On Mon Feb 18th, I purchased a 6 piece wicker patio set for $151. I received a confirmation email and the money was deducted from my back account. On Tues Feb 19th, I received an email and a text telling me that my order was cancelled. I replied to the text asking why. The answer I was given was “Due to a price error”. I was told to call customer service. On Weds Feb 20th, I made a phone call to customer service and the gentleman I spoke to said this was an issue several people were having. He was going to investigate and call me back by 11 am.
By 4:30 I had not received a call so I called back. The lady I spoke with was very nice and said she was going to create an incident and escalate the issue and get the answer. She said she saw it was a pricing issue and agreed that isn’t my problem and it shouldn’t be cancelled. She stated that I would receive another call from the first gentleman that day and a firm answer within 2 business days. I didn’t receive another call. On Friday Feb 22nd, I Looked on the website and sure enough there is the item I purchased on Monday but priced at $740. It had a different name - as they added the manufacturer to the name and a new item number.
I called in again to get an answer. I was told by a rude individual that they should have just told me the item was out of stock and that was that. I told him that I could see it online. He told me that I need to clear my cache because it’s out of stock. So I told him what I saw and he said that it’s different because the item number was different. The picture was the exact same. I used the chat feature on their customer service website to ask a question. I asked what was the difference between the two item numbers. After several incorrect answers about cushions - the individual stated that the only difference between the two is the warranty - one has one and the other can be cancelled. This is all been pretty shady. It looks like the patio set was priced incorrectly and when overstock realized that they cancelled the orders then waited a few days and put it back out there for the correct price.

Overstock contacted me to say my new rug scrubber was delivered, somehow it was lost or delivered to the wrong address. After a week went by they said they delivered a second one. This one also did not find its way to my house. Finally when I complained that I didn't receive the second one, they closed my account. I've always paid my bill early and many times paid way more than the minimum due. I also had a huge limit available that was not maxed out. I am one of 4 houses on a quiet country lane. Things get delivered to the wrong address. Even though I stated that I had not received the item, they charged me and decided to close my account. What an insult that was. To my surprise, after all the fuss, someone finally delivered the scrubber. Please note: If they say it's shipped, and you do not receive the item, you will still have to pay for a lost item.

I placed an order on 2/13. When I received a confirmation email none of the pieces I ordered matched what is showed on their website when I ordered. I immediately called to cancel the order on the phone with a live person on 2/13 because I first tried to do this via chat but they were too incompetent to understand what I was asking for. The lady on the phone said she canceled my entire order. Then on 2/15 I received a text stating my order had been shipped. I immediately called back and was told they would contact the warehouse and stop it. One item gets delivered and is thrown on the edge of my driveway in the pouring down rain. No one signed for it. Now I am battling with Overstock for them to return the $2700 they charged to my card. I will absolutely never use this company again. The customer service is a complete joke. I spent about 4 hours on the phone and multiple emails and texts.

We ordered a pair of nesting end tables. While one was defective due to a screw hole left undrilled, that wasn’t our biggest complaint. When we unpacked the glass tops we noticed a large sticker which said that the product exposes one to toxic chemicals including lead. While Overstock was willing to allow for return and eventually agreed to provide a mailing label not to be charged to us, they were unconcerned that no one is told of this information in advance of ordering. They explained that there is no legal obligation to do so unless the product was purchased in California. No longer an Overstock customer!

The bed itself is pretty nice, but a few of the wooden slats and plastic connectors broke. Good thing I paid extra for a 5-year warranty, right? WRONG! The warranty info on Overstock's website was outdated, so I wasted so much time trying to submit a warranty to a company that my warranty policy wasn't even with. I talked to multiple customer service representatives who gave me the names of different companies and different policy numbers - obviously incorrect information.
Finally, I was pointed to the right company, and they denied my claim because I submitted it too long after the damage occurred. Yes, because I was wasting my time dealing with Overstock for so long. I contacted Overstock about this issue and every day I just get another customer service rep who promises that they're working on the issue and I should hear something within 24 hours. So far I've been told that I need to submit a warranty claim with that company...which I obviously already have. It's as if they're not even reading the history of my interaction with the company when another customer service rep takes over. Overstock is fine if you're just buying something that you're fairly confident will not land you in a chat with their incompetent customer service. However, for that reason alone I would never buy from them again.

It's nice to deal with honest caring people. Real people not robots. This is by far the best outlet online. They are with you from start to finish. Excellent products and total satisfaction. Problems are resolved hassle free. Did I mention friendly. They actually call you on the phone to verify your satisfaction or any concerns. Folks-- these are the people you want to deal with.

I ordered two mattresses and they were suppose to be delivered by the end of the week but the day before I got an email that they would not show up until the next week. So I canceled one of the mattresses. Come to find out that both were returned to the warehouse and I am being charged for the shipping on both mattresses. I have the conversation saved of saying I still wanted one of them and they still said that it was my fault that both were returned. They seem helpful but they are just looking to take your money.

I brought a side sleeping pillow, it wasn’t delivered until I disputed the transaction with PayPal. The pillow arrived after 2 months and is not what I ordered. It is child size and made from some cheap material that feels horrid. They say they offer 100% refund guarantee however I have to pay to have it shipped to USA. They are also asking for the packing slip which never came with the parcel. This company is a scam and I would highly recommend never dealing with them!

I am very upset with Overstock, for one I called to make sure that they would set up a delivery with me when I would be home, they assured me this would happen. It did not. I came home late from work to find my new coffee table sitting in the snow at my front door. I live alone and had no way to get into my apartment and nobody to help me. It could have been stolen. Horrible business practice, they didn't even call or email to let me know when it was going to be delivered. It was just ordered 2 days ago and I had no idea it would come that soon.
I tried to get it into my apartment myself and could not. My sister also ordered me another table and I am afraid the same thing is going to happen. I am mad that I was lied to when I called with customer service telling me they would set up a delivery date. I will never order with them again or any online company who just drops off shipments with not making sure the customer is home first and what is convenient for them.

For whatever reason, Overstock doesn't have it where I can leave a customer review on their page so I will be leaving it here and every single other potential avenue possible along with the necessary bureaus. My husband and I purchased a pressure cooker back at the end June 2018 from Overstock. We have had pressure cookers for 8 years now that we use at least 5 times a week. Needless to say this one we got hasn't last but about 6-7 months and it's already not pressurizing right and losing pressure while cooker. We reported it to Overstock and the manufacturer to which both companies are not helping.
Mind you we not only are under a 1 year manufacturer warranty but we also have an extended warranty that we PURCHASED and PAID FOR from Overstock. The manufacturer states they do not have any replacements in stock. It's been 2-3 months we've been "waiting patiently" as requested and still today were told to please be patient. Um excuse me, I've been patient for months! I use this 5 plus times a week and it's starting to be very very annoying not having it, especially considering I'm supposedly DOUBLE COVERED on this damn thing. Overstock is NO better! They aren't helping, providing alternative exchange options, refund, absolutely nothing. Yet I have two warranty coverages!? WTF!
I've always heard people talk about Overstock having great customer service. This is FAR from great customer service. I receive better service from my local McDonald's! What did I buy an extended warranty for and purchase from overstock if they aren't going to provide any help and coverage? Terrible customer service and I will be continuing to fight this until everyone knows and I have a resolution. Do not buy from overstock, especially not the extended warranty, complete garbage and worthless waste of money!

I ordered a jute rug and it began to unravel immediately. It was also streaked in coloring. I paid around $400 for this rug and it was definitely not worth it. When the knots unravel, they cannot be fixed leaving holes in the rug.

Worst online shopping experience. When I researched the product Overstock price was very competitive what made chose that website to order the item. There was no info about delivery time frame. I place the order hoping will take no more than 2 weeks. Took 4 days for the order to be process, they send me note my item was shipped but I could not track the package showing me as item not found. I contact customer support they answer was to wait 1-2 days for the tracking number. There is more than 10 days no answer. Now they say to wait 4 weeks because is an oversize item. There is no competitor that may take that long.

I received an email in the morning about a product that I had been looking at. It advertised the item for $144.99. Later the SAME day, I clicked on the direct product link from the email and the item was $210.99 when I put it in my cart. I reached out to Overstock about the discrepancy. They claimed that the advertising department sets pricing and that it's up to the consumer to check pricing frequently. This seems fraudulent, and certainly at the very least, false advertising - particularly since I visited the site within hours of receiving the email.

Purchased a pricey Diane von Furstenberg Black Wool Wrap Coat from Overstock. This long coat is ridiculously tight in the shoulders, you gotta order two sizes larger than shown. Got a return authorization and shipped it back to seller who still has not issued the credit. Quite frustrating! A month later they refuse to credit my account forcing me to submit a chargeback request with my card issuer. OVERSTOCK DOES NOT HAVE CONSUMER RECOURSE OR OVERSIGHT OVER THESE UNETHICAL VENDORS! Buy elsewhere or get screwed like we did.

I purchased furniture from Overstock. I used the option to pay with progressive leasing using the 90 days payment option. This is very important. You have to schedule your payments. Make sure don’t exceed the 90 days otherwise you would pay double in “small quotes”. Don’t do it. Pay it soon as you can and make sure you schedule it. I give 3 stars because I have charged the 1st payment and I thought maybe it would reflect in my balance. Well it doesn’t, but it is okay. Everybody needs to make money, but I find out it is a little high than what I expected. The purchase total + taxes are include in Overstock. “Careful with this” + 8%...it is too much. Do not exceed your budget. I try with and small purchase. So now I know better. It is convenient but it is really necessary all the extra stress? I don’t think so. Good customer service but read the small letter. It is the best you can do.

Was sent damaged furniture twice. I bought this and the fees were not matched up with the holes. I rigged it up so it was usable. Since it was big and impossible to repackage Overstock.com offers to keep it with a $125 discount. They refused and sent me a new one which was damaged and I am now struggling to get that one back in the packaging! Not sure what to do with the first one. They knowingly send damaged returns to other people! I will never buy from them again.

If I can give 0 stars I would. They mess up more times than not on merchandising as well as billing. They make NO attempts to redeem themselves to keep your business. They offer an apology for an inconvenience and move on. They've made their money off of you so they really don't care. Obviously, I will no longer patronize them and have cut my card up. PLEASE BE SURE TO CAREFULLY GO THROUGH YOUR BILLING STATEMENT!! They will pull a fast one and will make no attempts to rectify.

OVER A MONTH TO GET HERE AND 4 DAYS BROKEN! This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Greedy company!!! I have called, texted and emailed. They have done nothing over a month for a boxspring. And I call for them to take it back and they haven't and the carrier have done nothing. Just buy on Amazon. They have a better customer service. I hope they go out of business. What a joke!

I buy a lot of stuff online. I get that there can be issues. But Overstock.com's incompetence takes the cake. After paying nearly $500 for this table, I wanted to know when it would ship. For a week, the status was "processing." So I started a chat with customer support. Simply put, the agent could not tell me when it would ship. So he made up a date, 6 weeks out. Then, a few days later, I get an email saying was shipping, a month ahead of the original day. Good news right? Well... I had to contact a "logistics" company to set a date/time to ship. So I did.
A day before it was supposed to arrive, the logistics company called to say it did not arrive in my city, and I had to call yet again to reschedule. I called, got put on hold for over 10 minutes, then hung up. Will I ever get this table? What shape will it be in when/if I do? They did give me a 20% off coupon for being a new customer. Was it worth it? NO... Fingers crossed. I'll update this review if/when I get my table. What a pain. This is THE LAST thing I will ever buy from Overstock.com.

Today I ordered some kitchen chairs. Approximately 30 minutes after ordering I found another design I liked better. I sent a message to return the item. I had NOT received any information that my order was processed or ready to ship. The person discussing this with me then sent me a message that I cannot return my order because it is processed and “ready” to be shipped. I order online all of the time and I’ve never been so disappointed with customer service. My request is very simple and easy to take care of. This experience is clear about the value that overstock.com has with its customers. I will NEVER purchase anything from here again.

I recently made a purchase in Overstock.com for a reclining sofa. I live in apartment complex on 3rd floor with 15 stairs total. Overstock.com has CEVA Home delivery and local shipping vendor to deliver their products. The Overstock website had one option only for delivery "at the door" and I purchased the sofa with extended warranty. The local shipping company called and mentioned that they can only deliver on ground level in the parking lot. When I called Overstock, they charged me $9.99 promising that it will be delivery on my door on 3rd floor. After 2 days, the shipping company mentioned that they can only leave at parking lot and I called overstock AGAIN who charged me $24.00 for delivery in the "room of choice".
After 2 days, the shipping company said they will deliver only at the ground level. Please note that I didn't have ANY PROBLEM IN PAYING EXTRA FOR DELIVERY but Overstock had poorly worked with their shipping partners though I mentioned specifically to clearly explain to them. It has been a week and so far not even close to any resolution. No one takes any ownership to communicate and handle this. I no longer will ever purchase from Overstock.com.

Ordered two area rugs. One of them was fine and looked as promised. The other one did not look as good as on their website and shed a lot. Contacted their service department and asked several questions including whether I would be refunded for the return shipment costs. Their response led me to believe that I would be and never indicated that this would be a sunk cost. They are now refusing to pay for the shipping costs, which was about $100 on a $272 rug. They won't even issue a store credit. They claim that I am returning the item on customer remorse reasons, which is clearly not the case. Service may be courteous but they are extremely deceiving. Moreover, they never answer all your questions and concerns, regardless of how concise your wording and questions are. They just placate you and answer one of the questions. Had a bunch more items to buy, but NEVER AGAIN. Good luck dealing with Nora ** and getting worthy service.

I received a ring with loose stones. I returned the ring and called them to make sure that they have received the ring. They said they have and I would receive a refund in three to five business days. A week later, they act like they cannot find it. I text them and I keep getting the runaround.

Ordered a mattress, approx $400 after discounts. 1-4 weeks delivery promised. Item was at local delivery at 2 weeks. 1st delivery called 30 minutes out, then no showed. Could not get ahold of anyone to resolve that day. Come to find out that the delivery company they used was in receivership and very carelessly going through reorg. They were not reachable. Next day, set up another delivery for the following day. Deliver was not correct item and in the process the delivery company lost items. Overstock and delivery company were unresponsive after several attempts and days. Finally got ahold of both, and another week went by with no answers to where my items were.
At the 4 week mark, and after I took 2 half days off for a delivery that never showed up, I was out over the amount of the item ordered in pay. They offered a full refund, which meant now I was out the item, 4 weeks of time and sleeping on a couch for 2 weeks, plus more than the item in pay, or 10% off a reorder. They refused to expedite, meaning another 1-4 weeks. Awful customer service, awful at delivery. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN FROM OVERSTOCK.

We ordered a bathroom vanity with countertop. Vanity is great. Countertop arrived broken. It has taken 6 weeks, 8 emails, 2 online chats, 3 phone calls to get a tracking number for the replacement top - which will now arrive two months after the original. Customer service people are polite but completely unresponsive. I will never shop this site again.

We ordered queen size bed sheets on Dec 17 with a promised delivery date of Dec 22. Shipment lost in transit and Overstock is dragging feet on resolution. The original shipment label was found to be illegible in-transit and a re-printed label caused it to reverse direction and head back to NY (after already having been in Massachusetts). The shipment has been handed off from FedEx to USPS (supposedly the local post office) and is still (3 weeks later) lost in USPS in Brooklyn NY. I've repeatedly asked Overstock to cancel the lost shipment but they will not cooperate. They want to wait until it's delivered before refunding any money -- and no one knows when that'll be.

Devastated! I am building a new house and found the perfect rug on Overstock. The day before it was scheduled to arrive, I get an email stating there is an error and the rug is no longer available. It was my first and last order on Overstock. When I ordered it, it stated 3 were available. My credit card was charged. I see now that this isn't a new issue for Overstock. I closed my account and O membership. I spent a long time researching rugs and when I went to order my second choice, it was gone! Not worth the frustration.

Bought two office chairs that were supposed to be delivered on 11/27/18 for a Christmas gift. On 12/26/18 my order was still not delivered, so I contacted Overstock via chat and they said that they will get back to me within 24 hours, well as expected no one got back to me, so I called today 12/31/18 and I was told that my order was out of stock... (not at the time of purchase). Yes they will refund my money that they collected for over 30 days, there was no apology about the trouble (very unprofessional customer service). I also asked about the discount that I was given at the time purchase (Black Friday) for a future purchase, but I was denied. This is not even close of what their CEO states about the company. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!

The painting I bought was over 80 bucks, the painting looked nothing like the picture. When I called them they told me I had to pay over $16 (a 20% value) just for shipping back. A new unused item! Since then I have refused to buy anything at Overstock.

I ordered furniture with an expected delivery date of about 8 days out. I called to inquire about the reliability of that date. I was told it should be within a couple of days of the published expected date unless there was a problem, in which case I would be notified. This was important because the apt lease/move in was not until just shortly before the delivery date given.
I get a notification 2 days later that all the items have shipped a week early and will arrive in 2 days. I called customer service and was told they could do nothing and I should call UPS. After almost 45 minutes UPS finally tells me only Overstock can make changes and any request would need to come from them. I call Overstock back and tell them this. The woman tells me she will delay the deliveries. I get a notice the next day that one item is on the truck for delivery and the others are arriving the next day. I call Overstock back. They tell me they will need to get back to me, and that UPS will leave any packages outside the building regardless. I tell them that if there are any fees involved with UPS holding the early shipments I will pay them.
I receive an email from Overstock this evening telling me that they are unwilling to have UPS delay the items and so will have UPS deliver them all outside an apartment building in another city that we don't live in. They are unwilling to take the packages back from UPS and sorry that I paid several hundred dollars for items I will not receive because they shipped them out a week early. And then added "have a great day!"

I only put 1 star because it won't let you put none. Total fiasco! I bought an Acer 24" 3D gaming monitor for my fiancée's son as a Christmas present. It was to be shipped to his mother. Received confirmation of the order and thought that was taken care of. Passed on the e-mail notice to him that I bought it. Big mistake it turns out (maybe I should have researched this company better and noted that it gets so many one-star reviews on its service). I will never buy anything from this company again in my life! Whatever modest savings you may get on their (used) product will not be worth the days and hours of screw ups and agony they will put you through.
Just because I ordered them to send it to my fiancée and not to me, days after confirming my order, they suddenly cancelled my order without warning or explanation on Christmas Eve, and then put me through 3 days of hours on hold and repeated disconnects just to find out why let alone to learn how to fix it. Customer Service (Joel) told me they get complaints about this all the time.
Apparently, although this is a company that boasts taking Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (not exactly over-worried about identity of buyer & recipient are they?), a simple credit card purchase in the US for my fiancee who is literally just 5 minutes drive away requires an enormous bureaucratic process and the umpteenth-degree of verification. Although they don't mention it anywhere in the order process or pre-shipping confirmation e-mail, they will at some point later text you from an unidentified number that you need to call the anonymous sender to ''(re)confirm your details'' and if it's not answered promptly, because they wanted to go on holiday break a few hours thereafter, they will just send you notice without explanation or response that your order is cancelled. Looks just like any phishing text or email, so common these days.
So after three days of grief trying to get this fixed and hours on hold & endless loops with no progress, finally I get to some insulting & unprofessional moron named Alex at Loss Prevention who after asking me to confirm my email and shipping and billing addresses, put me on hold twice, hung up on me twice, and last time around, demanded I send him photocopies of 3 gov't issued forms of ID through a special method of which I had never heard. Why does he need all the details to steal my identity?
I had had enough of the B.S. Loss Assurance Dept and Overstock.com's over-kill of its customer. Never again! I bought many other gifts from major companies around the same time with the same card and details and everyone else managed to fulfill my order just fine, without the nightmare these people put me through. There is no excuse for running a company this badly! BUY FROM SOME OTHER COMPANY OR YOU'LL GREATLY REGRET IT!!!

I placed an order on Dec. 20th for a ceiling fan that was $199.99. On Dec 24 it went down to $171.00. That is 4 days later. I called customer service and they said that price was not showing in their system. WHAT? It absolutely WAS that price. He kept disagreeing with me. I told him it was that price after a coupon and he said he could not apply it. I am livid. I asked to cancel the item and he said it was processing. Keep in mind it is not even expected to get here until Jan 8th. I order online constantly and have NEVER had issues like this, not to mention the turnaround time. NO one takes this long to ship. I will absolutely never buy anything from this site again.

I bought a pair of boots from Overstock.com, I also signed up for the Club O Rewards which would allow me to return items free of charge. Well be sure to read the very fine print on that promise! The free returns are only on certain items, which I was very upset about, but decided it was my fault I let them squeeze that in and not notice. So I paid the shipping and sent back my very inferior boots. But I was so fed up with feeling like I was being tricked by yet again by another company with fine print loop-holes that I felt the need to write a review about my experience.
Well, Overstock.com saw my review and called me to say "Well you've had a bad experience and we want to make it up to you." The customer service lady apologized for the fact that fine print was missed by me and reimbursed me for the shipping and would pay my Club O membership for a year. And I'm thinking "Now that's great customer service!" So very much not the case. Not only did billing take back my shipping fee when my boots were finally credited to my account, It took at least 6 times of me calling and explaining IN DETAIL this same story so that they can credit my account correctly, that I finally just gave up and wrote off that shipping fee.
I have never been so frustrated at a customer service department in my life. I, for the life of me could not understand how they did not get what I was saying about this reimbursement. They just kept transferring me back on forth. Sometimes to the same department. Well, I've lived and I've learned. Do not order again from Overstock.

I ordered a toy for my grandson for Christmas from this site and paid extra than I would have from Amazon because the site stated it would arrive by Christmas. Lies!!! I received tracking and it won’t arrive till after Christmas. I contacted customer service and they would do nothing about it. They could have expedited the shipment but they don’t care. They care more about their margins than satisfying or improving their customer service satisfaction. I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering. Will never order from them again. Worst service ever.

I put in an order, paid extra for shipping to have it here for Christmas, said it would be delivered by Dec 21... LIES, now I am not getting till the 27th. WTH am I supposed to do on Dec 27th? I bought this item and it didn’t fit correctly. Called to return and they said it was from a “drop shipper?” And had no record of purchase. Therefore, I am stuck with item. They said next time I order call direct and they will make sure it will be refunded. Won’t be a next time.

It appears to be company policy to not issue returns upon receipt of the return but only upon contact from the consumer and proof that the item was returned (via tracking #). The company forces you to contact them and provide the confirmation number of the return. Luckily I kept mine but I know not everyone is as lucky. KEEP IN MIND WHEN ORDERING AND RETURNING.

The 9' X 13' rug that I received from Overstock was not as described or as pictured. The website would not allow me to initiate a return and I was informed that Customer Service would contact me about the return. Customer Service promptly emailed me and asked for information, stating that they would follow up on the return in the next 1-2 business days to provide me with updates on the return. I promptly replied. Now, more than a week and 6 emails later, no one has responded to with instructions about the return and there has been no follow up. I am stuck with a very expensive rug (>$500) that I cannot use with apparently no recourse.

After spending $400 for a rug, I was notified 36 hours later they canceled my order. When asked why it was canceled, they said it was low on stock when I ordered, and then they ran out so canceled it. But, I could order again now as they had more in stock (this immediately after I responded to the text about the canceled order). Seriously? I never received a shipped notice, so why cancel? Why not just send it out now that you have the inventory? Very poor service, and will never order from them again. No bone offered, just bad service.

We ordered a bed from Overstock on 12/4/2018. It came on time however was missing the main part. We called customer service every day until today to get an update on the missing part. Each time we were assured a callback which never happened. No one knows what's going on and can't give us an update on our order status. Worst company to buy anything from. It's just a money making scam.

I purchased a large item with interest deferred when paid in full in 24 months. Every month I open my credit Account Summary page to view: Minimum Payment Due, Statement Balance, Scheduled Payments, Available Credit. Today I opened my credit account page to see my balance over $800.00 higher. I opened my detailed statement to find out that 6 days prior to today, my 24 months was up and I needed to pay off item, approx ($800.00) to avoid the deferred interest. I understand the agreement, but I'm very upset that Overstock Did Not email me a reminder AND they Don't have anything about this on my Account Summary page! Wouldn't you think this would be a good thing to have on my account summary?
When I called them, he kept on repeating that it was on all of the detailed statements emailed to me. WTF? The Account Summary page has all of the monthly information that I need. Why would I need to look at the detailed statement? (Except for when my balance increases over $800.00). I receive nearly 100 emails a month from Overstock offering me specials and discounts, but they can't send me ONE reminder of an upcoming event that will cost me over $800.00? Anyway, they refused to let me pay the balance to relieve me of the finance charges they added on 6 days ago. I cancelled my card and will take my future shopping elsewhere. SNEAKY CROOKS!

Overstock.com is a company with no integrity. They fail to act on anything and their customer service people do not have a clue. They only tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone. Absolutely no follow up or responses whatsoever by phone or email. Once they have your money, you fail to exist. While on hold you hear their CEO talk about his company being the "best in customer care" on the internet. He is must not read any reviews or is completely absent from all company business. However, since Overstock doesn't participate in the Consumer Affairs Authorized Partner Program, I assume they don't want to be bothered by the truth and the fact that they are failing their customers. Their shipping company is as bad or worse. Will never do business with them again and suggest no one else should either. They do not deserve any stars.

I am not going to lie upon ordering from Overstock.com. For my first time I was very apprehensive. I spent about a week looking at reviews online and trying to find all of the information I could about this company as I had never order from it and I had previously used Wayfair although I took the plunge. I ordered a $200 carpet from Overstock and it came within, I’d like to say five days, and I have been extremely happy with the way it turned out. The quality of it, the texture, overall. Everything about the rug is beyond my expectations. I’m a verified seller and I highly recommend Overstock.

I purchased the Colonial Rocker. I first have to say the product arrived very timely. Then when I opened the box, I had no hardware or instructions to put together. Have tried for 5 days to get hardware sent. I cannot even get a return call or email. Very disappointed in their warranty/missing parts dept. Will NEVER purchase anything coming from them.

Purchased sofa, a day later I received an email stating 6 weeks delivery, but that was not revealed in product description. Overstock also charged credit card instantly. Wrote review, there is a 3-5 business day wait if approved before posting it. Talk about editing feedback. This day & age should not take 6 weeks for freight. I guess instead of Overstock, they are drop shipping from China. I've received items in less than 6 weeks from China though elsewhere. I suggest contacting them directly before placing order and check on delivery times of an item.

I ordered a mantel with the electric fireplace (looked very nice online). I receive my package, took everything out and was almost done assembling it just to find out it was completely wrong from what I ordered. Called customer service and they emailed me my instructions and my return label and asked that I return the 100 lbs box and 45 lbs box myself to the nearest UPS store. They sent me the correct order, after I take everything out and start assembling it I realize that it’s broken. DEBBIE just told me to put the box outside my door and that she would send someone to pick it up and that was it. I was NOT given any information regarding a confirmation number/return labels. It sounds like it will take a while to get my $719 refund back, SMH???

I have had two experiences with Overstock. The first time I ordered a $90 item and they cancelled my order and after some prodding told me they needed to verify my identity. Ok, fair enough. Their method was pretty extreme in that I had to send them a copy of my bank statement, a copy of my ID AND a photograph of me holding my ID! Amazing. But I did as requested and sent it in and eventually got my order released. I found that form of verification a bit extreme as this was Overstock the merchant running me through the hoops, not the credit card issuer (Comenity).
So a month later I choose to order another item that is fairly expensive. But I have plenty of available credit on my Overstock credit card to cover it, so I figure no problem. WRONG! Again my order gets cancelled and now they say I can't order the item because they want to see me have more time with my account?! What?! If I have a credit card with the available credit to make the purchase, why should they care what I order or for how much? Keep in mind this is Overstock Loss Prevention Paranoia department, and not Comenity Bank asking for and doing this. They basically tell me to use a different credit card or take more time and gain some experience with my Overstock account.
Now I am sorry, but after I proved to them beyond a shadow of a doubt who I was and that I had a valid credit card with the proper amount of available credit, WHY on earth would they tell me I can't buy a certain item with my credit card and I need to develop more time before they will consider me buying an expensive item?? Again, this is NOT the card issuing bank telling me this! This is the merchant, Overstock and their security department that clearly is staffed by buffoons! Never again will I consider shopping with this company. Cancelling orders when there is plenty of credit and identity verified and the item shipping to the billing address?? I am beyond words with it. Complete fools!

I wanted to order a quilt for my daughter's new bedroom and found one that I really liked. The price appeared to be pretty good with free shipping to Canada and I went to check out and noticed that it was actually quite a bit more with taxes and duties. I thought it was strange that it was the Canadian site and was being charged duties so I held off and tried calling them but they were completely unhelpful and told me it would be shipped from the U.S. thus the duties. It still didn't sit well with me, and why am I paying taxes and duties? Anyway I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase but the next day I decided I'd just pay the extra and order it.
When I went to check out this time, I noticed the price of the actual quilt was lower but they would now be charging me duties, tax AND shipping (the shipping alone was $40!). So now the same quilt I could have ordered the day before would cost even more. I called once again, and they told me they no longer offer free shipping to Canada. Moral of the story is don't bother with this company. They advertise to draw you into thinking you're getting a great deal and try to sneak in a bunch of other charges. Just don't bother. They have zero integrity.

I ordered a watch on Monday at 10:30 am, by 12:30 pm I had determined I wanted to cancel the order. I tried online to no avail. I then called Customer Service, I was then told I "could not just cancel" they had already sent the purchase to the warehouse for fulfillment. My response was to contact the warehouse and cancel the order. They then informed me they DO NOT have a number for the warehouse but rather they needed to send an email request that they could not guarantee would be looked at. (As a side note, this is after two 30 minute unsuccessful live chats.) I was then told I would get an email by end of business on Monday regarding the status. NO EMAIL received!!!
I then called Tuesday morning and again was given the same BS about how they can't contact the warehouse directly and they didn't know whether or not the request was even looked at and again I should wait for an email, which never came. On Wednesday morning I got an email from UPS that a tracking label was created Tuesday at 11:44 am, WHY!!! I canceled on Monday at 12:30, again I called and was told that there is nothing to do but wait to receive the item then send it back! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Now this charge is sitting on my credit card because this company is incompetent. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I order from them. HORRIBLE customer service, useless live chat. I can't wait to get the credit and be done with this nonsense. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I almost ordered a new TV from Overstock but I withdrew while on the phone with customer service. I had experienced several strange false claims and follow through issues from Overstock... I thought it was just strange. When I looked at the reviews I determined it probably wasn't strange but just how they operated. The .ca website says free delivery. I went to the cart and a shipping charge and duty showed up. The site gave me a CYBER17 discount coupon code but then in the cart said it wasn't valid. I signed up for the 15% off coupon with my email address and no coupon ever showed up.
I talked to customer service and no standing behind what is written on their website ever took place. I tried to order from their .com site to ship to the US and it kept bouncing me back to the .ca website. They clearly have a lot of issues but the most important are the false claims they have posted on their website that they don't remove. If they are doing that now you can only imagine what is going to happen if something goes wrong with your order. Not worth the hassle.

I ordered (2) 3.4 oz of Aqua Di Gio and received two bottles labeled it but it smells absolutely NOTHING like it. I didn’t even have to open the box to know because some of it spilled in the box during shipping. It made me have an immediate asthma attack. I contacted OVERSTOCK.COM the day we rec the package to discuss the problem of the “knockoff” cologne and I was told that the item is nonrefundable and that someone would call me in 2-3 days to discuss the matter. It has been 5 days and NO ONE has contacted me. I won’t purchase ANYTHING again from this place!!!

I ordered Phillips Hue A19 2 bulb starter kit on sale. I ended up receiving single bulbs instead. I called customer service and was told they would be unable to replace the item because it was out of stock. Reading on popular deal sites, people who ordered this item also received single bulbs so it was not a random error. I recently ordered pillows from Overstock which were a good price and delivery was fast. I raved about Overstock to my daughter and she went to order a feather/down bed topper which was on sale for $136 which is a great price. When she went to check out they wanted $106 for deliver plus tax plus duty!!! She called and was told Overstock has decided to NOT offer free shipping to Canada any longer. The women (Gabriella) she spoke with in customer service was extremely rude and unapologetic for any changes the company has made! The interesting thing is the tape you listen to while being placed on hold said they pride themselves on being able to offer free shipping!! Bye Bye Overstock... Hello Wayfair!!!

I ordered a product on November 17th, 2018. This was a Clay Alder Home Mahned Dawson Blue and White 8-piece Reversible Comforter Set. I ordered this in twin and checked multiple times that it came with sheets. I received the product and there were no sheets. When I contacted customer service they told me that there was a mistake where you can not see that they don’t come with sheets. I repeatedly told the customer service woman that in three places the title, description, and specs all said that it came with a sheet set. What I had received is the Cathy Home Collection Twin Size 6 pc set. They proceeded to tell me that they can not send me sheets and the only thing they could do would be to refund me money if I returned the product.
I was also offered to buy a separate sheet set to go with it and they would apply coupons to it in order to lower the price to the best of their ability. Why should I have to put out more money for a product that didn’t come with sheets and was the wrong company? I will NEVER buy from this company again. I will not return the comforter set even though I was scammed out of my money for the sheets. I only hope that people will see this review for Overstock.com. Do not buy from this company. You are better off buying from a local store and spending more to get a better quality product.

The customer care at Overstock is atrocious! I was looking to buy a new living room rug, I finally found what I was looking for at Overstock, the rug was listed as a 9'x12' for $47.99. That was the cheapest I found it on the internet. I decided to order 2 of them since it seemed like such an amazing deal! I saved a screenshot of the listing stating they were 9'x12', and I also chatted with customer service before I ordered to check that the listing was correct, since it was such an incredible deal. They confirmed the listing & product number were correct and that I would receive 9'x12' rugs. I saved the chat and placed my order immediately. Well, delivery day comes and I received 3'x5' rugs. They were obviously not even close to the correct size!
I checked my order confirmation, and it indeed said that I ordered 2- 9'x12' rugs. I sent a message through chat, they tell me that I did not order 9'x12' rugs, I ordered the 3'x5' and there is nothing they can do other than offer a refund, even after I shared my screenshot with the product listing. I am nearly 8 months pregnant and absolutely not in any shape to be dragging rugs out to be returned. They set up a UPS pick-up. Okay... but I still want what I ordered and paid for, which is 2- 9'x12' rugs. So I called customer service- they had me send copies of all the info I saved and said I would hear back via email. Again, "sorry, nothing we can do about it, the listing was incorrect". Sorry, but that is not my fault!
This is 100% a mistake made by Overstock! I should be sent what I ordered, not just offered a half-hearted apology. Had I ordered from another company, they would do what they could to correct their mistake and ship me the 9'x12' rugs I ordered at the price their website listed. What happened to the customer is always right??? I did my part, I triple checked specifically to avoid any confusion, now I will not have rugs for my Thanksgiving dinner I am hosting.
Overstock is not to be trusted and it is an awful feeling that you cannot order anything in confidence from them. I am so disappointed that they virtually made no effort to correct THEIR mistake, other than offer a refund and tell me that I can purchase the correct listing for a 9'x12' at an almost $400 mark-up. I have already taken my business elsewhere and ordered the same exact rug, 9'x12' size for nearly $70 cheaper than they have listed. Word to the wise, do not order from Overstock they are shady and deceitful.

I purchased a chair, ottoman, love seat & couch from Overstock.com... They delivered the chair & ottoman at 6 am while I was sleeping, during a rainstorm. They left the 2 boxes on my patio in the rain. Being a single woman who lives alone, I had a very difficult time dragging the chair up my front steps (6 steps). I call their customer service worried they would leave the couch & love seat on the patio. Their customer service rep assured me she sent email to warehouse & requested the sofa & love seat be delivered into the 1st floor of my home. The next day I came home from work & found the sofa & love seat, sitting out front on the patio. I was livid, but defeated. I have to pay someone to help me pull this furniture into my home, and can't get any help until the day after tomorrow. So the furniture will sit out front. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

11/13/18. I ordered some patio chairs and then changed my mind. I canceled the order while the status still said "processing". Overstock's return policy states that a full refund will be issued if the order has not been processed. They are now trying to charge a restocking fee of $111.00 because they say I refused delivery of the item. They were never delivered to me. This is completely untrue! I disputed the charge with my credit card and they are saying that Overstock provided a tracking number showing that they were delivered and I refused the delivery. They had to have manufactured this because it is completely untrue. I will never order anything from Overstock again.

I ordered a futon frame and mattress. I was offered two colors, brown and green, I choose green, I got beige. The frame is nice and the mattress is adequate. When I contacted the company about their error, they apologized and asked if I wished to return it. I said yes but it was not practical. The mattress weighs about 100lbs and was packed in a very large and damaged box. The only way to open it was to cut the box and shrink wrap. They said they could refer me to U-Haul for packaging to return it. There is no way I can lift, or drive it to U-Haul to have it packaged and shipped. I told them I was disabled and they offered a $53 credit not cash as a consolation. I have yet to receive that. They also said they would refer me to parts department for matching pillows their gift.
When parts got back to me they said there were no matching pillows which is what I told the first guy. They said they called me and left a voicemail, I have no record of either on my phone. They then sent a message they were shipping a new mattress and I have to return the other. I cannot do that so I will have to refuse the shipment if I am here when the damn thing comes. This has been a horrible experience and I would not shop with them again. I think they know when they send something large and sent compact they have the customer under a barrel because we can't ship it back. The other thing that is very bothersome is I now have some kind of cookie they put on my computer that puts a picture of the set I bought every time I make a search and on my Facebook. I get be reminded of the pain many times a day now.

The $158 - 8' x 10' area rug came when promised. To open it we had to cut into box and wrapping. We laid it out, but color was slightly off on one end. It also was buckling throughout. We tried to stretch it, roll it back up opposite way, but nothing worked. I "chatted" with them concerning these issues. I wanted to return it, so they were going to take $32 out of refund for mailing it back through UPS. Then we would have to purchase shrink wrap to mail it since we had to cut into original packaging. So with that added cost, it would be over $50 to return it. NOT WORTH time, money, or effort. I would never buy anything from them again!

I was about to spend over $1500 on Overstock.com on some backyard playground equipment for my daughter when I saw an offer for 18 months no interest when you apply for a line of credit at the check out screen. I applied for a line of credit and was approved. Excited I’d have a year and a half to pay off the $1500 purchase I even purchased their Gold Card Membership also. I anticipated many future purchases.
Fast forward 4-6 weeks later and I get my first bill... with INTEREST!?? I expected to see a giant zero in the interest section. Nope. Over $20 in interest. So I called up Overstock.com to straighten it out. After the usual IVR system run around I finally got on with the credit card dept. A few minutes into confirming all my info I come to find out that indeed that promo offer was NOT applied to my new line of credit. He made it seem like maybe I didn’t qualify for the promo. No. It clearly said with a credit line approval receive 18 months interest free. I was approved. It should have been that simple.
He then said there was nothing more his dept could do for me and that I’d need to speak with the bank that issued the line of credit- Comenity Bank. Really??? It was on the Overstock.com website I was offered that line of credit. Ok fine. So he offered to conference me in to Comenity Customer Service where he would remain on the line silently. I said fine, ok. A representative finally hops on the line and I go through the whole story again with her. She sighs loudly like she had WAY better things to do than hash this out with me. Basically she said from what she could tell that I didn’t SELECT the 18 month no interest option.
What??? Select?? I’m fuming at this point because I definitely don’t recall seeing an OPTION for no interest. I qualified for the line of credit, which included 18 months interest free. Period. Nope. Now it’s an OPTION. I requested as calmly as I could manage for her to FIX the account so it reflects the interest free “option”. No can do, she says. Once the application is submitted that’s it. Seriously??? This. Is. BS. No bank should operate this way. Is that all ma’m? I guess we were done. Meanwhile the guy from Overstock.com was still on the line. After hearing the whole thing... "Is there anything else I can do for you ma’m?" Unless you can turn off the interest calculator, no. No there is NOTHING more you can do for me.
Clearly threatening to take both Comenity Bank and Overstock.com to the Better Business Bureau and filling a complaint against them fell on deaf ears. The could not have cared less that I, one former customer out of thousands, would pay their stupid card off and never do business with them again. Truly a sociopathic company. Lies and deceit being a part of their reputation doesn’t bother them in the slightest. Be very wary of taking out any lines of credit with them. They will bait and switch their promo offer and claim there’s nothing they can do to fix it. A very unscrupulous company with zero morals only answering to the almighty dollar. They have screwed over countless consumers and will continue to without thinking twice.

I ordered a 5 piece dining table set through Walmart, sold and shipped by Overstock. I received my order today, what I received was 1 chair. I called Overstock and they tell me that the listing was wrong. I asked them if they can still honor the set at the price I have already paid and they told me no, that I would need to request a return and they would issue me a refund. I’m so beyond mad. I ordered this set weeks before Thanksgiving so that I could have room for family that is coming to visit. Now I have to wait for a refund that will take up to one week. I wish I would have read the reviews before opening an account with them. I placed an order for a comforter set in October 31, 2018. I received a email my level was created and the other was shipped and I should expect to receive my order on November 6, 2018. Excited and waiting, because I'm re-decorating my room; the package never comes yesterday. I keep checking the tracking number and it is not giving me any information. I finally call customer service and the rep prices to tell me that I most likely won't get it until next week. When I ask why, because the timeline said I will get it Nov 6th.
He said that it takes time to create a label and even though UPS is saying that they have it, they don't. Well excuse me, what the hell is going on. He says once they get it they will create their own label and send it out. At this point it hasn't even left the facility. OMG... I will be canceling my credit card with them and sending the bedding back. I don't have time for the Bs and if this is how it is on my very first order, I can only imagine what future orders will be like. Goodbye and Good riddance. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF BUYING SOMETHING ONLINE! I ordered the bed, two nightstands and the dresser from this set. When I got the half of my order turned out some of them were damaged, immediately emailed them for the cancellation and asked them to initiate the return of the products. And now for the refund of the dresser that I haven't even gotten yet they tell me that I have to pay $165 for the returned shipping.
After talking on the phone for 10-15 their employee was trying to find a sentence where he could find something to persuade me that they have the right to demand that $165 from me. Now I can't be sure that the dresser isn't damaged as well that's why I don't even want it to get to my house. Besides the fact that I didn't like their bedroom set because it wasn't the same as the one in the picture, I also want to return it because of the poor quality. The drawers won't open and close properly, the wood isn't smooth at all. Why do I have to pay for something that I don't like at all, is damaged and has very bad quality.
Their return policy confuses people, on the one hand it says that the buyer won't get a full refund if the boxes are open, on the other hand it says that if you return the product without inspection then he/she has to pay a shipping charge. I'm going to share my worst ever experience with everyone so that they don't have the same experience and the hard time like me. And I'm going to complain everywhere possible to get my money back completely because I don't want to lose money because of their furniture which is damaged and with poor quality.

So I placed my order online October 29th for two laundry decor items. I receive my confirmation #. Go to bed. Wake up next morning I notice two charges. One that was valid for $63 and another one for $33. So I immediately call and the rep says, "It’s too late to cancel. You have to wait to receive the order so we can credit it back to your account." I was at work. Couldn’t talk too long. So I call again today 11/5. Speak to a rep. She is basically blaming me saying it’s my fault that I didn’t two orders! Really lady? Why would I do two separate orders?
If shipping is free for $45 and up and not on $33 why would I did that. She basically says, "You have to opened the box and print out a label and return back to us." That’s an inconvenience. I didn’t get a sorry, "I apologize for your inconvenience," or anything. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she says “she’s going to tell you the same thing.” Wow! No customer service. Overstock you just lost a customer. That rep needs more training in how to handle calls. Amazon ships in 3 business days and doesn't question or blame customers. Going back to them.

I purchased some items a year ago and signed up for the Club O membership. Apparently, this has an automatic renewal. Without any warning, Overstock charged my credit card for the renewal. Since this was an odd amount, $21.60, and I never received any notice from Overstock before or after the charge, American Express cancelled my card due to fraud. It's a huge headache to have cancelled a credit card just over an unannounced charge - I thought Overstock's website had been compromised and a 3rd party had my credit card information. I tried to cancel the membership, but Overstock's response? "You're not typing fast enough! You have 60 seconds to type a question!" Then, "What is the order number" (what order?) and a refusal to credit the unwanted charge. Don't use this website if you want customer service.

I ordered through Google Express, not realizing it was going through Overstock. I ordered a backpack for my laptop, got $20 my first order with Google Express. I came home from work to find a notice from UPS that a signature was required. In person signature. Not the one you can just sign the back to leave the item. So I contacted Google Express, and they in turn contacted Overstock. Overstock said they didn't have a signature requirement on the package so I asked that UPS be notified of that. UPS says the sender requests signature. Overstock repeatedly says they did not. End result was even after UPS was notified to leave the package without signature that didn't happen.
To compound my frustration, then UPS lies to me and says the item was sent directly back to the sender instead of being held at their pickup center. Their phone system said it was at the pickup center but the rep on the phone said it wasn't. A week later I get a notice saying it's being sent back to the sender. A few days later I get the email saying it's back at the sender's facility. I wait and wait and wait for a refund. Never happens. So I contact Google Express to find out what the hell is going on by this point and get told you have to call Overstock directly. So I call Overstock to inquire about what the hold up is on the refund only to be told they don't process refunds until you call them. WHAT?! Why would that not be an automatic thing to do when you get the item back?!?! CRAZY.
He also mentioned that the warehouse typically puts the signature requirements on packages. So I told him that was fine, but not to require the signature in person option. That's just overkill. He said 3 business days for the refund and we'll see if that actually happens or not. I will NEVER use Overstock for anything again. Even if it's free, you just pay shipping. That company will never get another cent from me. To top it all off -- even if I wanted to reorder the item after getting the refund, I can't. It's now out of stock. Joy.

Placed an order on 10/15 and then got an order confirmation number as well as an email confirming the item has shipped. Heck, I even got a text message saying the same thing. I was told a delivery date of 10/24, which comes and goes without anything being delivered. I of course call up to inquire about my item and after a bunch of transferring from one person to the next, I was told that my order never actually shipped!! Moreover, by the time this happened, they were out of stock of the item I actually needed.
The item in question was a bathroom vanity that I was planning on getting as I am in the middle of a bathroom renovation. Not having the item will cause a huge delay in the project and is of course a huge inconvenience. I instead purchased my item on Wayfair who is of course a much more reputable and dependable company. Overstock even had the audacity to give me a little bit of lip about wanting a refund immediately. I will never... EVER purchase anything from Overstock ever again. Stay Far, Far away from this garbage company!!

Ordered a mattress with up to 2 weeks to process and 4 to 6 for delivery. Policy says they charge on shipment. Within days money gone from my acct and no word from them. Contacted them and got runaround. Told me still in processing and no shipment date. I objected. After hours of nonsense they agreed to cancel order. Days later agreed to refund my money. One week since promise of refund and still no refund. Don't do business with them!

Placed an order for a mattress set. Not 20 minutes later, after reading their return policy, I cancelled the order. I also contacted them twice to cancel the order. They told me they would do everything they could to cancel it. Apparently, they did not do enough. Two days later, it showed they had shipped out the item I had cancelled. I told them they would be out the shipping of said item because I would refuse delivery. It was for over $1200 so it is now on them. I contacted my credit card company and told them the situation. They will make sure I am refunded in full.

I ordered 2 bathroom vanity lights but I received two hanging pendant lights instead. I called and the customer service rep (CSR) was nice and said she’d send the correct lights right away. She had me write on the boxes of the incorrect lights (some #) and told me to give to delivery driver. A few days later the correct lights arrived, but the delivery person could not accept the incorrect ones b/c he didn’t have “paperwork” for them. He says he would probably receive in a few days and would pick up then. So they sat in my garage for about 2 weeks.
Finally, I got an email from OS saying that they had sent return instructions (they hadn’t) and that if they didn’t get their lights back, I would be charged. A few days later, before I had a chance to handle, I was charged $239. I called and they found where instructions for return had failed to send, but they could not return my money until they received the lights. So they scheduled the pick up, the lights were picked up, and on Oct 13th, I received email confirmation that the items had been received in their warehouse, and my refund was on the way. By Oct 22 I still had not received my refund. I called and they then submitted it saying it would take 2 to 5 business days to hit my account??? Meanwhile I have bills to pay. So frustrating. I will never order from OS again.

I tried ordering drapes on Overstock about 5 times in one day. All I got back was an error message again and again. My shipping and billing address where the same. I tried turning off my VPN. Didn't make any difference. All I got back when I tried to place the order was an error message. It said an error has occurred. Never again. What a pain in the **.

I ordered a blanket from Overstock. No less than 2 days later (and before I even received my order) the price had been cut almost in half! This was my first ever purchase from Overstock and needless to say I will never order anything from them again. I considered ordering the product again and returning the first but Overstock charges so much for returns that it wouldn't even make a difference. They are making a mockery of their customers. STICK TO WAYFAIR AND AMAZON!

I ordered a bed from them through Wal-Mart's website. I received a table. Contacted Walmart who expedited a review of the problem. Overstock contacted me and admitted it was a listing error on their part. The bed was listed at 198 dollars for the black one. They told Walmart I couldn't have the bed because it was unavailable. This was a lie because it is still on the site. Overstock sent ups to pick up the table. I was issued a refund but I now have no bed. One woman I spoke with from overstock told me to pick out another bed and she would see what she could do. They offered a 15% discount. Such a slap in the face. I don't understand why they didn't just honor that price and send me a different color or the one I wanted. They don't feel as if they did anything wrong. I think that kind of customer service is deplorable. Do not shop with them!

Updated on 10/19/2018: Overstock.com does not take any responsibility, stating that the order went thru a third party (?) google express (?). This was a new twist... This was never mentioned before in four previous conversations with Overstock's customer service. STAY AWAY.
Original Review: Ordered three bottles of Dior Addict (pink) for my wife. Paid $245.97 via credit card. The product received was yellow in color, and the scent was different. Immediately called customer service, provided all the information asked for, and was told it would take 1 to 2 days for a response from the "provider." After one week with no response, I called again. Got a line of "company cya" remarks. "Reformulation," "You got what you ordered," "It is a non-refundable product," "the warehouse says it's correct," and other comments. Bottom Line: DO NOT TRUST OVERSTOCK.COM. Never again, I learned my lesson.

I am beyond dissatisfied! I spent one year looking for a table I loved as I had my last table for over 10 years. This is the only table that was exactly what I wanted. I was hesitant as I have never ordered furniture online and was afraid of exactly what I am experiencing now. After reading previous reviews, it didn't seem so bad so I decided to give it a shot. Table arrives, I paid a guy to help me assemble it. After careful inspection, several areas were scuffed and chipped, someone even tried to cover up a scratch with a BLACK sharpie. Called Overstock, they were super apologetic and said they would send another one out. That took another 2.5 weeks before they scheduled the delivery. I was in the midst of moving when they delivered the table to my new house. It stayed in the box until I was unpacking. Big mistake.
I trusted that this table would be better. WRONG. The pedestal on one of the legs is broken completely in half! Emailed and called Overstock again! At this point they should have credited me back my money for a table I haven't been able to use in over 3 months! They said they couldn't do that nor would they take the return as it has exceeded 30 days. Mind you I also have the matching chairs just sitting there without a table. They said all they could do is send me another table. What?! A THIRD table. Also, I am responsible for removing/disposing of the damaged tables they have sent me. I am beside myself and beyond upset. A company as big as this should do what they need to do in order to make this right. Instead, they want to send a third table. I will NEVER order from them again and I will advise everyone and anyone I meet to never order from them...
**UPDATE 10/15/18* 4TH table arrived DAMAGED. They gave me back a credit for the table. I told them they need to have the table and boxes picked up. They said I can just dispose of it. ME. A single gal that can just pick up a table and "dispose" of it. In addition, they said they couldn't give me credit back for the chairs since it was past 30 days. What?! These chairs MATCH the table. I have waited months, table after damaged table and now they won't take the chairs back?! I am so beside myself and beyond disappointed. This entire situation truly is UNBELIEVABLE. They don't give one ounce about customer service/satisfaction. This table is a piece of crap if they have sent me 4 of them that are damaged! Overstock shipped me a bed, and it arrived with double left legs instead of one left and one right. I call and finally get a call back later that afternoon, and am told that CS will be calling their parts department to get me an expedited replacement leg within 1-2 days. I'm told that the parts department will be contacting me. 2 days pass, no word from the parts department. I email and am told it actually takes 2 days for the parts department to get back to me, and then would be more days on top of that for the actual shipment.
The parts department finally calls and emails me almost a week later at 8:30pm at night, offering me 4 different "solutions" that don't fix the problem. I don't respond since it's 8:30pm at night on a weekend. The next morning I get a rude email stating "Since we haven’t had a response, we are going to assume you no longer need our help and we are going to consider this issue resolved." I can only assume they call late at night to hopefully avoid having to actually solve the issue, they probably count on the customer not responding in "enough time" for them to consider the issue an actual problem. Never doing business with Overstock again, completely terrible customer service and I regret not looking at its reviews more seriously because I see that they apparently do similar things like this all the time. I called Overstock after a piece broke off a suitcase I used twice. They told me to call the manufacturer but the number they gave was actually a distributor who told me to call Overstock as they just buy luggage from China. The distributor said to call Overstock again. Overstock said there was nothing they could do. Now I have a crappy broken suitcase. Overstock won’t back the crappy made items they sell. Shame on them!

As others have said, overstock.com has a scam going where, if you call to cancel an order, they say they're going to check with the warehouse to see if they can cancel your order and that they will email you and let you know whether your order can be canceled. They always come back, via email, and say your order is already in processing and cannot be canceled even though their delivery date is still weeks away. I ordered a kayak storage rack and found a better price within a few hours. I called Overstock to ask for a price match or cancel the order and they used this routine to prevent me from being able to cancel. That was over two weeks before the expected delivery date. These guys are a terrible company to do business with and, like others on this site, I will never do business with them again. These tactics are shameful.

I ordered to area rugs from Overstock.ca. The free shipping and returns is very appealing. Until you want to return something. I order 2 rugs because I wasn't sure which I really wanted. I chose one, and wanted to return the other. I had not opened the second, it was still in the original shrink wrap and not disturbed in any way. They not only do not accept the rug to be returned, but they fluff you off with "We will get back to you" over and over. The rug that I chose to keep, is not great, but I needed something fast and I can donate this rug in a couple of months. I would not recommend Overstock to anyone, unless it is to purchase something that you know about and really want to keep. I am so disappointed, I should have paid heed to the other reviews.

I recently ordered a runner rug from Overstock. It took over a month to get to me, and when it did it was too thick so I want to return it. Well in the month since I bought it I'm now considered an international customer and can't even buy it let alone return it. I live chatted with someone who assured me that I would be contacted through email the next day to discuss my return as since I'm now international they can't help me. I will never shop with Overstock again. Wayfair has me from now on. Easy returns, fast delivery and clear ordering policies.

I ordered some "blankets" and paid close attention to the return policy while ordering as this was my first order with Overstock. There was supposed to be no issue with returns when I reviewed the policy. When I got the "blankets" I discovered they really are SHEETS and immediately requested a return/refund. Two weeks later I am still dancing around with difficult to understand emails from the company and no clear instructions/information. First and LAST order on Overstock... I will stick to Amazon.

Overstock.com. DON'T SHOP AT OVERSTOCK DOT COM!!! They scammed me! I ordered a queen bed and within less than an hour, I requested an online cancellation (which was available at the time). One second after I click cancel order, they changed the status of the order to Processing. I contacted customer service support and explained the issue, they said that they couldn’t cancelled it because the order was already on the processing status (warehouse). It didn’t make sense that you cannot cancel an order within less than an hour for an Overstock website error. The reason for cancellation was that the photo of the item didn’t represent it correctly and items were not correctly described online. I noticed this, after I read the reviews from the customers that bought previously the item.
I keep contacting them for cancellation, they really have very poor customer service support. After more than 15 calls, one of the representatives at Overstock told me that even that the items weren’t shipped and won’t be shipped until later time the reason they couldn’t cancel is that the seller partner do not accept cancellations at anytime. Even when the cancellation of the item is a result of an Overstock.com error in the item description. This is clear that they are trying to defraud people. I ordered the cancellation within a reasonable time frame (less than an hour after the order was put in place), in order to prevent shipment. They told me that I need to receive the item and later try to return it, which will result in excessive shipping charges into my credit card. Bottom line, Overstock.com are scammers! Trying to defraud clients with tricks. Go away from their website. I love to buy online, but never never will buy from Overstock.com.

Ordered a table a month ago. Delivery company did not schedule drop-off, left it on front porch last week with a busted corner. Overstock has done nothing to remedy it, but made sure to keep the $600+ dollars we paid, and dodge every communication attempt I've made. No discount, no prices, no furniture is worth the level of anger they inspire.

It was my first time using Overstock.com for a purchase and it will likely be my last. I found a rug I liked in Black and placed the order with them. The rug arrived timely but was clearly marked "Blue" and was a pale blue so no one could mistake it for Black. I returned the rug and requested a replacement which arrived a few days later... AGAIN MARKED BLUE and the same pale Blue. To make matters worse, Overstock.com does not even offer this rug in ANY BLUE on their website, so how I got not one but two wrong Blue Rugs is beyond me. Horrible inventory management and quality control here and lack of any concern for making sure they got the order right the second time. I cannot recommend Overstock.com as a source for home goods. Their returns department was pleasant and helpful, but I assume they get a lot of practice.

I moved into a new apartment with no furniture. After one week of searching, I ordered a Loveseat from Overstock.com on 9/14/2018. Of course they charged my credit card right away. Estimated Delivery date was 9/27/2018. Every other day, I tracked my order and the estimated delivery date was unchanged. 2 days before the above delivery date, the tracking still shows 9/27/2018 with no change and update. I then called Overstock to ask "if my order supposed to deliver in 2 days, has the item been shipped?" She told me 'No, it has not been shipped and she will look into and it WILL BE SHIPPED' On 9/27/2018, Loveseat was not delivered, nothing changed on the tracking website. Then 5 days later 10/2/2018, I received an email from Overstock that they don't have my product and will cancel my order with 'No explanation'.
I emailed and texted them to find out why for the past 3 weeks there was no indication about the order cannot be fulfilled. It is not until 10/2, 5 days past the delivery date, I was told order cancelled and refund will be made. All I got from the company is a 'sorry'. So here I am after 3 weeks, no couch. If I had not ordered from Overstock back on 9/14, I would have bought another couch from another company with also a sale price, now those sales had expired. I guess I should have done some research (like this website) to find the horrible reviews on Overstock.com before I placed my order. Well, I learned my lesson. So I hope any future buyers please don't make the mistake that I did, beware of this Overstock.com site.

Ordered an in-stock watch since they have constantly tried to get me as a Customer. After placing the order and waiting a week they notify it's in the warehouse still and it should go out and I should have it in 10 more days. I said it's a Birthday present for three days from now and to immediately refund my Paypal account. Again they say it's been in stock for a week, not shipped out, and will try to cancel the item, but no guarantees. I ask to immediately cancel, refund my Paypal account and cancel my account. Still no resolution. Can get the item in three days from Amazon but was using their coupon as a new "USER" Buyer beware.

I ordered a duvet cover set 10 days ago on 9/16/2018 at $72 (bf. tax). Today I accessed their website through a 20% off link in my email. For the same product, the price dropped to $68 - great! Then I submitted the order - the submission failed, because the system told me to review the NEW PRICE. The NEW PRICE has increased to $72. I thought, "Ok, that's fine, I'll take it." So I submitted the order again - the submission failed again; and the system now asked me to review the NEW price - NOW it increased to $84!
I contacted the customer service, the representative told me their online retailing price change constantly. And the cost is now $84. I don't believe they're selling me at the cost, based upon my previous online retailer working experience. So I have a reason to believe they're LYING, plus, fooling customers by changing price constantly - they think their pricing system is smart instead of a JOKE. I will definitely avoid this retailer in the future.

I ordered an Oriental Shoe Cabinet. Imagine my surprise when I heard broken glass in the box and the cabinet doesn’t even have glass anywhere on it. I reported it and they says the warehouse won’t take it back because of the broken glass. They ordered another one. After I took photos of the missing parts, worn off paint on the claw foot base and the doors won’t stay on because they sit on spindles that aren’t long enough. I sent photos with this and chipped paint an inch long on the bottom of the door to Robert. I know he tried to help. Getting another $500 Cabinet fabricated the same way is just futile. I need a Shoe Cabinet so my puppies won’t chew up my shoes. Time is critical! But I won’t do business with them again.

This company is a TOTAL joke! From the other comments I can see the CEO doesn't give a damn. I don't have a clue how they stay in business when they sell products they don't really have. I ordered a bed one week ago, when I went to check on the status it just kept saying "processing" with no ship date or tracking #. I called so called customer service. All I got was, "We don't know" and, "We will contact the warehouse," which from sound of it they are not even part of the same company!! Then said someone could contact me. Well I got a text this morning saying my order was CANCELED and out of stock!! WTF!!
They took my money. It was in stock when I ordered it, so because of their disconnected to communicating with this so called warehouse they are out of stock. The moment I ordered the bed it should of IMMEDIATELY, took one of the beds they HAD IN stock and put it in name as SOLD. But instead they kept taking orders without taking the one I purchased and paid for out of stock!! This company is a TOTAL JOKE. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANOTHER ITEM FROM THEM. Today, Sept 20th my purchase, a 6 piece bedroom set, was delivered, after waiting almost three weeks. However, all 8 boxes were damaged and the furniture inside broken. Nothing could be saved. It all had to be returned. Which is a huge inconvenience since I had to empty out my other furniture in order to receive this order. So my clothes, bedding, everything, is in a complete disarray inside my room. I immediately called customer service and asked to speak to a supervisor. They put me on the phone with Aaron. He had no answers for me, and a very insincere apology. He was like a robot. I told him I had to take off work to receive this delivery, and that my room was a mess because I had to clear the room to receive the new furniture. He again apologized for the inconvenience, and said he could put in for a replacement order if I liked.
There was no other offer for my inconvenience. I then asked him what would he do if he were in my situation and what would he want the company to do for him. He then said he wanted to know what I wanted him to do. I asked if he could expedite the replacement order. He said he couldn’t do that. I then asked could he take off any money from the total. He said he could do that, and would start by offering $125 off, for now. He said he could do more, but wanted to reserve that for the next order if it too came in damaged. I asked if the next order could be delivered on a pallet versus loose boxes, otherwise the same thing could happen again. He said there was no guarantee they would put the next order on a pallet, but that he would request they do so. He gave no other offer for the inconvenience.
Also the red glove service I purchased doesn’t include putting the furniture together. Only placing it in the room, and discarding the packaging. Putting it together is on your own. Smh. Now I’m stuck with my room in a mess for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Not what I expected when I made this purchase. My excitement to receive my new bedroom set has been shot. I’m so unhappy right now. Smh. I’ve ordered through them in the past and never had any issues. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth. So beware when you order oversized items from them. They’re not equipped to delivery them to you without any damage. So there’s a 50/50 shot you’ll have to return your items as well due to freight damage. A huge inconvenience.

I placed an order for 4 bar stools. A week later I received a notice shipping was delayed due to weather. A day later I received a notice that there was an issue with my order, unrelated to weather and if I didn't have my order within 30 days they would cancel it. The next day I received a notice they were out of stock of that item and canceled my order. What a waste of time, I could have gone elsewhere and had my furniture in less time without the ridiculous hassle.

Overstock. This company is a fraudulent company. Do not buy from them. Their customer service is wretched and they all have different explanations for their screw ups! They won't cancel a order that was supposed to be cancelled ten minutes after it was placed because they say the warehouse has to do it then three people say it's canceled and my account but it's not and now they have charged me 555 dollars with NO product yet and say if I choose to cancel now even though it was supposed to be cancelled the first ten minutes then I will be subject to 180$ restocking fee!!! So we were shopping for a mattress. I was skeptical about buying from Overstock because they were not good in the past but we needed a mattress, so we placed a order and it said it would be shipping out in a month or so, wayyy too long to sleep on the floor. I called ten minutes later. While looking at another site I found it 200$ cheaper and shipped faster. So I called and asked to cancel TEN MINUTES later. Overstock says, "Well we will put in a request but the warehouse has to approve it," I said, "It's been ten minutes, no one's that fast at packing a mattress!" So he said not to worry. It would be ok, my card would show pending purchase. After the second day they sent us a text saying that they would like delivery information, I called them.
I said, "I have no delivery. I cancelled this," and he said oh well the first guy should have called the warehouse instead of emailing and he would have done it differently but not to worry we would be ok and it would not be charged. Third day is here. My credit card's charged. Now it gets ugly, now they say I never canceled it and I'm at fault blaming me saying I was never allowed to cancel it and I would be charged 180$ to even try to cancel it, the mattress was 555$ so nearly half of the cost!!! I am disgusted!!! I will never buy from them again and make sure everyone knows. This company needs a class action against them.

Then I process a return for my refund and I’m being charged $14.90 each, 50% of the purchase price, to return them! So basically Overstock is collecting $30 from me for absolutely nothing. Ordered a Dining Room table over a month ago. Received an email that it was "shipped". Was not shipped, in fact still do not have it in mid Sept. This company is nothing more than a dropship specialist that takes your money, then orders the product and hopes for the best. The CEO has a message on hold that it is their goal to provide the very best customer service, what a joke. I think he better reevaluate. I've given them one more week for the piece to show up, or we're cancelling. They took my money btw a couple days after ordering, so they are very swift at that. Once I get my table, I am done with them, too many choices to put up with companies that could care less about customers.

I placed an order for a rug promising 2 day delivery and after two days discover item hasn't even shipped yet. Customer service zero help stating that 2 day delivery only offered in limited zip codes which was not made clear on their site. I live in a suburb of Hartford, CT. not a rural location and clearly the promise of 2 day shipping is false advertising meant to lure customers. Also informed once item finally ships it will be additional 3-6 days before it is delivered. This company clearly deceitful in their advertising practices. They have lost a customer.

I got Brother TN630/TN660 High Yield Black Laser Toner Cartridge (Pack of 3) as a gift a year ago. Obviously I won't need to use all 3 cartridges for a long time. After about 6 months, I just opened one, and there's nothing in it. It had been sealed up as it came in the packing box and it was dead. When I contacted online chat from Overstock, she asked for the order number. Of course I don't have it. I gave the person's email who bought it but she would not help me without the order number. I happen to keep the toners in the original box just for storage, so I thought the order number might be there. She kept saying it starts with 21, but nothing on the box starts with 21. I asked her where the number is and she just didn't answer. She just kept typing she can't help me without the order number. Terrible customer service.

On July 15th I ordered a pair of Madison Park Whitman Jacquard, in blue/brown. The curtains were not what I ordered. They were brown even though the pkg. said blue/brown. I live in Canada and when the curtains arrived at my home address I paid FedEx 39.19. I contacted Overstock C/S. I explained that even though the pkg. said blue, the item was definitely brown. I also mentioned that I paid FedEx for a wrong item that was incorrectly shipped out from Overstock. If I had received the correct item, I obviously would have had to pay FedEx. An RMA label was issued. The item was returned via UPS on or about July 28. A refund was issued for the curtains and also for FedEx charges to my PayPal account. (To complicate matters, I use Reship, in Oregon for orders originating from the US. This is the address they have on my file. Reship will then forward items to my home address in Canada using FedEx).
I made a second attempt to order the same curtains in blue. The order was placed on July 24. Again, the same thing happened. Brown curtains were shipped out not blue curtains. I contacted Overstock, and again explained the shipping error. A RMA was issued and returned August 10. I tried explaining that I also paid FedEx charges for the wrong item sent out by Overstock, but to no avail.
The rep. didn't understand that since I was asking to be reimbursed for FedEx charges as previous, it was only fair that I receive reimbursement the 2nd time for Overstock's error. He/she kept insisting that I did receive a refund and a free return label. Damn right OS should provide a free label. It was their error! They dont want to take responsibility for the mistake. Yes, I did receive a refund for the curtains, but not for FedEx costs of 25.71 CDN. I am NOT the one who made the shipping error! I ordered the correct item, but received the wrong one. It was not my fault. Ordered other items from OS in the past with no issues, but I will no longer be ordering from OS! Disappointed in OS.

I purchased a laptop computer on August and it was advertised as new. Comparing to Amazon.com, Best Buy and B&H, it was overpriced. I called and ask for price adjustment, the CSR was very rude and she told me they couldn't cancel the order. WTF! It was 2 hours after I placed my order. I called AMEX and they took care of the issue. Seriously, this shady company is by far the worst company to deal with speaking from my 20+ years online shopping experiences. My mailbox is full of their spam messages with false advertisements w/ coupon codes. Their coupon code literally excluding everything. Buyer be aware! Take your business somewhere else.

On 08/04/18 I purchased a Della 24000 BTU 22 SEER Mini Split. The item was sold via Marketplace seller OneBigOutlet/RGE Motors. The AC was shipped damaged from OneBigOutlet damaged and simply in a thin cardboard box. Since it weighed over 120 lbs it was damaged and punctured where oil and gas was leaking out of the outdoor unit. After 12 plus phone calls with Marketplace seller OneBigOutlet and 15 plus calls to Overstock.com customer service I am still out a refund. I sent back the indoor unit and the Marketplace seller has the nerve to tell me to dispose of the damaged outdoor unit at my own expense. I have never experienced such a poor customer service process and now must seek merchant credit reversal with my financial institution.

Missing parts. Cheaper, wrong items. Extra charges to get those parts. They gave me three options: buy more stuff from them for a year, receive $20 (both items were more than $100), or return my item. I’m still making phone calls back and forth a month later trying to resolve something that should have been resolved in February. I’m glad I paid with PayPal. Do not shop here, no matter how tempting the item. It’s not worth it. They will rip you off.

I have made 2 large orders from Overstock and both were missing items. Had to contact customer service at least twice each time for missing items. Receiving the “lost” item took longer than the actual order. One item was a 26x26 pillow. It had been stuffed into a much smaller bag. It took several days for the pillow to return to its normal size. I am so done with Overstock. There are many much better sites.

I contacted O.com customer service last week when I realized that the furniture delivered to my house was a different brand than what I had ordered. I had already started putting the dresser together because it looked identical to what I had purchased, but when I broke a part and needed to order a replacement, I realized that a cheaper brand had been sent to my house (I looked the prices up for each brand on the manufacturers' sites to compare them). Customer service said I'd have to take apart the dresser and someone would come pick it up for me for a refund, but that is extremely inconvenient. It just seems very underhanded that this company would send a product that looks just like the one advertised but is much more cheaply made.
The nightstands were also supposed to be both the brand advertised on the site, and they were the cheaper brand, as well. So, this wasn't one isolated incident with the dresser. The interesting thing is that their site doesn't even have Bush Furniture (the imitation brand) as a product that you can purchase, so they have to be intentionally stocking their warehouses with cheaper products to send out hoping people won't notice or won't notice until it's too late like I did. I will not be purchasing anything in the future from Overstock. This is a case of false advertising, and they can be sued over it, but I just don't have the time or resources to do it on my own. Maybe a class action lawsuit would make them be honest about their products and deliver those that are ordered instead of scamming their customers.

So I ordered a couple beds from Overstock I realized I got the wrong size for one. This was about 3 hours later and they said I’m pretty stuck with it. I text one worker then I called my bank to try and get a stop payment then I went to PayPal to try and cancel and all of these are a dead end. They don’t accept returns. But they will put the request into the office and someone should contact me in 1-2 business days... So that means NEVER!!! Lol So I’m wasting money. This place is a joke. I will NEVER order from there again.

I am new customer. When you chat with someone they all say they can help but they can't even see your cart. Then if you go to another page you have to start over with a new chatter. After half hour of that is enough. They tell you will get a first purchase discount but how do you get it. Site is totally mismanaged.

If you are shopping at Overstock.com you are shopping at a risk. Customer satisfaction is not their motto. "You buy it, you stuck with it," is more appropriate for them. You shop on their line but if you need to return exchange anything you have to deal with the seller not Overstock. You would think they would have some contract with the numerous sellers in regards to return policies on items especially since they are selling under its name. But they do not. Consumers are assets a restocking and shipping fee if you are not satisfied with your purchase.
I purchased several items from Overstock.com totally well over $1400. One of the items that I paid $200 for went on sale 48 hours after I purchased it. Most places will as a courtesy refund or extend that sale price to you since you just purchased it. I was passed like a buck by Overstock to the seller, who told me I could return item but I would pay shipping and a 20% restock fee. The shipping and restocking fee would cost me double the money of the sale reduction. Will never get me again! BUYERS BEWARE! Shop at your own risk!!

We bought expensive mirrors from Overstock and when we returned them, Overstock kept 1/3 the money even though the mirrors had never been taken out of the boxes. These are greedy people. They have lost thousands of dollars because I will never buy from them again. I bought other expensive things from them and had no problems because I had never returned anything.

Do not order from Overstock. I’ve been constantly contacting them to return an item that was broken from delivery for a replacement and or refund. They are supposed to contact the buyer within 1 business day for return instructions. They keep saying, "We will contact you in 1-2 business days," and they don’t. This company is a rip off and trying to get $110.00 dollars replaced or refunded that they owe me back from this company is a nightmare! They are crooks! Stick to Amazon. Buyer beware! Just wanted to warn my fellow shoppers who are always looking to find a great product for a lower price. I recently purchased two bathroom vanities from Overstock. I thought I did my research on finding the best price, but after I purchased the products, I found Home Depot had the SAME product I just bought for $400 more from Overstock. : ( I contacted Overstock to find out if they price matched, but they don't. Definitely learned my lesson. When it looks like it might be a good deal/price on Overtsock, do more research and you will most likely find a better deal somewhere else.

Before placing an order I was in contact with Customer Care. He was going to sell me the bed for the lower price (they change prices almost everyday) than they had. First I had to buy it for the new higher price that he would credit me the difference in 2-3 days. Well it's been a month now and I haven't received anything back. This Baxton Studio Accent chair was the first and last purchase I will ever make from Overstock. The expected shipping date was 5-8 days... I checked the tracking # only to find out the package was damaged in transit. Overstock had no plans to even inform me of this issue or begin the shipment to send me a new one. It was not until I called and had to waste an hour of my time on the phone dealing with difficult reps before They would send me a replacement chair. Then after 10 days of checking the transit info for the second order, I see the package begin to move away from my house.
I call and I'm told there was a scanning error and my chair would be delivered the next day. The chair comes the next day packaged in an outer and inner box (both are destroyed) and a leg is broken off. GUESS WHAT, they left my packing information on the inner box. So when I called to complain they clearly just panicked and sent me the original damaged chair. I have items delivered to my house monthly via UPS and I have never had an issue. This was my first purchase from Overstock and I had more issues than I can name.

I ordered a large leather sofa on July 31 and the item was delivered to my home in August 3rd. The free, white glove delivery included minor assembly, trash removal (the item was quite large and very well packed so I was glad to not have to deal with the leftover packing materials) and delivery to my room of choice. The sofa is beautiful and exactly as advertised, including color. I can't believe how quickly it arrived. I had actually ordered a sofa for another room from another company about a month prior and fully expected this to be the first one I purchased. Because of this, I had the wrong room cleared out and the pathway I'd cleared to be helpful actually obstructed the route they needed to take. The delivery service was prompt, courteous, and efficient and waited patiently for me to clear a new path. I am very happy with my first experience with this company.

I recently moved (probably common for a lot of Overstock.com customers). My first shipment was scheduled to be delivered on the Friday of the weekend we were moving. That date was fine but for some reason, it got changed to Monday instead. As we were no longer going to be at that address, I gave them my new address to send the shipment to instead. However, because it was already in transit, they couldn't change it. Now, 3 weeks later they are sending me something at the old address again!!! They will not accept any kind of responsibility. They will blame the customer over and over again. No matter what, it is never their responsibility! So if you are looking at another site with a similar product, I would definitely advise to stay away from Overstock.com or be prepared for something to go wrong because it will!!!

Every customer service rep kept me on the phone for 1/2 hour minimum, wrote notes and then I had to be transferred to the supervisor who had to go through the entire process again. I spent upwards of 2 hours "talking" and explaining the poor, amateurish service I had received. I even had full NAMES of the employees, but that did absolutely nothing for me. There is ZERO accountability this company, the reps are polite, but totally ineffective. They just repeat the company policy -- ripping off the customer -- over and over again like robots. It's kind of scary.
I received the wrong order and it was missing pieces. I lost more than $700 in labor fees and lost rent because my job went astronomically over budget -- all because this greedy company couldn't get my tiles -- the correct ones-- here on time!!!! They forced me to pay for additional tiles, even after I had spoken with 6 customer reps!!!! HELLLOOO? Anna **, Dom, Steven, Janelle, Renee, John **, Jacob ** -- I hope they are paying you well, because I got ZERO service and nothing was done to comp my order.
What is wrong with this company. Very sad commentary on the state of customer service. I told them they would lose me as a customer and they just repeated the little "script" about "We've shipped your order"... "it takes 2-6 business days"... So very sad and pathetic. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT bother using this company. Go to a local supplier and save yourself the aggravations I had and am still having until my $400 order arrives. Thanks!

I ordered a Gayle 52" wine bar on July 11 and paid 50 dollars for 'white glove' service (place it in the room of my choice and remove all the packing material). 3 weeks later I received an email from their shipping company asking me to set up a delivery date, with a number to call. I called the number and received the following message "due to an extremely high volume of calls we cannot take your call at this time, please call back later." No way to leave a message. I call back 4 times and each time, throughout the day, no matter the time of day, get the same message.
I finally get through after a few days (!) to a person who says my deliver "window" is 8 AM to 8 PM on a Tuesday. Meaning I have to take an entire day off to monitor my front door and wait for delivery. It came in the afternoon and when I unpacked it. It was damaged. I refused the delivery. On the same day I put in a ticket to Overstock saying I refused the delivery and would like a refund. I got an automated response that said "customer service will contact you within 24 hours." Days passed and no response, but they did refuse to publish my one star review of this product. I paid 1300 dollars for this item. It came damaged. I refused it, never signed for it and it went back on the truck same day. I have contacted the company multiple times with no response, no refund, nothing. Total silence.
I will contact my credit card company and request a chargeback. If this company has done the same kind of thing to you, google "chargeback" and take it up with your credit card company. In cases where the product was defective or not delivered you the credit card company can in some cases place the money back in your account (credit you) and... This is the best part: remove the money from the seller's account (charge them). You have to have proof, which I do... I have a video of the delivery on my security camera, showing me refusing the product, and it being put back on the truck, I also have my delivery paperwork showing "refused" and no signature from me on the form, and all the emails, chats etc I have had with Overstock showing absolutely no movement on their part to refund me the money.

Well I see now why Overstock's customer ratings are so low. I ordered a rug that was shown to be a certain comfort and for a kid's rug was supposed to be fluffy and comfortable. When it was about 4 shades lighter than the picture and it was so cheap feeling and not soft that my kids said "Ouch" when they walked on it. Cost me $80 to send it back and the rug was about $120. When I called about that they said "We're not responsible if the rug is a different color or it is not great quality." GREAT BUSINESS MODEL!?? I will never be shopping from them again.

I called the “real” Overstock Customer Service today about the return (having ordered from Overstock but subsequently learned on the phone). It was from Overstock Seller and the real Overstock never heard of Overstock Seller company and it's not on any of their databases. In fact, I sent the Overstock Seller LINK to The Real Overstock so they could investigate. I was duped! And, the Overstock Seller advertising duped me too, as thinking the camera I bought worked with Supports Smartphone OS (Apple), I thought.
Secondly, Overstock Seller requested returning the camera to China by postal with “online delivery tracking information or a copy of the return postage receipt” which would cost $14.00 US postage and $15.00 US receipt or totaling $29.00… outrageous! The camera was only $40.00 And a real neat trick to avoid returning and getting a refunds! This experience was my first with what I thought was Overstock and I thus have already told all my employees and all persons at the post office today, so far, "Do not do business with Overstock partners, they have unscrupulous." Now, I’m not out $39.99 US. Sad.

I signed up for the 6 months no interest when I bought a table from Overstock and when I got my card statement I noticed interest being charged. After being sent around to 10 different people I was told that because I used the coupon that they were offering on their website I was not allowed for the 6 month no interest. I had order a pack back to carry my older dog when out on walks. When the item arrived it looked used, dirty inside, with zippers opened and a few hairs! It was weird because it was packaged as new but it was obviously used by a pooch with dirt in their paws and they didn’t bother cleaning. Plus it was terrible quality, they have “easy” returns where I ended up paying $14 dollars for a shipping label. Terrible! Be aware of this business and do not buy from them! I ended up giving money away.

I ordered a mattress and after less than 24 hours passed, I tried numerous times to cancel the order. Each customer service person would say, "I'd be happy to cancel your order." A few seconds later, they would come back and say, "I am sorry, but the system is down. I can't access your account at the moment. Please contact us in about 15 minutes." Almost immediately, I received an email stating my order would take up to 10 days to reach the warehouse and then up to 4 weeks to be delivered!
I contacted customer service again and they said the warehouse rejected their request to cancel my order! That makes absolutely no sense at all. Moreover, on their website, my account indicates that the order is still in process and nowhere near being at the warehouse or shipping. Customer service then says when the mattress arrives in 6 weeks, I can return it and pay a 20% restocking fee! That means I am out over $200 since the mattress costs over $1,000! I will NEVER use this company again and highly recommend people STEER CLEAR and don't risk their hard-earned money on these crooks!

This is absurd. After waiting for two months to receive "seasonal" patio furniture I now have the options below. Do you not care? I want the pillow. If the option is that I have to receive a full furniture set in order to do this then so be it. Please note: It took 2 months for the first set, if you hold to your current standard then summer will be over, thanks.
The package is large and heavy. The box had to be disassembled on my front porch. In order to get the pillow out, all of the furniture will have to be removed, as they are packed in the middle of the patio furniture themselves. This is going to result in the furniture and the box not being able to be re-assembled and packaged properly as I am not a factory or distributor. This will also be left out in the open on a main road until you come back to pick up the poorly assembled (if at all) return parts. I take no responsibility for the repackaging and I take no responsibility for the safety of the package until you send for a return pickup, as was indicated via phone call right now.

I ordered a loft bed and two mattresses from Overstock. The description and photos of the mattress made them look like they would work well with the loft bed and the other bed I planned on using them with. The mattresses arrived rolled up in small cardboard boxes. Both boxes had holes in them as well. When we opened the box, it was pretty clear these mattresses were not of the quality depicted on the website. I didn't pull them out for fear I would not be able to get them back in the box after looking at them.
I requested a refund due to inaccurate product description. I was told I would have to pay $50 to ship them back. Mind you, they were on sale for about $75 each. I also let Overstock know about the holes in the boxes. I had to take pictures of the holes and email them. This was about a week ago. Still haven't heard back from customer service. I refuse to pay $50 to send back an item I didn't pay shipping to receive, and which is about 1/3 of the cost for the two mattresses together. My boyfriend put both mattresses on top of each other on one bed, which seems to be working for now, but I have to purchase another mattress for the other bed. Will not purchase anything from them again. I'm very disappointed in their customer service and refund policy.

Ordered two end tables at 7:00 am. Also opened a chg account interest free to pay. At 2:00 that same day I initiated a chat to cancel the order. It was my understanding that if the order says processing you can cancel, mine said processing. I had read the return and cancel terms beforehand. The chat said my order had already been sent to the warehouse but was not shipped. The chat said they would see if it could be stopped and email me back. Never got that email and 2 days later they are being shipped. You got me this time Overstock but you never will again...

There are no words to describe how bad Overstock.com is. The service, the employees, the shipping. I don't even know where to start. I made my first order and was told it had free 2 day shipping and the product would arrive on 6/27. My order was stuck in "processing" for 4 days and nobody at customer care could figure out why. Finally, I get an email that it shipped. Only one problem - they shipped it to someone in Virginia and I live in California. After 9 phone calls, non-returned calls from supervisors, lies, and false information - I still have no product and no refund. In addition, they would tell me they were getting a supervisor and then hang up. DO NOT USE Overstock.

My original order was stated to arrive by 6/18. After contacting 2 chat representatives I was told that if it didn't arrive by 6/20 a next day air order would be placed. I then received an email on 6/21 stating the order was due to be delivered today. 30 mins later I received a text message saying the item wouldn't arrive until 6/28. I am so royally upset with the back and forth confusion. I was to wear this blouse for my baby shower on 6/23. It took me forever to find a purple maternity blouse in my size and one I liked. Now two days before my shower I have to find something else to wear and buy while their company holds on to my money until the item is delivered and returned. I have ordered from Overstock many times and I have never dealt with such lack of organization. I am so angry and they have definitely lost a customer!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM OVERSTOCK.COM unless you don’t mind paying for every item that needs to be returned. I purchased several dresses for a special event and upon returning all of them, I have paid eighty dollars in return fees. What a total rip-off plus depending on where the items are shipped from is where they need to be returned. I had six different packages and boxes. I’m just hoping I get proper credit since they do not credit according to what’s inside each package or box, they credit individual items. I am keeping a close eye on my credits. So disappointing! Please read the reviews and trust them. I usually don’t write reviews, but I hope others do not have to experience this unpleasant experience.

Representatives called me to tell me they would replace item. 4 weeks later all I have received are more phone calls asking about item and wanting pictures of said item with many apologies, telling me the next call will be to give me a tracking number but no, just more requests from Overstock asking for pictures, info. While placing an order that had high delivery fees, was offered at check out to join their Club O program which includes free shipping. It is very clearly stated that free shipping on every item is included, and when you go to the page with more detail about that, says the same thing. No disclaimer. I went ahead and placed the order but was concerned that I was still charged shipping. It was the weekend so their chat services wasn't available. The next Monday I contacted Overstock to ask why my shipping wasn't free. After two chat conversations I was told Hawaii and Alaska shipping is not free after all. Very disappointing and I don't appreciate the misinformation Overstock provided.

Ordered a Giorgio Armani cologne. Received the item and it is obvious the item is counterfeit: spelling inconsistencies on packaging, sloppy print on the bottle and cheap plastic cap that matches the style of the original one, but does not even fit the bottle. Contacted Overstock.com, they refused to do anything. Disputed the transaction with my credit card bank and I am considering reporting this issue to the FDA. DO NOT ORDER FROM OVERSTOCK.COM!!!

On May 21, 2018, I ordered two sets of chair cushions for a dining set I purchased. Around 1 1/2 weeks later, I checked the status of my order and Overstock's website showed that it was still processing and hadn't shipped yet. I contacted Customer Care via Online Chat, and they told me that it would ship out in a couple of days. Great.
On June 3, I checked the order status online and it still showed that it hadn't shipped so I contacted Customer Care again via Online Chat. This time a representative told me that it takes 1-10 business days for the warehouse to ship out a product so my order would ship out by June 5, which would be the 10th business day.
On June 6, one day after the 10th business day, I checked the status again and it showed that the product still had not shipped. This would be the third time to contact Overstock and this time I did it by phone. The representative that looked into this issue now told me the items I ordered was out of stock. He told me that someone should have contacted me to let me know and apologized to me for no one having done so. I was irritated to say the least and told him how ridiculous it is that I order a product weeks ago and only now after the 3rd time calling Overstock am I told that it's out of stock. What the heck is going on with the way they track their inventory? He said he would issue me a refund. So, of course, I had him initiate this refund request.
Two days later, I receive a text message from Overstock indicating that my order had shipped. Imagine my surprise and confusion that now my cushions are finally on its way to me despite me cancelling this "out of stock" order two days prior! I waited a few days to check this order status online again so I can see where it is in the FedEx transit. To my surprise, I saw that one set of cushions was indeed on its way and I had a valid Fedex tracking number and a FedEx arrival date, but the other set of cushions showed "Shipped" but with no tracking information.
I contacted Customer Care by phone again (4th time contacting Overstock) and this time the representative asked me if I had canceled the order a few days ago? I explained to him that I canceled the order because the Customer Care rep I spoke with a few days ago told me that my order was out of stock. What that 1st rep didn't explain was that only one of the two sets I ordered were out of stock, not both. He had made it seem that both were out of stock and I was going to be issued a refund for the total cost of my order. This new rep told me that since the previous rep canceled only one of the two items, the refund for that one set that was out of stock was already in process and that he couldn't reverse it.
Meanwhile, as this rep was explaining this situation to me, I searched Overstock's website to see if these same cushions I ordered were still out of stock and I found that they were available. I told the rep that I see these cushions are no longer out of stock and that I want to purchase these same cushions that I had previously ordered because I need them (I have a set of 4 on its way and I need the other two to complete my 6-chair dining set). He said he would help me with that purchase. I told him that I want to pay the same discounted price that I paid originally. He said he would apply that same discount. Great.
When he breaks down the cost at the end, he includes shipping costs. I told him that I would not pay for the shipping and in fact, they should be shipping this to me with expedited shipping for the hassle of dealing with this issue for weeks. (When I originally ordered the two sets, I had free shipping because the total cost of my order exceeded $49, which qualifies for free shipping.) I told the rep that there is no way that I would pay for shipping for something that was going to be delivered to me for free to begin with when I first placed the order. Rather than do what is right and give me the free shipping, he offers me a Club O membership that gives me free shipping on every order for $19.95/year membership fee! Are you flippin' kidding me?!!
At this point, I lost my cool and reamed him for his poor customer service and reminded him that this entire issue is the fault of Overstock. I yelled that I would not accept his offers and demanded that I get my order with free shipping. I told him if he couldn't honor that, then he needs to escalate this up the chain and that I would not get off the phone until this matter was resolved to my satisfaction. The resolution? He issued me a bigger discount than the 15%, which covered the $4.95 shipping, which I was still charged. I still don't understand why he didn't just remove the shipping and he never explained to me why he could or couldn't. I'm guessing the Overstock system automatically charges shipping for orders that don't exceed $49 and that the reps don't have the ability to override it? Why he couldn't explain this is perplexing.
I feel that the Overstock Customer Care reps are either incompetent in their jobs or they are just poorly trained by management. I am in complete disbelief that a company that does so much business can continue to operate in this manner. I've read so many customer complaints about Overstock and their lack of customer service. How is it that they are still in business? Mind boggling! Needless to say, I will never order from them again! I will gladly pay more money to buy through a company like Amazon whose customer service is phenomenal!!!

I ordered bunk beds from them and they guaranteed delivery on a Monday. I got people to come to my house to help me bring them in. Turns out the item didn't ship until 5 pm that day. Customer service was rude and just said delivery dates were estimates and couldn't tell me when my item would arrive. Now the bunk beds will arrive on a day when I don't have help.

Ring purchase and subsequent return. They are cagey about refunding your money. Only when I got on online chat and made clear that I wasn't leaving until the issue was resolved did I see results. They were going to charge me $11.32 postage fee for returning a cheap, very lightweight ring! If you're looking for CZ jewelry, go to Palm Beach Jewelry online -- a lot of the same products, along with good customer service. So, I am happy with the resolution to this complaint but sorry about the way I had to go chasing after it. I've got better things to do with my time.

Recently purchased a mat and the wrong colour was delivered at my expense of $140 for express international delivery. Paid express because needed the mat asap but when mat was delivered it was the wrong colour, contacted them immediately with no response from 4 emails, spoke to customer service through the live chat (useless) and asked for a new mat to shipped out immediately but they were not helpful at all and said someone should make contact with me in a couple of days. This error was at their end and I have to wait 2 days for them to make contact even though I paid $140 to have my rug sent express, absolutely no care factor, would never buy anything off them again. So Frustrating!!! Still waiting to hear from them? Buyers be aware!

I Purchased several Safavieh rugs approximately 1 1/2 years ago. One of the rugs had a slight discoloration in one spot of the yarn approximately the size of my thumb. But rather than complain about it I opted to just accept the rug with this minor color difference. You can imagine my surprise when one month ago that particular spot started lifting out of the carpet. On closer examination I discovered that there was actually a hole in the rug that someone either at the manufacturer or at Overstock had tried to cover up falsely by gluing yarn into the hole. In my opinion this is not a warranty issue because it was a deliberate attempt to falsify and to cover up a defective piece of merchandise.
So I appealed to Overstock.com for a replacement. Given that I had spent over $700 on rugs you would think that replacing this runner would not be a big issue especially since the honesty of this company is seriously in question. But Overstock refused to even hear my complaint, just constantly saying it’s outside the warranty. It seems to me that when a company deliberately tries to fool their customers by covering up, This falls outside the warranty. There was no way at the time I got the rug that I could have seen that they had glued fabric fibers in a hole. It’s only now that the glue has dried out that it was obvious. Personally I will never do business with Overstock.com again. If you do, check your merchandise upside down inside out the minute you get it and if you have any question whatsoever make a complaint and return it. This is not an honorable company. Any company that would sell damaged merchandise and not disclose it is a fraud.

Ordered a cushion (Rolling Mead-Veranda Cosmo) for a swivel rocker. Online, colors appeared muted. When it arrived, the colors were brash and bold, gaudy. I opened the box and did a double-take. Amazon had the same cushion for a few dollars more. Thought I'd try Overstock. Never again. $13.70 to return the item (total order about $51.00). I'm sticking with Amazon. If I had ordered the cushion from Amazon, I could have returned it at no charge.

I recently purchased a bike rack that fits on the back of an RV / travel trailer. The rack did not fit the bikes so I attempted on three separate occasions to contact the company. No response. They are the worst I have seen with customer service. I will never buy another item from them. Do not waste your money. Compare this treatment to someone like Amazon for example. I have never had a problem returning an item. Very bad company.

Overstock.com. Oh, what a lovely thought to go shopping there. Good prices, interesting item. But let me give you one hint... DON'T SHOP AT OVERSTOCK DOT COM!!! I had something interesting happen to me. They almost always have a promotion - open up your Overstock card, and then when you shop, you get interest free for 6 months, 12 months, 18 months - depending on the amounts.
So, I already had a card, but went there to buy my husband's Christmas gift last year. I bought a 8" electronic gps telescope - good brand name, not a cheapie - and budgeted to make sure I paid it off in less than a year, paying no interest. Now, at checkout, they hound you - JOIN THE OVERSTOCK CLUB O! You get credit back on all purchased to buy more, plus a coupon to use on your first purchase!!! So, even though you had to pay to join Club O, I figured the discount, and joined up - it saved more than it cost.
Now, as this year has gone on, I've paid about 1/5 of the bill each month, my intent to pay it off in May - 5 months, so definitely within the interest free period. However, last month, I noticed that there was still about $89 due after what I showed should be the last of my pay, so I went online and found my way through about 6 screens before I could finally pull up a copy of my statement (us folks who do online billing only don't get these statements). They've been adding interest every month.
I went ahead and paid what I thought I still owed, then contacted customer service to ask that the interest be removed, per the promotion at the time of purchase. After going through two different folks, they finally upscaled it - and I got a letter today. In the letter? Because I took a promotion that offered cash back and/or discount (remember the Club O they keep thrusting at you?), I did not qualify for the interest free. Needless to say, I paid the interest, but they have now lost my business in the future. I hope the <$90 is worth the loss of over $1000 each year!

In an effort to reduce my time spent with this issue I will paste here the written review I submitted to Overstock.com after not getting a full refund on a stair runner (rug) that is many shades darker gray than what is shown on their website's product description. The purchase price was $65.99, the refund was made to me for only $49.99. I purchased the rug based on the light shade of gray that compliments the light gray walls with white trim. I returned the item and explained the reason for the return and the request for full refund as the item was incorrectly depicted on their website.
(According to their refund policy they will consider full refunds and void the restocking fee under certain circumstances. I expected that an inaccurate product description with accompanying incorrect picture color would warrant a full refund. I also called their customer service department and was told I would get a call back from their "legal department" within three to four days. Two weeks later, I'm still waiting for the call. Incidentally, the rep said the color seemed right to him - not having seen the actual rug) In addition, I wrote the review below, which of course was denied publishing by Overstock.com. Lastly, I responded accordingly to a Survey request from Overstock, and none of this lead to a return call or full refund.
I see there are hundreds of complaints about this company, many about their return policy and so I'm adding mine to make buyers aware of the fact that at least in my case, a product was misrepresented online by providing a photograph that shows a light gray rug, with a light shade very much in fashion these days. The actual rug is basically a dark charcoal color that will not work for anyone making the selection based on the depicted color. See below for my complaint to Overstock.com that will also serve its purpose in my review in this site, ConsumerAffairs:
"Buyers beware: The color depicted with the item description is far from accurate. More than likely you will return this rug because the color is many shades darker than the light gray shown on Overstock.com AND you will not be refunded for the whole amount. Although Overstock.com indicates that in most cases a return fee will be deducted from the purchases, it's not fair to be charged for this fee as Overstock is misrepresenting the item. I rated the item poorly only because I had to get buyers attention. The item appears to be of good quality so I solely blame Overstock.com and not the manufacturer for misrepresenting the item's color. I ordered this carpet for my Center Hall Colonial stairs because of the light gray color shown with the item's description. The color shown is the very trendy light gray design seen in decorating magazines, pictures of staged homes, etc. It's not used just for rug design but also on pillows and draperies.
Although it's probably overused by now, it does add a touch of contemporary when updating rooms, I was disappointed to find the rug to be much darker, basically charcoal gray, and not the light color as shown. I returned the item with my written reason and the request for full refund as the return was not because I ordered the wrong size, or color or just not liking the item. The reason for the refund is because of the color misrepresentation and I should have received the full refund, instead, an $ return charge was deducted from the refund. I called Customer Support; the representative actually did look at the item description and was somewhat argumentative by saying that a secondary picture showed it darker. The assumed reason for the darker image is because when magnified, not only the rug shows darker but the picture background as well.
I was told he would still pass the complaint to the legal department - gee, thanks for doing your job! And a week later I'm still waiting for the call. Obviously this vendor does not care for its customers. As a Realtor who also stages homes I would not purchases again from this company. I was hoping to add to my inventory credenzas, side tables and more but I will not do so from this company because I cannot trust the depicted colors, etc. Based on the reps argument, I expected a call where I would be told colors may be represented based on computer monitor settings and the like; my response would have been that most vendors provide accurate color representations. My computer is properly adjusted for color, in fact, I was able to match the exterior gray paint I used seven years ago, with a chip from the house exterior.
The color name and item number was unreadable as the leftover can had stains, so I could not use the can as a guide but upon matching the chip to paint manufacturer website I recognized not only the selected color but the name which I had forgotten. AGAIN: the item is misrepresented. I chose the rug due to the contemporary light shade of gray, the item actually is many, many shades darker, yet I'm penalized for the refund amount even though Overstock.Com misrepresented the item's color. BEWARE. As buyers, how can we trust ordering from Overstock.com if they will not treat us fairly in situations such as this?
Of course, my complaints will be directed as well to the Better Business Bureau and other pertinent consumer advocate services. NOTE that there are hundreds of complaints about this company, already filed with these consumer advocates, many related to refunds not being fully honored. Incidentally, I did get an email from Overstock.com asking me to participate in a satisfaction survey. I responded with my complaint; never heard from a representative either."

After ordering 5 items for my home, four had to be returned due to poor quality, items not being as described online or items breaking down after one use. The website had constant problems when trying to make returns, customer service on the phone was not great and online chat customer service times out leaving the customer to have to explain their need over and over again to changing customer service agents. I had to pay out of pocket around $100 just to return the unwanted/unused items. Overstock does not cover the cost of returning items. The biggest mistake was purchasing an area rug for the living room which required me to borrow a truck and get a family member to help haul into the UPS store in order to return it. Not an easy task with a new baby! It also takes several weeks to get a refund after returning an item. Huge mistake ordering from this company.

I purchased this set a bit over a year ago. I have kept it under my covered patio and for the most part covered when not in use. After a year there was dirt on the covers and I removed all the covers and washed them. To my surprise they were completely damaged when I removed them. They all curled, up and shrunk to the point they are irreparable. Nothing on the labels (which are still attached) said that the outdoor cushions could not be washed. I contacted Overstock and their response was that there was nothing they could do because they only gave 30 days on the covers, they sent me instructions that said the outdoor covers should not be wet, this did me no good after the fact. Mostly if I had known that I would not have purchased cream color covers.
My only option is to buy custom made cushions which will cost more than if I just buy the whole set again. I am disappointed that I paid good money for something I expected to be an outdoor set and now have no recourse because I did not wash them within 30 days. I feel I was sold a faulty product that was not as described.

I ordered what appeared to be a robust piece of furniture from Overstock.com; an upholstered daybed. It arrived today ready for assembly, something that I missed in the product description. I wouldn't mind assembling if the product had some quality, but it did not. I had to miss work to receive the furniture and returning it would require more lost hours. In addition, they wanted me to pay the return shipping. I refused and they finally agreed to send me the "label" free of charge. However, the daybed came in 3 heavy boxes. By this time, I've had it. Just not buying from them again and warning others to stay away.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. As others have said the "free shipping", "free return" comments are pure lies. They NEVER respond to complaints, phone numbers listed for them aren't answered. PayPal dispute is also useless. IF you get Overstock to respond, there is a "restocking fee" which in my case is almost as much as the cheap piece of garbage I received. RUN away from ever using Overstock.com.

I have ordered from Overstock many times. Quality and customer service always good. A few weeks ago I purchased two very large area rugs. They arrived within a few days. When we realized we were not moving after all, I cringed at the thought of how to return them. I did an online chat with someone who took care of the whole thing with ease! The person only charged me $23 for UPS to come to my home and pick them up... which they did the very next day! They refunded my money right away! I will not forget this extraordinary experience when buying things in the future. I have not had this much satisfaction with online buying in quite some time!

On March 24, 2018 a lady in California used the number from my Visa Debit Gift card to make two purchases from Overstock.com totaling $89.43. The card was in my possession in Indiana. She had her order filled and Overstock got their money. Actually they got my money and I got nothing. I have been in contact with them at least 10 times to no avail. At first I was told they would credit the amount back to my card, but then changed their tune and told me I would have to go after the card issuer. So a corporation with between $1.6-1.8 BILLION in yearly revenues refuses to give me my money back, a whopping $89.43... seems fair. We are talking .0000056 of ONE PERCENT. They allowed fraud to take place... they received money... the thief got her product, and I'm left holding the bag. Find other places to shop if at all possible.

I recently tried to purchase a dress form from Overstock, which is a pretty hefty purchase. I first went to their website. The item I wanted was currently out of stock. I discovered that the item was available on their sister eBay store. So I bought it. I waited several days for the tracking information, which was never given to me. The week it was supposed to be delivered, I got an email saying my order had been cancelled because of a stock shortage. I was disappointed, but what could I do? The same day, one of the same item came in stock on the website for almost double the price. This was very suspicious to me. It took a couple of emails from me to even get a response, and even then the response was very defensive and somewhat rude. I've asked for them to give me the option to buy at the original price, but I doubt much will come out of it. Very disappointed with them and their customer service.

I ordered a phone endoscope from them and when I read the description, it said "OS", Android, etc. The cost was around $15. When I received the item, it would not work on my iPhone. I emailed them telling them that the endoscope would not work on my phone. They then told me that it's only for Android. I honestly thought that "OS" was what my iPhone's operating system.
In order to get a refund, they want me to mail it "back to China"!!! The cost is $19. I told them that I wanted to ship it back to them at a domestic address and they said NO. I also told them that I refuse to spend more than the item is worth, and explained to them that they need to make the description more clearer like, "Will not work on iPhones." I'm really pissed that they won't do anything about this. I'm reporting them to the BBB, and will file a claim (dispute) with my credit card company... Then they'll have to pay.

Overstock.com is a terrible online retailer. You should not be able to advertise free shipping and free returns on your home page then be able to state the same policy on the purchase page and then provide a disclaimer about a restocking fee is small lettering or somewhere buried in the contractual language at the time of purchase. This is just pure deceit!!! Then their customer service people are just outright rude and not very helpful. Any company that is willing to lose clients over menial amounts like $25.00 or $50.00 because of your false advertising and disclaimers built into one of the many confirmation pages before a purchase which is deceitful will not be in business for very long. I do not lose customers in my business over menial amounts and poor customer service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ITEM FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!!!

If anyone is considering purchasing from Overstock I would think twice. I purchased some pictures which had two sizes to pick from, there were no dimensions on the size differences, I tried to contact customer service to no avail. So I emailed them still to no avail. I should have just stopped there but I really liked the pictures and could not buy them in Australia. So I bought the large size whatever that might have been. After waiting four or so weeks still no pictures had arrived. I emailed them asking where my pictures were and yes no reply. So I went on the live chat. The lady told me because it was an international delivery she could not help me... No surprises there.
After a another conversation on the live chat link I was eventually emailed by an international representative who informed me that due to a technical issue my pictures had not moved out of America. She told me she would keep me informed on the delivery status, after some time I was informed that my order was being cancelled because the pictures had been returned to sender. I am so furious. I am still waiting for my refund, I will never shop there again and advise any would be buyers to beware!

On March 26, 2018 We ordered the Sleep Zone Supreme 10-inch Latex and Memory Foam Split King-size Adjustable Mattress Set. There have been many calls attempting to retrieve the company name and tracking number on the bed. The first call was on April 8, then April 9, with no information provided except they would let the oversize item team know to look into it. Called back on April 11, after contact I was sent an email from Ceceli ** that she was looking into the issue. Called back on April 14, could not obtain any information only that they would have the oversize team look into the issue. Called on April 16, and Ceceli ** was able to provide me with the shipping company of Updike shipping.
Contacted Updike and was told that the bed would be delivered on April 20, 2018 between 12 pm and 4 pm. Was told that I would receive a call about 30 minutes before delivery. Well on April 20th at 11:49 am I received a text from Updike shipping. The message stated that the bed would be delivered on Monday. I called and talk to Scott who informed me that there is nothing he can do and Monday was the best he could offer. I did inform him of the fact that I cannot go an entire weekend with no bed due to back issues. I asked if there was any way he could get it to me on Saturday and was told no they do not have drivers on the weekend. Told him to set it up for Monday and that I would be contacting Overstock because this is unacceptable.
I then contacted Overstock and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was asked if he could help me and I explained to him that many people have attempted with no success and I would like to speak to a supervisor. He asked, "Can you tell me what is going on?" Why deny allowing me to speak to a supervisor? So this guy proceeds to tell me that YET AGAIN he will escalate this to the oversize team. I asked if I could speak with someone in that department and was denied because they “Do not have a direct line”. So here I sit with the Overstock credit card wanting me to make payment and they can’t even get the bed to me.

We are remodeling our Leasing Office. We ordered 2 couches and 2 area rugs. A couple days after placing the order, I received an email saying the order had been cancelled. When I tried to contact Overstock.com about this, no one could give me a straight answer as to why the order was cancelled. Finally after multiple phone calls and live text chat, we found out because my name is not on the company credit card the order was cancelled. So we try to place the order again over the phone with the agent.
We explained multiple times we wanted 2 couches and the 2 area rugs. Not only did the agent only charge us for 1 couch, they failed to add in our discount code so we were charged incorrect prices. When we asked if they could rush ship us the furniture due to the inconvenience, they said sorry, they have no control over shipping. When we called back to add the 2nd couch and get the discount code, we were told they could not add the discount to the order. So we had to cancel everything to get the discount. Then after cancelling, we are told they are having computer problems and could not place our order at this time. Very piss poor customer service.

We ordered two glass and metal display cabinets. In the description, there was a note that the needed assembly. We were emailed a contact of someone Overstock had recommended. After three attempts, and no response, we decided to hire a carpenter on our own. After the items arrived, our carpenter came to start the assembly. After nearly completing the work, he pointed out that the metal frame was dented right across the front, and in two other places. We still had to pay him $500 for the time he worked. I called Overstock, and was assured that they would reimburse us. Two days later when we received the return goods authorization, we were told that they would not be paying for the carpenter. This is just BAD BUSINESS. They sent defective products, and did not stand behind them. OVERSTOCK IS NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY!

I bought a piece of jewelry during a financing promotional period: two months later come to find out that the financing option they offered was not applied to my account. I immediately contacted the customer service team who admitted that “not applying the promotional rate is a common problem” and she would escalate. Two weeks later, with no response, I contacted them again where I got a runaround between the Comenity Bank and Overstock. Worst call experience and it was clear their financing scam to gain interest was more important than keeping a client. Closed the account immediately and will never shop with them again. If you are thinking of purchasing with this company... Think twice.

It was my first time ordering with this company a couple weeks ago. Was excited to few cute things for my new office at work. I ordered an ottoman/bench, sunburst mirror and a decorative pillow for the bench. Pillow was fine. The sunburst mirror came first. Ha... What a joke. The pic looked like it was metal and very beautiful in a rose gold color. I would have thought at 39.99 with a 4 inch mirror that the rest of it would have been gorgeous. NOTTT. The thing was delivered with very obvious paint blotches everywhere and a mirror half popping out. Talked to vendor directly, they sent another one, less damaged but quality was that of soft aluminum.
Then 2 days later I get my $90 ottoman. Take it out of packaging and every flipping leg was loose. Couldn't screw in to save its life so obviously the innard screw mechanisms were stripped. So they're sending me another one that I need to take my time in shipping the other one back once I receive (and hoping not flawed). In the meantime, because I had these items delivered to my company have had several people ask what's wrong with the items as they've been part of the unboxing. What's worse? I chatted with Overstock.com about my overall dissatisfaction about being a new customer and essentially 1 for 3. They wouldn't even entertain the complaint. So ** overstock. Taking my business back to Amazon or Mayfair where it's respected!

I can't believe this happened. I placed an order on 4/5, received a promo coupon on 4/6, called on 4/6 to ask if they can apply this coupon to my order and they wouldn't do it because they have a 24 hour period to be able to apply and although my request was within 1 day, it was 3 hours over my placed order time. It's not the amount, it's the principle. Terrible customer service policy! I don't write reviews but this is ridiculous.

Both stated it was the other company’s responsibility to process the return. I HATE DEALING WITH OUTSOURCED PEOPLE!! All either side would do is regurgitate policy. They wouldn’t problem solve. My experience with Overstock after 4 months was terrible. I bought in Overstock around August 2018 a desk and a chair. Both arrived without any issue. The products, in general, were satisfactory but, later almost two months before that my promotional rate expired, they were charging me almost $40.00 in interest for a $90 total amount that remains in my account with them. Means that they were applying an interest rate higher than 38%, that is an evident abuse. I used to buy online all of the time without any issue like that I had with this company, Overstock doesn't care about the customer, and definitely, I won't recommend them.

I purchased 2 chaise lounge chairs from Overstock. The first one was received damaged and the second has yet to be delivered. I contacted Overstock about the damaged chair and was told I had to deal with the seller. They could not help me. Well the seller is in China. After hours of trying I was able to get the email of the "Seller". I contacted them via email. Their response, "Get the product repaired locally," and they could help me pay for the repair. This is a brand new item - I should not have to have it repaired let along go through all the trouble and time to get it repaired.
I called Overstock and they again told me I have to deal with the vendor that they have no responsibility following the sale. I am still waiting for the second chair to arrive as they now tell me it may have been lost in transit. Please for your own well-being think twice before doing business with Overstock because as soon as they take your money they wash their hand with you and turn you over to someone in another county for service.

Ordered a memory foam Cali King mattress and box spring. The mattress arrived today, and I am pleased with the ship time. However, the box spring isn't expected to arrive until April 4th. The problem is, a memory foam mattress should NOT stay in the packaging for more than 72 hours for maximum inflation. With no box spring, I cannot open the mattress yet. This is aggravating, as the boxspring won't be here for another 6 days, well past the 72 hours.
Due to the weight of a fully expanded memory foam California king mattress it is unreasonable to inflate then wait 6 days for box spring to arrive to move it. I ordered them at the same time on the same day. There was NO notice that the box spring would take 6 extra days to get here. Sagar, the customer service rep didn't give a rat's rear end.
Told me to inflate the mattress and wait for the box spring. These weigh several hundred lbs and if you move them after inflation you risk separation. The mattress and box spring were ordered same day same time and expected same day. Their own website says inflate within 72 hours for maximum inflation. Box spring isn't expected for another 6 days, well outside of the 72 hours. I would like an apology, an explanation, compensation, something, anything. This is bs. I will NOT be using Overstock again.

I lost the TV. They did not refund fully. People don’t buy anything from them. They don’t take any responsibility for their faults. I lost 60 percent of my money because of their stupid mistake, they did not refund me fully. They instead abandoned the product rather than clearing the product. Their so called international specialist Karina hardly sits more than 20 minutes in her office. She did not even had the courtesy to tell me that they are abandoning the package. I had paid for custom duty and everything and also lost and damage charges. Still I only got. 40 percent of refund. Rest of 60 percent was eaten up by FedEx and Overstock. Jerks. They may look like offering cheap products but their customer service is horrible. Save your hard earned money and shop elsewhere.

I ordered an item from Overstock.com (Overpriced.com)! The delivery service, EFW, they use has been holding the product in L.A. for 2 weeks. I contacted EFW via email and then by phone. Both times they claim to have been trying to reach me to set up a delivery date and time. False! No one has tried to reach me before or after speaking with them. I contacted Overstock customer service and all you get is a poor excuse of a customer service agent who said "OK" about five hundred times and then a phony excuse they are sending a message to their shipping department to have them contact EFW. More run around. I want the product I paid for!!

I ordered a luggage set. 2 hours later I requested a cancel. The rep told me they can't cancel orders because they are sent to the warehouse, however they would get a specialized associate on it immediately and see what they could do about canceling my order advertised as 2 day shipping. I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours. My order sat in processing status from 10:30 am Saturday until 12:30 pm on Monday. Then almost 48 hours later was shipped. No one contacted me and they shipped the order anyway. I will never do business with Overstock again, and I have been letting everyone I know about their terrible service and the other reviews with the same problem I had. The 2 day shipping is false. You will not receive the order in 2 days, they will wait to ship it for 2 days. All you will get is a chat live option and a response full of lies.

I placed an order on 3/19/2018 for (4) sets of snowshoes. On 3/21/2018 three of the four arrived. I immediately contacted their customer service department to notify them of the issue. After 40 minutes of back and forth "Chat" emails I was forced into waiting another 24 hours to see if the missing box showed up. The reason for this is UPS picks up in bulk and the website showed all four boxes were received. On 3/22 I contacted their Chat line again stating the box never arrived. After another 40 minutes of frustrating "Chats" I was told a replacement order #** would be sent out and I should received email confirmation in 48 hours.
On 3/26 I contacted their Chat line once again asking for the status of the replacement order. Pushed out once again saying it would ship out by the end of business on 3/27. Today is 03/28 another 40 minutes of my day wasted. The #** order has been canceled and I see another order #** is on my account. Overstock is outsourcing their customer service department and you are unable to speak with an actual representative. Their responses while cordial are not at all helpful and standard pre-written lines. Not until I asked for a full refund was the second order issued. No offer of any sort of discount for my inconvenience and if I am lucky I will receive the snowshoes next week which will do me no good since I would be going back up to the snow this season.

I still have yet to receive my item (Facial skin care) purchase May 2017! I still have the emails of my "confirmation purchase" and I've sent about 5 emails regarding my order, and for some dang reason I can't seem to get a reply? I'm so frustrated, I don't know what to do other than no longer purchase from them (as this was my first ever time purchasing online through Overstock.com) and discourage others from any future purchases. I'm bummed! I was really looking forward to being a returning customer, as I thought they had great prices. Guess it's too good to be true? :(

I hated their customer service. I never received the set of perfume and lotion I ordered. I contact customer service, they sent me from one place to the other. Nobody takes accountability, all of them said they tried to contact me, but they don't say how and when. Until I got a person saying he cannot prove he contacted me to tell me there was a problem with my order, and just said he would argue with me. This is the last time I get something from you. According to your customer service the money was refund, I will check again with my bank.

I am typing this now on my new computer that I bought from Overstock.com. So far I have not had any issues, but I know with this one in particular I have to give it a couple of days to make sure it is not going to give me any problems. Regardless, the biggest issue I have with Overstock.com is that they are with UPS. I was suppose to get my item on Tuesday and it took them four days. The main reason being that someone had to be home to sign for the package. I work second shift, 3 PM to 11:30 PM, and the awful UPS trucks here in Maryland do not deliver around my area until after about 6 PM.
Even today they came extra late and I did not even get my item until 7:50 PM. When I kept calling Overstock.com to ask about taking the signature off they told me that the people who ship the items are different from them. So Overstock.com are a Drop Shipping company and it shows. They told me nothing could be done with it so I ended up having to take a total of 3 days off to try and be home for this package.
Again the item I got from them so far is doing fine and I plan to update in a couple of weeks so people know if I had to return it for a new one. But to be honest, I would avoid going with them. They are a drop shipper connected with UPS and it's nothing more than a major headache. I do not plan on going with them again sadly because of it.

I bought a dresser along with other items, the dresser package arrived with one piece snapped in half. I put it together and called their customer service for the one part I needed and they did not have it in Stock so now they are shipping another 200 pound package and I have to go through it to find the part and ship the rest back to them. Lousy company. They should have just pulled out the piece that was needed and shipped only that. Also the furniture is made of cheap particle board bought from China in bulk and resold for big profit. I will never buy from this reseller again. Also some of their customer service people are very rude. Stay away from Overstock.com.

The company has offered to honor the original price for the products, as soon as they are restocked from their supplier. We can call them and request to place the order again with the original price as soon as the item shows stock through a Case #, they provided to us.

We made 2 orders for an item - 1st order #** for a set of 2 chairs (2 units) and 2nd order #** for 2 sets of 2 chairs (4 units) - on February 11th and were charged to our credit card for both orders. We receive the first order within 3 to 5 business days. After more than a month, we received an email from Overstock saying that our second order has been cancelled and they are refunding us because the demand for the item has been "overwhelming" and they are out of stock.
The irony is in the same cancelation email they promote another item, which according to what we could see, is the same item at a higher price. When we talk to Dedin **, a customer care supervisor at Overstock, he tells us that although the items look similar, they are different items. We zoom on the item details and compare it with the 2 chairs we had received and they were exactly the same. He mentions to us that they are different items, different country of origins, different colors, different backs, different shapes for the back. The only thing different that we could see was the company name and the item name making it appear that they were from different companies. What we could see is that either they linked the same picture to both the items by error, OR they do not want to sell the item at the earlier lower price that they committed to us at the time of our order.
The resolution that Overstock supervisor gave me is that since the item is out of stock, they can add us to an email alert list where they will let us know when the item is back in stock, but THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE US THE PRICE THAT WAS AVAILABLE ON FEB 11th. We would have preferred to know that the item is out of stock OR they cannot deliver me the items on the price that they committed, within a couple of business days of our purchase, not after more than a month of purchase, so that we would have continued shopping for other options OR/and return the first order, to purchase 6 units of the same chair.

I owed on a back bill. I did a payment plan with them, which they were authorized to take a payment out every month tell it was paid off. The last payment of 25.78 was never taken out. I called about it and got a lady who said it was a mistake on their end and it was taken care of. I am now receiving bills for back payment on an account that was paid off. No one will contact me back. Every time I call, I get hung up on or rude people saying I owe this and I have to pay on it. I am truly upset Overstock allows this type of behavior. Wouldn't you rather fix the problem, instead of causing a bigger one?

I was a frequent buyer of Overstock.com products until I ordered a sheet set...described as blue it was a horrible hospital green that did not fit right at all. I found that to return the item would cost me far more in restocking fees than what I paid for the item to begin with. I wrote a review to that effect and Overstock refused to publish it. I have not purchased from Overstock since. Be sure to read the fine print. I’m disgusted by their recent commercials. Beware. Do not purchase from Overstock.com.

I called and placed an order for matching colors in covers. I ordered a total of 4. I received only 3. 1 loveseat in chocolate, 1 sofa in green and 1 sofa in cream so as you can see not even a matching set. I called, explained I not only got 3 and not one even matched and was still missing 1. They were to send me the other chocolate sofa and the cream loveseat. It has been a nightmare trying to get my complete order. I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM OVERSTOCK AGAIN.

I went to make a payment on their credit card's website yesterday on my due date and the website was not working properly. It wouldn't allow me to select the amount to pay. This morning I spoke with a customer service representative about the issue and she admitted the website wasn't working but told me they were going to charge me a late fee anyway. I asked to speak to a manager and the woman she transferred me to said the website has been fine even though the prior rep said it wasn't. I had her again transfer me to an account manager. This account manager told me there was nothing they could do and even told me it must be my browser even after the first rep admitted the site wasn't working properly. She said they couldn't do anything even though I told them they would be losing a good customer. Epic failure for their customer service team. Needless to say I won't be purchasing anything anymore from this poor excuse for an organization.

I generally do not save credit card information on online accounts. If the NSA can be hacked... If it is a site I want to use again, I alter the credit card information so it is not correct until I go to use it again. I tried to change my credit card info on Overstock.com and was told I could only do that when completing a purchase. My guess is that if I changed the card while completing a purchase the changes wouldn't stay because now the credit card is invalid; and I can't complete the purchase. I don't want to purchase from this company ever again. I tried to cancel my whole account but was told that I could deactivate it by entering a bogus email address, but that doesn't change the fact that my credit card information is still out there. I ended up changing the address linked to the credit card so at least it can't be used. Buyer beware...

Ordered chairs from overstock.com, one set of chairs arrived. They were the wrong height (based off the description online). I went online to chat with a rep who was friendly, then informed me it was $20/box to return them and to refuse delivery of the 2nd box. I will not be home to refuse delivery and overstock refuses to do a return to sender. I was emailed the label for the first set, contacted UPS for a pick up and they want anywhere from $5-$15 to pick up a box unless the company calls and requests a pick up. Contacted overstock, they will not call UPS and schedule a pick up. On top of it the rep did not understand and wanted to send me another label and pick up and charge me $27.20 for it. Worst customer service, needless to say I will not be buying anything from them ever and will take my business elsewhere.

I was buying 1 comforter and before I hit purchase they charged my Visa double the amount and did not send me a confirmation so I have no reference number just an amount charged to my Visa. I attempted an online chat and twice they asked for my number. They advised me to cancel preauthorisation with my bank. I have no idea what that even means but I will be contacting my bank. The charge came from Fedex Rydalmere.

I ordered a bed frame and headboard from Overstock. I received numerous emails, texts and phone calls confirming delivery on 2/9/18 at 4 pm. So, in order to make room for our new bed, we sold our old one. At 4 pm on 2/9/18, I received a phone call stating the delivery guy informed their dispatch that our bed frame and headboard was not on their truck. How come I received so many confirmations? Don't they check their deliveries? I was told they do not know what happened and because it was Friday they would get back to me next week because they close on the weekend!!! My husband and I would have to sleep on the floor!!! I called Overstock. A guy called "Dallas" answered the phone. Before I could complete my conversation, he interrupted yelling loudly and very rude and hung up!!! I was shocked. This is their customer service. I canceled my order and will NEVER buy from them again! TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!

I have created this account just because I want to write a review about Overstock. I have never faced such bad customer service. I have bought a computer table with Overstock and 3 pieces came damaged. I called Customer care and informed them the situation. They gave me a different number and said I need to speak with them. I called the other number and waited for 45 min and no response. I called Overstock back and told them that I don't want the furniture and I am going to return it. I was shocked with their response. They told me I have to call the same number and find out how I should return it. This is ridiculous that I have to go through this. I am never going to buy furniture from Overstock and do not recommend for anyone to do so.

I created this account just to complain about Overstock, I have experience so much bait and switch. I don't know why I kept going back. 1/2 of the art I purchased looked nothing like the picture, nice pic online and you get garbage in the mail. The final straw was today, I purchased a mattress topper for my son's bed. What arrived in the mail was a joke, the foam had been compressed so much that it was very hard (probably due to extreme compression in packaging), rumpled, stunk like chemicals and was wrapped in Saran wrap. I hurt myself just trying to unfold it. How could this ever go on a bed?? I paid $80 for this garbage. I am so disgusted. Overstock also moderates their reviews and if you ever say bait and switch they will not post your review, yet this is what they do most of the time. This company is not ethical or honest.

I ordered a sofa and 2 loveseats. The sofa had no back to it. I promptly contacted them, and they had to ask me at least 8 times, over the course of at least 7 days, what the problem was. They wanted me to send them pictures, which I did send on 3 separate occasions. Again, they wanted more pictures, to a different e-mail. Instead of just coordinating this themselves, I needed to forward more pictures. They told me I could throw away the boxes to the loveseats, so I did. Meanwhile, I have been hanging on to a useless sofa, a sofa box, and a corner piece that I didn't order. Their solution was to have me send back the sofa (which I understand) along with a loveseat. They were ordered as a set, but I have no box for the loveseat, and frankly I want the loveseat because it is nice. I told them I will not do this. They told me I could go buy a box to put the loveseat in and they'd reimburse me for the box.
This is unbelievable. Rather than find a way to bend the rules to offer a credit, I have to find a box, and ship back multiple things, and hold onto all of this useless furniture for 2-5 days. Then I got one more e-mail today, asking me if I received the backrest, because they claim that all of the boxes were delivered. They were delivered with no backrest and a corner piece that I didn't order. As I showed in several pictures I already sent them. I am very disappointed, and will likely never use them again. It's unfortunate, because I had previously had good experiences, but can't waste so much time, especially because this is a place of business.

The item was awful! Shrank more than 6 inches in 1 wash, horrible color, nothing like the picture, customer service on returns so bad! 2 months on, still no refund and made me pay return postage for a clearly faulty good. I would steer clear of using this company at all to be honest.

I bought a dining table and two months later come to find out that the financing option that they offered was not even applied to my financing which they offered. Then I tried to contact to get the error corrected and got a runaround between the Comenity Bank and Overstock. Worst call experience and no one willing to assist. I could take all of this if the furniture was of good quality but it was the worst I have ever seen. Will not choose them for anything.

I ordered the Turkish towels on January 8. This was the second time I ordered something from Overstock and it wasn't delivered on time and I had many, many troubles trying to get them delivered. I ended up never getting them. I ordered them again on January 8, and they sent me an email saying they were "shipped". Well, they were not actually shipped, based on what the customer service rep, "Liz" told me. A shipping label was generated only. I am not at that residence that often and I needed the towels. On January 17, I called to cancel the order because I knew that it would never get to me in time, and I was told it was cancelled, I received an email that it was cancelled. And today, 1/29... It was delivered to an address that I will not be at. I will never order from this company again!!! I'm not submitting a receipt because it has a bunch of personal information that I don't want to provide on the internet.

I never received my item (cart with wine rack) and am completely upset with how this company handles transactions. I placed my order 1/13 and was told it should be delivered by 1/22. On 1/22 I did not receive my item and was informed at 9:30pm via email that for unforeseen circumstances they were not able to ship and if I did not receive my item within 30 days then I would get a refund. Why would I wait 30 days to find out if I could possibly get an item I wanted and PAID for?!?! I reached out to customer support and was told they reached out to the shipping dept and would let me know the status in 2 days.
I then received an email telling me the item was sold out and they would refund my money. Shouldn't you know how many items you have in stock and not sell people stuff you don't have?! I found the same exact item still being advertised on the Overstock website and the price it was on sale for was more than the original price for the item when I originally bought it! It said it was originally marked at $79.99 and now it is on sale for $80. This just shows that you refused to send my item because you wanted to markup the price. This is the most terrible company and I will NEVER order from here again! Plus, I still haven't received my refund. Don't charge people for things you don't even have in stock!

I placed an order with Overstock.com, though actually it was with mrvacandmrssew.com. The Overstock website showed one thing. The actual vendor claims it was another. I even went to the manufacturer's website (iRobot.com) and verified what I'd seen, but the vendors says it wasn't so. All I want is an authorization for return and a refund. Instead I get endless runarounds.
