I order 2 LG black stainless laundry pedestals from Overstock.com, where returns are supposed to be easy. It is not easy at all. I requested a replacement several times for the item arriving damaged and got no response. Finally I grew frustrated and have requested a refund. When I finally did get a response and followed their instructions, sent pictures of damages and boxes via email and text. They responded with asking for more pictures. It has been 2 weeks and I still have not return labels or help.

Their description says: "Pamper yourself with this plush duvet cover set. Featuring hypoallergenic materials to accommodate sensitive sleepers, this microfiber duvet set includes a spotless white cover that gives your bedroom an air of five-star luxury, and the machine-washable fabric ensures effortless upkeep." What you get is 2 sheets stitched together - NOTHING plush nor HOTEL QUALITY about it. And a word of warning to you THEY CHARGE YOU TO RETURN. It's not their fault "YOU MISUNDERSTOOD" the description. I will be closing my account with them. Shady at best company. There are no great deals.

I ordered a wool area rug that was discounted to a price almost too good to be true. I received a jute and leather rug nothing like the rug I ordered except for size. When I then looked on their website the rug I ordered was out of stock. It is apparent to me they switched the item on purpose without my consent.

I ordered the items and they shipped around April 10, estimated to arrive the next week. They shipped and the company took my payment. Now it is April 27 and there is still no sign of them. I did get through to the chat once and was told that they are at the border. This was about a week ago. There is still no information about where the items are and Overstock will not allow me to cancel them.
I am moving and the address for my shipment, if it ever arrives, will change in two days. I have tried to reach the chat again and have been waiting for 30 minutes with no sign of a response from the chat. Even in covid, this is the worst shipping experience I have had. The person I contacted the first time was quite blunt about how little responsibility they take for their shipments. Do not order from Canadian overstock site! It's just an exercise in frustration.

They oversold an item I purchased & really needed for organizational purposes. I can't believe no one contacted me to see if I even wanted a refund on the item I purchased; they couldn't just send me something comparable at least? There's another item just like it for sale on their site, but it's more expensive & shorter than the item I purchased.
I'm extremely disappointed & won't be using Overstock again... I was overjoyed to find the item, completely willing to wait for it, why did it take four days for someone to realize they'd oversold? What kind of operation are they running to even oversell an item to begin with? I strongly question the reliability of their site & it's clear their customer service values are defunct: barely an apology, had to wait four days to be informed, a simple refund, no offer to solve the issue in any other way, comparable item is more expensive & less useful... Unfortunate.

I ordered drapes more than 10 days ago, and they still have not shipped. Tried to get help, and just got a run around of how the delivery date is just estimated. I get that, but it is 2 days past the estimated delivery, and they still have not even shipped. They just said it should be "soon". Apparently, they can't cancel or give refunds right now either. So basically, they have my money, and I have nothing, and have no idea when and if they will ever ship.
They should at least let me cancel or give me a refund. I get that the virus has slowed things down, but you can't just take people's money, not ship, and not give the option of a refund. I will never buy from this company ever again. I have seen reviews, which I should have looked at before, but I assumed they were reputable, since they are a well known company. But they had bad reviews even before the virus, so they are using it to their advantage I guess, and now won't even refunds. I feel like at this point, they are just stealing people's money at the time they need it most.

I purchased items; utility cart/ bathroom towel tower/ Wireless Video Doorbell/Carpet runner and nonskid underpad. Overstock.com is selling flimsy poor quality products at the HIGHEST prices. I usually make my purchases from BIG LOTS BC the product quality is excellent for the prices charged. This is a one and DONE for my purchasing experience with Overstock.com. NEVER NEVER AGAIN.

If I could mark a negative I would! WORST company I have ever done online shopping with! HORRIBLE! They are "overstocked" because they are total CRAP and do false advertising! I ordered quote, "Superior Linen Insulated Thermal Blackout Grommet Curtain Panels" that are ANYTHING but "Blackout." I need blackout and upon asking about returning the panels this shady company wants over $30.00 in return mailing fees! They suck, falsely advertise, and make customers pay for their false advertising errors. I advise everyone to stay away from this company, and I will NEVER shop from Overstock again, and let EVERYONE I know exactly how shady they are!

A 2ft Tall privacy screen...REALLY? To return anything here is difficult. They didn't acknowledge I mailed my order back...and they asked me if I wanted to pay for shipping or if I wanted Overstock to...of course I chose Overstock to...and they charged me $18 for the shipping label!!! Amazon is much better, I should of known to stick with them.

Ordered 3/22 with an ETA of 3/30. ETA goes by with no update. 4/1 They assign a UPS tracking number, by 4/7 tracking has not updated and UPS claims they have not received the package. 4/10 they cancel the order completely, leaving me completely out. Will not use Overstock again and would not recommend.

My review was denied by Overstock on their site due to abusive language. In my opinion, says a lot about company's ethics by denying poor reviews... Very poor service, will not respond on orders in process. My opinion is not to order anything until the current covid 19 situation is over. And as of today 4/10 after weeks have cancelled order for lack of product. I stand by my opinion above.

Recently I ordered a pair of women's sandals ($70 price). The shoes arrived in a terrible, unwearable condition! When I first opened the box, a horrible musty odor filled the whole room. The shoes were covered with a thick layer of dirt, mud and mold. There were some big letters written in black marker on the insoles... Honestly, I was disgusted to even touch those shoes! Overstock refused to help with the return. What a frustrating, shocking experience! SHAME ON THE COMPANY! NEVER AGAIN! Overstock used to be a nice company, but now they don't even deserve a zero star review! Do not buy from them - save your money and nerves!

Overstock sent me the wrong color Floor Lamp today and when I requested a return; they charged me $18.63 for their mistake! After I spent $150 plus tax, and waited a week to receive it???? They asked me for a review & when I tried to post this comment, they denied my review and told me to edit my review to receive discounts for future purchases and added this comment: Whoops! Ordered the 10k Yellow or White Gold Men's 3/5ct TDW Diamond Ring (White gold one) and was not impressed. The weight and feel seemed way too light along with the quality of diamonds makes it look cheaply made for the price. I would say the max price should be near maybe $350-400. Besides that, it was missing a diamond and had a small noticeable dent in it. Not a really big deal but if I pay that much for something, it should be flawless in regards to craftsmanship.
Contacted them for a replacement and they processed the claim. Due to COVID-19, the replacement process has came to a halt. Contacted them 3/25/2020 and they assured me the item would ship by the weekend (3/27/2020). Here it is (3/30/2020) and not even an email or update on my return status. I go back to the site and look for the same ring and now it says it's out of stock. I plan on keeping the replacement (whenever it decides to get here) and making a custom ring with other diamonds I have in other rings and adding more gold to add to the weight. Attached are photos of the ring (which shows the missing diamond) along with my other ring (which is of a higher quality) to compare the size of how big and thin this ring is. Can only upload 3 pictures so I am not able to show every angle to show all the details. But as far as buying from Overstock again, that will not be an option ever again.

We purchased a roll of 1/4" elastic from Overstock during the early stages of the shutdown over COVID-19 as my 11 year-old daughter who sews wanted to help by making face masks for frontline healthcare workers due to the shortage. I ordered through Overstock because it's been a trustworthy source in the past. They took many days before they shipped the package. Once I finally got notice it shipped, I found out almost 10 DAYS LATER they never gave the package to UPS!! Now, they can't find it and are completely out of stock. We were told there isn't anything they can do.
I suspect since elastic has been in such high demand, someone may have taken off with it before it was placed in the box, but can't say for sure. We are so disappointed Overstock did not come through on this. My 11-year-old was so looking forward to helping and because of Overstock's failure to provide the product, we are not able to help. Very disappointing and won't be purchasing again from them in the future.

I ordered two large rugs from Walmart Marketplace that just so happened to come from Overstock.com. I read the return policy several times in several places on the website before completing the purchase (Free shipping and returns). One rug looked cheap and didn't lay flat after being on the floor for over a week. The other one was supposed to be grey and it was cream. I went through the return process through Walmart Marketplace and they referred me to Overstock. After two emails from me and messages from Walmart customer service over a two week period they still had not responded.
Finally I called Walmart and they transferred me directly to Overstock customer service. The representative with Overstock was rude, accused me a lying about the quality and color, and said I would have to pay the return shipping costs for both rugs. I talked with three different people at Overstock until one of them said to go through Walmart and they would take care of me. So basically they use Walmart's Marketplace to sell their product and then expect Walmart to eat the shipping costs on any returns. In the end, Walmart did take care of the situation and I will never shop at Overstock again - directly or through any Marketplace.

Overstock.com offered to have the large package picked up at my residence. I had meanwhile assembled the chaise and informed Overstock.com accordingly and requested a price adjustment. Overstock.com gave me an appropriate price adjustment. I am happy with having been able to come to a satisfactory conclusion.

On March 18, 2020 I ordered chaise item # 3571-SGL made by International Caravan, Inc. in color "red" from Overstock.com. They confirmed that the order was for the chaise in "red". Payment was done, item shipped. On March 23, 2020 I received the package. It contained the chaise, but in the wrong color - brown. Upon contacting Overstock.com I was told that the company was sorry that I was not happy with my purchase and that a return was being initiated and that I had to bring the package to a UPS location for return. I responded that I have no way to take this large box to a UPS location and they could pick it up at my residence. I have not received any reply from Overstock.com and will not purchase from Overstock.com again.

In the far past and recent past I have ordered from Overstock and been satisfied with the furniture and service. No big problems where I needed to contact the company. THEN I needed to make a return. Overstock bent over backwards to make my life a living hell. I cannot get the chair to recline and even injured my hip (yes I've become that old!) trying. When I asked for a return, the Overstock employee said, "Let's call the company that made the chair." The woman we talked to said "Yes, this particular chair is stiff and difficult to recline." I asked for a refund because it's impossible for me to recline and I got an email from Oversized Returns, saying "Sure- you can return it for 202.OO return fee." Yep- and the chair only cost 650.00.
I talked to another employee who graciously agreed it was not my fault that I couldn't get the chair to recline and said she was contacting Oversized Returns and would tell them to not charge for the return. So, still waiting for an overdue email or call from Oversized Returns. I decided to call again, waited for 1 and 1/2 hours and a nice woman answered and agreed with everything I said and said she would set up the return again- but Oversized Returns will have to contact me and they have two more days to do it. More hours of time spent- and I'm in exact same place. If I ever get this resolved, I may rethink this well deserved 1 star review.

Sounds to me like someone in the company got first dibs on the item I ordered. I will never shop with them again. Thank you.

I ordered a 13" mattress and captain's bed, the mattress is too big (*tall) for the bed, it blocks the bookcase headboard. Overstock wants me to box it up and take it to UPS for free return, then when they get it I will get a store credit.... I am a 61 year old disabled woman, how am I to box up a full size mattress and put it in my little car, drive to UPS and unload it? They did not understand or care!!!! When you order a mattress online, it comes vacuum sealed and compressed into a little package (that you have to leave set and "AIR" up for days). Pray tell, how do I compress this and package it up. THEN....I got "you mean you opened the package", well DUH! How else am I to know it is to big for the bed. I had to order a new mattress as I need a bed, NOW I have to wait until they get this one, and give me a store credit, and I get to buy something else.
I am cancelling my membership and will never order from them again!!! I am beyond frustrated after 2 hours and 2 different customer service reps, who did NOT understand that I can not FOLD UP a 13 inch mattress and put it in a box and take it to UPS, only to find I have to get a store credit. This company is a rip-off, read the fine print.

Placed my order over the weekend, not shipped out on Wednesday. Contacted and was told it would ship out that day. Still nothing on Thursday, contacted again and was told to wait 1-2 days. Then on Friday got the cancellation, saying oos. Wait for a week then OOS? Why can't they notify earlier? Funny thing is that others who placed order after me, got theirs! So is that random sending orders out?

I purchased several items for my new apartment, a dresser and night stand of the same brand, a bed frame, a couple of items to hang on the wall, and a set of sheets/a comforter. Everything except for the Dresser and Night Stand are great. However, the Dresser and Night Stand are of horrible quality, and not as pictured. I built both items, the drawers don’t line up with the frame, the drawers fall out any time you try to get an item out, etc. I contacted Overstock.com, and they told me, that even though the items are utterly useless, and not what is portrayed online, I was required to pay $200 in return shipping charges. The only way to get a full refund (in store credit) and not pay for shipping was to join their O membership so I can have 3 returns a month, so I did that. They tell me I can easily use the return shipping label and take it to UPS.
That didn’t sound right to me as I’d already told them I’d put the items together and didn’t think I could just drop off a Dresser and Night Stand unboxed to UPS. I called UPS, and you cannot do that, the items must be boxed up. So I e-mailed Overstock back, and asked about Daily Pick Up because, as I’d already stated to them, the items are already put together. They told me if I wanted to be a Daily Pick Up Customer, I’d be required to pay the return shipping fees($200), even though I’d already purchased the O membership to avoid the return shipping fees. That seems like something the associate should’ve let me know, before they told me to purchase the O membership, when I told them the items were ALREADY PUT TOGETHER. Shopping with this company feels like I’m in the twilight zone. I’ll never shop from here again.

BUYER BEWARE!! I purchased a 3 year platinum warranty plan from Overstock for a window unit heat and air that I purchased from them. It malfunctioned and I tried to file a claim and was told my warranty was no good. I purchased this warranty as an addition to the manufacturer's warranty. Per OVERSTOCK CUSTOMER SERVICE REP The 3 year warranty I purchased and paid extra for would start at the time my manufacturers 2 year warranty was over. Today I was informed that the warranty started the day I purchased it!! What a total rip off! Why would I have wanted 2 warranties at the same time??? Save your money! I am through with Overstock.com!! Wayfair is my new buddy! I intend to let the whole world know how I was cheated by overstock.com.

This is the worst company to order from. I ordered a comforter that came damaged with a pillow that was also damaged. When I called customer service they said I can send it back but it’s not a guarantee that they will accept it. It’s crazy to me that they will send the damaged items and not except returns. I would NEVER have this issue with Wayfair! I will continue to order from them I guess! Overstock was a bust!

Ordered a Rockwell 30" gas fire table. What I received did not match the product which was pictured on their advertisement. Attempted to obtain matching table top, but Overstock blamed it on the manufacturer. Plus, the Overstock Customer Service representative I spoke with was rude.

My promotional ended February 1, 2020. My credit card statement closed on the 4th before any late charges could be charged. They charged me 95.00 twice for the promotional that ended on the 1st even though my bill wasn't due until the 4th. I immediately closed my account and am now leaving Overstock.com and Comenity bank alone for real blood sucking thirsty bastard that they are.

This is a new one. I ordered a paper punch from Stuff4Crafts through Overstock. Took a while to arrive, but it was what I ordered, no problems. A month or so later I ordered another paper punch from Stuff4Crafts through Overstock. Again, took a while to arrive but when it did, there were two exact items. Assuming that Overstock would handle and correct Stuff4Crafts' error, I called customer service and asked for a return shipping label for the item I didn't order and a reversal of the charge on my bill for the item I didn't order. Overstock customer service informed me that I had in fact placed two identical orders and that if I wanted to return one of them, I would have to pay shipping and only then would they would give me a partial refund (item minus the original shipping I was billed for.) They told me I would need to discuss the matter directly with Stuff4Crafts.
I emailed Stuff4Crafts explaining in detail the situation (I thought they didn't understand what actually had happened) and they responded with the same comment that Overstock did. Frankly, I was surprised that neither Stuff4Crafts nor Overstock was willing to send me a return label and refund me the item I didn't order (in full because I didn't order it). That would be the right thing to do. Instead they are standing their ground and insisting that I ordered two of the same identical products on the same day with two different order numbers. If I wanted two identical items, I would have ordered them together anyway. What a way to run a business. Shame on Stuff4Crafts and more shame on Overstock.

I ordered a bed last night which was to be shipped via 2-day delivery. I had an argument with my landlord, and he kicked me out of the new place I started renting without a lease. I left very early in the morning and now I'm basically homeless. I obviously cannot accept this bed because I'm not even at the shipping address anymore. I hope to find a place quickly but will definitely not be able to get shipments of any kind since I am homeless and making a sudden and unexpected transition. I t live there and am not allowed on the premises.
I called Overstock.com very early to cancel this order. The CS rep told me their system is down, so he would call me back when the system is up. That is obviously not true, and the guy did not call me back. My account at Overstock.com shows the order is still being processed. It has not shipped, and there is no tracking number issued yet. As of 4:30 pm (PST), there is still no tracking number, and it shows that the order is still being processed and not shipped.
The CS reps at Overstock.com have been telling me all day that I can't cancel because the order has gone to "the warehouse." Yet it has still not been processed. Why ship a bed all the way to Los Angeles if the bed delivery will not be received or accepted?? It was not been fulfilled yet, and the bed is still in some warehouse somewhere.
I would love to have the bed if I had not been evicted without cause by my landlord. Where does Overstock think this bed is going to go. Their solution is to place a return order upon delivery of the bed. How is that going to happen if I don't live there anymore and if my landlord is going to refuse the shipment?? I requested the contact number to the warehouse to speak to someone there, but they would not give me that information.
I told them this is on them because I explained the situation very early in the day. The bed is still at the wherehouse, so what is the problem?? There is still no tracking number, so what is the problem?? I filed a dispute with PayPal, but it takes 60 days to resolve. I have copies of all my texts along with screenshots of the non-fulfillment of the order and time of the screenshots showing nothing being shipped and no tracking information being issued on my Overstock account and order. I'm very upset!!

I bought a mattress and base for my newly redecorated bedroom. The shipping was free. The tracking was very informative. The delivery men were friendly and set up my new bed in a few short minutes. They even moved my old mattress to the spare room for me. The quality of the mattress is amazing. I am sleeping so sound.

Spent over $1600 on kitchen table and chairs on Jan 29th. Table was supposed to arrive on Feb 5th, got the top of the table a few days late and the pedestal/base didn't show up. Overstock could not track it down and didn't get back to me with the fact that they are shipping another one out until Feb 17th! I've had to reach out to them to get status updates and I keep asking what they are going to do to make this right and zero response to that question. They should be giving a refund of some kind for the inconvenience, customer service is horrendous. I have three young kids eating off of random furniture right now. I would have NEVER purchased this had I known it was going to take close to a month to get here! Insanity. Never buying from overstock again!

I ordered a love seat. I paid bill. On December 26, 2019 I received a bill for $9.95. I contacted and through text messages about this "bill". It was membership dues. I didn't want membership. Was assured they'd cancel and no further action needed. January 2020 I recieved a bill from Overstock and my bill was $76.00, this time I called. They cancelled my membership. Was told I'd be getting a refund check in the amount of $30.00. Today, February 17,2020, I have received a bill from overstock stating I owe over $92.00. I AM PISSED!!!!

I ordered the merchandise on 11/29/19, the quality of the bed was not as expected for the price paid but we decided to keep it. After about a month of use we decided to wash the bed and could not get the cover off because the zipper is defective, the only way would be to break the zipper or cut it off. I tried to return the bed online but it stated I could not. I reached out to Overstock and they responded 12/24/19 they were working on it. On 12/26 overstock stated that they could not send a new cover but the item could be returned. On 12/27 they stated they tried to contact me and would try again on 12/28. I received no contact at all from Overstock and I reached out to them again on 01/08/20 to ask again if we could resolve this issue.
On 01/09/20 I received the last of e-mails, which I did not retrieve until 01/26/20 as I never saw the email come in. I did try and reach them, which most times they were closed when I called. When I finally reached them and was able to talk with a live person they stated my account was locked due to prior fraudulent activity that we cleared up and that is why I could not return the item. I was transferred to another department in which they advised me that my 90 days for a return has expired and the dog bed was used. Of course it was used silly for the first 30 days or so before we attempted to wash the item and realized the zipper was broken. So I will have to break the zipper to wash the item and potentially have a seamstress replace the zipper. Total disappointed, my business with overstock is done. Caveat emptor.

Product arrived damaged, wadded up in a ball and in a damaged box. The rug was wet and warped all over and overstock is currently out of stock of the item. I was on the phone with Customer service for over an hour and all they offered was a 27% discount. I explained repeatedly that the movers are coming and I need to put the rug down and am not able to return it and they could only offer me the 27% discount. They said they could not tell from the pics that the rug was damaged (see pics below). It is super easy to see the rug is damaged. I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me they could not do better than 27%. I would NEVER send my customer a damaged rug and make him/her beg for me to make it right! Go elsewhere for your purchases.

Their return policy is non-existent. I purchased an item that I was allergic to. It was a skin care product. I was told I could not return it and could not get a refund because it was ordered from a third party. I will never order from Overstock again.

On the advice of the salesperson at Office Depot, I ordered a printer from Overstock.com, as I thought I would save around $25 from the advertised price on Amazon. Big Mistake. Huge. I should have paid the extra $25 and I would be happily printing away by now, actually I would have been up and printing within two days of placing the order if I had stuck with Amazon. It is now 12 days past my order date, including four chat sessions in which my chat was abruptly ended without resolution and two phone calls with customer service. They still don't know where my printer is! Needless to say, I am very disappointed and my business has been crippled by this SNAFU. My advice, AVOID SHOPPING AT OVERSTOCK.COM, unless you don't mind waiting and wondering, or getting hung up on. You will notice that consumers are only allowed to rate products at Overstock.com. There is no place to leave a company review.

I am writing to tell about my experience with Overstock's so called Rewards Program called Club O. You pay $19.95 a year and in return for this payment in advance you can earn 5% on purchases as well as extra dollars for placing reviews about the items you have purchased. Sounds good if you order a reasonable amount of home items every year....right? Problem is, after you have paid for a full year, and, you have purchased items and paid for them, you have also left reviews on some for additional rewards dollars, they are removed from your account after the renewal date for another year, and you cannot use them unless you pay again for another additional year. These are rewards you earned for the current year you had already paid for, but they are removed from your account and cannot be used unless you PAY UP again to continue in the program.
This is exactly what I experienced. I paid $19.95 on Jan. 24, 2019 and it was good for a year. My renewal date was Jan. 24, 2020 and prior to that date I had $22.00 listed in rewards for purchases and reviews. I had decided that I did not want to renew again this year so I did nothing about renewing by Jan. 24, 2020. When I logged in to my account on Feb. 3, 2020, the rewards were gone. I contacted Overstock and I was told, we are sorry but in order to use your present rewards that you have already earned, you have to renew again. What a racket!! Once you join you are forced to stay if you want to claim the rewards that you basically have already paid for! Don't fall for it! Stay away from Overstock's fraudulent rewards program.

We purchased an $1100 vanity for a bathroom remodel. Product arrived without damage to box. It took a couple of months until project started and vanity was ready for install. Removed packaging to find 2 cracks in counter, several areas where counter was not polished, holes drilled in front of vanity and poorly patched, missing handle screws, and other flaws in the wood. This pushed our remodel project back 2 weeks while we ordered vanity from a reputable dealer. I was forced to redo plumbing to fit new vanity as well as move vanity lights.
Called Overstock and was told I would be contacted within 4 days. No response. Two weeks later I called and was told they were working it. Spoke with Mark and he says the case had been closed as I am outside the return window. So now I have a 5 foot $1100 vanity to take to the dump. Do not order any large furniture from Overstock for future projects! Quality is garbage and they hide behind their “policies” rather than serve their customers.

Had been looking forward to this table arriving, only to be disappointed when opening the box. According to the manufacturer this item is "distressed." NO it looks like pieces of the wood are randomly chipped. Distressed should be throughout the wood not just along the edge. As an Overstock customer I was aware of return policy (and had no reason to want to return) until seeing what I consider a defect. This item is NOT the distressed look it advertises, describes or is pictured and now I have to pay $236 to return it because someone at Overstock opinion matters more than their customer. Goodbye $236 and GOOD RIDDANCE to Overstock. I will NEVER do business with you again and will make sure my followers cease their relationship as well.

1. I was looking for a good looking TV cabinet and came across this online site. The item looked good and came on time. 2. But to my surprise, the instruction to assemble the product was not at all good if compare with Ikea. I have another TV cabinet from Ikea and instructions were perfect and to the very detail. Because of the unclear instruction, I had to reassemble multiple parts which is not good for MDF products.
3. Secondly, the product looked "Used/Returned" product. The holes in certain area were bigger than screw and very clear someone tried to assemble it before. The product also had option to apply glue (came with package), to my surprise, the glue marks were all over the 2 pieces which needed glue. I am really disappointed and never thought that I will get a used/returned product sold as new where I had hard time to assemble as you know once screws are removed in MDF, it is difficult to re-assemble them unlike wood. I have similar TV cabinet from Ikea with 3/4th price and not having these issues around quality. WILL MAKE SURE NO ONE I KNOW WILL EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PATHETIC COMPANY...

I bought a new house and needed all new light fixtures. I ordered several from Overstock including a fan. As my house was being renovated I slowly was hiring people to install them. I hired someone to hang the fan and it did not work. I asked for a new power box and they sent one. I hired a guy again. The new box still did not work. I asked for a refund and was told it’s out of the 30 days. Call the manufacturer. I did. They sent a new fan. I hired a different electrician and that fan still did. Not work.
I called the manufacturer asking for a refund and they said they can’t since I paid overstock. I emailed overstock again asking them to make it right since I just spent 1000s on their website redoing my house. They just said it’s past 30 days. Finally they called to offer me 30 dollars not even enough to pay one of the electricians. It’s been months and a lot of stress. I still have no fan or light in my bedroom. I’m out money and have two useless fans taking up my floor. Disgusting customer service.

Overstock.com says it has 24-hour Customer Service. It does not provide live operators 24-7. You can text if you have a smart phone or you can chat if you have another device or PC. The staff behind the Chat service have no idea how shipping works in the USA. They repeat everything you type into the chat fields, tell you your order details over and over (which you already know), and then ask you what you want when you have already told them on the opening statement exactly what you need to have done. My conclusion, Overstock is outsourcing its Customer Support to another country where the CSRs do not speak English as a first language and are not trained.

I recently purchased a bed quilt from Overstock, but was disappointed when I saw the quilt in person. The quality seemed low, especially compared to the price. When I inquired about returning it, I discovered that I had to pay $15 for shipping. Other websites do not charge shipping costs for returns. It seems like this should be part of the cost for them of doing online business. They save a lot of money by not operating a brick and mortar building. When I buy at a real store, I know what I'm getting. But with an online business, the buyer is making a gamble by buying anything without being able to seeing it first. To add insult to injury, I then found the exact same product at both Walmart's and Target's websites for more than $20 less. So basically, their prices are higher than they should be.

I've been a member of Club O for over 4 years now. I don't have an issue with the quality of their items but I do have an issue with their Returns and Customer Service. I placed an order on Dec 17th that was promised to arrive by Dec 30th as I needed this by New Year's. I got an email saying it was delayed on Dec 27th and immediately contacted Overstock and them "trying to cancel the order." They emailed me on the 27th and the 29th. Oddly the order shipped anyway and it wasn't received til Jan 6th.
I then contacted them to return the artwork and they sent me back an email saying it would cost me $17.44 to return the item. I then get on with Customer Service again today and asked why am I being charged to return the item... this agent said, "I can offer you half off the return fee." I'm said once again,"Why am I having to pay for a return that your company promised by a certain date." Well evidently they said "Upon reviewing your order, I see your order was placed on 12/17/2019 and delivered on 01/06/2020. Since this is within our standard delivery time frame of 3-6 business days from the ship date, return shipping charges will be applicable." Okay then why in the email does it say Dec 30th and not something like Dec 30th to Jan 6th? Because I would of NEVER ordered it.
Summary ... after talking with this agent he responds to me, "As you are a valid Club O member you are eligible for free return for in-store credit refund." So long story short ... I had to fight to NOT PAY a return fee when it should of been free to start. I feel this is a scam when dealing with returns. I've never had a problem like this with any other companies I've ordered from except Overstock and this isn't the first incident. I've cancelled my Club O membership and will take my business elsewhere and once my card it payed off - I'll be getting rid of that as well. I don't feel like I was expecting a lot honestly nor do I feel I should of had to jump through that many hoops to return an item. I hope this helps others that may consider using them as there are far better companies to order from with less hassle.

I ordered millet spray and what came was a cellphone case. I contacted Overstock and they said it came from a second seller and they could not refund me, that it had to be the second seller. Although all customer care reps were friendly, I was very surprised how ineffective the return policy is for large items. Overstock does not offer any assistance in repackaging large items for returns (Amazon has done this for me in the past). The only options available to me were to keep the defective item, or to find a way to repackage a couch for shipping.
I live in a rural area, after calling multiple businesses, the only one that could supply a box large enough was 1.5 hours away, and they were going to charge me for the box. Why should I have to drive 3 hours, spend my time and money on gas and packaging to return a defective item to you? Ultimately I was offered a $40 refund on a $311 purchase. I now own a $270 broken couch. Amazon has sent a third party company to my house to repackage and return a large item, why can a company the size of overstock not offer the same accommodations? Needless to say, I will not be ordering anything from Overstock again, large or small. If an actual person from Overstock reads this, I want my $270 back.

Overstock sent me an email saying item was delivered after Fed Ex sent an email saying it was delivered. I called Overstock and they said this is a common practice. Fed Ex scans the package as it gets put on truck as "delivered" and that I should give it 24-48 hours. Nothing on their site reflects this. The customer then has to take the time to call customer service. Knowingly representing something dishonestly is fraudulent. The fact that Overstock is willing to be complicit in Fed Ex's fraudulent practice is problematic. If you can't trust overstock on this...what else are they fraudulently communicating? Where is their morale values on truth?? There are too many retailers online that sell the same items. I would use honest retailers instead.

I rarely shop online but found an item I wanted to buy my Granddaughter for Christmas. (I later found it elsewhere for 40% less, but that's not the issue I am reviewing.) Based on a chat with a customer service rep, I returned one item and ordered a replacement before the original return was processed - doubly assured that if I join the O Club I would have free returns and funds would be returned to the card used for payment. That turned out not to be true. What they call a "refund" is actually a store credit.
If I wanted an actual refund, I would have to pay $36.82 return fee for a $82 item. Outrageous! From misleading communication with customer service to shipping delays to unclear and misleading return policies, the series of issues and problems with this entire process is shameful. To put the whole mess to rest I used my credit to buy something I didn't need and couldn't afford. And of course, canceled by subscription. I am still waiting for these items to arrive... I am praying they arrive and meet my expectations. I will NEVER shop here again.

I have ordered a few other rugs from Overstock.com in the past and was able to return them without issues and without cost. I recently ordered a few rugs from overstock and when I received them the colors were completely different in person than in the pictures they have on their website. I called to return them and was told it was going to cost me $80 to return both rugs. One of the rugs I bought was $95 so I was really upset and said I had no problem returning some rugs that didn't work out 6 months ago for my baby's room. I was told too bad. I also talked with a manager who told me that she wont do anything and it's my fault that I don't like the colors and that the computer colors are never accurate. Do not buy from Overstock, there are many other websites with much better customer service that don't charge to ship back.

On December 10, 2019 I ordered 2 sets of drapery from Overstock. The quality of the item that was delivered was not consistent with what was advertised. I would like to believe that the wrong item was sent to me. Because there was no relationship with the drapery I ordered and what was delivered. It was sheer and see-through, not silk, not blackout, not solid, and had a pattern. And I then I got charged $24 to return what was obviously a misrepresentation or an error on the part of Overstock. Incredulous! I should not have been penalized for such a gross misrepresentation. I spoke to a rep today 1/14/2020 who told me they could not credit my account with the shipping cost as it was already processed. Last time I am shopping on Overstock.

Customer rep. services is outstanding. Product is not, did not match color descriptions and absolutely not matching with published picture. We did not satisfied with our purchase and trying to exchange to different product, but Overstock does not give opportunity to rep. exchange to different model, what very disappointing. Because purchasing on website always likes buy a pig in a poke. You can really consider what you bought only after receiving the purchase and most cases it’s 50 to 50 chances. Very happy with customer service and absolutely disappointed with product. Purchased an automatic day/date watch for 370. Could not set time. Only instructions were from Overstock advising not to set day and date between 9pm and 3am. Flashed back to previous purchases 1. Damaged table (caught in a return nightmare between Overstock and the merchant). 2. Purchased a framed print; plexiglass damaged. I am returning the watch. Purchased LG Window A/C Unit (refurbished). Same exact model had over 4yrs. I didn't take it out of box and install right away because wasn't using the room for a while and then temps dropped. I thought I was buying bunk beds for $226 which would be a great deal. But what I got was a couple of pieces of wood for a trundle for third bed under the bed for $226 for about $10 worth of wood! I was so upset and angry that I was deceived by the picture of what I thought was getting bunk beds instead of putting a picture of just the trundle, I then wanted to return it and is charging me $95 to return pieces of wood. We were in the market for a faux fireplace. - Saw one listed on Overstock. - The starting price listed $349 ($390.00 for "gray oak" post Xmas sale). Upon checking out, the price suddenly jumped to $463. Then it jumped even further to $534 for no good reason. Irritated by the yo-yo pricing we declined to purchase the item. 2 hours later we receive an email for the exact same item priced at $314 - with the tagline “Waiting just for You” - Check out / Buy now tabs. So, we foolishly fell for their pricing CON game. And for no justifiable reason, the price jumped to well over $500. Whatever happened to the ‘just for you - check out / Buy now @ $314?
Annoyed we contacted Customer Service and received a number of dismissive, cavalier replies — “there must have been a glitch” one rep told us. WRONG ANSWER. Upon presenting screenshots of evidence, we received more EXCUSES, and a series of equally half-baked DISMISSIVE replies. Working in a law office we know details are paramount. Clearly Overstock will approach to pricing will waste customers time. When a company sends an email with an item priced accordingly THAT IS WHAT THEY “SHOULD” honor no if's, and's or but's about it. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM OVERSTOCK AGAIN.

I purchased a Conair Multi-size electric roller set from Overstock. Delivery wasn't a problem but as soon as the product arrived I opened the box and immediately knew it wasn't the right set for me. The "large" rollers were too small for my long hair. I immediately contacted them online and was told the shipping label would cost me $13.44 to return the product and it would be deducted from my refund. It had just been delivered and not used. That is ridiculous! Even though I am not an Amazon Prime member I always qualify for free shipping and free returns based on the purchase price--this certainly would have been the case on the $63.86 I paid. I regret this purchase. I will definitely return to shopping Amazon and not even bother with Overstock again.

Comforter set. Arrived quickly. Toss pillow had a big black smear on the back. I took a picture of it and sent them an email. Within 5 or 10 minutes, a customer service rep called me. She was super nice, apologetic, and said they'd send a replacement. She called back yesterday and said it had just been mailed. I got it today, only it wasn't just a pillow. They sent another complete set! Happy dance! But did I just get lucky? This was my first time doing business with them, but after reading so many negative reviews, I'm apprehensive about ordering again.

I wasn’t offered rush shipping, I wasn’t offered a discount, I was offered his deeply most sincere apology, what? That won’t make my purchase come to me any faster. Their excuse? I ordered a Chandelier and 2 pendant lights from them and 10 days later, someone calls me to say that the shipping department forgot to mark it "oversized" by mistake and apologized and said they would now send it by freight to me at no cost. She was really nice and I thought it was a done deal. Later in the afternoon though, I get an email stating that the product is out of stock and they issued me a refund! This was my first encounter that I have had with purchasing from Overstock and it will absolutely be the last. Upon ordering a $150 hairdryer for my sister in law for Christmas from Overstock, I opened the packaging to find that the product inside was broken, had no packaging to protect the dryer AND it had a return packing slip showing that someone returned this product from eBay and marked the return reason as "doesn't work and defective." Any company that tries to resell a broken product is a scam. Absolutely unacceptable.

If I could rate this Overstock.com a zero I would, however the stars don't allow me to do so. The return policy is the worst ever, actually if you can get them to return anything. Read the fine print on exchanging items, for one and just one example, $30.00 pair of boots, $12.37 to ship back, 20 percent restocking fee, and pay for shipping to receive the other pair of boots. Do the math, I could have bought the boots for less money anywhere else. Gaming chair, wireless, LOLOLO, came with a bunch of wires and I saw the same wireless chair (Hmmmm) for $100.00 less because it is on clearance everywhere else. Perhaps, because the wireless chair comes with wires. Once again, ship back, 20 percent restocking fee. Bought a sweater, wrong color, wrong size, but shipping is all on you. SHOP AMAZON, NO HASSLE ONLINE SHOPPING.

We ordered a ladies watch on five difference occasions between mid-November and after Christmas. Each time Overstock cancelled the order without communicating so we kept calling to see why it was not delivered. We even emailed passport photo to their loss protection team and NEVER Received the watch. The person the watch was for did not receive a birthday or Christmas gift because Overstock would never send the watch and cancelled five separate orders. I recommend going to a reputable jewelry store because Overstock cannot handle delivery of orders.

I ordered a kitchen sink from Overstock.com on December 19 and the estimated delivery date was December 21. I thought this was great! It gave me a little cushion of time in the event there was a little delay. Now it is December 27 and after several inquiries I am told that they are waiting for a response from their “partner” and will let me know when my product is shipped and they assured me that they are doing everything possible to quickly process my order. What exactly does this response mean? When am I getting my sink?!!!
My kitchen is on hold now. Even more disturbing is that they added that in the event they are unable to fulfill my request within 30 days, they will refund me the money. Overstock, do you even have a sink to send to me? Did you advertise a product that you don’t even have and take my money? Overstock does not care about their customers. They could get the sink from somewhere else quickly..,. Even Amazon....to fulfill their obligation. I’d be hard pressed to order from you again based on this unreliability and lack of accountability. To all of you shoppers out there... DO NOT SHOP OVERSTOCK if you plan to get your order in a timely manner or actually have a satisfactory customer service experience. Overstock gets a big fat “F” in both categories! Paid expedited shipping with a stated deliver by date of 12/24. They waited till 12/23 to ship (3 days after placing my order), then they chose a shipping method that won’t get it to me by 12/24 (Christmas Eve)... Why, why, why??? Called customer service 2 times before they shipped, and 1 time after they shipped. It was like talking to reps on sleeping pills. Very poor response from their reps, no enthusiasm to do their jobs whatsoever. Yes, they said if it’s late they’ll refund my expedited shipping fee, but hey guess what Overstock??? THAT DOES NOT HELP!!! My first and last time ordering with them. Yes, I did have other shipping choices (websites) and boy do I wish I used one of the more reliable shopping sites!!!

I ordered from Overstock and found a great deal for a Dooney & Bourke purse for my mother. It was supposed to arrive a day before her birthday. She did not receive it but the post office tracked it as being delivered to "an individual". After opening multiple cases to customer service, they did say they had a special team that handles these situations. That special team just referred me to put in a claim directly to them. I did and no one called after the investigation was complete. They stated that b/c the item was no longer available they issued a refund back to overstock. So there was no replacement or refund. I called overstock and they said they didn't revive anything from the seller. So now, I spent $185 for absolutely nothing. I keep getting the run around and the worst resolve for correcting this issue. This was my first and last purchase from overstock.

Ordered what I thought was a 24 pack of gel fuel cans. Received only 12. Customer service was not helpful at all and stated that there was a "12 can option". Would have never bought 12 cans for that price and was not made clear anywhere that it was only for that amount. I have order and delivery confirmations that show 24 can, so I'm not sure why this would even have to be disputed, let alone discussed. Very disappointing experience and will never buy from them again.

I placed an order online and did not receive an email Confirmation. I called customer service and they could not find my order. My credit card was charged from them for $68.00. He kept asking me for my social security number. I explained to him that he did not need that. It would not help him find my order. He transferred me to someone else and he also asked me for my social security number. I Would really like to know what they were going to do with it. Needless to say the third person I talked to said he didn’t need it and looked my order up under my email address. There is something not right with this company and employees.

STOLE $400.00 FROM ME. On 12/13/19 I decided to try Overstock for my grandkid's presents this year. After selecting 9 items, all being sent to the same address, I placed the order online. About 2 hours later I realized I used the kid's previous address, not the new address on the other side of their town. I contacted Overstock via text and online chat only to get the run around, by all parties. Cant' change the shipping address, can't cancel the order so i can reorder with the correct shipping address.. shipping to the wrong address, giving strangers the gifts I purchased for my kids, not refunding my $400.00... To say I very upset is an understatement. I have never incurred such abysmal customer service and failure with Amazon or Macy's online. Overstock is the worst place to shop online available, do yourself a favor and choose amazon. Bah Humbug.

Overstock used to be better in standards... They are using secondary vendors called Marketplace Sellers who are not fulfilling orders as promised on the website i.e. Free 2 day delivery or using an expedited service meaning FedEx or even UPS Ground would be quicker than the postal service. Customers do not have a choice and the Overstock customer service team re-routes you to a vendor who may or may not be responding or proactive with customer service. Customer service has disappeared from Overstock. I am no longer going to use them and am closing my store credit account.

Overstock advertises that they have free returns if your a Club O member. It's not true. It's only free if you do in-store credit. Not an actual refund. They sent me 4 horrible quality rugs and charged me $200 to return them. They sent me an inferior product and then I have to pay $200 to return them? Their customer service team is exceptionally awful as well. They are not equipped to do anything but read from a script. They don't do anything to actually help and they don't do what's right by the customer. I will never use Overstock again.

If you buy the Membership for $20/year and then become a student, teacher, military, etc. you are SOL on keeping ANY of the rewards YOU EARNED already. Aka so called "customer service" informed me that I would need to pay $20 to get my $16 in credit from products I bought from them already. Let's really thank our students, teachers and military that way!!! I used to like this company over Amazon but that sure changed quick. I would rather buy a product I liked less with the assurance I wasn't going to get screwed over if something happened rather than like the product more and take the gamble. I bought a Mahogany Executive Chair for $489; and within 6 months the chair tilts forward as if you will fall on the ground. Overstock gave me the Vendor to work with. They replaced the part. Now 6 months have passed and the chair has the same problem tilts forward. Overstock will not address the issue except to say you have to work with the Vendor. The Vendor does not return my phone calls. Will not buy from the company again. Better off going to a reputable furniture company.

I ordered a rug and non-slip pad from Overstock.com on Black Friday, November 29. The rug was scheduled to arrive at my home in Oregon on December 4. I received a notification on 12/4 from Overstock stating that both items had been delivered, but I only found the non-slip pad in my mailbox. I got in touch with a representative who told me that the rug was at the post office and I should go there to pick it up. However, when I used my tracking number to locate the rug, I saw that it had been shipped through UPS, and delivered to someone's front door in New York City!! Was the Overstock employee so lazy and incompetent that they couldn't take the time to investigate what happened with my item? So, I contacted Overstock again and spoke to another representative, who confirmed that the rug had indeed been dropped off somewhere in New York City, and she said that she would send me a replacement that would arrive at the end of the next week.
I asked her to expedite the shipment because I was expecting to receive the rug days ago, and she said that "she couldn't." I asked her if her supervisor could, and she said that they can't expedite shipping either. So, I asked her to give me a refund and told her that I would be writing a review of Overstock.com based on this experience, to which she replied, "oh well, honesty is the best policy." She refunded the rug but never offered to refund the non-slip pad, which is pretty much useless without the rug. This is my first time shopping at Overstock.com in about 15 years, and it will be my last time.

I had two horrendous experiences with Overstock in the last month. First, I ordered a wooden kitchen table and chair set in white. They sent me another color entirely. When I called to complain the customer service representative was honest. He told me not to return and order again because there was NO GUARANTEE they would send the white one. So I returned that.
I also ordered a purse from them. It was never clear to me it was through another seller or that they didn’t ever accept returns. The first day I used the purse it never closed as the clasp didn’t work. I was walking around stores with my purse wide open. Overstock refuses to refund me for this broken purse. I’m now deleting my account and will never buy from them again. Truthfully, they deserve NO STARS.

They are shysty companies that need to get put in the Better Business Bureau and FCC and any other agency the protect consumers. This kind of companies ripping people off. This review is about Overstock's return policy. I was surprised to be charged 18% of the total of my item in order to return it. And of course this is the only way to ensure that you won't get charged for any damage. Unless you're 100 percent sure you want your item, don't shop at Overstock.

We recently purchased a bathroom sink and vanity from Overstock.com. When it arrived, I saw Fedex drop it out of their truck onto the pavement! Needless to say, the vanity was damaged! Long story short, Overstock immediately sent us a new one when we contacted them!! Their customer service was beyond wonderful!! They actually called to discuss it with us AND emailed us!! And they were real people, not robots!! We will definitely purchase more from them in the future!!

I purchased two nightstands and was told they would arrive in 20 business days. They never arrived and the FedEx tracking number showed that they never were received as no initial destination was listed. Was then told they would reship and I would receive them in approximately 10 business day after I contacted them. 5 days later I was sent a full refund as they stated they were out of stock. They should have known they were out of stock when stating they would reship unless they have a poor inventory tracking system. First time buyer: Poor Service, Poor Communication. If I could give them a 0 I would.

I ordered jewelry on Nov 22nd from Overstock. I am usually a Amazon shopper however I believe in giving the competition a fair opportunity. Needless to say I wanted the jewelry to arrive within 5-6 days. The order was placed on a Friday, I contacted overstock on Monday when my status was processing. My thought on Monday was why did it take this long to process? It is not scheduled to arrive until Dec 3rd. I'm very disappointed. Thumbs down on a company unable to process orders quicker than 3 days.

On October 29th, 2019, I ordered the "Carson Carrington Ulva Contemporary Walnut Wood Platform Bed Frame" (Queen). Since then, the estimate for the arrival (since it was on backorder) was December 4th. Since then, without any notification, it got bumped up to November 15th. Now, usually I'd be very happy with this expedited delivery, but when the package did arrive, the packaging looked like it definitely seen some trauma. In fact, on of the side cardboard panels was flapping open, with a single piece of tape barely holding it together. Upon opening the box, I found no assembly instructions and the bag containing the hardware looked to have been cut, having pieces of the hardware falling out the more I started to un-package everything.
With it being unclear whether I may or may not be missing hardware, and no instructions on assembly, I contacted customer support. They heard me out and assured me that a new, additional set of hardware and a set of assembly instructions will be mailed to me. On November 25th, the promised package arrived at my door. However, it was still missing instructions. I spoke to a few representatives via the "Chloe Chat" (an Overstock customer support chat) who were inconsistent in offering me reimbursements. One said that they're not allowed to do that, the other offered me a small compensation for my troubles. In both cases, I argued that it's bad business for me to receive a damaged good, and when I contact the seller, they are not willing to give me a refund unless I return the item (which I have no intention of), or send me phone numbers to contact to shipping.
It's shifting the responsibility of fixing the issue and placing it back into the customers hands. One word; unprofessional. Another option was for me to accept a coupon. I denied, as it is contingent on me making another purchase, yet again not something I intend to do. Moreover, they told me that additional options were either to go through the process again (that being them contacting the warehouse and sending me instructions again, which meant another 10 days' wait), or I accept the small reimbursement fee, but they take absolutely no action. Dear readers, that's called a bribe. Once again, bad business.
Lastly, I talked to a supervisor (Karina), who told me she'd do her own research and try to get back to me with the instructions, or at least an update on them, within 24 hours. Realistically, she has been the only person in this equation that seemed to have put forward a true effort to remedy this situation. With that said, I still believe I am owed a refund. I purchased the bed frame with hard-earned money, it came on an unannounced date, damaged, and after speaking to 6 different people I still am left waiting, sleeping on the floor, with a bed frame stored in pieces in my garage. If this were to be Amazon, I'd be refunded my money within the first contact and I wouldn't be handed cheap bribes and phone numbers for me to deal with this myself to no end. Never buying from again and believe me, everyone I know will be hearing about this.

Maybe our experience can help you avoid losing money if you get a bad Overstock.com product. In October 2018 I ordered a large rug (I'll post details at the end of this review) which was for the bedroom of a woman living with multiple sclerosis. When the rug arrived it was apparent from the dirt and smell that there was something seriously wrong with it. You can see from the photo with this review that the rug arrived in plastic packaging that was ripped, crumbling, and had parts turned yellow like it was old and moldy. I will spare you a photo of my hands, but they became filthy just handling it.
I thought Overstock offered a full money back guarantee. That's when I discovered (and you can try checking it now), that their website has multiple pages with information about refunds and returns. Among all that information, I found this single disclaimer on one of the pages: "Any item specifically marked as Non-Returnable on the product page will not be accepted for returns."
You can probably guess what happened next. It turned out that in small type on what I thought was a typical product page it had in tiny type (easily overlooked by an older person or someone with visual challenges) that the rug was non-returnable. I was surprised, because so many pages on their website suggest that returns and refunds are easy to get. On a hunch, I checked all my past Overstock.com orders (none of which I had returned), and found that EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Had "non-returnable" in tiny type. So here's the first tip:
TIP #1: Before ordering anything from Overstock.com, check the entire product page, the checkout page, and every other page related to your purchase in detail to make sure it doesn't say you can't do a return or get a refund. Because the product was clearly defective (I had two people check who agreed it was gross, but who would put a filthy moldy rug in their BEDROOM?). I hoped that I could talk with someone at Overstock.com who would be reasonable.
I had a lengthy discussion with a customer service agent who seemed to be trying many different tactics to get us to keep the rug (they offered a link to a website with rug cleaning tips -- something you wouldn't expect to need for a brand new rug!) but finally said they would allow a return, which I was grateful for and thought was compassionate due to the rug being something that could not go into the bedroom of someone who wasn't in good health. (Although I can't imagine ANYONE would want it in their bedroom. Can you imagine putting a moldy rug into your child's bedroom or an elderly parent's bedroom, let alone your own bedroom?)
The Overstock agent sent me a shipping label and email which said all we had to do was drop the rug off at UPS which is at the post office. The rug was huge (8 feet x 11 feet), so it was physically challenging to get it to the post office, but it was returned to the post office with Overstock's own mailing label on it. Then we waited, and as you'll read on their website if you carefully review all their return and refund pages, they explain all the things you should wait for before getting a refund. But no refund for the $575.48 CAD ever appeared after reviewing multiple months of credit card statements.
When Overstock.com was later contacted to ask where the refund was, here was the agent's written response: "I have reached back to the returning warehouse and they are unable to verify that they received this rug back into stock and UPS has recycled the tracking for the return. We are beyond time frames to file a lost return shipment claim with the carrier and I am not able to assist with a refund." I can certainly understand if whoever received it at the warehouse decided that it should be disposed of. (Frankly, I don't understand why they didn't dispose of it instead of sending it to a customer in the first place.) So here's how our loss of $575.48 to Overstock.com will hopefully help you avoid the same problem.
TIP #2: If you are able to get Overstock.com to say they will accept a refund, make sure you document everything very carefully. Take lots of photographs showing the return label, getting the product to UPS or the post office, and so on. TIP #3: Then check your credit card statement frequently and when there is no refund to your credit card, contact them immediately, and keep contacting them until you get them to do the refund. Don't shop from Overstock.com. They are thief. I purchase a rug 9 x 12 ($247.49) + Doormat ($28.49) + All Weather Boot Tray ($20.60). I retuned the rug and the doormat and Overstock.com charge me for return $144.86 from a total purchase of $314.38. Simply do not bother!

I purchased 2 International Caravan Ibiza Aluminum Porch Rocker. They have only been out on our patio a month. The screws holding the chair together are already rusting. I contacted Overstock.com (sent pics etc) and their representative said it was beyond return date. In all honesty, I wasn’t looking to return - just send me decent replacement parts. I could have bought chairs for less money, but went with the aluminum so that we would get a few years out of them in our humid Florida environment.
Overstock does not stand behind products they sell. I spent $423.70 and 5 weeks later they are rusting and Overstock says there is no warranty at all. BUYER BEWARE!! Most people can’t afford to throw that kind of money away after only a month use. I would never advise anyone to purchase anything of value from this company. I feel their policy toward defective merchandise is dishonest. They have my money and basically don’t care. Please shop elsewhere!!!

Ordered a large Bar Sideboard on October 31, 2019. Received no notifications of shipping and had to inquire of customer service. Notified 15 minutes later it shipped. I was emailed that it would arrive by November 13, 2019. Received a voicemail message from a shipper. Returned the call multiple times with no response. Called their logistics company CEVA, but no answer. Contacted customer service on Nov. 14th to find out status of shipment. Customer Service informed me that they do not have a dedicated department to handle over-sized items-then why do they sell them. I was informed by Customer Service that they would contact me within 1-2 days to let me know the status of the order. My suggestion to anyone ordering furnishings from Overstock is DO NOT DO IT!. Save yourself the time and trouble and deal with a more reputable and responsive company.

I've received both a couch and shower curtain from Overstock with costly returns. The couch is hard as a rock and cheap. It's going to cost me hundreds of dollars between shipping costs, buying boxes & material, and hauling the boxes back to UPS. The "chat" in customer service is awful; it's either a robot (even when you ask to talk to a person), or people who don't understand English, I'm not sure which. Don't give overstock your business - they're thieves.

I ordered a Christmas tree on 12/23/18 which was delivered on January 4, 2019. I ordered the tree because it was end of season priced and a section of lights on my existing tree had gone out. When it arrived I was putting away all the Christmas decorations so I stored the tree in its original shipping box. When I opened the box in November 2019 I found out the tree had colored lights. I ordered clear. I don't do colored lights. I called Overstock and they will not do anything for me. They said their policy is 30 day returns. I understand policy but there was no reason for me to open that box in January. The mistake was theirs, not mine.
I have been a good customer of Overstock in the past but I'm done. In August I ordered kitchen chairs which I had to return due to poor quality. They did ship new chairs but the hassle of uh-boxing and re-boxing was difficult for a senior woman. Overstock is not worth the stress associated with doing business. I shop on-line because it's easy, but Overstock is not easy.

I purchased a supposedly a long sleeve woman cashmere woolen coat from Overstock.com and it came to me from China. When I opened the package, there was no woolen cashmere material, the fabric is made of very cheap plastic and it is a ripoff. They say something else in their website and send you garbage. I had a few pieces of artwork in my cart at Overstock.com that I've been keeping my eye on. I'm on their email list and regularly get emails from them with coupons, etc. One particular email I received had the subject line: "Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock" Waiting just for you! These fabulous finds are still in your cart. The photos shown were clearly the items I had in my cart yet the price listed by the photo was NOT the price I would see when I clicked on the "Check Out Now" button. What?! It was a total Bait and Switch situation... FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
When I called Overstock.com to ask if they could honor the price shown in the email the customer rep said, "Yea, that's just how marketing goes. Sorry." He tried to explain how all companies do that with their marketing. Nope. I'm sorry... This is the worst I've ever seen and the worst customer service. The fact that they couldn't honor the price that they emailed me was just beyond comprehension (it wasn't even that big of difference in price). They lost out on a sale that I will just be taking to Amazon or another company that has much better customer service. Super disappointed.

The Sunnydaze fountain was purchased on Overstock.com. When we opened the box the top orb was broken into several pieces. I contacted Overstock on chat and was told that this was a product from a market seller. They could not help me with it. I will have to contact the company that sent it to me, even though I purchased it through Overstock. I’m not sure I want to deal with them again if they don’t stand behind and help you with items purchased on their own website. I thinks it is a totally unprofessional mode of behavior. They should be responsible for any item on their website. I’m totally disappointed in what I thought was an upstanding company. I probably won’t purchase through them again after this ordeal. I’d give them negative stars if permitted. I ordered a dresser from Overstock. The piece arrived fully assembled minus legs and handles. We opened the piece within a few minutes of delivery. The piece was double boxed (manufacturing box and shipping box). The shipping box was not damaged so we opened both boxes. Upon review, one piece of wood in the base of the dresser was cracked and split in half and another piece had shattered and was fully broken off and laying in the bottom of the manufacturer’s box. I spent over an hour trying to explain to customer service over text the condition of the piece (including sending pics) to no satisfactory outcome. They refuse to take the piece back.
They insist that the carrier must come to my home and inspect the piece and the packaging and therefore are insisting I hold onto both the damage furniture and boxes for the next two weeks. Despite the lack of damage to the shipping box, despite explaining I don’t want to keep it, Despite stating don’t want a replacement piece, And despite being clear that I just want to return for a refund, they keep insisting a claim must be made to the carrier and I have to accommodate this inconvenience for them. Don’t waste your time or money with these scammers - go elsewhere.

Amazon can deliver anything I want to my door within a decent timeframe with excellent tracking. And At least tell me if it's going to take longer than normal. COMMUNICATION, ENTER CORRECT INFO, UPDATED INFO. IT'S 2019 people! Drones are being used to deliver in 2019! We are not flying in cars yet, but I expect any object to be delivered in a timely manner! And websites updated, etc.. This is the world we live in.
Overstock is still catching up. They can even enter correct tracking numbers. And I mean after multiple tries, and me contacting them for information. Oh and you have "text" them for customer contact. So they changed the delivery date on me 3x now. They contracted with some useless company called XPO. When I talked to Overstock, the lady even said, "I wonder why we used them?" Gee? That's weird. Then she said, "the website clearly says, 9-15 day delivery time." So the headboard got from Illinois to Billings, MT, over 200 miles away.
Apparently this has them stumped and getting it to Butte is just too much. So my order will catch the next Wagon train, and be here on Nov 8th. Ok this did NOT ship from CHINA, it shipped from Illinois, and it took them 20 days to get it to Billings, now it will take 20 more days to get it to Butte because we are soooo remote.. Hello 2 major freeways cross here! Everyone else can deliver? I'd like to cancel my order midshipment but I know that will create a whole host of new problems. Needless to say, I won't be using Overstock again for anything. They lost my business over this. Seriously learn how to ship your products.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT get a Overstock card, not worth it! You would be wasting your money because each month they charge you 2 dollars even if your balance is 0. Also, hit you with fees left and right. Then to top it off their customer service department is a complete joke! No help whatsoever!! I made one purchase on this card, paid it off, was not aware of this fee for having your balance ZERO! So was charged multiple times for late fees, then when I paid those and told me again that my balance was ZERO!!!! And that I wouldn't be charged the monthly 2 dollars and that it was a mistake, you know what happened... THEY CHARGED ME!
So calling to get this settled, and not to mention I am a nursing student full time working 3 jobs to cover school so free time is either 5am or 12am. So with the unwelcoming service department just drilling me to make a payment of fees that once again were told were taken care of, the man on the phone said, "Well if you don't make a payment now I can't help you..."

Overstock Store Card Shop Smart. You get up to 24 months special financing with your Overstock Store Credit Card. I called two weeks ago, because my purchase is not showing to be 24 months interest free, which is the only reason I signed up for the credit card. The person I spoke with said I would receive a response in 7-10 days. I have checked my mail and email and have heard nothing. What does it take to get someone to respond? I can send the things back, if you pay the shipping to get them back to you. Because I am frustrated with your company, and need this resolved IMMEDIATELY. 10/16/19. NOW AN INTEREST CHARGE OF $27.97 HAS BEEN ADDED 10-6-19. The man I spoke with said they'd remove all interest charges and correct the absence of the 24 month interest free promotion, that somehow did not get initiated on my statement transaction. Please help.
I ordered 3 rugs, and got the Overstock credit card, because, they offered 24 months interest free. When I got my first statement, I noticed it said nothing about the 2 year interest free promotion. I contacted them by phone, and spoke with a man who said he'd make certain they would change my account to reflect the interest free promotion, which is what lured me to get the credit card in the first place. He said I'd be receiving a letter in the mail in 10 days, reflecting the correction. Today I received the letter and they won't honor the promotion. Shipping for rugs is expensive to return them from Hawaii. It is a scam. I am reporting Overstock credit card scam, until they correct it.

I have been a good customer to Overstock for many years. I recently ordered an expensive chair from them and the listing asked you to put in your zip code for a delivery estimate which came back as 9-15 business days. It said they had 10 in stock, so all good. I had company coming and this time frame worked to get the chair before they arrive so I ordered it. They charged my credit card the next day. 7 business days go by and no word on the chair so I contact them. They tell me it's an oversized item and requires freight shipment, which of course was also mentioned on the website, fine. They said it could take 4-6 weeks! I was very upset and asked them to see where the chair was and if it could be expedited to meet their promise of 9-15 days. They can't tell me where the chair is, when it will ship, zero information. So they are sitting on my money and I have no idea if this chair even exists. I will never buy furniture from them again. Buyer beware!

So I bought expensive rugs through Overstock. They have NOT wore well within less than a year of ownership. I called Overstock and was told I needed to deal with manufacturer because the rugs had a 1 year warranty. I was provided the phone # of manufacturer and I called them. Was advised they WOULD NOT deal with me but I had to go through Overstock. Called Overstock back and after another run around, was told it would take 1-2 business days. Got my response, “it’s outside the 30 day warranty period, sorry you could trim the carpets with a sharp item.” REALLY??? Wish I could show a picture as they are awful and WERE NOT CHEAP! I will give Wayfair my business as they know how to treat their customers!!!

The price listed on Overstock was $25 more than the price listed on the manufacturer website. The manufacturer website didn’t charge taxes and Overstock did. I will never purchase on Overstock again. I placed 3 separate orders from them. I received my large item without a problem however I never received either of my other orders. When I contacted them they just said sorry and and submitted a credit. Needless to say I never got the product which was sent to California and not New Jersey. I don't know where they got my address from not even close. The second item same thing shipped to wrong address. This was over a week ago and still no credit or return call. This company is HORRIBLE. They don't really care about their customers.

In May 2019, I ordered 8 chairs for our office reception area (4 of which came in damaged and had to be exchanged), a coffee table with 2 side tables, a lamp, and a desk chair - spent over $1,000 - I specifically applied for their 0% interest rate program which I have excellent credit. They didn't charge any interest the first month (May), all following months I'm being charged interest.
Contacted their customer service - they cancelled the 0% interest program after the 1st month for reasons unknown. I was going back and forth with their customer service department and in the midst of doing so, on August 2, 2019 I placed an order for 4 dining room table chairs for home. All of a sudden they put that on the 0% interest program ($280 vs. over $1,000 spent on the office furniture). They illegally charged me interest, falsely advertised a 0% interest rate program, did not disclose why I did not qualify for the 0% interest rate on the $1,000+ order, but when I threatened a lawyer, put the $280 order on the 0% interest rate program. THIEVES! I will never order from them again. Buyer beware!!!

Let's see if we have one like it. Plus we had to pay for the shipping to get it back to them and then they would refund our money. Overstock is a weird company. Their sales with 9% and 11% off are ridiculous. They sell duplicates of items with different prices. In many cases their price is twice that of other websites. They bump up prices before putting them on sale and they don't allow setting up of automatic payments to Comenity Bank, so Comenity says. This way we may forget a payment and they can collect missed payment fees. Everything about Overstock is random. They went from no returns to so called "free returns". Before you buy from them, check other websites. Even Amazon has better prices.

This is the worst company I have ever purchased from. Don't ever order electric or battery operated items! I'm stuck with a broken Della portable air unit. The fan shattered in my face only using it less than a month! They want you to pay for return. I'm disabled and live on 3rd floor. I don't have a car. Overstock did not care. After fighting them, they finally agreed to pay for return but I still had to take it to UPS. Yeah that wasn't going to work. Shady and uncaring company. Avoid at all cost! I should sue!

I purchased the 9'x12' Curated Nomad Ashbury Moroccan Area Rug. The pattern is faded in the areas where the carpet was folded in the packaging. Overstock will not refund the purchase price unless I arrange to return the carpet at my expense. Given the size and weight of this carpet, I am not physically capable of packing the carpet, moreover I hired a workman to lay the carpet down ($75) which involved moving a heavy couch.
After several exchanges with Overstock, they agreed to pay for the return but I remain responsible purchaing the packaging material and packing the item which would result in a further expense in order to hire someone to do this. A reputable company would refund the purchase price and have me discard the item. I will be filing a complaint with the consumer affairs division of the NYS Attorney General's Office.

Beware. Ordered an item that showed a stock of three for several weeks while I followed the price. The next day my order was cancelled. I chatted with customer service and was told that they ran out of stock temporarily but that three items were in stock now so I should go ahead and reorder. The next day my order was cancelled again. I chatted with customer service again and all I got was preformulated mumbo jumbo. Everything at Overstock.com is severely overpriced and everything that seems to be a deal doesn't exist and is just there to lure you in. All you get is frustration. Total waste of time. Avoid like the plague.

I recently bought a toy for my dog to replace one that he had for a couple of years. The toy pictured in the ad was the same toy he previously had so I ordered it for a replacement. I recommend the item from Overstock and it was nothing like shown in their ad, so I told them I would be returning it on that basis. I was issued a shipping label for UPS and promptly shipped it back to them. They issued only the amount of the sales tax as a refund. Overstock now has their item back and my money, and will not respond to my messages. Overstock is a rip off company and should not be in business! I definitely will never use them again.

We have an unresolved issue with Overstock regarding fees that they charged to our merchant account regarding shipping. We provided proof given to us last year in regards to the new charges and customer support doesn't want to validate without given further information. Then, stop to communicate with us. I am calling every day and no one is answering the phone during business hours. I reach to someone today and she tried to unsuccessfully connect me with someone to no avail. We left messages via email and phone and still, no one reaches out to us. I also complained through BBB and still they did not reply. Very frustrating. Very unprofessional.

We found the item we wanted, a table, order it, paid for it, and when it shipped we counted on receiving it. We were foolish to believe them. The day it was supposed to arrive, it didn't. Late that night they changed the delivery date to the next day. It still didn't arrive. For the next week, each day it still didn't arrive yet the date changed each day. When contacted, Overstock customer service could have cared less. Their reason was they had changed shipping companies. They do too much business to send a customer an email stating there is a delivery problem. They offered no resolution. When a company who depends on its customers for orders, yet cares little about their commitments to that customer or the value of that customer, then they don't deserve our business. There are too many good companies out there and ones like Overstock shouldn't be in business.

Avoid at all costs. You can literally get everything off their site on Amazon for cheaper and quicker delivery. They don’t price match unless you’re a member “monthly sub” and delivery is a joke. It says 2 days but realistically it will be over a week. Majority of their labels are made to catch you off guard and cheat you in some way. You’ve been warned.

I usually make the vast majority of my purchases from Amazon.com, but decided to try Overstock.com because they could provide a quicker delivery. I ordered a total of 4 rugs, 3 of which I received on time. The fourth rug failed to ship and on further research discovered that it sat pending in its origination facility. I had to call and follow up in order to rectify this and was promised a 2 day delivery on the remaining rug. I received notification from Overstock.com that the rug had shipped and was provided with a FedEx tracking number. On checking with FedEx I found that the rug was scheduled to be delivered as promised. However, by the end of the promised day of delivery the date had changed to the following day. Disappointed that Overstock.com failed to ship my original order correctly and then did not fulfill their promise of an expedited delivery.

I bought a fairly expensive bathroom vanity light from Overstock.com (my first mistake). 6-8 months in it is rusting. Company claims it is past the exchange or return window. Ha! No bathroom light should rust this fast. It is a poor quality product that they should stand behind. They just dusted their hands and went the other way. Consumer, you have been warned. Overstock.com is a terrible place to buy products if you want any sort of quality or honorable company to stand behind what you buy.

Also I was a member and they did not allow me to use $20 in points, but renewed the membership even though I told them not to. When I told them again, they kept my money, these people are real crooks.

Worst customer service ever. I purchased two silver chains that were not the quality I wanted. I started the return process, choosing to not use their shipping because of the ridiculous cost. I shipped the two items, back ordered two new items and now Overstock is telling me they never received my return and will not refund me my money. They say there is no proof I returned my items and they can't help me. I will never order from Overstock.com ever again.

My recent purchase with Overstock has been the most sickening experience I’ve ever had as a consumer. I’m shocked they are allowed to operate like this. Overstock’s service has been an absolute nightmare. I made a purchase on Overstock.com and then Overstock tried to authorize to charge my credit card 4 times for the same order. My bank and PayPal had to get involved. It took several phone calls and hours to resolve! Please be aware, you cannot call Overstock for customer support! They have no functional phone number. How they are allowed to do this, is unclear. You can only communicate with their team via text and respond to emails they send you.
Then my cabinet and I had to call in repeatedly to find out where it was. Turned out they lost it and didn’t know where my package was. They had to send a replacement and I received my cabinet almost 2 weeks after the date you advertised online when I purchased it. I wish I had purchased it from another retailer. They then had the audacity to charge my card without my knowledge or authorization for the other lost package! I never signed for or had possession of the package. Their support team issued a partial refund on my original order because there was a price decrease a couple of days after I placed the order. Overstock advertises that it honor recent price changes. I literally had to send a screenshot from Overstock’s website to the Overstock rep because they didn’t know their own company policy. They issued the partial refund and a month later recharged my credit card without my authorization.
To top it all off, I have proof that they have the “lost package”. There’s a tracking number that they collected from my building and the return delivery address is an hour away and almost 2 weeks later are still claiming they don’t have it and can’t confirm it to refund my credit card of the second charge. They are scamming people by taking liberties with the credit card information that you give them authorization once to use. I am also reporting this to my bank and the BBB.

I purchased a Refurbished Apple Laptop on April 2019. First day I charged it I noticed it was extremely overheating. I pay no attention until the second time. I freaked out but unfortunately I did not call to complain. I got busy and procrastinated. Unfortunately when I finally was able to call its warranty had already expired. It's my fault a fact but still it doesn't make a difference that they sell crappy refurbished Macs. Also I bought a watch and it too was broken. Fortunately I still have warranty. Long story short. Overstock sell a lot of crappy stuff. I am paying for what I ordered regardless but NEVER again buying from them ever again.

Very disappointed. Delivery of item took several weeks. Quality of duvet cover and shams was poor quality and the measurements were not the same as advertised. And they wanted $23 to return the $150 order! Customer Service could have cared less throughout the entire process of shipping late and cost of return or that measurements were incorrect. First time purchasing from Overstock and BAD experience returning. I spend 1 hour, 2 different times trying to locate how to receive a return label and finally had to CALL. The invoice Order # could not be found both times calling until they used my email... FINALLY, too much time later they sent me the return label. Website is NOT user friendly for returns and price of RETURN LABEL for a small box was $12.25 and $17.00!! Most likely won't use this site again. Disappointed.

I order this wedding band for my 20th wedding anniversary. I order it on 8-9-19. Their website said it would be delivered by 8-16-19. This was the reason I ordered because other site said it would take 3 weeks. The 16th came and went, When I called customer service, they informed me that this was a "we would like to have it to you by this date", but it takes 10 business days to make the ring and then 3 to 6 days for delivery. So will not get this until 8-29-19. This is 10 days after my anniversary. Buyer beware.

I placed an order on 8/6/19, and gave me an estimated delivery on the 12th. The 12th came in and item hasn't even moved from the warehouse. I called the shipping company (XPO Logistics) on the 15th and the customer service stated that I should receive my order on that day, but nothing. I called Overstock CS on the 16th and they said that they will do an investigation and will send me a replacement. On the 17th, the item magically moved so they cancel the replacement. They sent it to USPS with an estimated delivery on the 19th. It is already the 20th, 2 weeks after the order was placed and still has not received it. I called the customer service and they said that it is still in transit. I tried to cancel the order but they wouldn't let me. Overstock has the worst shipping and customer service. My order is still somewhere out there in transit to somewhere. This is my first and last time ordering from this company! Very frustrating.

I have left several reviews for products purchased from Overstock.com, and I've noticed that my positive reviews go through without a hitch, but my negative reviews always seem to get denied. It's always the same reason - I allegedly complained about customer service, which is not related to the item I purchased. Not true. I made clear and detailed complaints about the item in every case, but I also included the poor customer service response in a couple of instances.
In other instances - for example a review about a vacuum cleaner extended warranty - I never said a word about customer service. I never even contacted customer service about the issue. But in other reviews, I had mentioned positive experiences with customer service. Funny how Overstock had no problem publishing those reviews. So it's pretty clear that they are using any excuse to refuse to publish negative product reviews. I am now wondering how many items I would have bought if I had access to candid, uncensored reviews from previous purchasers - I suspect it would have been far fewer...

I put an order in early summer for fence privacy fabric. They pushed their credit card on me even though I wanted to use my debit card. This morning 8/10/19 at about 9 am my time I get a call waking me up asking for my payment. I checked with my bank and Overstock had not processed the purchased. Checked my email and there were 2 emails from Overstock dealing with the credit card. 1 saying I had been approved and other saying I could view my statement but when I tried to view statement, it asked for card number. Never received any card or billing at my home. I called the card company back and when I tried to pay the bill, they wanted late charges and interest to the tune of over $32 even though they had not sent any billing out. I don't know if I will ever purchase from them again or not but I will NOT let them even mention their card again. Personally think this is their way of making extra money.

I ordered a comforter on July 26, 2019. It is now August 10 and still no comforter. I have called Overstock.com’s customer service and each person gives me a different answer. I spoke to a manager and let them know that this is unacceptable and their response “Our shipping company is a startup company and they are working out the kinks“. My response was that’s not my problem and it should not be at the expense of the customer. Customer Service would not even call their shipping company to inquire about the item. They said it was not enough time and we had to give them a chance.
It is now two weeks later and I called the company myself..: they are equally as unhelpful as Overstock. They told me my item was sitting in a warehouse because there was no room on their trucks so it’s been sitting there since August 2 and it’s not going out until August 13 to the United States post office which I could expect a delivery anytime after the 19th. 3 1/2 weeks for a delivery? Unacceptable and Overstock will not give me a refund. Both companies suck and I will not be ordering from them again. I now have to go buy this item somewhere else and I better get a refund!!! Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY FROM OVERSTOCK!!!! One last note I just looked at estimate delivery dates on my item and it states August 2, 2019. Unbelievable.

I have a very small living room and needed a specific sized unit to fit. I found it at Overstock. I ordered it online and there was a place to click for a 14% discount. I clicked on the coupon button, but when my credit card was charged, it did not include the discount. I called customer service, and fortunately, they were able to give me a refund of the 14%. That is why they got one star.
Four days later, the item that I had ordered was placed on clearance at $100 less than I paid! A sizable difference. I called customer service to get the clearance price, but I was told that I would have had to make my claim within 48 hours. I spoke to two customer service reps, with the same answer each time. I wrote to the customer service department and received an email back that they have already applied the discount, and did I have any other complaints. I responded that they did not even address the clearance issue, and have not heard from them since. I email them every day, and get no response.
If you buy from this company, be darn sure you are willing to pay the price. I have not even opened the box yet, in anticipation of returning it, but the shipping cost alone would make it untenable. I WILL NEVER ORDER FORM OVERSTOCK AGAIN - AND I WILL ALERT EVERYONE I KNOW TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM AS WELL. There are plenty of reputable companies to do business with.

Ordered an area rug online, but two days prior to delivery, Overstock cancelled the order claiming "out of stock" due to "overwhelming request." However, the same rug continued to be available online. I ordered it again (but the price had gone up), & surprisingly the rug was in stock. (Btw, it was on the same day they allegedly were not in stock). I was advised that my previous order would not be honored at the lower price. Overstock.com is anything but what they claim to be. We ordered the Manchester Traditional 5 piece bedroom set with an additional nightstand. All pieces were delivered the with exception of our dresser. We were guaranteed ALL of our furniture would be in by 8/8. It is now 8/7 and after 3 days of back and forth between Overstock and the carrier (XPO Logistics) the item has still not been located. They issued a 24 hour doc search for the item and it was still not located. As of today (8/7) Overstock informed us they are “working on” getting us a replacement. That’s all we’ve heard for the past several days. Overstock is “working on” this issue. As your customers, we expect answers and not just to be strung along for days by different customer service agents. Also, your clients SHOULD NOT be the ones contacting these carriers directly looking for their shipments. That is your job!!
I’ve never had this issue when ordering smaller items (rugs, etc). Overstock’s Oversized Furniture department needs a major rehabilitation if they’re looking to grow this side of the business. Needless to say, we will not be ordering full sets of furniture items from Overstock in the near future. Stay away from ordering any items considered “oversized” like full furniture sets and larger pieces of furniture. Better off going to an actual furniture store or picking up items on your own.

We ordered new furniture one month ago for an event at work. Guess what? Still not here. We had notifications that it would be delivered from 3-7 tomorrow, so we scheduled and PAID staff to be here after hours. Delivery was never even attempted. We call the delivery company they contracted out and they were incredibly rude. "We won't be back in the area until sometime next week maybe". INCREDIBLE. On a $6,000 order. Overstock is refusing to respond to my pleas for help. I have never in my life been treated like this from a business. USE WAYFAIR - they're much more professional & quick.

I ordered a pillow almost two month ago now. They, "Claim" to have shipped it on July 4th, it still has not been delivered to my home. I can't get an answer from anyone. They sure can take your money the day you order the product but, can't deliver. When trying to track the order it says, (as of July 16th) that they can't share any other information on tracking of the order. I guess I will need to call the Better Business Bureau.

I think you can judge a business by how they handle issues. The customer service at Overstock is TERRIBLE. I ordered a patio umbrella and it wasn’t delivered on the day they “estimated” so nbd ask when it will be here “Tomorrow” is the answer. I ask a day later, “Tomorrow” is the answer AGAIN. Call CS again and now it will be here in 2-3 MORE business days. That’s a full week from the estimated arrival. They have zero accurate answers nor do they care. Never ordering from them again. EVER.

I was told to expect my delivery tomorrow, and then the delivery company called and told me that they were going to let my delivery sit in their warehouse for over a week until they got around for finding room on a truck. This is a mattress, so heaven only knows what it will smell like when it gets here since it is so hot and humid now. The problem with Overstock is that they do not employ competent shipping companies. I called them, and they do not have any procedure for taking complaints. The company does some things well, but clearly does not care about improving the customer's experience.

This has been a nightmare!!! Do yourself a favor and don't buy furniture from these folks. Over a month ago I bought a bed and a headboard from Overstock.com. That's where the nightmare began. They sent me 2 beds, a headboard, a quilt, and a pillow. The headboard and one of the beds were so badly damaged I couldn't put them together. The nuts and screws were all loose in the box. I never opened the second bed after all I only ordered 1. After weeks of texting and calling they gave me credit for 1 bed and the headboard. However, they did not refund the money to their leasing company and they began to hold out notes from my bank account.
When I called Progressive Leasing they said call Overstock. When I called Overstock they said call Progressive. To date they have not credited my account for the 2nd bed or refunded the money to Progressive Leasing. I wouldn't buy another bed from these people if I had go sleep on the floor. DON'T BUY HERE!!! I ordered several things from Overstock.com in one order. 3 hours after the order I found that my husband had also ordered one of the items (bed frame). I called and spoke with customer service. It was a horrible experience. I felt as if I were on a smoke break with the representative. She was constantly coughing in my ear, and sounded as if she were smoking and not once did not once say excuse me. I told her the situation, she pulled up the order and said she was contacting the warehouse to cancel.
The following day I received an email stating the order had already been shipped but I could contact returns/shipping and PAY to have it returned. 2 days after my conversation with customer service and one day after I was told the product had shipped I received an email from the warehouse that the item was being shipped. They lied about the order and not being able to cancel and about it being already shipped. I feel that they did this so that they can charge a shipping/return fee. I do the majority of my shopping online due to my busy work schedule. I will never purchase from Overstock.com nor will I recommend them to anyone in the future.

I placed an order on Overstock.com for 3 separate items. One was a down pillow a set of 4 for almost $100. Upon receiving the item I noticed the bad smell and that the pillows were not filled completely so as soon as you laid on it it went completely flat. I called the company to issue a return because the item for the cost was misleading and not well made. They told me I can send it back but charged me over $15 to ship it back to them even though the item was unusable.
The other item took over 3 weeks to arrive and I ended up sending that back too because it was way past the delivery promise date and I was lied to multiple times by their reps on the status. I am currently in the process of filing a complaint on this company with the BBB. For the multiple issues. Its the principle of them standing by what they sell if they choose to sell sub par items for an exuberant amount that their not worth, and to stop using the bad shipping company that multiple customers have complained about because of the amount of time it takes to get their items and how bad the site is of showing up to date shipping statuses. I will NEVER buy from Overstock again. Worse experience of my life.

Ordered an entertainment center. Been looking for a certain one. Finally found it. It arrived on time, and we did not assemble it until a couple weeks later as we had a broken foot happen. Started assembling and realized it was not what I wanted. Went online and could not find the one I ordered but this one had the number I ordered. I’m positive they switched on me as this one was marked with a 25% off making it the same price as the one I ordered. Got it all put together except drawers and discovered parts were missing. Called and was told that they would look around the warehouse and see if they could find the parts and if/when they did they would ship them to us. How much you anyone want to bet I never see my drawers. First and last time I buy from this company.

I ordered a blanket on 7/4. Tracking, when I could get it to work, said it was shipped on 7/5. Almost 2 weeks later, I am still waiting. Overstock is aware of the awful shipping record their shipper has. But, knowing this, they still use it. They would rather lose customers than use a more reliable company. Then, instead of Overstock helping me, they just referred me to that shipper who does not help. If anyone buys from Overstock, they take the same chance of not getting their delivery. Even a good buy isn't good if you never get your purchase.

I purchased an office suite from Overstock and never received an order confirmation. I later see the item I purchased was out of stock. I called customer service who re assured me my order did go through and was being processed. The next day upon checking my bank online I see the refund from Overstock for the office suite. When I called the customer service rep told me there was inventory error and the office suite was out of stock. I was completely disappointed in the lack of communication and the fact they can't keep proper inventory. Will not be shopping here again.

I ordered two comforters on June 28th. They were supposed to be delivered on the 6th of July, which is quite a long delivery time to begin with. On the 6th I checked to see if they were out for delivery but the delivery date had been changed to the 8th. I chatted online with customer service and they were all apologetic but didn’t do anything about it. Just assured me they were sorry and the items would be delivered today. Today customer service tells me to give them one more day. This order was for an Airbnb I own and the order is critical. I have to go out today and spend more money on a comforter because Overstock couldn’t be bothered to call the carrier and ensure my order was delivered today.

I recently made a large purchase via Overstock.com. This was my first "big ticket" experience with them, having only ever used them once before for a small gift. I ordered a full King bed set including mattress, box spring, headboard/foot-board with railing, sheet set and mattress cover. First of all, a few days after I placed my order, a customer service agent contacted me to verify my billing address (we moved to last fall) and I confirmed that address I had on the order was correct. Several days after that, I received two communications that one of my orders had just been delivered TO THE OLD ADDRESS! I did make sure my new address was on the order when I did it on my phone, but somehow, it defaulted to our old address evidently.
I immediately picked up the phone to call and let them know that it was the wrong address and there was a second item scheduled to be delivered later that day, so I wanted to avoid that as well. They seemed very confused, trying to find fault in my ordering process rather than being interested in catching the shipments and re-routing to the correct address, and I started receiving email and text dings telling me my items were delivered TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! I reached out to them in every feasible manner to make sure they corrected this and was told, after hearing different stories from three different agents, that this person was going to take care of it and follow up with me personally - I never heard back from her. I continued to check my shipment schedules (because, of course all five items had to ship/arrive separately), and no changes were made to my delivery address.
I continued to call and try to follow up and eventually, items were re-routed to me and my shipping address. I'll save the painstaking details of the relentless constant attempts by me to make sure there were no more mishaps, but again, every time I called customer service or texted them, I seemed to get someone who tried to give me a 'pat' answer and I had to ask them to please read the account notes before responding. Weeks went by and I wasn't getting updates, so eventually someone named "Stefanie" started responding via email to try to give me some kind of update - but they could not provide information on the bed furniture as it was a large item (obviously being shipped from China or another country).
I tried to contact the shipper and for weeks, got an information unavailable page - until finally I read that it was supposed to arrive at the local port (about an hour from us) and then I'd heard from someone to get delivery scheduled - needless to say, I did not hear anything. I continued to contact the shipper, who eventually ended with Schneider Trucking, and as of a few days ago, I got my furniture. I ordered these items at the end of May and it took a month to get all five items. I have no problem with the actual items, for the most part, but I will never, EVER use Overstock.com again under any circumstances. Their customer service was far lacking in their ability to appropriately handle this situation and then the shipping companies that they used were inept as well.
I know a lot of people swear by and have had good experiences with Overstock.com and to that I can only say, you were/are lucky. I hope no one ever has to experience what I went through when placing an order. I learned several things during this experience and will probably think very hard before making a large purchase such as this online. I thought I would take advantage of some Memorial day sales, little did I know it was not worth the frustration.

I ordered eight chairs that were advertised as "Material: Leather, Metal, Upholstered" and they were not leather. I confirmed that by looking at the manufacturer's site, which clearly stated "faux leather." I contacted Overstock customer service and they gave me a lecture about different types of "leather" (yes really) and then charged $179 to return what was falsely advertised. I realized immediately on my Overstock online order for a rug that cost over $1000 that I did not select the no interest option. I originally selected it and then it reverted to a high interest plan when a coupon code I entered was denied. I was told by an Overstock.com rep this happens often. I contacted both Overstock who told me once that the account will be changed to the no interest within a few days and that they would handle it with Comenity Bank. I was told in a follow up that no they won’t be doing anything and that I have to contact Comenity.
Comenity says no and I will just be billed high interest since the wrong button was set when the coupon was denied, even though I had selected it and notified them repeatedly. Immediately and then continued the effort. This is truly an unfair practice to the consumer. It’s misleading and deceptive. I ended up having to pay for my entire purchase in one month because I was kept in the dark. Because I threw a fit and kept pushing I got an email after the fact that I in fact could revert to the zero interest. What a headache and terrible position to put a customer in for a simple click of a wrong button.

Monday FedEx allegedly tried to deliver my package. Couldn't get in the front gate so they left a door tag. Now from the front gate you can see the back gate which is about 15 yards away. And it was wide open. So sent out emails to FedEx and to Overstock. Did online chat with Overstock. Thought it was resolved. Tuesday I get the door tag. Write on it. Back gate wide open. Big piece of paper. Back gate wide open and tape it to the front gate. Well, go out only to find out that I missed FedEx and they left another door tag on the front gate. So I contacted Overstock again. "Rest assured this will be handled."
Got email from Overstock saying that FedEx delivered my package to me today. My instant pot crock pot. Which is a crock of #####. Got message from FedEx on their app that my package was delivered to the FedEx store like 40 minutes away from me. Not the one I gave Overstock that is only 3 miles away from me. Now waiting to hear back. Are any of you veterans or on disability going through similar **? I have been on social security disability since October 2010 For PTSD and fibromyalgia. I ordered patio set from Overstock.com but after waiting 2 weeks for delivery only 2 pieces of a 6 piece patio set arrived. I call customer support and they told me there should be a 2nd box and it should arrive on another truck. After checking my order I noticed that only 1 box shipped. I called customer support back and they admitted that they indeed sent out only 1 box. It was my 1st purchase with Overstock but I will never purchase from them again. You only get one shot at a first impression.

I placed my order May 23rd. Finally it has been delivered. However, in the beige color instead of gray/brown. I placed return/exchange to different color right away June 8th and we have June 20th. NOTHING from them other than they asked for pictures few days later which I emailed right away. My living room is full of boxes and I have no information what's next. Graduation party in 10 days. I recently purchased a dining set that was marked down 4 days later by $180. Then when I used my Club O points to order a rug, I never received it! That is too much of a coincidence, especially since I wrote a review about my order being marked down and I was not satisfied with Overstock. When I first reviewed the product, they left it up because I was happy with the product. But when I updated it to state that they marked down the order 4 days later and I was not happy, my review was removed! I will never order from them again. Buyer be aware!

The only online vendor I know that charges for product before actually processing and shipping out the product. Other online vendor I've purchase from does not charge your credit card until the item has been processed and is shipped out. Right off the bat... I already don't like their business practice. I placed another order on the same day on Amazon, and it was processed, shipped and will be arriving to my house today. Being such a big online retailer, I would've thought they would have faster logistic and reasonable billing practice comparable to other larger online retailer. As a consumer, we shouldn't pay for services/product that hasn't been provided or rendered.

Few minutes later I realized it wasn’t for me and since two weeks ago, I am after my money, no delivery and they have kept my money and not refunding it. I really liked my other purchases on Overstock until it came to this purchase. I purchased 2 orders of these dining chairs for my new apartment. One order = 2 chairs, so 2 orders = 4 chairs. I only received 2 chairs. I contacted Overstock and they told me that UPS probably lost the second box and to wait 48 hours. After the 48 hours, then they would send me a replacement order if I still haven't received it. I waited and it still didn't arrive. I contacted Overstock again and they told me to wait another 2 days for them to trace it. You couldn't do that the first time? They said they will try to trace it and within 1-2 days, they will send me a replacement order if they cannot locate it. Why can't you just send me a replacement order while you look for it? It is not on me that you lost it. So I asked for a refund.
Again, they tell me they cannot process a refund for me until they locate the box. WTF? That doesn't make any sense at all. I was at home all day when it was supposed to be delivered. I received one set of the chairs and my dining table. So it is NOT on me. You can't say that it was delivered and that no one was home to receive it. I don't see why I cannot get a refund for something that they cannot keep track of. They just want to take your money and let you deal with your losses. The product itself (the two that I did receive) isn't even that great. They look really pretty, but they feel cheap and the cushions are very stiff, not super comfortable. I tried to put this review on Overstock but they denied it because it was shipping related and not product-related. Uh yeah it is shipping related, but it is also CUSTOMER SERVICE related. Very poor customer service.

Stay away from Overstock! I ordered furniture using special 24-month no interest financing and opened an Overstock credit card in order to receive said financing. However, when I received my Overstock credit card statement, it stated that I did not have any promotional interest period and would be charged 25% interest if I didn't pay off my balance in full the next month. I called both the credit card company and Overstock and neither would agree to honor the 24-month no interest financing which I was eligible for and should have received.
The person at Overstock whom I spoke to acknowledged that she had no way to prove that I didn't select the special financing offer at the time of purchase - although clearly I was eligible for it and was asking for it! - And absolutely refused to give me the financing. I paid off the credit card balance then immediately closed the account. I will not maintain a credit card account with such a terrible business and will never buy anything from Overstock again. First and last purchase!

Overstock.com is probably the worst website to order from. Their customer service is absolutely terrible and the quality of their product is below average. I ordered from them with confidence that I would be receiving a comfortable beautiful bed, which was not the case. It took close to a month to receive this. After multiple phone calls, emails, & frustrations, I finally received it just to find out that various pieces were missing. Once expressed, they took another two weeks just to send me the wrong pieces. Instead of correcting the situation or having corporate call me, they told me to buy the parts on my own. Safe to say, I cannot use the bed. Will look into suing this company.

I have been waiting 4 weeks for my new couch to be delivered. I got a call from the delivery service and they said they can deliver Wednesday between 9 and 1. I am a teacher. I said I can be home after 4:30 any day of the week or be available on the weekend. He said they never come to my town except between 9 and 1. So I literally have to take a day off of work to sit at home and wait for them to deliver my couch. He told me to contact Overstock and tell them that I didn't want signature delivery but they require it. I told them to take their couch back and forget it and they told me it would be up to $600 for me to return the couch. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Go with a delivery company that is more flexible. I am NOT taking a day off to sign for a stupid couch.

I have shopped with Overstock.com multiple times over the past 4 years. I have decided not to shop with them any more. You cannot tell the quality of the product from the pictures. Often reviews are not there or do not mention quality. It will cost you over $12 an item to return so think carefully before buying. Even a shower curtain return was almost $13. Not worth it when so many online stores have free returns.

I ordered a vanity with a granite countertop on April 20th, which was shipped on April 26th and delivered on May 3rd. When it was delivered, the countertop was broken in two pieces, and I immediately notified the delivery person who refused to accept the return. Then, I talked to an Overstock rep, who told me that they would work on the issue and let me know the resolution within 2 - 5 business days. Today is May 13th and it’s been 10 days. I’ve reached out almost everyday to get an update, but all I got was just to wait and be hopeful.

I have ordered 3 times from Overstock and was only happy with 1 purchase. The first time I needed to call customer service was when I ordered a mattress. I received the mattress and it was defective. It was sinking in upon arrival. I called to return the item and ask them for a refund. They told me that mattresses aren't returnable and they couldn't give me my money back. After that fiasco, I told myself to never shop with them again. Somehow I did. Now I made a purchase with their store credit card and I mistakenly entered a wrong digit in my banking account number while paying off the purchase completely while there was no payment due at the time (before my bill generated). I got a notice a couple days later saying my payment didn't go through. I found out that I typed 1 digit wrong somehow so I fixed the error immediately and made the payment again with success.
A month later I have a bill for $27 for returned payment because of the error. I contacted customer service to attempt to get the fee waived and they flat out told me no. I never carry a balance on this card and only used it twice and paid the bill immediately and I couldn't get that fee waived once??? I'm closing my account and never using them again! Run from this company! They only want your money! Once they got it, you're no longer a factor! God forbid you get a defective product or need to contact them for anything! RUN!!!!

Em: I have a Club O Membership which offers free returns. I recently purchased an item on the Overstock website that listed as a “marketplace Seller”. I was able to use my Club O reward dollars on the purchase as well as earning Club O points in the purchase. It was shipped for free per the terms of my Club O Membership. But when I went to return the item, I was told that I would be charged a 50% restocking fee as well as the shipping cost. After 3 hours and 4 customer service agents I was told that due to being a 3rd party vendor my membership doesn’t apply so no free return for me! What?? My membership applied to every other aspect of the purchase and there is absolutely NO disclaimer stating that Club O Memberships are not valid on Marketplace vendors purchases.
When I spoke to Curtis, Dominique, Donna and Naomi, I was also told that “you should have known” and “your points are absolutely not applied (which they were)” and “nothing we can do”. I asked all of them to point out any terms and conditions that listed this caveat to the membership and not one of them could direct me to it. Then it was back to “you should have known”. I truly believe that this is a bait and switch and I am wondering if there is a class action out there because certainly it is affecting others.
I have filed with the Attorney General as well. Overstock.com’s customer service truly lags behind the industry standard. When I mentioned to one of the agents that my Amazon Prime membership covers outside vendors they stated, “We're not Amazon”. I can attest to that. Save yourself the trouble and go with another company. These guys are truly substandard. I will reiterate what another poster stated. I spoke rob Donna as well. She is incredibly rude and insulting. In all of my years of being a consumer it was hard to believe that any company would have someone like her be the last impression that you have.

Ordered a cabinet April 5th. Said it was shipped and estimated arrival 4/18. Got an updated arrival date of 4/25. On 4/30 I called. They said they would look for the package and call me back. No return call. On May 1st I contacted them again through text. The Customer Service agent told me they were out of stock. She would look for my package that had been delivered but they would go ahead and cancel the order if they couldn't find it after 4 days. This is my first and last time using OverStock. Stick with Amazon. I've never had any trouble with them. Terrible customer service.

I ordered a tableo. Fund a different one somewhere else.. Got table today. Called Overstock to return this. I paid $89 for the table. They told me that they could email me a return label and they would deduct $46 out of my refund to cover my return fees. I will never purchase anything again from Overstock. Purchased a hair product item only. But was shipped [along with the item I actually ordered] a vase that was not in my cart when I ordered hair product. Wanted to return the vase was told I'd have to pay shipping of $16 to return item I never ordered! As part of their "friendly customer service" I was offered a free return if I became a member of "Club O" for $19/year [how ludicrous].
How's that for a bait and switch routine! After "chatting" with CS, they finally "discounted" the ship fee by 50% and told me to take return to nearest UPS store which is 35 miles away. Customer service [oxymoron alert] then offered to arrange a UPS pickup for an additional $25.26! Again out of their great concern for my satisfaction they reduced the UPS charge by half!
The whole ordeal took up 45 mins of my time "dickering" with their customer service just to return an item that I didn't order!! Finally, after advising CS that I would be visiting this and all other similar sites, they arranged UPS pickup at no charge! But I'm still charged $6.32 for the return which in turn will cost them a lot more as I will not be visiting OS ever again. Their business plan obviously includes some very shady practices. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of buying from OS.com!

She blamed us for wear and tear and any child could see that the rug we purchased had been repaired and was not in "New" condition. She was extremely rude and stated they do not rent rugs. What! Overstock does not stand behind what they sell nor the customer. They will find reasons and excuses that it is not their problem. She added I needed to contact the manufacturer which if she would have read my email she would know that I already had. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM OVERSTOCK - YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Original Review: Vintage Distressed Overdyed Cyril Purple/Blue Rug. At first we loved it, it looked great. After one plus years we noticed a discoloration in a small 4" x 6" square which revealed a repair had been done. Nothing in the description stated a repair was made. After 2 weeks of ordering product I wanted a status. The tracking link in the email sent did not work so I called in. Status was order not confirmed. 3 weeks out, I call again and was promised someone will call me back in 48 hours due to status closed-not delivered. No one called me. Called back in 2 days and was told the product was a the destination city and someone from the local port would call me within 48 hours. They could not schedule the delivery. 5 days, no phone call. I call back and was told shipment came in several boxes and that's the reason for delay. All boxes are now received and was told someone will be calling waiting 48 hours. It's been 4 weeks and no product. Such BS---bad service! I will never use Overstock again.

I went on the website to shop around then upon checking out I was offered an Overstock card in which I got approved for 5k so the card comes in and I go online to purchase some items using the card. It goes through then 3 days later all the things I ordered get cancelled for no reason so I reach out to Overstock and they inform me to call Synchrony Bank in which I did then they connected me with fraud department which was extremely rude. They treated me like I was wanted for murder or something. He asked me to provide front and back of my id, social and a utility bill and then he said he would call back and that I should receive a letter.. Why am I having to go through all this?
They said that they are making sure that I am who I say I am after they have already approved me and put a hard pull on my credit file but I provided the info anyway but after that creep crap they pulled I no longer want the card and since they wanna treat me like a crook then I'll just return the favor by contacting the credit bureaus and disputing the hard inquiry. 2 can play that game!!!! No need for them to further reach out to me or have me provide anything further. They can keep the 5k...THE END!!!!

Online credit application doesnt give option of denying amount accepted for. When I tried to cancel my approval by phone only can talk to computer. Instead of cancelling it within 10 minutes of approval the account was closed!! I don't know what the impact on my credit will be but it should have been as easy as canceling my request for credit. If a human had misunderstood me wanting to close this account would it have still been set in stone? When humans finally got on phone Gerald claims nothing he could do except open it back up. Hard to believe he couldn't fix the automated mistake. To top it off only way to complain about this web problem is to write a letter!!! Even Gerald saw the irony in this!

I ordered a sink, later on I receive an email confirming that the item has been sent, and the tracking number was provided. I was even given an estimated arrival date. But in reality nothing was sent. The shipping provider company stated "Label created". I finally decided to contact customer service and ask what was going on. And got news - my order has been canceled a day ago. No emails. And like a magic they found one more sink the same model and promise to send it to me. So, they creating a new order, "cancel" the original one and all story is repeated again. No sink, not even shipping confirmation. Contacting them again. And again - news! The item was going to be sent in 2 months from now. And new order is just submitted, and the sink will be sent by the original order... Do you get it? because I'm not.
And I have a company working on my countertop coming next week, and of course they need the sink. So I asked to cancel all of my orders (as I'm not sure what they did else under my account). I will need to contact them again a few times to make sure everything is done right. I regret I didn't research this company before making any purchase. I would definitely never deal with it if I did.

Customer Service is the worst that I have ever experienced in online purchasing. They advertised a coupon for 15% which had no exceptions and then would not honor it. I asked to stop the order and they said it already shipped and said they would charge me 20% to return the item. They are not a reputable firm. I have been ordering through Overstock since last 2018 and have enjoyed their service for two reasons: My items arrived safely and without damage, second, they prompt you when your order has been placed and when it is being shipped out. Last March 28 at 11:05 am PT, I ordered an item. I reached out to customer service on the same day at 12:14 PM PT. He/She said she/ he will try to stop the shipment and that someone will reach out to me after 1-2 business days. On March 29, at 6:09 am PT, I received a message saying the item has been shipped. From the time I made a request, no one reached out to me for any follow throughs.
On the same day at 6:23 am PT or 14 mins later, I reached out to customer service again and told them I cancelled the item. I also sent the photos of text history to the representative. The representative apologized and said he/she sent an email requesting to contact UPS to cancel the delivery of the item. April 3 at 5:05 pm PT, I received a message that items were delivered. It is so disappointing how there were no follow through or updates and I get charged $50+ to return the item. It's not rocket science to be in a customer service position and not be able to efficiently handle an issue from start to finish. They were satisfied with the fact that they were able to make the request and not care what goes on after.

Let me rate my experience with Overstock as the worst ever. I would rate the product if it was to ever arrive. Five weeks and nothing! My first time using Overstock and my last. Their product description on Amazon said 3 boxes of a dozen red erasable pens for approximately $47.00. What I received was 3 pens. Only. Not a dozen and especially not 3 dozen. Only 3. For $47.00?! I emailed them and they said the product description was wrong and they apologize. I said ok, will you send me the other 33 pens that I paid for? Or give me a credit and I will just reorder the correct amount. Nope. They sure won't. I have to send the 3 red pens back before they will refund my $47.00. They sent me a return label, but seriously? I have to send 3 pens back or they will keep my $47.00??!! It's stupid. Common sense. Common decency. Logical thinking.
If they possessed any of those qualities, they would see how ridiculous it is for me to have to send 3 ink pens back. I could understand if I received 3 dozen blue pens, when I wanted red. But they are holding my $47.00 for 3 not 33 not 23 but 3 pens. The CSR needs to be given some freedom of discernment. Save on the postage of sending 3 pens. Deduct what 3 pens would cost from my $47.00 and give me an Amazon credit of the difference. Wouldn't that make it so much easier, logical, smoother exchange/refund process?

I bought a ring near $ 500. The stone was full and desired to return it. The band was perfect, no scratches. I wore it 4 days. I got insurance on the return. When they got it they said it was damaged with scratches. And refused to give me my money back. Then returned it to me deliberately DAMAGED! Deep grooves and scratches in the band. They SAY THEIR WAREHOUSE WOULD NEVER DO THAT. And say I sent it back that way. So it my word against them. They lie, damage and steal your money!! This is an awful Company. STAY AWAY. Multiple complaints to customer service. They denied it every time. I am stuck to pay for damaged goods! Horrible. Zero ⭐️. I had to put one just to write this.

Wow, Overstock.com makes RETURNS TOUGH as I read on here. I thought it was just issues with my purchase but it seems to be an on going trend! I re-purchased a purse that I had bought before 4 years ago. LOVE the purse, wanted another one! So I buy it off Overstock.com. The leather company was the same. Same Name and Look of the purse so indeed It is the SAME purse so I purchased it. Lo and behold it arrives and the manufacture shortened the leather straps by like 3 inches so now the purse doesn’t fit the same. I’m a tall girl and it just wont work for me anymore…easy enough right? Well, not with Overstock.
First, on the website when I tried to create a shipping label myself I was literally almost TRICKED into paying for the shipping! When I noticed the shipping cost in Red writing at the bottom of the page it “Seemed” that’s what I would pay…but WHY? I was sure I must had been interpreting it wrong so thankfully I called and I was correct! If you choose to return a purchase for ANY REASON using their WEBSITE you AUTOMATICALLY agree to buyers remorse and agree to pay for the shipping back!! Absurd!!!
So over the phone I told the associate that the purse was NOT what I expected as the manufacturer shortened the straps when the employee said that he was able to grant me the return label ONLY because the length of the straps were not included in the description. So of course I asked him if the dimensions did so happen to be included you wouldn’t be able to grant me the refund? He said YES!!!! WHAT??? For something that should have been uniform (Like a shoe size) and something SO trivial I would have had to PAY for return shipping!!! Who looks at something so trivial when you buy the SAME item from the SAME company of the SAME name… you just simply expect the same product but Overstock.com doesn’t think so. For an 100% Online company to be so cheap and cut throat about shipping I will certainly shop elsewhere. As of today I will NEVER BUY FROM OVERSTOCK.COM AGAIN!!! I narrowly avoided a big headache!

Before my order, or payment, had even been processed, I requested to cancel the order. They refused. Result: $97+ in shipping costs billed to me for an item I requested to cancel just 4 hours after placing the order. I fail to see how making their warehouse ship and then receive the same item is good business practice when surely an email or phone call could have cancelled the order before anything was shipped in the first place. Note that the item indicated on the listing that it would take 2-3 days to ship.

I really wanted this Keter Cool Bar Patio Beverage Cooler. Overstock has it at $100.00 CND, I was about to order 2, when I noticed the shipping charge is also $100 - Crazy right. So I did a research, you can find it at walmart.com for $67.00. I ended up purchasing 2 on amazon.ca, a couple of dollars more expensive, but no charge for Shipping. SERIOUSLY OVERSTOCK.CA you need to do something about your shipping rates. With so much competition like wayfair.ca, & Amazon. Canadians are people too, and we are not across an ocean. This is not a navy rug. Not even close. It is medium ocean blue at best. Much different color than expected. I ordered from Walmart, not realizing when I ordered it it was coming from a 3rd party- Overstock. I tried to return it to Walmart, which is when I was informed that it had actually come from Overstock and I would have to deal with them on the return. I stated that I had ordered it from Walmart online. The example I was given is the Amazon sells third party items. It works the same way, except it doesn't. Customers send their stuff back to Amazon and they get it back to the third party company.
Walmart referred me to Overstock where it came from. They will accept a return minus $28.69 shipping fees, which is almost half the price of the rug. ($61.27) I explained that this isn't even close to the pic in color and it is definitely not navy as stated. They said they aren't responsible for the color differences on computer monitors and therefore, will not provide return shipping. I went round and round with them, this is not as described or pictured, but to no avail. I would have to pay to return the rug. So buyer beware when dealing with Walmart. And also Overstock. Both are scam artists. This is the second problem with Overstock. I ordered a dresser that came very damaged. I am in the process of buying a new house and will be in need of many household items. You may rest assured, I will not be purchasing anything from Overstock. They are unreliable and do not stand by their products. BTW- I can't even find this rug on Overstock's website.

I had no idea this product was made in China. Tracking was difficult to use and it took WAY too long, like 2 months, for this item to get here. The package came damaged and the bars were lightly soiled, as if it was a returned package to begin with! Customer service was horrible. I sent pics as requested to show item and was told I could ship it back, but not where to. Also they offered in an email a small credit but I never heard back. I sent several emails, each time a different person got back to me, and still a month later, this issue has not been resolved. I will NEVER order from Overstock.com ever again.

I found out Overstock.com will not refund or do anything about it since I didn’t call right away. Bought a Bissell carpet cleaner. Shows up a week late and open the box to find a used unit just thrown into an empty box with all the hardware tossed in afterwards. No packing, nothing. So it's beat up beyond words. We'll see how customer service responds to this but I'm not hopeful after reading the other reviews and customer service nightmares.

Purchase some items and it was not the right item. Now, they want me to paid for shipping return even it not my fault the item was wrong. It took several calls to complain and the persons sound like beginner.

I ordered luggage and the online order form clearly stated 1-3 days delivery, yet it's still not here 5 days later. Checked with online agent and he provided no help whatsoever, but just made lame excuses about I didn't read the fine print or rather 1-3 days really means something else. If I ever get the luggage I'll be surprised. Beware of ordering from overstock.com as it appears their internal processes are screwed up. Never again!

Deplorable that there is no quality control... These chairs came with stains and a loose zipper that broke off instantly. I paid over $900 for them. It took weeks to get them delivered and this is what I received. Also, it is impossible to talk to someone who will do something fast.

Bought a dresser from them in March 2019. They shipped me a mirror instead. I called to have it sent back and they told me that even though they sent the wrong item I had to pay almost $40 to have it shipped back. Their mistake but I HAD TO PAY. It wouldn't surprise me if they do this on purpose just to make you return something and make money off of it. It's ridiculous! Terrible company. BUYER BEWARE.

I purchased an expensive LG OLED TV (~$3000.00) back in November 2018 from Overstock. I found it cheaper elsewhere but went with Overstock because of the 24 month financing. I didn't realize the financing wasn't applied until I received the second bill. I called the Overstock's credit company who submitted a request to Overstock on my behalf and I just found out that Overstock has rejected my request because it is over 70 days. I will never purchase anything from Overstock again.

I ordered Safavieh Handmade South Beach Shag Snow White Polyester Rug in a runner size - rug shows up - it's the wrong rug. Called them and they were able to send a new rug out and gave me a shipping label to return the wrong one. I thought it was an isolated incident. So I ordered another Safavieh Handmade South Beach Shag Snow White Polyester Rug in small size. Mind you the color is snow white. What showed up was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. The rug has clearly been used - for a long time, the shag was clumped and knotted, the color was a dull grey from dirt and dust, it was covered in insects and the smell was so disgusting that I was airing out my first floor for a while to get it out. I am not sure I am going to be spending any money at this store again. Almost everything I get is either wrong or damaged. I honestly wish I read these reviews before I gave them any money.

As an active duty service member, I get Club O for free. I used to think that the program was a great deal. I’ve spent a bit of money over the years with Overstock and decided to opt out of Club O and shop elsewhere about 2 years ago. I’d received some shipments of damaged furniture and the service I received in rectifying this was poor. Currently, I rejoined Club O and ordered some things that I found cheaper elsewhere. I initiated 2 price match guarantees and got the run-around on both of them.
The condensed version of my experience is that 9/10 of the items that are for sale at Overstock are found cheaper elsewhere. Even with their coupons, sales, and 5% back in rewards/rewards for reviews. I stayed with Overstock because of the so-called perk of price matching that they don’t actually fulfill. I followed every guideline, and still they didn’t fulfill their guarantee. I’ll never shop there again. I’ll never recommend it to any other service member. The company is scamming people out of their money.

I purchased a Woolrich heated mattress pad in October of '18. King size, two controllers. One of the controllers quit working ALREADY. I contacted Overstock, they told me to contact the manufacturer, JLA Home (not Woolrich). I have repeatedly tried to call JLA, either get a message the mailbox is full, or leave a message and no one calls me back. I called Overstock back to tell them this, they told me to try Woolrich. Woolrich, licensed their name to JLA, so JLA is the original manufacturer. They told me to keep trying JLA. Shame on both of you: Woolrich (a name I heretofore associated with quality) and especially Overstock. Apparently your 'reduced' prices aren't worth it because you're selling crap that you don't stand behind.

I decided to use the chat function to communicate. I was unhappy with the color of the rugs because they were more gray than blue. I asked if I could return them without having to pay the shipping. The rep stated "Since you are a valued O customer I could." What I failed to realize was they would only give a store credit if I chose to return without being charged shipping. It would have been nice if they could have stated that clearly as I was ordering my replacement rugs while chatting and paying for them. So now I have a credit on my account and they said if they put the money back on my card I would have to pay $60 for shipping on a $116 order. They are crazy and just lost a 15 year customer. I will stick with Amazon. And they could learn a thing or two from Amazon.

Most horrible experience with this company. They don't have any control over their doings. I have ordered Reebok shoes from Overstock.com. The order went to third party seller. I entered the proper shipping details in Overstock website and opted for PayPal payment and selected the default option for shipping and billing, it took the shipping details from Paypal where I dont have updated address instead of details entered on its website. Within 24 hours I realized and called their customer service to correct the details they said it's not their hands, told to contact carrier.
Contacted carrier. They said they can't help me with the shipping option selected by Overstock garbage company. I emailed 3rd party seller to update the address when the status shows still under processing. He replies back saying, "I can't help you. Overstock should handle it." After making more than 10 times call to UPS and Overstock still the matter is not resolved and my order is lost. I have paid to the items which I dont have them. Thanks to Overstock. Better stay away from them.

We purchased an outdoor dining set in August of 2018. After 6 months and two rain falls, the wood slats warped and discolored. Overstockedwithgarbage.com went back to the manufacturer who refused to do anything about it. Overstockedwithgarbage.com would do nothing about it. They obviously have no power over a company whose merchandise they sell. So these pathetic jerks cost me over $ 700. They at first offered me $ 75. They told me I could appeal the decision by the manufacturer who gave no reason for not standing by their product. I did not buy the product from the manufacturer, I bought it from overstockedwithgarbage.com. BEWARE: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. If there are issues, you are just plained screwed.
