    Once we learned that the install will occur, we received a text message from Jeff ** about a week in advance, indicating this will happen, including the hour of arrival. Side note - there was a lot of communication - text and email indicating process and install - this was much appreciated by us. The crew arrived, began work, even though we had slight amount of rain. The crew was professional, neat and worked well with each other - a good team. They indicated an install time of 7 hours, and did very close to that. A good clean and neat install, when they left, hardly even knew they were here.

    I do not recommend Vivint. Our solar panels were installed in March 2016. Six months later, they are not working. This ordeal has cost us money and considerable time waiting on the phone, explaining the situation multiple times, and getting nowhere. Terrible customer service. After having the panels installed in March, everything was finally “turned on” July 1. Our BGE bill for the month of July was the highest it has ever been in 20 years that we have lived in this house. Considering we were on vacation with the air conditioning turned off for 12 days, our bill should have been much lower. On top of that, Vivint double billed us, and NO electricity from the solar panels was going into our system. Vivint called this an “estimated bill” which we were required to pay even though we were getting nothing.

    After more phone calls, Vivint sent a technician to the house. The first available date was Sept. 1, nearly a month later. The customer service rep, said the technician only needed to get to the outside box and we need not to be home. Guess what? The technician did nothing except leave a hanging tag to call Vivint's customer service. Here we go again. Customer service rep says there's nothing she can do. A supervisor will call us back “as soon as possible.” In Vivint's world, “as soon as possible” may mean weeks, months, or never. We are stuck in this endless loop. At this point, we have nothing positive to say about Vivint.

    I'm having problems with Solar staying on. I keep getting high bills worse than before. Now I pay Vivint and PSEG! I should have never gotten Solar. I complain to Vivint and they do nothing to help or lower the bills. I really wish they would come and take it off because it been nothing but problems from the start! BEWARE OF SOLAR COMPANIES!

    I've had my solar up on my roof since April 12th. It still is not working. Every time you try to call for help, no one knows who you should talk to or they don't return your calls after multiple attempts at email and phone calls. Someone came out today after 2 months of trying to get someone out here and we still are not connected. He let me know that he's not sure what he's doing and his manager just told him to come try to figure it out. Seriously??? We arrived going on 5 months of this solar on my roof and still NOTHING! I never realized that there was a company out there like this that treats us horribly, and their employees are not trained well.

    I had the solar panels installed last October. They were up and running in March 2016. Since the beginning I noticed my electric bill was higher than usual. I thought the purpose of having solar panels was to save money. I called PSE&G they mentioned the system that was installed is too small for my house, so I am seeing the excess of what my panels do not produce. I have since called Vivint. At first the sales person showed up right away, filled out papers and listened to my complaint. A month went by I didn't hear anything. I called Vivint back again, I was told by the sales department the system I have on my home is very small so they made an appt. for July 7th at 4pm. Nobody showed up. I called them back again then they said they would give me a different sales person. This person called me back and said I have to wait 1 year. I am not happy with that answer either.

    I called again now I am waiting 3 days for a response. This is unacceptable. I have never had a $300 electric bill in my 1300 sq home. I need this problem resolved. This is ridiculous. Very poor customer service. This is Vivint's responsibility to correct this issue. I have never seen a home in my area with only 5 solar panels, which I questioned from the very beginning.

    My electric bill is now higher than ever. I spend about $20-50 more a month. It has been so nice lately, very sunny. My Vivint bill is crazy. I am so sorry I did this. I did talk to a neighbor that had panels, and they seemed satisfied. I am very unsatisfied, and am going to stop recommending buying solar panels from a company. Just invest and put on yourself.

    A young female representative of this company was wandering my yard at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night, texting from my front porch and looking at my electrical panel without coming to the door, telling us who she was or what she was doing. The car was not marked and she was not wearing a uniform. Frankly, it was creepy. When I approached her, she told me she was evaluating the house to see if we could "qualify" for energy savings, and made it seem as though she was affiliated with our energy company until I asked her point blank if that was the case.

    When I asked her how they were compensated, she said it was mostly taxpayer money. Hmmm. I had to pull the company name out of her, and when I told her we would call her if we wanted our house evaluated, because we don't appreciated people on the property uninvited, her response was, "I can tell". Very, very creepy. I would never consider a company for solar who does business like this.

    Solar energy is a good, green, and responsible thing to do. I regret ever inviting Vivint into my home. They refuse to give me an address to mail a check to. They insist on having access to my check checking account, or credit card under the guise of being paperless. I don't want to do business with them. They refuse to go away. They consistently overbill by a third higher than my normal electric bill. They charge based on the energy produced, not by energy used. I've disconnected the system, so no energy is being produced or used. Stay away. There are other options.

    Lied to me from the beginning, you pay on what it produces not your usage so if you're away for 6 months you're still paying. Buyer beware!!! Do you know you have to monitor your own panels if it's not working and not reading anything they still charge you and if you try to call them expect 1hr on hold just so you can hold on again to speak to another person, they have made so many mistake and did you know if you have a rental property and you have no tenants there you still need to provide and pay for wifi or it won't work but you're still being charged on estimates of what it produces not what you use.

    This is a total scam. I'm telling everyone not to use them. It took months to a name transfer due to the fact the first person I sent the paperwork quit and my paperwork was never done and left aside. Took me another 24 calls and emails to try to solve the issue since march and still not completed. There is too much to list. I adjust these panels off my 3 homes. I'm not saving anything. I spend from 6 to 8 hrs on the phone with Vivint at any time with no help. Even their employees have said to me on a recorded line that this should not happen and makes no sense why everything is all wrong.

    They have given me other people info because the person in billing got my address wrong and insisted it was me until she realized she had the wrong address and never apologized for being wrong and arguing with me. Then they never put my spout back into my gutter giving me floods in my basement. Again too much to list, you have never held your end of the bargain so now I want the panels off my house... I have multiple accounts.

    The people who handle repairs take 48-72 hours to return a call, I was told when I called to ask a simple question. I am 2-3 hours away from the home I am calling about and their lack of customer service and delayed response time is causing me to make multiple trips. I am not pleased.     I was a Vivint Solar customer for a little over one year. While the savings were not even close to what I had anticipated the true problem occurred when I went to sell my home. First my closing was delayed almost one month because of issues on Vivint's end to transfer the policy to the new homeowner. But what has gotten me very angry is the incompetence since that time. I have received, in excess of 20 calls from Vivint saying I owe them money for a period of time following the transfer agreement. In addition to call I get weekly emails saying I owe money. When this first occurred I called and the person I spoke with apologized and advised that I pay the bill, since part of the amount was during the time I resided in the home, and that the excess amount would be pro-rated back to me. Well, it is now August (I sold my home April 13th, 2016) and I am still getting emails. The most recent came today and included my name and the new owner.

    Stay away from Vivint - at least if you plan on selling your home before the lease is up. Beware - the savings aren't as great as promised. In fact I was advised to use space heaters in the winter to save on heating costs since I have gas. Well, living in the northeast and with snow only 15% electric was covered by the solar so my heating cost actually rose the first year. Now I know better but I wish the representative had told me. The incompetency, from start to finish was like nothing I have ever seen. If you are considering solar fantastic - just don't use Vivint. Knowing what I know now I would have purchased the solar panels myself.

    Salesperson showed up to our house randomly, 5-6 people. Then 2 people are recording you and the conversation they have and if you ask them to stop they tell you no. In order for them to help you they need your birthday, SSN, and a current electric bill. I don't give personal business to people that just show up at my door and don't have the chance to investigate the company. Oh and one of the salesperson said "Well I can just go to Facebook and get this information if I wanted to." I have never had such unprofessional and disrespect when someone knocks on my door. The salespeople will not give you the chance to think about it and investigate. They want the information now, and if you don't give it to them they get rude and hateful. Watch out! To fall to this scam.

    I recently had solar panels installed by Vivint because the salesman convinced me I would be saving tons of money by doing this. They tell you the average person saves about $50 a month by installing solar panels and that Peco pays them directly and credits you the money on your electric bill. My panels have been turned on for about 6 weeks now and so far I am in the hole about $120. The first 2 weeks my Vivint bill was $38 and saved 0 on my Peco bill. This month my Vivint bill was a whopping $113!!! That is 3 times what I am "saving" with Peco by signing up for this. Thinking in about 30 days when I get my next bill I will most likely be filing a complaint with the BBB. This is a total SCAM! I AM SUPER PISSED!!!

    Salesman never full disclosed bill process. If you look at my acct first bill 40. Second 75. I'm now up to 241. Can't afford. I have lung cancer and on disability budget and get no response from salesman in reference to what he didn't tell me. I guess that's a Corp sales tool. I will have to try sell my house or lose it because of solar selling tactics. Obviously very stressed out and I'm on chemotherapy. Very bad combo. Probably will kill me.

    When our system was installed they would only give us 8 panels. Then when they found out that was not nearly enough (really???-we live in Bakersfield CA) they installed more panels but wanted to add another box to the side of our house. We did not want 2 boxes, conduit, etc junking up the front wall of our new home so they told us they could just join the new panels to our existing system. So far so good. Until bill time came along. Now they are billing us for 2 accounts even though we only have one system.

    Our supposed customer care rep, Angelita **, explained in a very rude conversation that we will always get 2 bills and that since we did not allow them to install a second box then our second bill would always be estimated and there wasn't anything we could do about it - that is how Vivint systems operate. She was a real witch, to say the least. So now we are getting 2 bills and our electric service costs us more between the 2 bills than before we installed solar. Plus we had a $1200 true up bill from PG&E after our first year of being with Vivint. We were told that they install at least 2 systems per house - that way they get 2 govt solar rebates plus they get an investor for each system - so at least 2 investors and 2 energy rebates per house. And the consumer... gets the higher energy costs. What a ripoff!!!

    VIVINT Solar is the same business model as VIVINT Home Security Systems. I really wish I would not have given them a second chance for my business. While the solar panels work great and I do save money on electricity... the billing customer service people (Ryan) and others I have dealt with, do not care about customers. All they are concerned with is VIVINT accounts getting paid. The scenario is, I get an email stating that my credit card on file is not able to be processed. I email or call the billing department and ask for an explanation of why this is happening again and again. The only response I get from Ryan or any other person at VIVINT Solar billing is, "I can update the credit card on file and this won't happen again unless you change cards." Even when I don't change cards it happens again and again.

    I have been dealing with this since February 2016 that I have documentation for. Dealing with this for 20 years really is not an appealing idea. If I had to do it over again... VIVINT would not be my choice for solar power. I have actually referred a great number of people to them in past but I tell anyone asking to shop around and think twice about VIVINT because of the lack of customer service at VIVINT Solar Billing.

    Had my panels installed at the end of Jan. and system was not turned on until June. Sales pushed hard to have panels installed ASAP despite being told I would not take time off work. Installers disconnected my WiFi from my internet router without asking so they could connect their stuff. The employee they sent to set up a WiFi stick had no clue what he was doing. After trying to figure it out for less than 30 mins he left to go to another job and did not return or call to let me know he would not be back. Got the run around about why it was taking so long to start system up. Was charged this month without any type of statement. Combined bill much more than I typically pay. My parents also have a Vivint system and their last bill was close to $100 more than typical for this time of year. My parents and I have yet to hear back.

    I signed up with Vivint Solar in September 2015 with high hopes. The system was installed in December 2015. It was turned on in May 2016. It did not work but I still had to pay the bill. I reported the problem on May 9th 2016 but Vivint Solar showed no real interest in addressing the issue, despite repeated civil requests and reminders, until I sent them a legal notice of dispute via certified mail and demanded the panels be removed. It is August 1st 2016 and I have been assured that they will be turned on tomorrow. I've heard that same thing every couple of weeks for months. We shall see.

    Because of their Lease Agreement, I am forced to retain an adversarial relationship with this poorly managed company for 20 years. That is a life sentence. If you are one of the unfortunate souls that was duped into this scam, I'm sorry. Be sure to read the contract and send a "notice of dispute" with each and every complaint and hire an attorney.     Ok my sales rep Xavier told me to get a really high electric bill it would get me a bigger system to save me more money but I have gotten my first bill and it is extremely higher than what I was paying for with PECO. If you shop around you can get electric for .0625-.0790. Vivint charges you .125 and they do not charge you for usage. They charge you for what that massive system produces that's why they want you to have plenty of sunlight. The more it produces the more they charge you. They don't explain this to you. Not only do you get a bill from them you also get a bill from PECO. Another thing they do not explain. They tell you that PECO will bill you for them which is false. You cannot get ahold of anyone at Vivint. This place is a scam.

    People beware you pay for whatever the system produces whether you use it or not. There is no savings. They charge you .125 per kWh and anything you do not use your provider does not buy it back from you at that price. This is a total scam. You do not get a paper contract. They have you sign an electronic e-file on an iPad so they can hide all their scams. Oh and they do not tell you this but if you wish to cancel you have 3 days after install not actual hook up just the actual install on your roof.

    I've called Vivint several times on this issue but still nothing. In April I noticed a spike in my electricity bill. It appears that in the billing period of 4/13-5/11 Hawaiian Electric says that they didn't receive anything from my panels. HECO DEL-1406 NET-1406 REC-0. I ended up paying $340.98 for the 1406KW I used. A couple of weeks later I get the automated billing statement from Vivint and I was surprised to find the panels were producing. I averaged out the days listed during the HECO billing period and find that during the same period the panels produced 1336KW so Vivint Solar sends me a bill for $268.78.

    So in a nutshell I end up paying HECO $340.98 for the 1406KW (since they didn't receive anything from my panels) and $268.78 to Vivint because 1336KW was produced. I paid $609.76 for my May energy needs and both sides are pointing the finger at each other. HECO says the most they can do is test my meter. Vivint Solar says I don't qualify for any bill adjustment because the panels were producing. I feel very frustrated at this point.

    Newly installed system that is only providing 1/3rd of promised solar power. I have been trying to reach someone in the "workout" department for 2 weeks now. I have left messages/contact info with customer service personnel, and with the CSR contact from the install. I have received zero follow up. I am now paying a bill to Vivint AND my local power provider. This company seems to literally want just to get panels on your roof and then be done with you. Customer care doesn't exist.

    The installation of our panels went just fine, and production is good, but... I cannot get customer support to follow-up on installation of animal guard and repair to wiring. For two months, I have made repeated phone calls, sent emails, but to no avail. They keep telling me that they have to check into it and never return calls, as they promised, tech's don't keep appts, etc. It is very frustrating and at this point I could not recommend them to anyone. And, this is not the first issue, either. Last year, when we needed snow guard installed had the same issue, but even worse this time.

    They charge me at a high rate of kilowatt usage which I had no idea how much I really did use. There's no way to shown how much the solar panel is being produced on my roof and how much energy is produced to my saving. I message them but no reply back. I lost my job. I call many long hours to cancel my solar contract but they won't let me. Telling me to buy their solar panel off or selling my house and transferring it to someone else is the only way out. That just don't work for me. And now they just keep billing me and won't cancel their service. They send me to collection agency.

    Met with sales person Howard, knowledgeable upfront. June 14, 2016 had panels and meter installed, all went well so I thought. Today July 13, 2016 Vivint has not contacted the Town electrician, I have and was told he has heard nothing which was not normal. I called the Taunton, MA office and spoke to a young lady who then forwarded my call to home office in Utah. Upon speaking with the customer service lady for this area I was practically read to from a script. Being only one month out and not inspected she was a bit happy as she said I was ahead of schedule. I told her the Town electrician was available on that day but no call was made. And as of this date no call. I was then told "it would all work out - be patient, it will get done."

    I told her the salesman said it could take up to 4 months for the completion of all aspects of the installation and I told him the Town of Assonet was very quick with inspections so that part should be extruded. He told me he didn't have control over anything out of his reach and it should go as planned. He also said he was showing me a worse case scenario. I have panels that I allowed to be put on my roof by Vivint so they could make money and I could save money, I haven't been connected and you can only make a first impression once. Needless to say I am stuck in this situation and I only hope the local office will do their job and schedule an inspection and I am very leery about the future endeavors with this company.

    My install took forever.... I have been on the system for 5 months, my bills are huge! 40% more than usual. And, Southern California Edison credits are very small. I have talked to every department within the company no one can explain this - Fleet, billing, solar workout team, customer service and every department can't answer my question. I have asked for an executive to call me, and there is no corporate number! Everything goes into their inbound calling center and the people are useless! This morning I called billing, as I stopped letting them withdrawal money from my account and paid them via my banks e-pay. I had an email from last night that the bill was not paid. The billing person said it was not paid. So I called the bank, got a copy of the cashed check and then had to call billing back..... every step of the way is a mess.

    They admitted to overcharging me one month, and then undercharging another month so instead of billing accurately they are leaving it as is. That particular month they over billed me, Fleet said they will process a refund, then he emailed said there is no refund! That same month, billing and fleet had different numbers for the panels production. I think Vivint inflates the number to make the most money possible. .05 with Vivint, and then Southern Cal Edison pays me back .03? What? When I call Southern Cal Edison, they have my production number as totally different than what I am paying Vivint, which is very high. No one can explain it - and I have to deal with this for 20 years. If I knew the executives of this company hide behind an inbound calling number it shows they have something to hide. Don't make the same mistake I have.

    I started the process with Vivint Solar late January 2016. I had recommendations from neighbors and friends to go with Vivint. After signing it took about 6 weeks to get the panels installed. But following that there were issues which they had to come back and correct. It is now the 3rd week of June and another problem with the install. I have now missed the prime months to recoup my power saving cost and no scheduled final inspection. I now lack confidence in the system fulfilling what was promised and saving me any money. Poor service and very poor management.

    Horrible company to deal with. They never call back, their technicians do not show up for appointments. When you call to find out why, their answer is I don't know. When you ask to speak to a supervisor, they put you back on hold. The first time I was on hold for 45 minutes, then they come back with the same answer all the time, "they are in a meeting and will call back" which they never do. I requested a tech due to not saving any money and their solution, we can add more panels. Someone has to do something. I am contacting my Legislator and local Senator. Save your time. There are much better companies out there.

    Updated on 07/19/2016: This is a follow to. Spoke to representative from the company, according to them there is nothing wrong with their service. So I guess my roof is being rented by them, without them paying any rent so they can make money off of us while we save nothing. Rep stated sales person should not have said anything of the amount of money that we would save, I thought that is why people use solar. This seems to be a scam and I am contacting my officials to see how I should proceed. I recommend everyone that is being used by them to do the same.

    Nightmare with Vivint Solar! A year after I paid thousands of dollars to build out the infrastructure to add additional panels, they still had not turned on the service! Hours and hours of phone calls, city inspector ready to penalize ME because work wasn't finished, emails, and more emails. Promises and broken promises.     I am very disappointed with Vivint at this time. We looked at several solar options and at the time, we thought Vivint was the one. The process began in Jan of this year and it is now June 13 and we still are not connected. After I signed the paperwork, they immediately mounted the solar panels. Then they told me the system needed a pre-inspection. I took a half day vacation and they never showed up. They told me something about a communication issue between the inspector and the scheduler. Now they issue is that the town inspector won't approve the system due to some grounding issue. They have stated that it is the town's issue, but as I am dealing with Vivint, I blame them as they have not completed their side of the process.

    At this point, I would like the panels removed, but then I would have all these holes in my roof from the panels mounts. The whole process has been ridiculous. All Vivint keeps saying is it's the town inspectors fault. Then get it done for crying out loud. This has been going on for at least 1.5 months. Just get it done. Very dissatisfied customer at this point. I cannot receive the benefit of solar. Going on 7 months for the entire process.

    Dishonest company, do not believe or sign anything. Salesman came to my door, we discussed the pros and cons of installing a Vivint solar system. He asked me to electronically sign my permission for an agent of Vivint to come to my house and conduct a survey of the house to see if it qualified for their program. I signed electronically (big mistake on my part). 10 minutes after the salesperson left, I get an email with an 18 page contract attachment. The contract I was duped into signing said I had 3 days to mail in a cancellation of the contract. I mailed in a cancellation overnight mail at a cost of $23 dollars and called Vivint and asked them to cancel my contract and remove any information they had on file about me. They said they would cancel it and send me an email confirmation of cancellation. Avoid this company, buy and own your solar panels.

    I'm writing to request your help with completing the solar panel inspection at my home in Winthrop, MA. Vivint representatives upgraded my electrical equipment and installed solar panels almost 4 months ago. I was told at the time that everything was ready to go and only needed one final inspection before the system could be activated. Since that time, I have emailed my Vivint contact, Caleb Alger, several times. IF he replies to my email he simply says I must wait my turn for an inspection and cannot begin to set my exceptions about when that might be. I'd appreciate your help in finishing the job. I also suggest Vivint both address whatever problem is causing this inspection delay and teach their folks that they should always respond to customers, particularly unhappy ones.

    A lot of the reviews on here are from customers who have had a recent install. I agree that their sales people are engaging and informative. The install went off without any issues. However, we are at the point of trying to sell our house and TWO BUYERS HAVE CANCELED ESCROW BECAUSE OF VIVINT'S TRANSFER TERMS. We were told by our salesperson that we can buy out the contract at any time and own the system. He quoted us a much lower buy out cost compared to what we are currently being told. Now our buyers were told that upon transfer, if we they were to pay off the balance owed to Vivint, they wouldn't actually own the system, VIVINT would just come and remove the system for a fee.

    I've also had really inconsistent phone customer service with their transfer department. At times I've gotten through right away. Other times I've been on hold for 30 minutes and finally gave up. Just take a look at their stock performance. It has plummeted from $15.85 last summer to $2.25 currently. This company is a sinking ship. There's no telling whether they will be around in a few more years. Do not do business with them. I wish someone had written a review like this for me when I was considering them.

    The only positive thing I can say is that the system is free otherwise anyone looking to get involved with this company should do your homework because they say one thing and it is not how their sale people explain it. Where do I start, first my paperwork was botched up when I decided to move forward. I was told by their customer service that since my paperwork took so long to process the order was cancelled. They advised if I started the process again I would receive $1000 for the savings I missed. Well I haven't sent a dime and all of a sudden no one can recall or do they have it noted in their system of that offer. Should have saw the red flag there. It took over 8 months to finally an installation date as I was told that my state changed information on all paperwork. Another red flag that I ignored. Now most recently, system was not communicating with their system. I had to troubleshoot myself. Red flag number three.

    So for those considering or are about to sign off on the paperwork read this before you do. Ask them if you will see instant saying when they show their rates when comparing it to your local utility company. I supposedly have this great system to produce energy but I'm paying monthly what I would with my local utility company. So not only I am paying the same rates but I also need to pay a month service rate to my local utility company in case the solar panels go out which in total is costing me more. In the limited time I have had the system, I am not impress and would not recommend to anyone and would advise my neighbors to stay away who are waiting their turn. Also their customer service needs a re-haul as 3 of 4 individuals I spoke are unprofessional. Spoke with arrogance and were extremely nasty.

    Over a year now and not only have the panels not been working the poor workmanship of the Vivint Solar worker has caused damage to my roof and interior of my home that still hasn't been fixed or made right by Vivint Solar. They send Ryan a contractor out to fix the roof and to paint over the damage to the interior of my home but he made both worst. I asked Chariton ** from damage control to send someone with experience in that area to fix the paint first. He agreed to do that. Then after a storm the roof was leaking again in the same area. It was not fixed properly.

    I had someone go and take a look at the roof to put a tarp where the leak is on the roof and Ryan was asking question on how to fix the roof since that's not his area of expertise. He had two people he hired try to fix it in the evening with a flashlight that he was holding up for them. Vivint Solar needs to hire quality people in order to be successful as a companion not destroy people's homes while trying to take shortcuts to make money, that is obviously not working. Not only have I not saved money by the panels it's been a nightmare! I'm considering hiring a lawyer.

    Was given a date of April 27 by Vivint Sales tech, told him it was no good. I talked to him verbally and he said he would cancel for me and not to worry about it. He asked what dates are good. I said late May only. April is off the table. He said ok, gave me another date in April(?) and then May 17. I don't even remember because I wanted later in May. I asked him about June and he said they don't book that far out or something. I said maybe to 17th but wanted later as I was looking into SolarCity. So he emailed me a couple of times over the next couple of days and said, "Is the date good?" I said, "yeah the 27th I guess."

    April 27th comes around and they come my wife says they want to install. I say "no the date is in May." She says, "Well they are here and they want our WiFi password." I shut down the WiFi remotely then I call Vivint saying to contact the crew or the rep and tell them April 27th was cancelled that I want to be there during install. They say they will get a hold of them. I tell them to let me know or I will leave work. I email the sales rep to let him know that he told me the 27th was cancelled. (Prob 5x) I call back Vivint two hours later and they confirmed that the install was cancelled. I said "thank you, now I don't have to leave work." I call my wife as I was leaving work 4 hrs later she said they want the WiFi password. They are done on roof. What? The sales guy was at the house too.

    I called Vivint to complain. They agreed that the install was confirmed as cancelled but they don't know what happened. Let's see if they can make this right? I was told that I could cancel at any time even with vans in the driveway. They said that was technically true. I am hoping that I will hear from them again sometime soon. Anyone want any solar panels?

    Updated 05/25/2016: I have been visited by some Vivint people. I am a bit upset that Vivint installed after I cancelled the install with my sales rep. The problem with Vivint is you don't talk to anyone other than the sales rep so you are screwed if he says he will cancel (maybe mistake, maybe eager for $) and then doesn't cancel. Basically the sales rep is the company as far as you are concerned. Vivint never reached out to you. They just use the sales rep... Now I have stuff on roof and side of house. Vivint offered to move stuff where I would have wanted it installed, but they won't repair the holes left behind. Only acceptable outcome is if they uninstall and repair my siding. But that may cost them $$$. Basically I am screwed. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that will stand by their mistakes. All Vivint cares about, at least in my experience, is getting you on the hook.

    First of all I would like to say Vivint Solar as a whole was nothing but professional from the start of the sale to the day my system was approved to be turned on. I'm coming up on my first full year of having my system and it has been working great since day one. I would like to point out Sterling ** who was my sales rep for the whole process and was very understanding of all my concerns and questions I had about "going solar" and he was courteous enough to walk me through the whole thing making me feel comfortable throughout my whole installation experience.

    The solar panels installed have no help my bill. The panels were installed on a roof that was not good and a year later need it to remove panels to replace roof. It has been more than two months and the panels still not back on the roof - they were left on the floor all this time. They cancel twice the appointments without any previous notice, even when I called the day before to confirm the appointment. I am very disappointed with the service this company has provided me, everybody points fingers to other people and no one takes the blame for not keeping their word!! I am filing a complaint with BBB Next!!

    I have been pleased so far with our experience with Vivint. No other company that looked at our house was able to place solar panels, so I was excited Vivint could. Our salesperson was helpful. Our customer service coordinator who was assigned to us once we signed on was not so good; she did not respond to emails or phone calls. Luckily, I was given a new coordinator a few weeks later who was more helpful and answered questions. The process took a little longer than I expected; I think the salespeople need to share more strongly that the whole process (signing up until you actually start using power from the panels) can take a few months. My first power bill was nice and low, so I'll be interested to see in a year how my expectations (guided by my own research and math along with the info from my salesman) will line up with reality.

    We started the process with Vivint last May. I believe finally got the panels up and running around December. Since then my electric bill with Vivint has doubled from what my Edison bill was, keep getting told we are still producing. Mm, not sure when I will benefit. Being on a fixed income I thought this was best for my family, I guess I was wrong but now stuck. The rep says after a year if no savings they can be taken off and my roof fixed no cost to me. I hope that is true.

    It was a very bumpy road getting my install completed. There was a lot of set backs getting scheduled and have Vivint keeping their appointments. The first team of installers came to my house and did nothing after my wife took the day off from work to accommodate them. They leave without getting anything done. I was beyond piss. I was contacted by my rep Amadou ** and after we spoke I decided to continue working with Vivint Solar.

    A very important skill that Amadou has is his ability to effectively communicate topics that very complex. He has used this ability from the first time we met to successfully solve several problems, and the company has prospered as a result. I lift my hat to Amadou for his tremendous work and knowledge as a Vivint Solar Energy Consultant. He guide me through the procedure step by step - cross every T, dot every I. He is amazing, he is a professional.

    On 04/14/2016 my installation is completed and looking badass on my roof. The crew that came was hard at work on a professional level. They were excellent. When the job was completed they explain everything to me. What was done and what's left to become. The only think I'm currently waiting for is the city inspector to come pass the work that was done.     Vivint Solar is a very professional outfit. Our experience with them has been a positive one. Our sales rep has stayed in contact with us throughout the entire process. Their installation crew went about their tasks in a very efficient and safe manner and were always respectful of our property. We had a roof leak as a result of the installation, but Vivint sent someone out as soon as we contacted them and fixed it. If there is any downside to this it is the long period of time to complete the system and get it online. We were told that it would take months, but we are still anxious about that.     I had Vivint install solar panels on my home last year in August. They did not tell me that I would need a disconnect box installed in my home. Well after 6 months of having the panel on my roof they hired a electrical contractor to come out and under grade my electrical panel. They made a hole in my wall that is still there as I type this. Then Vivint electricians came out two weeks later and said that the wrong amp were installed and that the contractor needed to come back before this can be done.

    Now keep in mind that my entire house electrical power, no gas. There is no reason why after almost a year I'm still not up and running. I thought I was suppose to be saving over these months but that is not what has happen. I have not heard from them since this happen. First they need to train their sale people before they sell anything. They do not know what is required for this install. I will be contacting my attorney to see what can be done about this sorry company and these panel. Because I'm not saving anything. I'm just done with this.
