I went into Walmart around 11:30am on 11/16/08 to shop. I was in a hurry when I left the house so I just put on anything (old sweat pant & husband's too big sweat jacket, a head scarf and a knit hat on my head). With me being a ** female, I supposed I looked like a "lesser" individual to some people. Anyway, I took a cart and entered the dairy area of the store to purchase some Yoplait yogurt. As I approached the dairy case, a man who appeared to be a store manager, dressed in a pair of dress slacks, shirt possibly a tie, was stocking the refrigerated case with more yogurt. He had the glass door to the case open wide which left very little room for other to get by.
With him to my immediate right, I moved my cart as far left as I could in aisle, so others could get by. This only left about 12-18 inches of space for the other customers, but JOE had that door open in such a way that no one could pass him. I waited about 10-12 minutes, quietly & patiently, for the guy stocking to finish. He NEVER once turned to see if he was blocking others; he ignored the "grunts" and "hisses" of customers as they had to twist and turn to get past him; and the customers were starting to "glare" at me, as to why I would be waiting and not moving my cart.
At this point, another Walmart employee came over to talk to "JOE" and it was she who called his name and they began to talk. He still had the freezer open, he made eye contact w/ me and she saw me waiting there, yet...he turned to back and started to talk to this associate all while he had the freezer door still open. I walked towards him and said, "Excuse me, I need to get some of that yogurt." He then looked at me, visually scanned me from "head to toe" and said, "Yo, you wait a minute!!"
At this point, I said, "What?" and moved past him, got my yogurt, looked him in the eyes and said, "You've got to be kidding me. These people in this store are looking at me like I'm crazy and you are paying games." At this point, I immediately left the aisle, got the other few items I needed and left that store. I was so offended, I left. This "manager" treated me as I was a nothing, based "solely" on his visual inspection, which he did right before he was discourteous to me. I was so very upset. I went home upset and told my husband what happened, and he suggested that I voice what happened to a manager. I did.
I called the store and spoke with "Mike" the manager and told him what happened to me, how I felt, and how I was offended because I know that Walmart is a highly diverse organization and I know that they are quite sensitive to their customers. He apologized to me for what happened and said he would speak with JOE about what happened. I expressed to him how offended I was with what happened to me for it was not only hurtful and angering, but the store and aisle was quite crowded, so this was a PUBLIC action which is even more embarrassing. This MIKE said he would give me a $10 gift certificate for my trouble and that I could in and get that at anytime. I told him, "You've got to be kidding me. I don't need a $10 gift certificate" and how could he even suggest that what happened to me would be made better that way.
I am very, very upset behind not only what happened to me but also by my feelings being minimized to a "$10.00 gift card". My civil rights as a person were violated so casually by this manager with obvious lasting emotional scars on my person. I feel victimized and that this "manager" is allowed to have done that to me in "2008" and that my feelings don't matter. I shop at that store quite often for it is only about a mile from where I live. I don't cause problems there. I shop and go home. I did not got to the store that morning to be hurt and offended...I went there to buy what I needed and go home. Now, I am now not only angry about what happened but I am left to have this negative, unnecessary, ignorant and stereotypically-based treatment of me to leave its horrible mental poison to have me feel harassed & devalued as a person. This should NEVER have happened to me. And it should NEVER happen to anyone else either.

I am trying to settle a dispute with your jewelry dept concerning a return of a tennis bracelet. Walmart is giving me NO satisfaction whatsoever. This is a relatively simple matter if only someone would listen and take "customer service" seriously. A reply to this email will convince me I have a interested party. If not WalMart is just another cheap store.

I have been to this store on so many different occasions and I recently noticed that I was being overcharged by a couple of cents. Then on my second visit, I was overcharged by 33 cents, on my third trip also so I send a complaint to the store and I was told that they were going to address the problem. Well, I went back to the store and their prices on the shelf rarely match the prices that the register rings up... So I looked around and they had rollback price tags that said one thing and a huge sign with another price for the same item.

I purchased three containers of the Great Value Buttermilk Biscuits from this store. About a week later, I opened them to prepare for dinner. To my shock, there was something rock hard in several of the rolls as I separated them. Upon investigation, it was clear that the hard pieces were chunks of shattered glass! I set the mess aside along with the original wrapper and opened another tube. I found the same with the second and the third tubes! This was especially frightening since I was preparing these to be eaten by four children as well as the adults in our family! The consequences, had I not been paying close attention, could have been grave!
As a result of this matter, I am very leary of any Wal-Mart products and will not be bringing any into my home. Items purchased by others however, also concern me greatly. These products could easily be digested by another child, and how can I be sure what my children are eating away from home, such as, at church gatherings, friends’ homes, and daycare where Wal-Mart products may be purchased and have the same or similar contamination in their products!

I have been purchasing motor oil for years from Walmart. When the price of crude was 140plus/barrel a 5 quart container of Pennzoil was priced at 997. When the price of crude started to substantially drop a month ago the price was increased to 13.50, then a couple of days ago rolled back 12.00. I don't understand the huge increase, now oil is less than 70/barrel. I can buy the oil cheaper by the quart from a local parts store. Do you expect to reduce the price further?

I purchased the GE Walmart canister vacuum, model number 169072, 8/6/07. I ordered replacement bags GE Canisters Style CN-1 5/07 as recommended online. They did not fit. The vacuum will not work without the correct bags. I called 877-207-0923 7/2/08 and spoke to Bill in Walmart customer service. He said the bags were renamed Arm and Hammer VC396. Bill said the delivery would take 6 weeks. I ordered them. They didn't come. I called back 8/14/08 and talked to Bill and reordered. I asked if the bags could be sent by faster mail. Bill said, "No, they could only come in 6 weeks."
When they didn't come, I emailed Walmart online customer service and complained. They inquired if the purchase was made online or in the store. I responded and said I purchased it in the store. The customer service did not respond. I sent a follow up email and received no response. On 9/28/08, I sent a letter of complaint to Lee Scott CEO of Walmart reviewing my customer service complaints and requesting a refund on my vacuum or the correct vacuum bags.

For the past 2 weekends my wife and I have been to the local store here in Circleville. Last weekend the garden center doors was still locked at 12 noon. This weekend we went down to shop and the same thing at 10:30 am. I called and spoke with acting manager Mike who stated there was no reason for them to be locked. I agree, we and a lot of older people like to take the shortest walking distance to the store and enter thru the garden center where we also shop.
I average approx., anywhere from 300 to 500 per week at this store in food and other items. We use to shop at Krogers for our food items and found better deals at your store, but if this keeps up we will cease to buy anything there. My wife has a credit card there under the name of Margette **, same address, but I pay the bills so I will be the one who says where our money goes. If you think I'd like you to check her account plus what all the cash and checks we write there. I have a close friend who works for you by the name of Carol ** who lives across the street from us, so if there is questions as to my complaint, asked her. She will tell you I shoot straight from the hip and pull no punches as to what I have stated.
A week ago I jumped the store manager (woman, no name) and said I was checking out thru that department and leaving thru that door and she checked me out and let me out that door, but turned around and locked the damn door right behind me with other customers trying to get in. Now if this is the way you like to retain customers this is up to you.

A couple yrs ago Walmart Special Kitty Littler changed to a new bag look. The original was in a bright red bad w/ grey litter, the new was a dull red.... but THIS litter was white dust!!!!! I complained and returned all I'd purchased. I say that to say this: Not long ago Special Kitty changed their Special Kitty brand LIKE PURINA... It came in a blue shiny bag... to a light blue bag... 'a new look'. I have learned these new 'looks' also mean SOMETHING INSIDE HAS CHANGED. One of my cats started getting diarrhea, first runny and almost black w/ blood, then it changed to pancake batter color and consistency. The vet tried everything... After the ENTIRE summer, he said I should try special food, that perhaps he was reacting to the dry cat food... And sure enough, the problem was this NEW 'PURINA LIKE' SPECIAL KITTY DRY FOOD!!!!! I almost lost the boy... So be alert... Any change in the outward, means change on the inside!

I purchased a 50 in DLP HDTV in Jan. of 2007. About 6 weeks after I purchased the tv, the unit quit working for me. I had to wait 3 or 4 months to get a new tv from the manufacturer. Now, Oct. 2008, my tv isn't working again and although I bought the extended warranty they are trying to tell me the repairs aren't covered because the bulbs are a consumable item. I read the new brochures in the store and it does say this, but I specifically asked the employee inside Wal-Mart before I purchased the tv. He told me everything including the bulbs were covered throughout the extended warranty. I explained this to the manager at the Galesburg store and he said it didn't matter what he said that's not the policy. So it is up to me to pay for the repairs.

I purchase Pepsi Products approx. 10-12 Bottles weekly. On the 14th of Oct. I bought Pepsi at Walmart. After opening to have some with dinner, we realized that it tasted as if there was a chemical added to it. We poured the two glasses out, noticed that it almost exploded in our sink. I took the remainder of the bottle to Walmart where it was purchased to make them aware of it, as I did not want other people to get ill or worse. There is no one else in our household who could have added something as only my husband and I live in our home.
Walmart treated me like a moron, kept asking if I want money back. I replied no, just wanted them to be aware as the same Pepsi lot was still on their floor. The reply from them was, Hhm the Pepsi man just left we will show him this bottle next week. I know that it was thrown in the trash after I left. (That is what I assume). They could not be bothered, as the manager seemed to be in a big hurry to attend to something else. Do these people have conscience at all, or is it really mental impairment and they cannot help themselves. Should Walmart employees not be trained better in how to respond to a potentially serious situation??

We had shipped the CD player to Venturer Electronics because Walmart would not exchange it after 30 days. They in turn about 2 months later sent us an older CD player that did not work, and was not the same value as the first. I had made several phone calls to the company regarding the problem & left messages with the manager. Half the time the people on the phone would hang up on me & the manager has never once called me back. I told them that this is a fitness gym that needs music to play all day. We have had to borrow one from a member for the time, but they need it back. We paid good money for a CD player in May, & have only had one for a couple of months.
Venturer still refuses to call me back & said that we could be waiting in to next year before we receive a CD player. I find this extremely unacceptable & unprofessional. I have never had such terrible customer service & unsatisfaction with a company in my life. I will never buy a RCA product in my life, & I will never buy a product from Walmart again. I hope that you will be able to help us with this problem. If they will not send us a new CD player I wish that they would send us the money or credit at a store to purchase another one. I need a CD player for my business asap. All of my members know about this situation & have vowed to never buy a RCA product anymore. We had purchased item #RS2653 after 60 days the CD player shorted out.

I doubt very much if this will help but I have to put in my 2 cents! I in the past worked for you and loved it! Now in the past years, way too much has changed and not for the best either! First you did away with Lay-a-way. That helped so many people in our area and remember we are the ones that made Walmart!! Second of all, you have done away with all the music and with Christmas coming, how awful to shop and have no Christmas music to help put us in the mood to spend money. Oh well, it is your loss. That's why we DON'T shop Target because it is too boring! Third, you have done away with all the sewing and yarn and crafts. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?? And now we hear that Sporting Goods is on the way out! AGAIN, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?? Fourth, I have heard that you're going to automatic phone system and we will be talking to a computer like at Meyers.
Folks, all I can say is that you are digging your own grave. Soon Walmart will be just a thing of the past and you will have NO ONE to blame but the big shots that are making some of the dumbest decisions I have ever heard. I suggest that you re-think some of these ideas. You truly are going and have already lost many of your customers that have helped build and keep Walmart what it was. And while I am at it, please stop buying so much China-made stuff and start helping the USA! This is a serious matter. Everything I have written has been the talk of our town and I'm telling you if you're as smart as you think you are, you will start giving back to us and stop taking away!! We the people are Walmart but we can just as easily become any other chain store. I hope this is taken as serious as it is written!! Think!!! Before it is too late! I wonder if you don't want to fail????

I was at Wal-Mart shopping with my children today as I put my infant in the carrier in the seat part of the shopping cart. To my surprise, as I was shopping, my baby flipped back in the car seat and into the buggy. Thank God that she was strapped into her car seat, and thank God that the cart was full of groceries. If it wasn't full, she would have fallen backwards in the carrier into the shopping cart. This is clearly a safety hazard and there needs to be signs posted around the cart storage area to make people aware of this hazard.
I spoke with the manager and expressed my concern and she told me that it may be a defect with my car seat and that I should contact the Graco company. I told her that there should be signs posted by the shopping cart retrieval to be aware of this safety hazard. She said that she would talk to her safety guy about this. Also I was upset when she told me that there are only 3 shopping carts with infant seats that are attached to them out of the whole super center store. I feel that Wal-Mart does not accommodate mothers with infants. If I can't put my baby in the infant carrier in the shopping cart and there are not enough carts with the carriers attached to them, how am I supposed to shop when I have my infant with me? I cannot afford to pay child care every time I need to go grocery shopping! I really don't know where to go from here but it needs to be known that this can happen and is a very, very dangerous safety hazard.

My Dell Laptop had broken and would be more trouble than it was worth to get it repaired. I went to Walmart to purchase a new one on October 7, 2008. Since I trusted Dell, I wanted to stay with that Brand. The sales associate was very helpful. I saw a display one that I really liked. The associate (Andrew) went to the back to get me a new one $898.00. I purchased the 2 service plan. My total was $1,051.76. I was on my lunch so I put the laptop in my trunk and went back to work. About 3 hours later, I was talking about my new purchase and saying that I wish it had Windows XP and not Vista. My IT guy says, "Go get your laptop and I will install it for you." I get it out the trunk, bring it in. We open it and it's a Toshiba laptop in the box. I tried to call the store but got no answer.
I drove up there immediately and went to customer service. The girl at the desk called someone from electronics and the first thing he said was this was a inside job. He asked if I wanted my money back. I said no, I would like the item that I purchased. He told me to give him a second and he would get me a new one. I waited about 20 minutes for him to return when a woman comes up to me and says, "We're not taking that back because we don't sell that model." I said, "Well, this is what you sold me." She says, "Well, there is nothing we can do."
I start to cry and say, "I don't understand. This is what you sold me." I say to them, "I'm going to call the cops and take out a report," so they tell me to wait, they would get another manager. The manager (Vern) comes up and says, "We are not taking this back." I say, "I spent almost $1100.00 and I have to take this used laptop home." He says yes. I leave the store, call the district manager and leave a message. I then called the corporate store and filed a complaint. The next day, I get a call saying they looked at their security cameras and none of their employees touched the box and that maybe it came from Dell like that. I called my credit card company to start a dispute so now I am just waiting. I spent $1100.00 and don't even have a working computer.

I thought everything was a go until I got my email saying that the order was going to my sister's house, who resides in NJ. I usually get my nephew's gifts from walmart.com so that is the only conceivable way I can fathom why that address was listed as the default and not the BILLING address.
I called customer service at 10:22AM to have Randy tell me once the order has been placed nothing can be done to it unless it's returned. He said that he can do an 'intent to cancel' and those results won't be known until 2 business days. I cannot understand how an address cannot be modified on an order. The shipping label hasn't even been printed yet. Every problem I've always had has always resulted in them pinning their lack of assistance on the 'Fulfillment Department.' First off, I try to avoid Walmart as much as possible because of the lack of customer service. I can usually navigate and find what I need faster than it takes to track down an employee to help me. So this morning, I was feeling optimistic and I saw a TV stand online that I wanted and decided to go straight to the location and see if they had it. I picked up a few household things and went to look at the TV stands. I found what I needed but it was heavier than I could lift. There were three employees standing talking to one another with no customers around in the film department. They could see me standing there and offered no help. I approached them to ask what procedure was, i.e., did I need to prepay and then come back to have someone load it in my car or did I need to have someone come get it and take it to the front etc.
I was informed that they would have to call someone to come and get it for me. I want to say that not one of them smiled or said, "Hey, how are you, what can I help you with", etc. I was a definite interruption to their conversation. I went back over to the TV stands to wait. After waiting 10 minutes (still in plain sight of the three nonworking employees), I finally went back and told them that I was waiting and no one is coming. So the male employee asks me what I needed and I showed him which TV stand I wanted and he walks over to see how heavy it is. Then says he'll be right back. He comes over with a shopping cart, loads it up and I then have to ask him if I can check out at the register he's at. Yeah. That was pretty much the only thing he said to me the entire transaction. I helped myself out to the car.
It's so sad that we have gotten to the point that we are willing to accept this as customer service and not complain to the people in charge. Today is the day that I quit accepting this as the norm. I'm tired of going into an establishment that I have to engage the customer service people by asking them how they are or smiling at them before they ever acknowledge my presence. After all, don't they want MY money? Why should I be treated like dirt and an interruption by people who are getting paid to help the customer? If you don't like your job... QUIT, find another one.
Walmart and other employers, you need to have higher standards and lift your employees up to that. Examples like this however small are part of the problem with why this country is circling the drain. We'll complain about customer service, our schools, our government, etc to our friends and family but we don't do anything about it which means we are part of the problem. I've decided to let manager and employers know about lousy experience and on the flip side I want to report on my good experiences as well.

I just wanted you to be aware that Walmart in Saint Paul Minnesota on University Avenue has put your product Elmo live out TO purchase when all the websites say you must pre order it and its not supposed to be on sale yet in stores. I think that is so wrong when people pay good money to pre order it and pay extra for shipping and stuff. I think they are trying to earn an extra BUCK FOR THEIR STORE.

I would like to bring this to the attention of someone who can help. A lot of people shop at Walmart stores and are oblivious to the truck drivers who bring those goods to that store. While so many drivers on the road need supplies and food to save money, we also require parking on the lot at times. Well while we were in McPherson, Kansas, we parked at the local Walmart to do some shopping. While we sat in their parking lot, two gentlemen approached the driveway carrying shovels and put up a no semi-truck parking allowed - will be towed at owner's expense.
This is not right. RVs can camp out in their lot, yet trucks cannot even park. Aren't truck drivers people too? Don't we deserve to eat too? I just want people to realize this is going on everywhere, and I feel it needs to stop. I think that if the general public started complaining to their local stores about the trucks not being able to park, to buy the things that they deliver in the first place, maybe things would change out here for all the truck drivers in this country. After all, isn't it a free country. Thanks in advance for your support.

I do not like to complain. But i find this rather disturbing. It seems to me that Wal-Mart always has a clean nice appearance. Now I love the Wal-Mart at the north belt location, the people are always great. This is my issue: I was in your store on 10/02/2008 about 1:30 am when i went to the make up department. Ok, women want to look their best so when you ask the person a question in that department you don’t, as a woman, want to ask a man who looks like he just crawled out from under a car. Who has no idea what kind of make up you’re talking about. This is a department, i am sorry, where a woman needs to be. Women don’t feel comfortable going up and asking a dirty-looking man “What do you think about this product?” I asked a question, he just looked lost. That is a department women should be working in. When I ask about lip plumpers i don’t expect the person to laugh and say “I don’t know what that is.” What kind of person would send someone to a department that’s about beauty and cleanliness who doesn’t know himself? Does not belong there, he was out of place and had no idea about the products that people needed help with. Like i said i love your store. I know you do your best to help the customer. Thank you for listening.

I recently took a sales ad to the Greenwood Walmart from Aldi’s that stated US #1 Russet Potatoes 10# Bag For $1.99. I assumed that since Every Walmart in America has a Policy Statement hanging up when you walk through the door, that we will match ANY Competitors sales Price as long as it is the same product in question. The US #1 Russet 10# Bag of spuds had no difference in wording or brand whatsoever. Needless to say, I was told that they would not match the price because they couldn't take that kind of a hit on cost. To me they need to change their wording on their price matching policy or be sued for false advertisement. This seems to happen more and more as our economy struggles. I'm just an average Middle Classed Joe that wants to take advantage of a cost savings when it is available.

I had a film that I wanted to have developed at the 1 Hour Photo STORE that Walmart has always had in their stores. The woman behind the counter very rudely stated that they only had "2 day service now, and I could come back then!" I am handicapped and cannot get out every day to come and go with any ease like the non-handicapped people can. Why is this service being taken away from Walmart's customers? While the film is being developed, we are shopping, and thusly spending money at that Walmart store!! THIS WOULD SEEM TO ME TO BE A "WIN-WIN SITUATION!"
If I need to go to Target or Kmart to find a 1 Hour Photo shop, then I will be spending my money at their stores, NOT Walmart!! This is too bad as I love the Walmart stores and would really hate to have to go elsewhere. Like I stated above, I am handicapped, and need to accomplish all of my business when I am able to get out and about. I cannot get in and out of a car with any ease, so running all over town, looking for a 1 HOUR PHOTO STORE is a great inconvenience!!! If this decision is to be nationwide, please change your policy! This is a bad decision!! If you start taking services away from your customers, they will take their business away from you!!!

Walmart Freehold store has lower prices on so many items. Every time I go there when I get to the register if you don't watch the price on the shelf is lower than the register price. Today Oct 2, 2008, I bought 2 bottles of octane booster - shelf price 1.98. I used the self-checkout. The price for the octane booster was 4.50. I called the lady over. She said "I will go check out the price." She comes back with the price tag from the shelf which says 1.98. She says "look, this is a different name brand." In tiny writing which I could not read without a magnifier was a different brand. I said I want my money back. In the return department I told the women this is a crime. The price is marked 1.98, there are no other bottles there but this brand. One is 1.98 and a stronger bottle, same brand is 6.95. The brand for the 1.98 bottle, which you cannot read, is not on the shelf. I have had so many problems with the Freehold store. I told them I would never shop there again, and I would spend a lot of money in this store. I am pissed off at Walmart.

However, two particular happenings come to mind. I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I ALWAYS have trouble finding a parking space, no matter what time of day I go to shop. I asked someone why in the spring they set up their greenhouse on the south end of the parking lot and in doing so eliminate 6-8 handicap spaces while not producing any additional parking spaces elsewhere. I just got an I do not know. This has gone on for many years since.
Also, on my last trip to the bakery, I purchased my usual dozen cookies. There was a new Walmart label on it, but when I got home, I opened the package and it hit me that the package had no sticker on it to assure that it had not been tampered with. It was so anyone could open them and do whatever they wanted and nothing would alert the consumer that it had been tampered with. It is just something I think Walmart should correct and I wonder how they can get by doing this with food.

I looked down on the wooden skid I was sitting on there it was, A peice of plastic about the size of a penny. So I called home on my cell phone to warn my fiance not to eat them or let my 4 year old son have any either of course and she told me the night before she had also found A peice of plastic in her muffin. She had thought that maybe the plastic container had broken and it was from that but now both of us have had the same expierence.
I havent touched the other two muffins and I dont plan to. I didnt know what to do so I called Wal-mart and asked for the bakery. I asked the lady if they had made the muffins that I had bought the night before and she informed me that they did not make any muffins there at all. So I told her the story and all she said was to bring the muffins to the store and they would refund my money. At that point I informed her that she should probably tell someone about this and the way she answered me I dont think she is going to.
I dont have any physical damage but I could have and thank god my 4 year old didnt choke on any plastic because I caught it.

After asking an employee to clarify the correct price she asked at the customer service desk. My husband was told and the employee came back to me and said since the price on the shelf (both had the same skew #'s) was 17 cents they would honor it, no limit. So we were instructed to bring the merchandise to the desk to be checked out. Because out community was looking for inexpensive items for Halloween for the children we decided we would purchase 144 boxes of 24 count to donate to the community.
After the first sales person checked us out she asked another gal for her number to put into the computer. When she saw that we were purchasing that amount she said in a raised voice I can't sell you that many for that price because I would be loosing to much money. she then called the manager and she asked him or told him she couldn't do it. When does the person at the customer service over ride the manager? She said she could sell us one at 17 cents but we had to pay full price for the rest. We DIDN'T purchase them.
When my daughter called back to the store and talked to Jeff she was told that the price had increased to over a dollar the beginning of the week. Told us if we wanted to come back to the store he could possible work out a deal of half price with us. By this time we were 7 miles from the store. When we returned home I called the Independence, Iowa store to ask what the policy and was told that I should have received one free and $3.00 off the rest of the purchase.
We do alot of business with Wal-mart but after being told differnt policy's or changes in prices etc I'm not sure if Wal-mart warrants our or any of our family's business. I had to leave after I put the fish in their tank and bowl, and when I got back, the red eye was dead.
A few hours later, I checked the remaining fish, and the black neon was dead. And now one of the two sharks are dying, and the other shark will die soon too, as they did not inform me that these sharks need TEN GALLON TANKS and MARINE SALT WATER.
They are keeping these sharks in HUGE groups in a five gallon tank of freshwater! AND SELLING THEM TO CHILDREN! On top of that, I went to wash out the betta tank, and the thing was melted in the corner, and did not hold water. So my betta has no home right now but a different one gallon bowl I had.

Today, September 24, 2008 I went to the fabric section of the Wal-Mart store, at that time I noticed an employee was available to help. I selected several pieces of fabric to be cut. Now, when I was ready, the employee wasn't available and I needed help with the fabric. I rang the bell, waited a few minutes and rang again. This went on for about 30 minutes. I left and did some other shopping. I returned to that department, no one was available, yet. I rang again to no avail. I went to another department, they announced once that help was needed in the fabric department and then no more. No one came. I went to the customer pick-up counter, no one was there.
I walked through the store and finally found a manager (so the name tag indicated), she apolgized and directly found a man that would volunteer to cut. As soon as he had cut one piece the employee that was supposed to work the fabric department appeared, some 40-45 minutes after I had made my selections. She said someone else was supposed to cover for her, of course. He said to her, no problem. Well, I had a problem, and no one felt it was important. Upon leaving the fabric counter I noticed little pods of employees chitchatting here and there as if nothing needed doing.
Next I went to the cashier, she rang up my items. I paid and picked up my bag. I said, is this the only one I have? --as she was the one packaging and I was the one writing the check. Yes, was the answer, one bag. By this time I was so aggravated that I just wanted out of Wal-Mart. I took the bag and headed for the parking lot. As I walked I thought a little clearer and I realized this couldn't be my only bag. I went back in, lo and behold my other 2 bags were setting on the floor waiting for me, along with a sorry.
This kind of thing has happened to me many times, with Wal-mart, at the check out, I end up getting in my car and driving back to the store to retrieve my missing items I have paid for. It'll be a while before I head for Wal-Mart, I'll have to be desperate.

Then I went to stand in a VERY long line when a employee said to go to service desk and I would be checked out. NO ONE ever came so I finally went and stood in another line and FINALLY I was checked out!
I ask to speak to a manager but only saw an assistant manager who could care LESS. There were people waiting for help but no one in the store would help. MY nerves are shattered!

i purchased 5 cans of enfamil gentlease and recv'd competitors disc. price with no problem. this is store# 2627 univ. west tampa. however, i had a coupon from enfamil for each can that stated consumer:use as coupon and retailer:process as a check directly to you bank acct. neither the check-out clerk or the mgr. named bill (not sure if he was asst.mgr or mgr) knew how to process this coupon. bill insisted that it be processed as a check and not a coupon and refused to get advice from anyone else. so, i finalized the purchase without the benefit of $25 worth of coupons.
as i was driving over to my daughter's home from that store, i began to steam. so, i decided to go to the store closest to my daughter's home...store# 5220 tampa, fl. and go in and talk to that mgr. and ask him/her what the problem was. she very politely told me that it had to be processed as a vendor coupon, but i would have to return to store# 2627 to have them redeemed. so, i said thank you so much and drove back to store#2627 and spoke to bill again about what the other mgr. had told me. he was polite but obviously irritated and very adamant that it must be processed as a check and there was an outstanding balance on a bad check against the name or acct...and since there were three different names on them that they were somehow all connected and he would not process them as a coupon.
he still refused to get someone else's advice or opinion and that's what irritated me. so, the next day i went back to store# 5220 with the product, the coupons and the receipt and explained everything to the mgr. and asked her if i could return the product and buy it back using the coupons....which she very graciously did and i am still a very happy walmart customer.

Pepperidge Farm Garlic Bread shelf price $1.96 yet register price was $2.34. Bacon (don't remember brand-knockoff) shelf price $2.25 yet register price was $3.36. The cashier adjusted the 2 boxes of brownies after much encouragement by this consumer however she acted as if she didn't believe me on the shelf prices of the bacon and garlic bread.
She didn't offer to have anyone do a price check and the people behind me were becoming angry. I have my reciept where it clearly shows the register prices, brownie adjustments, and removal of the garlic bread and brownies. I will hang on to this.

What is walmart doing about this . If walmart cannot provide the safety for the cars why they have to spend this much for the servileince cameras and the survielence vehicles in the parking lot . i went with lot of stress apart from the physical damage to the car.

I had a full cart of things that I had coupons for, when I got to the check out, I gave the lady the coupons some of the coupons came out of the paper and then some of them came from the computer. I was told that I can us one of the coupon that came from the computer. I told the lady that was waiting on me that wasn't right, and she tried to call a manager, but couldn't get one and finally a manager came to her staition and she asked about it and she approved it.
Also, I had another time that I was using coupons that I had and I was told that I could only use under $30.00 dollers in coupons which I didn't have in the first time and I have not heard that there is a limit to the coupons that you use.
I felt like that I couldn;t save the money for my family and I felt that the store was taking advange of me several times. When I ask the service desk assistant about it she said I would have to discuss it with a manager. After the long wait in line to get to the desk then to be told I would have to wait once again to speak to someone, it was best that I leave.
I am LIVID that Walmart supports this type of abuse and wont even cash a 101.00 dollar check. I have seen them type in other peoples Social security numbers for cashing checks. Her social security number was on her identification.
The only way we were adversely affected was that we were embarrassed to be treated that way because we are a military family. My daughter also didnt get to spend her money at Walmart. I guess 101.00 dollars isnt enough for them to care about losing.

At the time I started to get very angry because I've been waiting in line for about 15 minutes for them just to get a price check on the items. The people behind me were also starting to get very angry.
While waiting, the young man behind me went to the other lane but, return after the young clerk rudely told the young man that she weren't going to ring up anymore customers and that she will only be doing this for a minute or two. Quote this is not my job. After waiting in line for the last price check, something went wrong with the computer.
After waiting almost 45 minutes in line, the clerk, nor manager couldn't get their register to act right. I went to checkout, and the three lanes, (two of which were 20 items or less!) were full clear back to the clothing department. When I complained to the cashier after waiting 40 minutes in line, she said, Well, you know it's the first of the month! If they knew it was the first of the month, why didn't they bring in more staff to cover?
When I went there last week, I had the same problem. I spend around $150-$200 per week at Walmart, but will take my money elsewhere. I REFUSE to wait in their lines, and deal with their rude clerks. I may save a buck or two at Walmart, but the strain it is having on my nerves and my blood pressure are not worth it. Thanks for listening to me.

During the summer of 2007, I purchased 22 gallons of McCloskey exterior stain/paint in order to paint my home. Most of the product came from the Wal-Mart in Augusta,ME some from Wal-Mart in Waterville, ME and some at the Wal-Mart in Seabrook, NH. Reason for several store purchases is because the stain/paint was no longer available in the Augusta store. As the painting project had begun, we thought it prudent to continue with the same product. In this regard, the sales staff at Wal-Mart Augusta promised the paint would be delivered to their store; it never was.
Be that as it may, it is now one year since the painting of my home, and we find it necessary to repaint because the McCloskey brand has peeled and chipped. When I was shopping for product and in order to seek the most cost-effective yet quality product, I had been told the Wal-Mart product compared to Glidden paint. IT DOES NOT, and the reason I know this is because people who have used Glidden are not experiencing the same problems with the exterior properties.
The cost per gal. is $15.62 plus 5% ME state sales tax, totals $16.40 per gal x 22 gal cost me a total of $360.80. This figure does not include painting contractor costs. Not a bad costing IF the project end result had been satisfactory; it is not. Now that the painting project needs to be redone, it has become a costly project for me. I am retired, living on a fixed income and while it may be argued that I made the decision to purchase the product. However, I purchased the product in good faith, was told the product compared favorably with a brand name, and that customers across the USA have been satisfied.
Wal-mart exterior paint, McCloskey brand, used to paint a Maine home in 2007 needs to be redone due to peeling and chipping of paint less than 1-year old.

In the state of Colorado, it is illegal for people to bring their pets, in particular, dogs, into stores that sell food. The only exemption from this law is if the dog is an assist dog. People have been bringing their animals into this store some time now. I was checking out, a man had his puppy with him, put the dog on the checkout merchandise counter to pay for his purchase. Not only did the checkout person not tell the man that dogs were not allowed in the store, she proceeded to pet it. Standing by was a manager, I turned to the manager, reminded her about Colorado state law. She gave me a blank stare, did nothing. The man actually turned around and told me to mind my own business.
So the way I see it, not only did Walmart employees and manager break the law but condoned it. I called the company of Walmart, and was told that they can not ask if a dog is a pet or assist animal. However, that is not correct. There are questions they can ask to determine if the animal is just a pet. those questions come from the organization that protects the handicap. In other words, my health, the condition of the store in respect to cleanliness nor the condition of the merchandise is of any concern to Walmart.

Meanwhile, I have unloaded half a shopping cart full of groceries--as in perishable, refrigerated items--on the conveyor. We all wait, and wait and wait...for 15 MINUTES for a supervisor to bring the cash. Hello! Has Walmart ever considered the disservice it's doing its cash paying customers by serving as the Bank of Walmart? Hello? What good is Walmart doing for customers like this who have no credit, no bank account, etc.?
So now I have to maneuver through the amply widened aisles of the Walmart mega-store...now that it has succeessfully run my local REAL grocery store out of business. Oh yes. Now, grocery shopping has become a retail sport, dodging every shopper plus his/her child, spouse, neighbor, child-down-the-street and anyone else who joined them for a trip to the Walmart grocery. Hello! Is there no justice for a person who simply wants to buy groceries and get the heck out of the store? Groceries. That's all I want. I don't want to converse with my fellow shoppers. I just want to buy my overpriced food and get out of there. I don't want to walk all over a football-field-sized warehouse to get my dog food on one side of the store, and then walk all the way to the other side for my regular groceries. Why does every store get to set differenat prices on the same product? I thought the motto was lowest price around or something.
So because I live and generally shop at a smaller Wal-Mart I have to pay the higher price? When I called the HOT line to complain the rep said each store can set their own price for each product.

Several months ago, my parents visited the Roanoke Rapids SuperWalmart. They purchased several items. As one of the items, was a family pack hamburger carton. The meat was already pre-packaged in one of Walmart's black carton's and sealed with plastic wrap as is customary. My parents kept the meat frozen in a cooler and traveled two hours back to their home.
Just today, it was my turn to visit my parents and guess what, they decided to thaw out that hamburger meat purchased from Walmart. However, upon grilling burgers on the grill (which I did not eat meanly because I did not feel like hamburger) as the last section of the first section of the hamburger was to be tossed on the grill, we noticed something blue, much to our surprise and the disgust to anyone who had eaten burgers already there was a BLUE LATEX GLOVE attached to the remaining hamburger!
Instead of using the styrofoam that usually comes with the hamburger somone had used a blue latex GLOVE. My mother than removed the other section of the hamburger which she HAD NOT COOKED and lo and behold THERE WAS A MATCHING LATEX BLUE GLOVE attached!
I then called the Roanoke Rapids Walmart. Where I spoke to the Associate in the Meat Department (Ashley) who informed me that the Meat Department Manager was not in but that Walmart did not personally package the meat and did not use blue gloves at all BUT That the meat came from a processing plant! She then apologized and understood my concern and instructed that I call the store manager since her manager in the meat department was not in.
I then spoke with Mickey the store manager and was instructed that if my parents brought in the damaged meat, and the latex gloves, and the packaging that Walmart would replace it (how rewarding). Yet, little was said about why the latex glove was found in the meat as I got more of an understanding and knowledgeable response from the meat department. However, upon further questioning about the product, I was informed that if I brought in all of the aforementioned vs just taking the meat back to a local Walmart she could run a check on the packaging and write a report to see if the manufacturer or processing plant would assume liability. I asked her what that would mean for me and she said that since I didn't eat the meat then she could not say but probably nothing.
And although I did not eat the meat, others before seeing the blue glove did eat. Hopefully, PRAYFULLY with no side effects, but I did not think that situation was handled very tactifully or concerning. And while I understand that she did not want to be legally binding, a better customer service approach would have been better warranted and appreciated. Photos minus the meat have been taken but other than that the originial contents have been disgarded with the garbage.

Occasionally, in the past this happens even when I point out the coupons as soon as I get to the cashier. The cashier always apoligizes saying they forgot and then asks me to rerun my card. Because I am a resonable individual and understand people forget or make mistakes I gladly swipe my card again and finish my shopping experience smoothly.
But tonight this cashier would not let me rerun the card. She gave me my receipt and told me if I wanted to get reimbursed for my coupons I had wait in the customer service line. Even though I felt it was unfair that it became my responsibility to fix her mistake I stood in line. I stood there twenty minutes debating whether this was necessary. I decided it was necessary if at least on priciple. I am making efforts to save money even while a company that prides itself in saving me money was very careless about my time and money. I even tried to voice my frustation to the customer service rep. at the customer service desk. My comment landed on deaf ears as he was trying to do several things at one time. He barely acknowledged my comment at all.

our biggest fear was another baby would be harmed before it was taken off the shelves. Walmart is very aware of what happened. But continue to sell it with a five star rating. I refuse to go to walmart! The store is always a shambles, the counters are ripped apart, and the sales associates either ignore you, or deliberately avoid you. I do not understand how you can be standing less than 2' away from the cashiers and yet they can act as though you are not even there. A simple hello, or have a good day could make the atrosiously long lines more bearable
My 4 year old son was standing by my side looking at some treats on the end of an aisle when an employee can whipping around the corner on one of their pallet jacks, and knock him over. The man KEPT MOVING! He didn't even stop to pick my son up from the floor, another associate saw it and came over, but had the nerve to tell me that my son should watch where he stands, we're working here. Luckily he was fine, but because of that and the fact that you have to kick merchandise out of the way to simply walk down the aisles I will never go there again. I'm going to Kmart where they actually care about the customers.

I bought a GPS unit. I was uncertain about which model to buy and the sales assoicate told me not to worry about i because I would have 30 days to return the product if it wasn't what I wanted. I bought the item on 8/2/08 and knew within a few days that it did not have the features I was looking for. I did not hurry to return as I had 30 days.
I went to return it today 8/22/08 and was told it had to be returned within 15 days and was shown some fine print on the receipt. I calmly appealed this policy, stating that I was informed otherwise by their sales associate. When I spoke with the manager he told me again that this was their policy and he couldn't change the policy. At this point, I became a little heated and said, obviously his sales associate had already changed the policy by misinforming me, that exceptions could always be made to policies and that sense I was given misinformation they needed to avoid false marketing by taking back the d#$@ GPS.
Bill then looked at me and said, well, I was going to do it for you but since you cussed me I am not going to. I was flustered and asked what I had said that was cursing, he told me I said, d@#! gps and besides, no one was going to talk to him that way in front of his costumers. I said, so you could have done it, made an exception to the policy but you are not going to because I cursed? He said, yes.
I asked to speak to his supervisor. He refused. I said I would wait until they found someone who could talk to me. He said if I didn't leave the store immediately they were going to call the police and have me escorted out of the store. I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing. My husband went in to the store and they confirmed that they wouldn't change the policy since I had become angry and cursed. What recourse do I have?
I am now humiliated, threatened with police action and still out over one hundred dollars because the Walmart employee gave me misinformation.

I took my Amtron Watch in to have the battery changed. I had bought the watch from K-mart on sale for $54.00 in 2006 for a Christmas present to myself. Then the battery went dead sometime around July 2008. The girl behind the jewelry counter took my watch to change the battery. I noticed she was having a hard time getting the back off my watch. She kept making faces and sighing. After about 6-7 minutes, I was starting to get nervous and thought I should tell her never mind, I'll take it back to where I bought it but at that point she got it off. She put the battery in and snapped the back back on. Then she went to set it. She moved away from me and kept messing with the watch. Then she made a face and came back over toward me and put my watch on the counter.
I paid her. Then I picked up my watch and she hadn't set it. So I was going to set it before I left so I could wear my watch. When I went to set it, the stem fell completely out of my watch. It was broke. I told the manager what happened. The manager explained to me that the clerk is suppose to have the customer sign a paper relieving clerk of any responsibility for mishaps (or however she explained that) to watch. She also stated that the clerks are to set your watch before giving it back to you.
Manager then called girl over to talk with her. The clerk said she just popped the battery right in. I said it looked like she was having trouble because it took her a few minutes and she was making faces. The manager took the watch apart and found the stem was broken. She said that was unusual to be broke there. Said you would have had to set and wind it alot of times. I told her I had only set the watch 2 or 3 times since I had bought it and that was because of daylight savings time. I also told her my watch was working last time I set it. She said maybe I could have a jeweler fix it. I took my watch and left. I was very hurt and upset that they dumped me like that.
A week or two later, I went back and asked for the top store manager. They called the manager who was over the jewelry section. I told him the story and he went and got the manager that looked at my watch the first time I was there. The jewelry manager told me he would have to do some research and then get back with me. To this date, I have not heard a word from anyone from Walmart. They just blew me off again. I was so hurt that I promised myself when I bought another watch - IT DEFINITELY WOULD NOT BE FROM WAL-MART. It is not fair that I went in with a working watch and came out with a broken one.

After I finished paying Amber says due to company policy we are only able to sell one per customer per day. I said I had already paid for them and had never heard of that. I said one of the systems I'm buying and the other my daughter who was with me. Amber says that she has to be 18 to purchase. I told her that was ridiculous and the system is rated E for Everyone so there is no problem in her purchasing it. I said I wanted to speak to a manager she said there was not one.
During this time there was about 2-3 customers behind me witnessing this. One of the customers said she would buy the system for me because what was happening was unfair. She expressed how this was not proper cust serv. What's really funny is that no one knew about this policy to start with! It seems like just out of the blue she comes over and wants me to refund one of the items I already paid for. Did she want one for herself and realized I bought the last ones?
This is not the first time I have had an issue with customer service at this store. If Wal-Mart is so concerned about 100% cust satisfaction then it should train it's employees to deliver that. Besides making me terribly unhappy, they showed a poor representation of themselves to the customers that were around. If this is the way I am going to be treated I would much rather drive another 20 miles to Chillicothe.
This company humiliated me in front of other customers through no fault of my own.

This double wait was very frustrating as the wait at just the return desk is usually quite long and I have other things to do with my time. The man in front of me had about 30 items to return and it took the greeter 45 minutes to an hour to scan and ticket each of his items then he had to have each item scanned again at the return desk. This is totally unnecessary.
There was no damage just a total waste of a lot of my time. I will not be buying Christmas gifts at WalMart if this is what we have to go through to return any items that do not fit or are inappropriate for any reason. Other stores have much better and faster return policies.

Being a Senior citizen and on a really fixed income, I really depend on Wal-mart in Milford, Pa.,to do most of my food shopping. What really bothers me is this: Many times when an item is on sale, with the current price on the shelf, it always rings up at the before the sale price. I have had this happen numerous times. It may say $2.50 but will ring up as maybe $3.98 (for instance). This has happened so many times, I can't keep track. Don't they change their computers accordingly?
I think it is a way for them to sell things at a higher price, and the buyer may not catch it until they are at home and look at their receipt. Believe me, I pay close attention to what is being rung up. So many times I have had to go to customer service and get a refund.
Another gripe I have is this: So many times I go to buy something that I usually buy, only to find out that Wal-mart is no longer selling that item. It's not only food. I went to buy embroidery thread, and they told me they no longer carry this. Where else can I go to find this item? I can't travel too far. It is a real shame. I really feel that Wal-mart is not all that its said to be.
Another complaint is that 3 different frozen foods I went to buy were cut or split open! I guess whoever unpacks these for the freezer is not too careful with the razor blade. When I got home, my ice cream had a big slit cut through the top, letting air into it. With my vision the way it is, I did not notice this until I got home under better light. One good thing I can say, is that the personnel in this store are very friendly and have been helpful.

The 150 row was right above so I assumed it was placed in the wrong row and it was 150. That is what it was marked. Why would I assume any different than the price on the item.
I went to purchase it and was told the 150 was the OLD price I had to pay the NEW price 200. I talked to Terry the manager and she informed me that it does not matter what the item is priced that they do not have to give it to the customer for that price. Their policy is to give you 3 dollars off. Making sure I am understanding her correctly I gave an example. I said if you have a shirt marked 10$ and it scans 15 you will give me 3$ off and i will pay 12$ but will not give me the price you are advertising it as being. She said yes.
According to her there is no law that a store has to give you the item for the price they have marked. It was not like it was a slap sticker that was altered and could have been from another item. I could see that. It was a tag attached to the item with a price sticker from walmart. It is also in a locked case. If this is the case stores can put any price they want on an item and charge what ever they want? does not sound like that could be right.

When they do get them in they are normally when we are at work and then are gone with in a short amount of time because they only get a few in. We have asked them to call us when they get them in. They stated that they can not do that and so we have to keep calling them. We have asked management to hold a box until we can get off work to exchange it on the days that they are expecting a shipment, they will not do that.
We can not return it for a full refund because we used a coupon. Meanwhile we are out the $ and Wal-mart gets to keep it in their pocket without providing a working tuner box for over 3 months now. This seems like consumer fraud to provide defective products and not allow to exchange due to insufficient stock. This should have been disclosed prior to purchasing the item. They should have stated we can sell you defective product and you may never be able to exchange it for working product. Buyer beware.
We have been out the funds for the box ~50.00 but have not been able to use it to watch HDTV and have no known date in sight when we may be able to get a working product. We have driven to the store on multiple occasions only to find out that the stock they got in earlier in the day is gone. This is about a 20 min. drive. While at the Brick, NJ Wal-Mart at approximately 6:45pm on Saturday, August 15, I was finished shopping and proceeded to the Express Checkout where the cashier, then scanned all of my items. When it was time to pay, I used my debit card in the machine provided. I then entered my pin and was told by the cashier that my pin was wrong. So I tried again and it say wrong pin again. I could sense something was different with the debit machine this time since I had used it many times before and never had any problems. Here is where it got very embarrassing for me.
With 3 others customers behind me waiting and watching all of this, the cashier told me that "maybe I didn't have enough money to pay for the items". I then told her that now she was insulting and embarrassing me in front of other customers. Her response was "Don't you have a Credit Card you could use?" I do not use credit cards and I don't think it was right for her to suggest that so I told her "No, I don't use credit cards, which is why I am debiting my purchase." She then said "Maybe you hit your limit for the day and that I may have debited too much already." Again, the reason I use my debit card is so that it will be treated as cash.
The last time I checked, I didn't have a limit on my debit purchases since it came directly from my checking account. In addition, I had only charged about $100 that day so I can't imagine I would be over any "phantom" limit she thought existed. I then asked her what I should do since I had a cart full of merchandise and she said "Can you get cash out from the ATM machine?" So I said "I guess, but I don't usually like to use my savings account to pay for things and I hate getting charged for taking out money, which is why I use my Debit card."
So I went and took $40 from the ATM machine and went back to the line where my cart was with the items in it and stood there while I called my bank to make sure my balance was sufficient to cover the purchase that she had told me was denied.
Well, of course, it was as I told her. As I was standing there, I could see she was going to ask me if I wanted to check out, but then when she saw me on my phone, I saw her make a gesture with her hand and then say "oh, forget it, he is on the phone anyway." At this point, I debated just leaving or going to a manager right away, but I had my baby's formula in my cart and needed to get home so I could feed him so I just stood there and waited as she took other customers in front of me. Finally, after 4 or 5 other customers were checked out, she finally re-scanned my receipt and checked me out and I had to pay her with the cash I had to take out of the ATM machine.
While there was only minimal economic damage (i.e. fee for ATM withdrawal) being a resident in Brick and a loyal customer to Wal-Mart, I was very embarrassed and insulted that this woman would say those things and treat me like that front of other customers. Telling someone and all the people around them that they can't afford something because they are either incompetent or their machines are is unacceptable and slanderous in my opinion and caused me some mental damage of people will perceive me. I give a lot of business to Wal-Mart for both personal and business use, but this experience made me think twice about where my money goes and what I will tell people about my experience.

There are copyright laws and the pictures of my granddaughter were done in a photography studio. I could not have the pictures. I wanted her to show me how she know this. I had the worst customer experience in my entire life at the Wal-Mart location at Keeamoku Street in Honolulu, Hawaii. I firmly believe that I was mistreated by one of [their] employees. I left your store angry, in tears, and had injured and bloody toe caused by your employees.
I returned a SpotBot Cleaner, which I had purchased for my mother as a gift, to the Wal-Mart located on 750 Keeamoku Street in Honolulu, Hawaii today at about 5:30 pm (but did not have the receipt) because the item was not working properly. At the Customer Service counter, the clerk who helped me said that she needed approval from her manager first. Her manager then came and called someone from the Houseware Department to check the device. The Houseware Department employee checked out the SpotBot and confirmed that the product was defective. Then, a different supervisor came and told me that because I did not have the receipt and the product was over $100, she could only give me an even exchange for the same product. She told me to get the SpotBot myself and a clerk would be able to finish the transaction at the Customer Service counter.
As I carried the 20- pound cleaner by myself back to the Customer Service counter, I realized that I really did not want another poor quality SpotBot vacuum cleaner (which I had invested $141) that will probably be defective or break down. As I was waiting at the Customer Service counter to finish the transaction for the exchange of the products, a Wal-Mart employee accidentally dropped her heavy, 12-inch two-way radio on my toe, which was excruciating in pain and caused my toe to bleed and made me cry. She was apologetic about dropping the radio on my toe, but by then I was quite frustrated with the situation of having to lug back a product that I no longer wanted-- by myself-- wait in line again, and then have my toe injured by a Wal-Mart employee. The associate understood the situation, and proceeded to give me merchandise credit instead of the same product.
However, her manager came and disapproved the merchandise credit. The manager said that because I did not have a receipt, I needed to sit and wait while Wal-Mart security looked through one month worth of security video film, to make sure that I did not steal the SpotBot cleaner from the store, and that I had actually purchased it from the Keamoku location. I was very angry that although the manager knew that an employee had dropped her large two-way radio on my toe (and my toe was bleeding) she failed to acknowledge the situation. The manager did not apologize or ask me if I wanted to take any action against this situation. Instead, she aggressively instructed the clerks that I needed to wait until security searched all the film.
After being accused of stealing the SpotBot because I did not have a receipt, I was frustrated and requested to speak with upper management. The Assistant Store Manager handled the situation great. Only after I explained the situation to the Assistant Store Manager, did I receive an apology for the toe injury. The Assistant Manager listened and gave me merchandise credit. Although the Assistant Manager asked me if I wanted to write up the incident, I declined, with the rational that my toe may hurt only for a week or so and that it was just an accident. I was much more angry and frustrated with the rude and completely unprofessional manager who accused me of stealing a 20-pound vacuum cleaner.
Unfortunatly, I left the store distraught and disgusted and did not take down the names of the employees who were helping me. Never in my entire life have I experienced that type of degrading and poor customer service. Although I was granted merchandise credit for the defective item, I had such an aweful experience, that I will most likely give away the merchandise credit no longer shop at this location. I firmly believe that the customer service at Wal-mart in Honolulu, Hawaii needs much improvement.

we belive she was stereo typing us because of the way we looked, or because of the way i talked, because i had cancer and had half of my tongue cut out? i just do not understand why a 55 year old woman can not by paint, or when the store can decide when i can or cannot buy paint. then she said i could come back tomorrow and buy it now what is the diffrence if we buy it today or tomorrow i think this manager could have taken care of this another way. (not a happy shopper)

I have been a Wal-Mart shopper for years....lately I have been very disappointed in the employees (including managers) customer service skills....I have decided I will no longer be a Wal-Mart shopper...The last 4-5 visists have not gone well. It first started with a fishing pole I purchased for my husband...the reel on the pole locked up after a weeks use. I didn't keep the receipt and all we wanted to do was exchange it. They didn't want to...so we got the manager involved....then when we brought the exchange back to the counter they acted like they didn't know what was going on...and we had to get the manager involved again. this took about 2 hours.
My other complaint is we have two Wal-Marts in our town. The newer one does not have as much selection as the older one. The newer one is closer to my home. And the newer one is always running low on stock. Another complaint, my husband needed tires on his vehicle so of course we chose wal-mart...While his vehicle was getting new tires, he did some grocery shopping....Paid for the tires (over $300.00) and paid for the groceries at two separate cash registers, got home and noticed he was missing a bag of groceries. The next time we visisted Wal-Mart we presented them with the receipt with the items we did not get highlighted on the receipt....They would not honor it.
They asked the cashier if she remembered my husband and she said yes and then they ask her if she remembered if he got all his bags. Well, of course she is going to say yes. I said that's it? You can't pull the tapes? Then the manager I spoke to said that they could not pull the tapes....and proceeded to tell me how some lady tried to make off with a cart full of groceries without paying for them. I said that doesn't have anything to do with our case...we spent over 300.00 in tires and 75.00 in groceries today. I'm not trying to steal anything...
My last and final visit from Wal-Mart was Sunday...My husband and I decided to motorcycle riding....the weather was cooler than what we expected, stopped in Wal-Mart to buy sweatshirts. They had a rack of hoodies marked $10.00. So we each picked one and headed to the cashier. She rang one up and it came up $12.00..I brought it to her attention that it was hanging on a rack marked 10.00....She said I have to charge you what it's ringing up. I said no, you will charge me what is advertised on the sign. She said show me. I walked her over to the rack and showed her. Then she called her manager over to her register and said I was claiming these shirts were hanging on a rack marked 10.00...how rude.....I proved it to her! I held my tongue...Anyway then I had to walk the manager over to the rack and show her....The manager shrugged her shoulders, sighed and said Well I guess you can have it Does that make you happy?
I was appalled! I told her it wasn't my problem someone put the wrong sign up and if they didn't want to honor the price they should remove the sign. I also told her they needed to work on their customer service skills. But we got the hoodies for 10.00...And I'm not going to shop Wal-Mart again. And a friend of mine says the 10.00 sign is still in place..

I was trying to cook some fries for my daughter in a wok that was manufactured by Columbian Home Products. I had the wok on the front burner when I noticed that it was starting to smoke slightly, so I moved to the back burner that wasn't on. In doing so, the wok's handle malfunctioned which caused it to twist off center...spilling a bit of cooking oil on the front burner...causing a small fire. I then moved the wok off the stove onto the counter in fear that the fire would spread to the wok. When I did the wok handle twisted a second time causing the hot oil to cover the top of my hand.
My brother, who was also injured, purchased this wok from Wal-Mart less than a year ago as a gift for his wife. After being injured and treated I started my search for legal representation, I also started researching the wok manufacturer. I went to Wal-Mart to see if the still had the wok, so I could get the part number. I was shocked to find that the wok (same manufacturer) was still being sold, but the handle was redesigned.
I received 2nd degree burns to 90% of the top of my hand. I was prescribed pain medication and burn cream. I can't work, write, and my daughter doesn't even want to look at my hand.

I sent my 17 year old daughter to walmart to buy primer for a job i was working on. i sent 2 different cans with her to match. one can was empty and the other was 3/4 full. she put the cans in her handbag, went into the store, matched the paint, put the new cans in the cart and the used cans back into the handbag. she went to check out and the cahier asked for her id. she gave him her id and he said he could not sell the primer to her because she was under 18 because it can be used for drugs. she said i am here to buy it for my parents business and i have the company credit card, would that make a difference? he said no. so she said ok and walked away.
she then called me as she was leaving the store to tell me i had to pick the paint up myself and i heard a guy yell, stop you are stealing paint. she said no i'm not my mom sent this with me to match for her. he said why were you trying to buy so much paint. she said my mom owns a business and she has an order she needs to paint today. he said your lying, hang up the phone. the phone disconnected and i was paniced. i didn't know what was happening. all i could hear was this guy screaming at my daughter and i was in another city.
i called information for the niles walmart's phone number and called. i was on hold for the assistant manager, Ty, when my daughter called me back crying histarically. when she was calm enough to speak, she said the security guard, who was approximately 20 years old, had stopped her at the exit doors. he was screaming at her in front of the other customers. accusing her of stealing spray paint. made her empty her handbag on the floor and he rifled thru her personal items while everyone coming in and going out watched. he finally let her go after several minutes of humiliating her in front of many patrons.
my daughter shopped in walmart at least once a week. she is so humiliated she will not step foot in that store. walmart's manager, Debby, said the security guard no longer works for walmart and apologized to me. I told Ty, the assistant mgr. i wanted the guard to call my daughter and apologize or i would come there with her and he could apologize in person. I contacted corporate and the lady that i spoke with was appauled and said someone would contact us. but no one did. i have requested the video for the time frame my daughter was in the store but have not heard from anyone.

We are very displeased with the services we got from them. with gas at or over $3.50 a gal on top of the fact that the baby the pictures were taken of had to be brought out and put on hold while they tried to figure out what happened to the clerk so all in all we are out over $ 25.00 in gas alone which they can keep.

There is only one Walmart store to serve four Laguna Madre area residents, many of whom are retired. I myself am disabled, and almost every time I have to go there (it has the only pharmacy in the entire area), an eletric cart is not available. It is my understanding that the store has only three carts that are in working condition.
The Walmart personnel to whom I have spoken about this have shrugged their shoulders and said they have asked time and time again for a repairman, but to no avail. This is shameful, and something needs to be done. Thanks for your concern.

I purchased the Petjet washer from Walmart for about $25.00 and it worked fine for several weeks, then I noticed that I had to squeeze the trigger harder and harder each time I used it to dispense water until eventually the unit would not dispense water no matter how hard I pressed the trigger. The trigger is the culprit. It is made of a soft plastic that deforms easily and becomes so flexible that it does not actuate the internal water valve. After 6 weeks of use the Petjet washer would not dispense water and is totally useless. I e-mailed M2PETS 2 months ago and have not heard from them yet.

I took My twin daughters (ages 5 years) in to get a hair cut at the salon and myself an eyebrow wax. Both ladies that cut my daughters hair were very unfriendly and slighlty rude. When we were ready to check out there were a lot of people waiting and 3 people standing at the registers talking. The lady that cut one of my daughters hair checked us out and was very disrespectful while doing so.
It cost over 30.00 for what we had done and as I entered the tip on on my credit card slip I received this as a comment from this person Do you really want us to split $5.00 between the 3 of us? I felt very degraded and felt it necessary to give her 10.00 more as there were many people waiting. She was blunt, rude and was rolling her eyes. I currently work as a customer service Rep and would never think of have that type of attitude towards one of my customer wether I wanted to be there or not. Needless to say that one daughter came out with crooked bangs. We will honestly never use that Salon again. I thank you for taking this complaint in to consideration.

I purchased a pet safety harness for the car. ASPCA sells them through WalMart and at their website. I bought mine from WalMart. I put it in my car and buckled it into the seat belt buckle. When I tried to remove it the harness strap would not release from my car's seat belt. I have taken it to several auto repair shops and they could not remove it. I will have to replace the seat belt and have it installed in my car. WalMart told me to contact ASPCA but ASPCA has not done anything about this problem.
The left rear seat belt in my 1999 Subaru Forester cannot be used. I have to buy a new one for about $125 and havde it installed. I have not gotten an estimate of the installation as yet.
