    I have been shopping at Petsmart for a long time... probably in excess of 12 years. I belong to their Pet Perks rewards which offer you some incredibly good deals. I shop in-store about once every 10 days and online once every couple of months. I also have used their buy online pick up in store on 3-4 occasions. It's always ready and they get the order right. Their customer service is first rate and you are always greeted with a smile. They have a wide selection of brands and some really good sales if you keep your eyes open... especially with the Pet Perks rewards. And they make holidays fun! They always have special items for me to "gift" my pets with during the holiday season. Even though they hate wearing antlers and Santa hats!

    The staff always asks if I need help on finding something or in carrying out items to the car. The store is well-organized and clean. It's pleasant and I tend to browse and buy more than I intended.

    The Grooming Section is questionable. I took my West Hyland there for nail clipping, that is front and back paws. One groomer held him while the other trimmed his nails - ok very good. I brought him back for the works. Another gal gave him a bath, then she started to work on his hair. Obviously he did not like how she handled him as she nipped his chest twice with the cutter and he ended up with two bald spots. Shortly after that, and half a haircut, I got a call to pick him up as he was hard to handle. I told him he was a bad boy.

    When I got him at home I saw two bald spots on his chests. One of the gals at the store told me I should go to see my Vet. Needless I did not pay and walked out. The dog looked like a mess. I called the manager and she was sympathetic but did not offer to help me. I called my Vet's groomer and she saved the day. He looked like a Westie again but more expensive price. On a positive note, this time I took some treats with me and he was fine and also he gave her some kisses.

    I needed a good grain free venison food for my dog. PetSmart salesperson was very informative. He asked questions about the dog, my problems, etc. I found a good low fat venison potato dry food that is working out well for him.

    PetSmart caters both to cats and dogs,etc. and is the only store that has multiple product for cats!!!! All others have small Small supplies for cats!!!! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

    Wish PetsMart sold Victor dog food. It's what we feed our Golden. Buy most of our other pet products at PetsMart such as kennel, toys, treats, etc.

    I set an appointment up for my Shih Tzu Bella to get bathed and groomed. When I went to drop her off she was nervous and shaking. But two and a half hours later I receive a call from PetSmart saying that she wasn't able to groom her because she kept moving her leg every time she would go to cut her, and that she was shaking and scared.

    Now I'm confused because they are professionals, I've done this myself and had people asking me where I got her cut, I only brought her there because she had so many knots that I couldn't get out. I got her back and her hair was choppy, and they left her head filled with hair, but the lady on the phone told me she was able to get her face, but I'm looking at her now and I don't see much of a difference, which to me shows that it was a lie. I am very dissatisfied with the results because this is the second or third time I've brought her to this location and they said the same thing the last time. When I went in there I saw plenty of dogs in there that were on the table nervous and scared. I can say they did not charge me, and that is the only thing that I appreciate.

    Good service, but the quality is so so. Why any pet store would want to sell food that is harmful to pets is not very pet friendly. I used to buy my pet food at this store, but I found the same pet food at another store for $15 per bag less.

    Wonderful store to shop in and excellent and helpful associates. Usually has everything I want. Sometimes I work there along with others and we are always treated well (demos). The only drawback is the animal visitors who sometimes misbehave. (or perhaps I should put the blame where it belongs on their humans who may not clean up after them). Products are sometimes expensive. Associates are very knowable about what they are selling.

    We shop most of our pet supplies at PetSmart. We especially like the pet groomer Javier who has taken care of our Smokey! Prices are decent but shipping is a little higher than most others.

    PetSmart is one of several pet stores that I shop at for my pets. They are not the # 1 store I go for my pet's needs (local stores come 1st), but I know I can get some basics & they do have a large variety. Mostly I LOVE PetSmart because of their pet adoptions. Biased to them as I found one of our beloved dogs at PetSmart. Would give higher rating if less products were made in the USA & not China. This mainly because of previously known problems with products made in China that have been harmful & sometimes deadly to our pets.

    Overall PetSmart has a great selection of food and anything else you need for your pet. The food I purchase there is a bit expensive but it is healthier than the less expensive brands available elsewhere. Their grooming services are comparably priced but the final job is not as good as another place just as close by. Compare the ads!

    I have an African grey parrot and a conure. The selection of items for birds is poor and the quality of what is available is very poor. Particularly I have had problems with old seed that is infested with Egyptian Seed Moths and have been fighting blooms of moths that came into my house with PetSmart parrot feed. It is very much like having a dog groomed at PetSmart bring fleas back home with him --- except that parrots are so sensitive to environmental toxins that I cannot use the more effective treatments.

    Anytime I visit Petsmart, if I have a question the employees are always very helpful to answer them and help me find any of the products that I need. The store is always very clean and neat. I have a Petsmart that is in a very good location and not far for me to travel to.

    I've been a PetSmart shopper for over 12 years now and never had a bad experience like I'm currently having. I will never order anything online from this store again. I ordered $47 worth of merchandise on 11/24/17. It's been pending in my account since 11/24/17. I called yesterday and spoke with a guy that told me 2 of the items had shipped and the rest were on back order. So today 11/29/17 I have a $24 pending charge from PetSmart. I called and spoke with another guy that couldn't tell me anything more than what I knew already. So basically there's over $60 in my account tied up with PetSmart when I didn't spend that much to begin with! Don't plan on shopping there anymore.

    My nearest PetSmart is filthy and my dog who has never had an indoor accident thinks he's outside and marks his territory. Unfortunately I signed up with Banfield vet and they made me clean up my dog's pee. I feel my dog will catch a disease and will not renew next year.

    I like the large bags of dog food at Petsmart. However, we have multiple cats and it would be nice to be able to find larger sizes of the cat food we use. Also, Petsmart doesn't have a good variety of rabbit items, making us go to another store for our pet rabbit.

    Probably the best of the large box pet stores. Better prices than the rest of the pet type only stores and more complete in inventory as well services. Almost the only place outside of veterinary offices to purchase prescription pet foods. PetSmart does not carry prescription foods. Most PetSmart stores have in house pet adoption as well.

    PetSmart generally has a wide selection of all types of food but the prices are a bit high compared to Target and Walmart and especially Meijer, but those stores have a limited selection. PetSmart prices are A LOT lower than their competitors-PSP and Petco which have ridiculously inflated pricing. I find the most annoying point of PetSmart is their online ordering for in-store pickup. Perhaps it is only in my county in Michigan, but the stores in this area simply cannot get their act together when an online order is placed for pickup at the store. Another negative is having to request the online price when shopping in the store, where the prices are as much as 15% higher.

    Overall the store is great. I can use coupon and they price match other stores and chewy.com. Customer service is ok too. But most of the managers look annoyed or give me the one word answer. I'm a self-sustained shopper so I deal with it.

    I love going to PetSmart for products for my dogs. Their selection is very good. I also love that they email coupons to me for discounts and free products. They do have good sales too. However, sometimes their sales are quite confusing for people, as the coupons are not clear as to what you are getting for free with the purchase of something else. Overall, though a great store.

    Very simple. The staff that works at my local PetSmart really seem to care about the animals they train, trim or bathe like my 7 year old Border Collie that is a rescue animal. His first trip to PetSmart for a bath he was afraid but the staff calmed him down and now when I take him for a bath and trim, it an "event" he looks forward to!

    I like the order online and pick up in the store. There are usually discounts. Customer Service is fine when store is not crowded. You have to wait for someone to get your pick up order and sometimes it takes 5 minutes or more. So I pick up on a week day.

    I placed an order that was a Black Friday deal, order was received and two days later cancelled due to inventory. I went to the store, I placed the order, I saw pallets and pallets of the cat litter I ordered. I was confident that the order would be filled or I would have just bought it then. I shop this store quite often, have placed online orders from this store, and have adopted from this store. I am upset because my order was cancelled due to inventory but you are running the same sale today on Cyber Monday. Can someone explain this to me, cancelled my order last night, but this morning you have the litter???? Guess there is a Litter Fairy!!!

    The store in WLA is very large with a vet and a pet hotel. I really enjoy the vast selection of toys, food and home goods. Problems though with booking online-- they never emailed back an acknowledgment within 48 hrs, as they said they would. Calling in, I was able to book the boarding.

    The manager of this store, and employees give excellent customer service. They helped me get the right kennel; food, etc. the same day I adopted my 2 year old dog from the Jacksonville Humane Society. It would be helpful to pet owners if the toys for their pets were more affordable. It would be nice to have a PetSmart pet hotel in my area called the Westside of Jacksonville.

    Pet Smart is not consistent in the products they provide. They change their dog food lines so I always have to change my dogs food almost every time. And of course the food is always higher in price. I am always looking for the previous dog food at other stores or now online.

    One thing that I especially like is their self service pet wash. It is a raised enclosure that saves my back as compared to doing it at home. They supply the shampoo and towels and it saves the mess at home. Also if you buy the multi wash card, it only costs $5.00 a time. Well worth it.

    Their people are the best part. They are friendly and helpful, and they love pets. They seem very knowledgeable about dog breeds, and they are always willing to learn. But their Grooming service ranges from good to not so much, depending on the groomer, and the breed. They are in the upper third for grooming cost as well.

    WARNING: Negligent Groomers!!! After a recent visit to the grooming salon, my 8 lb Yorkie returned urinating blood. The MEAC vet determined suspicion of trauma, due to all of his lab results coming back normal for any other potential causes like an infection. While the store manager has been polite, she states the groomers won't admit fault and therefore not much can be done.

    I expect reimbursement for the nearly $500 vet bill I incurred due to their negligence, but I feel like they're giving me the runaround. The day of the incident and since then, the Banfield clinic onsite refused to see my dog stating they were booked. They didn't even take into consideration he was injured onsite at their store! Furthermore, it's now been 3 days since I called PetSmart headquarters to make an expedited complaint, and still no response. I am completely disgusted with the lack of concern I've experienced at this store, and I have filed a dispute with the BBB. If you love your pet, DO NOT have them groomed here.

    For a chain pet store, better than Petco. Seems little more professional and products. Also, have a Banfield hospital and dog day care and boarding which I have not used because concerned quality of employees hired for boarding. The bottom line is what is important to big pet companies.

    I like PetSmart and shop there for both dog and cat food and other dog and cat supplies. They have a good promotion of buy 10 get one free for many brands of dry food for dogs and cats; however, other items are on the expensive side. I can purchase the same items for far less on a website with free shipping with a dollar amount order which isn't that high when I stock up. Store is well organized and the staff are helpful. I can't always find what I want, but the staff will order specifically some items at request, which they have done. Good store overall.

    I frequently visit this store for both food for my Cockatiel and Dog as well as other supplies. First time using the grooming service and the staff were all friendly, helpful and courteous. I like that they continue to offer a good selection of bird toys and supplies in store since other brick and mortar stores have moved bird supplies to online sales only, they continue to be a great source to satisfy the needs of us bird lovers.

    Host cat and dog adoption agencies routinely and don't sell these pets. Started offering raw food option. For every bag of food bought, any brand, donate a bag. Groomers are good, my only complaint is that they won't cut out mats rather than brush them out without an extra charge.

    They have a good selection. Prices are a bit high, however, store is clean and organized. Not a lot of help on the floor itself, usually have to walk around to find someone if you have a question, but otherwise it's fine. One thing they should do - because they have a customer program - Pet Perks. There should be some reason for it for the customer. I have never received a discount or coupons or anything for allowing them to record my purchases, which they use for marketing.

    We shop at the Chad Dr. PetSmart most of the time. The staff there are kind and caring for your pet. I like being able to bring my own dogs in as it feels like they are having some say in the treats and toys we pick. They carry the vast majority of top named brands, a good selection of grain free, and a wide variety of primary meat foods in both kibble and soft. It can be a bit crowded and overwhelming at the weekend when they hold their adoption days so we prefer going during the week. Though the parking lot is large, there are not many convenient spaces in front of the store. People occasionally forget to clean up after their pets and feces accumulates where people walk and it gets messy.

    I have shopped at PetSmart for years. The staff has always been helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They always stocked the dog food I used at prices that were reasonable. The staff always helped me load my purchases in my car which was much appreciated as I usually purchased several cases of canned food as well as large bags of kibble each time.     I have been a customer of PetSmart for years. Whether for my dogs or when I had my aquarium. Pretty much anything I needed I could find here. Prices have gone up in past few years and that's to be expected. Employees are for most part friendly and helpful. That means a lot to me. I want to feel welcomed and not like I'm an intruder. As long as I need pet products PetSmart will be my go to store.

    There are so many products that you could be there days just reading labels. So, make sure you research what you are looking for at home before going into a store.

    Petsmart store in Airport Plaza, Farmingdale is great and friendly atmosphere although selection of merchandise is very limited. Many pet stores are pet cemeteries, and I prefer to web purchase.

    I went to PetSmart to get some hamsters so I got 2 Chinese dwarf hamsters. They were very Boring. They stayed in their little hut mostly. Only came out once in a blue moon so I returned them for some more active more sweeter hamsters so I got 2 baby fancy black bear hamsters that are brothers. Come to find out the staff lied to me telling me they have been tamed, handled there, very sweet. That was bull poo. They’re very hyper. They bite very hard. I have been trying to get to know me and my scent but it's no go so I'm going to return them to get a refund. Another thing about PetSmart their prices are very night. I went to go get some bedding for the little guys and looked to see how much it was and I put it back. 20.00. I can get a better deal for the same brand at Petco. I'm not going back to PetSmart ever again???

    Quite simply, you have people employed "playing store". Polite is the best I can say but not very knowledgeable and the pricing is way out of line. The store appears busy (successful?) at times in spite of itself. The layout of the store is strange for dry dog foods. Their online offering is ancient. And again for emphasis, the pricing isn't competitive. I have bought from Chewy.com and now Pet Smart has acquired this company. I can only imagine the changes. So we shall see and if ruin like Pet Smart, back to Amazon.

    I have a Bichon puppy. I went to many stores looking for his whitening shampoo and none of the large retail stores seemed to carry that item. They all had standard shampoos and conditioners but not with a whitening factor. So I decided to go to PetSmart and look. They had what I wanted and a selection of different types, which I did not know were available. There were a varied of prices as well and they did not seem to be THAT much higher than the big stores. The clerk helped me find them and recommended one based on the age of my dog. I guess some are stronger than others. All and all it was a positive experience.

    I do like PetSmart. They have quality merchandise however the cost on Some of the merchandise is a bit too expensive for my liking. Those items I steer away from. I am on a fixed income so I do not purchase everything I would like for my pets at this store even though I would like to.

    So this is a first for me- switching to buying pet food from Amazon, would love to share this excuse with Amazon and see what their response would have been. I bought Wellness Core kitten food on PetSmart.com (have done so multiple times). I received Wellness Core Pate (different product and less expensive). My receipt reflected I paid for Wellness Core- in price and barcode. The Wellness Core Pate that I received did not have the same barcode as what I had on my receipt. Customer Service then tells me that I can return the Pate (at a PetSmart store, closest being 1 hr away from me- hence the home delivery) for the Pate price (which would be lower refund than what I paid). I threw up a fuss about that- is it ridiculous to expect a refund in the amount that I paid for receiving something that I didn't order?

    Then about a week later I get an email that they did an investigation into the matter- and they said, "After further research, we are able to confirm that the product you received is correct however the description on our website is incorrect. The product may have recently been updated by the manufacturer." So beware, essentially you may believe you are purchasing a product because the name of it, the description of it, the bar code- everything- indicates it's product A, but they can come back and say everything on their website and your receipt for that product was wrong. Crazy. Not sure how that can be legal to falsely identify a product- can't trust that I'll actually receive what I purchase on their website now and that I'll receive an appropriate response from customer service if they send me the incorrect item.

    PetSmart Customer Sevice in Brea, California is awesome! They are always willing to help in any way especially if there is a problem with pricing! I ordered Pill Pockets online to pick up at this location and was short 1 bag which was buy one, get one 50% off. The manager went in the back to recheck for me, found more and corrected the receipt by crediting my account! If there were not anymore, he would have still credited me!

    I used to shop at Wal-Mart. In years past I switched over to PetSmart because of their wide selection. I do say they certainly keep their store spotless. You would think that would be difficult.     All live animal sales need to be stopped, including reptiles, birds, rodents, and fish. PetSmart is unable to provide adequate, species specific care or source from responsible domestic breeders.     We have use many PetSmart locations for our 7-year-old boxer for boarding and day camp since she was 10 weeks old. We moved to PA last year and started using the Willow Grove location. A few months ago we boarded Zoey and she was attacked by another dog who tore her ear. At the time, PetSmart sought care for the wound and called us. We were assured that they addressed the issue, Zoey was not the cause of and she is a great guest. This has ALWAYS been the feedback as she is a very well-behaved dog with no behavior problems.

    I called today to schedule a boarding for her during the upcoming holiday and was told that they wouldn't allow her to do group play. When I asked why they tried to say that she didn't play well with the other dogs and had to be "removed". This is a flat-out lie. There is only one time that she was ever given a "time out" for being excited. All other reports were that she played well with others and was pleasant. I cannot believe that because this location had to pay for her care because another dog attacked her that they are punishing our dog from group play and actually lying about any prior incidents. It is absolutely disgusting and we will be taking our business elsewhere.

    The layout of the store is pretty good. Their selection of some items seems limited or doesn't cater to little dogs as much as I would like. Despite it being a pet friendly store it is kept clean. Their pet boarding has never been an issue other than it seems pretty pricey.

    I bought the puppy coupon book and went to get the free bath for my puppy, first the lady offered a deodorizing shampoo and didn't tell me that it was $20 extra. But my main concern was that when I went to pick up the dog a little early the lady had the dog on the table and the dog fell twice and was hanging by the neck. She took forever to put him up on the table because she was talking to the other employees. My puppy started shaking so bad after that, whining and probably in pain from hanging from his neck (GSD 4+ months old, 46 pounds). I'm sharing this so people become aware. I would never use this service again.

    When we first got our rescue Basset/Shepherd we looked at PetSmart and PetCo for supplies. I found that Petsmart had a larger selection of everything and a more lively business. We find what we need in PetSmart. We have been going there ever since for supplies and regular grooming. Although there is always a huge turn-over in groomers, they all seem to really care about the animals and take special precaution with our pet who is now blind.

    Store staff always very helpful. Store is clean with lots of quality items but prices are a little on the high side for lower quality items. I find a lot of waste in regards to ripped bags of food or food that is about to expire. It would be more profitable to offer a larger discount on these items or at least donate to a local humane society, I'm sure they could use it.

    PetSmart is the only 'pet' store we have in this town. And per the norm, they have things priced for the area since they are the only store. The dog food I prefer, Hill's Science Diet, has been pushed to the very back aisle and now the selection is gone. They have discontinued carrying a lot of this dog food. Plus they have raised the price by over $15 dollars a bag or more. The people have always been very polite and helpful.

    This grooming staff are generally very friendly and fees are reasonable. My animals are happy to enter and happy when I pick them up. I trust them. The stores is well-stocked with items they do carry which are only mainstream brands that are not of the quality I like to feed my animals. Perhaps they want to consider increasing the natural health and no grain products that the majority of pet owners prefer. Also their prices on pet foods, in general, is grossly overpriced. But their toys and other items seem competitive and they do have a good selection.

    I shop (not anymore) at PetSmart on a daily basis for pet food because I have 16 animals. For my anniversary my husband decided to buy me a chinchilla since I have wanted one for so long. He decided we should go get the ones that were at PetSmart for so long and give them a good home. From day 1 the 2 chinchillas showed different personalities, but I fell in love with them. Well here is day 16 and I wake up and Peanut is laying there deceased. Out of nowhere. He was out playing yesterday. I called PetSmart and found out that there is only a 14 day animal return/guarantee. Well so not only is my heart broke and my Chewy alone... I am out of 150 bucks for an animal to live 16 days. I called and spoke with the manager since they see me every day and know how I am with my pets and got told well 2 days too late. Worst customer service and policies ever!!! DO NOT BUY ANIMALS from these heartless, bad service, thieves…

    There doesn't seem to be enough caring staff to look after the little kittens in the crates and they are poked with toys and fingers from children whose parents are not watching them. It's terrible and some of these kittens are waiting for medical care because they are sick. They shouldn't be out front in the cages and I spoke to the manager about this and wasn't real thrilled with his answer.

    Staff have always been very helpful, and knowledgeable, for the most part. I shop their sales, and they are sometimes very good. They carry cheap and very good brands. I like Simply Nourish dry food for my cats because the Chicken and Turkey has 40% protein, and it regularly goes on sale. The cats like it also.

    My PetSmart carries a wide variety of products and my Lagotto Ramagnolo loves to go in there. There are so many smells that keep him wandering the store. Also, we use the grooming center and the groomers have done a fantastic job with Sonny's hair. Love my PetSmart BUT it does not have a pharmacy and I think my store is really missing out on an opportunity for this area.

    I have taken my dog to PetSmart groomers for almost 3 years, however, I will not be returning after our most recent visit. My dog is a 3 year old Doberman, and she has never had any issues with the regular groomer she would see at PetSmart. Recently, there has been a lot of turnover, and her regular groomer no longer works with the company. I scheduled with a groomer she had seen a few times, and this time after a few hours, the groomer called to say she was ready to be picked up. While on the phone, she told me my dog had a bump on the top of her head, but that she was not sure where it came from. She said to me that it was maybe from bumping her head on the kennel, or a bug bite because "it just appeared".

    My husband picked her up, and was told the same thing by the groomer - that she had either bumped her head or that it was possibly a bug bite. However, because of the size of the bump - it looked like a large egg on her head - he said it certainly was not a bug bite, and the groomer just said she must have bumped her head.

    The following day, my dog began exhibiting very alarming behavior - she could not stand up for long, walk straight, and did not want to get up once she laid down. She was unresponsive to being called and had trouble squatting to go to the bathroom; it was very clear she was disoriented, dizzy, and could not keep her balance. I immediately took her to the vet where she was checked over thoroughly, and although she luckily did not display any signs of severe neurological damage, she was certainly portraying symptoms of a concussion and head injury. From the symptoms and the size of the lump on top of her head, the vet thought that the only logical explanation was some sort of severe blow to the head. Dogs have very hard heads, and this type of injury with symptoms like she had does not come from a dog simply bumping their head on something hard, or even from a dog running into anything while running.

    We spoke to PetSmart store and grooming managers, who said they spoke to the groomer she had been scheduled with (they have yet to talk to other people working at the time over a week later) and that she first stated my dog "ran into a pole", and then that "she didn't see her hit anything". A dog would not hit a pole while running with the top of their head - they do not run with their heads down. So, it went from a bug bite, to hitting the kennel, to running into a pole, to she wasn't sure and didn't see what happened.

    It is clear from the changing story, and after 3 visits to the vet and a week long recovery, and the vet's professional opinion of the symptoms and injury that this was not the result of my dog running into something - she was likely struck by someone with a very hard object. Unfortunately, PetSmart managers and the store do not seem all that interested in really finding out what happened during my dog's visit or uncovering malicious behavior that goes on in their grooming department. When my dog was picked up that day, another groomer commented to my husband that our dog was "very barky and vocal" - well, she is a dog, and they do bark, especially when a dozen other dogs are barking around them and they are in a kennel. All groomers have said that at each visit my dog is very sweet, and she has never displayed aggressive behavior.

    From her injury, this comment from the employee, and the changing stories, I believe that she may have been struck for barking while in the back waiting to be picked up or while being put in the kennel. We will unfortunately never know the truth as we have been told this store has no cameras in the grooming section. Needless to say I will never return to a PetSmart store or groomer, and I will no longer recommend them to any pet owner after the incident and lack of interest in management to make it right or uncover the truth.

    I have a miniature Yorkie that weighs 5lbs. She in very good health and I have her on the Bakersfield medical plan. I took her to PetSmart in Jacksonville, FL. At Duval Station for grooming after dropping her off I received a call three hrs later that she passed out and was rush over to the in-store vet. I raced over there and the vet said she would have died if they weren't there to provide her with oxygen. I demanded to see her and when I did she was fine. The vet said her tongue was purple and after giving her oxygen it turned back pink. This tell me her oxygen supply was cut off, I assume by a tight leash around her neck during grooming but obviously they won't admit that.

    The fact that she was fine before I took her there and she's been fine since I picked her up but suddenly past out at the groomer and suddenly needed oxygen tells me the groomer mistreated her. After sending a email the corporate office we received a call from the general manager who said he would look into the matter and get back with us. The following day he called and said he checked with the vet and they said she was fine and ask what we would to happen. Our response was to correct the issue with the groomer, he replied he had no proof to pursue it. So I ask if she was fine when I took her in then she suddenly passes out and needs oxygen, and then is fine again, then what happen.

    She has been there plenty of times for grooming before and didn't have this issue. However they did shave her nearly bald before and that was a whole other issue that we filed a complaint on. We assumed it was just a bad groomer and continued to take her there. That will never happen again. Her grooming now will be done by a mobile groomer at my home where I can watch her. The grooming wasn't complete so I don't have a receipt number. But I assure you they won't forget me. My dog's name is Cloey.

    At PetSmart in Salem Oregon, the cashiers were very unprofessional leaving me (the customer) in the back waiting for someone to help me when there were at least 3 people working at the counter talking to another person who also works there but was off duty. The problem was they didn’t help me for standing around talking to each other. Manager included. Then I had to stand in line to wait my turn while they opened up another register take care of the employee who was there talking to them in the first place. My problem is that I shouldn’t have to wait around until they finish visiting to get taken care of. I never write reviews but today I felt like I was being ignored by the staff.

    Tried to buy a saline solution for my puppy who was very sick and was told I have to see the vet they are now partnered with. I can understand this with certain items but Kat at West Knoxville by mall was very disrespectful and they all gathered at the phone in almost a blood frenzy to be disrespectful.     This is the second time that we've used PetSmart for grooming services. The first time, I was called and asked you pick up my pooch because he was too nervous to be groomed. Today, when we picked him up, we were told that if any other Groomer was to cut him, that they'd refuse to because he doesn't stand up! What? But if we requested the Groomer that gave him his grooming today, she would do it because he's such a cute and sweet dog (he's a 6-lb pomeranian). When we got home and was able to love on him, we saw what a "shotty" job that was done! He was suppose to be cut with a 1/2" blade all over, but we found so many places on him that was not cut or not cut to 1/2". Then, where they used Scissors, you can see that - not very well blended. Totally upset with this store!

    Today, on a recommendation, we took our dog to PetSmart groomers. When we arrived we specifically told the groomers EXACTLY what we wanted done. Specifically HOW to cut the dog's fur. The employees stopped chatting with each other long enough to take the order and immediately started to try to upsell services. When we picked the dog up, it had been sheared like a sheep. When I complained they lied and stated, “That is what your wife asked us to do.” When I explained that was not true, I could hear laughing in the background. I am posting this here. I will get my money back and I will also report them to every agency possible. With all the complaints they have received there needs to be a regulatory agency that shuts the grooming portion of the store down. That is my goal.

    If I could give no stars I would have. The grooming department is full of inexperienced and unprofessional staff. Unfortunately don't know how to handle a nervous dog. A Lab rescue who lives with 3 tiny Shih Tzu who has NEVER shown any sign of aggression was labeled aggressive and turned away with no services rendered. Took him home and bathed him myself and saved myself the $$. Never again.

    We have been shopping and using the grooming service for our dog Buster for years. Buster had cancer and had to get many treatments, however is doing well now. Buster had to stop vaccines because of his cancer. We took Buster up to PetSmart to get his nails clipped, the employee and manager would not accept him because he was past due in his vaccines for a month. When I had explained to them he could not have them because of his cancer. I also offered to have them call the vet or confirm the blood test, which is something that is acceptable by boarding and grooming when vaccines cannot be done due to health risks. They were very rude and unprofessional.

    I buy only cat food and it's always a disappointment that the items I am looking for are either no longer available in the store where I shop or they're always out of that item. The cat supplies are limited while dog supplies will take up two aisles. PetSmart discriminates against cat owners by having 75% dog items over the small percentage of other animals. They make the assumption that there are more dog owners than cat owners. Many dog owners also have cats. The "pickings are slim" forcing me to go to a grocery store. I can find cat food cheaper in the grocery store than at PetSmart and items that they are always out of. Customer service is of little help because they don't know if the item has been discontinued or if the store isn't supplying that item anymore. I guess I can't expect them to know those details.

    PetSmart is a long drive from where I live and I expect to see the same products I use to be on the shelves as they have been for years. Lately I have been finding that the items I am looking for are no longer being stocked so my trips are more infrequent. I'm thinking about ordering online from another company because PetSmart no longer suits me and the prices are expensive even when on sale. PetSmart isn't as good as it used to be and isn't worth the trip. I find better deals in the grocery store even though the variety of items is limited. I'm thinking of going with Chewy.com instead and give them a try.

    Nasty and filthy. Floor looks like it's every been even swept. When I inquired as to why the store was so dirty, an employee who was just standing around stated, "They won't hire anyone to clean." Really? I mean, I could personally go in there and push a broom around for about an hour and do wonders. I called the store and asked for the manager. I got the same response from him. He stated, "We're working on hiring a cleaning crew." Wake up. You need to clean the floor EVERY day. If you value your pet's health, don't dare take them into this filthy place. I spoke also with an employee at Banfield (vet inside PetSmart). She said, "Yeah, there was dog poop on the floor for 3 days and I had to clean it myself." I mean, if you work at a pet store, you should expect to have to clean up some poop every once in a while? Get your employees off their behinds and put them to work.

    PetSmart carries a good variety of pets product. Their pricing are comparatively cheaper than Petco. They have a good return policy and they do honor them. The staff knowledge on pet product, depends on who you speak with, is overall adequate. The store also has price match with their PetSmart online product. They do offer specials and coupons often that saves money. The store is clean and organized. The staff are friendly. A good social ground for a short outings with your pet.

    PetSmart is another box store, which does not have competitive pricing of goods. The only positive thing about PetSmart is the veterinary service offered through Banfield. They get 5 stars. The grooming services are okay. Online, specials and sale items often have exceptions with are printed in a tiny font at the bottom of the page, often in nearly the same color as the rest of the page and very difficult to read. One doesn't realize that one is not getting the 'sale' price until checkout.

    PetSmart sells fairly common pet supplies at premium prices. The stores are clean and staff is sometimes helpful. I received special discount coupons by email. Spot sales are preceded by a price hike, sometimes double the routine price for a sale of 15-25% off and last only the day received. Strange business practice. My dog needed food so I went to local PetSmart and was shocked to discover 6 lb. bags of food had been jacked from 8.99 to 14.99 and in fact, the 6 lb. bag was now officially a 5 lb. bag. I won't be shopping there again. They also don't have quality dog diapers. The kind they sell are double the price of Canadian manufacture and quality is incredibly poor that pads are sold along with the product because they know the diapers are too thin. Crazy.

    When I called customer service, they were of no help. 1st person I spoke with didn't even ask my name. 2nd person (a supervisor) said it was my bank's responsibility to release hold on funds, even though I had not purchased anything, because card did not go through 3 times. Because of poor customer service I wanted to cancel the order that went through on my other card. They said they could not. I will not do business with them again.     I made a reservation for my cat to stay in the hotel located in Chicago on Canal street. I was going out of town and wanted to ensure she was taken of and given her thyroid medication. I expected her to be a little withdrawn as she was in an unfamiliar place. I dropped her off April 19th 2017. I called every day several times a day to check on her. They are poor at record keeping, I was told she hadn't had a bowel movement in days, that was a lie. My sister went to see Roxxie and witnesses her doing it, and informed the worker, however it was not recorded.

    I left specific directions on feeding her food and treats, she's a long hair cat and gets hairball treats every day, needless to write they didn't feed her as instructed because it was 4 cans of food left when I left enough for every day! I asked that a pillowcase that had my scent and her toy NOT be removed from the cage, well it was not in cage when I picked her up, her toy was missing also. I was told the pillowcase was being washed. Her toy was mixed with other items on the outside of her cage. I brought my cats bowels from home. She has a raised feeder, when I picked her up the bowels were replaced with DOG bowels!

    Let's go to the day I was scheduled to pick her up the 24th. She was due to get a hygiene cut that afternoon. I got a call while in PT, the worker said "I don't want to upset you but Roxxie had a little accident on herself." I asked what happened he said he didn't know exactly but the lady bringing her from the groomer back to her cage noticed the smell. I left physical therapy to get my baby!! I arrive and ask for a supervisor. Nobody is there, I go to back and get my cat. The cage is FILTHY with feces everywhere! You can see her paw prints because she was covered in **! The worker said they tried to clean her but it wouldn't come off!!! I was livid!!

    When asked where her carrier was it was so called being washed! Keep in mind this was in the afternoon as I was due to pick her up after PT. Her grooming session was in the AM!!! I got my cat and proceeded to leave and this punk had the nerve to ask me "How are you gonna pay?" I walked out the door. I got home, cleaned my cat up and promised her I would NEVER put her there again!! Now I'm PISSED!!!

    The next morning I go in and speak to Ashley who is the PetsHotel leader who had no answers as to what happened. I got the number to corporate and left before I did something to her and Dominic. I also got a copy of the activity chart where they are suppose to document all activity on it, there were missing initials in the boxes for food and treats! I spoke to the salon leader James who informed me that after he groomed my cat they called for someone from the hotel to get my cat!!! HE SAID MY CAT WAS IN HER CARRIER FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF AND NOBODY FROM THE PET HOTEL CAME TO GET HER!!! That's when his worker transported her to the hotel and back to her cage!!! Well, I would ** on myself also if I was in a carrier that long around barking dogs!!!

    I called corporate. A few days later the general manager Matt calls me. I'm still upset at this point. He says he will call me back in a couple of days so we can come to a solution. Well, he never called back. I left messages for him no callback, I'm told he was on vacation, out of town or I just missed him! At this point I call corporate again and tell them I want someone other than Matt to call me, lo and behold they pass the message to him and he calls. I was at a funeral. Missed the call. It appears he can't call on his own. He only reaches out when corporate passes the message then when I call he cannot be reached. Today is August 15, and the matter still is NOT resolved!!! This company doesn't care about our pets that we love as family!! They care about money!! Last, when I called corporate again somehow the complaint number had changed!

    For several years, I purchased 3 oz Sheba Cat Food cans, by 4 or more cases, monthly. Approximately a year ago, I was informed that you were no longer carrying the cans, and that the manufacture was discontinuing the cans and you would only be able to stock the 2.6 oz Sheba Perfect Portions at a higher price. The nutritional value of the Perfect Portions is not what it is in the cans. Less product, more money. And that, in my opinion, is corporate greed... By the way, yes indeed, the manufacture does still produce the cans.

    Also purchased Swheat Scoop, Multi-cat litter... 14 lb bags, $11.49. Now, 12 lb bags at $13.00 per bag. Another case of less product, more money. For several years, I spawned Crown Tail Betta's, spent thousands of dollars in your store on supplies and fish. Sadly I could not get the correct water treatments and food for Betta's and would order this through the local Reef Shop. Since then your quality of Betta's has indeed gone and you charge outrageous amounts for poor quality fish. That being said, I do NOT nor will I patronize PetSmart or Petco. Neither care about the quality of life for our pets and only care about profitability. I know of several people who will no longer patronize your stores. Corporate Greed at its finest.

    I purchased PetSmart's Brand, Whisker City Scratch Prevention Tape which should really be called Destruction Tape. I called my local store and discussed that I wanted to use the double sided tape briefly on our new white modern leather couch to give our cats a heads up that the couch is not a scratching post. Our cats showed no interest in the couch and I would have been better off taking the risk than damaging the entire couch with this awful product that does not have proper warnings on the packaging and the sales people have no idea what this tape is capable of doing. I was told to perform a test, it should be fine. I requested two rolls to be held at customer service, spoke with customer service when I picked it up in store and that person told me the same thing and we read the labelling together.

    I performed a 24-hour test and the glue did not feel stronger than scotch tape. The glue was light, not sticky and was not pressed against the couch, it came off easily and was less sticky than a name tag. From the test and information on the packaging, there is no way I could ever imagine what was about to happen it was not conveyed by the store manager and salesperson at the checkout counter. In about a week of being on the couch and my cats showing no interest, I took off the tape. The glue consistency 100% changed and was thick gummy and a stronger glue adhesive like a super glue and took off tiny areas of leather like a bikini wax and the glue transferred completely onto the couch leaving shiny glue stripes all over the couch. The glue will not come off and PetSmart conveyed there is nothing that can be done. The glue is now part of the couch which is unimaginable.

    PetSmart's Corporate Office thinks there is nothing wrong with a couch being ruined by their products, which is absurd and unacceptable. The packing on the front states: "MEDICAL GRADE ADHESIVE WON'T HARM FABRICS, SCRATCH PREVENTION TAPE, APPLY TRANSPARENT STRIP DIRECTLY ONTO SURFACES. To: *Help store furniture destruction *Help guard houseplants *Help deter unwanted behavior." This product harmed my couch all over. The tape is not transparent. It has left shiny stripes that are now dark and dirty. It caused destruction and took off leather and completely glued the couch. The couch is awful to the touch.

    PetSmart’s customer service, claims process and comprehension of a claim is a lesson to all businesses of how you do not want your Corporate Office conveying to employees how to handle a situation and what you do not want your customers to experience. The initial process is flawed. PetSmart lost my claim 4-5 times and each submission requires about a 5 day waiting period. When I finally spoke with customer service to process my claim, there was a lack of understanding of the claim. PetSmart told me I had to pursue and speak with their manufacturer, PetEdge, but PetEdge told me they don't make the product or the Whisker City brand.

    On the back of the Whisker City (PetSmart Brand if you google) packing there is a phone number. I called that phone number and they answered, "PetSmart". PetSmart has exercised bad business practices by not taking responsibility for their bad product, the customer is purchasing the PetSmart brand thinking PetSmart will stand behind the products they sell, but PetSmart is doing everything they can to not take responsibility for their destruction product that also does not have the proper disclaimers, warnings and examples that are in no way imaginable to the customer or their sales people. Per PetSmart Corporate Office Customer Service Department, I was to return the used tape and the other unopened container to the store. They did not want me to mail it back to them.

    I met with the store manager and spoke to a corporate individual who happened to be visiting the store and I explained the situation, showed them the gummy strong glue consistency that is different than a new role of tape. No one seemed to think what happened could happen. I requested that the visiting individual assist with my claim, but nothing has happened. Customer Service turned the claim over to a third party insurance company called Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. and they advised that I contact Adam ** who would explain how they came to the conclusion that the packaging warns customers, how PetSmart is are not at fault and it is PetEdge's fault because they manufacture the product. I called Adam ** who sets another example of how you should never speak rudely to a customer who was advised to call and where the expectation was set that he would explain the situation.

    Instead, Adam laid down the law that he was not going to waste his time speaking to me when a decision has been made and he refused to speak with me and basically hung up on me. I contacted Barb ** and shared the demeaning rude treatment that she set me up for, but there was never any further explanation and PetSmart is not acknowledging the fact that there was no real third party review, they won't allow me to file a proper claim, they won't comment on PetEdge telling me they don't manufacture the product or the brand and they refuse to acknowledge the labeling flaws and damages to my personal property. Their product permanently affixed itself to our couch altering the solid pattern to a glue stripe couch. Anything that comes in contact with it touches a sticky substance and dirt and hair sticks to it.

    After many failed attempts to reason with PetSmart's Corporate Customer Service, I emailed and left messages for PetSmart's CEO, Michael Masseya. After calling again, I finally spoke with Sheri in the Corporate Office who relayed, Mr. Masseya doesn't want to speak with me and isn't going to speak with me. This is another example of how you never want to pass on a message to a customer exactly the way it was told to you. In my opinion, when there is a situation and a disgruntled employee requesting to speak with the CEO or someone senior in the corporate office, that department should have someone contact the customer and try to listen and handle the situation appropriately. That did not happen. Apparently, there is a bad corporate culture at PetSmart. PetSmart doesn't seem to care about their brand and from what I have experienced, their focus is "deny", "deny", "deny".

    On principle, I will be pursuing the matter. PetSmart sold a product that they should stand behind and protect the customer and not try to hide behind the manufacturer. My receipt states, PetSmart. The product is defective, damaging, changed consistency and does not have proper warnings and the test did not prove to be the same as using the product for one week. Please advise if there is anyone else at the PetSmart's Corporate Office who would like to do the right thing.

    Pet Value just gained a new customer for life. I had THE worst customer service experience ever today at PetSmart. Their website says they clip cat nails. No appointment needed. I got there and asked the first employee I saw-a cashier- and she directed me to the grooming area. The very young girl in there bluntly informed me that they don't do cats on weekends. I didn't see anything about that in the website but I can admit maybe I just missed it. HOWEVER--- The cat groomer was there. (If they don't groom cats on weekends then why was she there?) Who informed me bluntly that they don't groom cats on weekends because there are too many dogs and it causes too much havoc. "Ok but there are exactly zero dogs here right now." "Yes we know but you're still going to have to come back during the week."

    I work during the week. Her exact words to me then "Well you'll have to figure that out on your own, we can't help you today. " No apology. Not even a hint of respect. Blunt and rude as hell. Horrible customer service. I intend to write a review or contact their mgmt to tell them about this. So after 25 years of being a die hard PetSmart customer I will never shop there again. Sat in the parking lot looking for any place that could help me today. Came across Pet Value. Called to ask if I could come in with no appointment. She said yes very happily. So when I got there the manager came to serve me and we went into the grooming room. Normally the owner doesn't go in but because it was a first time thing for both me and Leia she urged me to come watch. That made me feel great. This person cared.

    So we talked while she clipped Leia's nails. Helped me fix her collar and harness to correct sizes. Educated me about food, snacks, answered every question. Leia went and hid once her collar was on and the mgr got on the floor to pull her out. Gave me samples of adult food because it's time to transition her. And listened to me tell her about the horrible experience PetSmart. Went to the cash to pay for everything. She refused it. All this today was free. She insisted. I'll be going to PetValue from now on. Just to be clear, I am in Barrie, Ontario. The PetSmart is on Mapleview Dr., the PetValue is BayfieldNorth.

    I took my 11 weeks old puppy to PetSmart for grooming last Friday (07.08.2017). It was his first ever bath and light trimming. Before that, I never had a problem of him scratching. After grooming, I've noticed him scratching his ears and would lick his paws after. Then It became so much that he would start crying while scratching not only his ears now. I checked his ears and they smelled terrible and his skin - flaky. Not to forget his left eye is so red and teary. Now I have to observe the ears if they gonna get worst. Definitely NEVER going back to PetSmart for bath & grooming again. I DON'T RECOMMEND it either.

    I was told by the cashier that I needed to speak with the manager. Tommy told me that he would not return it without a receipt. I left the store and looked up PetSmart's policy on returns. Their website states that a return without a receipt requires a valid ID, and a store card will be issued for the amount of the item, the lowest sale price. When I returned to the store, I spoke to Tommy once again and showed him the store policy. He then showed me his right to refuse sign. I asked why he was refusing. He stated because there was no way to return my money. I asked “what about the store card policy?” He again stated he was refusing, very rudely and loudly. He gave no explanation, just said, quite inappropriately, with contempt and embarrassing me... “Nice doing business with you.” He yelled that at me. No professionalism and most definitely no manners. I will never return to PetSmart.

    When making appointment, at store #0204 Katy Tx confirmed cost of $48 for the grooming salon. Have senior small poodle and for years have brought him to PetSmart. After drop-off, we decided to have teeth brushed for $11. When picked up, cost was $70. Called and was told because I was charged for my own shampoo {hypoallergenic specifically for his allergies,} and they ground his nails {NEVER requested because they splinter}. Always just get clipped. Besides that, his hair cut was not even anywhere. Worse groom ever in the 7 years I have had him. Needless to say, there will not be a second time at this location.

    My dog was going to PetSmart since he was 3 months to get him used to the grooming experience. At about 14 months he started showing aggressive behavior. I took him to 2 other groomers and the first thing they asked was has my dog ever been to PetSmart. They both said my dog was traumatized. No one can cut him now without a muzzle. This place is horrible and other groomers recognize a "PetSmart" dog right away. Don't go there. They will hurt your dog.

    WARNING!!! Don't take your dog to any Petsmart Grooming Salon if you want to get your dog back in the same way you brought him in. My dog left there and was no longer able to walk. They have a video of the time your dog enters the grooming salon until he leaves... they wouldn't let me view it. Manager and Corporate refuse to respond to letters and calls. Check out other reviews about Petsmart Grooming before you consider taking your dog there... If you love your pet... take him somewhere else.

    We only go to this PetSmart when we have to because we dread going there. The staff are not friendly when we arrive and it is impossible to find someone to help us.     Today, July 1, 2017 we visited the PetSmart store in Sedalia MO for the first and last time. We picked up a bag of cat food which was priced at $22.99 and on sale for $21.99 a bag. At the check out it rang up for $23.99. When I questioned the pricing the employee just shrugged her shoulders and said, "Don't ask me, I just work here." We said that seems like false advertising and refused to pay and left the store. Last time we will go to PetSmart.

    Took my dog to Bridgewater Falls PetSmart and the groomers did an awesome job on my dog. They were so kind and patient with her. The haircut was awesome. Have been going there now for over a year and always same great service. My dog actually looks forward to seeing them. Greets them so happy and always ready to jump on the table herself as soon as she gets there. Highly recommend this location and the girls that work there do a super job.

    I had an appointment this morning for 9.30. I walk in, the girl asks if I had an appointment. I said yes & gave her my puppy's name (Cody). She looks in the computer & says "Oh it's for you Lorie, LUCKY YOU". I stand there in shock, when Lorie ** walks up to me, touches Cody & says, "Are you getting him neutered?" I reply, "Well he's a baby, he's only 5 months." She says "Yes, but it will improve his behavior." NOW, I have Cody in my arms, and he's not doing anything to make her think he has a behavior problem, so I said to her, "He does not have a behavior problem, he's a baby." She then asks me "What is he getting done?" I said, "A puppy trim, wash & nails." She said, "Well, if he doesn't let me do it, I don't know what to tell you." (It's the second time Cody is there for a wash & cut). I said to her, "It seems that you do not want to service him, can I have someone else?" She said, "Well if you want someone else, you need to get a new appointment."

    The other worker convinces me to let her do it because "she is the best there"(WELL DAMN). I agree to let her do it and walked out. I walked out the door & decided to come back in. I go around the store and got close enough to see what was going on through the side window. Sure enough, SHE'S YANKING THE DOG. Then she walks away from him, goes to the phone, so I walk back into the grooming room and ask her if she was calling me. She says "Yes. I can't do it." Then a manager walks in. She's whispering something to the manager. I said to her, "You were making excuses since I walked in." She huffed and walked away. I told the manager that she was making excuses from the moment I walked in. The manager says "Well if he's not letting her." I then walked into my car.

    My Cody was so traumatized, he threw up all over his car seat. I called & filed a report with headquarters. I've call the store 12 times to speak to the store manager & they keep transferring me back to the Grooming department and when I ask to speak to the manager, they hang up on me. THE WORST PETSMART I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! They need to get some professionals in the grooming department. They have a bunch of high school girls in there, cutting the pet's hair & LORIE ** is a RACIST UNPROFESSIONAL human who picks & chooses who she wants to serve!!! SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU!!!

    My dog of 14 years has been on the wellness plan for at least 7 years. Recently he got a very bad infection, he's had one on and off for about 2 years. I believe he had leukemia. The doctors at PetSmart knew how sick he was and didn't tell me. They said he needs flea prevention and recommend that I add it to his wellness plan knowing the whole time that he wasn't going to live much longer. I had no idea what I was agreeing to when I signed it. We had to put him down on June 16th because he stopped eating and drinking. When I called to cancel my plan they told me I owed them $378 remaining on his plan. I can't pay that and I probably won't.

    I wrote this letter to Petsmart 6 days ago and no one has responded to my complaint. My name is Pam **. I took my dog, Ruger, in for a bath at 11 am this morning (6/13/17) at the Hiram, Ga location. I left him in the care of your employee Jadan. At 5:00 pm, I called your store and was put on hold for a while so I hung up. I called back 5 minutes later and inquired about Ruger. The young lady answering the phone said "Oh, he's been ready." I told her no one called me and her response was "Oh, I'm sorry." I arrived at the store to pick him up around 5:30 pm. I was informed that Jadan went home at 3 pm.

    I inquired why no one called me when he was ready and why Jadan left the store without completing her care of my dog. Again, the response was 'Oh, I'm sorry." At this time, I stated that she should not be allowed any responsibilities with animals as it is apparent that she is completely irresponsible. The young man working stated that she has only been working there for 3 weeks, as if new employees of Petsmart are allowed to be negligent because they are newly hired.

    After my experience today, it is apparent that your employees are trained to respond to customer dissatisfaction by simply saying "Oh, I'm sorry." Well, I'm sorry because this response is completely unacceptable. The employee responsible for my dog went home without calling me and letting me know that he was ready for pick up, which resulted in him being there for 6 1/2 hours for a bath. In addition, at least 2 1/2 of those hours, he was left in a cage while the employees there assumed that Jadan had called me because it was her job and her responsibility.

    I've been a customer of that store for I know a good year or more. I buy my dog food there and I have my dog groomed there. I can have the dog food delivered to my door from your competitor, but I chose to shop at Petsmart. I can have Ruger groomed at a half of dozen other groomers in the vicinity, but I chose Petsmart. I chose Petsmart because I assume, due to your success, you have professional responsible individuals as employees.

    After my experience today, I feel that many employees there have little or no training and are clearly given responsibilities above their capabilities. Employees who handle live animals should know better than to abandoned a little dog in their care in a cage and assume someone else is going to care for it. Jadan's actions today were irresponsible and negligent. I am very disappointed with the grooming service Ruger received today and the apathetic response I received from Petsmart employees. I am questioning my decision to support your store.

    We took our Shetland Sheepdog just to be bathed at Petsmart on the East location of Wichita and when we picked him up today he was still wet. The groomer was not personable and said he didn't like the dryer. He has never been fond of the dryer but he has never not been dry from a grooming appointment. She charged 31.00 and he did not even looked brushed out. He couldn't wait to get out of there and pulled my mom towards the car. He hasn't been acting right all day since the appointment. He has been very snappy to everyone in the house and he never acts this way. I am suspecting that he was either scolded severely or been hit while under their care. He has also been very mopey and lethargic and looks very sad.

    My mom is furious because you can ruin a sheltie if you mistreat it. I hope he comes out of his mood. He even tried to bite my dad who he never would even try to bite. He is not acting right at all and he was fine before the appointment. I suggest everyone stay clear of PetSmart and their groomers. Once in a while you get one that does a good job but they don't stay working there long. I bet PetSmart is a nightmare to work for. They seem to treat their animals terrible so I would never purchase an animal from their either.

    9 June 2017: I made an appointment on June 8 to have my dog bathed at PETSMART GROOMING. I was asked at the time if my dog had rabies shots. I replied that she did and they were on file in The PetSmart Store where the grooming was located. She told me that was fine and that "SHE" would call them and get the information before I came. When I arrived for my appointment I was asked about the rabies shot and I told them what I had been told. I was told that "I" had to go and get the information. I told her what I had been told the previous day. I went into the store, waited in line at Banfield Vet Clinic and got the information.

    When I gave the information to the girl I told her that I had been "Lied" to the previous day. I was adamant about my comments, and maybe I carried it too far, but the dialogue got worse. I did not use profanity, nor did I make any verbal threats, I just continued to question their honesty based on what I was told on the phone. I asked to speak to the manager. I was told he wouldn't be back until next week, I ask to speak to whomever was acting manager. A lady, called "**" (she REFUSED to give her last name) came in and gruffly asked what was the problem. I told her my side. Long story short I was told by "another employee" (Not sure of name) that I could take my dog and leave.

    I asked her if she was the manager, she laughingly replied that she had been manager but was no longer, I asked her what happened, she laughed and said she gave it up so she wouldn't have to "DEAL WITH PEOPLE LIKE ME!" I replied, "Are you refusing to serve me?" She replied "YES". I ask her to put that in writing and she laughed at me and said "NO." The person who was "responsible" for washing my dog said that "she too REFUSED to wash my dog!" I asked for the manager's name. The assistant said "**", I asked his last name, she REFUSED to give it to me. Finally I walked out... WITH MY DIRTY DOG! Of course I won't be going back there or to PetSmart, but I doubt very seriously if they would allow me to be SERVED.

    I always thought in America it was illegal to REFUSE SERVICE. Oh, they said that they had the "right" to refuse service. Said it was in "their" policy manual. I asked to see the written policy. One of the employees attempted to get the manual but the "acting" manager said I had NO RIGHT to see their policy that she stated to me. I guess the bottom line is very, very poor customer service. I will admit that I was at least 50% responsible for the argument that ensued. All in all, PETSMART (Dog Grooming) in Newnan, Georgia has a major problem. BEWARE OF PETSMART GROOMING!     My daughter and I bought a baby fancy bearded dragon and went back following weekend. Petsmart had 2 more fancy bearded dragons in their store. The one was way too little to be up for sale. He could not open his one eye and he was almost see-through. My daughter got pictures and it was very sad. Nobody would address the questions we were asking. Very sad and disappointed.

    I scheduled a 12 o'clock appointment got there at 11:50. Was told I was early that the appointments were for one and 2:00. I told the girl that I was on speaker phone and had a family member listening and that the girl said 12 not one and two. The girl said it would still be three hours cause they have so so many appointments. I told I know I'm use to 5 or 6 hours that's why they go to a private groomer but they needed a bath and brush and my other groomer was booked. I had left the O'Fallon PetSmart 6 months before cause 3 times my little girl was razor burned three times. I think they called every month to let me know the cockers had been in. So I thought they could do a bath and brush. I was wrong. Both cockers came out damp, not fully dried, and shaking. Couldn't wait long enough for me to pet them. They pulled my daughter right out the door to the car.

    I paid 27.00 each for damp dogs. Someone sniped that they both didn't like their faces blow dried. No way. My boy has been going to them since he was 10 weeks and he's over 8. My girl has been going to them since she was 15 weeks. Always good reports and my new private groomer loves them and tells us all the time how well behaved they are. I think the girl got pissed I told her I had a private groomer and they were here for bath and brush only because they were booked.

    It will take hell to freeze over before I go to PetSmart again. I spend over 100 for two dogs once a month and what good is their pet perks. It's useless for grooming. I buy my bulk food at Chewy.com. It's way cheaper and they are much more helpful and pleasant to their customers than the people who work at all PetSmarts and I've shopped many different ones.

    My dog has been going to the PetSmart grooming salon for over 6 years now so they know her very well, specifically the store in Coon Rapids, MN. When I dropped her off for her appointment, I told them just her normal haircut. They later called me that day to say that she will need to be shaved in a few places due to "matting". I told them okay. I went to go pick up my pup, and she was COMPLETELY shaved. I was PISSED.

    I asked for the manager and told them I am not paying a penny for this service and that I am taking my dog home, I was in tears and my dog couldn't wait to get out of that store. 6 months later, I called to make another appointment and they told me that they couldn't take my dog in because she was "too aggressive"??? I was in shock that they put that in their computer system so that my dog wouldn't be able to get another grooming appointment. UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS AND LIARS. If you care about your dog, don't ever come here.

    When I moved to Bolton, I scheduled my dogs to be groomed at the local PetSmart. At their second visit, they were seen by another groomer because the original one was gone. I wasn't happy with the results because one dog's hair was barely touched and the other one's hair was so choppy and uneven he didn't even look like himself. I didn't complain but when I booked their next visit, I requested that they be seen by another groomer. On the appointment day, I was dismayed to be greeted by same groomer but was too embarrassed to say anything. When I went to pick them up after their appointment, the groomer asked if they looked okay but with clients waiting and my dogs bolting for the door, I said I would check them at home and let her know if there was a problem.

    Sure enough, their haircut was terrible so I called to let them know. I was told the same groomer would have to fix the problem and that she would be available the following day between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The next day, they called me at noon telling me I needed to go in before 4 p.m because the groomer was leaving early. I said I would try my best. In the interim, one of my dogs rolled over for a belly rub and I noticed he had been nicked in the abdomen and had bled. I called PetSmart right away to report it and was put on hold so I could speak to the manager. Rather than apologizing, the manager demanded to know what exactly was wrong with my dogs' haircuts and why I had not pointed out the issues in the store immediately after the appointment.

    It quickly became obvious she lacked any concern or empathy so I asked for her name in order to address the issue with someone above her however, she refused to give it to me. As someone with a management background in customer service I was truly dismayed by the aggressiveness and lack of professionalism demonstrated by this manager. I have no intention of ever stepping foot inside that store again.

    PetSmart and Petco should be avoided at all cost. They handle the animals they sell very inhumanely. They keep them in plastic tubs with holes drilled into the top of the tubs. The animals including baby animals die and they just throw them out in hoards like unwanted trash. They barely feed them, they transport them via FedEx or UPS. They are made to live in their own excrement and feces and by the time they get to the store they are dead.

    I need to tell you about PetSmart grooming (Manahawkin NJ). Here are the before and after pictures of my Roxy's hair cut. I paid almost 70 dollars for them to chop her hair up. I told the girl just trim her legs and please don't touch the collar. Well I am so upset they chopped her all over it does not even look like her. Just giving a heads up. Before & after pictures. Looks worse in person. When I spoke to the manager he said the girl was one of his best groomers. If this was the best I hate to see the worst. No stars for them they should be shut down.

    I started with Petsmart with Training classes and very happy with that and the trainer... I start with the good and that I had to bring in all my German Shepherd puppy paperwork—shots, rabies cert... They copied everything and made a file for her. I made an appointment for grooming online and read through everything and brought my dog in for a bath and nail trim, at her appointment time 4PM 5/72017, store 1146 Manalapan, NJ.

    Me and my daughter get there and the one girl grooming a dog said Amanda would be in soon. A girl came in and talked to the other girl grooming and she said that's your first appointment--while pointing to my dog and yes she is a still a puppy but 60lbs and a German Shepherd. I get it, but she is trained... Amanda said no way then they started arguing about who switched from the 2 to 7 schedule and that Amanda had the 4 to 9pm... I kept saying she will be good and I would help but Amanda walks out. She came back 5 minutes later and said, "Do you have her rabies certificate?" I said I have her tag and that we have been there for the last year and that training has copies... she said, "Yeah that's not our policy. We need the rabies certificate every time."

    I asked to speak to a manager and she said fine... she disappeared for 5 min and a woman with an attitude and someone's dog under her arm said, "What's your problem?" I said, "Excuse me???" I tried to explain my side and said, "Can't we just look in the computer for her file?" She was said, "We are not the same as Petsmart. We are all separate departments. What's not clear about that?" I said, "But we have been coming for a year and she has her tag and if we just go down the hall to the training office we could get a copy..." She gave me even more attitude and said, "These are PetSmart policies and we are just going by them. We cannot take the metal tags that she needs the date and time the rabies shot was given..." Now I am getting more and more angry from the attitude and arguing. She was supposed to be a manager and whatever happen to customer service?

    I understand policies but I was trying to help get the paperwork. She said, "Ahhh it's Saturday at 4:30pm. Darn your vet is closed so you will just have to come back.” and with the biggest smile she said, "Don't forget your rabies cert!!!" I was like I'm not ever coming back--she said, "Good". I said, "That's awesome customer service.” I have to say thank goodness that happened--I saved my dog from a torture session... while all this was going on the girl who didn't want to wash my dog was clipping a smaller dogs nails and was yelling at the dog and slamming him on the table and yes I told the women who brought her in to go get your dog, they are being very rough with her... I believe that's why she didn't want to wash my dog because she was no match for a 60lb German Shepherd. If you don't want to groom dogs then find another job.

    I recently purchased a National Geographic aquarium filter "CF70 UV". I was not told by the store that this is a discontinued item and no replacement parts will be available for it. I came home put it all together, it took over an hour. The uv bulb was burned out before I ever plugged this unit in. I just figured call the 1 800 number to have it replaced. I was told they don't sell them, to call the store I purchased it at. So I then called the store and was told any 9w uv bulb could be used, however they don't have any in stock. They said they have no idea when they will have more in stock, that I should call the 1 800 number. So I did that again. I was treated very rudely and talked over by the representative. They told me they will not send me a replacement for it. I have to wait for the store to get them in stock, then go buy it. So after an hour connecting the filter and over an hour on the phone with them, they just don't care.

    I wouldn't buy anything from them at this point... with way I was treated on the phone by the customer service center and the store I purchased it... they just don't care. The best part of it all is I spent over a thousand dollars the day I purchased this item. It will all be returned and I will not go back after 15 years of going to Petsmart. I've now realized that they don't care about their customers once the sale is complete!!! If you shop at petsmart, good luck.

    I purchased a Kong Dog Crate from the PetSmart in Dulles, VA. Upon opening the box, we noticed a strong odor. The crate was covered in urine, feces, and dog hair. There was also a stuffed dog toy smashed in the used crate. I called the store immediately and they just said "Sorry. You can return it." Apologies again once I returned the crate an hour later, but no offer for a discount/coupon/other for the trouble even after asking for it. It is appalling that our household was exposed to another animal's excrement when attempting to purchase a new crate. That was on my second trip to this PetSmart. On the 1st trip I had to give back 2 items from my cart before purchasing because I noticed that they were both used: 1. a brush full of dog fur and 2. A 2-pack of Nyla puppy bones that had been taped back up with teeth marks on the bones.

    Saturday April 15th, 2017. We took our dog to PetSmart store #2454. As they took our dog to have his nails grinding done, I watch from the observation window. I became disturb and upset as I saw how he was being handled. I walked back into the grooming room. The girl doing his nails noticed my glare. She then asked for help holding him. The girl holding him was calming my dog. The girl trimming continued to be rude toward him. Now before I walked into the room, he was nearly falling off the table. She had no concern with that or his safety! He then yelp! He clamped his teeth into the leash hook bar in front of him! He knows not to bite. And he never has.

    Let's just say she's lucky, because he was pissed! So was I! There is no need to pull a dog's leg, or treat them abusively! I will never go back there again. If you do bring your dog here to this store at 601 Centerview Blvd Kissimmee FL, stay and watch your dog be groomed! Better yet, find a caring, PATIENT groomer! They are not! Oh and if this store is reading this review, my dog's name is Romeo! Look him up! You'll then know who was assigned! I suggest you find another profession! Animals aren't it!!! They don't even deserve the one star I gave them! All PetSmart suck! They should closely observed! Oh and the manager Cashier #** of this grooming department... get a personality! Yours sucks!

    Dropped off at 1pm. Told he be ready for 4pm. Said I might be a bit late due to an appointment & they told me to be there NO later than 5pm. Was there for pick up at 4:30 - not finished grooming, still had his head to do. Came back at 4:55pm & still not ready. Again, they charged extra for an Add On (Brush/DeMat). I'm getting tired of the extras! He was shaved "due to the mats" which I told them I didn't want. His head hair is still on the longer side (not a Westie cut at all)! Tail was shaved. He was not as white as he usually is when he comes out of the salon. The red stains on his feet & face were still there.

    Turns out they used Herbal Essences Color Brightening shampoo! They are a Pet Store - do they not have access to several brands of dog shampoos that may be better for the skin??? & actually whiten?? I had this service done in Alberta, Canada but from the look of the other reviews - this is common throughout their stores. I also read a review from an employee that said, Petsmart wants groomers to upsell - so that's why the extra charge for Brush/Demat, I'm guessing. If you're going to shave him down to the skin - I don't think this is necessary. And honestly, I did notice my dog has been a bit more "clingy" since being home. Maybe nothing but maybe something???

    000 STARS! I took my cavalier spaniels in to be groomed. I asked for the basic service. They pressured me to do the premium service. I explained I am retired and could not afford it. When I picked my dogs up, they had charged me an additional $100. I told them I could not pay it. THEY LAUGHED AT ME. I spoke to the grooming manager and the store manager. The grooming manager laughed and said I had to pay it. She did not say sorry, she did not offer to work something out. The store manager said she did not have time for this. They both smirked and said I could pay or not get my dogs.

    By the time I left I was in tears. They did not even complete the basic grooming much less complete any of the so-called premium services they charged me for. I have never been so humiliated or so distressed in my life. Furthermore, paying and additional $100 made it impossible for me to get my medicine this month. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO PETSMART FOR GROOMING - THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

    First off I want to say I'm glad the PetSmart cares about their fish. I just don't like the way the employee went about it. I have over a 30 gallon tank with two small goldfish in it. I wanted to buy one more goldfish. I really liked it and soon as I walked up there the girl drilled me about my size tank and how many fish which like I said again it was fine but her demeanor was very serious almost like I was a child telling a lie or something. I just don't like the way I was treated. She made me feel dumb. I know a bit about fish. I have to tell you my fish would've been a lot healthier in my tank. She's questioning me about how I'm going to have three goldfish in a 30 gallon tank where she had 10 goldfish in a 10 or a 20 gallon tank. I'm not sure what that was in the store.

    She said she would not guarantee me the fish because of what I told her about my tank. If anything you're going to be selling me the fish sick. It just made no sense to me. You're keeping the fish in a tiny tank overcrowded but you won't sell me one because I have two fish in mine?? Makes no sense. This is the Boardman PetSmart.

    Purchased 4 items at PetSmart on 4/11/17. The item that was broken was a cricket holding container. I purchased this item for my grandson's gecko. When I got home and prepared to put the purchased crickets in the container, I noticed the flaps were not positioned where they should be. The gal who picked the item off the display did not look it over either. So I proceeded to take the loose-lying flaps in the bottom inside of the container and place the flaps on the outside above where the tubes are located. The flaps could not be positioned because half of the flap was broken off. So I called the store immediately and they told me to bring back for a refund.

    The next day I returned to the store and was told I would have to wait 10 to 14 days before a return could be made because I had paid for the 4 items which totaled $43.00 by check. I only wanted a refund for a third of this amount. The store sold me junk to begin with and then said I would have to wait that long and make another trip, 3rd trip, to get my refund. I don't like being penalized for not using a credit card. And to have broken items on the shelf and still selling the item is not acceptable. And running my check through their machine and then telling me I have to wait 14 days for a refund.

    They weren't worried about receiving my check but were worried about giving me back a third of the purchase ticket total. I am a grandmother and a wealthy grandmother and it infuriates me when receiving such lousy service. I told the clerk that I will never shop at their store again and would gladly give the mom and pop store my service. And to top this off, the crickets were cheaper at the mom and pop store!! So going forward, my experience will be shared on Facebook and any source I can use to let people know what type of business you are selling to the public!!!

    I tried to place an online order for the amount of $68.00 with free shipping. However as soon as I entered the coupon for my first order, I received the message that my order cannot be shipped for whatever reason. I called also PetSmart customer service and the person tried to tell me that items may be not in stock. If not in stock, they should not be on the website. Sending out coupons and then not accepting them or not shipping the items I ordered (all regular items available in stores)... Sorry. I never had any problems with CHEWY, always in stock always ships on time. If you launch a new program, make sure you advertise what you can sell or have in stock. You will not win or earn customer.

    Ok so my dog is 14 and she's older and she loves coming home from the groomers and that day when my dad picked her up for me he called me and said you need to take her to the vet. So I met him at the vet and the dog's right eye (looking at her face) was shut and she was walking funny and stumbling and walking into things. And the vet looks at her and tells me to leave the room and she said come back in and my dog was cut up from head to toe and she said the groomer glued the hair back over the cuts so we couldn't see them. So I'm at a loss for word. Ever since she was a puppy she always goes to PetSmart. Now after 14 years I need a new place.

    I would give this grooming/store 0 stars!!! My dog went at grooming today. As you can see by the pictures it didn't go well! The groomer of my dog was "Aurie." My dog was half groomed, I come to this grooming salon because I want my dog to be clean and well groomed. I don't want to come and pick up my dog half groomed and to hear "He was wiggly. We will finish him up in 3 days."

    When I picked him up he was really really anxious. I've never seen him so scared and THIRSTY. They don't even give the dog water. I'm sure this is not the only time when someone complained about this issue! I walk my dog daily and now how am I supposed to take him outside while people stare at me and ask "Why is your dog like that? Are you taking care of him?" Hair is dangling off of my dog. They only groomed his back! I don't think I ever want to come here again because I don't want unprofessional people that are new and have no experience to ruin my dog's health and well-being! I really hope (PetSmart) that you fix this issue!

    I'm a single father raising two girls. One which is 14months and the other is 10. I have a classic truck that I re-did so I could make some money on it due to life isn't easy when it to single parenting. I had a buyer for truck but after one of their carts flew into it and crushed the right door no buyer. I have no money. My 10 year old wanted a dish tank that we were going to buy with some of that money, now no fish tank, no buyer for my truck and pet smart hasn't called me back but sent a letter stated that it is a privilege to have carts. It's not their fault but yet after the cart hit my car all the workers ran out and gathered all the carts so they saw what happened.

    Now I'm stuck with a damaged truck and my daughter not happy cause I couldn't do what I promised her thanks to PetSmart. Once again another great company that will just throw you under the rug and eat people like us that give them our money. I will never spend a penny in that store again and I will make sure my friends and family don't either. A good example of a corporation that doesn't give a ** about the people who keep their store afloat. Thanks cowards.

    The store had good friendly service, the problem was with the product. At first, when first opened noticed some pieces with weblike tissue, seemed odd, but since first time getting this blend... maybe this was normal. But then a small moth flew by. Maybe it came from outside, I thought... but again it happened. Then a few days passed when a few more flew. They came out of the bag. I killed two and decided it was time to take the proof of moths and the bags back to the store. No problem getting a refund. I have switched to another brand altogether since someone working at PetSmart mentioned that at least two other bags have had the same moth issue. So far, my dog seems to be ok. Luckily he approves of his new food.

    Ok, so I am a Pre-K teacher. I just recently bought an aquarium for the classroom because it is a very valuable learning experience. I went to PetSmart to find and buy fish. I know I am new to the aquarium life and don't know much, but I've been researching everything for my tank and what will be best. And I do take the fish employees serious. But when I brought a sample of my water to have it tested, this employee not only complained to me about how I didn't bring enough water, but then when the water wasn't where it's supposed to be, this rude employee decided to get snippy with me about how I'm going to kill my fish because of the water. And instead of telling me how to fix it, he just said that I cannot get any more fish.

    He asked what size tank I had and how many fish I have in my tank. Well I have a 10-gallon tank, and I have 2 fish in my tank. Well I wanted to get 6 tetras and another molly fish. Well, he looked at me like I was a murderer. Said no way can I have that many fish in my tank. He could have just informed me of how many fish can be in my tank and what the proper way to figure out what fish can go into a tank. But he was so rude about it and kept giving me dirty looks. So I put back everything I was going to buy because he was just so rude about the way he went about things.

    He works at the Chadds Ford Petsmart, and I've never had more ruder employees. He basically would not allow me to buy the fish I had wanted. And I understand that you cannot have that many fish in one tank. But he never asked if I had another tank, or anything. I thought it was so rude and weird that he would not let me buy the fish I wanted. He could have told me that with buying all these fish I’m going to have problems. Or inform me of why I shouldn't have that many fish in one tank. But NEVER should he have denied me buying any fish. I have all the right to buy whatever I want. There's no legal agreement saying I am limited to a number of fish in my tank.

    Because I am getting another tank, I have to wait the 72 hours until it is fully set up. But I wanted to get the fish and get them used to being in a tank with other fish. I have baby mollies, and I wanted them to get used to being in the tank with other fish. So I am just writing to inform your employees that they should never be that rude to a customer, and never deny them access to buy fish!

    The two other employees who work there were so helpful and kind when I was trying to pick out fish. But not this male employee. Not to mention, he said my water was high in ammonia and all, but then he just dumped my water into the fish tank he has at the store! So it couldn't have been that bad for my fish. Not to mention, why is it I can only have 3 fish to a 10-gallon tank, but the fish stores can cram fish into those small tanks and that's ok? I am sorry to complain. I never do. I just wanted this experience with my fish to be a pleasant one. Now, I am taking all of my business to Petco because they are nicer and they don't look down on their customers who don't know exactly what they are doing. But I did try and research before I went into the store. And on the box it said that I was allowed to have 8-10 fish for my 10-gallon tank. So I’m sorry that I was misinformed.

    My pug, named Pug and his brother named Frankie came with a report that said "Frank and Sandy..." Apparently they don't pay close attention to your dog's names. I also asked them not to clean my pug named Pug's ears because he had an infection... But Sandy came home with very nicely cleaned ears and they were very inflamed. Sandy got an A+ on her report card! I'm sure she/he wasn't bothered one bit when they dug in his ears. When you drop off, please spend 30 seconds observing the way they treat the other dogs getting groomed. You will feel sad... And so will your doggy. Peace.

    1.0 star rating 2/25/2017. I've been to the same groomer at the Altamonte Springs PetSmart for more than 5 years. I took my two Golden's in on Thursday February 23rd 2017. Both ran in happily but when I picked them up one could not stand and the other was limping. I immediately took the one that couldn't stand to a vet. She was dead within the hour. Upon examination of the other in addition to her limp she had skin burns and the grooming was choppy. We buried our pet yesterday and my wife and I are devastated. Has anyone had a similar experience? Our phone number is **. I do not want to put up any stars but the system requires at least one. We won't be returning to that store.
