Every Walmart I've ever been to with a fish section has them living in horrific conditions. It turns my stomach seeing all the abuse. Last time I tried to rescue fish from there, the associate who cared for the fish was "off" for 2 days. I had to pull some lady from the holiday section to help me. There were dead fish in every tank, some more dead than living ones. They know nothing on how to care for fish and it's pretty sad.
I'm a 23 year old female and know 100x more about the fish they carry than any associate I've ever met. It's atrocious that an enormous company such as Walmart is allowed to sell animals they know nothing about. The Green Spotted Puffer Fish are by far the worst fish to sell. These beauties are only WILD CAUGHT, and are mostly loaded with parasites. The experience level to care for the Puffers are for advanced aquarists only. The average Walmart shopper has no idea what their care entails. Unless the owner is able to check salinity, deworm them, and have the means to anesthetize them for teeth clipping, they should not be sold!
I bought 3 from the store and I was unable to keep them alive longer than a month. I did further research. Juveniles need fresh water and the older they get they need saltier water. There is no indication that they have that requirement at the store. They also feed them goldfish flakes, which puffers do NOT eat. They either need freeze-dried invertebrates or live food. These poor creatures are stolen from their homes and given a death sentence. It makes me happy that I saw someone has a rescue for these wonderful fish. Walmart is causing possible extinction for this species, and it makes me sick!

I have had a terrible experience. I had placed an order to be picked up in store and it was supposed to be ready yesterday. It never arrived. My account indicated that it would be ready at 10 a.m. today. It never arrived. I called Customer Service and I was instructed to call the store that the order was supposed to come from. When I called the store they informed me that they will cancel the order because it was currently out of stock. They suggested to me that I call a different location. I called another location and they told me that they would set it aside for me but I would have to begin the process all over.
I called Customer Service again and asked if I could simply change the location of where to pick up my item since I had already paid for it. They told me, "No." I was told that I would have to wait to receive a credit on my account and I will have to do the process all over again. The problem is that the account I used is a secondary account that I was using for all of my holiday shopping. This item was the last item that I had to buy and I maxed out my credit card. I didn't want to use another account as this gift was going to be a surprise. Why not just use the same order # and let me pick up the item at a different location?? Why would you process my card if the item is not in stock?? Why not immediately issue me a credit seeing that this is not my fault??
I decided to shop online this year to eliminate the stress of shopping. This experience has ruined that for me. As "compensation" I was offered a coupon in the amount of $10 which I won't receive for another 24 hours which renders it useless for the purchase that I am currently trying to make. $10 is in no way a compensation for all of the aggravation that I had to go through. Not to mention, now I will not be able to make this purchase in time for Christmas. Almost every person that I spoke with in regards to this matter was useless or rude. A manager just kept saying, "Sorry, but this is our process." I think that the process is flawed!

On 12/9 I ordered from site Walmart.com a air heater for water $63.94. They decided to buy from limited goods. I've called the appropriate parties, FedEx said label made no product! Limited goods will now put a ticket in which will take 7 days to get an answer! Christmas is ruined. They did this to my mother and had no answers, just excuses and script written apologies. She's elderly. They took her money right out though. No product and money gone. Bunch of grinches.

I ordered 3 radio flyer ziggles as santa presents for my children on 11/30, ship to store. Received 2 of 3. 10 days later, 3rd one was listed as in transit from NY to CT, for 8 days. Emailed customer service, who told me they couldn't find the item. Next email from them said it was ready for pickup in store, and implied I shouldn't believe their online tracking system, because it was wrong.
Drove the 1/2 to the store to pick it up. Item wasn't there. Contacted customer service. They told me they could ship me one. I told them to do so, at their own expense, expedited, as the product was already 10 days overdue and it is now 3 days before Christmas. Rather than bothering to reply, they issued a refund for the item via email. Walmart is not accountable for its failures. They were willing to ship me one, after they screwed up, but apparently not at their expense -- but instead of saying that, they said the item was out of stock (which is funny, because I found 5 in a store in East Windsor). They couldn't get on the phone and have East Windsor ship me one? Absolute incompetence.

I purchased a 1/4 carat sterling silver wedding band set at the Bloomington, UT Walmart on Nov 19, 2015. It was sent out to be sized up to an 8 from the 7 that it was. We were told that we would get a phone call when the ring came in. We did NOT receive a phone call at all. After 4 weeks we went into the store to find out what was going on and no one knew anything about it. We spoke with Brett, an assistant manager, who left a message for the jewelry people. Two days later we get a phone call that the ring is in and is the correct size. My husband went in and got it and brought it home to me that night and it was the WRONG size.
We take it back to the store and inform them of this and they size it and tells us it's a size 7.5 at best. Justin, another assistant manager, tells us that he will talk to Brittany, the jewelry manager, and Scott, the store manager, on Monday and get back to us. After he spoke with them they tried to tell us that the ring is a size 8, when it's NOT, and that they sized it in the store and it showed as an 8 on their sizer. My husband wanted them to send it out to be re-sized to the correct size, since someone there screwed up, and that he wanted it half off because it was screwed up. Scott told him that "we can send it out to be re-sized and expedite it but I'm not willing to give it to you for half off," and tried to tell us that we told the person when we bought it over a month ago the wrong size, which we did NOT do, and that their ring sizer is incorrect on sizing.
We returned the ring set, cause this is a bunch of BS, and instead of giving us cash like we wanted, they put it back on our debit card because they didn't have enough in the jewelry drawer and that purchases over $200 have to be put on the card. So now we have NO money to spend on Christmas and I'm out the ring set because these people can't or won't do their jobs right.

Very upsetting for them to sell a product they didn't have in stock or enough of. I will never buy any electronic from Walmart again.

I am tired of WM arguing with me at checkout when I ask them to match prices as promised: "always," they say. They are also always out of stock on many of the items I need, and when I go to more than one WM to get everything on my list, it negates any savings because of the waste of time, pain, gas, mileage and dignity. So this week, after WM told me they would not accept a "one free" coupon sent to me by a company to replace a bag of rice that had bugs, an item I got at WM by the way...
I left behind the few groceries I had gathered, and walked out and went to Smith's right next door... And discovered that Smith's prices were as good, or better than WM, with no haggling at the checkout stand, with no one looking at me like I was dishonest, without security following me, and with clerks that knew their jobs. And on top of beating WM's total price, Smith's gives gas points on the receipt! The final total was as good as, or better than it would be at WM, and they were cleaner, friendlier.
And more importantly, Smith's had nine electric scooters charged and ready, WM usually has none available, they don't want to help retrieve one for me and I can't do it myself anymore, and nowhere to sit and wait for a scooter, and after long waits, I leave without any purchases. It is not that WM must have them: all the law requires is "reasonable accommodation," but they should really want to have scooters because otherwise, I (and you) can insist that they pull two employees off the floor to push you (or me) around in a manual wheelchair while the second person pushes a grocery cart, for as long as we require... Or you can insist they shop for you. The scooter is cheaper and more profitable for them, they just are ignorant of the ADA requirements or hope you don't know your rights.
You don't have to fight to get the competitive price at Smith's, Albertson's, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Farmers Market and so on because the lower price at these other groceries is already the real price. I am kicking myself for all the years I've spent scratching for bargains and fighting uphill to get WM to honor their promise to competitively price, thinking I was getting a deal when, in fact, I have at least broken even at these other stores this last week. I got tired of wasting time, gas, pain and dignity at WM. Find out for yourself. Keep written track of the prices on what you need.
Just at Smith's alone this week, they were cheaper by 50 cents than WM on Spectrum organic refined coconut oil; kale, ground turkey; Kroger peanut butter was two for 3.00, corn meal was cheaper, Philadelphia cream cheese was two for 3.00, non iodized salt was cheaper than WM or Sprouts, Smith's broccoli was .99 but at WM were 1.58, and Barilla pasta was 1.25 but was 1.38 at WM. Smith's had Roma tomatoes but WM had empty crates. It was Smiths' and Sprouts' already-lower shelf price, and I didn't have to argue with anyone for the best price. What a relief. Check it out and keep track, WM is bamboozling customers, they aren't cheaper, and they are hostile and suspicious when you ask them to keep their word and match prices.
When I complained, WM hung up on me. They are supposed to have the ads and sale prices themselves and not argue with you about proving anything. If they lose you, they are being penny-wise and pound-foolish. And compare your prescription prices too, because Federal law says you can go into Costco's pharmacy without being a member, and Costco pharmacy is always cheaper than WM's pharmacy because they are a warehouse. You can transfer prescriptions. WM is lying. I feel so stupid, I am supposed to be intelligent but I was ignorant. Lesson learned.

I spent 5 hrs on the phone with Customer Service and Tier 2 Corporate trying to get my niece's deceased US Marine daddy's memorable personal blanket, that I ordered Dec, 7, delivered on 12/15/15 BEFORE her sweet 16 party 12/19/15 so she could have her Daddy there with her. I waited on hold for 45 mins at a time to be lied to. Come to find out they "print" out Fedex labels and then tell the customer that it is Fedex's fault that the package is sitting at their facility which was LIE #1. Then when they realized I found that out, they said I received an email telling me that "THEY CANCELLED" my order because they knew it would be late which was LIE #2. So they asked if I wanted to cancel the order, I SAID NO. So I asked for a Manager, So I waited another 30 mins.
I was on the online chat getting lied to and on hold with Corporate for 30 mins. When they finally answered, they apologized and said they would take care of it. And with a sigh of relief, I gave my cell and was told she would call me right back after she talked to the "FULFILLMENT CENTER" who has had my order the whole time. I said "Thank you and I don't care what you have to do. That package needs to get there by tomorrow no matter what." She said she would take care of it, LIE #3.
That was at 11am this morning. I waited and waited then I decided to call them again. 35mins on hold later someone answers and I tell them the situation. And she says she can't hear me, LIE #4. So I requested to be transfer to the Tier 2 again. 31 hold minutes later, they answer and tell me the woman who said she would call me back left early for a doctor's appointment and she didn't put anything in the computer about me and that she EMAILED the shipment center and ONLY SHE can give me an answer in the next 24 hrs of WHEN my package WOULD FINALLY BE SHIPPED. And that there is no phone number at this "FULFILLMENT CENTER" so they can't call because it's Christmas and they are very busy there, LIE #5.
I asked for her boss. I spoke to the head manager who confirmed that Walmart, a BILLION dollar company, has NO WAY OF CONTACTING THEIR CONTRACTED OUT FULFILLMENT CENTER. They can only EMAIL THEM AND WAIT. And he politely told me that there is no way to get my niece her package by tomorrow. And then told me that the company needs to change this in the future and tried to again lie to me about Fedex probably having it. And THEY DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB and it's manually floating somewhere. LIE #6.
I have yet to get any answer of why a huge company like Walmart doesn't have a phone number to the place that handles millions of dollars of their merchandise. And other than an apology, why we as customers have to get screwed?? THANK YOU WALMART FOR BREAKING MY HEART and taking a beautiful sentimental gift of Her Deceased US MARINE father's memories. SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I purchased a men's 29" mountain bike for my 12-year-old son on October 7, 2015 in the Islandia, NY Walmart store. The bike was put together incorrectly. I did go back and they exchanged the bike for me. Well the 2nd bike, the front brake pads fell off. I went back again and exchanged. Well the 3rd bike, same thing - front brake pads fell off. Now I called to see if they had an in stock and was told they did not. I tried calling the Commack, NY store and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called Walmart.com. They informed me that the Commack did have 4 of this bike in stock so rather than driving there I figured I would call to verify. They did have them in stock. Well I called Commack and was once again put on hold.
Now while on hold I put the damaged bike in my truck, drove the 6.5 miles to the Commack store, took the bike out of my truck, got on the customer service line. Mind you I am still on hold with the store's customer service which now is 27 minutes. My son went to the bike department to come back and inform me they had NONE of this bike in stock. Now I'm really upset that I'm still on hold and no bikes are in stock. I spoke with the manager and he apologized and informed me that no stores in my surrounding area had it in stock. It was only available online. So I wanted to order it from the kiosk, which they do not have in that store. He refunded me my $177.06 (cash) and then went to the Islandia store just to check if maybe they had one. Well they did not but they did have a kiosk so the sales associate said she would help me with the order.
I did not feel comfortable using my credit card in the kiosk so the sales associate told me to purchase a gift card and use that so that's what I did. I took my $177.06 in cash and purchased a gift card for that amount to use in the kiosk. Well the kiosk went down in the middle of trying to make this purchase. now I would have to go home and purchase the bike online. So on November 28, 2015 I went online and made the purchase. The delivery date was for November 30, 2015. Well on November 30 I never received a text nor an email that my order was in and ready for pick up, so I called the Islandia store (which was the store I choose to have it delivered to). The sales associate who answer informed that my order was in but not ready for pick up. When I asked her what that meant she did not know and said she would put me through to someone who can help me. Well I was on hold for over a half hour.
I hung up and called the Walmart.com. The sales associate told me it was still on the delivery truck and not yet delivered and told me to check my Walmart online account. After hanging up with him I did check and the order status says the item was pickup. Well I never picked it up and I did not have an alternative pick up person. I called back Walmart.com and the associate say "Yes it was picked up at 3:39 pm" and that I should go to the store. Well I did I spent 3 and 1/2 hours there for them to check their security cameras and then they tell me it was a glitch in their system. The item was never delivered and never picked up. I had to reorder the bike on November 30, 2015. They told me that they would expedite my shipping. Well when I got home and checked, it said delivery would be December 14, 2015. I have called every day since November 30 to find out about my order.
Every time I call I am either put on hold for 45 minutes to over an hour and a half. They have told me different stories every time. For instance the bike is shipped, it is due to arrive shortly, my order was refunded to me or my order is still waiting to get shipped. Well on December 14 which was the delivery date I once again never received an email or a text that the order was in. I have called since then only for them to give me the same stories. Each sales associate gives you different stories. Now it's December 16, 2015 at 7:17 pm and I still do not have my order and once again on the phone with Walmart.com. The sales associate that I was just speaking to told me that my order is lost in transit. I am now on hold for 49 minutes so she can get a supervisor on the phone. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have been waiting to get my online order since November 18 and mind you my original purchase was October 7.
I have asked to cancel my order. They told me they cannot being it's too far along and I would have to wait till it came in and refuse the order. But kicker is I would not get my cash back. I would have to get a gift card. Well I do not want a gift card for 177 dollars. I do not need anything nor will I ever shop in a Walmart store or online ever again. I just want my cash back now. I do not even want the bike. Please contact me in this matter as soon as possible. I have all my receipts and all names, dates and times of the associates I have spoke to. Also I will provide a printout of my cell phone bill with every phone call including all the hours I have spent on the phone trying to find out where my order is. Oh yes by the way I'm still on hold waiting for a supervisor which is now 57 minutes.

I ordered some bean bag chairs on Cyber Monday with a delivery date of December 4. I waited and waited for them to be delivered but they never were. I emailed customer service and was told they had gotten hung up in processing and for me to cancel my original order and reorder them. Well, they were much more expensive to do that so I called customer service, after waiting 15 minutes to speak with someone, they told me they would have to cancel my order, charge my credit card the higher price and over $100.00 to get them shipped before Christmas but that they would adjust the cost back down to the Cyber Monday prices.
After 30 minutes of the representative putting me on hold to consult his supervisor I was disconnected. This whole thing has been a nightmare. Yesterday, my bank account was charged over $500.00 by Walmart and credited $500.00. I still have no idea what they were doing or why they couldn't just send me the chairs instead of the '48 hour cancelling the order, then reordering, then deducting it from my account and crediting back to my account. Long story short, I didn't get my Cyber Monday deal, instead, I got a nightmare.

It's a busy time of year. I get that patience is required. However, when just 3 primary cashiers are open to receive the bulk of people checking out with lots of merchandise, there is a huge demand to have more cashiers. The lines were so long at these check-outs that they were curving around and meeting each other. You would think that management would take notice and handle the situation... but not. I finally approached an employee and asked for a manager. Itza came out and even took a register herself. Great. Now the other issue is that this wasn't organized either, so ones who have waited less in line blow past those who have waited. Some other store cashiers simply state to those in line that they will take who's next. I hope this situation at Walmart can be better managed. Thank you.

We can get in trouble for saying anything negative about our store so in the interest of legality I'll be telling a narrative: "Jeff" works in the Deli at an Oklahoma Walmart (store number not given in the interest of worker privacy and safety from repercussions.) Anyways, "Jeff" shows up for work everyday, on time and even volunteers for shifts when the company needs him. His duties include standard noon to evening shift. Deli things like cleaning rotisserie and doing all the Deli dishes (Expected to be able to do 37 pots and pans in under an hour. So think about that for a minute, from a sanitary perspective), regardless of the slicing meat, cooking, making salads, sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, numerous fried foods, and pinwheel and trays.
He also has to manage to fit in time to stock, do Spark (a micro management system from corporate), cleaning as he goes, customer service, stocking freezers, breaking down freezer palettes and sorting them to go into fridge or freezer in Deli (which is also why areas are left dirty, because the work load isn't reasonable), and doing much more perfectly to the way he was taught. His co-worker "Alice", left her area unclean before going home and on top of that, night manager cleared it only to have it photographed the next morning by someone who has too much time on their hands if they have time to take pictures. They aren't doing what they are really paid for (if they want to take pictures they are in the wrong line of work).
Anyways, "Alice" left several areas within her responsibility dirty, and "Jeff" gets called in to be written up because apparently he is supposed to micro manage his co-workers (as if running the whole deli solo wasn't enough) as well and it is just wrong. He understands coaching to better the worker, but nowhere in his job description does it say he is liable for his co-worker's laziness. "Alice" is getting written up too, but she has expressed she doesn't care and won't care this time, so instead of firing Alice which is what they should have done a long time ago since she calls in about 45% of the time, they write up a model employee for not doing Alice's job. Now Jeff, which is the perfect attendance, never late worker, is thinking about transferring away from the understaffed job and requesting a shift where he is only expected to do HIS work, not everyone else's.
Jeff really wishes he could speak to his managers about the things he thinks about after the fact, but that's the Walmart way. I think managers HAVE to criticize workers, they have to have a minimum of so many write ups/coachings or else they are accused of not doing their job. It's just insane. He literally could not do a better job without being a superhuman. All his duties are 120% efficient. My question to the world is, what does Jeff do about this situation, that will only get worse as they seem to be harping only on him and no one else (jobs in his area are scarce)?

I need to know WHAT is going on with this and WHERE it is immediately.

I am an employee at Wal-mart. I have recently been called into the Ad office due to the computer says that I have 7 absences. I have been working for Wal-mart for 6 months as of Nov. 25th 2015. My brother an immediate family member was in a horrible motorcycle wreck and I had to leave work early. That day was counted as an absence. As of Nov 25th 2015 a day should have fallen off at least that's what I've been told. Every 6 months a day falls off. Technically, I've been out 6 and 1 day should fall off. But now my job is on the line. I'm a mother of 4. Tomorrow is never promised. I have other complaints as well about how associates are being treated by management. This is just the beginning.

On 11/25/15, I placed an order for four tires. Literally ten minutes later I requested cancellation of said order because I realized they were the wrong size. I called customer service right then to ask about how the cancellation request works. I was told it would take 24 hours to process the request and I should get an email saying if the request went through or if my items were being shipped. I was also told that my card would not be charged until the items shipped. I called back ten minutes after this after I realized that my card had in fact been charged over $200. I was told from a different rep that there was nothing to do about it because it was a hold on my bank account as a "promise to pay" for the items that I wanted to cancel anyway!
So I call back on Saturday 11/28/15, after receiving no email whatsoever about anything going on. This rep decided to put a remedy ticket in for me since we had no idea what was going on with the order or my money. Was told that I would get an email with more info on the remedy ticket. Called back Sunday 11/29/15, after STILL RECEIVING NO EMAILS FROM WALMART ABOUT ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN. Was told that the girl who gave me the remedy ticket should have told me it takes 48 hours to get an email. I say, "ok I will wait some more." Called back Wednesday 12/2/15, STILL NO EMAILS FROM WALMART. It has now been a week with absolutely no contact. Was told by another rep that the remedy ticket department is backed up because of the holidays and someone will contact me once they get my ticket which is inevitable because they follow the order that the tickets come in.
Checked my bank account balance on 12/4/15, and the $200 charge was gone so I figured everything had been taken care of and the order had been cancelled. STILL NO EMAIL FROM WALMART. Apparently this was my mistake in thinking everything was ok. So I ordered four new tires in the right size.Fast forward to 12/8/15, my bank account has been charged the $200 again for the tires I tried to cancel and over $200 for the new tires I ordered.
My bank account balance is negative from the incompetence of the Walmart associates I dealt with and the company itself with the policies it apparently does not have in place. I call customer service (12/8/15) and am told there is nothing I can do because both sets of tires have been shipped. I have to wait for them to arrive at my store and I can't even start a return until the money clears out of my account. Then I will have to wait for the money to go back into my account, which at this rate will probably never happen.
They had over a week to cancel my order. It really should not be this hard. I tried to cancel it ten minutes after I placed the order! And along the whole way was led to believe that I was following all the steps to ensure my order would be cancelled. I don't have money just sitting around. I am living paycheck to paycheck right now and now my bank account is negative. I am extremely dissatisfied with Walmart's customer service and will never be shopping there again. Oh yeah, plus I STILL HAVE NO EMAILS FROM WALMART. Not even a notification of shipping. What a joke.

I saw some people came in after me check out their item and left. I ask the other associate, "Where is my order?" She said she don't. She told me to wait for the lady took my order. So I keep waiting. Finally I saw that lady came out of that room. She found my order, but she did not call me for check out. She just stand there. I ask her to check me out. I told her I was there waited for long time and she told me she only found one item. The other one was not ready. I said "that's fine, just check out for this one". She gave me the receipt and I left.
Today I went in there, pick up the 2rd item. I got there around 6:30 PM. Same thing, they took my order number and I wait there till 7:30 PM. I saw the other people came after me was got check outed. I was upset. That lady said "your order is here". I saw the guy bring that box out there while ago, but she did not check out for me. I think they did it on purpose for some reason. I have to wait there an hour and half for me to pick up one item. I am very disappointed of the Walmart service.

Right now it is 12/6/15 and still no gift card delivery. I contacted WalMart customer care by email and phone multiple times. They just kept saying to wait. I know that his people do that, but suppose someone does and for nothing, it becomes very inconvenient and unpleasant. This person is already known for these attitudes and the manager does not appear to resolve the matter. I called the customer service team and they stated their apologies due to the holidays, and asked me to check the next day and again upon checking, no item. So at that point I called again. The first person I talked to offered an adjustment for my disappointment, which I accepted and she asked me to check again the next day. So, as I checked my email yesterday, it stated my item had been returned, even though I am still being charged.
I called customer service and I was placed on hold for over an hour at which point the associate came back over the phone and stated, "Sir, I will not forward you to a supervisor when you ask. I will just leave you on hold to cool down and then attempt to locate your 'lost' item, but I will not forward you to a supervisor because I am more than qualified to handle your issue. If that's a problem, you can go to a store and try to have your issue resolved," at which point I emailed customer service.
They have the nerve to tell me to BUY THE ITEM AGAIN and they will offer free expedited shipping. HELL NO, why would I do that? You can't get it right the first time. So my problem started with a co manager after the market manager passed by & saw my area looking like **. I told her the place was mess but I was fixing it. After that, guess the market manager left them notes to follow up upon which is OK. So he approaches me with the notes, telling me what I already know. I start being specific about the fact that we had NO ASSOCIATES & my area was a total mess when I came in. *Please note that by the time he approached my area it was mostly clean.*
His reply to my concerns was: "Well what do you expect, this is Walmart." Which I replied: "Then don't overwhelm me, 'cause I'm gonna clock out & go home." Then he started about the fact that I was issuing a threat. All of this happening with customers present. He also stated that I was rejecting to work. After the confrontation was over, I did called WM Ethics & reported this douche bag. Now I'm mainly waiting for lots of coachings *retaliation* since it's very common for Walmart management to do that which to be honest, at this point, I'm not really caring since everyone who's been fired due to retaliation, has never come back. I've had family members, friends & even customers approach me asking me for my opinion in my experience with Walmart & all I can say is STAY AWAY!! I really enjoy going out to shop on "black Friday." I have done this for the past 12 years or so and generally have a good time. I have to say this year Walmart dropped the ball on their sale products, prices and their website. I think a two-year-old could design and develop a better website. They have an issue with their sorting ability and it has been an ongoing issue for over 5 years. I was an associate at the Walmart ISD in Bentonville, AR for nearly a decade. I reported this as an open door issue complete with screenshots, documentation, and feedback over 2 years ago and got the canned answer: "we are looking into it." Well guess what guys, it's still not fixed.
If Walmart's actions do not change they will eventually go the same way as Kmart. Poor Service + Poor policy + Poor Support = bankrupt. You have been warned now. It's just time to sit back and wait for it to happen. That is sad too, the company isn't all that bad. I would say it's a good average company to work for, but this action will erode your customers to the point they no longer wish to be your customer... Is that a chance you are willing to take?

Upon leaving I had to pick up some dinner only to discover that I had left my handbag and wallet in the shopping cart at Walmart. Panic sets in as I return to the store, only to be rear ended on the way there. Great news - no damage to my car or the other driver's! Arriving at Walmart, Norman the greeter mentioned that I should slow down. Being self absorbed I carried on only to hear him call me by name - (how did he know my name), then he kindly informed me that some kind customer had handed my handbag and contents to him which they found in the parking lot!
Norman in turn handed it in to customer service, both ladies were wonderful and saw how anxious I was, I tried to repay Norman for his kindness only to be informed that they do not accept gratuities as per company policies. I called the next morning and informed the store manager (a lady) of all that had occurred to me the evening before, and to say how thankful I was that their kindness and customer service at Walmart was exceptional and that they have certainly converted someone to being a Walmart shopper.
So often as a consumer we focus on the negativity as to what others say or write forgetting that those employees behind the counter are dealing with difficult and many times rude people during the day. 33 hours later, NO email. Called back. Told was cancelled but credit card not charged. 50 minutes of hold later, yes they did charge for item, but would take 3-5 days for refund. 6-10 days holding my money that would not have been returned had I not complained. Per customer service, they don't steal from their customers, apparently just "borrow" from their customers. They are also fine if I don't shop there. Always nice for a company to tell its customers that. A few more I's not shopping there could hurt their business, at least in the US.

I visited a Wal-Mart about 60 miles from my house and only 15-20 from my mother's. I was on my way to my mother-n-law's when I stopped in to buy a few items. I happened to go past the furniture area and noticed a mattress (Simmons Beauty) for $99.00. We are getting rid of the bunk bed for two twin beds. We needed a second twin mattress, so I thought the mattress at Wal-Mart would be perfect. I asked an employee nearby if she worked in that area. She said no but found me someone who could help me.
The gentleman retrieved the mattress from the rack as it is high and I couldn't get it down. He took it to the layaway counter a few feet away from where we were. The girl started to check me out, but the mattress rang up $199.00. I told her that was wrong that the price was 99.00. I showed her where it was on the rack and the guy who got it down verified that it was indeed from the $99.00 spot. The cashier said ok but that a manager would have to override the price.
After the cashier radioed a manager, an assistant manager came out of the back and said, "I am not selling that mattress for $99.00. I am NOT taking a hundred dollar hit on it. I can give you some money off, but I am not selling it for $99.00." I said, "It said $99.00 on the rack where it was." The cashier girl said, "Someone must have gotten it down and put it back in the wrong spot." He said, "Someone probably put it in the wrong spot." I said, "Well, I can't help what someone else did. That is not my fault. All I know is that the price said $99." He sighed heavily and acted mad as he started punching buttons on the register. He rang it up for the price I saw and told the cashier she would have to take off the $199 price. I told him thank you and he stormed off without acknowledging me.
I tried to pay for the mattress after it was totaled out and it came up saying it was waiting on a CSM to override the sell. The girl cleared the message and tried it again. She said she would have to go talk to the manager. She went out and came back. I was going to pay a hundred cash and put $7 and change on my debit card so when she came back she stated that the manager told her to try the card first. We tried that and it would not work either. It was still saying that it was waiting on a CSM.
The cashier left for the second time with another employee to the back. They came back out with a Supervisor this time. The Supervisor stated that they could not sell me the mattress for $99. He said they could not override the register two times. He said they could give me some off the mattress, $50.00 he said, but not $100. I told him that I have experienced this before and never had any problem, even with getting $100 off. He said he couldn't do it. I asked for a store manager. He gave me the run around saying he was a manager over the front end of the store and layaway. I asked, "So you are the top dog? The manager?" He repeated his position and would not let me talk to a manager. I told him this was B.S. and that "the other Assistant Manager said he wasn't going to sell me the mattress, and he won't either."
I was so irritated with their refusal to sell me the mattress and the runaround that I finally left. There was no point in staying there any longer because they refused to honor their advertised price on that mattress. Every buyer had better watch the cash register at check out because you will be scammed out of your hard earned money with situations like mine.
Sam Walton would rollover in his grave if he knew the way Wal-Mart employees treat customers. When he founded Wal-Mart he was very conscious of his customers and wanted to provide quality products at a price consumers could afford. This is why he was so successful in his business. He actually cared about his customers. Now Wal-Mart is so concerned with their bottom line and providing huge salaries to the big-wig executives, they are willing to take money out of the hardworking consumer's pocket without batting an eye. In this case, the assistant manager even had the audacity to give me an attitude because he didn't do his job and make sure the merchandise was its proper spot or that the employees he is in charge of is doing their job and putting the merchandise in its proper spot.
I suspect that the employee in the furniture department was too lazy to take the mattress back to the back when there wasn't enough room in the rack where the mattress belonged, so he/she stuck it in a different spot since the price didn't seem to be what it said on the rack where the mattress was located. What customer is going to wrestle a mattress out of that rack and attempt to put it in a different spot. Isn't that against company policy for customers to handle big items like that in case an accident happens and the customer gets hurt, so they can't sue Wal-Mart? How can Wal-Mart get away with advertising one price and charging the customer another? This seems to be a regular occurrence these days and yet nothing is being done to stop them. Why is that?

I have been a trumpet player for a long time. Yamaha makes a practice mute called silent brass, and it's one of the best there is. Mine is several years old, and there was recently an upgrade released. I researched for price, and found Walmart to be the lowest price in the web. Great. I placed the order. The box arrived, and Lo and behold - Walmart picked packed and shipped an item called ChordBuddy, an item that sells for half the price and is geared toward teaching young children to play chords on the guitar. I called customer service. Through a barrage of inept customer service representatives who barely spoke English, I kept escalating my issue. Not only was the item incorrect, but there was an incorrect email address associated with my account which of course only served to complicate rectifying the situation.
After An hour on the phone, I managed to navigate and escalate the issue to the corporate office. The woman I dealt with, Natasha, gave me a pretty hard time and - I absolutely flipped my lid. I explained to Natasha I wasn't interested in a refund, all I wanted was my merchandise. I asked very heatedly and repeatedly to just ship my merchandise to the local store, which is a mile from my house, and I would stop off the incorrect item and pick up the replacement - simple, yes? That didn't happen. After completely blowing my cool, I hung up. Natasha called me back in about 20 minutes. She re-entered my order, and informed me that Walmart would pay for 50% of the replacement order, and credit the old order. She told me she would email me all of the details. Great. An hour later, no emails. So, I called. Again, this is low 3 hours of my time invested.
I spoke with another rep in the corporate call center. She held me in the line and sent me all of the emails, new order, tracking info, and the return label. Great. Finally. The rep also told me I could return the incorrect material by printing the label and bringing it in to the local store. Today, I went to the local store. The returns clerk gave serious attitude and said she couldn't help me. I told her off and told her 7.50/hour is too much money for her. I called fedex to arrange the pick up, but because it was a prepaid label, they would not schedule a pick up, they instead told me that inhale to bring the package to a local fedex facility, which I did. More time and more aggravation. The replacement box is supposed to arrive Monday. I'm hopeful that the product is right so I can put this behind me - never ever again. I had received a notification via email that the item is in-store as I had setup in-store notifications prior to this purchase. However, almost 24 hours after placing my order, the order was cancelled. Now I cannot get the same item for the same price. When I called customer support, everyone was EXTREMELY unhelpful. Why would the online store allow purchases of items if the availability changes after the order and the order cancels?
At this pace and with these problems, the Wal-mart online experience will NEVER catch up to Amazon's. Both the in-store inventory system and the online availability system needs major revamping if Wal-mart plans on ever gaining the customers that Amazon is driving away from their stores. I work for Walmart in Missouri on the overnight shift. The managers are ridiculous. One manager comes in drunk driving a forklift and almost hits associates while unloading the truck. The other just walks around and does nothing all evening. Today after I began my shift I was informed that I was being written up and pulled into the office. I was being written up for something that occurred off of the clock in our parking lot and conjunction to a police officer chasing a suspect from our property.
My main complaint with this situation is the fact that the situation happened while I was off the clock. I am NOT a salary employee I'm an hourly associate. In addition to that two steps of our violation policy has been skipped. The normal policy states that you should be given a verbal warning and then a first coaching. This evening I got my second coaching and again the other two steps were completely ignored. I argue the point that I was off the clock therefore I should not have to follow Wal-Mart policy and procedure. In addition to that no policy or procedure pertaining to the situation was explained to me upon hiring.
I was also told that if I refuse to sign my disciplinary action I would then be given a third coaching which would mean immediate termination. I do plan to go higher than the assistant manager on the overnight shift your acting store manager who was actually a co-manager first thing in the morning and at which time if I do not receive the correct information I will go further to our district manager, Market Manager and home office. I am not satisfied with the way that the shift is run. I am completely a disgruntled employee at this time.
I have asked several times to be taken off of the shift because I have young children. I am being told that I have to be here for at least six months in my position before I can be switched to another position or off of the shift. If after all of this going to separate management higher and higher up the ladder I am still not satisfied I will then contact an attorney. And I will not only to Walmart but I will also see the very person who wrote me up this evening and the two witnesses key holders who were in there during the witnessing of me signing or not signing my write up.

My family has been traveling from California and my boys are going to attend a football game here when it turned cold with freezing rain. Being as we were not prepared, I bought the three thermals. After buying and taking back to the hotel, I noticed that we had bought the wrong size. I went back to the store, which is 24 hour, around 11:30 pm to exchange. I was directed by an employee that the Customer Service Manager, a Chinese lady by the name of ** would be able to make the exchange. She then paged **. I told ** my problem and she said that she could not make the exchange as Customer Service was closed. I looked around and there were no hours posted. I then said all I needed to do was make an exchange for my kids for the game.
She told me to come back at 7 am. It felt like she did not want to be bothered by my exchange. ** eventually agreed to the exchange and I went back to get the larger size. On the display, it showed two prices, 11.96 for one level of protection and 9.96 for the lower level of protection. I had previously purchased the 11.96 pair, but the store was out of the larger size. However, I then found a pair priced at 9.96. When I talk to **, I told her what had happened and then let out a big "sigh" as if she did not care. ** then took my return and scanned, then took my cheaper pair priced at 9.96 and it rang up as 11.96. I told her that that was incorrect. The price is displayed as 9.96 as well as a big sign that showed the same price. Again, she did not care! I said, "come with me and I will show you." ** then read the product number from the display and they all had the same product number at 11.96, but the display and price break sign said 9.96.

I also manage a few people who are the front line for our company and I preach customer service. If I could give Walmart itself negative ratings, this one would be a minus-seventy. We ordered these jars ten days ago, & they were to be delivered to our store of choice three days later for in-store pick-up, as they were not available for purchase in the physical stores in our area. The jars were for packaging food for a women's shelter for Thanksgiving. Today is the 27th, and still no jars, no word or communication as to where they are and no apology. Walmart made sure we were charged for them, though - on the 20th.
Thirty minutes of phone calls and getting routed back to the Walmart.com main recording WITHOUT EVER SPEAKING TO A HUMAN - and getting a recorded message claiming that there is no order associated with the phone number we used when placing it, and that is ON THE ORDER CONFIRMATION, I called Corporate and spoke with someone who must be the dimmest human to ever answer a phone. She routed me to no less than four incorrect and unhelpful people before the fifth, though not someone who could track down or cancel my order, did try to help. Four hours of phone calls later, a Walmart.com CSR told me the order was lost in shipping and "put in a request" to cancel the order, as it was now three days before Thanksgiving and new jars had to be purchased at the local ACE Hardware and Southern States.
Two days later, the order was still not cancelled, nor was the amount refunded to the bank account from which it was drafted. After yet another ridiculous experience trying to get a human on the phone at 1-800-WALMART, a CSR told us orders through Walmart.com cannot be cancelled over the phone or online; a store visit is necessary. Thus, at 7:30 AM on Thanksgiving Day, we were in a Walmart being "helped" by a staff member who was surly, slow and unhelpful, two "front end managers" who could not authorize the return because they lacked authority, and finally a store manager named Quinton who ignored us when we spoke to him, never spoke a word to the associate or us, ROLLED HIS EYES when the associate said she needed his override, never apologized for this massive and stupid inconvenience and could not have been less pleasant or helpful.
All this, regardless of the fact that my colleague and I were pleasant, calm and friendly during this entire transaction (though it became increasingly difficult to be so). We were then told it would be another five business days before the bank account will be credited. That comes to a grand total of FIFTEEN DAYS. Walmart has our money without providing a product. This is without a doubt the worst retail experience I have had in four decades of shopping, and will go back to my previous policy of avoiding Walmart like the plague. If my colleague had not placed this order, I would have never shopped with Walmart in the first place.

What a worst experience I got from Walmart!! Today my family wasted whole Black Friday shopping on Walmart. I wanted to buy new phone to my son. Walmart had 1 page advertisement for iPhone deal with AT&T. I checked web. I knew Target and Best Buy has same deal. But I choose Walmart and it was biggest mistake that I made, and it ruined my day.
I went there 5 p.m. because deal start 6 p.m. I was first one of line and I made a appointment for iPhone 6s. I waited until 9 p.m. because it is first schedule for activation. During the activation, they realized the iPhone was not for AT&T. There were no iPhone 6s from the beginning. They only had iPhone 6 and they advertised like they have all of iPhone models even they mention for all models included iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus. It is total deceiving of customers!!! If we know they doesn't have iPhone 6s, we would not go there and waited.
In my case, they even confused with phone. Because of it we waited for that deals...4 hours. The person who did activation for us call manager. The manager offered $100 store card. We want to talk him. He doesn't show up for more than 15 mins. The other manager, Tim **, came and said, "What?!!!" They just sell what they get, not even matter whatever advertisement said. He is not even sorry to us and he said he could not offer $100 because we complain at him. He said, "You know how many people wait and go empty-handed because we doesn't have stocks? Go home. I will contact AT&T and let you know when we can get a phone"...without any apology. That's it... He just so mad I record when he talks. How CAN I NOT RECORD THIS KIND OF EXPERIENCE? It's shocking experience. WHAT COMPANY treats customer like this? We left a store (Walmart at Wheeling, IL) at 10:00 p.m.
Later my husband go Best Buy for my son's iPhone 6s. He tell me Best Buy has all of iPhone models. (He doesn't bring my son's old iPhone.) They go to Target and Target has all of iPhone models. What are different from Walmart. Same advertisement!!! Who deceiving customers with it!!! Walmart!!! Shame on you!!!

My son and I have worked at Wal-Mart since 2013. Even though we have worked more than 100% effort level and have showed up for work when others didn't, we have been ridiculed, harassed and debased by all members of management. We told the management we had strep throat and we're told to come to work anyway or we would be threatened with coaching at one time and we did show up to work. We have had ice storms and showed up for work and worked on a skeleton crew taking on the load of others who were absent. Even with all our loyalty and dedication we continue to be berated and humiliated.
My son went to the restroom and ** an associate manager told him he'd have to get permission to go to the bathroom and she would be watching him. When we have to go to the back to empty trash or take overstock back we are paged on the intercom system so the entire store can hear. The page would name us and say "go back to your area", admonishing us for doing our job with the entire public to witness. When a reprimand is given it is in harsh tones and it is as if you can never do anything right no matter how hard you try. Even with all the stress the mistreatment provides, we still stick it out hoping it will be better and realize quitting is a difficult choice due to job choices in our area and available jobs. I have looked for jobs and it is very difficult to find one.
Today we clocked in on time. The time clock is at the front of the store but we are supposed to put our coats in the breakroom which is in back of the store. We walked to the back of the store, hung up our coats and went to get our equipment. Then went back to the front of the store to perform our usual shelf availability chore when this ** associate manager person confronted in front of customers and associates and yelling at us "Where have you been?" I explained where we had been which was the way we had been doing for over 2 1/2 years as explained in orientation where we clock in and then get our equipment. And in front of the customers and other associates she said "You are time thiefs!!! You should have clocked in after getting the equipment and putting up your coats."
This ** acted like a thug ready to fist fight and her eyes were ablaze and her posture was very threatening. I thought she was on crack. She looked like an inmate. This type of behavior for a manager of a large, well known store is just so thug-like. She was so hostile I really thought I was going to have to physically defend myself. Her friend ** who is some sort of manager as well in the Wal-Mart grocery delivery service, showed up to act like she was going to double team me in a fight of some type. These women were some real crazies.
It makes me wonder if in order to be on the management team you have to be wild eyed crazy and love to bully employees that have been hired in a two way contract. This is a two way contract. We provide labor and they provide pay. We have honored our end, but they do not own our souls and it does not give them the right to mentally manipulate us and to break us down. But, they do this as I have spoken to numerous people who has experienced their callous regard for the people who are there to provide labor. What I have witnessed at this store # 4615 in Glenpool, OK, my son and I are not the only ones they mistreat. I have seen some very hard workers who sometimes don't even have money to eat lunch, yet due to the fear of not finding another job and just wanting to remain at a company for a long time, continue to be abused much like a battered wife who wonders if leaving her abusive husband is not a better option or worse.

I started working for Walmart Canada in Kamloops, BC the 2nd of July 2015. All started out well, except the first week I was threatened with losing my job if I couldn't get along with everyone. Being a new face I laid low and learned my position. I was positioned in directs in receiving. I had previous receiving experience so I just needed to learn the Walmart way. The first few weeks went well. I got along great. The fellow who trained me did a great job but on his days off I was trained by three other associates that had their own way of doing the job. Each one made it quite clear that the others that were training me didn't know what they were doing. So it got very confusing. I was learning so many different ways that I wasn't very sociable, which open the door to one of the department managers to tell me I was a stuck up **. I thought this was not call for but tried hard to be more sociable to alleviate this black mark on me.
I did complain to my manager but it was disregarded. After the first month I got real good and fast at receiving product and accomplishing my job. Our position was classified as part time yet I was working more than full time hours but I did not mind, until I was advised I would not receive any benefits. An ad came up for a full time worker in my position. Up til now we were doing the job of three associates yet there were only the two of us. Sometimes I would be left on my own because the other guy I worked with was trained to do other positions but I was ok with this because it wasn't all the time. I asked if I could go full time in order to get benefits but was never allowed to do this even though I went thru application process online.
In August 2015, the other fellow I worked with went on vacation. I asked for help but only got help at the end of my shift. Those that came to help made it real hard for me because again they had their own way of doing the job. Even the invoice lady would come help so as to make her job easier but overall I was on my own doing the job of three people. They seem to make me feel bad when I asked for help so I stopped asking. My coworker was on a two week vacation which along with days off and stat days ended up being almost three weeks. I dealt with it, yes got behind, got caught up and dealt as best as I could with situation.
The second week my coworker was gone, the safety officer inspected. I reported a few safety concerns, one being the dock plate not working properly. Wouldn't go out on to trailers for unloading. A repair person came in and explain that air bag needed replaced but it was decided that it was too costly so a quick fix was all that was done. It still was very dangerous and a few times nearly fell on my feet or the feet of delivery drivers. I voiced my opinion onto deaf ears. Another employee was hired and even though I hadn't been at the job three months, I was expected to train him. He had no concept of the job and I was unable to train him and do the receiving as well. But I still did not get help.
The day I left my employment was only a few days before my coworker came back from holidays. A trailer came in that need unloaded by power jack which I hadn't been trained for. I asked for help from associates that were power jack licensed but was refused. I page for a duty manager and got no response. I paged constantly for over an hour. The truck driver kept harassing me to get trailer unloaded but my hands were tied. I couldn't even get dock plate up. I didn't know what to do so I called the managers office and abruptly ask to speak to a manager. The person who answered the phone lit into be and told me off and said to keep paging. Later I found out that this was our store manager. I hung up and kept paging, until an assist store manager came to my rescue but I had unfortunately used the last patience I had and walked out. I knew it was wrong to do but I didn't have the patience left to keep working.
On my exit interview sheet it said I would be allowed to be hired back but I have yet not gone back to work there. Even though I have applied many times. I apologized to everyone I affected that day but was told they would never hire me back. The position I was in is still vacant and I would like a second chance but I still don't work there. I felt unsafe and degraded that's why I left. But I still want to go back because I enjoyed the job and was good at it. I can't believe a store manager can speak so rudely and act so inconsiderate towards his employees. But had they not wanted me back why do I have an exit interview sheet that says I can be rehired. I'm not discouraged and will keep trying but this is my Walmart experience...

I have to say, for the most part, while Wal-mart can be overwhelming because there's so much in the store, I like the store itself but it is far from "cozy" and you definitely won't get "good service" while you are there! There is a FAR DIFFERENCE from walking into Wal-mart than there is from walking into your local grocery store or even Shop Rite for that matter. Well, I just wanted to warn EVERYONE to not buy meat/chicken or steak from Wal-mart because I have had bad experiences with the meat there.
I bought meat a few times and I thought I would give it "one last chance" but boy-oh-boy was I sorry that I did that. I believe that Wal-mart has some type of "contract" with PERDUE and they can only sell Perdue Chicken which is absolutely ridiculous. Also, I'm not sure if Wal-mart gets the "leftover" Perdue chicken but it's certainly not the freshest. I cook A LOT for my family so I know good chicken from bad chicken and Wal-mart's chicken is not good at all. I found it very fatty and even after I cut all the fat off and tried to cook it with some spices, it was disgusting! Again, Wal-mart has excellent prices on laundry detergent, cat food, dog food, cookies, etc. but stay away from the MEAT DEPT! Even the fruits at Wal-mart seem pretty decent but for some reason or another, Wal-mart does not put a great deal of "time and effort" into purchasing decent meat that a mom could cook!

She weighed them and charged me $1.38 a pound and the price came up to $4.32-plus tax!!! The rude cashier even charged tax on the onions. I didn't notice until I got home. I scanned the receipts. Instead of being thanked for purchasing items at the store, everyone is forced into a line in order to even leave the store. It feels a bit like being treated as a criminal. I have complained to the store manager and was told that they were forced to move to this to best serve loss prevention. This new procedure feels very invasive. I do not like being treated like a suspect when I attempt to leave the store with a 12-pack of Coke in my cart. What? Is this a military state? Why not throw some barbed-wire across the exit as well? When he went to install he said it was broken. I didn't have a receipt but did return it to the store. There was much discussion between the clerk and manager. I was told the serial number showed that it had been purchased a year ago. I agreed with that estimate. They told me that I needed a receipt for them to do anything about it. At that point I realized that I had purchased it online and had it delivered to the store so I told them this and said I could produce a receipt. They told me to bring the receipt in.
I retrieved the receipt from my online account and went back to the store the next day but they refused to let me exchange the defective product because the receipt had a return by date of 30 days after purchase. Each time the representative promised the item will be shipped soon or was already being shipped and asked me to wait. On Nov 3rd I got a email saying the item was cancelled, and it is still showing in stock online.
I contacted them again. The agent said it was cancelled because the item is not near me in Massachusetts. He confirmed it is in stock with free ship to store for all 48 states in US, but it is just not going to ship to my local store because the nearest fulfillment center doesn't have the item. Is Massachusetts not one of the 48 states in US? And why are they still giving the same shipping option to Massachusetts while they are not going to honor it? This is basically saying their advertised ship to store is a lie, and they can arbitrarily cancel customer's order for no good reason after letting the customer wait for a month.

I was told they have a new system whereas if you miss a certain amount of shifts your automatically terminated in the system. The management doesn't have to fire you. The time clock automatically rejects you. I've missed a few days of work weeks or a couple months apart but I'm not sure if I'd get terminated if I miss another random day.
The managers stand around the entire shift talking to other associates and slow them down but be upset when the freight isn't done. Then every truck night they expect me to continue being a superhero for the team which I'm ** tired. Anytime I've had a complaint I'd tell my store manager he'd handle it but because he isn't familiar with overnight he doesn't really help. Then my scheduled shifts are ** crazy. I told my manager I need back to back off days because a pattern isn't going to work. I work two days then off the next but work the next then off the next but because I'm overnight I basically work every single day. Which isn't fair because these managers work days consecutively and are off consecutively so they get their breaks and rest.
I've never had knee injuries at any retail store I've ever worked until this one. Then because of favoritism a employee that does no work whatsoever got promoted to csm because all the managers told her about it and then after she interviewed for the position and got it the managers want to tell me "oh I thought you knew it was open. I would have told you." Like really??!! I call **. Me and that employee hate each other but because they all flock to her lazy ways they told her. I really am starting to hate this store.

I've been working at this Wal-Mart for a little over 4 months now, and I really enjoyed the job up until recently. My fist coaching was when I was positioned on the deli wall, and it was over my productivity, and this all happened because I was taking a little more time to rotate the products, which almost no one ever does. My second coaching (and first write up) was on the condiments isle for the same thing, productivity. I was given three hours to finish an unrealistic amount of freight (2 pallets and 4 rocket carts).
My manager always has an attitude with me, while I am nothing but nice to her. She compared me to her slowest worker and threatened to fire me. I do my best every day I come in and all they do is make me feel useless. I really thought Wal-Mart had stepped their game up, but apparently not. Honestly, I was less stressed working in fast food and if things don't change I'll never associate myself with Wal-Mart again. Not as an employee, and not as a customer.

We do a lot of her grocery shopping at Walmart because living in the Midwest that seems to be the only option everywhere you look. I think that Walmart has picked quantity over quality. I bought my son shoes the other day. Not only do I feel like I got ripped off on the price because I could have probably gone elsewhere and got much better price but what's even more upsetting is that after the second time wearing them they started falling apart all over the place. It seems unreal to be charged that much money for a pair of shoes that can only be worn twice. I can go on and on and on about how many disappointments we had with Walmart but if you cannot make quality then quit pumping out a whole lot of garbage!!!

If they give some specific day for delivery they have to bring on time. This is happened to me three times from Walmart. They did not even care I was waiting for it. At our last visit to Walmart, we tried to price match a pound of ground beef. Walmart's Ad Match Guarantee says "we gladly match the price in the following types of ads: For meat items, when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb, each to each). There is no mention of packaging methods or butchers on site. We were refused the price match because there was no butcher on site at the Walmart store, but there was at the store we were trying to price match. Other refusals included Walmart's beef being in a roll, but the other store having a flat package, and vice versa.
Another attempted price match which was refused was for bananas, which were advertised in a local newspaper. Our closest Walmart accepted the match, but one that was farther away refused the match because the store was not within 5 miles of the store. Again, there's nothing in the Walmart Ad Match criteria about store distances. So we, like another person with recent complaints about price matching, will take our business to Fry's, the local Kroger owned stores or to WinCo.

I absolutely love my job at Walmart. I have a great crew, what's left of it. Ever since I took over the bakery in my store it has been a downward spiral. Lack of help, lack of following through with coaching for ones that couldn't and wouldn't show up as scheduled, or them saying they would come in, and management not entering them into the schedule so they would be held accountable for their promise to show up. I work in a service department. I have a cake decorator 4 days a week, this just doesn't cut it. Over the past month I have lost 4 associates. 2 full time, one is out on an LOA and had brain surgery. The other wasn't quite full time but she worked the freight at least 32 hours a week. Add those with the 2 part time cake decorators, and you can find me juggling 3 jobs a day every day of the week.
Here a few weeks ago, I was the only person in the department, juggling donuts, cake and baking. I was there for 13 hours and promised the overtime for it. After 10 hours into my shift, our salaried assistant manager had been helping but he took off 3 hours before I did. I had to cut that extra 5 hours that week because our store was not allotted overtime, which I was promised. A multi billion dollar company, I'm down 4 people, my salaried manager leaves before I do, and the next day I came in on my day OFF because we were short handed and was totally disrespected by an associate who only works 4 days a month, if that. And she wasn't approached for her lack of disrespect because she was grieving.
I have busted my ass, alongside of my baker who makes the department succeed. When is the time to recognize when you are short handed, that we need to be compensated for our extra efforts, paid the overtime we are promised. They want sales... but I'm almost to the point of saying... "So what... we don't have enough hands to tackle this today."

It takes twice as long because it is being delivered twice.
So my second order I upgraded the shipping to a paid shipping method instead of the free shipping, but they still shipped it FedEx Smartpost. So my delivery is still going to take 7 days. I called to complain, and they said they didn't know why it happened, but would refund my shipping cost. The shipper told me that it would be delivered to the first dry spot outside my home. I called and told them my problem and they said Walmart would have to give them written authorization to do this.
Walmart said that inside home delivery is only available for certain items that qualify for it. Does seem like a sofa would qualify. Especially since before I placed the order I was told by Walmart that they would bring it inside if you are elderly, handicapped, or pregnant. I'm elderly. I got coached by this assistant manager for supposedly being slow. I work the same pace as everyone else and others say she talks about me. My 3rd month into my 1st job I get coached unfairly. She always tells ONLY ME to hurry when others are slower than me. I find it harassing. She says it so much. She put me in n grocery for the first time. I didn't know how to down stack a pallet and she said I don't stock right because I don't put all boxes on floor in front of merchandise then stock it all, which I didn't know I had to do as all the other workers don't do that. On task manager it says how long it should take to stock assigned isles (mine usually says anywhere from 2 hrs to 45 mins). She would come up to me and say, "Hurry up. You were supposed to be done with all of this an hour ago” (and this is only 1hr into working while I have a lot to work that I possibly can't get done in an hour).
There was a big pallet full of sugar, oil, flour so heavy. I can't pick up for my life so I told support manager I was going to wait till 12 when the store closes to put the pallet in the Isle so customers won't trip and he agreed. When I was getting coached the assistant manager said I wasn't going to work the pallet so she worked it (when she coached me the store just closed, I've been working for 2 hours then) when I was working on baking waiting to do the pallet till 12. She worked it just so she can say I wasn't working.
And the support manager was sitting there while I was getting coached and he knew I was going to put the pallet in isle to work at 12 ‘cause I couldn't carry but he didn't "support me" and take up for what I said. He just shook his head saying I wasn't going to work it when I SAID I was going to. So now I got coached for being slow when I'm faster than average and I don't know what to do. ‘Cause the assistant manager thinks I'm prettier or something she doesn't like me and she's probably going to keep setting me up coaching till I'm fired.

Over half the times I've stopped into that store at dinner time, there are NO chickens to be had, none cooking in the rotisseries and several other customers standing around wondering why No chickens are available. At least a half dozen times I've called to speak to the store manager and several times corporate HQ and question "Are they or are they not in the business of providing hot prepared foods in their store deli?" Nothing seems to change, no chickens at dinner time!
The other morning I stopped to pick up a sandwich on my way to work from the deli at 7:00 am, sandwich case picked clean, not restocked overnight. Walked over to pick up a package of toilet paper to see a younger black store employee with his jeans and belt down below his buttocks exposing his boxer shorts. For two months I diligently spent many hours on the phone with Dell attempting to resolve the locking up issues the computer experienced. I estimate I spent at least 18 hours loading and unloading programs and speaking with representatives of Dell. Dell recommended I return the computer. From my previous experiences with Walmart, there is a 3-month return policy. I phoned Walmart.com and informed them of the dates of purchase and the fact I wanted to return it. They told me that was fine but I was to return it to the store. I also phoned the Brea store and was sent to the electronics dept where they told me it was ok to return it to them. I also told Brea of the dates. Today, I attempted to return it first to Brea Walmart who said it was past the return date. I showed them the packing slip and it did not state a return date.
My confirmation email that Walmart.com sent me also did not show a return date. Finally, I went into my Walmart account and in very tiny print it does say, "Eligible for return until Fri, Sep 4". I find this very unacceptable. Walmart unloaded last year's model, not for cheap mind you, and refused to return it in a reasonable period of time. Dell has the records of the times spent with them. That also does not count the hours on the phone with iTunes and Adobe, who also had difficulty downloading their programs to the computer. Walmart did not stand by their product. She went to the store with her Certificate of Naturalization. This is the official government form the government issues when you become a citizen. It has her pic and all vital info on it. It is what she used to get her driver's license replaced the Tuesday after Columbus Day. They refused to cash her payroll check with that ID. I called the 800 number and they told me the ID was acceptable. I even went in with her and showed them my ID and all sorts of other picture ID she had and they still refused to cash he check. I found out later that the manager and the 2 shift managers (the 3 highest ranking employees) were all off that weekend so nothing could done.
I had called before we went in to verify they would cash the check and someone who identified himself as manager said he would. Then when we got there nobody admitted to that phone call. We ended up taking the check to Kroger where they gladly cashed it with her ID only. The idiots at Walmart could have done it as there was multiple pieces of id that verified who my wife was. The funny thing is while she was there the first time the manager at the Eye Center called her over by name and told her the glasses she ordered were in. Even with an employee knowing her without ID wasn't enough for these fools.
The yesterday I go to buy 2 tires for my van for 91.50 ea. The manager upsold me to 106.50 tires because he said the tire's load index wouldn't handle my van's weight. Needing the tires I took them. Later when I returned to pay I noticed they had snuck 30.00 road hazard warranty on the bill. 10.00/tire (I had bought a 3rd tire for my wife's car and was going to put it on myself). I told her to remove that and she did. Then the more I thought about it the more it bugged me so I went to the Walmart website and typed in the make and model of my van and it listed all the tires I could buy. Guess what??? The 91.50 tires are acceptable for my van. It has a load index of 106. Other acceptable tires had load indexes as low as 104. I did some research and found out that my van can use tires with as low as a 104 load index. I've called the 800 number again... We'll see where this goes.

They will say when you take as I'm there to match prices, that they don't do it if it says with card. And all stores these days, you have their card to save money & points. Now I try to tell them I can understand if it's Kroger when they have their great deals when you buy 5 items & it takes more off, but they will argue that it's any card.
They really need to get with the managers & let them know exactly what they can do. But when they use to show their advertising, they never said "except certain things or cards." So because of that & the fact that every week they put off stock on serial items, we started going to Alstonan drive, & that's one reason why that store has lost a lot of people & business. Plus we can go to Kroger & shop, period. And sometimes we do now, just to get what we need. It save me time because I was always having to go to another store cause they don't stock items you want. They overstock same thing on shelves, they be all in floor, on crates every week - same thing. Same items still will not be on shelves, the items you need. It's like they don't want you to shop there, & they don't act that they give a care of you do. And some of the workers been there for a long time, so all the work try for them to start doing undercover boss.

WALMART, you are running your customers away! I am not going to shop at your stores to save a penny or two on a few items. Apparently, you still don't get the message! If your prices are the same or close to the same as other retailers, I don't even bother to go to your stores.
I have no idea what your business strategy is. However, you are losing dedicated shoppers who are fed up! You are not a value anymore. I will no longer be lured to your stores by an advertisement of certain items; only to find higher prices on just about everything else. Your customers are complaining but obviously you are not hearing! If you don't believe me, take a walk through one of your stores and talk to the customers! So disappointed!!!

Well it started off as a good day. My boyfriend who staying in Columbus, Ohio buy my dog a 50-pound bag of dog food online and had it sent to the Walmart in Green, Ohio. But this is where my good day goes bad. I got the email from Walmart telling me to come and pick up the dog food that he had sent. But when I got to the Walmart in Green as I walked in the store one of the store greeters was staring at me but I paid it no mind and walked up to the customer service to get the bag of dog food. And everything was going fine up until the greeter stop me from leaving the store and asked if he could see my receipt of my dog food.
I let him see it and then he tells me that it's two names on here and I didn't pay for it because it didn't have no price on it. I explain to him that my boyfriend from out of town just paid for the dog food online. I just had to pick it up but he didn't want to hear that. He got very rude with me and I tried to show him my ID but he was not going to look at it. I was so embarrassed because he made me feel like I did something wrong. Everyone was looking at me like I stole the 50-pound bag of dog food. I felt like I could go and hide in shame... Not at all happy with Walmart

My experience at the Litchfield, MN Walmart was awful yesterday. I was given incorrect information about the price match policy by the cashier manager. I had to put ¼ of my items back because I did not know the policy on having the ad in hand had changed. The cashier did not make sure all of my coupons were subtracted, despite me telling her. I told her I had a prepaid debit card for $25.00 & was told (after I swiped it) that it wasn’t valid. I insisted it was, the cashier swiped it again & again told me it was not valid.
Finally with the help of a cashier manager she determined it was valid & was a cashier error. I received no apology & I was not thanked for my purchase, but that’s not unusual – it’s the norm there. Only a handful of cashiers at that location ever say ‘thank you’ & even less acknowledge you in the store, or ask if you need help locating something. The cashier today also licked her fingers each time she opened a new bag, all while touching my groceries, including fresh produce! This is very unhygienic & even potentially dangerous to someone like myself with a compromised immune system. I have addressed this issue with store managers on three different occasions, to no avail.
Then I had to go to customer service to get the missed coupon values back in cash. I asked to speak to a store manager. I described my experience & he offered no apology. I was stunned. He did give me the value of the coupons that were missed & clarified the price match policy – a different explanation than the cashier manager had given me. Then he looked at me & said, “Is there anything else I can do for you?” Frankly, I was stunned. No apology for their mistakes, the rudeness I experienced or the hassle of it all. I was treated like I was a bother more than anything else.
I am currently suffering from a very painful health condition. Due to the mistakes & misinformation between the employees, I spent an extra 35 minutes in the store trying to get it all figured out. I was so frustrated & in pain that I started crying. My Personal Care Attendant was with me & she was shocked at how poorly I was treated. This reminds me of a time when we forgot to pay for 2-12 packs of soda on the bottom of our cart at this location. When we took it back into the store to pay, explaining we forgot it, we were spoken to in a frustrated, harried, rude tone. The clerk said they would have to open another register and sighed loudly in exasperation. We paid for the soda & were not even thanked for our purchase, much less our honesty.
I certainly don’t need to be thanked for my honesty, but to treat me like I am a bother because I was honest is just wrong. These are only 2 of the bad experiences I’ve had at this Walmart location. There are several more I could describe. I easily spend between $650 to $750 dollars a month at this location. I am considering NEVER going back. I am almost positive nothing will even come of this complaint, as Walmart does not seem to care about its customers.

I logged into walmart.com in order to purchase an outdoor carpet. It was Couristan Beachfront Sea Glass cobalt and azure indoor/outdoor area rug. Under the specifications, it gave the dimensions of 132 x 96 which is 11ft x 8ft. I ordered the item. When it arrived it was 2ft x 4ft. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Wayfair first. They informed me that they do manufacture this rug in these dimensions 11ft x 8 ft however, they insisted that they did send me the correct rug. Wayfair stated that Walmart had incorrect information on their website about the specifications and that this was not their problem. They stated that I needed to contact Walmart because they had their information loaded incorrectly in their website.
I then called walmart.com and spent an additional hour or so on the phone with Walmart who stated that they would get the website corrected. Ok fine, but WHAT ABOUT THE CUSTOMER? I spent my time online shopping for this item. I ordered this item in 8ft x 11ft. Why can't they send me what I ordered? I was told that the correct size was too expensive and corporate would not authorize them to ship me what I ordered. I did not actually get to speak with this so called "corporate representative." The customer service agent supposedly did. As a result, I am very displeased by how that situation was handled. I canceled my online account, and I will never ever set foot inside of another Walmart as long as I live unless someone at Walmart takes care of this issue to my satisfaction.

I am not going to lie. Walmart is a cesspool. Crazy people come in, crazy people work there, crazy stuff happens. Cashiers are unpleasant (But this is to be expected, I mean... it's Walmart). There is never any help when you need it. NEVER. Good luck getting fabric. Good luck getting help in the electronics department.
In my time here, I have witnessed a lot of bizarre things. I have been treated disrespectfully by cashiers and other staff. One man even got irate with me because I asked him a question and he was 1 minute away from being off the clock. That was the worst thing I had experienced. My husband was with me but not by me when this happened until the man changed his tune after realizing what he had done.
Either way, I guess you're wondering why a three-star review. This is because I actually do have good things to say about my local Walmart, specifically with regards to food. Normally when I go to a grocery store, for some reason I'm followed around like a crook. This hasn't happened at Walmart... maybe once, but I wasn't sure. Maybe people in normal clothes are following me around and I just don't know it. Good news is, I don't feel harassed. I notice it more when I go to our "Upscale" Walmart on the "Good" side of town. Still isn't super offensive though. I can usually shop there and feel pretty normal. The following usually stops after a minute if it happens at all. At this point, I consider them to be doing their jobs unlike other stores where it's just gotten WEIRD.
Food selection is good, prices are good. They usually have everything I need. I cook a lot of Korean food since my family is part Korean. They tend to have what I need in the store to make those things, with only a small trip to the Korean store to fill in the gaps. They have good produce, better than anyone else around here. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like shopping at Walmart. It's awful because of how big, crowded, and strange it can get. What I am saying is it's not entirely bad either. When a better store comes along, I will take my shopping there, but for now it's okay.

She was angry at me for no reason. I told her that I wanted to talk to her manager. She refused it. I know there are scam out there. She was caution, but that doesn't give her any right shout at me. Remember I'm customer here. I deserve better service. I know what I doing, I never want to come back that store again. This is second time that she had bad attitude toward me.

I demanded to talk to manager. Finally assistant manager came and helped me. This manager was not nice either. He didn't know how to work with computer. He had to ask another assistant manager to help him out. Walmart manager must retain all customer service desk, reevaluate their attitudes toward customers. Your store must not let Mike work on front desk customers services. His attitudes would drive customers away from stores. I hoped with this mail Walmart stores need to reevaluate and train their employees to provide better services. I doubt that I would not come back the Walmart store again.

First off I want to say that Walmart has really gone to hell in their hiring process and who they are choosing to hire to be their representatives. I have noticed over the past few years that Walmart is hiring mostly ALL ghetto blacks to work at their stores. These people are rude, disrespectful and makeup rules at their own discretion based on the color of the skin of the person they are waiting on. My experience with Walmart is if you are white don't expect to be waited on or given any type of respect. You had better bring along your closest black friends and family with you. I purchased a blood pressure monitor ($28.00) less than 10 days ago. I went to return the item which was in the original box with everything still in the original plastic it came with. The Customer No Service representative took one look at my white face and immediately got a twisted face. Said "where's the receipt?" I said I didn't have one. I said I just bought this here 10 days ago.
He asked me "why are you returning it?" I told him I didn't need it. He said "why did you buy it then?" I said "that's none of your business". He said "we can't take this back because you don't have a receipt". I said "your store policy which is right behind you and it says I can return the item within 90 days without a receipt. I understand if you can't give me cash back which is fine. You can put it on a Walmart gift card". He said, "no. I'm not going to do that". I said "why not?" He laughed and said "because I'm NOT". I told him, "I want to speak to your manager", he laughed and said "my manager will tell you the same thing". I speak with the "manager" which is nothing more than another ghetto black with a ** attitude and she tells me the same thing.
I ask her about Walmart's store policy which is printed on their wall and point out where it says "over $25 can be put on a gift card" and she tells me "she doesn't care what the policy says she isn't going to give me any refund"... 10 minutes later, my husband (who is black) came into the store and I tell him what happened and he took the item up to the Customer No Service department and the same person who refused to give me a refund happily did so to him without a receipt or problem and they are talking and chatting like they are all friends. Listen up Walmart!! ALL IT TAKES IS ONE PERSON TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AND WHEN I DO IT WON'T BE ABOUT ANY COLOR EXCEPT GREEN!

The clothes were all bought at a different Walmart so they didn't want to exchange them or even give me store credit. I called the main headquarters for Walmart and he did take care of this situation, but the employees there knew we called and were so rude... It was beyond belief.
Today I accused of stealing a toy that was on my own baby's car seat. It had fallen off and when I was putting it back on... I even said to my mom, watch them accuse me of stealing this. The reason I made that comment was my mom was accused of putting an item in her purse the week before when it was her phone and car keys. The woman who accused me was the same as the one who gave us trouble with the returns and the same who accused my mom by taking her in the back room and insulted her. This is total harassment! The toy that they said I stole wasn't even bought at Walmart. It was hanging on my infant's car seat when we walked in.
Also to hold us up with a 6 wk. old infant for 2hrs. in the cold hallway entrance is beyond belief. I am so getting the store manager to do something about this and then calling my lawyer and have this situation resolved! DO NOT GO TO THIS NEW MILFORD WALMART. The store is under stocked and badly run. Tonight I waited in line for over 45 minutes which would not be acceptable in the UK. Your manager seemed inexperienced and confused. Checkouts were being closed and as I was leaving, the total of checkouts closed was 10. The lines were at least 6 carts deep. Lining up in Walmart seems to be the norm. Your manager couldn't really understand what my problem was with having to wait. As I didn't seem to get much joy from her I asked an assistant for head office's address. That was met with a blank look. Whether it's MY accent that wasn't understood I don't know. But I managed to understand them.
It seemed English was not most of the staff at Osceola's Walmart first language. Which considering it is an English tourist area confuses me. The assistant who served me was Hispanic and understood me easily and was very apologetic. She was very overworked but was the only one in my opinion that had good customer service skills. It's sad that even though I have passed all of the necessary tests to get promoted, I still do not get a promotion. Instead, supervisors look at those who have been there far less than I have, who do nothing, and are WAY more willing to promote them. What's the point in doing the extra work, if I am not getting paid for it? What's the point of going above and beyond what I am supposed to do if I am not getting recognized for it. I am hoping this reaches the right person. I was hired at the Avon Walmart 5066 in March as a cashier, we went through orientation and was repeatedly told by personnel how Walmart cares for their employees, and that when you have sick or hurt children they can work with you, and that Walmart understands when you have children there are times that you need to call off or leave work in an emergency situation. However it cannot be excessive, abused and habitual which is understandable - it's a business. But this was a huge huge lie.
No matter how good of an employee you are no matter what awesome things you do for the company and the customers they will not hesitate to fire you for taking a day off to care for your children.. Unless your child was admitted to the hospital taking them to the ER and you end up waiting the whole night in the waiting for X-rays, cat scans and the results from 10pm-4:30am is not an approved absence.
I've went above and beyond for Walmart. so many customers told management how much they liked me and complimented me. I've came in countless times on my days off because they were very short on associates and needed me. I've recovered quite a bit of merchandise that shoplifters have tried to steal. I've always reported suspicious behavior.
A week before I was fired I was sitting in my car, getting my stuff together to walk into work, and I happen to see a semi back up right into the tall chain link fence in the lawn and garden, and destroyed the whole corner and side of the fence. Also, he crushed the two security cameras that were attached to the fence. I took the plate number and trailer number down and alerted the manager. If I had not turned this info, I was told by CSM they would not have known who did it or what happened.
I've always put Walmart customers first. Most of them I remembered by their names and asked about how things were going. I always did my absolute best to make sure the customers knew they were appreciated. I had a new mother come through my line that had obviously been crying and upset. Her baby was having a hard time and developed acid reflux. Since it was slow, and there was no one else behind her, I took the extra time to talk to her about what was wrong, she appreciated that. It let her know that I cared and took the time to listen to her. After that when I saw her, I always asked how she was and how her baby was doing. I really honestly loved and enjoyed my job. I've diffused several situations that could've lost Walmart a few customers.
I have never complained about my job. I have gotten several credit card applications. I helped raise a lot of money for the children's miracle network. Almost 1200.00 just from my register alone. I did not stand around I keep busy by stocking the candy shelves checking expiration dates constantly cleaning and dusting. Making sure my area of the store is clean and organized. Yet everything I've done means absolutely nothing to them. They fired me without hesitation because I had to leave a half hour early twice when my children (7 and 14) had no other way home after their rides fell through.
Then I (no other option but to call off because my daughter fell hurt her back was in the ER with her until 4:30 am. She was in such pain she had a hard time even walking. I made an appointment with the store manager to see what my point status was and in June my Gpa passed away and I hadn't been excused in my job file. I depended on my job to take care of my children and feed them. And with the holidays are coming up and I no longer have a job to be able to Christmas shop this year. Please consider changing the point system. It needs to be done away with so the managers are able to work with the associates and can make some exceptions if needed.

I went to Wal-Mart on 9/27/2015 to buy some items. First I was in lounge party and dressed down because it was my weekend off. Adam was the person who interviewed me. He asked me if I remembered buying a lot of photo frames. I replied "no" because I didn't think 6 frames were a lot and the frames matched. I have a lot of nieces and nephews that just got their school pictures and I liked to hang them up. The other thing I was offended about was he asked why I wore my pajamas out, which they were lounge pants. What I wear in my own time is not his business. He then proceeded to say the csm said I was drunk, which I do not drink. I bought things to decorate my house and he said I didn't pay for them.
My cart was full and bagged. I handed my discount card to the cashier and I think I also have my debit card too. I had it that morning. Adam made me feel embarrassed because he asked if I was in medication, which I do take something for anxiety. I lost my discount card which, I think, the cashier kept asking with my debit card because I had it when I entered the store. Now I did say I didn't think I bought much, but I felt like I was being accused and interrogated for something I didn't do. I then went to my car to look for my card, which I could not find. My basket was bagged and I thought I could take it. No one stopped me. I have never took anything ever.
I think I was set up and Adam basically told me what to write down. So why would I not take items that were bagged. They should have put it there, I had to ask for it. It was strange that I could not find my discount card and my debit card which I had them had. The result was that I was fired which I feel was wrong. I do not think this was handled correctly. I can see coached but fired!!!!!! I have seen people do worse and were able to keep their jobs. What can I do? I want this resolved and my job back.

On Sept 13th (2015), I bought online a GPS. I was suppose to have it by Sept 21st. After a week, it still wasn't shipped so I called the store to see if it was in stock. I was told it was but when I got to the store they didn't have it. Wasted 1 hour of my time & gas. I needed this GPS to pick my family up at an out of state airport which I didn't know how to get to - Walmart could care less or they would have helped me. I talked to the store manager who was rude and told me it would be there on the 21st. On the day before I called 800 and talked to someone who told me Walmart doesn't have this item to sell?? Why are you selling items you don't have?
At this point you think Walmart would sell me another GPS with the same features and item value for the same price as the one I ordered - nope. Besides, HQ hands were tied and only the store can approve something like this - unreal. I called customer service, they tell me it's paid for and there's no refunds but now they tell that's not correct? Seems like no one knows what's going on at this store. Now being that I had to write down the direction to get to this airport, I have written a letter to the president of Walmart with no reply. Moral of the story, rather than help out a customer and make good on a purchase because we might lose a few dollars (hey we're only a multi million-billion dollar co.) to make this right, we'll just tell him to go online and buy a different one??? You must be insane. Consider this my last order.

I have encountered multiple problems with this Walmart on North in Orangeburg, SC. The workers are rude and lazy. They don't want to assist their customers with anything. I have had issues with trying to cash my check with them because the address on my license doesn't match the address on the check. This Walmart is horrible. They don't understand how to interact with the customers in any kind of way. They only stay open until 12 am, when there is a good population of people that reside in the area and travel many miles to get to this Walmart. I have only been in the area for about a year but I would rather travel to Charleston, Summerville, or Columbia. I hate Walmart anymore especially this store.

I bought 2 Hexbugs that were broken when we took them home to play with them. Today I went to Walmart to return them and pick up a few more things. We waited in line for the return for at least a half hour - me and my 3 small boys. During this time 2 other cashiers were not doing anything and I asked if someone else could open another line for returns. I was ignored. When we finally got to the register our cashier mumbled some things under her breath about how it was originally rung up. Then I asked if I could put the credit for the return to my new purchase. When I put my 13 new items to buy up she said, “Damn girl you got a lot of stuff???” Is this a problem? I wondered.
Then I heard another cashier say lane 13 was now open for returns too??? After I just waited all that time with my 3 little guys - I was annoyed. The cashier then shoved my items into a bag with pieces of a shirt hanging out of the bag then started to sing a song to drown me out as I walked away. As I was about to leave, I asked to talk to the manager. She seemed concerned but kinda just said she will see what’s going on as I walked out the store. I will never be back no matter how convenient it is to my house.

ISSUE 1: OVERCHARGING. I had made an online purchase with Wal-Mart on 8th of September. The total amount of the order including taxes was USD 153.84. On the day of the purchase, the entire amount was charged to my card and then reversed in a few hours. But since there, there have been 3 transactions by Wal-Mart on my card, 2 on 9th Sep and 1 on 18th Sep all totaling to almost USD 220!!! Online payment horror stories are heard of but one would not expect that transacting on a Wal-Mart site. I contacted them over 7 days across emails, phone calls and online chats and not even a response from them. Suing them might be my only next option.
ISSUE 2: NON DELIVERY OF ORDERED PRODUCT. I placed an order for 10 different baby products on Wal-Mart and one of them was a set of baby bottle nipples. Even after 2 weeks I did not receive them and I contacted Wal-Mart. They told me to contact the vendor, www.babyhaven.com. I found it unreasonable that as a consumer I need to contact Wal-Mart vendor. But since Wal-Mart was being so unhelpful, I contacted the vendor. The vendor writes back saying that USPS tracking says it is delivered, so now I should contact USPS! When I checked the tracking, it was delivered to some other address! I contacted Wal-Mart and Babyhaven with this information and there has still been no response.
Wal-Mart online shopping has been an absolute harrowing experience. Wrong billing, non delivery of products and the worst is a lack of responsibility or accountability. I have found smaller vendors to be more responsible. My advice: Stay away from Wal-Mart shopping.

So she calls manager on shift Edwin and he takes one look and immediately tells the lady that was helping me, “DON'T RETURN ANYTHING. They have to wait until tomorrow when the lady that usually is here,” and walked away. When I went to go talk to Edwin he walked away waving goodbye saying, “I will not help you,” laughing with another coworker, saying “they're just white trash.” I couldn't believe what I just heard. I was never treated like that ever. I felt embarrassed and such a lack of professionalism.
So I went to ask the manager of shift what his name was and asked for his last name. He said he don't give out his last name and said I could get out of his store and said the necklace was colored and tampered with. Remember this man barely glanced at the necklace but somehow gathered all this information. At this point not only was I embarrassed I felt like I was being treated as if I had stolen, instead of being a manager and making sure my experience at his store was not only enjoyable but I should have felt satisfied where my hard earned money goes to 3 to 4 times a week. Since I have arrived in Columbia and have gone to this particular store on Grindstone Parkway I have had employees follow me through the store constantly. The checkers at self-checkout grab my belongings, suspend the transaction, and review Walmart has a three-month return policy; one will be quite lucky if it lasts that long. Moreover, their employees are not well-trained, they absolutely know nothing - not even the location of an item. Most don't even understand what one asks for even if by the product name.
Walmart, do yourself a favor. Enlighten your employees to criminal behavior and hire those who care to work. There are plenty of people who need to feed their children and cannot get a job because they are taken by the local lazies. I have had numerous persons brag to me how they succeed in ripping off stores. One major one is to have employees follow an honest person while the rest rip you off blind. Others are employees who help their fellow employees again by spreading the rumor to follow a person while the employee rips them off by putting items in garbage and takes outside.
Then you have the poor person in the wheelchair who puts items by his feet or sits on products such as DVDs and CDs. Hard to believe, isn't it. Then you have those who will switch tags, fold clothes neatly in a stack of two or three and only pay for 1. So Walmart, please lay off. Hire an OD consultant or someone who can help you all with training your employees. Quality will always outdo quantity.

As we went to check out I had went to use the bathroom in the men's room and when I walked in there was toilet paper all over the floor and one urine hole was taped off as it must have been broken and in all the stalls there was urine and paper on the floor and an empty cough syrup bottle in one and not hand towels. I looked at another customer and he said this was better than the last time he was there.
So as I exit the restroom I had went to tell the check out person on how bad the bathroom was and they chuckled and said "yes I will let the management know about it when I have time." I was walking out and saw a young man and asked if he worked there and he stated to me that he did not and proceeded to stop and lean up against the podium that the worker work at and played with his phone and my wife said he had a badge on him that he did work there and we did not see anyone else as we were leaving and I will not go back to that store as long as I live.

My Walmart's store experience is turning me into a second-class citizen as manager's new return policy becomes into effect. You're considered a criminal first then a customer. Because I wanted to return a broken item costing $3.49. Yet their global ethical policy is integrity and their behavior is to disbelief the customer. Calling corporate to discuss the situation put me in line for Loss Prevention. Let me tell you Loss Prevention, you lost a customer. I have paid $200 in products the day before at the same store and they called security instead of store manager for a $3.49 item. Yup your fraud management is winning, your profit management is losing. How do you determine who is committing fraud may be difficult, but it should not come at the expense of paying customers.
Why should I jeopardize who I am for Walmart's policy? I learned a long time ago something cheap comes with a price. Is the price being arrested and then having to explain to employers what happened worth the few pennies saved at Walmart? And for all your customers you created a second-class citizen. Join me and don't forget to price match when you shop at Target or Kmart. Management don't forget social networking does work.

The Walmart in Madisonville, TN is just a sample of a much bigger problem. I have visited this Walmart numerous times. I visit Walmart on average three to four times weekly. Of the 20 plus POS (point of sales) checkout lines operated by humans there is only up to three open at any given time. I have even seen the POS that sell tobacco products are closed. There are rare occasions when there are three open like a tax-free weekend on Saturdays or during peak hours. The self checkout POS are out of order many times and most only take cards, no cash. I have never seen all of the self POS working properly on my frequent visits. I am guessing this is partly a cost cutting measure to ensure that labor hours is low as possible.
This problem is the same as Lenoir City, TN Walmart minus the self checkouts POS - when operating they seem to take cash. I sometimes will pay more for a product just where I don't wait ten minutes to give my hard earned cash to someone that thinks they're doing me a favor because of short staffed or POS not operating. I would like to see Walmart management to go visit Home Depot and see how their cashiers wait for customers and don't leave their POS just because it is slow. I love how they ask if I'm ready to check out. I have never waited more than three minutes at Home Depot.

I called to speak to someone in the electronics department which took 6 call returns to the operator and about 24 minutes of being put on hold. It then took less than 30 seconds for a woman by the name of Ionnie to interrupt me in the middle of my sentence to tell me that they don't have the product that I wasn't even able to finish telling her that I needed. Then as I asked to talk to someone else a man by the name Hector answered explaining to me that they have a whole bunch of other products that I don't need. I asked if he could at least check because I had been on hold for 25 minutes and that I'd really appreciate it, if he could please just humor me and check. That is when he was telling me that they don't sell it; as I was thanking him for at least checking he so rudely said, "yeah" and hung up before I could finish my sentence.
Have worked in retail such as Target I can completely understand how not answering the phones can be very easy especially when you have tons of people needing your help. However the guest service I was presented with, I not only feel but strongly believe is unacceptable by any means! Not only was it slow, your employees wrote me off before I could even explain or finish telling them what I needed. Not to mention being on hold for 27mins:08sec then having Hector hang up on me. If this is happening to me, what makes the store manager or even the district manager think it's not happening to other customers, turning them off from shopping at the Walmart in SJ, CA off Story Rd as well?

First off I have post graduate degree in management from a accredited university and 30 years in management - The micro management system at your corp is Poor to say the least! Your store managers act in a THUG mentality-- The directions they give are confusing and defraud the clients and vendors! Also defrauding the company (I have proof). I have already numerous examples on cell tapes and photos which I am more than willing to share with interested parties. Your management skills are poor. Your personal likes do not help the company profits and the THUG approach to employees is beyond any acceptable norms.

Yesterday I was in Walmart to purchase some tee shirts. After I found some I liked, then I went over to look at laptop computers. I saw an HP that I liked that had a price of $332.00. I liked the looks of the computer and I purchased it. After I got back home, I wanted to learn more about that model. I went on Walmart's website and found the same model computer was on a clearance sale at $295.00. I thought if Walmart is advertising it, then they should honor that price. I paid a $37.00 difference than what Walmart was advertising.
I printed out the web price, went back to Walmart and talked to a rep in Electronics. He said that all Walmarts have different prices. I said but it is owned by one company. They would not honor the web price unless I went back home, about ten miles, brought the computer back to the store, take it to Returns and return it for a refund, then try to buy it back after I proved that the website advertised the same one at a lower price. I think that if Walmart puts a price on its website, a customer should not have the burden of proof put on the customer them to verify the lower price. I did not return it. It was too much of a problem for me. I just won't shop at their stores.

Walmart put a $100 hold on my bank account for a $20 gasoline purchase using my Debit Card as a Credit. I always buy my gas this way, everywhere, and NEVER has a hold been put on my account. There were ample funds to cover the purchase. My bank informed me it was Walmart who put the holding it. The Walmart #** Manager informed me that it is ALWAYS done that way. Walmart Corporate Customer Relations informed me it is a known issue, and that they are working on it. Not everyone, including myself, has a spare $100 to let Walmart hold, which could last up to 2 days, for the privilege of buying $20 of gasoline. If this is their practice, then they should make customers aware of it "at the pump, before purchase" to avoid this situation. Luckily, this time, I had the $100. Next I may only have the actual $20. So, for anyone reading this, it's just a heads up on the practices of Walmart.

I contacted the customer service department for Walmart.com orders. I was told that a conversation was had with the local store manager and that I should bring the item back to have it swapped out for the right one. The following day, I went to the store to do so. I found out I was picking up the same item. So I took to the phone again and called the customer service department for Walmart.com orders. At this time I was told that what I had seen when I placed my order, was an error. She continued by saying that I can return the item for a refund.
I am agitated at this time because only did I not receive what I ordered, I have made two blank trips to the store, which estimated a waste of about two hours. This was supposed to be a site to store order. An order that you place online and pick up within minutes in the store. I requested to speak to a supervisor. Once I spoke with her, she was like "ma'am, how can I help you." I said I needed them to honor their advertising from which I placed an order. She offered a gift card to replace the item. I was supposed to receive it within 24-48 hours. This was on the 19th, I have yet to receive it.

With that being said, I am always followed by associates when I HAVE NEVER, REPEAT NEVER STOLEN ANYTHING FROM THERE!!! I frequent this location almost everyday and asked to speak to the manager about this issue because if it happens again I'm going to file harassment charges, and of course this manager is always in a meeting. I also go to the Rocky Mount location but am close to Nashville. I have never had this happen at any other location.
I understand the employees have a job to do. However, if you see me on their camera and obviously I'm not stealing, then leave me there hell alone. I have a three year old, and trust me that is far more important than going to jail over any merchandise. I do not want anything I cannot pay for!!! I'm writing the letter in regards to an experience I had in your Fort Wayne, Indiana Apple Glen location that is still unresolved due to an overzealous Loss Prevention Associate making the wrong call. While shopping the store, a store where I've spent thousands of dollars and perhaps even hundreds of thousands over the course of my shopping in the store, I proceeded to the register to ring up my items: two bottles of wine, a package of breakfast sausage, a tomato, a toy for my son, and an onion.
I called the cashier over to the register to enter in my ID information for the wine. My son was helping me ring up the items and I received a call. As I was talking, I remembered that I had to go to pick up a prescription for son, so I gathered our bags and went to the pharmacy. What I didn't realize is that I hadn't completed the purchase by either swiping my debit card which was in my hand, or entering my pin. Because I was so distracted by the phone call and thinking about the prescription, I had a scatterbrain moment and didn't pay. After seeing how long the line was in the pharmacy area, we started walking down to the other end of the store to leave. Before getting to the door, a manager asked for my receipt. I started looking for it and told her that I must have left it at the register.
I then started to realize that I didn't even remember entering in my pin information so I walked down to the register where I was asked the cashier, "did my card go through?" She replied that she canceled the order. I told her that I'd like to pay for the items and from that point it seemed as if everything was ok. Not even a minute later, the associate who approached me at the door came back with another employee and said I couldn't purchase the items and that I would have to go into the office.
In the office, they proceeded to enter my information into the system and notified me that if this happened again, it would be an automatic felony. Why should my personal information be entered into this system for a mistake? ALL this, while with my son. I was upset but cooperated. Apparently, my items rang up to $39 which is over the allowed dollar amount for theft. The police was called and I was arrested ALL WHILE MY SON WAS WITH ME. I want to be clear that my behavior while in the store did not indicate a person who was trying to steal. I went to price check, went into the gardening section where there was a clear opportunity for me to leave out of the store, rang up my items, called the cashier to enter my ID, never immediately left the store after walking away from the register & even cooperated at the door. I made a scatterbrain mistake and was treated like a common criminal.
Now I'm in a position where I have to hire an attorney to get this charge dismissed, as well as miss work, and now considering filing a suit for being profiled in your store. I will never shop at your store again and will make it my business to make sure others don't as well. I work everyday to pay my bills and shop where I want and I don't appreciate being treated so poorly. The Loss prevention associate never even watched surveillance to confirm any of my story. He saw me at one point in the store and made a extremely poor judgment call. He was very unprofessional and unwilling to think logically. If he saw me at every point in the store, he would have been able to make a logical assumption.
What's most upsetting is that I try to protect my young son from having to be in any situation like this and he's a point where this could be a memory for him later in life and I'm upset about that. He has to see at a young age how people are wronged due to faulty systematic ways of operation. I was humiliated for items I really didn't even need -- had more than enough to pay for.
It was a bad call and it's caused a chain reaction of events that are truly unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers money... A group which I happen to belong to. You had an Loss Prevention Specialist waste time on long time customer while he could have been catching actual criminals! If this is how you treat your paying customers, I definitely don't want to spend money with you.

I had hope for Wal-Mart when I researched other employees' reviews. They talked about flexible work hours, care for the employee, etc. This is not what I experienced at my local Wal-Mart. During the interview, each manager asked me what my availability was. I made it very clear that I can only work part-time, mentioning college, but that I had no preference as to working in the morning, afternoon, or night. Once I got accepted and signed the papers, it's as if management became very nasty with me.
During CBLs (computer based learning) I had one person telling us (new associates) one thing, and another telling us something else. CBLs take more than one day to complete. It tells you of procedures and what you can/cannot do, basically like orientation. The trainer told us that we could leave whenever we had to, and I made sure that I put that into good use since I was having family issues at home. However, the manager wasn't very happy with me leaving at the same time everyday. She began to get personal with me while fuming, asking me "What, do you still have another job, or something?" Because other people were turning around to look at her, I decided to give her a peace of mind and reluctantly told her about my family issues. I immediately felt very uncomfortable with management and their inconsistency.
Then, on the first day on the job, I asked the trainer where I could put my stuff and she instantly brushed me off with a "you're not my problem anymore" attitude... all because of a simple question. I then asked her if she knew where I was supposed to meet my supervisor, and again, she said "I'm not a part of that. I don't know" and said nothing else. I was not eager to hear what else they might snap at me for.
Once I finished my orientation, the supervisor dumped me with hours (45 hours per week, despite me saying that I will only work part-time). At first I thought that it was just because I was supposed to be shadowing someone that worked those hours, since he said "Ok. This is who you're going to be shadowing this week. These are her hours. She'll show you everything that you need to know." But, as I looked at my future schedules, I realized that this was a permanent schedule, so I confronted my supervisor and told him about how I'm going to school and have other obligations going on, and that I clarified I could only work part-time hours. He said that we could sit down and talk about my other options, but that he had something else he needed to deal with at the moment.
As expected, I had to be the one to approach him the next day. I continued the conversation I had with him and he explained to me that he cannot switch my hours until 6 months in, because I would have to be very knowledgeable. The conversation ended with a rather insistent closing when he said, "The reality is, I can't switch you after 6 months, ok?" I was furious with their miscommunication, the non-negotiable hours, and rude management. I wrote a resignation letter effective immediately instead of actually talking to them or leaving a two-week notice because of obligations outside of work. I mean, they're okay with being indirect with me by assigning hours they knew I couldn't work but trapped me in, (that explains their passive faces when during the interview when I told them I'm only available part time) so an indirect letter couldn't hurt them, right?
Needless to say, they weren't very happy and the manager who received my letter insists that they didn't know I quit. Funny thing is, it's been three weeks and I called to confirm that my paycheck was on its way to my mailbox. They say that I haven't quit. So they've been assuming that I've went to work these past three weeks, on a 45 hr/wk schedule? No call, no nothing so I assumed they got the letter. Shows how much they keep track of their employees. I'm not one bit surprised about this. During my time there, I've encountered many associates who claim that Wal-Mart is "easy money" because all they have you do is zone for 5 hours straight after 4 hours of stocking and that you can take prolonged breaks and walk out, and they wouldn't notice. I've never personally tried it before, but after what has happened, I have found this to be true.
I have never walked out on a job without leaving a two-week notice before, much less within a couple of weeks of starting the job. With previous jobs, I was very happy and upbeat. I loved helping customers, the duties I was assigned, and management treated me with mutual respect. I really never thought that I would be "that person" that everyone at the workplace instantly hated, and I never understood why some people do it - until now. I feel that Wal-Mart really showed me a new side to them that you don't see when you're only consuming their goods. They don't take into consideration what you can physically work, and management is unapproachable. You're not always going to have people that treat you fairly, but in the workplace, it shouldn't be an option - it should be a requirement.

I contacted Christmas Central who said that Christmas Central warranty period is 30 days and that this item is out of warranty even though Stanley warranty is 3 years. I contacted Walmart.com who indicated that they have no influence with Christmas Central and that Walmart.com merely sells space on their website to various re-sellers and that Walmart.com cannot and will not assist in any warranty claim. I recently stopped at the Walmart on 3950 W. Lake Mead Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada to pick up a few items. A young man assigned to the greeter position at the door greeted me professionally. However, when I was leaving the store, things took a turn for the worse. The greeter asked to see my receipt and when I asked him why, he did not reply, so I kept walking to the door. He then proceeded to actually called me a "rude **" to my back. I turned around and asked him what he called me because I was just astounded, and he repeated, "I called you a rude **" without hesitation. I was so shocked and upset that I left the store rather than confront him or ask for the store manager to report his behavior. I only hope that this is not acceptable customer service at this store and that this young man is appropriately counseled at a minimum.
I didn't get his name, but he was the greeter at the door at 1:30 p.m. and had distinctive waist length black hair, pulled back in a long ponytail. Checking customers' bags on the way out makes no sense whatsoever and as far as I can tell, is done arbitrarily targeting people with one or two bags. I'm not sure if the greeters take it on themselves to perform this task, but it's invasive to check purchases this way and I'm sure the policy would not hold up to any legal scrutiny.
What if I have personal items in that bag that I didn't want anyone to inspect? Your stores have camera and security teams who should handle shoplifters. I have personally witnessed thieves stuffing items in clothes while you check honest customer's bags at the door. By the way, I reported that incident to a clerk on the floor as it was happening and was met with complete indifference. This policy is completely disrespectful to your honest customers and encourages thieves to find more creative ways to steal from your stores.
