    Very kind staff with out of order restrooms for 2 plus years. I live in Bennington and have 3 DGs to choose from. I'm 50+ and I pee frequently. How hard is it to get the bathrooms going again? Is it laziness of employees or company policy. There are similar issues in Manchester where there is a homeless issue but that shouldn't be the problem in Hillsboro NH.

    I came here with my mom I asked a worker if they had dumplings. "NO WE do Not" in a disrespectful voice. Never asking her again. 2 stars. Hopefully nobody will come here ever again especially me. Never again.

    Can't quite understand why the Dollar General store in Lester Prairie isn't maintained better providing a better experience for it's customers. With the last two snowballs, the parking lot hasn't been plowed. When using checkout #1, the card reader doesn't work properly. Then, the big store sign hasn't been lit up. Who is actually responsible for maintenance of these properties?

    Was at the Atlantic Beach store and a man I guess was the dimensions, Danny was his name, was the biggest idiot, yelling at co workers in front of customers, Dollar General must be desperate for workers, he wouldn't be an employee of mine....

    I went to the dollar general in Decatur Il on East Eldorado at 2:30 pm and the lady working there said they were closed. I thought they closed at 8pm. When I asked her when would they open back up she said after they got the items off the floor.

    You recently remodeled your store in Riverside iowa. I was in that store today & I'm not impressed. I couldn't get to the frozen food section because there were 3 people stocking. They never offered to move out of my way. I asked them about an item, & they responded by saying we are out of that item & we don't know when we will get anymore in. (VERY RUDELY) In my opinion, you wasted a lot of money to make the place worse than it already was. Perhaps you should have spent your money to pay better wages and hire better help. Needless to say I didn't buy anything. I exited the store & drove 20 miles out of my way to shop at Wal-Mart & had a pleasant experience there. And I will NEVER darken the doorstep of Dollar General again. Your customer service SUCKS!!!! Sincerely, Margaret

    Deland, Florida. Store #13220. Store Manager, Tanya. Store items are always placed in different spots and I continue to be overcharged. This happens too often! It seems like too often the items hanging where the label tags are named and price differently that's what's there. I don't say anything half the time but come ooon! The new manager is NOT friendly and doesn't really care by her actions, even today. ONE item was overpriced by $6. When mentioned, the manager was annoyed. I watched her walk away from a customer that trying to communicate with her! He was left standing there with issue unresolved. This is sooo sad! I HAVE to go elsewhere now. Where did the humanity and customer service go.

    I live in Carbondale Illinois. It has 3 Dollar General stores. I have chose to not go back to a dg forever at this point... Every dollar store I go to all the "employees" are never at the register. I have to physically walk around the store to find a "employee" to check me out. It's very frustrating and time consuming where I don't always have time for this crap... I made a suggestion to management to maybe put a bell or squeaky toy or something to alert these " employees" that people are waiting in a line... They told me it's " corporate rules" against having a way to alert someone that people are ready. That is ridiculous and until something is changed I won't go back. I know you don't care about one person because you don't need my money... But this is a huge issue to me and the people always in line because they are afraid that when someone goes to find your people lose their place in line as well.

    We were recently in DG on Hwy 469 in Florence, MS and we are under a boil water notice. We had visited the restrooms and you can’t wash your hands due to the nasty water. We brought it to the attention of the cashier that they should put sanitizer in there due to not being able to wash your hands because of the dirty water. She said she wasn’t authorized to store use hand sanitizer. Isn’t that a health sanitary issue? When we got to the checkout we were then told that they didn’t have bags so we were told that they couldn’t do nothing about it. We had to load all our items in our vehicle without bags. What kind of store are we running? You should accommodate to the paying customer. The store is closed a lot of days as it is. The attitudes from the employees needs to be addressed from how they respond to customers. We have been regulars there. We have seen workers come and go there. We need to see change there.

    The Dollar General 2 times in Whiting has been closed due to lack of not plowing. The Lacey location was closed this time with no plowing as well. The inconvenience for the clientele that shops at both are astronomical and there is no reason to be closed down. I’m very disappointed because they were both closed and lots weren’t plowed when all business around like Walgreens and bank were opened.

    I walked into the Dollar General and a man that worked there said, “Could you leave your bag up here, miss?” Asking me to leave my CLEAR mini backpack up at the front. I said, “Sure. Where do you want me to leave it?” And he said, “I’ll just put it behind here.” And he placed it behind the counter. So I wasn’t going to let my backpack with my wallet and money go unguarded. So I stayed up at the front to guard my bag. The man stayed up there until he realized my boyfriend and I weren’t going anywhere, we were going to stay and watch my backpack. He then walked off with a broom and started to sweep the store. I guarded my bag the entire time my sisters were going to get what they needed from the store. I have never been asked to leave my bag upfront and I won’t do it again.

    The man who asked me to leave my bag upfront was sagging, and playing rap music on his phone he had in his back pocket. I didn’t get a good vibe about him at all. I don’t care if he asked me to leave my bag upfront because there is a stealing issue at dollar general. I have never stolen. Not to mention AGAIN, my bag was completely clear. So you would have been able to tell if I took anything. Absolutely weird and ridiculous.

    Was charged $18.75 for a 3 for $12.00 deal. Idiot cashier refused to fix it. Called 'customer service' last week, was told the area manager would contact me and needless to say, there has been no response. Dollar General hires anything with a pulse, even the ones who can't do 1st grade math.

    I want to give huge praises to Store Manager, **, at Dollar General #14350, 9711 Vaughn. Her leadership really shows in how well the store is run.     I shop at this store only because it is a small town. Otherwise, I would never go there. The ladies that work at night are amazing. They are incredibly kind, helpful and professional. The ladies (so-called management) that work during the day are incredibly rude, look down on you and treat you badly. I wonder if they would continue to treat me this way if they knew what I did for a living. They have their nose so high in the air, it's a wonder they can breathe. They need to learn to respect ALL of their customers. They need to understand that they have no idea the power people have on keeping their job. Just be respectful and kind to all of your customers. But a shout out to the amazing ladies that work the night shift. They get it.

    The Dollar General employees in McGehee, AR are rude and disrespectful. (Not all but majority.) The store is always chaotic and you can never get down an aisle without having to maze around the boxes on boxes of inventory. The employees don’t ask if they can help you get a product, they just keep staring and standing in the aisle like you’re in their way and bothering them. There’s never anyone at the register. When you call out for help to check out they take their sweet time getting to the register and complain they had to check you out. I’ve left buggies full on several occasions because of the wait time of waiting for an employee to come to the register.

    I went to Dollar General Wednesday, January. The 21st in Jeffersonville, Indiana on Allison Lane. It was the worst experience I've ever had in my life as I did my shopping, I noticed the 3 girls on night shift following my man and I. Then all of a sudden the a man comes over the intercom, and says theft will not be tolerated at the store. We will call the cops. He talked for 3 minutes long about stealing.

    My man is ** and felt very uncomfortable in the store. As we were leaving, the police were outside a black gentleman was talking to the police employees inside called the police on this gentleman. Because the man went through the line, bought a 2 l and tried to do cash back. Their cash back did not work so he bought the gentleman's food that was in the store and then the gentleman tried not to pay the ** man. Out front, the employees had him trespass from the property. That man did nothing wrong. It was sad the way they treat people at this store. As long as those three girls work there, I will NEVER go back!

    Sometimes they have good deals and I can find stuff in stock, getting any help, even getting someone to check me out is a crap shoot. They do not offer coupons that work so I don't buy much there, sometimes the deals are better elsewhere. Often the aisles are too cluttered to even try looking for something.

    On January 19, 2026, I had a negative experience a the Dollar Generalstore located in Warsaw. (10:47am). The employee who assisted me, was rude, unprofessional, and not helpful when I asked for assistance. The employee spoke to me in an unpleasant manner and showed no interest in providing customer service, which made me feel uncomfortable and disappointed. I am a regular Dollar General customer and expect respectful and professional treatment. I hope this matter is addressed to improve customer service at this location.

    DG Store# 12724. 6901 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL 33023. Store Mgr: **. Shopping at this store was quite disappointing. The item priced on the shelf was different from what was scanned at the register. I advised the manager, and he was not only rude but combative. False advertisement is against the law, as is stealing from your customer. I've sent an email to Corporate to bring the issue to their attention. I'm not certain what to expect, but if Corporate is anything like this store, I understand the problem. Attitude reflects leadership, make no mistake.

    They do not honor the prices advertised or even offers that are shown on their website. Prices at register are $1-$3 more than their website price. When showing the manager my list her reply was, "I don’t know about coupons or anything like that." I told her these are not coupons, they are your prices as advertised on your website. 9 out of 10 items I had her return to the shelves. So dissatisfied, back to Dollar Tree I go. At least they are honest and stand behind their prices. This company is ripping people off, I don’t know how they are getting away with this scam.

    Dollar General on Munson Highway in Milton, FL is ripping people off. They do not give you a receipt. Well, the reason they don't give you a receipt is because a lot of prices that are on the shelf says one price, but when it rings up, it's often higher. None of the workers nor the manager offers you a receipt, so apparently, they are all in on it.

    I only put 1 star cause there no ZERO STAR. Well today I went to Dollar General in Nashville NC 2 times. I was getting things for work. I got to the register and the employee was stocking or something but not at register. She said, "Be there in a minute." Well that was 10 minutes. After she rang me up she never said thank you but just walked off. I looked around and said I forgot something. She said loudly God lady with attitude. I left without getting the bandages that I need after I cut my hand trying to get my receipt.

    Later about 2 I went back and was taking back something that was broken I saw the manager. Yes he was busy with a box cutter in his mouth. I said, "Excuse me." He said, "Yea what do you want?" I just looked at him. He then took the box cutter from his lips and said, "I had this in my mouth again" asking rudely, "What do you want lady," I turned and said, "This store has very rude and the most attitudes I’ve ever seen." He said, "No one here has an attitude." Well if you look attitude up in the dictionary both of their pics would be there. I will never go back there again. It’s said I have to go out of my way to shop somewhere when there’s a Dollar General right here where I work and live. Thanks for NOTHING.

    Bought a small, battery-operated Christmas item. Upon opening, found out it was damaged. Returned to store - was told in a non-friendly way I was unable to return for a refund. Was able to exchange for the last same item, but it doesn't work. Now I'm out my money. It didn't cost much, but am disappointed that there is no other option, not even store credit. Better ask about return policy before buying anything. Won't buy there again.

    This review is for the ghetto Dollar General at 3325 45th Street highland Indiana. The employees here seem a bit racist! I've shopped in this store over 10 times and I'm a woman of color. Mind you any other race walks in and I hear, "Hi. Welcome to dollar general." Everything I walk in I get greeted with nasty looks. Dollar general corporation please DO BETTER and train Your employees about ethics and treating every customer the same! I will no longer spend my hard earned cash at this ghetto racist dollar general. Even the employees of color only speak to the ** customers. WOW. What a lost generation of workers and I mean all races at this store. DO BETTER!

    I am a stage 4 terminal patient who stopped in Mansura, Louisiana Dollar General. Once wife completed purchase I tried to start truck and battery wasn’t strong enough. I walked in store and asked young man at register if I could get a boost. At that moment, Dollar General district manager Sheila **, turns to me and states even if she could help me, she wouldn’t. That is not leading by example. I didn’t even ask her for help but that snide remark will keep me and family from doing business at any Dollar General due to her poor attitude. She does not deserve that position due to lack of her people skills. Rudest individual I ever spoke to.

    Store on West Fourth Street in Mansfield, Ohio, is not only filthy. But their customer service is rude and they also need to have the codes and permits to replace their parking lot. Wife almost broke an ankle getting out of car. These are not small potholes. Why do they allow these stores if they're not going to upkeep them. Prices don't match what they have marked. Something really strange about this store.

    I went to the Dollar General on East Orange ave in eustis and I go there on the regular. It's close by. Like the store. But on this day a cashier needed the manager with a line of people. He told the manager he needed change, she told him to wait while she bring in the merchandise from outside while there's a line in the store. She then walks in, look at everyone and walk back outside to finish bringing in the store merchandise while everyone is waiting on her. Bad, very bad management but she didn't care. Very upsetting. I'm sure nothing's going to be done. It's a popular store for the community. Good location.

    Leave sales banners and will not honor them. Will not go back to store. A female employee was very rude and would not refund any of my money. They had sales banners showing Cokes as 3 for $12. Looked at receipt and they had charged me $8.95 for each 3. Went back in and they would not take Cokes back or refund me any money. She was not going to help me.

    I grew up shopping at Dollar General and always viewed it as a reliable, community-based store. Unfortunately, since moving to Norwalk, my experience at this particular Dollar General has been consistently and overwhelmingly negative. The employee morale at this location is the worst I have encountered anywhere—worse than Walmart, which is saying something. The atmosphere is hostile and unwelcoming. Most of the staff appear irritated by customers’ presence, as if being asked to do their job is an inconvenience. Eye-rolling, huffing, and openly annoyed behavior are routine, especially when employees are asked to come to the register to check customers out instead of continuing to stock or do other tasks.

    There is one younger male employee who is polite and upbeat, and his attitude stands out—but unfortunately, he is rarely there. The majority of the staff are consistently unfriendly, dismissive, and unkind. This has been the norm for the five years I’ve lived here, not a one-off bad day. For context: I worked in customer service for years. I understand bad days, staffing issues, and difficult customers. I do not expect excellence. I expect basic decency—a neutral tone, professionalism, and not being made to feel like an inconvenience for spending my money in your store.

    I don’t know what Dollar General pays its employees, but if these same individuals have been here for years with this level of resentment toward customers, something is fundamentally wrong—either with management, expectations, compensation, or accountability. As of today, I will no longer shop at this Dollar General, and I am strongly considering avoiding Dollar General altogether. If I cannot shop at the store in my own town without being treated poorly, I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere. I work hard for my money. All I’m asking for is basic courtesy—or at the very least, not open hostility—for choosing to spend it here.

    I was at the iowa falls Dollar General today and Teresa the assistant manager was checking out my items. I bought a charger that said it was 8 dollars and I had $11. She scanned my charger and said it was $12.85. I said what and she said it’s $12.85 with a very rude tone. One of my friends was with me and she paid the other $1.85 for me. She was very rude for no reason. She was also very rude to elder that was having troubles figuring out how to use it.

    I wrote this review with a smile. I regularly visit the store at 3250 Highway 81 W in Hampton GA. When I tell ** has turned this store around 100 percent. I used to come in to the store being full of loading shelf carts blocking all aisles and not much on the shelf. He has slowly and whole heartily turned this around, it's clean and hard ever anything blocking the aisles. He is very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Always a smile.     Having repeatedly been asked to show my ID, and remove it from the wallet so they can scan it: today I asked why. It was because I was purchasing a can of spray paint. Rest assured; I'll buy my paint a mile down the road in the future. It is idiotic that Dollar General forces customers to produce, and scans, ID's when purchasing products. Americans do not have to show ID to buy paint: or gasoline for that matter. That's a choice by Dollar General that just lost them this customer: for all products! Perhaps the people they believe, in their warped minds, they are trying to protect will continue patronizing them: not us!

    Absolutely the worst in America. They build them everywhere in mostly rural areas and then treat patrons like we're here for them and not the other way around. Their business model SCREAMS we don't give a sh*t about our customers. From 1 register being open at peak business times to freezers constantly breaking down Dollar General is a great example of how NOT to run your business. Keep it up and you'll fade away because you set the bar so low that it won't take much for a smart competitor to come along and replace you.

    Dollar General has been purposely putting low prices on items in the store but when you get to the register they ring up way more than what is listed. Overcharging is illegal. Stop stealing from customers! I purchased a hair brush that showed $2.95 but it ring up $5.25 at the register. I purchased a tobacco product that was $0.99 but it rung up $1.23.

    Have now been standing 3 hours since 8:00 am this morning waiting on your Corporate offices to fix the issue. The discount is not applying to the gift cards as advertised. The line has reached the back of the Store in anticipation. Your Amityville location has been extremely rude and telling people the cards with the discount sold out- or they don’t have any card and the last one in the most rude way is you can not bring a card from Wellwood store.

    Understanding fully you can not anticipate system failures a work around should have been presented when after two hours we were still being told it was a system wide problem that was being worked on. So I continued to wait of course as I needed to purchase over 30 cards- 20 of which were Roblox, oddly enough when I asked how it worked so well two weeks ago but now had a system error no answer.

    I waited while The line grew to the back of the store something your cameras will confirm as the first customer attempting to purchase from 8:15 until I just left at 12:00 noon now considerably late for work. Your store flier says that the Bath and Body and Uber Eats are 20% off the ad in your App is 30% off today only. This I was also told was a system error that was not fixed.

    While we waited another Mom came in and advised the cards Lindenhurst has are the wrong cards. It is the all black card not the one we all have been waiting on for 4 Hours with the blue edge on top. My question would be why did tech support or wherever Rob called not ask this question and or advise us of the same. Lack of communication across all Levels seemingly as Rob was nice enough to let us know. He also Called his BOSS and was advised all of this.

    Essentially I left with 12 Uber Eats at 20% discount and 4 Bath And Body only 20% discount not 30% as both should be. This is bad business and false advertising having worked in retail I KNOW there was a fix and manual override that could have been processed…Something for a full 4 hours of inconsistency and inconvenience. I called the District Manager Chris twice, also leaving this same information in a message. Looking forward to your response. 24 Days of Saving not honored.

    I went to Dollar General today, located at 209 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150. I went to buy laundry detergent, and found Arm & Hammer with Oxi. It would be $9.50 without the attached coupon. The cashier I thought at first was kind, told me to remove the coupon, he said he had torn one earlier. I proceeded carefully to remove the coupon and it tore one piece off. He told me I could not use the coupon because I tore it. There was a long line on customers and he threw the coupon in the trash. It had the coupon number clearly on the coupon. He charged me full price, and was very rude about it. I was rude back because he had no solution to the problem. I bet that happens more than to just me. I'm a single grand parent with little money, and he had no customer service at all. I guess it's true that DG is losing business cause there's problems like this going on. Been a customer for years.

    I attempted to purchase four Christmas rugs that were on a shelf with a sign indicating that “indoor-outdoor decor” was buy one and get one half off. Exclusions listed were lights and trees. The rugs rang up without the discount. When I questioned this, the cashier called over her manager, who said rugs were excluded because they are not decor since “you can walk in them.” I asked why hats are included since you can wear them, and questioned if they are actually “indoor/outdoor decor.” The sign clearly could not list everything (oven mitts, placemats, glasses, etc.) and just indicated “indoor-outdoor decor” and the exclusion of lights and trees. Very frustrating, and not the first time this has happened with misleading signage. I have spent a lot of money at Dollar General, but I am done.

    I was shopping at Dollar General in west Haverstraw route 9w New York doing a delivery job. Had to pick up some items for a customer which I was having trouble finding items it was close to the closing time which is 10pm. I started getting rushed out by an employee which I understand since they are trying to close but while trying to help me checkout I was dealing with issues on the app so it was hard to move forward with checkout. Throughout the entire incident the employee was expressing how annoyed and angry this is making him because he wants to go home and I’m keeping him from leaving on time. I was telling him sorry it’s not my fault showing that I understand but he continued to show me attitude and making comments about my him getting angry that he wants to leave in front of me. It made me feel very uncomfortable, pressured and rushed so I canceled order because I didn’t have time to contact delivery support to help with my issue.

    Overall it was a very uncomfortable experience and made me feel stressed and upset when I went home because I feel I was treated poorly with very little respect. I didn’t mean to be an inconvenience but you don’t have to make comments telling me you're angry you want to go home showing me his frustration. It was still before 10 pm so why should I get that type of treatment when I was trying to be polite and understanding of the staff workers point of view. Those type of comments should be kept to yourself. But it was very unprofessional and I shouldn’t have to go home feeling upset or uncomfortable because a customer service worker was rude to me. Management needs to do better with how they train their employees to conduct themselves and deal with stressful situations.

I read an article about a class action suit for a couple of years ago and in that read, a representative, had said they "promise to make things right" and more bs lies. The entire management team in every store, every district and their headquarters, all lie. I've never seen a vastly dysfunctional big corp this awful before. They're on the same level as AMZ.     This encounter was so wrong on many different levels. Firstly, upon entering the store the center is right in your face and you must choose to either go straight or right. No customer foot travel space was taken into consideration. The display was clumsy, offering at least 20 different items at a "discount" rate (yeah ok!). I came into the store with a few items in mind. But as usual I saw a few "advertised deals" and I proceeded to check the parameters of the weights and brand to MAKE SURE that I'm going to actually receive my discount at the register. Ok so I go around picking up about $75 worth of this DOLLAR GENERAL stuff. And I make my way over to the check out counter.

    There were two other customers there in front of me and I waited patiently as they made small talk, and were checking out. But one thing certainly caught my attention. The lady that was working for DG was coughing and sneezing WITHOUT wearing a protective mask. She is obviously infected and shouldn't be allowed to make the innocent public sick! But whatever! I asked her to ring up my discounted items first to ensure that I get the discount for the product. Ughhhh! It was supposed to be 3/$8 Kellogg's.130z-20 oz And all three of the boxes that I chose fell within that parameter. This person that they have doing their (DG's) seemed to take it quite personal! It was just her mug, she was not happy with it??? So I mentioned it to her that "it's not my fault that DG is trying to steal from me." But it's not the fact that I'm ready to throw in the towel on shipping at a DG.

    I'll never EVER go back into the one in Tate at the 4-way. I wish that another store kind of like them (except without the thieving) would be built right next to them! But she just kept giving me obvious disdainful looks!! I told her to keep the stuff, Ohhhh that's what she has been waiting for the Whole time. "GET OUT!" She demands! "Don't you ever come back." I was somewhat taken aback by her aggressive stance, I was leaving, just, SHUT UP! Why would I want to come back anyways.? Oh so she calls out to the manager, ohh Jordaineyah I hears! As I'm leaving, The irate manager Comes out of the store as I'm trying to leave! What's the problem? Exacerbating the issue even further! Man I tell you what! These are some hateful folks.     Where do I begin? Store manager ** has to be the worst manager ever. It never fails, anytime a customer goes in there on her shift, you will find a line two blocks long and one cashier on the register. I don't know if she is not very good at working a register but it seems like that is the last place she would rather be. It is very dissatisfying as a paying customer to enter a store where there should be several trained employees able to work a register, instead you enter Dollar General at 673 Chancellor Avenue Irvington NJ 07111 on ** shift and you just clocked in to a wait shift.

    Just today, 11/26/25 I walked in and this manager was on register. Two seconds later, she is off the line is a block long when she leaves and she doesn't think to put an employee on an additional register to assist the one cashier. I sincerely feel for the employees tasked to work a shift with her as it has to be unbearable working with a manager such as herself who refuses to pull customers to another register to break down the block-long line. This particular store #13399 would run so smoother if this lady no longer was employed at that store. Her managerial skills are at the lowest point of managing. If you plan to visit this particular store call in to see if ** is working, if so, go another day.

    7:10 PM on November 22 I went in to the Newton location Dollar General. I had the email showing the price of 4 6 packs of Mountain Dew and Pepsi products for $14. It said good for three days November 20 through the 22nd. Nowhere in the ad did it mention that it ends at 7 PM on Saturday the 22nd the manager at the Newton Dollar General store or should I say keyholder I wouldn't think she's a manager. Would not accept the email that I showed her. She told me the prices changed at seven and nowhere on there did it say that it changes at seven. This is very upsetting to me. It is a misrepresentation of an advertisement. I'm just thoroughly upset with this location because I regularly shop here. I'm talking three times a week but you know what that ends today😞

    This happens regularly. I was overcharged 50 cent to a dollars more than what the item was supposed to be. That's how they rip people off. Most people don't bother looking at their receipts. Then DG makes it difficult to take it off. The nice cashier check the overcharged items and made it right for me but now I have to wait 3 days for it to come off my card. DG would have $6 dollars more than they should. This is wrong. I will avoid DG from now on. I don't like being ripped off!

    Over a $16 dollar memory card you have lost all my business forever. I will never be back. The clerk sold me what she saw instead of what I asked for. There was a long string of receipts- I was not handed one, I took the last one in the chain and threw the rest in the trash to be nice since no one else had. It was bunched up in my hand when I got in the car. I opened it up at home, excited to get started, and it was the wrong product. Damn. I threw it back in the bag to exchange because the internet had said there were 5 of the correct item in stock. But when I get back, she does NOT have the right item, and will not take it back 10 minutes later. So I get home and find the crumpled receipt, toss it in the bag, and head to the other dollar general to get what I originally wanted (website says 2 in stock @ 2nd location). I'm now a little irritated at home. Much effort my lazy day is becoming but it's OK.

    I get the the 2nd store. They also don't have it AND the receipt I took out of the store- the last in that line chain of trash all other customers had left and that the cashier DOESN'T EVEN HAND YOU) wasn't even my receipt, it was some coupon that comes off separately so you THINK you took your own receipt! Nonsense. I left that trash on the counter and left the parking lot of the yellow monster for the last time ever. Terrible customer service, terrible policies, terrible inventory, never again.

    I live in Pontiac, Il and our Dollar General is like most except we do not have a fresh produce section. The store is large with a great variety in every department. the employees are friendly and the store is usually very clean. Unless it is truck day, you may see the occasional cart full of restock items sitting about as the cashier restocks in between assisting customers. But what makes our store special is the manager Judy. She is kind, funny and outgoing. Always interacting with the customers and so helpful. She has even started a wonderful "free item" cart by the register allowing customers in need to take up to 4 food items free of charge at a time. This is an amazing way to help those in need in the current economy. As well as a kind and loving way to give back to the community. Judy is both a joy and a blessing!

    I had a friend give me a ride to the store known as "dg" or Dollar General to get a few necessities. (I can only very rarely and sparingly buy anything for myself not even underclothes or outerwear for that matter, since my funds are still currently not accessible to myself but very much accessible to the family that stole my Oxygen debit card among other things.) I have also had my Go2bank debit card stolen and used, and I can't personally get into my original Cash App account to use it though many many other people are apparently able to receive my money although I still can't. They've also hacked my cash app Bitcoin account and an array of other things).

    I need more help with the problems than I care to really realize or mention because to fully realize that fact would also be to know that I am nothing to anyone I've ever known for any reason other than to steal from me and laugh right in my face as they use up everything I have or would have had. If they had even considered me to be of any type of value as a person or anything else, because I'm a great many things more than what they see and ridicule every single day. They don't realize that they are definitely disrespecting someone or something that will ultimately either help you or make you all a dead and burned out hull of a used to be possibly prosperous planet and people, but will probably just end up exactly what they are deserving of and everything they see me as.?.. Nothing.

    Case in point, Raquel at dollar general is a terrible person and tried to publicly humiliate me for no reason apparently. What did she see that the cashier boy, Alejandro (Alex) did not identify me as? The difference between the two of them is simply the quality of a person and their eternally immortal soul (Alex) or the dirty disarray of the raquel thing evident in her every undetailed detail of ugliness in her very un-immortal soul, I'm very sure. One is good quality and one is not. You choose which one you think is right and righteous. ::shrug:: Either way I paid for my items I got at dollar general. With my sparse money from my non designer cheapest disposable looking "purse" that I believe is the reason for my persecution by that subpar person who should definitely not be able to work at dollar general or in the public.

    When I originally went to the store I was charged for four packs of cigs but only received 3. When I questioned the price I was told cig prices went up. After purchasing cigs at another DG found out prices did not change. Went back to DG on Lake Ave, was told by manager that there is nothing she could do, call corporate. After 7 days of calling corporate and being assured I would receive a call back in 24hrs every time. After me finally getting ahold of the DM by calling a different store for his number. After talking to DM found out the store manager could have solved the problem easily but refused to do her job causing the issue to escalate. Also could have gave me # for DM which she refused to do.     Dollar General on HWY 341 S. Hawkinsville is the address says this is a FedEx drop point. I entered the store with a package, told the cashier I was dropping off and they took my package and set it down with other packages behind the counter in front of the tobacco on the floor. I waited and waited for Apple to send me verification that my device was fixed. I contact Apple yesterday and they said they never received it. I stated I used the mailing label they provided. They asked if it was a store or drop box. I told them where and they said to contact them.

    I then called the store. A gentleman asked me what it looked like. I told him rectangle box one the shape slides would come in wrapped in brown paper. He looked and couldn’t find it. I told him if my IPad didn’t show up we would have a problem. 5 minutes later he calls me back with his manager yapping in the back how she had my Ipad. They opened the box and threw the box away.

    First of all the label had my return address and name on it. Secondly the iPad had 2 pages taped to it with my Name, Address, Phone, Email, Claim Number and my card info: I go up, get the iPad and I am locked out of it. I don’t know the pin which means they put a pin on it. The District Manager calls me and says it was a mistake and it was sitting in the box in the office on a shelf the entire time. I said which is it? The box was thrown away or you still had the box with all my info? I said, "Well I am locked out of it. Someone put a PIN number on it." She said no they didn’t. She had humor in her voice like this was entertaining as she was defending them and their actions. Then she said she would meet with me and pay For more postage. First off I can’t send it to Apple with a PIN number on it that is why it was totally reset.

    So now here I sit, with my iPad I can not access, the District Manager is entertaining and relaying lies. If this doesn’t get fixed I am out of a $300 iPad that was for school and Dollar General doesn’t care. Their District Manager just called again saying they called the employee that I gave the box to to see if he put a pin on it but he hasn’t called back. She will be in the store Friday Morning if I want to meet her or have the police meet her. I have to bring my dad to the doctor so I won’t be able to be there which means she can keep blowing off the situation and continue to not take any responsibility for her store's actions and I am out of $300.

    My name is Sharon **. I purchased a gift card Gold Razer at the Dollar General today. Put $40 on it. Today is November the 4th 2025. I gave it to a friend she called and said something was wrong with the card so I called them and I was told that they could have a technician to look into what was going on with my card because he kept coming up in violent and wasn't given the $40 so she told me if I would hold on for a minute she would get a technician that could help me and I said okay. So she said it was $5. She never told me that I was joining a membership so once I put my credit card on file they took out $48 for a membership that I did not know that I was signing up for. They said they'd give me my $5 back but they wouldn't give me my $48 back for one day I did not know I am sick. I just had spinal surgery. I have to have another surgery. I am on a fixed income.

    All I wanted was to give my friend $40 so she could get food and I got her a gift card but the gift card was no good so as I proceed I didn't get any help from the technician for $5 and then I ended up getting $48 taken off my credit card that was for a bill. I have text someone that text me back telling me that he got my note about what happened. Okay but it's your card and I put my money on that card and I deserve to have my money and not invalid invalid card. Anyway he tried to get an attitude and told me he wasn't refunding me back my $48 and I just bought the card today. I did not know I was signing up for anything. I don't need to be signed up for nothing right now.

    I'm barely taking care of myself but God will fight my battles for me. I don't have to worry about that if they want to steal from people and if that's how their business get down like that to trap people into something to get $48 and they're that petty then that's what they do because they will get it all back. I'm just putting this out there for people to know that do not get that card because they will not give you your money back. They said they're not like Apple but they are. Least Apple tell you upfront they're not going to refund you once you leave the store so you know these people here are trapping you into a membership and you're not even going to use it for what all you wanted. All I wanted to do is get my $48 on my card. They never gave me a link. He told me he'd give me a link. I never got a link to go on there to file a complaint.

    Every time I ask the headman about it he gave me this bull crap about I signed up for a membership. He was not refunding it. I'll text him for almost four times. The same thing. But you know what I'm not going to waste my time anymore because if they have to go to that route to trap people into getting their money then they're sorry their business will not prosper. God will put his hands on that business and tear it down because when you hurt his chosen people his Christian people that really love him we're not perfect no we're not but there are most definitely not perfect there are shysters and they are fraughtless. They do not tell you upfront and then act like they do but they don't. Even the chat people that you have to talk to do not tell you about if you give the $5 if you put it on your credit card you will be signing up for membership. They didn't even tell me.

    The only way I found out is when I went back and to find out what was going on and that's when I found out I was in a membership of 48 dollars. They never told me. I would have checked my card to pay my bills and I am. God Will Make A Way and he will surely fight my battles for this company that is texter and I tell anyone do not get a card from them. They not only took the $48 from me. They took $40 for me on the gift card that I purchased today as well and did not give it back so they taking $88 for me. Almost $100 in one day and I said I wouldn't give their names to anyone out there.

    Please do not buy this gift card. It is fruitless because they trapped you in something that you can't get out of and they will take your money and not give it back. Please I am telling the truth. God only knows I am I am sitting here in pain. I don't need to be up this late but I am very upset because the way they did me and still have not given me about $40 back off my gift card and again the gift card is Gold Razer. Do not purchase it. If the card does not work they will trap you and it making you think they're going to help you get your money and trap you into a membership and when I give it back this is what they did to me today!!!!

    Prices displayed differ from prices charged when checking out. Coupons don’t get applied as they should, especially if a product is a bonus buy or such. More concerning is management. My experience in Urbana, Ohio was terrible. Items did not ring up correctly and coupons were not applied. Cashier was nice enough but didn’t know how to fix it. She ask if I could wait on the manager. She arrived and from the start was rude. When I tried to speak to her about my concern she got hostile and very loud all while sipping on an iced coffee. She had no interest in hearing anyone besides herself. I opted to return my items and go elsewhere.

    When the cashier returned the items the total she refunded me was more than I paid. I told he, "That’s not correct. You are giving me too much back." So she again got the manager. The manager again yelled at me and said “WE CAN’T MAKE A MISTAKE! We just scan the receipt!” I said I paid less than what you are giving me. She again repeated herself. I offered to leave my information so she could speak to someone above her who knew how to fix it. She said NO! THERE IS NO WAY FOR US TO MAKE A MISTAKE!

    With that I left the store. I did call corporate as my concern is the extra they refunded me will come out of the cashiers pocket, when she was not responsible. The manager refused to acknowledge there was a problem. Attached you will see a photo of the purchase price and the refunded amount. There is a definite lack of training and customer service, in the store is non existent. I don’t know if they are just having problems finding employees who can effectively do the job or if this is a lack of training and adequate pay to get individual who take the job seriously. I did speak to corporate and the lady on the phone was very professional.

    Stop to get hand towels. Marked $3.00. Register rang up $5.75. Showed cashier how they were marked. She called manager on speaker phone. Manager sounded she could care a less.     I want to say they're a very nice and respectful and everything. I've never had a problem really ever, he was not being disrespectful but he's supposedly was doing his job due to corporate. I understand everybody closes at 10:00 but if I'm in the store and I'm literally just got off of work, yes Granite I had a few minutes to get in there and get what I needed but you just don't give somebody 59 seconds when it turns 10:00, you guys store close at 10:00 at store number 24169 and Fort Wayne Indiana at 3201 Saint Joe Center Road Ben and dragon which was cool. They're very nice but he said, Oh well, I got to hurry you u,p you got 59 seconds to get out of here, cause corporate is getting on us because we close at 10:00."

What you guys are doing to these employees and making them do their customers is not freaking cool or was it. **, the one that told me I have 59 seconds to get out of there and I needed some allergy medicine for my kids and I couldn't even get it either, it was his doings and he lied to me or it's corporate and I find that's wrong.

    If you guys get your employees in trouble for that, okay. I just got off of work. I tried to hurry as fast as I can and I still didn't get everything I needed for my child okay but that's cool you know because I will make sure I go to a different store for now on what you just made me feel like I've been there. You guys can keep your products and everything else and whatever, I don't need it. I will go somewhere else. I will go to Family Dollar probably for now on that was totally uncalled for rude and disrespectful. At least when I go to Family Dollar and they close at 10:00, they don't give me 59 seconds to get out the door and your times must be off because on my phone it states 10:01 when I walked out your store but that's cool, y'all can keep your stuff.

    DGS employees need to be required to attend customer service workshops on a regular basis. A few months ago I caught an employee telling a customer that the coupon they were trying to use was expired. I was fixing to use the same coupon and knew it was still in date so I brought it to her (Katlyn) attention. Ever since she has been extremely rude to me. She has even taken my receipt with the upcoming coupon attached, wad it up in her hand and while looking me in the eye throw it in the trash. She'll laugh and kid around with other customers, including my husband, but her attitude towards me is unacceptable. I dealt with customers most of my working life and no matter how you feel about a particular person you still paste a smile on your face and do your job.

    This morning again I called ** the district manager in Duncanville Texas. Store 418 E. Wheatland Rd. 75116. I called ** several times and left a message. He never returned my call. Only 1 maybe 2. However on 9/08/2025, ** opened the store late, she charged my debit card with items I put on the side for my OTC card to be purchased with, she being frustrated charged everything and refunded my money on my bank card in which I told her dumb self it don't work like that, she then grabbed my bags and threw them back behind her which everyone can see on the CAMERA!     I was looking for a specific type of bin in the Middletown, CT store. I could not find them, primarily because entire aisles were blocked and even ends of aisles had shopping carts with merchandise blocking the end of the aisle and part of the main aisle. This seems like a fire code violation to me. (I may check with the local fire marshal.) Both employees I spoke with said they had to be with other bins. They are not in that place in other Dollar General stores, and there was no place on the shelf for them where the othere bins were. All items on the shelf were a higher price range.

    The employees both said, "Someone must have bought them." However, neither knew where they might be located. It was a very common item in all Dollar General stores. The last time I was in this store. The store was open, but when I entered I was told I had to leave. The employee said that the manager said to close because he was the only employee there. I will not return to this store. Needless to say, I bought nothing in this store today.

    This Obion, TN store is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The merchandise is everywhere creating a trip and fall hazard. You have a young assistant manager, dark hair, slender build, who is absolutely miserable. I have been in there three times since the middle of August to now and she's absolutely miserable. She doesn't smile, she doesn't greet you, and this is completely inappropriate for sales. She was observed stocking your shelves and throwing 50% off price tags on shelves (pics attached: taken moments are merchandise moved) where three customers, me and two others, were shopping. When we checked out, none of the stuff that we bought, that was labeled 50% off, was correct. The mislabeling was not honored. (See, we're not a rich community out here. We depend on accurate pricing, safety while shopping, and a smile wouldnt hurt.)

    A younger, newer cashier check the shelving during checkout, adjusted the merchandise and returned to the register to notify us that all the products were in the wrong place. That the Asst. Manager had just placed them there and now she was now gone for the day. This self proclaimed, night key holder, cashier did not honor the pricing. Note: She was very sweet and smiling as we entered the store. When's the last time you stocked shelves, put pricing on up, or made sure there wasn't hazards in the aisles. Managers should be proactive with staff. They should never be afraid to do what you ask of others. That's teamwork. Anyone can hold a chair down. This store is in such chaos, it's worth driving up the highway to Newbern, TN, Troy, TN, Dollar General or Union City, TN to the Dollar Tree.

    This is for the Dollar General on Mercury and Aberdeen. First off, the employees are lazy and don’t want to work! I asked one employee a question and he caught a whole attitude with me, but being that I don’t wanna see nobody out of a job, I won’t describe him. I just want them to train their staff better because I could have turned that store out, but I didn’t. He is already miserable! Second, they need to get their pricing together!! They lie! I carefully read the label to see how much something cost, I’m not just looking at the price because I know sometimes people put things in the wrong spot! When I see something is $14, then get charged $21, I challenge it, but at the end of the day, I don’t have time to go back and forth with no child about the prices. I rate this store a 1 star! Label the item correctly and retrain employees because if they don’t want to work in customer service, they need to do something else because bad employees are bad for business!

    I went to the Linden and Grand Blanc Rd store. I often shop here and never usually have any issue other than waiting in line for 25 minutes cause they only have 1 register open 3 people standing around. So I go to pay for my items. The total came to 50 dollars and some change. I only have a 100 dollar bill on me and I understand if you can’t break that big of a bill sometimes but my total would’ve only been 40 some odd dollars. Even offered to buy a few more things so I could pay. The worker turns around grabs a sign reading “not accepting 100’s 50’s or 20’s at this time” wrote in handwriting. I just left. I’ll take my business somewhere else. It’s American money and I've never ever saw a sign saying they can’t accept even a 20.

    I’ll never go to this location again and if I do I’m bringing all change. You can’t deny quarters and Pennies. I won’t need change back either. It’ll be exact :). I encourage anyone who goes to this store to do the same cause apparently you are forced to used card unless you pay exact amount even if my total was 50.89. I could give them 51 dollars and they won’t accept it. Therefore the worker whom wasn’t wearing a name tag is basically refusing to let me pay.

    I shop at Dollar General more than any other store and will be contacting ABC 12 News so people know not to waste their time waiting just to get told I can’t pay even for 50 dollars worth of groceries with a 50 dollar bill. I’d give 0 stars but the lowest option is 1. They also keep every customer's receipt with the 5 dollar off on Saturday Coupon and then scan them for their own benefit. I've witnessed the employees do that many times only at that store. Seems to me they are costing the store money not bringing it in.

    I went to Dollar General today, and when I got to the cashier, I paid with a $100 bill that was old. However, I knew it was real because I got it from an ATM. Unfortunately, Dollar General staff did not have a machine to check the bill. Instead, the cashier looked at it and started asking other customers what they thought about it, and ended up saying the bill was fake.

    I felt that what they did was very disrespectful, especially involving other customers — it put me in a vulnerable position. They should at least have a machine to verify bills. I ended up going to a local store which, although smaller than a big company like Dollar General, had the proper equipment to check the bill and confirmed that it was real.

    Called Customer Service Support through Corporate 3 times. They said they would open cases and contact me regarding the constant shaming customers receive from DG employees whenever customers log in to use the digital coupon system. This occurs at multiple locations in Pennsylvania and New York. The DG employees and Corporate don't care and then lie about supporting the customers. Publicly shaming customers for saving coupons and using them, when the company provided it is rude. The company not supporting mistreated customers, reprimanding the employees, and changing the system, makes it easier to NOT shop at DG anymore (after being a dedicated DG shopper for 30 years!).     The two stars are for the affordable prices. The store on 7134 Myrtle Ave has a loud employee who is very disruptive and rude. Every time I go to the store, I'm disturbed by his loud voice while he talks to other employees from one side of the room to another.     I visited a Dollar General store on August 29th, 2025, at 5:05 p.m. to add money to my Cash App. However, upon discovering all the funds were not applied to my account, I re-entered the store and spoke with the clerk, presenting the transaction receipts. She was unable to provide an explanation. As neither the manager nor the assistant manager was available, I was informed that I would need to return the following day, which would be Saturday, to discuss the issue with the manager. I inquired if it was possible to contact the manager at that time, to which the clerk responded that she did not have the necessary phone number. I subsequently left the store and contacted Dollar General's customer service at their 800 number, after I couldn't reach them by phone which they never answered the phone 662-591-1176.

    The representative assured me that an investigation would be conducted and my funds would be refunded. However, as today is Tuesday and Monday was a holiday, my refund has yet to be processed. I am currently awaiting a resolution to this issue. I also contacted Cash App, and they informed me that half the funds, went to my cash app account and the other went to dollar general. I am still awaiting a resolution and plan to revisit the store today with the receipts to determine the next course of action. This issue has been ongoing since Friday.

    Orange VA Dollar general. This girl has the worst customer service ever!! Not friendly at all. Never spoke to the customers. There was a lady in line waiting. She been waiting for a while when I come up in line. I told her we were ready. She screamed at me. Finally after about 3 or 4 minutes she came up after this lady I know waited 10 minutes for help. She never acknowledged that lady. When it was my turn she caught an attitude again. I had said something about the receipt machine and she was so nasty toward me...     It seems they depend on the sign and the perception you are getting a bargain but even the milk is higher than the typically higher-priced convenience store/gas station across the street. When those who are typically higher because they open early and stay late are beating your prices, should be awake up call. This generation of management doesn't have the same business sense or feel for the needs of customers. If you have less traffic that equates to less sales. Word gets around fast today.

    I have a medical condition whereby I have to urinate at unexpected times. I was at a Dollar General in PAULS VALLEY OKLAHOMA when I had to go. Having been there before I proceeded to the bathroom and had to wait while someone was using it. When the door opened it was a female manager who commenced to berate me and ordered me out of the area. I explained the medical emergency but she did not care. I gathered my wife, left her full shopping cart and will never go back! Had I thought of it I would have stood there and pissed my pants instead of doing so outside.

    Bristol TN Dollar general. Poor customer service. Went into purchase a lighter had to scan my ID. Would not take a $2.00 bill. Assistant manager came out and said I had an attitude.     I was at the Dollar General yesterday at 23rd Street and Lee's Summit Road. I was very impressed with the store. They had a very good selection of food items and the store was clean and orderly. The first one I've ever been in that was like that. I've never written a review before but I thought this one deserved it. There were no stacks of boxes sitting around. All the aisles were clear. The manager was very nice and helpful. This will be my Dollar general of choice from now on.

    I go to Dollar General at least 2 and sometimes 3 times a week. Their prices are really getting out of control for a dollar store. I know tariffs affect some things, but not all. The Totinos' pizzas 4 pk box is $9.50. They used to be less than $6 and are $7.64 in Walmart. I've noticed increases on many of their food items almost weekly. The prices in those stores are not what you'd think a dollar store would be. I know things has to go up sometimes, but I think it's more of corporate greed. Probably best to just go to another store or at least compare the prices. I'm comparing more lately and somewhere else looks like better options.

    My issue started July the 11th, purchased two flashlight with batteries, supposed to be a $1.00 each, got charged $2.00 dollars each. The young man didn't know anything about the bounty when you're overcharged. I call customer service at General Dollar the same day. Still waiting on an answer, August the 13th I called 5 times and every time I call, my call has been escalated to the highest. Still today, no answer. It's always "24 hours". Waiting again on a call. Also has some other things to return but trying to wait and see what they're going to do about my bounty. This general dollar. One thing about the company. There's other stores That I can shop at and spend my money. Saying like general donna don't want to make me whole!

    I've been shopping at Dollar General at Martin Luther King store for the past 4 years and finally they got a new manager and the store is getting well organized, clean and stocking all the products properly. Thanks to the new manage and the employees they have now. It's a pleasure to go in to a well organized store. I shop there almost every day for the past 3 1/2 years and before it was for necessity, now it's just nice to find items where they belong and the new manager it's very attentive and courteous with all customers. Thank you guys for making me save money and feel great when I go into your store.

    Dollar General stores are a joke. Every one of these stores I go into I have a problem with. The one encounter was trying to check out, but no one to check me out. I gave it 10 minutes then I left, as I was leaving All the workers were outside smoking. 4 of them to be exact. The final straw was the other night went in to grab a candy bar, noticed the small 6 packs were on sale 5-$5.00. I grab 5, girl rings me out. They weren't on sale anymore. I told her I wanted them for the sale price, she said no they can't do that. I got mad, told her to take the damn signs down then. That was my last trip in Dollar general. They can go out of business for all I care.

    These stores are a joke, they just closed one in Smyrna on Murfreesboro rd in tn. The other store in Smyrna on almaville Rd is a damn pathetic excuse for a store to be run. Always out of everything, aisles are blocked to where you can't shop. Beer and other vendors block the parking spots. The card reader is barely hanging on, you have to try and hold it with one hand and scan it with other hand.

    Forget about a return. They can't do it. They told me only the managers can do refunds. They don't exist in stores obviously. You stand up front waiting and waiting for someone who is stocking to look up and see you or do like I do and yell in front of the other customers waiting can someone please help me check out. Why a company this size hires a complete ** to run their corporate offices. And these ** have no idea how horrible these stores are being run. I've seen people get up front and be waiting and nobody helps them And they say screw it and walk out with their stuff. hope this shit company closes down ..

    I deleted my account by mistake and tried to make a new one with new number and email and was unable to so I called customer service and they couldn't help me reset my account or add a new one. To top it off I purchased items for cash back and never received my cash back. I'm just very frustrated that I didn't stop using the app when I was deceived then. I strongly recommend not use this app in case what happened to me will happen to you. I highly recommend using CVS pharmacy app. Always a happy customer and never any issues. 😉

The new girl Candace, she came up and said, "Sorry nobody told me you was up here" and I told her that the other girl looked at me and didn’t say anything. Someone needs to talk to Johanna in Goldsboro, NC store number **. She does not need to be a cashier or lead cashier.

    Dollar General in Ringwood NJ has the least knowledgeable employees I have ever encountered. I shopped there frequently for quick pick ups in town but today is the last day I will ever step foot in the store. The employees blame you the customer because the system is slow. They don’t know how to process the cash rewards. Do better train your employees and let them know it’s not the customer's fault the register is slow to process. Also don’t offer coupons and rewards if they can’t be used.

    I am not writing this for Dollar General store. It's about a employee that caught my attention. When I ask about a product they sell. Which I hardly ever write good reviews for companies or employees. I use this store almost every day.. being close to where I live. Point being is when you work for a great company like dollar general store or any major business. It's your part to thrive on making your customers happy. Everybody says the customer is always right. Being a customer myself That's not always right. Because I have gave some employees a mouthful knowing that I was wrong. But this little lady took my doubts and made me happy. Even the manager at the food Lion store close to there didn't know about the product I was looking for.

    Getting to the reason why is I ordered a trail camera and it takes double AA Batteries that are called dry batteries because the rechargeable battery and the liquid battery and lithium batteries will corrode after a few days or a couple months. When I walked in she came by and said, "Can I help you." I said, "Yes, maybe you can." I said, "I need a certain type of battery. Do you know much about them?" She said, "Try me." I said, "I need AA batteries but it's what they call dry batteries." By my surprise she pointed down to the Duracell batteries called power boost. "Them are the ones you need."

    She is a young lady who evidently wants to be there for her customers. It brought back a memory from a month or so ago. I got some peroxide and some alcohol and we was talking about the percent that is the alcohol and the peroxide and what it does for different things. So today she showed me that she will go far in life to make her job and its surroundings Great. Most people are there just for the paycheck. And for the management of dollar general stores. She needs to get y'all's eyes on her for future growth of dollar general. Put her where she deserves. If not it's your loss. P.s to have me to want to write a good review is somewhat IMPOSSIBLE. They come few and far in-between. This lady is awesome. I have what some say a book of knowledge in my head 'cause I can do many things from a to z but nothing about the difference in simple batteries. For some reason it won't let me add the receipt. Says my phone memory is low?

    Well Dollar General use to have good milk a few years ago. Idk what happened to their milk but it tastes awful now. Idk if they switched suppliers during that time or if the suppliers just started watering down the milk. It is now nasty milk and has been for the last 2-3 years now. I will not buy milk from y'all anymore, unless y'all get some real milk that isn't nasty tasting. I have even spoken with people in different stores of y'all's and they have all noticed that the milk doesn't taste right anymore. Please change your milk supplier. I mean ASAP. I shop at Dollar general several times a week and love shopping there but that lame milk that y'all brought in that doesn't even taste like milk, needs to go. It ain't even worth buying for anyone. Please change it or I'm gonna keep complaining about it and have others that I have spoken with complain about it also. Do yourselves a favor and get some descent tasting milk at least.

    I visited the Dollar General in Rendon today. When I was finished with my shopping, I went to the checkout counter and there was no one there for approximately four minutes. When the young lady did come to the front and started checking me out, there was a problem with the register and I waited for her to sit the cash register so I could pay. I commented it's not showing up and she mumbled under her breath "patience". I asked her if she just told me to have patience! She looked shocked that I called her out. She said no ma'am.     My first time going to Dollar General in Santa Ana, CA off on Main St. Went into the store happy mood, doing an order for a Customer & unfortunately I wasn’t able to find an item, so I kinda ask for help, so I went over to a manager & an employee happened to be there as well, they both stared at me hard without asking “Hi, what can I help you with?”. Both ladies seemed like I bothered them, instead of taking me to go find the item. One of the ladies said, "Over there on the other side of the aisle," I found that very rude & also uncomfortable. Ever since, all those employees seem mad & bothered everytime I would try to speak to them. I literally had one lady right pass me when I was talking to her she literally smirk.. Hands down the WORST store I ever been to!

    I just walked in the Dollar general July 19th 2025. Was looking at a gallon of milk and they're selling all their milk for $4 a gallon. You can go to Walmart. The milk is $2.86 a gallon. We need to start boycotting this type of pricing and gouging that Dollar general has been pulling on all of us. $3 would have been an acceptable choice so you wouldn't have to drive all the way to Walmart but $4 a gallon is unacceptable.

    My experience at Dollar General in Broken Arrow, OK, store #11318 was a blessing in disguise. I am disabled and on Wednesday, July 16th of 2025 I had to run lots of errands that day. My last stop was at Dollar General. I unfortunately showed up when 2 delivery trucks showed up and the aisles were hard to maneuver through. However, I can't get upset with that because of my bad timing.

    After getting some very heavy items for home I'm walking up to the checkout stands and a very lovely employee, Carolyn, saw me and saw how much pain I was in and how exhausted I was. She immediately came up to me and said that she was going to help me out at the register and all. I thanked her so much. She held up my heavy items, cases of pop and water so the cashier could scan them put them back in my basket and after paying for my purchases she helped me to my car and told me to get in my car and rest as she would loaded my purchases into my car for me after asking me where I wanted them at. Carolyn then asked me if I had someone at home to unload my purchases. Thankfully, I did. She then informed me that the next time I come in I need to get an employee first to help me get the heavy items for me in my cart.

    After being in so much pain and so exhausted, Carolyn made my day by helping me out towards the end. Thank you so much Carolyn, you have no idea how much it meant to me for you to recognize my need for help. I can be very stubborn about asking for help but when people offer to help me and I know I need it I don't refuse the help at all.

    I literally got robbed by an employee. I came in and paid with a 100 dollar bill, I had bought 37 dollars in product, the change is 63 dollars, I put the money she gave me in my purse on camera, walked out and got in my car. I pull the change out of my purse on my lap and it’s 43 dollars only, folded in half. So I go back in and they count the register and say nope it’s fine!! I said well I still have the wrong change. They did nothing. I called corporate, told them and they said they pulled cameras, she stated she didn’t steal anything, I said but she did not count the change back to me, did she??!! She said no she didn’t!!! I said exactly, anyone could have taken it after they counted the drawer even if not straight in their pocket.

    The district manager continued to say she gave me the change, so I say, "Are you calling me a liar about what she gave me?" I said, "I don’t even need the 20 at this point, y’all are dead wrong and it’s principle, don’t tell me if I grab change and put it straight in my bag on CAMERA and zip it, go in my car and open and pull the folded wad out and it’s 43 dollars, that I’m wrong! I'm absolutely right!!! Like what do you mean?!!" I have been going to that store on the way home almost daily for 3 years, I know them by name and they know me. This was a new girl who waited on me. So the dollar store on Nonaville road in Mount Juliet STEALS! Please make them count your change in your hand or you will come up short from your hundred dollar bill because it’s easy to steal with money that big! She also never gave me a receipt but they used the bar codes from my items as lookup for proof I was there!!

    I have never experienced an attitude and rudeness as I did in a Dollar General today, 1630 Lake Murray Boulevard, Columbia SC 29212. I put my purchase on the counter followed by the cashier saying "push that closer". Mind you the counter is not all that big. I complied and placed my $20 bill on the counter to pay for my $4 purchase. Then I noticed a sign which read, "we will give you your change the same way you gave us your money". WHAT? She slammed down my change on the counter which consisted of 16 one dollar bills. I took my change and left and won't go back to that store. The attitude of the cashier was stunning. I can't imagine a manager allowing a sign like that so this person could have been the manager.

    I have to say, Prices at the Dollar General are actually higher than grocery store. You're getting hard candy that should be soft, according Manager, it's because it melts then hardening, they still selling it on the shelves like spice drops, circus peanuts. They are not stocking Clover Valley Soda, instead it's all expensive soda, the food products is much smaller Boxes etc for way higher cost. It's not economical for those who depend on those cost to survive monthly like the elderly people. Corporate Greed. I would start boycotting Dollar General, ridiculous, shame on you.

    I purchased a headset to use on my computer and had issues with the sound being crackly and going in and out. I tried to take it back to exchange it. Was told since I didn't have my receipt, they couldn't do anything because electronics are known to be a stolen item. I wasn't asking for a refund just wanted to get a headset that actually worked. I spent $15 on them and I feel like I got screwed and felt like I was being accused of being a thief. The store manager is who I spoke with and the last 3 times we've been in the store to even just purchase items she has had an attitude and is very rude.     I was just at store 24266 which is at 4050 Chapel Hill Rd. in Douglasville Georgia. I was Door Dashing for a customer who purchased two pregnancy test. I happen to be dashing with my daughter who is 14. The cashier Kaitlyn asked me and my daughter if the pregnancy test was for either of us essentially asking my 14-year-old if she is sexually active. My daughter was humiliated and I was very offended. The cashier should’ve never asked any questions regarding a pregnancy, but it was a DoorDash and not for either of us.     Bathrooms are filthy and poop on toilet. No soap or paper towels in bathroom for customers or employees. While In bathroom I saw a cockroach. I began to shop and there was expired food in shopping cart. The expiration date was December 2024. This was can coffee drink and was on floor in cart. The back room had soda and food all thrown on dirty floors in back storage room. I mentioned it to the one man stocking. He said it's in a cart and it's fine. He didn't bring to back stock room or remove to dumpster.

    The workers didn't care about the expiration dates being outdated. The store needs to have someone with health department checking and possible closure. The shelving and products had dust on them. I mentioned if someone didn't look at expiration on cans and bought them they would end up sick. I got the eye roll. The workers were nasty. They didn’t seem to care and the store shows it. The store is located at 1823 old River road in Johnsonville South Carolina.

    If I could give a negative 100 I would. EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME TO THIS DOLLAR GENERAL IT'S A TERRIBLE TIME. I've only encountered maybe 2 cashiers that weren't absolutely horrible. I live close to this site so I have to usually shop at this one, but the customer service here is terrible I am always nice to them but when a cashier is on the phone and only nice to customers who get cigars there's a problem. I often wish they would close this one down because it is the worst in this area. Can they please hire (and keep) actual people who WANT to be in customer service?? The lady that I had today, unfortunately, was my last straw. I'm never coming to this dollar general again. Do better.

    I'm writing to express my growing frustration with a repeated issue at your stores in Lubbock, TX (79416), specifically at the 4th Street and 19th Street locations. Every time I make a purchase, the cashiers either keep the receipt or don’t offer it unless I specifically ask — and even then, it's sometimes met with hesitation. This is unacceptable.     I bought several items mark with purple dots (buy one get one free) and green dot items. I didn't get a discount on items. There are signs throughout the store for the discounts. I mentioned this to the cashier but she didn't seem to care. This lady is a newly. I shop here on occasions. But not sure if I will shop here in the Perkins MI store anymore. Was not happy.     Shopped at the Colchester, VT, Prim Rd store on Saturday using my member app at checkout.. Overcharged me for two items by $2.10 plus did not give me the promised $5-off-with-$25 purchase.     On 4/5/2025 I went into the brand new Dollar General on Westover Blv in Moses Lake. Before I went in I went on the app and took advantage of the deals and coupons. Before going in I knew approximately how much my total would be. So standing in line I overhear the manager tell the customer in front of me, "Let me guess you have 100 coupons too." She tells him no she has non. Sounded rude to me. Anyway I get up there, put my stuff up, there he starts scanning my stuff, I put in my phone number. Mind you you can't see if coupons are coming off because system is slow and the little screen didn't show nothing. So he totals up my things and it come up to around 7 dollars more than it should be. I say that doesn't sound right.

    He turns to his employee and says, "I'm never working Saturday again. All these couponers coming in." So I say something isn't right. He says, "Well I can't override the system blah blah." So I try to show him the phone with the coupons and he says he won't override them. I voiced that I thought he was rude and asked if he was the manager and he said, "Yes I'm a manager." Someone needs to teach that man what customer service is. And corporate needs to fix the problem with coupons not working.

    My review is more to do with a manager at the DG closest to me, Russelton PA. She wears a puss on her face constantly, never a smile or acknowledgement of my existence, never welcomes shoppers. If she makes a mistake she blames it on the customer not Speaking clearly. I have spoken to employees no longer working there because of her. She is worst to them. I can only imagine how bad. She should not be in any CS position and definitely shouldn’t be a manager in that type job. Why do you all let her continue working there? Chasing employees and shoppers out. If I see her working, I walk out and go to Family dollar a quarter mile further.

    The one girl up at Continental Ohio Dollar General is worthless. She don't do anything. She lets people use her ID. She done it for me. Who else is she doing it for? She don't do her job. All she does is run her mouth about people that come in the Dollar general. What kind of worker is that? If I was the management there she would have been gone long time ago. The store is so disgusting when she is working. She won't even mop the floors are clean. Oh God what's her house look like?     Why is it every time you go to get items at any Dollar General store you always have to move carts with boxes out of way to get to your items. I always have to move a cart to get to pop I want. Don’t bring items out unless you are gonna put them away or stock before you open.

    I just came out of a Dollar General in Albany Georgia 1162 Dawson Road. I really enjoyed this guy. His name is **. He said that's what they call him. I cannot pronounce his name but anyway usually when I go in a store of Dollar general everybody is good. They nice. They sweet but this young man was very very sweet. He asked me was everything okay, did I find everything I wanted and I told him yes and when he got through bagging my groceries and I paid for my food he said, "You have a great day and God bless you," and I was so happy to hear that.

    He had a smile on his face. He said that he was doing good because I asked him, "How are you doing?" He said, "Oh I'm doing good. I'm doing great," and that's the attitude you need and I just want to put that in and I have been going to a dollar store since they have been opening but truly that's the first time I had someone so sweet and so kind and so nice and made conversation with me so I just want to say that about ** and if the Dollar general Manager get this or they only get this I put the address up top to what dollar store I went in but I will put it again 1162 Dawson Road Albany Georgia.

    The General Dollar in La Feria off 83 is the worst I’ve ever been in! Products on the floor in every aisle! Empty boxes in the way, a lot of holes in every aisle (out of stock or not packed down)! This store is disgusting! At the register the cashier was on the phone arguing with her partner (she was wearing an ear bud). Whoever is the GM or Store Manager needs to get in there and take some action!!!

    You are not going to save any money going to the Dollar General. They are broke! They pay their employees crap wages. The stores are completely unorganized. Their cancels 10% off the original cost. I just event ln there and the Valentine's stuff was only 25% off. They even added some of their winter/Christmas food and placed it with the Valentine's and charged full price for it. They sell their expired milk at 50% off. I didn’t realize it and purchased several thinking that I had a couple days. Nope it was already expired when I purchased it. If you want to save money and not buy old food I would recommend not going here.

    Hello. To whom it may concern, Dollar General is forever out of milk. Don't know if they order any. The cooler is always empty. Workers don't stock. They don't care. The customer service is horrible. You have the cash out in your hand to pay, they continue to ask you if you are paying with card or cash. Right before they ask you, they are screwing with their phone and or having earbuds in ears listening to music or having conversations on it. Does the dollar general corporation even care if their business is a float or to go under? They just hire any lazy warm body that don't care about customer service. Let's not forget that employees leave from behind the counter after scanning any items that the customer is getting and they go outside to a car with friend or family. Something has to be done about all of this crap.

    Also, please inform your workers at dollar general if they can't speak up, be prompt and at least act like that they want to be there at their place of employment... If they can't do any of the above, they need to stay home permanently. Last but not least, if the milk is in cooler, it's like they stock expired milk and not give a care. P.S...     I have gone to this store frequently, because it's close to me, but I will not be returning to that store due to poor management. Manager had something going on in the office, training an employee I guess (I didn't ask specifics). There was so much going on. It was so ridiculous, I got my food and was paying for my cigarettes. But I couldn't because of what was going on in the office, I was told they couldn't run my card and I need cash, I didn't have any cash, by that time I placed the cigarettes in my purse, so, since I couldn't pay for them with cash.

    I took them out of my purse and (tossed) them on the counter, the manager said I threw them, of course I proceeded to say no I didn't. I saw what was going on, I stopped, she was rude to other customers as well, and especially her employee, the manager kept talking about me to customers. How do I know this? I walked back in to get my milk, and she was saying crap about me to the customers, is this how someone represents Dollar General, the manager needs to renew her customers service skills.

    Went in to the store in Rocky Top TN and there were big signs posted on the front door and the shelves stating 50% a particular item but when I got to the register, the manager said none of the items I got from the shelves was included! Also, tag for drinks stated 2 for $14 but also didn't ring up the correct price! REMOVE THE TAGS IF IT'S NOT ON SALE!! TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME!

    If I could give this store a zero I would. They literally never have the shelves stocked. There's always a problem with the register. My latest experience, I tried to buy a pack of cigarettes to which I had a $3 coupon. I've used these coupons before at the store, but this cashier was just too lazy to work the gun in a way that could scan the coupon. So I'm just out of luck. I asked for my ID back and said I didn't want the cigarettes anymore. She told me I didn't have to be nasty. I said. Just admit you're all lazy. I will never go to the store again. I may never go to another Dollar General again. I drove 10 minutes out of my way to the gas station. They scanned the coupon. No problem.     The manager of this location Rose goes above and beyond to be a complete A HOLE towards her LOYAL EVERY DAY CUSTOMERS who come to spend their hard earned money with an at her store location. If you ask her a question she does not answer it but instead says things like "if you did not look at the price I'm not going to look at it for you." Then she is always talking low of others and is never being encouraging or understanding. Instead she actually asked one of her BRAND NEW EMPLOYEES IF THEY WERE JUST THAT SLOW TO WHERE THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO COMPREHEND WHAT SHE WAS TELLING HER TO DO.

    I found that very extremely hurtful coming from being a mother of a child whose "special". What if that worker indeed was mentally ill or even mentally challenged??? Imagine how badly you'd be feeling about yourself in that very moment whenever you are the proudest and happiest you've been in a long time having gotten yourself your very own way of making money now. Idk. Lost all respect for her.

    Mariah at the Bordentown NJ location is amazing! I'm in there a lot and she's always there to help me. No matter what I need, no matter how many times I've been in there. She's the best at her job!     This store in Westfield on Southampton Rd is unreal. They have some drunk sneaking shots in back while she ignores you. Then when the drunken princess (at 11am?) decides to grace you with her presence she refuses to greet or respond to you. On top of all that she argues with you about the sale doing everything in her power to NOT let you make a purchase. Arguing you have no money on your card when I called literally three minutes earlier from the store aisle. Apparently DG doesn't want customers and she will certainly help you to that goal.

    I am the wife of West Virginia Delegate Larry D. Kump. I am absolutely disgusted and furious with the corporate office not rectifying our local Dollar General having heat! This is egregious and incompetency at the highest level and not the store manager's fault. Making employees work when it's 20 degrees outside and inside less than 10 degrees is unbelievable! And telling the store manager the part has been ordered over 2 weeks ago and no ETA is egregious! This needs rectified immediately as your employees including customers shouldn't have to walk into a sub zero location just because corporate can't get this taken care of by now!

    Spent 3 years trying to get my DG account fixed. You ask why is this important because you can't shop sales without the app.... And the app don't work.     Many numerous bad experiences at this store. Manager Nicole is a disgrace. I support a elderly man who needed to use the bathroom. She would not allow him to use. Said bathrooms are for employees only. We had to leave to find a bathroom. I did report. He's a diabetic and has kidney problems. Shame on her.

    I go to Dollar General in Decatur Al on Mill Rd several times a week. It has been a store that is convenient for my needs. The staff are always helpful. Recently on two separate occasions I have experienced having to wait in line. The cashier had to call the manager a few times. After waiting 10 minutes she went to the back of the store two times and asked for assistance from the manager. The manager acted like the customers were waiting her time. She was rude. Yesterday I went in again to the same store. I noticed a customer at the register when I walked in.

    As I turned the corner to go shop I saw the manager standing there. I told her that there was a customer at the register and she gave me a look and rolled her eyes. Then told another employee to go to the register. I don’t appreciate the attitude of this manager. If she doesn’t like her job then she should go elsewhere. I don’t know her name but she is tall with grey hair that is past her shoulders. If you want help don’t bother asking her. Any of the other employees are more than willing to help you though.

    Beware when shopping at this store, as there are thieves trying to steal your money by scanning the same item multiple times. I have personally experienced this a couple of times, like today when I saw on my app the receipt history showing that they scanned some items 2 or even 4 times. When I called to report the issue, the employee initially agreed to refund me, but then tried to act ignorant and refused. This just made me even more frustrated, and I demanded they check their security cameras if they thought I was lying. It's unacceptable to scam customers in such a deceitful manner.

    Advertised items are out of stock. Shelves are empty, but aisles are blocked by 6-Wheelers full of stacked sky-high boxes waiting to be shelved. Maneuvering around these blockages make you retreat and try a different route. Based on the ad, this morning I had 6 items on my list. Not a single item was available. This isn't unusual, but today was particularly frustrating because a couple of the items were intended to be Christmas gifts. I am frustrated and done with your store. For a few cents, or even a dollar more, I will patronize a place that has what I need...and way better customer service (different issue, but one I can generally deal with).

    Dollar General need to give up the ghost and close permanently. Products on floor aisles blocked w shipping carts. The whole store is in disarray. Products in boxes in coolers, sign says out of order. Looks to me like you don't care anymore just close them all and get it over with.

    I purchased a Google gift card from the store at 21st and 129th. The cashier did not load the card correctly and it stated as much on the receipt I was handed. The receipt states in BOLD PRINT: Card load has failed. Customer is entitled to an IMMEDIATE REFUND. They wouldn't give it to me. They said I had to contact customer service. I did. They refused to help me. Then they wanted me to fill out an e mail form and submit a complaint, this achieved nothing as well. They then told me a DM would return my call within 24 hours regarding this issue (that was Friday), as of today, Monday, I still haven't heard back from them. Word to the wise: Do not buy any type of gift card from any DG location!!! They have no clue what they are doing or how to load them and you will lose your money. They do not honor their receipts!!!

    One small complaint, I am handicapped and most of the time the spots are taken, which brings me to the problem, your employees generally work four to six hours. They do not need to park at the front door, this happens at my Dollar General store, I'm sure at hundreds of other Dollar General stores. They need to walk one time in a shift to the car across the parking lot. Where they are blocking hundreds of customers to a close spot to the door for hours. Respectively would like an answer

    The store and employee are great most of the time. The customer service, if you happen to have a problem is terrible. First you have to go through the waiting process to talk to a live person, who are usually very nice and helpful. This person doesn't do anything for you and really are of no help. They refer your issue to someone else who will send you an email, watch your spam. I did not know this and with two separate issues I am not sure if I even received an email for the first problem. No verbal contact, not even a chat. This is a terrible process, once you call you should get a person that can actually help you or the call is for nothing.

    As usual I've been ripped off By Dollar General!! Not only did the boy Who checked me out lie about My savings being reflected, But when I ask to put my number in so I should be sure to get my number Savings he wouldn't let me, and stated I didn't need to. He saw the savings reflected Already... And of course I guess it's my responsibility to make sure I get a receipt!!?? I was stupefied At the total after being told my discount was applied.     I stopped into the Lebanon Maine Dollar General on Monday. When leaving Maine on Tuesday, I realized my keys were missing. I tried calling Dollar General but had no luck reaching anyone by phone. I called their corporate office and left a message. Within 24 hours, Michelle, the new manager for that district called me back. She got a description of keys and literally within 30 minutes, alerted me that they had them in their safe. I live 2 hours away and Michelle ensured me she would have the keys mailed back, which I received today. I am so grateful to Michelle and Dollar General FOR HIRING HER. She went out of her way for me, just knowing I had been in their store. She saved me over $500 and some sleepless nights. Thank you Michelle!!

    The Anthra Plaza dollar general is Absolutely disgusting, ceiling tiles water stained and missing sections, some are hanging, filthy shelves. On their best days one cashier is on who is incredibly slow. I was in there today to grab 5 items for lunch on my half hour lunch break and stood in line behind 6 carts full of clearance items a woman was buying and it literally took the cashier 25 minutes to ring one cart full up with 5 carts to go. I left my things on the floor and left, I don't have 2 hours to stand in line, and either did anyone else behind me who did the same thing as I did. There's 8 people working, one cashier and carts full of items sitting all over the place and nobody does a damn thing here as it's always sitting all over the place.

    They have 2 ** women parked out front talking about their sex lives smoking cigarettes, 2 more were in the store playing on their phones and a whole list of 5 star reviews from employees and people who clearly are full of crap or was never in this filthy store. There's was half eaten pudding cups on the shelf and open boxes of cereal when I was in there looking for something to eat for lunch today and a dollar general employee eating crackers off a shelf while playing with her phone. When I asked why there wasn't any other cashiers, her reply was, "They don't pay me enough to care." This is what this dollar general store is like. It's Nothing like the fake 5 star reviews on Google. I'll never waste my time coming back here again and will be sharing my experience with others. Unbelievable and unprofessional.

    I like shopping at DG but they never have what I am shopping for at the store in Cedar Creek 5300 block. No black poster board paper for the last 4months. No sugar most times. No white vinegar, ever! Dole fruit cups are a rarity and no lorna doone cookies. I at least expected the black poster board to be available but I can do without the l.d. cookies! Right now it's a 3 star but can get a 5 rating if it had the black poster board since I've purchased about 40 sheets in the past months.

    Dollar general is a great place To grab things without having to go all the way to town...BUT... it always seems they are out of Cokes or sugar or bread... The same stores...always out of same things...which makes it so you have to go to town anyways.. Seems like managers would note the things that always run out and be more prepared...     It’s hard to explain how cluttered and nasty the DG store is on Oak Grove Road in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. If you say that you have a district manager, it’s a lie, or that DM has NEVER stepped foot in this store. In my travels, I’ve been to over 20 DG’s only 2 were ALMOST organized and clean enough to shop in. DG is a great idea but fails in too many ways. Your salary to this DM is a waste of finances.
