come out of his commission. So I had to call Vivint back and they said no. There is a policy in place for the bonuses to come from the company.

With the first two people that I recommended, it took six months from the time that they started the process before I got the bonus. There were so many places where Vivint Solar dropped the ball. I had to call and ask about the bonuses or I would have never gotten them. And it’ll probably be 2019 before I get paid for the two newest ones. That has to be really looked at. If they're offering this kind of an incentive but you have to wait six months for the incentive, that is not acceptable. That is my frustration.

If not for the free installation, I wouldn't have done Vivint Solar. Enrolling with them was a lengthy process, but that was because the city inspector and PG&E inspector had to come by at some point and double check everything. So all in all, it was still workable. However I found it very difficult to maneuver their website. For first time users, it’s very complicated. I’ve had trouble logging in a couple of times and it's been difficult to find out how much I owe from month to month. But I guess the more I've dealt with it, it has become simpler. Also, I've already gotten two bills since I've been with the company and the savings has been minimal. That would be a negative thing if you had to pay for the installation. I would recommend that people talk to a Vivint Solar salesperson and get all of the information.

Doing solar benefits the environment, so I started researching about it and I kept thinking that I'd do it if I was gonna stay in the house. Vivint came around the neighborhood several years ago and we were thinking about selling our house. Felix was going up and down the street talking to people about solar and I said to him that I was interested in it, but I was getting ready to sell my house. He said to give them a call if I reconsider about selling my house.

So, I watched some of my neighbors had it done. I asked my neighbor across the street how doing solar helped him compared to electricity and he said he is only paying 12 cents for his kilowatt, whereas before, he was paying 19 which is a big difference. Also, their electric company sends them bills that says they're storing $80 worth of electricity for them since they have bad winters, so the electric company will have to start putting electricity back where the solar can’t. Then, I couldn’t find another house that I like, so I decided not to sell. I went across the street, got the phone number and I called the person. I said I was interested in having solar put on my house and he said they would send somebody over to talk to me.

John came and he explained everything to us. He said they'd do a satellite image of my roof and he'd come back with whatever the engineer’s design for my roof. He came back and showed us the design for the front of the house. I said that my house gets full sun all around and he said he would take it back to them and see what else they could do. Thereafter, he came back and he showed me the design again. He said I'd have panels on the front and on the back, and people would be coming around and check if the attic could sustain the weight of the panels. They'd go to the city and get all the permits that they need. Then, they would notify my electric company, and they would have to come and change my meter. He said they would take care of all that and the electric company would call me and tell me that they would be coming or send me an email saying I'm all set.

I had gone to these home shows and I had talked to people about solar, and I had asked them how it works. One guy said they'll come in, assess my house and they'll tell me what is best for me. I asked him what if I decide to sell my house and he said it would not work since their contract is with me, but they could put the panels to the new house. However, he's not giving me the answers that I want and he doesn’t seem that interested, so I’m moving down. On the other hand, John was able to answer all the questions I asked. I asked him what if I decide to sell my house after I’ve decided not to sell it, and he said that the service is transferable.

Hi there. I'm writing this to let everyone who is reading reviews about Vivint Solar to stay away. We had them install the panels in July of 2014. We ended up with an issue with mold due to poor installation. My attic is infested with black mold and my a.c handler as well to the point where it was condemned to use. We discovered this issue in December of 2017 and we were in contact with Vivint immediately to have them fix the issue and they kept on giving us a runaround for 3 months costing us 4,000.00 to try stopping the mold from coming through our bedrooms and bathrooms.

We been having really bad allergies, respiratory issues for quite some time not knowing what was the cause of these issues, now it's all starting to make sense to why we are all have these medical issues - it's due to the infestation of the mold. We have sent them letters from our physicians explaining the severity of the medical issues and they still haven't reached out to us to try to help us. We are in July and still no contact from them so we hired an attorney to help us resolve these issues. Mind you, we tried doing this directly through Vivint without seeking counsel and they just kept stringing us along. Have tons of pics that I wish I could share on here.

We had a Vivint Solar salesman come to the door one day and I gave him the brush off but he was pleasantly persistent. He didn't pressure me but when he started giving me the details on going solar, it seemed like a good deal. The salesman, Richard, tried to tip the account up in November. And in January, they came out and did installation towards the end of January. By April, the city came out with their inspection and they passed it. Then further along the end of April or May, the electric company, PNM, came out and they failed it twice for some dumb reasons because the meter was too high. And when they came out one time, it wasn't turned on and Vivint won't turn it on which was stupid. They turned it on last June ninth and they put the meter in less than five months.

They installed it and they were up almost all day and it was good quality work that they did. I contacted Vivint about the receipt. It's a flat roof that they put them on and the panels are like a regular kind of roof so, there is a little spot that they get under there. Vivint said that if I see a problem, they gave me a quote like pigeons proofing around the panels, they will keep an eye on it.

Vivint’s customer service was more than helpful but they could be clearer that I would pay the amount of power that it generates. It could have been explained a little better. I don't have a $30,000 to loan out on solar panels. So far, I got my first PNM bill with the solar subtracted and it was like $89, which at this time of year I'd pay PNM about $350 with subtracted money. They haven't taken it out of my account yet but I saw the Vivint bill was gonna be like $96. So, for $180 compared to $350, I think I made a wise decision. Also, this time of the year, we’re using so much for air in a 100-degree weather and I could overdraft it but Vivint could save me 50%. All in all, I would recommend Vivint Solar.

The recent experiences with Vivint Solar have shown me how inept and incapable this company is at providing basic customer service needs. They are not only scamming people, but deceiving people into signing 20 year contracts. In May 2018 we needed to have our roof repaired. Vivint Solar charged $500 dollars to have the solar panels removed and stored. We were unaware we would be charged this amount. The original sales representative that came to our house, Adam ** (who currently does not work with the company), assured us that if we needed the panels removed Vivint would do it free of charge. Vivint Solar denied this claim and so we were stuck with the $500 bill. It's whatever because we needed to have the panels removed for our roof to be fixed.

Getting a team of installers to visit the house to remove and re-install the panels has been mind-numbing insanity. Their schedule windows are never in a few days or week. Rather 3-4 weeks or sometimes months even if there ever is an emergency with the panels or your ceiling starts. At this time I was scheduled to have the panels put back on July 18th 2018. It is now July 20th and after countless calls we still DO NOT have our panels on our roof.

For the past two months I haven't been getting any solar energy and I'm stuck with a bill from both the electric company and from Vivint. I am losing money for every day the panels aren't up. We are unable to do anything because we are tied into the 20 year contract and to remove the panels completely requires us to buy the panels from Vivint outright. Working with Vivint makes me not want to deal with another solar panel company. I like to think that not all companies act like Vivint Solar and treat their customers with respect.

I’ve been bombarded with lots of solar offers and over time, talking with friends who decided to get solar, I decided I would look into it closer. Then Steven, a Vivint Solar representative, happened to come along at an opportune time. Enrolling with Vivint Solar was straightforward and didn’t require a lot of effort. And Steven was very good at keeping me informed and he would come out to the house if he needed me to sign something or email it to me.

Vivint Solar couldn’t control the entire timeline, but they gave me a thoroughly realistic idea of how long it would take and they also told me where the delays would come. The entire process took a little over two months, though it happened within the time frame that they indicated. They managed expectations well. And now, we’ve just finished the first billing cycle and I’m very pleased. It was a smooth and trouble-free experience.

My wife had a strange encounter with door to door salesman from this company. He said he wanted to give her info for the program and she agreed -- so he said he needed to come inside the house. She refused of course, and told him, "Just show me your info or give me a brochure but you certainly are NOT coming IN." He said "I understand because you don't know me." And then still attempted to come in. She again told him he could share info with her but not enter. He insisted he needed to be invited in to "sit down with her at a table" - she told him that was ridiculous. He could show her from the tablet in his hand. He kept saying he just wanted to sit at a table so she told him she was no longer interested.

He got mad and walked away saying "well we don't need people to be interested." What kind of sales rep demands entry after he just showed up on the doorstep? (It's certainly not the same as when a homeowner contacts a business first and ASKS for a rep to come out.) There is absolutely no reason that he should try to insist on gaining entry. If your people can't carry a clipboard or just leave info because you "don't need people to be interested" then stop knocking on doors.

Not me!! Well apparently you pay for the power you produce... Shouldn’t you BE paid for the power you produce?? We received a $300 solar bill... for 1 month!!! I have NEVER paid a $300 electric bill. It is just my husband and I that live in the house. We work all day and go to bed early. We are very conservative of all utilities!!! This company is a scam and I recommend you RUN AWAY!!! We moved over here and it was much hotter than where we moved from. And we didn’t wanna have over $200 electric bills so we started looking into solar. We saw Vivint Solar at a home and garden show and we enrolled with them. We met with Eric, who was wonderful. He got us to do some paperwork and took care of it from there. He was very knowledgeable and the other person I talked to was as well so, there was no confusion. We knew what we were getting into. I had an excellent experience dealing with their customer service team. We were up and running in less than three weeks, which was a real surprise and it’s really working. We have been using it a lot in the last month because it was so hot. We just got our first bill after using the air conditioner and we had the gas bill for $25. We're extremely satisfied with our decision to go solar and I would highly recommend Vivint Solar.

I heard about Vivint Solar through a friend, and I knew solar was coming back to Las Vegas, so I had vetted a bunch of companies. I went with them because their operation was in-house, and everything was in-house. It has been great, and they catered to what I wanted as far as where my panels went and where my meter went. And then they coordinated with me to get all the interconnection done, so it was good. Enrolling with them was super simple, too. What I had liked about it was it didn't take long. No one overstayed their welcome. Customer service has been very good as well. I don't think I've waited on hold longer than a minute or two minutes if I called.

We’ve been interested in getting solar energy and the product that they have where you didn’t have to buy the solar panels. That’s something that we enjoy because my parents have solar energy, but they bought theirs and I couldn’t afford that. Vivint Solar had their plan and it sounded like a good deal so we decided to try it. It was pretty easy to jump in and get it done. They did all the work for us. It was just mainly a waiting game with the Nevada Energy approving everything. But other than that, Vivint on their end was great. Any time I have a problem, they fix it right away. They’re real easy to deal with. We’re still fairly new with the process but it has been fine. We like the feature of being able to look online to see how much energy we produced. My husband does that a lot. So he really likes it.

The enrollment process with Vivint Solar was very quick, and I was surprised. Their BBB reviews say that Vivint Solar takes about four months to get connected, but, for me, I didn’t feel that way. The process still took longer but it depended on the electric company. I had ECE and they sent me the paperwork that Vivint Solar was approved, so everything was okay and it took a little over two months to get it turned on. I’m glad that I have it on. However, nobody has explained to me how this works and I didn’t get a follow-up phone call. And when I wanted to look at my bill, it just shows the amount, and I don’t understand it.

So far, my experience with Vivint Solar is okay, but their customer service sucks. I called one time trying to find out how to read the kilowatt online because I didn’t understand it. When I log in, I wanna know what kW/h means. The rep said, “I don’t know.” I asked how I am supposed to understand all of this and she said she wasn't sure. I asked if she could give me a brochure, but she said that they didn’t have anything. It was useless. I called and tried to understand their online, but no one could help me, not even a tutorial nor a pamphlet.

Normally, online stuff is easy to figure out but their statement does not state from what day to what date. I couldn’t open anything, so it’s something that needs to be improved. The customer service also needs to be more informed about their company because they work for solar. I was asking a simple question to help me understand and to guide me understand step-by-step the online, but I couldn’t get that help. I had cousins asking me how it goes and I told them that I don’t know if this works for me, although I hope it does. Also, in the beginning phase, the guy who came to my house was very knowledgeable, nice, and honest, but after he left the account to Vivint Solar, they just fell apart from there.

My BG&E gets lowered and eventually over peak seasons, I have to pay Vivint. And it helps to build up. I explained to them that I'm paying bills to them and to the BG&E company together, and it was more than what I was paying before. And, I thought it would go down. It did went down but then, it came up. I'm okay with it, but I still want to see more of an improvement because I was on Budget Billing before with BG&E and I was fine with that. But by Vivint telling me that this would help save in the long run, that's something I've yet to see. Also, I'm trying to get my bill set up. They told me to go on to the website and do this and that. And I tried doing that and I was trying to find my actual bill because I was trying to see what the progress on this thing and how I can lower my payment even more. I really want to know how to do that.

We got solar energy for two reasons. One is that if we get enough solar juice coming in, we can save on the electric bill. Also, it’s better for the environment since we're not using fossil fuels to heat and cool the house. We had a contractor we hired several years ago to repair our roof and he was happy with Vivint Solar that he had used. So, we checked Vivint and went with them, too.

We had a person talk to us face-to-face in the installation and on the second time where we had additional solar panels installed three months ago, we were able to do all the consultation and talking with the Vivint Solar representative via the internet and through phone calls. There were also some paperwork involved and once all the solar panels were up, we got the approval if they were done legally. A state representative had to come out and look at it and give their thumbs up. That took a little while and once that was done, the state was a little slow in getting back with Vivint as far as telling them everything was okay, that we could turn on the system and start using it. That was the only real hiccup to the whole process.

Other than that, everything went smoothly, and the installers were courteous, professional, let us know that they were there and what they were gonna do. In addition, the individuals we talked to via phone calls and on the internet with Vivint Solar customer service were very personable, conversational, really knew their stuff, and always checked in with us during the installation process and the approval process to make sure that everything was good and we were still happy with the service. After the initial installation two years ago, we saw about 20-30% decrease in our energy bill. Now that we have additional solar panels up, we’re looking forward to seeing more. They've been really, really good to us.

More importantly it meant the solar system was not generating any power. When I contacted Vivint the customer support person requested I go out to the control panel to press some buttons, but to no avail. He then checked to see when he could schedule a service call, To my amazement he informed me it would not be until 7//26/18! This totally unacceptable. They should have a customer support system large enough to support its product in a timely manner (less than two days) Max. Very disappointed.

I recently bought a house and it came with solar panels. We didn't want them but had to keep them... Fine. Day 1 was able to set up auto pay and view my bill online... No issues yet. Problem 1. I set up auto pay before my bill was due (bill is due the 20th of the month) and made a payment. Immediately after I made the payment on June 12th I called customer service and asked if I will be charged June 20th when the auto pay kicks in. Was told I will not be charged again because "Your account will be at $0." Fantastic. Thanks!! June 20th comes along and lo and behold a charge on my CC for $199. So obviously I call and they say, "Oh well your payment wasn't applied yet so auto payment kicked in." Wonderful! So that means I've paid $400 in a 2 week span... Lucky me!

Problem 2... My main issue. After I set up my account and auto pay about 3 weeks later I logged into my account and wanted to see if my second payment for $199 was on my statement as a credit (already asked about getting that money back on my CC and got the run around). So I log in. Click on "Manage Payments" ... automatically redirecting you to the payments center... then nothing! I'm sent right back to the dashboard with the graphs. I call and speak to someone in the technology department and I’m told "Miss this is a known issue on a few customers account, we understand it’s frustrating and we are working on the issue. Should be resolved shortly and if not we will give you a call back." This was a month ago. Haven't heard from anyone.

Then I speak to someone in customer service who said "hmm this isn't a known issue to me, nor do I see any tickets about it... let me log one for you. You will get a call back or an email". Fantastic!... No call no email. So I call again. This time I call the billing department. Why not? Haven't tried them yet. "Did you shut your pop up blocker off". Man why didn’t I think of that?! Nope. Didn't work. I ask if I can have a bill emailed to me. "You should be getting that and a statement every month". Ummm. I get JACK every month. When I call I have to verify my phone number and my email so clearly they have that info so not sure why I’m not getting any emails from these people. I crack up every time I see the Refer a friend and get $250!! I'm going to start to refer people I don't like so they have to go through the ringer!

Vivint Solar is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with as a consumer and allowing them to install solar panels on my home was the biggest mistake I ever made as a property owner. Vivint representatives (most, not all) have been unprofessional and incompetent, and some have been completely unethical, which appears to be the professional ethos at Vivint. In June 2017, Vivint installed solar panels on my roof causing extensive damage across the entire surface where the panels were installed. They have not taken steps to have this damage repaired in order to stop water infiltration through the roof into my home, which has caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to my home. They have offered to reimburse me for maybe a tenth of the costs to repair the damage.

For those who haven't experienced leaks *yet* just wait. Most of you will at some point and Vivint will do little to nothing to take care of the problems. For some of you, depending on your state of residence, there are legal options outside of arbitration, despite what dishonest Vivint reps may tell you. First of all, contact your homeowners insurance agent, and make complaints to the state Attorney General, against their contractor's license, with the BBB, etc. Post your experience on social media. Contact local media outlets who do stories on companies that take advantage of consumers. Talking to a lawyer is always a good idea, if only for a consultation about your rights and how to recover damages in a legal action. If you are considering getting solar panels, I implore you to stay away from Vivint.

My experience with Vivint Solar started off fine but now it's been going terribly. When the salesman was here, I signed up for autopay. I got online April the 29th and had a little of dough of 30 dollars. A couple of weeks later, I got a phone call that I was delinquent on my payment. I told them that that shouldn't be because I signed up for them to deduct my payment for me. To make the long story short, they did not deduct it. I didn’t know what happened. They also couldn’t tell what happened. Billing called me several times asking for the payment.

So the next payment, I saw an invoice online for $200+, $56 was for the month of May. That blew me out of the water. They billed me for over 1,300 kilowatts of produced electricity when in actuality, it was 504 kilowatts. I was accustomed to pain with my old carrier, charging me $55 a month most of the time, $70 during summertime but this was totally ridiculous. So I called the billing department and they transferred me to the technical services. The billing department's solution was for me to pay the bill and they'd just give me credit. I told them that it was not my solution and that I would not pay a penny until they get the issue straightened out. And nothing has happened.

An inquiry was initiated in May but I still haven't heard anything and it's July. I called, I got billing, and billing would send me over to technical again. I haven’t paid anything since April. The latest invoice I got which was a day ago was for over $300. I also called customer service last Monday and I talked to a young lady who was very apologetic. She told me that she'd put a priority on my case for it to be addressed. But still, nothing has been fixed. So I have an outstanding bill with Vivint for over $300 for electricity that was generated by the system. And I don’t know where the error is.

But my problem with Vivint Solar is two-fold - the billing and the fact that I thought I was gonna save money, which was the reason why I went with them. I have been told thrice that I'd be seeing savings at the end of the year. I wanted to see it on a monthly basis, not at the end of the year. I’m gonna be retiring in a year and I wanted to get down my electricity bill. And instead, it has gone up by almost 50% with Vivint. I wanna give Vivint some time to get this straightened out but I’m on the verge of getting a hold of the State Commission Utility for the State of California and initiating a complaint. I may also call one of my TV stations here that’s nationally known and complain to them about what’s going on.

I've been bamboozled and I was sold something which wasn't fully disclosed. Even the pamphlets that I have here says that I'm gonna save money. I tried getting a hold of my sales rep to see if he could help me out with this, maybe he would have connections inside to really look into this but he didn't even return my phone calls. I have been dealing with this since April. I didn’t know that my experience was gonna turn out like this. I’m really disappointed.

Then, Vivint Solar reps were putting little green flyers in the neighborhood and when I got one on my door, I called them. Their rep came and did a sales pitch. His name was Charlie and he was nice. I read the contract and it was a lot better than SolarCity.

While everybody was good, the foreman of the installation crew was snooty. He had this higher-than-mighty-type of attitude but I'm okay. I've had solar before so I knew what was involved and Vivint Solar got a lot of better offers. When I had problems logging into my account, I called the tech department and they were able to straighten that out. However, on the metering thing, I still can't read the numbers on the screen. Our neighbor utilizes solar energy and told us about Vivint Solar. We were always interested in it and then Corey, an agent, came out and explained it to my wife. He was good but we had a little problem. We went through the whole thing where they installed the panels up on top and then we waited for inspection to come. After that, we waited for Edison to tell us to turn on the system. The same day that we got an email from them, we received an email from Vivint Solar telling us to turn the system on. The serviceman who told me what to do just said to turn the gray box on. So, when I got the email, I went outside and switched that thing on thinking that was it. But after a couple weeks, we got a call from Vivint Solar and they told us that a serviceman was gonna see what was going on.

The serviceman came, went up there and found out that besides the gray box, there was another button to turn on underneath some white box with the antenna on top. He turned it on and after that he went through it and rebooted the system. I was out there with him and he told me that it wasn't on and that he was having trouble having it communicate. So he said he was gonna come back on Monday to put a box on the outside like a router so it can communicate better.

But then, he called that Monday and he said that he wasn’t gonna come after all because the system was communicating and that we can find out if it’s producing. And so, it's working. But when the system was off, everybody thought it was on and meanwhile, Edison was charging me and I was wondering about that. It took six weeks from the initial talks to getting the system to work. But Corey explained to us that sometimes it takes a little while before the inspector comes or Edison says it’s okay so it was good.

Mel from Vivint Solar approached us at our home and discussed the solar possibilities with us and we have always been interested in saving money and helping reduce carbon footprints so we agreed to it. Mel was an excellent rep and he was able to answer greatly many questions that we had as far as our concerns with getting it in the first place and having it put on our roof, which was a big step for us to take. He was also very helpful. We had to wait for two months to get the solar turned on, but Vivint explained that they had to have a number of people on the grid before they could turn on the switch so it wasn’t a terrible amount of time.

Their reps were really good in getting back to us when we had to make calls about our concerns. But my biggest one right now is if we have long term issues down the road. We need to address that and the dysfunction of the solar panel. It seems like a lot of people are now complaining about having their solar panels on the roof and Vivint is not good about servicing their panels. But we have had it running for a couple of months and so far, I‘m really happy with our decision to go solar and I’m very satisfied. I’m a newbie, but everything seems to be working really well and our billing seems a little lower. Also, everybody who worked with us was terrific.

My initial impression of Vivint Solar was Matt who came to my door one day wanting to tell me how much I could save by switching to solar. I’m usually a little wary of salespeople but Matt didn’t push his product on me. Instead he just had a conversation with me. He was so personal and so nice. He didn’t make me feel rushed. He even said he would come back the next day after I had time to talk to my husband about it. When he came back he had the same demeanor and I was so appreciative. Vivint is lucky to have a great salesman in Matt! He is the reason we switched! Keep up the good work.

Somebody from Vivint Solar came to my door and talked to me about their solar energy services. I was hoping to reduce some overall household cost and reduce my energy cost, so after talking a little bit to the salesperson, it looked like I could save some money by adding the solar. At first, I couldn't believe the time frame they told me the enrolment would take. But, the salesperson really kept me informed about everything that was gonna happen, how long things would take, and when they would happen. Also, their customer service has always called me to set up an appointment to do a phase. My wife was a little antsy about it because it didn't seem to happen soon enough for her, but I was fine with everything that took place because I understand the construction business.

Then, when Vivint Solar's techs were working on my electrical panel, they noticed a couple of things that didn't look right to them so they fixed that for me at their own expense. That was a good thing. I'm satisfied with my decision to go solar and I'd recommend Vivint Solar to anybody. I've only had a couple of cycles of paying for it and I'm sure it’s gonna achieve the desired benefit by reducing cost.

I was promised by the sales rep pigeon proofing for my panels... and as the install was happening I made sure to ask them about the pigeon proofing which they installers replied "We don't do that." So that day I called Vivint Solar and waited on hold for 30 min and made a case with them. I also contacted my sales rep who stated "Our panels are so low we usually don't have a problem", then stated we don't install them until it becomes an issue.

2 days later I receive a call back from Vivint about an invoice for pigeon guards where I then call them back - again 30 min wait to tell them, "I am not paying for something that was promised to me and my systems has not been fully activated yet so if you don't plan to guard it then you can come take it down 'cause I am not dealing with crap all over and those birds." The agent told me she will send it up to her management who reviews these cases on Monday however since it is Friday 6/15 they probably won't get to it until 6/25. So I call back on 6/26 to be on hold again 34 min to be told they haven't received the case or management decision and I should call Friday/Monday around 10 am. Which I informed the agent well I work and have a job too but I do not want this system fully activated until they have made a decision.

The salesman from Vivint Solar was very personable. He showed me a presentation on his tablet and what I interpreted him saying was my cost would be kept at 16.5 cents for a kilowatt hour then that would go up 2.9% every year. My judgment was it would cost $20 to $30 a month based on what the past use had been. So I could save money and help other people.

But this is what is happening. My bills are running $80 with San Diego Gas and $20 off that would be $60. The salesman had said the cost would be less but I'm getting bills for $100 because I'm producing 40% more electricity than I use. I don't remember hearing that I would be charged for what I produce. I would be charged for what I've used is what I remember hearing. The contract is very clear though. So I signed a piece of paper and would pay for it forever. It was my fault and I'm so frustrated. It was like a bait-and-switch. Every other payment model is "pay for what you use" but this one is "pay for what you produce". I'm happy they didn't put another 13 on the roof. I would not be paying twice as much.

I wrote a nasty email to the company when they asked me what I thought. Then the salesman came back and explained that I would get rebate after a year. On the other hand, I'm paying an extra $20 a month. If it was $200 a month, I'd be really upset. That aside, Vivint Solar was efficient in getting the solar panels up there. The big hang-up was getting inspections and getting approval from the local company. All that went well though. Vivint Solar warned us that it would simply take a couple of months and it did. The initial contact was November 10 and we got it turned on in the beginning of April.

The Vivint Solar sales rep was pretty straightforward and most of those I've talked to have always been very careful in telling me what's going on. I was reasonably impressed with the quality of their service personnel. I'm 93 so whether I stay with Edison or go this way, when I'm done, I'm done. I don't feel like it will change anything except that I thought it would be environmentally sound to be making use of the solar system.

However, I have a little more trouble telling what I have actually received in the way of power from them. Edison always provided a sheet that showed how much power had been used and compared me with neighbors, but I don't find any of that from Vivint Solar. Other than that, they've efficiently put the system in, they got it approved by the city, and they told me when I could turn it on. They sent the bill to the bank on the 21st of this month and were credited for it. When I can get a statement from them, I'll be pleased because I need that kind of record so I know what I'm doing.

But I thought I might save more money than I have because I didn’t realize I’d still be getting a bill from Edison. Edison still provides the service lines so they told me they still have to send me a bill but it’s not as much as it was. And if you use a lot of energy it would really probably save you a lot of money. But it’s just me and my daughter living here and we don’t have central air because it’s an old house so it doesn’t save us a lot. But I’m still happy. Our electric bill in the summertime was getting up to $300. We looked into getting solar energy services, and because my Pastor had Vivint put solar at his house, I got it too and so far, the highest bill I've had was $97. The enrollment process was simple. We did the program where we didn't put any money down and Vivint didn't put any lease on our house. We just agreed to buy the power from them at a certain amount per kilowatt.

I've had good interactions with Vivint's customer service team. I'm having a little bit of an issue because they're charging me a little bit more than what they originally contracted for. But every time I call and tell them about it, they adjust it. It's just that about every month, I had to let them know so I'm not super happy about that. Although they took care of it when I called them, I wanted them to get it straightened so I don't have to keep calling them and we're still working on that with them. It amounts to about $7 a month. It wasn't a whole lot but we had recently contracted for a certain price. I can't seem to get them to document that it needs to be that price.

I would recommend Vivint still. The company itself is good. And other than the price issue, they followed through everything they said. They're prompt about their service. When they said they were gonna be here, they've been here. They also got me hooked up quicker than what they said they would project the date was. They did a clean installation and left the house clean when they did the work. All in all, I've been really happy with them.

Day before city inspection a great Vivint technician came out and went over the whole installation to help ensure we passed city inspection. He found a pinched ground wire that so the system wouldn't turn on and he said Vivint would send someone out to fix it asap but it would not 'cause city inspector to fail us. We passed city inspection next day and then Vivint phone reps kept misunderstanding the situation (or ignoring what we were saying) and insisting we walk through a testing procedure. Had to do that on four different occasions. Frustrating four months later, finally came online. My Edison bill has dropped drastically (it's negative $10 right now), but I haven't done the math to see if I'm saving money because the Vivint bill is a little higher than I thought it would be.

My son-in-law had Vivint installed on his house. Also, our PG&E bill had been extremely high and we wanted to lower our monthly bill. However, when I first talked to Vivint, they couldn't do our place so we bought another place as a rental and we had Vivint switch their solar on that rental. Also, it took them so long to get the solar installed. We started in October and it didn't get turned on until April. I heard that somebody in Utah quit their job and was having a hard time getting everything caught up.

My daughter and her husband live in the rental so we've been working closely together with it. On the first month, I got a bill from Vivint and I got a bill from PG&E, which I didn't feel was right. I waited a month and tried to figure out how we were gonna solve it and it turned out that the WiFi wasn't communicating with somebody so they weren't getting information about how much was going to PG&E or how much was being produced. I'm waiting for another month or two. I got a credit and I'll see if we're saving $100 a month. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Vivint to others.

Solar energy is something that I thought about and I wouldn't have thought that I would think about it more through someone knocking at my door. It was a sign of the time someone being uninvited and giving me unsolicited information at my doorsteps was not something that I'll see all the time anymore. I wasn’t comfortable with it and the Vivint Solar salesman was sketchy because people knocking on doors these days is sketchy to me, but he was persistent and very nice. He wasn't rude or pushy in any sort of bad way. He left the information for me to contact him, which I ended up doing. It took me a good three or four months to come to the decision. I definitely wanted to do my research, but it was something that I thought about and he was the one that had equipped me with the information to really think about it.

The enrollment process with Vivint Solar was fine. I was very happy with the people that came out to reinforce the roof, although the one thing that I was a little disappointed in was it was not made clear about how long it actually takes. Once the panels are on my roof to actually being turned on, it took months and I didn't realize that They were installed in mid-January and they were not turned on until a little less than three months. It wouldn't have changed my decision, but it would have been something to be more upfront about. The installation was fine and them coming out to reinforce the roof was also wonderful!

I feel like I'm going to enjoy it more now, although we've had some rough patches. For instance, I recently was able to see my bill and I made seven calls to customer service. They couldn't auto bill me because the account number attached to my name wasn't right. When it was input in the sales process, numbers got flipped because I have the last four digits that I could see finally online that were not my last four digits, so we had some billing issues in the beginning.

Also, when I went on to the site, I could see how much energy I was producing but I could not see any of the billing information, so I didn't know why I wasn't being auto billed when I was enrolled. I couldn't see anything and it took seven calls to figure that out. Everyone would just tell me that they’ll get it fixed and that it needed to go the IT department, but I would never hear back. I would check back on the site a couple of times in the next week and it wasn't fixed. Both the account and that page weren't sending the right signal because I couldn't get it on my phone and I couldn't get it anywhere I logged in. It was a process from the Vivint side but everything is finally fixed.

I gave the feedback last time that when there's an issue, "Please, someone just call me back. Don't say it's gonna be fixed and then don't fix it and make me call back seven times." The last time when it still hadn't been fixed, I said that I wanted a call whether they figured it out or not. The most frustrating part was when they said that it will be fixed within 24 hours and then a week later, it was still not fixed. Also, half of my solar panels weren't working and on my 4th or 5th call about the website, someone told me that and they can't get out here until the 27th. So, I had to wait over a month. If something's not working and having to wait over a month for someone to come out and fix it is also extremely disappointing.

But the customer service employees were super nice and Vivint Solar is fantastic. I'm also very happy that my last bill from Eversource is $0. I'm confident that going into this next month, everything will be working and everything will be fixed and everything will be great. I have people asking right now and even despite the little hiccups that we've had, it's great. I love paying $0 to Eversource. I would tell others to definitely look into Vivint Solar.

Glad that we went with Vivint Solar. From start to finish our experience was great all thanks to Stephen **. His ability to walk us through all our questions and concerns. He also followed up with the construction and day to day process. Not to mention the coordination with SCE and city inspectors.

I was initially hesitant to go solar, but, my sales Rep Stephen ** did an exceptional job at explaining the entire process to me. He was there during and after the installation and even stopped by to help me turn it on. I am so happy that I chose Vivint Solar. The whole process was very well planned out. It went as smoothly and promised and I am now saving money. This is definitely one of the best things I have done to future proof my house for years to come.

First looked at having solar put in a few years ago, but wasn't sure it was a good idea. After talking with Stephen ** came by and explained it more thoroughly with me I could see the benefits outweighed any negative. We were given a free electrical panel upgrade and are now saving money. Glad we did it.

Stephen was awesome. He was honest and very helpful in getting our solar panels. It did not cost anything for the installation process and Edison turned our system on within a couple of months. We have saved money with Vivint; much lower bill. :)
