    I ordered a desktop computer from a website (SLI auctions), upon arrival screen was cracked. Website would not refund money, only offered instore credit. Stated I would be responsible for shipping costs for computer that was sent damaged. Filed a complaint with PayPal. Paypal sided with the business because I wouldn't send back computer for store credit. I had no issue sending back computer and I stated that. But to be responsible for shipping when none of this was my fault. What a joke. I've used pay pal for close to 20 years. Not anymore. Buyer beware, at one time paypal cared. Now just another company looking out for themself along with the business they cater to.

    Well, grimy service. I was approved for $6000 credit card less than a year ago. My daughter was having financial problems so I allowed her to use my card and it got up to $5, 750. I paid them $5000 and how did they reward me? They decreased my credit limit and wouldn't process my payment of my $5000 until the end of the month. Which reported to my credit that I got a decrease in my credit limit as if I was a bad creditor. I was punished for paying my card almost off and have been making timely payments of over the amount required.

    They want you to be in their debt so they keep charging you interest but the moment you pay them nearly off, they immediately report you to the credit bureau and decrease your credit limit. The only reason I didn't it completely off is to keep card open but will pay them off and ditch the card. Whatever you do, they're not reputable and I won't be using them or referring them EVER!!!!

    If there is a zero rating I won't hesitate. My account has been permanently restricted without a clear rationale. Upon inquiring about the underlying issues, the response indicated that my account is classified as high risk; however, they declined to disclose specific reasons or the transactions in question. Moreover, they are currently withholding my refund for a pair of shoes that I purchased. This situation raises serious concerns about the integrity of their practices SCAMMERS.

    Ordered pair of shoes online using my credit card. PayPal acknowledged order and receipt of payment. Immediately afterwards, PayPal sent me an email canceling my account with no specific explanation why. The seller never replied to acknowledge my order. I received no communication from seller—and never received the shoes. PayPal customer service refused to help me because they had closed my account and refused to say specifically why. Thankfully, since I used my credit card, my bank will investigate this fraud.

    PayPal limited my account meaning I could do nothing for unknown reasons. Customer service is unhelpful and trained in talking over you. They refuse to close my account or remove my personal and private information so I have had to contact the BBB to resolve this piracy.

    Very bad service and I didn't received my items and the PayPal was in seller's side, was no use using PayPal and don't recommend anyone to do so. The seller told me that PayPal has changed back so ask them for refund and when I ask PayPal they tell me to ask my financial institution for the refund, so someone is lying (Seller or PayPal), I even send pictures to PayPal what the sell has said.

    Paypal is definitely protecting scammers. I had two transactions recently that I sought a refund on. Both times the seller turned out to be a Chinese scammer. I submitted all the evidence to Paypal, including pre-existing reports to Scamwatch and police. They ignored this and didn't refund. I pushed things further, providing more evidence not just of how I'd been scammed, but also how this particularly seller was operating dozens of fraudulent businesses in Australia. Paypal ignored that too. They've also refused refunds on faulty goods, goods that were nothing like what I ordered, and goods that never arrived.

    Paypal definitely don't protect the customer and actually make it deliberately hard to seek a refund. On top of that, they charge an extra 10c in every dollar on top of the current exchange rate from AUD to USD. That's not fees and charges, but them deciding what the exchange rate is and setting it 10c higher than the actual exchange rate, and then they prevent you from having the currency exchange handled by your bank or another institution. Paypal collects that extra money. So as well as not standing by their own much-vaunted customer protection policy, they actively support scammers and are themselves defrauding customers. Maybe it's time all the disgruntled customers got together and started a class action against Paypal?

    I had a debit card as my preferred payment option. Then when I made a purchase it went through my checking account in which there wasn't enough funds to cover purchase. I call customer support but I might as well been talking to a wall. The customer service rep kept saying call the merchant because there is nothing they could do. Huh!

    I got ripped off by a company selling insoles, PayPal refused to protect my purchase, I ordered something said it was delivered and they refuse to protect me from being scammed. I feel they are all part of the scamming, will not do any business thru a company with shady business practices, buyer beware who you trust to. PayPal is not a good company. There are better out there.

    I was a cheapskate and bought a $200 2 burner Coleman Stove at the cheapest place on the web I could find (1/2 off) and got scammed. Paid with PayPal and after no communication with the seller and no replies to email. I googled the seller and found them to be a scam... Even to the point that the website is now no longer online. I sent PayPal my sad story and they immediately refunded 100% of my money and they (PayPal) ate the loss. THANK YOU PAYPAL!

    This is a very disappointing situation. First an ad said buy from Amazon Warehouse. $29.00 for “2 gigantic boxes”. Then I get a receipt with a letterhead of Amazon on it. Then I get billed for $111.00 dollars. Then I get a small envelope with a phone charging cord and a watch that doesn’t work. And PayPal is ok with this.

    I had a terrible experience with PayPal and I urge you not to do business with them! Their customer service is horrible; they rarely answer or return calls, and when they do, you often end up speaking with representatives in the Philippines who seem untrained and unhelpful. I purchased a pair of sandals in a women's size 8. When I called Farfetch's customer service, they assured me that size 38 in that brand was equivalent to a US size 8, which turned out to be a lie, as the sandals were actually 1.5 sizes too big.

    On September 3, 2024, I opened a case with PayPal's resolution team and provided pictures showing how oversized the shoes were. After 1.5 months of promises that PayPal would refund my money—even if Farfetch denied the claim—I was advised not to worry and to wait for 10 business days. However, they ultimately voted in favor of Farfetch and closed my case without any explanation!

    I managed to reopen my case after 45 days when a representative named Latosha reviewed the images I provided. She agreed that there was no reason for the resolution team to deny my case. But shortly afterward, the same team again voted against me and closed the case without further explanation! The size of the shoes I bought was falsely described as a true US size 8.     Worst financial platform ever. I was sent money via Paypal and was unable to retrieve it. I called customer service, waited 1 hour and when she finally got on the phone she could not help me. I still have not accessed my money. Horrible. Do not use it.

    I have been a member of PayPal since 2009. Their app failed me when I tried to enter the currency I wanted to use and it cost me money the last time I used them. Their customer service will not compensate me for their app failure claiming there was no error. I no longer trust them.

    These guys are NOT to be trusted. I submitted a dispute over $80 I paid to someone for artwork of a character of mine and I got SCAMMED. I got nothing in return for my money. I submitted photos of the conversation as proof of the scam. I got a SINGLE response from the seller claiming they were hacked, which of course is false. So convenient to be hacked when I pay you. PAYPAL sided with the seller regardless of my submission of proof and the seller's lack of submission of proof.

    Paypal has gotten worse over the years. They canceled my account because of a bank error from my bank. I corrected that and then two months later they randomly closed my account again. This is a major problem when transactions are being processed through this account. I am now looking for an alternative.

    I've been a Paypal Customer for 23 years, nearly since their inception. They've made accounts so difficult to access, that they are simply not a usable or viable service anymore. Whether a Small Business or Consumer, Paypal is NO LONGER a trusted place to either put financial information and most assuredly not a company to trust with funds.

    Dozens of calls to Customer Service..."Scan this QR Code", "Provide this document", "Enter this Code from your Phone", "Enter this code from your email", "Answer these Security Questions", "Contact Customer Service", "Answer 4-5 Challenge Questions", "Wait for a Callback", "Try this authenticator app", "Delete your account and start over..." etc., etc., etc...JUST to be able to log in! Why would ANY business trust their funds to this evil machine?

    Literally two years of never being able to reliably log in...on a 23 Year old account in Perfect Standing, Perfect Credit, Perfect Financial History and no functional escalation process, no empathy and not one shred of loyalty. PayPal was cute in the early's 2000's, but has become a joke of a company. PAYPAL -- NOT EVEN ONCE! And Beware -- Venmo is just as bad -- and they own many other entities. Do business with NO Paypal owned company. Google for a list! They are a company bereft of any apparent ethics. If there is ever a "Mark of the Beast", it will be started by Paypal.

    I have been with them over 15 years, never had a problem, whomever bought them reduced my limit by $8k because during a family health situation I used my other cards for 2 months. "increase in other accounts over 2 months." I have $34k in the bank, own 2 cars and make 6 figures, always make double payments and this is what we get for being responsible.

    The folks at PayPal seem to not give a damn if their products work, or not. I run a small nonprofit, and am not illiterate when it comes to web design, but trying to add a donate button took 2 hours, and I was never successful. The instructions are poor. The feedback button on their site doesn't work (tried in two different browsers). The "add for service fee" is defaulted to "$0" without any clear way how to edit it. Seems that if they want folks to donate through PayPal, they'd make it feasible to do so. I'll never use PayPal for anything I do. They're too big, and just don't care. Save yourself frustration and choose a product that actually works. This behemoth only serves itself, and deserves to disappear.

    My granddaughter needed money for school where she is attending in Rome Italy. I have used PayPal for many years in my business and sent her money 10/15/2024. She has now called and stated that the funds are on hold until November 5th, 2024. I can't get in touch with PayPal as they are on the left coast and their virtual assistant is useless. On my end, the money is showing sent. What a mess for a company that prides itself as sending money fast and easy! I am done wth PayPal, I am now looking for another way to send money.

    I’m the owner of an online business that has been using PayPal as a payment processor for 20 years. The problems with scams keep increasing and so do the PayPal fees. The people answering the phone used to be helpful. The people who answer the phones now have no idea what they’re talking about, are often rude and don’t seem to be very bright. I called yesterday to try to find out why PayPal appears to randomly be adding $7 to some of my customer’s orders. The person who answered had never heard of Word Press. His solution was to make a new website.

    You expect that using PayPal for a purchase offers you protection against fraud, scams, etc. NOT SO. PayPal will not protect you, and will not protect your money from scams. Use a credit card or Amex. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND PayPal, just like so many before me. I'll be closing my account.

    My experience continues to be horrible. I purchased a lawnmower from Aliexpress. I paid $308.19. I never received the item and tried to work it out with them. After weeks of getting the run around I submitted a dispute with Paypal. It was turned down 3 time. Now I feel like the claim was done using AI and not a real person. The information disappeared I that submitted to paypal. No one considered my side even having proof from Fedex who have a picture of a 1 pound package at a different address. If you can't tell the difference between a 1 pound package and a 71 pound lawnmower, I'll never get justice.

    DO NOT USE PAYPAL! They offer NO protection and are in favor of the scammers! I immediately called Paypal and had them on the phone as soon as I realized I was scammed by a scammer. They told me it was NOT a scam and proceeded to pay them. I was able to shut down my bank account. However, without any warning they sent me to collections stating I owed them $500. I have been trying to dispute this and of they tell me a supervisor will call me and of course this never happens. I do not trust them at all and not feeling very hopeful this will be resolved in a manner that actually protects people. Once someone is notified that a particular account is a scammer they should jump into action. I don't believe Paypal have trained and knowledgeable people working for them. I don't trust them having any of my information. I will never use them again and make sure people are warned.

    I have used PayPal for several years, and have used the Pay in 4 for more than 5 yrs. I have not had a credit card with PayPal. But now my Pay in 4 gets declined due to my credit score dropped. I don't understand how my credit score has anything to do with the Pay in 4. I still have the same bank account that I have used for years. And the 4 payments are automatically taken out. I'm very discouraged with PayPal. Probably will close my account all together.

    I’m a first time user of PayPal Pay and I’ve had a very disappointing experience. My first purchase was at CVS counter purchase and was very pleased. The second was at CVS self checkout with no hand scanner so was unable to use PayPal Pay. Other purchase attempts, WalMart, Aldi’s, Publix where complete failures with none of those merchants ever knowing about PayPal Pay and not accepted. So, the PayPay pay anywhere commercial of pay anywhere is just wrong.

    I’m still waiting for my funds to go back into my account that were taken out before the order could submit on the merchant end 9/29/24. It was said that it would go back into my account within 72 hours. I also called. They guaranteed Monday 10/1/24. Money still not in my account so I called again and now I’m being told it will be within several minutes to 24 hours. If not 24 hours then anywhere between 5-7 days. Well fast forward to today 10/2/24 and it’s still hasn’t been deposited back so I’m assuming it’s going to take longer but I’m almost certain I will have to call back for further assistance and a possible appeal.

    Thankfully that wasn’t my last 'cause I would be in big trouble. This has happened before and I had to wait for an investigation etc..and it took a while for me to receive my money back but I did receive it back. I wish they would have a better system for situations like this. I’ve used them before and for the most part it’s a good service just a couple issues that that need to be fixed.

    So they claim these payment were sent to State Farm yet I have had state farm agents on 3 way calls several times and told Paypal they do not have those payments but they still refuse to give me my money back.

    Don’t use PayPal! They don't stand up for you. I bought an item and when I received it, it was the wrong item. The seller would not respond, so I filed a complaint and PayPal said that I had to send it back at my cost. So unfair. I lose money for something a seller did. PayPal is losing customers because of this. The seller is a scammer and know this, so they just sit there until PayPal gives them your money, for something you didn’t order. Don’t use PayPal!!

    They don't allow friends and family payments if you have a business account, and they hold your money randomly. Their fine print says they can fine you for "misinformation" and take it straight from your bank account! What does it mean? That they are spying on users? Is this even legal?

    Paypal refused to cancel a pending payment when informed that the business was fraudulently imitating an authentic business. I called them within 10 minutes of making the transaction. They are beholden to merchants. Policies are unfriendly to consumers.

    PayPal is an IMPOSSIBLE company to deal with. If you have spent a large sum on something, do not receive the product, and open a dispute for the charges, you'll will be gravely disappointed. No humans work at PayPal. Trying to use their phone service is futile because no one will answer. The AI-based "assistant" is utterly useless, and any mistake that is made in the PayPal system cannot be corrected. This is probably THE WORST company we have ever had to deal with. If a product is not available on Amazon, we're simply not ever going to purchase again. Amazon customer service is 1000% better, and it is possible there to eventually speak with a real human. PayPal is full of egregious errors and glitches. Absolutely horrible.

    I am a content creator and Twitch streamer. I utilized PayPal through Streamlabs to accept tips during my live streams. $700+ dollars was accept but "on hold" for 21 days unless I accepted the payment (which wasn't noted anywhere on the website. Had to do my own research) so after accepting the payment it then said I can have MY MONEY in 7-14 days. Which is complete **. They take their fees and I have to wait for my money. Their lame and irrelevant excuses of "new account" "we need more info about your business" in order to get your money is pathetic. It's 2024. There's so many other money services better than this. I reached out to an agent and they were lifeless and short. No intention to help or resolve to keep a customer. Find another money provider.

    I am here to share my recent experience with PayPpal. After several disputes on this transaction, Paypal closed my case "in favor of the seller" because I missed the window to "escalate my case" by a couple of hours. I have used Paypal for many, many years without problem. I no longer will use this service as they continue to do business with noncredible agencies. My incident:

    Intended purchase of concert tickets. Thought I was purchasing directly through the event venue. Received an email from Tickets-Center.com with urgent messages stating I had to immediately accept tickets through link. Clicked link and my iPhone was hacked/compromised. Immediately started to get hot and all strange things happened to screen. Could not navigate the phone. It was moving around independently popping up weird apps and messages and I had zero navigation control. Bill processed through PayPal and payment to "Ticket Fulfillment Services LP". Purchase was a scam.

    Received another email from a fake Ticketmaster account with another link to "transfer" tickets. Nothing in my actual Ticketmaster account. Lots of scams reported on vendor online, including the BBB with 100s of cases filed against vendor. Multiple scams reported on vendor directly to PayPal on their community page. Of course, I thought I was booking directly through venue site, but no way I could have done my due diligence searching for Ticket Fulfillment Services LP considering I first saw this name after purchased through my PayPal app.

    Earlier this month our card was compromised...although I received a refund - and PayPal issued me another card. When my card did not come they informed me that because they were doing updates that the data was lost and they had to issue me another card. Because of this I have not been able to access my money. Because of this my phone has been shut off. I am unable to purchase pet food and I am unable to buy groceries nor am I unable to contact my ride service to pick up medical scripts. They keep giving me the runaround. They don't care about their clients. They do as little as possible to help their clients. They just don't seem to give a damn. I offered to pay overnight delivery of our new card. They refuse stating that they are sent out in batches. I regret EVER signing up with PayPal!

    I requested a refund from PayPal because the merchant did not deliver my merchandise. I also purchased the insurance. My camera proves that no one came by the day they claimed to have delivered the package. PayPal denied my refund. Whenever I spoke to an actual person I couldn't understand what they were saying.     Don't use with trying to pay with UPS. If your payment doesn't go through with PayPal, UPS still creates a charge with PayPal and neither company will release the funds. They blame each other. The authorization will have to stay on for at least 30 days. Really poor service and you'd think both PayPal and UPS could work together to fix the issue, but no. The left hand doesn't talk to the right hand.

    Purchased a toy from an online purveyor. All seemed normal. They even sent me a “tracking number“. The toy never shipped. Never was able to get through to them again. Reported this to PayPal and they refused a refund because ”I got a tracking number“. Never mind the fact the company didn’t exist (yet they do business with it). I’ll never use PayPal again.

    Do not use this company, I repeat do not especially if you have a small business they will not give you the same reason twice for holding your money, instead of just saying "Idk" or because "We don’t care about you or your customer," then you ask for a supervisor and they can’t transfer so they ask that they will call you back, don’t count on it until you call for the third time and by the way now your 24hr hold has changed to a 21 day hold.

    You finally get a call From a so-called supervisor that just repeats saying "We can’t do anything about it." What’s the need for the call center for y’all if you can’t do anything. It’s just a waste of time and you’re not gonna get your money. It will use Cash app or Zelle I mean, I recommend any other than PayPal and I would also recommend that to all my friends, family and other business members, as this company will not help you, they will refuse to help you, but it’s the same time they will hold your money putting you your customer and other jobs and other clients on hold and having you lose money waiting on them.

    So none of my issues get resolved by PayPal agents, they treat you like you haven't done everything you can on your end and only give options that you can do on your end, but only reason I contact them cause I can't solve it on my own. I deleted a old account and they say my Paypal me username link to it still so I can't use it on a deleted account! So I can't reclaim it on my new account and they won't do anything about it. they have no tech support department is what the specialist agent said over the phone and she sounded like a broken record trying to change the conversation to the one resolve she keeps giving, was to choose a different name, same thing on other issues, you won't get help. They only give you resolves that you could do on their website on your own. Anything that goes beyond that you're out of luck.

    This platform is ok for low-end payments. Unfortunately, it is also used by scammers. Paypal's "Review Process" is not legit though. When I prepaid for a $1600 contract service using the email Paypal address and was then ghosted by the contractor, I filed my complaint. I continued to email via PayPal to the seller with no response from the seller. I escalated the complaint. Paypal response was if the buyer and seller could not resolve the complaint, Paypal will mark the complaint as resolved. So no resolution equals Paypal marking the complaint as "resolved", when in fact, it is NOT resolved! Paypal supports scammers!! Do Not Recommend!!

    Purchased a product. Paid with Paypal. Product never arrived. Vendor claims it was delivered, but it never was delivered. My delivery address is a secure location - a UPS store which hasn't lost any of my deliveries for the 23 years I've used them. At first vendor said "your neighbor must have it" then they said "call USPS 1-800 number" but could not provide a USPS tracking number so USPS could not help. Paypal refused to investigate and trusts the vendors word over mine. After using Paypal for over 20 years, this was the first time I had a problem receiving my item and Paypal failed to protect my interests. Fortunately the lesson to not trust Paypal only cost me $32. I have closed my Paypal account and warn others to be careful if you ever expect Paypal to help you resolve issues with a vendor as they failed. Their automated system to raise issues was extremely rigid and would not let me provide any proof that package was not received.

    I ordered a product and was send it to the wrong address. I called PayPal to correct it. I explained to the representative what happened and she asked he if I had reached out to the seller and I explained that I had not. I didn’t know to do that and the representative stated she would help. The next thing I know is my account was locked so I called to see what happened and the representative put in the report things I never said. I tried to explain this to the person I was talking to but I guess they didn’t believe me and my account stayed locked. They explained it would take 60 days before I could close my account and get my money back. So after the time was up I called back. Now they said it’s going to take 6 months to close this account, that with it being locked it’s like it’s closed. Nothing about refunding my money.

    Having a PayPal account was an awful experience. I opened the account because I believed it to be a convenient way to pay for online purchases. This was not the case at all. Every time I attempted to make a purchase PayPal declined the charge and I'd end up paying with another card just to find days or weeks later they also charge my account with them.

    I was charged a late fee so often that I felt the account to be a serious burden. Even when I called to make them aware that I could not access my account several times and their site would not allow me to pay for some reason. I paid my account and closed it. My husband had the same complaint about them: Another disturbing thing is that they access several of our accounts without permission. What a relief! I'm never touching anything with their name on it. BEWARE!

Ok show me that I’m the one who did this purchase? But go around the question. No one can answer that. So I told them to close the account… These damn people said they can’t close it for 11 days. WHAT? So the people using my stuff can keep asking purchases from my bank and you guys won’t do anything about it. But just keep telling me your account can’t be closed. This has to be illegal.     When it comes to things they want customers to do (check out with PayPal, getting you to link your bank account, etc.) it's so easy and for a while, they were the only option, but now Apple, Google and others have caught up and surpassed them. Where PayPal is really awful is getting funds out of them, I cannot imagine how much money they make "riding the float" on customer funds. I requested a check for the $900+ in my account, they said it would take up to 14 days. After 25 days the check hadn't arrived so I reached out which means online texting because nobody answers the phone at PayPal, and it's the usual nonsense, they won't issue a new check but "a concerned member of our team will contact you in 24-72 hours to resolve this issue" which of course never happened. I then filed a complaint to them which is already several days old with no follow-up or resolution. It's now been a full month and I have no idea where my money is.

    I am extremely upset with PayPal. A so called friend sent me money WILLINGLY and then all of sudden he disputed it saying that he never received his item! I sent PayPal the proof of messages between this person and I and it clearly stated that he sent the money to help me with my 2yr old son's medical needs! And they still took his side stating my proof wasn’t enough! I’m a single mom and can’t afford to have my account NEGATIVE NOW! It’s unreal that even after the proof they still took his side!     I ordered sneaks on Facebook for $36. The total stated $47. I clicked pay and was charged $57. I canceled the order immediately and the seller refused to return my money. I opened a dispute and PayPal allowed the seller to keep my money. The seller shipped the items 6 days later and l received it on the 13th! PayPal closed the case. I told PayPal it is illegal to double the taxes on an item. They closed my case after l received the canceled item even though l was overcharged. Shoes were $36. Seller charged $11 in taxes! $8 for shipping and refused to cancel my order. I sent the shoes back and it cost me $30! PayPal gave me a $30 credit. I don’t want anything to do with PayPal! Now l have to wait for the seller to confirm they received the item to get my $57 back! Scammers use PayPal to rip us off because they know PayPal allows it! Never using them again!

    I got a PayPal credit card and line of credit. I have had them for several years. I have the minimum withdrawal monthly for my account. Last month August 19, 2024. I paid 2,400.00 on my account leaving a balance of 239.00. So this month I was about to make a payment before the automatic withdrawal. So I checked my account and I had availability only 10.00. I called and they said I been only making the minimum payment for the past three months. I said yes but they were on time because it was automatically withdrawal from my account. That was ALL they had to say. So I paid that 239.00 that was left to pay on my account and I plan on never using the card again. By them lowering your credit limit that will put a hurt on your credit score if it over 30% spending so watch out for PayPal. I don't know why they are doing that to customer who pay their bill on time and been with them for several years.

    I have a PayPal line of credit, a paypal credit card, and a Zettle account for my business. I've been with them for over a year. Never once on anything have I missed a payment, or even been remotely late. In fact, I'm ALWAYS early! I recently made a $1000.00 payment to my line of credit account, and a week later my credit limit was DECREASED by $1000.00. Coincidence? I don't think so! No warning. Nothing.     I received a transfer of $2000 to my PayPal account from a friend in China who was reimbursing me for some money I laid out for her. I am not a seller. I use PayPal for friends and family on occasion. PayPal took out the 4% fee and when I called they said only my friend can reverse the transaction because she didn't send it. Friends and family, she sent it goods and services. She tried to reverse it and found out China only has a goods and services option. They said only the US PayPal could reverse the transaction. I called customer service 2 more times, and I said I would forfeit the fee. Both times the representative told me they would mark the transaction completed and the money would be released in a few days. The deadline for releasing the money keeps passing and they do not release the money. They simply have stolen it as far as I'm concerned. Horrible company. Don't use it. I am going to have to file a complaint.

    PayPal does not support their individual customers. They typically favor big business clients in disputes for unethical practices. The credit card companies, on the other hand, support their cardholders. I’ve had two instances where PayPal would not help or denied my claim, but my credit card holder had my back. So, why does PayPal exist? Their online platforms are atrocious and difficult to use, and their offshore call center has little command of English or ability to articulate and convey issues. Basically a worthless company, and not the least bit surprising they’re in decline with a struggling stock price. No value proposition whatsoever, and a vacuous business model.

    After year of using PayPal and trusting them to cover my purchase, I've found that in recent years that PayPal is not what the used to be. I've had 2 circumstances over the past couple of years where I had to file a claim against sellers and PayPal did not stand behind me. In the most recent claim, I ordered a fair expensive Gemstone Tester for China. Long story short, I never received the item. I don't doubt the seller sent the item, but I never got it. Fedex apparently delivered it to a different address than mine. They took a picture of a room I didn't recognize and the picture only showed a bunch of very large boxes. The item I purchased would have been in a small box.

    I put the address for my place of employment, because it's a safer place to deliver, with all deliveries on video monitoring. Upon investigating the time that Fedex says they delivered the package, there were no deliveries made within a two hour time frame around the stated time. All this information was given to PayPal and despite this, PayPal decide to award the seller. So, I'm now out $211.67. If you are considering opening an account with PayPal or even using PayPal, I would suggest you think twice. I do not consider PayPal to be a TRUSTWORTHY company to use. After years as a member of PayPal, I can tell you I'll be closing all my PayPal accounts and using other payment services that I feel I can trust.

    I used PayPal to purchase an item off of AliExpress. I've used them for years and if I had an issue they've always been good about getting it taken care of. A seller of AliExpress admits on Aliexpress my package got lost in mail. The Seller has a tracking number that is assigned to someone else name and number assigned to my package. I called FedEx who shipped the package to check my package tracking number and they verified that tracking number was a different seller and buyer number and was delivered and signed for by someone in a different city from where I live. PayPal closed my case even though I provided them messages from the Seller telling me my package was lost in the mail and sending them messages from Aliexpress showing they were refunding my money.

    PayPal did not investigate my claims. They didn't contact FedEx to verify the tracking number the Seller used for my package. FedEx would have provided PayPal with proof and pictures that this package was signed for and delivered to someone else in a different city from me. Also the pictures FedEx has shows this is not my house. The Seller has taken $478.21 from me and PayPal has closed my case stating the seller said he delivered from package and PayPal took his word and didn't investigate the claim or verify any documents, receipts that is assigned to my package.

    I was scammed on eBay by a seller who sent me a fake Apple Watch Ultra 2. I paid $475 plus $20 to ship it back, as instructed by a PayPal rep, to get my refund. Despite spending over 60 hours and speaking with 7 reps, including 3 supervisors who confirmed I submitted all required paperwork, my refund was denied because PayPal claims I didn't send the paperwork—this is completely false. The seller is a scammer, and PayPal is making it worse by refusing to acknowledge the documentation I provided, including photos and return receipts. A supervisor named Kia promised to review the calls and messages proving I was instructed to return the watch but never followed up. This has been an incredibly stressful experience, and PayPal has failed to protect me as a customer. If I don't get my refund, I will file a case with the BBB and consider legal action. PayPal, please do better.

    One of the worst customer experiences that I have had. In fact, it was so bad that this is the first time that I have ever written a review. Paypal had a concern about a basic health supplement that we sell. We resolved the issue. It has taken over a month with no one in the "Back Office" willing to speak to us to confirm the resolution. In the mean time, they have kept many thousands of dollars in sales from customers that used Paypal, and they have made it so customers can't use Paypal on our site. Not having Paypal would be fine, but they won't even let me cancel my service so that it doesn't appear on my website. They make you go through AI customer service, which doesn't understand anything but simple items, and they make it incredibly difficult to talk to anyone. The person you finally do get can only relay messages to the "Back Office".

    I've been a long time member of PayPal and it has always been the best until now. I purchased an item from a seller. The seller never shipped the item. When I reached out to PayPal they reach out to the company then they have 20 DAYS TO RESPOND! Then after that you can file a claim which takes another week or so. All this just to possibly get a refund for something you never received! I'm not sure what happened to PayPal but they are no longer consumer friendly!!

    Beware of the PayPal Cashback World MasterCard. Despite years of my impeccable payment record, PayPal routinely holds payments on the card for three weeks! This happens nearly every time I pay off the card before the end of the month — thousands of dollars are withheld from my available credit for weeks. Calling PayPal is a nightmare, dragging you through a voice menu from hell and an AI-driven idiot, and it took me forever to reach a human who told me this shouldn’t be happening. But then, the PayPal employee passes the buck, saying the card is serviced by Synchrony Bank. You get transferred to their phone line, where you face yet another voice menu from hell, only to reach an arrogant bureaucrat who smugly informs you that the “up to 15 days” posting time is buried in the fine print of the terms and conditions.

    Combine this terrible experience of PayPal holding thousands of my dollars hostage with the fact that they reduced the cashback rewards after the card was already issued, and you’ve got one of the worst cards I’ve ever had. I won’t use it again, and I strongly suggest you stay far away from the PayPal Cashback World MasterCard—or any card issued by Synchrony Bank. Bad cards and even worse customer service.

    PayPal has shown itself to be dishonest! Not only did they allow Airbnb steal over a $1000 from my account, but they never closed my account in November 2023 as requested. I have never stayed in an Airbnb. I had originally been told that I needed to speak with someone in another department to remove my credit card. The man was in the Philippines whom I spoke with. He said the card from removed from my account. He lied. It wasn't. I finally got someone this month (end of August) who did actually close my account and sent me an email verifying he did it. I have written a letter to the DOJ about this.

    Very disappointed in PayPal. I had ordered something from an ad on Instagram from some company in Asia and paid through PayPal, but I never received it. I contacted the company and they replied that they had proof that it was delivered, so I was responsible for it. I contacted PayPal, they said they were starting an investigation, went through the steps to report item not received, and received a temporary refund. But then soon after I got an email from PayPal that said, the company provided proof that it was delivered, so I was responsible. I submitted a complaint that regardless of whether or not they delivered it, I never received it, and I shouldn’t have to pay for it. How do I prove that I didn't receive an item? No one ever responded.

    For at least the last five years I order from Amazon all the time, receive 2 to 3 shipments weekly, and only once had something gone missing. When I contacted Amazon about it, I had a refund within just a few days and it stayed refunded, but not the same with PayPal: you'd expect them to back you up, but they don't. I understand that there are some people who try to scam, but that’s not me! How am I supposed to prove whether something was delivered or not? All I know is I didn’t get something and I’m having to pay for it. No one from PayPal ever responded to my complaint, and the charge was debited back to my account. Goodbye PayPal! I'll do business with somebody else!

    I had a bad experience with payment processing. PayPal can't handle refunds issued by the seller; it collects refunds and does not transfer them back to the buyer. It's not an acceptable payment processing system. I wish FTC and SEC look into it.

They say 5-10 days to issue a check and 14 days to deliver, barring holidays, etc. That makes 19-24 days yet they tell me I have to wait 45 days to request a stop pay and reissue from date of check. Firstly I do not know date of issue as I have not received it. And why do they need a further 21 days to reissue???? CS Rep appears to have been given a script too as they keep repeating they are sorry and wait 45 days. I asked them twice to discuss with a higher authority at PayPal and I get the same scripted response. There is obviously no Customer service and No recourse to problems. It makes me nervous that they are handling my money!!

    Paypal has no care about the people that use this service, and as others have already mentioned below they need to change the way they treat their customers. I am working on closing my account also after no support with an unauthorized payment. I have never disputed a payment before, and have felt so unsupported and unprotected. All Paypal cares about is their cut of the profit and have zero care or concern for their purchasers. Even when they are being scammed by fraudulent entities.

    I've been battling a dispute since May where it was found in my favor to close my account. First I hear three days and I hear five and I hear 10. Then I hear 30. Then I hear 60. Now I hear 90. No matter what I cannot close this account it says to "resolve account limitations". What limitations? I told my bank to block PayPal both incoming and outgoing although I doubt they'll be any outgoing. I've had this account since 2008 didn't even know I had it until this scam came along where it charged my account for something I did not receive. If this does not get resolved by Thursday I am taking this to the highest powers I can. I'm going to file with a Better Business Bureau and any other entity I can find to go against PayPal. Personally I'd love to sue their butts.

    I got scammed on PayPal and called them immediately and said they can't do anything but put in a dispute. So I did but didn't hear anything back from PayPal. I called them and they said there is no dispute filed. Went on and on but they don't want to do anything! They told me to call my credit card company. Canceled my PayPal account and filed a BBB report on them. Hope it was worth getting a BBB report filed on them than refunding the money! Now I know why their stock dropped 60%.     PayPal informed me today that there was apparently unauthorized access to my account so they "Limited" the account permanently. As it was explained to me today that because someone tried to access the account and could not, I no longer have access to use of the platform for payments, receipt of funds, etc. This is extremely frustrating and the ONLY financial institution I have come across that cannot restore - or even CLOSE - my account so that I might be able to move forward. More than disappointing, as I'll have to close all my accounts with them and change my other platform subscriptions and memberships to reflect such.

    This is the first time I've used PayPal for my business, and it has been an absolute nightmare. They put my account on hold for no apparent reason, citing "unfulfilled policies" that they refuse to explain or identify. I'm now being told I have to wait 180 days to access MY money, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the customer service representative I spoke with, Sebastian, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping me resolve the issue, he was dismissive and unhelpful.     Worst company ever. My credit card expired. My payment got delinquent. When I called I was told by the person that I could not pay with a credit card and I had to give my bank account info OVER THE PHONE. I refused. I asked for a statement to be mailed to me and they refused to send me a statement then I asked for a supervisor and again the person refused. Said one was not available.     Paypal claims I owe them $13.93 from an account they closed in 2013 (not my primary Paypal account). Never once notified me of the overdraft or closure of the account. They tell me they can't access the transaction history to prove I owe them. Literally said I have to pay them to be able to see the transaction history or I cannot use my email. And apparently the Managers (per PayPal policy, stated by Supervisor Mike) do not talk to customers. The highest you can talk to is the Supervisor, who is as useless as the call center representatives and is basically just a title

    PayPal is nothing but a scam. It claims to cover your purchase but it doesn't tell you upfront there is limits to the coverage. Let me give you what happen to me. A couple years ago I purchased an item from a fake online store front. The seller provided an Amazon UPS tracking number going to my hometown but not my address. I even got a letter from UPS stating that the package was not mine or delivered to my address but PayPal refused my claim and I had to get my state's attorney general's office and my bank involved. PayPal's solution was to give me a one time goodwill refund of my purchase they refused to admit they were wrong.

    The last one is I purchased an item from a company after contacting the company to ensure the item would fit. It did not. When I went to ship it back the shipping cost more than the $160.00 I paid for the item. The seller refused to pay for the return shipping and PayPal refused to make the seller to pay for return shipping. So if I returned it I would pay more than I was going to get. PayPal said it could not make the seller pay for return shipping but was fine in making me pay the shipping! All PayPal had to do was tell the seller that unless he provided a return label, they would refund my money but they wouldn't. Instead they told me that unless I paid the return shipping they would rule in favor of the seller which they did!

    ***BEWARE PAYPAL SUPPORTS THIEVES and SCAMMERS**** We opened a case in PayPal regarding a scam website (isneakeroutlets.com) which we paid $95.98 through PayPal to buy two pairs of sneakers. We never received our shoes, and seller constantly provided false information (first time they email us with fake tracking number which said our package was delivered to local post office, we went to our post office and were told that the tracking number is invalid, we tried to call customer service number on the scam website, they hanged up as soon as we told them it is regarding our order.) We opened a case in PayPal then seller provided a different tracking number saying that our package was delivered by UPS, we Called UPS and provided the tracking number, UPS representative told us that the tracking number belongs to a package from Amazon and shipment address is not our address.

    The weight of delivered package was 18 pounds, we ordered only 2 sneakers which weight barely 2 pounds. UPS told us that PAYPAL can call UPS and they provide them the proof that the tracking number does not belong to our address. We provided all this information to PayPal by calling their customer service twice, but PAYPAL still sided with scammer and closed our case without even considering proofs that we provided. We closed our account with PAPAL and told our friends and families to not use PAYPAL because PayPal is a company which supports thieves.

    When logging into my account to receive money sent to me, the login verification process goes beyond absurdity. Identify the objects in the pictures, over and over, before you can complete your login. No other company requires me to jump through so many ridiculous hoops.     It took over 15 hours with customer service, 8 phone calls, 5 emails, and countless uploaded documents / photos to still not resolve the case of a fraudulent merchant who lied to them and me.     Please do not make the mistake of using Paypal as a business owner! We had been using Paypal for years, and it has always been a horrible experience: no support, no communication, monthly "Prove your business checks" etc. But this is the now the final straw. We worked on a custom project for one of our customers; an $8000+ order that has costed us $6000 so far.

    The kitchen was made and delivered to the customer, and a month later this person opened a chargeback. We now receive an email saying the chargeback was resolved in the customer's favor, leaving us with an $8000 balance on Paypal that we are unable to pay back. The customer never reached out to us, the Paypal case was made under a different name "Colonel Sanders", and we have no way to contact Paypal as usual.

    The worst, absolutely the worst. After having used PP for years, suddenly, three days ago when I tried to send a payment, I got a red banner on PP saying my card had been declined. Over the last three days of this never-resolved ordeal, I have been advised to close my account and open a new one, which has not worked. I have been advised to call my bank and ask why my card is on hold--the person at my bank said, "Your card's fine. I see no problems. We never put a hold on it." I have three times had my phone calls to PP cut off in the middle of trying to resolve this, and have had to call back (getting a different person each time, necessitating my starting all over from square one.

    Today, I told the person I talked with that my bank has not put a hold on my credit card, and that a person to whom I was trying to send a payment through PP can't receive payments in any other way. A couple of minutes later, the PP person said, "I would advise you to talk to your bank and see why your card has been declined," and "You can always try a different way, outside of PP, to send your payment." I asked her if she had been listening to me at all. A pointless question, of course, since she was talking right over me, anyway, at that point. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After checking, she said, "He's on the phone but he can call you." That was half an hour ago. I closed my account just now.

    PayPal is more about procedures and does not care about you. I got scammed by someone I thought was a trusted friend. When I sent payment the scammer's real name came up, I immediately contacted PayPal to tell them what happened to stop payment and report the person that has an account with them who took my money. They refused to help me and said I could do nothing but pay them back. I highly advise to never use PayPal for your transactions. They do not stop illegal activity.

Me and my brother had an Airbnb booked in Europe so we split the cost so he send me request for 900 $ on Paypal so I sent him the money however it seems someone intercepted the payment and he never got it.     If I can give it a zero then I would. I'm not a buyer or seller just a regular use PayPal once in a while. A few days ago my friend sent me some money and I went on my paypal. It said limitation on my account like for what now. I haven't did anything for paypal to do that so I call. Talk to customer service to see what's the the person told me, "Oh don't worry. I will take you off limitation and you can withdraw your money."

    After he find out how much my friend sent me so it's pending. So he put someone else on the phone. I had to upload my ID to let them know it's me. The person say, "You will hear from us in three days." Well I got a email the next day telling me I can no longer use Paypal anymore and the money that's pending will be 180 like what. I had to paid my rent out that money. So now my friend can't get the money back to after 180 for no reason. I follow all the rules and never break any and my friend always sent me money on paypal. So I'm just done with paypal with the lies they told me.

    The worst of the worst! If they can find an excuse to keep your money for a couple of weeks and collect the interest on it, they will! Pretty ironic, getting ripped off in the name of security! "Oh we're just protecting your account from fraud" and collecting interest on millions of customers balances. I've heard they make thousands of dollars a day by causing us to be late on rent and go without lifesaving meds. I may go to the hospital but I swore I'd never go back after they decided it's a crime to seek relief from pain. So I'll probably just give up on it all! I'm sick of this!

    I've had the worse experience with PAYPAL and the resolution team and backend department really don't care about truth and who is right and who is wrong. I filed 2 claims with paypal in which 2 separate charges were made for the same issue of a service not being completed by the seller involved in which the seller failed to pay the worker to complete the service. Once I was able to get in contact with the worker he advise me that the seller only paid him $29.91 out of the $160 that I sent for the services to be completed. He also sent a email discontinuing his services due to her failure of payment.

    I requested my money back. She denied it and wished negative things on me and my life. I forward all of the evidence to PAYPAL. Paypal approved the 1st claim and denied the 2nd claim. I called multiple times asking why is the 2nd claim (which was of a higher amount) is being denied if it's for the same issue as the first claim. The only reason they weren't together is because it was two separate charges so I had to file 2 separate claims. PAYPAL came up with every excuse in the book from the seller stating that she sent over the product which was not a complete product that I paid for. To her accusing me of scamming her although she is the one I paid to complete a service in which she failed to pay the worker but she's accusing me of scamming smh to she paid a third party and doesn't know what they did with the funds etc.

    PAYPAL sided with the seller J. ** and stated in which I have a recording, that they understand that she didn't complete the product that I paid for but because she did a service they will not be approving the claim. So basically for example if I paid for 5 candles to be made and the seller only send back 1 candle instead of 5 candles then I'm out of luck because they would not approve the refund being that she sent A CANDLE back even though I paid for 5 smh and all she got to do is say she paid a third party to do it. PAYPAL will run with the excuse of a seller mentioning third parties and that it's out of their control etc. smh. The representative agreed and that was pretty much it smh. Yet they approved the 1st claim of the lesser amount for the same issues with the same evidence. Make it make sense PAYPAL.

    24 year customer. No issues until this year when I ordered a tablet from a merchant and received one with specs different than advertised. Engaged PayPal under their Buyer Protection and they were not willing to refund me unless per the seller I shipped the item to a foreign country (not the one I purchased it in) at MY expense and refused to force the seller to provide a mailing label even though that was in the seller's return policy. And all this took so long that I'm now outside the time period to file a dispute with the credit card company. And despite numerous inquiries, they have yet to provide me with the mailing address of their legal department.

    I have used PayPal for 10 years and we have a history. However, on the evening of July 4th, 2024, PayPal paid Wix $756.00 out of my account. Previously, I had been making auto payments in the amount of $4.95. They did this on a holiday in the dead of night. The money in my account was supposed to go to buy tickets for me to attend my father's funeral on August 3rd. The payment was devastating, as I am a disabled woman. Apparently, Wix had a renewal for a website that I made. The price of the website had tripled in cost to the $756.00 and was up for "renewal" after 3 years. I had no idea the bill was coming and I was not invoiced.

    PayPal did nothing to protect me. You would think there would be an amount that would trigger an email query - especially after the previous autopays were so minimal. When I submitted a review, PayPal answered within minutes. They denied the claim - even after I canceled the Wix account - and said that I had a previous relationship with the client. So thanks, PayPal and Wix. It looks like I'll be missing my 90 year old father's funeral because you needed that transfer fee to add to your billion dollar coffers.

    If I could give PayPal a negative review I would because instead of them Explaining my situation better to me. They assumed and just hung up on me. They took money out of my bank account, which my bank account then gave me a credit for and since it was unauthorized, disputed it, yet they still charged my account again to where it was in the negative.     Do Not Trust PayPal. I sent payment to a person that didn't have a Paypal account. Instead of Paypal contacting me because of lack of verified information they sent the payment to a person I do not know. None of the information matches. The name was incorrect, the cell number was incorrect, the email address was incorrect and the bank account was not correct. How does Paypal verify their information. I called them to inform them the customer didn't have a Paypal account and the rep. insisted they did. I am very suspicious about this transaction. If the person doesn't have an account with Paypal, who is receiving the funds. Could this be a kickback for Paypal? What does it benefit them to send funds to the wrong person? I have contacted them several times and they will not support my truths. I will delete my info and account and I wouldn't recommend you use this unsecure platform.

    DO NOT BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE ON PAYPAL AND EXPECT PURCHASE PROTECTION TO COVER YOU! I made a large purchase and the item was damaged prior to shipping. The seller purposely ship the item without any protection to incur more damage so they can blame it on UPS.     I've been a Satisfied Paypal customer for several years, I've even encouraged my Kid and Grandkids to become a member for the ease of sending them money for different occasions feeling confident that it was safe and secure!! Never no real problem until this year, I made a bad mistake trying to transfer $1190.00 from my PayPal account to my personal checking account with Regions Bank, I typed in my name and hit send, Very expensive mistake, the money is laying in an "Inactive Account" because the guy is in a Nursing Home, They know this is an Honest Mistake, They Know The Exact Amount is still sitting there and I Absolutely have no way of contacting his family to try to get this reversed, even offering a Generous Reward to recoup my money!!

    I have been a PayPay user for decades. In addition to shopping payouts, I have been receiving my payouts from AirBnB through PayPal. About a month ago I got an email from PayPal that said, “YOU CAN NO LONGER USE PAYPAL”. It said they had reviewed my activity and there was some potential risk, so my account is “PERMANENTLY LIMITED”.

    At first I thought it was a joke or some kind of scam, but when I logged in to PayPal, it said the same thing. I called customer service and asked them what happened. They just repeated what the email had said and added that, “the Back Office” had made that decision. I went into my account and tried to withdraw my balance of over $800 and it said I could not pay or withdraw from my account. They would hold my money for 180 days for “possible dispute settlements” and they will let me know how to retrieve my money after 180 days!

    I called again and was given the same treatment. I have no idea why they did this to me and I am incensed that they are holding my funds without explanation. All they will say is “the Back Office did it and you cannot talk to them." My advice to anyone with a balance in PayPay is to have any deposits placed there sent immediately to their bank or some other place that will be available to you. It is unconscionable in my opinion that they would treat a loyal, long-time customer this way without even offering an explanation.

    PayPal does not stand behind their product and allows fraudsters to take money from its customers, knowing that the error is in PayPal’s software and system, but refuses to assist the customer. We had a customer who used the link SUPPLIED BAY PAYPAL to pay us. The link took them to WHAT APPEARED to be our account. The customer made the payment, but the payment was diverted to a fraudster, and we were never notified of the payment. Three weeks later, when we discovered that no payment was made to US, we investigated and found that the payment was diverted to the unknown third-party fraudster. We complained to PayPal, our customer complained to PayPal. PayPal has refused to make this right, and, so far as we know, has not investigated the fraudster, or even contacted the fraudster, even though we notified PayPal of the PayPal “ID” email. PayPal is unreliable and does not support its customers.

    I have had so many issues trying to use my PayPal account and a PayPal gift card. Trying to link the 2 accounts caused me to get locked out for too many password attempts. Finally I gave up. I will just never get my money. This must be their strategy. From trying to use PayPal and needing a two-step verification process in which your phone number is wrong but there is no easy way to fix it because you can't log in! Their customer service automated system will have you running in circles to only end up back at the main menu. After you have finally reached a live operator they would like to verify your identity via text message in which you have to upload pics of your Driver's license. This process requires disconnecting from the customer service rep.

    After uploading my Driver's license I received an email that my driver's license was not accepted. It seems my address in PayPal doesn't match my driver's license but I don't know which address they have on file because I can't get into my account! Now I have to upload 2 forms of identity and proof of address like a utility bill matching the unknown address they have on file and fax or email these 2 items and wait up to 6 hours for a reply. Congratulations PayPal you win! Your process is not worth the frustration, time and energy so keep my money!

    Not the most efficient online payment system. They ended up taking way more money out for payments. Zero out of five stars. Then they also have the money for three days. Had a client that I worked on a project on and got paid and it took way too long to get the money plus the fees were so incredibly high, but it really just turned me off, and I expected more out of such a brand of PayPal.     I client of mine filed a claim to get a refund back on his deposit which was stated NON-REFUNDABLE but Paypal found in his favor despite this fact.... The client terminated my web design services because he "didn't like my attitude" which is not a viable claim to make for a refund. This client terminated my services, but still made the deposit to me with full knowledge that it was NON-REFUNDABLE as stated in the invoice I sent him. I am now attempting to give Paypal the opportunity to reverse this decision based on facts and merits of this frivolous claim or pursue them in court I will. This is insane that they found in favor of someone who submitted a deposit that was clearly stated NON-REFUNDABLE.

    Bought a phone and the seller sent me a money request which PayPal declined to let me pay. Then I tried paying the full amount separate from the money request and they denied that too. Then I was able to send a partial payment but after that they denied me finishing the payment and put a hold on the first partial payment. We agreed to just use Venmo which went great but it was a nightmare getting the first partial payment refunded and they refused to explain why any of the payments were denied and their customer service sucked and when they finally refunded the money they kept the damn goods and services fee to ice the cake. Would not recommend.

    I was recently scam by Paypal. I had bought a streaming device on Instagram and used Paypal as the payment center thinking that Paypal will protect my purchase if something goes wrong with it. And, something did go wrong when I received the device 3 months later. I contacted paypal and paypal told me to contact the seller to resolve my issue. The seller told me not to launch my complaint with paypal and they will refund me. I went back to paypal asking paypal if that is what I should do. Paypal told me not to follow what the seller had suggested but, instead to file the complaint.

    After filing my complaint with paypal, mailed the device back to the seller, emailed my proof of sending the device back to the seller to paypal, paypal denial my case. I will never deal with paypal ever again and I suggest everyone to stop dealing with paypal. They have turned into a scam organization by not protecting their customers. If I have a choice, I will not award any star to this organization.

    I have no credit card with PayPal. I just linked my Amex credit card to my PayPal account. Hence, the process is — when I purchase something online and choose PayPal as my payment mode, they charge my Amex credit card with said amount. If there’s a refund, they place it back to my Amex credit card. One day, I made 2 transactions with the same merchant using PayPal. PayPal consequently charged my Amex account. However, merchant cancelled and did not send the ordered items. I disputed the 2 charges in my Amex card and so I was given the temporary credit for both. During the dispute, the merchant gave a refund for both trxns which were sent to my Amex card via PayPal. And so, Amex reversed the initial credits.

    In turn, my Amex card was zeroed out (2 charges + 2 refunds = 0). You thought everything was okay? Nope! PayPal started to continuously COLLECT DIRECTLY from me and said that I should pay them DIRECTLY! Pay what? I never received any item and the charges were zeroed out! Paypal continuously HARASSED me during the Christmas and New Year season of 2023 and I mean several emails a day while I’m supposedly celebrating the holidays with my kids!

    This is despite the fact that I OWE PAYPAL NOTHING and sent them proofs that the initial credit was reversed by my Amex credit card after a refund was processed by the merchant leading to a duplicate credit. I learned from Amex that PayPal did this unlawful collection to some other people too. Paypal then sent me to a collection agency despite owing nothing. So I showed the collection agency the same proofs that I showed PayPal and they returned the case to PayPal as there was NO debt.

    So, if there’s a law firm that wants to take a look at this case, there’s several people like me that are being harassed by PayPal with unlawful collection of money where we owe NOTHING. All the transactions are debited/credited to my Amex card yet Paypal asked for direct payments from me of money that Amex already sent them! Maybe you guys want to file a class lawsuit and sue PayPal for this illegal activity.

    I'm reading the reviews and seems as I have never seen a place with so many 1 stars (since -1 is not possible). Have been with Paypal for centuries but the last 2 months statements are just weird. I was lucky to get somebody in the line after 4 times authentication, but I was not lucky enough to understand him,..not to understand the answer and math at all. He was rude enough to tell me, "madame you do not let me explain, you keep interrupting me and do not let me finish"! While explaining things that I did ask for and were not relevant to my call. I raised my voice as well to remind him that if he can not take the hit working as customer service representative he was in the wrong place, he yelled at me as he was doing me a favor! Horrible.

    I hung up and call for 3rd time, 3rd time the charm, I got a nice guy, and he kind of explained the financial statement, finally I cooled down and finish the conversation, still not understanding the numbers. Hope things improve in next statement, or I guess I will contact the BBB or Federal Trade Commission to see if so many complaints do not stay hanging in limbo. I have been for at least 15 years with paypal, but I do not recall having problems before and they were way better when they were part of eBay, in regards of customer service

    If there was any possibility I would have given minus ratings. Sudden transactions from Paypal appear on the activity. To raise questions on any billing disputes on billing activity is very difficult. The answers provided by paypal are very inadequate. For some reason paypal always rules in favor of corporate companies. There is no genuine effort to perform any investigation. IMHO PP has some sort of shady understanding with certain companies and charge the customers. As usual you will 100's of legal pages with incoherent language where PP denies any responsibility. Please stay away from PP. Please don't assume your CC details are safe with PP and not exposed.

    To say there is no customer service is an understatement. They locked me out of my account and the only way they would let me back in was either to take a picture of my photo ID or put my credit card NUMBER in. The APP would not send a text to the mobile number that PayPal’s system recognized when I called. The same phone number I have had for decades. The same phone number I’ve always used for dual authentication with PayPal. I was told that’s normal and there was no manager to talk to. I called three times for the same answer and when I said I was going to file a BBB complaint somehow miraculously my password worked and no need for dual authentication. So sketch.     I had to leave at least 1 star to WARN people. I sent money to my son but didn’t receive confirmation. I contacted PayPal and was connected with their outsourced representative in India. He requested remote access to my phone and Apple Wallet to diagnose the issue. Reluctantly, I agreed, hoping for a quick resolution as I was leaving to fly out of the country.

    PayPal took from May 5 till today June 7 on a claim of a product that doesn’t work, I paid $499 to buy Onepunch boxing machine, it didn’t work and my arm got hurt from punching so bad at the machine because I thought maybe hitting it harder will work, it didn’t. Contacted PayPal. They said they will contact the seller, it took a while so I contacted the seller as well. The seller responded and said they will accept the refund and I have to ship it to China, I received a product from USA. Why do I ship it to China, then they provided me with Texas address and then California address which was on the box, Paypal said they will not refund me unless I ship it to China, I told them I have an email from the vendor. They said, "We don’t care. Only the address on file." I called in a manager prior to that and she said she will provide me with the shipping cost.

    Next time when I called a manager to complain about the shipping address to China, she was rude and she said there are no mention of the shipping cost offered by the other manager. So they lied. I put my frustrations and reported them to BBB yesterday. Today they closed my case in the favor of the seller after I shipped the product, I had till June 17 to submit the receipt, so now I don’t have the money, nor product and no shipping fees. I lost $ 638.17. If anyone want to join to do a website and put our claims together and sue Paypal please reach out to me. I will hire a lawyer. I was waiting on my refund so I can start my lawsuit so now I guess I have to start now.

    I have never had too big of an issue with PayPal... Until now. Last week I went to use my card and it didn't work. I tried a few more times and nothing. I called and they said PayPal canceled the card I was using and sent another card for no reason and no warning. I finally got the new card today and activated it on my account it said I'm ready to spend... Finally.

    But PayPal has to make everything difficult so of course, it doesn't work when I go to use it. I call and there's a lock on the card now for no apparent reason and they can't tell me why. I need to get to my money on PayPal. I've been with them for years, get direct deposit and all that and PayPal just screwed me the last two weeks. I still can't use my money. I'm filing a complaint to the BBB. I can't stand PayPal now. They're horrible.

    To begin with, there was nothing wrong with my old card. I have things to pay for and need to buy and can't get my money. They just canceled my card on their own. I'll go to Chime. Or any other place sounds better than PayPal right now. I know people that always said They would NEVER use PayPal and I always defended PayPal saying I never had a problem. Then everyone on the phone has an attitude. I should be the one with the attitude. Customer service my foot. I'm being charged extra for being late paying rent because PayPal picked the best time to cancel my card for no reason, but, PayPal doesn't gift a damn

    I changed my phone number and Paypal customer service asked me for my entire credit card number in order to identify me after identifying myself with my last 4 of my social security number. Very shady practice.

    PayPal had me add statement to my invoices to protect me. Did work for a client, the client signed and paid invoice. Before they paid we told them there was an additional issue with their ac. They understand, still paid and signed off on work that was done. They then decided to complain to PayPal not even disputing actual work that was done. PayPal refused to talk to me with a live person and just automatically sent my $859 back to customer. Based off I didn't do the work, yet the customer wasn’t disputing the work I did. They thought I should do the extra work for free, which it also stated on my invoice if there extra work there would be extra charges. PayPal will just take your money and do whatever they please and mark down a lie why they did it. Stay away and know they also own Venmo.

    Beware of sending money by PayPal. I tried to send 350 to a friend. They for no apparent reason. Took the money because it didn't meet their transfer policy. I've since learned this is a common practice. No wonder their company is failing. Do not risk any money transfers with this company. They will be good for a few transfers, then take your money with no warning.

    PayPal is a joke! In January 2024 I was attempting to buy “overstocked original Disney” branded hats from a website that has now changed their name and address. When I went to check out for the just under $80.00 charge, it went to PayPal and automatically signed me up for a daily subscription fee of $80.00. I did not catch this and out of nowhere the order placed again with another $80.00 subscription fee. I stopped the auto renewal immediately and disputed the charges with PayPal. PayPal decided that it was okay that I was scammed out of $160 as their “seller” still has time to ship the product. I got another person at PayPal on the phone and she started the dispute process for me.

    I also disputed it with my Apply Card from Goldman Sachs. I was assured that they would not allow the scammers to get my money. Long story short, Goldman Sachs sided with PayPal and gave them the $180.00. PayPal then gave it to their “sellers” and told me that I have to reach out to the “sellers” for a refund. I did that through PayPal and unsurprisingly— their “sellers” emails are invalid and no longer exist. Now the website is showing an address in California and still scamming people with PayPal allowing it to be paid through them. PayPal is part of the bigger picture of scammers.

    I bought a shipping label through them, where they stated was a 3 day delivery, the transaction ended up cancelled because the Item wasn't going to be delivered on time. They make it awfully difficult to reach out to customer service, and then they say the transaction was done through a third party company, that they never made clear at the sale point, after losing hours waiting and talking with support, they just said make the claim with this other company.

    PAYPAL AND DIRECTFREEZERS.COM BOTH ARE FRAUD. Had made a purchase from fraud website url **, I was suppose to get product on April 2 2024, didn't receive the product. So I tried calling, emailing, chatting with Direct Freezer, I didn't got any response. So I had file a charge back with PayPal on May 5th. After waiting for month and numerous phone call to paypal at the end on May 30 paypal sent me an email saying "Item was delivered" and close the case on paypal. Finally I had to call my credit card bank (Chase) and explain the situation and they had refund my money instantly on same day. I had ended up taking all my card off from paypal and closing paypal account. Worst experience and never using or recommending anyone.

    I set up an account years ago. Never used it.. In December apparently someone hacked it, changed the password phone number and name on the account.. They sold something, received payments and bought something with the money that was then in the account. Whoever paid them disputed their charge since they clearly never received what they bought. In turn it made the account negative along with 2 $30 dollar fees.. In march I received a letter from a collection agency for the $160 something dollars owed.

    I called the collection agency and said I didn’t even use PayPal. They were able to give me the email associated with the account which I also didn’t use. I was able to reset the password and gain access to my account. I saw the transactions and called PayPal to dispute them all. The first person I spoke with said she saw that the password, name and phone number was changed and saw that the account had been compromised. She reimbursed the fees and sent the transactions to the dispute department.

    Couple weeks later I get an email that they found all the transactions valid. I called again and they created another dispute.. Same thing over again FOUR TIMES.. I then speak to a supervisor who says he’ll add additional notes and have it expedited… SAME RESPONSE!!! It’s now the end of May. I go to log in to see if there’s any new information… They blocked me out of my account! I can no longer access my open cases.. I just got off the phone with someone who said they would expedite it.. I said no and demanded to speak with a supervisor that I’m beyond frustrated that it has been months and this still isn’t resolved.. Of course the supervisors are on other calls.. Of course they are.. PayPal is a fraud company. My credit score is over 800 and I worked hard to get it there!! I’ll be damned if a complete stranger and hacker or a company that is clearly incompetent are going to ruin it for me!

    I tried to send a friend 350.00. They took it. Would not release it. I tried everything. Do not trust this app or corporation with your money. User beware. They will only say it does meet their transfer requirements. You'll never reach anyone there to get your money back. I can't believe they are pushing to raise their stock. They must be in financial trouble. Stealing customer transfers.

    Paypal allowed Jordi ** to hack into my account and siphon off $7k. She stole under $100 a day between 11 PM and 1 AM so I would not notice. I have filed police reports in 2 states, FBI, and all govt agencies. Paypal refuses to even look further into the hundreds of transactions that Jordi ** has done on my account. She has 12 aliases and 3 fake Facebook accounts. She actually used a fake address to buy jewelry and "met" the UPS driver to get her package. Bank Of America found her to be fraudulent yet Paypal refused to even look into the situation. I am now SUING them in court! DON'T USE PAYPAL. They are THEIVES.

    Very surprising to see Paypal at a 1 star, this is the most reliable payment platform I've ever used and it's been well over a decade since I've used them consistently. This is a great, dependable site that will absolutely help you. Never had an issue, but I've also never broken their rules... it's easy to color within the lines when you know your money is safe.

    I made a purchase and it was deducted from my bank account and then PayPal billed me and also wanted me to pay and did not give me my money back which is fraud because I was double billed. I will never use PayPal again and I would not recommend it for anyone.

    I have been with PayPal 22 years. I had a charge that was supposed to be $7.25 and came through as $7115.00. The company that I made the purchase through refunded me within the hour of the incorrect charge. PayPal sent through the $7115 charge and my bank account went negative even though they already had the credit. I contacted them so many times but no one will call you back. My bank rejected the charge eventually but I was without money for 4 days. Then PayPal sends the $7115 payment through again even though I called and emailed multiple times that there’s a credit sitting in my PayPal account. So my bank account goes negative again for 4 more days.

    Not once was I able to speak to anyone that could help. The people answering the phones are just receptionists. They are not customer service. I have finally gotten this resolved only because I filed a dispute with my bank and they helped me. I received no assistance from PayPal. I have since closed my account and will never give access to my bank account with a place that has zero customer service.

    Hello. We are a small business in USA and offering our customers PayPal payment gateway for multiple years and generated lot of money for PayPal. There have been significant increase in chargeback frauds by customers these days. One of the customer received the item and raised a chargeback with PayPal saying item not received. However tracking number clearly showed item delivered to customer location. PayPal proactively changed the claim later to 'Item not as described' instead of 'Item not received'. There is no seller protection for 'Item not as described'. When we asked why did you change the claim to 'Item not as described' they don't have proper explanation and closed the case siding with customer and PayPal did not pay us seller protection.

    This is a branded product with No 1 brand in the market. PayPal resorted to malpractice and incurred loss to our business. Our business suffered even when we are honest. All financial institutions are siding with customers even when they are raising fraudulent claims. This is high cost product around 250$ and we are a small business. Case ID: **.

    I went on a website interested in making a purchase. I noticed that the vendor accepted PayPal. I clicked on PayPal to review the payment options and that is it! Later, I noticed a pending transaction of 580.35 that I didn't authorize. I called PayPal about the unauthorize transaction and they stated that the authorization didn't show up on their end and the funds should be released since it's a preauthorization. I called my bank and they stated that it may take a few days to release. My bank gave me the option to have PayPal fax over statement to release the funds the same day. I called PayPal back and they refused to fax over the request! The supervisor was somewhat rude and sarcastic when trying to explain I needed my funds released and I all needed was for them to fax the request. The issue was not resolved.

    I tried several times to get an issue taken care of. I did not receive the merchandise. Paypal wanted me to do the legwork, post office, neighbors, documents etc. I did it and they wanted more. I contacted the company 16 times and no help. Just said, "I'm sorry!!"

    I made a purchase May 1st through vivid seats, which I will NEVER DO again. I definitely won't be using PAYPAL for any other purchase and will be closing my account. After I purchased concert tickets. I found out I won't be getting the tickets until 4 days before my event. I called PAYPAL to start a dispute, then was informed that I was eligible for buyers protection. I was told call back in a few days to do turn the case into a claim. I was given an estimated date for the case to be reviewed.

    I've calling almost everyday and have talked to 8 different people all telling me that it is still being reviewed, after one of the 8 people told me that the seller responded and told then that they sent me the tickets, which was a lie!!! I sent proof of my ticket confirmation to show that I haven't received the item and still keep getting told on we coming up with a solution and nothing has been resolved. It is absolutely frustrating to receive this type of customer service from PAYPAL, who is supposed to be a trusted site.

    This website is fraudulent. It comes up after you click on a valid website and then get redirected to ** so be very wary about clicking on a google search for something and then assuming you will be going to the .com you saw in the search. When this comes up it shows merchandise in a similar format to normal online shopping (see photo) but forces you to a PayPal transaction that does not reveal anything about who is receiving the money. Once you complete your PayPal transaction you get a split second notification that ** received payment. That's when you know something is wrong. Then on my receipt I saw Xeileu ** received payment.

    PayPal does not give full disclosure before the transaction is submitted for payment so you start a transaction thinking you're dealing with a commercial company and find out your dealing with some individual from china and the PayPal type transaction makes it impossible to stop the transaction. Citibank says you will have to wait until it posts and that it is not fraud, it's a scam. Still waiting to find out if that is their way of telling me it is not protected. Though only a couple hours away from the transaction, PayPal seems to indicate that I will need to first try and resolve with the seller... right, a fraudulent transaction and I'm supposed to resolve with a potentially fictitious person in china? Website Malwaretips.com lists this as a fraudulent scam site and a general google search will show just how fraudulent it is.

    Sufficient disclosure by the payment processing companies at time of payment is a simple solution to resolving this issue. My suggestions: Never use a PayPal transaction to facilitate your commercial purchase - they contribute to the problem. Assume if PayPal is involved then you are doing a craigslist type transaction with and individual or a fraudulent one altogether. Always look to ensure the company you clicked on remains in the address bar at the top... if you see it switch then you are about to lose your money.

    I purchased items using PayPal that were charged and never received. Complained to PayPal who forwarded my complaint to seller who offered me a 30% refund on the bill for items I never received. The seller's site had no good phone number and no address for me to contact. PayPal could care less even though they approved this seller to use PayPal. After a month of going back and forth with PayPal and seller PayPal response was I should contact a government agency with my complaint. American Express would have immediately refunded the money and proceeded with their own investigation. PayPal has no protection for the buyer using their service, they are a joke, will never use them again.

    MONEY STOLEN FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT USING PAYPAL! For months I was getting unauthorized transactions send from my bank to PayPal! I only used PayPal to receive money never to pay or send money! I been getting hard time from PayPal to pay a debt that was unauthorized by me! The customer service people are unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing! Called multiple times, they reported fraud on the website 3x kept getting denied by PayPal. I had to remove my bank account information from PayPal as soon as I noticed unauthorized transactions and change my bank account number! The worst part is that when a transaction is pending you are not allowed to cancel!!! So PayPal takes the money out of your bank account without being able to stop it. Once it’s transferred the money is taking out immediately from your account! No one is able to help. They pass you on and on to different people and everyone is lost and has no idea how to help.

    2nd time I used PayPal. First time I bought a $3000 lawn mower and after 2 months of tracking they sent me 1 sock. This time they charged me twice for the same purchase 1 day apart, the seller hasn't even acknowledged the order and my money will be tied up for 15 days while they evaluate the fraud. From my experience PayPal suppliers are crooks.

    I have never been robbed for so much money in my life. 2 phone numbers and a address that was used by someone to buy a TV and laptop just a few weeks ago. As soon as I seen the Unauthorized purchases I called Paypal. I found a dispute and only an hour later. They said they weren't going to give me back. My money because it looked like I did it because it came from my account again. 2 different phone numbers and address. And I've never used in my life or even heard up. Now let's go back to February. The same people took over nine hundred out of my account through xoom. Again I secured my account. I changed my password. I did everything to ask me for them to come back a couple weeks later and tell me I'm not get my money back. I authorized the transactions again. 2 different phone numbers, a different address.

    I repeatedly asked him to take it off my account. I have plug my phone in the other day and it fried my phone sim card. I got a new phone and a new phone number. I can't get into my emails to get into paypal. And I forgot my password so. I scan my face. Allow me to change the password. Then it wants to use my phone number two, send a code. 2 numbers. I don't know and to my old number.. Is says change Phone number. I put my phone number in and it's not supported. I call PayPal as I did many, many times about the numbers and the address. that is in Toledo Iowa. I don't know where that's at. I just moved here iowa one city, I know. I used his account to receive money, to send money. To do my banking and I can't even get to it. Gotta be better than this paypal. If I could give you zero I would.

    I Want my money back. I even have police reports as I told you guys, People are getting prosecuted but yet, I can't get my money back. Now my son a stranded, I need to send him money. I only have paypal because that's what my son has and my daughter and my other son. I've had this account for years. That was you all you want protection?     I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience with PayPal regarding an unauthorized transaction. I was scammed out of $400, and despite reporting the incident immediately, the resolution process has been extremely frustrating. When I first reported the unauthorized transaction, I spent nearly an hour on the phone with PayPal’s customer service. They assured me that an investigation would be conducted and that I would receive a refund within 5 to 10 days. However, shortly after, I received an email stating that my case was denied and the transaction was completed. I called PayPal again and was asked to provide additional documentation, including my ID, credit card, and bank statements. I complied with all their requests, but after two days, my appeal was denied, and my account was subsequently blocked.

    It is disheartening to feel that PayPal is not adequately protecting loyal users from scammers. Instead of holding the transaction and conducting a thorough investigation, they quickly denied my claim without providing a satisfactory resolution. As a result, it appears that PayPal’s processes may inadvertently favor scammers over legitimate customers. I hope that PayPal revisits its policies and procedures to better support and protect its users in the future. Disclaimer: This review reflects my personal experience and opinion.     I had ordered an item off of Facebook. Silk Boston Ferns and after watching the video of the item I decided to order. The video states that the item is made in the USA and the size is 48”. I received a hard plastic item 13” in height and the item was shipped from Hong Kong. Totally misrepresented. I contacted the company and they said not to ship it back as it too expensive and offered us $4.00 USD for something we paid $52.00 USD. We asked for them to send us by email a shipping label and then we would gladly popped the item in the mail. No luck.

    We contacted Paypal and started a dispute to only be treated so rudely and told they will not help us unless we ship the item back. We asked for a shipping label to no avail. All the conversations with supervisors got us nowhere and they have closed our dispute. Upon checking out further it turns out the company we ordered from are scam artists as reported in 2023. PayPal advised us that they do not have the time to check out every company that advertises online. So people beware. PayPal will not come to help you if you get scammed like us.

    *PLEASE stay away from PayPal. They leak your information or steal the funds themselves. Everyone I've spoken to on the phone has no idea what I'm talking about and gives me the run around. On my bank statement it would say "paypal*transfer 50290" with random routing numbers. I told the lady it had obviously been hacked. She didn't seem to care. Called my bank. They are still looking for more fraudulent charges from them but the total they have gotten to so far its around 2,000 and counting. This company need to be held accountable.

    I have two disputes for over 5 months, they will not help me! They said items delivered when I was out of town for my father's Funeral! They will not help. I am NOT happy. Everyone has been rude and hangs up on me, they just close out Dispute. They should be making claims with shipper if they say they delivered it, TOTAL SCAM!

    18 years with Paypal. Lately they take their time on transactions in which I lose control of them. This last transaction they never returned my refund... issued on May 8, 2024, to the current date May 14, 2024. They have even removed the Pay in 4 option on my account in order to keep my refund. If you call they never see the current transactions. Paypal, what is wrong with you?

    I have used PayPal for many years, there is never any employee in USA to answer you and respond, their policies have changed, so many things are so unfair now, I bought an item, seller doesn’t have it, PayPal has to wait two weeks for seller respond! If the seller doesn’t respond, why me as a buyer have to wait two weeks, they shouldn’t give seller two weeks when they don’t have the merchandise. Tracking number or anything to prove… So ridiculous.

    I hadn't used PayPal for a long time until last week when PayPal emailed me receipts for what I believed were 2 separate unauthorized charges made on the same day. My attempt to log in using known credentials failed and I had to pass the 2-step verification to change the password. According to PayPal, the unauthorized purchases were initiated from an unknown device. It's obvious my account was hacked and not sure where PayPal sent the identity verification notification. Paypal doesn't allow me to remove the mode of payment. Go figure!

    I filed a complaint in the resolution center but Paypal closed the case shortly after claiming "the charges weren't unauthorized". I requested them to send me all the documents they used to determine the outcome of the resolution. A week had gone by and I have yet to hear from them. Beware, PayPal's layer of security protection is questionable. Do not use PayPal. You are warned!
