My cat was having dental issues. I submitted my claim after she had surgery and I was sure they would find some reason not to pay. The claim was paid without problem and very fast. I was so happy not to add the stress of an insurance problem along with my cat's problem. Love them!

Web site is not as easy to use as others. You can't remove listings of pets insurance policies you no long use nor can you remove vets you don't use any longer. Customer service is often very slow as is the payment of claims. You never know when a check will be deposited in your account, you have to keep checking which is a real pain.

I like this insurance because of what it covers for my pets like doctor visits to name a few. They always ask about my pets, Bennie and Bugsy. It shows me that they care. That personal feeling makes a difference to me.

ASPCA has been GREAT! My German Shepherd when a puppy hurt her paw, brought to vet and there was a chance it was an ACL tear... After hearing what that may cost, I got pet insurance, and luckily I did! Not too soon after she had severe food allergies, ASPCA has paid for itself tenfold. And FYI it wasn’t an ACL tear, she just a typical drama queen German Shepherd.

I was going to drop my coverage with ASPCA because of the pre-existing rule. But kept it, after you changed the definition of a pre-existing condition. That said, I've always found the service to be great, claim payments fast, the premiums fair and the staff to be knowledgable and helpful. Ed and Cats. Please don't change the pre-existing condition definition from its current language, even if it requires a premium increase to do so.

Very happy with my experience with ASPCA. Calls are answered by a real person. Always pleasant, friendly and helpful. Claims are handled promptly. Unfortunately my rescue puppy turned out to have a lot of medical issues but with ASPCA’s help I was able to address them and she is now doing great.

I highly recommend this company. I've tried 3 other pet insurance companies over the past 12 years and this one surpasses all of my expectations. ASPCA Pet Insurance has been the difference between euthanasia and a quality, albeit challenging, life for my gentle giant. Unfortunately the premiums increased by nearly 30% after the first year. I am hoping this is something of a one off and will update next year as to whether this is a tenable long-term option. As things stand, they have otherwise been phenomenal- payments are processed quickly and efficiently.

On the website, there is a check box that tells you all the things that *may* be covered. Pet neuter/spay is on there. Well, apparently it's not necessarily covered, as in our case. I'm furious because I assumed it was. They didn't cover a dime of a $600 procedure. And their callous call center representative wouldn't do anything for us, even though the site says it is, with a green little check mark. This is the reason we went with this pet insurance vs. any other pet insurance, and we're out of luck.

ASPCA is fair in their coverage, the deductible is tough to meet when you have healthy dogs. I do like how much they cover and for what they cover. I always recommend ASPCA to my friends when I asked what insurance I have.

We have had our puppy for about 12 weeks, and we are about $2,600 deep in vet bills, and haven't even hit our $250 deductible. This plan has denied coverage for just about everything, stating things are all tied to the few issues our puppy had in the first 14 days. While I understand her coccidia she had on her first day would not be covered, I never expected them to deny our claim for acute conjunctivitis because it showed similar symptoms to potential redness she had in her eye months prior. I also didn't expect them to deny our $1000 worth of claims for gastroenteritis, stating that too was a preexisting condition.
The claim processing information is vague, and they just provide a number for why they denied a claim - no information regarding the medical records they used to make the decision. You have to sit on hold and then talk to the folks with customer service to try and understand why they denied your claim, because an explanation is not available via self service. There is no easily available information with regards to how you make an appeal, so you're supposed to write a document and send it to the parent company's email, who will take 30 days to even review it.
The claims processing is so slow, that if you have hopes of being reimbursed before paying your credit card bill - forget about it. Dealing with this insurance provider has been disappointing and an added stress on top of all the vet visits and health issues my puppy has dealt with. I wish I would've never signed up for this $60/mo plan, because it's been absolutely worthless to myself and my family.

To clarify, like other pet insurance providers, we do not cover pre-existing conditions. And, we define pre-existing conditions as a health problem that occurs (i.e. symptomatic) before coverage is effective or during an applicable waiting period. That being said, with most conditions that are curable, once the condition is cured, symptom, and treatment free for 180 days, we will consider it to be a new condition and no longer pre-existing. My 12 year old Cavalier King Charles had TPLO surgery in May of this year and I was blown away how quickly I got my claims check. Since his surgery we have been trying to figure out the cause of a cough that won’t go away. Needless to say we’ve done lots of xrays and medication trials. ASPCA has been wonderful throughout this experience and I am thankful my boy can get the care he needs.

I am so pleased with my decision to use ASPCA as my pet insurance. It has certainly improved the quality of life for both of my dogs! If you love your bed, get this pet insurance! My five year old blew out her knee and would never have been able to have been mobile if not for a costly operation that ASPCA covered. They are easy to work with and always helpful.

Last year my husband and I both retired. We have to watch the money we spend, that's when I got the idea of pet insurance. I've always 3-4 pets and now that I am home I didn't want to change that. All I have to do is take them to a low cost vet clinic for their shots, allow for my $250.00 deductible with APAC for each animal and I can budget my pets vet needs each year. What a relief it has been, since my animals are young, I don't know if I have saved a lot of money, but the worry is gone and that is a blessing! The staff is professional, very nice and I get a quick turnaround for claims.

My 2 year old Rottweiler had to have bilateral knee surgery in order for her to be able to walk for the rest of her life. During this heart wrenching, difficult time I was comforted by the fact that I had this policy and would be able to get my baby the surgery she needed to stay alive. It’s 8 months later and she is good as new and ALL expenses were covered by my plan and I was reimbursed thousands of dollars within 3 weeks of the surgery without any trouble or red tape at all. Having this great coverage kept my girl alive and has given her life back. I will NEVER be without it!

I've had multiple claims with my great Dane over the two years I've had this insurance. Claims are easy to do. Payments for reimbursements come quickly. Never had any hassle and usually get a courtesy call a week later to check up on my dog based on what the injury or illness was.

The only thing that could be better is if the did not exclude pre-existing conditions and if they processed claims faster, of it the vets would get paid by them directly, like people insurance. It took a couple weeks to get my reimbursement. but they do a direct deposit, which is convenient. I was a claims adjuster for 7 years so I have to say the underwriter who processes their claims is pretty good. Now I just wish we could get vet care to improve... Ha.

My horse sustained what would have been a life-ending injury had I not had ASPCA Pet Health Insurance. Instead, he has not only survived but he is anticipated to return to FULL ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE as an event horse. Coal is the absolute sweetest boy, with a huge personality and a loving nature. He is a horse who loves people, loves attention and whom I love with my whole heart. Coal had 2 hospital stays, major surgery, multiple rounds of regenerative therapy, x-rays, ultrasounds, emergency visits, a multitude of medications and it has all been covered with no hassle, the easiest claim submittal process in the industry and incredibly swift payout. Nearly all of my claim payouts have turned around in under 5 days, even surgery. Meaning, a direct deposit into my checking account so I'm not carrying a credit card balance.
I'm telling everyone I know about the outstanding service and coverage we've received and I'm happy to say I have had 3 friends with a total of six horses who are now covered, I'm so happy for them, knowing they too will have the opportunity to provide the care their horses need in a crisis. I had to take our dog, 12 lb labradoodle to the vet for repeatedly throwing up. After all the blood work, x-rays and fluids, my pocket book had depleted quickly. The coverage I had selected when first signing up was for 90% reimbursement. Once I scanned in my receipts I quickly received my reimbursement check. Well worth my monthly fee.

When I first signed up with this pet insurance company it took 4-6 weeks to get a return to my account after the deductible was met. That was frustrating however, they have sped up this process and the last several times I have submitted claims it has only taken 2 weeks. I am happy that this has improved. My dog Sammy became sick with liver dysfunction in March of this year. After evaluation at our veterinarian, he was referred to an internist at a veterinary specialty hospital. There, he had tests and liver biopsy and 3 days of hospitalization. At that time he had been covered by ASPCA Pet Insurance for only 8 months. However, ASPCA covered all cost including post-discharge care. He is doing very well but the tests are still continuing. I have recommended this pet insurance to our vet. I cannot speak highly enough about my experiences with my ASPCA pet health insurance for my sweet 4 lb rescue dog. I adopted him in 2017 and he showed up on my doorstep very ill. As a first time dog owner I knew I needed to be responsible when it came to making sure I could afford to provide the best treatment for my sweet little boy. Since day one I have felt supported and more confident because I have my ASPCA policy. In April he was diagnosed with auto immune triggered meningitis and instead of having to worry about the $5,000+ vet bills piling up I just had to worry about getting him healthy again. We’re 3 months into treating the disease and I’m already seeing improvement. I can’t recommend this amazing service and the kind caring people who work there highly enough.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a personal call (left on voice mail) from a care consultant asking me about the service. It was so nice to hear from a real person that I felt compelled to call back and when I did complimented on the new easy online claim forms which are so convenient as well as the email alerts to let you know your claim has not fallen into a big black hole. My Rottweiler had a growth on his gums that was biopsied and needed to be removed because it showed signs of cancer. Reimbursement was fast, approx a week after the surgery, but the Initial office visit took a little longer to process. Everything came back good after the removal???

This was the best investment I’ve ever done. This company personnel are professional answer all question and handle your claim in a timely matter. I never had insurance with my 1st dog and regret it since he had many stomach issues and eventually past from lymphatic cancer. Out of all the pet insurances I have had the ASPCA Ins has been the best. I recently had to use because my little ChiPug was attacked and her face and mouth was mauled. I filed a claim and within 3 days they had reimbursed me. My little Brandy still has a lot more to go through and each time I have filed a claim they were right on it. You cannot a better insurance for your pet.

I have had both my pets insured (Melli - Rottweiler) and (Mia - Puggle) with ASPCA for several years now. Their keen personnel have always be easy to assist and help me address issues and have always come through for me.. A few years ago I switched to ASPCA pet insurance for my Bernese Mountain Dog. I feel the coverage was excellent for a fair price. Every time I contacted the about anything I was totally satisfied with the customer service. It was easy to submit claims and the response time great. Unfortunately 3 weeks ago my boy became very ill and was diagnosed with cancer. The representatives could not have been kinder or more caring. They also provide aftercare in their policies which was very nice that I could send my boy over the rainbow bridge from home instead of going to the vet office. I’ve received cards from them and even a call. If you’re looking for good pet insurance look no further. ASPCA is the answer.

I have had accident insurance for two of my dogs for over a year now. Customer service has always been friendly and if I have any questions they explain things well. Obviously I have not gotten everything reimbursed, that’s how insurance works. My insurance documents are very detailed and I know exactly what money to expect back from ASPCA when I go to the vet. I strongly recommend this insurance if you want a cheaper alternative to a full coverage insurance.

My kitty just passed away, so I no longer have ASPCA insurance, but I cannot recommend them enough. Claims were processed very quickly and I never had a problem with anything. My cat had kidney disease, so she required lots of tests, prescription foods and vet visits. Every claim was handled quickly and I never had a problem. I never once had to base care for my cat on whether or not I could afford it with ASPCA, and that gave me a great peace of mind.

I appreciated when ASPCA took a second look at a claim I filed which they originally misclassified and, therefore, did not pay completely. After I reaffirmed the facts and circumstances of my dog's treatment, they reprocessed the claim reasonably quickly and then issued payment. They were very attentive to my appeal and follow-up in the process. I withhold one star because, based on the information first provided, it should have been paid fully the first time.

Overall it is very easy to file claims as long as you have the receipts for all services. I just wish the deductible was a bit lower and that pre-existing conditions were covered by our plan—this is something I really think should change. However, it still helps us so much to have this insurance plan.

I highly recommend ASPCA pet insurance and will use them again in the future. They have been incredible while my beloved cat was sick and unfortunately passed. When I submitted the claim for her euthanasia ASPCA pet insurance customer care rep called me to express their deepest condolences and it was followed with a personalized card. They even cancelled my coverage for me so it was one less thing I had to think about. Truly a wonderful experience. Everything was always easy and simply with submitting claims and understanding our benefits.

ASPCA has strengths and weaknesses. One thing I find very distressing is when a pet has allergies they attribute every single problem with their skin as being attributed to allergies and then deny the claim. Even when faced with other documentation. Also their continuing care classification is horrible. An animal might get cancer and be covered. If the end of their policy is the next week, the poor animal will not be able to continue to have coverage if the policy end of year happens to take effect right after they've been diagnosed with a disease. Getting coverage should have nothing to do with the day the police expires.
In a way, this policy has the effect of making sure that my pets have no coverage for several months of the year even though I'm still paying for it monthly. I feel this is a very misleading business practice. If they are covered originally they should always have coverage as long as the policy is in force. And real coverage, not $100 of "continuing care" which is almost useless. Thank you, Alette

ASPCA insurance was the best investment I have ever made. My dog got very sick and her bills have hit around $7000 to $8000 in less than 1 week. The insurance helps when an accident happens and also helps with some of the cost for wellness care. But if you have a larger breed with larger doses of meds (flea/tic, etc), you will max out the coverage, and if your vet charges more than customary for their services, you will end up getting paid for normal charges and footing the excess your self. I believe the plan assumes you have a 20 pound dog, that is what it seems.

I have received quick and helpful information every time I've called. I paid the one year cost up front, and happened to have needed claims in the 11th month. It was very easy to submit, and after the deductible, I was easily reimbursed for costs. I bought the $500 deductible, then 80% coverage up to $15,000/year, but there are many options to choose from!

After having dogs all my life, ASPCA Insurance has been my very first experience with pet insurance. I didn't see the value back when pet insurance first became a "thing", but then I had a Lab that had 2 ACL surgeries and many allergies... and we didn't have pet insurance! So we called him the Million Dollar Dog! We recently got a puppy and I immediately researched pet insurance policies and found ASPCA to be most comprehensive and a fair price.
So far, my experience has been great - ASPCA makes it easy to submit claims and they are very quick to process the claims. I selected the option to have credits deposited electronically to my bank, so it's a paperless, quick process overall and I have had no reason to call anyone to intervene in the process at all. Would definitely recommend ASPCA to anyone considering pet insurance for their fur baby!

I never thought about getting pet insurance for any of my pets before, but I'm glad I decided to get it to help me with my dog's vet bills. I would recommend this to a friend in a second! The only improvement I could think of is to send out reminders about payments coming out. (I'm not sure if they do this and I just didn't sign up for it or if I just don't see those emails.) I pay quarterly and it would be nice for a reminder that a payment is coming out before it actually comes out of my account.

The ASPCA Pet Insurance is the best on the market. You hear so many horror stories from customers of the competition! ASPCA has always been prompt on reimbursement, thorough on coverage, and quick and courteous whenever there has been an issue (which is rarely). The flexibility to take your pet wherever you need to and get them the best care possible without breaking the bank is really a lifesaver. Our dog had to have two surgeries this year and ASPCA covered almost everything and we were able to bring her to a premium facility that we wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. So far we have been very pleased with this insurance. We rescued a dog that has had a few medical issues pop up and they have all been covered, including a trip to the very pricey emergency vet on a weekend night. Also, if there was a more robust/automated way for ASPCA to obtain invoices from the Vet, it would reduce unnecessary paperwork and boost efficiency in claim resolution.

When I got my new cat Amber, I decided to get pet insurance because my precious cat Feisty (RIP) had chronic health problems. After researching for a few days I decided to go with ASPCA because of the flexible plans and the low-cost. So far I have been extremely impressed with this insurance. Amber has had upper respiratory infections, ringworm, and now excessive wax production of the ear. I just had to have an MRI done for her. If it weren't for ASPCA pet insurance I would have already paid over $2,000 but instead I've only paid a little over $200. I can't recommend ASPCA highly enough!

Each and every time that I call the ASPCA Insurance Company, I am greeted warmly and kindly. I am treated with nothing but respect. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure that all of our babies are appropriately covered with insurance, and that their needs are being met not only with insurance needs, but also with the veterinary care that they received.
One of the things that always stands out to me, is that each and every person that I have talked to has taken the time to get to know how we have gotten each and every child that we have, and that means a lot to both me and my husband. Have been very pleased with ASPCA since purchasing coverage 2+ years ago. We've had to submit a number of claims related to our labrador retriever, Chuck. ASPCA makes the claims submission process easy, and they usually approve claims promptly. Only comment/recommendation would be to allow for entry of multiple different vets under one claims submission for instances where the animal went to both a regular vet and emergency center for the same issue.

I am so happy I found ASPCA insurance for my cat! It's been nice knowing that I'm able to take my cat to the vet and not be completely broke afterwards! We’ve had ASPCA since we got our first dog almost 5 years ago; they’ve exceeded our expectations! All 5 of our dogs have coverage through ASPCA and thanks be to GOD. We’ve had a few unforeseen incidents and luckily ASPCA was there to help with the costs. We’ll never have our pets lives in anyone else’s hands!

I purchased pet insurance for Jack several years ago and it has been a life saver! Jack was diagnosed with a liver disease in February and the bills just kept piling up. I have been so pleased with the customer care, help with submitting claims and fast reimbursement. Submitting claims online is so simple and really speeds up the process. And that staff on the other end of the line have given me so much emotional support through these trying times! I would recommend this pet insurance to anyone with a beloved pet.

All of my interactions with ASPCA have been phenomenal. They even sent me a condolences card when one of my dogs died and called me a couple of weeks later to see how I was doing. It feels like a very personal touch on every aspect of my experience with them. The claims are all handled in a very timely manner and I receive a check within a week of a clean closing. ASPCA pet insurance has been absolutely great since I enrolled with them 4 years ago. The online app makes submitting and tracking claims super easy and stess free. I've dealt with other pet insurance claims in the past and none compare to ASPCA, the coverage is the best by far and very easy to work with. ASPCA is a must for your pets! Our 6 month old lab broke his leg in an accident back in October and they literally covered 90% of the cost we incurred during that time. Our other lab was sick and needed to go to emergency clinic, they covered maybe 80%.

ASPCA pet insurance has been wonderful. I had a different company in the past and ASPCA has proven to be much better as far as cost, ease of use, and prompt repayment. I just renewed both of my dogs policies for a third year. I have a 180 pound Saint Bernard that is about to turn 8 in a couple weeks and every other pet insurance company was going to charge me an insane amount due to being a large breed that is considered senior age. ASPCA charges me a lot less than any other company and it is extremely helpful considering he has to be on anti-inflammatories and pain meds for his joints now. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get your pets' health insurance.

I have been using this insurance for both of my dogs since 2012. When they say they will cover 90% of your pet's accidents, injuries and illnesses, that is not exactly true. Since I began using this insurance in 2012, the plans have changed and now they offer better plans than what I currently have. For instance, they will cover 90% of the "average cost" of treatment for my pets in my area and not the "actual cost" of treatment.
The average cost for my area is never anywhere close to being 90% of what I pay at the vet. When I called to inquire about upgrading to the newer plans that base your reimbursement off of the actual cost instead of the average cost, they basically said if my dogs have any issues going forward, in relation to what they have covered with this older plan, they will no longer cover it because it will then be considered "pre-existing" even though I was insured by them at the time of the initial diagnoses. However, if I keep the current plan, they will still cover any issues that arise, based solely off of the "average cost."
Considering one of my dogs has torn both ACL's and both Meniscus ligaments while being insured under the older plan, I am too scared to upgrade and then she have a complication in regards to those 4 major knee surgeries down the road. When speaking with Sarah, who works in the "Questions About Claims" department over the phone about how this is not a loyal program to clients who have been with them for several years, her response was "Well it is better that we cover something rather than nothing at all."
The way I see it is that I am paying $67/month, my dog's most recent vet bill was $862 and they only reimbursed me $462. If I put $67/month in an account for my dogs each month instead of sending it to insurance then I would come out much cheaper than taking the chance of insurance not covering the bills. My biggest complaint is that they do not have any type of loyalty to customers such as myself, who has been with them for 7 years now and for me customer service is everything. Without great customer service and the willingness to take care of your long term clients, how can you expect to keep those clients?

My insured min pin recently passed away. I had a hard time with the loss, but the staff at ASPCA showed sympathy on the phone, sent me a very special remembrance card and made I was paid back the resulting euthanasia costs quickly. It means a lot when a pet insurance company, even though the insurance premium payments will stop, goes the extra mile to comfort the insuree. This spoke volumes of the care and concern ASPCA representatives give a client.

I am so glad that I have this insurance for my cat! Claim submissions are easy and processing is fast. The only thing that I have difficulty having to fill in when submitting new claims on the same illness is that I cannot ever remember the first date we discovered and initiated claim on this illness back in early February and every claim asks for this date each time. My dog recently had a surgery on her knee. I contact customer service to see if we could get the reimbursement expedited due to it being a large sum. They were awesome and not only expedited the reimbursement for the surgery but other costs submitted that are related to the incident. I have never been happier with a choice I have made, I am SO glad I signed my dogs up for ASPCA pet insurance.

Working for a vet, I am familiar with many of the pet insurers. ASPCA pet insurance is the first one that I would use. The other ones make everything so much of a hassle it is not worth it. Getting a new puppy is expensive and you have enough to worry about without worrying about them getting ill or their wellness visits. It has been the easiest, smartest choice I’ve made, along with the adoption of Winston from a high kill shelter. Makes his health a no brainer. He was from Arkansas at a high kill shelter- originally found in a dumpster there from a puppy mill. We adopted him at 8 weeks (estimated) This chiweenie mix is gonna get the best of care.

Our rescue, a Chihuahua has recently been diagnosed with Mega Esophagus, a disease where the esophagus has no muscle tone and the food that she eats does not go into her stomach and is digested. She was diagnosed and all of her meals have to given when she is in a vertical position and she has to stay in that position for 20 minutes after each meal. ASPCA Pet Insurance has been with us all the way and has covered the majority of charges for this expensive diagnosis and treatment. They have evaluated our claims in an expeditious manner and have direct-deposited the payout directly to my checking account. We have three rescues and they are all covered by ASPCA Pet Insurance and we would highly recommend this policy to anyone with pets.

The insurance is great. I make my claims through the app, if I have any questions about whatever I speak to a Customer Service Rep. The Reps are professional, courteous and extremely attentive to solving your problems or just answering a question. The claims are handled pretty quickly too. My only problem is when I either get no reimbursement or when it is extremely low.

Although their customer service is wonderful, their insurance policy is terrible. They will do everything they can to not pay. Even with an appeal and a letter from the vet stating that it is not a preexisting condition, they still claim it is and won't pay. My dog was hurt jumping from too high off a bed. They claim her breed is prone to back issues therefore her injury was not an accident and they won't pay. Get a care credit account and save yourself the money and aggravation. What you'd pay monthly for their plan that won't cover anything is far more than the interest on a care credit account.

Only had the pet insurance for just about a year when we found out Jake had a hip problem. Vet said we be looking at about 3800 for the operation. Told the vet we had insurance on him but I’ll see what they can do. Contacted ASPCA insurance and they let’s say unbelievable on how they help. They said have Vet sent a estimated on cost and they would look at it. They paid all most of the cost with no questions. Can say enough about these people GREAT service and very helpful. Such a peace of mind with them. They even called me back a couple of times to ask how’s Jake doing. If you care about your pets talk to these people!!

My dog was injured and required emergency care. After submitting my claims I was only reimbursed 50% after the deductible when I should have been reimbursed 80%. When I called they said my Vet charges too much... Compared to other vets in a geographic location. This location can be hundreds of miles away. Gives them an open door to pay what they deem is "fair" as opposed to the actual expense. Beware!!! They have language that reads "normal and customary" in the clause. Does not pertain to "normal and customary care" just charges. Total BS... They say they will reimburse 80% of approved charges. They will approve the charge but only reimburse a fraction. STAY AWAY!!

ASPCA Pet Insurance has helped me throughout my pet's life. The online claim center was easy and it only took a few weeks for the claim to be processed. They notify you all throughout the process. When I needed to call for information, the team was helpful and very kind knowing you're dealing with a health problem with your pet. Finally, at the end of my dog's life, I put in my last difficult claim for her euthanasia. My claim was processed within a week and I even received a condolence call from them. I will certainly use ASPCA Pet Insurance again when I'm ready for my next pet.

We got Coco our Labradoodle when she was 13 weeks old, a happy go lucky girl, till one day around 7 to 8 months she got a urinary tract infection that would not go away. It took surgery to correct a Hooded Vulva called a Vulvoplasty. ASPCA PET INSURANCE stood by us all the way and covered the cost of all the expenses the way the contract was written. No Questions asked. We still have our dog thanks to them.

I submitted my claim 10 days ago. They informed me that usually it takes 2-4 weeks to process a claim. That right there is an odd frame of time to give for claims processing, but they informed me that due to a “high volume of claims” it was going to take 3-6 weeks to process my claim! That’s totally unacceptable. I’m canceling this policy immediately. If this is how slow it takes for them to process my first claim, I can’t imagine what it will be like to deal with them in the future.

I’ve had accident/illness and wellness coverage for about 2 years. In the last year, my 10 year old labradoodle has had a series of issues - liver and kidney disease, pancreatitis and recently diagnosed a Cushing's disease. Accident/illness coverage has allowed me to ensure that she has the best veterinary care including various lab tests, ultrasound, biopsy, and hospitalization. Her illness are being managed well with meds that are about $300 per month. The 90% reimbursement after meeting our deductible is a lifesaver. The wellness coverage is fine but the accident/illness is excellent. I’ve been reimbursed pretty quickly and after submitting all pertinent info, reimbursement was only delayed once when they needed to contact my veterinarian for additional info. I’m very happy with my coverage and the customer service.

I took out insurance on my frenchie when I first had to file a claim I felt it way too long. Almost two weeks maybe larger the second one was two days done finished. I really appreciate the fast service. I was going to cancel because of the very slow claim and emailed them regarding that matter. So the second one was very fast, very professional and I received notice my claim was finished two days. I am going to keep the insurance. It is really good coverage.

Getting pet insurance was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. Having this insurance has saved me so much stress. My kitty got very sick shortly after signing him up for insurance and it was a very stressful time. It was nice not having to stress about his vet bills and be able to focus my attention on him getting better instead of focusing on the financial aspect. ASPCA is great about processing claims right away and I am usually reimbursed in less than two weeks. Their customer service is also really great. They are very helpful and respond quickly. Overall, I have been happy with my ASPCA insurance. I have found them to be fair when reimbursing me for vet charges. The one thing I am not happy about is how much they have increased my premiums this year. I am not sure if I will be able to continue with this insurance due to large increases in premiums.

I feel their claims processing/turnaround time has become much longer than when I first purchased this policy a few years back. Originally the turnaround time was pretty much less than 2 weeks. Now, it can take anywhere from 4-8 wks....

The claim turnaround time has gotten much longer than when I first became a customer. It went from weeks to longer than a month now and if I have multiple claims put in, they don’t get processed altogether. It now takes twice as long as it used to to get claims processed.

It would be nice to be able to see your whole claim you filed instead of just the dollar amount. Also one of the reasons I went with your company was because the claim process was no more than two weeks. I was told my first two claims because I was still in the process of paying my deductible it was fast to get a denial letter but when I was able to get my refund it's now taking 6 weeks to get my claims processed. Would be nice to get them faster.

I don't love the pre-existing condition rules surrounding ASPCA's pet insurance. I feel it is a bit immoral for humans and animals alike. I also find that 6 weeks from submitting a claim to reimbursement is too long. This has happened several times to me and recently that time has gone down but not by that much.

This is by far the best pet insurance I’ve ever had. The client portal is so easy to use and my claims are processed so quickly with no hassle. I am so very thankful for ASPCA Pet Insurance. The first year we only needed it for routine care, we didn’t even reach our $250 deductible amount for it to reimburse. The second year though, I was VERY THANKFUL we had it. We don’t have children, our dog is our family. She came down with a nasty UTI costing about $3500 over 4 months time. Our total cost after meeting the $250 annual deductible was only 10%, so about $575 total. That $3000 difference was the DIFFERENCE between having to make a hard decision—go into debt, or surrender our dog so she could get proper treatment. Without ASPCA, those would have been our options and neither was one I’d be able to forgive myself for.
I tell everyone I know to ADOPT, SPAY/NEUTER, and GET ASPCA PET INSURANCE! It’s called being a responsible pet lover. Our total annual cost is $660 in monthly payments plus $250 deductible before being compensated for 90% of covered costs. If there’s any chance you may spend $910 in a year or $1820 in two years (and so forth) consider pet insurance! The app is easy to use—snap a picture of your invoice and upload. Have your bank info on the app and receive reimbursement between 30-45 days from submittal. Having ASPCA insurance has been a god send. I was recommended it to me by a family member, and it truly has paid for itself. The online portal is easy to use, uploading invoices, etc. is so easy and I know when I go to the vet I'm covered by such a good plan. Really happy with this insurance.

My experience with Aspca insurance. I have been quite happy with this insurance plan. My dog contracted cancer not too long after we purchased the plan and they have paid out more than $5000 for for his treatments. After he lost his battle they sent a very nice condolence note.

I bought ASPCA Pet Insurance when my cat chose me to love at our local PAWS. Of all the kitties there, he liked me! They gave me a paper on purchasing the insurance and I sent it in. I have had it for over 3 yrs now and have been impressed with the customer service when I have sent in claims. I usually take photos of the Veterinarian's receipts and post them to the ASPCA Ins site. Then I call the Ins and talk with the lady and make sure they received them all and if there is anything else they need. The operators are always kind and helpful. I have the payments to me channeled right to my bank account. Simple and very helpful too and not expensive at all.

My claims have been processed fairly quickly and procedures have been covered. When I call the customer service reps are always friendly and very helpful. They have followed up on claims and called me back to notify me of status. ASPCA has been a blessing for our family.

They took care of my claims in a timely manner. I had no idea the sickness some dogs get. I am so grateful I have pet insurance. This company has showed me I can trust them with the care of my very loved Romeo.
