It is grain free. Provides a balance diet. Dog likes it. Dog has not had allergy problem since changing her diet to Taste of the Wild. Chewy.com ships to my door on schedule so I don't run out or have to shop at a reasonable price.

This is an excellent grain free product. However, their supply seems to always be an issue. It's reasonably priced at Petco (14.99 for a 5lb bag) but many vendors such as Happy Feet on 1st avenue in New York overprice the product (25.00 for a 5 lb bag) so they need to do some pricing control with their distributors. I've never seen a recall of the product and my dog has been using their product for 8 years. My dog is a 12 1/2 year old Rottweiler.

I was searching around to see if others were having issues with Taste of the Wild High Prairie for dogs. We opened a new bag in late March and within a day my dog had terrible diarrhea. After a few days I changed him to rice and chicken and pumpkin and started doing better. I went back to the food and it started over again. I changed to a different brand and the diarrhea stopped. I am worried about kidney damage though as he’s been drinking a ton of water for the past couple weeks.

My dog loves it - I buy the Venison and Bison and he eats it up!! No grain and not as expensive as wild blue. I can only get it at one store, Rural King, but there are two within 25 miles, so not too bad...but it would be nice to find it closer!

My go-to product was Orijen. I had done my homework and research about it for a month before giving it to my dog, however, I stop feeding my dog this brand because of the price range. They recently had a lawsuit claiming high levels of lead in the brand, so I went ahead and contacted the brand. Long story short, they were able to send me all the research labs test and information about the brand lead levels.

I have a 14 year old Yorkipoo, and an 8 year old Schnoodle. They have always eaten TOTW dry Salmon with no issues. They only eat this food and no table food! I think many people feed their dogs other people food, and they get sick and have other health issues for this reason. My dogs eat less, maintain their weight, have good skin, and a healthy coat with this dog food. Now I do only feed them the dry Salmon, which may make a difference for issues others are having.

I had six dogs (3 large and 3 small) until my big German Shepherd had to be put down due to a neurological issue in his back. He was 13 years old. He and my Golden Retriever weighed over 100 pounds (not fat) and have enjoyed this food for at least 8 years. Now my Scotties are on it, too. Nobody has skin issues. They look forward to breakfast and dinner every day. The salmon flavor is their favorite. I did notice the addition of probiotics to the writing on the bags within the past year. I was concerned that probiotics are not always a good additive but it did not seem to have any effect on my dogs.

My dog has been on the TOTW Prairie bag diet for the 5th bag. Everything was going fine until we bought another bag, and she would puke every time after she would eat within a 5-10 minutes of eating. I went to the Vet and did a lot of different tests and scans, all coming back fine. He suggested I change her food, which I did to a cooked chicken / rice diet. All of her symptoms were gone, I tried giving her the TOTW bag food again, once again puke within 15 minutes. I threw away the bag right away, and bought a generic Member's Mark chicken / brown rice bag. Within 1 day, all of her symptoms were gone. No more puking, no more issues. VERY VERY disappointed with Taste of the Wild as I had only read good things about this company. Quality assurance is clearly not being done right as all of the bags are not the same. The TOWT food was bought from Petco.

I bought new bag of TOTW Sierra Mountain for my rough collies yesterday. So far, they've done fine on the food, but the new bag definitely smells off, sort of like chemicals. The last bag had more of a meaty smell. It'll be a 4 1/2 hour round trip to take it back, but the dogs are family and I'm concerned. Has anyone else notice this?

We have been giving our 2 cats TOTW for about 4 years. Both cats have started vomiting. I had just opened a new bag of this food. I'm returning this bag and will be buying a different brand. Fortunately, both cats have vet appointments in 3 days. I'm researching alternative dry foods.

Taste of the Wild worked with me and tested the dog food batch at their facility. They found no issues. I am still working with my vet to correct the stool issues.

My dogs have been eating TOTW for years with no adverse conditions. I received a new bag and suddenly one dog was vomiting and had diarrhea. I stopped feeding any of the dry food and switched to cooking chicken, rice, veggies, per vet recommendation. Did this for several weeks, dog recovered, switched back to TOTW. Within days my other dog got so sick we had to go to ER vet. She had inflamed intestinal walls and pancreatitis. She's at home recovering now and I will be making her food from now on.

I am absolutely sick to my stomach over the recent lawsuit about TOTW having more lead content in it than the homes in Flint MI. **. Last year, my previously healthy 2 year, 2 mo old St Bernard succumbed after 3 weeks at the vet getting tested & treated, and my vet bill was over $17K. I am drowning in bills and even worse lost my beloved dog. I will be joining this class action lawsuit.

I have a 8 month old German Pit. I got her when she was 4 months old and she had worms and a very sensitive stomach. I had her on Rachel Ray zero grain and it didn't upset her stomach but she wasn't growing any and wouldn't really eat as much as she should. I switched her to the Bison recipe and she's now eating like she's supposed too and has gained 5-10 lbs since I switched over and is plump and happy now. The only complaint I have is that she will get terrible gas from time to time. Any advice to fix this would greatly appreciated.

I have had both my 5- year old English Cream Golden and my 4-year old Sheep Dog on Taste of the Wild Dog Food their ENTIRE lives. Yesterday my golden had to undergo a $1300 bladder stone removal surgery after $600 in testing, and my 4-year old Sheep Dog just today was diagnosed with Full Kidney Failure and she may be put down tomorrow. My vet is blaming poor dog food (TOTW) for both problems. The worst part is that I thought I was feeding my dogs a quality food when I chose TOTW. Run consumers run!

I have been feeding my two 7 yr old very sensitive white Boxers this kibble for the past 5 yrs with excellent results in overall health, no allergy issues such as skin, nails, coat, stomach. I do have to say that it is only the Pacific Stream formula that has accomplished these results. I discovered after many trials of isolating various food ingredients that our Boxers are allergic to poultry. Prior to switching to TOTW Pacific Stream brand, I was feeding them both Orijen or Acana brand in the initial 2 yrs of life and did find that my dogs did develop skin allergies with the poultry even in this superior quality kibble.

I have had both my labs on TOTW for years now. In the most recent 6 months, the gas being produced by my labs is intolerable. I just took one of my labs to a vet visit last Saturday and she said it could be a change in the recipe of the brand. I am not a happy camper with the changes and my dogs are not eating as well as they were before. They don't get table scraps additional food outside of their kibble. Reading other reviews, CLEARLY there has been some kind of change. I will be switching them to another brand before my dogs end up in ER for gastrointestinal issues or worse.

My cats loved eating this food so I bought it until I started seeing illness in some adults and kittens. One 10 month old kitten suffered from what seemed like Inflammatory Bowel Disease symptoms which we (my vets and myself) could not cure, and she died (a piece of my heart went with her from this terrible death). An adult mother cat stopped suddenly nursing her 4 month old kittens crying and crying for unknown reasons. She looked swollen but no vets nor myself could figure out why. Nothing worked to solve this swelling problem (not antibiotics, not deworming). After the 10 month old kitten died and this swollen mother cat seemed ill, I changed this dry food. I replaced it with one that I had used before without problems of this sort. The swelling in the mother cat went away and she is doing great now. I cannot in all honesty recommend this food.

My dogs have been eating this food since June 4, 2019. My female dog is 5 and was recently diagnosed with ADVANCED DCM and a heart murmur. I had no idea the FDA was investigating Limited Ingredient and Grain Free foods until this happened. The cardiologist told me she has so many cases of this. Look up FDA/Grain free, Tufts University and grain free, CVCA website - grain free - I now belong to a group on FB for DCM and there are MANY people who have fed this dog food to their dogs and are suffering the same fate for their family. I will be testing my other dog as well. They often do not show symptoms. If your dog has been eating this or other grain free food get them tested. Some cases can be turned around with nutrition and meds. The company is taking NO responsibility.

This dog food keeps my dogs healthy, alert, with very little body fat, coats are shiny, and they are happy. My English bulldog is not a couch potato because of Taste Of The Wild. I would not feed anything else as far as kibble goes for my dogs, My Pet store always keep s a good variety.

I've been feeding my dog this food for a 3-4 years. He has tolerated it and I've had no interest in changing his food. Recently, the recipe was changed. Unfortunately, I found this out after my dog became ill with pancreatitis. My dog's vet said that this often happens when an older dog's food is changed. My poor baby is very sick and may not survive. I don't recommend this brand.

I work at a pet boarding facility and we happen to sell this on our shelves. I did a little (not enough) research and thought my dog would love this. He is a 3.5 year old, 80 pound Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix. Has never been sick aside from kennel cough from the shelter when we adopted him at the age of 1 year old. First, I grabbed a sample bag, which he loved, even our four month old yorkiepoo was raving about the smell. My dog enjoyed it and so I went and purchased the 15 lb bag.

We have two dogs, 5 and 3, that have eaten Taste of the Wild exclusively since about 2 months old. Over the last few months all of a sudden they are having intermittent vomiting and diarrhea problems. The only thing they eat is Taste of the Wild brand - no table food - with occasional plain yogurt & pumpkin with digestive upset. There have been no changes in their lives. There must be some change in the recipe to be making them sick. What is another brand that may be a similar substitute to switch their diet?

My dog absolutely loves Taste of the Wild! She loves that there are so many different flavors for her to choose from, and I love that it’s sold at a reasonable price. We like to try the different flavors so she can try different things. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I own a wolf hybrid and I will not use any other product for her. Taste of the Wild has quality ingredients that I trust. My dog is happy and healthy thanks to this brand! We have used a ton of different flavors, and use the canned food as well.

I have used Taste of the Wild dog food to supplement home cooked foods for my dogs for years. About a month ago, my schools started having bloody diarrhea and vomiting. I had just purchased a new bag of Taste of the Wild. The dog went to the vet and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. After 2 days with the vet, he came home and has required a lot of care and home cooking. Our second dog then started vomiting excessively (10 times in an hours, not bloody). I removed flea collars from both dogs and washed the dogs. (Collars were a month old, but I wanted to eliminate any possibility.) I put them back on chicken and rice solely. Both got better. I fed a bit of Taste of the Wild the past few days and my Schnoodle is vomiting and lethargic again. What is in this dog food?

I have been feeding my dogs Taste of the Wild for about four years, and now my one dog has DCM. She is a pitbull, which isn't a breed that typically gets this disease. My vet informed me that grain free diets, like Taste of the Wild can lower taurine levels and cause this deadly disease. I hope nobody else has to see their dog in a state of congestive heart failure (she is alive). So I had to switch foods (vets orders), to one that includes grains, and I hope this didn't affect my other dog.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with this brand. When I adopted my puppy at 16 weeks old, she was underweight and had a tapeworm. We’ve been through the wringer with her digestive issues. She seemed to always have soft stools and stomach gurgling. We went through 3 different brands, some with grain, some grain free and it was always the same - soft smelly stools and still underweight. The tapeworm was gone and the vet said it would just take time for her to put on weight. But something just seemed off to me.

I have a 10 yo Lab and a 2 yo Lab-Chow mix. Both are very high energy dogs and require over 30% protein and at least 18% fat in their diet, or they begin to lose weight like crazy. Being in college, I couldn't afford anything too special, so I had them both on Purina Pro Plan Sport 30/20 ($56 for a 50 lbs. bag) and they were doing well. But I really didn't like that there were so many fillers in it. I had previously tried them on a grain-free food (Wholeheartedly), but they both had gastrointestinal issues, even though I had introduced it slowly.

We have a Bichon and a Puggle and have been using TOTW lamb for the past 8 months because all other dog food we purchased before affected the Bichon with allergies and it has since cleared up. We just purchased a new bag this week and the dogs are eating like there's no tomorrow. Was there a recipe change on this food recently???

We have been feeding our dog Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Lamb Formula for 2 years. She has had rare instances of vomiting in the past, including one day where she was sick multiple times. She recovered from that incident and seemed fine. However, this past Monday we needed an emergency vet visit (including tests and x-rays) after we opened a new bag of TOTW Sierra Mountain Lamb Formula and the dog became violently ill. She threw up at least six times and was excessively thirsty (leading to an accident in the house, which has not happened since the week she was adopted 12/2016). Our vet told us after a 2 1/2 hour exam that our dog's GI tract was severely inflamed and we needed to stop her normal diet immediately (not only to give the GI tract a chance to heal, but to stop any possible tainted food from entering her system).

I absolute love this brand of food. The Bison formula is where it’s at for my two pooches. Lexi, and Rex my two 3 year old Presa-Canario (brother and sister) has skin allergies. Therefore, I am very picky and careful about what I feed them. A lot of food makes their belly upset, and then they are in and out all night long. But, once I switched Lexi and Rex over to this grain-free Bison formula, they don’t have upset bellies. Although, they prefer the Bison flavour, the store I normally go to (FarmNFleet) was out of the Bison. I did not want to switch the brand, so I tried a different taste. We tried the Salmon... Nope, not for my dogs. They were having accidents left and right, and they never have accidents in the house. So, there goes that, Bison we stay with. :) Thanks Taste of the Wild!

My cat was having trouble going to the bathroom & I was trying to find a cat food, which was Organic & had No Artificial Preservatives, No Artificial Colors, No Artificial Flavors. That's "NOT" an easy task, for animal or human food, etc.! There are words which mean the above, but the fronts & small print on labels claim to be free of the above. You "ALWAYS" need to "CAREFULLY READ" all ingredients in the "INGREDIENTS LABEL". A Food Ingredients Label should "NEVER CONTAIN" the words "ENRICHED", "BLEACHED", "REDUCED CALORIE" OR "LOW FAT"!

My dog became very ill eating this food, at first he just quit eating it, so I had the sense to change his food, then it was used as a treat at a Doggie bootcamp, and he became very ill, severe gastroenteritis - what in the hell would do that? Then my son fed his 4 month puppy TOTW puppy food, same thing in just a couple days, took days to switch foods, pumpkin, rice, and chicken to get his inside put back together. What are you putting in that food? My guess would be pesticides? Heavy Metals? Melamine? I have never seen anything like it, it's like slowly poisoning your dog, BEWARE.

I have had my dogs, and I have 7, on Taste of the Wild Prey Limited Ingredient Angus Beef. I was so excited to see this come into the store. I shop Tractor Supply. I have been buying it weekly since it became available, as it is new, so new Chewy didn't have it when I tried to order it, and have noticed that after I dump the food into my plastic container with sealed lid, in the house. I am finding at least 1 snail in the container. I at first, thought, no way, it's not in the food. How would it survive? But I have consistently gotten a snail in the last 4 or 5 bags!

I have found Taste of the Wild High Prairie a great food source for our dogs. They maintain a good weight and nice coats. We do mix a bit of canned food with their meal, but they will eat it dry as well. I would and have recommended Taste of the Wild to friends.

Since adopting our ex-racing greyhound, Winston, four year ago, we have been feeding him Taste of the Wild while trying to "heal" his gut from the terrible food he received at the track. He loves the high protein diet and has been able to maintain his lean, muscular profile. We now have our Chihuahua eating it too!

My little buddy had developed very bad diarrhea from a competitor brand. Started over with a bland food diet. Got some high plains TOTW... I have never seen my dogs coat so shiny and him so excited to eat every meal! He licks his bowl clean every time. Before he would always have a dog food crust ring around the bowl from the competitor brand... we know who that is... ;-) Best thing I've done lately for my best friend! He deserves it!

Our precious Bailey is one happy dog! Since we first tried it, he has always enjoyed "Taste of the Wild" dog food and that's now exactly the only one he always gets! He truly seems to enjoy the variety of awesome flavors, too! Plus, praise God, his digestive system and overall health seem good (and we would think that has to be attributed to the goodness in his dog food).

Dry cat food - I got three male kittens at the shelter. Since I know that a possible problem with male cats is urinary blockage, I asked my vet what I should feed them. She recommended Taste of the Wild, and told me she has her own cats on it. The boys love it! No health problems. Their stool is formed, no diarrhea. They will be on it for life.

Solid poops. Dog doesn't like the flavors too much but solid poops every time. Tried all the flavors and he doesn't seem to like most of them unfortunately. But ever since I switched to this dog food I have never had a problem with his poop. That is why I keep buying this food.

This dog food is high quality, my staffy Boris loves it and is healthy as it gets. I love being able to rely on a dog food and not have to question or worry about the quality of ingredients. Boris loves the wetlands flavor, I highly recommend this product, your dogs deserve it.

I used to make our dogs food weekly to avoid the grains and fillers found in other dog foods, but Taste of the Wild provides the high-quality nutrition I want for her without all of the labor. We also feed our cat Taste of the Wild cat food. He was on a prescription food when we adopted him, but took to Taste of the Wild immediately and hasn't had the kidney and other issues that required him to eat the expensive prescription stuff! We highly recommend this pet food for anyone looking for high quality, grain free solutions for their pets.

I have a pitbull and two Frenchies, they are all at different stages in their lives so it makes buying food for them a little difficult. However Taste of the Wild has been our go to for the past 8 years and all three of them love this brand. It’s super affordable and they gobble it up like it’s going out of style!!

Our little Mountain Feist (a terrier breed), Sadie loves the Appalachian Valley Small Breed Grain-free! She's four years old, healthy, and feisty as ever. She has regular bowel movements. We're part of the 14 lb. bag loyalty program and excited to get our free bag soon. Taste of the Wild has specialized food for all types, sizes and ages of dog.

Good quality and choice of grain free food. Just a bit pricey. Would like to see more choice of meat alone food and no potato or peas added. A bit more gravy would enhance the flavor of the can food with the dry food. Need coupons to buy more can food.

The food gives our dogs a shiny coat and good poops. Our dogs seem to really love it. It would be great if you could add other flavors for small dogs. They love the Appalachian formula but sometimes they get bored and we have to switch it up. Overall, we really enjoy Taste of the Wild!

I switched my yellow lab from Orijen Original to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream about two years ago. He hasn't had any issues with it, he still loves the flavor, the price is reasonable, and it is available at my local feed store. He is not picky with food that he eats, so we have never had to switch flavors. But, I am sure he would eat any of them. I am happy they have a reward program, too. It is a nice perk for those of us who stay loyal to one brand.

Our dogs have very sensitive tummies. We went through multiple brands and almost every flavor of Taste of the Wild before we found the lamb flavor. Our dogs love it and the lamb flavor of Taste of the Wild is nutritious and gentle on our dogs stomachs. With two big dogs, it’s vital that our dogs enjoy their food and there are no digestion issues. Taste of the Wild is our go to dog food!

I have 2 dogs that are allergic to almost every ingredients dog food kibble is made from. Taste of the Wild is one of the few that does not have those ingredients. There are others which I tried but the dogs did not care for. Taste of the Wild is the only one they eat with gusto! They don't walk away until it's finished!

My dog absolutely loves Taste of Wild. The grain free dog food is healthy, gives my dog a shiny coat and plenty of energy. My friend's dog will only eat Taste of Wild when I go to their home and stay or she comes to my home. She is now a Taste of Wild customer as well.

I have a 5 yr. old, #58 Bull Terrier (Malcolm) that I got from my sister at a yr. and a half, after he bit a member of the family and couldn't stay there any longer. Wanting to get him the best I could, and an hour, or so, online, I made my decision to purchase Taste of the Wild. It has lots of little extras, like pro-biotics (I feel they help me, why not him?), no grains, natural and wild-sourced proteins, etc. How could I, a self-proclaimed fitness/health nut, do anything less for my new charge?! He's now 5 1/2 yrs. old and is healthy and regular. Important for us all. Lol.

I have a dog that was allergic to everything. I started him on Taste of the Wild a few years ago. He no longer has dry skin. He has grown all his hair back and his coat looks beautiful again. Before he looked like he had the mange. I would recommend this food for anyone that is having health issue to see if it could help.

My cat had a lot of vomiting over a year ago. After a few tests it was determined she had GI sensitivity to chicken and certain cat food. Grain free Taste Of The Wild was recommended, dry, and she has been fine ever since. I use the Wild meats and fish types. My cat loves it.

As a family of three dogs, we were looking for a dog food that fit our dogs needs. We love that it's grain-free at an affordable cost. Best yet, our dogs love it! The food is nutrient-rich, and great for digestive health! We love our dogs and they love their food!

I added the canned "topper" to Daisy's dry Taste of the Wild. She liked it, but I was having to throw the remainder out because it was going bad. It costs too much to throw out. I even read the label with a magnifying glass and never saw it say to refrigerate after opening. I'll still buy the dry, but not the other. I think it could be the reason the was getting sick so often. The company didn't really act like they cared when I contacted them. Very disappointing.

Great dog food. Have used it for many years on many dogs and puppies. They all do great on it!! Wouldn't use anything else. Loved it when it was all Life Stage dog food, but glad there is now a puppy grade food. The variety and choices available are wonderful especially with the more picky eaters.

Dogs love the bison /venison flavor. I feel good about buying a grain free product that is made in USA, responsibly sourced and reasonably priced. I can get the product in Chicago and in Montana. My Dogs love it. The prey flavors are also very good. I like that there are frequent sales and price matching.

We have had outstanding success with Taste of the Wild pet food. We use the feline varieties and our cats love it. Their coats are full and shiny and even though they graze we use less food than other brands. One of our Male cats has urinary problems but not with the product. Love Taste of the Wild.

All four of my pets were on Taste of the Wild Lamb & Rice for their entire life. Each had healthy lives and no health issues. Our Akita was with us for 15 years, our 1st Husky for 12 years and our Doberman for 8 years. Our current Husky is active and no health issues at 9 years. I believe this in large part to a good diet. No plans to change unless a specific diet is needed for health reasons.

I’ve been feeding this brand to my 2 year old pit bull since he was a puppy and after testing all the top name brands Taste of the Wild was by far the highest quality. Ever since doing so his health and hair have been perfect and our vet wants him to stay on the same diet for the rest of his life.

I foster puppies plus I have a dog and two cats. ALL of the animals in my home eat only Taste of the Wild. Prior to this food, my cats were using regular grocery store food and they were getting very sick. I would 100 percent recommend this food. If you're having trouble with a smelly litterbox, switch to Taste of the Wild.

I have been feeding my dog Taste of the Wild for years and she has always loved it. I am a huge fan of the ingredients in the Prey formula and have been feeding my dog this formula for about 5 months now. She is a 65 pound lab mix and always has access to her food. She tends to eat about 2-4 cups per day depending on how much exercise she’s had in the pool. Beautiful coat from the Prey formula which is important as she can get dry skin/hair from the sun and salt water pool. I believe the price is worth it due to all the benefits and I will continue to purchase.

Our dog has sensitive EVERYTHING it seems, once we switched him to Taste of the Wild grain free salmon, he loved it and had no more skin or stomach issues! Every time we think we'll try something else that seems to be on sale, he totally rejects it or just breaks out in hot spots and we have major vet bills along with a suffering dog. So we are here to stay and appreciate the high quality, reasonably priced dog food our beloved loves.

So glad that I discovered Taste Of The Wild! I was feeding my dog a different brand of dog food that was high quality but very, very expensive. The cost became too much of a burden so I had to find a different food but didn't want to sacrifice quality ingredients. With Taste Of The Wild, my dog gets the best food without animal by-products etc. at a unbelievably low price.

Rocco is a floppy-eared Labradoodle. When young he was on another food and had terrible problem with his ears. You couldn’t even touch them without him screaming. Someone said that Salmon food would help and I found Taste of the Wild and tried that. It’s been 12 years now and never had another issue. I’ve recommended it to others who’s dogs have that problem so they will feel better.

It took a few brands to end up on Taste of the Wild. My dog loves it! I switch flavors (for variety because I'm not a savage) each time and have yet to find one she doesn't like. Therefore, I will not buy anything else. Way to go Taste of the Wild!

I have Field Spaniels and have fed them Taste of the Wild most of their life. I tried other similar brands as far as similar proteins and fat content and when I switched to Taste of the Wild, never more an issue with allergies, dry skin, or lack of interest in the food.

My dog looks and acts so healthy with this brand. I read the ingredients so it looks like it is good for him too. Shiny coat, lots of energy, and it seems to agree with his stomach too. I have tried other grain free brands but he seems to really like this one. Plus the farting is not nearly as bad as other brands.

Our Boxer has had many sensitivities to dog food until we found Taste of the Wild. A great product, with many flavor choices to choose from. It is a bit more expensive but well worth the extra cost to ensure our dog doesn't suffer from the itchy red welts on her stomach and itchy enflamed ears she was experiencing from the less expensive "grocery store" brands.

Our to furbabies love it, and they are finicky! They quickly get sick with other brands, due to allergies and snowflake stomach tolerances. Quality of ingredients is our top priority, and few brands compare to TOTW. Sourced company via Costco private label brand. Wouldn't buy another other brand for our furbabies.

The cost of Taste of the Wild is the weakest point. Dog food can be purchased at much less cost and much greater quantity elsewhere, such as Costco. The truth of the food is that unless you have working dogs or dogs on a diet, the less expensive brands are just fine. For example, Taste of the Wild is more rich in minerals and vitamins the dogs need, if my dog needed to lose weight I would feed them TotW but in smaller quantities. I purchase it to have on hand in the event of something happening that prevents me from being able to get the much cheaper dog food. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with the product. The cost prevents me from purchasing it as my main source of dog food.

This food has literally saved my dogs' lives! We have 5 dogs, 3 are pure bread labs. Two of them had severe food allergies, we tried everything the vets recommended, cooked chicken and rice, but still no resolve. So my husband did a bunch of research and found out they were allergic to starch! So we put them on the Pine Forest blend which has the least amount of starch. They are no longer chewing their feet off, no more scratching all nite, and normal bellies, no more pink hot spots. We will forever keep our fur kids on Taste of the Wild!

Our breeder fed all her puppies Taste of the Wild, but it wasn't as readily available 10 years ago when we got our dog. So, I tried several other dog foods, but kept coming back to Taste of the Wild because our dog responded the best to it. At almost 10 years old, she has the energy of a puppy and is going strong. I have two beautiful young golden retrievers and did a lot of research on the food that would be best for them and kept coming up with Taste of the Wild roasted fowl. So I tried it, and they absolutely love it. I have had no issues with it, their coats are beautiful, they have lots of energy and I couldn’t be happier with it.

When I got my boy in June he was just under 3 pounds and 3 months later he is now 40 pounds of strong muscle. The High Prairie puppy formula is the best. I am pleased with this product and do highly recommend it to anyone with a new puppy. He continues to be satisfied at every meal. Very happy to have finally found a single brand of kibble for our English and French Bulldogs. The Frenchies have different sensitivities and allergies and were very fussy about other brands of kibble. They loved TOTW right away and the varieties in flavors helped us figure out what they were allergic to fairly quickly. Although I wish I could feed them all the same formula, I am happy to finally be consistent in a single brand that I can get from the same store and same price.

Very high-quality dog food. You do get what you pay for. If your dogs' health is as important to you as your own this is a good choice. There are several different flavors and I have had no issues switching between them. High Prairie seems to be their favorite. I have been using Taste of the Wild products for 4 years. The Vet complements my dogs' appearance and health every visit I take them to.

Both our cat and dog eat Taste of the Wild foods. The cat refuses to eat anything else and the dog needs a high protein diet. This kibble is the highest I could find. The dog also gets bored with flavors. Taste of the Wild allows me to rotate between several flavors without negative impact. My dog is happy!

Taste of the Wild appalachian valley venison/garbanzo dog food - My dog eagerly awaits and then gobbles up every morsel of the dry/wet food combination I give her. Our German Shepherd has done so well with this food. She has filled out better, seems happier with her food and she is so much more healthier. Our son has even put his new puppy on the puppy food. I wish we had known about Taste of The Wild sooner.

I have been feeding both of my Goldendoodles the Taste of the Wild product and have been very happy with the quality of the food and the variety of flavors. My dog currently likes the Wetlands Roasted Fowl variety. I feel good about the fact that my dog is getting quality food. The rewards program is great too!

We were very pleased with Taste of the Wild Adult dry food. For the cost, it's a very high quality food. I’m watchful about the ingredients I'm feeding my pets and I'm watchful of the source of the ingredients and recalls the company has had. The only reason we switched from TOTW is that we added a giant breed puppy and the protein level was higher than recommended for giant breeds. I also wasn’t sure about the calcium to phosphorus ratio. What works for our Bulldogs unfortunately doesn’t for our Irish Wolfhound.

We have used this product since it came on the market. We moved and are now unable to visit the store to use the loyalty program. My son is now carrying it at his farm store. We first started using Taste of the Wild for the benefits which include the doggy doo clean up in the yard. Major difference from other dog food product.

My dogs just love these foods. They are healthy and most importantly they are happy. I call out and say, "Supper's ready." They come running. I have a large dog and a small dog and they both eat and then do running for a while. I think it must give them extra energy or something. They love it???

While dogs can't talk, they are amazing at showing signs of something upsetting them. My 8 mo old lab has been on TOTW Adult food for 2 months before we had a very scary incident occur. I was so excited to try TOTW food because of its positive reviews & ingredients! We ship our bag from our local PETCO store via online subscription so the bag arrives at my doorstep once a month. We just received a new bag from PETCO and I fed her her regular amount Monday morning 9/17/2018. She ate it fine. By Monday night 9/17/18 she wouldn't eat her dog food. Very weird considering she's a lab puppy who loves food! I encouraged her to eat as much as I could, but thought maybe she was getting sick or... is this a bad bag or dog food? I just opened it up and we haven't had any problems before! I told myself, if she doesn't eat breakfast 9/18/18 I will go by another bag of TOTW to see if it was just the food.

My dog is a Shar Pei boxer mixed and is allergic to almost everything. She has to have everything grain free. I started using Taste of the Wild about a year ago and it has helped greatly in controlling her allergies. Recently I changed over to the Taste of Wild for cats and my cat loves it.

I went out hunting for a good nutritional food for my dogs. A friend tried to tell me her brand of dog food was the best, but I found that brand was just not doing anything for my dogs. Then I read the package ingredients and bought a bag, they love it! They don't care for fish for some reason, but the yellow bag brings them back over and over again. I told her about it and she said hmm yeah that is a good food too. I said it is the best!

We have a Corgi named Radar and he has been eating your food since he was a puppy, he loves it so much, no problem with him eating dry, or anyway we give it to him! He is now 11 years old and still loves dearly! I will continue feeding him Taste of the Wild till he can’t eat anymore!

I do feed TOW buffalo venison. I rotate my dog's food and use TOW only 2x week. In my opinion better than others. However, I mainly feed a kibble that is NOT reconstituted meat. You should consider a slow heat actual cut of meat kibble. Your process overheats the meat and kills nutrients. Organic is best!!! Thank you.

Our dog has been on Taste of the Wild since she was 6 months old starting with puppy food. Her favorite is Roasted Bison & Venison. We never have a problem with her stomach and she is always ready to eat. Sometimes when traveling we have to drive quite a few miles to get her food but will not give her any other kind.

We are currently feeding Ruger the Pine Forest and not only does he love it but he looks amazing. After getting him as a puppy we discovered he had some sort of allergies. This food has worked wonders for him and I love the fact I was able to feed it to him as a puppy.

When I first got my Shiloh Shepherd, the breeder recommended Orijen dog food. The only place that carried it was 30 miles from my house, so I looked around for a comparable brand. I did a lot of research on ingredients,etc. I eventually decided on Taste of the Wild, High Prairie. Valroy ate it, but she wasn't thrilled with it, so I tried the Pacific Stream. Well my friends, that was the ticket! She is now 10 years old and still eats it everyday. She has a beautiful coat and has never had a weight problem. I only feed her the dry food with an occasional addition of some chicken drippings. She's healthy and happy and (sorry if this is TMI) her poop is always firm and easy to pick up! I have recommended this food to everyone who asks me what I feed her; and a lot of people ask since she is a huge dog who weighs over a 100 lbs. Thanks for making such a wonderful product.

I have four very finicky little rescue dogs and they love this food. Normally I would have to put gravy, cheese or something to make the crunches more palpable. I don't even have to disguise the Taste of the Wild with anything to get them to eat it!! Thank you so much.

Our lovely 77-pound dog has been eating Taste of the Wild since he was a puppy and never gets tired of it! He seems to really love the flavors. We love it for him because it’s nutritious and focuses on meat and real protein, not cheap fillers. His coat is lustrous, and he has good muscle tone and is healthy and happy.

Our vet recommended a few grain free dog foods for our Huskey who has seizures. We decided to try the salmon Taste of the Wild brand and he loved it so that is all we feed him now. I have two nine-year-old male chihuahuas who are very picky eaters. I tried several brands of foods and finally found one they would eat. They seem to like it so far and I've been giving it to them for over a year. I like that they have one with very small bites. So far, so good...

We have been very impressed with this dog food. We use the Bison/Lamb because our dog has a corn allergy. He has been kind of a picky eater with other brands but he really like the Taste of Wild food. Our lab is so healthy, and he is very active and his coat is shiny. The loyalty program is an added bonus.

My dog Mac loves his Taste of the Wild. He is almost 3 years old and loves every flavor he has tried. He is a hard working hunting dog in the fall and winter and it keeps him fueled up to hunt all day and retrieve all the birds we can hunt.

We have been feeding our dogs this brand since they were 8 and 9 weeks old. They are now over three years old and have always loved the food. It has kept them healthy and happy. Use this food for a once kitten and two grown cats. Kitten was very ill at 6 months, see second photo, two pounds and full grown ferals were very finicky eaters. Now I own a 10-month-old 11-pound healthy growing kitten, see third photo and slightly more personable, a lot more scheduled, healthy eating feral cats, one I can now take a pic of, see first photo. Other still too shy. Great product for wide range of need, nutrient-rich, grain and worry-free. 2 thumbs up.

When I first got my chihuahua, we had no idea what food she liked. After many attempts of trying to give her many different brands and flavors, we got a sample of the Wild Boar flavor and she LOVED it. So, for many years that is the one we bought for her. Now, she is a little older and I know she prefers salmon over any other flavor so I buy the Pacific salmon flavor with the tiny kibble so it is easy for her to eat. She loves it!

My Golden Retriever was tested for allergies and was determined to be allergic to potatoes. It is amazing how many different dog foods contain potatoes. The Southwest Canyon Recipe has none. My dog has been using it for at least three years and is in very good health. He has no arthritis, and requires nothing but the kibble and a little water. I go through a 28 lb. bag in about 6 weeks feeding him a generous cup twice a day. I am very satisfied.

Both of my cats love Taste of the Wild rocky mountain. They will wait by their bowels in the morning and night until I fill with food. The cost is reasonable. I have tried a lot of brands however they never get tired of Taste of the Wild rocky mountain.

Had Australian Shepherd on TOTW-Puppy High Prairie for 6 months and switched over to the Adult High Prairie. Mixed as vet recommended 7 days. Once on adult food, very upset stomach, (large wet stool) & diarrhea x 5 days. I would not think using the same brand and mix from puppy to adult High Prairie would have such a "rich" ingredient difference. He was a little sensitive on the puppy formula also, but I thought it may be the vegetables/fruit ingredients which biology wise, I thought would be a plus. Going back to Bil-Jac as I had used since the 80's with many dogs (no issues).

We moved from Florida to Oklahoma in 2015 and had to find a new food to feed our dog since we bought Costco brand in Florida and Oklahoma has no Costcos nearby! Taste of the Wild was perfect! It lasted. Our dog loved it. And it's not so expensive. Every time we take her out we never fail to get compliments about her coat. Taste of the Wild FTW. :) We LOVE the High Prairie one!

My dog loves this dog food. Been using this brand for 7 years. She is always excited when I bring a new bag into the house. She waits by the bag until I open it. The thing I like about Taste of the Wild is the variety of flavors with the same nutrition in each bag.

My two standard poodles are thriving on Taste of the Wild. One is a youngster at eighteen months, the second is a senior lady of 11 years. Always an empty bowl at the end of feeding time. Great coats and wagging tails and a happy puppy mom. Great comments from the vet's office.

My dog likes this food and has since a puppy. Never had a problem. Very good reward program and have enjoyed that very much. Would recommend this highly. I have only used the dry food. I have not tried the canned though only because I don't feed her canned food.

Both my pooches love this food, new rewards program is great, I would recommend this food for your dogs. This food seems to have helped my dogs with food allergy issues. Also they seem to have less and more solid feces. Product works great for dogs with food allergy issues. Would be nice if they sold this product at Costco.

English Bulldogs are not finicky eaters but they are prone to lots of flatulence as a result of eating lower quality kibble. We suffered through this for a year or so and then I switched him to Taste of the Wild. He has had very little problems since and is now 8 years old and still loves the stuff. I can't say more than that. It is quality dog food and my Bulldog is healthy as can be at 8 years. He is active which is not common for English BullDogs and his weight is well controlled.

We switched to Taste of the Wild (Bison) two years ago on the suggestion of our son. Our then 7 year old female boxer was gaining weight and slowing down a bit. Since changing to Taste of the Wild she has lost 7 pounds and her last vet check was excellent! Maggie is full of energy and coat is smooth as a puppy. Thank you for this GREAT product for our girl.

I love this brand. It's a great quality for the price and both my dogs and cats love it! We also buy the canned cat food which my lovely felines go crazy for! We have small dogs so I love the small breed bag, however, it is difficult to find. Not all feed stores carry it.

My dog loves all flavors of taste of the wild. I appreciate their focus on quality. At times, I am inconvenienced that Taste Of The Wild does not sell at "big box" pet stores. However, I always prefer shopping at local pet/feed stores, which is where I can always find Taste Of The Wild.

I’m dog loves the food, however I wish you would give Krisper's loyalty program. Natural paws has it. If I buy x numbers of bags and then I get the next one free. There is no better food out there for your dog! I've gotten a few friends to switch to Taste of the Wild, and they did not regret it! The dogs enjoyed it more, and the owners enjoyed less itchiness, a silky beautiful coat, and a healthier weight and appearance! If you can't get this food in your home town, it's worth ordering it online for the un-ending benefits it presents! I go through Chewy, and have drove 15-45 miles just to get my hound dog the food she deserves, the best money can buy, at a reasonable price! As for flavors, I recommend Sierra (with lamb) and Pacific Stream (White fish mix) before all else! Happy, healthy living and eating, all!

My pups 2 Boxers and 1 Jack Russell terrier love Taste of the Wild wild pacific stream dry. I supplement with soft can varieties also. Their coats are brighter. Lots of energy too. My daughter also feeds her pups this. When my sons’s pups visit I feed this to them also.

Been feeding TOW to my dogs for 8 years. Totally love it! I love the different flavors I can feed them to change up their diet according to their needs. I have tried switching foods multiple times in the last 8 years for no particular reason but always end up coming right back.

My dog has been fed Taste of the Wild since we brought him home as a 10-week puppy. We haven't had any issues with it. We have occasionally supplemented with other brands' canned wet food. Some have given him issues and Taste of the Wild has returned him to normal. We will continue to buy Taste of the Wild for the foreseeable future.

This food has provided great energy, health, beautiful soft coat, and no issues digesting. My 60lb lab retriever loves it and as well as my 6lb yorkie. Have turned others on to this brand plus my local store has reward program for purchasing! I plan to keep this brand for all my future dogs.

My Australian Shepherd was having bad allergies causing itching to the point of chewing her hair off. I tried special food at the vet and a number of store bought brands. I finally found your Pacific Stream Salmon and she was healthy till she passed at 14. I just got another Aussie pup and he is on Pacific Stream Puppy food. Our groomer told us about this food after experiencing our dog's severe allergies. He has been symptom free for almost a year now, we just love it. And the loyalty program is great as well. Wish it was sold in the big box stores, would save me a trip to the feedstore.

Our Jack Russell who was 16 at the time was having issues with arthritis in his leg. Glucosamine helped some, but when we switched him to Taste Of The Wild with salmon, his leg issue seemed to disappear and he began running and jumping again. My dog is very picky and wont eat a lot of foods. She loves taste of the wild! I've tried multiple flavors and she loves them all. It's a great grain free food and has awesome loyalty perks. I would give 10 stars if it was an option. I would recommend to anyone especially if your dog has any sort of allergies. It has worked great.

The dog loves this food and has no digestive problems with it. Can easily find it at pet stores and is a premium food. It has unique flavors. It is expensive but worth it.

I have a 6 month old pit/shepherd mix who is normally a ball of energy. The food she was originally on when I adopted her was working great, however I read several stories and forum responses online that said a higher protein content would be better for a growing large breed puppy. So I talked with my vet, did some more intensive research, and finally made a decision to try TOTW Grain Free Puppy Salmon flavored. At first my girl was sort of into it, but after about a week she became lethargic, unsatisfied, developed an upset belly, was extremely depressed, and just didn't seem herself.

My dachshund is partially paralyzed and suffers with bladder infections, since being on TASTE OF THE WILD GRAIN-FREE FOOD his bladder infections have gotten a lot better, and he loves the food! We also feed our cat Taste of the Wild because he suffers from crystals, so I supplement some of the Taste of the Wild with the expensive food from the vet. He also loves it!

I tried Taste of the Wild for my kitties. They are self-feeders and love the food. I tried the trout and salmon today, and they tore into it. They have much more energies and are slim and healthy. This is a great cat food.

While I do not consume the kibble myself, my dogs seem to enjoy it. I started them on the Pacific Salmon, then tried the Bison which they didn't seem to like as well, so I went back to Salmon. This product is grain free and the cats love it! Salmon & Trout or Salmon & Venison. They don’t eat anything else! Taste of Wild is not only a great product but a cost effective way to feed as well, don’t need to give them a lot to keep them satisfied... so not much ‘output’ either! Win win in my book!

Our two dogs have been Taste of the Wild dog food since they were born. They love the taste of the food and it’s hard to get them away from their food dishes sometimes. They especially like the wild salmon product but have also done well with the wild fowl mix too. Great product and would recommend it to anyone!

I started using Taste of the Wild pet food when I adopted my rescue dog, 10 years ago. The director of the rescue recommended Taste of the Wild. My dogs and my cat still love Taste of the Wild. My pets are still quite agile and healthy at their advanced ages! (All over 11 years old now!)

Taste of the Wild Pacific Salmon - I have three dogs that just love this food. They are so excited when it's time for dinner. Our newest addition, who turned 1 in July, can't wait to have his bowl put down. He love his dinner so much that he waits for his fur-brother and fur-sister to finish their food so he can clean up their dinner bowls too.

I have three cats, two females and a male. Males can be prone to urinary issues when using low-quality food. After a trip to the vet, he suggested Taste of the Wild and I will NEVER go back. I've been feeling them only TotW since they were a year old, so about 8 years now. Everyone tells me how soft and slim they are, they can't believe my cats are that old! And no trips to the vet since! I recommend it to ALL my friends.

Our 3 boxers, 1 female and 2 males, will not eat any other dog food. All three are rescued dogs and would eat anything placed in front of them when we first brought them home. After we discovered Taste of the Wild and the dogs realized we were going to feed them on a regular basis they will eat nothing else. We use the dry kibble and the wet canned food. If we try feeding them something else they will actually spit the food out and look at us as if to say "do you really expect me to eat this?"

I have tried a lot of dry foods for my cats. I am so happy that I found Taste of the Wild because it is grain free and has a lot of crude protein. It is exactly what cats should be eating. My cats love the food and are healthy and happy.

My Weimaraner has consumed TOTW for the past few years without any issues. Recently, we received a bag that had a change in formula (ingredients) that was not announced, printed etc. on the bag. I fed her this new bag without any idea of the change. She experienced bloat a couple days after eating this new formulation. This new ingredient list now contains dried yeast. X-rays revealed distended abdomen and full stomach. She paced and cried all night long, licking every surface and obsessively eating grass trying to expel this food from her stomach. We have been in and out of the vet with inconclusive blood tests, so many X-rays looking for anything that may be causing a blockage and all they could see was the food.

I received 2 recommendations to try TOTW Pacific Stream Puppy after realizing my puppy was having a reaction to chicken. I bought a 5lb bag and all was well. Solid poops and I didn’t have to trick my puppy into eating it with toppers, etc. Just moistened with water for 5-10 mins since he’s a small breed. I ordered a 15lb bag online and could immediately see a difference when I opened it. Pellets were smaller, harder, and a stronger smell. It took a lot more water and over 30 mins to moisten and even then it was crumbly. All that and I still tried to feed this to my puppy who would refuse.

I had a healthy 8-year-old dog die within 3 days of eating from a new bag of Taste of the Wild. There were no other diseases or health problems prior to the sudden death. I will never use this product again.

My local feed store recommended this after my older dog started having stomach issues. Worked like a charm! I have been sold ever since, and the loyalty program they offer just makes it all that much better. There are other choices out there, but Taste of the Wild just seems to be the best food for our dogs. (We use the "High Prairie" venison and wild boar variety.)
