Most UnProfessional, Useless Company on Earth! I have no trust for and feel insecure depending on. Customer service don't understand the problems, scams going in their backyard. Most of the call centers in other countries, poorly speaking reps.! Non Working Corporate office contact number, nobody care, Nobody gives a crap about people! This is the story with PayPal Scams!!!

Most of merchant you’re dealing with are ** dishonest—and your customer service are not supportive at all to customers At this point, I would never use PayPal again, nor would I ever recommend it.

Horrible experience. Money my mother sent me for personal support was used for subscriptions, even though I believed those payments were supposed to come from my linked checking account. When I contacted PayPal for help, I got vague answers, inconsistent information, a promised callback that never happened, and then my account was permanently deactivated without any clear explanation. Customer service was frustrating, dismissive, and completely unhelpful and my money is frozen for 120 days with no explanation

I have had to dispute numerous purchases after it becomes apparent they are ** cons! PayPal most every time supports the cons and denies my dispute! I have closed my account!

PayPal will not honour your rights even when you receive shoddy good, not fit for purpose under consumer rights. There is no point in using them and would never use them again. Don't learn the hard way like we did. It is meant to give you "Buyer protection" guarantee.

It seems it’s hard to navigate their systems at all now. And if you have a question about trying to respond to a dispute about a seller they limit your response or offer no response from you at all. If you can even start a complaint with out hours of searching on their sight. And now after starting my complaint I find that if you have to pay for return shipping to get a full refund it will coast as much as the refund so is it really a refund then? And they don’t really seem to care. As long as they don’t have to pay because they will say you didn’t do what they wanted you to do and found a loop hole to avoid paying you back.

My credit card was charged for a purchase I did not make. PayPal refused to support me even though I contacted them immediately. Now I’m stuck with going through a return process for a product I did not order and may not get a refund for. Horrible customer service. Be careful with PayPal. They do not value their customers and will not support you. BTW, I immediately canceled my credit card and I advise everyone to do the same.

Stop supporting companies that are literally scamming people. The company PayPal was in favor of, delivered my package to the wrong address. Their photo helped me locate my package at the wrong address. I retrieved it only to find that the company sent me the wrong product. They begged for me to let them fix it by sending the correct product. They failed to notify me when they delivered for the second time. I found out 10 days later after randomly tracking the package that it was delivered, but they misdelivered it again and to an unsecured location. It should've been delivered to my front door like all of the other deliveries I receive regularly.
This time, my package was not recovered, so now I'm just out of the money I spent on a product that I never received and despite all of this, PayPal closed my case in favor of the company that falsely advertised to me by misrepresenting their products, sent my product to the wrong address, sent me a photo plaque of an elderly white couple when the photo was supposed to be me and my wife who are both African American, sent another product to fix their mistake, but failed to notify me of the delivery until I tracked the package 10 days later only to find out that they delivered it to the wrong location yet again! I never received what was supposed to be a valentine gift for my wife, and to throw salt on the wound, PayPal sided with the company instead of refunding me my money. This is the second time PayPal has sided with the company that stole from the customer. I will stay away from using PayPal for anything from now on.

If I could get PayPal as zero, I would. I filed a complaint with PayPal, letting them know that I didn’t receive an item. I even shared with them the company that did not send my item forged a fake shipping company. I demonstrated proof. I gave them phone numbers. I gave them a fake website that was given. I even called them- Meaning PayPal and while on the line, the customer service agent was able to verify everything I said was true and told me no problem, wrote down the notes and there was no way I would not get my money back. Guess what? PayPal appeal department came back saying, "Oh it was shipped. The the seller showed us a shipping receipt," like I said from a fake website that was not verifiable.
Do not ever trust anything PayPal says about backup. They they don’t honor what they say they will do and trying to get a hold of them is nearly impossible. Simply a joke. Unfortunately, a couple of places will only take PayPal - When being an Apple Pay. Otherwise, I would simply disable this ridiculous site that I would not support any further. I can’t even seem to get rid of their credit card, but I will never use it again.

I had a company try to make an unauthorized charge to my Paypal account. Paypal would not help with this fraudulent charge. So I had to change my Visa card and contest the charge. And because of the way Paypal allowed this to happen, I requested they close my Paypal account several times. However, they are refusing to comply. And giving me a runaround. Saying they wouldn't close my account until I change my password? Which makes no sense to change my user name and the password on a account I want to close.
They also say I must provide a letter from my financial provider saying that the card used in this case has been closed. Which it has been. Makes no sense. They know that that debit card account was changed months ago. I have heard many other stories like this from other Paypal customers. First, they have poor fraud protection. Then they want to give people a hard time to quit Paypal! All I want is for them to close my account once and for all, without a bunch of issues! I'm a disabled retired Firefighter/EMT and Paypal is causing me a great deal of stress over something that should be very simple to resolve.

A man hacked my account. He sent himself $10 then $100 then $1000. Obvious fraud. PayPal told me they don’t cover “personal payments”. I feel like they’re complicit in this theft if there’s no protection from scammers!! I’ll NEVER use PayPal again. My bank suggested I block them from my account and that’s exactly what I did. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!! If I could I’d give them zero stars.

In Q4 2025, PayPal had a promo wherein they were offering 20% back in points for all purchases. I made four(4) purchases and received the cash back for the first two. I never received the $60 I was owed for the last two (2) orders. PayPal kept telling me to wait and assured me I would receive the funds, but I never did. I filed a CFPB complaint and PayPal, after over a month of waiting, finally responded that they had changed the terms so I was ineligible for the rewards on the last two (2) orders. I did not get any notice that the terms changed. Nothing was stated when I checked out, and I had all the screenshots showing I was owed the cash back. This is straight-up fraud.

I was told I would get a 12 passenger van. Enough room for 11 people, including a car seat and a wheelchair. What we had, a 9 passenger van with no space for a wheelchair. I was told; "You will have a 9 passenger van until the other one is done in the shop." Then I was told; "... You can wait (3 hrs) for it to get fixed or use this one." I was not given an option for a refund. The option was wait or take this 9 passenger van. I then told Bahtours since we can not fit the two other people and the wheelchair, they are not going. I made that decision because I was not putting my 90-year-old mother, and her wheelchair in a 15-year-old van with bad suspension (most seat belts were not able to work as well). There was no room for the two other people. That is why they did not go.
The options I had were either lose the $700 I paid to Bahtours or take what they had. The bigger vehicle was supposed to be done about noon. We went to lunch at 12:30. I asked the driver if he heard anything about the bigger vehicle. He said he would call. The driver may have called but he did not tell me anything. I wanted to pickup my mother when we got the bigger vehicle. We had lunch, made another stop before heading back to port. After at least an hour of trying to get PayPal to see that similar items do not count if the replacement is not safe, PayPal told me Bahtours would like to offer $100 as a courtesy. I did not accept the courtesy offer.
I do not understand how how PayPal can justify 'similar' when safety and comfort are integral parts of the agreement. After paying through PayPal, my receipt from Bahtours was from Mysunx.com. I searched online and found very bad reviews concerning refunds. Paypal should not blame the consumer for for choosing safety.

I have had a negative $5000 balance on my Paypal account which is now locked. For some reason, Paypal approved sending $5000 to India for service on my laptop computer which is worth almost $700. This is what happens when you use AI. A human being might have said, "Hey that doesn't make any sense. Let's contact the person who owns the account." Of course, that was never done. My Paypal account was checked and it's now -$5300. Using Paypal is a license for crooks to just steal. I want my name cleared; my balance at zero. And I plan on never using Paypal again.

Absolute trash of a company! They only care about the sellers and will willingly screw over buyers. Even when the sellers are in the wrong. They don't care if you got a bad product or got screwed over. They will never help you.

PayPal has been one of the most frustrating companies I’ve ever dealt with. My account was suddenly limited with no clear explanation, and my funds are now being withheld for months despite me complying fully with their processes and providing all requested evidence. Customer support has been unhelpful and dismissive, and even basic requests — including a Subject Access Request — have been ignored multiple times. There is a complete lack of transparency and accountability. For a company that handles people’s money, this level of service is unacceptable. I will be escalating this further.

I have had a Paypal account for a while now because they refuse to close my account without uploading my driver's license. I had to sign up for an account for one of our wedding vendors and I have had nothing but fraudulent charges on my account since. I get about 40 emails a day with spam saying my account has been hacked and I have had 17 fraudulent charges on my bank account because of this. When I try canceling my account I am told there's a dollar in my funds and I need to transfer it, but my account is locked so I can't. I do not care about the dollar, but when they told me I have to upload my driver's license with a license number, a photo, and my address I decided not to proceed. Now I'm getting more fraud from them, and I won't be giving my license to a company who I'm getting all these fraudulent charges and emails from.

As a result of an unprofessional customer service representative, I need to pay PayPal again. Finally, I had to pay for the item, which I never received. DO NOT USE PAY PAL.

I trusted this company because it is everywhere! When I actually looked into my account, I noticed a charge that was not authorized. Further digging they have allowed $$$ in purchases from same company. After more digging they also charged me for purchases made on different CC. I'M into hundreds$

Pay pal is no longer a good company. They are outdated. I selected to make payments and they took the whole amount. Good luck trying to get your money back. Just use any of the other companies. Now I am out of $700 dollars when I could have chosen the other companies and would have been making payments. They said I selected pay pal credit that’s why they took the full amount. Attention, PayPal the reason why customers come to you is to make payments. If that happens, cancel the transaction. Why would you do something like that and take the full amount? Cancel the transaction. Why would you take the full amount of a purchase knowing people select PayPal to make payment on a full purchase monthly. PayPal has existed for years and they still can’t get this right. Sad.

2.PayPal invalidated my credit card on file which was unrelated to the bank account. I validated that.
3. Paypal will still not let me make transactions without other validations, and their resolution page just drives in circles. There is no way out.
4. Other validations are photos of documents Federal ID numbers are not enough, gotta be a picture, and that process is not simple.
I have been a customer for 23 years with never an issue. Now it has been several weeks and even if I comply it will be even longer. Paypal knows me, I am a known customer, we have transacted business since 2003. This is insanity. I am inclined to tell paypal to stuff it and go elsewhere.

Horrible business service & terms. Overcharge on fees to the seller. Then double hit the seller with a lousy exchange rate. On top want to charge seller for moving funds from PayPal to bank account. This is only the beginning of unethical business behavior.

After being a customer for years since the early 2000s, PayPal customer service severely let me down and I’m furious with my experience. My account information was hacked and I’ve gone a month fighting back-and-forth without any resolution or updates from the dispute after catching it and trying to resolve it. My account was limited and was not accessible has taken five months of fighting just to fix it out of my time and disputing them the ridiculous amount of my personal time and frustration is not worth being a customer or dealing with this company anymore. It’s severely gone downhill and not trustworthy as a consumer. I can’t speak enough about how poorly the company has become the terrible customer service to resolve any issues.

Pay-Pal use to be fantastic. I have had an account with them for close to 15 years!!!! NOT ANYMORE!!!! I had a bunch of Fraudulent transactions a week ago (4-5). I not only can't get a human being that speaks english well enough to understand, I cannot use the online service. So I had $3500.00 stolen out of my account and I cannot even send or receive any info. In my 65 years on this earth I have !! NEVER !!!! Had support this Horrible!! They are even worse than "ATT"!! Attached pic is what I got 3 times trying to log into my account!!!!

I transferred money to PayPal from my bank. Started it one day, my bank processed the payment the next day. PayPal kept my money and hasn't released it yet. I called their customer service. A woman I could barely understand answered and tried to tell me that the bank had not sent the money yet, so they couldn't release it to my account because they haven't received it yet. I know, when my credit union removes money from my account they transmit it immediately. So, I'm pretty sure she lied to me. I will be waiting for my transfer to complete, pulling that money out, then closing my PayPal account.

For many years I have used PayPal as a protection from scams. I just had another scam and of course PayPal went in the scammer's favor. No longer will I be doing business with PayPal and I advise everyone else to do the same. They are not what they used to be. You thought you were protected using PayPal. Guess again because you are not.

They stole $2500 from me. They tried to bribe me with $100 to drop my complaint. I currently have a lawsuit against them. Don’t fall for it. I can them 10 of thousands a year in fees and you treat me like this.

PayPal allowed some stranger (**) to steal $180 from me. I sent them a statement telling them I had no idea who this person was and I did not authorize the pay out and that I had not purchased anything from them. They gave me a case number and said they would investigate. Their investigation showed that nothing unauthorized happened and let it go. Now I'm out $180 and I'm disputing with my bank but, PayPal is off my list for good. This was my first time signing up with them and now I wish I never did.

Aborted a process to buy products from a website when items appeared on the final purchase total that I did not select. That company then processed the order with all the equipment they added into the items I wanted to buy. IMMEDIATELY after I aborted the purchase process, I notified Paypal and my bank not to process the payment. Paypal 'chat hell' took days to identify and speak to a human. Very caring (sounding) and thought it was dealt with. Next I was told to file all sorts of complaints (via AI chat)- every part number that was added to my purchase list needed its own complaint process, its own review with Paypal, its own remediation process number etc. Advised by human agent to document process and provide evidence of following sellers process to return. I shipped the unopened products back (when they arrived 3 weeks later) through UPS with a tracking signature.
Sent the proof of receipt of returned product into PayPal automation and waited to hear. They decided in the sellers favor because the product was what I (selected) on day of purchase. Again...I aborted the process without ever agreeing to sellers bill of material that included parts I did not want, never agreed in any way, the boxes were checked with no way for me to uncheck or deny....so I 'jumped' out of website app and the process completed for almost a dozen more pieces- NONE of which I selected or checked. Buyer beware of buying anything through from a company that uses a 3rd party shipper/handler. That insulates the seller and plays right into the Paypal process from hell.
Again, PayPal process is loaded toward a seller and offers almost no PROTECTION for a seller who 'fudges' their website to add pieces to the purchase process that you do not need. Like power supplies and dongle cords, and AC cords...sold EVERYWHERE for more than half of the cost charged onto your final purchase price. The Moxiplayer people are to blame but Paypal is an enabler to their fraudulent purchasing process. And Paypal just makes it so hard to speak to a human and , when you get one on the line, the conversation does not get entered into the complaint evidence for other Paypal peeps to refer to....so...when you have to call back in...deja vu....start all over. That is why I say Paypal does NOT represent you in a purchase complaint. They are VERY loaded toward shipping products and moving money from buyer to the seller.
And when something goes wrong, such in this case when a fleecing seller 'monkees' the final parts count, or processes an order without a consent from buyer, or (in my case) reports to Paypal that a transaction was COMPLETED by a seller when they gave their credit info before a bill was presented as part of 'opening an account with us so we can..treat you like dirt and as long as we have one assertion form customer (like..do you like our product" or "are you interested in buying a Moxiplayer dongle" LOOK OUT ! They then threw in all kinds of extra power supplies, AC cords, etc that were priced exceedingly HIGH. At that point I aborted with out EVER checking a quantity box...they were all checked for me...no way to uncheck, never came to a final total checkout after 2 pages more of fluff junk (bloating the bill) so I just left the site. Called the company many times. Said lines all busy or trouble in area. No one ever talked to me.
I contacted "help@heyhey.cc" NEVER heard from PAYPAL staff. Sent cancel my order to support@Moxiplayer.com. Never could get in .. Got an email from seller MoxiPlayer <hello@moxiplayer.com> saying they were shipping.. NEVER spoke to anyone at sellers contact. I knew I was being had. All this was reported into PayPal and they just threw dirt into the hole, over the top of me, that was dug for me when I tried to order from the Moxiplayer site. Moxiplayer billed through their Paypal, using a separate order number for every item, they added onto the final bill.
This created 5/6 different complaint streams I had to file and track, and tend, and pester Paypal to follow up on BECAUSE Moxi uses a 3PL partner (someone receives the orders, prepares the product and ships it) so..this builds up more distance between seller and buyer, and...therefore..more distance gets added when Paypal decides they have right to INSERT themselves into the process to provide payment for what you buy. They do not trust the buyer without the buyer having to assemble a dossier, rivaling what an law processor needs to present in court. Do you see now?!!! Paypal is NOT the buyers friend (...unless you can prove you are worth trusting by Paypals process vetting.) Believe it !!! PayPal does NOT care after they have your credentials on file. They processed the money ALTHOUGH I PULLED MY CREDIT CARDS ON FILE AND CLOSED MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT DAYS BEFORE THE ORDER WAS PLACED.
I am now canceling all my credit cards they had and removing the debit card. (BTW..Although I cancelled the purchase and pulled my cards from PayPal, they still pulled it from my savings account, via the debit card info they still stored on their server. I have to close my accounts at the bank and re-opened new account just to make certain PayPal cannot pull anymore money thru ACH.
It's been a journey and don't say I didn't warn you. Paypal is not your buddy and is not 'helping' you when you buy. They just add another layer of response where you have to prove yourself to them before they help with products - made so much worse when the products you don't agree to buy, but the request for payment precedes the response time on PayPal's part to help you with a bad actor website. Stock market says PayPal is losing value and I should hope so. Too bad some great people work for PayPal but their leadership is lying in their logo - they are PayPal's to the commerce of making money and using others peoples money. That's theft in my book!

I used to like PayPal and had been with them for over 20 years, but I don’t know what has happened, but I feel as though they have had extreme changes in staff that have led to poor service in many areas, including refunds and refund policies. I literally had companies that were putting me on phony, subscriptions and taking money out of my account and it was obviously were doing it, and Paypal did nothing about it. Unbelievable!

Paypal needs new leadership and management.... They have 88000 complaints weekly in the US alone... I made a simple credit card merchant transaction with a customer l... Paypal immediately placed a limitation on my account with no explanation and after 6 years doing business with paypal they made me explained what my landscaping company do for a living.. We have been in business for over 24 years...then they kept my hard working money that helps me pay employees and bills and say they will release my funds 120 days later... Basically they have scammed me for my own earnings for interest for paypal...
This company has no shame or good reputation standards anymore... The executives should be fired and replaced... Their customer service are very unreliable and have no management to help you get what could be an emergency... That money was badly needed and paypal could be a death to your small business.... Please do not use this company at all... They only will take your money and leave you penniless.

PayPal doesn’t protect small businesses from fraudulent chargebacks. They process the transactions but it’s the small businesses pays the price and holds all the risk. On top of that they charge an additional $20 fee for processing the charge back. Unbelievable!!!

This is the worst company to work with when you have been mislead by a product. And are requesting a refund. They don't investigate and the side with the seller no matter the proof of bad business practice, I will be closing my account and working with another 3rd party company who protects their clients.

To start with I ordered from a company called BM trade supposedly keeps giving me I can't remember if it's a Washington or an Oregon address. I speak with somebody named Olivia. Now initially I contacted PayPal because I started receiving emails from this damn trade claiming that my item had been delivered which it had not. I put in a dispute to find out what was going on. PayPal told me these people had almost like a month to respond shortly after BM trade goes online sends me an email says, "Hey so we're acknowledging your issue. Can you take the bad review down?" No of course I can because I still don't have a the product so at this time I have to go and purchase this product from a company in the UK. Now I immediately get the product from them in about a week and a half and they sent it Royal Mail. It should have been my mailbox..
No problem so I once again reach out to BM trade as well as PayPal and I tell him I'm not going to need that product. I don't see it showing up so whatever on the last day which would have been me think the 11th 4:00 p.m. tried to respond to PayPal. I suddenly get the merchandise and I immediately tell them I don't want it because what's the point I had to spend over $200 both times. One came immediately. There's no need for me to have the second one. How do I return it. BM trade tells me, "Well we'll let you keep it and give you 5% back" and I'm like, "No I want to return it." So then they tell me, "Well I talk to my team and my team says will give you 15% back if you keep it." I don't want to flipping keep it. At this point I'm very angry.
Then they have the nerve to send me an email that says, "We'll take pictures of the item. We want to make sure you didn't open it." Can you believe so of course I just sent those photos because I just woke up but can you freaking believe the audacity that they're going to show up with a product of month after oh and in the return addresses but I think this is Oregon Washington something like that Olivia in Washington and they say from there it's going to go to Hong Kong. So much difficulty buying this BS and number two they're shipping was free but to return it now they say they're going to take that out of my original money so it's definitely a scam and PayPal is there for it because they just sent me an email and says, "Oh we got tracking information so we're canceling your dispute."

For these past two weeks I have been dealing with PayPal with that Google Play scamming mess. I told them they took the money off my account when I went on Cash App, because my card wasn't locked. These idiots favored the scammer anyway. So since I have seen many people are saying the samething. I think paypal are working with the scammers. That would be the only logical explanation, because why would you favor the scammer over the customer's own earn money? Yeah and the way that lady talk to me, telling me to talk to Google the ones who scammed me as if they would give me my money back is insane. Then tells me they don't know when they will give me my money back. Never again will I be using them.
I disputed this with my bank and got a new debit card. They will not be seeing that one that's for sure, but I am about to cancel paypal. I had enough with them. They started off good, now they people in there that works for scammers, because too many people are complaining about the samething it's an inside job that's for sure. They used to be good, not anymore.

PayPal does not seem to care about the buyer once a problem arises. When you report an issue, the response is always the same: “I understand your concern, we will get back to you.” Unfortunately, nothing meaningful happens afterward. In my case, I filed a dispute because the product I received was falsely advertised. Despite providing the details, PayPal closed the case without resolving the issue. It appears that their main focus is collecting transaction fees rather than protecting their customers. My recommendation: Do not rely on PayPal for buyer protection.

I ordered 200 stamps for $27.97 and then they mailed me $279.33 in stamps that I did not want. It is fraud. I did not authorize it and they had my credit card #. I cannot cancel my credit card because I have other companies that I have set up for auto pay. I do not have charge on my credit card statement until 3-25-26.

After reporting fraudulent activity on my account, I am told by PayPal that the transactions were 'NOT unauthorized' ABSOLUTELY UNSAFE UNSECURED AND DANGEROUS PLATFORM. STAY AWAY!! I am still in the middle of the dispute, but will close my account and remove all my information from PayPal. I was lucky this was just someone trying to buy $230 worth of canned tuna, twinkies and macaroni salad from Walmart. The loss of money could have been much greater!! I will file a complaint to the proper channels, but my advice to you is STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL. IT'S NOT SECURE.

I have used PayPal for 20 years. Paypal has a send page. On that page your common people show up for quick options to send money to. Now I have been scammed twice. People somehow add their scamming email address with the name of the person who we send to, but the email is a scammer. Before you did not not have to check. You just trusted if they were there they were the true people. I even sent $3700 to my husband when I saw his initials. Of course to friends and family. But it was a fake address. Paypal will do nothing because I did not send goods and service. They scam you by ignoring scams unless you pay for protection when it is not for goods and services.

I have been using PayPal from the beginning but will no longer use them since they decided to favor my dispute in favor of the scammers, even after I did their research and proved that I was scammed. I reported my problem to PP before the product was pulled from the shelf on January 7. In March the scammers fraudulently reported the item delivered so PP took their word for it without doing any research. I did the footwork, found out how scammers will manually enter information and use the names of reputable shipping companies. They even provided pp and me with different tracking numbers. I pulled information on both tracking numbers with information that said neither shipping company had any information on the shipment. I sent documentation to pp. They denied my claim TWICE in favor of criminals. This clearly shows to me that whoever reviews these claims does not read the information nor do they care about the customer.
It’s a shame that they do not care about their customer enough to do their job effectively. It took me 25 years to realize that PayPal scams too. PayPal has made shopping online feel safe for me but I can no longer trust them to have their customers' safety foremost and cannot even let you talk to someone working closer to the problem.

PayPal is by far one of the worst companies I’ve ever seen. Withholding payments and asking for bank statements in order for you to receive payment. Blocking your account until you provide them with certain information, this should be against the law. I will never use PayPal again, and I’ll be sure to warn people about them. I have been a PayPal user since 2013, but I can now confirm that its security is no longer reliable. My account was compromised, and when I contacted PayPal’s hotline, they were unable to provide proper support. This is a legitimate review, backed by full evidence of unauthorized debits from both my PayPal account and my linked bank account. Based on my experience, I strongly advise staying away from PayPal—the trust built over years can be lost in seconds.

They stole money from my checking account and gave it to a fraud who hacked into my account and made it look like me and it was not and then PayPal was trying to tell me I owe them money. No that’s not ever going to happen. Ridiculous! I was a customer for 20 years and I will use them again. They have sided with the fraud company and telling me, "They have proof. You don’t have proof." I have proof with my bank reimbursed that the money was stolen out off. And your customer service don’t even let you talk, just remember KARMA!

It seems as old PayPal stands up for the rights of people that sell counterfeit coins and will not return the payments made after they have been found to be counterfeit and have been turned over to the Secret Service as prescribed by law. I like a fool, went and found a buy on silver Eagles on Google and purchase them using PayPal credit. Within 15 minutes, I realized that I had been scammed and tried to stop the sale, but PayPal Resolution Center went ahead and had them shipped me to fake coins. I then took them to a legitimate coin shop that had the gun to see what content was in the supposedly 99.9 silver eagles and turned out the only thing they had into them was copper and zinc. I have been trying to get my money return but they keep insisting that I return the product to China, where these coins came from, even though I have turned them over to the Secret Service.

Something has changed at PayPal! I have been with them for over 8 years. In the past, customer service was polite and professional in helping with anything! Now when I call to speak to them, the representative tells me, "We do not have any supervisors for you to speak with." Two recent interactions have made me NO LONGER do business with them. I sent a friend some money. I sent it to his 'old' account. He could not get the money from that account. I sent the money to his new account. When I spoke with Customer Service and followed up with a dispute, PP said he would have to call PP to request they refund it. He called. They wanted the bank account number he stopped using 3 years ago. They told him they could not refund it, that I would have to call them back. I called them back, they said he must call. After over 10 phone calls, PayPal still has the money! THEY will keep it.
The second most recent case involves a purchase I made through PP. I NEVER buy what I did, but thought by going through PP, they would stand behind me! WRONG! I bought a mystery box "2 MEGA Mystery boxes" worth over $1300. I know, too good to be true. But I THOUGHT PP had my back. I paid $96 through PP. I got a small box with a cheap smart watch, USB cable, and knock-off earbuds. Total not worth $150. When the SMALL box arrived, I called to ask where the other boxes were, I was told that was it. "Some boxes are worth $1500 and then some aren't." Offered me 20% back! What a joke. PayPal said I did not file my claim with in 30 days. I spent 40 days trying to work with the seller! Bottom line...PAYPAL has moved from being a great company to being a BIG HUGE RIP OFF COMPANY! Never again will I do business with them!! NEVER AGAIN!

I have been a PayPal member for 10 years. I recently purchased from a store in New York maniere de voir. I returned the item over a month and half ago because the two item were too big on me and I had to dispute with PayPal which took more than a week. They ruled in favor of the merchant. I have tracking information that shows the return was literally done the day after I received the item and that the merchant clearly received the items, but never chose to return my money. I was under the misconception that PayPal was a level of protection. I’m now had to appeal the denial. Why do I have to fight for my money? There is no protection for the person. Please save yourself the headache and stay far away from PayPal.

I have been waiting since early December. First through Cashapp and now through Paypal. I have spent over $100,000 in fees trying to get my money.. Cashapp was crazy, but paypal is worse every day. Yesterday I sent $1650 to them. Today they want an additional $11,000, apparently because the timing of part of that payment wasn't to their liking. How much in fees should I have to pay to get $50,000 transferred?

Looking at an item for possible purchase. Decided to not purchase as I was in PAYPAL'S {PP} system. I did NOT complete the purchase. I did NOT select the - pay now - type of option. A couple weeks later I received the item. Contacted PP, they email confirmation as listed above. Yet - “contact the seller“ is their never ending reply. It is not a seller problem. It is a PP problem. PP released payment despite the fact that I did not authorize the payment. Hours on the phone, email, AI, supervisors etc… results in PP saying it’s not their problem and “contact the seller“. So, they are happy to spend your money - even when you decide not to.

My wife has had a PayPal account for many years. This week she tried to order some parts I need for an electronics project. The purchase was blocked by PayPal. Five calls to PayPal customer service with three assurances that her account had been restored and was working has resulted in the account STILL not working. Trying to talk to the reps on the phone is extremely difficult due to poor to marginal English usage by the reps. The customer service is absolutely worthless. I don't have any receipts since purchases are blocked. The credit card and PayPal account are in good standing per PayPal and the credit card company. I do NOT recommend PayPal to anyone under this customer service situation.

Terrible custom protection. We purchased a mini washer that clearly stated brand new just open box. Washer arrived. To my horror it was in a box that was though a tornado so much old packing tape. Open it up. The machine was filthy and gross, full of mold dirt etc. I filed with the seller and after I discovered the model number did not match the order I became suspicious and open with eBay. No luck. Just dragging feet. Not understanding that the washing machine is a biohazard and could not be shipped by courier. Should not have been shipped to anyone in the first place. After numerous tries and no one on eBay understanding the situation we tried PayPal. PayPal assured us after getting all the photos documentation the condition of the machine that this situation would be corrected and the fact that we were open and being exposed to seller fraud because of the mismatched model numbers so we were very leery on sending this machine back.
I'm wondering if that's why the seller wanted it back so fast. Anyways we were given a second shipping number and again this cannot be shipped back. They wanted pictures, more documentation. I couldn't send any of this in the PayPal form without putting the tracking number. We were supplied a second time with the tracking number. Fast forward well over a month no updates. Nothing. Laundry's piling up.
Finally got a hold of my bank. My bank does charge back the very next day. Guess who sent us an email? PayPal demanding we pay that we still owe. It was completely paid off n4...the bank got all our money back now PayPal sided with the seller despite all of the evidence of being fraudulent, disgusting, dirty, etc and close the case siding invalid shipping number or something like that and I'm like, "That's the number you gave us" and the only reason I put it as I explained it's because that's the only way I could give them the information they wanted through their form. I don't know if I'm missing anything else about this case but I'm really not happy and I won't be using eBay again or PayPal ever. Don't believe their customer protection lies.

I ordered a T-shirt and a sweatshirt from a company. I did not receive payment confirmation, but instead got emails from them saying there were items still in my cart. So, I we ordered it and didn't get confirmation again. This happened four times. On the fourth time I got a confirmation. I received all four orders at separate times and only wanted one. When I tried to return the 3 unwanted items with the seller they would not take it back even though they had a 30-day refund policy. I called PayPal and they told me that I should file a dispute and that they felt that that was wrong and that I should get a refund. I filed a dispute and the seller was going to just pay me 65% of the order after many communications with them. I got to the point I was going to accept that but then read reviews of their company and they weren't good reviews.
When they told me that I had to close my dispute before they would give me the refund. I was advised not to do that. So I escalated the claim with Paypal. PayPal sided with the seller and I ended up not getting a refund back. I'm very disappointed, I have been using PayPal for years and have always had good experiences. I am disappointed that the customer was not put first.

I have used PayPal for years. I have always confidently used PayPal for fraud protection when recently I made a purchase from a scam site. After all submitted multiple different screen shots of tracking info that didn’t match one another. PayPal sided against me so I lost $80 dollars and I’ll not be using PayPal anymore. I’m glad I never had issues on larger purchases.

I've used PayPal for years without issues—just small purchases here and there. That changed last November when I discovered a fraudulent $1,200 charge from a hotel in Amsterdam on my bank statement. PayPal normally emails me about every transaction, but not this one. When I called PayPal, they claimed it was set up as a recurring charge, which is why I didn't receive a notification. I explained that I was in the US, not Amsterdam, and clearly hadn't made this purchase. They promised to investigate and instructed me to change my password, which I did immediately.
Ten days later, two more fraudulent charges appeared: another hotel booking in Amman and a Saudi Air ticket from Amman to Jeddah, totaling $4,600. The airline ticket confirmation even came to my email with a Saudi man's name on it. When I called PayPal again, they absurdly suggested I had purchased it for someone else—at 3 AM from the UK. I asked them to cancel everything since the travel dates were nearly a month away. They refused and insisted I had "received these items." I'm now out $5,800. What baffles me most is that PayPal failed to flag the second round of purchases after I'd already reported fraud. Any legitimate bank would have immediately flagged and blocked these suspicious transactions.
I've since learned that PayPal is a favorite target of hackers and scammers, likely because the company prioritizes transaction fees over customer protection. I'm warning everyone I know to close their PayPal accounts, and I urge you to avoid using them. There are plenty of safer alternatives, including banks that offer virtual credit cards for one-time use.

I am very disappointed with PayPal. I purchased shoes with PayPal and they weren't as described. I reached out to the seller and had no luck with the refund. I purchased items from a merchant through PayPal and received the wrong items. I immediately filed a dispute with PayPal for a refund and agreed to return the incorrect items to the merchant. I received a message from PayPal stating that the merchant agreed to refund my order in the full amount once I returned the items for which the merchant would not provide a return shipping label. I explained to the PayPal rep that it should not be the responsibility of the customer to pay for return shipping when I was sent the wrong items. The customer service rep just continually repeated that I needed to pay to ship the items back to the merchant to receive a refund. When I asked to speak to a supervisor the customer service rep refused to transfer me to one stating that he had already answered all of my questions and that the supervisor would tell me the same thing he did. I asked several more times to speak with a supervisor and he refused.

I would give a zero star rating if I could. I had a company fraudulently charged my card 49.99. For a monthly subscription. My personal bank contacted me to ask if this was me, when I told them no, they told me to go through Pay Pal for a refund. In the last month I have spoke with 5 people, including a supervisor. Everyone of them assured me if I just went through the process, my account would be refunded. The case was appealed 3 times, every time it was sent back they sent it back for a different reason. Never the fact that I did not authorize the transaction, or want the subscription. The final decision was in favor of the fraudulent charge. Please be careful what you purchase through pay pal. No one knows what they are doing, nor do they care. The last time the charge was reviewed, it was a supervisor who I spoke with, before we hung the phone up I received an email, stating it was denied again!

Paypal has created a claim against a charge I made without notifying me. I returned one of the items on the charge. As a result of PP's claim, I have not been able to receive the refunded money (over $300). PP is unable to explain why they made the claim. Initially they were unsure of which charge I was referencing, they then blamed my credit card company (I have this in writing) and they ultimately blamed the seller. The have mislead me in terms of the time in which this issue will be resolve. Their overall accounting is concerning. I no longer trust PayPal as a service.

Family sent me $800 using PayPal to my PayPal and they put a hold on it for 72 hours. I can not use the funds for ANYTHING. Not to shop with or to pay bills. PayPal will not let me even expect the funds nor will they allow me to transfer it to my cards. I have done ALL the security checks and even called them and done more security checks over the phone and they continue to steal my money. I'd they do not release my funds I am going to put a class action Lawsuit on them for several different accounts of theft and fraud.

I placed an order and after doing so the merchant added postage handling insurance and taxes without my consent. I cancelled order not expecting to pay handling and insurance. Now PayPal tells me they will only refund the purchase amount disputed. They would not let me dispute charges the merchant added. I shall cancel my account because I can no longer depend on honesty placing orders. No help from PayPal. Will not listen to customers. The merchant took my $39.15. No orders, no merchandise and PayPal went along with this!

Worst customer policies ever. Had a negative balance because used to buy Crypto. The only way to pay balance is to authorize them to withdraw from bank account. Instead allowing wiring they only use ACH which takes FIVE TO TEN BUSINESS DAYS. In the meantime, your account is frozen. Then when the balance is restored, you STILL have to call them to remove the block on the account.

It used to be a good company, but now it's something completely incomprehensible! I made a stupid mistake and paid for the purchase through PayPal to a COMPRESSIONSALE/com company. I don't know how they do it, but they billed me for another back belt, plus they put me on automatic payment for purchases through PayPal and PayPal supported this fraud. I DID NOT receive my purchase, and after requesting a refund, I received endless correspondence with the company, with PayPal acting as the intermediary.
Moreover, when I contacted PayPal's consumer support for help, I don't know which country this "support" is located in, but in 31 minutes they managed to close my case with the COMPRESSIONSALE/com company. And when I demanded to speak to the manager, I was told he wasn't there... Eventually, another employee did answer me, and SENT MY CASE FOR APPEAL??? WHO IS WORKING AT PAYPAL RIGHT NOW???? What should we expect from PAYPAL next??? Maybe I need to change my credit cards immediately? Maybe I need to urgently change my credit cards before PayPal messes something up with them too?

Just canceled our PayPal account following our attempt to resolve an issue they were not about to touch. We sent a payment to an artist we have worked with for many years, but she never received the payment. When contacted, PayPal informed us that while the payment seemed to have gone to a different person, they (PayPal) did everything right. They suggested we contact the party who received the money (in error) and convince them to return it. Really? We don't consider that either a solution or a resolution, but more of a "we can't be bothered". Fortunately for us, it was not a large amount of money so we finally threw in the towel and walked away. But we will never use PayPal again and we appear to have a lot of company.

PayPal is holding my money even though the transaction is complete and the customer already has the item. I sold my computer, delivered it, and got paid — yet PayPal decided to put a hold on my funds anyway. So now I’m out my computer AND my money, while PayPal sits on funds I legitimately earned from property that was mine. There is zero justification for this. The buyer has the product, the transaction is done, and I’ve upheld my end 100%. Apparently PayPal feels it’s okay to freeze money that doesn’t belong to them, with no real explanation and no urgency to fix it. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and honestly feels like theft disguised as “policy.” If you need access to your money in a timely manner, do not rely on PayPal.

I went through my PayPal account to get payment to a company called LUMI. It is not the deodorant company! LUMI has deceiving business practices and they immediately charged me $29.95 for looking into their service and then charge me an additional $17.50! I was livid because I checked the site. It was absolutely nothing that I could wear. Or would buy for $170 for one piece. So I asked LUMI to cancel my account. They said they do not cancel anything and they would not refund me any of the money. So I placed a dispute with PayPal.
PayPal did not get back with me and they did not refund my money at the time that I contacted them.. So I was worried that I contacted my bank because I was afraid that LUMI would have information connected to my bank. My bank refunded me the money, but somehow PayPal decided that I owed them money and so they put a hold on my account. I am not new to PayPal. I have been with them for nearly 20 years. So I contacted them because they locked my account.
Evidently, they felt that my bank took the money out incorrectly. So they wanted the the $29.95 back! So I tried to put the money back into my account, but they locked my bank account on PayPal. I was only able to put $17.75 into my PayPal account. Then it kept asking me for more information. I did this for two days and kept checking the site. At the last day, which was today. I finally got a hold of a live person at PayPal who didn’t want to tell me their name. Finally they told me their name was Selena. Selena is supposed to be a manager. The rudest person I’ve ever met. I told Selena I wanted to make sure my account was OK. She said my account will be fine as long as I put in the $12.45 that I had left to pay.
I replied I’ve been trying to do that for three days and it would not let me do that. And they said, "That’s because your account was blocked" and I said, "But my account was being paid." Additionally, there was $12.45 still left unpaid. I kept trying to pay my account and it would not pay. I was trying to tell them as there was a screenshot showing it. The person said it, "You can do it now. You are incorrect."!! They were insinuating that I was lying. I was not lying. I was very upset, though, as I had never had this happen. There are going to be other methods. I won’t be accessing this account soon.

PayPal sent a payment from me to the wrong recipient and they refused my claim - twice. They said I had to collect it from the person it went to - the wrong recipient. There are several other payment services that are much easier to use. I would strongly suggest not using PayPal.

Where to I begin...first off, I've had a Paypal account for 26 years. I opened it years ago when it was the easiest way to pay for things on Ebay. I would use them frequently over the years because it was easy and they had all my account information and I falsely believed that my accounts were secure and that I had buyer protection. Boy was I wrong! I recently noticed two charges from a video game company (same exact charge, same day "Codashop") for items I did not purchase. I opened three claims with Paypal in which they denied all claiming that I indeed made the purchase though they wouldn't show me any proof or how they came to that conclusion. So much for buyer protection and customer loyalty!
Their customer service (of of India of course) is a joke. It wasn't until I filed a claim against Paypal with my bank did I get the charges reversed. I'm pretty sure that Paypal is in cahoots with the scammers. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Now that I have my money back I will be closing my Paypal account and NEVER using them again.

I placed an order with a company and used PayPal to pay. I ordered the wrong item. I contacted the company immediately to cancel the order. They said it had shipped already, but I could get a full refund by returning the item when I received it. But when I received it, they wouldn't tell me how to do the return. So I filed a claim with PayPal. They put down the wrong reason for me filing the claim. I talked to 3 separate people who said they fixed the information on the claim, but each time they hadn't. One outright told me the transaction was covered and they would just refund me the money within a day. I did not receive that refund, and the claim was still incorrect. So PayPal found in favor of the other company. When I contacted them a 4th time about this, they told me they couldn't help me because the claim information was incorrect.

Filed a request to investigate and recover the charge. They replied and said it's an approved charge. I called and after an hour reached a human. Explained what happened and was told all sorts of promising things, value your business, blah, blah, blah and that they filed an appeal for me. Just received an email stating the charge is authorized and they are done helping me. This is after a 1+0 minute conversation and two online requests. I now have 2.5 hours into a $9.99 charge. Pathetic. I am done with PayPal.

Stopped using PayPal 6 years ago, because they kept trying to pull thousands of dollars out of my checking account for a cancelled order, kept contacting them to get them to stop and they wouldn’t and they locked me out of my account, paid off all valid charges on the account and stopped using them, they charged my account 40.00 a month in late charges plus interest on all of the late charges for at least a year that I know of then closed the account and sold it to a collection agency that’s as big of a piece of shit as PayPal is. DO NOT USE PAYPAL!!!

I will never use Paypal again. I did not make 2 charged purchases and was denied reimbursement and the fact that it has been allowed reveals a lack of security in the Paypal system. I have removed all payment sources from the site. The business that fraudulently charged me is Amoapps Harnafit. I did not purchase anything from this company but was charged on Paypal anyway.

I have been with PayPal for 16 years, and they were very good back then. In the last few years they have become unusable with no real way to talk to a person in the USA. This is my advice to all DO NOT use this service, I have had Apps that I never used charge me, and when you try to get your money back, PayPal asks for more information. If you never requested the service and are charged. What type of information can you provide. When you eventually get someone on the phone. They can’t do nothing for you, and when you try to remove your own information. They make it nearly impossibly. Although I only lost $149 to some App call Hint. They have lost me and all my family members as customer. I am closing my account. I am done with this highway robbery.

PayPal is becoming increasing difficult to deal with. I've been with them for about 13 years now and I've never before experienced having to give a deposit for a purchase that I made with a Pay in 4 plan. When I make a purchase I usually use the Pay in 4 option where you pay over time. Now they are putting a hold on my account for a certain amount and then debiting my account for the payment plan amount. This is ridiculous! PayPal you have to do better for customers who have been with you as long as I have.

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would! I have been a Paypal customer for years! I ordered merchandise from Shein, $517 and some change in June 2025. There was a few items I never received! Multiple emails to Shein, they kept saying they were delivered! I put a complaint into Paypal! In the meantime, I sent back $332. and some change back to Shein with merchandise that didn't fit! I sent Paypal every piece of documentation to support my returns MULTIPLE TIMES!! Paypal keeps saying they don't have enough documentation from me or Shein! Been a customer on PayPal 14 years now when I got scammed out of $84.00. Bought a Dewalt drill kit from Ebay. Tracking number was sent by the seller. And item said delivered on the 1/05/25. I called UPS and they asked me the tracking number. I gave it to them. UPS said the item was a Amazon item bought from that site and was not my item, UPS said it was not no Dewalt drill kit that they did not delivered, I was told someone somehow got that tracking number and was able to put it on my eBay item. I have been unable to get my refund from Paypal and they will not contact UPS to confirm it was not my item that was in the package. The weight that UPS said on the package that they delivered was 48.8 pounds. My item would have been less then 5 pounds...I fought with them for 30 days on this and the seller never contacted Paypal just Ebay..I'm out all my Money. Wish I had someone to help me...

I want to tell the PayPal community how incredible PayPal's assistant is, in simpler terms, it is the most efficient, most comprehensive automated chat I have ever had the pleasure of using. We've all tried dealing with our account issues using 24 hour chats and let's have it they're usually extremely frustrating and one ends up leaving them hanging after finally giving up. I'm my job, I am awake and taking care of business during graveyard hours then sitting all day so I have most of my business interaction at night when customer service has closed.
Most of not all automated features are poorly designed with limited abilities for accomplishing even the most simple of tasks. However PayPal has somehow found a way to offer a chat not that can redoing to your questions as if it were a human entity. I'm so impressed with it I couldn't believe my eyes, who of this I'm speaking to? Open a PayPal account to see what I mean, I'll bet you will be amazed at it's uncanny abilities, and you will leave the sure feeling satisfied and at peace with your session!

Ordered an item online using my PayPal account thinking I would have protection on my purchase should something go wrong. NEVER received my package. Opened a dispute with Paypal. Paypal received false tracking information from the seller saying that the package was delivered, but it never was. Paypal ruled in favor of the seller and denied my request for a refund. This was for a large TV! It was NEVER delivered! The seller listed fraudulent tracking information that changed daily (I know because I kept checking it ever day). When I made the claim on December 31, the package said it was still going through customs. When the seller gave the tracking information to Paypal in the middle of January, the same tracking information said it was delivered on December 20.
Come on Paypal...this seller is scamming YOU now too! And as I write this review today, my version of the tracking information that was provided to me says the item is still in transit. Absolutely unreal, poor, terrible, atrocious customer service with Paypal! What happened to this company? They used to be WAY better than this and now are just a bunch of bots. Never again!

PayPal is horrible! They don't fight for you if you are wrongly charged for something. I was scammed from something on Facebook. I clicked for a 3-day subscription. The app charged me for All 3 of their subscription options. I contacted PayPal to let them know what happened. Now common sense would say, something is wrong here. Why would anyone pick 3 options for subscriptions and be charged 3 times to use the same app, but No, they took my money and sided with the people that stole my money. I couldn’t even use my 3 days on the app because there was no way to even use the service. I told them that, and they still sided with the people who stole my money. Use a bank that fights for you!

I purchased 2 pairs of shoes from Temu from their local warehouse in the US which is where I live too. The selling page showed they offered refunds. The second day after I received them I asked for a refund because they did not fit properly. I was told by Temu's customer service that I would only get back over $18 and not the over $60 I paid for them and to keep the shoes. Their page mentions nothing about this return/refund option. Apparently they do not offer FULL refunds.
I called paypal as that is how I paid (the four in four option) and they said no problem and that any of the rest of the three pymts would stop because I opened up a case. I showed lots of proof with screenshots. Many days later told I'm not covered and they still took out the pymts. Last one is due this week. I'm not covered at all by using them so I stopped using them. I can easily use a credit card and dispute from now on. I'm truly floored that they could not help get a refund because I clearly showed these shows were refundable.

Someone wrote a message about "being on the phone with their customer service". If I could interact with an actual human I wouldn't still be spending time every day back and forth with an AI bot trying to explain why their answer has nothing to do with my question. It has been weeks literally to try to resolve a scam. They tried to "rule in the favor of the vendor"?? I asked what could they have possibly said that would make them believe the vendor over a 30 year customer? I seriously doubt the vendor even replied....Either way, as with all my questions, the bot didn't understand and sent some totally unrelated reply. I had no idea how frustrating this could become and now know better than to opt to pay with PayPal.

I haven't gotten to the final decision on yet another bait and switch company fraudulently selling items far less than the item as advertised. I keep getting duped rather than being suspicious why I am tricked into processing payments through PayPal because other payment choices don't work. Paypal canceled my debit card because of possible fraud which was good on December 28. Today's date 01/20/26. Still have not received my replacement. Called on the 15th of January. They said it should be in the mail today No Card. Called again on the 17th of January. Then sent a replacement card through FedEx I said great finally. When I opened the FedEx envelope addressed to me it had some other. Customers name on it. Called again. And the representative said it been mailed out on the 17th and hung up. Now I have to wait again because they emailed it.. It will be over a month for a replacement card. Crazy.

I contacted PayPal about them not using my designated preferred card. After having issues before and as an occupational habit, I documented everything and took screenshots. They basically kept bouncing it back to me like it was my fault. I repeatedly told them I had proof that I already had a preferred card set and I do not need instructions on how to do it. I was then basically accused of lying, never once being asked for my screenshots. They are very rude and unprofessional on top of the fact they did zero to resolve my issue and took no accountability. Furthermore, their choosing a card at random could've inadvertently overdrawn one of my accounts. I've used their app for years without issue and was sincerely reaching out to resolve this. We have now removed all of our accounts and will use another payment app going forward. Ridiculous!

Be careful with PayPal when you need to request a refund from a fraudulent company. PayPal makes you fill out a series of forms, asking for all the transaction details, including the amount of money you want refunded. In the end, PayPal only refunds the shipping cost, ignoring the total amount requested. They don't even bother to verify the information you provide! If you have a claim, it's better to call them directly and not use their online system; it's a complete joke. Oh, and if the case is closed, they won't reopen it. PayPal doesn't care about continuing to work with fraudulent companies, and ultimately, the customer is the one who loses.

I used PayPal sometimes. Felt it has good reputation. One day I got an email from PayPal’s line of credit saying my payment would be due. I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR A LINE OF CREDIT. I looked to see who put charged and it was NEBULA. I googled Nebula and PayPal and an AI response says MANY complaints about Nebula and PayPal. Never signed up with it. No refunds etc. I contacted PayPal and wrote in the victim of identity theft and to close the line and refund the money if taken. Mind you, the amount was like 50 dollars. PayPal responded that I did on fact open the line and I did in fact sign up with Nebula. You’d think PayPal is aware of the thousands of complaints about Nebula. You’d think they would sever ties. No. They keep Nebula. I found who does the PayPal line of credit and it’s a bank. I filed a fraud complaint with them and I filed a fraud complaint with CPB. PayPal posted a response they are right. I am wrong.
After more than 45 days, the fraud dept of the bank said yes I was the victim of identity theft. They closed the line. They made Nebula pay the bank for the charge (I never paid it). I then cancelled PayPal. Be aware 1. PayPal does not seem to care about the users. I laid out factual reasons and PayPal took a blind eye. 2. PayPal ignored me when I sent a link to them showing hundreds of complaints regarding Nebula and PayPal. 3. Obviously it was a scam and PayPal took the merchants word. Period. Do not use PayPal. They have a security L problem and choose not to address it. There are other more reputable companies than PayPal.

On December 31st. There was a scam site that took out $49.99 from my PayPal account called Yolo Brothers inc. But who they actually are is AskNubula. So I filed a dispute with paypal and had to wait and wait and wait...Only to hear paypal decided to side with them!!! So I filed another dispute just for the SAME THING to happen!!! So I called them to file another dispute...lot of luck that did! SO now I am telling anybody who will listen..Just how shitty paypal is!!! This is not the first time either...10 years back paypal decided to lock me out and I had no access to my money! Cause of scammers (so once again the scammers Won!?!) I was finally able to open a new account 8 years ago only to have a $150.00 taking out by a scam site...and guess what?? I saw no money because just like ALWAYS paypal sides with the scammers! They trying to have more business and offer more service but I really have bad experience with them, personal and my business too. I have been using PayPal since 2007 and never had an issue until recently. They permanently put a limit on my account and will no longer let me use paypal to make purchases as I've done for years. They said it was due to unusual activity. I only make retail purchases from well known retailers as I've done years prior. They would not elaborate on the reasons so what's the point of me having the account open then? They won't even let me close the account down. This is ridiculous and their customer service is awful and not helpful at all.

Last week, they just pulled the plug. They permanently deactivated my account with zero warning and no specific reason other than "security."
Trying to get help was a nightmare. When I reached out to chat support to get the official Notice of Dispute and Arbitration forms—which their own contract says they have to provide—the agent actually refused to give them to me. They are literally blocking me from the legal path to fix their mistake. This is costing my business over $1,000 every single day. If you’re a serious seller, do not trust PayPal with your livelihood. They don't care about 26 years of loyalty; they’ll shut you down and stone-wall you without a second thought.

Today, January 9, 2026, I received a current statement and the balance was higher and my January 1st payment was not showing on the statement. I called PayPal to find out why the balance was higher and why did it not show my January payment. I spoke to 4 different customer service reps and they are trying to tell me I was looking at a different account; well, I only have 1 PayPal account so that's BULLSHIT! I have been a member of PayPal since the 90s when I had my own business on EBay. Now as a consumer I have had several run-ins with items never sent to me that I paid for through Paypal. I have their buyers protection, and I was just on the phone with their customer service for 5 minutes max, and they're going to refund my money because I have that protection through them, and the more I buy through PayPal the more I know it's such a good deal. They have your back! The phone customer service is courteous and informative and gets the job done! Also, they have the pay four plan with no interest at all. Just divides your larger payment into four smaller ones. 100%!

Paypal has very limited reasons for return or dispute. Therefore you have to choose something in order to continue. We chose "Item received not as described" instead it should have been, item received not purchased. We purchase the Free Trump coin which should have only included a $7.95 shipping charge. Click Wu LLC decided to add on another set of coins that we did not purchase. You don't see it until after you get the receipt. We called and they tried to get you to agree to a $5 refund. Which we denied.
Then we contacted Paypal. First they ask you to try and settle with the company. That didn't work. Then they ask if we had returned the items. (We had tried but never able to get through, they always hang up) so we tried to return it and the company denied it. Paypal of course denied the claim. This company has been doing this a whole lot and PayPal knows it. (Looking at the reviews many have already complained about this company for some years now). Seems funny to me that they know this company is fraudulent, yet still denies any and all claims against it. I think we need an investigation into Paypal.

I have been a client of Paypal for 20 years. I made a purchase thru Paypal with a company that ended up being scammers that promised a nice popular item, but delivers something different that is worth less than 10% of the original item and then shuts down the website. I filed a dispute with Paypal supplying concise documentation showing what I ordered, as compared to what I actually received, info that the website no longer existed, along with info demonstrating the company clearly overcharged me by 35%, emails where they admit they didn't send me the correct item and correspondence showing how the seller tried to bribe me into closing the case. Paypal closed the case, ruling against me stating that I didn't supply them with any documentation...apparently without looking at all the evidence I supplied! So I am now out $89. DO NOT TRUST Paypal!

Even one star is too many. I have had a PayPal account for over ten years and I use it to receive a small portion of my freelance income and to pay for innocuous online purchases. A few weeks ago they unilaterally decided to permanently disable my account with no explanation or forewarning given. No matter who I contact (customer support email, online chat bot, frustrating AI phone agent, an actual customer service human), I keep getting the same unenlightening script: "Your account has been extensively reviewed and we have decided to disable it, but we cannot share any information about why we did so." The human agent also shared the very helpful information that I can't open another PayPal account. Zero support, zero explanation, zero accountability for their actions. It's extremely frustrating and makes zero sense to me.

PayPal helps scammers who steal from customer funds. When a dispute is reported, PayPal accuses the customer. I believe that PayPal profits from the scams. I had a very long financial relationship with PayPal before reporting a scam. A scammer took funds from my account via a gift card purchase. I reported the pending transaction to PayPal. The rep assured me the issue would be reported. Instead, PayPal accused the customer. I no longer have faith in PayPal. I hope others read this and use a different financial platform.

Have been with PayPal for over 15 years, and enjoyed the convenience of paying with one click when ordering something online. I recently ordered an undergarment. Paid with PayPal, and the vendor sent me a receipt by email showing a charge of $27.00. Then received a notice from PayPal of a charge from a vendor I had never heard of for over $41.00. I immediately contacted them and opened a dispute, thinking it was a scam. PayPal did research and informed me that it was a legitimate charge. I explained I had a receipt from the vendor for $27.00, and sent them screenshots to prove my point. Two days later, PayPal said they were closing my case as the charge was legitimate. I am closing my PayPal account, after more than 15 years. They were no help to me and I believe this may have been an inside job, and I will pursue further investigation into this matter.

Everyone should know PayPal is a scam. They keep your refunds, and do not release them back into the account, despite a trusted supplier confirming they have issued the refund. Almost four months and three disputes, and PayPal keeps closing the dispute even though written correspondence and confirmed return is provided as evidence.

So if you buy anything using PayPal and never received the items don't think they will get your money back because that won't happen. They have the shipping label that shows the wrong address and even proof from the USPS. I would stay far away if you don't have to use them. (If I could give a zero I would.)

I've been a customer for over 20 years. This is the first time I've been given the run around and lied to by PayPal. I purchased an item online via PayPal Fastlane on Dec. 5th and just after making it, I realised I made a mistake as it was not the usual transaction one would make with Paypal. Never got a confirmation or updates on shipments. So I immediately contacted them and made a dispute. After several calls, I was told it would take about 8-10 days to find out what the results would be.
On 12/13, I was sent an update by PayPal that my claim was denied because they believed what the seller sent them (tracking number) without researching further. I called them on the 16th and they told me to get proof from the post office. Initally they said to fill out the online form with the Post office. They made me do all the footwork. I stopped into my local Post office and they said it wasn't delivered to me and that I should call the Post Master at the 800 number and report it which I did as there is no such online form as Paypal stated there is. I was told it was fraudulent tracking number which has already been used. The Post Inspection Office couldn't understand why PayPal hadn't called them about it as they speak with them all the time.
I called PayPal back on 12/16 and gave them the information and stated that the Post Office can't give any written statement to that. The payPal representative stated they would re-open the case. So today I called PayPal this am and was given the run around all over again and then transferred to another department which I assume was the resolution department who takes care of this. When I spoke to the representative, she spewed out the same old story saying the case was denied. I blasted her and said I wanted to know when the last update on this case was only to find out that my call on the 16th was never re-opened. I demanded to speak with management and was put on hold. She comes back and says that a supervisor will call me back as he is busy with other calls. I've been waiting hours for a reply and so far Paypal has not called me back. To be continued....

I paid for an item with PayPal from a company that I didn’t realize, at the time had an F rating on BBB. I paid for the item and then I was charged for a subscription to that company which I did not sign up for. I asked PayPal to cancel that because I hadn’t wanted a subscription and they repeatedly found in the vendor's favor. I managed to cancel the subscription immediately, but PayPal would not refund the money, $49 for the first year.

PayPal is completely useless, if not dangerous! Even where a seller has promised, then reneged, a refund, and all of the proof was sent to PayPal (several times), they still refused to support their customer. I have blocked all payments to PayPal and will never use them again, even though they send constant, annoying, dunning notices.

I love Paypal. I have been a member for many years over 20. They have helped me through many cases. I advise anyone who shop online to always pay through paypal please 🙏. Because there are too many fake websites out there that can’t be trusted. And for any reason you don’t receive your items or you don’t get what you purchased you can go through paypal and they will argue your case and contact them for you and issue you a refund. So please when ordering item go through paypal to purchase. They also have it to where you can pay later. The only down fall is when returning items you have to pay for your own shipment to send back. But you will get most of all your money back. Love this company to pieces. My account was hacked, my wallet only contained a credit card. I reported the fraud to PayPal and my credit card. My fraud insurance covered, but PayPal (after being a customer of good standing for 27 years) would not believe me. They are still harassing me and won't let me close the account unless I add financial info (I have new CC number now) which I refuse to do. The hacker was in a completely different area of the country and was trying to send things to an address in their state. I am so disgusted by the way I was treated (CS like a bunch of high school bullies) that I will never use them again. The disrespect after being a customer in good standing for close to 30 years was unbelievable.

This is most unfortunate, I refuse delivery due to damaged merchandise, two unprofessional casual labor delivery people who can't speak English leave with the merchandise, I file file a claim of damaged merchandise and the vendor has no recourse because the delivery company can be dishonest and claim we delivered, does anyone have a signature proving delivery? Nope, most unfortunate, this is what wrong with business today, companies only are interested in their own agenda and not customer service or doing what's right, no integrity, and I feel the same way about PayPal, a scam, no integrity. If you have a PayPal account, be cautious and check it often, or close your account. Paypal service is the worst. I've had PayPal for years, but after this situation, I'm closing my PayPal and never using them again. My PayPal account was hacked and changed to a business account. While it was hacked, I haven’t used my PayPal since last year. Someone was putting money in my account and other people were taking money out.
Once I called to report my account was hacked PayPal refunded $1000 to this person who was using my account illegally by putting money in, and others were taking it out, which put my account negative $996.89. It wasn't negative until I reported my account was hacked. I have emailed and called PayPal several times and even talked to a supervisor twice. They kept saying it’s being investigated, and the case is closed.
Yet I'm getting calls from collections about this negative balance that was caused by PayPal from refunding someone who hacked into my account and was using illegally. Yesterday the supervisor told me to contact claims department via email to reslove this. I did and all I got was a reply about reasons why I have a negative balance. Nothing about resolving the negative balance that was caused by PayPal. All I want is to have this negative balance off my account and to close my account, but nothing from PayPal is getting resolved. I'm so frustrated about this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I made a single purchase from a company for a week's worth of dietary plans. It was not a trial and it was not something that would indicate follow up charges would occur. A week later, the company charged my Paypal account for a much larger amount. I disputed the charge with paypal who informed me that any business or company could charge my account once they were linked to my account. The veracity of the charge did not matter to paypal. They put no effort into ensuring the claims made by this company. They simply sent the company one email for the company to validate that I made a charge. The fact is that hundreds had also complained about the same fraudulent charges emanating from this company.
After 22 years of being a paypal customer, they failed me by allowing a business to make a fraudulent charge to my account. To top it off, they argued with me about the meaning of fraud. I tried to close my account and they would not allow me to do so because I blocked purchases. After this experience, I no longer trust paypal with my money. Given their lack of ability to collect facts and examine proof, they will not have access to my banking information again.

The truth about PayPal. PayPal doesn't want you to know what I'm about to tell you I hope this reaches a lot of people and hopefully it will do some good. PayPal has been locking down people's accounts, freezing them and doing illegal suspensions, allowing a hold to be put on people's incomes with PayPal. Most of these people in fact rely on PayPal as a source of income and they are constantly accusing their customers of committing fraud, but I’m here to tell you the truth. PayPal is claiming that they have AI, which is Artificial Intelligence, that is running their computer system. They are blaming everything that has been occurring with people's lockout freezes and holds on their accounts on AI. But I'm here to tell you this is not true. What is really going on is PayPal and their employees are committing fraud and conspiracy to commit more fraud and then blaming it on their AI system so that people do not simply know the difference.
We all must live with AI, but we also know that AI is programmed to do what an individual wants it to do so what is going on is PayPal company has programmed AI to put Freezes and holds and suspensions on everyone's account. This is an extreme problem for new customers who set up accounts and then automatically receive money from legitimate resources, at which point PayPal will blame AI, and They will put a hold on their account for 72 hours and then you never see your funds at all.
This is how PayPal is committing fraud and theft of people's money by blaming it on AI. I have recently caught them in lie after lying recorded phone conversations of them lying. This also gets worse if you might have seen this getting considerably worse around the holidays. They tend to fraud people out of money around the holidays at its worst and then blame it on AI once again. I suspect PayPal is going to end up in the world's biggest lawsuit before this is over. I am not going to advise people to continue service with this company.

My pay in 4 wasnt fully refunded to me and when I tried to contact support, their AI bot kept running me in circles and then cut me off and said "bye for now"....are you joking? You are a banking app! If I have a concern I want to speak to someone or at least have the option to email somebody about my concern. I do not always have time to sit and wait on the phone while I am working. When I attempt to contact customer care, I do not want to speak to AI about you not refunding my money to me. I am a business owner in Belgium. I am writing this to warn other EU consumers that PayPal's "Buyer Protection" is inconsistent and arguably violates EU consumer protection standards (Directive 2011/83/EU). The Situation: I paid a US vendor (Trademarkia) for services they never delivered. The vendor admitted in writing: "Applications unsigned and have since expired." I opened disputes for two separate transactions related to this same failed service.
The Absurdity: Transaction 1 ($897): PayPal reviewed the evidence (the vendor's admission of zero work) and ruled in my favor. Transaction 2 ($1,395): PayPal reviewed the exact same evidence for the exact same case and ruled against me. The Lack of Transparency: When I asked why the second claim was denied despite the first one being approved, PayPal refused to provide the "proof of delivery" they supposedly received from the vendor. How can they have proof of delivery when the vendor admitted in writing that the applications were "unsigned and expired"?
Conclusion: PayPal arbitrarily withheld $1,395 of my money while admitting the service wasn't delivered on the other transaction. This is not a banking service; it is a casino. Next Steps: Since PayPal Europe is based in Luxembourg, I am filing a formal complaint with the CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier) regarding this arbitrary handling of consumer funds.

I had to split the difference when writing this review. I would give zero stars for the outcome of a denied $45.95 dispute involving a company called MadMuscle, which uses what I consider to be a wildly deceptive billing process. A quick search will show that many customers have had the exact same experience. I’d give 5 stars to Dianna with PayPal credit/Synchrony Bank for submitting my dispute a 2nd time. Like others, I believed I was making a one-time purchase of a Tai Chi walking program for 3 months at $18.99 total. During checkout, the company attempts to upsell additional products, which is common—but unlike most companies, there is no clear “decline,” “review cart,” or “checkout” option, only a “continue” button.
After clicking continue, a $45.95 charge appeared without warning, and it was only on the purchase receipt—after payment—that they disclosed that fee along with the disclosure of being a subscription-based product. As a result, I was charged $18.99 + $45.95, with a $69.95 monthly subscription set to begin after the three months.
What makes this even more unreasonable is that when purchasing the Tai Chi walking program, you are asked how long it will take to reach your goal—1, 2, or 3 months. I selected 3 months. If my goal is achieved in three months, why would I knowingly want to continue paying $69.95 per month for the same program? In my opinion, this is completely scandalous.
Although I canceled everything within five minutes, both through PayPal and directly with the vendor—and received confirmation of cancellation—the vendor refused to issue a refund unless PayPal ruled in my favor. Unfortunately, PayPal decided that adding an undisclosed extra charge did not warrant a refund. Zero Stars for PayPal.
What’s especially frustrating is that this company has numerous complaints describing these exact practices, and many reviewers stated they were relieved they used PayPal because they received their refunds. In my case, I was denied. The $18.99 charge is still under review, as PayPal is treating this as two separate transactions. I never intended to purchase anything beyond the $18.99. The $45.95 charge was simply slipped in, and despite canceling almost immediately, I was still denied a refund.
That said, today I spoke with Dianna, a supervisor with PayPal Credit / Synchrony Bank, and she provided five-star service. Nearly 18 days later, I had to start the process over, but even if it doesn’t ultimately resolve in my favor, I have far more confidence in her ability to help. If I can avoid dealing with PayPal in the future, I will. To be fair, I’ve written very positive reviews in the past when the service was excellent. Unfortunately, in my experience, that level of service is not consistent.

I have been waiting 30 days for a refund from PayPal. The merchant has only responded once in the last 3 weeks and that was to provide a fake tracking number, which I responded immediately to PayPal that it was fake. Now 2 more weeks have gone by and I still haven't been issued a refund. Now they are telling me because the merchant never had an issue they are giving them another 7 days to provide an answer. But when I asked how long they have dealt with this merchant they couldn't tell me so for all I know this is the first time they have ever dealt with them. All I keep getting is a runaround. If it were the other way around they would have pulled the money out of my account within days.

I had someone pay me for a consultation under good services which PayPal interpreted as me shipping them a package? But it was an online consultation. The client took advantage of that saying they didn't receive a package even though they were in Oman and I am in the United States. I had proof of the conversation where it was clear. There was no package being shipped yet. They refunded him all of his money. Because apparently, resolutions are decided by non humans. No matter what proof you show, you cannot speak to a human. In order to clear up the actual facts. Paypal is good for honest people though. Just double check before rendering services.

Now I am having my lawyer subpoena the records because I will not be complicit with fraud. I also gave them my police report case number for the fraud and it was dismissed. I was a loyal customer of PayPal for many years and bought many items from eBay. Last week, someone in Coral Springs, FL. went on the PayPal site and got my credit card information, and charged a computer at Best Buy online. I'm located in Michigan and have never been to Florida. Best Buy and PayPal allowed this to happen, not knowing who picked up the computer with a copy of a picture ID. I've since removed all my credit information from PayPal and closed the account.

I have been a customer of PayPal for over 12 years. I used their 4 pmt plan to purchase a product form eBay that was never received. I got from the USPS a receipt of the Tracking # provided by eBay and it does not match the actual purchase. Weight and size are not considered "mail piece" that fits in a mailbox. I reached out to PayPal and they sided with the seller with the only explanation that the seller has provided a "tracking number" even thought the tracking number does not match the purchase. I have been unable to get them to refund me the money as they have sided with the seller. Their money back guarantee means nothing.

I've been using PayPal for well over 10 years without any issues, until last month. My credit card was exposed in AT&T breach so I needed to get new cards. No problem. I removed old card from PayPal and put in new card like I HAVE done before, checked to make sure all information updated and closed PayPal. What a surprise when my next charge is withdrawn from my checking and not charged to my credit card. Sent a chat to PP. They said it's because I need to follow some convoluted 10 steps to make sure my subscriptions are set to charge to CC, even though my CC is set as my preferred payment! Two days later PP did the same thing! Now I've removed my banking info! If I wanted to use a debit card I would use one, and not hassle with PP to have a direct withdrawal from my checking account! Especially how everything is set up correctly as proved by the fact it work for years and the email from PP said it was set up correctly as well!

I ordered over $900 from china, it came and some items were broken and not as described. I opened a claim, the seller AGREED to a refund if I ship the items back. I paid $75 to ship them back, once they cleared customs they sat at the port unclaimed by the seller and because of THAT my claim was denied. Ridiculous! I did my part! Not only does PayPal seem to allow dishonest Sellers, but they make it next to impossible to recover your money. The customer service agents work out of call centers and have zero skills on how to be respectful or understanding. They read from a script and make threats that you are "being recorded" to ensure you don't elicit or express your upset. What a joke. We made a greenhouse purchase in March 2025 and by June 23 had received nothing. We contacted our credit card Capital one who immediately gave us a refund. PayPal sent one information that was false and refused to redact it. They said the purchase was under “friends and family“ and that eligible under consumer protection. I bought a large tank for $1200 using PayPal credit. I never received my item and the place I bought it from went out of business, due to selling tanks and people not receiving them. Purchased an item through PayPal. Was charged twice and received one order. Attempted to use the 30 day money back guarantee which I was told did not apply as a vendor had sent the item so too bad. Their vendor was an AI machine with a 4 response loop. PayPal forged documents after the fact to attempt to keep the funds from a second order no one can tell me what it was. No customer service and major stonewalling.

Even though Paypal notified me of fraudulent activities, I got the run around when I requested to close both accounts. I still gave Paypal a high rating because I previous had no problems using the service. Users should be careful connecting their credit or debit card and Paypal should make it a simple process to close an account.

The one star is for ease of paying. I haven't experienced any issues with vendors when paying with PayPal until recently. After purchasing a product, I noticed there was an additional charge to my PayPal account that was not on my receipt. I disputed the extra charge with PayPal and supplied them with my receipt. A few days later, PayPal notified me that my claim was denied. They said they contacted the vendor and the vendor said the extra charge is legitimate.
I called PayPal, and the call taker agreed it looked like fraud to him, so he forwarded me to a supervisor. The supervisor came on the phone but quickly hung up after learning the reason for my call. I waited 45 minutes for the supervisor and eventually hung up. I called the next day and was told a supervisor won't speak with me. Fortunately, the credit card company quickly recoginzed it as fraud and reimbursed me. Of course, I deleted my account and will never use PayPal again. They obviously protect the sellers.

Have been a customer for many years but just had my first dispute which the seller agreed not to contest. Paypal set a date of 30 days for resolution. But, I then learned I must also file a "claim" which adds 30 more days. Paypal customer support is 100% offshore and not close to being competent in English. It turns out, they don't have to comprehend English as they have a script they must follow. Even with documentation from the seller that they agree to a refund, the claim was denied. Then I had to file an appeal, also denied. The card issuer, Chase, approved and applied the refund on the spot. literally less than 2 minutes.

Had a terrible experience trying to close my PayPal account after receiving a scam email that appeared legitimate. PayPal gave me the runaround for weeks preventing me from closing my account. First they claimed to be investigating. Then they insisted I refund one cent to the scammer. Next they insisted they were refunding the one cent to me and I must put my bank information back in (after having removed it for my own safety). They only closed my account after I contacted the BBB. I took over a month to close my account and was extremely frustrating. I recommend removing your bank information before trying to close your account. Keeping yourself safe is the priority. And Reach out to BBB as soon as they give you trouble.

PayPal has changed over the years and will no longer protect consumers from fraud charges. Classmates.com fraudulently charged my PayPal account and PayPal ruled against me and allowed someone that’s been with them since 1999 to get ripped off by a scammer like Classmates. Classmates never replied to emails from me!

I ordered 2 NFL sets. I received fake product and not even the right teams. The shop offered me a refund of 25% of my purchase which I declined and Paypal said I needed to return them to the shop at my expense and blocked me from making from communicating with them anymore.

Been waiting at least 7 months for them to release 485.00. Been on the phone for hours at a time with no success. Even though they sent an email saying it could be released months ago they still won't release it. I wish I could give them 0 stars or less… Much less. Probably at least negative 5 stars.

PayPal has absolutely made my life miserable. My tablet was not charged one day and I used my husband's tablet to check my PayPal. Well, I screwed up and accidentally typed my password incorrectly by one letter and only one time and they locked my account from suspicious activity. Ok, no suspicious activity ever. I never overused my account or had money sent to it very often, but I did have a settlement I was getting ready to receive and I filed to have my settlement payments go to my PayPal because it was supposedly the easiest way to receive my payments.
Anyway, they requested so scan my driver's license front and back, which I did. My license is current, up to date, not expired. It also required I send in a selfie. I completed both requirements using their software as required and in a matter of a few days, they permanently locked my account and won't release the funds I have in my account until March 2026.
How can anyone prove who they are other than send in your state-issued ID and a photo of myself and still be denied the have my account. How can they hold MY money and make my life miserable. I'm taking care of my older brother, that is 63 and has Rectal cancer and is going through chemotherapy and radiation daily. I'm not working and we are barely getting by. I need MY money and now I can get my settlement money. They should be shut down for the way they treat their honest law abiding consumers. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about calling a lawyer and suing them for the stress, aggravation. Stay away if you can, they have the choice of telling you you're not who you are, even with the best proof in the world.

Paypal is stealing from me and my customer. My customer sent a payment to me, which I refunded. So I never recieved the $. They held the $ over 30 days. They haven't refunded the $ back to the customers account plus now they're trying charge me for the $200. They can talk to my attorney.

PayPal should not be allowed to continue to operate. Complaints need to be made to the FTC, Attorney General, Consumer Affairs and BBB. Maybe with enough complaints this company can cease to do business. I received a call claiming they were a Chase Bank representative, but what they were asking me to do seemed suspicious. I called Chase directly and was informed that the call was a scam even though they called from a number that was from a branch in NYC. I then also noticed a fraudulent charge on my PayPal account. I immediately disputed the charge and informed PayPal that the charge was fraudulent and not to allow the transaction to go through. Without even contacting me PayPal decided the charge was legit and released my funds. PayPal needs to be investigated and should have much more protection for its customers not make it easy for scammer.

Trying to get Competent Help from PayPal customer service has become nearly impossible. The people they have employed are in the **, **, etc. I have encountered people WHO CAN'T EVEN SPELL Correctly in English, and cannot Speak fluent English either. They don't know how the PayPal system works either, I know more about the PayPal system than most of the people I have spoke with in the Help center. It's become an utter Joke...
