Horrible experience with Costco Technical and Warranty Services. They asked me for pictures of my laptop. I've never received a message saying that the email was rejected. When I called to follow up, they asked me to send one picture per email because that was their "policy", so why they don't write it down on their Instructions. Well, I send them over, now they said that they didn't received 3 pictures. HOWEVER I got the Costco email auto-reply for each picture (I numbered each one).
I called again, another wasted 30 min on the phone (she asked me to wait like 15 min, so my guess was "she must be checking the pictures". She told me everything was fine, so I asked for a written response, but she said she was not able to do it, so I asked to put a note on her system saying that she checked that everything was fine with the pictures, then she told me "I am not the department that check that and I can't not transfer you to that apartment, you have to wait 72hrs for a response"..... So, why she make me wasted so much time over the phone if she was not checking the photos????? I am strongly consider cancel my Costco Executive membership based on this experience.

When we opened them at home, unfortunately, both fresh items were spoiled and had a very bad smell. Those were not fresh. Does costco have any excuses for this chitting sells.

I was gifted a car battery from Costco on 9/4/24 while living in California. I started having battery issues and took it to a Interstate Battery store. The battery was defective. I went Costco (AL) with receipts from original purchase and they replaced it using the information on the receipt. However, they sold me the wrong one. I went back to exchange it and they wouldn't sell me the correct battery because I wasn't a member. The only way I could move forward by getting my correct pro-rated replacement battery was to get a membership. So, if I buy a gift for someone out of state/city they will be unable to return, exchange, or repair without a membership; even with documentation. Is this your policy? Is this how you treat potential customers?

Title: Do Your Own Research - Don't Rely Solely on Costco's HVAC Referrals. I've been a Costco member for years and generally trust their recommendations. However, my experience with their HVAC contractor referral was a significant disappointment and a warning to other members. What Happened: When my 18-year-old HVAC system failed, I obtained quotes from Costco's recommended contractor and one I researched independently. The differences were striking:
Equipment Quality: Costco's contractor quoted base model equipment at $21K. My independent contractor provided superior equipment (upgraded outdoor unit and furnace/air handler) for $17K - a $4K difference for better products with the Costco rebate card included. Included Features: Both quotes included UV light and programmable thermostats, but my independent contractor included a premium thermostat with remote sensor and 10-year parts and labor warranty versus basic equipment from Costco's referral. Due Diligence: When I researched Costco's recommended contractor, I found 90+ Better Business Bureau complaints. During follow-up questions, I received inaccurate answers that raised red flags.
Post-Installation Experience: Six weeks after installation, lightning damaged my new system. My independent contractor's owner saw how new the equipment was and replaced the entire outdoor unit instead of just the compressor, plus installed a surge protector at no additional charge. This level of service confirmed I made the right choice.
My Recommendation: Costco's referral may save you research time, but it's not a substitute for doing your homework:
Get multiple quotes (including contractors NOT on Costco's list)Check BBB and online reviews independently
Compare equipment specifications, not just prices
Ask detailed questions and evaluate the quality of responses
Verify warranty terms and post-installation support
I paid in the lower end of average for my zip code for superior equipment and exceptional service - from a contractor I found myself, not through Costco. Trust the Costco brand for products on their shelves, but verify any service contractor referrals thoroughly.

Costco partnered with SUNRUN for a few years, and because we trusted COSTCO, we purchased from SUNRUN to install solar panels on our house in 2019. Ever since that installation, we have had leaks in our roof (coming into all rooms on our 2nd floor) since 2019. Even to today. SUNRUN will not take responsibility for any of it, and even CHARGED us to "remove then reinstall" a solar panel due to a leak that was right there, and roofers had to fix. The leak was right at the solar panel and SUNRUN refused to admit it was related, and charged us $3000 to move the panel for inspection and put it back.
SUNRUN is a very shady company, do not install with them. We spent (up to 2025) $30K additional (not including our contract which was $30K as well) to FIX ROOF LEAKS due to all their solar panel installation. SUNRUN denies everything and to this day we continue to have leaks every year. COSTCO stopped working with SUNRUN at the end of 2024, due to SUNRUN shoddy work (though they don't say that of course). Now SUNRUN works at LOWE's to gyp the people they can snare there.
I approached COSTCO with evidence of all the damage and invoices, and the $30K we had to pay for the leaks. They sent me to their "insurance carrier" and the adjuster came out and looked for 20 minutes then left. Said he would contact us. Never did. When I followed up with COSTCO, someone finally told me "the adjuster could not find direct evidence roof damage by panels". Wow that's shocking. An insurance adjuster who tries to deny a claim so they don't have to make things right for you? Shocking.
To this day, we still constantly have issues with the panels and leaking, AND I don't think we save any money with the panels. It has been the WORST decision we have made with our home, ever. I am very disappointed with COSTCO because I am quite sure they found out early on about SUNRUN shoddy work. After a few years, the noise on that was getting loud, so they parted ways with SUNRUN. But they are unwilling to make it right with us.
We would NEVER have installed solar panels (we weren't looking to do that) but felt SUNRUN made a good pitch and we trusted COSTCO vendors. They are supposed to be well vetted. Well some team at COSTCO really dropped the ball on this one. This has affected so many households, so negatively, that I felt it was my obligation to share my experience and call out SUNRUN and COSTCO. I'm so disappointed with COSTCO, they just left us hanging. They are fine to let you return random little items (food, clothing, etc.) but they do NOT stand by the big ticket items that they have vendors for. (Like solar). I used to be a big Costco advocate, but no longer.

I would have given negative stars if I could. The staff and customers service at Bridgewater NJ is the worst of the world! This is the closest store and I’ve shopped here for more than 7 year, continuing to experience bad experiences. They treat customers like trash! No management, no greetings, no service. In some cold windy morning, you can’t find a shopping cart nearby. You see the employees talking and laughing with each other but not even looking at their customers.
Today after spend 1 hour filled my shopping cart, and waiting 20 mins in the line for checkout, they told me that my card is not working, and rush me to the customer service to find out why. And then after another 10 mins waiting, that lady in the store told me that the other member (my husband) has an online order that didn’t pay… and to all of my questions she just said I don’t know, then she gave me a number to call and the order number, and just walk away! Nobody suggested a solution for the things I had shopped in my cart! I am still the member, just couldn’t pay with the city credit card, but the just walk away! I don’t know what’s wrong with Costco or it’s just this store, but I am not going back to this store, and ending the membership in 2026! Bye-bye, Costco!

As a member since 1986, I’m very disappointed that the quality of a lot of items we buy is declining really badly. For example dog’s pad is not as thick as it used to be, Kirkland soft toilet paper is not as thick as it used to be,…. You can’t rely on Costco to have the same product all the time. For example organic eggs and many other organic foods. Their prepared food is so expensive that I would rather to go to a restaurant and pay maybe few dollars more and be served instead of buying from Costco, then put it in the oven, cook it. Time and electric you use is the same as you go to the restaurant and get served. Their meat is extremely expensive that we definitely would rather to go to the restaurant to eat steak because it is cheaper than Costco! Because of all the above reasons, we decided to cancel our membership after 40 years. We want to try Sam’s Club or BJ’s.

I placed a large order, over $1,000 in November of 2024, which did not arrive. Costco said it had been delivered, it hadn't, so I sent them everything they asked for to prove it hadn't been delivered. The only thing I couldn't send was a picture of my house because by this time I had moved over 500 miles away. They also wanted me to file a police report which, again, I couldn't do because I had moved so far away and the report had to be filed in person. The bank granted me a refund, and then Costco came after me, harassing me constantly to pay them back the money the bank had reimbursed me. This went on for months.
I contacted Costco, I contacted the bank, and nothing helped. They wanted their money. I wasn't going to pay it because I didn't receive the order, but by October of 2025, I had had just about enough of them constantly harassing me that I paid them the over $1,000 just to get rid of them, over $1,000 for something I didn't receive. By this time I had been sent to collections. When my membership expires this month, I will not be renewing. Beware. If you don't receive your order, you'll still be expected to pay for it. Disgraceful.

You all have the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have called 5+ times regarding a refund for an online order. You all keep telling me the refund was processed and the bank accepted the refund but the money IS NOT IN MY ACCOUNT. My bank has no reference to the money or transaction of the refund! I have spoken to countless customer service reps and supervisors including Andre and Jill. I am being told Costco is no longer responsible because they provided proof of the refund. I am out of $850 during the holiday season because no one will help me. I will no longer support Costco ever again.

I jumped through hoops and spent numerous hours to get all 8 photos (all angles, not easy with a broken hinge) and emailed to them, twice because you can only send 1 photo at a time.
Then they approved photos and advised I go get a diagnostic report from a local technician, email it back to them. I did this and waited another 3 days for approval that they would honor warranty. They denied approval for a relatively new laptop with no issues until the hinge broke. Being a Business Exec member does not matter. What a ripoff! I will never again buy a computer on their "great sale" and expect Costco to honor its warranty - do not trust this tech support.

I have been a loyal Costco member since 2006 and have always appreciated the company’s reputation for integrity, fairness, and customer service. However, my recent experience attempting to purchase gold bars through Costco’s online platform has been extremely disappointing. I placed multiple orders for a total of five gold bars. Strangely, three of those orders were cancelled each time the market price of gold increased between my order time and the expected shipment. Costco’s stated reasons were inconsistent and, frankly, implausible. One explanation cited an issue with my shipping address — yet two of the orders shipped to that exact same address without any issue. Another explanation mentioned a supposed “24-hour between orders” policy, which was simply not the case, as more than 24 hours had elapsed between my purchases.
This pattern raises serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of Costco’s vendor practices. It is unconscionable for a company with Costco’s long-standing reputation to allow a third-party partner to behave this way without intervention. I strongly urge Costco to review these vendor policies and make this right for affected members like myself. I still believe in Costco’s core values and hope the company will take this feedback seriously. Costco, please contact me directly — I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this issue and help ensure that your members continue to receive the honesty and service that have defined your brand for decades.

I had a terrible experience with Costco. A customer service representative gave me completely wrong information about a promotion and told me to make a specific purchase, promising I’d receive a refund. I followed their exact instructions — but instead of fixing their mistake, Costco charged me extra, canceled my membership without notice, and now expects me to take responsibility for their error. I’ve spent hours on chats and phone calls trying to get help, but every representative gives a different excuse. I trusted Costco for honesty and professionalism, but this experience showed me the opposite. I just wanted a simple resolution, not endless blame-shifting and frustration.

Dear Costco Corporate Team, I have been a loyal Costco member and weekly shopper at the Brandon, FL location for over 10 years. During this time, my family and I have spent thousands of dollars at this store on electronics, fresh produce, and household items. I have always appreciated the store’s organized layout, the opportunity to discover new products, and most importantly, the friendly and professional customer service. We were always greeted at the door and at checkout, which made shopping a pleasant experience for my family, including my young grandson.
• An employee loudly yelling across the store to direct cashiers to breaks.
• When the register tape ran out during my checkout, I was told to go to customer service for a receipt rather than the cashier obtaining one for me.
• The greeter at the entrance created an unfriendly and unwelcoming impression.
• Employees were operating industrial pallet jacks to stock top shelves during peak shopping times, creating a potential safety hazard.
• Several employees were speaking negatively to one another on the sales floor.
• Employee attire appeared inconsistent with Costco’s usual business-casual standards, contributing to an unprofessional tone.
The overall atmosphere of the store was negative from the moment we walked in. This is a sharp contrast to the high standards I have experienced at this location for the past decade.

As a kidding Grandmother, I told the employee, "Well we are coming to lunch with you." She shared it was their Employee Appreciation Burger Burn, so I told her, "Well, we really going with you now." We went to the area of the Burger Burn and the Manager Candace very nice and although I wasn't an employee, she made us felt as we were and stated it was alright to have a burger. I not only saw pre cut rib eye steaks that would not have been choice graded by any inspector at a beef plant here in the US but also Costco is selling beef that they claim is raised here in the US and processed in the US and that is not true.
In summation a customer can simply google the laws on the books from the USDA. It is legal to import beef that is raised and slaughtered from outside the country and then ship the hanging beef or su primal to the US and package here to meet the claims on their made in the US. The product Costco is selling is inferior, tastes terrible and does not meet grading specifications in accordance with USDA standards. I’m done with Costco, they are liars!!

However, when I tried to use the money to apply towards a Costco purchase today, they couldn't get it to apply the money to my purchase.
After dealing with the manager in the store, and then calling Costco Shop Card customer service, the general answer seemed to be "try again next time". Of course, they offered to apply a portion of the money towards my membership, which doesn't expire until next month. I have no intention of renewing my membership, so basically, I am out the money. Warranty Replacement Left Us Without Pots and Pans – Process Needs Improvement. We ordered a warranty replacement for our HexClad pots and pans through Costco. The delivery date was supposed to be July 3rd, 2025, but now it’s delayed to July 8th, 2025. Here’s the problem: We had to return our original pots and pans to get this warranty fulfilled. Now we’re left with nothing to cook with for almost a week. That forces us to eat out, costing us extra money we weren’t planning to spend.
✔️ Guarantee delivery dates
✔️ Allow customers to keep their old pots until replacements arrive
✔️ Or offer compensation for being left without essential cookware
We love Costco and HexClad, but this situation is unacceptable. Please improve this warranty exchange process so customers aren’t left stranded without the basic tools needed to feed their families.

Costco is pricing itself out of the marketplace. 1st is the executive membership increase that now cost now $130, 2nd is the product pricing and 3rd is the checkout lines. I used to be the biggest Costco fan however they have managed to change my opinion by raising product and membership costs beyond inflation numbers making it hard to justify spending the kind of money there that I have over the last 20 years.
With only 2 of us in the household anymore the fresh food we purchase generally goes bad and gets throw out since it is in such large quantities. They quit carrying the prepackaged salads with a little cabbage in it and that was our favorite. Plus if you are just purchasing grocery items count the number of items in your cart and multiple by $10 and you will see the cost at checkout every time. Every item on average is $10....These stores are not set up for retirees, they are set up to maximize your store spending. I hope all of the executives are enjoying the stock valuation since it is coming at the cost of the membership displeasure. Time to start cutting back on my Costco trips.

Costco continues to exceed expectations when it comes to providing a top-tier shopping experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with a clean, well-organized, and spacious environment that makes navigating the store a pleasure. Unlike many large retailers, Costco maintains high standards of cleanliness — the floors shine, the aisles are uncluttered, and the shelves are impeccably stocked. You never feel like you’re rummaging through chaos just to find what you need.
One of Costco’s standout qualities is its consistency. No matter the time or day, the store remains stocked with high-quality, name-brand products alongside their reliable Kirkland Signature line. Whether it’s groceries, electronics, clothing, or household essentials, everything is available in generous quantities and at prices that consistently beat the competition. Their bulk offerings are perfect for families or small businesses looking to save without sacrificing quality.
Customer service is equally impressive — staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. Even the checkout process is efficient, keeping lines moving quickly without making you feel rushed. In a time when value matters more than ever, Costco proves that you don’t have to trade quality for cost. Clean, well-stocked, competitively priced, and reliable, shopping at Costco just makes sense.

I usually arrange my items in the cart to allow the associate to easily scan. Today though, I was told that they were no longer able to do this and that I had to scan and place on the scale. I asked when did this change and the response of the associate was short and to the point that it was because they were sometimes missing the scanning of the items. My question to myself was, the Costco employees operates the scan gun, which in my past experiences was the only way to enable the option of scanning using the gun. Do they not trust the 4 employees that they have in that area?
I had about 15-20 items that I had in a box already that required me to scan and put on the scale. Well what goes out of the cart has to get placed back in the cart, which took a considerable amount of more time, with no concern for customers having to wait to do this ridiculous process due to Costco not trusting their employees. The other piece of this is that the competitor, Sam’s has the easiest process I have encountered. Why is Costco so far behind the times? You can’t say that it would require more employees as the 4 employees in that area were basically greeters. This is ridiculous that the customers have to suffer because of this outraged process! I do have to say that I spend at least $1000 per month at Costco on renaissance in Albuquerque every month sometimes more.
Over the last year or so the customer service agents at the door take everyone’s receipt and pick through and look under everything as if we’re stealing. Making sure we’re not hiding something. Today, they literally asked me if the jacket I had on was paid for. This completely annoyed me on top of them inspecting my purchases. This new policy is insulting to me as I don’t steal, I pay for my purchases and I don’t like being treated like I’m a thief upon leaving their store. Disappointingly enough I will no longer shop at Costco even though they will never feel the hit of a customer gone. They are a billions of dollars a year company. I have a gorgeous NON FUNCTIONING dishwasher installed. The unit is fine, the installer came in an unmarked vehicle, no uniform, no business card or credentials of any kind and was obviously unqualified. He left me with a big service bill to local appliance store for correcting an improper install on an appliance they did not sell. When I first began shopping at Costco, I immediately noticed a non-consumer friendly practice: They do not label their aisles with the type of items in that aisle. Instead, they number the aisles, with no further information. Employees are few, so you are left to go to the service desk for each item you seek, or wander the aisles until you find the item you seek. Additionally, they follow the common retailer practice of moving items to another section of the store, so you don't ever become too familiar with the location of anything. That way, you are again forced to find a particular item yourself, on your next visit. I mentioned this to someone up front, who was monitoring the checkout and they were unsympathetic.
The next item actually shocked me even more: Costco has begun sending $ earned on the card in the mail in the form of a coupon, to use as a credit towards purchases. It comes across as extremely cynical by Costco upper management, who think they are clever by taking this approach. It is a cynical and greedy tactic, based on one's knowledge of human psychology. Costco's approach appears to be based on the fact that many who receive the coupon in the mail will either forget to use it or somehow misplace it. I don't at all doubt that many of the upper management are bonused every quarter, as well as annually, from the financial gains, from failing the act in good faith with the consumer. At best, this total consumer approach shows a lack of good faith toward the consumer; it appears to be corrupt and conniving theft, at worst.
On the other hand, Costco's main competitor continues their good faith effort on behalf of the consumer, both with clearly labeled aisles, as well as crediting their purchasing points directly to their account, so they never fail to remunerate the consumer in good faith. I generally like what I buy at Costco, but will continue to try and find needed items elsewhere.

The delivery person was in a hurry to make the last delivery (before 6 PM) so he left the broken dryer connected at my house which was confusing to me. Minutes later a Costco service rep called me and asked if I was refusing delivery. I explained technically no, but the dryer I purchased was delivered defective. I disconnected and moved the dryer off to the side, but nobody returned that night to pick it up. This is the short version of a long story.
Even after I was assured I would get a new dryer/working dryer delivered to me in a few days, I was left unsettled by the call I received from customer service. The next day I called Costco customer service to follow up on this issue, and after several minutes of trying to find my case, the customer service rep. told me that the dryer I ordered was out of stock. I was advised to reorder the same dryer on the website which would help get the attention of somebody who could reorder the item for me, but I was told that could take a week or longer. I asked for a refund on my charge card so I could purchase the dryer from another retailer, and not have two charges pending for 1 good dryer, but I was told that I could not get a refund until the logistics company picked up the dryer. I asked for that to happen as soon as possible and was offered a week time frame.
After a conversation with a supervisor, which took nearly an hour to get connected to, we got the pickup date scheduled for a Monday, but I later learned deliveries and pick-ups were not made on Mondays. I received a call from Douglas (Costco Customer Service) who told me about the bad delivery day, and he worked with me to reschedule the pick up of the defective dryer. No one that I spoke to could call the logistics company to have the defective dryer picked up sooner. A defective item that should not have been left at my house. I had my member ID and proof of purchase and they refused to look at it without renewal. I would go to the Richmond TX location. Management is a lot nicer and willing to resolve an issue, it’s literally a night and day difference. So if you are at Costco only for the car battery and the warranty, don’t do it. Save yourself the trouble and go to a local auto shop.

Costco Shipped my puppy pads via FedEx and Fedex no longer delivers to apartments with entry codes at front door. Well that's about all of them. So Fedex sent the package back it was set up for a refund. Then Costco cancels my refund and says nothing. I now have been forced to file a charge back with my Bank. Because the Bank has had many complaints all of the sudden I will get my money no thanks to Costco they told me my money was being refunded. Can't Trust Costco any more. Their refund team canceled it saying it was not in the spirit of Costco to refund my money.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a pet bed which turned out to be way too big. The website didn’t even show the dimensions. So I started a return request and the agent told me I will receive the return label within 2-3 business days. Time passed by and the next agent told me my request was denied by the return department. So I went online to check their return policy. There are some items which are excluded from being returned but dog beds don’t show up. I asked them why they denied the return and the answer was “it isn’t in the spirit of our return policy” whatever that means…
I reached out to another agent explaining the situation a third time and she was trying to reopen the case but after being in a chat with them for at least half an hour I was told they wouldn’t reopen the case because I’m a non-member. Well I’m always ordering from Costco paying a surcharge of 5%. Telling me I’m not allowed to return an item which was not even touched by my dog with an excuse to tell me I’m a non-member. I would call that discrimination. Am I an outsider to you? This company should be reported!

Let me start by saying I believe in a good work ethic and treating people fairly based on how they treat others. I never fail to say "Hi" and "Thank you." So with that being said, coming out of Costco today, standing in line to get my receipt validated and checked, the person had a blue pen in their hand to mark the receipts, which is very common. I am my usual self, said "Hi" and minding my own business, while the employee is going through the cart. At which point the employee marks one of the white pieces of clothing that I had purchased. The employee maybe did not notice (giving them the benefit of the doubt), so I pointed it out. At which point I was told to stand in the return line and by the way no apologies. When I said it is something you need to help me get through, I was told to calm down and it is not their problem.
Now I had to stand in a long return line, got the manager involved for their employees out of line behavior, and manager was least to say, of absolutely no help. Said they were going to talk to them. And I just renewed my membership at a raised price. Been a member 16 years, and the manager tells me that I am more than welcome to drop my membership. Nice work Costco….

I have to say Costco is one of the worst big box stores. Just getting my membership and the shop card straightened out was worse than going to the DMV. Everyone promises "it's all fixed now" but it's not. If you like Costco, good for you. I think they are a mess! You can't scan as you go like at Sam's Club, which I think is a huge time saver. The lines are ridiculous and their hours aren't good either. The only plus is the gas prices.

Ordered three appliances from Costco 3 wks prior to moving into a new build - all scheduled to be delivered the day we moved in. Since I was compensated $50 for the delivery of the dryer that took place a week later, I’ll leave it. But please note, these fools didn’t even install the air vent, left it propped in the vicinity, smh. My refrigerator was delivered the day we moved, but left by the delivery team not working. Customer Service set up a rescheduled date for the following week- not ideal either. Delivery was not scheduled. I had to continuously follow up for 72 hours after The day I was told it would be delivered the previous week — to which it was then delivered, 10 days later. I was told I would be compensated well for this error. HOWEVER, the mgr I was working with refused to call or email me back. To which I did multiple times for 2 wks.
The rest of the customer service reps or managers I spoke to in between were unwilling to work with me because they said they wanted to leave it in the manager’s hands that I dealt with initially, only offered me $50. It has now been over a month, and no one has gotten back with me. I will never order Costco appliances EVER AGAIN. I have two young children and went 10 days without a refrigerator. We lost food and the capability to store food; and had to eat out almost the entire time, which inevitably cost my family more money. My next review is going to BBB.

I was treated like a criminal today. As usual I went to do some shopping and just to find out that they had blocked my account. So we bought some items online and we didn't get everything that the package was supposed have, we send them an email and they send us a new item and we were to send back the items that we got from the fist package. We had options of dropping them off at one of the store nearby or mail them back. We don't have the time so we decided to send them back but before we could send them back we were supposed to get the paper stuff to be send.
Well wait and wait and wait and didn't get anything for them so today we had to do some shopping and decided to bring with us the things, just to find out that we couldn't do our shopping because my account was blocked so to the fact that they were trying to charge me 300 for the items and the card was declined. So the best thing that they were able to do was to block my account and they now did get me really upset because I don't have time to waste for the mistakes they make.
This is not the first time they do this to me. A few months ago my wife went with me and because she was trying to pay because I couldn't find my credit card, they canceled my order and we had to scan her Costco card and redo everything again just because I didn't have my credit card to pay and we both are on the same account. I really don't think they deserve my money. Day after day seems that the situation at this place is only getting worse and worse. Not only is hard to find parking but day after day see more and more angry customers. Hope this review will help someone before they decide to get involved with frustrated moments that a lot of us have to deal as soon we pay for the membership. COSTCO KEEP YOUR MEMBERSHIP. Their employees like trained dogs who follow the master without any deviation. There’s no one to talk to, they didn’t listen or cared. We felt unimportant, uncomfortable, almost as Costco allowed us to shop but as customers we didn’t matter. We will never go back. We own 24/7 residential nursing care homes and spend $45K annually on business groceries, cleaning and office supplies. Sam’s Club, Walmart and Amazon have our business now.
We mostly shop online fast delivery, great service, same products. I am a large multi-million dollar business owner have been shopping at Costco for all my life! My first negative experience ever with them. Walked in with the wife family today, they were ahead of me. Man stopped me, said to scan my card. I told him wife has the card, she is with my daughter, 9 months pregnant as I tried to call out to reach them.
I could see them just around the corner, didn’t provide me time enough to say, "Hello come back, swipe the card for me." Now I was stuck with saying arrest me, I’m going in. I did not feel like I had the patience for this abusive behavior from Costco when I have been a Member my whole life. I felt controlled…like I was at some real stricken military-controlled checkpoint behavior. The fact that I spend over $50,000 per year here now I was being told to wait outside. Well, you can imagine the frustration on my face.
Needless to say, I am canceling my membership end of month informing my employees that we will no longer be providing the incentives to pay memberships any longer. My employees will not be going here any longer to shop, that I can assure you. I was treated with truly unacceptable behavior. I felt like saying a few extra words and well I felt not safe because of the situation was now confrontational, uncomfortable. I was put in bad spot, ruined my whole day. I will be writing a letter to corporate next few days to complain about this and reaching out to the news channels to be interviewed for what happened to me.
Let’s see how the community adapts to this so-called trial run of authoritarianism. Not sure that this was a good idea for them to take this approach with fun friendly business customers, pissed the hell out of me. I asked the reason and said that I have been a member for almost 2 years which I know that we can return it. I asked back if the company has changed the new rule and the staff said yes and told me that, "If you return the chicken the company has to throw it away" only which is very bad. I am confused that the staff said that I am a person who does not value food. So I asked to talk to the manager that I did not know that the company has changed the rule and it got worse when I had to wait for the manager for almost 5 minutes.
When I was about to talk to the manager, the staff told me to go because the store was starting to get busy with the return part and I had something to do in a hurry. Delivery guy tells me the box says 38", he didn't want to open the box and measure it because he knew it wouldn't fit and we would have to order a different fridge. Also said they weren't authorized to take off refrigerator doors to get it in my house. Found out later their delivery people Are Authorized to remove handles or doors to get the fridge in the house. When the delivery guy called to inform Costco the fridge wouldn't fit, he should have been instructed to take the doors off if needed.
We went to Home Depot as soon as they left and found that refrigerator is only 33" deep without handles and would definitely fit through our door. They had a horrible attitude and were very rude to me. They shook my metal pipes and acted like they owned my house. I called Costco support and they sent them out again. we had the same problem. I asked them to please just install it and they said they had other clients and couldn’t do it but I could do it myself. They carried my washer about two inches to the faucet and then watched me install it. They told me they couldn’t install it and if they broke it then it would be Costco's fault and I could return it to Costco.
What kind of installer makes the homeowner install the washer. This is the worse experience I’ve had with Costco. This courier company should not be in business. They said the corrosion on my pipes are the reason why they couldn’t install my washer. My washer was working perfectly fine and they couldn’t just screw the rubber hose onto the pipes. I would be careful with ordering online from Costco. They make more trouble for you. Save yourself the effort and buy it at Costco and then hire a plumber. Don’t waste your time with it unless you want to experience disrespect in your home. If you know nothing about plumbing then hire someone. As appealing as the offer may be save yourself the trouble. Costco saves me money on half and half and Chocolate milk. That's it, seriously! Not even does it same me on gas. I can use Upside for free and get an even better discount on my gas, plus I can use the cash back where ever I decide. When compared to what savings I received at Sam's club, "Cost"co is pathetic! It'll Cost ya for sure! Where we are in Boise I no longer have a Sam's Club. Sams is $110/yr, 5% cash back on gas, 5% cash back in store shopping, 2% cash back dining, free shipping, plus huge discounts on in store items. Scan and Go where you scan your own groceries through the app on your phone, check out with your Sam's Club credit and you can apply any cash back you've received for the month on your purchase right then and there, THEN you bypass check out and head straight to the exit door with your receipt on your phone.
Sam's has a Huge selection of chips and prices are $1 or more cheaper than Costco! Example: bananas Costco $1.99/lb (not organic), Sam's $.57/lb. Romaine Costco $5.79, Sam's $3.59 plus 2 more heads than Costco! The list goes on and on like this. Costco membership $120/yr, $10 more a year with less cash back savings than Sam's. Even their cash back isn't truly cash back! It's only good for use in store and made available once a year! I can use my cash back at Sam's on anything once it's paid to my account! It's linked to my credit card, not the store! I hate Costco. I hate how busy it is and I hate how greedy they are!
Their app is pathetic! You can't scan items in store to check prices nor read reviews on items. Highly limited. Forget trying to price compare before you go shopping, Costco doesn't list their food prices online. Probably because if they did they'd not suck people into the store. After this year I won't be back. Greed makes Costco unreasonably priced. I'll shop at Winco and Walmart. They don't charge me for the privilege to shop there. Nor do they price gouge me on every day items.

He appeared very sincere at the beginning as get as me to go over in detail all the issues I have had over about a 4 month time period ordering about $10,000.00 worth of appliances.
I explained the problems (about 10 major Issues that occurred over that 4 month time period). About another 2 months have now have gone by and these Steve has done NOTHING to resolve these issues as he promised. Now he has someone else call me (maybe an Assistant). In any case she says she has no knowledge of any of the the many issues Steve and I discussed? Steve's tactic now appears to give me the runaround hoping I give up? So Costco, I've been a loyal customer for the last 10 years. Me and my wife, but I have to say hands down the Bridgewater. New jersey costco off of promenade Avenue is by far the worst customer service Costco. Ever when it comes to management how they handle? There one-on-one interactionns by asking for an ID every 5 seconds. When the Costco's in the local area, only ask for the I. D when you walk in the door or if you check out with an actual Costco employer. Not at the self checkout when you have to scan your I.D. they actually harass you and follow you if you do not present the I.D. which they done to my wife on many of occasion? We now have to shop at a Costco, which is 10 minutes further from our house. Because it's become that much of a problem. Also, the staff at the pharmacy are. A bunch of judgmental unprofessional that don't know how to do their job.
I've been using that pharmacy for about 6 years off and on. And the only reason why I went to them for that long is because of the prices on the medication, but I've had so many difficulties. That costco, corporate gave me a two hundred dollar free Prescription because of how they judged me off of my medication, which by the way, saved my life and I wish a lot of my friends could have been on the same medication because they would be around today. If they were... the pharmacist in Costco, in Bridgewater, act like their doctors. They're nowhere close to it. They have no business on telling. The prescriber. What is good? And what is not? That is the prescriber's doctor's job, not theirs!!.
They messed up my prescriptions. On purpose More times than I can count on my hand twice because of how judgmental they were. But after they got screamed out by corporate, they got a little bit better on the pharmacy side plus I don't see Lynn there anymore so she might I've got transferred on even fired Which would be a wise decision on Costco's end, but moving on, do not shop at that costco.
We have a pro membership and regular membership. And spend thousands and thousands of $, and it's unfortunate we have to go to another Costco that doesn't treat you like a third world country. When you walk in, none of the other Costco's in the area treat their Customers nowhere near how they do their protocol. There in Bridgewater is almost like the manager made it it up to do whatever he wants. Or she wants because we do not get I.D. at any other Costco in the area at self check out? And I'm talking about 3 other costcos within a 20 mile radius. We go to, so it's not a coincidence.
Somebody really needs to check into who is running that operation at Bridgewater cosco in Bridgewater. And maybe go over their procedures, because all they're doing is making beautiful. Women like my wife when I'm not there. Feeling uncomfortable when they're following her around the store knowing. She is a regular costco member because they see Her face all the time and she. Refuses to show her ID at self checkout. And that's the reason they harass her when she shows it out the door or if she goes on a regular line. But no other Costco looks at your I.D. at self checkout!!!, that's a little ridiculous. Because you need to scan your card to. Run your merchandise and like I said their managers. And workers were following my wife because she didn't want to show it to intimidate her not a good look.
If I was there, I'm not a violent person but I would have put them on social media and they would have got exposed. And I might have had a couple of bad words for them. Plus they threatened her, they will kick her out of that Costco. If she refuses to show her ID. At the self checkout, when other costcos in the area. Don't even care as long as you show it at the entrance, and if you go to a regular register. Not self, checkout, this is not Germany during World War 2.And Bridgewater Costco feels that way?
My name is Carlos **. My phone number is **. Anybody at corporate can call me if they have any questions about this issue. But when you make my wife feel uncomfortable. I am going to let it be known and expecially when they Harassed her to the point she had to call me because she felt so uncomfortable. And would not let her shop in peace, and this is before she even went to the register. Self checkout because they know her to be the one not to show her I. D at self checkout, she's very independent. And a very strong person We live in a society where you should be able to shop. In peace and not feel afraid And unfortunately, Costco in Bridgewater of a promenade in New Jersey. That's what they do. I'm disgusted if there was A B. J's Closer to my house I would get rid of Costco. As a member Completely solely based off of bridgewaters. Ways!!!
As far as kicking her out of the store permanently is something that can't be done on their end because she's not following their protocol, not Costco's. Because no other Costco does it so on that note? I really hope somebody reaches back to me. Because all the money we spend As a business owner and for my family of 5 on the. Regular basis. We should not have to go to another Costco, because of how. Uncomfortable, that Costco makes you feel in Bridgewater. Thank you, I would give them a 10 negative star. Review if I could!!!!

I feel (and others I have spoken to) that Costco's membership fee is ridiculous, compared to what you actually save. Non grocery items can save you a few dollars, but their grocery items are no way near wholesale prices! COSTCO is a multi-billion dollar Corp. and they do not pass on enough of a savings to their high fee paying members. The membership fee should not be any more than a maximum of $50.⁰⁰ per year, or just charge an annual renewal fee of $25.⁰⁰ to keep your existing plan in effect.

I'm a long-time customer at Costco. Usually I have a good experience in Costco. But today my husband and I went to Costco on Dundas and Dixie to get our screensavers. Done, there's 2 employees serving 2 customers. When we got there, one was surveying a blonde lady. He came around the corner to get something he knew we were standing there and there was another one. Employee with a bearded mustache. He was serving someone else. We'd been standing there for a good 25 minutes and they didn't even acknowledge us when we got there. We asked the guy. "Excuse me, how long is this gonna take number one?"
The one that was serving a blonde lady ended up taking somebody else before us and the other guy just kind of said. "Oh, I'm having a problem with the server on the phone." And he just blew us off. I am very disappointed with these 2 employees. I am a manager of a salon. You do not treat Customer like that. You don't blow them off like that and take other people. We arrived and my mother misplaced the number she was given when first signing up online. We went to Customer Service for assistance. My mother asked the man from Customer Service for assistance to see if he could lookup her information. The man replied, “do you know how many people we have in our system?" This associate was very rude and condescending to my mother. Apparently, it was too inconvenient to do. My mother showed the man proof of payment for signing up online. Since it had yet to reflect in Costco system, my mother was asked to pay the fee again. The man told my mom she could come back in a few days to get reimbursed. We thought we live an hour away but will do it. We shopped and checked out.
I learned Costco recognize Visa and was told I need to get a Visa card. I have Mastercard and used my PIN number to complete my purchase. The first encounter we had was with Customer Service which left an unpleasant, bitter encounter with us. I convinced my mother to cancel her membership as it was not worth the hassle of everything we went through. It was canceled, thankfully. One of the store managers said , “it’s a privilege for us to shop there”. I'm unsure where the privilege is for us based on the initial encounter we experienced and the overall reviews are poor. The beef at Costco are not only expensive but also from old cows. Their frozen food (Asian & Mexican) have hardly any chicken, cheese & beef in it. THEIR frozen fruit like mango, strawberries, blueberries are picked too early and are sour. Costco brings these junk, no style furniture that really belongs to third country style.
Overall Costco products are premium junk products that cost not only pays cheap to suppliers but also make additional money by selling in bulk quantities. My experience. I loved Costco when it opened about 50 miles from me a few years ago. Their loss leaders on things we use, and their low gas prices, made it more than worth a trip once per month. There were great deals on products, and the store brands were quality. I joined. I told my friends to join. But over time, it changed for me. I would LOVE a product and then next trip it would be gone forever. I found myself scratching off **many** things on my list as I made my way through the store because items we had come to love were discontinued.
Employees seemed happy and helpful at first. But over time I noted a lot of stressed faces and less desire to help a customer. Then, they moved to self-checkout lanes. At first, they would still keep one human lane open. I waited patiently in line to use the human checkout, because the self checkouts rely on the tiny little weigh tables to try to prevent theft. Shopping there once per month, my cart was always packed with big bulk items. A cart full of huge bulk items does not unload onto a tiny weigh table, where all items were expected to remain until you were done checking out. Such weigh tables are meant for a few items, not a cartload of big bulky items. I figured the self-checkout was for customers who ran in to buy one or two small things.
The last straw for me was when they used scores of carts to create a blockade across the front of the store, blocking off the former human checkout lanes and forcing customers to use the self-checkouts with the tiny weigh tables. I complained. I was told it was my choice to use the self-checkouts or leave. So, I left a heavy cartload of stuff and walked out. I had to use Google, as the store didn’t make it easy to find or call corporate HQ. But I called and I complained. They said that store managers were allowed to do this, although it’s not a nationwide policy. I canceled my membership and got a full refund of my membership payment. So, this is not necessarily the experience at ALL Costcos, but it was my experience at one.

Mind you it takes three to five business days to have a pending charge fall off your card, so I am out the $400 for days until my card company removes. When I called Instacart to find out what was happening they said the shopper had a personal issue come up and couldn’t complete the order. Instacart should have immediately reassigned the order instead of cancelling it and they admitted such when I called. I am disgusted with the entire process and the response from both Costco when I called and Instacart leaves a lot to be desired in the way of customer service.

We ordered and scheduled the delivery a week after we ordered it (that was the soonest they could do it). The delivery person arrived on time with the appliance, and we were told he could not install it because the water shut off valve was not in the correct spot. It was on the other side of the wall to our mud room. We were told that it had to be directly to the refrigerator. So we said we would have a plumber come and place the valve for us.
We had a plumber come within two days and we called to reschedule delivery. Again, another two weeks until we could get delivery. The delivery was scheduled, and the driver showed up again. We were told he could not install it today because of the snow! There was literally 1 1/2 inches of snow on the ground. I asked if he could come later in the day, and we would have someone come and shovel the sidewalk for him. They said no, he is on a tight schedule. I said, since he is not installing our refrigerator, he will be at least an hour and a half ahead of schedule, so he should have time at the end of his shift. Well, the woman on the other end of the phone could not have been ruder. She went on about how tight of the schedule he had. I said we could have the sidewalk clear after his next delivery and he could circle back, but she wanted to have nothing to do with that. I said, fine please cancel the order. Once she heard that, she hung up on me.
So, I had to call Costo back to make sure the order was cancelled, and we would be getting a refund. I ordered a dishwasher from Costco and they called me to confirmed the delivery date two weeks later. I took a day off and waited at home, and surprisingly no delivery. They called again to reschedule, and I asked for a firm date and they assure me it will be a firm date. I request my employer to take another date off from work and waited at home, and another no show. I called them and they scheduled another date, and final they delivered the dishwasher and they put it in my garage. Now comes the installation, which included with the purchase. The phone calls back and forth, and same thing with several no show. Costco finally said they will credit me $100 for all the inconvenience. We are into almost two months and the dishwasher still seating in my garage. I should of buy it from another place and install it myself. Costco services is a way below expectation. It has been become the worst.

The store clerk won’t let me check out because the card is not under my name. Had I known this is the case I should just order from Costco online. Waste of time and energy. And the executive membership is not so executive I guess. Really bad experience.

..Unless you do not value your time. You are not saving money. We bought a Bosch dishwasher from Costco. The purchase included delivery and installation. It took them 5 weeks to deliver the appliance and then the delivery men do not install the appliance. Costco never contacted us for an installation appointment. We spent hours on the phone with Costco Logistics trying to get an idea of when the installer would come. The installer Costco selected was 375 miles away from our home. The installer would not even give Costco customer service an approximate date for the installation. At this point we have spent several hours of frustrating time with Costco customer service and are no farther along.

My high end fairly new GE fridge bit the dust just before Thanksgiving & just after I’d shopped for the holiday. I realized it had croaked, but not in time to save the food. The appliance repairman gave me three manufacturer options that he felt require the least repair. I searched for another refrigerator that would fit our oddly sized space to no avail. Then I searched the Costco site. I had to go old school and selected a model with freezer on top. I ordered it and they delivered it and set it up this morning! The delivery experience was great! Sean, the delivery man, called when he was on his way. He and his compatriot removed the broken fridge and put the new one in place. They stripped off all the wrapping, plugged it in and gave me instructions on how long to let it cool before loading it up again. They were very professional and helpful!

Ordered a laptop, as a gift, for delivery in another state. Ordered Saturday 12/2 and expected delivery Tuesday 12/5. On Wednesday, the order status was weird, so I called. I was told it was in “label limbo” and offered to keep waiting or to order a replacement since customer service did not know where it was either. We reordered. On Thursday, still nothing showing on the orders section so called again. Could not understand the agent because his phone kept cutting out. Agent called me back and he said it was scheduled for delivery today and gave me a tracking number. Tracking number was invalid, so requested a supervisor.
Spoke with Marc, out of Oklahoma City, who downplayed the whole situation and when I requested a correct tracking number, he hung up. No call back. Called and spoke with another agent and requested immediate transfer to a supervisor. This agent gave me the “Costco HR” and then held for a supervisor, which took almost an hour. That supervisor said my phone was the problem and it kept cutting out and disconnecting (this is a new phone of less than 2 months and has been working great). This agent did call back and again pointed all fault to my phone.
Still does not explain the absolutely NO communication concerning the “lost” item, canceling of the replacement and then finding the original order. Only found out that it was being delivered by calling. Still no computer and no way to ask for assistance because every person I spoke with today at Costco could not have cared less. I’ve been a loyal Costco customer for over 20 years, but this interaction has me rethinking this, especially since there is not a store near me and I order online a lot.

I bought $700 worth of products. Accused me of theft when leaving. Terrible. Stressed. So they say that if you bought 60 items then they would need look through your basket and count 60 items before you can walk out the door. If you want to count items, you should do it at the cash register not at the door. This was very disparaging toward an old person and I do not appreciate it. You have created a hostile, accusatory environment. So they accused me of theft as I walked out the door. Very rude towards old men. Waste of time. I won’t be back until you can count your items at the cashier. Your environment is very hostile. I would recommend Never going to Costco unless you would have a lot of time and you want to be accused of things you did not do.

Costco saturates our area & it is VERY frustrating that they will not S T E P I T U P for their loyal customers!!!
1 - They do not take MASTERCARD so we can't earn our points with our credit cards we have.
2 - They do not offer on the Costco app where you can scan your items in the stores & pay right through the app & then head right to the check out line like SAM’S CLUB allows. NO STANDING in LONG LINES TO PAY & Checkout.
3 - Costco does not consistently carry items that we are accustomed to buying on a regular bases from them & we don’t realize it until we have already traveled to the store & are inside. By then our cart is already filled & we don’t even get the items we originally wanted there.
VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. We believe that the extra drive time to SAM’S CLUB might just be worth it if Costco won’t step up their game and offer their loyal customers a great and comfortable experience in all areas.

On October 2, 2023, I bought a penne chicken alfredo (prepared meal) at the Costco in Ottawa on Hunt Club. While eating it the next day I got a mouthful of fingernail clippings in that meal - 3 of them and I stopped eating, it turned my stomach and was horrifying, sickening. There could easily have been more. I called them immediately about it: I followed their instructions to go into the store and I completed their "report", got my money back for the pasta; they told me to keep it in the freezer, that their legal team was reviewing it. Over the next month and a half I was blown off 3 times when trying to follow-up.
This company profited over $30B USD last year on our backs and that value grows annually. They profess about values and ethics on their website. I would think that customers are of value to Costco. Over the years that my husband and I have been members, we have spent probably tens of thousands there, I have always loved the store. But to be blown off so easily by them for a health and safety violation like this - what appears to be a form of sabotage because that sort of thing is not an accident - I realize there is no customer appreciation or respect at all, something that really surprised me. Customers are not valued and I am left to feel like I am lying about it.
So I share with the public here that any prepared food in clamshells or other unsealed containers that Costco sells are subject to pubic hair, crusty snots, spit, anything: their answer to me was that I was free to go ahead and pay to have the pieces scientifically tested (which I am sure they know the average shopper will not do). So be careful. The Manager there simply told me that it was "not possible" that his staff put the nail clippings in the food "because they wear gloves and they just wouldn't do that". Their corporate response was similarly as dismissive. They suggested outlandishly that the pieces could be chips of uncooked pasta mixed in with the saucy, cooked penne. I used to bite my nails: they were FINGERNAILS. I could not believe it, I am really shocked. Please share with others as a warning, all Costco customers have a right to know that this can and did happen.

I ordered a replacement electric stove on November 13 with a delivery date of November 22, the day before Thanksgiving. On Monday, November 20 I was informed that the item would not be delivered as promised primarily because it wasn’t shipped for a good five days after I ordered it. Upon contacting customer service and Costco executive office it was determined that they didn’t know where the stove was. My research showed that it was in Atlanta on Monday, which was more than enough time to get it to Memphis to be delivered as planned.
The most frustrating part was the lack of compassion, Rudeness and false Information recorded by the first representative I spoke with whose name is Kathy. The second representative I spoke with proceeded to berate me telling me that Kathy had made comments of my rudeness. To be clear I was not rude. I was frustrated and upset. As of this morning the day my stove was to be delivered, I have canceled the order. If this is the way, Costco treats its customers (I upgraded to executive status before ordering the stove). I’m not sure I’m interested in patronizing Costco again. This certainly leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and I consider my holiday ruined, thanks to Costco!

The store in Scarborough Maine opened on Nov 17, 2023. I had purchased my membership online and used my Sam's Club Mastercard to pay for it. I went shopping there today (Nov 21, 2023) and am very disappointed with the treatment I recieved and the apathetic approach to customer service! The problem started when I went into the store to get a few items and discovered that there were NO signs for any of the aisles describing the category of items in that aisle. I went to the Membership Desk to ask about a listing of where the various items were located only to be told that Costco had no such document. When I questioned that policy I was told that I was supposed to walk around the store to find what I wanted. The person I was talking to asked what it was specifically and when I told him he directed me to two places that would have what I wanted....WRONG!! Evidently even the employees in the store don't know where things are!
After having found what I wanted (only 2 items btw which took over 20 minutes of aimless wandering since there was no one to ask) I went to check out. Imagine my surprise! I bought 1 pack of muffins in the bakery. They were on sale (???) at 2 for $9.99 so I assumed I would be charged 1/2 the cost or possibly a little more but NO!! I was told I HAD TO BUY BOTH PACKAGES AND THAT EVEN THOUGH I ONLY WANTED ONE I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR BOTH!! I left everything on the register, told the checkout person to have them returned since I was not buying anything and went back to the Membership Desk to cancel my membership.
When I provided the credit card I had used I was told that it wasn't possible for me to have used a Mastercard since Costco only accepts Visa! Despite my protestations to the effect that the MC was indeed the card that I had used she told me that I was mistaken; since she could not refund it to the MC card she had to use cash (fine with me). I was looking forward to Costco thinking that it would be an alternative spot to go shopping...WRONG!! I'll go back to using Sam's Club where they treat their customers with more dignity and respect.

11/20/23 We went to Costco on 192 Ave in Vancouver Washington. We were looking to get a prime rib roast for thanksgiving, I had already searched ads for a good price and Walmart had usda choice prime rib for 12$ and change. Walmart's meat looked great. Marbling was beautiful. Sadly they only had 8 lb roast was the biggest so we went across the street to Costco, which had been our plan from the beginning. The prime rib at Costco was plenty big, but there was little or no marbling in any of the roast. The meat manager was stocking the case so I asked him if he had any prime beef in the prime rib, his answer was no. I then asked why I was being charged 14$ and change for meat that looked like select grade when across the street it was 2 dollars less. That's when he really helped me out, he simply said go to walmart so we did, found a bigger roast, excellent marbling, better price and now I think I can save myself an extra hundred a year without buying into the Costco membership scam for higher priced food.

In the past couple years I have had to change my ordering protocol because Costco isn't able to follow through on almost every order. More than several times, I have received emails well after the purchase from Costco to apologize and state that the order has been canceled or will arrive much later than promised due to unexpected problems. This is not ok. Small businesses depend on affiliated companies following through on orders and shipments in the agreed upon time. I am sad to say that I am considering not renewing my membership with Costco. I have better luck with follow through from a company I actually own stock in...Amazon.

We bought a dishwasher from Costco online. The purchase price included the installation. It leaked the day they installed it. Caused $12,000 plus in damages. They are denying responsibility. They have been giving us the run around and saying it is the installers fault (who they sub contracted to do the installation), and the installers are saying it's the manufacturer's fault. The bottom line is that since the price paid included installation, Costco is in fact at fault. I believe they are burying us in paper work and phone calls and sucking the time out of us hoping we will go away. It seems like our only chance is to sue them which costs money. I recommend buying from a small mom and pop shop where they take pride in their installation and they will not give you the run around if there is a problem. Trying to get something done with this big company has been a nightmare.

My first trip today after many years. And to my shock the store allows dogs, I’m not talking service dog. I walk down to the end of a food aisle and we have a dog defecating on the floor. The owner stood talking on her cell phone like it was a common occurrence and normal. The person she was with came over and started to clean up the mess, he overheard my comment that it was the first time I’ve seen a dog poop in a grocery store. When he finally cleaned up the mess and in passing he yelled at us. Have we not seen a dog poop before. I guess this was a normal for them. It wasn’t the fact the dog had to go. It was the attitude of the owners. This is a normal thing to do in a grocery store. Dogs should not be allowed unless they are a trained service dog.
