Wal-Mart's fish department is gruesome. Even though their prices may be a little cheaper than most fish stores, they don't have the experience needed to sell fish. I have witnessed on many occasions where the fishes are dead or dying and left in the tank. There are so many issues concerning the improper handling and care by Wal-Mart employees. I am not, however, putting a blame on the employees. It's Wal-Mart itself that chooses to sell but don't have the people necessary to care or handle this department.

I had used a coupon from the computer several times at this store, yet today I was told Walmart did not honor these coupons. I felt like they did not believe I previously used this type of coupon at this store before. Not only had I used it at this store, but at the Walmart in Jacksonville, NC. I did not make a scene, I only told them Food Lion would and had honored this coupon. What is the problem? I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong. I did not see in the store anywhere that you do not accept this coupon. It was a coupon for Velveeta Cheese and Reynolds Wrap. Why do you not accept these coupon? There were other people around and I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong as well as holding up the line behind me.

I've been to Wal-Mart twice and the items I wanted were out of stock. I’ve seen a lot of empty shelves in the last week and the cashers are the most unfriendly people. Most of the time, they don't say thank you or nothing. Wal-Mart is the only store of that kind in town.

Not once, not twice, but again and again, only one lane out of twenty is open. A long line was formed, and when I asked where the other cashiers were, I'm told to wait a minute. I've bought food from the deli, rushed to the line, only to take 25 minutes to get through the "express" lane. I finally started putting down the food and telling them I'm not eating cold, stale deli food. I've left cart after cart because of the slow service.
Today was the last straw. H.E.B., here I come! I know my $1,500.00 a month at Wal-Mart means nothing to them, but at least I get a smile, a kind word, and service at H.E.B. in Marble Falls. If that eventually fails, my next step will be to open up an old-fashioned grocery store, where people still get in and out in 10 minutes! For me, the lost time is the greatest loss. In my field, Cabinet Mfg and Interior Finish Carpentry, a few minutes equates to loss of jobs and revenue.

My husband was doing an online survey supposedly on Walmart website where we would be eligible for $1000, and gave them our phone number. On our AT&T bill was a charge of $9.99 for subscription to News Prediction game by Predicto. I am furious. I haven't called AT&T yet, but I will. I will not pay for this. I have canceled by texting "stop" to the short code. We have learned a lesson, but what can be done to stop this?

I had just heard a friend of mine tell me last week why he doesn't shop at Walmart anymore because of the long lines. Well, listen to this, all of you hard working consumers. I had just got off from work and when I arrived home, I realized that I had forgotten to pick up some blank CDs for some music I was recording. So I decided to go to my neighborhood Walmart. There I find the blank CDs that I needed and proceeded to the counter to pay at the department with one customer in front of me, and the clerk tells me that the customer in front of me was his last customer of the night. So I said, “Oh, well,” and proceeded to the front checkout lines only to find only 5 registers open on a Saturday night around 10:00 pm. Each line had a minimum of about 40 people and this is at minimum.
I asked for the manager and asked him what he could do about this situation and he replied, "Nothing, all the other registers that you see off are not working because we are remodeling!” I then asked him was there anyone of higher authority that I could speak with and he said, “Yeah, 1-800-Walmart.” By now I am very unhappy as a consumer and placed my CDs on the candy rack and politely walked out and told the little old lady at the front door, “Excuse me, ma’am, could you please tell someone in higher management that you have lost a customer that will never return.” I then went up the street to CVS and found the same CDs for $5 less and realized that the experience at Walmart was well worth learning that CVS has the same product for a cheaper price. Goodbye, Walmart, you will never get my business again. This is why businesses are not successful.

My husband and I went to Walmart Store #2256 in Henderson at 21:45 in the evening to pickup something for our pool. The store was full. There was only three registers open at the front of the store, four at the most. We went to the jewelry counter and checked out along with a lot of other people. The front registers that were open were lined up all the way down the aisles. This is very poor management! I asked the greeter at the door where I could complain, she told me to call or email Walmart Customer Service. She said she had a few customers say that just left their stuff, and that they were not going to wait in those long lines. I see on my receipt that the manager is Richard **. Well, they need to do something with him before they lose all their customers.

I purchased PlayStation 3 console, one game and an extra controller. I went home, plugged in the machine, opened the game CD and found the console did not work. 45 minutes after purchase, I returned to the store to exchange it. Yes, I had the receipt. I was told the serial number of the console did not match serial number on the box. Unfortunately, they did not check the console serial number when I paid and I did not know there was a potential for discrepancy. Had I been aware there was potential for a problem, I would have asked the clerk to compare serial numbers prior to purchase. I then attempted to return the game, it is useless without a functioning PS3. The store refused to refund/exchange the game. I would strongly suggest folks purchasing a big ticket item, check the serial number of the actual item against the one on the box and do so in front of the store clerk.
If anyone has experienced a similar problem, please let me know how it was resolved. The manager thinks I should "eat" the loss. The assistant manager has maintained his customer relations skills although the manager lost his cool and became mouthy on the store video. Also note, policies can be broken by stores at any time. I was not aware of this either. I returned to the store with several witnesses and a camera. Friday, I spent well over two hours there. Saturday, I spent considerable time there. I don't understand why they can't run some type of check on both serial numbers. The corporate told my husband to return to the store on Saturday. They said the manager can always approve any exchange or refund. There are a few more details, we took notes. According to 3 different people at Sony, they have received 500 complaints about this same type of problem occurring at Walmart. Perhaps they should apprise consumers?

I went to Walmart today, June 13, 2009, to purchase a new movie titled Grand Torino. The movies were in a large hard plastic containers containing 2 to 4 movies. I asked a clerk, "why only this movie was in the container?". He stated because of theft. I am not going to walk around Walmart with 2, 3 or 4 movies in a plastic container shopping and then have to go to checkout and have them to remove the movie. I asked the clerk if he could remove the movie and he stated no, he was to busy talking to a female employee. Walmart, you just lost me as a movie customer. I will purchase my movies somewhere else from now on. Get real Walmart, your monopoly is slipping. I think I will try K-mart from now on.

I made a purchase online and there was a problem with my card so the order was canceled by Walmart. But the amount was still showing up on my credit card. I asked Walmart to send a fax (which was requested by my bank) to my bank saying that the order was canceled, because that was the only way my bank would reverse the money. This request was made on June 7.
I was told that I would get it resolved in two working days, to date June 12, this is still outstanding. When I demanded to speak to a manager, I was told none is available, and they would tell me the same thing that they were saying. I requested an email address of a manager and was told that cannot be given. I was put on to a supervisor who eventually got on to the billings department who told me that it would be sent, but they cannot say when. At that point I hang up the phone.

I shop at the Layton Wal-Mart all the time. I do all my grocery shopping there mainly because they’re the only place in Layton that carries Yoo-hoo drinks. Now, they haven’t had any the last couple of times I have went there. I have talked to the employees that work in the grocery department and they all told me that they would order some more. I have went to Wal-Mart several times since then and there is still no Yoo-hoo in the 16 oz cans that my husband likes to take in his lunch. I am very discouraged because I feel that I have been lied to. I have thought about asking at Smith’s grocery store and see if they would or could carry them in their store.

I recently bought a new window unit (AC) for my mom. This unit did not have a guard over the coils the coils are totally out in the open. There are screw holes and nothing says that it doesn’t have a guard. Therefore, I returned to the store and we opened another one and found no guard. This unit was $439 + tax. This makes the unit look cheap and for GE to save a few dollars, I think [they] will cheap themselves right out of business. Personally, I would pay the extra bucks for the guard and considering that the other four units on the house have them. This says don’t buy that brand anymore.

While shopping at Walmart, I have noticed the improper conditions in which they keep their Betta fish. I already spoke to their management but since they aren't knowledgeable on how to properly care for fish (and since they aren't a pet store), they don't see any problem with it. The Betta fish are all kept in individual cups which is unfortunately a protocol, but with very little water in the cups--barely enough to cover their little top fins. The manager's solution at one point was to just pour more water into the cups and I had to tell him that you have to add a water conditioner to remove the harmful chemicals for the fish. My point is, Walmart is not a pet store and should not carry live animals that they have no idea how to care for.

I was injured at work almost 2 months ago. I immediately went to a member of management and told them exactly what happened. The manager denied the incident because he did not fill out a report as he is required to do. Now, almost 2 months later, they tried to get me to change my story by bullying me in an office with 4 managers and myself alone. I stuck to my story. Then, they said they had an associate that gave them a written statement saying he or she saw me running in the park with my children (completely false by the way). They wanted me to see their doctor but I didn't. Under Pennsylvania law, if your employer does not have their doctor’s information posted in the employee areas, you are free to see your own doctor.
Later, I called the store manager to ask if I can come into work and he said, "No, you cannot come to work until you see our doctors. You refused terms of employment, which gives grounds for termination." Yes, he fired me. I got a worker's comp lawyer to help me with this situation. We called the store back and again they denied that this was told to me. The way that I was treated was very unprofessional and I was showed nothing but disrespect. I will never let this go nor change my story because this is completely 100% true and I will not be bullied into saying something different. I hope someone in the main office sees this and contacts me.
I was fired and mistreated with no evidence to prove this because there are only witnesses who will lie. With 4 children to take care of, one of which is autistic, I will have no choice but to go back on public assistance. I and my family are the only ones that suffer from this experience while those who disregarded company policy have no consequences. So, thank you for the worst work experience. Walmart is really a great place to shop because the corporate people make sure of that. But I'll never recommend it as a job to anyone of my friends (that store anyway).

I am a loyal customer of Wal-Mart and have been for over 10 years. I shop at the Wal-Mart in Mechanicsville, VA, and I have always had pleasant experiences with that store until today. I purchased a Power Washer on September 2008. I purchased it at the end of the season, hoping to get an "end of season" price. But nevertheless, I got a good price. I didn't use it until April 2009. I loved it. I made an attempt to use it again in June when I noticed it had a leak. I took it back, hoping to exchange it. I had my receipt, and the power washer still looked new. But, it just leaked; so i just wanted to swap it out.
I went to customer service on June 8, 2009 at approximately 8:50 am. I approached the associate with whom I was not greeted, which is very unlike any other experience I've had. She told me the Power Washer was almost a year old, and they couldn't take it back and very unprofessionally, told me to contact the manufacturer.
I was very angry with the service I received that I called back to the store to speak with a store manager. I spoke to the associate who said her name was Teisha. I'm sure she was the same one I dealt with in the store. She put me on hold for 7 minutes until I hung up and called again. She answered again and said everyone was in a meeting. So i asked for the number for the home office, for which I was given a non-working number.
I called back to the store to get the number for another Wal-Mart location, because I was fed up with dealing with the service I was receiving. And again, I was given an incorrect number. I finally received the number from another location to get the home office number. I will continue to shop at Wal-Mart, because I love the store. But one apple will spoil a bushel.

My experiences with the store in my town has been the most intensely unsatisfactory I can imagine. I bought a CD at the local store here in Ridgecrest and discovered that the music that was supposed to be on the disk wasn't there. When I brought it to the attention of the manager, he said "too bad, but we will not refund your money". I complained to the main office in Arkansas and received no response. Other times when I have shopped there, either the cashier failed to make the proper change or didn't understand how to perform her job. I was shopping for a new TV on another visit and the clerk in the department had no information at all the TV on display when I asked her for information about it.
If there is a company that specializes more in hiring incompetents and dysfunctional I have yet to find it. The store managers that I have encountered are by far the rudest and unresponsive I have ever encountered. My recommendation for anyone contemplating shopping at Walmart is don't! The experience you will have is not worth the cheap prices when compared with the cheap service you will suffer.

I asked my 24-year old son, who is in the Army and has served overseas, to go to Wal-Mart to purchase some groceries and wine for me. He has done so countless of times before. At the checkout he put the wine on the counter first, whereupon he said the clerk (who he said had been extremely rude to him already) told him he had to have all three persons in his party give their ID cards! My son said the clerk was never pleasant at any time, only obstinate! My son responded that he had been in the very same Wal-Mart many times and that he was not going to have everyone with him have to show their IDs! My son said the clerk then responded "Welcome to Wal-Mart!" very sarcastically! So, my son then told the clerk to take the wine and put it back on the shelves.
I am beside myself that my son who has served his country (not to mind that my husband--my son's father--is a retired Navy after 22 years of service) has had to endure such inhumanity and disregard from a clerk who obviously has no regard for the people who have and are still protecting her and our homeland and security! I am truly appalled at the lack of courtesy of someone who is not trying, or willing, to be nice in their job. What kind of people are you hiring at Wal-Mart? I also want to point out that this is not the first time that this has happened to my son when he tried to buy wine at Wal-Mart! I can tell you that I am not finished with this matter. I will continue on with this and let others (e.g., FTA, government, etc.) know what your company is doing! By the way, you may want to check out what your company is selling: a computer game "Tabula Rasa" for $29.99, which appears to be only an online game. The game service has stopped!

Well, I and my two children went to Walmart today and this incident happened roughly around 1 pm. As my 4-year-old son was using the toilet, and myself and my 6-year-old daughter were waiting for my son to finish up, a black female was screaming out, “If you don’t hurry up in there, I am going to beat your **.” Keep in mind this restroom has only two stalls as my children and I were taking up one of them and two little girls were taking up the other stall. So I had opened the door and said, “Excuse me, ma’am, but who are you talking to?” She said, “I’m ** talking to you, **.” I replied, “I’m sorry, ma’am, but my 4-year-old son is on the toilet and there is nothing I can do, so you are going to have to wait like everyone else.” The black female yelled at me again saying, “You better get his ** off the ** toilet right now cause if I peed on my clothes, I am going to beat your guy’s **, and drag him off the toilet myself.” I then yelled at her and said, “Don’t you tell me that because my son has cystic fibrosis, and he can’t help that he is using the toilet and there isn’t enough stalls, so you have to wait, and you don’t have any right talking to me like that.”
Then two black males entered the women’s restroom and they were calling me all kinds of nasty names like, “**, you need to hurry up and shut the ** up or I’m going to beat your **.” Then a bunch of Walmart employees had entered the restroom and the two black males left the restroom and I screamed for someone to call 911 because I don’t have a cell phone. Then a woman came in and took her two little girls out of the stall next to the one my son were using. As that happened, the employees left the restroom and the manager came in and told me if you don’t calm down and stop yelling, I am going to have to escort you out of my store. Hs name is Laddy **. I said, “I am calm and you need to escort the black female out of this store, not me, because she is threatening me and my 2 children.” As I pointed to her, he slapped my left hand with his right hand, and he said, “I am going to call the police.” I said, “Yes, please call the police and I am going to sue you for hitting me. I know my rights,” I told him. The store manager then said, “Well, it was an accident. I’m sorry I hit you, but if you want the police to come here, you will have to call them yourself!” I said, “Why did you hit me? You are not supposed to do that. All I wanted was for you to call the police, and if you won’t call them, may I use your phone to call them?”
He told one of the employees to let me use his phone. The woman dialed the police station’s number, “non emergency " keep that in mind. I waited for almost two hours for the police and no one came. I called the police 3 times and the last call, they informed me if I wasn’t being attacked right now, then I should just go home and wait for the police because they are too busy right now. Please also keep in mind that all the Walmart employees were just laughing at the situation saying, “Look, there’s a black girl and a Mexican fighting over the toilet.” They were just laughing hysterically as I felt my life and children’s life was in danger and no one had the common courtesy to help citizen arrest these people, or to help me by calling the police. So here I am at home waiting for the police and the deputy had just called me and said he’s too busy right now, maybe he could handle it by tomorrow or the next day. So what am I to do if no one, and I mean no one, is willing to help me?

I looked for support and found a person. He called for someone. No one came. I tried a different person. No one came so I got another different person. He helped; I asked for Neons. He gave me 2 Neons that were dying and one that was not even a Neon, so I took them home and they died when I got inside (I rode my bike with the fish 3 miles from home; they live for months in my tank from our local fish store). Walmart tanks are using one filter so that's always bad for Cichlids (in tropical tanks) goldfish and tropical fish. They had Plecos in very clean tanks and the very dirty tanks were just fish suffering. There were lots of dead fish eaten and dying, not to mention all going through the same filter. Bettas are in these tanks there either dead or trying to kill the other fish. I'm about ready to work there for free and clean the tanks and give the fishes second chances. I am very unhappy about the aquarium departments of Walmart. Two separate stores always have diseased fish or at times are unkempt. In particular, is the selling of a very special fish called a green spotted puffer. They are far too small as babies and sensitive to sell - it's extremely difficult to keep because they need to be kept by species only. They require a special diet of snails and blood worms. Most of the little babies I have seen suffer terribly in both your stores, barely hanging on most with Ick and other parasites. These are extremely intelligent little fish. I honestly would say these Walmarts might sell 5 out of an entire tank of 20 plus. I rescued one that would have died a horrible slow death. Most associates know nothing about what to tell customers about these fish either. Having all the tanks on one filter system is horrible for all the fish - tap water should never be used either. With the Betta fish, sometimes many are dead or have 1/2 inch of water (polluted) to live in. Please do something. I don't feel the customers should see this kind of abuse.

I unplugged it, plugged in again, put in more water, mashed the button to begin and it did exactly the same thing. So I guess tomorrow, I'll return to Walmart with my receipt and let them have this defective coffeemaker to do with as they choose. Also, it is not just Walmart that gives people a hard time when returning things. I have never (knock on wood) had a hard time returning anything at Walmart because I use common sense when buying and returning things. Never, and I mean never, buy any expensive electronics at Walmart. Go to Best Buy or any other electronics store and always save your receipt. You never know when you might need it. The PN-40 was not functional, scratched up and re-packaged and sold as new... very illegal. I contacted Walmart which was extremely difficult as there was no phone number anywhere to be found! I had to find a phone by googling Walmart customer service number. I went 15 rounds with them. Strangely enough, the customer support person knew exactly what had happened to me, the first red flag. It seems that it happens very often to a lot of people. They made it possible to send it back by sending me a prepaid mail label back to Walmart (nice). They refunded the one day shipping charge, reordered another GPS to me but sent it ground!
And here is the biggest reason why I will never order from Walmart.com. Walmart.com is only a portal. The product and items you purchase from them is not owned by Walmart which is the name and company that I have relied on buying from, but from a third party fulfillment, God knows who. Because of this disconnect, Walmart.com cannot assure me that the next GPS they will send me will not be used or previously open. Oh, one other bit of info, the warehouse people who shipped this used GPS forgot to remove the sales order from the first person who purchased the GPS I got today. Buyer beware.

I've always had great experience with our Wal-Mart pet department. I've bought several betas there and they've all lived happy and healthy lives (some for years!). I was very sad to see our local Wal-Mart remove their fish recently. Owning a fish was a very inexpensive pet and there was always plenty of selection. I never saw dead fish floating in their tanks and the greeters always carried the fish over or around the exit sensors for me. I may not like the way the store can drive out smaller business, but as far as the store management being concerned about the quality of their merchandise, it's always been top notch in Montgomery, Texas.

The electric scooters for the handicapped! You need to go take a look at them and ride one. They jerk and buck. There are in disgusting condition. Large hunks of foam showing and the plastic covering them loose and sharp. I have an injured leg and the scooter bucked and jerked so bad it hurt me and I had to leave the store. They are like that in every store. If you ask to get another one, ha, all alike. Now, a big wealthy company like Wal-Mart could surely get new ones. You are not allowed to take them outside so who is going to steal them? All the Wal-Marts are like that. Because of that scooter problem, I am changing my purchasing habits to Target. Better service, better equipment. As to the amount of complaints Wal-Mart receives, one would think they need to clean up their act. Past Wal-Mart shopper.

After ringing up my Walmart bill to CAD156 on Earth Day, I asked the cashier to "save the plastic bags" due to today being Earth Day and I wanted to contribute and be considerate to Mother Earth. I guess I was in a rush due to the fact that the previous patron's credit card was declined and the person took 10 minutes to resolve before me. I was kind, smiled and waited patiently. More to the point though, I loaded the cart, paid and proceeded immediately to leave the store, the cart filled with 30 items but without plastic bags. The "greeter," old (approx. 81 yrs) in his ways, asked me for my receipt. That was normal considering if you asked everyone and checked the cart like at my old Sam's Club, but it wasn't.
The Greeter did not ask the 3 patrons prior to me. In fact, the lady before me with CC issues defended me and told the greeter that she had seen me pay in cash (oh, he didn't ask her). Also in fact, while waiting for the absentee manager, the greeter asked a young white male for his receipt. The young man said, "** off," and proceed to walk out without any regard. I asked why he needed to see mine but didn't ask the 3 shoppers before me and after me. He's couldn't reply what he really felt but only said, "it's our policy to check." I had the receipt in my hand, but had felt that this was deeper. Well, I asked to see the manager to get the real answer. Why ask me, a young-looking black man (45 yrs old really), perhaps not looking corporate tonight and dressed down, probably looking more like a "guy who would steal products?"
The night manager wasn't any better, very unprofessional in his delivery, inexperienced with relations and perhaps lacking in diversity training, proceeded to defend his "greeter's prejudiced attitude." His official answer was that since I did not have plastic bags, I was stopped. Furthermore, he proceeded to give me his insight that shoplifter's steal from his store like I was a cut from the same cloth. There was nothing like, "It's random," or "Sorry, you had a bad experience," and perhaps "How can I make your shopping a better experience, we apologize if you felt targeted or prejudged" (no one has to say racism at this time?). In fact, when I asked him for his name, he adamantly reached in his pocket and slammed down his name tag on the counter like it was a card game!
I was shocked, somewhat feared that a yelling match was going to come at me. I accused the employee and the manager of prejudging and perhaps racism. He laughed, gave me his word that his employee is an 81-yr-old Filipino who is the nicest guy (yeah, if I were your manager, I probably will be also ... or I wouldn't have a job). To add further insult, a young black lady who is a Walmart employee at the Customer Service desk started to tell me off, defending her manager, telling me that I'm a disgrace to the black race by making an ** of myself. Perhaps she got pissed off that I told her racism and prejudice comes in different forms. She yelled to her manager to "get this person removed from the store," and even remarked that because of my hair, I wasn't Black enough! I was so surprised, this coming from a store/ representative from Walmart! Thank God, I still haven't received my refund yet. In my professional career of 27 yrs, I have never experienced this horrific customer service in person, playground insults, lack of respect, humiliation at "Customer Service Desk."
I may have been a victim of other's barrage of insults. Never again will I shop at this Walmart! They have a horrible, inexperienced duty manager, juvenile clerk with no respect. This should have been videotaped! I would have loved to put it on YouTube but I can post on Facebook my bad experience.

One night, my husband and I went to Walmart to get fish for our 200-gallon fish tank. We started out with a Koi fish and a Plecostomus. They both lived okay. Two weeks later, I bought 2 angel fish and 6 gold fish. They're okay. Still two more weeks later, I bought two more Koi fish and 8 Glofish. It has been at least two months now and my fishes are doing wonderful! The manager was very curious and friendly, told us an exceptional amount of information about the fishes and said if we have any die they would have no problems replacing any fish that die. They are all healthy and there were no dead floating fishes. So to all who have complaints, I feel for you but I will recommend Walmart in Ottumwa, Iowa.

I now noticed that they have cut the quantity down to 45 per box, and the price has gone up about 28 cents also. Thank you Wal-Mart for cheating the consumers and still increasing the price. I think I will start shopping at Target from now on. They have better products anyway. The prices have become pretty competitive also. Consumers beware. Check the size of canned goods also. They are slowly making the cans smaller, coffee, sugar, flour. Items such as these are being reduced, and the price is being increased.

I then told her I wouldn't tolerate this and decided to wait by my car. No other employees or security guards stepped in as they only watched her get out of hand. She got physical with me. She then grabbed my car door and swung it numerous times outward. As I waited for HPD in the parking lot, I told her she is embarrassing me and this won't be good for her job or legal matters. She verbally told me (in a lower voice) to bang her! So I met HPD on the other side of the parking lot and they said to pursue a civil matter. I don't know where to start, but I know the way I was treated, harassed and violated was wrong.

I shop at Walmart for 95% of everything, or at least I did. That included groceries, cleaning supplies, paper products, toys, baby products, clothes, shoes, crafts, electronics, photos ... Well, you get the idea. Oh, did I mention I am a mother of five young boys so the amounts of shopping were large as I have a family of seven. Anyway, I have been treated rudely several times at our Walmart but continued to shop there anyway, because there are a few nice employees there and it was just easier, but no more.
I was treated poorly not only by cashiers but even by managers and department heads. The last straw was at about 9 p.m. on a Friday night. I got to the check out and was unloading my very full cart when I realized that I forgot almond bark. Since they were not busy, so much that the employees were just standing around chatting, and I had a 2-year-old and one-year-old in my cart, I asked the cashier if someone would be able to help me by bringing up some almond bark while I unloaded the cart. She gave me a dirty look, stood there for a moment, and then yelled at a lady behind her, who I think was the one in charge at night, and said, "This lady wants you to get her some almond bark."
The lady in charge replied, "Well, what kind,? There is more than one kind, ya know!" Keep in mind I was standing right there. So the cashier turned to me and said, "What kind?" I said, "Just the generic almond bark is fine." So she yelled back, "generic!" And the lady replied, "Well, how much? What size?!" She was looking very unhappy by this time because, I guess, I (the customer) was interrupting her visiting time with a fellow employee. So the cashier rudely said, "There are lots of sizes, she doesn't know what you want." I said, "Just forget it, I will go myself." So she yelled, "Forget it," and the lady and her friend just walked off.
So, I ran with a double cart with two kids in tow to grab the one size of generic almond bark and, when I returned, the cashier was just standing there waiting for me. She didn't ring anything up while I was gone. In fact, she didn't move until I unloaded all the sacks off her turn table. She didn't put one sack in my cart. I may as well go to Aldie; at least the employees are nice. I felt hurt because we work hard for our money and I am in that store at least five times a week and to be treated like that is so disappointing.
So, I quit shopping there. I shop at Hy-Vee and Fareway and other places. I even went back one last time a couple of weeks later and was treated rudely again, so I quit! Your employees truly do not care about the customers and, apparently, neither does your company as a whole or it would be instilled in them. This is a huge let down, to go into a store and be treated poorly almost every single time you shop there, not to mention your prices are not the best either. And even if they were, I'd rather pay more and be treated pleasantly and be helped by people who know about the department they work in, which is a whole new complaint, but I don't have time to even go there or to tell you about all the other times I was treated like total crap at Walmart!

Then the people behind you are upset and they will not allow you to get change in the checkout lanes. The service from the staff, especially in the electronic dept, do not have a clue about the products they carry. My daughter bought some nail polish and after allowing it to dry for 2 hours, took a shower and the polish peeled off. She is 15 and autistic. This really upset her. I am crippled and unable to drive any longer so when we get a ride to Walmart, it is always a big deal. The employees do not care if you bring something back and have the attitude of whatever.
I do not know if it is because Sam Walton and his son have died and the ones in charge don't care anymore or if their employees have the problem with the don't care attitude. But when you ask about their new policies, they pass the buck about home office and tell you to contact them. When you do, they act like it's water rolling off a duck's back. I know that we are just 2 of the customers of Walmart, but if I get the runaround again on the 3 items that we will be taking back, it will be 2 customers that they will no longer have.

I purchased a Bouncy Mouse toy for my cat, Rambo, at Wal-Mart Liberty Hwy. Store in Anderson, SC, thinking I was doing a good thing that was going to make my kitty happy. Never did I think that the toy would kill him. On Saturday, April 11th, my cat seemed that something was wrong with him. He was not eating, and I had noticed vomit throughout our house. I took him to the veterinary hospital, and they told me that his kidneys were failing. They put him on a high dose of IV to see if they were truly failing or if he was dehydrated and to observe him.
By Monday, his kidney values had returned to normal. So the doctors decided that by the way he was acting (projectile vomiting), he had a blockage. They performed surgery on him and found that a piece of one of his toys was blocking his intestine. It was the fuzzy foot off of the Bouncy Mouse. In inspecting this toy closely, I found that the feet are just tack stitched, no glue or anything to make them secure. They pull off easily.
This kitty was my child. He helped me cope with my daughter moving away to college. He was only 11 months old. I got him when he was 3 days old and raised him from a bottle. His mom had been killed 3 days before he was found as he was brought to these people’s garage by their tomcat. I nursed him to health, saved his life, and did everything I could to make him happy. I never thought that I was buying him something that would kill him. I have written this company by email. I told them that I feel they should pay the vet bills and compensate me for the loss of my baby as I see this as no different from a human child being killed by a dangerous toy. I also told them that they should pull these toys before they kill someone else’s animal and that I plan to seek legal action if they don't do so. I have had no response.
Please see if you can help me. I do not plan to let this go until something is done because right is right and wrong is wrong. They just can't keep putting out toys that kill pets. The loss is almost more than I can bare. Thank you for your time. My kitty, Rambo, was killed by a defective cat toy. The damages are large vet bills and severe emotional trauma to me and my children.

Cedar City is a small town but we have seen Wal-Mart drive other business out by under pricing them, businesses such as K-Mart and JC Penney and many others. My anger is directed at them for the price of dog and cat food. I have a few animals and it's almost all I can do just to buy food for them. A lot of other people, who are on a limited income, have given up their animals; some have abandoned them on the highways way outside of town. I am one of these people over 65 and I live in the country. I've limited my trips to town because of the price of gas. But when you see Wal-Mart ripping off older people because they have the majority of pets and those people have to give them up, whether they are young or older, I really have a problem.
Recently, I have noticed a lot more people are shopping at a Smiths or Lins for groceries. Let me tell you how angry I am. When you see this store tell you it's the manufacturing fault, but you see that they have cut the weight of this animal food at 20lbs to 18lbs, and then raise the price of this food from 25 cents to 50 cents a week. When the price of fuel has dropped to half its price and they're making up their stock options on our backs when the economy is so bad. How dare they do this? I've seen Wal-Mart jack up the price at the scanner $1 and you have to fight tooth and nail to get the price on the shelf. I'm glad people are starting to catch on. I'm hoping more do. Wal-Mart is not your friend.

Then I passed by the bettas and saw a dead one. Its bowl was really brown like it had been there for a while. Obviously, Wal-Mart does not check up on their fish whatsoever. I saw the thermometer on the tanks and they were well over 80 degrees. Now, I am no fish expert but I know that those tanks were way too hot for them. So while I was looking at the dead betta, an employee walked right on by. He saw what I was looking at and yet did nothing.
The other bettas that were left looked in horrible condition and their water was so dirty and gross. So feeling sorry for the rest of the bettas, I bought the 6 that were left and brought them home. I even told the lady at the register the reason why I was buying them, and she said nothing! Nothing! She did nothing at all, not even caring! When I took them out of their water, I tell you the smell that came out of that bowl was so foul. It had obviously not been changed in a very long time! This has got to stop. There have been so many complaints about Wal-Marts and how they fail to keep the fish in good condition. Wal-Mart needs to not be able to have fish at all! They obviously do not care whatsoever what happens to them.

First of all, I work in one of those one-hour photo centers you are complaining about and I have to agree to some point. But I have a few complaints myself. The big sign above the counter says one hour, not whenever you wish. If you do your photos online to pick up in the stores, then make sure you crop the photos so that the heads aren't cut off. Also make sure to send them to the right store #. Once you hit Enter, they are as good as done. When you take a photo with your camera and you drop it off, believe me, we don't just stand back there cutting heads off. It is run through on auto, so what you took is exactly what you get, and I disagree with the ones that think they shouldn't have to pay for photos they take. Once you look through the view finder, aim and shoot. If you shoot something you didn't want, then you shouldn't have taken the shot.
And as far as the Kodak Picture Makers, it is a self-service. That means you do it yourself. If you can't read or hear, it's one thing, but if you are too impatient and just don't want to do it, that's your fault. For those who do need the help, I will stop what I'm doing to help you. But if you are just trying to get us to do them for you, we are running a 1-hour service and when we stand out there doing your photos, we are not getting our work done within the hour which means we usually take the heat from other customers, and we have to explain why their film wasn't done in one hour. Believe it or not, you are not the only one there getting photos. If you want to know the real secret on the KPM's, listen to the voice on the machines. They tell you exactly what we will tell you.
Okay, then finally, I'm so tired of people coming in to copy their photos and we can't sell them to you because they are copyrighted. It's the law; it's my job. I'm afraid of jail and I don't make that kind of money to pay a fine. That would be like me asking you if it was okay to take your 15-year-old to the bar for drinks... It's the law! You would want to take action, and that's what photographers will do as well. I think I covered most of my complaints.

I bought a new Toshiba laptop in late December at my local Walmart. Things were going fine until just recently, when the volume and internet started acting erratically. I went to Walmart on April 4, 2009 to return it, and after ages of waiting for the the greeter to check the item, we went to return it. The returns lady was quite snotty and acted as if we'd be able to take it back. She didn't even ask if I had a receipt, just took it back to some room - totally giving me false hope. Of course, no receipt and she snottily told us that we could call Toshiba. I had all the contents, but no receipt. It wasn't my fault that it didn't screw up within the first 15 days. They should really fix their return system or hire better employees. About 700 bucks down the drain. I had removed all my files before returning, so I also lost some photos that were stored in my laptop.

I brought my daughter (she is a little mentally challenged) in to get a refund on a $9 watch that she received for her birthday and they wouldn't do it. It's not like it was $50; it was $9! So they just lost a regular customer. They can give refunds on other stuff without a receipt that costs more than $9 but if it comes from jewelry, they refuse. I used to work there so I know how the refund policy works. But it is just stupid to refuse a refund so small.

To wait in line for half an hour or more to pay for items at this Wal-Mart is a common occurrence. In fact, it is more common to see only 1 or 2 cashiers and a line of customers waiting 10 deep. On March 30, 2009, I went to the Wal-Mart's Money Center to cash my tax refund check for $3 as they advertise. After waiting in line for over half an hour, I was told that they were unable to cash it for me. She could not tell me why. Maybe it was too large she said, but it was well under what the sign says in its very small print. She said, “Maybe it’s because you have never cashed here before.” That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. There’s not a whole lot of risk involved with a government refund check. Then I noticed that the gentleman who was behind me in line is getting the exact same answer from the second customer service person. I vent for a second and left.
I went to Wal-Mart's website when I got home and filled out one of their email contact forms. I don't suppose it will change anything, but I hope others will follow suit. (The whole, if everyone screams loud enough, thing.) Here's where it becomes amazing. I received an email yesterday from Wal-Mart. It was addressed to someone named Don who I do not know explaining that he needs to contact the local store to answer his price matching question as they could not do it for him at their office. Apparently, their main office doesn't know their price matching policy. The body of the email had Don's email address, so I forwarded it to him, explaining that Wal-Mart had responded to the wrong person with the wrong email. Good thing it didn’t have any personal information in that email, huh? I have filled out another email form on Wal-Mart's website and replied to the email they sent me that was intended for Don. I have yet to hear anything back regarding my complaint or their mistake. The incompetence within that organization is growing at an alarming rate.

I would like to address the issue from a Wal-Mart associate's point of view. I know that I cannot speak for every Wal-Mart, but I would like to point out my daily and weekly procedure in the pet department of the Wal-Mart in Madison, Indiana. On a daily basis, I clean the glass of each of the 25 tanks that I take care of. After that, I check for dead fish and try to figure out the reason of death before disposing of them. If the cause is something harmful to the other fish such as ick, I let my department manager know about the problem. I also make sure that all of the temperatures are in the correct area to maintain healthy conditions. Every Saturday, I clean each tank thoroughly with a sponge, suck out the necessary amount of water with a tank vac, and refill them immediately.
After all the tanks are clean, I replace the pre-filter and carbon filter every week as well as cleaning out the filtration area. This is a job that I choose to spend at least three hours on. In addition, I go online to learn about our fish so I can give the customer as much information for care as I can. I make sure to tell the customer to let their bag float in their tank at home for at least twenty minutes, but it is not a good idea to let the fish stay in the bag for over an hour. It is also best to scoop the fish from the bag into the tank. You do not want to pour water from the bag into your tank due to a mild sedative that is added to each bag of fish that leaves the store to prevent the fish from going into shock.
We also offer a 48-hour guarantee. You should ask your Wal-Mart about that. If your Wal-Mart associate that helped you did not inform you of any of this, all of that information is printed on the bag that your fish comes in. So for great customer service in the fish department, come to the Wal-Mart in Madison, Indiana. I would love to help!

I entered the Wal-Mart photo center at 7pm on Tuesday (31Mar 2009) to pick up the photos that I had previously ordered from the photo kiosk in the photo center area. The ticket I received from the kiosk indicated that I could pick up my prints at the 1-hour photo lab at the indicated time on the claim ticket, March 31 2009. First, there was no technician present in the photo lab. I went in search of someone to assist me, and upon notifying someone in the electronics department, they called for a photo lab associate 4 separate times before the technician arrived 15 minutes after the first associate call. When the technician did arrive, she looked over the entire photo lab numerous times in search of the photos, but could not find them. The technician proceeded to give a convoluted explanation as to why she was not responsible for not having my photos in hand.
Upon request, she begrudgingly called her supervisor Jerry. I waited for another 10 minutes for him to arrive. Then he proceeded to give me excuses as to why the Wal-Mart photo service was unable to produce the photos that I had come to pick up, and also that he and the Wal-Mart photo department were not responsible for fulfilling the photo claim tickets that instructed me to pick up the photos on the present date. Instead of offering to compensate for my time or make an effort to fulfill my order for the photos, Jerry has exhibited unprofessional tone and body language throughout the interaction, was resistant to meeting my needs, and hesitantly requested the assistance of the co-manager Angela. After another 20 minutes of negotiations, she agreed that my photos would be sent to my apartment within 2 days, and she would give me a $10 gift card for my time wasted in Wal-Mart.
I proceeded to follow Jerry to the front of the store where he was to render the $10 gift card, but did so with all hesitation, and through a great amount of boisterous interaction with other associates in and out of a behind-the-counter area in the customer service department. I waited there for another 10-15 minutes for Jerry to present the card. His tone, body language, and interactions with the other associates were unprofessional, drawn out, and made me uncomfortable. The most frustrating aspect of the entire situation was an overall lack in the willingness of the associate, Jerry, and his supervisor to comply with the terms indicated on my claim ticket, and their effort to meet my needs as a customer.

I took a survey for your store to win $1,000 gift card; only now I'm getting all this junk e-mail I don't want or need. So can you please take my e-mail address off your list? It is worth $1,000. The survey had nothing to do with anything about how I found my trip to Wal-Mart; instead, it was about other company. I will tell anyone who asks about the survey not to take it unless they want all that junk mail. Thank you.

I did go to Walmart to get my pictures copied from camera to a CD. Pictures came out bad qualities so the person at the department was going to redo them. I needed to wait for one hour, so I did go to the restroom to do my private stuff. When I was coming out of bathroom going out of Walmart, I've got approach from the back by two huge ** gentlemen. They had no type of uniform or any sign, not even a tag that they work at Walmart. One of these gentlemen were trying to grab me by my jacket, and after all wrongly blaming me for breaking stuff in the bathroom and stealing merchandise. When I asked for ID or something to actually prove they work there, they start laughing and telling each other that I need to learn how to speak English.
I felt humiliated by these people approaching me like this followed me to and from restroom area probably invading my privacy. Then when I refuse talking to them, they were threatening to call police on me which I said ok, let's wait. When police came, they had guts them and a manager to lie that I was bothering people asking for money. I said let them prove because I never do that so these people try to humiliate my dignity once again. Police would tell me not go back there again and actually said that they can't do anything about it, and put me in police car and drove me to my car like I'm a criminal. I would like to really investigate this and if it's possible press charges against Walmart improper behavior.

Friday 27th of Feb. About 5:20 p.m. I'm sitting on the bench next to the bathrooms. This couple came by asked if they can get some boxes for something. This assoc. with shoulder length dark brown hair and she wears glasses. This assoc. with a very bad haughty manner towards this couple that just wanted some boxes. Then this assoc. told me in very bad haughty manner, "You can't sit there. You sit on that bench." I said to her, "I have the right to sit here because I was waiting to for the bathrooms to be cleaned." She also said to me in very surly manner if I don't leave now she would send someone walk me out of the store.
She tells me that I better lose that haughty manner and I said to her, "You are the one with a haughty manner and you better lose that haughty manner not me. Because you work for customer not the other way." Also I said to her, "Maybe they need to transfer you to another place." Then after I was walking out of the store. She told me to, "leave the ** or I'll have someone throw you out on your **." I told her I wish would try because I will be back with the police to have you arrested for assault.

I've been coming to the new Walmart ever since it opened, and find the service not near as good as other local grocery stores. Hard to find an employee in their department. But most objectionable, in several months now, I've rarely been greeted by any of the greeters at the door, who usually are talking among themselves and seem to make it a policy of not greeting **. I know that's politically incorrect, but it's fact, and you might have some observer check it out several times; maybe even the manager. Meanwhile, I've taken my business to Food Lion down the road, where I got an enthusiastic friendly Welcome to Food Lion from the manager this afternoon.
