Lately they have poor service. They are always on the side of the scammers, they do not return the amount of $69, which they agree with the seller. Since the seller is a ghost does not exist seems on the computer for as long as it sells and then disappears and PayPal agrees with them.

You would reckon that when you pay a lot of money for your transactions, you get a good and fast service. But nothing is more true. I paid a lot of money and still, all my transactions take a long time to complete. It can take days or even weeks. The customer service is hard to reach and they can't help you. Also, they use American standard rules which makes it impossible for me to transfer money. They won't compensate because they hide behind their guidelines. Never seen a worse service than this.

I am a freelance web developer. I use PayPal to invoice my clients. I received one payment and collected my funds without incident. Thereafter, PayPal has placed holds on my payments, asked me to verify my identity and contact info and I haven’t been able to transfer funds. I received an email 48 hours after submitting my ID SS card and utility bill, that my the company verified my identity. However when I attempted to transfer funds to my mum, I received an error to validate my cell number. I did yet the error says my mobile number isn’t in my name... What? Yes it is!!! Ok so I try to send my cash to Walmart to pick up funds... Oops Something Went Wrong.. is the message I received... Finally I decided to transfer the funds to my debit card... There is a 7 day hold!!!! Why... I call the company and no one is available due to the COVID19...

In summary I have funds in my account I can’t access and payments that are on hold.. This company is a scam!!!! I need to access my money to buy groceries during this crisis and the company is using this crisis as an excuse to hold funds! The government needs to shut down this company ASAP!!!! I am going to blog and send complaints to BBB and every government entity that I can think of. I urge you all to do the same. Stop using PayPal. I suggest using alternate method. Hit this company in the pocket and place them in a bind just as they have you. Pull out all of your funds when you can AND Do Not use them anymore!!!! Finally report their illicit business activities. We need access to our funds now more than ever!!!!

We had an unpleasant experience using Paypal as a payment system. I was trying to send money to a new Chinese supplier for goods, but due to a spelling mistake in the email address, the money did not go through to the correct recipient. Thus, I tried to cancel the payment by pressing on the pending mode as per instructed on the web in the app, but it did not work at all (even now). Consequently on a Monday, I called up Paypal Singapore's helpline, however to our annoyance it kept ringing for 20 minutes with no one picking up on the end. We tried it a few times and kept getting the same results. No response, constant ringing.

As the amount was significant (845 USD), I finally went to the 9th floor of the Paypal office in Suntec City on 17th March at 12pm hoping to get some feedback. The lady receptionist was not helpful at all. She just kept saying that there was no technician available and to lodge a report online instead, saying that she could not do anything.

However, I could not leave without evidence of me having a report of my predicament. I asked instead for a piece of paper, stating that I had been there to prove that the money in my account was still pending, and that we need urgent action to help cancel it while we still can. She instead stated that she could not doing anything, and thus I requested to see her superior.

Conveniently, all the superiors were not around. I insisted to wait and she gave me a namecard to call which was totally useful. Finally there was a security officer by the name of Melvin Fung coming into the office. Although he did tell us he was not a customer service officer, he was rude and yelled at us, which made the whole experience horrible, especially when we were already faced with uncertainty of sending money to the wrong person. Not only Paypal is terrible at providing customer service, I had never been screamed at so many times. He did try to offer some solutions in the end, but I am still totally disappointed with Paypal's service. Here are my main issues with PayPal:

1)Refunding money in the app never works.

2)Customer service is terrible. Nonexistent on a Monday afternoon. When I called their CS helpline I was only met with constant ringing and looping sounds, with zero response from the other end. No one picked up either, wasting 2 hours of my time.

    3) I personally went to Paypal's HQ to lodge a report, only to find that there's no report lodging form or complaint booklet.

4)The receptionist knows nothing, and does not even dare to verify a lodge report for us. Security officer yelled a lot at us.

My worst customer experience in my entire life. We'll never use Paypal again.

I opened my account when I was living abroad in France for a 6 month College exchange. I registered my Mexican credit card and I was able to make as many purchases as needed. After 5 years of using PayPal to purchase, I received a deposit and when I tried to transfer my money, it said I needed a French bank account to receive money. I've never had any bank accounts outside of Mexico so I had to call PayPal France about 6 times in order to have my money transferred to a new Mexican account. We were finally able to transferred it and shows as pending. The status says it that I will have access to the money in 21 business days for security purposes. I can't believe their system is so backdated that they will restrict me from my own money for such a long period of time. The deposit was made on March the 13th 2020, and I will not have access to it until mid April 2020.... Unbelievable!

Next, they gave me a site where I can send info to help my case but the site wouldn't upload my info and they dismissed my claim so if I was you I would use a secure credit card, that way you get protected not the seller. I have a business account with PayPal, and changing it to a business account was the worst thing I could've done. Since I changed it I have less control over my account, I get charged pretty disgusting fees for the small amounts I make, and even if family or friends are just transferring money as a gift I still get charged a fee! It's harder to use as well. But my biggest grief is I've just had my access limited for the 2nd time without warning or explanation.

When I tried to fix it this time they asked to prove it was me by providing my address. I put it in 3 times and it said it was incorrect (which it wasn't! I even checked on PayPal to make sure it matched). I messaged them about it and they said I needed to put in my other address??? I asked what address, I only have one listed, and they said 'Your business address' to which I replied that I don't have a business address, I run my business from home so they're one and the same. They basically said too bad, I'll have to provide all these documents to prove who I am.

I explained that they are different from my PayPal name as I changed my last name to my married name, but there was no option to change my name. So they tell me there's apparently nothing I can do. I have asked them to close the account which they won't do. I have asked them to explain why they limited my access in the first place, they won't answer. They won't answer the phone, it rings or puts you on hold for ages, and now they're not taking any calls because of COVID19! So I'm completely stuck. I'm going back to bank transfers and credit cards, and a big SCREW YOU to PayPal. Thanks for all the constant headaches and taking my hard earned money. I'm so sorry I tried it.

I contacted Paypal via chat because they are short staffed per their phone line. During the chat the rep told me the same thing. So, Paypal wasn't protecting the buyer and seller last month but this month they decide to protect us both, ha!

They're not good to use for business. My funds are needed immediately in order for me to run a successful business. I cannot afford a vendor holding my funds when they see fit. I'm sure next month it will be a different reason for them to do something faulty. I would agree with this if this was in writing day one when I sent the first invoice.

PayPal repeated several times “when they see the item has been shipped for return. The refund process will be processed”. Which was just another twisted truth. They said it did not need to be insured unless it was over 750.00. So the item was tracked all the way to Hong Kong and not signed for. They felt that was not enough for them to debt the vender's account and credit mine. This has been going on for months. No one cares or will take one step out of their work day to work the problem. In Dec 2019 I made a payment of $80 to them but under the wrong account, they had changed account numbers after a merger and nowhere on my statements or online was the new account number. A few days after the due date I got a email saying my account was overdue.

I went online to see if the check had cleared, and it had so I contacted the payment department at paypal and they said they would look into it. If the account could not be found the funds would be returned to my bank. To avoid any extra charges I then paid it off and would wait for the funds. After one month nothing was resolved so I contacted them again and opened a case with them. They contacted the company I purchased the product from and yes they got my $80 payment the second time so they were happy, but paypal missed the point- Paypal has my money, not the vendor. I have sent them my bank statements showing the transactions but they can not get it through there thick heads what the problem is, the problem being they have my money -which is seen from the bank records-twice for a single purchase. They have since closed the case as there is nothing wrong. Last time I use paypal.

I decided recently to start a small home repair business. I've been using PayPal for nearly three years to send child support payments to two ex-wives making regular weekly and monthly payments to each woman. I also use the service to transfer small friend to friend loans for over three years. I decided to leave my job and begin doing home repair work on my own. The first deposit payments that I collected from my customers I elected to use PayPal because I liked and trusted their service. Only when I began collecting these deposit payments did PayPal freeze my account and request arbitrary information even though all of my customers had logged into PayPal from their side and confirmed that the payments were legitimate.

PayPal still froze the payments and held them for an exorbitant periods Of time forcing me to return to the negotiation table with my customers and explain to them that PayPal had received their moneys and arbitrarily held it preventing me from starting their jobs. 3 of 3 customers explain to me that they felt this was a sign of distrust and that there must be some reason that PayPal flag payments. 3 of 3 customers believe the PayPal had held the payments because of some history of fraud or theft on my behalf. I was forced to return over $8,000 in deposit monies and return to my job as a company employee with my head hanging indescribably low.

I will reassume my dream to be a business owner but as a result of the heartache I've endured from PayPal's nonsense I can assure you that I have made efforts to delete their app pending one final payment. And beyond that I will seek to influence every person that will listen to me not to use PayPal for fear of suffering the same fate that is father of four small business suffered due to PayPal's unprofessionalism and faulty procedures.

If anyone else is a small business owner looking to get away from the immense fees and horrible delays imposed by PayPal I would like to recommend Square and National Bank card as alternatives. These services will be much more attentive to your needs and any information that might postpone a payment will be collected at the start of your relationship with these services whereas PayPal elected to transfer thousands of dollars over the course of three years with no question and suddenly begin freezing payments at their behest. Furthermore PayPal offered very lacks and limited communication during the. Where the payments were being frozen I have half a mind to believe that they are intentionally holding large payments for interest in investment purposes. I will no longer use PayPal and take every opportunity to discredit them.

So FYI for anyone who uses PayPal. I have a credit line through PayPal but I also add my ATM/Visa card to it. I added my new bank card on the fifth of March to PayPal. On 6 March 2 transactions were made from a company called Venmo. First transaction $500.Second transaction $400. When I called Golden 1 to cancel the card and they started my fraud case it led back to a company called Venmo. And I told golden 1 I don’t have an account with a company called Venmo and actually had to Google what Venmo was. The customer service rep tells me, "Well you’ve had an account since 2018." I said no the only account I opened in 2018 was PayPal. Well Venmo turns out is owned by PayPal. So is it a coincidence that I changed my ATM Visa card with PayPal the night before $900 was taken out fraudulently. By a company that is owned by PayPal.

So Venmo customer service is not open till Monday. So through my accounts with PayPal I made contact via Messaging. And instantly PayPal says basically, "Not our problem. It couldn't have come from us. We don’t share your information with third parties" even though they have to know damn well that Venmo is owned by them. They didn’t even offer to check into it. They just instantly said, "Nope. Not our problem." So I guess I got a wait for golden 1 to do their magic. And call Venmo on Monday. But the moral of the story is if you have a PayPal account stop using it. Don’t add your bank account information or credit card information. Because if something goes wrong PayPal just throw up their hands and says, "NOT OUR PROBLEM!." Even if they didn’t end up being able to do anything for me their instant response to a customer should not of been that.

Two weeks later they still have my payment on hold.

After reading other accounts of similar problems other customers have had, it is quite apparent that they are more interested in grabbing people's money at random and keeping it for their own use for as long as possible. Yesterday I was told by one of their phone agents that the funds would be released by the end of the day. They were not. These people are liars and thieves. PayPal repeatedly holding Not-For-Profit funds and requesting massive information and documentation which has been repeatedly provided. We are a New York State Not-For-Profit Corporation that has been operating for 5 years. We run an annual educational and networking conference and raise money by selling sponsorships to companies that wish to participate. This year, we decided to streamline the sponsorship process by adding a pay via PayPal option to sponsors rather than collecting paper checks. This was apparently a huge mistake, as PayPal cannot figure out how we operate and has frozen our sponsorship funds repeatedly. PayPal placed our funds on hold 3 times consecutively and requested documentation and information about the operations, copies of ID, vendor invoices, etc. All of this information has been provided multiple times.

Apparently PayPal does not consider a contract with our vendor for over $80,000, links to our website, details regarding the conference and activities, sponsorship forms, Invoices and down payments for conference materials to be satisfactory, or they can only understand transactions involving eBay sales. Copies of Bank Statements and Form 990 Tax Filings are also of little interest to PayPal since they are really only interested in seizing your funds and hoping you just let them have them. Or possibly incompetent employees who have no idea what they are looking at or how to verify certified financial records. Of course, they are more than happy to collect their fee from the nearly $50,000 in sponsor payments received thus far, and then prevent us from accessing the money so we can actually pay the expenses and obligations of the organization without a single complaint, or refund request having been received.

What a mistake it was to think we could use PayPal streamline the payment and registration system for what has been a highly successful conference and not-for-profit organization for the last 5 years until now. After going through all of this, they now state they usually hold sponsor funds until a week after an event takes place! The venues, vendors, speakers, and service providers will certainly not wait a week after the event to take place. If you run a not-for-profit do not ever, ever even consider PayPal as a business partner. They will destroy your organization and steal as much of your money as possible.

I did try everything, no Drivers License, no Passport, no utility bill, NOTHING would be accepted by paypal to confirm my identity. I complained with the BBB and they permanently play a game of ping pong between customer services departments. Department USA says to contact department Europe and department Europe says to contact department USA. They use the fact that they have an international presence to play a permanent game of hide and seek. Except the game isnt funny. I simply cannot use my account nor access it and the customer service will do nothing apart from redirecting me to another department that will redirect me straight back to them...

I am incredibly lucky to not have had money with these guys. It would have been permanently lost. It's amazing these guys simply can't be bothered to verify another piece of ID than what they set their minds to. I've never seen such a thing anywhere else. As someone who now has business, I consider myself lucky, being locked out before I used them for commercial transactions is better than being locked out while having money there. Everyone beware. You never know when paypal will permanently lock you out of your account. This is simply not acceptable they are twisting laws and use the fact they're not declared as a bank to ignore the most basic customer service requests. I dont even understand how this is somewhat legal but apparently it is! I shouldnt have to fight to access my account when I have a lot of ways to confirm my ID. This isnt normal. So I call my bank and my bank says it seems like it through Paypal so I'll have to contact them. I then call paypal and the first representative listen to my story and said they can help me with the refund and transfer me to a ACCOUNT SPECIALIST WHO NOT SO SPECIAL.. He ask me what kind of money did I pay my order with...? I got offended so I told him maybe from his bank? He then continues saying that I was a fraud when he got my info to get into my ebay and paypal account...I ask to speak to his manager or supervisor and he chuckles and say "we'll see if you can get me fire...." So I waited...He came on the phone minutes after speaking politely that his supervisor is there by his side and for me to wait a moment...then no one came on the phone...PAYPAL IS NOT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...with this "Account SPECIALIST" attitude is not so smart in position..too stupid. Don't recommend anyone to PayPal.

Made a purchase off a site I never used before and purchased a dog item. The site was called Bonanza and received email from Bonanza the next day, telling me that the dealer was no longer with them. They advised to deal with Paypal if there was a problem. Paypal already took my money. I checked with the USPS with the shipping number I was given and it said it was delivered. I never received it. Contacted USPS who said it was delivered to another address and under another name.

The item said it weighed 5lbs and should of been less than 12 ounces. Found the dealer deals in snowmobiles and changed his name several times. I was unable to get onto Bonanza again. I put in a dispute with Paypal and they refused to handle the fraud. I always thought I had protection with Paypal and learned they will only take your money and you're on your own if a fraud happens and you lose money.

Read this before buying Ebay and pay with Paypal. I bought a iPhone and in 25 Hs. I got an email from Ebay that my item was successfully delivered. I never received anything. The seller was new and gave Ebay a false tracking number. Ebay informed Paypal and there I was about to pay for something I didn't receive.

I called FEDEX 4X and gave them the track#. They said to me that the number provided came from Walmart, is not in my name and it was delivered in a different address. What it takes is someone from Ebay or Paypal to call FEDEX and confirm that it is a scam. They didn't do that, instead they denied my claim 4 times. I am trying again. The seller was removed, the item post says it was removed, but NO ONE can remove the 594.24 charges in my Paypal credit. IDK how the seller got the tracking number from Walmart and Ebay believed without a shadow of doubt.

But they said the items had been sent and gave me a tracking number. There was no record of an item with that number. They asked me to allow 35 days for delivery. It was over 50 days. Seriously, What reason would you accept?. Now I don't feel secure using PayPal.

There are other issues that you don't give an opportunity to address. I tried to cancel the order. They asked me not to cancel because it had been sent. The tracking transaction number replied there was no record of a package. I contacted the company again. How fraudulent do they have to be before you will act. They did not honor any of their responsibilities. I had not opened the package but in talking directly to one of your representatives she said to open it and if there was a discrepancies in the description I could resubmit my complaint. Why is it not enough that they are lying and wheedled their scheme into putting me into a position that I could not cancel. Your reasons for disputing are too narrow. I tried to cancel. I wanted to return it. The day it came it was left at my door. I had no opportunity to refuse the package. I was working. Believe me I would have. F

They finally said they were dropping my dispute because I hadn’t sent in the police report. I’ve worked with other companies who have been wonderful and given me a refund when I hadn’t even asked for it. This one was REALLY legit and nothing. I originally thought hard about making a purchase, but went ahead with it when I saw that it could be transacted through PayPal. I very much regret that decision. PayPal did not insist that the seller answer my specific question about the value of the goods, which determined, according to their own policy, whether they needed to be returned or not. They also backed down when, in direct conflict with their own return policies, insisted that I return the goods to China, even though they had been shipped from New Jersey.

As it turned out, it was going to cost me $125+ to ship the items to China via UPS, or $80+ by USPS, in order to obtain a refund of $50. And that is where the question of whether the goods were considered to be "High Value" comes in -- how could they consider goods that had been discounted by more than 75% to be "High Value", and thus have to be returned? PayPal has failed me, and I will no longer hold the PayPal name to be synonymous with buying security as I once did.

PayPal gave each shipper a the same shipping address that was not my home address but the address of Home Depot in a town near me. I checked both my default shipping addresses on both Etsy and PayPal and there was NO incorrect address. So I contacted Etsy and they said whatever address PayPal gives them for shipping for each item purchased is the address the seller uses to ship the items.

I contacted PayPal and they said they found some "hidden" addresses that they deleted. They wouldn't acknowledge that they made a mistake or explain what those hidden addresses were and why they were being used as the default address. I still have many questions for them and waiting to hear back but I am pretty sure I won't get an apology for their screw up.

If I wanted to order the missing pair it would be $18.99....that didn't sound fair to me...just send me the missing pair as the order clearly stated 4 pairs of Trump hair socks and I know you have them because you are still selling them on your website. The company only responds by automation. PayPal told me that I had to return the product to China to get my money back. This is how the scam works. The product costs $25 but it costs at least $30 to send it back to China. PayPal told me to take pictures and get a tracking number. I took pictures of everything but the post office said that they do not provide tracking for China. I had to use the customs number for tracking. I assumed this was adequate. Today I was informed that I chose the wrong shipping service. I should have used DHL or UPS and not USPS and my claim would probably not be accepted. If Paypal wants a particular shipping method for returns, they need to state that from the start and not after the fact.

While PayPal is actually making $$$$ from each and every transaction one makes via them: they have a lot of loopholes in the system that only annoy customers.

To start with: they ask more questions than a police detective investigating a crime. Despite one providing the correct email address and p/w: they keep on telling the customer that is wrong. The same applies when one answers the questions: wrong but, they are actually right. If one wishes to tfr $ that is credited in one's account: well, just trying to write the applicable amount (usually the lot as it is NOT clever to leave any credit with PayPal) - it is kind of impossible. PayPal is an American companY: hence if you decide to send them messages: long time to reply and, in many case by incompetent Customer Specialists (!).

If one chooses to phone them from Australia to get a problem sorted out (and a problem due to the many loopholes in Paypal) - well, you will have to wait for a long time and get out of your mind listening to the repetitive and boring music. Eventually a person from either Pakistan, India or Bangladesh answers the phone: this person is polite but, has no idea on sorting the problems in PayPal's system. In brief: PayPal thinks is King Kong and treats customers with no respect of any kind: do we need PayPal? Certainly Not.

Paypal is also linked with Gumtree and Ebay: getting plenty of $$$ but greed ...yes, greed has no end for some of their low calibre. I had sufficient UGLY experiences with this company: so, from me: ARRIVDERCI: do not need any aggravation from this company and my time is very very valuable. I can pick and choose where my $$ goes: I GOT NO $$ FROM PAYPAL AS I AM ...LOUD AND CLEAR "THE CUSTOMER".

The first associate informed me that the refund would not be available for one billing cycle, 30 days. Which is unacceptable as the purchase was deducted directly from my bank account, the refund should have been directly deposited. Uncomfortable with the policy I returned to the merchant to void the transaction, same day as the refund. The merchant was more than helpful and willing to assist me however, paypal had already accepted the refund and the transaction couldn't be voided.

I was advised to call paypal again, and ask to speak with a supervisor. I did so, and was informed that because the purchase was originally made in 2018, the refund option was no longer available. Keep in mind, the return from the merchant had already been processed. The over $600 refund was now in no man's land, and would NEVER be returned to me via paypal. Regardless of the time lapse between purchase and return, the merchant accepted my return and paypal should have accepted the refund. Instead, I spend my evening trying to locate MY money, not paypals. In the end, the merchant rectified the situation and will continue to recieve my business. I have already deleted my paypal account, that I've had for over 7 years and warn others to NEVER use paypal. Completely unacceptable business practices.

I made the mistake of ordering a steel pan drum off of Facebook in November for a Christmas present. The site appeared to be domestic company and they advertised receipt by Christmas. I ordered with PayPal so I felt assured that if it was fraud I could get a refund. Boy was I wrong about PayPal! I opened up a dispute with PayPal in December when my attempts with the merchant rendered the same generic response over and over. The email claims the item was shipped and directs me to download an app to track the package that is phishing software. Unfortunately further research into the company and the app they direct you made it very clear I had been ripped off by a company ripping a lot of US consumers off.

First and foremost, the PayPal resolution center process is difficult to navigate and I am very computer savvy. They make it as difficult as possible to challenge a charge. Then they take 30-60 days to provide a resolution ruling. After two months of no reply from PayPal, in spite of attempts for an update they ruled in the favor of the Seller without so much as an explanation. Mind you I still have not received the item four months later! At this point even if it was coming from China (which is deceptive and still reason for me to receive the protection PayPal promises but does not deliver) I should have received it.

I've opened the dispute with Amex who I have every confidence in. The point of this review is I always felt "safe" when ordering with PayPal. It advertises that they will give you consumer protection against fraud, etc. They do not do any of that. They are purely a money intermediary that makes an actual dispute process take 3x as long, with 3x as much aggravation, provides no communication and literally does nothing to protect you. I do not recommend this service if you think it gives you a layer of protection.

Problem is, it may take up to 6 weeks. If PayPal does this to many of us, just think of all the "interest" they make off our money before they are forced to return it. If you use PayPal after reading this, good luck to you. I will never use them again.

In my experience, PayPal doesn't have fraud protection. Or, this business is taken advantage of so much through fraud that they're overwhelmed and have no way of realistically protecting their customers. You can dispute a charge through the resolution center, telling them that the activity is fraudulent, but you'll never hear an actual representative apologize for the inconvenience of having over six hundred dollars unexpectedly removed from your bank account.

They don't care that over 100 other users have posted complaints about the same vague "VZWRLSS" charges that even Verizon Wireless has no idea what to do about. IF you call and jump through their hoops of an automated phone system dedicated to avoiding their customers, you might find a way to get a representative that is unsympathetic to your situation. Of all the accounts and debit cards I've ever had (a dozen, perhaps) PayPal has been the biggest headache, and it happens yearly. I'm strongly advising my friends and family to avoid it. If your frustration or research has brought you to this honest review, I hope I can save you the headache, too. Horrible fraud protection, terrible customer service, awful surprises, and the worst experience I've had with a payment processing company.

Paypal places a hold on Money for new users. This seems perfectly fair right? Sure you hold my money until a day after the shipment arrives, ok. Also cool. Then when I go to transfer the money into my bank because duh I want to spend it... Nope Paypal places a second hold on the transfer. They say another 72 hours to review it after it's already been held for 2 weeks. Seriously? What is wrong with them? If I have already waited and the buyer has no dispute why hold the money further? I say it all adds up in interest for Paypal so having a policy where they can hold millions of dollar for days means more to paypal bottom line. This is obviously the reason. Nothing else is plausible.

I called PayPal more than once to fix this obvious fraud. My name is Louis and the name on the account now is Hilda with same last name. PayPal could not verify me over the phone because I could not repeat the entire fraudulent telephone number. I cannot even close the account without the other person's verification. PayPal’s only fix is for me to use another email address and open an new account. That is not going to happen, especially with all the other options I have to move money around. Bye, Bye PayPal.

Their goal is to keep passing the buck and proclaiming it is your fault. My case was simple. I ordered something and didn’t get it. I contacted PayPal. They contacted the seller. Seller sent a tracking number, no other information. I waited. Site said item was delivered. I contacted the post office. They said the tracking number was addressed to someone else, not me. I contacted PayPal and told customer service and explained everything again. Next day I got an email from PayPal that my case was closed because item shows it was delivered. I am out 102 dollars to those idiots. I am still fighting PayPal for them to do what they promise they would do on their site. I would highly recommend you stay away from PayPal. I purchased what was supposed to two Daiwa BG4000 fishing reels advertised on Facebook. The price was quite good and I thought it was a new customer price to get online users. A month later I get a package with Chinese writing all over it. I opened the package to find two knock-off no name reels with 3000 painted on the spool. They were obviously cheap and certainly not the size of a BG4000. I notified PayPal immediately by phone (after a 22 minute wait) and opened a complaint. After 10 days I called and was told PayPal was waiting for more information from the seller. I asked what information and was told they din't know but if I would accept a 25% credit I would be able to keep the reels. I said, "No, I want my money back." They said to call back in 5 more days, which I did and was told I should not have been told to call back. The PayPal person said I could send the items back to China but that shipping was on me.

Meanwhile, I had already complained to the company I bought the reels from and they sent back an email stating they would not accept send backs unless pre-authorized by them, not by PayPal. I emailed PayPal with that information and received an email from PayPal stating that PayPal wanted more information from me. However the email didn't say what information. I called PayPal and they said they didn't know what they needed exactly but someone would contact me. Today I got another email from PayPal saying my case was rejected and closed because I didn't supply "tracking information". What???? I didn't supply what tracking information? I was never asked to supply ANY tracking information. So now PayPal has favored the fraudulent Chinese knock-off seller and I am sure will continue to do business with them as usual. I'M DONE WITH PAYPAL!!!

They send me a link to reset my password {which I've tried about a dozen times- no exaggeration), which then does not allow me to reset it because they say I owe them $56. They then forward my call to an "affiliate" (debt collector). After thinking I'm on hold with this company (WWW.ACIBILLPAY.COM) they tell me to go to the website and make my payment. I go to the website to see what it is and they want me to login. I have no idea what this site is, if it's actually legitimate. It asks for my login and Social Security number which I don't even need to explain why I won't supply. I am trying to login to my account to see what this charge could be but I am locked out and the circle begins again.

I've tried calling the number on the back of my card which seemed hopeful at first but then got the same result. I've read other complaints where they at least get to talk to someone. I cannot even get that far. Prior to getting this PayPal Credit, I had no issues. I've used PayPal for years. But, the fact that I cannot even get a person on the phone is so incredibly frustrating. I am not disputing this charge, I need information to do that. But I cannot get any information. I also have since had money deposited into my PayPal account which more than covers this charge but am still locked out. I have moved twice in the last 3 years and cannot even update my address to get statements or correspondence from PayPal. I cannot understand how PayPal can be so successful with a non-existent customer service department. Who is PayPal's competition? I bought a cell phone through Swappa and paid for it through Paypal. Part of my payment came off of my credit card attached to Paypal and the rest came from my Paypal balance. After receiving the phone that was advertised as BRAND NEW, it was discovered that the phone was not new, but was a very poorly done, refurbished phone and the battery swelled and pushed the screen off of the phone after 2 months of use. I tried to deal with the seller directly and they refused to help. Seller instructed me to take the phone for repair and gave me the names of local repair facilities to take it to.

Next, I messaged Swappa and they didn't even reply so I began a dispute process. My credit card company refunded the portion that was charged through them after I sent over documented proof that the phone was NOT NEW AS ADVERTISED. It was plain and clear evidence from a third party (cell phone repair facility that the seller told me to take the phone to for repair). I sent the same documentation to Paypal and Paypal refused to help me, stating that I had extended use of the phone over the 2 months since buying it and implied that my "extended-use of the phone" is the problem. The tracking information provided didn't work and showed the item had been shipped. The seller responded to paypal saying that they were behind. Why the seller couldn't respond to me for 17 days, I don't know. When the item arrived 45 days later, it was not what I ordered. It was a cheap vaguely similar product to what they showed on their website. So I escalated my Paypal claim to "Not as described". The seller's first reponse was that they didn't send the wrong item. So I attached pictures of what they sold me compared to what I recieved.

The second and subsequent reponses were the same, "We would like to offer our apologies and provide you with a refund of $7." The item was $110. I refused and asked for a full refund or to be sent the actual item. Paypal Resolution Center, sent me a address to send the item back to. The item was sent from California and the return address was China. Shipping the item to China was $190. I checked the address and it is a fake scam address in China. Where the company can say they didn't receive your item and then you are out the cost you originally spent and the shipping.

I provided the details of the scam to Paypal, with other people's reports, ripoff alert websites, and that the cost of shipping back was so much more than the item. Paypal said they would review the information. In the end they decided in favor of the scam company, because I didn't send the item back. Paypal has knowling helped companies defraud their customers. Their buying protection is a joke and they don't administer common sense before closing dispute cases.

    1) Purchased a camera for a good deal, newer company, so assumed they were attempting to get established by getting traffic. After 10 days or so reached out because I hadn't received any feedback. PayPal reached out and at that time I did get a tracking number. Great. When the package arrived, it was a 3"x 7" set of stickers. I reached out to paypal again, and since my initial correspondence was because of no tracking info, had closed the case. I modified the case to fraud, since the seller obviously was running a scam. Paypal again closed the case because I had purchased a product and received a product.

    2) I purchased a video came. I reached out several times the next few days attempting to get a tracking number from the seller. After complete silence, I reached out to Paypal and they got the tracking number for me. Again, great. Well, I got a notice that UPS had delivered it. I looked everywhere, so called UPS to report a lost package. After some back and forth, they asked what address it was supposed to be shipped to. The address they had was not my address. I hoped to find out where so I could perhaps go get it, but UPS said I need to get that from the seller. Again, no word from the seller after requesting again several times. So, I again reached out to paypal for support. They again closed the case because the seller had shipped and UPS verified delivery. Again, it was not my address they delivered to.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of support after attempting to indicate they have buyers protection.

They ask you to file reports with the local police, the FBI, and the best part is they do it with some ** algorithm so there is literally not a single human who catches the situation early enough to say "oh, wow, ok yeah, open and shut". But PayPal was very absurd to force customer to use PayPal's exchange rate which is outrageously high. This was totally unreasonable. Also during payment no options was given to select which Currency we will be charged and what exchange rate PayPal is offering. It was ok previously using the older PayPal system. But now it's worst.

I believed PayPal to be a trustworthy service until I had an issue with an item purchased from an online site Canvasinhouse.com. The item purchased was misrepresented on the website and when received was nothing like the online images depicting it. I opened a dispute to which the seller responded. I had to provide images and a short description of why the item purchased was misrepresented and how it differed from the item received.

I must have won the dispute process because I was to receive a full refund if I sent the item back to the seller. However, when I purchased the item from canvasinhouse.com, the website says it's a US company based out of a place called Maryland, Florida, which come to find out doesn't exist, and who claims to have a warehouse currently located in Oregon. However, the item was to be returned to Vietnam, according to PayPal. The return shipping was going to put me, the buyer, out around $75 dollars. The buyer is always on the hook for return shipping with PayPal, regardless of the outcome of the dispute. So PayPal is supporting a scam business run out of Vietnam which sells greatly misrepresented products and hides behind the PayPal dispute process, making it impossible for the scammed buyer to ever be fully refunded.

PayPal should be ashamed of their business model and supporting such a scam company as canvasinhouse.com. All they are doing is making it easier for online buyers to be scammed by malicious and phony online companies that are only out to take you for your hard earned dollars. PLEASE heed my advice and pay with credit cards that are only used for online purchases. Those transactions can be disputed and you will get ALL of your misspent money back. PayPal will only leave you with an empty wallet.

I also contacted Uber and the credit card company which was linked with the account. Next day I received a nice 6 emails from paypal telling me that all the cases that I disputed were denied.

Fortunately, Uber and the credit card company returned the money that was stolen but paypal refused because the payment were authorized (according to their emails). How in the hell my payment were authorized and I disputed the transaction. I was really disappointed in paypal way of dealing with the situation. I am not trusting to put any of my financial information on their website or even use them to settle any transactions. This wasn't the only way I tried to dispute something on paypal. I purchased an online item that didn't arrive for over than 30 days so I reported the incidence to paypal and same scenario happened. My case was denied by paypal. If your purchase is not covered under their 'buyer's protection' rules, you can get scammed all you like and you will maybe get a reply and never get your money back. Yes, it is convenient to buy things in a click, but most things on reputable sites can be bought with credit card. If you're buying something from someone, just do it locally and use cash, because the convenience is not worth the risk of losing hundreds of dollars when anything can be done to stop it. Like blocking the scammer's account, reversing the payment to return the money, or at least warning the public about them. They charge fees on most transactions, but there is little to be gained in return but irritation and debt.

I've been a loyal PayPal customer for over 15 years but unfortunately ended up having my account locked and my money stuck with PayPal for 180 days for no reason. I am a legitimate customer, sending money to myself through PayPal and then transferring that money to my US bank account in order to pay my credit card bills and make some investments into stock and been doing this since I started living abroad in 2007 without any issues or questions from PayPal but all of a sudden in January 2020 my account got locked with my $300 stuck there for 180 days and without any real alternative.

Prior to Christmas I made a number of online purchases and paid for the through PayPal. Three of the purchases were not received in time for them to be useful to me. I attempted to cancel the orders with the merchant and with PayPal. In mid-January two of the orders arrived, one arrived damaged, and in spite of my protests that I no longer needed or wanted the merchandise PayPal denied my claim and closed it. Once they close a claim there is no appeal, it is final. On the third claim I still have not received the merchandise I ordered on 12-14-19. I have asked the merchant and PayPal to cancel the order. PayPal's response to me is that the merchant will now have until February 5 to respond. Had I used Visa, MasterCard or American Express for these purchases there would have been no issue in cancelling them and receiving a credit.

PayPal knowingly does business with fraudulent companies and leaves the buyer holding the bag. You get absolutely no support from this unethical company. I have since removed all of my payment credit cards from PayPal because I don't trust them and I can't wait to entirely part ways with them which will be at the conclusion of my third claim. Stick with the credit card companies. PayPal is unethical.

I was so surprised to read so many bad reviews everywhere about Pay Pal! Honestly, for some reason, I always thought they are pretty cool. This month was really crappy, because I made a purchase in a scam web store twice! I filed in two disputes which turned by myself really quickly to the claims. First seller didn't want to reimburse the full price (I bought a dress for 51$ with shipping and they want to return only 17$ after I will ship them an item). After I said no to this, they didn't want to give their return address in English. The other seller was especially ridiculous. They put lots of items on their website and after you purchase it, you'll never get an e-mail notification, tracking number or anything. Literally you are just sending someone money on their PayPal buying fake stuff. Both of this purchases where reimbursed for me with Pay Pal in full amount. Yes, I called 3 times to them and the last operator whom I talked with solved that in 1 day, after I was waiting almost 3 weeks. So, I am here to write that help is possible. And I've heard: "We are doing that to appreciate you are a Pay Pal client, ma'am." Thank you!

It all started with a cancelled payment and ended with a closed account. I sent payment to a friend but canceled it literally an hour later. And sent the money to another friend. Two days later the money from the 1st friend was taken from my account (no big deal) but the 2nd payment was sent as an echeck and also taken from my bank account. I spent hours going through the resolution center with no help so I called Paypal, 5 days straight an hour or more on each call with no answer until the 5th day. I went through 4 reps and had to get verified EACH TIME!!! Still I did not get upset or cause a fuss.

After 6 days still my friend did not get the money but again I'm being asked to submit documentation to prove my identity. I did (government issued ID AND SSN card). Now I was hesitant to do this because it's my SSN. Anyone can steal my identity. But I did as I was asked. Day 7 friend still gets no money so I attempt to resend the money. Nope can't do it because my account is blocked. 3 days later and over 5 hours of wait time and being verified twice I finally get someone. They unblock my account and tell me to wait two hours. Ok now I'm able to resend the money. 3 days still they get no money. Both amounts have been withdrawn from my bank account but still no money.

Now out the blue my account has limited access and is now requesting I send in my bank details (bank statement), change my password and send in ANOTHER copy of my Id. I do as I'm asked no problem. What threw me over the roof is 3 days later I get an email saying "unfortunately we closed your account". Huh?? Why?? Over two weeks my friend still has not gotten the money and you have over 2k of my money and my friend still has not received the money. I'M SO DONE!!! I absolutely HATE PayPal. You steal my money, make me send my whole life plus blood to prove my identity, verify me over 4 times over the phone and then you close my account a week later.

I have had a PayPal account for almost 15 years. But I learned an expensive lesson. My brother and I both purchased, separately, tool sets from a seller. The seller had a website with very good descriptions of what we were buying. When I saw the "PAYPAL' logo, I made a bad assumption that PayPal wouldn't put their service on bad businesses. Instead of tools I was sent a pair of cheap sunglasses. My mistake was thinking PayPal is as good as a credit card from a "Bank". It is NOT. My brothers bank already had the company listed as a scam and replaced his money immediately.

I on the other hand went back and forth with PayPal. After over a month, they requested I return the cheap sunglasses to "China". They claim to provide return shipping information, however, they never supplied a "Zip Code" with the fictitious address. You need a zip code to even get an estimate, let alone actually shipping. Which I was told by the UPS store, would have cost me almost $200.00 to send back the Cheap Sunglasses. My refund was for 209.85. So it was useless to send back. PayPal denied my claim. They sided with the scammers. I closed my account with them. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!! PayPal is as bad as the thief's themselves.

PayPal!!!! PayPal!!!! What a joke!!! I sell a few items on eBay. I have done for about 8 years, nothing major. However I have 100 percent positive feedback. Never had a dispute, never had any negative or even neutral feedback, so effectively reliable.... But pay Pal, what an absolute joke of a company. They more often than not put my payments on hold. Coming up with the excuse that this particular sale falls under unusual and suspicious behaviour!!!! This leaves me having to fund the postage out of my own pocket until they release the funds. I mean suspicious or unusual! WHAT ARE THEY ON ABOUT???

They are then supposed to release payment to you 24 hours after the item is delivered! This never happens, forcing you have to ring for them to release funds!!. They give the same old script every time you contact them. They refuse to budge or listen to reason! Iv told them about my 100 percent positive record but it falls on uninterested ears! They still list the fact they're holding my funds under suspicion behaviour/ selling. This has a huge knock on effect for postage costs, for buying additional stock and so on.

I would go far to say that PayPal are the worst company that I have ever dealt with. They have a hold over your selling on eBay. That is oppressive and unfair as it's near on impossible not to use them for selling on eBay. I can't understand why they are allowed to hold onto your funds when you've sold an item? And then for 24 hours after it's been delivered and signed for? I mean you don't go into Tesco, buy biscuits and tell them you're holding onto the payment for a couple of days?

If it's a new seller then yes I understand until they prove their reliability and the fact they're not fake sellers, I get that. But I've been doing it years with not one problem. I've proved myself but they still go through the fact they have to show I'm not a fraudster. Lol 8 years, no complaints, 100 percent positive feedback!!! This excuse wears thin about the 20th time they hold onto your funds. But you can't tell them. They will not do anything. If you can avoid PayPal DO SO, especially when selling.

They make sure they take their payment out straight away though whilst your money is on hold!! That kind of contradicts their excuse of holding onto it due to suspicious unusual selling!!!! Their never goes on hold!!!! Worst company out there. Absolute disgrace the way they treat people. Another big problem is that PayPal will not care about all the negative feedback as you HAVE to use them for selling. This should never be allowed to happen that you don't have choice!

I purchased a gas grill at Home Depot using PayPal for $444.40. I also purchased (at the same time) an assembly fee of $117.99. The total amount I purchased at Home Depot (via PayPal) was $562.39. When it arrived, the grill was damaged, so I returned the grill to my local Home Depot. Home Depot almost immediately refunded the $117.99 assembly fee but never refunded the $444.40 for the grill. I let PayPal know I was disputing the full amount of the grill ($444.40) since it was never refunded and provided them with a copy of the refund receipt.

For some reason, PayPal did not catch that I had two transactions at the same time with Home Depot - $444.40 and $117.99 for a grand total of $562.39. So, when they looked at my disputed amount of $444.40, they credited me back $326.41, which is $444.40 (GRILL) - $117.99 (Assembly fee). THIS IS WRONG. So after trying to get them to understand the idiotic mistake they made and failing, I lost faith in PayPal and decided to let my credit card resolve this for me. However, PayPal wasn’t done complicating this for me.

When they gave me the $326.41 credit it hit my credit card. When they reversed the $326.41 credit it did NOT hit my credit card. Instead, when I log in to my PayPal, I see a negative balance for that very amount. I spoke to PayPal and they said I can give them payment over the phone using my credit card or any method to get my balance to zero. The problem is my credit card noticed the $326.41 credit from PayPal and added that to my credit card balance. So, if I settle my account with PayPal, I will lose $326.41. I honestly cannot wrap my brain around their incompetence. They have caused me so much grief and this is still not sorted out over two months later.

The seller refused the return so I contacted Paypal who asked me to send photos and they approved the claim, subject to me returning the item to China at a cost of £13.50. Paypal said I would be refunded upon receipt of the item by the seller and I submitted the tracking information and photos of the parcel to Paypal as instructed.

However, instead of paying out, Paypal closed the case with no explanation saying tracking information hadn't been provided. I sent them their confirmation email thanking me for the tracking I'd sent. I checked the tracking with Royal Mail and the item was successfully delivered to China. I tried with much struggle to contact Paypal for an explanation but all I can get are standard email responses from their foreign customer service department not addressing my complaint and saying they can't re-open it. Not only did I lose 50USD on the original purchase, I then lost a further £14 because Paypal instructed me to send the item back and they didn't honour their word or their protection policy. Don't use Paypal - they don't protect you. Use your credit card instead.

PAYPAL has always been my online payment method of choice until recently I noticed they have no support for buyers. They rule in favor of sellers and could really care less if you are supported. On Nov 11 I purchased from an online company called Hyping. The purchase was for $111.70 for 3 items. After a month of no communication and no item I reached out to the company. I finally received a tracking number and received my delivery on 12/22. When I opened the package there were only 2 of the 3 items I purchased. Upon further investigation of the items 1 of the 2 items was supposed to be a Men's XXL and at best it was a Child's large.

There was no way it was usable. When I logged on to Paypal to dispute the charge I noticed the transaction was for $119.70 not $111.70 as I agreed to. So at this point I am out $83.80 and Paypal sent me a request for a "police report" to resolve this issue. I have spoken to 2 representatives from PayPal and they still ruled in the sellers favor because I could not provide a police report. This is the most insane I have ever seen and now I have to dispute this charge with my bank. Paypal doesn't care about any buyer only making $$$. It's a shame that things are this way. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PAYPAL TO ANYONE!

Just had an horrible experience with PayPal: my tenant paid her rent through PayPal but PayPal does not release the funds under the pretense that the tenant use the business option and although her funds are cleared they made me verify my ID, took me through a series of contradicting and confusing steps and a week later I still haven’t got the money. My advice. Use Venmo, Zelle, check, anything is better... I had not used PayPal for a while and I realized that they are now very archaic especially if you get amounts over $500. Am appalled by their lack total of transparency combined with poorly training of their reps. Stay away from them. Don’t make my mistake!!!

A friend I have worked with for more than ten years asked me to work with her on a proofreading job. She paid me and PayPal made me wait for more than three weeks so I could transfer the money to my bank account. After a few more weeks, PayPal sent me an email saying that my friend had opened a case against me because she didn't recognize the charge in her card. I talked to her and she had no idea what this was about. I called PayPal and they said I do owe this money and my friend's bank was doing this. Also not true.

Later, PayPal let me know that they had added a $20 charge because I wasn't paying my balance. Now they say they have a fax from my friend's bank... Not true! I can't use my account anymore because of this balance, and they keep sending me emails saying that I owe them money. They won't listen to me. They won't show the fax (non-existent). They won't listen to my friend or her bank. This is ridiculous. I've used PayPal for many years, and now I feel attacked by them. As soon as this is solved I will cancel my account. There is no way I can trust a company that attacks clients this way. This is the worst customer service I have seen in my life!

Attention all small business owners! BEWARE of PAYPAL! PayPal has implemented a “new policy” that they are keeping ALL processing fees if you have to void or refund a transaction. This is extremely detrimental to merchants, especially small businesses. PayPal allows you to transfer money to friends and family which is not subject to fees. I had someone accidentally click goods and services (this was not a good nor a service), I reversed it almost immediately, and PayPal kept more than $200 in fees. I called December 12th and 20th and spoke to agents both times; no one got back to me. Today (January 9th, 2020) I called (again) and spoke directly to a supervisor. She told me it is their policy and under no circumstances will they return any fees.

To be clear: whether or not it has anything to do with the friends & family option, PayPal will keep ALL fees from transactions including voids or refunds or mistakes (such as someone paying an incorrect amount, a computer glitch, whatever). If someone accidentally paid you $1000, for example, instead of $100, you will be stuck with the fees from the $1000, plus whatever they take if you rerun the correct amount.

Square does not do this, if you have to void or refund or whatever they simply reverse it. No cost to the customer or merchant. If you need to transfer money to someone (that is not a good nor service), Zelle allows you to transfer money instantaneously. Again with no fees to either person. Zelle is being implemented by many banks/financial institutions and is very easy to use. We rarely have to void or reverse anything, but now that I know PayPal’s “new” policy, I will no longer use them for business or personal transactions. There are far too many better options. Their customer service is truly atrocious. What a waste of time. Good riddance PayPal. ????

I have been using PayPal for many years now and always trusted them and had good experiences with customer service on the rare occasion a false charge or scam was made. Today I cancelled all my paypal subscriptions and am closing my account. 3 months ago I switched banking institutions and over time moved all auto payments to the new bank. YouTube Tv was being billed to Paypal and I switched my Paypal online purchase options to a Credit card and put in my new bank account info as well. I also went to YouTube TV settings and changed the payment method to the AMEX card. The old bank account was still used by Paypal the following month so I went into the app to try to delete it. Paypal would not let me delete because "payments were pending".

Even after the payments cleared my bank, the Paypal app would still not allow me to delete the old bank account. Paypal again charged the old account which resulted in the balance falling below the minimum and the bank charging me $10 service fee. I had to call Paypal Customer service to finally get the old bank account removed (after about 20 minutes on the phone). I asked for Paypal to reimburse me the bank fee since they incorrectly charged the Youtube tv subscription to the wrong account. They said they would send my a letter to forward to my bank explaining the mistake. I said no my bank was not at fault PayPal was!

The customer service lady (who did not speak well on the phone) accused me of lying. She said I did not change my primary payment method and I told her I was looking at the app on my phone and the primary method was listed as my AMEX card. She then told me that the update did not work in the APP that you had to go online from your computer to make changes....sooo actually she called me a liar and Paypal is not telling their customers that you actually can't make changes in the app even though the menu says you can and it shows you DID.... There are too many other ways to pay now. Good Bye Paypal!

If you purchase from companies that use Paypal you expect these companies to be legitimate, that PayPal would have done a little background to make sure they a legit. So made 3 orders and used Paypal so I would have some protection from scammers but when I waited for my product never came so I wanted a refund. The company's website was taken down. No way to contact directly so they contacted paypal. They said they would look into it. While I was waiting that said I had to wait for two weeks.

Well then I was sent a comb a light and so some plastic car. It wasn't even close to the 3 plus dollar I ordered. Well Paypal after getting a tracking number that this company quickly send when paypal called stalled me and paypal then just because paypal saw it was delivered closed the case the. I can't reopen the case and now I am screwed. Even after I told them that said read your contract. Who reads that **. Every body just clicks ok, you can't say no. If you do you can't use their site. We should be able to write our own contract and they would have to say yes if they want our business too.

In other words they took side of this company that I can't contact because they have since closed. Their website and I am sure opened a new one till enough. People complain and have to shut down before they will have to pay people back so. In other words paypal supports companies that will rip you off. So do your own research before you buy from any company. No longer can you expect paypal to protect you from scammer and in my opinion They encourage it.

I also provided them info that vendor shut down site and other sites complaining on same issue with vendor. After shipping and providing Paypal all the documentation on the shipment. they closed the case after 20 days in favor or the scam site Flipped.store. I was never refunded on the cost of the gimbal and out $35.00 USD. I will be canceling my paypal account and think I get better response from my credit card company. As a Director of Customer Service in the luxury fashion industry for over 55 yrs I know a thing or two about excellent vs the bottom of a sewer tank when it comes to customer service. I spent over 9 hrs over the course of 3 days on the phone with their brainless customer service dept to simply add a new cc to my account that I have had for decades with Pay Pal. I am NOT asking for money I just want to add a new CC to my account. My bank confirmed all my info is accurate, I have been living at the same address since 1961, I have used my new cc for over 2 weeks multiple times, have added it to over 3 dozen sites I do business with - no issues what-so-ever.

I get to Pay Pal and wham problem after problem. I was disconnected 16 times to have to start all over again, I was laughed at, I was told my cc is invalid but no reason as to why, I requested 4 times to have a manager call me which NEVER happened, I even went to my bank and had them talk to PayPal and advise them that the info is accurate, I was told a manager was not around (since when is a manager not on duty in a call center...LOL), I even had Eric # ** tell me to take my business elsewhere. Imagine that!!!! A loyal customer for decades basically being told to F off over adding a CC to their account.

The reps are in the Philippines, cannot speak proper English and have very heavy accents. Do not have ONE brain cell among the lot of them. They have a beyond frustrated customer on their hands and NOT ONE OF THEM cared to escalate my situation to someone who could actually help me...it was easier to disconnect me. Talk about a company who does not care for one second about their customer base. NEVER in all my life have I run into such a disgusting display of inadequate service and trust me I have been around in my over 65 yrs of living life. This company deserves -10000 stars. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN

It was for services rendered. Why would there be a hold on the money owed to me. This is after they charged me 5 dollars for using them!!! I also work in a call center and see almost weekly where PayPal is hacked and customers calling us because they say PayPal will not help them! I will NEVER use them again. Also while at my work I will strongly urge the customers not to use PayPal when placing an order. My client can send over funds to PayPal and they not get processed back to the customers until 30 days later!!!

I recently purchased 3 dresses on-line and received an awful turtleneck and an ugly pair of shoes that smelled like a dead animal had sat on them for weeks. I would post a picture of the hideous items but this website capability doesn’t allow it (or at least I can’t figure out how to). I called the customer service and they filed a “dispute.”

What’s unnerving is that when I was further investigated, there are actually many other complaints about the same website. I understand there are protocols but to what extent do you give a company time to respond when it’s already been verified (Based on multiple other customer reviews) that said company is not actually real/providing customers with random rancid items they did not order. I would like my refund back now. My suggestion would be that when a company gets 3 complaints against them, they should be shut down. That way less people at risk from being conned from the dishonest people that do these things.

Shortly after I had my morning coffee I signed on and found $1,100.00 was paid to someone I never heard of. The same someone I denied payment to twice. Now Paypal has twice refused my claim and the only advice they offer is to contact the FBI, they are not taking responsibility for making the payment that I twice denied. If you have an option don't use Paypal.

I started to use PayPal a month ago because I wanted to use them to get paid from customers that like to use their cards instead of making checks with cash or checks. The first customer paid me $800 via PayPal and a month after I haven’t seen my money and every time I try to talk to them they put me on hold for hours and never come back to me, if I do it via text or chatting they say that the system can’t do anything and that I will need to wait a month. I talked to my customer to see if we can get the money back but that’s also impossible because they already got the money and don’t want to give it back. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A WAY TO DO BUSINESS STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL. I’ve been in business for over $20 years and this is the worse company I ever dealt with. Bad customer service and very fishy.
