Don't shop at Kohl’s! After many years of loyalty, I am done with Kohl’s. During a recent sale, I ordered 4 Fisher Price toys for my grandson's first birthday. His mailing address is an APO address which Kohl’s has shipped to many times in the past 2 years. They shipped one of the toys and a week later automatically cancelled the rest of my order. Had I known they weren't going to fill my order, I would have cancelled the entire order. When I questioned why they cancelled my order, they said it was because of APO restrictions. Nothing I ordered was really ineligible for APO. I pushed back and now 3 weeks have passed and they claim the items were all out of stock. All a bunch of B.S. Boycott KOHLS.COM!

I placed an order and went to the store to pick it up. The associate scanned my phone and then brought out another customer's order. She scanned my phone a 2nd time and after me notifying her of what I in fact ordered, she finally gave me the right items. I kept receiving text and emails stating that my order was not picked up, and finally that because I failed to pick it up, the order was canceled and I would receive a refund. Upon receiving the refund, and trying to be an honest person, I called and notified Kohl's that I was refunded in error. Imagine my surprise when they then proceed with charge me twice, and expect me to jump through hoops, by providing bank statements, because of their multiple errors! Target just acquired a new customer!!!

The most stressful part of planning my wedding was the registry I set up at Kohl's. Below is the list of issues my husband and I had before and after our wedding: 1. We had over 10 broken dishes in two different shipments that were sent to us. Staff refused to offer us an exchange and said they could only offer us store credit for what was paid for the items. Since the items were purchased with a 30% off coupon, we were not given enough credit to repurchase the broken items and had to pay for a portion of our own gifts.
2. Four platters were missing from the order of dishes my aunts bought for us. The Kohls.com employees were unable to send me these items, and instead made me contact my aunt and have her call them to have these items sent. 3. When my aunt contacted Kohl's to tell them I did not receive the platters and to have Kohl's resend them, Kohl's told her the platters were returned by us. This was absolutely not the case, since we had never received any platters. 4. We received a decanter with no receipt, so we do not know who it is from and cannot send a thank you card. Of course Kohl's could not tell me who sent it.
5. There were several items purchased on our registry right before my shower in May that we never received. When I brought this up to the Kohls.com supervisor, Erica, she very condescendingly stated that obviously these items were purchased by guests who are planning on packaging up and sending these items themselves, or bringing them to the wedding. I explained that since this is a destination wedding, I highly doubt guests will be flying with large items, nor will they be packaging up martini glasses and other glassware and sending these items themselves. It makes absolutely no sense, but the Kohls.com supervisor refused to look into the issue, show me any empathy, or offer me anything for my troubles.
6. It is 2 weeks after my wedding now, and we still have not received the items that were purchased off our registry in May. I called and spoke to another supervisor, Andres, and was told there is nothing they can do unless I have a tracking number or know the name of the individual who purchased the items. Apparently there is no way for Kohls.com to look up any of this information. Ridiculous! Since I am not going to contact all 100+ wedding guests of mine and ask them if they bought us any of the missing gifts, Kohl's gets to keep the money for the items we never received and the guests who bought them will never receive a thank you card from us.
*It is very embarrassing and downright rude for me to be asking friends and relatives if they sent me anything, telling them the items they bought were not sent, and not being able to send thank you cards to gift givers. DO NOT REGISTER at Kohl's as their customer service and lack of empathy makes having a registry a nightmare.

I've tried calling customer service (if that's what they call it) several times. I've been transferred a few times to different people with the same result. NOTHING. Finally! I asked to speak to a Manager/Supervisor. William ** he was blatant, disrespectful, and quite frankly needs anger management. I needed to look at my statement to make a payment, well I was locked out of the online site and needed to reset my password. He would not listen to what I had to say, he kept saying that if I don't let him speak he can't help me and after telling him my reason for calling he said I had to bring my account up to date so I can have access or so he can help me.
Excuse me, I'm not paying unless I see what my balance is. Especially since there was a credit due my account which still has NOT been posted. So, the balance they have does not reflect the credit. Therefore, it should be lower than what their records reflect. I have the original receipt that shows the credit. When I reiterated my complaint to him he put me on hold and guess what?? He put the call right back to the call pool so someone else can handle the call. Unbelievable!!!!

I've been a Kohl's customer for years and have never had a problem. However, I decided to order a bunch of clothes online for my daughter for the fall season as well as a few things for myself on 8/10 - it is 8/21 today. I no longer live close to the store so I chose online rather than in person as usual. First, they split the order into two orders. When the first arrived, it was missing an item that was on the packing slip. Another item still had the security tag on it! They refunded the missing item and sent me a new one (which has yet to arrive) and emailed me suggesting I throw out the item with the security tag on it because there's nothing they can do. They said they will refund me for that item as well.
The second order has yet to come. I called customer service AGAIN and was told after being on hold for a very long time it may come on the 24th. This whole experience has been a huge hassle and I will not shop here, at least online, again. Since I'm no longer close to a store I may just close the credit card. So disappointed. I will definitely write ANOTHER review on here if the second order is messed up.

Asked to be transferred for customer phone survey and was disconnected. Horrible telephone order experience!!

I will start by saying I am a loyal and regular Kohl's customer and have been shopping in the store and online for over 15 years and have had the status of MVC (Most Valuable Customer) every year because I spend so much money with this company. I recently had the worst customer service that I have ever experienced with any company. I ordered 3 items online and when my package arrived 2 of my items were not in the bag and 2 items that I didn't order were enclosed. I immediately called the customer service because I not only wanted this fixed but I also needed one of the missing items for a special family photo. A helpful associate assisted me and in filing a complaint, gave me a reference number, and told me that I would probably hear from them via email within 24 hours but I could call back and check the status at any time.
After I had not heard from them in 36 hours I called to check because I wanted the situation corrected asap and I needed the correct items sent to me asap. When I called back I was connected with a representative that I could not clearly understand and he kept wanting me to reorder the items and pay again without any assistance for the problem I called about. I ask to be connected to a supervisor and I had to practically demand it before he would do so. I was put on hold for over 45 minutes and was finally hung up on when an automated recording thanked me for calling and said goodbye. I immediately called back and had to reexplain everything to another representative before I could even speak to a supervisor. I then had to reexplain to the supervisor and he told me he would escalate my situation to red status and I should hear from someone in 24-48 hours.
About 30 hours later I got an email wanting the UPC codes and for me to reexplain again that had happened. They recommended I take the items to my nearest store for correction. I explained to them that the nearest store was a 45 minute drive one way from my house and they didn't have the items I ordered in the store which was the entire reason I ordered online to begin with. Out of frustration, I drove the hour and a half round trip drive to my nearest store and had to explain to an associate and manager what had happened and show them the email from customer service before they would return the items. I ended up reordering the items which did not arrive in time for pictures. After all of this hassle, frustration, time lost on telephone calls, and driving to the store, I was offered a 15% discount on my next order!
What a joke! I almost always get 30% coupons in the mail and get free shipping because of my MVC status or I order so much I qualify for free shipping. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I've spent over $600 with Kohl's in last two weeks and I always pay my card off every month so you would think I would have been treated a little better. I've never filed any type of complaint like this but I want people to know what to expect and that customer service is not what it once was.

My wife ordered a little over $1000 of baby furniture for our new baby. Kohl's canceled the order. When we called their fraud department told us that it was our bank that canceled the order. Thinking it was something with the shared card I put the order in my account. They canceled the order again, but both cards were being held the amount. Again they said it was my bank. I called the bank the next day and they said it was not due to their end.
Calling back to Kohl's another representative said that the order was canceled on their end because they were high security items, and nothing could be done to the holds on my account because the orders were canceled. I couldn't replace the order because holds were on the account. Why they didn't hold the order and contact us without canceling it, I'll never know. So, we went to Buy Buy Baby, Burlington Coat Factory, and Babies "R" Us, and got the same thing without the headache. Kohl's? Never again.

Well I did receive my discount but then make their get that money overcharging you for late fees. I sent my payment by mail 5 working days before payment. I got on charged a $27 late fee. When I spoke to one of the reps. She said that they posted the payment after 5:00 pm and for that reason is a late payment and the charge is not to be taken...
They even have on their customer's online recorder "If you have a complaint for late charges fee". What... So that is their system... Post payment after 5:00 pm; I even claimed that the US Post office doesn't delivers mail that late. The credit card is a scam! They have plenty experience online with complaints of overcharging late fees. They already have all kinds of replies to your situation.... Save your money, don't open a credit Card, you will regret. I really thought I was saving money... My balance was like what $42.00 + now $27.00. I'll pay but you will never see me buying Nothing on Kohl's Ever...

Last Christmas I was asked by the cashier if I'd like to open up a Kohl's charge for my purchases, being how the cashier gets her own commission on the amount of charge cards that get signed on at her register I figured... what the heck... She told me I would be receiving my card in the mail, Well you know the old saying out of sight out of mind. Never got a card... Never got a bill... Never got ** except Kohl's reported the case to credit Bureau and damaged my credit score to the point of where my card was revoked. When I finally realized that It was them pulling my credit score down, I immediately called and paid what I owed them.
Their excuse was "all of our bills and your credit card came back to us so we were unable to collect our money". Ahhhh. First off I've been at the same residence for 21 years... And my phone number has never changed... And I've NEVER had any mail returned to the sender. Try calling me and leaving a message that I have an outstanding bill... Now they tell me that I have to despite this but first I have to contact my mail carrier... Until now I had perfect credit. So much for "EXPECT GOOD THINGS". You made unnecessary work for me and you froze my major credit card that had several auto payments attached to it that are now compromised because of your stupid and unnecessary move... BEWARE!

On three different trips to Kohl's they have each been less than enjoyable and even disturbing. They stopped playing inspirational music. The next trip I noticed the same thing. Then the lady putting back clothes acted like I was in her way. No, "excuse me". Just brushed by. The next trip my daughter and I went into the ladies room and a male customer rushed by me into the Ladies dressing room. I immediately went out to tell an associate and was informed that men are allowed to use our dressing room.
Today I tried one last time. Again I was almost run over by an associate as if my shopping were an inconvenience. One associate in the jewelry department was complaining very loudly about, of all things, a shopping experience. Using his outside voice stated, "I was so pissed!" I walked straight to check out. I am an MVC customer which the cashier never acknowledged. So sad to see that Kohl's stopped caring. I am considering other clothing manufacturers that are more family friendly for my future purchases.

I ordered a shirt and pants online. The items were shipped separately and it tooks 2 weeks to receive the shirt. The pants were never delivered. After not receiving I contact Kohl’s customer service via email, no response 2xs. I went online to try to call and could not find a number but saw I could chat, Kohl’s said it was delivered and would open an "investigation" and send me an email. Two days later I received an email telling me to go walk the streets to look for the pants around my neighborhood. AZ in the summer gets as hot at 120. The thought of asking complete strangers, and I also just had surgery and using a knee scooter, was scary and painful.
Kohl’s has refused to send the order to me and refused to send the shipping costs that I paid. The pants cost 26 and they gave me a refund of $7 since I used some Kohl’s cash on the whole order. They divided it up, now I'm out the Kohl’s cash and shipping. The customer service is horrible and I will not shop there ever. Hope this helps anyone deciding to buy anything w/them.

I purchased a Serta cooling gel mattress topper from Kohl's. Upon opening it I found what I thought looked like mice droppings, my husband thought it looked more like bed bugs. I immediately had issues with Kohl's denying the return because the item comes vacuum sealed in a box and now was the size of a queen bed therefore could not be placed back into the box/resold. I returned it after several days of arguing. I still (over a month later) do not have my refund.
When I contact customer service I am either told to wait up to 7 days for my refund or they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about, and it's my first contact with kohl's in regards to this matter. I have contacted Kohl's over 40 times and my refund is still not on my card. I am being charged interest for a purchase that was defective and therefore returned. We always heard that Kohl's customer service and return/refund policies were crap, but never believed it until now. We had two problems back to back. 1st the moron cashier failed to add the gift cards we repeatedly told him we had, he lied and said he had already scanned. We didn't notice he did not scan crap until we got home, then we had to return next day to get price adjustment. "Customer service" rep was rude, refused to give refund back to our credit card because main "account holder is not present." We brought back all the items with the tags still attached plus the original receipt and had the credit card we used for purchase literally in our hands and Kohl's "policy" is too bad. We overcharged you, you won't get your money back if account holder isn't there.
I have personally made returns for friends and relatives who were unable to make it to stores like Macy's to return and never had any issues. All I had to do was insert or swipe the cards they gave me and they all got their money back yet for some reason Kohl's will not refund the amount back onto your card unless you're there in person. Forget their crap "hassle-free return" shtick, they will either 1. Refuse refund/return, 2. Refund you store credit even if you have receipt, or 3. Refund you only partial amount if the item you're returning is no longer on sale. So they jack up the price of the item and expect you to take the hit by repaying you less than what you paid for?
Why deny the refund if their stupid cashiers overcharge you? Why deny the refund if you have the card used for purchase right in front of them? Why deny the refund if you bought back all the items still tagged? Why deny the refund if you still have original receipt? You mean these idiots can't just let you insert or swipe the card so their computer can just refund you or the account holder the money owed you? They overcharge then tell you they won't give you your own money back. Thieves.

I called them very upset and said why didn't they mail me a letter before suspending an account. They said they had to email everything. I said, "So why didn't you email this letter." Since they did mail me this letter it would have been better customer service to mail me a letter saying if this is not paid by a certain date they would suspend my account. I was livid that they would go so overboard by suspending my account through collections over $11. I talked to customer service and a manager and they both acted like they didn't care. When I first purchased a credit card through Kohl's it was brought to my understanding that I would not be charged interest so I have paid faithfully on my payments until each purchase was paid off in full with them. So I buy a coffee pot for 129. On my credit card and on my statement I notice they charge me interest so I called the manager up to find out why that is and I was told that I signed an agreement and that they charge interest no matter what and less you can pay the merchandise off in full all at once. I said to her well what is the reason for getting a credit card then if I could pay for the merchandise off all at once? It doesn't make sense at all. So I closed out my credit card with them and I will not reopen it. I have good credit and have been faithful in my payments. I don't understand why companies can't be more faithful in how they deal with the customer in what they say to them to try to get them to open up a credit card.
Also there should be a understanding of some sort where if you are late on a payment then charge interest or give a 6 month interest free on credit card until the merchandise is paid off in full by making monthly payments. The manager was not very understanding of the situation. Tried to over talk me several times to prove her point. Tried to tell me that all credit cards charge interest in all companies no matter what they tell you. I really didn't appreciate the overall talk that I had with her. I wasn't even given credit for being on time with my payments much less alone given credit for making my payments with this store. I am done with this store.

I have been having trouble getting my account 'up to date' even though I pay CONSTANTLY, serious every two weeks. Well, I got a collection call from Kohl's just now, and they wanted 3 times the normal payment because of no payments for 2 months. I asked why, my bank account showed the payments clearing. They said I'd have to talk to my bank about that because a bank I NEVER HEARD OF put a stop payment on those payments I scheduled, and they never were credited. I asked why my statements showed them crediting, and they said they didn't know. I was talking to collections, and only customer service could help me with that.
So I asked to be transferred to customer service, needless to say, after holding, giving my info, and waiting again, I was told only collections could answer my question. Only a collections supervisor, specifically. So I asked to be transferred to one. I was, gave my info AGAIN and waited and was told she would look into it. And I was disconnected.
So, some bank I never heard of is 'stop paymenting' on payments that MY BANK and the KOHL'S STATEMENT shows as cleared. But, I am 3 months late, and owe payments and penalties on the late balance. What? Of course, I had told the supervisor who disconnected me that I wanted to close my account. That's probably why she disconnected me. I wonder if when I go to the store, they'll tell me they cannot close my account. They have been willing to do NOTHING at the store about this, said I have to call myself. Terrible customer service and what's with a bank I never heard of having power to 'stop payment' on my scheduled payments? I don't believe it. They're just funneling it into some other account and this is the cover story. Awful.

I purchased them because the one I had broke and I purchased two with the intent of having my daughter help me decide which would be best for me. In the meantime my kids told me I should call Fitbit regarding my broken one which I FINALLY did! By that time it was past their one year warranty but THEIR customer service was exceptional and they sent me a new one therefore I no longer needed the two I purchased from Kohl's.
I had my receipts and the items which had never been opened and went to the store to return them. I was informed that they were premium electronics and only had a 30 day return policy. I ordered them online and never saw anything that indicated that. Once again I was thinking about this fantastic return policy they have anything, anytime for any reason. The gals in the store were nice enough and they even told me it was a new policy initiated during the holiday season but there was no way for them to override the return and suggested I try calling Kohl's.com.

I am very frustrated because I have been a very good Kohl's customer for a very long time and I'm sorry but I'm SURE there's some way to override the issue. They don't even have to credit my card. I tracked it and it said estimated delivery for Monday. I called Kohl's, the guy (can't even begin to try to spell it) said NOTHING about that it had not been shipped. Just credited me the shipping charge and said I needed to call FedEx because it was their fault.
I called Fed Ex and they explained that the label had been created but they never got the package. I called Kohl's back (again spoke to someone that I could barely understand and wouldn't dare try to spell the name). He acted like he didn't know his head from his **. Well, so I will be cutting up my card and they will be lucky to get the balance I owe on that card (which isn't much but I will not be paying it). I have all of the documentation printed and will be handing it over to my attorney if they try anything stupid about my balance. THIS WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.

I bought a pair of maternity pants from Kohl's that were $40. I never wore them and they had the tags on them still but I did not have a receipt because it has been almost 9 months since I bought the jeans. I went to the store to return them and the cashier proceeded to tell me that all of their maternity clothes are on sale because they will no longer be carrying maternity clothes in store and then she told me I could get $4 in store credit. I am absolutely disgusted that my $40 pants could only be returned for $4. I will never be returning to Kohl's. How would anyone want to shop at a store knowing they will not get 90% of their money back if they want to return an item! Absolutely outrageous!

Kohl's does not take discounts off of the majority of the products they carry... but I can earn Kohl's cash paying full price... I can get same products elsewhere and use discounts and it is much cheaper. Their products are 3 times price as everywhere else and their products are cheaply made, clothes do not last at all. Just like Junky Jeweler. Also they claim they price match. Well that is an outright lie. You are better off shopping at any department store. Even the higher end stores because it will be much cheaper in the long run!!!

I shopped yesterday, Friday, May 19 - went to check out and realized the $15 off of $50 coupon wasn't good until Saturday, May 20. The clerk at the register told me to just take all my items to Customer Service and they will hold them for me for 24 hours. At Customer Service the clerk put the items in a clear bag and had me write my name on a piece of paper. She wrote on the same piece of paper to hold until May 20. I went to Kohl's at 9 AM on the 20th to discover they could not find the bag at Customer Service. Of course all the items I had gathered were no longer found in the store. Only some children's pajamas were on clearance; the other items were just on sale that started Friday at 3 PM. It is such a shame employees cannot do the right thing! The store manager could have cared less!

I never received an e-statement at the email address provided so would go online and view my account and make a payment based on the on-line statement. The statement cycle ended on the 16th and I paid on the 17th (2 weeks early because it wasn't due until the 1st of the next month). The on-line payment would cycle before statement ending and it would count it as late every month even though it was clearly paid early and consistently. I received a late fee every month for $27 and they would only reverse one of the fees because their policy is to only allow one even though they were clearly inaccurate and online doesn't match payment revenue cycle process. I closed my account and plan to be sure it is not on my credit report and dispute it. This is crazy unfair and someone needs to pay attention to the way consumers are being nickeled and dimed like this. I refuse to shop at Kohl's any longer!

On October 1, 2016 I, Tina ** ordered merchandise totaling $162.12 from Kohl's.com official site for online order. I called Kohl's.com and talked with Scott and gave my change of new address and received an email verifying they received confirmation of new address. On that same evening, I called them due to having an issue with Kohl's previously with shipping to correct address. I checked my order confirmation to see where the address was shipping to. Once again the order was being shipped to South Carolina instead of Florida.
When I called, Kohl's sent a new order that same evening with a new order to be sent to my correct address in Florida, On October 1, I also manually changed it on my laptop as well~ just to be sure my shipment arrived. In addition, the people we sold the house to knew us as well, and knew our address as well, as well as the post office forwarding all mail. Due to error on part of Kohl's, all packages ended up in South Carolina instead of Florida. Boy, what a mess! I received shipments from old address that Janice our postal lady charged us $3.00 to $7.75 for postage on two packages. After that I asked Janice my mail carrier I wasn't accepting any more packages from Kohl's with postage when Kohl's knows where I live now. However, I had sent (2) packages of shipments back that actually went back to the corporate office with Janice my mail carrier.
Moreover, the bath rug set never arrived on one shipment. During which time I spoke with Mike, Scott about changing address @ Kohl's, supervisors from Kohl's that I spoke with are: Sherri, Edward, Kay~ representative not claiming to be a supervisor. Staff claiming they're going to be expediting the $162.12 quickly back to me are: Rose, Monica, Mike John, Kay again, and Octbio. Before speaking with Octbio in April, I went to the Lady Lake store in Florida by my hometown where I shop in store and explained briefly the situation to a supervisor named Kathy **. She went beyond customer service and called Kohl's.com and spoke with many representative.
Finally speak with a supervisor named John which I have spoken with previously. Everyone promised me expediting priority but nothing. Although, John gave me a case #. Since back in March, nothing! The last I heard from Octbio, it was 4-21-2017. This has been going on (8) months since October 13, 2017 and still no money back! The total amount owed to me is for all the towel (blue, green, orange, & brown), the seaside towels were only shipped on one order, therefore no money due, and the rug bath set only one set was delivered as well~ for a grand total of $131.98. I can't understand why I as a customer have to work many hours to research the incompetence of a large retail department store such as Kohl's when I am handicapped person with severe medical conditions not needing all the aggravation of being taking advantage of. A concerned customer.

Had large online order. Was sent in 3 packages. Did not receive one. Called and was credited amt. then re-ordered and charged for those items same as credited amount. So far ok. When received bill the amount was still included in large order listing and also charged as separate charge. When I called to have double charge removed was told was taken off. When I explained it was still on original charge was told it was taken off. I asked them to total remaining items and they would see it hadn't been.
Talked to 8 different people and was on phone for 2 1/2 hours. No one was able/willing to check wrong amount. One said calculator was not working. Then was told trying to get items for free. Not true. Paid 2 times for them. I have been a loyal customer of Kohl's for years. I will no longer recommend them to friends and family. I have posted this to social media sites to warn others. Not only did I lose money but was treated very badly. Terrible online customer service!!

I asked to speak with a higher up or a manager and she stated that she is the higher up. There's no one else higher but the CEO and he won't speak to me. Everything goes through her.
This person needs to be demoted and or the CEO to step down and get someone with experience. I'm actually surprised at how horrible Kohl's is, at least placing an order from their website. It has all turned out to be a very frustrating experience. Placed an order for an item on a wedding registry. Just before finalizing the order I wanted to make sure it was being shipping to the wedding couple and not me. I clicked on the shipping tab for the order and it showed... their name and info. I then tried to go back to finishing the order and I couldn't. I had to start over. Entered all the info again. It asked me to provide an email address. I did and it said I had an account and needed to log in. I logged in and of course had to go thru the entire order process for the third time. Took me 30 to 40 mins to order an item but I got it ordered.
Next day received an email showing that it was being shipped to my house and not the wedding couple. Went to the website and did the 'chat'. After talking to the person at least 15 mins he confirmed that it had been shipped to the wrong address but said there was nothing he could do and I'd need to call the customer service dept. I called and evidently they have outsourced it to India. Could hear what sounded like hundred of people talking in the background. Also every time I spoke I heard my echo... really bad. The lady told me a mistake had been made and that it was too late to cancel it and I asked if I could just reorder it and return the first one when it came to my house. She said she didn't have the address in the wedding registry and had no way to get it. She also said I couldn't reorder it from the registry since it was now showing as purchased. She gave me no option to solve anything.
Afterwards went to Kohl's website to complain about the entire thing... could not find a link. Finally found a link and on the page it sent you to it asked what the problem was about and wanted you to enter your name and email address. I did all that and clicked on the 'Go' button and it would just take me back to this same page asking me to enter my name, email address etc. It was just a loop. Horrible, horrible. Surprisingly horrible and I have to think experiencing this that this company is on the way down and probably out if they can't fix this mess. Horrible website and then incompetence. I will definitely stay away from this place in the future.

I placed an order to purchase the Apple Watch Series 2 on Monday night (April 24, 2017). Right away my order was cancelled and advised to call into Kohl's customer care. I called right away and the rep I spoke with advised that the purchase was larger than I normally make online so it was cancelled. She asked if I approved the purchase and then said that she would have the rep that cancelled the purchase push it through. That was LIE #1.
The next morning (Tuesday, April 25, 2017) I still had not received an email confirming the purchase. I again called and spoke with a different rep that was very helpful but it took over 30 minutes to get the order pushed through. She thought it was weird that I was told someone else was going to push it through when it sounded like that rep should have done it herself. She offered to give me a discount due to the troubles and then said that I was not able to get the discount due to the product. She then advised that she would have it shipped and delivered to me by today (Wednesday, April 26, 2017). She advised this several times. That was LIE #2. I thanked her for the kind gesture, especially since I was not expecting any compensation. All day today I have been telling everyone how a negative experience was turned into such a positive experience and that when I get home today I should have my new Apple watch.
I get home from work today to find the shipping information and it will not be getting delivered today. Why lie and why make promises that are not intended to be kept. Honesty is the best way to handle things. I will be writing negative reviews everywhere that I am able to and filing a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General.

I called their customer service and was told this is their policy and when I pick up the order, which I did on the same day, the new charge of $46.18 will then be charged to my bank. This didn't happen. So the $59.42 x2 is still pending and holding my available funds for 72 hours. I am creating this complaint so the public is aware of the awful experience I have had attempting to resolve an issues with the Kohl's company. In February of 2015 I was notified by my credit report that I had an unpaid late charge on my Kohl's account. I had purchased some items from Kohl's during a tumultuous time in my life. We were moving, we were getting ready for our first child, and my grandfather had just passed. Usually if I have items that are unpaid, I would get an invoice, a phone call, letter, something to let me know I had unpaid items. I received absolutely nothing. The only notification I received was from Equifax months later telling me I was charged 30 days late on my Kohl's. I have never been late with any payment in my life. I was complete shocked, and called Kohl's immediate to pay off the entire amount. I couldn't believe that there was no notification from Kohl's about this charge.
My wife and I are attempting to purchase a home, but this negative mark has stopped us from getting a rate that we can afford. This will ultimately stop our chances from getting our home. I have never had a late payment with Kohl's other than this one (or any other company I've dealt with). This occurred during a very stressful time in my life, but regardless of this one time mistake, the Kohl's company has not been accommodating. Everyone makes mistakes, and I could completely understand if I was a repeat offender, but I am not. It was an honest and simple one time mistake.
I have asked Kohl's for forgiveness, but they are not interested in excusing a long time, loyal customer. I find this very odd since all other companies are aware mistakes can happen, and are usually open to working with the client to forgive a one time event like this. I find it selfish and greedy that there is no way to come to an agreement. This is why I am starting a universal ban on Kohl's stores, asking everyone out on all social media sites to join me.

I decided to buy my daughter's Easter dress offline because I couldn't find anything in the stores. I ordered a pretty coral color dress. I placed my order on Thursday night April 6 and didn't receive the item until April 14 which was the schedule delivery date two days before Easter. When I got home from work I knew the dress should be at my house. Got home and my daughter was so happy to finally get her dress. When I picked up the bag I knew it felt too light but I just let that pass and figured they had it wrap tight. When I opened the package it was a man's shirt, nothing I ordered.
I called Customer Service and the woman said to send it back and they will get the dress out to me. How? I told her, "I don't want the dress anymore." I needed the dress for Easter in two days. They can keep the dress so I asked, "How do I send the item back so I can get my money back?" She asked if there was a store I could go to. I told her, "No, there is no store near me." (Kohl's is about 30 minutes away from my house. I not driving to that far in traffic, wasting gas, and they're not going to reimburse me for my gas).
So she said I could ship it back FedEx or DHL. So I asked, "If I ship it back will I have to pay for shipping?" She didn't sound too sure but just said I would get my money back for the dress and shipping and handling. (No miss I'm not paying for any shipment when this was my mistake.) I'm send the dress back tomorrow and I'll see if they try to charge. But what I don't understand is that I order a child's dress. How did you get a man's shirt out of that? Not only that if you go any department store men clothes is not near girl clothes. So disappointed and will not buy another thing from their store again online or in-store.

I went on the website to chat with someone from Kohl's regarding a price adjustment. I have done this in the past and had no problems. In fact it was a pleasant experience before anyway. I purchased a crib and a mattress, a present for our new grandchild, our first grandchild to be exact. I set it up to be delivered to our daughter whom lives in another state. This is one of the reasons I purchased online so that I would not have to worry about sending a gift to her.
In the past I have had wonderful experience purchasing online and reliable delivery of what was purchased. Anyway on to my disappointing experience with Kohl's. The two items I purchased went on sale the next day so I went on the website to talk to someone about getting an adjustment. I was informed that because the item I ordered was exclusive item, it was not eligible for price matching - this is actually what was said to me from Tim at Kohl's whom lied to me about his supervisor, told me it was a male and then gave me the name of a woman.
For those of you unfamiliar with Kohl's the reward points offered are equivalent to $5.00. That is what my loyalty is worth to Kohl's. I am so disappointed in Kohl's and I will no longer shop online with them and at this time I am not sure I will shop or do as much shopping as I have in the past. I have just placed a second order with kohls.com, which was rejected. The reason? My billing address is my home, but the shipping address is my job. Why is this an issue in the 21st century? To their credit, the two reps I spoke with in Customer Service and Fraud Protection did their best to rectify the situation. However, for the second time in less than one month, this led me to not place my order again because the main item I wanted sold out (within not even 8 hours), and their antiquated internal system could not tell them or me when (or if) it would return. The only way they or I would be able to confirm is to keep checking kohls.com, which is highly inefficient. I had the same experience with another order last month.
It is a shame that in this day and age, their online vs brick-and-mortar experience is highly disjointed. The fact that a Fraud Protection rep had to have a conference call with the Customer Service rep and me to document in my account the reason for two different addresses is unacceptable. Their website has a clearly-marked option to use if your shipping address is different from billing, but the execution of said option apparently does not translate to the back end. They did offer me a 20% discount on a future order, which I indicated would be highly unlikely to occur. Even utilizing this will be difficult - to use it in store, the cashier has to call a special number and speak to an online Customer Service Manager to activate the discount.
My local stores always have horrendous queues, whether with a regular cashier or with Customer Service; what should be a simple activation of a discount from their own corporate office opens up the possibility of creating a negative impact to any customers who are unfortunate enough to be waiting in line behind me. If you've made it this far in my review, I'm sure you're wondering why I just don't shop exclusively in store. This is because their stock of plus-size (a term that I think should be eliminated) items are well-made and the selection is more robust online; they do have good prices when they have sales. However, I've tried numerous times to see if an item online was available in store, but they are often not (not even within a 100+ mile radius). Once (or in this case, twice) bitten, twice shy. I no longer am looking forward to utilizing their website, and will shift my money and focus to stores where I can pick up items in person.

As I was looking for the right size a 49+ year old worker excused herself as she started throwing belts on the floor to organize and add more. I then moved to the other side to see the selection there but she followed and pulled those belts as well. Never asked if I needed help. I assumed it was a one time Incident and left. At least she was polite and said, "Excuse me but I have to get these moved." I couldn't believe it happened a second time.
One last try!!! Hesitated going in... So to be honest was probably looking for something to go wrong. As always clerks asking if in need help as they are moving by at the sound of light, or clearly busy pointing, "Over there ma'am..." As they stock it push carts. I needed shoes and thought this has to be an easy purchase. Sizes and styles were all messed up... Walked all over to find out if someone could see if the shoes I wanted were in stock... I tried to use a $12 REWARD card yesterday and it was turned down at the register. I tried several times, then left the merchandise there. When I got home I called the number again and it said I had $12 on the card. I went back to the store today to use it, and it said there was $0.00 on the card, so I left the merchandise again. I called several numbers, listened to computer generated voices, then finally got a human. They gave me the OTHER number. I called them, and it said I had to call the first number! I was back and forth with calls, but no help. I talked to several workers and they said the card was used at a boutique in CA. I looked up their website and it was for young teens. I am senior citizen. I did not use it.
I thought someone could just re-issue the $12, but no one would do that. I tried the lost or stolen site and it didn't take my information. I have spent 2 full days, 2 trips to town to the Kohls, and numerous hours on the phone with NO help. Everyone keeps passing me to other numbers, but no help. I'm just going to give up, which is what Kohls probably wanted in the first place since they now have my $12 and didn't have to give me my merchandise.

I absolutely cannot believe how long it has taken me to return two pieces of defective wall art to Kohl's. Just got off the phone with my leasing office for the ninth time because UPS won't pick up the packages because Kohls.com hasn't sent the shipping label. This is after two months worth of phone calls to Kohl's requesting the labels, every single time they tell me that the labels have been sent to UPS. If I ship them back another way, they will charge me. I cannot believe the lack of brain cells that the Kohl's employees I have spoken with have.
I wanted ONE piece of wall art -- it came broken. I ordered it in late December. I attempted to ship it back and it's STILL sitting in my leasing office. The replacement I ordered came broken in the EXACT same way. Now that one, as well, is just sitting there, waiting to be picked up. What do I do? Ship it myself and pay? Yeah right. Call Kohls.com and ask them to create the UPS return label? I'VE DONE THAT 13 YES 13 TIMES!!! Holy **. I cannot believe how ludicrous this is... DO NOT ORDER FROM KOHLS.COM.

I have had two problems recently. Just like a previous reviewer, I had an extremely aggressive sales clerk who did not even ask if I wanted a credit card. After he rang me up, he shoved the application and pen at me. I asked if it was a credit card application and he said yes. I told him I did not want that. He said to go ahead and get the credit card, and just pay it off all at once. I couldn't believe it.
My second problem is that this week I had two different reps at their call center tell me two completely different things about the status of my online order. My order status said the package could not be delivered. So the first rep said she had it "intercepted" and it would be redelivered. She confirmed that it was definitely NOT going back to Kohl's, and I would get the order. When nothing changed on the status, the next day I called and the 2nd rep said it WAS going back to Kohl's. What's worse, she said there was no record of what the previous rep said about intercepting the order, and all that showed on my order was a "note" saying that I had called about it.

I just spent an hour on the phone with Kohl's. There was a charge on my card that I never made. I was transferred a number of times, repeating the same info all the way, hung up on due to bad connections, constantly asked to repeat my account number, only to be placed on hold so as to repeat my account number for the next gal -- who I couldn't understand. I was given another number to call whereupon I had to answer survey ?'s -- tons of them, before I could speak to a real person. This, compounded by their horrific online return policy, is why my Kohl's card lies in a heap of cut up slices. You do not deserve my business any longer. Goodbye Kohl's.

I had no record of using it, so made a complaint to Kohl's and they say it was used at their North Chesterfield store. I could barely understand their service representatives (with their heavy accents) and they all told me, "Don't worry - it'll probably show up eventually". October 11th 2016 I placed an order with Kohl's over the phone with a "sugar sweet" agent using my Kohl's cash. After a few minutes I received an email saying it was cancelled. I called their 800 number again and placed the same order again with another "honey sweet" agent. While trying to place the second order the agent told me she cannot use the Kohl's cash I used for the previous order which was immediately cancelled as it has not been returned back and it may take up to 48 hours for it to be returned. I could use only $112 out of the $900 I had in Kohl's cash. The second order went thru shipped and delivered but from that day till today my Kohl's cash of $787 was never returned to me.
I kept calling Kohl's 800 number but every time I was told that this is not the right concerned department and I was transferred to all kinds of departments among which none had the authority to issue my credit back to me. I was asked to file a complaint online which I did and after a few refuels I got an email saying "The credit is approved and has been mailed out to you" and I will receive it within 30 days. Nothing ever arrived. In one email they are saying the credit will be issued in email and other email saying credit will be sent in mail. I really don't want to think this way but it is forcing me to think that it was a corporate level fraud, they try not to send customer's credits. Please also note here that according to the emails Kohl's team has completed their investigation and approved my credit.
Here are some reference numbers I want to provide which are of the conversations I had with various customer service associates at different times who kept rolling me to other departments and finally after 3-4 hours of staying on the phone with them the line gets disconnected. ** 3rd November 2016 **. From October till January (3 months) I kept emailing and calling Kohl's asking about my money but every agent had his own story. I had no choice but to believe each of them, spent hours each time without any result. I felt like begging for my own money from a bunch of frauds. Among the many conversations I had with their 800 number team one of the incident happened on 9th January 2017 the agent told me that since we are 2 days short of the 30 day time period I should have received my credit so if I call in 2 days he will be able to issue me credit over the phone.
Again I had no choice but to believe him and after more than 2 days when I called Kohl's 800 number the agent I was transferred to told me that this previous agent didn't know anything about the system and there is no way I can be issued credit over the phone and now the new story is blah blah blah. I spent a few hours again being thrown to one department and the other and finally I had to hang up as I had other things to do too. NO SOLUTION STILL. 16th January 2017 I gathered some courage and called again and this time employee # ** (later I was told by another agent that this number is not correct) told me he can help me place an order over the phone with the $787 and this way we will get rid of this problem and I will get some stuff from my long lost credit. I cannot describe the level of my happiness here. Together we placed order # **.
Additionally he told me he is making sure everything is ok and there is no chance anything wrong happens to this order, it will go thru etc etc. Also I asked him to add a note to my case that in case this order fails Kohl's still owes me $787 and the incident I have filed should not be considered closed. He read the note to me and I thought finally I found my angel now. Reference # **. After a few hours I received an email saying "SORRY WE COULDN'T COMPLETE ORDER". There were tears in my eyes now.
Although things seemed very dark I still gathered some more courage and called Kohl's after one day 18th January. With all sorts of apologies this agent said, "I can help you reorder," and we did it and this time he said, "I have contacted the fraud department and blah department and blah department and everything is clear so no worries, it will go thru." Reference # ** order # ** was placed and immediately got an email "SORRY WE COULDN'T COMPLETE ORDER". I was baffled, still didn't give up. Called again and was sent to fraud department, they clearly told me that even if they will try placing an order worth $1 it will be cancelled, they didn't tell me the reason why. Upon my begging and inquiring the lady agent transferred me to another department without any reason (probably just to get me off her head) and then from this department to that department.
I had to explain my story at least 15 times to all sorts of people till I was handed over to a lady in front of whom I started crying like a baby. Probably she got sympathetic and connected me to her supervisor who instantly gave me his name and personal extension number and told me he is connecting me to the "RELEVANT" department who will definitely take care of me and meanwhile if I ever have any problems I can use any Kohl's 800 or non 800 numbers and request for this extension to talk to him. The name he told me was Reed and extension **. I was then rolled to another department who again asked me all my information, incident story, apologized and put me on hold to investigate the already investigated incident. Anyways, as I said before, did I have another choice?? No.
Now there was another twist in the story, the lady associate said, "Since this is a lot of money we are doubting if how you earned this much Kohl's cash." I must provide the receipt of the items I bought which made me earn this money. I was totally disgusted, instead of easing a customer whom your company has been torturing for months you guys are suspecting as fraud and making me do another exercise to prove I did not forge this Kohl's cash??? Again had I any choice? No. I started looking all over my house for those receipts which sadly I couldn't find. Meanwhile she decided she was not the "RELEVANT" department and now she had to roll me to corporate which according to her was the supreme authority to issue my million dollars credit. I said, "Ok."
I don't know what was that relevant department as I was rolled to a computer machine saying press 1 if you want to speak to an operator (after I pressed 1 several times the same recording continued) enter the extension if you have (when I entered the extension of Mr Reed the machine said it is incorrect!!!). After about 10 minutes of this pressing game I had no choice but to hang up and try my luck from all over again. I went online and figured out the phone number of their corporate department and called them. Tried to put Mr Reed's extension but no luck, eventually ended up with the most ill-informed lady agent I have had encountered. After asking my information for the 20th time this one day 18th January, she went thru my case and somehow found a note saying the decision has been made today at 2:39 pm by Anthony ** and my credit has been mailed to me.
Now this seemed to be a big joke. If the decision was made at 2:39 why none of the agents saw it in notes whom I spoke to after 2:39 pm. How would I have trusted this. And even if I had trusted her what is the guarantee the money will actually be received? As this promise and decision was made earlier in November too. I asked her to give me something at least to keep a record of this decision. She said she has no authority to send me any email but she will ask the department who made his decision to send me an email (No email was ever received). Name of this lady was Martika **. This conversation ended 5:27 pm. As I insisted I want some evidence right now she decided to throw me off her head and transferred me to the "RELEVANT" Department.
This department asked me my information for 22nd time and started their investigation, meanwhile after about half hour of this the call went to another agent by itself who could not hear me and kept saying if he does not hear me in the next 30 seconds he has to drop the call. Drop the call, drop the call and it was hung up. By this time it was evening and I had to feed dinner to my kids and I had to give a pause to this calling game. Can I get some actual help? Can someone be fair to me and give my money back to me?? Awaiting easy justice.

I called the customer service and was told to be refunded via mail within two weeks. After two weeks there was nothing in my mailbox so I called the customer again. Customer service told me he/she requested another gift card through mail. Similar story happened at least eight times. Until January of 2017, I called the customer service and this time the agent on the other side talked to the verification department for a while and told me your case was resolved, credit will be reversed to me.
The next day I found my gift card was canceled with the remaining balance cleared, with the total amount nearly 500 dollars. I called the customer service Andy. This time I was "fortunate" enough to be able to talk to someone in the fraud department. He told me placing an order with three gift cards of 3 sandals and 3 toothbrushes is very dubious so the fraud department thought it was a fraud transaction, so they decide to cancel my gift card. Why those hypocrites did not tell me at the very beginning to explain their decisions? Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot, Target, Walmart, Amazon never did that to their customers. I am quite sure even though merchants reserve the right to clear all member points that was considered against the rule, but I have never heard of any merchant cancel customer's gift cards.
Kohl's will make lots of money by merely cancel their customers' gift cards without any explanation. Once you are "fortunate" and "honorable" enough to be offered a chance talking to one of those bastards in so called fraud department you will be given an explanation. Do not make any online orders, be aware that your gift cards might be canceled to enrich their pockets.

Usually I say no to store cards because I almost always regret it later, but I said what the heck because my cousin was with me and encouraged me to get the discount. It was NOT worth it. Now I have a ding on my credit report and I closed the account because I was really angry at them. I have a very sick husband and we had to go 1300 miles away for treatment. I got the Kohl's card but had not activated it before I left. I gave the clerk a credit card (not a debit card) and assumed the purchase would be charged to that. The clerk NEVER told me it would be charged to the NEW card. I had no idea to even expect that. I paid my other credit cards using my phone while I was away for 2 months, but had no idea I owed the other one any money. Their calls to my home never got through to me as I was not there.
When I got back I saw they dinged my credit report. I was furious and called and paid the stupid $110 bill and canceled the card (without EVER having activated it). Their customer service said all stores do that when you open a charge. I opened a charge while away at another store similar to Kohl's and they did NOT do that. They charged it to my existing card and said they would send me the new card, which is what I expect.
I was a Kohl's customer from the start, but I will never step foot into one of their stores again. They would not fix my credit report and basically blame me and said they did everything right, but they didn't. Their clerk should have told me it was being charged to the NEW card, not the other (existing) credit card I gave her, so I would have expected a bill and I could have had my son pay it while I was away. I am DONE with Kohl's. Never again. There are plenty of better places I can shop. The way they treat their customers I am surprised they stay in business.

I have several complaints from the last two months. First, I ordered a pearl necklace from Kohls.com. This was a gift, and when it was removed from the plastic bag in which it was shipped, all of the pearls fell in the floor. I called Kohl's because none of the local stores had it in stock. They told me that I would need to purchase a new one online and then I could return the other one to my local store. That sounded great except I had earned $10 Kohl's cash on my previous purchase so my "refund" was to be reduced by that amount even though this was not really a return but rather an exchange of defective merchandise.
I had another issue with Kohl's cash as well. I had purchased $76 worth of items and I received $10 Kohl's cash which I redeemed later. I later decided to return a $15 item from the original order. Kohl's deducted $10 from my return and was offering me $5 back. I tried to explain that I shouldn't lose my Kohl's cash because my order that I kept was still above $50 but it was like I was speaking another language. Funny how Kohl's gave me no Kohl's cash for the $26 that exceeded the $50 threshold but still somehow felt justified in penalizing me for it. This also happens on items that you just need to exchange the sizes which should never happen. I understand if someone returns their items for cash, but not for exchanges. Kohl's cash could be a great incentive program for customers but instead the way that it is handled is making customers furious.

I ordered a fairly expensive hoverboard for Christmas for my 11 year old son. It was delivered to our back door in its original packaging & appeared to be new. I hid it & then wrapped it on Christmas Eve. The box stayed in a closet at our home, untouched by anyone in my household (my son was out of town the week before Christmas anyway). On Christmas morning, he opened the hoverboard and was really excited until we noticed scratches all over it. The plastic on the bottom was ground down as though a 250 pound person rode it in a parking lot every day for a year. There was grass in the label. I was mortified.
I have NEVER paid full price for a completely second hand item. I was instructed to return it to my local Kohl's, which I did. It could take a few days for the money to be returned to my account. So, now, on the day after Christmas, my son doesn't have a hoverboard & I don't have the money to go buy him a new one. I was wrong for trusting Kohl's & will never do so again. I got married and received many items at our wedding, we actually received a few duplicate gifts like a juicer from Kohl's that was $329. So of course we didn't want to ask our friends for the receipt so when we went to return it for store credit and get what we wanted. We were told that because of the amount of the item that they could not issue us merchandise credit in store and that it would have to be issued from the corporate office (I guess because of loss prevention measures, which I understand). So we had to give them a picture ID and our address for the return and 2 weeks later we received an envelope from the corporate office and inside was a gift card (merchandise credit) for $358.04 ($329.99 plus tax of $28.05) so now we were able to get what we wanted.
So after receiving the merchandise credit for $358.04, my wife went on a little shopping spree and got many things for our house. So after her shopping spree she decided that instead of keeping the other $329.99 juicer she would rather have the store credit so we took the juicer and a few other items back - the juicer $329.99, Calphalon 11-piece ceramic cookware set $349.99 and a toaster over $59.99. At first we looked for something in store that we could do an exact price exchange for like a Samsonite suitcase that was $349.99 (not many items in Kohl's that are $349.99) but we were about to go on our delayed honeymoon so we thought we would just exchange it for the suitcase that we saw online.
But they didn't have it in the particular store we were at in Raleigh, NC so we went ahead and returned the other items - the juicer and toaster oven (which we knew they would have to mail us the merchandise credit) and decided to hold on to the Calphalon set to go exchange it for the Samsonite luggage at another Kohl's in Raleigh which was only 8 miles away from the Kohl's we were at. (There are 9 Kohl's in a 30 mile radius in Raleigh.) So when we arrived at the other Kohl's they did not have the Samsonite either so we searched around for something in Kohl's that was exactly $349.99 (because of their policy) and since we couldn't find a item priced at $349.99 that we wanted we decided it would be easier to just return it and get the merchandise credit and order it online.
So to recap, we just returned 2 items at one store and went to another to see if they had the luggage we wanted (due to the fact that you have to do an even exchange and can't pay extra or exchange for more than 1 item). So if it wasn't for us trying to find the luggage at another store close by we would have returned all 3 at the one store. So we received the 2 merchandise credits from the first return in the mail and they gave us 1 card for $358.04 ($329.99 plus tax of $28.05) and the 2nd card for $65.09 ($59.99 plus tax $5.10). Now we thought the other card for $379.74 ($349.99 plus tax $29.75) would arrive the same day since we returned it the same day as the other two, but it didn't.
So 2 weeks pass and still no card and in this time frame, my boss invites us to his daughter's graduation party and for a graduation gift I thought it would be nice to give her one of the Kohl's gift cards we received. And to make an impression we gave her the big one of the two, the $358.04 one. (That way it didn't look weird giving her one for $65.04, lol!) If it was for $358.04 they would just be blown away at the amount vs. saying, "$64.05? That's a weird number." But here's where the story gets bad. I come to work one day (about a 4 days after my boss' daughter's graduation party) and my boss says to me, "Hey buddy, just wanted to say thanks again for giving my daughter that huge gift card, that was very generous of you and you really didn't have to do that." And I said, "It was our pleasure, I remember getting ready for my first year of college and it can be quite expense just buying things for your dorm room or apartment."
And he says, "It sure can! But hey, my daughter went to Kohl's and tried to use the card and the lady at the register said that she needed to call the 1-800 number and that there was a problem with the card. So my daughter called and they told her that there was a freeze on the card and that they needed to talk to me" and I told him that I was very sorry and that I would get to the bottom of this. First off, I can't begin to explain how embarrassing that was and second I was now very upset especially since I still had not received our other card.
So when I called I got questioned about why I had so many returns in a short period of time with no receipt and I told them it was because I just got married and didn't have the receipts and did not want to call my friends and family to ask for them. And they asked me why and that it wouldn't be embarrassing for them and then they asked why I had returned 2 items at one store and then made another return 2 hours later at another store. And I explained to them that they had a terrible policy of having to exchange the item for something else in the store of the exact same price and not a penny higher or penny lower and that I was trying to exchange for a Samsonite piece of luggage and they didn't have it at the one store and that hopefully they had it at the other Kohl's 8 miles away and when they didn't, I just opted to return it and get the store credit instead.
But they weren't buying my story and just kept grilling me as if I was some kind of thief. So then they informed me that if I didn't come up with the receipts that they were not going to reactivate the cards and even better that they were not going to send me my items back. So this got me very upset and in the meantime I went to Kohl's and bought a $400 gift card to give to my boss' daughter to save myself the embarrassment, but now I went from giving her a gift that cost me nothing to spending $400 of my own money. Now I had to call my friends and family and ask if they could send me the receipts for the items I had returned (embarrassment Number 2). So one of my friends sent me the receipt for the item (which I felt bad for returning his gift and also felt bad for creating work for him of having him mail me the receipt since he lives in another state).
Now here goes the good part, my friend who bought me the juicer, when I asked him if he could send me the receipt for the juicer he bought me from Kohl's he told me that he didn't buy it from Kohl's and that he found the same exact juicer they sold at Kohl's (same brand, model, etc. - identical) 25% cheaper online and that he could email me the receipt. So when I called Kohl's back up and told them that I had one of the receipts and that the other juicer wasn't even bought from their store and sent them the receipt and link of where my friend purchased it. So I told them that I would like my merchandise credit for the one and for them to send my other juicer back so I could return it back to the online store of where it was purchased and where I had a receipt to.
And this is the greatest part of the story, they told me that if I could not produce a receipt of where it was purchased from Kohl's that they were not going to send it back. And we argued back and forth and the end result was they deactivated my 2 merchandise credits they sent me and never sent the third one and kept all 3 of my items (the juicer $329.99, Calphalon 11-piece ceramic cookware set $349.99 and a toaster over $59.99). They basically stole the items from me after grilling me and me having a answer for all of their tough questions (and answers that made a ton of sense and making them realize they have a flaw in their system). But I can't tell you the hell they put me through, from the embarrassment and humiliation they caused me, calling me a thief (when I have a job as a financial advisor), costing me money ($400 I had to cover for my boss' daughter) and to top it all off they stole 3 of my wedding gifts.
So Kohl's return policy of high priced items or when you have over $300 dollars in returns with no receipt is a horribly structured policy. I understand that there are some people out there that these policy were made for, but me proving to them that I was just married and them not accepting the fact that people get gifts and that a red flag popped up on me when I made a return at another store 8 miles away and because of their exact price exchange policy that I went to the other store to see if they had a specific item or more items (because the 2nd store I went to was bigger than the 1st - one story building vs. 2 story building in a bigger/busier part of town) I just want my items back and can not believe that they can get away with not having to send the item back to the person.

I called Kohl's today because according to FedEx the item was delivered, but I did not get it. FIRST I did call FedEx and they said I had to call Kohl's. The man I spoke to had the nerve to tell me the following: maybe my husband was hiding it, I should open my eyes and go outside and look on the porch, maybe the driver hid it somewhere, I should walk around my neighborhood and see for I can find it. He even said to call the post office, why would I do that if it was sent via FedEx. I said that this is not how Kohl's treats its customers and he said well it is. So I paid for something I don't have and won't get and they will not do anything about it. The nerve of them to treat me that way! I did call back again and did a live chat and basically got the same thing, they don't care and aren't doing anything about it.

Ordered from Kohl's the morning of 12/15/16. Said would be delivered between 12/20 & 12/22. Sent me email confirming shipment on 12/18. After a few days I checked UPS tracking info: shipping label not even created until 10:30PM on 12/19. Worst part is it's 12/21, order not yet shipped and no explanation as to why. Call customer service. Speak with Miss Congeniality Pakistan. To make a long story short, she finally tells me my order has been cancelled. Great. I go online and find same gift cheaper elsewhere and order it to arrive after Christmas. Next day UPS delivers 1/2 of order from Kohl's (the order that had not been yet shipped).
Now I have to return at my expense after speaking with USA customer service (which I had to request special access to from Rasheed **). This whole debacle could have been avoided by not exposing me to 3rd world customer service who doesn't know what they're doing and further more doesn't care. I ordered a ring from Kohl's on Nov. 23. My tracking information showed that it would be delivered to me on Dec. 2. On Dec. 2, when I did not receive the package, I checked the tracking info again. It showed in tracking that a label had been created, but it appeared the package had never left Kohl's shipping department. I immediately got online and did the live chat session. I asked the attendant why was the package still sitting there when it was due to arrive to me that day. She looked into it and told me that my order had been canceled for some unknown reason by Kohl's. I was really upset that they had canceled my ordered, but the payment was deducted from my banking account. But, at that time I did still have time to get the ring if they would fix this error.
The attendant told me that they would have to issue a refund for the order and that I would need to place another order for the ring. She then explained that it would take 7 days to receive the refund. I started to panic, knowing that would put me around Dec. 9, being able to place the order again. She advised me to speak with a customer service agent and gave me the number. I did call and talk to an agent. Absolutely no help at all. And honestly, somewhat abrupt to my situation. He told to just place another order (which I would have to pay for the item again) and I would get my original $823.00 credited back to my account in the 7 days. Thank God I did not!!! Because it is Dec. 22 and I have yet to receive my money back... I have done numerous chat sessions and each time the attendant would look into it and tell me to rest assured that I would get my money credited back. And always asking for me to be patient.
In the meanwhile, a package did come from Kohl's around Dec. 7 or 8th. I was somewhat amazed that it did come since I had been told my order had been canceled and I did not place another order for it. But... I was happy... at least I was happy until I opened the box. I opened to box only to find a packing slip for the ring. No Ring. No Ring Box. No Anything... just a packing slip. Now, needless to say, all kind of thoughts were running through my head, but I tried to remain calm and I got back online and told another attendant what I had received. Again, I was told that I was to receive a credit for the item and to just be patient. Each attendant was very nice, other than the one I spoke with on the phone. But, unfortunately, I still have not gotten this resolved.
My last conversation was Tuesday, Dec. 20, with the live chat. And still, I'm being told the credit is being issued. But I was also told that Kohl's was waiting a response from the vendor. Not sure why I was told this. I made the purchase from Kohl's. The issue between Kohl's and its vendor should not be my problem. Kohl's should make this right, and then resolve any vendor issue without me suffering. This was a Christmas gift, and I am down to the wire. I have to go out and make a purchase to replace it, and Kohl's is dragging their feet getting me my money back. I have never encountered such an issue in my entire life. I just can't see it being that hard to resolve this problem.
I'm furious and will never order one thing from Kohl's again. And more than likely, never step foot into one of their stores. This has been a pure nightmare... and all I am getting is "Please be patient." I've been more than patient. Stayed in contact with them to be sure it didn't slide through the cracks. Since this was a good sum of money, I have no choice but to pursue legal action. WOW. Thank you Kohl's for such a great experience.

To give you an example I bought a game that was originally priced at $29.99 for 50% off plus the 20% discount ending up at around $12.00, great deal, right? I go online and that's around the price Target sells it full price. It was that way for each item. When I called 866-887-8844 the first person did not even tried to help, he asked me to go to a nearest store and return the item and that he will cancel my order so I could get the credit for it. I was not satisfied therefore I called again. The second time I called a lady name Besabell didn't even got close to help me when she heard how frustrated I was, turned to be rude and she transferred me to the satisfaction survey. Of course I took the survey and picked one as completely unsatisfied.
On my third call I spoke to Victor who all through my frustrations listened to me and explained that my desired item was not in stock anymore. He offered a refund to my card in the next week? That being said, today, we had to return a drone type product that my husband bought that was defective. Neither one of us really wanted to go to Kohl's a week before Christmas because we've been shopping there long enough to know that the line to check out is ALWAYS 4 miles long. Which is awesome for Kohl's and hope the business continues to thrive. The line was long and she opened up to help us. Even got my husband to open an account, which is something I've not been able to do for years. She was extremely helpful and very informative.
By far, the best, most accommodating store employee I've met thus far during the Christmas season. I placed an order a few weeks ago and received the wrong item. I wanted to exchange it for the right item and it has proven to be incredibly frustrating. Since this has happened, I have had to go through two chats, two visits to the store, and two phone calls and still ended up having to pay more than I initially did just to get it corrected. (Originally, it cost $20 and I received $2 back. I had to pay for it again when they ordered it on the phone for $15 -- so with what I've received back versus what I had to pay again, I've paid $13 more for the same set of goods. I had redeemed the Kohl's Cash on a subsequent order and I understand the return policy of Kohl's that it needs to be deducted so people aren't pocketing artificial dollars, but in this case I'm penalized for doing a flat exchange).
Throughout this process I was assured the store could do this for me and if not to call back. There are multiple incident numbers in my name and I was told my account was notated I would get the full refund/equal exchange. This is terrible customer service and I am reluctant to order from Kohl's again. Had it been my mistake and I had ordered the wrong size or color, I would accept responsibility for it. Kohl's is not doing the same and has penalized me financially for their error. I ordered a Dallas Cowboy ornament during the Black Friday sale and it was broken in 3 pieces when I received it. I called Kohls.com CS and the person who helped (or didn't help) told me I needed to take the item back to my local store and told me 3 times my store would have a replacement item for me. The reason I questioned him 3 times was because we live in California and they typically don't carry Dallas Cowboy items. Of course when we get there, nope, not only did they NOT have the item, they and any nearby store never ordered the item. Yup, just like I thought.
I also placed an ordered for over $100 of Keurig coffee on Cyber Monday. The order was split into 2 deliveries and on the second, I received a pair of $60 shoes with my 2 boxes of coffee. The shoes weren't on the invoice, so if I was not the honest person I am, I could have kept them and sold them and made money. When I told the CS rep about the shoes in the same conversation about the ornament, there was no "thank you" for telling us, he told me I also needed to take them to a Kohl's store.
So I had to wait 15-20 minutes in a Kohl's return line for an online order issue that WASN'T my fault. So stupid. The CS rep at the store told me I then needed to call Kohls.com to get another ornament sent to us. Easier said than done. The first person needed me to repeat the same thing at least 4 times and then got sarcastic with me telling me she needed my cooperation for solve this problem. I then asked for a supervisor and was transferred to another rep who wouldn't transfer me to a supervisor without giving her ALL my information. At that point, NO I didn't want to give her my email address and asked for a supervisor AGAIN. I then got hung up on but was transferred to a survey where she got the worst survey possible.
I called back AGAIN and asked right away to talk to a supervisor and to my surprise, was transferred right away. What??? He didn't need all my info which means the previous rep was just being a total witch. I finally talked to a nice supervisor who told me that all the calls were recorded so he would find the reps that treated me so badly and they would be talked to. He then apologized a couple times and sent me the item at a discount with free expedited shipping.
It honestly takes A LOT to upset me and I was in shock that 3 different CS reps treated me so horribly. I will be calling corporate on Monday to further file a complaint because as it stands right now, I will never shop Kohls.com again. When I called the first time, I was expecting to get a return label or something for the broken item and the shoes that I never paid for or ordered. We shop online especially around this time as the stores are SO busy. Kohl's really needs to do an overhaul on the online CS. I would have given them a 0 stars if it was possible.

It took a few minutes to get a live person on the line, but the lady was super nice and said it would take a few minutes to get it all sorted out. I advised I was in a hurry and I could just call back. I had the item and order # and price difference, etc. on hand and it was all discussed w/ her. I wrote down all the numbers we discussed. She said she would be happy to sort through it all and call me back shortly, to which I replied, "that would be great!" That was a few weeks ago and shame on me I forgot to write down the date that I called, with all the other information I had written down. I sat down this am to pay my Kohl's bill and realized she had never returned my call.
I called customer service today and the 1st question I asked when I got someone on the phone was, "what notes do you have in the system from my previous phone call?" They had no record of me calling, i.e.: no notes, no record, nothing. I re-explained the situation and she said she'd need to connect me with another department. I went through the entire conversation all over again, with someone I had a really hard time understanding. She connected me with someone else, who ultimately said she was going to connect me with her supervisor. I asked if that would be an immediate connection b/c at this point I had been on the phone for 55 minutes and was tired of retelling my story and being switched to different departments. She assured me it was an immediate connection.
20 minutes of waiting went by and I decided to call from another phone line. I got online with another person and started all over. I let her hear that I was still on hold with Kohl's on another phone line - still waiting for that "immediate connection" with a supervisor. 1 hour 25 minutes and 40 seconds into my original phone call, it just disconnected and started making a busy signal. I told the girl I was on the phone with at the time and let her hear what was now a busy signal. She was sorry just like everyone else that I talked to, but no action was being taken. I was so so so frustrated. However, a service guy was at my house and commented to me, "you are the most patient woman I know. If I was on that phone call I'd be cussing them out." This was b/c you could obviously tell I was frustrated but I was trying really hard to keep being nice. I just wanted some resolve.
So then, surprise surprise, she connected me with her supervisor, who said they had no record of my original call and now it's past the 14 day adjustment date, so one thing he did know for sure was that there was absolutely no way at all that I would get an adjustment. He said he would get the IT department to look into and see if they could trace a call. I asked him what would happen when the IT department found the call? He said he would be sure that customer service gets more training, but if they gave me an adjustment it would open up the door for the policy to be broken on other customers as well and they just won't do that. Are you kidding me? I will NEVER shop at Kohl's again. Oh, and the 2nd phone call was 1 hour and 2 minutes. So a total of 2 hours and 27 minutes spent dealing with this today. Lesson learned! When the merchandise from my first order came, they were either damage or the material was of low quality. I decided to return the damaged and low quality items from the first purchase. $30 was taken off the total that was supposed to credit back to my CC.
When the items from my second order came, they were not damage but they were of low quality for the price. I returned them all. Instead of getting $144 credit back to my account, I only get $114 back. My other $30 was refunded in the form of Kohl's cash with an expiration date. What was supposed to be a gift now became a penalty. It seems to me to be a scam disguised as Kohl's cash gift. It is my fault to not read their policy on Kohl's cash. But no other department store pull this kind of scam. For example, JCPenney would refund all my money regardless I used their $10 or $20 gift or not. I would not recommend Kohl's to anyone.

I placed an online order on 11/23. The entire order has been received. However, the Kohl's Cash has been stolen. It was emailed to me and I had until 12/5/16 to use it. On 12/5 I logged into my Kohl's account to find out of $45, I only had $4.30 left. After a 45 minute phone call and numerous emails in the last week, I found that the majority of it was used at a store in Las Vegas and a small amount used at a store in Henderson, NV. Kohl's said there is nothing they can do and I need to contact the 2 stores to find out who used it. To my knowledge my Kohl's charge account nor my email account have been compromised. I feel this is something Kohl's needs to resolve. If the items from the order weren't wrapped already for Christmas, I would return them all. Anyone have any address at Kohl's so I can speak to someone that will help me other than the front line customer service people that just keep apologizing but not doing anything about it.

Made a purchase on Black Friday online, purchased a ring. Of course I got the Kohl's Cash the most you get all year. I purchased a ring, PS4, and some boots. The PS4 and boots shipped within the first 2 days. The ring shipped a week later. You have an expiration to spend your Kohl's Cash. I literally waited until the deadline. I had 375.00 in Kohl's Cash and I certainly did not want to lose it!! The issue was I had not received my whole order. I went ahead and made additional purchases with my Kohl's Cash. The two days after my Kohl's Cash would have expired. I get the ring, it doesn't fit, the quality is horrible. So I take it to my local Kohl's to return it.
Now, I know they deduct your Kohl' Cash. So when she told me the amount was 300 less I would receive I was not surprised. But, this is what I am upset about!! I would have liked my full refund, so I asked "if I brought all the items back, including the items I purchased with Kohl's Cash, could I get a full refund?" She said "NO, whatever you purchased with Kohl's Cash will be refunded with Kohl's Cash." But, they took 300.00 in cash from me!!! And I didn't even get my ring until after my Kohl's Cash was expired and had I not used it, I would have lost out on it altogether!! So, had I brought all the items back I would have gotten my cash plus Kohl's Cash to used in their store, which I will not be going to again!! All I wanted was a full refund!!
When I mentioned that the Kohl's Cash was expiring before I even got my ring to know that I was returning it, she said "well how is Kohl's to know how long it takes for an item to get there?" So fix it!!! If you make a purchase online Kohl's how about you make the expiration of the Kohl's Cash longer... Like after they get their items!! If you purchase in store then keep it the same!! I kept the ring and sold it online for what I paid!! But, it's sad that they wouldn't let me return all items to get all my cash back, instead they would rather lose a customer!!

I have pictures of damaged item and bag it came in but says 2 items included which way no could 2 items come in the bag shipped in! Called online customer care and simply asked to return via mail damaged item and want a reship of the item along with the other one not received! Was treated rudely, hung up on, over a period of 2 hours! Was told to return the damaged item to local store (when you order online does that mean you didn't want to physically go to store by the way) and they would credit my account! It's a scam so they don't have to offer you their percentage off items on sales!

Ordered a pair of Columbia Bugaboot Neo Mid Omni Heat Men's Waterproof Winter boots for my husband. Cyber Monday the item was ordered online and set to ship to my home. Days later received my order - excited to receive. Opened the box and inside was a completely different pair of boots. The serial number did not match the boot box. Boot box matched my order - but the actual boots were way wrong. I called the customer service number - they told me to take it back to a store near me. I called my local store and they advised me that they could refund me but that the actual boots were internet only order and they are completely sold out. I purchased these with Kohl's cash and my own cash - so I will be stuck having to pick something else out in store - and not what I put my money towards. Very upset. When I called the customer service person back they told me that I had no other option.

I order a hover board from kohls.com on 11/26/16. The website kept freezing and the order didn't go thru until after midnight. So when I called Kohls.com they said I couldn't get the $15 per $50 spent in kohl's cash so I said I wanted to cancel the order. The rep said it was too late, I would have to wait for it to come and take back to the store. OK, so the next I see it still pending so I call back and ask again if the order can be canceled.
They again say "Wait until it comes and return to the store for a full refund." OK fine. I'll wait. So on 12/3 I check my email and see it says the toy was delivered on 12/2 and left on my front porch so I go outside, look around. I check with my neighbors, I even go online and track it. It shows it was left on the front porch. I call Kohls.com and let them know I didn't get the toy. The rep say "ok. I'm sorry, I'll open up a case. We'll look into it." So a few day go by I call again. They are still reviewing it, that's fine.
So on 12/6/16 I call again and talk a rep. She states that I will have my credit of $322.49 back to my mom's account by Friday 12/9, no later than 12/12/16. Ok that's great. My mom says "call today to check," so I call. I was told that it will take 2/3 weeks for them to hear back from the carrier. I said "ok, I wasn't told that." But what happens after that the rep then say "well if we don't hear from the carrier then we will reach out to them again and it will be another 2/3 weeks." I said that is unacceptable and who is paying the bill while this is being reviewed because we aren't. I said "we have never been late on our Kohl's charges and we both have one." Kohl's online is the worst!!! I will NEVER order anything else from them and I'm telling everyone not to buy anything from KOHLS.COM ever again...

So a few days I called back and a lady answered the phone and told me the Nike shoe was sold out, but massager is still available. She can still place order for the massager. So she ask me to give her the credit information, I gave her the card number and she told me the order is completed now and should be here in 3-4 days. However, I waited 10 days and they had never ship to me, and I called. A lady answer the phone and told me that order didn't go through because they didn't take my email.
I need to get a new email address in order to complete the order so I have to "build" a new email and give to her. Finally she complete my order. She told me they will ship to me in 3-4 business, however, I got a email from them again said the order is not complete yet so I call them again. Finally he said "everything sounds good." He need to transfer me back to the customer several. After few minutes a lady answer the phone and told me "our computer is down, you need to call back in couple hour." I spent at least 5 hours and talk to at least 15 people, still not complete the order (when I call they always ask me to hold to speak to different people, I have to speak to several people every time I called). I have been shopping at Kohl's for nearly 10 years. NO LONGER. My nightmare started on 11/27 when their website crashed and I had to go back in and reorder my items. I find out later the original order went through. In the meantime I had changed my email address as my previous one was no longer accessible. Their claim of "No Hassle Returns" is outright false. I spent 45 minutes on the phone on 12/6 (my second call) first with Jaya then Adele. They finally TOLD ME OUTRIGHT they would issue me a call tag to return the items since the nearest store is over an hour away from me. I kept waiting for me label to be emailed me - to no avail and confirmed my correct/new email address at least four times. I called back AGAIN today and spoke first with Anna who told me my only two options were to return the items to the store or pay for the return shipping regardless of it being their error.
I asked for a supervisor. I was given to Siborla who not only told me the same thing but said a label was sent to my OLD email and they could not forward it to my new email and that I had been misinformed on the fact that Kohl's would pay for the return shipping. She kept repeating herself and asked me if I could get to my old email - I told her AGAIN - NO, as my father had passed away in May. She said she understood. Really? She understood that my father died? I asked her to speak with her super and she said she was the ONLY super on the floor and that she did not have a super. I then asked to speak to a manager and she told me "managers don't take phone calls".
I then asked for the corporate telephone number and she told me she did not have access to that info. REALLY!!!??? BUT she could tell me how to access it online but she had no access to do so. I can guarantee I will NEVER shop at ANY Kohl's again and will advise others that as well. This is just a brief description. I could go on much longer, but it is rather pointless.

Like Charlie Brown falling for the football trust game with Lucy, I returned to Kohls.com after a two year hiatus prompted by several bad experiences. A cash off coupon sent to my home enticed me to return to what was previously an excruciating online ordering process. I found no improvement. The site was slow and it took one hour to shop for three items and load my cart. When I attempted to check out the coupon wouldn't work and after 45 minutes on hold a CSR answered and told me there was nothing he could do but if I tried to use it tomorrow it would probably work. I explained it was valid now and I needed to use it that day in order to take advantage of the sale prices that expired that night. Once again he stated he could not help me.
I asked if a manager was onsite and after huffing "yes" was placed on hold again. After 20 more minutes of lost life time, I hung up. Horrible! I immediately went to Amazon and while the order cost a few dollars more, I placed it with one click after 3 minutes of shopping. The evening of Nov.14 I placed an order online with Kohl's. It never gave me the opportunity to verify my shipping address. After I confirmed the order it popped up with my son's former address in San Diego. I tried immediately to change the address & it would not allow. I tried the help line & they were closed. First thing the next morning I called & a young man stated he was cancelling it & I should go online & make a new order. It did not show as cancelled so I called again. I got a young lady in Monterey MX & she seemed sincere. She said that it was too late to cancel & she would help me reorder & have it sent to my Ohio home. She stated that the wrong order would still go out to San Diego & they would notify the shipper to retrieve it.
I asked her if the package was not there would I still be charged. She stated that I would not be charged. So I received the 2nd order at my Ohio home. On Dec. 1 I checked my Kohl's acct & sure enough I was being charged for both orders. When I called I once again got the Monterey MX call center & had to talk with 3 agents. The last one, Armondo, stated he was a supervisor but he was if no real help. He said that an investigation would have to take place. He seemed not to care what I had been told on Nov. 15. He then did state he would try to rush through the investigation but I would get a credit. In the last 3 days I have received emails from different agents confirming that the shipment arrived.
When I have answered back that they are not looking at the complete incident report & then, believe it or not, the last one suggested I go to the residence in San Diego & check with the residents there. I live in Ohio! This is the worst experience I have had with a retailer. Every agent gives different information. And their website is very flawed. I have written to an email address that I found for their executive offices. I need to have the $170 credited on my acct. This is so unprofessional & fraudulent. The next day when I reviewed what I had purchased I noticed that the cashier did not give me my 25% discount. This was very irritating to me because this meant I would have to deal with another line. On december 5th I went to customer service waiting 30 minutes to be attended. Do another shopping within a week with original price by Kohl's Cash. No discount apply. Pay back for the Kohl's Cash you earned. Once you spend Kohl's Cash, No return possible. My daughter and I went shopping for xmas gifts. Upon arriving home we were stapling the gift receipts to the item tickets. I had 3 receipts for Nike socks; however I only purchased 2 packages of socks. I reviewed my receipt and saw that I was double charged $16.00 for a package of socks. I drove back to the store with my merchandise and receipt. I explained that I was over-charged. The clerk said "okay I can credit you $7 and change." I said that was not correct as it was a $16.00 over-charge. She explained it was because I used Kohl's cash. I told her "no, my Kohl's cash was applied to an item I did not purchase. Void the entire transaction and re-ring it correctly." Naturally, she had to speak with the manager.
The clerk explained and the manager all but accused me of stealing. I told her to play the tape (video) of the transaction or speak to the original clerk. She treated me as if I was a thief. Then her cohorts start chiming in and telling me they have to be sure I did not receive the item. Now I have 4 incompetent clerks that are clueless accusing me of stealing. The manager decides to have the inventory counted. She received a callback and I hear her respond, "Oh why do I have to tell her".
Apparently, the inventory check showed one package more than what they should have had. So, the manager gives the clerk the okay to credit my account. No apology. Then once again they attempt to give me a $7 credit for a $16.00 charge with additional credit to my Kohl's cash. I told the clerk that I would not accept it. That I should not have had to pay out of pocket $50 for the entire transaction and use my existing Kohl's cash on a purchase I did not make. My out of pocket should have been reduced. I again requested the entire transaction to be voided and re-rung. The manager once again steps in. I very calmly explained that my Kohl's cash was applied to a non-purchase because it was an over-ring. She could not understand. I told her to void the entire transaction and start over. After much attitude she tells me she would return everything and re-ring it, not void it.
After I finally get the receipt for the return and the new purchase, I remained at the counter to read the new receipt to make sure it was correct when I hear another clerk mocking me for reading the receipt. I told the manager that I heard what the clerk said and I do not appreciate it. That they all need to learn how to do their jobs. While walking to my car I phoned my daughter to explain why I was taking so long and told her what happened. She asked what was my new out of pocket and she said that it was incorrect - they did not reapply the 25% discount. Once again I had to go back and have my receipt corrected. Unbelievable.
I'm just glad this happened at a time when the store was empty as close to midnight (closing time) and not a lot of other customers to see me being humiliated and treated as if I was a thief when in fact they were the thieves for charging me twice for the same item. Also, no apology. Not for the inconvenience; not for the over-charge and not for missing the 25% off coupon. It was as if I inconvenienced them.

Another "supervisor" is even more "awesome". She suggests I can cancel the order and place another TV worth $699 with 15% discount! Kohl's have College hoodies on sale for $19.99, I added in 3 total into the cart plus a cargo short for $15.00. The total was $74.97. After 20% discount the total was suppose to be $59.97 and after my Kohl's cash ($30) it should drop to $29.97 plus tax, but no. So researched what's the deal with the Kohl's cash and I found out they apply that "cash" before the percentage discount.
In addition their numbers didn't come down to $35.97. Instead, after that 20% discount the total discount was only $3.00 so the total was 35.97 + the tax after the "cash" discount. Unbelievable. 2 hrs wasted on browsing their website to find what I need and that's how they scam their customers. I am going to return ALL my purchases to their store (because unlike other big chains Kohl's want their customers to pay for return cost) and NEVER go back again, EVER!!! I will also file a complaint with the District Attorney to deal with this Greedy ** company. They had many cases with their Kohl's cash policy and yet they still want to keep it so chances are they are doing a great job on scamming unaware consumers.
PS for those that want to defend this Company's policy, please remember you pay AFTER you applied discount not before it. Because if that's case businesses can offer 90%-95% discounts with the condition consumers have to pay the balances prior to applying discount. As in you buy a product then you pay for the product with your cash then 90% discount on your 0 balance. This is exactly what Kohl's is doing.

Will never order from them again online... is not block on my computer. Last year they said it was a problem with Charter.net. I have no problem with other online orders, just with Kohl's.

Whenever I order online, there's always been an issue, and I always have to talk to their horrible customer service. My most recent experience was today, when I wasted an hour on the phone with them, and this is after my online struggles. I tried to return a dress and exchange a pair of leggings for a different size. Weeks later, I notice that the amount I received in Kohl's cash and on my card does not account for the amount that I was owed back. Today, I call them, and tell them this issue and they notice, same as me, that there is $9 unaccounted for that they owed me, and claimed the issue was from corporate. That is unacceptable! They tried to snipe me of $9 hoping I wouldn't notice.
Then onto the exchange. I didn't get my new leggings. They said, "we don't exchange, we just give Kohl's cash." Well, then that means I have to pay shipping. So I tell this rep about this issue, and they offer to waive my shipping. I'm ordering with my husband's card. Because I am a girl, they can tell that I am not a guy, and always need to speak to my husband. Well, so after they screw up the order, they start placing my order, then after I've wasted 20 mins (per call) they say, "Oh I must talk to your husband."
Then I say I need to call back and they promise to save my order... Well, they never do, so the horrible process repeats. I tried to place my order online hoping that I could call and have them waive the shipping if I talked to a rep on the phone (I'd seen someone else get their shipping waived after they'd placed their order, so I figured I could too). But then they made me cancel my order which I begged and pleaded not to have to do, and they promised they would only ask me for a few things. Finally, after another 20 mins of talking on the phone, the order got placed.
I've had multiple instances like this now, and I'd say, overall, I've spent about 5 hrs trying to figure out shipping and other issues. And when you call, you have to click 5 numbers to even talk to a rep, during which they try to be helpful, but have very strict rules and aren't easily understandable. Once, they cancelled my order without telling me, and I was very rushed on needing a product before I went to town. So then, even though I paid for quick shipping, I didn't receive it on time, because they think it's OK to just cancel orders without a notification. And, I believe the issue with that was again the discrepancy between my name and the name on the card.
The new Kohl's coupons system is so horrible. The Kohl's cash has expiration dates, and the coupons have such slim margins. Also the shipping... it should not take $75 worth of goods to get free shipping, and then even if you do have $75 worth of products, if you have Kohl's cash and coupons that take the price down from $75 (and before taxes), then you have to pay for shipping! Ridiculous system!
TL; DR I enjoy the products at Kohl's, but what does that say about a business that they tried to take $9 from me and treat the customers that are already having issues with Kohl's this way? They screw things up, and then I have to waste 3 hours of my time making calls to many different reps, when they promise it'll be fast. Done with kohls.com and close to done with Kohl's overall...

Kohl's merchandising and pricing is very good. However, the Kohl's cash promotion is a bit confusing, a greater use and possibly larger sale discounts would be a more straightforward and less time-consuming experience. The major problem is their website. About half the time, when you enter a sale discount code it will not go through. Significant delays in dealing with sales personnel and sale supervisors. The website problems turn what should be a pleasant short process into an ordeal too often. I give sales manager credit for giving free home service to rectify the problem but what should have been a 10 minute website transaction turned into an hour.

This morning, Monday 28, 2016, I received an email that my order has been canceled because it is SOLD OUT! I have called Kohl's Corporate office and can't get any assistance, they just transfer from one phone to another.
Finally, after being on the phone with their CSO for 55 minutes, the rep stated that they would allow a tv that was a little more for the inconvenience, but that was a BIG JOKE. When he tried to process the order he wasn't able to get it overridden. So, I requested a supervisor and she finally was going to send me another tv, but would need an override from the next level and would call me back in 1 to 1 1/2 hours with the approval. I never did hear back from Jenny the supervisor. I have spent thousands of dollars with this company and I am a so called MVC member and what ** service. Not sure why someone would give Kohl's a 1 star rating? At times, you get 15-20 or 30% off of sales price and on top of that, they will give you a $10 per $50 spent Kohl's cash. Also, can return anything with a valid receipt. Try this at a famous local electronic store that gives you 15 days to return and a serious attitude to go with it. Sure, I have come of out Kohl's upset at times after talking with the sales associate or local manager but they still Rock.

This company is very determined to make a sale, which, once finalized, is a done deal for them. When I placed my order, I did not see clearly, or at least did not appreciate, the confirmation of my shipping address or even the option to ship to store. Nevertheless, they processed the package to ship to my old address. Called their "customer service" number, which, like all customer service toll free services, is a dumb corporate robot which you have to basically hack to get a human.
Then when the human finally answers, of course, in typical fashion, it is not obviously based in the US. My bet it is somewhere in the Philippines. Accent very strong and some of them speak very unclearly. Reception worse than North Korea's, so expect static. Finally told they cannot change the order for any reason, including the shipping address. Took a long while to reason with them and then a "supervisor" came to the line, who promised to have this fixed by contacting the "suppliers".
Turns out this never happened, as 3 tracking numbers were already generated. Then called back, and told again that the previous person handled this badly, and that they will "cancel" the order, guarantee the same prices, and advised that I re-order! Of course did not trust this and played along. Later that night got an email then advising me to make contact with the people who live at old address! Finally called Fedex and UPS and begged to hold the packages. FedEx said they could ship to my new address, but behold they cannot now. Too much stress for this one change. Utterly useless customer service and really I'll be very careful about ordering from them. God only knows the quality of the item I'll get. Stay tuned.

Kohl's Placed order 11/17/16 for 192.52, order shipped to wrong state (former address) AFTER changes made to website and new billing and shipping. As of 11/21/16 and multiple hours over two days on the phone, we were discounted, told the items would ship immediately, hung up pleased, and within moments received an email that the order just placed had been canceled. Yep, canceled. As in, "sorry, we lied."
Due to their computer glitch we now have an additional three transactions for 196.58 from Kohl's pending on our debit card and no merchandise. As a result my spouse had to go buy more items from another store in order to comply with his new jobs dress code, leaving us well over $1000.00 poorer due to Kohl's errors and refusal to fix the issue. We have as yet been able to talk to anyone who can or will fix this error up to and including Kohl's executive VP and general counsel, and the assistant GC in legal. Both times we were sent straight to voice mail and have heard nothing.
We then tried to buy a few on-sale shirts using our Kohl's cash plus a little extra, and kablam, no problem. I had the "your order was successful" email WITH the correct shipping address within three minutes. This tells me that Eli, the manager who had stated unequivocally that he was discounting our order to $114 and overnighting it immediately was doing nothing more than getting us off the phone. We did get an email today saying that the original $192.** transaction was being refunded, but as of now, our credit union still shows right at $800 paying to Kohl's, and we have additionally had to go out and spend several hundred dollars in menswear so that my spouse can keep the part-time seasonal job that is our family's only income right now.
I will be updating this review daily with any progress, but have already spoken with three attorneys willing to work pro bono or on contingency in order to compensate for our lost time (my spouse was put through to so many people he had to call back today - we've been on the phone for over four hours in two days), for emotional stress (I have PTSD and don't do conflict well), for the additional funds he had to pay to meet his job's formal dress code, and for any other compensation the court deems just and fair. I get that suing over cheap suits is rather litigious, but apparently there doesn't seem to be another way to make Kohl's care about its customers.
One manager, Kiki, was so rude she hung up on my husband and he was not being abusive. Nobody would give us their first and last names. Thank goodness for legal networking sites or I wouldn't have been able to even get to corporate, much less the names of their executives (for all the good that's done). So, Kohl's, aside from Lili **, you now have to deal with us.

Repeated calls, horrendous "put on holds" and referrals to supervisors availed nothing. Finally was promised someone would call me within 24-48 hours. Time was up 4 days ago. Very surprised to see all the negative reviews on here. Kohl's always has the best deals and coupons - 30% off almost everything once a month, and it's combinable with other coupons and Kohl's cash as well. There are numerous times when I've gotten things for just PENNIES after the coupons. Clearance section in their brick and mortar stores are also great too - you can find dresses for $5 or less, window curtains for $3 a pane, hats for $3. And on TOP of that, you can use your 30% discount. Where else can you find that? Great refund policy too - no questions asked, no date limitations. There was one time where I ordered a thermal carafe and it arrived with the glass lining shattered on the side. Called Kohl's to notify them and they asked me to dispose of it immediately and offered a full refund.

Kohl's canceled my Kohl's cash, so that when I tried to use it in the store, it said it had been used on an online order, which I hadn't made. I called to investigate and they confirmed it hadn't been used, it was a technical "glitch." And although it was their fault, they said they could only give us another $20 coupon for an online order and that we would have to call first (again, spending even more of our own time) before placing the order so the credit could be applied. Absolutely ridiculous. Basically, they are making us spend more money to get the money we should have been owed in the first place. Do NOT order online from Kohl's. They are beyond terrible. Every time I order, I have received damaged merchandise, incorrect merchandise, or the merchandise is just missing. Yet, they charge me for all the items I ordered but didn't receive! Once I received broken dishes. They wanted me to re-order but told me I could not use the coupons that I had used with the original order. This should have been an even exchange. A Kohl's employee put dishes in a cardboard box with NO packing material whatsoever. Of course it would arrive broken. And then Kohl's wants me to pay MORE to have it replaced??? Currently, I have been shorted two items.
I call customer service to let them know. The man "puts in a request" for shipment of the missing items. I then get an e-mail from Kohl's, letting me know based on the tracking number my order has been delivered. It went on to say "check with your neighbor to see if they have the package or check with the post office". Further, the email states "We hope this helps you. If you need further assistance, call the phone number". My neighbors do not have my package! I emailed them a response. I then call the number and was told there was no one there at that number that could help me because an incident had already been started by Kohl's and I could only communicate by e-mail to resolve this problem. Kohl's was waiting on me to respond. Which I already had. I wanted the supervisor. Of course, he was busy. And the supervisor's supervisor was not at work today.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I am so disappointed with Kohl's. It's a chronic problem and they just don't know how to fix it. I have been a loyal customer. I have been an MVP shopper for years. I am done with Kohl's. In addition to this, the coupons now have so many restrictions it's difficult to figure out what the coupon is actually good for. Shame on you Kohl's for losing what was once good service. I will no longer shop Kohl's and would recommend to everyone that you do not order online. Nothing but a hassle.

I am a long standing Kohl's shopper. I have had two bad experiences with Kohl's online and do not plan to use that method of shopping again. 1. Earlier this year I ordered a set of bathroom accessories. The order came in minus one item. I was told it was out of stock. I, the customer was responsible for monitoring their site to see if and when the item came back in stock. It never did. 2. I ordered shoes using my Kohl's cash and a 30% coupon. One pair fit, two pair did not. I went to my local store expecting to be able to do an exchange. I was told that I could return the shoes but that I would need to use the kiosk to reorder and that they would not honor the previous price.
So on the phone I went to contact customer service. Initially I was told they would not honor the Kohl's cash nor would they do an exchange. I could return the order and they would refund. I would need to make a new purchase. After some negotiation I received agreement that they would honor the coupon and the Kohl's cash. In the next minute I was told the items were out of stock and once again, I would be responsible for monitoring when they came in stock and placing a new order. I am usually a calm person, however, I expressed my dissatisfaction in no uncertain terms. I cannot justify shopping with Kohl's online again. The frustration is not worth it. In fact it feels somewhat like a bait and switch. One seriously unhappy customer!

Kohl's states they have "HASSLE FREE" returns and refunds. I believe they should change that to "HASSLE ME" returns and refunds. I attempted to return a pair of Lee Jeans which I bought as a gift for my brother-in-law. I had his correct size so I didn't bother to keep the receipt. All of the tags including the price tag were still attached to the jeans. I wanted to exchange them for Levi Jeans since that's what my brother-in-law preferred. The tag showed the price was $48.00, but I expected to receive less since I didn't use a Kohl's Charge (Story for another day) but a Visa Card. Their return/refund policy in this case is "Non-Kohl's Charge purchases made outside of the 12-month time-frame: Receive Kohl's Merchandise Card or a Corporate-issued refund." The credit amount will be "A Kohl's-Credit based on the lowest 13-week sale price." That seems reasonable.
HOWEVER, when I went to the Kohl's store, the person working there walked over to another work station, did not type any data into the computer, looked at the screen for ten to fifteen seconds, came back over and said, "we can give you a store credit of $4.98." WHAT??? That's an 89.6% reduction in the tag price. I asked her if they ever sold Lee Jeans for $4.98, and she replied, "yes." I used to shop there quite a bit and even during a clearance, the lowest price I've seen on Lee Jeans was $24.00. I contacted Corporate Headquarter and spoke with a representative in the refund department. He wasn't able to come up with a refund of $4.98 based on a clearance price but said that I would have to accept what they offered. I gave the jeans to Goodwill. I now shop elsewhere and closed my Kohl's Credit Card!!!
