I have very bad experience with PayPal. They terminate my account with no good reason and block my money for 180 days (Good period to make some profit from interest). I hate PayPal and their way to treat people.

When you cancel a transaction and refund the buyer, they will keep the $0.30 fee. This is totally not reasonable when a transaction is cancelled and consider an unsuccessful deal. I understand they miss time here but this is not a reason to charge. It is just like when you return an item at Walmart, they cannot keep you $0.30 because they "waste" time to deal with you. Most time is not the seller's fault since the cancellation is requested by the buyer. Even eBay agree this when you contact them. They just cannot control PayPal since PayPal didn't belong to them anymore. Why PayPal want to do this shamelessly because there is currently no substitution of them. Also their CS has extremely bad attitude. I promise you don't want to deal with them again once you talked to them. Guess what? If there's another company coming up, that's the time they are going to bankrupt. What a shameless and greedy company! Stay away from them people.

I purchased equipment online, from a person I know in USA. My account is directly linked to my bank account. I find out my guy has pending on payment. I contact PayPal. They say it's my bank, nope. Bank shows me money is gone and paid days ago. When I call PayPal back they say it's clearing center then say it's the vendor issue and they can't discuss it. I want to cancel and they say will take 15 to days for dispute resolution's process. We both want to cancel. What the hell? Obviously this is about sitting on people's money and getting interest on it... Never again. I'd rather send a certified draft two day delivery... Beware.

On Jan 23 2019, I sold something to a person named Francis ** for $250. It was my 1st time using PayPal for receiving money, I didnt know the person, so I called PayPal agents to confirm if the person sended me the money, so they told me he did, and would take up to 21 days because it was send as a gift. Underneath is the terms and conditions. On Feb 14, I called to check the status of the money, PayPal told me to wait for couple days. so I am like ok.
Couple days later, I gave them another call. They said they would dispute and try to get the money from that Francis ** within 24-72 business hours and would be inside my account, until today, the March 1st, I've still haven't see any money, so I called PayPal again. Spoke to the supervisor, she told me there's nothing they can do to get the money that I suppose to receive. Sadly, such a big company PayPal. I guess I would never use PayPal again. It was a mistake. This is the Terms and Conditions. "This is a PayPal Gift. The amount can take up to 21 days to reflect in your PayPal balance. This gift is non-refundable, the buyer won't be able to cancel this payment. PayPal has you covered."

PayPal is putting random holds on my transactions! I am a 20 year eBay seller with never a bad transaction. Now PayPal is putting random holds on my funds received for no apparent reasons. At first they tried telling me it was for the usual reasons (new seller, inactive account, or complaint), once I proved those were all invalid they went with "We can put a hold on funds whenever deemed necessary"). This is ruining my eBay business! I can't afford to keep shipping big items internationally out of my own pocket, then waiting 21 days for funds, FOR NO APPARENT REASON!! Or is the reason so they can make even more money off of our money. They have $300 of mine, they do this to, say, 100,000 people a month. That adds up to about $30,000,000 a month they are collecting interest on.
Now it is starting to make sense! What a pile of crap! And there is nothing we can do. eBay and PayPal have teamed together to squeeze every cent out of us as a solution to losing market share to Amazon and others. I think it's time for everyone to say ENOUGH ALREADY and start using Kijiji and other online marketplaces as much as possible. No more PayPal, let's start using all the other electronic banking options now available to us like email transfers. Or go back to the old cheques and money orders. We will all profit in the end, except for eBay and PayPal!!

Bottom line, they just don't read what you write to them. That's it. It's all computer generated. Ordered two pair of leggings, from China (yeah, I know). Received them both, but one was the wrong style. No response from seller. Opened dispute for $30. Through resolution center, seller finally answered, said to send photos. I obliged. Long story short... Paypal sided with the seller. Why, you ask? Because apparently the seller provided tracking information and it said it was delivered. WHAT? Of course it was delivered. I never said it wasn't. But that's what PayPal got out of my 5 emails to them. NEVER ONCE said it wasn't delivered. Only mentioned that I received a wrong item, and also the second pair tore as soon as my daugher put them on.
Trying to plead with PayPal is useless, but I FINALLY got through to them by writing in all caps, begging them to READ what I wrote. Ok, great...they re-opened my claim. But, now the seller wants me to return everything, at a cost of almost $20 to China from here. And...it will take almost 6 weeks (or that's what it took to get here). Sorry -- but according to PayPal, I should be covered if the seller sends me the wrong things. That's what they told me. Better yet, they are waiting for a response from me, but the only response is to ship the item back and provide tracking information.
Apparently, I'm not allowed to email them and explain that I won't send anything back to the seller for $20, especially when I'll only get a refund back of about $9.**. Just absolutely ridiculous. Finding a way to email them with what you want is excruciatingly painful, and they don't want you to call... If you do, nobody has ANY idea about anything. Even the "Supervisors". PayPal is rather a joke.

I signed up online and loaded $500 up with no problem and linked my debit card which was prepaid that they accepted. When it was time to purchase something online the transaction wouldn't go thru. When I called I got 4 different people that could barely speak English telling me that unless I had a bank account I couldn't spend or refund the money. They should've denied my prepaid card before I loaded up my money.
After getting the run-around with managers that had no answer, I finally loaded my girlfriend's account info to get my money back. Everything I planned for my son's birthday is ruined and if I wouldn't have tried a different route I would've never got my money back. They kept telling me try again in 4 hours. How can you accept my money but not give it back when there's a issue? Then they gave fake American names to prevent being tracked down but claimed they're stationed in the Philippines. Thank God I outsmarted them. They said I couldn't transfer the money to her. Even if you have a bank account, why would you deal with a company that 1) Has you deal with customer service that you can't understand or 2) refuses to give you your money back when there's a issue. Don't take the chance. No wonder their rating is so low... Lesson learned.

I'm a user in good standing for 10 yrs. Had a buyer on eBay claim a new item was defective. eBay recognized they were a fraudulent buyer, so they blocked them and refunded my $347. Then the buyer filed a claim with PayPal. I responded to the claim repeatedly through correct methods, but PayPal kept saying they never heard from me. They told the buyer to send the item back, so he sent a package of chalk to a business near me with the same city and state and gave PayPal the fake tracking number. They then took the $347 from me and gave it to him. Fast forward TWO months and over 15 hours of phone calls, emails and FB private messages. PayPal suspended the buyer weeks ago because they recognize he was fraudulent. I gave PayPal a Sheriff's Department Police Report proving the deception as they instructed me to do, but they STILL keep denying my claim and refuse to refund my money. I am at my wit's end.
I could go on for days about horrid customer service, the run-around, hours-long hold times, common scripts that get fed to me each time, glitches and disappearing info in my account, non-communication between customer service and the mysterious "Back Office", how I've been blocked from liking/commenting on PayPal Facebook after I asked them twice for help. I've never seen anything like it. They knowingly keep money that was stolen and have no internal communication among departments (so they say). Then they instruct PayPal Facebook to block anyone having issues so the general public is kept in the dark. Our local Sheriff's Office told me they have a terrible time with PayPal, even when they present court orders.

Sold sunglasses on eBay, stating no returns. Buyer message: Received sunglasses, loved it, but too tight, want to return. Buyer opens Ebay case; case ruled in my favor. Buyer opens Paypal case stating not authentic because Paypal accepts this as reason to return. Paypal ignores Ebay's correct denial and allows buyer to return; have purchase receipt but Paypal doesn't care.
Lessons learned: 1) Paypal doesn't care what eBay rules. 2) Paypal doesn't care that your eBay listing says no returns. 3) Evident Paypal will side with buyer regardless of circumstances and obvious buyer lies. 4) Conversation with their Helpless Center a waste of time. 5) Can't dispute case after they closed it even though they are remiss in telling me to send proof of authenticity. 6) Established user forum account immediately after conversation so I could post their poor handling and wasn't allowed to post on it (hmmm?). 7) They love holding onto your money and using it (always transfer money out and keep low/low balance. Because my bank found in my favor on a dispute against PayPal, PayPal is holding my account hostage as in they won't let me close it. It started with a transaction for an Uber ride. The total was $11.42 and PayPal should have used the $10 balance I had on my PayPal account before taking the remaining $1.42 from my bank. Instead they took the whole thing out of my bank account which caused my bank account to go negative. I filed a dispute with my bank and even attached a print out of the transaction showing that PayPal was supposed to use the balance on my PayPal account first. I tried working this out with PayPal first but all they did was keep making excuses, even when I provided evidence of what I was saying.
My bank found in my favor on the dispute and suddenly PayPal isn't letting me use my account anymore (which is OK because I don't want to use them) because they claim my transactions are suspicious. What are those transactions? A few transfers between my mom and me and a couple of Uber rides. PayPal is even refusing to let me close my account with them, which I want to do because I don't trust them!

It's a regular practice in our family to check the bank statement against our record of purchases to make sure that entries are correct. On this month's statement there were more than a half-dozen errors and all of them for eBay purchases via PayPal transactions. Each was an overcharge of a few cents. I called eBay and the customer service representative confirmed that the numbers showing on our bank statement did not match what shows in our purchase history. She transferred the call to PayPal; while attempting to make a report via their automated telephone queue, the automated system disconnected the call! So, we decided to take the matter directly to our bank.
Our bank was prompt to take care of the discrepancy by immediately refunding the difference to our account. The bank agent went on to say that they would not be seeking restitution from PayPal, but that the refund would be coming from the bank itself, because (to quote the agent) "it would cost us more to file a dispute!" My feeling is that perhaps PayPal is strategically taking unfair advantage of a typical bank's and typical customer's response to a few pennies in overcharges. Think about it. How many customers do a line-by-line audit of their bank statements every month? How many spend the extra time to try to reconcile a statement with a vendor charge that is only off by one or two cents? How many would take the time to report that to the bank? How many banks will go after vendors for just a few pennies in overcharges? I'll tell you...not enough!
So, if you use PayPal, by all means necessary, check your bank statements and go over them with the proverbial fine-tooth comb! If you're being overcharged and even if it's only a few pennies...report it! Report it to the company, to the bank, and even to the BBB and attorney general of your state. On one person's bank statement, a few pennies may not seem like so much. But multiply that by the hundreds of thousands or even millions of transactions handled by PayPal! Millions of transactions? That would certainly be more than chump change.

No matter how calm, collected and polite of a person you think you are - dealing with PayPal will show you every person has a breaking point. They outright lied to me, put me on hold for hours, anything they could to avoid honoring buyer protection. A quick call to my credit card solved everything, as PayPal is obligated to decide in the buyer's favor when challenged by a credit card. I strongly suggest not bothering with PayPal for your own sanity. I feel bad for the employees because I'm sure if they could help out customers, they would, but instead they have to read from a script and get yelled at by frustrated customers.

I paid for an order using PayPal. After weeks of waiting, I received an item which the seller described as ‘US Large’. I tried it on and it wouldn’t even fit me. I contacted the seller as per the advice of PayPal to resolve the problem. The seller informed me that they would give me a 20% refund for an item I cannot use and have already paid for. I told them that to be fair considering their side and the time and money I need to spend to return the item to a country they didn’t disclose when I made the purchase that I was willing to forgo the issue if they issued me a 50% refund for the item that was useless in the first place.
They said that the best they can offer was 30% OR return the item. I had the situation escalated and to cut the story short PayPal sent me an email stating that I’ll be given the 50% refund once the seller receives the item and that I would have to pay for its return! Which means I paid for an item that I need to return to the seller, pay for its return and lose 50% of the amount I paid with nothing to show for it all! I tried to give PayPal feedback and even posted my experience to the community only to find out that they didn’t post it due to ‘Being repetitive’! Being repetitive?
What does that mean? In conclusion, DO NOT USE PAYPAL! Since they do not get anything from you, they’ll side with the vendor that pays them. It’s your choice if you want to deal with them but I’ve learned my lesson in using their services. Never again! I would’ve given them a zero rating if the option was available. I hope my bad experience would help you make a better decision.

PayPal steals your money and holds it so they can invest it themselves. They know if they hold the money for 30 to 180 days then that's a lot of investing that they can do on their part. I made the mistake by using them once and as soon as they let my money off of hold I would not be using them again. Please if you are thinking about using PayPal, think again. They hold your money for no reason at all and no other platform on this planet does that. I will be going through my bank for now on for all of my transactions for my business. PayPal will not be around long with these practices of holding money and stealing from their customers. We live in a fast-paced world and we run fast pace businesses and PayPal doesn't seem to understand that. They think they can hold thousands of dollars and we won't miss it. What planet do they live on?
More more people are getting away from PayPal and I personally have persuaded about 10 people myself to not use them anymore and to send money through other methods. Hopefully this message will lose them more business because I'm telling you, they are awful. And as I read all the other stories and reviews on this website I am convinced that it is done intentional on their part. Every company is in business to make money any way they can and if holding our money and collecting interest off of it is their claim to fame, then have mercy on their souls. Don't use PayPal if you want your money and your bank the way regular humans do business. Only use PayPal if you have 6 months to let them invest your money and give you all these bogus excuses on why it's on hold. Don't use PayPal. I'm begging you. They steal from you. Don't use PayPal. Don't use PayPal. Don't use PayPal.

I purchased an item on a webpage with an image that showed the product. What was shipped was clearly the wrong item. Seller would not respond to emails asking for correct item or refund. I initiated a claim with the PayPal resolution center. After 2 weeks, Paypal communicated that seller would refund my purchase AFTER I ship the item with tracking to BRAZIL at MY expense.
When I called the resolution center and explained that such a return shipping cannot be obtained for less than $100 and that this made no sense to do since the item cost me a total of $79 they said they would try to get the seller to provide a US address to return or a pre-paid shipping label but said they may say no in which case my only remedy was a credit card payment refusal. I don't know if they even contacted the seller but the next day my case was closed with a statement that it was decided in favor of the seller. Bottom line, PayPal allows sellers to propose nonsense resolutions that they know full well only as stupid buyer would do (pay > $100 to get $79 back). I ordered some items Nov 26, 2018 and used PayPal. The items showed in stock and will ship within 24 hours guaranteed. They were to be Christmas presents. I received an email a couple of days later stating that my items would ship in 2 to 3 weeks. I replied to the email stating that if it were to be more than 2 weeks I wanted to cancel the order. The only reply I received was a generic response stating "Thank you for your patience". Every 3 to 4 days I would send an email asking for an update and all I got back was the same generic response. No actual person ever replied.
After 3 weeks of no shipment I contacted the seller again and cancelled the order and requested a full refund. That was Dec 18, 2018. I never received a refund so I opened a dispute with PayPal on Jan 3, 2019. All I got back from them is that they would make a decision by Feb 7, 2019. They waited and waited until after the items were shipped to me (well after the order was cancelled) on Jan 30, 2019. That is when PayPal sent me an email stating that my claim was being denied because the items were shipped. The items should never had been shipped. The dispute was for a refund not to force the seller to ship the items. I contacted PayPal by phone then and explained the case to a dispute clerk. She stated that I was correct and that I should have received the refund and that there was an appeal process that she could file.
I receive another email from PayPal about 2 hours later stating that my case was still being denied. Not really enough time to review the facts. So it was up to me to go to the post office and return the items at my expense and hope for a refund. If that does not happen I will need to file a dispute with my credit card service and go through the whole process again. How could I give a Christmas present to people the first of Feb when they were guaranteed to be shipped no later than Nov 27. It is quite clear that PayPal only supports its high volume high dollar sellers and could care less about the small individual person like me. As I researched my account I saw where multiple vendors were listed as being able to automatically charge my account without my knowledge. Check your account - you have to click the little cogwheel in the top right, then select the "payments" tab to see the automatic payments, then click "manage automatic payments". Here you will find both active and inactive selections.
Everyone should log on to their PayPal account and see who is authorized to make automatic charges to your account. I had 4 different vendors - I changed all to inactive except for eBay. We will see if this works? Why do they record the "inactive" ones? Shouldn't they just be deleted? This concerns me. Anyway I filed a claim with PayPal to recover these unapproved charges. The claim was almost immediately denied stating it was set up on "automatic" payments. I did not do this! And I have never made a payment from my bank account directly in the 15 years I have used Paypal. This is the second time an unauthorized charge has been placed against my account in less than 6 months. In both cases, PayPal denied the claim. The first one was for $300!
I challenged the denial only to be denied again citing the same reason. So where is the protection for the consumer? PayPal has a monopoly on Ebay payments so you don't have any other valid choices when using eBay. Oh yeah - they happen to be owned by Ebay. Imagine that! Their security is lax, their customer service sucks and they have flip flopped from the beginning and now only watch out for the sellers - not the buyers. And if someone charges your account without your consent - well you are going to pay pal! And who has the time, money or resources to fight them? No single average person has a chance. So avoid them if you can - it is the only way we can fight to help change their behavior. Boy I would hate to have a job where my role was screwing people out of their money.
Oh and every time you file a claim for unauthorized use, you will get an automated phone call asking if the charge is valid. Every time, I selected option 1 stating it was not valid and was told I could hang up then. Most times I got another call repeating this and did the same thing. Then you have to sign on and they make you change your password and go through multiple steps. Then you have to re-synch with Ebay. Why - the unauthorized charge wasn't someone stealing the password, it was all within "their" system. So be ready for the punishment of trying to resolve your problem. There are reasons for the laws against monopolies and this just reconfirms why. Beware - I warned you! You are going to "pay pal"!

It took me 4 unsuccessful calls just to find out that my account was locked because of some $8 charge from 4 years ago. They want me to give a credit card to pay for this, and expect me to be comfortable giving out new card info when the old card information was used fraudulently because of them. Worst scam and pain in my ** ever. Every time a transaction comes through they wanna put a hold on your account. They won't give me my money that was refunded to me by another company. What gives them the right to hold my money that has nothing to do with the account? They ask for all this info to unlock my account then come back and say it's not the right info when it's exactly what they asked for. Instead they won't let me access anything on my account and says that my account is being reviewed and I can access it in 180 days after the review. That money wasn't charged through PayPal and it was accidentally refunded onto that card because I didn't realize the card that my parts supplier had on file. They locked my account before because I had transactions from different IP addresses. How are you suppose to use a card on the same IP address every time when the whole reason for doing it is so you can be mobile?
Good luck using these guys, you'll never make any money because they will lock your account and cause your bank account to be overdrawn, then you'll get late fees, and next thing you know you in debt up to your eyeballs and you have to close down your company. Do they give a **? Nope, but they will be happy that they still have all your money that you can't access!

I got the name backwards and sent it to the wrong person and then as he needed funds badly I resend it 3 minutes later correctly, not knowing how to cancel it I told them it was an unauthorised purchase to stop it going through, I work 2 jobs and was very tired, plain and simple. It was a mistake. They sent me an answer saying it was not unauthorized so I phone and spoke with them to tell them what happened that I sent money to the wrong person was tired and could not find any cancellation anywhere to make that choice. However they then said they would reopen the case, they never did so I called back. They outright lied and never did anything. I have since then contacted my credit card and they are sorting it out, what a nightmare. They could plainly see I sent money 2 minutes later to the correct person but did not care. I agree, mentioned that there was a problem with the wording and granted me the case.

Their customer service and a manager told me to drive to the next town over and buy a $200 card in order to unlock my account. Sounds like a scam all on its own. I decided to just block their email address so I would stop receiving their emails; pestering me to reset my account. They won’t even shut down my account after pleading and repeated requests. I used it to pay for a language class, but when the class was canceled, the teacher attempted to return it to me. Unfortunately, I could not access the funds for some bizarre reason. We called customer service and they were very friendly, but provided us with no useful information. What ensued was a stressful, week-long hassle for both parties (the teacher and myself). Finally, I got the money back, but not without a price! For using their service, and for sending the money back and forth (which was what the customer service told us to do!), I am now approximately $14 short. It's not a large sum, but I paid it for no reason. Overall, my experience was confusing, frustrating, and ended with me losing money! Not fun.

PayPal contacted the seller and the seller offered to refund 50% of the purchase cost. I explained to the seller that I could not use the items because they were not what they advertised! They told me it would be in MY best interest to settle because "it's costly to ship this back". I explained to the Seller that, since the error is on their part, that the items would be shipped at their cost not mine.
PayPal sent me a notice saying, "Dispute settled in YOUR favor. Send the items back to CHINA!" I called and explained to the rep in the Philippines that it would cost more to ship it back than item's worth. PayPal suggested I send additional information to them. I spent several HOURS attempting to email them pictures of the ACTUAL products as well as the link to the page of how the product was advertised. Kept getting an error message from PayPal.
Called again and again. Got someone in the Philippines that said their policy does not cover shipping and that I have to follow the instructions of the seller!!! LASTLY "Ash" said that the original proposal for a 50% refund cannot be honored! What is PayPal doing? They outsource jobs overseas to people that cannot help. They explained what this was and that once I did this and they verified through iTunes gift cards that I paid then my account will be credited in full instantly. This did not happen and they demanded more of my own money to move the package again (they still have not instantly reimbursed me for anything like was said in the emails but my buyer has been reimbursed with MY money now).
I repeatedly explain to PayPal through these emails why I am upset and my issue but the responses I get are "get the money, send the cards, we will block your account, you will just have to agree", and other offensive emails that are not answering my questions but clearly shows the people emailing me are not caring about helping a customer and is responding in an extremely rude manner. I asked to speak to a Supervisor or superior and that did not happen. PayPal is still stealing from me and still has not reimbursed me for anything.
My problem is that I did not agree to any of this payment with gift cards but they assumed that a customer could front money or that I had this money available to do this with these gift cards however, I never agreed to the gift cards and now they are still denying me MY money, not getting me my phone back, and gave MY money back to my customer already. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from a company and will never use or recommend PayPal to anyone again. I am still dealing with this issue with PayPal and do not have the money to front like PayPal assumed I did therefore, because of PayPal my phone that I sold is gone, I was never paid for the phone or any extra that I paid for shipping the phone, and PayPal is denying me MY money as we speak.

And then I have also been charged a 2.9% fee plus 30 cents for my first sale! PayPal is making money either way, no matter what kind of transaction!! If this is what using PayPal is like, I am going to stop using it and go back to only using Zelle, which is TOTALLY FREE. Finally, I was informed by a buyer (my first, and probably my last, on PayPal) that my PayPal.Me identity is difficult to read, as it ends in Al (upper case a, lower case l), but can be mistaken for AI (upper case a, upper case i), which pulls up the account of a Muslim in Texas! So, I tried the telephone support line, and waited over 30 minutes until someone finally picked up. I told him that I was referring to my PayPal.Me identity, not my name. Then he told me that this identity cannot be edited, despite my careful explanation of the problem. And after 3 hours on the phone while different codes were being sent that I had to call and "verify", the person was remotely controlling my computer to make "bogus" purchases that he reassured me would be refunded. I was to believe he has just seeing if the refund transaction through PayPal was working correctly... Then he wanted me to go to CVS and purchase a Google Card for $500, because I was only 60% verified.
I didn't want to do that. So he had me hook up my cell phone to the computer and send a selfie with two code numbers for the bogus transactions being held up to my face for "verification". He was going to call me back on Saturday at 10:00 but texted me on my cell phone that it would be Sunday at 5:30 to finish the problem. When he didn't call by 6:00 I texted him and he set up 10:00 on Monday. (He said his brother had gotten in a car accident and that he was at the hospital).
He never called back on Monday so I called the first Customer Service number for PayPal that is on Google 1-855-439-4999 and got another foreign accent guy telling me that the purchase had been made from Nigeria and that I could get a $100 Google Card from CVS and by reading the numbers on the back it would be credited back to my credit card and he was willing to wait on the phone while I drove to CVS. That is CRAZY!!! All this to get my 44.67 refund??? Just to get some information about the status of my refund?!!
There is no way to talk to PayPal that I know of and I don't know if I will ever receive my refund, They have not answered any of my email questions so I sit and wait to see what is next. I will never buy anything that requires payment through PayPal if I can avoid it after all this. Had to cancel my credit card and told them the whole insane story. Then a claim with PayPal which was denied! Then again with eBay, again denied. After spending many hours with both eBay and PayPal I get notice that he filed with his bank. According to PayPal at that time they would dispute the request, and I was not to worry as I was covered under seller protection. I filed a police report, turned in serial number to camera manufacturer as stolen, and tried to file police report in the city buyer was located. Police department would not take report as it was a different state and they required you meet with officer to file report.
Now during all this I made no less than 25 calls to PayPal asking questions and trying to find out the right thing to do. Each call I was told “do not worry you are protected by our Seller Protection policy”. Only to find out I was not. PayPal never told me anything I should go for the dispute, in fact I was told several times that they did not know what the chargeback request from the bank was, or what was to happen next. I sent photos and an affidavit showing the packaging and shipping of camera. Went to the trouble of getting verifiable proof of address and name match. Through all of this PayPal never told me what I could or should do, or that they had requested for item to be returned, but insisted that I was protected. The only thing I was told was PayPal was disputing with the bank on the chargeback, and again not to worry. I was protected by Seller Protection.
Now the final blow! I received notice that 925.00 was taken from my funds, and I was not protected by Seller Protection! In fact no one ever asked the buyer to return item (According to eBay he refused one time, and second time told eBay post office had box and camera). And as for PayPal disputing this chargeback they told bank he signed for package and it was delivered! Nothing about police report or other evidence I worked on. And to top it off bank claimed “not as described” and PayPal does nothing to protect me or request a better investigation. Now later as of this month I find out PayPal legal department has not gotten back with me after two letters ‘certified’ and I find he also turned it and collected from USPS a claim all because he used a charge card and PayPal has no power to do anything about it... To the rest of the world that means the consignee has to pick up the cargo at the warehouse in Australia. PayPal doesn't have a clue and since it was not shipped with UPS/FedEx or any of those types of services they have refunded the client's payment. He opted to abandon his cargo as it was hit with customs inspection charges at destination.
We have sent them proof the cargo is in the warehouse. Copies of bills of ladings, release forms from customs, even emails from the client where he advises he would prefer to pick up the cargo at the warehouse rather than have our agent deliver the cargo to him. As soon as he realized his error, I refunded the money so that would cancel his debt to PayPal.
Four (4) days later, PayPal again hit his bank for the money they had ALREADY been reimbursed. They claim it is an "automated process" that they "just can't stop" once it has started. I believe I would call that theft or fraud, to keep hitting a bank account for unauthorized charges. My son now is worried they will hit his account again after his next disability payment - taking the $1000 that he did not ASK for a "loan" on - as well as a total of 3 Non-Sufficient Funds charges from his bank, taking $75 he really doesn't have to spare. I have never dealt with a company who absolutely refuses to admit their practices may be flawed or who will not even TRY to stop an "automated process" that is running in error. I bank with Point Bank and they were informed of these charges. These charges were made, seemingly under the name Paypal. I called Paypal immediately following Cyber Monday and explained that I had noticed what looked like double charges or unauthorized charges on my account. They explained to me that I was going to be reimbursed and that these charges were going to “drop”.
A very small number of these charges were put refunded and put back into my account, not all of them and then new charges started appearing. I've contacted Paypal multiple times and eventually, via Facebook one of their representatives told me to pursue my bank for these charges because they couldn't help me. I then contacted my bank. I printed and handed them the complete transaction list with all the unauthorized transactions marked out, a copy of all my Paypal activity page (to compare with the authorize transactions), a copy of my eBay activity and purchased Items page (for comparison), a cover letter explaining these charges. They kept all these documents for three days before calling me back to let me know that it was too much paperwork and that they couldn’t get it all done in time.
I took the documents back and for the next four days I worked on completing out 114 dispute files and turned them in with my cover letter, another more recently copies of my Paypal Activity page, updated eBay Purchased list, my police report information, a copy of the transcript of my communication with Paypal (in which they tell me to pursue this through my bank) as well as separate information and files about two other charges that were not Paypal related that I was disputing. and turned them in.
After 13 days I contacted Point Bank today and was told that my dispute was declined because the investigator had contacted Paypal and was told that they have been working with me on resolving this and that I would be refunded through Paypal directly. The Point Bank representative also told me that I should receive a letter in the mail explaining that. When I decided to bank with Point Bank, I was informed that I would be protected against fraudulent charges and it’s apparent now that they will not be helping me with this process. Turns out this was not correct. No one is helping and you believe it, for over $4,000, I will be going to a lawyer this week.

I brought an item from Hollywood Wig. Was supposed to be custom made... When received was nothing like the picture. I sent messages to company. They wanted me to pay for postage to send item back to them. They refused to send me a shipping label so that it could be tracked. I got in touch with PayPal. Did everything they needed me to do. Sent pic of pic and took pic of wig... Hollywood Wig had sent me the one I ordered was straight. The one they sent was wavy... Not as shown on pic. PayPal did a dispute for me which they denied saying it was because I didn't like the product.
After it was denied I sent more pic and conversation I had with Hollywood Wig where I only used the words not as shown on the picture... This has showed me I'm better off just making a charged and having my cc company taken care of it for me. I don't trust them after this incident. Sorry but no one in the company really seemed to care about me. It was for the seller not the buyer.

Finally, the merchant shows tracking information which mistakenly shows the item delivered. It was delivered apparently - SOMEWHERE ELSE! I never received the item, and PayPal did NOTHING to help to locate the item or encourage the seller to track it down. Don't be fooled that PayPal helps guard your online purchase experience. They are difficult to contact, slow to respond, and allow no recourse with a failed shipment.

I’m on hold with PayPal now for over an hour. Typical... In April 2018 I paid by my credit card for furniture. It arrived damaged so I challenged the charge with MY credit card. As soon as the furniture issue was fixed by the merchant, I called my credit card company and lifted the dispute and the amount was charged to my credit card. PayPal told the merchant that it would take 90 days to resolve the dispute after I resolved the dispute by lifting the hold with my credit card company.
PayPal claims they paid my credit card company the $514 but my credit card company stated PayPal never paid them and of course my statements reflect just that. PayPal now claims after 10 MONTHS of total lies that they require a subpoena in order to prove they paid the credit card company. SO IT IS OFF TO COURT TO FORCE THEM TO PAY ME. DO NOT USE PAYPAL.

I've been burned by PayPal so many times now that I've finally called it quits. The first time they screwed something up I gave them a pass. I sure wasn't happy but hey stuff happen. Now onto my 5th and final time I'm done with PayPal. Their customer service is for the most part foreign based which only aggravates you more when you struggle to hear what's being said on the other side of the phone. They pass you around to support rep, claims officer, and 50 other titles until you're not even sure who you're talking to anymore. Then they ASSURE you that everything will be solved and end the conversation. Well no it's not solved. Never is.
I'm not sure how it's possible but they've gotten worse since they split with eBay and became their own company. They have a cleaner look but everything underneath the facade is awful. I really don't have one good thing to say about PayPal. Reading through their own forums it seems like PayPal disputes are almost always misused by scammers looking to get a free item or hold funds in limbo long enough where they can just leave the transaction.
They consider themselves an "online bank" - a bank that charges you for making money per transaction, holds your funds without reason seemingly, has little to no customer service, no physical locations, and deals daily with foreign scammers. You'd have to be INSANE to keep any more than $20 in a PayPal account. Long story short: don't use PayPal. Don't use them for banking. Don't trust their customer service. Don't expect to use your money. Use a real bank. Or if you're a developer like I am and are looking for payment gateways solutions use Stripe.

PayPal hiding behind the excuse of "chargebacks" is holding 2k of my money. No one is complaining. Yet, PayPal is refusing to release the funds. The company originally said that it would hold my funds until 12/13/18. However, as I thought it would, one day before the 13th, this company froze my account and said it would be 180 before I could get my money. As an excuse for the hold, this awful company said it was holding the funds in case there are possible chargebacks. At first, the company lied and said there was an unauthorized use of a buyer's credit card and somehow tried to make me feel as if I was responsible for whoever may have used the buyer's credit card - if she was telling the truth. Checking with a state regulatory office, the authorities are aware of the awful service PayPal gives and the shenanigans that it uses to hold and keep your money. AVOID PayPal like the plague that it is.

I have been on the phone with PayPal about seven times in the last month. I am trying to get a refund for a shipment that is lost in the mail. I know it seems like every time I call PayPal when they tell me I should have my refund within 10 days they keep asking me for the tracking number again. I keep giving them the tracking number and they keep telling me the same thing. I have to wait another ten days. It is always the same thing with them and they are not trying to help me and they told me if the seller that I am returning the item to does not get their item back that I do not get my money back.
I even provided pictures of the tracking label and it clearly shows that I do not have it from the tracking number that it has been shipped out 34 days ago and nobody can find it so they told me I will not get a refund if they don't get their product it is first class priority mail through USPS and it is fully insured. Now the company that it is going back to is going to get their money from the insurance. Maybe they did get it in the tracking number. Just got messed up like it always does when I order something from eBay so maybe they're going to get their product and they're going to get their insurance money and they already got my money so they can resell the product. They have my money and they get the insurance money. Seems like a scam to me and anytime I ask to speak with somebody else from PayPal they tell me they are the person to speak to and they will not transfer me to a superior. I call that stealing money from consumers.

KEEP CLOSE TABS ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!! I have multiple online merchants that are set up with PayPal Credit as the primary funding source. Imagine my surprise when on 1/22/2019 I all of a sudden got a notice from my bank that I was $500+ in the negative! Note, this is an account I use exclusively for bills...do not keep extra funds in there.
When I logged into my bank account to look, there were a series of charges from PayPal...$10, $20, $25 - each with a $30 fee for insufficient funds! I've been with PayPal since 2002, PayPal credit since 2013, so I didn't panic right away. I called them. 1st call - on hold over an HOUR, hung up. 2nd call - figured out if you get snarky with the automated routing system, (kept answering NO to every question) it will route you to a person with minimal hold time... Result was that the rep would send me a letter that I could take to my bank to try to get the fees reversed.
3rd call - Different rep, told me that PayPal Credit must have refused the charges. 4th call - to PayPal Credit who did NOT refuse charges, issue is with PayPal. I already had the letter coming, so went with that for the day. (Did remove bank accounts as backup funding.) 5th call - because that letter did not arrive in my inbox...spoke to a rep, then her supervisor who gave some crock and bull story about how they couldn't provide a bank letter because they couldn't tell the funding source or when it had been set...even though I can see that charges were made to PayPal credit...and then they flipped on a January 19th to all come from my checking account.
Supervisor transferred me to her manager - awful connection... She took my name and said she'd call me right back. SURPRISE!! No call back. I have been using them as my primary online purchase source for YEARS. That arrangement ends TODAY. As big a pain in the neck as it will be, I will be removing them as my funding source from ALL online vendors.

I called PayPal today to see why a transfer to my bank was still on hold. I was told that all transactions were subject to review, yet every transaction I had made was placed on the maximum hold time for review. When I asked if there was a method for instant, free transfers, I was told "They would respond within 24-72hrs via email with an answer" which seemed a bit much.
Feeling like there was nothing else for me to do I ended the chat and looked back at my account, which is when I found out I was getting hit with transaction fees ranging from 2.9% to 3% when I had specifically chosen the account and money request options so I wouldn't get charged...or so I thought. Upon calling back again (now the third time today, after getting immediately hung up on when receiving a call-back), I was told by the agent that all I had to do was have the person transferring the funds choose a different option and it would have been instant (instead of 72hr hold) and free (as opposed to the ~3% fee). I asked if there was a way for me to get my money back, as this was the option we had wanted to use, and was told "There's no way for us to get your money back."
Not only was there no notification that there would be transaction fees when setting up my account, but there was no notification for the person making the transfer either. In addition, I'm given the runaround from someone who simply didn't have the answer to my question (and I guess couldn't go ask someone, as they said it would take up to 72hrs to email me a response), can't get back a decent chunk of money that fell prey to unexpected transaction fees, but I also can't cancel the current transaction that I had originally called about to save myself from more transaction fees. I can't even withdraw the rest of my funds without getting hit with more fees, all because of someone clicking one button instead of another.
When there are so many companies out there making it easy to transfer money, this is nuts. It's obvious their customer support doesn't have any actual answers or power, and the fact that I can't get almost $30 in transaction fees refunded is so frustrating. I wouldn't be upset if there had been some kind of warning, but I did everything I could to try and set up a transaction free account to no avail. PayPal made it very clear that they don't care about me as a customer, and I won't be using them again.

First of all, their "Resolution Center" is hard to find. It is not on your account page. You have to look for it. Once you file dispute, it takes long time for them to get back. In my case, I disputed the merchant because I ordered Christmas gift-to-be dress on Nov. 21 and merchant email clearly indicates it will be delivered by 4 weeks. I emailed to merchant a few times about shipping status on 4 weeks mark and never received response. So I filed the dispute with PayPal with all details. After the long wait, about 2 months till get their decision, my claim was denied. Their reasoning is that they responded with tracking # of item and the item was delivered. Yes. I got the item on 1/22!! 4 weeks later than promised delivery timing!
Merchant only provided the shipping information because Paypal contacted them about dispute. I cannot believe even that is acceptable in normal course of business. Paypal does not stand behind the consumer. They just want merchant to use and get fees from them. I am glad that I have linked payment to credit card because my credit company credited me after filing dispute instantly. I will avoid using PayPal at all cost because you will never get your money back if you didn't receive service or item as promised when merchant say "we did" after 1 month later.

I contacted PayPal who advised it was because my email wasn’t registered - first lie. All of a sudden the money appeared back in my account though it was on hold. I called back and was advised to release the money the tracking information needed to be updated - 2nd lie. The buyer had received the item 5 days prior.
I uploaded the information and my money was still not available. Then PayPal advised me it was eBay’s fault and they had a hold on the money and needed to confirm the item had been delivered. I contacted eBay. They sent me in writing confirmation that this was not true and the funds were not being held by eBay. I complained on Facebook to get my funds returned. PayPal deleted my comments and blocked me. I sent through all the proof they requested to prove the buyer had the item and it had been safely delivered and there was no dispute.

I received two emails wanting to know where my tracking info was... duh!
After about a week and four hours waiting on hold, several days with some things being disconnected when they said they were transferring me to a specialist. Now they say since they haven’t received a prepaid label from the seller I have to pay up front to return and the deadline is the same (which is tomorrow), and I happen to be out of town now! But good news! I can then open an appeal on my claim and also file a claim with my bank! Wow am I excited about that! Let’s do this all over again! Forget it! I’m eating the $70, which I fear was their intent from the start as their idea of Customer Support is a purse with holes!

Be aware of the fine print and entire details outlined in PayPal’s user agreement. The majority of us don't read all that stuff and people who put it together know that. We assume everything is going to be okay and trust that things will be fair and not against our best interest. (Using PayPal is not suppose to be like a contested divorce where there's fighting tooth and nail for every little thing.) Something that Sellers need to be aware of, which the majority of sellers DO NOT KNOW OR ACTUALLY REALIZE, is that under the PayPal user agreement, specifically relating to the "buyer guarantee," is that anything you sell, which is paid for through PayPal, is not final until SIX (6) MONTHS after payment made. Yes, that's right, sales are not actually final for six months!
A buyer, anytime before the six months has expired, can file a claim with PayPal requesting the money refunded and PayPal normally always takes the word of the buyer and forces refund. What's sad and discouraging about this is the buyer doesn't have to prove anything wrong. Buyer needs only claim that the item received by them was "significantly not as described." They can claim something missing, something broken, something not working right to meet this standard. They don’t have to show anything, demonstrate anything or prove anything. Just make the claim. Whether true or not. They can use the item, abuse the item, break the item, lose something with the item, no longer want to use the item, and have their money refunded by simply making the claim, even if it isn't true.
They can even give the item to someone else wherever that other person may be and that person can use, abuse, lose, damage. The buyer can actually claim, in that circumstance, that "they were told" something's missing, item doesn't work right, etc. In that case Buyer doesn't even have to prove that's what was actually told to buyer. All buyer needs to do is claim that's what was allegedly told. The irony of this is in the fact that the buyer guarantee and standard for a claim doesn't have to come from buyer’s own personal knowledge from what buyer observed or knows when BUYER RECEIVED THE ITEM. It can be based solely on an alleged 3rd party. eBay has a 30 day time limit to allow buyers to make a claim.
Even if eBay denies the claim buyer still has PayPal’s six (6) month allowance to make a claim through them. This whole thing is WRONG and especially more so when you realize that PayPal nearly always sides with the buyer, even in the circumstances described. PayPal purports to allow seller the opportunity to respond, (and thereby falsely misleads sellers into thinking they have a shot at showing refund not appropriate), their position in siding with buyers under these circumstances dispels any thought of fairness or seller protection. PayPal even purports to offer an appeal process to sellers, (in a laughingly false face of demonstrating fairness), in these cases but won’t provide seller the information needed in order to meet PayPal standards for appeal.
They don't give a reason for their decision, basis for decision or anything. Their decision ultimately merely states, after reviewing "we have decided the best course" is to refund and they will take the money from your account to do so. PayPal’s process is a joke and fails to give sellers the consideration due. PayPal has chosen to deliberately disregard sellers and principles of fairness not only in their 6 month allowance but their overall approach and standards in these kind of circumstances.
The facts here are exactly what happened to me, as a seller, and what I went through with PayPal. Sellers need to voice their opinions to PayPal to change this six month rule and establish real guidelines eliminating one-sided approaches to these types of cases that give sellers, even if not equal, at least a fair shot that actually demonstrates, instead of pretending, they care about seller interests.

Time dragged on and Paypal kept saying they were waiting for the company to respond. Nearly four weeks after the package was due a box wrapped in a black garbage liner arrived at my door. The items, from the company, were in opened boxes with parts missing. Simultaneously an email arrive from Paypal saying they were denying the claim as the items had arrive (four weeks late!). I have used Paypal since it began. I have always felt comfortable using them because each time I have had a problem it was quickly resolved. I recently purchased an item off the internet and not doing research first I realized too late that the company has a horrible reputation. The first thing that happened was the company double charged me for the items and that money I was able to get back. The order was placed on Nov 30, 2018 with guaranteed Christmas delivery.
When I never got the items I placed a complaint with PayPal and was told it would be resolved by Jan 4th. On Jan 4th I called and was told to watch my email for a refund. Today Jan 11th Paypal is still waiting for the company to respond? Why would they even do business with a company like this. I have read so many people who have complained and PayPal just isn't standing up for them. I intend to close my PayPal account after this. I never thought I would say that but the fact I have waited so long for a refund and the quality of the merchants they are now dealing with makes me too uncomfortable to use them any longer. :(

I placed an order for 3 items in November through Paypal to White House Black Market. 2 items were the same, but different sizes (which apparently PayPal can’t wrap their mind around). For the order, PayPal took 54.28 Nov 23, 54.28 Nov 24, and 42.66 Nov 24 off my American Express. On Dec 14 I returned 2 of the items from the order to White House Black Market (54.28 and 42.66) which was credited back to my American Express. THEN, on January 2, I returned the 3rd item for 54.28 to White House Black Market but Paypal only credited me 11.62. I have credit card statements showing each of these transactions.
I have been on the phone with White House Black Market who has assured me and double checked that they provided a refund of 54.28 Jan 2. I have been on the phone with PayPal 3 times and they keep telling me I was credited 54.28 back in December. Which I was, but it was a DIFFERENT item. I understand that 2 items of the same value returned at different times may be confusing, but it’s very simple. ALL 3 items were returned. PayPal took a total of 151.22 (54.28, 42.66, and 54.28) off my American Express and Paypal only returned me 108.56 (54.28, 42.66, and 11.62). BEWARE of PayPal.

This is where I contacted PayPal customer service for the first time and it is TERRIBLE. After fighting with a automated voice for 30 minutes you get through to a live agent, only to wait another 45 minutes. I asked them why I was in the negative, they claimed the buyer "did not authorize this charge." I asked how that is possible considering they purchased it, I sent items, and they left positive feedback. They asked I open a case, and I did. MULTIPLE CASES.
Every single case (5 of them), they closed them down every time with no explanation. I called at least 20 more times throughout the month. Finally someone told me that they are siding with the buyer, and I have to pay the balance. My account was sent to collections, I refuse to pay it and I let them know that. BEWARE of this company! I’ve only used PayPal for family and friends receiving and sending money. My uncle sent me money 5 days ago. I have no limitations on my account and have never made a transaction without a PayPal rep assisting me. All I want to do is transfer the money to my bank account. It kept giving an error message so the rep had me retrying different ways. Well that causes a security issue because of too many “failed attempts”. I was told I had to wait 24 hours and to call in again and they’d verify me again at that time and the transfer would then work. Well this same ridiculous process has happened now for 5 straight days. Every day a rep saying sorry and now I have to wait ANOTHER 24 hours! Well I’m SICK AND TIRED of this cycle! They screw it up! Don’t fix and then say, "Sorry you’ll have to wait again. There’s nothing we can do!!" I’m so frustrated!! I needed this money on Monday and still no closer to getting and it’s now Thursday.
To make matters worse I Googled who to file a complaint within PayPal and a PayPal 1-800 customer support number came up and I called. I explained and this person said he was in tech support and the issue with my account was the security of the device I was using to make transfer. That he needed to wipe it clean and then transfer funds. That if I downloaded a program for remote device he could fix. Well thank God I didn’t have a computer at the time to do. He said he’d call me back at 8 am and we’d have it fixed within 30 mins and I’d have my funds. My son thought the process was odd since the remote # was giving this man access to my computer and PayPal. He had me thinking so I looked up the number I originally contacted him at and it says it’s a robot number. I called and it’s a no working number. WTH!!!???
I’m lost!! I can’t go through this same process again today. How do I get my money?? How do I get PayPal to fix something they say isn’t broken!! They’re holding my money hostage. I NEED HELP! ASAP! I have over $3000 in there. I need to save my house! It won’t let me send back to my uncle. It won’t let me transfer. It won’t let me send to anyone else and they have no reason as to why!! IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT USING PAYPAL DON'T DO IT. PLEASE. WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T DO IT. Paypal is a cancer upon society and they need to shut their website down for good ASAP and take their demon ** back to the deepest darkest circle of hell from which they came. Never in my life have I dealt a company who's more concerned about money than these demons are. And I literally mean that, they'll side with whoever or whatever keeps making them money. If siding with a scammer over an honest seller earns them money they'll do it in a heartbeat. TWICE NOW Paypal has sided with a scammer over me.
First time it's happened: Person bought an item from me when I was selling on eBay (this was months ago around last August. I no longer sell on eBay). They got the item within 3 days, were happy and even left positive feedback, well a few days ago I get an email from Paypal. They informed me that this person opened a case against me claiming that they never received the item. Funny right? Don't worry it gets even funnier, I provided PayPal with screenshots of their positive review, provided them with the tracking number and with the countless messages they sent me thanking me and telling me how happy they were with the item, and told them what was plain as day this transaction occurred MONTHS ago and after them claiming countless times they were happy. But guess what? Paypal aka the demons sided with them anyways.
As I said this has happened to me twice, the second time it was even worse. The person was a known scammer and the address they had listed as their shipping address was a known scamming location but I don't even want to talk about it. Already angry enough, just know that no matter how much evidence I showed Paypal they still took the scammer's side, so not only did they get their money back but they also got to keep my item which was a brand new iPhone.
So because of them I now owe around $224, lost almost $400 I had in my PayPal account beforehand that I made from selling on eBay and already have debt collectors on my **, my accounts in negative but they're never going to see that money, they can all shove it straight up their **. I ain't paying for **. (If you're new to Paypal what they do is in instances like what happened with me they'll pay the other person back then will add the debt to your account. Meaning you have to pay PayPal back.)
Like I said at the beginning of this please don't use Paypal. A little over a year ago I was stupid and had no idea what I was getting myself into when I started selling on eBay to make so extra money but it literally has been a NIGHTMARE dealing with this company. eBay is bad too but only in regards to holds on money for new sellers and the amounts they charge, Paypal is in a whole other league of bad. I stopped selling on eBay months ago and stopped using PayPal then too but as you can see once you come into contact with this demon you're forever cursed. WHATEVER YOU DO STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL.

I haven't used PayPal enough to know how it works great, but what little I have had to do with it, I'm contemplating bailing out. I don't know what kind of comedians they've got working over there, but it seems like it's a dishonest, underhanded outfit. I run a mowing business and mow two post offices in the area with my pay coming through PayPal into my bank account. I found it rather odd that the successful bidder for the post offices must be able to go through PP at first, I didn't really think anything of it, though.
I finished for the season shortly before Halloween, but had held off sending the postmaster the invoice until the first of the year. Right away trouble began with getting charged 1.75 so I actually got paid 48.25, instead of $50. What's more is it didn't go through until after New Year's Day, but at least I got my money. I got a rude awakening. Jan. 3 when I noticed three emails from PP saying such things as payment reversal, the payment didn't go through because my bank gave an automated response my account was closed and they had removed my bank account from my PP account.
First of all, despite only showing two numbers of my bank account, neither the routing or account number it goes into contains a 4, much less 44. Reading some of these reviews on here put the brakes on me trying to call them to see what was going on, leaving me a better choice of calling my bank, instead. I asked one of the girls there what had happened and told her they claimed my account was closed. The girl said the 48.25 had gone through and deposited and that my account wasn't closed.
As far as I could tell, PP appeared to be attempting to cause a ruckus and quite possibly shutting me down after the first time, possibly costing me more than I gain. Then a day later, I get another PP email requesting me to confirm my bank account number. I'm not too sure I'll mess with that and just close the account, instead. I have seen posts on them just cancelling your account at random, and I'd rather just do that myself. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I don't get a W2 form out of it and have to pay taxes on it.
I'll have some thinking to do before mowing season starts as far as trying to talk to the postmaster about another way to pay, or if I'll even mow it after all. Seems like PayPal's pretty slimy. I know I'd much rather get cash to me directly than going through something like PP. I don't believe I ever saw anything about any fees being charged that would short me out of full pay, either. If I have to, I suppose I can create another account that might get set up better when the time is right, but for now, I think I'm finished with it.

Paypal placing Holds, limitations and restrictions. Paypal is placing excessive holds on my funds. I sell items on eBay and agreed to eBay's terms for new sellers. After 90 days of selling eBay no longer requires funds be held and instead allow for immediate availability. As of Dec 2018 Paypal now places holds on funds that exceed the previous requirements. I was informed that there was no limitations placed on my account however they now impose a hold time that goes beyond the previous hold time. I must now wait an additional 24-48 hours after an item has been confirmed delivered before Paypal will release the payments on hold.
Paypal has previously placed a limitation on my account and I provided the requested information. I was not able to use the Paypal account for 10 days and it created issues with completing transactions and shipments on eBay. Paypal now claims that they are holding funds for an additional period of time as a risk management strategy. They claim no limitation was placed on my account but then proceeded to place limiting actions on my account. Customer service instead of listen talks over me when I speak with them (Please request the call recordings to have a better understanding of this). I really believe PayPal is violating my rights and the law.
They can take any action they wish and I have no recourse! I also believe Paypal's rules are in direct conflict with eBay seller rules and in turn become excessive and unfair. No email or notification was sent to me to alert me of the additional wait time and hold on funds in my account. I really do feel like Paypal is being very unfair and has NO value for me whatsoever. Account ID: **
Your Desired Resolution: Stop imposing additional holds, restrictions and limitations. My account has been in good standing and it's damaging to my ability to do business when Paypal continues its unfair practices. Paypal should not be monitoring the item, shipping, tracking and delivery and adding additional hold times on funds. If there is a problem it is eBay's responsibility to manage the issue and not Paypal's job to monitor the transaction outside of the funds.
Paypal should listen to customer's concerns and complaints when they call customer service and not interrupt the customer when they are speaking (refer to the call recordings for why this is an issue.) Paypal has FLAGGED and limited and restricted my account. They claim they haven't but if there is no limitation then why do they continue to limit my funds and availability? Paypal should try to care more for the customer and less about their excessive rules they impose.

I tried calling, which took about 2 days to figure out how to get in contact with a customer service agent who then told me that the system is down and that is the reason as to why I can't confirm my status. To me that's an issue that no email was sent out explaining this situation. That's not fair to clients like me that are actually doing their part in trying to receive their money, but the company is lacking in the IT Department.
I proceeded to tell the agent that this is ridiculous because this is my money and I should be able to take my money. She said that I could submit my SSN and it would take 5-7 business days to verify that information. I was a little confused. My suggestion to PayPal is that if you have a system error there should not be a penalty for some policy a client was trying to abide by. It's not the client's fault that the company doesn't have the proper tools for their client to receive their money. I also, think it's fraudulent to withhold someone's money without sending the proper notification if the system is down. I agree with all of the previous statements. Their system isn't beneficial. Some people rely on this money. I work with Rover and I think they should start using another program like Venmo or maybe Cash App since these seem to be a bit more reliable than PayPal.

After almost 20 years with PayPal I will now close my account after I had several fraudulent charges made. I made the proper PayPal cases and they never got back to me. Upon checking I found that the cases were gone. I called and they just said, "You were denied and the charges were ‘consistent’." Well there were 4 charges on Christmas Day to a store I have never been to or purchased anything from ever, nor did I make any purchases on that day - so how is that ‘consistent.’ Treated like dirt and not helped at all even though they constantly boast about ‘buyer/account protection.’ You just lost a customer permanently, and I will be sure to badmouth this company at any chance. There are many rising competitors.

I was trying to make an online purchase using PayPal and the transaction went through 3 times. The seller reversed 2 of the 3 payments but the 3rd has been pending since 20th November. I have sent 4 emails to PayPal within the last 6 weeks asking about this and have received no response whatsoever even though their response time is supposed to be within 24 hours. They have also placed a limit on my account because I am supposed to be selling ‘prohibited goods’ when I have never actually sold anything online at all-especially through them.
The limitation problem first came about around 6 months ago and I provided the information asked for and it was accepted. However, on Christmas Day I received the same email stating that there had been a limitation put on my account (not sure how they can put 2 on there?) and I can’t provide any more information so I’m stuck. They are also holding my funds hostage from the aforementioned cancelled transactions and I am unable to move my own money into my own verified bank account (the transfer has been pending now for 4 weeks and it’s supposed to be either approved or denied within 72 hours). Have received no communication from them whatsoever, the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I’m a 60 year old, fairly tech savvy person who created a PayPal account for the first time 4 days ago. I linked my AMEX card to it. Fast forward 4 days and I receive a call at 8:00 PM on Friday night from AMEX suspecting a fraudulent charge on my account, thru PayPal, for a $27.00 Uber Ride. I immediately contacted, PayPal to dispute the charge. An hour or so later at 9:00 PM I receive an email from Uber stating that my dispute has been denied, but provided no reason(s) for the denial.
So I contact Uber to ask for the reasons for the denial and how they could have made that determination in less than an hour on a Friday night?? The Uber customer service rep was rude and simply stated that if I wanted to know how they made the determination, I would need to mail them a letter requesting the info. I was shocked!! It’s clear this company does not care about its customers and assumes you are guilty unless you can prove you're innocent. Well needless to say, I contacted AMEX who quickly reversed the charge and denied payment to PayPal. And then, with great satisfaction, I called PayPal back and cancelled my 4 day old account. When I did call back to cancel, no one at PayPal cared or even asked why. Very Sad.

I know writing this isn’t going to do anything but I wish someone would sue PayPal into oblivion. They are like dealing with the Mafia! I’m disabled and ran into a money crisis so I sold some items I didn’t want to on eBay to pay for propane and a few other basic needs! When eBay released my funds PayPal wouldn’t transfer it to my bank account. They already verified the account and I even uploaded a copy of my driver's license. But funny thing is I remembered I had another old PayPal account that had no issues and I tried to transfer to it and it was successful. When I tried to transfer the funds to my bank from there PayPal refuse there also so basically they are holding the funds hostage. I can move it around PayPal but not to a bank account where I can actually buy propane for heat!
When I tried to move the money back to the original account PayPal now won’t let me. Now I have to call them when they open to see what they want now to get my money? DNA? Blood? A Kidney? If it gets cold again, I’m going to run out of propane and my pipes might freeze. Nice way of treating a disabled person on social security. They don’t care. They have more money than any one person could ever need! And nobody to answer to when they act like a Mafia organization! If I don’t get my money I will be put over $800 and actually over $1500 because that’s what I sold cost me (it took me a while to buy it and I knew I would take a loss selling it on Ebay) but PayPal has made it so. Would have been better off just throwing the stuff in the trash. I may need to take out a title loan on my only vehicle and risk losing it if I can’t pay those crooks back fast enough! Until recently I used PayPal rather than my credit card for online purchases. Then an online purchase was made in error from my PayPal account for a Google Service. It was quite an expensive one. I contacted PayPal and explained how the purchase was made in error (I didn't even own the product needed for the Google Service to have any value). In a few days PayPal said they 'investigated', closed the file and told me the decision was final. The entire time my specific claim was not mentioned, it was all computer generated responses. I protested and again received a computer generated response.
Meanwhile I contacted the Google Service directly. I received an email from Google referencing my specific claim and within a few days the purchase money was refunded. PayPal could learn a lot from Google Customer Service. Be forewarned if you use PayPal - there is no viable dispute process. If a payment is made from your account - you'll never see that money again. Even credit card companies offer better protection against payment errors/wrongful claims.

Where do I begin... First off I did not want to use PayPal to begin with because I have heard all the horror stories of hackers actually getting away with ripping you off through these guys which I thought was not true. Boy was I wrong. I am a Ebay seller and I had no other choice but to start a account with these guys and oh boy did I get worked. I lost about 800 dollars to this company because someone was making transactions without my consent and I went to reset my password and security settings so I had to upload my ID and reset my password. I did that and two days later I get a notice saying PayPal has completely shut me down and is keeping my money for 180 days in both my accounts. For some reason I am just gonna let them do this and wait to get my money. That's how much I do not like this company and do not wish to be any part of them whatsoever in the near future.
I may sue them in small claims court because I do live in CA and have a good shot at winning considering the circumstances. I did nothing wrong and they have taken my money from me and allowed access to other people that I have not said ok to make transactions on my account and now they have taken my money from me. DO not deal with this company. Avoid them. Trust me these guys are horrible. So horrible even Ebay has cut ties with them. Starting in 2019 Ebay will be dealing with a new German company and PayPal will just be a option. Thank god. BE smart. Do not let these guys steal from you. Don't give them your business at all. These guys are definitely not your pals in any way.

I would like to warn others to not do business with this service. I decided to make a purchase on December 7 and thought PayPal might be more convenient and easier to make payment. This has been the worst experience I have ever made to pay for a purchase. Paypal has refused to refund me my money even though the merchant contacted me on December 10 to inform me they were cancelling my order. Paypal has taken a total of $250 and says I must contact them. Account Manager at the merchant to get them to release the funds.
The merchant tells me they never collected payment and I need to deal with PayPal. This has been an appalling lack of service and their refusal to refund my money is beyond belief. They say after 30 days it should be released. Please don't ever use them. A complete scam. Yesterday I spoke to one customer service rep at PayPal. Told me to drive to Walmart and get a Visa card and give him the number and he would fill up my card with my refund. He asked me when I could do this. I said tomorrow. He said 'no maam you don't understand you have to go there right away while I stay on the phone with you'.
I protested and said you have got to be kidding me. He repeatedly told me to drive to Walmart and buy a credit card for him to then load with my refund money and he would stay on the line. This was beyond strange so I hung up on him. It's impossible to speak to any senior executives at PayPal. Their service is a disgrace to trusting customers who choose to use them for convenience sake. There has been nothing convenient about using their service. They are still holding my money after 3 weeks. Credit cards refund immediately without bothering customer. Never again. I don't know when or if I will ever seem my money refunded. So then, I tried to contact support, which put me through a myriad of questions never to give me a phone number. After 45 minutes, I finally got a phone number with a code. But the code was only good for 1 hour and I didn't know that do wasn't able to make the call later without going through this WHOLE troubleshooting process again.
So I called again, then to get an automated voice telling me what to do which wasn't accomplishing what I needed. Finally got through to their call center in MALAYSIA. PayPal is requiring me to add a credit card now in order to process the check. But wait! There's more! I've spent 3.5 hours over 4 phone calls, with at least 3 different supervisors, in the past 2 weeks, to dispute a false claim/chargeback on my account, that I've finally discovered is IMPOSSIBLE for PayPal to reverse, according to the managing supervisor I spoke with. This reversed-payment was for services rendered by my business, and because I processed the payment without checking the "Services & Products" button, now this transaction is NOT covered by PayPal Seller's Protection. I've been using PayPal for client payments for years now, and they pop this excuse on me to justify not honoring the legitimacy of my claim.
Because of this dispute/claim, I now am in debt to PayPal, when in actuality, the money being disputed ought to be in escrow, which it is not. Instead of putting the disputed funds into escrow, and allowing me to continue to operate out of my account, PP decided to apply some gifted personal money that was sent me via Paypal me to use for feeding me and my son, to this false business "debt". Now I must contact my family member and ask them to chargeback this money, since PP won't return it to me. The ripple effects of PayPal’s lack of accountability are vast. All of this wasted time and energy investment and financial stress is because a former client stole from me money that was rightly mine, and because PayPal didn't tell me about the liability of receiving payments without seller protection. "It's in the terms of agreement" is all they say.
Customer service is dead at PayPal. They don't care about how their customers feel about the treatment received. I appealed to every supervisor and their complete lack of empowerment was astounding. PayPal is run by automatons. I've decided, and I'm actively informing all my clients and friends not to trust this organization, and am seeking a more human alternative. I hope this has helped empower someone to stop working with PayPal, if I can help spare others from the disempowerment and rage I felt from dealing with PayPal's lack of accountability and care.

It was addressed to Doral ** as the buyer has that address and was shipped to the right address, I have the receipt right here and the tracking information says as much." After much arguing and being transferred to the manager -- PayPal manager "blah blah blah and finally; we will look into this for you." (I had a feeling this was to just get off the phone with me. [I was right.])
10 minutes later --- Dec 17th: I call the USPS because I don't believe the PayPal manager (on hold for 2 hours for the USPS) -- Me: "Hi, I was told this tracking number was delivered to the incorrect address so PayPal is withholding payment." -- USPS: "This package was picked up in the local post office by the buyer, if PayPal has an issue they should contact us as it was delivered to the person intended, you should just call them back and let them know". ME: "Ok but it's much too late at this point."
Dec 18th: So...I call PayPal back... Ring, (have to hold for 45 minutes) "Hi, I shipped this item and the buyer went to a local post office and picked it up". PayPal says, "Well it wasn't delivered to the address intended so we have to hold the money"... Ok, that's what I spoke to the manager about yesterday and he said he would follow up. No answer... ME: "Well, I expect these funds to be available immediately as it was shipped to the correct address and received. PAYPAL: "Sorry we can't do that, we have to hold funds for 21 days". ME -- "I spoke with the post office and they stated it was common for that ZIP code to deliver to many different ZIP codes and that it is not uncommon for someone to pick up a package at that post office as it delivers to many ZIP codes". PAYPAL: "We will look into this and see what we can do".
Dec 19th: I spend many hours researching the buyer and the address that was listed on eBay to be shipped to; only to find out that there is a scam warning for the address; so I call PayPal back to warn them about the scam... ME (waiting for 2 hours on the phone again): "Hi, I wanted to report a scam or perhaps a potential fraud from the address I sent my item to." -- PayPal (reported, "We will take care of it."). Dec 20th: I call PayPal back to follow up and not one fraud potential was reported so (absolutely infuriated) I asked to close my account after nearly 20 years and PayPal says they can't. ME: "Well; it will be closed, I assure you"; regardless of their incompetence. I cannot believe I trusted this shady company for so long.

I made a purchase using my PayPal account for a complaint called Lovelywave on 11/22/18. On December 1, 2018 I fixed a dispute because I had not yet received my items and was told by PayPal that in Dec 12th it would be closed and that they would refund me my money. Well on Dec 12 when I contacted PayPal I was told it was still under investigation for an additional three days since the seller gave them a tracking number. I tried to explain to them that I received the same info that was false and provided no detailed info as to my order, where it was or when it was delivered or would be.
After the three days I called PayPal again to notify them that I received an email giving me a whole different tracking number and that they needed to close this account and refund me my money not only because I still haven’t received it but it’s fraud. I was cut off - told it would be a total of 20 days and placed on hold for long periods of time with no one returning to the phone. PayPal is a waste of time. They should investigate thoroughly and they don’t - they take the work of these fraudulent sellers.

I purchased a coat from Abercrombie and Fitch on December 7, 2018 online and used PayPal as payment. I had plenty in my PayPal account, but PayPal showed two approvals for the purchase, one to my PayPal account and one to my credit card. My card is set up as preference if PayPal account does not cover the charge. The approval from my bank dropped off on December 13 and the payment showed up on PayPal on December 14. Multiple other charges had been taken out of my PayPal account, but for some reason this one was not.
On December 17 the charge hit my bank causing my bank account to overdraft and cost me $140.00 in overdraft fees. When I called PayPal, they refused to take any type of responsibility and refused to reimburse me for the fees they caused. I went up three levels of management and all I can say is they have no regard for customers or customer service. The manager suggested that I file for refund for my wife's Christmas present. We still have to deal with my bank and PayPal would never take responsibility for their mishandling of the transaction.

Contacted Paypal and they say it is my error, they could not refund my money. I need to get the $100 back from charity myself. I do not violate any terms, legal business, no complaints, verified bank accounts - everything - they said not able to overdue decision, oh and by the way they hold money 180 days! That is theft.
They also said they are keeping my banking info-how is it legal? To close an account and keep financial info? Sadly they claim it's for customer safety - lol but they back eBay which is full of fraud and complaints, oh they make money so they dont care -- , but if it violates their left wing thinking or agendas they shut you down - corrupt politicians back them and their theft of people's money without due or lawful clause - if you own a business, take it from a 14 year PayPal vet - run. Sick to death of following all the rules and jumping through all PayPal's hoops, only for my money to be held! Once again I’ve missed out on buying something waiting for these thieves to return my money - god only knows how long I’ll have to wait this time. They must make millions in interest off other people’s money, being held. Amazing how they can take your money on the spot instantly but can’t refund it on spot. Depending on your account status they will hold your money up to 90 days. How is that justified! They deem perfectly normal transactions as suspicious then Of course hold the payment - even after you have proved it’s you making the payment they still have make you wait 3 days to return it.
I finally ended up getting through to some idiot on the phone who blamed my bank for stopping/holding my payment, when I told him I had already been in contact with my bank it wasn’t them. He assured me it was the bank, so I said I’ll put us in 3 way convo with my bank - (on the phone) and he hung up! That told me right then - they have no problems lying to pass the blame. Absolutely disgusting customer service. They have a monopoly on online payments. Sometimes you don’t have a choice but to use them.

Whenever I tried to contact their customer service, all I got was copy-pasted sections of their FAQ page asking me to send some documents. Which I complied to. But even after that, I would still get the same template reply every single time.
After the Indonesian users complained through social media and phone, they gradually lifted our bans one by one. Still, no explanation were given on what went wrong. Then in Mid-Dec, they did exactly the same thing all over again. Even one small business owner's USD19k is being held by PayPal by the time I'm writing this. If I could give a negative star review I would! This is about the worst company to work with. They just have a big name and promote that somehow they work with reputable companies and they will help you get your money back if you had taken advantage of! Reality is you have to go through a long process and try to communicate back-and-forth with the seller who most of us are probably already tired to deal with at that point. So now I have to wait another 30 days for the dispute to get done and still not get my money back.
After a very long wait with PayPal’s not so great customer service, twice!!! I get told after the second call that’s the seller still hasn’t responded and that when it closes in a few days I will get refunded my money. I unknowingly had placed five orders with a crap company from China that looking online further was cheating a lot of people under many names! There are also tons of reviews of people complaining to PayPal about getting their money back, going through disputes and notifying them of these knots are reputable companies! All of those reviews, most people never got their money back even after going through PayPal’s lengthy process.
ISN’T THIS WHY WE USE PAYPAL SERVICE??? So we don't get screwed as a consumer??? Know we are not working with a scam company?? PayPal participants beware! There were hundreds of people that notified PayPal of these companies and they did nothing! Just continuing to let everybody get screwed and customer service his excuse was they can’t always tell which companies are good or bad!
So, if that’s the case I wonder why they wouldn’t take a company's ability to use their PayPal services away with so many complaints? I have to go through my bank with a bunch paperwork to finally get my money back. My banker was very adamant that PayPal is not a good service as they get these complaints all the time! You're better off to use your debit card and if there are issues they can help you so much quicker get it back and not lose your money!! My favorite thing I noticed is directly on PayPal, suppose it reviews it shows a five star rating, what a joke. Now google PayPal online and see the true star rating of all the complaints by consumers across multiple sites!! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Stop using them and be in control of your own money!

It's been over 15 years since one of the most devastating days of my entire life. I was a seller on eBay with nearly 400 transactions and all positive feedbacks. I had another job but seriously depended on my eBay sales to supplement my income. I had 3 small children to feed on top of my rent and bills. Everything was going well and my sales were increasing, as I always went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my buyers were happy. I usually packed a free gift for my customers that would be related to the purchase and be received as a nice little surprise and a special thank you note attached. If I sold a sweater for instance, I would include a little cedar bar they could place in their sweater drawer to protect the clothing.
If I sold a pair of boots, I would add wooden or plastic boot supports as the gift. A collectible coin or trading card would be packed with a complimentary plastic protective holder like you see in the shops. My buyers were so pleased with the gifts and my lightning fast shipping with tracking, I had repeat business with many customers. One day I came home to find that my account had been suspended. I had unfinished transactions I needed to complete and couldn't. Still, I wasn't too worried because I knew it had to be an honest mistake or clerical error and could all be ironed out with a phone call to PayPal customer service. When I called to inquire as to my account status, they placed me on hold for a long time then disconnected me.
I called back, got transferred a few times and got disconnected again. The 3rd time I called, I was in tears and asked them to please try and not disconnect me as I had transactions I needed to finish and really had to clear this up. I got transferred a few times and finally got to speak to a supervisor. I couldn't believe my ears what she said to me! She said she couldn't do anything about my account and that it was going to be closed permanently. When I asked her what the reason was, she said she couldn't discuss that with me and there was nothing she could do. I called back numerous times, talked to different people and either got disconnected or got no reason why they were closing my account.
Mind you, this was in the month that I had the highest sales ever, over $5000.00 which put $500.00 in fees in PayPal's pocket from me. I almost got evicted, couldn't pay my bills and it took me months to catch up. The thing I hated most was my kids having to see me crying and stressed out so badly. Fast forward 15 years. I was doing a detailed search of my email to find some lost pictures. The technology was improved to make this much faster and easier than in previous years. All of a sudden... there it was! eBay had sent me an apology reinstating my account about a year after I was kicked off the site by PayPal. I never saw the email and it was now 15 years later. My kids are all grown and everything has changed.
I have sold a few items here and there on different sites, and I even successfully opened a new eBay account and sold a few items. It's difficult when you have to start completely over and lose all your transaction history but that's the way it goes. Would I ever use PayPal again? Not EVER! Not if my LIFE depended on it! Come to find out, they lost a class action suit because they were kicking people off the site for no reason other than the fact that they weren't Power Sellers. I also read that eBay will no longer use PayPal at all come 2020 and that they are switching over to a European company. Is there any doubt why?
Any company that has total disregard for people's incomes that they depend on to feed their kids and pay bills and all because of excess greed and corruption are truly evil. I firmly believe that anybody who was an active part of kicking off innocent sellers from the site is going to have to answer to that and pay. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but as far as mine go? You can't hide what you do from God! All the money in the world might make you feel like a big guy when you spit on all the little people who MADE you who you are. He is much more powerful than you and one of these days you're going to find that out when you have to answer for your greed and how you stepped on people to feed your selfish overindulgence. May PayPal drown in a pool of misery and unethical behavior they inflicted on millions of sellers who did nothing wrong!

I seriously regret using PayPal HERE, they hold your money FOR NO REASON for a month or longer! I used their card reader to process a few transactions for a popup store we did off-site and they are holding all payments (except for $500) for a month - the transactions took place on Dec 8 and we don't get the money released until January 7th!!! This is a huge problem for our cash flow and payments to vendors under contract! I would NEVER use them again - SQUARE and STRIPE only hold payments for a day or 2...
I have equally had a PayPal business account for over 5 years and have never had an issue with customers for online payments. There is no justifiable reason for them to hold payments for such extensive time frames for PayPal business users, except that it is a total RACKET and they are using our funds and making money/interest etc on their added cash flow by withholding merchant funds.
According to their website when I checked re the HOLD they state: "Delaying funds availability is a common industry practice we implement to help ensure the secure use of PayPal by both buyers and sellers. By placing your money in your pending balance, we’re trying to make sure that there’s enough money in your PayPal account to resolve any issues that may arise with your accounts such as chargebacks or disputes. When subject to a hold, the money is temporarily not available to use. If there aren’t any issues with your transaction or account, the payment will typically move to your available balance within 21 [business] days after receipt."
This is of course not revealed until AFTER they hold your money and when I called they said there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. It is also NOT A "a common industry practice." No other payment services withhold funds for 21 business days!! It is common for FIRST time users to have payments withheld for up to 7 days when you use STRIPE or SQUARE, never longer than that. Also I had been using the PayPal HERE card reader for over a year when this happened, so was in no way a "risky" or "new" business where this could be in any way justified. STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL HERE. They are exploiting merchants and withholding payments unreasonably!

I signed up for PayPal credit because they offered no interest, no minimum payments for 6 months on purchases of 99 Dollars or more. Suddenly they changed the terms and raised the APR and instituted a minimum monthly payment. That seemed shady but since I pay monthly and well over the required minimum I didn't feel it was that big of a deal because I am way past schedule to pay it all back well before the deadlines of all purchases. I guess they realize that too because suddenly I am seeing a two dollar service charge on my account. There were never any service charges before and now suddenly there are.
The thing is last night I called PayPal because my statement said I would accrued interest if I didn't pay 119 dollars. Say what?! Not possible because I am ahead of schedule. Its suspect that I pay 100 dollars a month and suddenly they are trying to tell me that I need to pay 119 to avoid interest. I called and spoke with an agent and he said don't worry because I made a 100 dollar payment on the 1st of the month but there is a delay but I am ahead of schedule. That was after he tried to tell me I had interest on accrued. I had to have him go backwards through my statement and do the math. He did and had no choice but to change his tune. I think they depend on people not paying very close attention to the math or not being very good at math but I'm guilty of neither. The agent told me don't worry I'm fine and that was that.
Today I look on my statement and see that now there is a 2 dollar service charge. I feel like they see they aren't making any money off of me and are trying to finagle dollars out of my pocket any way they think they can get away with. They have kept the money I had on my account for no reason. That's stealing & PayPal gets away with it. My review would negative stars!
