    I bought two bed skirts. The color wasn't right so I wanted to returned them. They charged $17 to return them. They cost $50 total. It would have been more to return but I put the two bed skirts in the same envelope. I will never buy from them again.

    Recently received my first bill from Bed Bath & Beyond's 0 interest for 12 mos on furniture I purchased. On the bill, however, I noticed a $9.+fee charge. So, I called customer service and was told that the fee was for the account I opened and I could call them about the fee charge. I asked if this would be charged each month and the response was YES! I asked to pay the entire bill with my credit card and was told that BB&B does not accept credit cards, only debit cards. I plan on paying off my balance and closing this account ASAP!

    I purchased a coffee table from them. I hired someone to assemble the coffee table and we came across 4 pieces that were damaged. I filed a case on their website to have the 4 replacement pieces sent to me and even received an email stating the replacement pieces had shipped. After waiting a while and not receiving the replacement parts, I reached out to them via chat (chat is the only way you can contact them). They informed me that there are no replacement parts available and returning the coffee table is the only option. Now I'm stuck with a partially assembled coffee table, no box to return it in (the installer threw away the box) and a coffee table that is unusable.

    AWFUL return policy!!! I had a quilt and a VERY lightweight under stuffed pillow to return. They charged $22 EACH to return them as they were from diff. makers (over 50 % cost of pillow). I will NEVER purchase from here again… buyer BEWARE.

    I purchased a pretty large electric fireplace tv stand. It was just over $300. The fireplace started making very loud whining sounds a few days after assembly. Contacted Bed bath & beyond and they said they’d have to contact the supplier. The supplier said they could not replace it and told me to fix it myself. After several phone calls and over a dozen emails and a month of time all they tried offering me was like $25 back, refused to exchange the fireplace. Said my options were to take the $25 or send back for a full refund.

    I did not want to disassemble the stand and send back when all I needed was the fireplace part. They come separately and are entirely separate pieces. They also refused to let me speak to a supervisor claiming they had the same capabilities. Eventually they bumped the partial refund to their max amount of $48. If you search to buy a fireplace replacement it’s $150. This company is a joke and the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Highly recommend buying off Amazon, I’m sure they have very similar products and much greater customer service.

    Do not deal with this company. They sent and charged me for twice the amount I ordered. To take it back and refund my money for the duplicate order that they sent they charge you $26. Rip off company. Go somewhere else.

    I have never had such a poor experience with a company. I have purchased an electric fireplace tv stand which I was really excited about getting. After paying for professional assembly which by the way was excellent, I've notice what appeared to be a possible electrical issue, I have contacted BBY for over one month to try to have someone come look at it. At first customer service seemed to want to help but then kept getting the runaround since. I have also paid for the warranty protection as well. I have been more than co-operative with all of their requests and have gotten nowhere. At this point I have given up and will NEVER do business with them again. Truly disappointed with this company!!!

    My wife and I purchased a Murphy bed from BBandB for an amazing price, but one week later they claimed that the bed was “out of stock” and refunded our money. I did not want a refund. I wanted the deal we agreed upon. The bed we purchased was gray, but they had the exact same model in white in stock for a higher price. I wrote them and they disregarded my request. I tried several times to communicate my wishes. The gray bed that they claimed was out of stock was relisted for sale one week after they reneged on our deal and refunded our money with consulting us. I finally got to talk to someone at the company and they admitted that they listed the bed for too low of a price online, so they decided to lie and listed the product as out of stock in order to avoid honoring our deal.

    I told them that I was going to report this to the Better Business Bureau and he said ok— “Here’s the case number if you need it.” In other words, they aren’t doing anything to make it right. I won’t do business with them again, and I would caution others not to deal with them. They are not reputable or honorable. Steve **

    I'm ashamed of myself for not first investigating this scam of a company. Like so many others, I ordered a product and waited and waited for weeks without receiving it. I finally got through to Customer Service and was told that the item is out of stock. I told them to cancel everything and give me a refund. That was over a week ago and I still haven't seen a credit to my account. You talk about deceptive business practices. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT do business with Bed, Bath and Beyond Online!!!

    They are the worst, every aspect of their business is deceptive. The dresser I ordered online had a different name (Coromore) on the website but when the item arrived it was a common name (Garvee) that several online retailers sell. I couldn't price shop due to the name being different. Amazon and several other online stores sold the same dresser at about 60 dollars less, even though I used their famous 25% off coupon. The website says they have a price match guarantee but it's not on every item. I wasn't able to speak to anyone, only AI. I called twice, the 1st time the wait was 66 min, the 2nd time the wait was 49 min. They have text option so I tried it but again it was AI, so you can't ever speak to anyone. I tried to return the item, and buy it cheaper from Amazon but bed bath wanted to charge me 147 dollars for a return label. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Buyer beware! This company is deceptive.

    I ordered a bed (headboard and frame) and paid for installation, which was through Angi. The Angi service didn't work but I had to work directly with Angi to request a refund (this should have been done by Bed Bath and Beyond). However, Angi did refund my money to Bed Bath and Beyond. The Angi representative told me the money would be refunded to my original form of payment (credit card). Bed Bath and Beyond would only give me an in-store credit. Really awful customer service (on the phone for over an hour twice trying to resolve issue). I would never buy a product from them again. Their practices are deceptive and they don't serve customers well. No wonder several of their stores are no longer in business.

    I just experienced a terrible customer service experience. I ordered a duvet cover for guests staying at our house in December. Due to a (significantly) delayed delivery, I had to buy another duvet cover. Ordered Nov 14; eventually delivered Dec 12. They would not waive the $20 return fee, which was 50% of the duvet's total cost. It used to be one of my favorite stores, but I will not buy at this store anymore!

    The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. It took close to 2 hours and 3 different modes of communication to speak to a real person. A $315 item arrived cracked and broken. If I want a refund, it is my responsibility to re-package and front the shipping cost, which would be high as it is very large and heavy. Will never order from them again.

    Have a great deal for Cyber Monday to cancel it and claim they didn’t have it. They had the same item in another color. They just didn’t want to honor the sale price. And 10% off? I was getting an item for $368 that the original price was $1700. Seems like a bait and switch.

    The product images on the website were misleading. The comforter I received looked nothing like the bright, vibrant colors shown online, it was flat and dull. When I contacted customer service, I was told that they cannot guarantee the product will match the images, and that I would be responsible for return shipping costs. This feels like misrepresentation, leaving the customer to pay for their mistake. I will not be doing business with Bed Bath & Beyond again, as trust and accuracy are essential when shopping online.     Had I seen this site prior to ordering today, I would have never purchased anything from Bed Bath and Beyond. In the past, I've had very good experience shopping in their stores; literally years and years of purchases.... over 25 years. I had not ordered anything from them since they became an online retailer. Unfortunately, today I decided to give it a try. I ordered an item. And after I placed the order, and purchased the assembly, I saw that the assembly part of the order was not automatically scheduled. I had to call another number to set it up.

    When I reached out to do this, I received a message saying, that due to the high volume, there weren't any appointments available anytime soon. So I decided to cancel the order because I need the item very quickly. So I called the customer service number at BBBeyond, and I waited over an hour to speak with someone. And when someone came on the line, the person said I couldn't cancel because I would have had to have canceled within one hour, but I was on the phone on hold for an hour.

    They said they would try to send a message to the department to cancel and put me on hold again for another 10 minutes, and came back with no guarantee that the item was canceled and said, "Well, if it doesn't get canceled," it'll be shipped to you and then you can return it. And now I'm reading that the cost of returning the item could be a huge portion of the cost of the item. So probably it won't even be worth it to send it back. This just is not right. I will never use him again, and I will stick to Amazon and Wayfair who do a much better job of customer service and assisting with issues that come up. I also felt like I was speaking to someone in another country because the accent was extremely difficult to understand.

    My order was received on time, but during the installation that I paid for, the technician noticed that some parts were damaged and some missing. BBB has been notified of the situation and they promised to ship replacements. Still no replacement and after several calls a week and over 6 hrs of my work time talking to incompetence reps I am still stock with an item that is paid for with no resolution in sight. Don’t waste your time spending any thing over $10 on this website as it’s more like a Scam, no wonder they went bankrupt. No emails that the promised to send, no credit, but they’re sitting on my $682. Amazon anytime.

    BUYER BEWARE of online ordering. I ordered dishes online. I changed my mind. I called within a few hours of ordering to cancel the order. Since the delivery date is almost 2 weeks out, I assumed it wouldn’t be a problem. WRONG… They refused to cancel. I would have had to cancel my order within 60 minutes from the time I ordered. Now, to return them I will have to pay shipping at a cost of $100. I’m so upset over their unfair and unethical business practices. They are NOT customer friendly and I’ve definitely been bamboozled!! Read the fine print before ordering or check Amazon where returns are never an issue. I will NEVER do business with them again. ~

    I ordered a table Nov 13 and paid over $1300 for it. It was estimated to arrive between Nov 19 - Dec 2 and today is Dec 3. It still hasn’t arrived. It has been sitting in SLC (about an hour away from me) since Nov 25 (according to tracking service). Customer service by phone was a 45-minute wait. Texting customer service they replied they would look into the order and reply within 7-10 business days. This is unacceptable. Never buying from BBB again- very disappointed!

    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BB&B. I have the same story as most everyone else here. I wish I would have seen this sooner. I ordered 4 Barstools. 3 of the 4 were defective/damaged. They only sent 2 replacements (not sure what happened to the 3rd). Those 2 were also defective/damaged. Communication is impossible. Same wait times of over an hour or two if you can even get through. I have returned all of the barstools & proof of tracking showed they have received & they are still not refunding, stating they have a process? I am shocked at the absolute lack of customer service, communication etc. I will never do business with them again. This process has been a nightmare. Not to mention the lack of quality of the product itself. Anyone packing the barstools would clearly see they were defective /damaged, why even send it out?

    If I could rate Bed Bath & Beyond with negative stars, I would! I used to shop in the actual store all the time and they had the best customer service. Then they sadly went out of business. I hadn’t ordered anything online until recently. I needed some light fixtures so thought I’d give my old fave store a try. Boy, did I make a mistake. They have the WORST customer service. When you call the 1-800 number, it routes you to the Philippines. But first you have to wait about 40 minutes to get a live person. The people read scripts and don’t actually help answer questions. When I asked for a manager, they just kept putting me on hold for an hour. I got fed up and called the next day and the same exact thing happened. There goes 2.5 hours of my life. And their return policy is horrible. I will NEVER order anything from here again. They will likely go into bankruptcy again. Someone needs to tell the CEO to straighten this company out!!!

    I was searching for a metal bed. I found the one I like on your Website. It was listed on sale for 691.30 item 18545429. I was then offered a 20% discount if I provided my email address and agreed to receive promotional emails. I did this and then down loaded app. I selected apply discount. It then said discount does not apply to already discounted items. When I was offered the discount it did not list any restrictions. All it said was provide email address and receive 20% discount on your order. It was offered while I was looking at the above item. I provided my email address but the was told it does not apply. Why would your company offer the discount and after I provide required info as requested then tell me it does not apply when i try to use it? I feel like I was misled and taken advantage of. Please try to explain to me what you think. If you were me and this happened to would you also be upset. Please reply.

    I have been trying to return an item for 2 weeks. I joined the rewards program because the cost to return the item was going to be $101! I was told that by joining the rewards program, I could return it at no cost. Because they wouldn't budge on the return cost, I joined, but it says it is still in the warehouse. This should have been a virtual transaction. I cannot reach anyone and am beyond frustrated. I will never order from them again.

    I bought a Christmas tree from BBB. The tree was nothing like it was described. The size wasn't even accurate. So I decided to return it and I have to pay $30.00 for the shipping label. They don't give an accurate description but yet I have to pay 30 dollars to return it? I will never buy anything again from your website. Since you are an online company now, your descriptions should be extremely accurate. This was a $30 lesson that I will NOT repeat.

    Don't buy from them. I received a sectional sofa. It was smaller than it appeared in the pictures however the main problem is the quality. My spouse was leaning back on the sofa watching TV when the backrest gave way. I called them, chatted online and called them. A man answered the phone after repeated attempts to contact someone and then he gave me a phone number that was invalid. I guess I've lost over a thousand dollars. Should have read the ratings and reviews. I chatted that I need a repair man and they said they'd get back to me but didn't.

    I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing online from Bed Bath & Beyond (now managed by Overstock) and their partner seller, Deconovo. I used to trust this store before they shut down, but the “new” version is nothing like the old one. If you're thinking of buying from them online, especially anything handled by a third-party seller—DON’T. The return process is almost impossible unless you’re willing to spend extra money and jump through endless hoops.

    Here’s what happened: You can’t simply return the item on the Bed Bath & Beyond/Overstock website. You have to apply for a return, and then you get a message telling you to contact the partner seller directly. Deconovo’s response was unbelievable. They told me that if the curtain doesn’t fit my window, that’s my problem—not theirs. No complimentary return. No option to drop it off at a store because there is no physical store. You have to PAY for your own return shipping. This alone is bad, but it doesn’t end there. They make the return process a job. After paying for shipping, I had to take a photo of the receipt and email it back to them. Then they wanted me to list how many items I’m returning—obviously the entire purchase, but apparently they need you to spell that out.

    Overall, the whole experience was exhausting, unprofessional, and completely customer-unfriendly. What used to be a decent store has become a frustrating, expensive mess due to terrible return policies and lack of accountability from their partner sellers. Save yourself the headache. DO NOT buy online from the new Bed Bath & Beyond or anything fulfilled by Deconovo.

    Horrible return policy! I ordered a coffee table for $300. I read the return policy stating that the item was returnable but I had to pay for delivery. I figured delivery fee would not cost that much. The product arrived and it was poor quality. I tried to return it but the company was charging $120 for delivery fee! $120 is almost half the price of the cost of the coffee table. This was shocking to so I called customer service. They put me on a 1 hour hold. After which I was told they could do nothing for me. Customer service was horrible! I had to argue with them for another 40 minutes just to get them to lower their delivery fees. They would not budge! I had to pay the ridiculous delivery fee just to return their horrible product! I highly advise folks not to do business with this company. They are crooks.

    Once I received the sofa, I waited 72 hours for it to take shape. I've sent at least five emails since then, stating that the sofa comes in three parts, and the middle part is a different color. Furthermore, it has NEVER taken the correct shape; it's wrinkled and uneven. Finally, they're telling me to return it and pay the shipping fee because they're treating it as a case of buyer's remorse. I'm not sorry; the sofa is defective, which is why I'm requesting a return and a full refund. I find this absurd and a completely misguided response, as they're trying to blame me when the sofa is clearly defective.

    Zero stars if it were possible!! I ordered Deconovo "thermal, insulated" curtains to augment 2 pairs already on a huge window (purchased somewhere else). In my opinion they were neither thermal nor insulated. On a sunny day they were warm to the touch on the room side whereas the other pairs were not. Wait time to speak to someone at BBB is around or over an hour, so you can wait or chat. I chatted multiple times but they "could not" help as it was a Marketplace seller. I called Deconovo and they would not discuss my issue as they were sold via Overstock. They were borderline rude. Overstock will only communicate via email. I had the option of keeping them for a 50% refund or returning them at my expense for a "full refund including taxes and shipping".

    I returned them. I paid $39.38 (on PayPal), or $39.99 per BBB website and was refunded $32.39 because they apparently deducted a $7.60 "promotional savings" from my refund or did not refund the $6.99 shipping as promised. (Depends on which price you use). And they refuse to provide and explanation. BBB says it's out of their hands and Overstock says the "platform" determines the refund. Overstock insists it gave me a 100% refund. I can't figure out exactly what is going on but i did not get the 100% refund.

    Order # ** - Worst retail experience ever! I ordered outdoor furniture online in the amount of $1685.04. I was home when it arrived, but the delivery people made no effort to contact me personally. No one knocked on my door or rang the doorbell. They left these big beaten, gouged, ripped and falling apart boxes leaning up against the wall next to my garage. I was NOT afforded the freedom of accepting or refusing the delivery. With something that expensive, you expect it to be mandatory. I absolutely would have refused the delivery based on the condition!

    I moved the boxes into my garage which remain unopened because I am afraid of what kind of damage will fall out. I contacted customer service. They asked me to send photos of the damaged boxes which I promptly did. Their reply was "since you filed a claim, you need to go through Extend to resolve." I did not file a claim and if a claim was filed on my behalf, it was done so fraudulently. Then they tried to backtrack and said well you need to file a claim through Extend because you have shipping protection under the warranty you bought. Hmmm, I never saw anything about shipping protection when I bought the warranty.

    I bought it in case of future issues with the furniture. I was told Extend would either provide a replacement or give me a gift card for part of full of what I paid. By that time, I was not happy about the way any of this has been handled. I didn't pay "Extend" $1685.04 for outdoor furniture. I paid that money in good faith to Bed Bath & Beyond. The warranty cost to Extend is $31.80. I emailed customer service stating those facts and requested they come pick up their beat-up boxes at their expense because I wasn't given the option to accept or decline delivery and I want a full refund of what I paid. This has been going on since September 2025 and they keep coming back with email insisting I file a claim and take a gift card.

    When I asked what kind of gift card, I was told it would be for Bed Bath & Beyond. Not a Visa so I could choose where to spend my own money. Oh no, they are holding my money hostage to this day. This is the most unethical business model ever. It's underhanded, unscrupulous and downright shady. I will not be forced by this company to another penny there! I have documented all correspondence.

    I ordered a platform bed that was described as a full/queen. I thought it would accommodate either. When receiving it on the box it said full. I needed to put a queen mattress on it so shucks that won't work. I initiated a return online and hauled the thing unopened to the UPS store. They charged me almost as much as the purchase for shipping. Which like the description was not clear when I initiated the return.     Bed Bath & Beyond just sets you up for failure! I tried to return an item, but since their call wait times are 45-60 minutes I decided to email them (they have 3 days to respond). Since the shipping costs was half of the purchase price to send it back, they said I could sign up for Rewards program and return for free. I asked how to do that in the email. They NEVER responded. I finally signed up for it online on my account. I could not see my order on the account so I had to call anyway and wait for 50 minutes to talk to a rep.

    The rep informed me since I didn't order the item under my account then it couldn't be used. He couldn't cancel the $25 membership as it was non-refundable, nor could he transfer it to the account I ordered it under. There was no supervisor available to speak to (of course there wasn't). Then the rep announced I was too late to return it now anyway. So I spent that $25 Rewards charge for nothing (especially since I will never order from them again anyway after this experience). I also spent hours of my time trying to get all this figured out. I am surprised they are still in business now that I see all of the other complaints.

    B, B and Beyond sucks so much! It turns out that they don't have stores anymore (not since 2023) and won't accept returns except in rare circumstances. They send us a mattress filled with toxic fiberglass. Trying to get a hold of customer support to return it, they disconnected us 3 times, each time making us wait again for an hour to get a new rep on the line. And still no resolution! Supposedly, we should get an email next week - I very much doubt so. They are still riding on people like me that thought that they have stores to return things to. Use any vendor except them!

    Bed Bath and Beyond don’t give a shit about their clients once an order leaves their warehouse. Their customer service is non-existent. A little less than a year ago I bought a queen size bed from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Recently, one of the flimsy 1” x 1” x 1 ft pieces of wood, that support the weight of both the mattress and the sleeper, split and needs replacing. Rather than use more expensive hardwood to support this important weight bearing spot, the 1’ x1” was made from cheap soft wood that split under the weight. Bed, Bath and Beyond don’t really want to hear from their customers. There is no easy way to contact them and I had to rummage around their web site for a while before finding their 800. Number.

    Alas, I have been listening now for over an hour to a recorded message lying to me, over and over again, how important my phone call is. Bed, Bath & Beyond does not care if their customers are dissatisfied with the shitty wares that have been foisted on them. My big mistake was not to check the companies reviews before the purchase. My bad. The company has a reputation for shitty quality of their products as well as for their non-existent customer service. 89% of Consumer Affairs reviews and 90% of Trustpilot reviews are from dissatisfied customers. Please don’t make my mistake – go shop somewhere else.

The app must have defaulted to old address. The solution was to reach out to new owners or old neighbors. The problem with this is items are heavy and no truck, which is why we had it delivered. So we are now out of money and products. The neighbors tried to reach the new neighbors and have had no luck. There must be a better solution!     WARNING - scam being perpetrated by Bed Bath and Beyond. They will steal your money. Deceptive, misleading, fraudulent practices. I was in my shopping cart, tried going back instead of checking out when it submitted my offer without me submitting it. I tried calling them and was on hold for over an hour and a half only to get a recording that they could not take my call and I would have to call back the following day. Then was told I had to pay $102.12 on a $105.03 item. Meaning the refund would be $2.91. One representative said I would not get a refund only a store credit. Later when I spoke with someone else he said I would get a refund to my original payment method. Again they would put back $2.91 of the $105.03. It is an absolute disgrace that they think they and have been getting away with this fraud.

    Horrible customer service. I simply ordered a table cloth and 2 throw pillows, the pillows got cancelled - out of stock. I ordered 2 replacements and this order got cancelled - out of stock. I tried to call to cancel the tablecloth, 39 minute wait time. I used the chat option and was told it was shipped and I would have to pay to return due to "buyers remorse".     I recently purchased an item from Bed Bath & Beyond. The color was not what it appeared to be in their site. I started the return process and found if I didn't return with their $23 return label. The item would basically be a total loss to their return dept. Keep in mind the label I had to "buy" from them appears as any other UPS label would. This means I'm only getting about half of a refund because of this. I will never look or buy anything else from them. It's no wonder they went out of business the first time. I will make sure everyone I know also understands their return policy and not recommended.

Their so-called customer service line is a blatant marketing stall with no real person answering.     Absolutely terrible experience with Bed Bath & Beyond’s customer service. I used their online chat and was bounced between three different agents, each one making me reverify my information and repeat the same story over and over again. I ordered a solid wood bookcase with glass doors, which arrived in two boxes — one for the bookcase and one for the doors. Simple enough, right? Except the doors they sent were wood, not glass like I ordered.

    You’d think it would be an easy fix to just swap out the wrong doors for the right ones, but apparently that’s too logical for this company. After nearly an hour of arguing with customer support, I was told my only options were to return everything — both boxes — for either a refund or a replacement. Why on earth should I have to ship back an entire bookcase that’s perfectly fine just because they messed up the doors? That’s a massive waste of time, effort, shipping resources, and fuel — all for something that could easily be resolved by sending the correct doors.

    Now I’ve got two giant boxes cluttering my office while they “escalate” the issue to figure out if the right doors can even be sent from the supplier. If not, they still expect me to return everything and start over. Completely ridiculous. It’s no surprise this company went bankrupt — this kind of incompetence and lack of common sense is exactly why.

    I highly would not recommend Bed Bath and Beyond. I ordered a dining room table that ended up to not be the same measurement that was online. It came and it was way too small apparently so I contacted customer service which I waited on hold for 55 minutes for a lady to tell me that the charge for printing a label to send back the table was $61 that would come off of my credit and then knowing that this table in the box was over 75 pounds. I’m a petite woman. I asked her how I was supposed to get it back to UPS. If I wanted to have UPS come and get it she said that would cost me $98. What a scam. So they charged me for the table and then they’re going to keep my part of my credit return for a shipping label to send the product back because it’s not to my satisfaction. How does that make any sense? I would not recommend this company.

    I bought a TV stand from Bed Bath & Beyond, and it turned out to be the biggest headache I’ve had with any store. When we carefully assembled it, the doors didn’t line up at all — not even close. We spent over an hour trying every possible adjustment, and nothing worked. Then came the nightmare with their “customer service.” I waited exactly 1 hour just to get someone on the phone, and then spent 2 more hours being transferred around and fed complete nonsense. By the end, I was in tears.

    This all happened on a Saturday morning — precious time I should’ve spent with my little daughter — instead, I wasted it arguing with a company that clearly doesn’t care about its customers. First, they told me to disassemble the entire TV stand, put it back in its original box, and return it. I explained that wasn’t possible for me: my husband is out of state for a month, and I have a baby at home. Their response? Basically “too bad.” Then they said someone would come pick it up in 3–5 business days, but they had no idea what day or time. I asked, “What if no one is home?” and the answer was essentially, “Oh well.” I offered to drop it off myself if I could get help moving it. They agreed — and then gave me a drop-off address in Idaho. I live in Texas. Three hours on the phone, my baby crying in the background, and they tell me to drive to Idaho?! It was so absurd I thought it was a joke.

    To top it off, they insisted that I had to rewrap and box it “properly” for pickup. For their defective product. This company has completely fallen apart. Their products are poor quality, their customer service is cruel and disorganized, and they clearly have zero respect for their customers’ time or sanity. I’ll never buy from them again, and I highly recommend everyone else stay far away.

When I went to return I was told I had to pay a separate return fee for each item even though they were on the same order and shipped altogether. It was going to cost me over $65 to return the order.     The worst experience I have had in 41 years on Earth. The couch that I ordered online as pictured, delivered completely opposite of what was pictured. I even called ahead of time to avoid a problem such as this. The person I spoke with assured me the couch would deliver as pictured. As you can see by the pictures of the boxes that arrived, it was the exact opposite. I called immediately after receiving the couch and was on hold for close to 2 hours. They then told me they would reach out to the supplier and would be in touch within 3-4 business days. I reached out on the 3rd day and kept getting hung up on during my live chats and then had my husband call who was on hold for over an hour. After an hour they said they had no info except that the couch is not made as pictured and that they would be in touch.

    After waiting for a solution for 8 days they responded to my BBB review to let me know they would refund the couch and have it picked up. This experience was a nightmare and I’m still angry about it. This business should not be open and I do not want to see others waste several hours of time, energy and pain like I did. I have herniated discs in my back and had to wrestle this sectional couch that came in 4 boxes several times. Getting the couch pieces out of the box, then into the box, then onto a trailer to bring to UPS as I didn’t want to leave the couch outside to be damaged since they said I wouldn’t be able to schedule an exact time for a pickup with UPS. I can barely function now. I’m in so much pain! So so so angry!!!!

I made the mistake of going with a Paul's home fashions instead of Bed Bath & Beyond and it was regrettable. The people called me, sent me duplicate orders and raised hell with me as if I had something to do with it and even blessed me out on the phone calling me and harassing me even after I told them I would mail the blanket that was being mailed to me back and showed him pictures that I already had the pillows in the blanket from an order 3 weeks prior. Just go with bed and bath and forget these small businesses. They don't do you right and they're under no obligation to.

    I ordered a pool table from BB&B which was supposed to be delivered in 10 days. It took 11 and the 400 lb slate tops were missing. Neither of the two shippers knew where they were... Then we assembled it and found one of the short frames was missing holes so it couldn't be put together... And although their website says it's "Made in America," when you click on the site it's all Chinese characters! We've contacted both shippers who say they don't have the missing items, and BB&B has no customer service. The woman I talked to (Cora G) last week promised an answer by Monday and then disappeared.     I purchased a recliner to have after a planned surgery, product was delivered on time and the installer showed as planned. The quality was just ok but I knew I had paid an inexpensive price, so was not expecting more than I received. What I did not expect was the fabric starting to pill and fall apart after 6 weeks. After waiting on hold for a "live" representative for 53 minutes yesterday and a very long conversation with many can I put you on hold moments, I was informed that I was past the 30-day warranty period. 30 days and my $600 chair was no longer their issue? Bottom line, BBB is not what it used to be and I will never use them again and no one should. The world was better off after they went bust, should have just gone into the night instead of ruining what was a good memory of a great store. I requested to speak to a manager but no one followed up and I do not expect them to. So bottom line, the chair lasted less than 2 months.

    Bought a sofa.. went on clearance! Clear down to $250 ! Being a long time widow , on a fixed income & moving into a new place I was ecstatic! I received package in a box, I was confused as I had to do a lot to be home all day to receive sofa! It was a very expensive kitchen sink, long story short , sofa now out of stock. I begged theme to find a comparable sofa I could purchase, and they said no. Return my $ only when they have their sink back. So sad & bummed.     Do yourself a favor and never buy anything from Bed Bath & Beyond. The item descriptions are incorrect and the color descriptions are terrible. The return policy is even worse. You can buy the same items from Ross, calls, and Marshalls for 20% of the online prices listed from bed Bath & beyond. No reason to waste your money here. I will post pictures of what was billed as an aqua or blue quilt and pillow set. You decide for yourself if the color is an accurate description.

    You should avoid buying from this company at all costs. Customer service is an 80 minute wait. I ordered a patio furniture set that arrived damaged. It took over a week to get a hold of customer service to arrange the damaged items to be picked up and replacements sent. The replacements that were sent and arrived a month later were only partially delivered. Another 80 minute wait on hold to cancel the order. 1.5 months and so much wasted time.     I had a terrible experience with Bad Bath & Beyond. In short, I was sold a defective product and they refused to give me a refund. Details: 1. I ordered a beach towel that started unravelling after only a few washes. 2. I contact their customer support through chat at first. The chat was very low quality and disconnected more than once. 3. I was told on the chat that because I was past the 30-day return window, I could not get a refund. 4. I thought this was unacceptable because I only discovered the product was defective just outside of the 30-day window, so I later called. 5. I spent almost an hour waiting to be connected to an agent. 6. After the agent reviewed my case and spoke to a couple other people, she eventually reiterated that they could not refund me.

    I've attached a couple photos where it's been unraveling. There are several there places on the towel. I will not be shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond anymore because I feel like I've been stolen from.

    I am very disappointed in bedbathandbeyond.com. I do not recommend online ordering from them. Last year I ordered a ceiling fan from them. This year I ordered the exact same fan, but it was a totally different color. They said because the one was from last year, they would not fix the problem.     Within a few days of ordering bedding, the items went on sale. Before I received them I contacted them for a refund for new difference in price and was denied! I was told it was not their policy but when I looked up their policy it was in fact to honor the new price change. See attached 4th photo of this, and then I was told that is not their policy!

    I want to Return all 4 items and had to chose 2 different shipping labels to exact same warehouse, see attached photo, and reached out to advise I would only need to use one label bc the label for 18 lbs going to the EXACT same place would be sufficient for all my items and it would save me around $20 in shipping! I was disconnected via text— have you ever heard of anything so ludicrous, “getting disconnected from a text” and had to start again with a new live agent. I got the run around and the explanation these are different line items going to 2 different warehouses.

    Please look at attached photo the shipping labels are going to the same place and I provided the same photo to the live agent with ridiculous, non truthful texts and bottom line, after asking for a supervisor and not getting one, she ended the text the same way the earlier live agent had (3rd photo). If you opt to ship on your own, they have option to charge you for any inconvenience of searching for the return if needed and it may end up that you get no refund at all using your own shipping labels. SCAM SCAM SCAM! They have it designed that they are taking your money one way or another!

    I ordered a kings size bed, received it with no problems. Now here the big problem is I ordered a king size bedhead and frame to be delivered and I paid $71.68 to a third party call Angi to assembly the bedhead and frame once arrived. September 5 at 9:30 am delivered by UPS about 150lb long box with to rip on box. 1 item. Now something told me to go on line and check this delivery. I call UPS and Bed Bath and beyond. The both of them said yes you got your item it only comes in one box 📦 that it. I said ok. Now when I went on bed Bath and beyond app and look at the item I paid for and check the description of it. It said I will receive to different packages for this item because it is big.

    Now I call back bed Bath and beyond. On hold for and hour and a half very poor. I explained to the representative about the problem she then said hold on I will check. When she came back she said you are right. She apologies for the inconvenience and said the product is out of stock. So the one item I have has to be returned. I told her I don't have a truck or pickup or anyone to help me. Then she said put it back in lobby where it came and we will make a note of it and let UPS no it has to be pickup for returned. I'm soooooo angry mad 😠 😡 because I don't have a bed to sleep on and I have to wait 5 to 10 business days to get my money back.

    This is the first time I ever ordered anything from Bed Bath and beyond. I made a big mistake. I will never ever buy anything from that company. Customer service is trouble waiting for hours and hours. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you are looking for problems and don't mind staying on the phone line forever and not getting your packages.     Customer service is horrible. My order never made it to me as UPS reported it damaged and returned it to Beyond. I have not received any correspondence from them. Emails to assorted CS email addresses are returned undeliverable. Their AI bot Abby gives me no relevant information. It did say CS would contact me which never transpired. I’m on the phone right now trying to talk to a human. The wait time is 56 mins. If this call doesn’t go through I will stop payment on the charge to my credit card.

    I ordered a rug. The rug was extremely poor quality. I called to speak to customer service. I waited 1 hour and 41 minutes for someone to answer only to tell me it the shipping label to return was $40!!! The rug probably isn't even worth $40. Customer Service rep tries to convince me to buy some plan for $19.95 that allows free returns, but what she didn't tell me is that i would only get a store credit not a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor with which one was of course was not available. They did end up calling me back but did absolutely nothing for the poor quality rug, exorbitant return shipping label, poor and deceitful customer service.     I purchased a medicine cabinet that the website description said could be recessed mounted, this was false. It could not be that way and included instructions only gave surface mount details.     I have not had anything to do with them since trying to get a part for a broken lamp they sent me. Issue was never resolved. I decided to no longer do business with them and had not shopped with them since October 2024. Today I discovered they auto renewed a subscription and charged my bank $20. I did not ask for it. They did not notify me. They did not text me, they did not email me, they did not in any way contact me, as I had not talked to them since October of 2024.     The merchandise is generally from Vietnam and very poorly made. The products are not wood but sawdust pressed into wooden form. Packing is always broken. Items are cheaply made and arrive damaged. Just try and reach their customer service. 9:02 am they opened a moment ago and it’s 80 minutes to get a representative from some foreign country who thinks being annoyingly pleasant but not helpful is the way to go. Their reps English is awful. The system will hang up on you. Never buy from Bed Bath & Beyond or Overstock unless you want junk and frustration. The furniture looks good in pictures from AI.

    Madesa 6 Doors 6 Drawers Wardrobe With Hanging Space 94"L. I wish I could do negative stars. I was so excited for this product when I got it, it was damaged. It came in multiple boxes and after putting one of them together I noticed I was missing an entire box!!!! Getting ahold of anyone to help with getting the rest of this product has been a nightmare to say the least. I've call messaged and emailed and have not been able to get ahold of anyone.

    I ordered three sets of outdoor cushions for lawn furniture. They came in two different shipments and I needed to return them because they turned out to be the wrong color. The total order total $240 dollars and they were gonna charge me $50 for return of the first two items…not for sure about the last one that came I didn’t even bother to check. Bottom line… don’t order anything from Bed and Bath that is large! Most likely you can find it at Amazon or many other places.     I cancelled an order within minutes of making it. The date it would arrive was changed after I checked out and the new arrival date would be too late. I tried to call customer service right away, but no answer after over twenty minutes and no option to leave a call back request. The wait time was supposed to be over 126 minutes! They sent an email a day later saying they couldn’t cancel it, but that I would be able to return it at no cost to me.

    Item arrived and I initiated the return process on their website. They said it would be a free no charge to me shipping return. The website stated it could take 2-3 business days for my label to arrive via email. I tried again to call customer service the 4th and 5th business day and was told the wait was over 126 minutes, apparently that’s just a recording and you don’t have an option to leave a call back request.

    So a full 7 days later, 5 full business days later I still had not received a label or any further communication. So I called customer service. I was told there was a 3 minute wait time, after 20 minutes they gave me the option to get a call back when it was my turn. I left my information. After 30 minutes I tied the call line again. This time I was on hold for over 15 minutes and again I left a call back request.

    The website says returns must be received within 30 days and I was realizing these people are not helping me at all. So I contacted my payment source and opened a complaint. About an hour later the customer service from Bed Bath & Beyond called and I explained the situation. She said they would send me a return label at a cost of over $30 I explained I had a screen shot of the free return promise from the website. She refused to send a prepaid shipping label and also would not provide me the address to ship it back unless I agreed to pay the shipping. I refused told her I’d opened a case with my payment provider and hung up. About a half hour later a different Bed Bath & Beyond service rep called and did provide a return address but also refused to honor the fee return shipping I was promised. This representative did provide ten address that I could return the item to.

    This has now been 8 days of dealing with this issue. Meanwhile they have my payment of over $317. dollars and have wasted over 3 hours of my time on hold and dealing with customer service representatives that clearly don’t care. I’m sure I’ll be spending more hours talking to people and driving to return this item. I wish I’d heeded the previous reviews of people who said that Bed Bath & Beyond are horrible to deal with. I’m sharing my story so you don’t get taken advantage of like I have.

    I will absolutely never buy anything from Bed Bath & Beyond again. With customer service like this it’s no surprise that they closed all their stores and went online retailing only, easy to scam people out of their money if them people can’t talk to a real human or walk into the store for assistance. As I promised their reps on the phone I will post negative reviews and tell all my friends and family about this issue.

    I ordered a Madison Park comforter on Friday the 8th of August. I was told that I would receive it on the 14th then I received a delay message and after that a week later, they try to deliver it and was unavailable because they didn’t know the gate code. I was on hold for two hours and 22 minutes to speak to one someone only to find out, they shipped it to a UPS store where you have to then go pick it up. This is a 15 pound comforter. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. This is my second time calling and still nothing was resolved. I will no longer be a customer at Bed Bath and Beyond. They informed me the first phone call that would be escalated only to have sent it to a CVS location.

    I ordered a lamp online that would not be available for several weeks. I found another lamp at a brick and mortar store so I used the BB&B online process to request a cancellation. The next day I received an email confirmation that the order had been cancelled. Great! Or so I thought. Five days later I received an email that my order had reached the warehouse and was being prepared for shipment. I called CS and a recording thanked me for my call and informed me that my wait time was 204 minutes! I tried calling again on successive days and the wait was never less than 140 minutes. I gave up.     This company has by far the worse customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered a product, paid almost 400.00 to BB&B. Product was damaged. After waiting on hold more than an hour 15 mins, I was told they would send a carrier out to pick the product up. That was 5 days ago... CRICKETS. After several attempts via app, I again had to call and wait another hour for a representative. This rep tells me that the original pickup had been cancelled by UPS and she would put through another request. I "Should" hear something within 5 days, gave me a tracking number this time and now I wait. ONCE they ever receive the product in the warehouse, they will process a refund which I get to wait another 3-5 days to receive. So more than 10 days to be refunded for a damaged product.

    I had reordered and paid AGAIN and now BB&B has more than 500.00 of my money and I have a damaged product sitting in my garage waiting for pickup. Several hours spent and needing to take a day off to be here for UPS (if they ever show). Nope... not the kind of company I will ever do business with again. Went with them rather than a competitor because of their return policy with free return shipping. Now I see why it is free. Lesson learned.

    I responded to a posting on Google for a 33" ceiling fixture by this company advertised for $60. It was what I was looking for so I hit add to cart. What I missed was the very small print "item details" in which the company substituted a different fixture that was totally different. When it arrived I contacted the company and was informed that I got what I ordered and a return label would be $26. or about 40% of the cost of the item. I objected and after 2 months of stalling and and contacting BBB, they refunded my money after I paid to return the item. I should have looked at reviews which said slow to refund, poor communication about returns, etc. You may have a good experience, but be aware of the deceptions.

    My wife and I saved up our money and bought a 14X20 metal gazebo. It cost us $4000! We began to set it up and noticed a few small dents in the legs. We weren’t happy but we carried on and we were willing to forget about it. We finally opened up the last two boxes which contained the roofing panels.     Horrible customer service! I was delivered a dresser that is flimsy and cheaply made and the drawers squeak. The drawer handles don't even match the handles in the photos. They are ugly handles. I sent pictures of all the flaws to customer service, and I requested a return and refund. I was told I would need to disassemble this dresser and return it in a box. Well, I had to pay a large fee already for Angi's list to put this together and I would have to pay double for them to take it apart. I unfortunately do not know how to take this thing apart and where to get a very large box from, as the box it came in was delivered opened and torn.

    I am very unhappy with Bed Bath and Beyond customer service. They should have sent someone to just take this cheap dresser out of here. I will never order from this company again. They would not work with me at all, and just kept telling me I had to take it apart and I had 2 - 5 days to do so, and have it sealed in a box. Well, right after I got the email message to take it apart, less than a day later, UPS shows up to pick it up. I wasn't even given 2 days, as the email stated. There was no way I could have taken this apart by myself and have found a box suitable for all those pieces. This is a very large dresser.

    I cannot believe how bad this place is. I don't want this dresser and now I can't even get a better one because they will not pick up as is and they will not refund me. I paid over 400 for this flimsy dresser. I can't even sell it to get my money back! I will have to say this company is the worst and do not order from them if you order large furniture and have issues with it after it is put together. It is junk! They won't work with you at all. I purchased a vanity with lighting built into the mirror March 21st, the light stopped working early summer which my daughter did not tell me, but I contacted customer service July 12th 3.5 months after my purchase of a 300$ vanity, they are absolutely no help.     I have had some bad experiences with companies while shopping online or in stores; however, my latest experience with Bed &... tops them all. I ordered a "genuine leather dual motor lift recliner. black", according to the description and the photo. I received something that looks like vinyl and was not a true black. It also puckered as soon as it was sat on. The item number is **. Please, do not order, if you think you are ordering a genuine leather chair. Unfortunately, I was unable go upload a photo. I advised customer service that the chair is not the genuine leather chair that I ordered. I was told that in order to accept a return of the chair, they would have to have pictures. This meant that I had to pay someone to unbox and assemble the chair as well as use my cell phone to take and send pictures which I have never done.

    I am a retired senior who chooses not to be bothered with technology. Nonetheless, I stressed and pressed on and sent the pictures. Bed & ... response was that the recliner was correct but I would be charged for postage. So, I would need to pay someone to disassemble the chair. I did not have space for the two large boxes and they were discarded. Finally, I do not think that this chair that is shown on website exists because I ordered it twice from Home Depot based on the picture and the description. Home Depot made it easy for me to return and acknowledged that they were not the correct chairs. The first was not genuine leather and not black, second was not genuine leather but black.     This is another store where customer service is outsourced, and they pick American names to sound like they're in this country. You cannot understand them, and they follow a script with NO friendliness or problem-solving skills. They lost not one but TWO sofas on me within a 2 weeks' time period because "Rory" in customer service accidently cancelled the first order due to lack of training. He then reordered it takes upwards of 2-3 hours. Don't be fooled by the coupons. It's not worth the hassle to get 20% off. after realizing his mistake...and then accidently cancelled that one too!     Unreliable- Do not order from here! I placed an order for '6-Piece Outdoor Wicker Sectional Sofa Set with Cushions Option'. I placed the order on a Wednesday with the expected delivery date to be that Friday (as I needed it for an event the following week- If the date was much later I wouldn't have ordered it). Friday came and went and the package never got delivered. I never got notified of any delays, but when I went to my account the order status said 'delayed, awaiting tracking update'. At that time I called customer service and representative told me 'oh no there is a 5 day shipping Window. That date you saw wasn't accurate' - So basically Bed Bath and Beyond lied on their expected date to get people to order their products.

    I told the representative to cancel my product as it's clearly not coming and she put in the request (she said if the package did show up and she is unable to cancel, at that time I personally would have to bring it back to UPS). Saturday comes - 2 of the 3 packages showed up. At this time I checked the Bed Bath Beyond website that STILL says the package is delayed - So I called customer service again and said, "Where is the third box as I'm missing pieces now?" - They had no clue and had to contact the warehouse.

    I worked backwards and went off the reference # on the physical box I received and according to UPS website, UPS never received that packaged for shipment yet. Overall, I will never order from them again as they are unreliable and their customer service to assist is useless - It may cost a little more $, but order from Wayfair and avoid this store.     I ordered a vanity that was specifically listed as made in Malaysia, and as a result was quite a bit more expensive than the junk from China, but I decided it was worth paying more to get a better quality item not from China. When it arrived, the boxes all had made in China stamped on them, and they were just a low quality of junk as I was trying to avoid. There were even several broken pieces in the box. I would go as far as to say that the price and mislabeled country of origin was intentional to raise the price of a junk item. I would not recommend trusting this company with any furniture purchases.

    Omg the worst experience dealing with a company I have ever had! Bought 2 recliners, 1 super happy with. The other had a slit in the leather. Shipping protection purchased as well. Initially clicked on return item but wasn't sure it submitted (no email). Called customer service and during the conversation, was told we could receive a refund for $67. Because the box was also damaged in exact same place -note: we were very careful opening the box and were scared to put it back in the box, we decided to go with the refund.

    I am absolutely appalled by the way Bed Bath & Beyond is handling their so-called “Premium Membership.” They charged my account for a renewal and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, they flat-out refuse to remove the charge. This is a classic case of predatory auto-renewal—burying the renewal terms in fine print and hoping customers don’t notice.

    When I contacted customer service, I was met with robotic responses and zero accountability. No empathy, no flexibility, just scripted lines and an unwillingness to do what’s right. Bed Bath & Beyond used to be a reputable store. Now, they’re just another company exploiting loyal customers with shady billing practices. If this is how they treat people who have spent money with them for years, I can’t imagine how they’ll survive in today’s retail environment. Avoid them at all costs.     I purchased sealing bags which were supposed to be the equivalent to Food Saver bags. What I got was bags that look like zip lock and unusable. I went back and forth between BBB and the manufacturer, both pointing fingers at each other for over a month. When I started threatening with Deceptive Trades and Practices my account was credited.     I received a bedroom set where two of the items were damaged in transit and could not be used. After waiting nearly a month for them to replace two of the damaged pieces (dresser and nightstand), they informed me that they were no longer in stock. They offered me a very minor discount, which I declined because the pieces were unusable. I requested a return authorization for the entire set. It took them nearly a month to get me the authorization and another 3 weeks to pick up the items. I am still waiting for my refund, despite their promise that it would be posted within a few days. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service and the way this whole situation was handled. This has required so much work on my part, and I will never order from them again. It's a shame because I have ordered from them in the past without any issues, but this one was a complete catastrophe.

    Unless you are ordering a small item, I would be very wary about placing any order with them. I was able to find the exact set on Wayfair, whose customer service far exceeds Bed Bath & Beyond. The items arrived in perfect condition with no issues. I will continue working on obtaining my refund, but this is truly unacceptable. I do NOT recommend buying furniture from Bed Bath & Beyond.

    I am extremely disappointed with this company's return policy. If you want to return an item, you're forced to use their prepaid shipping label — and it's outrageously overpriced. I even gave them attitude because their site was pure garbage and wouldn’t issue a return label. Know what I got in return? NOTHING. No refund.     I guess I should have read the reviews first and would not be here complaining. I have never in my life dealt with a company like this. They are stealing and getting away with it every day. I thought there were agencies out there to keep an eye out when a rogue company acts like this. I know the Better Business Bureau has been informed but doesn’t seem to have made a difference. Shame on you BBB. Hopefully some day in the future you pay a hefty price.

    Very bad experience with purchasing from Bed Bath and Beyond. Ordered a quilt online and was very disappointed in the quality of it. Company requires I pay a return fee of almost half the cost of the product. Tried to discuss with customer service - 45 min wait time to speak to someone on phone so tried chat option. Staff refused to do anything about the very high return fee even though there are no longer any physical stores you can return to. Finally tried emailing customer care team. They also refused to lower the return fee and did nothing to help. Very bad experience.

    I purchased three pillows two of which were the same size. All three pillows same brand shipped to me in the same box. I was sent two separate return labels. Why when all three arrived in the same box. I asked customer service what would be my refund since they say you have to pay for your return shipping. I spent 61.00 dollars for the purchase of the pillows and my refund would be $13.00per customer service the shipping took all of my refund minus 13 dollars. You guys are thieves and should be shut down. The Bible says when the thief be caught he must return 7 times greater. This company will never prosper because they are thieves.     I have had problems with every item I have ordered from this company, with the exception of one. The quality has been terrible and the returns are very expensive, making it not worth it. I recently purchased a piece of "outdoor art," which was totally misrepresented. It the first 3 months, it warped, faded and became useless. It was not gallery wrapped, as it stated, nor was it waterproof. I am an artist myself and only purchased it because I didn't want to use the polyester protectant to make art survive outside. Don't buy from BB&B.

    I ordered two 5 x 7 rugs, paid $200. Received the items in good condition, but they did not fit the space in which I intended to use them so I initiated a return. It cost me $70 to return the items, which was outrageous, but I figured I'd at least get $130 back. No sense in keeping rugs that aren't useful and I'd learned my lesson with BBB returns. But then they just arbitrarily took away $40 from my refund - JUST BECAUSE. I ended up with a $90 refund and when contacted, they have no intention of returning that extra $40!! I had to fight the charge through my credit card company. How can they just decide to arbitrarily steal money from me? Ridiculous.

    If it could give them NO stars, I would! I ordered a comforter and pillow shams. The shams wouldn't even fit on my standard sized pillows! They were too small. Obviously shoddily made. I have been buying comforter sets for 50 years and I've never had a pillow sham that didn't fit the pillows! When I called and said that the item was defective and that I shouldn't have to pay return shipping fees, the woman in their customer service department stated that this didn't qualify as defective! It would have cost me $22 to ship it back via UPS but I went to the Post Office and only paid $18 but still a lot. I just tracked the package and they received it on May 28 and still haven't issued my refund. I will NEVER buy from them again. They are a fraudulent company now.

    Horrible. Just horrible. I bought a fountain for my back patio just to get it and was resin $146. For a light fountain the picture looks like cement. So I did not open the box. Called and canceled the same time I ordered. Got a rude guy on the phone. Would not cancel my order. He said he could not cancel a order that was just placed. I asked if I could refuse it. He said no. I was so mad because I did not want it. I waited and waited. The package arrived late. When it arrived I called for a return label. They told me I would not get 100% of my money back. They would charge me for the shipping. Then I get the label from the representative. Took it down to UPS gave them the label and package. Two weeks later it gets delivered back to my house while I was out of town. I am beyond furious! No wonder they filed bankruptcy. They rip people off. Lie to you. Scam you. Just like they did me.

    I ordered a patio set was supposed to be here on May 16. Did not come after guarantee 2-day shipping! Fast forward after calling customer service, waiting on hold forever, being disconnected, given the rehearsed apology, being told 4 different delivery dates.     Do not purchase anything from this store! They charge a ridiculous shipping fee if you need to return... For a quilt, they're charging me $26 for the label to ship it back. I called BBB because it was so outrageous but the CSR told me it's their return policy. I asked to speak a supervisor & she argued with me, then placed me on hold as she pretended to contact a supervisor and when she came back, told me that her supervisor said to read their return policy.     I’m scared! I should have checked reviews before my purchase! I purchased a chair from them, placed my order, then went onto the website and found the same chair on their website for $70 less! I called to cancel my order in order the less expensive one, but they told me that you have to cancel within one hour! Which is nonsense. I had not shipped and they said “I can return it, but it would cost $50”. I’m so afraid it’s a piece of junk!     Purchased a pool and it arrived on March 26. We don't put the pool up till May when it's the right weather. The pool is not Round like the picture. It is oval. It is way too small and not worth the price. I contact customer service and Sloane is not good at that!     This experience with Bed Bath & Beyond has been appalling and unacceptable. I ordered a modular sofa that was clearly advertised and pictured as orange. What arrived was unmistakably yellow – not a shade off, not lighting differences – a completely different color. I immediately notified customer support with photo evidence, expecting a professional remedy for what is plainly false advertising. Instead, I was told that my claim was considered "buyer’s remorse" – an insult, given the clear discrepancy between the product advertised and the product delivered. Despite this being their error, they issued return labels and then charged over $500 in return shipping fees – more than 75% of the original purchase price!

    This is an egregious abuse of customer trust. The product was misrepresented online, and now Bed Bath & Beyond is penalizing the customer for their own deception. I am demanding a full refund and calling on all appropriate consumer protection and regulatory agencies to investigate:

    Better Business Bureau (BBB)
    Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
    Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)

    State Attorney General’s Office (Consumer Protection Division)

    This was not a simple preference change – it was a clear-cut case of false advertising and deceptive business practices. Charging exorbitant shipping fees to correct their mistake is a textbook example of bad faith. If this issue is not resolved promptly with a FULL REFUND, I will escalate this matter publicly and legally, with full documentation and images showing the discrepancy. I strongly advise all potential customers to proceed with extreme caution. Bed Bath & Beyond has demonstrated they are willing to mislead customers and then penalize them for trying to resolve it. This is not just bad customer service – it’s a breach of consumer trust.

    Bought 2 kitchen items from the website since I used to love going into the B&M stores when they were around. Mistake. I returned one of the items (less than $20) and they wanted $25 for their pre-paid return label. Not doing that. So I followed their instructions, wrapped the package in its original delivery box, took it to UPS. UPS said their return address is wrong (big surprise). I instructed UPS to use the zip code they provided even though it didn't match the city they provided. Cost me $14 to send this tiny package back for a $20 item. Ridiculous. I have yet to see the refund, so I'm out $20+$14 for an item I don't have. I will NEVER order from them or Overstock again. NEVER.

    I wish I could rate this experience with zero stars. My item was supposed to be delivered on April 26, 2025, but that day came and went with no update or delivery. I then received a notification that it would be delivered on April 29. I stayed home all day waiting, but once again, it didn’t arrive. I called UPS, and they informed me that delivery would be between 12:45 PM and 2:45 PM on Tuesday. After work that evening, I returned home to find my porch gate left open and a note stuck to my door stating that a signature was required. I had called the day before, and this information was never communicated to me.

    That night, I called UPS again, and they offered to remove the signature requirement, but I hesitated to trust them. The representative asked what time would work best for me, and I suggested early morning or 7 PM the next day since I get off work at 6 PM and could sign for it then. I rushed home and waited on my balcony because I was worried about missing the driver. At about 9:30 PM, I called UPS again but was placed on hold, and the call was disconnected without a callback. I then contacted Bed Bath & Beyond to inform them about the situation. They called UPS on my behalf, had the signature requirement removed, and assured me that it would be delivered the following day to my balcony. The representative promised I would receive it and instructed me to respond to an email if it didn't arrive, so I replied the next morning because, once again, I had not received it.

    When I called again, the representative contacted UPS, and they assured me that it would be delivered. I even received a call from the UPS office manager asking if it was safe to leave the package on my balcony, to which I confirmed that my neighborhood is safe. She stated it would be delivered. Now it is May 2, 2025, at 10:09 AM, and I am still without my item. I called 30 minutes ago to express my frustration with the service, but the representative kept giving me the same information: the estimated delivery time is still today between 12:45 PM and 2:45 PM.

    What frustrates me is that a case was opened on April 30, so why wasn’t it escalated? Why did no one reach out to resolve this situation? It feels like my value as a customer, along with my business, means nothing to Bath & Beyond. I've asked to cancel my order and receive a refund because the excitement of getting these items has completely vanished. This entire process has triggered my anxiety, and no one seems to care. Why is it the customer’s responsibility to continually follow up for six days about an item that remains on the truck without being delivered? They say it should be delivered today, and if not, I should call back. Kudos to UPS and Bed Bath & Beyond for this frustrating experience.

    I would give zero stars if I could. Buying a couch from Bed Bath & Beyond was a huge mistake — both the product and the company were massive disappointments. The couch we received is defective. It sheds hundreds of feathers daily, making a mess all over our home. It’s uncomfortable, cheaply made, and absolutely not worth the price.

    But the worst part? The customer service. I called on the very last day of the return window to initiate a return, and was told their system was down and to call back later. I did — and suddenly they said I was outside the return window and refused to honor the return, even though I had proof of my earlier call. They dismissed my concerns, ignored what I said, and treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about.

    It was deeply frustrating and completely unprofessional. It’s clear they are no longer operating with customer care in mind — likely due to their bankruptcy. I strongly urge others to avoid shopping here altogether. DO NOT trust this company. I regret giving them my money, and I hope this review saves someone else from making the same mistake.

    Absolute WORST customer service. Called in to ensure I would be able to schedule a delivery date for a large sectional. Was assured I would receive a call from the driver.     I came to this site because I was looking for a gazebo and when I searched, they popped up. I found one in a pond me trying to check out. The price changed like three times! They had the “original price” marked out, then the sale price which was of course lower. Then you go to the checkout it is another different price that is higher than the sale price. Then if you have a coupon from them, they give you the percent off of the so-called original price which makes you end up paying what the sale price is in a little more! Which I find it very crazy.

    When you are in a store if something is on sale and you have a coupon you’re using it charge to sell price not the original price. So the price change literally three times. I took screenshots to prove it, and I also called and spoke to someone in customer service which they tried to explain and I explained to them as a customer how it is wrong to have a sale then try to give a customer a coupon and make them use it charge the original price which to me is ludicrous!! I received $100 off coupon for download the app for the first time which I did. I am unable to upload that photo because it says I exceed the maximum photo amount which I also have photos of how the price continuously changes, but it won’t allow me to upload all of them.

    In Prep for a party, I ordered two patio sets which estimated 3 day delivery! FIVE days later CS tells me the first set should arrive in another 5 days. The other set will “leave the warehouse” in TEN DAYS, WITH ANOTHER WEEK FOR DELIVERY. BB&B quips their dates are “estimates”. When you're off by 3 weeks, one would suspect you're advertising items you have items, which are not in stock, despite listing indicating they are in stock. If I used Amazon I would have had in 3 days. Shame on me.

    I used to be a regular customer of Bed Bath & Beyond. Recently I placed an order and three items in my order were not what I had ordered and were inferior garbage and these are products that I have purchased before but are not the proper quality or size or anything. I do not know if what I received was knockoff products or what. I have called and called to all their phone numbers. There is NO customer service. Their Utah home office has voicemail with no-one returning calls. The free returns for defective products wants to charge me 80 to 90% of the purchase price of the items to receive three separate return mailing labels as you cannot have a return with multiple items as they MUST be done separately and there is no choice for the item being defective or a wrong item even when clicking on their link for free returns when the item is a wrong item or defective.

    BedBathandBeyond.com site is being reviewed, as well as the customer no-service people you get when calling BBB 800 phone number. I ordered a rug-Novogratz by Momeni Jem Stella 2 x 3 size. The picture on BBB website shows a blue field with yellow design. It looks rich and beautiful. Sadly, what you receive is a low level inferior rug that has barely enough blue wool to cover the surface. The white backing shows through so much so that the rug appears polka dotted. BBB should be ashamed of scamming people in this way. Take a truthful picture of the product so people can make an informed decision. The rug they shipped to me is in no way a replica of the picture. I waited 2 weeks to get the rug and was shocked when I opened it. Called immediately for return authorization.

    Customer no service agent - Sibongisisa immediately told me BBB would charge me $25 to have them provide return shipping for the rug. FOR THE DEFECTIVE RUG THEY SHIPPED. Outrageous. She continued to tell me that I changed my mind and BBB is not responsible to pay return freight for changing one's mind. Told her in no uncertain terms I would not be paying BBB anything to return this defective item. She did send me an RMA number and I took it to the post office and paid a further $10.65 on top of the $7.41 BBB charged to ship to me originally. I want to warn everyone to be aware of the dishonest tactics used by BBB and make your purchases with companies that are reputable. BBB is not. I was forced to give one star or I could not review them. They deserve zero.

    I placed an order that included some Pillow Shams, but when I returned them—along with other items from the same order—I was told I wouldn’t receive a refund because they were supposedly sent to the wrong return address. The issue? I followed the return instructions they provided. Now, I’m left without the merchandise and without my money.

    I’ve reached out, explained the situation, and asked for a reconsideration, but so far, the company has refused to take responsibility for the mistake.
