When our son and his dog, Sasha, moved in we decided to switch her to a high quality food. I’d read good reviews for Taste of the Wild and decided to give it a try. Within weeks we saw improvements - full and shiny coat with very little shedding, increased muscle mass, and more energy. High quality makes a difference!

Our Saint Bernard (6) and our papillon (12) get so excited when it’s dinner time! We add water to the fowl blend and allow it to get just a bit soft, swimming in gravy. They gobble it up tails wagging! They both suffer from allergies and your food is what they love. Thank you for making such a great product for our fur babies.

We started using Taste of the Wild because the pet food that we were using before started making my little dog really sick, although he did really well for a long time with it. Ever since, somebody has told me to try TOTW and I've now been using it for five years, and my dog hasn’t had a problem since then with his stomach. I have four dogs but the one that started having a problem is three-quarters Pekingese and one-quarter Chihuahua. Aside from him, I also have two Pekingese and a 100-pound mutt. They all get Taste of the Wild. We use the Pacific Stream formulation because it has a lot of fish oils in it and that helps with the skin allergies of one of my dogs.
All my dogs are extremely healthy and part of this has to do with the fact that they’re eating a healthier diet now with all that grain. All but one of them are rescue dogs. One of the rescue dogs was overweight and she dropped weight when she came to me. Plus, she has been eating better because the people who had her before knew that she was eating nonstop, as if she couldn’t get full. I'd recommend Taste of the Wild and I’ve told other people about them. That was the first thing I told another person who took some puppies my dogs had. Also, if anybody tells me about their dogs being itchy or having stomach problems, that’s the first thing I recommend.

My wife and kids have a couple of dogs. Collie is a Lassie who's a couple of years old and we also got a new pup. They do better and tend to be healthier with Taste of The Wild so we keep buying it. We've been using it for a couple of years on them. The quality is better than other pet food brands. I have a couple of nephews who do electronics and they did some work in a couple plants of some other dog food and they weren't very impressed by the quality of that dog food being sold. All in all, we'd recommend Taste of The Wild to anybody else.

I've been feeding Taste of the Wild's Lamb and Rice to my 65 pounds black Lab for two and a half years. He’s a high-energy dog and he likes it and he doesn’t throw it up, so it’s a good find. Eating natural pet food is better than having a lot of byproducts. And the more closer the ingredients are to what they would really eat out in the wild, the better. I’d recommend Taste of the Wild.

I am very happy with the consistency, value, and quality of Taste of the Wild. My dogs and my cat are absolutely in love with it, and I have never had an issue with your food. Even our oldest dog who has lost most of her teeth still chomps down your Alaskan Salmon and Sweet Potato and our cat is nuts for the Wild Trout flavor. I recommend Taste of the Wild all the time!

I've been using Taste of The Wild for my three and a half Pitbull Boxer Mix. We switched her to that about two years ago and our eight year old Hound Poodle Mix has been on it too for two years. I liked the ingredients and I got positive advise from the pet store that I was getting it from at the time. We use the Venison, it's the yellow bag. My wife does not like fish and so I avoided anything that had fish just for the smell. I wanted to find something that would be the same mixture when we transition from the puppy mix to the adult mix. With the Venison, they had a good puppy mix and so we started it as a pup and there was a good transition. Right now, both dogs are very healthy.

Taste of the Wild is the only one I’ve seen that hasn’t had a recall and it's the only thing that helps my dog’s allergies. We love it and we live by it. I have three dogs on Taste of the Wild. I have a French Mastiff, a two years old Border Collie Terrier mix, and then my oldest one that I’ve been feeding Taste of The Wild the longest is my 12 years old terrier. Taste of the Wild really helps my dogs' breath. And my terrier has digestive issues and it seemed like this is the only thing that helped him not hurt when he goes to the bathroom. I would highly recommend Taste of the Wild, and I got my whole family switched to it.

I've been using Taste of the Wild dog food for a couple of years and so far, my experience with it has been fine. It has more pure dog food than the other brands, without all the extra crap. I have a Golden Retriever-Lab mix and I feed her the dry salmon formulation, and she seems to love it. She seems happy, healthy and strong, and she doesn’t seem to be putting on more weight than expected. Whenever people ask me what I feed my dog, I say that I use the Taste of the Wild brand for her and I tell them to use it too.

One of our dogs didn’t like the formula of the previous dog food we were using, so we played around. We can sense that they all like Taste of the Wild and they tend to eat on time much better. We've been using TOTW for our dogs for about a year and a half. We love the Taste of The Wild Prey and we mix it up with the Pacific Stream dry dog food. The Prey formula is limited on the ingredients and the fewer ingredients, the better. TOTW has the best product out there and it is very reasonable.

For several years, our large mix-breed dog had digestive and skin issues. We tried various brands and supplements, to no avail. Eventually we tried Taste of the Wild. Within several weeks, the digestive issues cleared and within a couple months all of the skin irritations diminished and finally cleared. Our dog is now going strong at age 11. Taste of the Wild is not the least expensive brand available, but the benefits far outweigh the costs. We will feed with nothing else.

We lived in Alaska before so we fed our dogs with scraps from deer. When we got down to Texas, we didn’t have that option. We have five dogs and we wanted to feed them something that seemed better in quality so I looked it up online. Taste of The Wild had higher ratings and it was available at the feed store. We have been using it for our Wirehaired Pointing Griffon dogs for 10 years now. We use the Buffalo Venison ones and we use it for our cat too. But I would like it if TOTW had a vegetarian one because one of our dogs got heartworm resistance. She can only eat vegetarian formula and we have to buy that. That's really expensive and Royal Canin is the only one that makes it. Overall TOTW has been good for as long as we’ve used it and we’ve always had good results with our dogs.

I tried a few of the different flavors that they offer and my 80-pound Rottweiler mixed breed Australian Shepherd didn’t like much of their poultry and fish flavors. But he really likes their High Prairie Grain with Venison. He enjoys his food and it's good for his digestive system. He has firm poop with it and hasn't had any issues at all since I put him on it. With most of the other food she was eating, her stomach got real messed up and she was running to the bathroom a lot. We love Taste of the Wild for our dogs. My sister is a vet and she had recommended it to us. We have been buying it for 8 years now. It’s fairly affordable and has good quality. It’s grain-free as well. Our dogs have really long hair and TOTW keeps their hair super nice. Even though they have a history of hip dysplasia, it seems to help them with that as well. During October fires in California, we couldn’t get TOTW for maybe a month or two and it really affected their joint health. For some reason, once we got the dogs back on TOTW, that really helped again. We want to give them TOTW as long as they have teeth.

That was a little over a year ago and ever since then, Taste of the Wild has been what I've had my dog on. I recently got my mother’s dogs on Taste of The Wild too. She has two smaller dogs, a Chihuahua Mix and a Basset Hound Mix. The Chihuahua is the oldest. Scooby is three years old then my dog is a year old and Dan, the other little dog, is about a year or two. And my mom's dogs like Taste of the Wild too. I mostly get the Pacific Stream and the dogs seem to like the fish flavor better. One thing I've noticed is they're a lot more active with Taste of the Wild. I owned an Anatolian Shepherd, 8 yrs old, who I had to put down in 2017 due to liver and pancreas damage. She had been to the Vet in December 2017 and was doing great. I also have a Doberman. They ate different foods based on their individual needs. Everything happened very quickly, diarrhea, lethargy, lack of appetite, vomiting. The doctors identified pancreatitis initially and changed her food. She started getting better. I was instructed by doctors to wean her back on her normal food. She began declining again. She died within a couple of months. I offered my Doberman this same food, unknowing this may be the cause. She refused to eat it which made me research the food. During this period of time, between January and April 2017, many people feeding their dogs TOTW were having similar symptoms, some got better after food changes and others died like mine.
Because there has to be a toxicology done at the time of death to associate it to the food, I was unable to follow thru to have this batch of food recalled or checked. I feel confident the food was the contributor to my dogs' fatal illness. Up to this point, I loved TOTW. My dogs did great with it. I still have that bag of food and wish a lab could look at it. If it is the problem, whoever or wherever the ingredients came from should be looked into to make sure this is not recurring. I see in current posts that people are still experiencing some of the same issues I did. It is a PROBLEM. I recognize bad things can get into food during manufacturing but when you've got a lot of people saying very similar things the company needs to explore a bit deeper. It only takes a handful of a batch to eliminate a problem. I miss my dog and I'm angry at TOTW - Diamond for not exploring the many posts and contacts they received during this past year.

We kept trying it out and then when I moved dogs I kept with the same brand because it was something that they like. We go to a local feed store and they have it there. It's one of the less expensive ones, plus the ingredients are a factor too. We mix it up whenever we buy a bag, so he’s not always getting the same thing. So far, our dog has a good coat. He also has high energy and is pretty regular. We're using The Boar right now and he doesn’t have any skin issues. His coats are always so lush. Every time I walk him, everyone comments on how good he looks. So, TOTW seems to be okay. But Taste of the Wild is natural with no additives, which is what we are really going for. And it's also comparable price-wise to any other.
Taste of the Wild agrees with the dogs. They’re healthy, athletic, calm, cool, and collected. Their coats are awesome too. We use both the dry food and the canned food. Taste of the Wild is the only way to go with dog food if you really love your pet. It is made with real ingredients that you can pronounce, with real food that people eat, it's grain free. There are a variety of flavors to choose from, and what I did was take my dog to the store with me, she smelled them all and the one she smelled the longest was the one she got. You won't regret using Taste of the Wild dog food, keeps your dogs healthy, their coat nice and shiny and soft, and puts you at ease knowing what your dog is actually eating.

We thought he got sick from a virus but now suspect the food since seeing another complaint on this site during roughly the same time period. We will start switching foods and that should tell all. We have a full unopened bag of TOTW and afraid to use it now. He will eat anything except this food. He just threw up again after eating some of TOTW with canned food mixed in. The fact that Taste of the Wild's dog food has healthy ingredients in it made us go with them. We have three dogs and one of them is allergic to chicken. Every once in a while, other companies went back to putting chicken in their dog food, so I was looking for something that didn’t have chicken in it. We had one of our dogs on Purina and it started making her throw up. So, we put her on TOTW because our two smaller dogs were already on that and I haven’t had any problems with their diet at all. They like it and it’s a healthy thing for them, and I also feed my dogs vegetables.
I’ve suggested TOTW to other people with dogs that have problems with chicken. I hope, though, that they wouldn't put any chicken, chicken by-products or chicken fat in their dog food because if they do that, I'd have to change brands again. Also, if they would like to put out a cookie like Mother Hubbard's vegetable cookie that doesn’t have chicken fat and chicken by-products in it, that would surely be very helpful to a lot of people.

Right now, I’m feeding him the Taste of The Wild chicken flavor but I like to rotate between the bison, the chicken and the salmon. With natural ingredients, my dog gets more of the food and it’s healthier. I don’t have to worry about him eating or not eating because he enjoys TOTW and sometimes if I go on a two-week vacation, it used to be that when my daughter comes over, the dog didn’t always wanna eat. But when I started with the Taste of the Wild, I didn’t seem to have that issue. My dog just eats it. When I recommended TOTW to my son though, he found out that his dog is allergic to the chicken. I was relieved to see the review from Cristie of Wellington, FL. We are in Ormond Beach FL and ordered the food from Chewy.com. My dog has been eating Pacific Stream Taste of Wild for over 4 years no issues. Unfortunately my dog has been suffering for the past 25 days with multiple trips to the vet, multiple medications, and a lot of discomfort. He has been sick now that I look back to when he started this bag, he has had continuous stomach upset, vomiting, eating grass (can't stop), wanting to throw up and complete discomfort.
We scheduled him for an ultrasound in July to verify nothing else was wrong. We have taken away everything else and today I had the thought that I should check to see if there were any recalls on this food brand. After reading her review we have decided to immediately stop the dog food and are ordering something else. I am going to ask Taste of Wild to look at the production codes on this batch of food and look further into it so other dogs and owners do not experience the challenges. This has been a VERY costly experience and so challenging physically for our dog.

And so, for about three years now, we've been using Taste of The Wild's Pacific Stream. They're grain-free and they're the only ones that do not set off her allergies. She doesn’t tear out her skin and she’s not having yeast infections on her stomach and on her feet any longer. Taste of The Wild is more well-balanced for her and it doesn’t have junk in it. I would not recommend Taste of The Wild and the veterinarian did not recommend it, either. They should change the formula.
Thanks for the feedback. We always welcome the opportunity to set the record straight. I honestly don't know what you mean about the recipes being high in oil? It has 16% fat which is ideal. Fat in a cat's diet is essential. Just as with humans, fat provides energy or fuel and aids in the breakdown and absorption of certain fat-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin A, D, E & K. Some essential fatty acids, such as arachidonic acid, must be obtained through diet. Nonetheless I hope your cat does well on whatever you switch her to

It turned out that she’s so allergic to corn that if she eats an animal that ate corn she has a reaction.
My veterinarian recommended I bought every single different food, but he gave me specific ideas on what to try. I feel like I’ve tried 100 dog foods with her but the Pacific Stream is the only dog food that she’s been well on in her entire life. Even though a lot of other foods are corn-free or have fishes or protein source, they must not be as clean as Taste of the Wild.
Also, my dogs are all performance dogs. They all show and compete in different types of dog sports. Like most people, I use training treats. It would be great if Taste of the Wild had training treats available that I could use since I don’t really trust anybody else with what I feed my dogs. I can make my own stuff but on the days I don’t have time to make something or I can’t keep something refrigerated, it would be nice to have something from Taste of the Wild. Additionally, the price point that Taste of the Wild has on their food has been good. It's as much as I can afford to spend on dog food. When I was working at a pet store, my boss showed me Taste of the Wild and she explained that they have a very complete formula. The high-protein, no-grain has always been really important. Also, out of all the dog food, Taste of the Wild smelled better. We’ve got two dogs right now. One is a mutt that just turned five. He looks more like a Border Collie and German shepherd put together. He’s a little lower energy than you would expect, but he still likes to go for a nice, long walk. Our other dog is an Australian Kelpie. I got him when he was eight and he just turned 12 this year. He’s very low energy.
We’ve been feeding our dogs Taste of the Wild for the last three years now and I love it. I’ve moved in with my dog, the Kelpie, and my parents were using the brand right after the other dog hit about a year. They had him on chicken soup for the puppy years. We switched through all the chicken and the boar formula. We like to mix up the protein source and keep those stomachs working good. We've tried them all and our dogs' favorite right now seems to be the Prairie one, the yellow bag.
Before, my Kelpie was on regular grocery store brand so he was overweight. He was about 90 pounds and he’s a medium dog so he should not have been that way. Since we’ve had him on Taste of the Wild then working a little bit and kinda exercising, he’s at 71 pounds when we weighed him last month. My dog had such a hard time walking around and moving before, but since we’ve switched him over to Taste of the Wild then monitored his diet, his energy has improved. Taste of the Wild was recommended by a breeder and when I did my research, I found that it could be the most obvious choice for our pet. I have a three-year-old Dalmatian named Mia and she loves Taste of the Wild. I buy all their different types of dog food and she especially likes the puppy formula because it’s a little smaller. I’ve noticed that when I buy her the bigger little balls, she eats them but not as quick as she does the little ones. Taste of the Wild is a great dog food and I’m very satisfied with it.

He’s a rescue dog and we’ve had him for about five years. And then my little weiner dog is 15 years old. Even though he’s really old, he still acts like a pup. You couldn’t even tell he was old. It could be the food just because it’s really good for them. We've always stuck with the red bag because when my brother tried other bags like the salmon, my little weiner dog's stool became runny. My dogs have been on Taste of the Wild for a while, and we trust the product. It is a little bit more expensive than just the regular dog food you get at the grocery store. I had done a lot of research when I was looking for dog food and Taste of The Wild was one that I looked at. My goal was to find a food that had higher protein, fewer fillers and more natural ingredients. Since Taste of The Wild was high-quality dog food, then it's gotta be high-quality cat food as well. I owned six and we tried to make sure their hair and skin are all healthy and it seems that Taste of the Wild brand is the best for them. Mainly, the grain-free variant has always kept all my dogs' fur really nice. Our ferrets love it too. We also use the grain-free cat food. A filler is an ingredient or substance in a food that does not provide any nutrition. Very few pet foods contain fillers - it's just an old myth that dates back to dog food advertising in the 1960s and 70s. TOTW uses potatoes as the carbohydrate source. Other pet food recipes use rice or corn. You can make a pet food with just protein and fat. The body requires carbohydrates as a source of energy. I think maybe your dogs just like TOTW too much and are gaining weight. We are happy to help you customize your feedings to prevent weight gain

For starters, my dog is a 4 year old Australian Cattle Dog. When I first put my dog on TOTW Wetlands, she was fine: no itching, shiny coat, healthy as ever. I started her on the food in 2016 and had her on it for over a year, then when I purchased a new bag in February of 2017, she started having diarrhea. I didn't take her to the vet until about a week later when I noticed blood in her diarrhea. She had been on TOTW with a scoop of pumpkin and a probiotic just in case someone thinks this is a bacterial imbalance. When I took her to the vet, he prescribed ** which I gave her and the diarrhea cleared up in about a week, but as soon as the antibiotic was done, the diarrhea came back worse than ever and it lasted from February 2017 until April 2017.
During this time, the vet did an abundance of tests: blood work, protein electrophoresis, stool tests, xrays, etc because he was worried that it could have been some sort of cancer. These tests cost me over $1,000. At this point switched my dog to Hill I/D and she improved only slightly. The vet told me I should do an ultrasound, but I couldn't afford much more so I switched my dog to hydrolyzed protein food and the diarrhea cleared up within a week. I have since been able to get her back onto food with non hydrolyzed proteins, specifically ACANA grasslands. She has had no issues whatsoever with any other foods, and I am almost 100% certain that that new bag of TOTW is what caused all of it. Pretty disappointing as a lot of people talked very highly of TOTW, and now I've been seeing more and more of the same types of reviews.
I'm glad to hear your cattle dog is doing well. It sounds like she has a food hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients in Wetlands. The Acana you are feeding her has duck like Wetlands has, but does not have fish or chicken. I imagine it is either one or both of those. I'm glad your veterinarian figured out it was a food allergy and got her on the hydrolyzed protein, so her immune system would stop having the reaction. If you ever switch from Acana, please make sure the food does not have chicken or fish

And I put some of this dog food in a Ziploc bag and send it with them, and they swap them over to whatever. However, recently I had a litter of puppies here that I was feeding with Taste of The Wild like I always do, and their poots were really bad. So, I dewormed them and I gave them Albon.
My brother and his wife were looking after the puppies and they woke up one morning and found one of them was dead. You certainly can't buy a better meal plan for your pet. I also compared purchasing online. Chewy.com was more expensive than our local retail the Valley Park Elevator Supply. I am very grateful.

I've been using Taste of The Wild for my English Bulldogs for the last eight months. The girl is two and the baby -- the boy is nine months. Our breeder told us to try it. A lot of times, we had to switch the type for the baby. He was allergic to Angus and started to lose his hair so we changed to bison and we haven't had any issues since then. Taste of the Wild is good food. The dogs really like it so that’s always a plus.

I have a Border Collie and a Tolling Retriever. One is about 35-ish and the other is 70-ish. I give them Taste of the Wild and I buy the yellow one with the buffalo and the wolves on it. I did a research and it seemed like the higher quality that I've run across. With a better quality of food, my dogs have a better quality of life. It's no different with people. And there is well less poop to clean up, too, in comparison to a cheap dog food which has so much more junk in it so it's not getting processed and not used up.

Taste of the Wild products has been pretty good and I just bought a new bag yesterday morning. My dog, Apollo, is a 100 pounds German Shepherd and he has allergies. The grain-free food minuses grain allergy and that keeps him from scratching and sneezing. I was buying him a different dog food for $60 a bag but it would only last for three weeks so I decided to get a cheaper one that’s still grain-free. Originally, he was on Taste of the Wild Roasted Bison & Venison as his puppy food and then switched to Taste of the Wild Venison & Legumes as his adult food.

For about four months, I have been using Taste of The Wild’s turkey formulation called Prey for my dog named Maybe. She’s a two-year-old Pit Bull who weighs about 65 pounds and is very healthy and active. I like the fact that there’s a long list of natural ingredients in the food and it’s grain-free. I wanted to make sure that she stayed grain-free because she has allergies to grain and those allergies have diminished a little bit.

We have used this food for our 4 boxers for years now and we used to rave about it and recommend it to anyone we came across. Our older female recently started having stomach issues and eating her own feces for the first time ever in her life. I was very upset to learn that this product now has chicken meal as its 3rd ingredient. Our boxer is allergic to chicken so now it all makes sense. I really wish I had known about this change, I could have avoided a lot of issues with our dog. I have seen a response on this page that supposedly it always had this in the food according to them but I know the first thing I did when researching grain free foods a few years ago was check for chicken. I suspect it may have been way down the ingredient list and since increased in quantity. I can say for sure something about this food has changed and my dog can no longer eat it. We have since switched with no issues anymore.
I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your one boxer. Which formulation of TOTW were you feeding? You did not switch the formulations up, just fed the one?

My German Shepherd is eight and I put him on Taste of the Wild when he was about a year old. Then my cat has been on it for almost a year as well. Taste of the Wild is pretty much the only grain-free that I can afford that I feel is decent. I was doing the original Taste of The Wild and then I saw the limit of the ingredients. So I switched both of them to the one with certain ingredients and less fillers. However, I had gone a couple of bags of the dog food over the years and it had worms in them. And trying to return it to the place where I got it from was a pain. But I like Taste of the Wild's program where I could buy many bags and get one free. As long as they keep up with that program and the quality stays good, I'll stay with it. I recommend it to people very frequently. I had a lot of people that purchased Taste of The Wild because of me.

I like the price and quality of Taste of The Wild. I also like being able to feed it for all life stages and I've been using it for about a year now. I am feeding it to five dogs total, a Red Setter, two Border Collie Australian Shepherd, a Border Collie, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I give them the same brand with different measurements for their weight. One of them weighs 40, one weighs 18, and the others weigh 60-ish. I am currently giving them the one in the yellow bag, which has Bison in it. For a month, I'd feed them that then I'd give them the other ones like the Stream. I also change the add on. It doesn't obstruct their digestive system, so I just do it.
I have had less vet bill since I started feeding them Taste of the Wild and I have recommended it to a lot of people, especially to those who have dogs with allergies. It's a great product that's worth the money and I could get my dogs to eat it without needing any extra products added to their food. My dogs all have good health as well. They are high energy dogs and it sustains them throughout the day. They only get fed once each with roughly two cups a day and they're all maintained in perfect weight. Also, my dogs all have very healthy coats and they're very shiny. I started the product about six years ago to one of my other dogs and had really good results. She had allergies and after feeding her Nutri Star, I decided to go back to Taste of The Wild.
Thank you for taking the time to post! I'm thrilled that TOTW is doing so well for all of your dogs and we appreciate the referrals

My dog is 14 years old and still very healthy and active. I started her on your product 10 years ago and she loves it. I mix dog food and cheerios together and this is her treats also. She has maintained her weight very well and she is no longer gassy. I originally bought Taste of Wild (Grain Free) because my other dog had health issues, bloated and gassy, terrible allergies causing hair loss, skin rash and itching. Within a week of eating Taste of Wild the bloating disappeared, her skin began to clear up and within a few months her hair grew back also so I put both dogs on it and have been using it ever since. I highly recommend the grain free. Excellent product.

Fast-forward to now, and Allie (age 11) couldn’t be healthier or more energetic. You run into LOTS of new people at the local (dog friendly) beach, and she’s a charmer... We engage with dozens of people each week, many without dogs — they are universally amazed by this dog, and many clearly think we’re fibbing about her age. We’re not!! I call her “our 11-yr old puppy.” Most people guess her to be “2 or 3,” and while no one can totally attribute her heath or appearance to TotW, it certainly is a BIG part of the picture: Allie says TotW ROCKS ME!!!

I try not to give my cats junk food and that was what I liked about Taste of The Wild. They didn’t have junk food in there and greens weren’t the part of their menu. Cats are carnivores unlike dogs and they don’t need all that extra crap that most people stick into their cat food. I had never given my cats junk food but everything about them got really improved with Taste of the Wild. It made my cats shiny, energetic and happy. They really seemed to like the food too. But after a long while, it changed. Their fur started getting dry and overall, everything changed including their appearance and their behavior. So Taste of the Wild must’ve changed their formula. But I know other people who are still very happy with it. I would’ve been happy to stay with them because they were initially great, but now I don’t use them all the time anymore.

The dog food keeps them active, and they seem to really enjoy it. It's a good dog food brand. I have also recommended them to friends when they talked about how their dogs before were having upset stomachs with other dog foods or just they didn’t like the food and they weren’t eating like they should. I just suggested, “My dogs are on Taste of The Wild and they have all different kinds of flavors for them and you can switch without causing your dogs an upset stomach. I go between either the bison, the lamb or like the one where it had all the birds in it and it doesn’t upset the dogs’ stomach." They do get it and ever since then their dog eats it.

Once Blue Buffalo started having those horrid recalls, I pulled my Great Pyreneeses off of that completely and moved them to Taste of the Wild. I noticed a significant change in their coat when we moved them over and I used Taste of the Wild for about seven months for my two dogs. It was one that I moved over to because it is grain-free and there's a little bit less ingredients to it. They also had a couple of bags that had no chicken by-products in it and one of my dogs has a severe chicken allergy. There are the fish ones which were the ones that I was using. I'd order the Alaskan Wild off at Chewy and I was using the Pacific Stream, which was the main one that we could get them. They enjoyed Taste of the Wild.
But because there were only two flavors that one of our dogs could eat, they got bored eating those two flavors. I could get through about a bag and a half before they got bored with the flavoring then they wouldn't eat it. So, I ended up having to switch to a completely different brand of food that have five different flavors of food that have no chicken product in it whatsoever. I have to give my dogs the variety and continue switching up the flavoring of their food. And with the food that I give them now, their coats look even better and they’re not irritating their skin from when they were on Blue Buffalo. Taste of the Wild was a great one to kind of adjust them over to that which was wonderful.
I also have two cats on Taste of the Wild and I flip-flop their diet with food. So, I'd get one bag of food and I buy them the Costco brand because they like it. Then, I'd get them Taste of the Wild because they don’t have any allergies and there were a couple different flavors for them. But cats don’t nearly go through the bag of food as quickly as the dogs do. Still, Taste of the Wild is a great quality food and my cats love it. I would tell a friend that it would be good for their pets but with Great Pyreneeses, I know for a fact that a lot of them have an allergy to chicken in general. So, if I’m talking to a breeder of Great Pyreneeses and Akbashes, I’m not gonna tell him to use Taste of the Wild because there isn’t as much of a variety of it. But I’m on a bunch of websites that have Great Pyreneeses and Akbash owners, as well as for cats, and they use Taste of the Wild.

I have been using Taste of The Wild for my dog for about four years now. I have a Lab-Shepherd mix. We found out that she got a wheat allergy so we started sampling different grains for dog foods and the salmon flavored Taste of The Wild was her favorite. I also have certified therapy dogs and a half Biewer mix and I feed them salmon formula as well.
When we went to get Daisy, the half Biewer mix, from the same rescue as we did with Chloe, the Lab-Shepherd mix, they knew immediately that Chloe was on a grain-free diet and they said that they could tell by the way her coat shines. I was quite amazed that they knew that immediately. We feed our cats Taste of The Wild now, too. They aren't that particular on what flavor but you can tell the difference in how soft their fur are since we switched them over to it. I've had a fantastic experience with Taste of the Wild. When we first got our cat from the shelter, it was so finicky. I found only one cat food it would eat, which was Evo, and we stayed with that. However it's been discontinued so I changed over to TOTW after it was suggested by my local store. I did a slow mix from the old one to the TOTW one so my cat wouldn't freak out and it abandoned the old one entirely and only ate the TOTW one. I was delighted to find something that my cat would consume so readily. We've been using TOTW for two months now and we're using the turkey variant. If you have a finicky animal, Taste of the Wild is a good choice.
