I was doing research online, looking for a higher quality dog food than what we were using and I came across Canidae Pet Foods that's grain-free and with lower protein level so we decided to give it a try. We have been purchasing the Land, the Sky, the Bison, the Lamb, and the Duck. We don't prefer the Sea. Our pet has a bad reaction to the fish oil. We've got three dogs and we've got all three of them on Canidae, which was one of our goals, and it's working out fantastic.

We had Reese, our Lab, on one kind of Canidae dog food and she's healthier than she was previously when we had her on just a store brand. Then our two little Chihuahuas are on little food. Reese would always eat the little dog food and after that she would go eat her own food. If the little dogs would go eat Reese's food, they would get very bloated. There's sanity in the house so if they get into each other’s food, we're not going to have a bloating problem with the little dogs, or not-enough-nutrition problems for the big dog issue eating the little dogs’ food.

I was looking for natural human grade ingredients for my dogs and the food I had been using for some time has started adding beet pulp to their food so I started looking for healthy alternatives and after some research, I discovered Canidae. Their ingredients are safe and good for my dogs. For some time, initially, they did not have Grain Free and once they came out with it, that’s the route I’ve gone.

Right now, they’re eating the Canidae Grain Free Pure Sea. The fish ingredient works best for them. I had a couple dogs with the same health issue and had consulted a holistic vet who felt like the fish diet was a good one to alleviate the health issue and so I had been using the Pure Elements. I switched to fish and it did alleviate the problem and I put everybody on that diet. We’re mainly on the Pure Sea but I alternate sometime with the Grain Free.

I’ve been feeding my dogs the food for 16 years. In their younger years, we have almost little to no health problems, and when they got to 14 onwards, they started having things that are mainly old age issues. Some of it is good genes, but a big part of the longevity of these dogs is the fact that I feed them good food and supplements. Canidae is more expensive but to me, if I'm putting the money in the food and not spending it at the vet, I'm doing something right. I have puppy buyers that puppies go home with it and the people would continue to feed it. I have all the same breed, Boston Terriers, and they mainly eat the same food.

My little doggie had some weed allergies so I tried him on Chicken Soup. She did good but then I heard about Canidae. I changed her to it and her coat is gorgeous. Her muscle tone, protein, and everything about her is beautiful. I attribute a lot of it to her food. Though Canidae's not too cheap, it’s worth it. I have recommended it to lots of friends. I’m gonna be adopting a new puppy soon and she’ll be going on Canidae also.

It's been three years that I've been getting Canidae food for my pets. I have two Leonbergers and they're very large. It's 100% valuable for me that I feed my pets with natural ingredients. I like the combination of food of Canidae, the fact that it's grain free, and that I had options to switch between duck versus bison so the dogs don't get bored. I use only Grain Free for my dogs. I usually alternate between the Grain Free Large Breed Sky and Elements. It's a pleasure and certainly adds to an incentive that I get coupons because my pets go through a 26 pound bag every two weeks. I often recommend Canidae.

I like Canidae and I use three or four different varieties. I use the senior ones that are fish or chicken because of the protein level. It's better for my pets to eat good quality food versus filler food. I'm sure they're happier and healthier for it. My dogs like Canidae too.

I've been using Canidae for six years. It was recommended by the shelter that I had adopted our pet from. I've been feeding my three dogs Life Stages in particular because it’s the one that meets the needs of all three dogs. And the bite size is just right. It’s smaller so it’s edible for small and big dogs.

Somebody recommended Canidae to me and I used it for my German Shepherd, Pete, for seven years and he did pretty well on it. I started out with the All Stages and then went to the Platinum, the one for the weight control. It had a good reputation and my dog was healthy on it. For dry food, he ate it well. Canidae has less junk or toxins in it that can get in the pet's body.

Canidae seems to have limited ingredients which we like and it's a little cheaper than some of the more expensive ones that we have used before. We get the salmon one for our bullmastiff and she seems to like it. She looks good and doesn't break out in rashes or have allergies to it. We have an expensive dog and we need to take good care of her so we try and get a good dog food.

I've been buying Canidae for about 5 years. We started with one dog and ultimately grew to three. I wanted to give them something that's better than just regular, off-the-shelf stuff that you would find at Petsmart or Petco, and that would really be beneficial to my kiddos because they're not just dogs to us but family members. I did a whole bunch of research on what pet food companies offered better quality foods and Canidae seemed to provide really good quality food for a good, competitive cost. Definitely there are pet foods out there that are even better, but the cost is ridiculous. You start spending $20 a pound for dog food and that's crazy.

We buy the Life Stages 44-pound bag and it would last a month for all three dogs. I keep them on the same diet. Our Beagle has a thyroid issue now, so she's on medication but I need to bring her weight down because of the issue. She gets half a cup twice a day, which meets her caloric intake for the day based on what the doctor had given to us of just the regular Canidae. I wanted to see if there was a better option for her. When I called Canidae this last time, I wanted to find out about the Grain-free products. There's one specifically for weight management and I wanted to see if Canidae offered a variety pack that comes in half-pounds.

It would be fantastic for Canidae to do that because unlike the Life Stages which just has one or two flavors, the Grain-free comes in nine to twelve different varieties. I have no idea what my dogs are going to like and because they're so much more expensive since they're grain-free, even buying a five pound bag is going to be a lot, especially if my dogs end up not liking it. We switched our Beagle over to Canidae's weight management plan food and she just hated it. The stores are great because we can bring everything back if we want to and they'll give us our money back, but I don't want to start doing that 14 times over.

We had been doing food supplements and a good friend of ours said the best food for our pet would be Canidae so we tried it and our dog loves it. We've been buying Canidae Grain Free for six months now for our 50lbs Pitbull-Border Collie mix. We had other dogs before and they always had skin issues here and there. We had heard that grains were not good for dog skin so we decided to go with the Grain Free formula for our dog. Now she doesn’t eat as much food and doesn’t produce as much waste. It's amazing! She’s doing really well. Her coat looks good and she doesn’t scratch.

I usually buy the biggest bags Canidae makes. I had sent them an an e-mail and asked how to get coupons. They told me how then a month later they dropped some coupons in the mail for me. I was able to use that for my next purchase.

I talked to people before and everyone said Canidae was the best one. I have two dogs right now, a beagle and a German shepherd, and so far, I’ve been switching between All Stages and PURE. My German shepherd was shedding quite a bit then, and my local pet store said to try the Canidae PURE Sea. I did and it really made quite a big difference so I rotate between those two. We recently adopted a cat from the Humane Society and we've been feeding him Canidae. Canidae was local and was one of the top-rated so I went with that. When we adopted him, he was getting whatever was donated and typically most people think Meow Mix and all that other garbage is good for them. The transition at first was rough because he had diarrhea from getting such rich healthy food compared to bad food but he’s been on this food now since after the month I got him. He’s a lot more energetic and he was losing his hair at first but now he’s not. He also seems happy and he eats all of his food. I don’t have to worry about him not eating.

Canidae has been the best pet food brand that I could buy in my local shop and I've been purchasing it for five years now. I have two cats and two dogs, a 140-pound Anatolian Shepherd and a 45-pound Walker Coonhound. For the hound dog, I use the Platinum Senior food. Canidae has helped with her kidneys because it's an easily digestible low-phosphorous food so she does very well with it. Then for the Anatolian Shepherd, he's a picky eater so we alternate flavors of the Grain Free and he likes it. My dogs and I love the food and I've seen great improvement in health and coat for them. It's incredibly valuable feeding my pet natural ingredients. As long as they're happy, I'm happy.

We have been using Nutra before and that was hard to get. They were without their salmon for long and so we decided to switch dog food because Nutra can’t produce it. Then one of our breeder was using Canidae that was raw. So we used it for our latest show dog for a short time. Raw is a mess and we chose the No Grain stuff for our pets. They’re Newfoundlands. We have a seven, eight, and a nine-year-old. Two are boys and one of them is nine and neutered. The female is eight and spayed, and then Big Sur is seven and he’s not altered. He was a little bit finicky with Canidae, but he's not now.

Then I found that the Newfies are prone to ear infections because of the flop ears. I thought that the No Grain helps to keep that without too many problems. It also seemed that many of the dog food companies were buying their grains from China and that was killing dogs and making dogs sick in some instances. And we thought we would just alleviate those worries.

Canidae's a good solid dog food. The only thing is sometimes that’s not so easily readily available and that’s a little upsetting. We have to wait for it but it's not as bad as the Nutra was. However, we’ve been down to where the person we were buying it from. He had two bags left and he'll give us one because his latest order hadn’t come in so that’s a little disconcerting. But then I’d recommend them.

I have a Great Dane and he doesn't do well with tons of protein even though he's an adult. Some of the dog foods had too much protein but Canidae seemed to have sort of a balance across the board of what I needed in terms of what it contained without having too many fillers, I hope. It's also Grain-Free and some varieties don't have lamb or chicken. I purchase the Pure Duck for the Dane while I purchase the Large Breed puppy food. Sometimes I purchase the Life Stages canned food to give a little zip. However, the dane doesn't like the food anymore.

The puppy likes the adult Canidae very much but she doesn't like the Canidae Puppy. I'm not sure why but I was hoping that since she did, I could switch her over and she would like it like she likes the Adult but the dogs don't eat the Canidae Puppy without additives. Even if I do the three-day thing, not feeding them basically, they still only eat enough to survive but not enough to thrive. It's the most disappointing thing. I do appreciate the fact that Canidae puts the calcium and phosphorous levels on some of the food bags because I like to know that, so it’s nice to be able to have those out there and hopefully they’re accurate.

I've been getting Canidae for my pets for six years. At one time, my son did a lot of research on pet food brands, and we thought that Canidae was one of the better ones. We've had several dogs and they've all been mixes. We had one its whole life since it was a puppy. The others were well into their teens, and they are all rescue dogs of some kind. We had a big rescue dog that lived to be about 18 years old. We've had all of them on Canidae almost exclusively until about five months ago. I have one dog that's on Life Stages because I thought that was the best one, and I have another one on Senior.

But I had trouble buying the product at a local feed store that had trouble keeping it on the shelf, so I literally left Canidae a couple of months ago and went to buy some other pet foods, but I wasn't happy with any of them. I sent Canidae a message that said, "Tell me how to do this. How can I solve my problem and get Canidae on a regular basis?" I never heard a word back from them. They didn't care about me. However, I've gone back to Canidae. I went to the food store that I deal with and made an arrangement with the seller. He'll order Canidae pet food ahead of time for me so that I don't have to go online to get it. Canidae was very helpful for all of our pets. I’ve been very happy with the product, but their customer service sucks.

I have a 7-month old Boxer-Lab mix and I’ve been giving her Canidae Grain Free Pure Foundation. I also recently bought a few cans of the Grain Free Pure Lamb food as well, just to occasionally add into her puppy kibble. Canidae is hormone and antibiotic free meat. They weren’t using any sort of fillers or grains and the meat was not some kind of chicken meal or something ground-up random meat.

So far I’m pleased. I think she likes the food and it seems to go as far as we want it to go. It fills her plenty because she doesn’t overeat right now. She’ll actually leave food in her bowl once she gets full. So far, she’s extremely healthy and hasn’t had any problems. She’s growing really great and seems to be really having a good coat and good energy. I wrote a message to the Canidae Company on their website because I noticed the packages have these Canidae points and so I was saving them. I under the impression that it was for something having to do with buying more food, but they said that only certain stores participate and the store we happen to use doesn’t participate.

One of my cats can't tolerate the chicken protein and there's no chicken in Canidae canned salmon. She was losing the hair around her mouth, around her head and her ears but when I went on that formula that problem disappeared. In fact, she has not had a shedding problem so I think the food contributes to that. So I've been buying them for her for three or four years now. It stinks but it's very palatable and digestible. I also like the flip top for which I don't have to use a can opener so that's very convenient. However, I can't get the salmon line and I don't know what's happening. I’ve been purchasing Canidae Pet Foods for about ten years. Other people who breed my breed, Siberian Samoyed, have recommended it. They’ve tried many other things and this seems to be what the better breeders use. It’s what I recommend too. Anybody that buys a puppy from me stays on the same diet because Canidae hasn't had any recalls. It’s all meat and has no fillers. Dogs are allergic to added fillers and grains, especially the arctic dogs like the Malamutes and the Huskies. My specific breed gets gluten allergies and skin problems and if someone takes them off Canidae.

The Siberian Samoyed is atypical because it’s an arctic breed. I’m in Florida and there's not a lot of snow for them to play in so they are really prone to skin problems. It usually manifests from food so if I feed them great food, their immune system stays up. Skin allergies are not that bad, though. I have two breeding pairs of Siberian Samoyed and seven puppies. I wean my puppies at three weeks with Canidae adult food. I pulverize it and mix it with water. That’s the first food they know, and that way I can see after three weeks through the eight weeks when they go to their new homes if they’re going to have issues with anything. I use all of Canidae's products because they’re equal except for the one that’s has the salmon. I don't like it and it’s rancid. The dogs love it, though.

I also use the Canidae Wet that comes in a can. It’s a little energizer and I give that to my boys before they do agility. I put it on top of their food like a frosting. They go nuts over it. I do like that Canidae gives me a break after I buy so many bags. Every once in a while, I get a free one which is so cool. Canidae Pet Foods also sell a breeder’s bag of 44 which I need. I run for some every week and a half and this is not something I can pick up at the grocery store. I’ve got to go to a feed store. So far, I’m very satisfied with Canidae.

Today we bought the chicken-flavored Canidae dog food, and she actually ate some and she actually seemed to enjoy it. It's a very encouraging start.

I want my pets to live as long as they can and good quality food is important for their longevity. I was directed to Canidae Pet Foods by the store and I've been buying them for three years.

The Wheaten Terrier does the Life Stages because the Labradoodle is allergic to chicken so he's on something else. We tried it on the Labradoodle but he had a lot of little red dots on the belly. But the Wheaten Terrier does really well on Life Stages and we also use the large breed canned food for him. In the morning, he gets half a can of the large breed food and when I come home at night, he gets a cup of the Life Stages and half a can to a quarter can of the large breed. He seems to like and enjoy that. I like Canidae's frequent buyer program where if I get enough I get one free. I usually end up eventually getting one free and that's an incentive for me. My dog was on Canidae for almost a year and a half. Large breeds tend to drop the little kibbles everywhere so having a larger kibble was really important to me. Also, I was told that the lentils are the slower burning protein and one of the things that my dog would do was consistently be hungry. So I was looking for something that would last her a little bit longer and burn a little bit slower rather than her eating a meal and feeling completely starving again.

The biggest reason I went to Canidae was because of the shape and size of the kibble. They came out with their new large breed duck and lentil formula and there were obviously very few large breed formulas out there. Their pet food does a really good job - they’ve got great ingredient panels with very few and incredibly valuable ingredients which is really nice. Also, there’s not a whole lot of fillers and byproducts in there so the dogs tend to use the ingredients that they’re eating which is really important.

My daughter suggested that I get Canidae for my pet as she had given this pet food to her Labrador retrievers. I've been buying it for my pet for 13 years and he usually eats every bowl of it. We had switched to the senior food at the vet's suggestion, but my pet didn't like it and wouldn't eat it after a couple of weeks. So I've gone back to the All Life Stages food and I'm mixing the two brands to try to use up the senior food.

Canidae was recommended by a dog trainer that we came in contact with. We started using it and the dogs do really well on it. The quality of the food, being that it was human grade, and the ingredients that were in the food were the reasons we purchased it. We have two full bred beagles and we feed them Life Stages. There was a point in time where I hate to admit that we started feeding them another brand due to some other issues that we were having and it basically was killing the dogs. One of the dogs got extremely thin and it was not good. So we switched back. You think, “Oh, dog food is dog food.” But no. They did well on Canidae versus this other brand. It’s a very good product and it is something that we only feed our dogs with.

I purchase it at a place called Mini Pet Mart here in Grants Pass, Oregon, and the people there are extremely kind. They save a bag for me every other week and work hard to get us understand what it is they're selling.

The natural ingredients are really beneficial for my dogs and I can tell that they aren’t being filled up with garbage. I have three terriers (8, 5 and 3 years old) and it's important to make sure that their energy is kept up for them when it comes to nutrition. Also, I enjoy the fact that Canidae participates in a proof of purchase program where I collect those poundage things and I get a bag free. Having a little bit of incentive is always really nice and I appreciate that.

The dogs and the cats thrived on it, and we didn't have any issues whatsoever. We used it for years. However, it's expensive, and I think that deters people from feeding their animals proper food. Nonetheless, I would absolutely recommend it to people if they could afford it. We don’t use Canidae right now because both of the dogs are gone now. So we just have very, very senior cat who we changed to some geriatric food from the vet clinic. But now we just adopted another cat. We’re thinking of switching back.

And then, we got a new Shepherd and Pitbull mix puppy who's about 20 lbs, and she's also eating the same food. I like that I don't have to feed her puppy food. Because it's the All Life Stages, I don’t have to worry about whether or not my puppy is eating an adult food, or whether my adults are eating the puppy food and getting fat. Also, our dogs probably feel better if they’re not eating a lot of grains which they wouldn’t eat in the wild, except for grass if they’re not feeling good.

We were paying so much money for their food, and for someone who've had dogs for over 35 years, I'm thinking, the more they’re pooping, the more is coming out. So we put them back on the Pro Plan and it seems to be a lot better. But aside from the stool, I'm satisfied with my experience with Canidae. We then looked around and went to Better Dog who suggested that we try Canidae and we did and it's been great. Our dogs are really healthy and our vet bills are much cheaper. He used to have problems with his ears and teeth, and after we switched him to Canidae, he started eating and we had no problems with him. The vet couldn't believe the difference in his health, and she attributed it to the food that both of our dogs were eating. We really like Canidae. We have cats that range in age from about two years old all the way up to one who’s turning 12 soon. Then one cat is sick with kidney issues and we were having trouble finding a pet food that was low in phosphorous so we got Canidae food grain free. Feeding them with natural ingredients is really important as we figure we either pay for it upfront in the food or pay for it afterwards ‘cause they have a lot of health issues. We don’t want to put our cats through stuff so it makes more sense to give them the important things like nutritional building blocks than to always have them feeling sick.

It was doing so beautifully for us for so long. But we had a situation about a month ago where our cats – all of them – stopped eating the grain free dry and would not touch it. In order to get everybody back eating it again, we’d put some Hypo-Lite P in as we have a cat that had some pancreatitis issues. They picked out all the Hypo-Lite P parts and left the grain free stuff behind. For some reason they just lost the taste for the dry food and they don’t want to eat it anymore. I then switched to another brand of grain free cat foods, and they started eating it like that was no problem. They're currently on a different no grain dry, but same wet. We’re back totally fine in terms of the wet food.

I’ve grown up with cats since I was little. We had one cat with a urinary tract issue but the other ones never did. We never had any problems with inflammation nor digestive issues. All of a sudden, they’re taking out all of the magnesium from food, or at least lowering it. And because it should be in a proper ratio with calcium and phosphorus, that’s where we got into trouble with the phosphorus--it was wreaking havoc on our cats’ kidney.

I’ve noticed in my experience that ever since there’s been more additive to foods like carrageenan and guar gum, there’s more inflammation issues. And since the magnesium has been reduced in food, there have been more issues like pancreatitis as well as other aspects of being able to digest food. My understanding is that everyone does that to conform with the AFFCO requirements. The difficulty is they’re now showing that it’s the overall pH of the urine that’s causing the problem, not the amount of magnesium in food. So the more alkaline or the more acidic the urine, the more likely magnesium crystals are to precipitate out and cause the problem. Nobody’s bothered to take AFFCO to task and say, “I think we’re okay to put the magnesium back in.”

I believe that we will have a lot less health problems in cats. Every once in a while I have to supplement them with magnesium. And my cats’ eyes are brighter and greener, they don’t have constipation, diarrhea, inflammation, they don’t throw up as much. If I could wave a magic wand, and somebody somewhere could get together and research on the actual fact that it’s the pH of the urine that’s causing the problem, not the actual magnesium in the diet.

I would buy Canidae to the day I could stop buying it because that would be my go to thing no matter what. I know 99% of the issues my cats have are related to that. ‘Cause as soon as I give them a bit of magnesium in their diet, the problems would stop all of a sudden. Another thing is that my cats are fish cats, and if there was a fish-flavored dry cat food, I bet I wouldn’t have a problem at all, but I love Canidae.

I purchase Canidae for my pets and the rescues. I started this on a wolf dog that I obtained years ago, and the person that couldn't keep her anymore told me how good it was and it was very reasonably priced. Then I got this other higher content wolfdog that would not eat any brand of dog food. I started her on the Canidae pure salmon and she loves it. She has also gained weight and looks a lot better.

I also have some rescued cats that I have on Canidae - one group of cats is on All Life Stages and a special needs cat that's on the Canidae pure salmon cat foods as well. It has made all the difference in the world. Their coats are nice and shiny and they've gained weight and look much healthier. I like that it's grain-free and there's not a lot of different things for animals to be allergic to. I've lost animals to cancer and I believe a lot of our dog foods was contributing to that, so feeding them natural ingredients is very valuable.

The Platinum seems to be better because it's keeping my dog's weight down and the only reason I buy the other one was when we're out of the Platinum one, but he liked it also. A year and a half ago, he was 10 pounds heavier. The vet said to have him drop 10 pounds. With diet and the exercise, I did it, and it took just six months. Now he's looking good. Everyone comments on his coat because it is shiny. I have no idea if it's the food. I give him an egg a week too because I've heard that's good to do.

I was working in the pet food store, and I really enjoyed the Canidae ingredient list. When you open the bag, you can tell by the smell that it's mostly protein from fish, which is great. They had a special running for employees that knocked it down to 60 percent off and that's what originally got me hooked. Then I quit that job and I've continued to use Canidae. I use the PURE Sea for my cat and a ferret. It has made my pet's fur softer and I feel that she's very healthy. The quality content is high and the calories are great so I don't go through the bag as fast. In a perfect world, if it could be cheaper that would be great but I'm also willing to pay for what I'm getting. I love it and would recommend Canidae.

I rotate the different flavors and she does well on all of them. Sometimes, removing the grains would also help and that worked for her. She stopped chewing her paws and her coat came back. Her coat has never been shinier on any other brands. She’s a black Lab. If her coat’s really dull, it’s really obvious. But if her coat’s really shiny, she sheds a lot less. I have two dogs, poodle terrier mixed breeds, that were on Iams. I tried this brand and found my 10 lb dog could not chew the kibble. I tried breaking up the kibble unsuccessfully in the food processor, putting it in a plastic bag, and using a meat tenderizer...no luck...and soaking it with chicken broth and only the outer part of the kibble would soften, but the nugget was still rock hard. I am most disappointed with the lack of caring customer care at the company. I called the company directly and the girl I asked basic questions to did not know the answers, e.g., What is the percent of meat and what percent are the other ingredients?

My one dog was defecating twice and much. The color was different and not to be gross but it was wet and not solid. I left my name and number. No callback. Later I emailed and got Beth who was vague in her responses like stating, "Meat is the first product listed." Yeah, thanks Beth, I see that. Several emails later and proof of a purchase code provided Beth still needed some other code to identify the patch. And then Diane came into the picture after several days and wasted email frustration with Beth...and Diane was an identical twin to Beth. She never answered the questions either but sent me a long email telling me how great Beth was...WOW. Good luck with this business plan at your high price point and terrible customer service. I am going back to IAMS. THANK YOU for a horrible experience that I paid for having when I purchased your poor product.

I currently have a four-year old chocolate Lab/Vizla and an eight-month old Yorkie Papillion and they're both on Canidae All Life Stages. Even when I had my 17-year old dog, she was on the same food as the puppy. All Life Stage is easier and I didn't have to buy multiple kinds of dog food. I think feeding them natural ingredients is much healthier than feeding them processed food. I get compliments all the time about how shiny my dog's coat is and how his skin is. It's got to be due the Canidae dry food because that's the only thing he's ever eaten on a daily basis, besides a bite here and there of people food. I'm very happy with the product and definitely recommend it.

I switched to Canidae Life Stages as my Border Collie-Australian Shepherd mix got older and it has been very good. It has helped him reach the age he's at because 15 years is a long time for a Border Collie.

My daughter told me and showed me everything about Canidae and I've been purchasing it for a little over 10 years now. I have four boxers while she has two schnauzers. I've been feeding the dogs Life Stages because of what it does considering their different ages (one's a senior, another's six months while another's seven months old). With Canidae, they've been very healthy and their coats are shiny. Furthermore, I was glad that I was using Canidae when there was a thing back then when dogs were dying because of food from China. The only downside on this dog food is the pellets are small and bigger dogs sometimes choke on them. But other than that, I've been pleased and happy with Canidae.

I played softball with someone who shows Newfoundlands and he told me about Life Stages so I purchased it. We use and switch it every once in a while to a different flavor. I have been feeding my golden retriever and terrier mix with it for four years now.

I used to feed my pit bull Natural Balance but then they changed the formula. They sold the company which they didn't tell anyone. My 5-year-old pit bull, Swift, got a horrible rash and the vets didn't know what it was. I ended up switching to Canidae and it cleared it up. I love Canidae and have been using it for four years now. I like the Pure because my pit bull can't have chicken or grains.

We love Canidae. I've got five dogs; two Pit Bulls and Chihuahua mixes and I can give Canidae to all of them. It's not the garbage stuff from the grocery store and it got decent ingredients in it. My boyfriend was feeding his dog whatever he could get from the grocery store and I got him to change over to Canidae. I’m very satisfied with them. They're a perfect company and would recommend them to a friend.

I've been using Canidae Natural Pet Foods for about two and a half years since my dog was a puppy, an English Bull Terrier. I used Life Stages in particular because that was the one that was recommended for my animal. I always recommend Canidae.

I’ve been getting Canidae for my dogs. I tried to limit the rice contents and the other foods have chicken and rice, or lamb and rice, and so on, and the Life Stages seems like it has more meats in it, so I try to use it more. I’ve recommended them and already have a couple of other friends that are using it.
