I honestly can not believe this company is still in business!! They don't want to pay their employees, they have rude employees, you literally wait on hold for way more than an hour just to talk to the HR department, you can't even get in touch with anyone at headquarters to complain about their rude, lazy, ignorant and bitchy HR department employees. Its absolutely ridiculous!!!

As usual I've been ripped off By Dollar General!! Not only did the boy Who checked me out lie about My savings being reflected, But when I ask to put my number in so I should be sure to get my number Savings he wouldn't let me, and stated I didn't need to. He saw the savings reflected Already... And of course I guess it's my responsibility to make sure I get a receipt!!?? I was stupefied At the total after being told my discount was applied. Come to find out I was ripped off For $5.75... Yeah that's not a whole lot but it's enough. When you have to put up with rude People that are ripping you off constantly.... This company Has nickel dime and dollar'd me Repeatedly. Almost every time I go in there there's Manipulation!

I love Dollar General 46th ave. R.I.. Store is old, but today floor by coolers was gross. Dirty Pop spilled and dried down the aisle. Very sticky. I was surprised. Male cashier is very nice and friendly!! Hope he stays!!

I stopped into the Lebanon Maine Dollar General on Monday. When leaving Maine on Tuesday, I realized my keys were missing. I tried calling Dollar General but had no luck reaching anyone by phone. I called their corporate office and left a message. Within 24 hours, Michelle, the new manager for that district called me back. She got a description of keys and literally within 30 minutes, alerted me that they had them in their safe. I live 2 hours away and Michelle ensured me she would have the keys mailed back, which I received today. I am so grateful to Michelle and Dollar General FOR HIRING HER. She went out of her way for me, just knowing I had been in their store. She saved me over $500 and some sleepless nights. Thank you Michelle!!

The Dollar General here in Linton Indiana is NASTY. THE STORE # is #01147. All they do is sit outside and smoke and stand around and talk. The floors are nasty and employees stand around on their phone.

The Anthra Plaza dollar general is Absolutely disgusting, ceiling tiles water stained and missing sections, some are hanging, filthy shelves. On their best days one cashier is on who is incredibly slow. I was in there today to grab 5 items for lunch on my half hour lunch break and stood in line behind 6 carts full of clearance items a woman was buying and it literally took the cashier 25 minutes to ring one cart full up with 5 carts to go. I left my things on the floor and left, I don't have 2 hours to stand in line, and either did anyone else behind me who did the same thing as I did. There's 8 people working, one cashier and carts full of items sitting all over the place and nobody does a damn thing here as it's always sitting all over the place.

I like shopping at DG but they never have what I am shopping for at the store in Cedar Creek 5300 block. No black poster board paper for the last 4months. No sugar most times. No white vinegar, ever! Dole fruit cups are a rarity and no lorna doone cookies. I at least expected the black poster board to be available but I can do without the l.d. cookies! Right now it's a 3 star but can get a 5 rating if it had the black poster board since I've purchased about 40 sheets in the past months.

Dollar general is a great place To grab things without having to go all the way to town...BUT... it always seems they are out of Cokes or sugar or bread... The same stores...always out of same things...which makes it so you have to go to town anyways.. Seems like managers would note the things that always run out and be more prepared... Seems like every time they put cokes on sale, they always out... Thanks for listening..

It’s hard to explain how cluttered and nasty the DG store is on Oak Grove Road in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. If you say that you have a district manager, it’s a lie, or that DM has NEVER stepped foot in this store. In my travels, I’ve been to over 20 DG’s only 2 were ALMOST organized and clean enough to shop in. DG is a great idea but fails in too many ways. Your salary to this DM is a waste of finances.

It started out good, but has since gone downhill, floors & outside area always dirty, stock crowds aisles, for days, handicapped wouldn't be able to get down, usually 1 worker to do everything, also shelves are usually empty, or in disarray,.

Every time I go I usually shop for bargains but it seems like when you go to ring it up it never discounts and I don't usually notice till I get home. I'm gonna start shopping somewhere else, it's not as budget-friendly as it originally was either. Walmart is cheaper.

The clerks are not knowledgeable about sale items. I have to take an ad every week if I am going to purchase a sale item. Also the percent discounts never appear on the cash register and when I inquire why the clerk acts stumped. I have even had to take the clerk directly to the item with a discount sign above. I tried to purchase 10 gift cards that were supposed to be 15% off and only 3 came up discounted. No one in the store could help nor had they even known there was a sale until I showed them my ad. The only thing they would do is refund the 7 gift cards that did not ring up with the discount. I went to another store and no one in the entire store knew anything about the sale and just when they checked on one card it did not ring up discounted and don't get me started on the digital coupons they never work. You can't trust the prices as they will ring up higher and guess what the clerk has no idea what to do. Horrible place to shop.

I have experienced unfair treatment as a ** woman while shopping with my ** coworker. We shop at the Dollar General in Deer Park, Texas near where we both are employed. The prices and coupons are clipped but never the same transactions. I am either stuck holding up the line trying to explain what the price is of an item or what the coupon states (on the app on my phone) because the price is rung up incorrectly. I have been overcharged on several items many times. I have either had to return or ask for a refund out of pure frustration. I have even gone as far as asking my coworkers to purchase items for me. I didn't want to see the experiences for what they really are, blatant racism. Yes Deer Park is a predominantly ** area of Houston but this store is employed by mostly **.

Do not purchase the Visa Spendwell card!!! They don’t work, after registered and created a pin. When calling the number on back even says your card is loaded but it is declined everywhere you try to use it, UGH!!!

Every fan I bought does not keep air blowing consistently! Never experienced this in my life. I mean every single fan is trash I bought. $80 wasted for 5 fans. Recall them all. Absolute trash. I am so disappointed and definitely ripped off.

Went to the DG on Maize and Morse in Cols. about 10:15AM, and did not find what I needed. As I was leaving with my grandchildren someone was yelling and calling someone stupid, and other demeaning words. I finally saw a older ** woman and a young clerk and I thought she was yelling at her and then I realized she was yelling at a customer and ended her rant with "SPEAK ENGLISH". The customer was not disrespectful to the clerk. Wow! I told the customer that that was inappropriate and the customer had limited English, but that is not a reason to disrespect someone. I do not shop at store where employees do this. In today's time people sometime retaliate. I will not be back for my safety and my children. Went to the DG #10722 Cleveland Ave about 10.30AM and spend for forty dollars, sound everything I needed greeted and helped by a wonderful young lady. This will be my DG from now on and the one I will recommend to others.

I was just in the Dollar General in Gold Hill. It is a safey risk. You can not get down the aisle because they have product in the way to walk. I do not feel safe in the store. The Gold Hill store was at one time great. If you need to see it I have pictures from today.

Always find what I am looking for and I like the convenience. Some stores are kept nicer than others so I am particular about the ones I shop at. The prices use to be cheaper than other places but this is no longer the case.

The Dollar General Store at 711 Mulberry ST in Loudon, TN is only 3 blocks from my house, but I have stopped going there because the cashier is so rude. There is only one register and you have to wait in line forever. The last time I was there I tried to stop the cashier to ask for help and she wouldn't even stop to talk to me. I chased her down and told her I needed help getting an item from a top shelf and she said it would be a while before she could help me. I left my cart with everything in it sitting in the aisle and walked out.

DG was good at first. Now the stores are always a mess. They never seem to hire folks that can get the job done. If it shows they have something online and you go to the store, a lot of times you can't find it. I've asked a couple times about things and I get the same answer. It's probably out back but I don't have time to go look for it, or they say they won't do it. Come on DG corporate office....how about you hire some competent people to do this. I don't see our local grocery stores or even Family Dollar a mess like your stores. Maybe if you increase the pay you'd get better help. The pay is a joke. I know because I thought about applying until I found out what the pay is. If kids 16 yrs old can go to a gas station and get $18 an hour there's no reason you should be starting people so low.

Ran into the Dollar general in Bettendorf IA while on a trip. My husband had to use the restroom. This worker wearing shorts came to the restroom door three times yelling through the door that he was stealing something. When he came out he went to buy two drinks and she refused saying that she was calling the police.

The manager of the store on Fairfield Ave Waterbury on this date 5/24/24 at approximately 7:00 pm is absolutely unprofessional. I will take the long road from now on and go elsewhere. God help me to remember. I go there out of convenience. Never again. I didn’t even get a receipt.

Every time you go in you can never find a cashier. You asked the managers to order something for you and she’ll say yes and never does. Then you go to self check out because you can’t find a cashier. Then the cashier run up there and watch you like you’re stealing. What’s the point of self check out. Never great.

The Dollar General Store in Salem, IN is horrible. Months ago my daughter was very sick. I asked a young ** lady to please clean off the cashier table. Her attitude was horrible. She didn't want to do it. I said please. She rolled her eyes in the back of her head. Well there are 2 Dollar General stores in Salem. The employees from the other Dollar General store told me to come to their store, then when I went there, an old ** lady asked me very rudely, "Why did you bring your daughter Into the other Dollar General store for if she was sick?" I responded because she needed **. They contacted The Salem, IN police and had me removed!! Because of their behavior!!!

DG water vest for toddler. I do not recommend this vest for your children as it will rub their armpits, back and arm raw. I have pictures if they let me share them but my 5 yr old wore one for 3 hours and was rubbed raw.

I was very happy with my experience at Dollar General today in New Brighton, Pa. CJ is such a great guy. He greeted us upon entering then helped us find what we needed and a breeze at check out. Definitely will go back.

I went to DG at 3338 Broadway in Garland, Tx to get the pink trash bags I love. It was my first time and I thought before I went that probably like many places they say they have something and when you get there they don't have it! But I was pleasantly surprised that it did have my Glad PINK good smelling trash bags and I got 3 of 20 as I thought perhaps they wouldn't have anymore. Then, I looked around and found the cutest little woman bag for $10 and was even more glad to get it when I found it wasn't made in China. I was happy and continue to really like DOLLAR GENERAL. I just hope it doesn't CLOSE like so many GREAT VALUE stores have been closing lately!

I bought some garden fence from 3 different stores as I needed more and no store had enough for my project. As I was starting my project I realized it will not work in my garden as the fence it was too flimsy and my soil too hard. Decided to return them as it cost me over $70. As I walked into a Dollar General I was told I have to go to the stores I bought them from because every store has a different computer system! What ???? That’s unbelievable! So if I buy something in Pa and I live in NJ I have to go back to Pa to return it. Never heard of something like this. It is hard to believe such a stupidity! I’m very upset and disappointed with dollar general and I promise myself NEVER TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. Not that the prices are good either, they are worse than dollar tree with higher prices.

My recent trip to Dollar General was great! The store had everything I needed, from household essentials to snacks, all at really good prices. The checkout was fast, and the staff was friendly. Plus, the store was clean and tidy, which was nice to see. I also liked that Dollar General supports local communities through donations to food banks. One suggestion for improvement would be to expand the selection of fresh produce and perishable items. Additionally, it would be helpful to have more self-checkout lanes to speed up the process during busy times. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I'll be back for my next shopping trip. I live west of Troy, Mo. and I'm not a big fan of Wal-Mart. I dislike Wal-Mart mostly because of their forced self check out. I was a big fan of Dollar General, so you can imagine how excited I was when a DG was being built on the west edge of Troy. Imagine how disappointed I was to find out that our new DG is 100% self check out. I went in today for a few items that my wife needed to finish supper. I grabbed my items and got to the self checkout only to find that every self checkout was closed? Not one DG employee to be found. I dropped all of my items in a bagging area and headed to Kroger. I will never set foot in a DG again. I have loved DG for years but they have abandoned all of the values that attracted me to them so I have to be done with them.

With one check out it takes forever to check out. Store on Cty Road 1435, Cullman AL 35058. The employees are great. They just need another check out lane. As much money as I spend weekly I think that this isn't much to ask for.

Warning do not buy the Spendwell Reloadable Visa Debit Card!!! They are crooks and Dollar General and other stores need to stop supporting crooks. I purchased a Spendwell Debit Visa card on 04/03/2024 at a local Dollar General adding $200 because I needed to order my grandchildren something that was international and was not comfortable giving my bank information. Upon opening the card the first thing I read says, "You must register this card before you can use it." I registered the card. Then there was NO way to transfer the money to the Registered Acct. I called customer service who said I would need to register the card and enter info manually which gives you the option to include the card # and security code. Ok I did and get an error because I used the same phone number. I called the customer service back explaining all this and was told to clear my cache & temp files. They would delete the other acct.

So I like most of the people that work at this Dollar General, and I know everyone has their bad days, but no matter what kind of day you’ve had you don’t close a store before closing time. People depend on the times to be the same every day so that when it’s 5 minutes time close they know they have those few minutes to get the things they NEED.

The Dollar General in Fresno California on Olive and Freeway 99 is always surrounded by homeless people Cindy a register worker. Threatening to cuss out customer. They have issues on where the line starts in the store to pay. People cutting in front of customers in line.. The store to is cluttery.. They need to assign a line for paying in their store instead of arguing with paying customers.

They make you download digital coupons wasting your time. Then they’ll have either a dollar off coupon or maybe five dollars if you buy X amount of dollars but if you use one of the one dollars you longer qualify for the five dollars even if you met the requirements for it, they say there’s nothing they can do about it because I downloaded both discounts, but did not know whether they would have what I needed to get the larger that’s a rip off. This kind of business needs to be addressed and outlawed. In fact, I think all digital coupons are to be outlawed. Just lower the prices and have true competition. Dollar General is a total rip off, don’t waste your money or your time on a their discount system. I gave them one star because I couldn’t give them 0

We drove the our neighborhood Dollar General off of Blanding Blvd. Me and my son entered the establishment. Hoodies on because it was a chill last night. The cashier spoke, my son responded and kept walking. It wasn’t even a minute before someone was behind me, it was an employee walking behind me and the other went on the next aisle. They kept following us pretending to fix stuff on the aisle. I stopped and turned around and asked my son is this what I think it is. My son said what I was thinking, they think we’re about to steal. Mind you, my wallet was in my hand. I didn’t appreciate it at all as I a frequent visitor of the store. It turned me off from the items I did want to purchase. I just grabbed the other items I wanted to get and exited the store. Now, there was a guy in the store who did look like he was going to steal, looking to see where the employees were, then going down the aisle acting suspect with his little backpack. I will not go back into this particular store as it is another store in the opposite direction of my home.

I had went into Dollar General a few days ago and started to get frustrated as I was in a rush and am not very familiar with the store so it was taking me a while to get what I needed. Mitchell helped me so much and continued to help me until all of my items were checked off my list.

Cashier kept me at the register telling me the manager said only the manager could check me out, but she left to go to the bank. She wanted me to WAIT until she got back. I explained to her I had an appointment to get to and she said, “I can’t check you out.” I told her to call the manager And let her walk the cashier through checking me out over the phone. She hesitated but did it. Apparently, they didn’t want to scan the Christmas clearance because they pennied out. So she put them in the bag and was going to check out the rest, but then realized all my items were pennies. The biggest commotion! They insisted they weren’t selling the items and I explained they had no reason not to.

Do not buy food from Dollar General. Especially the one located on FM 521 in Fresno, TX or Arcola TX. They are also overpriced. I bought ground meat and other frozen items from there that was old and I got sick. The cereal was stale. The produce is fresh because you can see tell if it's old. Also watch out for your items because when I got home I noticed some of my groceries were missing. I won't be buying any food from there ever again.

I have shopped at the Dollar General between 200 and 300 times, and with the exception of maybe six times, I have never been charged the correct prices on anything. They cheat me sometimes between $.10 and $10. If you ask them to fix it, they look at your receipt and stare at you with a blank face.

I live in El Dorado KS and I drive 45 minutes to Rose Hill KS to the store at 420 N Rose Hill KS because of their outstanding customer service. Every time I come in here they are always friendly, courteous, and helpful. If I can't find what I'm looking for they are always eager to help or suggest alternative products. When I come in here it's like visiting friends. I want to give a big shout out to ** (asst. Mgr), ** (employee), and ** (employee) for making all my visits enjoyable.

I have been to the Dollar General at 2700 Feen Rd in Four Oaks maybe 30 times since it was built. Out of those 30 times, and this is no joke, the doors were locked tight during business hours, with employees there. Why put a store somewhere, if you're not going to let customers in half the time. I personal think they are in the back fornicating.

Stopped to pick up a few things and lights were on and the door was locked. 4 other people were trying to go inside. I called the number and there was no answer. If they are going to close they might want to put a sign up saying they are closed.

If I could clone her I would. What a great personality. Friendly, outgoing, and positive. The store was clean and she took time to help me. Jasmin is such a blessing to your company. She knows her customers by name as well.

Angry and dishonest management. Many items are placed adjacent to misleading signs leading to a shock at checkout. Less-abled people don't always notice the price gouging. I find this criminally dishonest. Feedback is greeted with open hostility and even threats. Corporate malfeasance defines Dollar General.

Mobile App doesn’t work. Can’t get a password reset. Never can use their digital coupons because I can never get into my account. I have put in the correct phone number and email. Dollar General help me.

Purchased sale items. Was not given sale price. Cashier left the store to smoke in his car before I could even check my receipt. I know because he was sitting in it as I was parked beside it! I came back a few days later to ask my my refund, and was happy to see the same cashier. He was not happy and said it was not him, and I said I remembered him and it was. His response was, "well to you people, we all look the same anyway". I was flabbergasted!

I used to like shopping at my local Dollar General (Ladysmith Road, Ladysmith/Ruther Glen, VA). But today was the last! It's hard to pick an area in the store that isn't up to par. Lots of empty shelves, merchandise in and out of boxes litter the aisles and make it hard to navigate. Merchandise strewn all over the store! About a month ago a team of workers came in and really did a good job cleaning the store. That lasted about one week. To top it off, the manager and other clerks have a real 'No Care' attitude. Most of the time they are talking to the delivery persons, themselves. Or outside of the store on 'A Break'. None of the personnel are friendly, just look bored. Come on folks! Enough is enough. Fire the whole bunch, clean and organize the store. I am NOT the only person who feels as I do. I Quit doing business with my local store,

So many of their products scan a different price than what the shelf price says. Today two of the five items were incorrectly priced over $1 each. When I told the clerk, she changed it, but I am so tired of this. I don't think I will shop here anymore.

This company and every experience I have with them is awful. It doesn’t matter what store - there are a few good ones and some decent employees, so let’s separate them from the corporate aspect right off the bat. Those employees do NOT represent the company, no matter what we believe - they DO represent what is happening to our local economies and towns. The company, however - the corporation itself - sabotages employees. It sabotages everyone. Let me explain. The bottom line is all they worry about. Sales. The employees and their safety, their mental and physical health doesn’t enter into the equation. What’s more, the customer doesn’t enter into the equation.

The store on MLK is cluttered with little room to move around. Dark negative atmosphere. Dangerous ** vibe, attitude issues, dirty store and rude staff. It's a miracle this piss poor location is open.

I believe they practice in bait and switch in both in store and with digital coupons. They put products above a price that is not for that product and if you don't notice it you pay the proper price and if you do they don't honor the listed price. As far as digital coupons are a absolute joke. They say one thing but mean another or they just don't work at all. Also they offer coupons that come with your receipt that claim to take 5 dollars of a 25 dollar purchase on a specific Saturday but unless you know that you have spent 25 dollars prior to tax without the help of their register the coupon will scan as if accepted and no longer be good but will not take off the 5 dollars. The business is one big scam if you ask my opinion.

The Dollar General store on Chadbourne Street is FILTHY. The stores has been cluttered and unkept for awhile, but it has progressed to filth! Yesterday at 6:00 pm I went to purchase bottled water. Aside from the two employee cars not another car was in the parking lot. I couldn't figure out why, until I walked inside. Awful! The store needs to be shut down!

Is bad gift card Because paid $25 for an Apple gift card and I got the receipt. Got the card paid my cash and a day later. When I just wake up now that it's not active. They took my money and when I tried to get my money back for it They denied me. So they stole my money.

Manager and employee were extremely rude and confrontational. Refused to honor sales price on merchandise and tried to change the price to full price. Refused to provide a name and constantly referred to changing prices on other customers and I was the only one that had a problem..since I caught them. They then refused service. Employee then tried to start a confrontation in front of the store. Will never return to this store or this town. Horrible service!!!

These stores have turned into the most expensive stores you could go to. I seen Dollar General go to Dollar Tree and buy all half gallons of cleaners for 1.25. Take them back to Dollar General and sell for 3.25. Other than that their prices are outrageous and all stores are filthy dirty..

I have had enough, every time I go to this store, it's unstocked, untidy and just a hot mess. Today I went in because they had the 10 off 40 plus they had coupons on lots of items I wanted...So I got excited, checked availability of the items I wanted and armed with my DG app went to the store just as it opened. Of all the items I wanted they had one... Unbelievable...Needless to say I left very upset, this was a one day coupon 09/02/2023...The app said they had the items but didn't...It's Labor Day weekend and no product on the shelves..Plenty on floats boxed up though. So so disappointed. I'm just about through with DG. They never do anything about the Whittier NC store. The employees act like they don't have time to stock the shelves but lots of times I've pulled in there early and they outside smoking or talking on phones.... Terrible.

There were at least 2 or 3 other customers in the store at the time and we had passed both of the workers a couple of times. After we had gotten everything we needed one of the workers walked up to us and said he didn't know we were in the store and had already closed everything out. We live in a very small town, and I KNOW both employees saw us and yet still checked everyone out except us. Just really rude, and especially with 4 kids and school starting the next day.

Store #03114 Houston TX , I Bought 25 items and 70% of the items did not ring up the price marked on the shelf. Didn’t notice when the Manager was ringing me on that he charged me regular price until I got home. Went back to the store the next day and spoke with the manager that rang me up says it’s the consumers responsibility to inform the cashier the items are on sale! He would not re-ring my items to give me the pricing difference of around $10.00. I reported to the corporate office twice and was told the regional manager would contact me in about 2 days, never heard anything from this regional manager. Dollar General treats their customers horrible and don’t seem to care if they lose business. I have found somewhere else now to shop.

Right here in Taft Ford city to be exact this store has the most horrible sales rep in the world that I have ever met. The only proof he could come up with that he had of me supposedly stealing was me walking into the store with my laptop bag over my shoulder. What a idiot dude. Dude needs to be fired because I ain't never done nothing. Wrong like that especially in that store but he still kicked me out.

Every single staff walks around on their cellphones, FaceTiming their friends and family. They ignore customers. They do their nails right at the register. The smell of the acrylic glue affected my asthma. They are completely unprofessional!

I thought DG was a place lower income individuals/families could get products a little cheaper than even Walmart. Nope. Their soda is more expensive than a gas station. Disgusting stores. $8? Soda?!! Absolutely ridiculous.

The district manager called me back and I consider the issue fully resolved to my satisfaction.

All Dollar General stores are nasty cannot push a buggy down the aisle. I’m surprised that they have not been sued over someone falling the store in Ashville Al on US 231 never has anything. Their candy aisle was empty there. Drug aisle was empty. I usually don’t go in there but it was close to the drugstore I use. I have not been in that store for probably 6 months and not a thing has changed. The parking lot was empty the few employees in the store were bitching but I want go back. They don’t even ask did you find everything you needed 'cause they know you didn’t. They run all these commercials. Why I don’t know. Just shut them down.

This store is so unorganized and nasty! I went in there last week to pick up a few things, you can't get down the aisles to find anything. Also the candy and gum at checkout is covered in dust. Won't be going back.

Poster board marked $1. Charged $4. Koolaid marked $2.65 charged $3 *5 boxes. Uno cards marked $1.90 charged $8.00 * 2 sets. Was in a rush and did not catch the overcharges until I got home. Deleting the app, marking any emails as spam, and will drive 25 minutes to go to a non Dollar General store that is honest. Sat 4/15/23 @ 10:31 Dollar General 11415 Augusta Rd 29654.

I have been a couple of this store in Eastpoint Florida for many years. The cleanliness and service and well stocked shelves have gone down significantly. They rarely have anything I want anymore. When you ask for anything they look at you as if you are bothering them Especially John the manager and Tialla. I don't know her last name but she is rude and give looks that could kill. Very disappointed. I think I'll take my business to Family Dollar. Well stocked, clean and friendly associates.

It is of my opinion that Eckrich made the best bologna, pork chops, ham. Well you previously could go the Dollar General and purchase Eckrich bologna - not anymore. I have talked to the distribution center for Eckrich and they lost their distribution here in Texas. Dollar General let them go. Personally, I think they have to cater to Oscar Mayer, and that most people prefer Oscar Mayer. NOT TRUE! And it is not only the stop selling of Eckrich bologna, but Gilmer, Texas has one of the trashiest stores, I mean every time I go in there - trash and boxes stacked ceiling high. Never can look for anything so much boxes and trash. And sometimes you go in you should have wore your mask, I mean it reeks of a soiled bathroom. Summertime it is so hot, had employees state management will not let them turn the air adjustment down. They never have enough employees - so Dollar General is very guilty of cheap labor, bad filthy stores, and lack of good management.

I went to Dollar General store #21839 Mount Carmel, Tennessee and purchased several products and some of the mobile coupons did not come off. I contacted customer service and they would not credit me for these coupons. They used a ** excuse and the cashier was no help. She said if she redone it. I would not get the $3/$15 or the coupons that did apply I would not get credit for. This store has been nothing but a problem and had poor management and Dollar General customer service is a joke. They never help you then just use a lame excuse. This reminds me of why I stopped shopping at Dollar General over a year ago.

Recently I have taken my business to Dollar General Store. I can still get good deals, and save money on cleaning products, and the workers are friendly and helpful. I am pleased with my shopping experience. I have a couple of other stores I go to when I am in town but Dollar General is the one that saves me the most money.

It doesn't matter which one you go in. They'll all dirty and cluttered, the people are usually good, but there's too much stuff in the aisles, you can't get through. I mean boxes and products stacked up where you want to buy something. Why do I go back? Because they have what I need and it's close.

I was using my debit card. And it had money on it. And they told me to wait. And there was 3 cashier people there. And 2 register there. And only 1 open so I had to go to the atm machine to GET the money out of the machine.

My daughter and her cousins were stopped and questioned, and according to DG it was because they were in the store for an hour, which is "suspicious" behavior. The associate that was working asked my daughter what is in her pockets, to which my daughter showed and answered, “my phone”. The associate then continued with these girls saying she is “really starting to question what is going on here” because they were looking around, picking things up, and putting them back. You know, what most people do when they are shopping!!! She then proceeded to tell them that “they are looking suspicious, and the little girl has a bag with her.” The sales associate refused to give out any manager contact information until she was pressed over the phone and then I stopped in to get it as well.

I attempted to take leave due to a medical issue that prevented me from standing for long. My claim was denied by one examiner, then replaced with an entirely new examiner days later. I’ve continuously battled for weeks to return to work, but when you have an examiner that isn’t helping you at all, it’s extremely difficult. These reviews aren’t lying when they say this company is a joke.

I have been a victim of harassment. My wife has been recently had a serious burn so I have the responsibility of doing the shopping so I walk in the Dollar General store to purchase some items for the kids' food product. But I go to check my wallet and my card was left at home so I say to the cashier which was the store manager I have to put items back because my credit card was not with me. He proceeds in a smart manner. "What did you get all this for wasting my time?" he says. I say I'm sorry but he mumbles on.

Dollar General Northbrook Blvd North Charleston SC, is extremely understaffed, shoplifting is ridiculously bad, especially in the morning empty wine bottles litter the aisles, you can tell employees are scared. The North Charleston police need to advised of the situation about the theft at this store. Shelves are bare, they hardly ever stay open in the evenings anymore, the trash outside the store is so bad when the wind blows it goes everywhere. Corporate does not Care, or value the safety of its employees.

I spend roughly four hundred dollars a week in this store and yes I can back up my statement with receipts! Today was the straw that broke the camels back! Cashier was a total **! Didn’t bag half my items! The entire time during the transition she’s huffing and puffing and acting like it’s killing her to scan a freaking can of soup! She had half my items on one side of the counter the other half stacked on the turnstile NOT in bags. Again she’s moaning and groaning. I even asked her if she was sick. She didn’t even answer me! I literally would have waited if she needed to use the restroom or something but no she literally has the disposition of a stale piece of bread!!! I will not return to this store… not that they give a **! I have heard them talk crap about other customers who ask about coupons etc… And the store is FILTHY!!!!

Had wonderful experience shopping at Dollar General today around 9:30 a.m. in Rector, Arkansas. The store was clean, well stocked and in great order. I ask two different clerks where two different items were and they gave great service. It was great shopping experience to be able to find the things I needed in an expedient manner. I really enjoyed shopping there!!

I went to Dollar General located in Southaven, MS. Store on church and near Hwy 51. There was absolutely nothing I was looking for, so I had to improvise. Got the materials and went up to the counter. The male employee was doing everything he can to satisfy his company and customers. They absolutely did not have one bag for me, so he personally made me some bags. He took initiative to go buy bags at Sam's with his own money, so customers would have bags.

This is about store # 18193 Old Town Fla. This store when opened was a god sent and was always stocked and organized. It now is not even worth stopping. Shelves always empty, filthy parking lot carts at the end of the building instead of by the door. This all happened when PAM the original manager got fed up with your lack of business & employee needs and left. This store is a joke and a inconvenience. And they blame you. We all who live here really need that store but it is not even worth going there anymore. You should keep a better watch on your stores.

The store on the corner on Winn and Remus Rd said they opened at 10 but when I arrived there was a lady standing outside looking in to see if anyone would come unlock the doors. When I walked up there were store lights on but the doors were locked. Tried to call and it just went to voice mail. There should have been a sign saying you were closed for the day. Or if someone was there it would have been nice for the doors to be open.

We have 2 older stores and they are filthy and overstocked with products overflowing into aisles. You cannot get a shopping cart down the main aisle, it's horrible. Workers didn't even know there was an app where consumers could buy and pay online and pick up curbside.

For weeks now every time I ask to get the key for restroom I am told it is out of order..Is this some sort of Covid19 preventative policy?..There was a dirty diaper and excrement on the parking lot just a few feet away from entrance to the store..Is that saying something to you Dollar General?

This is a review of the Dollar General located at: 3800 Us Highway 76, Young Harris, GA 30582. The store manager has had such a nasty and a poor attitude now, on multiple occasions, that this store has lost my business. The store manager also does not respect the personal boundaries of the customers. Particularly due to COVID-19, this is definitely not a time to be in the personal space of others, to the point where you are not only being disrespectful, though also, careless and unconcerned about the health of others.

The shopping in the store was very nice and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a great experience with not having to go around stuff in the aisles. The place was very organized.

While I was in line waiting my turn to pay for my items I observed a very rude lady scream at another customer. She made this girl about cry. I was watching the entire thing unfold before the outburst. The woman that was being mean apparently is an assistant manager or manager. Her name was Autumn. I could not believe this woman yelled at this poor girl for no apparent reason.

It plainly states on the door masks are required. No one but the cashier and myself had a mask on. I have lost two people in my immediate family and have several people sick or in the hospital with COVID 19. Someone needs to enforce what they put on their door. If you’re gonna let him come in without masks take the sign down so the people that has mask on will not have to be in there with them.

I don’t know about all of Dollar General’s but I am referring to the one in BEAR, Delaware. This store is absolutely horrible. One day I went in there and I had several bags of items I spent approximately $50 dollars in the store & one bag I had Christmas lights; I get home and the lights are not in my bag! I go there the next day and they say that the lights were not left. They don’t know where they’re at.. So I was out $10, plus he would not let me use a “save now” coupon.. He (MICHAEL) is rude, lazy and doesn’t pay attention to what he is doing and messes up orders.. I call corporate and the regional manager of Bear was just as bad! All she says was sorry! Well I am still out $10!!! So Done with the store. I will never ever ever ever ever step foot in that store again. They are out to steal money from their customers and they’re so rude!

I always come to this store to purchase my detergent. The cashier did not speak when I walked up so I spoke to her first. She barely opened her mouth. After she finished ringing me up, I asked if she could put it in a bag. She stated rudely that the bag is too thin. I replied the previous cashiers would always double it for me. It is easy for me to carry. I am a senior citizen. She rudely asked another cashier to finish checking me out and walked away. I couldn't believe her attitude to a senior. Customer service is not what it use to be. Dollar General need to try their staff on customer service. Without the customer, they have no business!!!!

My Fiance was checking out in our small town with a personal check from my acct. He was unable to use the check as he inadvertently forgot his photo identification at home-as he was about to leave to head home for his ID an extremely kind woman came out and offered to pay our bill! When he stated he would be right back she said "No, I just want you to have a good day!" Amazing act of generosity and we most certainly appreciated this kindness and will pay it forward when an opportunity arises. Thank you New Lisbon, WI Dollar General! :)

I would like to give a shout out to Gabby at Dollar General on Main Street in Middletown, VA. Great customer service and always helpful and friendly. Diane is also awesome and helpful. Great place to shop!

I visit the Sonoraville Georgia Dollar General very frequently. Last evening was no exception. The cashier Megan was working her tail off taking care of customers while the pinpad wasn't working on one of the registers. She another employee trying to get all of the customers through the line quickly. With the impatient customers with the ugly remarks, she maintains a cool attitude and has a smile on her face. I have no idea who the store manager is but he/she should be elated to have such a hard-working young lady. When she is working the store is always clean and well maintained. I'm being a voice for for her. I wanted to leave a review for the store manager or maybe a district manager, but I couldn't find a link or website? I hope this gets to her management.

I sometimes shop at the Dollar General Store located at 1010 Sams Creek Road, Ashland City, TN. Although two signs on the door indicate that a face covering is required for entry, I noticed on several occasions that customers were shopping without masks. One of the employees was also without mask while working in the aisles. Upon checkout, I asked the clerk why they were not enforcing the posted mask requirement. She said that "Some people get offended, so they do not enforce the mask requirement." This is unfortunate, as there is an ongoing Covid spike in the area.

I am very disappointed that a company as large as Dollar General is not concerned with employees or customer safety. I can only speak for Arkansas. This is based on a total of 14 stores. At first DG was not requiring employees to wear mask or maintain six feet. Now we have a mandatory public mask in place. DG is not providing sanitizer for customers or employees. DG does not have CDC guidance posted or mandate rules. DG is not doing any sanitizer between customers. DG is sadly not having anyone to be safe. When I have ask employees to follow guidelines/ mandatory from governor each person responded with we don’t have too.

The total amount was changed multiple times by the time the order arrived, website saying one amount, an order email saying another amount, then the credit card finally billed a new totally wrong amount. All due to some items being out of stock and the amounts being recalculated each time incorrectly. Calling them about this error they only admitted the amount was partially wrong, but in the end I was still overcharged by a few dollars. Now I have to let my credit card company try and deal with them. I'll never shop the Dollar General online store again.

This store is ALWAYS in disarray. There is never stock on the shelves but yet bins are blocking aisles full of stock. The manager is ALWAYS outside propped up smoking. They got a girl in there last month that had that place looking good but about 2weeks later, she was gone - the word is she got tired of doing all the work while the manager sat on her butt outside. They need to get rid of the manager and clean this store up. It is always busy and so it could be a real money maker if you had some management that cared.

Since the pandemic I've been twice to the store on South Dale Mabry, Tampa, FL. The first time no was wearing masks. I sent email to company. Their policy is, it is optional. Today 6/17/2020 the ** male manager was rude when I asked why no was wearing masks. This store always has a ** manager and ** employees. Every ** mgr. male or female have been lazy about customer service and stocking. This manager today walked by overflowing trash can on walk in front of store and just shook his head. I left without shopping. I won't forget this store even when this pandemic is over. Never will I shop there again.

I went into store #20164 on 04-06-2020 around 7 pm. I do not know what the lady's name is but I wish I did. The women that rung me and my items when I got up to the cash register she just seemed very disrespectful and nasty towards me. She was rude. I have never in my life been treated in this manner. I felt so low life.. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS SOMEONE TREATED ME LIKE THIS... Please don't let her do this to someone else...

Gahanna, Ohio store mgr Brandi threw me out of this store October 2019 because I refused to put my 10 lb toy poodle Hearing Service Dog in the cart. I explained he is a service dog as I am deaf. I also explained she was violating federal and Ohio State law by her demand. Brandi was very rude and stated she was not. I filed formal Ohio State charges on this store and they are being investigated. Brandi also lied to her boss stating my dog barked at a child. My dog was trained by professionals and he never does this.

Went to Dollar General store this morning to make a small purchase. The customer service guy had nothing but attitude because he had to stop stocking to assist me at the register, I completed my purchase and then he proceeded to inform me that the early mornings are for the elderly. I in turn reminded him that this is true but also people with a health condition to which I would be included in but like I said attitude was all over this young man's face before he even completed our transaction at the register. I am a member of the healthcare profession and put my life on the line to help assist others every day but customer service to resident and family is number 1. Maybe Dollar General needs to remind their staff of this. It could really cost them business that no one in these times can really afford.

I have always loved Dollar General over the leading company in our town but was very disappointed during this time of the Covid virus that they’re gouging their prices. Eggs four dollars a dozen really. President Trump doesn’t want to hear about this. He will shut them down.

I went to the store and purchased a birthday card for my granddaughter amongst other items. When I got home I didn't have the card. I'm a senior and don't have transportation and had to walk back the next day to get it. The rude, loud lady who said her name was Angel, told me she put it on the counter and told me it was there. She didn't. If she had I would have had it with my other items. She was arguing with me that she did and from their proceeded to tell me that she was risking her life working there so I could buy my card. In turn I told her I was risking mine coming back for it when she didn't put it with my items in the first place. She was extremely verbal, I asked her who she thought she was talking to. As a customer I shouldn't get attacked over her not doing her job and giving me all my items.

I want everyone to know how amazing the crew is at this store. At one time I would not shop here because the people were so rude. Now it's an amazing place to shop. The store manager has made so many wonderful changes. His name is **. All his people help you anytime you need it. They will stop whatever they are doing to help you find anything you need. Today I saw a crew member help a women get what she needed. She was overwhelmed with her children and trying to shop worried about the virus going around and trying to keep her children in place. He stopped what he was doing to help her. Everyone is so sweet at this store. They always speak when you walk in. Always a smile. It is so rare to find people that truly care as much as this crew does. They truly go the extra mile to help the elderly get what they need, check them out and take their bags to their cars.

This store is never clean. There are carts of product that need to be put away all over the store. You can't get down any isle with a cart and you can't get the items you want to buy. It is always like this. We and our friends will not shop here, it's disgusting!!! Does anyone work here? All we ever see is one cashier in the whole store. Either clean this place or close it!!!

The Mgr Brian ** is doing a great job there, And the crew. They speak when you walk in, and speak when you leave. They go above and beyond to help with all our needs. Glad we have this store in our town.

Same low quality brands as Family Dollar, only at an increased price. No real bargains to speak of. Much rather spend just a fraction more and get better quality and value at different retailer. And staff at my nearest store not very helpful or friendly.

Dollar General is definitely the place to save! With an excellent range of products and brands, Dollar General has been my family's go-to store for many years. We find that Dollar General has become our de facto grocery store, vitamin store, medicine store, and "everything else" store. Many of the "house brand" products such as their chocolate candy, pharmaceutical items, etc. (sold under the Dolgencorp brand) are excellent alternatives to name brand items. We always shop at Dollar General for all of our dental care needs: Great buys on toothpaste, mouthwash, and toothbrushes! My family started shopping at Dollar General as a low price alternative to gas station convenience stores -- to pickup a half gallon of milk, eggs, or sodas, etc. Then we saw the super prices and great selection and decided to make it a regular stop between visits to large-chain grocery stores. //

I like Dollar General stores and I like shopping their sales. But I don't like their cramped space and dark stores. Due to shortage of staff it creates cluttered aisles and a dirty feel to the store. If they do this to save money I believe this actually costs sales. I don't like to rifle through clutter when shopping so I just walk away.

I like this company's merchandise and variety but I hate that their stores are usually very messy, cluttered and disorganized making it difficult to find what you are looking for. Prices are competitive on the majority of items especially beauty, home decor, kitchen ware, holiday, seasonal decor, car and hardware stuff and cleaning supplies. The stores could use better displaying of items and better price tagging.

This store is amazing. Always well stocked. I usually get apple cinnamon and vanilla chia tea that is delicious. Also the brown eggs for 1 dollar over the holiday. I got the cute glass jar with cover and I got a bag of peppermint and it's my candy jar. So cute. I also buy the oatmeal lotion and I got 6 beer mugs so this store has everything - greetings cards to utensils.

I have been in DG stores about a half dozen times. 2 different stores in my home town, and another out of state. Each time they had what I was needing. Some prices are very reasonable. Others are in line with bigger retailers or slightly higher. Among items purchased on the last visit were a pkg of 5 DG brand disposable razors, $1.00, and a full size can of DG brand shaving cream, $1.00. Both performed well. Other DG bathroom items are also well priced.

The people are always friendly. They have great sales. The store is close to home. They always have a good number of products. The store is very clean. The store hours are great. I can go online and see what they have on sale each week.

Convenient, affordable, friendly staff, will try to get the product you want if it is not available. Sales associate is well informed about store layout. Seasonal things are very well displayed in a clean store.

When I go to DG, I go because it's convenient and the costs are usually comparable to Walmart, Target etc. They don't have the variety that the big retailers offer, but usually have most of the basics. My expectations for a DG aren't real high, but I think overall, they fill a great niche on the cost/convenience side of things. Shopping environment... remember, you're looking to pick up basics.

These stores are all over the place so they are convenient. They don't keep up with stocking their shelves however. Many times I have driven to a Dollar General just to end up going to Wal-Mart instead. Oh and by the way, you're not getting any bargains on pet food here, it's less expensive at Wal-Mart.

Dollar General has great deals but the one in my location is in desperate need of improvement. It serves a military community and we deserve the same convenience, variety, and ease of access provided at other locations. When you walk in the store, the lines are extremely long with only one cashier because the only other employee is either on break or stocking shelves with an amount of pallets that is impossible for one person to complete. Therefore the aisles are riddled with boxes that contain particular items missing from the shelves. Visits are frustrating.

The employees are always so friendly and helpful, smiling and enjoying themselves. If for some reason the item I am wanting is out of stock, they order it right away. I have never been disappointed in anyway.

Only one person working there at a time. Hard to find any help with locating products. Store is always extremely hot. Usually one register open and the other is always on break. Not enough parking.

Dollar General has locations in great places, in a variety of communities. Dollar General has a small variety of items that make shopping easy and quick. The hours are great. The only issue I have with Dollar General is sometimes more staff to help at times. What a great store.

The Dollar General I live by is pretty good, but I feel they don't rotate the stock well enough. And I always think that Dollar general could sell stuff for under a dollar and still make excellent profit.

What I like about Dollar General is that they are every community making it very convenient to shop without the need to travel far. Dollar General also carries the most popular items with great prices. Plus they have a great selection of ice cream.

I live in Texarkana, Tx and go to the Dollar General off 59 across from a burger joint. Every time I go in there the place is spotless. The cashiers are friendly and always ready to help. Prices are a little bit higher than Family Dollar but the cleanliness and customer service make me come back again and again.

I do most of my shopping there. They don't have certain brands or produce. Most things are a decent price. Would recommend. Employees are always very nice and helpful. The stores are usually pretty clean. (Except when they are stocking or changing seasons).

I'm a Senior Citizen trying to live on a tight fixed income. It not an easy struggle to make end come together. In fact sometimes they go lacking of some of my needs. I have to rely on the bargain product at Dollar General to help me over the gap, & this Company does a excellent job. I recommend this Company to everyone I know with no chagrin about frequently shopping there. I don't push my beliefs/father I've chosen on anyone, yet I stand firmly behind this Company as a patron. Shopping is always a great experience. Large variety, great prices, I love new expanding to include dairy. My only regret is the aisle stays full of things waiting to be shelves. Shopping with my mother is no fo, a wheel chair can't even get down the first isle at doors to many. Stands at front.

My family shops here in an almost daily. It is located on route we use to & from home. Dollar General is great when you don't necessarily want to go to the big grocery stores. They have all the basics, from food, bath, auto & school needs to a last minute gift.

The selection of food items, Household items and everything you need in this one-stop-shop in Franklin. Reasonable prices too! Always stocked. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Courteous. Near door parking. Handicapped parking available.

There is a Dollar General a couple blocks from where I live. It is very convenient to have nearby for many things that they sell. Some items are priced lower than at other retail stores, and that is very helpful.

All shelves are usually full. Prices are duly marked. Aisle could be wider for wheelchair access. They are punctual upon opening. You can always find a person to ask questions about products. Plenty of parking spaces. Could use a couple more handicapped spaces. Parking lot clean and free of debris. All in all, an easy place to shop.

I don't know how our community survived without Dollar General. I stop in there at least every other day. What variety of merchandise they carry. I can always find what I need plus new and exciting things. I hardly have to go anywhere else!

The stores are usually junky and not organized. Some times they don't even have bags after check out to carry merchandise! Many times items are passed the expiration date outdated. I have needed to return an item and the clerk wanted all of my personal information.

On 2/15/2020 I bought a box of TAMPAX tampons. They are defective, when you push the tampon doesn't come out like it's designed to do. I called the store and I was told to put in a complaint. Buyers be aware! I have my receipt.

I love Dollar General because their prices are great! Where else can you buy a six-pack of paper towels for $5 and Kleenex at $1 a box? I also love their locations. They were smart enough to put their stores in neighborhoods. There is a Dollar General store right down the street from me, less than half a mile. Everybody forgets something at the grocery store, or finds out they don't have a particular ingredient they need for a meal. With a Dollar General in your neighborhood, you don't have to go back to the grocery store. It's a Godsend! Their employees are cheerful and helpful and they have products I can't find elsewhere! Excellent!

The Products are Quality and get lots of coupons! Some of their employees not very courteous. Only drawback. I have moved recently and shop at the one in Bowling Green, Ky. The stores in Louisville have better Customer Service!

Products which are high quality can be found at low price! This by itself is a great motivator to a value per dollar hunter. I have found great medical and household items which sometimes are twice as much in retail.

I watch the weekly ads for items I normally buy. When I see something I know is a good sale price, I buy something to get a receipt with a five dollar coupon for usually the following Saturday. Then use five dollar coupon off twenty five dollars or more. For me this is usually coffee, creamer, or toilet paper. Buy several to get twenty five dollars worth. Also, when they have it, they have the best price on Miller beer 16 ounce six packs.

Been there three times in the last two weeks for quick purchases. They had what I needed at very good prices, even picked up some snacks. There's always one near where I am so it's always a quick trip.

Store was nice and clean, employe was very courteous, pleasant, seemed to be quite content with her job, location was Henderson Ky just South of bridge, selection of ethnic cards was a great delight.

Good store for some money saving deals but have found a lot of the things that are overly priced. Can be comparable to buying things from a convenience store, like 7 Eleven compared to Kmart or Walmart. For convenience's sake it can be ok.

I love to travel through country towns and find out the Dollar General is the new grocery store that supply products to the town, that has fallen short for many years and the Dollar General is bringing back community in these small towns even the small towns now that I thought was dead, I see people buzzing around shopping. Keep it up.

I just enjoy wandering the store and finding little bargains. There are always new surprise items. Some items I always try to buy there like batteries, greeting cards, cleaning and paper products. I advise my friends about batteries. I heard on TV that they have tested the batteries and found that the batteries are equal, sometimes better. I've even found some cool pieces of casual clothing there.

Store easy for me. Shop has a variety. Where I shop most of time no long lines where you have wait to check out. Shop here because it is close for me as I am as older person. Prices are in line with most stores.

Dollar General has a lot of good stuff but you need to watch some things. Example bacon is cheaper than grocery store but the ounces is less. Dawn dish soap doesn’t stay soapy as long. Bar soaps have fillers. Cheaper here yes, but in long run if you have to keep buying or using more, is it really cheaper?

I love the variety & convenience of shopping at Dollar General, they always have what I need at a reasonable price with very fast check outs. Great place to shop if you’re in a hurry & want to save money all at the same place.

I don't shop Dollar General. I shop Dollar Tree. I've been to General Dollar and I don't get motivated. I like Dollar Tree a whole lot better. A good selection of stuff and nothing over a dollar. It's my favorite store.

Dollar General is like an upscale Dollar Tree store. It's quick and easy to get out. It has limited varieties compared to a Super Target or Wal-mart, but enough to sub their name brand or something close. They carry major food brands and household goods. They also carry their own dollar section.

Locations everywhere, friendly and helpful employees, terrific variety, have most anything you want even name brand items. They have canned food, frozen food, snacks of all kind, fresh bread, buns, Hostess donuts. Prices better than Walmart. Always my first stop.

They can be tight for space and sometimes seem messy but there are great deals there especially for holidays. I have found really cool stuff for Independence Day in particular. Was also pleased to find Flex Tape there as well!

They have an interesting variety of storage container options. Better than any store I have ever found. I was very surprised to see fabric and wicker design baskets of every size. Some had cute sayings on them.

Crowded, dirty and things not in order. Cashiers not sure how to do their job. Merchandise in carts full of merchandise in narrow aisles. Parking lot is nasty, full of papers and trash. Prices are good on certain things but not so on other items, they are higher than most stores.

The staff is just the best. Always an enjoyable experience. Great selection of beer. I love the fact this franchise is involved with Toys For Tots. As a Marine that speaks volume to me. The store is always clean.

I have faith in Dollar General. When I walk in I don’t second-guess myself. I know that the prices will meet my needs and that the stock is carefully selected for high quality than in other dollar stores. This makes my shopping experience easier and I’m grateful for that!

I like shopping at Dollar General. Their selection of a available merchandise and order of the stores need improvement. Also I have noticed some of their prices on a lot of items are higher than Walmart. Other than that I am pretty satisfied.

Great competitive prices on many, many household items like brand name laundry detergent, bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies to keep your house running and the same goes with snacks like ice cream, chips, soda. A lot to choose without having to go to a gigantic mega store and still getting discount prices. Quick in and out with no long lines. You really can't beat Dollar General!

I love running to Dollar General to get last-minute snacks or household items. The staff is friendly and the selection has greatly improved over the past five years. I am especially pleased with the clearance section, which allows me to try items at a discounted price.

Surprisingly enough. Dollar General has a variety of items I didn't think they would have. I personally like going to Dollar General for more BANG! for my buck. Everything is not a dollar in store, but nonetheless you still come out better getting it from there. The value is just as equal to most major shopping outlets. I had gotten a really cool birthday card that was so hilarious! I didn't think they would this kind of quality. It was the kinda card that plays a funny tune when you open it up! Totally awesome. I would strongly recommend you check out their card section if you really want to give that special moment to someone. Overall what you need to do, stop by your local Dollar General store and find out what gems you can find for good prices.

Quick, inexpensive, variety, meets all of your needs. I shop here frequently. It saves me a lot of money on most everything I need. Is conveniently located. I can get in and out quickly. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Dollar General is the "GO-TO" store when your budget is tight. I had found everything at Dollar General that I need for my home and work. The selections and varieties are endless. I have come across unusual and long forgotten items that I had not purchased in a very long time (like candies from my childhood). DG is the last stop before I go home from work. Believe me, when I stop in for a couple of minutes to pick up whatever, those minutes turns into an hour of walking down each and every aisle looking for that special delight.

I mostly can find what I need for quick stops or special sales. Some of the regular products are not the best quality and I tend to stay away from those. I never buy dog food, or any kind of dog treats at this store.

DG stores are very accessible, the quality of their products are comparable with so called name brand stores; their prices are reasonable, and I can find most any household items I need, as well as a host of special occasion items and gifts.

I shop there for value and choices of products. They have some products I can't find in other grocery stores and are of better quality. Prices are usually better than supermarkets and the stores are located conveniently.

Lots of items for your home. Food that is shelved, frozen and most have some fresh. The cost is slightly higher for food than a grocery store. Clothing and toys, some hardware type items. It's a mini Walmart.

I personally have seen a huge change in the retail store.. It is clean, organized, more selections and friendlier to be in.. Digital coupons save me money and it's fun to do.. Stop by. I promise you'll love it too.

Dollar General can be so much better if aisles were bigger. This is one of my favorite stores to shop. It's crammy but overall, great variety and great quality products. Dollar General is great with top quality stuff.

I have gone to Dollar General many times. I would say that 75% of the time they are out of the item I went there for. It's a shame you have to get there on day 1 of sale or you lose out. This happens over and over again. I don't bother anymore.

They are quite convenient and there is a store on almost every corner and prices are very competitive. I Love it. The hours are very convenient for every shift you work and they are always very well stocked and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about what's in the store and where to find it. I love to shop at Dollar General... Awesome prices, awesome products and awesome team. I can usually find what I need without going to a big department store or into the City. I also love the fact that if I need a large quantity of a certain product I can tell the Store Manager within a reasonable amount of time and she will order more in a special order.

We always find good deals at DG from clothing to slippers, soda, and laundry products. It’s never crowded, easy parking and access. The staff is always courteous, helpful, the aisles are well organized.

I like shopping at this store when I can because they carry a lot of quality products. Everything is not of cheap or poor quality. The prices are great, very affordable, because of that, you can easily wound up spending a lot of money. Whenever I'm looking for something unusual, I almost can count of Dollar General to have it at a great price. I tell folks not to "sleep" on this store. They really have good products. They like the Best Kept Secret. There's something there for everything. Food, household, cleaning, partyware, over the counter medications, etc. A real variety discount store that won't break your pockets.

Dollar General is a nice store and fills a void between a gas station and a grocery store. The prices are reasonable even though usually the quantities are less than a regular size item at a grocery store. Most have a small amount of groceries.

I use Dollar General quite often and find it handy with great prices. Only thing I don't like is that they are now popping up on every corner. Otherwise I love the store and the items I can get at almost half of what I would pay in another store.

I never thought I’d stop at and then keep shopping at Dollar General (DG) stores when the first store opened in the neighborhood about eight years ago. I was surprised at the wide variety, reasonably priced, and commonly known household products within six blocks of my apartment! These stores save money and time in my neighborhood offering wide varieties of numerous well-known brands at almost always significantly lower prices.

Dollar General offers a variety of quality products at very affordable prices, far below other retailers. They are also located within easy walking distance for those without transportation. This is very helpful for seniors and income-restricted consumers.

Well if you can't find something in this store there's something wrong with you. I love buying their canned goods here too. Also they usually have some good buys on bread and their vegetables that are fresh. I also buy their potatoes in the produce department. I have to go up and down each aisle as you never know what you might find.

Recent visits have shown many changes in sales clerks. Longer wait times. Space in store small makes finding sale items difficult. Store is close by and easy to reach. Clerks are friendly but usually don't stay.

Dollar General is a good store overall. It has a good variety when you need to pick something up in a hurry. However, the store aisles are often full of stock cart waiting to be unloaded because they always understaff their stores and there are not enough workers to put away stock. I do often find shelves empty.

I am very appreciated having a Dollar General nearby. I can depend on items that I need at a last minutes thought, instead of having to drive a distance to the larger supermarkets and/or spending a lot of money at the local, WAWA or 7-ELEVEN stores. Prices are GREAT even for name brands but, I do use their brand name products as well and I have no problem with them. The workers are always friendly at the register and beyond. If you can't find something they will help you right away. And, they accept coupons, yeah. They are my BFF.

I live in a small town and a Dollar General opened up here a few years ago. This was the absolute best addition to our town! The prices are amazing and they have such a variety of stuff that you could find almost anything you need. I needed liquid smoke on Thanksgiving morning and sure enough, they had it. It is like a mini Walmart. The store would be perfect if it had fresh produce as well. I don't know how we lived without one for so many years.

Living in a very rural area the choices for groceries is limited to a few stores. For the most part these stores have very high in prices. Dollar General is smaller than other of their sites, but over time they have become a reliable clean place to shop for most items I use. In order to go to large box type stores I have to travel about 75 miles. So we visit Dollar General around once a week in between our major shopping trips.

I really like that this company has many locations. Just about everything is a bargain. I was a regular shopper at the East Northport location until I bought candy there for Halloween. They had roaches in them! I was lucky enough to have my landlord spray immediately and the five I found I killed. Never shop there again!!!

This is a good and fast place to shop for a wide variety of products. Sadly, you can never be certain that the item you purchased last week will be in stock this week. Prices are much better than convenience stores for items which are actually in stock. The cashier stations are not adequate at peak busy times and wait times to be checked out can be long. They also have an absurd system of requiring some who is 68 years old to actually show an ID in order to buy beer or cigarettes.

90% of the stores I’ve shopped are dirty, unorganized, and just a mess. Most of the products look as if they are just thrown on the shelf. Boxes are setting all over and creating a hazardous shopping area. The variety of products available is what I find the best reason to shop this group of stores.

I have a fairly new Dollar General store on my side of town. Bunches of people come here due to the fact it's the closest thing to a grocery store plus clothing and accessories sell well here. I get my dog supplies here and I can even tell you the cashier's names.

Great variety of products and snacks for $1.00. What’s not to like??? Love their greeting cards for two for $1.00. Wonderful paper products for bathroom and kitchen. The gift bags and wrapping paper are a steal. My favorite store is on 4400 West Diversey in Chicago. It is clean, and employees are so nice and helpful!!!

Store has great selection of items. Whether you need laundry detergent to auto or toothpaste. Pricing is reasonable for items, but wouldn’t fill a grocery cart for items. Find this store to be a choice when you need something spontaneous and don’t want to visit a large outlet and have to deal with large parking lots, lines, waiting for checkout.

Lines always long and unprofessional employees. I was wrongfully accused of stealing. Embarrassed in front of others. I called corporate and requested a follow up call in which I never received. They are unorganized, uneducated and need to find a job not dealing with the public.

Tried 5 times to log coupons. Kept getting errors. Couldn't get a phone number just submit electronic message. Got rude people when Google gave me a phone number. Called corporate. Transferred to the rude people again. Never spending another dime here.

They have a good variety of merchandise so quick trips to pick something up is a breeze, such as paper towels, toiletries, pens & paper, etc. They also have milk, bread, lunchmeat, chips, etc. It's very handy to stop in and grab something quick.

We have experienced good customer service. Variety is good. Prices aren't bad. Would recommend them to my family and friends. Just wish we had one a little closer. We like the products they offer. Sometimes they add new items.

There are several stores on my way home and I can drop in to get something that I forgot. They have prices that I can afford. I get my paper products and pet supplies there. They have some awesome sales on kids clothes and toys. When I go into the store I usually buy more than what I went in to get.

Our store in small town central Texas with headcount of approximately 4000 folks is always in stock, very clean. The employees courteous and the manager of our Smithville Texas store is awesome and so professional.

I have always found it a joy to shop at Dollar General. The staff is always helpful when you can't find something. They have a great selection of brand name and store name products. I find that store brand products are just as good as brand name. The prices are phenomenal. I get great deals shopping there.

I have visited several stores to compare and although I do appreciate the low costs of the items, the atmosphere inside the stores make them unwelcoming. The stores I visited are always cluttered with stock in the middle of the aisles, which is sometimes on tall carts that block the items you wish to see on the shelves. The shelves are always unorganized and it is difficult to determine pricing on some items as they are not organized and in the wrong locations. Overall the stores need a lot of clean-up. The staff members that I have come in contact with do not appear to be happy about working in the stores. I would not go so far as to say they have been rude, just not very friendly. I would suggest to corporate to start looking into their district managers first to see if they actually visit or care about the stores that they manage. As with any business, the attitude from the ones at the top usually determine the attitudes of those under their supervision.

As a cancer patient with a mortgage pennies count. They are close to my house in Hyde Park NY but whenever you go in there it's a fight to get through the aisles. Wagons of new stock block most of aisles and merchandise all over the floor. But I need to save money even putting myself at risk of injury.
