They are thieves, I was having account trouble for months and they kept closing my account with my money still in there and when I asked why they couldn't tell me, they said they have no reason as to why it kept happening and that they would fix it but they never did. Then I noticed that they were taking money out of the account and I asked about it. They said it was an refund from a customer and that I should handle it with them but it wasn't. They were stealing the money from me and my clients. Bad app. Cash apple and apple pay would have never stolen any money from anyone, don't use this app. They'll close your account and take your hard earned money. Deserves 0 stars if I could.

They scam you out of $100 and then when you try to fight it every which way they say, "Oh well you have no proof." So it's my word against the company and they should side with their customers but clearly not. What happened to the customer is always right? This is bogus. A whole week's worth of groceries just gone because some company advertised a price then did a bait and switch and took my money.

I purchased a double stroller from Rebel Stork and multiple parts were missing for over $300. Rebel would not take item back. I contacted PayPal and filed a dispute. PayPal said item had to returned to Rebel Stork. The cost was $207 to return. Tracking showed item made it to Rebel Stork but PayPal said tracked did not prove delivery and ruled in favor of Rebel Stork. PayPal cost me $207 for following instructions and $385 for a double stroller that I no longer have. PayPal and Rebel stole my money. Beware any idea that PayPal is supporting customers. I am out $592.00 and nothing to show for it.

PayPal is unable to protect my accounts. I have authorized PayPal to access a debit account and credit card for payments. When an APP developer charged for unordered & unused services, PayPal immediately paid the overcharges and authorized subscriptions that would have resulted in over $240 in charges in 28 days. Challenges to these charges were met with blind refusals to act to protect my assets. Goodbye PayPal!

This company is all about in favor of the sellers, they do not care about customers, I didn't received couple of items from a Chinese company, that company shows a fake tracking number showing the items were delivered, but do not told who made the deliver, I never received it, so I request PayPal an investigation, and they closed it in favor of the Chinese company only because they showed the tracking page that the item was delivered, a page that doesn't exist in Puerto Rico, PayPal asked me to do my own investigation, how the hell I would do that without the information of who supposedly delivered the items, PayPal, is all about protecting the companies that scammed people, no more with this piece of shit of company.

Once upon a time eBay required sellers to use PayPal. But when my PayPal account was hacked, I cancelled it. That was such a relief since PayPal's goal in life had become, like most other frankencompanies, to continually add new ways to suck the life out of their seller base. I now use Zelle to transfer funds and love it because Zelle doesn't charge me fees and the money goes directly from bank to bank. However, I just had a transaction with a buyer that enrolled in Zelle after making a purchase from me, and for some reason it was going to take several days before the funds were going to be transferred. Since she was enrolled in PayPal, I opened an account to have access to an immediate transfer. So imagine my surprise when her money arrived in my PayPal account but with notification that it was on hold for up to 21 days! What the f???
The PayPal setup instructions I followed didn't include anything about holds, which I learned can actually be up to 180 days. So I'm supposed to ship a $550.00 item without seeing a penny for an unspecified amount of time...? And the real kicker is that PayPal already pulled its $19.69 fee. What a low-life way to suck interest from money that rightfully belongs in the sellers account!
I contacted the seller to let her know I'm pulling the plug on the sale, so she needs to contact PayPal and cancel the transaction since it's on hold at my end. Well, come to find out it's on hold at her end as well! So I'm out the PayPal fee, the buyer is out $550.00 until PayPal decides to release it to her - which is going to be another ordeal - and I've most certainly lost a great customer. All because I was trying to speed up the process for the buyer to receive her item and I chose PayPal in the utterly false belief that they would truly be a "pal" in making that happen. PLEASE learn from this experience rather than falling prey to PayPal getting its slimy throat-tightening grip on you!

I got 3 phone calls after the payment saying I still had $102 past due today on July the 29th. I sent them $204 today and am done with them. I had been a paypal customer since 2002. When I talked on the phone with their associate she kept asking for my account number which I gave her. She wanted my bank account number so I hung up and closed my account. My bank account number is not going to given to a stranger over the phone. Adios PayPal.

My problem has been resolved.
Original Review: July 29, 2025
I thought I was buying from one site and ending up with scammer redirecting me to another. When I review order, I got this unknown email for PayPal saying my purchase was over $900 when in reality it was only $16.00 and the words "review your order" below it. I should have left the screen but like a dummy, I didn't and hit the review order button. Ended up showing that I authorized this amount be paid to these people. This was not the normal review screen I got with paypal. I contacted paypal immediately tell them that I didn't authorize this amount. This was on July 4, 2025.
I started a fraud claim and after a couple of day, Paypal, sided with the seller. They changed my claim to no product or services was received (never ordered any) and would be resolved by July 29,2025. I have tried to contact the seller twice but of course no response. I blocked PayPal from my Bank and now PayPal has been sending my threating emails and now phone calls to put this money in my PayPal account to fix the negative balance. I thought they would stand behind a long time customer (13 years) but no.

Here it is 8 days later and no one seems to know where my money is even though it shows it was refunded. Only because they ignored my request to cancel a fraudulent payment.

PayPal Buyer Protection is a joke! I bought two rain jackets at Columbia.com paying with PayPal and NEVER received the package. Columbia basically told me to take it with their logistics company OnTrac. When trying to contact their logistics company, there was no option to email, chat or call them - it was just a useless bot! OnTrac's tracking status just stated "Delivered" on 05/27/2025 at 07:13PM to "New York, NY" (no address included) and under Signature "Diego Doorman". There's NO ONE under that name in our building and the only doorman we have is Kevin and he leaves at 6PM.
I provided proof that no package was delivered to my address, including a letter from the building's management company stating the name of our doorman (Kevin) and his schedule (works weekdays until 6PM). PayPal decides to close the case in favor of the seller (Columbia) even though I didn't receive the package and neither Columbia or OnTrac provided proof of delivery! Luckily, I disputed this charge with my bank's credit card and they resolved the issue and provided a refund. Now PayPal considers that I'm at fault when I definitely will NOT pay for a package that I did not receive, which ironically is PayPal's Buyer Protection policy, which they clearly do NOT follow! Buyer beware - do NOT buy at Columbia.com, avoid having OnTrac deliver anything to you, and definitely avoid using PayPal as they will go with the seller no matter what!

PayPal at one time was GREAT!! They protected the buyer of fraud and incorrect information on purchases. Well....THAT HAS CHANGED!!! I have put in three disputes for items that were purchased and NEVER received on the SAME order. EVERYTIME this has been denied because the seller in China provided shipping information that was INCORRECT and I could prove it was INCORRECT. One it stated it was sent to the sorting center in my town. THERE IS NO SORTING CENTER IN MY TOWN!! I live in a town of population of 81. ALL our mail gets sorted in Memphis.
No 2 it stated that it was delivered on June 19th. The USPS was closed on June 19th for JUNETEENTH. After bombarding the seller with emails they finally agreed to refund my money but I still have not gotten the refund after almost 3 weeks so I opened ANOTHER case with PayPal stating the seller agreed to a refund but I haven't received. In less than 12 hrs I got a response from PayPal stating my case was DENIED AGAIN!!!! I WILL NOT BE USING PAYPAL IF THEY DO NOT PROTECT THE BUYER AND ONLY PROTECT SHADY SELLERS!!!! I was one of the original customers of Paypal. I signed up in 2002 and used them until 2024 when they abruptly froze my account. No reason was provided, other than a link to their policy page. There was nothing on that page that I did to cause this to happen. After using their horrible phone menu and being passed around in circles, I was able to talk to somebody who said the reason was that the upload of my DL was unreadable. I immediately uploaded a new image, and the service rep confirmed receipt and told me it would be a week to ten days before they could activate my account.
As you probably suspected, my account remained frozen. I went through the menu from hell once again and finally talked to another rep. She found the original request, with all proper info received, and said she would look into it and call me the following Monday. Shockingly, LOL, no one called. It's not that I need them, after all, there are many payment sites available. It's strictly principal. How can you treat one of your original customers like this with no explanation? Pathetic!!! Corporate America has gotten way out of hand. Do yourself a favor and use someone else to send and receive money.

PayPal does NOT have good security because of their Guest Checkout process, and scam sites can exploit this to process charges against your credit card. You can then end up caught in the middle of dispute denials by your credit card company and PayPal. I followed a link to what I thought was a store I had worked with, not noticing the URL had one character changed and the site was near pixel perfect match to the legitimate store. When checking out, it defaulted to PayPal. I declined to use PayPal and instead chose to use my credit card. I had an old PayPal account which I had requested be deleted over a year ago. I had kept getting periodic mails Money Request emails from PayPal and dismissed those as scams, believing my account was deleted.
The scam store site collected credit card, shipping info, email, etc. like I was used to with the legitimate store. However, I then got a message from PayPal about a charge being paid to an email address for some private party right after I completed checkout. It appears that the scam site used the information it gathered for the purchase to use a PayPal guest checkout process under my email address, using the card that was not registered in my PayPal account, for a PayPal account that was supposed to have been deleted. This is a huge security hole in their system because I did not see an official PayPal guest checkout screen from the scam site.
I immediately tried to stop the charge through AMEX who told me I needed to wait until the charge posted to my account. When I disputed the charge, AMEX refused the dispute because they said I authorized the charge through PayPal. I tried to contact PayPal but couldn't log in to my old account (indicating I had indeed cancelled the account). I disputed AMEX's refusal and then received an email from PayPal stating I had a dispute. I used the link to go to the account where I was able to do a lost password recovery process. After getting through that, I then filed a dispute to PayPal. Their reply stated that they could not process my dispute because I had a dispute with AMEX.
I'm not stuck in the middle of AMEX refusing to reverse the charge because PayPal said I authorized the charge, and PayPal refusing to talk to me about the fraud charge because AMEX had disputed it. This process started May 13, 2025. I reopened my dispute with AMEX on 6/23/25. It is now 7/23/25 and PayPal has still not responded to AMEX on the dispute.
In short, PayPal has pathetically bad security that scammers can exploit by getting enough info from you to use the Guest PayPal checkout process. You then can't get resolution because PayPal is unresponsive to disputes and the credit card companies are reluctant to reverse charges because 1) PayPal claims you authorized the charge 2) the credit card companies don't want to have problems with PayPal because they get so much revenue through PayPal.

I have used PayPal since 1999 when it was called Xoom. Upon receiving a payment from a party I have received payments from before I receive a email from PayPal stating that before they can deposit the funds I need to provide more information about your account or recent transactions. Upon logging in they display a account alert stating it looks someone else tried to setup a new PayPal account in your name. The account is temporary restricted from paying, receiving and other features. When I called in the phone message also stated someone tried to set up an new account in my name and the account was restricted. PayPal wants me to resolve the matter by uploading a copy of my i.d., which is not going to happen as it can be used for identity theft.
Upon calling them they deny that a new account was setup and then state this has to do with past PayPal accounts I've had, which makes no sense as they have been closed for years as I no longer use them for eBay sales. This account has be used since 2021. Another member of their customer service stated that a desktop computer would not work for uploading a i.d. and stated I needed to use the PayPal app to upload a photo a face shot of myself using the phone's camera. I do not have this app installed and will not be installing it. This makes no sense as how are they going to identify my picture as they would need something to compare it to, which they do not have. This amounts to PayPal trying to blackmail me into getting a copy of my i.d. for no purpose whatsoever!

The first rep I spoke to said yes, I see you didn’t authorize the transaction, then she transferred me to the next and he was extremely rude stating that it was a hack, but was have to do a special thing because you had a subscription. I continued to tell him I had no subscription and the app wasn’t even activated which I used back in 2023 for $11.00. This transaction from scribd.com was $18.39 for 4 payments.
The transaction I made on June 19 was $18.64 for 4 payments. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but he really became rude, yet I asked. Finally he put some crooked woman on the phone who acted as if she was going to really help, then sent an email almost immediately denying everything I told her. I believe PayPal committed the crime and I don’t want them handling my finances. They all sounded foreign and suspicious and up to no good. Scribd.com was also mysterious as their phone was no longer in service. PayPal is a deep state entity which is up to no good. I hope our president and God The Father run all of these anti-American and biased beings out of our country for good and forbid them to come back. I have notified my bank and will be following up on these criminals.

Yesterday I noticed that a payment to Chewy had been processed through Paypal to my checking account (should have been my Citi card) -- this was a one-time payment to Chewy although years ago I had a monthly subscription with them. I checked, and Paypal had changed my preferred method of payment to my checking account. I changed it back to my charge card and called them. I got what felt like a "pre-recorded script" from the live human being I was speaking to who said that Chewy had treated it as a subscription purchase, and my "agreement" with the subscription was that it go through my checking account. Nope--even when I had the subscription it went through my charge card.
I couldn't cancel Paypal (it said actions were pending), so I removed my checking account after I noticed that Paypal had changed my preferred payment method back to my checking account. Today I saw a small charge to on my Chase card--(should have been on Citi), checked my screen and now Paypal had my Chase Card listed as "preferred." Called Paypal, got the same "you set it up this way" and when I pointed out that all other payments for this subscription had been on Citi, they hung up. I've had it with them. I can only imagine with this level of demonstrated incompetence how secure my data is, although I'm sure they have a script for that as well. As soon as Paypal lets me, I'm cancelling completely.

My PayPal account was hacked on March 7, 2025. Shortly after, several unauthorized transactions occurred that were clearly inconsistent with my normal activity. I’ve been a PayPal customer for nearly 20 years, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before. When I reported the incident, I spoke with two PayPal representatives who both reviewed the account and confirmed that the activity was unusual and did not match my transaction history. Both assured me that PayPal would reverse the charges and refund the stolen funds.
However, after nearly three months, I received a message stating that PayPal had completed its review and determined the activity was “consistent with my PayPal history.” This is false. The activity was erratic, high-volume, and uncharacteristic. I have recordings of those phone calls where I was explicitly told that the activity appeared suspicious and I would be reimbursed.
Despite my requests, PayPal has not provided the documentation or internal notes used in their decision. They’ve been unresponsive, and I’m still without the stolen funds. I also want to explore whether PayPal’s actions—telling me I would be refunded, then denying the claim—constitute misrepresentation, bad faith, or deceptive trade practices. I intend to pursue all available remedies.
Finally, I must address PayPal’s justification that the activity was legitimate because the IP address used was “consistent.” That logic is flawed. In 2025, sophisticated fraudsters can spoof IPs, hijack sessions, or use compromised devices and VPNs to appear legitimate. IP address consistency alone is not proof of authorized access. Relying solely on this ignores behavioral red flags and enables fraud.

I've used PayPal in the past thinking it was an added protection along with my credit card company against merchant fraud. I now realize how mistaken I was! First red flag, when I went to contact PayPal with a complaint/dispute I was having with a merchant, there was no way to contact a human. Second red flag, when I went to fill out an on-line complaint/dispute, one of the products in my order was given for free. It showed up in PayPal's pre-filled out form as $0.00. After filling out the rest of the form, I then went to progress to the next page.
In the most dystopian thing I've ever encountered, before I could progress to the next page, the form said I had to put in an amount greater than $0.00, but when I did, the form said the amount had to be $0.00. If this surreal incident wasn't bad enough, red flag number three was interacting with PayPal's Kafkaesque AI, which only accomplished wasting my time, raising my blood pressure, and making me realize how screwed we all are with a reliance on AI. And finally, red flag number four was when I learned that unlike my credit card company, PayPal is paid a percentage of the transaction by the merchant--approximately 2.5% to 3.5%. PayPal is not your consumer advocate, because they are paid by the merchant.
I have since cancelled my PayPal account, and my credit card company has filed a dispute with the merchant I was having problems with. In conclusion, PayPal is NOT your pal!!

The error said there was a problem try again later. After 4 times we called PP debit again, she said do it while I'm on the phone. Well the same message popped up. She suggested that I have my wife or friend send me money to my PP debit account then I give it back to them.
So I did, after I checked back to make sure they got it, which they did, I got an email & text saying the payment is made from My checking account would be posted on June 2nd. So now their getting paid twice for the same transaction... My bank can't cancel that payment yet because it hasn't reached their system yet, I called PP debit & asked them to cancel the se and payment so it don't mess up my bank account & cost me fees. I COULD SEE IT ON BOTH MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT AND BANK ACCOUNT. It was a sham investigation. They refunded me all $96.00 out of several hundred. I also did an FBI Cyber theft report. I described the actions of PayPal on the report.
Then PayPal got upset because I also reported it to my bank. My bank refunded me all the other monies which were several hundred dollars. PayPal claimed that messed up their investigation and they closed the case. The amount and purchases are still showing on my PayPal account. Don't trust PayPal. Even before that, their company said that there was nothing wrong with it and first offered me $2 then $5 for a resolution. I disputed this with PayPal and PayPal agreed with the company without viewing my video of the defective product and said that I was basically out of luck and the money that I paid for my cat's toy.
I would be very careful what you order via Facebook as some companies are unworthy and shouldn't be allowed to advertise online. You can't trust PayPal anymore. I'm sure everyone has seen the ads on FB that offer some product that is WAY too cheap to be legit from some company you've never heard of. Well recently, I decided to take a chance on one because they accepted payment through PayPal. Even though shipping progress was posted and even showed the product as "delivered", the product never arrived. I decided to view their site reviews (as I should have done in the beginning) and saw that every review said the same thing, that the product never arrived, that the seller was a scam.
I issued a dispute with PayPal. PayPal was initially leaning in the seller's favor because the shipping updates claimed delivery. That was all that their investigation seemed to be composed of. A few days into the case review, I decided to investigate a little. The FB page was still there, with every single review, over 40 of them, stating that the company was a fraud. Many also stated that they had issued a dispute with PayPal and PayPal had closed in favor of the seller. But when I clicked on the "shop now" button on the FB page, the sellers website had vanished. I reported all of this to PayPal, thinking that it had to help. The seller was clearly a fraudulent company. In the end, it did not matter. PayPal sided with the (now non-existent) seller.

The tracking number never changed from the one from china to a new one for here in the US like it usually does. The last update was April 25th saying it was going to the next destination and this was on May 5, 2025. I finally notified PayPal and they told me that I needed to notify the seller first, so I did. All the seller said was to be patient that it will arrive soon. The next day the new update said it was delivered on April 25 in or by a mailbox at just my zip code, didn't even state my address. Then it said on April 26 that it was headed to the next destination. Well.... if it was already delivered, why would it be headed to another destination?!?
I escalated the claim and PayPal sided with the seller because they said it was delivered and supposedly showed proof. Well, their proof is as fraudulent as their sell to me. I'm sure they already thought all of this out beforehand (as all professional cons do). So long story short. PayPal supports and sides with fraudulent companies and you will lose your money either way. My bank refunded my money thankfully. Ikea expected me to PAY FOR and SET UP a PICKUP for this defect furniture! Thru Paypal's link the Label alone they were going to charge me $10! I wrote so many emails till I was blue in the face explaining how I HAD to enter a bogus number in the tracking field because there was no other option given to allow me to respond with the fact that IKEA needs to setup/pay for the tracking NOT ME. They were not at all what was portrayed In the ads (I had bought four of them for a total of $79.97.... So basically, $20 apiece).
I contacted PayPal (They gave me a ' Conditional Refund') And said they would take it under review. It is now May 3 and it is still under review. I did get an email from them saying that they would give me the refund if I returned the items. The shipping label that I received with the items was from an address in California, But PayPal provided me with an address in China and said that was where I needed to return them. I went to return them and the shipping company Told me that because it was an international address it would cost me $100 to send them back.

I opened my account in 2003 and have used it for various domestic and foreign transactions over the years. In Jan-Feb I purchased goods from a seller located in China but stated her company was based in the US. No, she was not Chinese. After the goods were received, it was discovered only the first shipment was authentic, every item after the initial shipment was counterfeit. I followed the rules and entered a dispute. The seller responded with false allegations. The seller also began to reach out to people to people who knew me and began to discredit me. I informed PayPal I was no longer comfortable trying to resolve the issue with the seller and escalated the disputes to claims. I attached evidence to each claim.
The seller responded with the same to each claim as if all of the items were the same. The information supplied by the seller was wildly inaccurate with their comments finishing with “we will fight to the death”. Without any explanation PayPal closed the claims in favor of the seller. I called customer service again to try to understand what happened and determine next steps. They acknowledged I have a long standing history of not entering claims. I also told the customer service rep I was aware several others entered claims against this seller. They acknowledged multiple claims on the sellers account. The customer service rep reopened the cases and suggested I respond to the appeal by requesting an address to return the items. I followed their instructions.
Several days later my account was banned. Immediately after the account was banned, all cases were closed stating my account was no longer eligible for buyer protection. Dumbfounded, I called customer service again. They suggested I appeal the banning of my account and have my legal team find a fraud case with the courts. They had the audacity to state they would support me. I reminded the customer service rep she saw the multiple claims filed against the seller. The seller is committing fraud and using their platform to do it. PayPal is allowing and supporting the seller to continue to commit fraud rather than supporting a long standing customer. Do not use or link your bank account. Do not use if there is any other option. Do not expect buyer protection.

If you have to use PayPal, may be best to use it with PayPal balance.
DO NOT LINK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. If you link a credit card, at least you can dispute it with your financial institution, and they are much better at handling scams. But do not link your account. Despite being under dispute within 30 minutes of me clicking the zenfy.ac link, my transaction went through, and they charged my checking account. Not only that I heard they would also charge me for the dispute. I would go with the traditional banking system any day from now on than using these 3rd party transaction systems. They don't have governance or accountability. If anything, they are existing on enabling these scammers.

FIRST OFF: don't be confused by the different names on the receipts. Tracing all the bogus names of the company involved is difficult, and my correspondence from them on things being in transit has been entertaining because it's all different names. WHAT HAPPENED: I ordered water float valves through an ad on Instagram. The screen showed a total of $63 AND NO SALES TAX, and before I tapped the "complete order" button, I took a screenshot. I went to print out my receipt that they sent to my email and they'd tacked on 30% sales tax. No state in the U.S. has 30% sales tax. I immediately cancelled my order. They took the money from my card. I immediately requested a refund through PayPal. THE CROOKED SELLER disputed it saying the extra charge was due to exchange rates, cancellation fees, restocking charges or extra fees.
Paypal closed my complaint in their favor. Over the last few weeks the company continues to send me emails saying my product is in transit. SO THIS MEANS they did not cancel my order and they did not restock my product. Yesterday I received another email notifying me my product is still in transit (Since April 6th, 2025). I tried to file a new complaint based on failed delivery with the seller, and the company now has a thing that pops up saying it is blocked from receiving auto emails. What? I am not AI! I tried filing a new complaint with PayPal but once an initial complaint has been "resolved" there is no way to open a new complaint against a seller.
I rated PayPal at one star and where it asked for feedback to "improve" their site, I told them I wanted them to contact me, that I now needed help because the product was still in route and I don't have the product. CRICKETS FROM PAYPAL. I'll go back to just using my CC to buy directly, not use PayPal, and cancel the charge that way. PayPal, YOU FAILED.

Oh my God, the level of ineptitude at this company is absolutely amazing. My teenager wanted a certain piece of exercise equipment, she found it online and sent me the link yesterday. The website had a major retailer's logo all over it and looked like their site. I checked out with PayPal and then realized that I didn't get a confirmation email from the company so looked at the website again and noticed the URL wasn't right. It was a scam. I called PayPal immediately but was told I have to wait for the transaction to go through. It went through this morning and the scammer changed the amount I paid from $42 to $46 (how is that even possible without my authorization???).
I went to file the dispute on the paypal website and they have a limited number of reasons you can select from to dispute, none of them being "realized it was a scam" and no option for other so I filed it under the option for seller charging a different amount than agreed to option since that also happened and explained in the dispute description everything that happened and provided a screen shot of the scam website showing the URL and false logos. Paypal immediately denied my claim saying "This decision was made because our records show that this transaction was processed correctly." I called PayPal since this made zero sense. I explained everything again and asked how this doesn't qualify as I authorized a certain amount and he just changed it (no explanation, no authorization). The person couldn't give a reason, just kept repeating that the transaction was processed correctly. What??
She then said the only thing they can do is file it under order not received and wait for the seller's response, giving them 10 business days. I asked about the fact that I gave them proof that the seller was illegally using a company's logo and representing themselves as that company. She just kept repeating that the only thing they can do is file it under the order not received. At this point, I thought my head might explode from the ineptitude and ridiculousness of the situation. I asked to speak to someone higher up and was put on hold for a full HOUR. Finally, another woman picked up but was equally as unhelpful. I, again, asked for an explanation as to how this didn't qualify under the billing issue. She said I would need to submit proof of this.
I explained that they already have the proof: I authorized a certain amount at checkout, PayPal sent me emails confirming that amount and then the seller changed the amount without any authorization from me. Paypal sent me an email saying he changed the amount. "You approved an authorization to Misael ** on April 26, 2025 for $42.05 USD. Misael ** has updated the total amount of your transaction. Your new total is $46.00 USD." That IS the proof! Paypal already has that information! She said I would need to send a receipt. I explained, AGAIN, that I didn't get a receipt because it is a scam and pointed out the illegal website again. She then just started repeating that they need proof and would not explain to me how their own records weren't proof. I realized at this point that there was no reasoning with these people. She said they had to change the case to "order not received" to proceed with the case.
I didn't have any another option since facts and reality didn't matter so I agreed and now will be waiting the 10 days I guess. So to recap;1. Paypal allowed the seller to take more money from me than I authorized (aka stealing).
2. Paypal has proof of this theft and is not doing anything about it.
3. Paypal has proof that a seller is illegally misrepresenting themselves as a legitimate company and is not going to do anything about it. Doesn't this make them complicit?

Called in advance to enquire about fees and was told that it will be corrected and it hasn’t…
Spoke with manager who initially blamed me for the fees because I had to call in after I made my payment to inform them as to where the payment should be allocated to…who the freak knew that was something that customers had to do nor was I informed of this from the numerous calls I made. It is unheard of that customers had to call to instruct the billing department as to which transaction I should have my payment made to. I have been a wonderful customer for years, made my payments early and multiple times in the billing cycle…NEVER late!
All the manager can tell me is that I should have informed the representative where I want my payment to reflect to and refused to view and take into account of ALL the payments made prior to the 30 day grace period made to avoid the interest fee. Frustrating to have to repeat myself….Literally it’s like talking to a wall!! Like the many other consumers who left their reviews!
Beware of the high fees amd the missed information that customer service tells you….”You have 30 days grace period and if charged interest fee just call and we can reverse it!!!!" All lies, they will come up with some scheme to tell you why they can’t because it's your fault!!! One representative told me that they couldn’t reverse it because I passed the 3 days because I am calling now in April!!! I said the reason why I called in April is to follow up on the many calls and claims that I had made numerous times in January, February, and March!! The problem hadn’t been resolved!!! Title: Frustrating Experience with PayPal. I recently had a very disappointing experience with PayPal that left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. After using their service for several years, I encountered a problem with a transaction that seemed to spiral out of control. First, their customer service was unhelpful and difficult to reach. I spent hours trying to get in touch with someone who could assist me, only to be met with long wait times and representatives who seemed uninformed about my issue. It felt like I was talking to a wall, and my concerns were brushed aside.
Additionally, the interface can be confusing and unintuitive. Navigating through the website to find the information I needed was a hassle, and I often found myself lost in endless menus. Lastly, I was charged fees for transactions that I didn't expect, which felt unreasonable. There was little transparency regarding these charges, making it hard to understand what I was actually paying for. Overall, my experience with PayPal has been frustrating and disappointing. I expected better from a service that is supposed to simplify online transactions. I would recommend exploring other payment options that may offer more reliable customer service and clearer fee structures.

PayPal's customer service and dispute resolution process is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The lack of accountability and refusal to investigate properly is unacceptable. PayPal sides with sellers regardless of proof, leaving buyers unprotected. Never trusting them again.

I always thought PayPal had my back if something went wrong in a transaction. I ordered 3 items from a company I had never used before. Paid with PayPal. I received 2 of the items and went on there. Inquired about the third item, they told me that it was already shipped. When I told him it wasn't, they wanted to see a pitcher of what I got. So I sent a picture then they said, you never ordered it. I said yes, I did order it. Then they wanted to know the order number which I had already given them, but I gave it to them again. Then they said, it's in transit. And I asked, why didn't you tell me that when I first emailed you? Where's the tracking info? I finally opened a dispute with paypal. I gave them copies of all the email exchanges. I gave them my side of the story. They said it would be like 10 days. In the cella could respond, the seller responded with. It's in transit.
I followed up with the way they gave me the run around in the emails, I don't believe it is in transit. Can I just have my money back for the 1 item I dif not receive. They ask the seller to provide a tracking number. They came up with some tracking that I'd never seen before. It certainly wasn't our normal ones, ups, usps or FedEx. It honestly looked like a spreadsheet made up. But at the end it said that it was delivered to me. It was not delivered to me. It never was shipped. Why wouldn't they have shipped in same box. Absolutely, does not make sense.
I didn't realize this company was out of China. They would certainly would not have shipped it separately. Because they would have had to pay a lot for shipping and PayPal. Just closed it and wouldn't listen to me. Since that happened, I did a little research, and this is happening to everybody with this company. I tried telling them it says research their files. There's other people that paid with PayPal, and they never got their stuff. Do not trust that PayPal will have your back because they will not!

They are stating that I have a limitation on my PayPal account although I had no account at the time of the transaction. They are refusing even to refund the money to my credit card. This is a theft. Any idea on what to do?

PayPal is a dishonest business that preys on veterans and seniors. They use codes and numbers for transactions to hide the actual vendor to confuse and delay users from solving a problem, they turn ON subscription plans without your permission and make it impossible to easily find access to turn this off or contact PayPal to stop it. PayPal uses UNVETTED staff to handle issues with your private financial data, which then can be used for fraud and stealing money from your account.

I wish there was a place that I could share this so everybody could see. I am a 32-year-old single father of two boys. I work about 60 hours a week just to provide for them and still have trouble making ends meet. I use apps like PayPal and Venmo, Cash App, etc. sometimes for payments at work. However I found out about PayPal's crypto option the other day and decided to deposit some money and check it out. Although I wasn't so impressed as I have been with other applications it was fairly simple and straightforward. I tried to transfer the money to another crypto wallet of mine and had trouble so I contacted customer service. That's when it all started, nobody had a good answer for me. My money was basically stuck on PayPal. After doing a little research and calling customer service multiple times I found out that I probably just needed to wait a day or two.
The last phone call that I had with customer service the woman had asked me to upload ID, saying that it may help to update my verification. The next thing I knew my account was blocked and I no longer can use PayPal. Mind you I do not sell anything on PayPal. I rarely ever use it. I bought crypto one time and tried to transfer it and this company has the authority to just hold my money and they still have not even given me a reason as to why. So basically they are just holding my money without any rhyme or reason. Sounds pretty criminal if you ask me, I've reached out and tried to find out what I did wrong to no avail. I tried to contact PayPal multiple times now to release my money or to even find out why it's frozen. Nobody seems to have an answer and I can't speak to anybody that would be able to explain it to me.
The lousy $30 that is in my account is unavailable to me my hard-earned money, as minuscule as a lousy $30 may sound that is my gas money for the week. In summary I will say PayPal obviously has a decent reputation however I have never ever even heard of this happening let alone have it happen to me. Someone who does not sell products online or transfer money to people often. Beware. A very well can just freeze your money and not even tell you why. Hopefully it's only $30 and not much more, if I could afford a lawyer I would be surely taking them to court. I have never been treated so poorly from a business in my life. I hope this reaches some people to spread awareness about their capability to shut down your account and freeze your money without even telling you why.

Pay Pal was “okay” however multiple times I tried to cancel it & have had nothing but issues! #1 issue is the customer service do not speak English well and extremely difficult to understand them AND supervisors! I've continued to try and cancel my PayPal account because my information had been compromised and there are not enough identification protections in place for me to continue using! And still to this day I’m still trying to get my account closed and information deleted…. Just today another “attempt” came through from Australia and I’m in USA...aurgh!!!!

I only put a star because I had to. This company is horrible. Their customer service is the worst. They will never give you a refund if needed. They won't even give you an explanation. Please please don't ever use them.

After having PayPal for 20 years I had 0 issues with them, until I did. Had a fraud case and everything to prove it. They told me that I needed to talk to the police to resolve it, and the police said it was a PayPal issue. Neither one wanted to help, dealing with PayPal's terrible customer service and just trying to get an actual person on the phone was it for me. They kept the scammer's account open even though I gave them proof from multiple people that they ripped off, I'm out my money and they are out 1 measly little customer....

As a business owner, I despise Paypal. As a consumer, I am canceling my credit card because I hate them so much. They are impossible to reach and reason with, and withhold a very substantial amount of our cash, which they collect interest upon. They are hopelessly out of with our seasonal business.

Companies have been contracting with Paypal for fund distributions and I think they should think twice. PayPal has an absolute no other option policy that requires you provide them with a mobile phone number and sign an agreement that you give them permission for PayPal and other advertisers to send text messages to your phone. I received a class action award notice from the Federal Trade Commission that I had been awarded funds recovered and I needed to click on the link to Paypal to set up to receive them. I had closed an account with Paypal many years ago after multiple problems with the company.
I called Paypal and explained the problem. I was told she could set up the account without the mobile phone but if I wanted to use it I would need a mobile phone number. I then said, "What you are saying is that I need to go back to the FTC and tell them you have my funds, but you will not give me them until I buy a mobile phone with texting." He replied basically, yes. A few months ago I was awarded a very small amount and gave up on opening an account after encountering the mobile phone issue. I think the FTC itself should be investigating ebay and find out if they are keeping all this money they are given to distribute and then make it difficult for people to collect.

I was blocked on PayPal because apparently I had something suspicious on my account? Anyway they holding my money 61 $ for 120 days. And they act like it's OK to hold my money for so long? It is not ok. Customer service blows me off too every time I try to talk to them. Stay away!

They deserve 0 stars. Been a loyal PayPal customer for a couple years now and I signed in yesterday or attempted to I should say, and I cannot access my acct. Called PayPal and was told my account was locked due to me owing $4. Now here is my issue, I can’t access my account to see where this charge is coming from, I get monthly statements that state nothing, and I was never contacted. This agent could not tell me anything about the charges just kept saying to pay the $4 and it would be unlocked. I don’t care if it is $0.04, I will not pay ANYTHING until I can see where it went. Never have I been so dissatisfied and disrespected in my whole life.

Paypal sucks! I didn't have this account for 1 week and they closed my account and still have my money with no reason why? All I did was receive money. They put on hold then decide to shut it down for what? Don't use paypal. They suck!

I used PayPal a couple of times with no problem. The last time I used them, it turned out to be a scam. I don't blame PayPal for the scam, I blame them for how it went down. I made a purchase off of a Facebook ad. The prices were too good to be true and they were. The next day I received an email supposedly from the manufacture of the product which increased the amount I paid. It wasn't a lot more but this is where I blame PayPal. How do they increase the amount without my approval? This made me suspicious so I called my credit card company.
When I talked to Pay Pal and told them I talked with my credit card company they said they can't do anything. My c.c. company reimbursed me so I was ok but I wanted PayPal to answer why did they authorized the additional amount? They said they can't help me as my c.c. company was already involved. This make me leery to use them again if anyone can increase an an amount without additional authorization.
