TruthFinder was recommended to me by a close relative who uses it quite frequently. Their service is affordable and easy to use. I would not hesitate to use this company or recommend them if the need arises. The Customer Service representative I spoke with was excellent! She was very knowledgeable, understanding and helpful.

Looking up a person to verify information that was told to me. Everything I was told checked out and was complete in all areas. Found the process very easy to follow and the results came rapidly and quickly. Very easy to follow directions.

I paid for a background check and I was satisfied but when I turn on my computer every morning in my office and you pop up with a special offer for more information on the person that I had checked out is way overboard. I have people in my office that I do not want to be seeing these kinds of ads. I will cancel because of you pushy bold intrusions!!!

The reason I became a member of Truthfinder, was to locate some Army friends of mine. I was successful in finding the friends that I was looking for, however, some of the telephone numbers listed for my friends were outdated. I would recommend the Truthfinder services to all my friends.

Amazing customer service. Representative was a breath of fresh air on a day that hadn't been so pleasant leading up to the call. I decided to cancel because Truthfinder provided me with all the information I needed last month and no further use of the service was needed but I will use the service in the future, if needed.

A young lady helped me with my account. I like Truthfinder, but it was too expensive for me. She helped me sign up for a plan that was more affordable. As a result, I will be able to continue my membership.

When I signed up to get a one time search for 1/2 price, I did not know that I was signing up for a membership. I called and talked to Shatoya who was extremely courteous and helpful in cancelling my membership and the latest charge for that membership. Very professional!!!

Some what disappointed due to the fact details that were given could have been found any where and absolutely no legal info was noted, when I knew personally about legal problems certain persons looked up had. Also info that was given was not up to date. In fact a few had passed away years before and it was never mentioned when I pulled their name up.

My experience was very good. I was able to obtain the information that I was seeking and the system was very easy to navigate. The information was comprehensive, clearly displayed and easy to understand. I would use Truthfinder again if I ever needed such information.

I was on the site because a friend told me about it and I was checking my name Timothy ** and there was a lot of things on there that was not true. They even had a charge on me from a state that I had never been in. Looks like they had another person with the same name mixed up with my information. Is this legal and what can I do about it. I was using Truthfinder to find out the background and arrest records on an individual that I discovered was being very untruthful. Once I had his arrest records I was able to then research what each charge was and the levels of each charge.

My friend is a Vietnam Vet suffering from Agent Orange exposure and does not use a computer. He asked if I would try to track down his 2 daughters that he had not talked to in 25 years. Truthfinder was highly recommended on the internet so I gave it a try. Truthfinder came through in flying colors. My friend and his 2 daughters had a reunion last week, He is one happy guy.

I requested and paid for a one time report in July in August I got billed recurring. Information on website is not upfront. I was not aware of recurring charged. The rep today assured me cr is forthcoming and recurring charge removed. The recurring message should be more visible to subscriber it is deception not to do so.

Good for basic information. Good thing is you can also get informations of other relatives and friends who are associated with your desired person. You can choose one of them if you have forgotten them earlier. I appreciate Truthfinder created such an amazing website that gives you immediate basic information about the person you are eager to know. Good luck.

The information they provided in most of the different categories was incorrect or had connections that were grossly unrelated. None of the informations was useful...very basic info that one could get on their own without needing to pay for it.

We purchased this out of curiosity. We first did a search on our immediate family just for fun to see what information was out there for the world to see!! The information we found was very accurate, helpful and interesting. Was impressed with the sex offender map and location, we strive to keep our children safe.

My experience with Truthfinder over the past month has been very good. I called to speak with an agent on three occasions and each time was a pleasant experience. During the second call the agent said she would enable me to see more details but I couldn't when I tried after the call but it's ok because like I said I found what I needed. I have told some of my friends about my experience with Truthfinder in case they should need this service in the future and I would definitely use it again should I need too!

I found it very easy to use Truthfinder. There was a lot information to be had and the search was complete. I received the information I was looking for and it helped me a lot. I found out some true things and some things that were lies. The report helped me to make the right decision for my life. I would tell a friend to use it to make sure the person is who they say they are.

Most information was accurate but there was a lot of additional information that was not relevant to person. I had some alias that were out of state and don't know how that got on the information because it certainly was not accurate.

I first looked at the review for myself. My timeline was missing a lot of things. Many of my "associates" are people I have never heard of. My assets are listed incorrectly. Much of the information about houses I own or have owned is outdated or incorrect. My professional information is outdated. The only correct information are the names of my children and my husband. I tried to make corrections but when I logged in later many of the changes were not made. I then looked at the information about my children. I was shocked at how incorrect it was. Wrong spouses, addresses, professional information. Frightening! I would not recommend this site to anyone! There are many places to find information that are correct and free.

Elisa, the customer service representative, was excellent. She quickly diagnosed the problem and corrected it. She was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The resolution of my problem could not have been better handled. The whole situation presented Truthfinder in an extremely positive light and as a first class organization.

I tried Truthfinder because I’d seen some reviews that said they had an inexpensive low cost trial option. I went thru the signup option, kept waiting for a screen to tell me of trial offer or at least what monthly charge would be. I went through PayPal since usually Paypal tells you what charge you are putting on your CC, but I never got a screen telling how much I had been charged. Found out after looking at account that my charge was $27 for first month and that telephone info was an additional charge. Tried to cancel online but cancellation process just put me in a loop that never gave me option to cancel. Long story short, called a customer service rep and was able to get charged reversed even though that is not policy to do so. Was given an all access option at half the going rate so I’ll try it for a month to see how it goes. This background check industry seems to be a big racket but at least this companies CSR tried to make it right.

The customer support person who took my call today was outstanding. In addition to taking me through the process of changing my charge card she responded to other questions I had on account issues and TF services. She spoke clearly and well. I much appreciated her assistance.

Truthfinder was an valuable tool in checking out the backgrounds of a family that has contact with my grandchild. I was shocked and dismayed at the number of criminal convictions, including a pedophile, that was in that family. My eyes were opened and I thank Truthfinder for helping me to protect my 10 year old grandson to the best of my ability.

I found the information I was looking for. The client should be able to dictate which fields you want to review for information and get a report only on those fields. This report is very time-consuming in the initial processing of information.

Needed to send flowers, did not have an accurate street address, family was in shock, getting the street address from Google wasn't accurate enough, needed a little more certain location for the street number. The town uses post office boxes for nearly all its residents, and all mail goes to ganged outdoor PO boxes located on each block. Highly unusual arrangement. Truthfinder made a difficult moment very gentle and reassuring...

Truth finder is real. You actually get what you pay for. I sign in to Truth finder looking for someone and I was able to connect to that person but that's not the best part. I’m a state prosecutor. My wife is a respected physician. When going through the multiple steps of seeing what would show up for my wife’s name—which Is a free process for anyone with a computer—the Website claimed that my wife has “2 potential criminal records,” and then described her as a “potential criminal.” These claims are obviously false. This is an outrageously fraudulent way to generate business. Truthfinder, you can withdraw this language about my wife (and presumably other consumers) or I’m going to take the next step toward suing you in a court of law. Thanks.

I didn't write the first review with any intent or expectations of being contacted. The thought of any reimbursement wasn't considered either. I was irritated at an oversight on my behalf and I can't place any fault in that regard on anyone other than myself. I needed to find a guy I sold an item to on eBay. And it was easy name, address, city, etc. With that I get more information than anyone needs in this case. However I get to know who I am dealing with.

Ordered a report on myself and after wading through the billboard flashing opening, got to the "pay me" prompt which I did. Fortunately through PayPal as there was virtually nothing in this "report" that was current or relevant. I know myself and my past and this outfit missed it all except a few previous addresses and some financials, also woefully incomplete. A semi-scam really, get a little info and rake in the dough. Talked with one of their reps who assured me a refund with email confirmation was coming immediately. Of course that didn't happen so now they can deal with PayPal as a claim is opened.

I am a real estate investor. I primarily use Truthfinder to vet the applicants for my rental properties. It has proven to be a reliable source. It has helped in weeding out applicants who have been less than truthful during the interviews. I would recommend it to anyone!

So when I typed in research myself it says that I was part of a Terrorist group. I just want to make it clear that I have never been a terrorist or been associated with one. I do not understand why your website would even say that I was. This very upsetting and also the different names that are on there, I have never used. So you really need to look at your website and correct those issues, they are very offensive. Or is it because I'm Mexican.

When I saw the and when I was looking for how much anime series voice act or get paid I saw the ad so it interested me and was using my phone that does have wifi and not 4g. Anyways it is basically a table now unless I have to get rid of it because my papa who I live with got me a new phone on which is a flip phone and wants to get rid of the touchscreen one so I tap the ad I go and search my name to see if the ad like it said could tell about me and my ancestors and everything about them and me s as I search on the site my name Connor **. It offered me all of the name searched and did an advance search it search by. I used Truthfinder and the information is old and outdated. I called the company and they did not offer my $30 back. The information was over 5 years old!! It advertises that the information is up to date and accurate.. Ummm nope!

They don't provide marriage, divorce, or other court records, except criminal information, their property and addresses information is often inaccurate, and they make a lot of other strange mistakes. I looked up an old friend, a writer in MA, and it had him down as a police captain in Oakland, CA! They have my ex-husband's middle name wrong, so I wasn't sure it was his information I was looking at. My own report was very inaccurate, too. They listed someone else's Facebook page as mine. It said that in 2018 my step-mother purchased the house she sold in 2001. Very strange collection of errors. I recommend sticking with what you can find free, online. There was nothing there I didn't already find online through google searches.

This service has been critical and so important. The only issue is that some information that should be there is not up to date, even when pulling up my own profile. I understand that it takes time to update, but there should be information from several years ago that isn’t included. Please end my use of Truthfinder immediately. I found so many inaccuracies in my own background check that I DO NOT trust anything else that I read. There were people's names on my own background check that I DO NOT know. There were also names of family members that are DECEASED for years and have wrong information under their names as well. I was able to find out pertinent information on the people that I looked up. Some were family. It was really useful to me as I really needed addresses and all of the addresses were there. So this was really appreciated as I needed to write them for family matters.

I am very picky about just about everything. Truthfinder is about the highest quality service I have found for anything anywhere. I met a person on a dating service who would not tell me his full name until I met him in person. I put his name in Truthfinder and found out he had felony assault charges in the past. When I asked him about it on the phone, he admitted that he had assaulted his ex wife! He was angry that I found this out. Needless to say, I ceased all contact with him. Truthfinder may have saved my life!!

Experience with the detailed reported provided was really good. It was quick and pretty accurate, except for the suggestions about close family members, because I have none other than my husband as an adult family member. I think the analytics shouldn't look for last names to find close family members in all cases but should also include other input criteria like race, number of years lived in the USA, etc.

Also, the report did not show any type of problems with credit. She is a very rich woman living in Southern California and knows how to take money out of other people's accounts. It looks like you don't do anything with credit reports. So TruthFinder seems limited as to that area..

There is far too much bad and outdated information to wade through just to find out what most people want to know. I took advantage of a special one month at 50% off and still feel like I paid too much for the information provided. There was so much bad information on my own name and it was impossible to figure out where it came from and why it appeared. There is very little provided for the six or so names that were actually related to me that I could have found nearly all of it on my own without joining Truthfinder. There was also some very important missing information that Truthfinder did not locate that I know is available via public record search. If you choose to use this website be aware that all the information you receive might not actually pertain to the person whose background you are researching.

Credit reporting agencies, white page sites and a host of other online information services have 10 times the information that this site has. Most of the information is missing, incorrect or the timeline is wrong. They charge a one-month unlimited report but if you don't cancel, they will continue to charge you every month. This is a crap site that should be taken down.

I ran a background check on myself to see what might appear under my identity on Truthfinder. They did not have my current address as listed on my legal state drivers license. They even listed a city as a residence where I have never resided in my entire life. When I saw that this information was incorrect to start with I was not about to pay their fee to see what else they have wrong about me. The mistaken information they give on a persons background can be destructive of one's future endeavors.

BEWARE!!! This company will make unauthorized use of your credit card for purchases not authorized. Simply stated.... his company is running a SCAM making unauthorized use of your credit information.

I recently subscribed to check this out, unfortunately couldn't find what I was looking for. I want my account settings to cancel my account, which takes you through 3 or 4 different prompts to confirm cancellation. I insured that I followed the prompts to cancel, until I saw a verification of cancellation. I assumed everything was done, until I checked my credit card today and saw that I was charged. I called them but the customer service person said that there wasn't anything that they could do, so now I have to turn off my credit card and block them.

I am the chair head of a high school reunion. I've been paying $27.00 a month for this service. I was paying an additional $4.00 for email access but cancelled that after finding emails were not accurate. I was using this service to get classmates' addresses. Some I obtained on Facebook but hundreds were not on Facebook. So I came to Truthfinder to find them. Since we are doing two classes there are a lot of addresses to get. I was cut off/suspended in the middle of my research because of the concern I was looking up too many names? I've been paying monthly for premium unlimited services, clicking the Captcha proving I am not a robot, signing in with my email and password. Yet I was suspended. Which only proves they are watching you and there is a limit.

This is a fake site. They will only instantly start sending you spam like **, sex sites, dating sites. Is this what you want on your computer, and it will never end until you change your email address. So are you ready to change your email address? Then go ahead and give it to these scammers. I didn't even do a search and got cold feet and tried to cancel what I was doing but it was too late. Shame on these people. How does the government allow this to happen?

I would give this service zero stars, but I have to put at least one to let other users understand the uselessness of this site. I wanted to look up my grandfather's information, who passed away in 1967. I was particularly interested in the vehicles he owned, so I saw that this site claimed vehicle records based on county records. When I paid the 28 dollars for a one month option, which was the cheapest, they then charged another 4 dollars for the PDF file it created, which was ridiculous. I then opened the pdf, which was the only option to see the results, and all the data returned was his name, birth date, and day he died, and the last city he lived. Then they proceeded to let me know all the sex offenders around his house. Complete garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Very unsatisfied!

I signed up to find out a few things about a shady individual I know, I paid and got started. It said your report is ready then wanted a additional 27.95 to let me view it. The only thing they told me was my own name and where I have lived which was places I have never been to. It also told me of relatives that are NOT my family. As a parent of 4 kids, I was trying to find current information on my second son, who left for California (leaving from Oklahoma) in about 2014. Well, first of all, his timeline showed his birthdate, but not the location (Illinois). This was the case with all of his relatives (my own reports as well) and "associates" reports. His older brother was NEVER born, specifically in Michigan and then relocated to Texas. There were no education records found and licensures in his medical field (he was a COTA in MI,OK,and CA) or driver licenses and up to date registered vehicles. Useless info. Included many "associates" or neighbors from previous addresses. The Real Estate and Property Tax info from his addresses were useless for my purpose. Previously by using a Bing search, I had already found that his OK Medical Board's COTA registration had expired. Nothing in his timeline.

They told me I was on a government watch list. There is no way that they can even have that information. I freaked out and almost worked myself up into a panic attack until my husband got home and assured me that this whole site is a scam. I bought the one month only option to check on two dubious relatives who want to visit me. There was much accurate info such as addresses, work, etc. so the DUI and other info is likely correct so I now know to save myself the visit from these two. The actual problem however is the receipt just received in my email. It is not for payment of the one month. It seems there is a bait and switch and like the poor slobs above in this complaint chain I will be billed into eternity if I do not call the number. So many have said this is an exercise in futility to call and be on hold for hours and I am in Europe so the phone bill will be enormous. TruthFinder finds a way to place the most misleading, slanderous, erroneous, even malicious statements regarding a person. I found they were associating me with people I do not know nor ever will know. They listed addresses that I have never been to, let alone resided. If I were a dog, Representative Maxine Waters would shut this company down in a heartbeat, however being a law abiding citizen, They receive monies from honest people wanting to do research on others and see what they have falsely included in such reports.

Truthfinder.com did not provide me with any information that was useful. I’m trying to locate a deadbeat dad that owes me quite a bit of money. I was hoping to find a current address, telephone number or place of employment. I found absolutely nothing to help me locate him.

I did a personal background check just to check for accuracy which costs $27.95. All the information can be found online and the accuracy was off on many items. I would think twice about spending your money with Truthfinder.

I first put in the name of one of my children to review the accuracy of the information. It lead me to others and I looked up myself. I was flabbergasted. I’m very disappointed because they are advertising you can find out facts about people and it’s simply not true. You are also associated with people you don’t know. They also had my grandson who was born in 1995 paroled in 1969! You have no idea what these people are like and what does that say about you? I have learned my lesson. Do not believe what people post about you even if you pay for it.

BEWARE-the information you may glean is neither accurate nor complete. And once this company has your credit card they will continue to charge their overpriced fee every month, even when you cancel the service.

I took the plunge to try and locate an old school mate with Truthfinder. I looked up my own name and some other friends and family and the info was highly inaccurate. Everything that they show on your report is very easily found on social media, court case records and tax records, and those can all be used for free. This is not an in-depth search by any means and for 28$ a month I would expect more. Never did locate my friend and what info I did find was false... I want a refund and I want this lousy bogus product off my credit card. If I get charged again this month I will look into a lawsuit for false advertising and fraud.

I've never heard of my "relatives" listed on here. The phone number is from the mid-1990's. I did not purchase so who knows what flat out lies are on here that may belong to someone else's "public record". For this reason I requested to opt-out.

The opt out option has never once sent a confirmation email. After submitting it multiple times on different days the only thing to come into my email is sex spam. The email was set up specifically to opt out of this site. Right above the opt-out selection on the website says: "Once you click the "Confirm Opt Out" button inside the email you receive, we will begin processing your Opt Out request which can take up to 48 hours. Any email address submitted with this request is ONLY used for the confirmation email." Blatant lies.

None of them have me on their watch list of being suspicious a terrorist or in any harmful activity. I had sent a photo of your display to them and now my questions to you: Where did you get these false statements from? I want the copy of whom was the person or persons to have created this against me? I want a copy of the form of the person with their name with their contexts. Send it to my email address.

I signed up for their monthly $27 package and one day, I happened to notice an odd $4.99 charge on my VISA statement. After HOLDING on the phone for over 20 minutes, I finally got a customer service person (Sherie) on the line, who was very nice and I explained that I had NEVER authorized the additional $4.99 charge and didn't know WHAT it was. She said that 7 months ago 'someone' had used my account and looked up a phone # and when that occurs, they auto-bill each month thereafter for $4.99! First, I never looked up a phone number. Why would I, when we can do that for FREE online? And even if I did, what moron would allow Truthfinder to subsequently continue to bill $4.99 a month into INFINITY after looking up just ONE number?!?!?!

I ran a report on a gentleman that I am seeing that I am very fond of. I paid $37 which I barely had to find out that he is single. Now I am getting he say she say that he is married and stumbled upon a woman on Facebook and him holding a baby and the woman's last name is hyphenated with his. I want to believe Truthfinder but I'd like either a refund or a rerun of this story so that I can get to the bottom of it and put my heart at rest.

This is a rip off. In order see the information they have on you, they want you to purchase a subscription for several months, a year or $29 for a month. This is extortion. I am a Senior Citizen living on social security. I have a right to know what information a person or company is publishing about me. I should not have to pay for it.

Why cant companies tell you up front what something will cost so you won't have to jump through so many hoops to decide on buying that service. Truthfinder is one such company, PLUS they insinuated that I had several histories of criminal activities when I know it to be a complete, and utter lie. I have never committed a crime in my life, and have no knowledge of any family or friends who have either. I dont know how legitimate they are, but that really made me not want to pay, and would have stopped right there if I knew the cost up front. So yeah, that 15 minutes of questions was not worth it.

I wanted to look up information regarding myself. I gave my name and email address before starting my search. I verified several questions about myself along many pages (age, relatives, residency, etc) stating they were compiling and loading information regarding my records. Their "findings" are misleading as I know I do not have a criminal record nor am I on any watch "list". After stating my report was ready, it requires a payment to proceed. Withholding that information regarding payment until the end is shady enough for me not to proceed.

Truthfinder has my deceased mother, who has been dead 11 years listed as though she was alive. Truthfinder has her living at locations she never lived at and lists relatives that were not related at all.

I tried their service but did not buy anything, I just got to the point where I had to sign up for a monthly service and decided based on reviews that I wouldn't do that. They really should off a one-time service that doesn't automatically renew. When I got to the point of adding my email address I became skeptical so I read their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and in neither of these did it state that personal information would be sold or given away. Still skeptical I signed up using an alias email of "myemail+truthfinder@gmail.com" of course "myemail" is mine, not literally my email. I then began to get SPAM emails, that look like phishing scams, from multiple sources, all to this email alias and only after I did not sign up for the Truthfinder service. It's been many months and I still get several emails a week, almost every day. It's very annoying and is an illegal practice.

I ran a Truthfinder on my son. I knew about his life till around age 21. Then he came back in at age 37. He's now 39. Truthfinder did NOT find any of his 3 arrest records that I knew of from his past. Only found a few of many addresses. I was looking for more arrest records, driving record, etc. His house had been foreclosed on in September and Truthfinder didn't find that in March. His car was before that. VERY DISSATISFIED. DON'T USE, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

I encountered Truthfinder through an internet search. The short description indicated it as a free service. I went to the site because I was receiving postal mail addressed to a person I do not know, but with my street address. I entered all the required information (requiring multiple web pages). When I entered my email address to receive my report I was informed that there was a fee. So I declined. Since then, I get a pop up notice at least once daily telling me my report is "waiting for me". I emailed Truthfinder to ask how to stop these pop ups but received no response. I have run two malware programs which do not find malware on my computer. I Truthfinder's technique to be invasive of my privacy and unethical.

Overall I appreciate the service. More detailed info about criminal activity would be better on a person. I'm still floored on why I can't find myself. I have put in all the info I have on me. I overall C+/B_-.

This site is horrible, I want to cancel and I have tried everything since November and they still keep taking out money from my checking account. I have called, can't get thru, canceled on site, and emailed and no answer back. They are awful. I am going to get a consumer help company to help me.

We had an incident with an acquaintance/new friend and he was arrested 2 houses away with police and sirens wailing. We attempted to find out the circumstances and being unfamiliar with internet research, wound up with Truthfinder. After going through the built up drama provided by Truthfinder in while "searching" for the data, it was inaccurate and without current criminal charges (while the guy was sitting in jail). I subsequently found the information myself, which is really saying something. I immediately sent an email to remove my subscription, received a email reply telling me to call them, and now I can't get through to them.

Truthfinder listed a person I was searching for by name and previous, known to me addresses at the right age 71, which is concurrent with my age and generation, as I was searching for an old high school friend. After I paid the $27.78, TF revealed that the actual age of the person was 89! The only truth I found was she died at the age of 71 in 2002 - 18 years ago!

When I registered for Truthfinder's service in January 2019, they offered two Opt-In Payment choices: (1) a one-time, one-month use of the Truthfinder website (this is the Opt-In I selected); (2) a recurring, monthly Opt-In Payment (automatic monthly charge to registrants' credit or debit card, which I did NOT select). I purchased Truthfinder's services solely to check the accuracy of my personal information and that of two other family members.
