Dollar General has locations in great places, in a variety of communities. Dollar General has a small variety of items that make shopping easy and quick. The hours are great. The only issue I have with Dollar General is sometimes more staff to help at times. What a great store.

The Dollar General I live by is pretty good, but I feel they don't rotate the stock well enough. And I always think that Dollar general could sell stuff for under a dollar and still make excellent profit.

I do most of my shopping there. They don't have certain brands or produce. Most things are a decent price. Would recommend. Employees are always very nice and helpful. The stores are usually pretty clean. (Except when they are stocking or changing seasons).

What I like about Dollar General is that they are every community making it very convenient to shop without the need to travel far. Dollar General also carries the most popular items with great prices. Plus they have a great selection of ice cream.

I live in Texarkana, Tx and go to the Dollar General off 59 across from a burger joint. Every time I go in there the place is spotless. The cashiers are friendly and always ready to help. Prices are a little bit higher than Family Dollar but the cleanliness and customer service make me come back again and again.

I'm a Senior Citizen trying to live on a tight fixed income. It not an easy struggle to make end come together. In fact sometimes they go lacking of some of my needs. I have to rely on the bargain product at Dollar General to help me over the gap, & this Company does a excellent job. I recommend this Company to everyone I know with no chagrin about frequently shopping there. I don't push my beliefs/father I've chosen on anyone, yet I stand firmly behind this Company as a patron. Thank you!

Shopping is always a great experience. Large variety, great prices, I love new expanding to include dairy. My only regret is the aisle stays full of things waiting to be shelves. Shopping with my mother is no fo, a wheel chair can't even get down the first isle at doors to many. Stands at front.

My family shops here in an almost daily. It is located on route we use to & from home. Dollar General is great when you don't necessarily want to go to the big grocery stores. They have all the basics, from food, bath, auto & school needs to a last minute gift.

The selection of food items, Household items and everything you need in this one-stop-shop in Franklin. Reasonable prices too! Always stocked. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Courteous. Near door parking. Handicapped parking available.

There is a Dollar General a couple blocks from where I live. It is very convenient to have nearby for many things that they sell. Some items are priced lower than at other retail stores, and that is very helpful.

All shelves are usually full. Prices are duly marked. Aisle could be wider for wheelchair access. They are punctual upon opening. You can always find a person to ask questions about products. Plenty of parking spaces. Could use a couple more handicapped spaces. Parking lot clean and free of debris. All in all, an easy place to shop.

I don't know how our community survived without Dollar General. I stop in there at least every other day. What variety of merchandise they carry. I can always find what I need plus new and exciting things. I hardly have to go anywhere else!

The stores are usually junky and not organized. Some times they don't even have bags after check out to carry merchandise! Many times items are passed the expiration date outdated. I have needed to return an item and the clerk wanted all of my personal information.

On 2/15/2020 I bought a box of TAMPAX tampons. They are defective, when you push the tampon doesn't come out like it's designed to do. I called the store and I was told to put in a complaint. Buyers be aware! I have my receipt.

I love Dollar General because their prices are great! Where else can you buy a six-pack of paper towels for $5 and Kleenex at $1 a box? I also love their locations. They were smart enough to put their stores in neighborhoods. There is a Dollar General store right down the street from me, less than half a mile. Everybody forgets something at the grocery store, or finds out they don't have a particular ingredient they need for a meal. With a Dollar General in your neighborhood, you don't have to go back to the grocery store. It's a Godsend! Their employees are cheerful and helpful and they have products I can't find elsewhere! Excellent!

The Products are Quality and get lots of coupons! Some of their employees not very courteous. Only drawback. I have moved recently and shop at the one in Bowling Green, Ky. The stores in Louisville have better Customer Service!

Products which are high quality can be found at low price! This by itself is a great motivator to a value per dollar hunter. I have found great medical and household items which sometimes are twice as much in retail.

I watch the weekly ads for items I normally buy. When I see something I know is a good sale price, I buy something to get a receipt with a five dollar coupon for usually the following Saturday. Then use five dollar coupon off twenty five dollars or more. For me this is usually coffee, creamer, or toilet paper. Buy several to get twenty five dollars worth. Also, when they have it, they have the best price on Miller beer 16 ounce six packs.

Been there three times in the last two weeks for quick purchases. They had what I needed at very good prices, even picked up some snacks. There's always one near where I am so it's always a quick trip.

Store was nice and clean, employe was very courteous, pleasant, seemed to be quite content with her job, location was Henderson Ky just South of bridge, selection of ethnic cards was a great delight.

Good store for some money saving deals but have found a lot of the things that are overly priced. Can be comparable to buying things from a convenience store, like 7 Eleven compared to Kmart or Walmart. For convenience's sake it can be ok.

I love to travel through country towns and find out the Dollar General is the new grocery store that supply products to the town, that has fallen short for many years and the Dollar General is bringing back community in these small towns even the small towns now that I thought was dead, I see people buzzing around shopping. Keep it up.

I just enjoy wandering the store and finding little bargains. There are always new surprise items. Some items I always try to buy there like batteries, greeting cards, cleaning and paper products. I advise my friends about batteries. I heard on TV that they have tested the batteries and found that the batteries are equal, sometimes better. I've even found some cool pieces of casual clothing there.

Store easy for me. Shop has a variety. Where I shop most of time no long lines where you have wait to check out. Shop here because it is close for me as I am as older person. Prices are in line with most stores.

Dollar General has a lot of good stuff but you need to watch some things. Example bacon is cheaper than grocery store but the ounces is less. Dawn dish soap doesn’t stay soapy as long. Bar soaps have fillers. Cheaper here yes, but in long run if you have to keep buying or using more, is it really cheaper?

I love the variety & convenience of shopping at Dollar General, they always have what I need at a reasonable price with very fast check outs. Great place to shop if you’re in a hurry & want to save money all at the same place.

Dollar General is like an upscale Dollar Tree store. It's quick and easy to get out. It has limited varieties compared to a Super Target or Wal-mart, but enough to sub their name brand or something close. They carry major food brands and household goods. They also carry their own dollar section.

I don't shop Dollar General. I shop Dollar Tree. I've been to General Dollar and I don't get motivated. I like Dollar Tree a whole lot better. A good selection of stuff and nothing over a dollar. It's my favorite store.

Locations everywhere, friendly and helpful employees, terrific variety, have most anything you want even name brand items. They have canned food, frozen food, snacks of all kind, fresh bread, buns, Hostess donuts. Prices better than Walmart. Always my first stop.

They can be tight for space and sometimes seem messy but there are great deals there especially for holidays. I have found really cool stuff for Independence Day in particular. Was also pleased to find Flex Tape there as well!

Crowded, dirty and things not in order. Cashiers not sure how to do their job. Merchandise in carts full of merchandise in narrow aisles. Parking lot is nasty, full of papers and trash. Prices are good on certain things but not so on other items, they are higher than most stores.

They have an interesting variety of storage container options. Better than any store I have ever found. I was very surprised to see fabric and wicker design baskets of every size. Some had cute sayings on them.

The staff is just the best. Always an enjoyable experience. Great selection of beer. I love the fact this franchise is involved with Toys For Tots. As a Marine that speaks volume to me. The store is always clean.

Staff helpful. Manager on Site. Terrific markdowns on domestic items. Also have 1.00 items. Also like options of bread products. I have never had any problems. I tell my friends about this store. No problems with returns. Variety of items Including dairy, can foods, candy. Makeup and medicine at lower prices.

I like shopping at Dollar General. Their selection of a available merchandise and order of the stores need improvement. Also I have noticed some of their prices on a lot of items are higher than Walmart. Other than that I am pretty satisfied.

I have faith in Dollar General. When I walk in I don’t second-guess myself. I know that the prices will meet my needs and that the stock is carefully selected for high quality than in other dollar stores. This makes my shopping experience easier and I’m grateful for that!

Very organized merchandise. Neat and fully stocked. Logical and understandable location of items. Friendly and capable staff. Reasonably priced and easy to locate. Tons of variety, many of brand name items. Relatively quick checkout. Love this place!

Great competitive prices on many, many household items like brand name laundry detergent, bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies to keep your house running and the same goes with snacks like ice cream, chips, soda. A lot to choose without having to go to a gigantic mega store and still getting discount prices. Quick in and out with no long lines. You really can't beat Dollar General!

I love running to Dollar General to get last-minute snacks or household items. The staff is friendly and the selection has greatly improved over the past five years. I am especially pleased with the clearance section, which allows me to try items at a discounted price.

Surprisingly enough. Dollar General has a variety of items I didn't think they would have. I personally like going to Dollar General for more BANG! for my buck. Everything is not a dollar in store, but nonetheless you still come out better getting it from there. The value is just as equal to most major shopping outlets. I had gotten a really cool birthday card that was so hilarious! I didn't think they would this kind of quality. It was the kinda card that plays a funny tune when you open it up! Totally awesome. I would strongly recommend you check out their card section if you really want to give that special moment to someone. Overall what you need to do, stop by your local Dollar General store and find out what gems you can find for good prices.

Quick, inexpensive, variety, meets all of your needs. I shop here frequently. It saves me a lot of money on most everything I need. Is conveniently located. I can get in and out quickly. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Dollar General is the "GO-TO" store when your budget is tight. I had found everything at Dollar General that I need for my home and work. The selections and varieties are endless. I have come across unusual and long forgotten items that I had not purchased in a very long time (like candies from my childhood). DG is the last stop before I go home from work. Believe me, when I stop in for a couple of minutes to pick up whatever, those minutes turns into an hour of walking down each and every aisle looking for that special delight.

I mostly can find what I need for quick stops or special sales. Some of the regular products are not the best quality and I tend to stay away from those. I never buy dog food, or any kind of dog treats at this store.

DG stores are very accessible, the quality of their products are comparable with so called name brand stores; their prices are reasonable, and I can find most any household items I need, as well as a host of special occasion items and gifts.

I shop there for value and choices of products. They have some products I can't find in other grocery stores and are of better quality. Prices are usually better than supermarkets and the stores are located conveniently.

Lots of items for your home. Food that is shelved, frozen and most have some fresh. The cost is slightly higher for food than a grocery store. Clothing and toys, some hardware type items. It's a mini Walmart.

I personally have seen a huge change in the retail store.. It is clean, organized, more selections and friendlier to be in.. Digital coupons save me money and it's fun to do.. Stop by. I promise you'll love it too.

They are quite convenient and there is a store on almost every corner and prices are very competitive. I Love it. The hours are very convenient for every shift you work and they are always very well stocked and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about what's in the store and where to find it. Wish I had stock in this company.

Dollar General can be so much better if aisles were bigger. This is one of my favorite stores to shop. It's crammy but overall, great variety and great quality products. Dollar General is great with top quality stuff.

I have gone to Dollar General many times. I would say that 75% of the time they are out of the item I went there for. It's a shame you have to get there on day 1 of sale or you lose out. This happens over and over again. I don't bother anymore.

We always find good deals at DG from clothing to slippers, soda, and laundry products. It’s never crowded, easy parking and access. The staff is always courteous, helpful, the aisles are well organized.

I love to shop at Dollar General... Awesome prices, awesome products and awesome team. I can usually find what I need without going to a big department store or into the City. I also love the fact that if I need a large quantity of a certain product I can tell the Store Manager within a reasonable amount of time and she will order more in a special order.

Don't have much to have good variety of things. The prices of some things are a bit more than I would like to pay, but overall it's a good store! That's all I have to say about Dollar General stores, most things should cost one dollar.

Dollar General is a nice store and fills a void between a gas station and a grocery store. The prices are reasonable even though usually the quantities are less than a regular size item at a grocery store. Most have a small amount of groceries.

I like shopping at this store when I can because they carry a lot of quality products. Everything is not of cheap or poor quality. The prices are great, very affordable, because of that, you can easily wound up spending a lot of money. Whenever I'm looking for something unusual, I almost can count of Dollar General to have it at a great price. I tell folks not to "sleep" on this store. They really have good products. They like the Best Kept Secret. There's something there for everything. Food, household, cleaning, partyware, over the counter medications, etc. A real variety discount store that won't break your pockets.

I never thought I’d stop at and then keep shopping at Dollar General (DG) stores when the first store opened in the neighborhood about eight years ago. I was surprised at the wide variety, reasonably priced, and commonly known household products within six blocks of my apartment! These stores save money and time in my neighborhood offering wide varieties of numerous well-known brands at almost always significantly lower prices.

I use Dollar General quite often and find it handy with great prices. Only thing I don't like is that they are now popping up on every corner. Otherwise I love the store and the items I can get at almost half of what I would pay in another store.

First of all our neighborhood Dollar General is very pleasant and welcoming. Most of the Staff are so helpful and friendly. The sales and coupons are great, whenever we need quick items we can always count on our Dollar General Store! We also find items that we can uses when doing quick repairs. Dollar General offers a variety of quality products at very affordable prices, far below other retailers. They are also located within easy walking distance for those without transportation. This is very helpful for seniors and income-restricted consumers.

Well if you can't find something in this store there's something wrong with you. I love buying their canned goods here too. Also they usually have some good buys on bread and their vegetables that are fresh. I also buy their potatoes in the produce department. I have to go up and down each aisle as you never know what you might find.

I am very appreciated having a Dollar General nearby. I can depend on items that I need at a last minutes thought, instead of having to drive a distance to the larger supermarkets and/or spending a lot of money at the local, WAWA or 7-ELEVEN stores. Prices are GREAT even for name brands but, I do use their brand name products as well and I have no problem with them. The workers are always friendly at the register and beyond. If you can't find something they will help you right away. And, they accept coupons, yeah. They are my BFF.

Recent visits have shown many changes in sales clerks. Longer wait times. Space in store small makes finding sale items difficult. Store is close by and easy to reach. Clerks are friendly but usually don't stay.

Dollar General is a good store overall. It has a good variety when you need to pick something up in a hurry. However, the store aisles are often full of stock cart waiting to be unloaded because they always understaff their stores and there are not enough workers to put away stock. I do often find shelves empty.

I live in a small town and a Dollar General opened up here a few years ago. This was the absolute best addition to our town! The prices are amazing and they have such a variety of stuff that you could find almost anything you need. I needed liquid smoke on Thanksgiving morning and sure enough, they had it. It is like a mini Walmart. The store would be perfect if it had fresh produce as well. I don't know how we lived without one for so many years.

Living in a very rural area the choices for groceries is limited to a few stores. For the most part these stores have very high in prices. Dollar General is smaller than other of their sites, but over time they have become a reliable clean place to shop for most items I use. In order to go to large box type stores I have to travel about 75 miles. So we visit Dollar General around once a week in between our major shopping trips.

I really like that this company has many locations. Just about everything is a bargain. I was a regular shopper at the East Northport location until I bought candy there for Halloween. They had roaches in them! I was lucky enough to have my landlord spray immediately and the five I found I killed. Never shop there again!!!

This is a good and fast place to shop for a wide variety of products. Sadly, you can never be certain that the item you purchased last week will be in stock this week. Prices are much better than convenience stores for items which are actually in stock. The cashier stations are not adequate at peak busy times and wait times to be checked out can be long. They also have an absurd system of requiring some who is 68 years old to actually show an ID in order to buy beer or cigarettes.

90% of the stores I’ve shopped are dirty, unorganized, and just a mess. Most of the products look as if they are just thrown on the shelf. Boxes are setting all over and creating a hazardous shopping area. The variety of products available is what I find the best reason to shop this group of stores.

I have a fairly new Dollar General store on my side of town. Bunches of people come here due to the fact it's the closest thing to a grocery store plus clothing and accessories sell well here. I get my dog supplies here and I can even tell you the cashier's names.

Great variety of products and snacks for $1.00. What’s not to like??? Love their greeting cards for two for $1.00. Wonderful paper products for bathroom and kitchen. The gift bags and wrapping paper are a steal. My favorite store is on 4400 West Diversey in Chicago. It is clean, and employees are so nice and helpful!!!

Store has great selection of items. Whether you need laundry detergent to auto or toothpaste. Pricing is reasonable for items, but wouldn’t fill a grocery cart for items. Find this store to be a choice when you need something spontaneous and don’t want to visit a large outlet and have to deal with large parking lots, lines, waiting for checkout.

Lines always long and unprofessional employees. I was wrongfully accused of stealing. Embarrassed in front of others. I called corporate and requested a follow up call in which I never received. They are unorganized, uneducated and need to find a job not dealing with the public.

Tried 5 times to log coupons. Kept getting errors. Couldn't get a phone number just submit electronic message. Got rude people when Google gave me a phone number. Called corporate. Transferred to the rude people again. Never spending another dime here.

They have a good variety of merchandise so quick trips to pick something up is a breeze, such as paper towels, toiletries, pens & paper, etc. They also have milk, bread, lunchmeat, chips, etc. It's very handy to stop in and grab something quick.

We have experienced good customer service. Variety is good. Prices aren't bad. Would recommend them to my family and friends. Just wish we had one a little closer. We like the products they offer. Sometimes they add new items.

There are several stores on my way home and I can drop in to get something that I forgot. They have prices that I can afford. I get my paper products and pet supplies there. They have some awesome sales on kids clothes and toys. When I go into the store I usually buy more than what I went in to get.

Our store in small town central Texas with headcount of approximately 4000 folks is always in stock, very clean. The employees courteous and the manager of our Smithville Texas store is awesome and so professional.

I have always found it a joy to shop at Dollar General. The staff is always helpful when you can't find something. They have a great selection of brand name and store name products. I find that store brand products are just as good as brand name. The prices are phenomenal. I get great deals shopping there.

I have always been treated in the Greenfield store with respect. The staff are so helpful from the start to the end of my shopping adventure. Love the prices, quality, and oh so helpful staff, esp. I have visited several stores to compare and although I do appreciate the low costs of the items, the atmosphere inside the stores make them unwelcoming. The stores I visited are always cluttered with stock in the middle of the aisles, which is sometimes on tall carts that block the items you wish to see on the shelves. The shelves are always unorganized and it is difficult to determine pricing on some items as they are not organized and in the wrong locations. Overall the stores need a lot of clean-up. The staff members that I have come in contact with do not appear to be happy about working in the stores. I would not go so far as to say they have been rude, just not very friendly. I would suggest to corporate to start looking into their district managers first to see if they actually visit or care about the stores that they manage. As with any business, the attitude from the ones at the top usually determine the attitudes of those under their supervision.

As a cancer patient with a mortgage pennies count. They are close to my house in Hyde Park NY but whenever you go in there it's a fight to get through the aisles. Wagons of new stock block most of aisles and merchandise all over the floor. But I need to save money even putting myself at risk of injury.

I shop at Dollar General because they offer a wide range of household items and food that other "Dollar" stores do not offer, at a reasonable price. Brillo Pads. These are hard to find. Yet, Dollar Tree has them. Disposable gloves for household tasks, yet strong enough for multiple use. Tasty cookies at a savings of as much as $2.50, down from grocery store chain prices. Writing pads and household cleaning products. I use the bus as my primary means of transportation. It makes a difference to me that I can find what I need, when I need it, at a price I can afford, with a quick visit to Dollar General. The stores are always clean and products are on the shelves. Dollar General is a good place to shop when you forget to buy things on your regular shopping list. Thank you Dollar General.

I like Dollar General because it is affordable. They have a lot of name brand items to choose from. The physical stores however are normally too small. Aisles are crowded and they don't have enough employees on the floor.

I really like dollar stores, with the exception of "Dollar General." Most of the other dollar store have 99% of their items for one dollar or less. Dollar General however has a vast majority of their items for more than a dollar. They have transitioned from a Dollar Store to the convenience store/grocery store market. I think they should change their name or revert back to a Dollar Store.

I love this store and if you have an issue and contact corporate, they resolve it with excellence. But the average customer is not getting your digital coupon system via the phone. You should have printable coupons also when you send out your flier via email. Not everyone wants to download coupons to their phone.

I started visiting the store as it is close by. I like the pharmacy area, but they have good household cleaning supplies, T.P. and picnic supplies, batteries and a few canned goods. The store brand of bottled water is reverse osmosis. They have a few garden supplies. It's almost a sort of mini Walmart. It really is a general store, they even have kitchen and bath towels, a dish drainers.

Dollar General is a great store that has a variety of items for a low price. They have an app with digital coupons that you can use when you shop. All you have to do is go to the app and select the coupons you will use. They also have the digital coupon to get $5 off when you purchase $25 or more on Saturdays. This is an excellent way to save money! The store also has sales on a variety of products every day. They are quick to answer any and all questions on their survey page which you can fill out every time you shop and you get a chance to win a $100 gift card. All this plus excellent customer service makes this store a great place to shop!! I recommend this store highly. Wait till Saturday to shop and save even more.

I have been a long time customer and usually satisfied, but last night was upsetting. There were two employees working, neither one greeted me and when I was ready to check out no one was around. I waited for 5 minutes and finally I left my items by register and walked out. Now I do work in retail, a customer should not be waiting for service and for another they should be greeted as they walk in. Also there should always be someone monitoring the front of the store for loss prevention. Location: Gainesville, MO

I always shop shop in this store, it was getting much better when they got a manager in there that cared about fixing the place up. Then for some unknown reason they got rid of him, and now the store is a total wreck. The same and a few people that all lazy and do work. I liked the manager that as he was so friendly and very helpful. We always spoke when I was in the store, he did say the people didn't like him cause he was making them work. When I found out they fired him is absurd. I will never shop in this store again. The people in the company really have no clue as to what they are doing.

Impossible to use coupons. After having tried to use their coupons that they make available for use at checkout time at any of their stores. After they ring you up not at any of their thousands of stores, they never work and do not deduct one penny from your bill. It is an utter fraud. And their customer service and Their technical support were completely unhelpful the three times I asked for their worthless help!

This store is a junk hole and needs to be shut down. A lot of merchandise lying in floor everything. A lot of stuff just jammed up together. Associates standing on outside and I’m waiting to be checked out.

I will not patronize the 910 W Cumberland St. store, Dunn North Carolina, 28334, anymore until it is cleaned up. I have been a loyal customer for some time now but I am so tired of tripping over brand new merchandise on the floor. Every time I go in to shop no one is stocking or straightening, but they are damn sure on the register securing the money for your products. Appearance matters just as much as sales.

This store on Wyoming Street in Royal Oak Township MI. This store looked as if a hurricane had hit. EVERY aisle had merchandise on the floor, every aisle had carts of merchandise, every aisle had empty boxes, broken down boxes. If Dollar General can't get staff who respect the community enough to provide a CX experience they should shut this location down. It is insulting to the community to expect us to spend our dollars in this type of environment.

I have been visiting this store for over 20 years. I have never seen it look as it did today. No inventory carts in the aisle, no broken down boxes on the floor, inventory neat. It was AMAZING to see this.

This is in reference to Store #16981 in Thomas Oklahoma. This store has many outdated food items consistently. They keep the phone off the hook so you cannot contact them. I am in a wheelchair and since their isles are narrow and crammed with displays I have to get someone else to shop for me. I don’t blame the employees because I used to manage one and corporate forces them to cram the isles. They are overworked and under paid but they could do a better job of removing out of date items.

This is for the Dollar General on Dyersburg TN on Forrest street. I went in to get a turkey baster. They didn't have one so I was leaving to go to Walmart. As I was walking out the cashier told me to get it out of my purse. I was confused at first and then he said it again and I realized what he was saying. I handed him my purse very forcefully and told him to look through it because I don't have **. He threaten to call the cops. I told him to call them cause I don't have a damn thing. He then told me to not come back in the store. It made me angry because I don't steal. I want to file a complaint.

I visited the Dollar General in Hartfield,Va last Saturday and again today.On Saturday there were stock carts blocking every aisle. I was on the back aisle trying to get my cart through and an employee pushed one of the large carts out and ran into me causing a cut on the back of my heel. I asked for the carts to be moved so I could get out I was told "not today". Today it was the same thing but when I asked I was told "move it yourself". What topped it off was no receipt. Cashier said "nope no receipt its broke". Why are the aisles being blocked. They have large back room. Why are all the carts on the floor at the same time! Next time this happens I am going to call the fire marshal.

Store is always clean and fairly stocked. If it's not stocked they will go check to make sure it is out. In celebration of Toria North Judson IN store always goes that extra mile to make her customers happy. Thanks.

The majority of the time I go to purchase an item on sale I don’t get the discounted price. So I’ve started setting my items on the counter and at that time I tell the checker what price it should be, the cashier always says it will show the discount at the end of the transaction. I wait until all my items have been scanned and the cashier still can’t tell if the products were discounted. I think Dollar General does this on purpose because they have to be making a fortune from the customers that don’t notice. I was ripped off $1.35 tonight and I told the cashier the price and she couldn’t tell if everything was discounted. Very irritating! Start checking your receipts.

I was just in the location on West Gannon Street in Zebulon and this was my customer service experience. I was next in line behind a women that was purchasing a large number of Garden Supplies that were 90% off. Well she had close to 50 items and had a lot of questions due to the way it was merchandised. They said it was confusing because they had no room (dollar general choice not mine or the women with the questions).

I live in Lehigh Acres, FL and there's a Dollar General close to my home off of Gretchen Avenue and besides 1 or 2 managers, there's always some young female with a HORRIBLE attitude at the register. They never know an answer to help you with your shopping and they act like they completely hate their job. I went tonight and there were 2 registers open but as soon as I get to the register the lady walks away and the person at register 2 yelled out and said, "Come to this register," which I had to walk past her to get to register 1, it made no sense. She puts my stuff in a bag and throws it on the counter and was just overall miserable. I love the prices at DG stores but the attitudes of employees will keep me away.

I am a customer at Dollar General on Loganville Hwy in Bethlehem GA, the manager name is Jeremy **, I am in this store 4 or 5 times a week, I would like to let y'all know about a cashier her name is Wanda **, she always ask her customer how they are doing, she always greet customer when they walk in the door. When you ask her where something is she will walk and show you where it is, she will get you thru the lines real fast, always have a smile on her face and she has said to me how much she loves her job and customer. On February 7 2019 she lost her husband to cancer and she is raising two grandchildren on her own, I think she needs a raise, also I think the owner of the store needs to know what a good person she is, she is a blessing to all of her customer.

I went to the Dollar General store for Temptations cat treats, was going to use a coupon I had gotten in the mail. I got to the counter with my coupon and the rest of the items I intended to purchase. When the cashier rang up the treats I handed over my coupon for redemption. I was then informed that unless it was a buy one get one free coupon I could not redeem it. I purchased the rest of the items I had in my cart but was not able to get the treats. This particular store is located in Wittensville KY store #20353. Needless to say I will not be shopping there again.

Went to the Cedar Springs Dollar General today. Was NOT impressed. Couldn't maneuver around the aisles due to too much unstocked product. Asked the store manager for help looking for a product and got ignored. Was sighed at by the cashier due to the large amount of groceries I was purchasing. The manager mumbled something under "her" breath about how "she" couldn't get anything done because "she" ALWAYS was getting interrupted by customers. I will not recommend this store to friends and family. I'd rather recommend the store in Sparta or on Leonard Street before this one.

I don't care for the high prices. You spend nearly $100 and get home with only a hand full of merchandise,,, and every time I try to use the weekly coupon the cashier's always tell me it's too late even though I presented it before ring up time. And the taxes on my receipt are always over $7.... They have lost me as a customer for good!

I guess they assume I’m stealing. The last 4 months the manager has the employees to follow me and stand around where I’m at. Of course they are looking like they are working but if I go to next lane they come too. Isn’t that harassment??? Today I asked employee why they are following me and I said I was going to report it. I got cussed out by employee. Something is not right.

I was at the Dollar General in McKean PA and at the checkout, my receipt on my $70 order didn’t come out. The cashier tried to print it, then her supervisor tried to print it out. But it didn’t work. They had no solution and didn’t seem to care. The cashier asked “Why did I need it, was I going to return something?” I said "I don’t know, it’s a lot of stuff, I hope not, but how do I know?" The supervisor stayed behind the wall behind the cash register area & didn’t come back out to help. He just listened without doing anything, I guess. The cashier just stared at me with zero solution & said sorry.

I came in with my children to purchase some snacks. We met an employee named Katrina ** that immediately started following us around. I asked her if I could help her and she cussed me so I decided to leave. I couldn't believe how rude she was and if that's the type of employees they have I will do my shopping elsewhere.

Love this store. I'm there 4-5 times a week and I'm always satisfied. Great big smiles always welcomed when you enter, fast register/checkout and always the best deals!!! Whenever we go there we feel welcomed and the service is always A+.

I'm on disability and can't walk too far. The Dollar General took the handicap signs down from the front of the store and it's hard to find a close parking place. Don't know why they would do that unless they don't want us older people to shop with them anymore.

There is this guy at one of your locations in Mount Vernon Kentucky which is at store 325 us hwy 150, I believe his name is **. This makes a few times I've been in there or my daughters have that he forgets to give our change back then when we go back in to get it he'll say, "Oh I'm sorry. Today just not my day." Well if it's not his day everyday then he shouldn't be working as a cashier. There is this one day that my daughter went in that he unplugged the whole system and then told a manager on duty that his system went down, and when he's working his lines back up that you got to stand in line for at least 20 minutes or longer. I don't know the manager at this store but apparently you need to get a new one cause he/she is never there and he/she hires the worst people ever that basically knows nothing about what they are doing. Thanks so much.

Seen ad for Pepsi 4 for ten dollars so grabbed four 12 packs. When I got home noticed was charged 5 something per 12 pack. Ripped off again. I called them. Store associate said it was for six packs. Told her not what sign said. She said if I come back in she will see what she can do. I would never pay 5 something a 12 pack for a dollar more. Can get a case of 24. This isn't one of those other scam post on here. Lesson learned. Shop where you know pricing is always correct like Kinney Drugs for soda.

I placed an order online five days ago and when my order still hadn't been shipped I went to cancel my order. I was told by 3 different reps that it was Impossible to cancel my order because it would "disrupt all orders they have on the internet", obviously a cop out. They refused to cancel the order or refund my money. He also said that we should be patient because they have a system that works to ensure that a "fast and courteous delivery" of my order. How fast is this system when it takes 5+ days to process?

I was falsely accused of shoplifting at the Syracuse NY area Dollar General. The location was on Butternut St. I was ticked. The manager asked me if he could look into my bag. I am suing for discrimination. The man was very frazzled and rude. I will never go to that location again. I called corporate and complained.

The location off Shawnee Drive (Kansas City Kansas) is great! Amazing staff. Polite & courteous. Team players! When the line gets more than a few people everyone jumps in & helps out. Shelves are always stocked. Just a good location.

The Chaffee, Missouri Location is awful. Two women there have threatened me on social media. One named Sydney ** and her mom Jackie **. There is another employee there that they will make fun of me in front of. And it makes my experience there in my small town very unpleasant. I no longer support Dollar General. I also tried to call the corporate office in TN and that was a joke. I dialed 8 like I was instructed to do and it didn’t even ring.

I feel that Dollar General a good place to run in and out quickly. Their prices are reasonable, store is stocked well, customer service is ok, but they need to have more checkers on busy days. I would recommend Dollar General to people.

I realized after I had entered the store that I had forgotten to bring their usual weekly "$5 off $25" coupon on the receipt from the purchase I made earlier in the week. There were lots of good bargains to choose from, including clearance items in the toy department. When I got to the register I explained to the cashier that I had forgotten my coupon. She cheerfully said she'd extend the $5 discount anyway, seeing that it was a big purchase over $25. Checkout was smooth, and the sale/clearance items came up at the proper posted prices. There was no haggling, no having to try to convince anyone that sale items were indeed on sale and no having to take an employee by the hand and lead them to an aisle to show them where a sale sign is posted! What a relief! And what a pleasure to be able to buy items at reasonable prices for the actual prices as posted!

While shopping for hair products on June 7, 2019 I kept being watched. I was finally asked if I needed help and I replied no. After buying my items and attempting to leave the store the alarm went off. The associate/manager apologizes and takes two items out of my bag and runs them over the scanner again. In my second attempt to leave the store the alarm goes off again. “Misty” the associate/manager asks if she can look through my purse and I told her that she could not. I stated that I didn’t take anything and that she is going to have to review the cameras. That is when she said she was going to call the cops because she didn’t believe me.

The other day my dad and I went to the Dollar General to pick a up a few items. We go there pretty often and know the employees names and faces. While we were there a employee (who will be unnamed for privacy reasons) walks up to my dad and accuses him of stealing. Mind you I was with my dad the whole time and he didn't even do anything that would even look like stealing. So we ask the lady to see the camera of course and she says no. So we say, "Where is your evidence?" She says "I have suspicion." Now my dad is "thrown" out of the Dollar General and not supposed to come back. I will never waste my time on their store again. Rude employees...

I shop at the Dollar General on south side in Paducah KY and more often than not when I get home with my items something is missing that I paid for. Today I went & bought a few items, 7 to be precise, & when I got home I was missing one item. All of the other items were in one bag, food, hair color & makeup all in the same bag, everything except one package of Tuna Creations, and to top it off when I called 12 times every time I got a recording telling me they were busy serving other customers & to call back then it just hangs up. This has got to be the most unprofessional way to treat customers.

I was doing the gain sale they have on the newspaper and when I went to ring up the worker named 'Cathy' that works at the Dollar General on N Middlebelt Rd store #13537 was being very rude. I had two coupons and she said I couldn't use them although it said one on each per purchase. She was making it a big deal saying that Dollar General couldn't accept them, when I've never had a problem at any other Dollar General. This is the third time she has been rude only because she doesn't want me to use my coupons.

I always shop the store in Spruce Pine NC at 6159 Hwy 19e Store# 16504. I always go every couple of weeks and every single time I go there I find outdated products on their shelves which is ridiculous. 2 weeks ago when I was in there I found 5 outdated Miracle Whip in the plastic squeeze bottle now of them was from May 2018 so almost 1 year outdated. Then the time before that it was Clover Valley Graham crackers and like 3 boxes of them one of them was from 2017. Then yesterday I went there and purchased a container of cottage cheese mixups.

Mold found in 24 pack of Diet Pepsi 12 oz cans from Dollar General in Alden, NY 14004. Pepsico now has it and they tested it... They stated a can of pop did not open inside the packaging BUT that food somehow slipped through the handle of the packaging during delivery/shipping or at store and that it has been there a while... I ended up in the emergency room on 4/13/19 with severe asthma exacerbation and was put out of work for 2 weeks while struggled to breathe due to the mold I was exposed to in 24 pack of Diet Pepsi sold at Dollar General in Alden, NY.

Can’t believe I just popped into your store in Reidville, SC. Your young store clerk proceeded to strike up a conversation with me about **' and then went through the entire process about how you would go about making them and to which he added 'I know a few things about that stuff'.’ I think he had a few hits on the bong right before his shift started.

My lady and I shopped at the Dollar General located at 1311 Noccalula Rd, Gadsden, AL 35904 several times. The last time we were there I noticed a blond male employee (only one male and one female employee working) staring at my lady several times while pretending to work at the end of the food aisle. I just kept it cool as my baby is a stunning woman and many men stare when they first see her. It was only when we walked to the checkout line that this employee decided to run over and open a second register Right when my lady and I were next in line.

Why is it that DG will not hire a maintenance man in South Carolina. I really do not like public restrooms but when you have to you have to, unless you are at DG, I am a senior and have been told at about every DG store the John is out of order. Come on now. Do these punk they hire really think people are that stupid. I know some people make a mess in there but that does not apply to everyone, I have been told out of order so much by most DG that I think it is their corp policy.

There's been an ongoing issue with an employee at the Dollar General in Latta, SC. I've been shopping at Dollar General for years and this employee just started working there in January of 2019. This employee already had an issue with me prior to getting hired at Dollar General, but she still brought it to work whenever I when come in there to shop. The very first incident was when I walked up the register (I had no idea she was working there at first. Just saw the light was on) and when this employee saw me, she said "I don't like her," turned her register light off and walked away. One of the managers were on duty and she did absolutely nothing when me and the employee had a small argument. An employee was on BREAK but had to clock in to ring me up since the other employee wouldn't assist me and the manager wouldn't assist me for some reason. It was unreal.

I go to store #17788, whenever I go to the store during peak 85% of the time there is one cashier. Whenever you ask for help they react like you are bothering you, the manager is the main one, I know her name if you need it. She only will go out of her way with certain people. They change personnel so often that you cannot get use to the same face - only the rude manager face. If things do not change I will drive the extra few miles to pay less and have a much better select and friendlier faces.

Yesterday (March 14), I went the extra mile to get front-page advertised whole chicken at the Dollar General Market in Crossville, TN. No whole chicken was available, and when I asked for a rain check, none was given. Pure bait-and-switch. Dishonest store. When a store puts out a weekly flyer to lure people in and then refuses to honor the ad, it seems to me it ought to be illegal (I thought it was). However, the 'manager' pointed out to me the fine print on the lower edge of the back of the ad saying that "All products, styles and colors shown may not be available in all stores" and "No rain checks available". In other words, the ad was a worthless enticement. The company can advertise anything and not deliver as they please.

On 3/4 around 1135am, I was involved in an unpleasant experience. I purchased a bottle of 100ct **, 25sq. ft. of foil and an energy drink. I was prompted for cash back via machine in front of me and clicked 40 dollars. For the first time ever, as soon as the register opened, the cashier told me, "Oh well you didn't tell me you wanted cash back." I told her, "Why would I have to?" I was asked through the machine. She said, "Oh well I might not have any change in the drawer." I then notified the cashier that it wasn't my problem. I notified the manager of this situation as well.

The stores that I have visited are very dirty, disorganized. Dollar General using bait and trick to get customers in the store to not honor digital coupons and targeting the poor and physically disabled in bait and switch.

Wakefield NE 68784 - When I learned we were to get a Dollar General store in our town I was excited, however, it has turned out to be a huge disappointment! This store is always cluttered with carts full of cardboard or merchandise! The shelves and aisles are in disarray! There is frequently only one employee in the store which is ludicrous to think one employee can be expected to do everything! I have been told by an employee that corporate management will only allow a certain number of hours and one employee most of the time! This store gets a lot of customers but could have so many more if they would take care of their staff and store! I pray that Corporate Management will 'get a clue' and realize their net gain will be greatly improved by taking care of their employees and in turn their customers!

If you shop this store you must question every price. It's obvious they deceive customers by putting cheaper prices under items more expensive. The prices posted can be for a size they never carry. Racks of items with up to % off. The entire rack will have very few markdown items. A "clearance" section will be full of items that are full price. OBVIOUS INTENTIONAL FRAUD!!!

I frequent the Dollar General two to three times a week. Always very busy. Employees always nice... ** is the one that keeps this store up and running. He is always nice, professional and goes the extra mile to make your shopping an easy stress free trip. Have shopped at other Dollar Generals but always come back to the one at 1553 Whiskey Rd in Aiken... for the fast, friendly service... Only thing missing here is an up to date store like the other Dollar Generals in the area... or a new one in the area... of Southside Aiken. Wouldn't shop at a new one unless I can follow my friendly, hardworking workers that so many have grown to appreciate for their loyalty to the customers they serve.

2/1/19 at about 5:20 pm - At the 2130 S. Broad street store in Trenton, NJ. The store let a customer walk around the store with their dog. I tried to move away and the lady kept saying "He doesn't bite" as she is pulling him back and kept letting the leash out about 10 feet from her in the small store. I got out of line to get away from the dog. Then she came around the store with the dog again. The store clerk did not ask her if she had a license to bring that dog in. The lady did not care who she upset over the dog. The cashier looked confused as to what to do. There was no reason why the young man could not take the dog outside while the lady did her shopping. I don't want shop with animals. I am certain it is not a service dog. So I will not shop for food with dogs - in your stores. Shame, I like the store other than that.

Why does Dollar General park their shopping carts outside in unacceptable weather conditions. Handles are so cold or hot to touch. Unacceptable to keep shopping carts outside in 20 degree weather. I would think they would want carts comfortable for shoppers to shop and fill them up. Walmart & Dollar Tree keep their carts inside and out of the Weather.

About two nights ago I went in to do a little shopping and while I was looking around a store associate greeted me while offering her assistance if I needed help finding anything. I thanked her and finished up my shopping. When I went to cash out I quickly noticed I had splurged and did not have enough money on me to pay for everything. So we began voiding some items. The same associate who had greeted me earlier was showing me other items that were basically the same as mine just a bit cheaper, trying to bring my total down to a comfortable number. I was very thankful on top of being embarrassed for holding up the rest of the store as long as I had. So then I paid cash for about half, a gift card, and then when I went to slide my debit card it, of course, was not working either, apparently, I had locked my account up earlier that day and was not aware.

Store #15291 Jackson MS. 2019-01-11 19:09:36. The two cashier were playing, and it smells like alcohol at the front. It was like I was at a club and I do not club or drink. The dark-skinned female sending customers out her line to wait on her friends. I do not think that is fair. Children should stay at home. I really hate to go to that store but I say to myself maybe they have gotten better but to be disappointed they haven't. The dark-skinned female says "I don’t care nothing about it. I works for Nissan". My question is, "Why are you in Dollar General with POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE". The light-skinned Male had his light off at the register so how will the customer know that he were working at the time. This store is so sad.

The store is in Columbus In. on Jonathon Moore Pike. The employees are friendly. But, the store was a mess. Carts everywhere with merchandise on them. Very difficult to get through the store. Shelves needed to be stocked. The store used to be nice, but it has gone downhill.

I went in the store on the 12/29/2018 at 4:00 pm to purchase a pack of cigarettes. One of the ** cashier told me that I needed a ID to purchase them or anything in the store. I explained to her that I was 57 yrs old with gray hair. She said that it did not matter, because this was Dollar General store policy. The lady behind me (who was **) asked the cashier if she also had to show ID to purchase her cigarettes, and the cashier replied no... She didn't. "I told the cashier that that didn't make any sense" at all, to why she would refuse to sell to me for not having proper identification, but have no problem selling to other customers without proper ID. The lady behind me asked if she could purchase the item for me, and she was told no by the cashier. I asked to speak to the store manager, and the same cashier said that she was the manager. And that she would not ring up anything without me showing her proper ID, because it was company policy.

This complaint is about your store in Rensselaer, Indiana 47878. I had not been to your store in my town in about 3 years and I got the “we don’t give a **” feeling as soon as I walked in the door, because on every cart that people were pushing around including mine, the wheels were squeaking like crazy (and I mean on every cart). You have no idea how disrespectful stuff like this is, because it is a big middle finger to your customers and it says “We just don’t give a ** here, because we are too lazy to even oil the cartwheels”.

I shop at the store in Fort McCoy FL and the people Dollar General has working are just unbelievably amazing. They all work so hard. Today I was in there and they all was working very hard and a very rude customer start complaining and throwing a fight because she was second in line. Saying management is terrible talking trash to the employees. The most disturbing thing I’ve seen and to be honest it had me very shocked that a person could act like that. The new store manager they have in there now is just amazing. She works hard. I see her in there every day. I go in sometimes I wonder if she ever goes home. Even the other employees has said she pulls 14 to 25 hours in just a day. Says she work and overnight and then stays for more than half the day. I’m sorry but I don’t think I could do that. She seems very dedicated to this store.

I went to my local Dollar general store in Wooster Ohio, Cleveland Rd., to purchase cigarette tubes. Taylor ** waited on me and asked for an I.D. which I hadn't brought. My daughter, who is 40, went in to buy them for me while I ran home to get my I.D. In less than 10 minutes, they had called the police on my daughter for loitering. As I pulled in the parking lot of the store I was confronted by a police officer who ran my driver's license as I explained the situation. While my daughter was waiting, she witnessed employees selling tobacco products to customers obviously younger than I, without asking for I.D. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office as this was a disgrace for my grandsons who were with us, my daughter, and myself. I do not recommend this store as there is no employee training or consistency in their policy.

I was trying to find a water fountain somewhere so I could get some free water because I didn’t have money on me at the time. While searching for one in the store I asked one of the workers (this one was restocking at the time) if the store had one and she had said it had been out of order for a while but that they had some water bottles in the break room which she would give me for free. I know it wasn’t that big of a deal but I was really thirsty at the time so it meant a lot that I could get some for free. Well definitely shop at Dollar General more often. PS this was the one off highway 49 in Seminary MS.

The mgr April in 5Points in Tuscaloosa Alabama is a rude witch. I have contacted the corp office and will be contacting a lawyer. She had her stocker follow me in the store. I guess she thought since I was ** I was gonna steal a Dollar gift bag. I been shopping here for several months spending several hundred dollars on cleaning supplies for a company I work for. Never shopping here again. Be mindful April not everyone in Tuscaloosa steals.

I’ve seen pictures on Google reviews and must say they are so outdated. This store has changed dramatically over the past year. Those old pictures are obviously from the slob that ran the store a year ago and the rude staff. I come to this store probably 3-5 times a week and I have to say it’s always clean. The managers are friendly and the staff follows suit. Good job guys!! Keep up the good work and I’ll always come back!!

I have been in this store several times unfortunately. I was in there today and boxes that were sitting in the aisles two to three weeks ago are still there. You can't find anything because stuff is stuffed and stashed everywhere. The food section was more organized but I would look at the expiration dates before I purchased anything that is ingested or can expire. Lines are crazy with 1 register open and eight people in line. They tried to rip me off when I purchased items marked 50 percent off claiming it was the register. Abilene beware. What a filthy rip-off.

The store (Bryantsville KY Dollar General) is dirty and messy. There is always merchandise sitting in the floor and the floors are always grimy and dirty. The Health Department needs to step in and close this location down. There is usually only one employee working and the lines always seem to back up. The most important thing is that the store is very dirty!!
