I ordered a grill through this company and I exchanged several different e-mails with them. However when I never received the grill, I reached out to them and I never have heard from them again, nor have I received a refund. So based off of my experience I would NOT recommend ordering anything from them.

8/16/25 I bought a sofa. On 8/21, 2 of 3 boxes arrived. 8/25 Called to find out about the missing box. CSR didn't know & I asked for trace. 8/29 called: CSR noted no trace was previously done; escalated. 9/1 Received email stating transit company returned damaged product to mfr & new part to be made 9/30. Called 9/2 & 9/4 escalated & asked for refund as resolution not acceptable & what to do with rest of sofa since it was vacuum sealed. Was told the scripted 3-5 biz days for response; same scripted reply. 9/11 Called for what to do with sofa; saw credit "in process" to credit card; told 3-5 biz days for mfr. to respond. 9/13 Noted removal of credit to credit card & called again; told supervisor wouldn't talk to me & will need to wait 3-5 biz days for posting. Took names of CSR & supervisor to report to attorney.

I also fell under the scam of a outdoor cat enclosure with an extremely low price and ordered 2. Naturally, I got 2 bookshelves delivered to me. After 3 calls to customer service and waiting for a supervisor to call me back, the resolution so far is after going through the process of opening the box, taking pictures of the manual of the product delivered and emailing to them and then scheduling a pick-up, I don't receive a refund until it hits their warehouse. The product I ordered is supposedly sold-out, I'm not allowed to wait for it to be back in stock and ultimately I will never get he product for what it was advertised for.
They have the same product in a different color of course, they were not willing to send me that one instead. (Of course, the price is completely different, which explains why). I'm being punished for false advertising. I was also promised a 50% off coupon by another customer service agent so I could purchase the other product that was 3 x's the cost and of course, she hung up on me and never sent the 50% off. Let's see if the supervisor calls back. Needless to say, NEVER AGAIN will I order from OVERSTOCK or BEYOND.

I purchased a headboard in May 2025. The headboard had bedbugs. I notify Overstock and they just said my warranty was over but to contact the manufacturer which I never could get through on the phone and there's no answer service. Poor service. I'm out of my money and I had to get extermination in Apt because, of the bed bugs. I will not be buying any furniture from Overstock or its partners.

I bought a necklace for my daughter because I have cancer and I wanted her to have something when I pass. I bought this from Overstock. Within three months, it started to tarnish.! I spent over $500 for this necklace. When I spoke to overstock, they refuse to even give me a credit or make it right.! Shame on you overstock!

Overstock does Not Do fair advertising! Their website Shows pictures of items with a price and That is Not what you get! The pictures of what you purchase are Not the price quoted— multiple pics show variations and you must realize the pic they highlight with faint outline is the Actual item you will receive- it is NOT the item pictured under the listed price! Very expensive lesson learned! Thought we bought table & 6 chairs- reality is only 2 chairs! And the order will Not show you the purchase until you download the app - awful customer care! Don't Use Overstock!

Consumers need to read the fine print, and be diligent, I realize, but when an ad is purposefully misleading, dare I say a blatant lie, what can you do? I ordered a three-piece picnic table set consisting of a table and two benches. It was marked down, and end of season. Just one bench was delivered, with the box stating, "Order may come in more than one shipment. Do not call ". After a month customer service informed me the purchase was for one bench, and that I needed to adjust the quantity toggle to get all three pieces. Why would I order 3 picnic table sets? Lesson learned: Deals too good usually aren't; Overstock has purposefully set up their site for this; Never use Overstock again.

Ordered a $1000 bed set and the mattress that is trying to bust out of box. It has lost the seal. I do not want a mattress that has a opening in the packing. They insisted that I should open it and check it. I don't want to open it because I will never get it back in there. Now, I have to take a picture but that was only after arguing with them.

Had a very bad experience with customer service. I purchased an item that was not clearly listed as final sale. All of other final sale items has a clear note on the page that also showed up in the shopping cart upon checkout. This particular item- you needed to click on description and scroll all the way to the bottom to find the note. This was either done in error or was intentionally done this way to mislead purchasers. I wanted to exchange for a smaller size and they refused to help me.

I ordered a Piezano on July 6 and cannot get any response as to why it hasn't shipped yet. Phone number does not work and I have received no response to email. I would not recommend ordering and wish I could leave zero stars.

I ordered a Black and Decker air conditioner portable unbelievable price $54.99 us, paid for it, got a couple confirming emails said they’d be shipped in a day or two. Yeah that was about going on six weeks ago now. Just get a standard replies. Email response if it sounds too good to be true it is.

We bought a Chair and started to put together. I have put many things together and handy with tools. Most of it was great and went together as the instructions stated. Then there was a bottom that takes 6 screws. The 3 on one side went in ok. The other side though the screws just would not get into the nut that is embedding in the unit. I spend an hour with every angle I could muster. I tried the only other screws in the package to be sure and they did not work either. Why would 3 of 6 screws work on one side and not the other.
Customer service is being very difficult to reach. In person call had a 55 minute wait all the times I tired to call. Email works but I learn that they have a 3rd party supplier that is also emailing. So there are long waits between sending photos and explanations and getting any type of answer. When I do the response appears that they were not read in any detail. I just need a replacement ottoman that will accept the 6 screws. The process to get information is long and only been email or texting. Seems that we are all going to spend more time and money on emails and text than what this actually costs.

Horrible customer service. If anything is wrong with your order don’t count on customer service or the website helping. I never did get my package and they refused to help when I called overstock after an hour on hold.

My experience has been horrible. Their merchandise arrives damaged most of the time. Poor customer service and delayed credits on return. Their phone queue is over one hour. They never return email messages. It has been a nightmare dealing with the return of furniture; UPS left one box behind because they only provided 2 return labels when they needed labels for 3 return boxes. I am still waiting for credit on a return after 30 days. Spare yourself the headache and DO NOT ORDER from them.

Received order with damaged box. Upon opening found damage to an outdoor cushion cover. Contacted “Beyond Customer Service" on June 27 with multiple follow up contacts. As of July 21, there is still no response. Attempted to call and automated system said 108 minute wait time. First and last purchase.

Overstock is not an honest company. I received an item that was damaged. I first contacted their “beyond customer service” on June27 with three follow up emails. As of July 16, they have not even bothered to respond. I attempted to call and the robot system said there was a 108 minute wait time. How ridiculous is that? I will never order from Overstock again and advise others to not order. Their customer service is nonexistent.

I just received two outdoor chairs. Very disappointed with the quality. I don't think they will survive our Florida climate very long. After looking at the chairs in person I can see they were overpriced and quality sucks. I will stay away from this store in the future.

Purchased a king size bedroom frame on May 29, 2025. Received Box on June 27. Box was totally destroyed and missing footboard sideboards and misc hardware. Contacted Overstock 6/18 day product was received. They did not reply after 2 additional contacts. Contacted Paypal for assistance and after 1 week, they offered full purchase price refunded, however product was to be shipped back by 7/13 has offered a 832 refund but no shipping provided upon searching for shippers it would cost about 700 to return item. That is unacceptable. This is a nonreputable business practice and no one should trust products sold by overstock.

Product is misshapen- missing 3" of length on one side and 5 inches of length on the other. I ordered a very expensive custom-cut rug pad and now I may have to cut it to fit (a product that doesn't fit the room properly in the first place.) Emailed customer service seven days ago and it's been radio silence. They have done nothing to make it right. Garbage product and BARBAGE customer service. BUYER BEWARE.

We bought our entertainment console from overstock in 2022. It looked really nice and matched our other furniture. Fast forward to 2025, we started seeing something like saw dust on top. They were wood dust from furniture beetles burrowing through. Consulted a pest control company and was told these bugs lay dormant for years. Called Overstock customer, got the run around, was told it was past the 2 year warranty. We told them that these bugs lay dormant for 7 years and we're only on 3. Never addressed the issue even though they said that it was escalated. They get their wood from somewhere and not treat it properly. Instead they just put lacquer over it and seal it. Pay $1300.00 for an alleged "Italian gold" necklace. Free shipping when you purchase. I received the cheapest piece of junk. Did not look anything like what they were selling online!!! I called to return 5 minutes after receiving only to be charged $40.00 shipping to return! What a scam! Never again will I buy from Overstock!

My late husband purchased a DAWAD Toaster Oven Air Fryer Combo Countertop Convection Oven from Bed, Bath and Beyond. He passed away shortly after buying it for me. I have had it a little over a year and it just stopped working. Overstock/Bed, Bath and Beyond is refusing to issue a replacement. An oven such as this should last more than one year. I tried plugging it into other outlets and it will not work. The power button is defective. and they refuse to do anything about it. You would think they would stand up for the products they sell.

I Ordered a cocktail table that was shown on website.. When I received confirmation in my e-mail IT WAS A DIFFERENT COCKTAIL TABLE, I called customer service ASAP.. To Stop the ORDER.. Overstock would NOT.. They said it has to delivered to my home.. Ten return.. I was not going to accept the wrong order from the drivers.. But the drivers left a cocktail table in front of my door, did not even ring a doorbell that the table arrived. It could have been stolen ASAP. We DID NOT EVEN OPEN THE BOX.. and calling to get it picked up.. IT IS NOT THE TABLE WE ORDERED, OVERSTOCK NOW WANTS US TO PAY SHIPPING CHARGES, which Overstock knew days before it is not our order.. And yet might charge stocking fee.. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING!! You might get a different order and pay more to get it shipped back..

I recently ordered two bar stools from Overstock.com. One of boxes did not have the correct hardware to assemble all four legs. I requested hardware from customer service back in mid March 2025. The items received on 21 April 25, do not match my original order, nor my follow-up request. I have now spoken to several different representatives. Still searching for a resolution.

Specifications below that were not visible: I had to drop down a template that then read. I ordered a shower door, which was delivered after about 6 weeks. Because of that, and it being the holidays, I didn't open the box until after the holidays. I realized it opened the wrong way and so I contacted Overstock right away about returning it, and they said the return time period was 30 days and it had been 35 days so they would not let me return it. I asked, "What should I do with the door, because it won't work for me, should I just put it in a landfill?" They said, yup. Completely unethical company. Stay AWAY!

Make sure to read and review the return/exchange policy before ordering any product from Overstock. I bought a rug, which was too big. I requested to exchange for smaller size. My request was denied. I received an Email stating that I need to pay $51.28 for the cost of label. The amount will be deducted from the amount of my refund. I recommend to stay away from this site.

I had found bunk beds for my Grandsons at BB&B. Had it in the cart and saw a price $200 less at Overstock. I cancelled the order noting I had found them at a lower price. Next morning I get an email from Overstock, they were sorry but the item was out of stock and they were cancelling the order. I checked online and the beds are still available but now the cost is $300 more than BB&B. I thought there was some law about having to honor the printed price even if it was their error. This was my first purchase from them and I will never buy anything from them again. There should be a negative star rating.

Ordered a kitchen island through my Overstock account. We had ordered from them in years past but not very recently. Right after ordering, I tried to sign back into my overstock account and was not able to using the exact same sign in info but it would not work. This threw a red flag for me so I emailed immediately and asked them to cancel my order until I could get my sign in info taken care of. I got the usual automatic "we have received your email" reply. I sent another email to follow up the next day again stating not to send the item. Next email I received from them was it was shipped. I contacted them immediately asking them to intercept the item because shipped according to tracking just meant a label was printed.
I contacted UPS to that I was refusing the package and to return to sender from wherever it was on the route to my home. UPS said Overstock had to do that and Overstock said UPS had to do it. The item made it to my house. I did not see the package as I told my UPS driver I was refusing. Overstock received the item back within 2 days and held it for 7 days before issuing my refund. We will not do business with them again. There was virtually no customer service and I felt no one wanted to resolve the issue.

I ordered a dining room set and expected it to be delivered in a week. 9 days later I tried tracking it, but it wasn't in their system. After I called them, I was informed that it was canceled, but she don't know why since it is still available. She said that she would research it and email me the next day. 2 days later, after not receiving any further communication from them, I called them again. They still didn't know why it was canceled. I asked for it to be reinstated. She said that they can't do that. The items were on sale at a good price, and that is what I wanted. I also expected to be able to use it within the week after I purchased it. I emailed them that I still want it and it should be reinstated, but I have not heard back from them yet. After the dismal reviews, maybe I got lucky.

I ordered a pool vacuum from them. It has been 5 weeks and nothing. I have tried contacting them and all I get is china emails and them saying that it was delivered. It was not and they told me to check with post office and UPS and neighbors and they said nothing was in the system. The tracking number was not a valid number. I have been scam. I have tried contacting them several times and keep getting same answer that it was delivered. Bad business. I even checked the ring system on my ring and nothing. Look at all the bad reviews.

I have bought eight wool rugs from Overstock and have never had a problem until recently. I bought 5 rugs all the same except for color. I bought 1 purple which was lightweight, 2 black that were a medium weight, and 2 red heavier. Being they were to be all the same and the purple arriving first and dirty - I vacuumed it losing a lot of wool. It would not lie flat and was poorly made. I emailed informing I did not want any of them. They informed me it would cost $47 to ship back instead of $95 which is ridiculous. They informed me to wait until all 5 rugs arrived and then get shipping labels to mail back.
They - overseas reps with heavy accents and after spending over 30 minutes sent me 3 labels. Another 20 minutes to call back requesting more labels. They then sent me the same label for the red rugs and black rugs. UPS - after explaining what had happened and informed me that they would not pick up the same label - they then suggested I tape 2 rugs together of the same color and then return all 5 with 3 labels. Have e-mailed Overstock numerous times but I am still short of $80 which would have been part of the total refund I should have gotten back. Will never buy again from this company. Beware of them. Even wrote to to CEO and president of company in Utah but still have not gotten a total refund. They robbed me of $80.00

SCAM OPERATION!! I ordered Cal King sheets. Overstock shipped to me same item in a King size. They won't take it back. It will not fit my bed. I have escalated this matter, and they rely on their "system" won't let them refund. This is a scam, in my opinion. I have photos verifying what I ordered and what I received. This website will not let me upload any of my photos. After much intense phone conversation with the "supervisor" Lesego, he offered to refund $18 to me out of $92.04. That is insulting. I counter-offered to accept 75% refund because I did not take note of the wrong size before opening. I did not know I needed to supervise their shipping department.
Lesego "escalated" this to the "management team" (what is THAT?) who replied with: "absolutely no refund", this email sent to me by Customer Care Agent Tsholofelo M. This is a disgustingly low level of customer service. I have been told by Overstock employee that Overstock offloads their customer service department to a company called Beyond Customer Care. Way to go, Overstock!! There's too much competition out there for your pathetic customer care efforts. I wish I had read reviews across all websites before engaging with this pirate outfit. BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!!! The new "relaunched" Overstock is not the Overstock you remember! I ordered an eight-piece outdoor seating sectional. Three of the eight seats were damaged, two of them had wicker that was gouged. I requested a replacement and was informed that they do not have replacement options, even though the set was still available on their website. I was told that my only options were to return the entire set for a full refund or accept a $261 credit. The set cost $2700 (on sale). By simple math, the value of each piece would be approximately $340. The credit they were offering did not even cover the cost of one of the pieces much less three.
I was informed that a computer generates the amount of credit after they enter the information and put in the pictures of the damage. This is not the way Overstock used to operate. The old Overstock would most certainly have sent out replacement pieces or given a much more generous credit. Do not be fooled into thinking this is the same company that you associate with Overstock. This is a re-launched “new” company that is not providing the same level of customer service. I will never buy from them again.

Absolutely terrible! The reviews should have been my first red flag. Order three sets of California King sheets and it took over a month to get one set! Kept telling me my order is on back order. I received one set today that was supposed to be here last week according to their shipping updates. Then they notified me that one set was unavailable and would I like a refund on that set? Gonna take ten days for that. Do NOT use this company for anything! Bad business practices.

This company is a scam! Please do some research before placing an order with them. I made the mistake on relying on them and ordered a purchase of over $600.00. I never got a confirmation email. After calling several times, they sent me an email with an order number. Then, they sent me an email that the order was delivered at my house when it wasn’t. When inquiring about the order they say it was sent back to the warehouse cause the carrier didn’t have my contact information. They are a total scam. The worst I’ve had encounter in the internet.

I purchases a fan with light for a home I was building from Overstock/ Bed Bath and Beyond. When it was installed the light did not work. I reached out to the fan company, they said I needed to reach out to Bed Bath and Beyond. After several attempts, they said they would get back to me in 48 hours. A week later, I received an email pretty much saying it’s my problem since I had the fan for 30 days. Horrible customer service, send me a broken fan then doesn’t stand behind it. Will never purchase from the Overstock companies again. Do not recommend.

Never received my item. Contacting help is not worthwhile. They just tell you to contact the local post office though the shipping shows DHL. Not trustworthy. I ordered a pair of shoes so not a particularly pricey loss for me but don't expect any support or reliability if you decide to use them.

Items often arrive damaged. Then they want you to repack and lug large furniture to UPS. They think UPS will pick up packages if you write a random RMA number on the outside, which is false. Even for the price the quality is poor. Items do not look as pictured.

I bought Outdoor 16'x12'ft Pergola Pull-Down (Gray) and paid $3602.29 on May 30th - after calling Bed-Bath & Beyond (Overstock) so many times the customer services rep on first 3 calls stated Pergola will ship between June 16 and 26th. Then after June 20th they said they don't have pergola in stock and actually when they sold the pergola they did not have any Gray color Pergola in Stock that we purchased. I asked the rep why would they take orders if it was out of stock and keep the money for almost a month. The customer service rep promised me that she will ask the backend team/seller and get back to me - I never heard from anyone on the Pergola shipping date and cannot get any body to help. This is a SCAM that Bed-Bath& Beyond doing with the customers.

Now that they merged with Bed, Bath and Beyond - stay away! They switched the annual membership program to BB&B that included free returns so it is no longer valid with Overstock. Both companies tend to have the same products but different pricing/deals. Better off ordering from BB&B after buying the membership.

We bought a bureau from Overstock. It requires assemble, which is fine. Many pieces arrived broken. We were told to send it back if we wanted a refund. We bundled up the large, heavy box and sent it back. We'll see. A bad experience

This company is crooked. I paid my account in full and closed it in April. Had 0 balance. Found out they're still charge me 2 dollars in interest on a zero-balance account and also they're charging 2 dollar late fee on that. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on them.

Opaque warranty and return policies. On top of this their prices are higher than Wayfair's. Bought a rug, spilled some juice on it, tried to clean and the threads came out. Overstock just said that there was no warranty on that product as it was discounted, thus they would not accept a return. On top of this a horrible horrible employer. It literally is their motto to trick customers wherever they can.

I used to love Overstock. I just recently (4/24) ordered a shed from them. I had a 20% coupon. Instead of a shed I received a fireplace mantel. Not even close. LOL. I contacted the number on the website which is actually Bed, Bath and Beyond. After explaining the situation and getting transferred several times I was transferred again to Overstock customer service (apparently they do not have a direct phone number). I was told I had to return the mantel and re order the shed. They couldn’t initiate a replacement. In doing so I lost my 20% coupon. I was told since it was only valid on my first purchase. This was still the same item, I was just instructed to re order it. I was then told if I wanted the coupon I needed to wait for the mantel to be returned and restocked, then I could reach out to them again and they would give me a new code. I wanted the shed now when I ordered it. Not a month from now.
I reached out through social media (Facebook Messenger). The service rep was very apologetic and said if I ordered the shed again that I would get a partial credit for the 20%. So, with that said and done I was finally on my way. I get home from work and on my front porch is another fireplace mantel. I tried the return option online and every avenue directs you to call. So again I call Bed, Bath and Beyond. I am transferring Ed many times and 45 minutes later I am finally given the code I need to return the new mantel. So, lessons learned. I purchased the shed elsewhere. I used to love the old Overstock. I don’t recommend and won’t be order from the new overstock again. The "BEAUTY" branch of Overstock.com sold me extremely out-of-date (expired) hair coloring product! Unlike furniture, apparel or jewelry, which when "old" may qualify as vintage or antique, beauty products are subject to expiration dates, which MATTER greatly!. When I purchased the product in question, I did so in good faith but had a bad experience (not the first time), yet with a hair product that in past years had always performed beautifully. This was prior to ordering online and/or from Overstock Beauty. Wondering why nothing was working as expected, I finally and with help from Google, educated myself and learned how to decode the stamp of manufacturing date, where it is located etc. and that different companies code differently. How to decode and explanation of longevity or the average lifespan of any product before it stops to perform.
My product's code shows it as being 5 yrs 8 months old when it stopped working at 3 years, almost twice the expiration date. Overstock Beauty sells from an "overstock supply" and seems to not care when they sell expired products to their customers, worthless when they arrive... SO I am saying: "BUYERS of beauty products, BEWARE, DO NOT waste your money!!!!"

I order a TV stand for $900 and it arrived damaged. I immediately called for a refund and 8 days later it is still sitting in my foyer with no refund. And I get to wait on hold for a half an hour every time I call to try and get my money back. Each time they say someone will call you in one to two days but they never do.

We receive a product from their Bed Bath and Beyond site and after it getting lost and 2 weeks later a new one it showed up. We bring it inside and the box is destroyed. We open it up and everything inside is a mess and after pulling out a few parts we find broken parts. This was our second one we ordered and the first one came perfect, undamaged and on time

Be very wary of this company. The return policy requires you pay to return the item, but then they don't credit your account. When I call, email, and text proof with tracking they act like they didn't get. What nightmare, that you then call Nigeria, no supervisors will get on the phone to help resolve any issues. It's just not worth it, deal with a reputable company.

First of all, they keep deleting my review. Somehow, one of my three boxes ended up at Amazon. Neither Overstock nor UPS will assist in getting my parts. When asked about getting parts for the gazebo, the item is currently out of stock. The return process is worse; the poor UPS guy showed up three times with the wrong label. STAY AWAY, it's a Trap!!!!

The way this company does business should be illegal. First, their return policy is OBSURD. Second, my most recent order was for an item placed by mistake. I immediately reached out the same day and was told it could not be cancelled and that it could take up to 4 weeks for the item to ship. (This was not mentioned anywhere in the listing) and that I could not get a refund until it arrived and I sent it back.
Oddly, the item ended up arriving sooner and to my surprise it came from Amazon! 1. This should have been able to be cancelled the same day as amazon has an amazing return policy. 2. The item price on amazon was over 50% less than what BBB/Overstock charged me!!!! This is the shadiest most unethical business practice I have ever seen. This company should not be permitted to operate in this manner. So now, after my 5th call, I am attempting to get a return label but was told their system does not show that I received the item so they are unable to provide me with a return label and process the return. I now have to wait until their system recognizes I received it before I can even initiate a return!!!

I purchased a blanket from Overstock.com on Jan of 23. I did not open it until yesterday since I bought pink for a new comforter set I was looking at. When I opened the supposed new package...it had a dryer sheet tucked in behind the label on the zippered package and no cardboard in the blanket to keep its shape. I took it out it was snagged so obviously a return. I called overstock.com yesterday and got off shore people and called again today and same thing and they all hung up on me. They asked for information I did not have and told them to look up my orders. That's when they hung up on me.
This blanket I have in white and it states it is by Grand Hotel but they sent me the wrong one and one that was used... I will never buy from them again. I liked overstock the way it was, not now. Buy from Amazon and make Jeff Bezos even richer...he has better customer service. Overstock or BBB did nothing to replace this blanket, hello how many of you buy what you bought before to hold on to for future use? I sure do.

Customer service is non-existent and the reason for the fairly low prices is due to the low quality of the products. In June, I purchased an 8-piece outdoor furniture set. The swivel chairs have a round painted metal base. After only 3 months, rust spots began to appear in multiple locations on both chairs and created rust rings on my deck surface. I reached out to customer service using the chat feature. After explaining the situation, they promptly stated that it's past the 30 return policy and abruptly ended the chat typing, "have a good one" before essentially hanging up on me.
I didn't even request to return the items. The second agent requested pictures which I sent. However, that agent ended the chat abruptly too. The third agent ghosted me after picking up the chat and giving their name. I then emailed them and the reply was the same thing, that it's past the 30-day return policy but they signed the e-mail as if it was from the product manufacturer and not Overstock. This site is shady at best. It was my first and last time using this site.

I bought two "rugs" for 180.00. They were supposed to be machine washable "rugs". They are not. They are poor quality mats that absolutely do not go in the washing machine. They have a fake looking printed image on them that is extremely poor quality. They also just stretched the image out instead of printing the pattern on different size rugs so the image is distorted. One rug is supposed to be leaves and lemons but the lemons are the size of large footballs. These rugs are not what is advertised and they will not take them back. I am horrified at the customer service and even PayPal could not get them to cooperate. I've bought large items from them before. Furniture, rugs, patio items etc but I will never trust them again.

I received a chandelier that I ordered on Overstock. It was in a box that was not damaged, BUT the light inside had obviously fallen down from a high ceiling! It was in SEVERAL pieces. It was broken in 5 areas. It was completely smashed. It was obviously thrown back in the box and returned. When I got it I knew right away from all of the damages that it was obviously not checked out by Overstock. It was so badly damaged. I will never ever order from Overstock again. I bought the exact chandelier on Amazon for $10 less. Very, very disappointed. Terrible experience returning it too.

As of now I never got my counter stools even though it said one was delivered. Contacted them and supposedly they are on the way but they can’t seem to Get my account straight. When I log in it shows I have no orders on file. Very very disappointed, Overstock used to be great to do business with. I just hope I get my counter stools especially since they have been paid for.

I ordered a mirror from Bed Bath and Beyond/Overstock on 8/2/23. I was supposed to receive my product on 8/8/23. I called that day and was told shipping was delayed and that I should receive it that week. If I didn’t then I should call back. It is now 8/16/23 and I called again to be told that I should receive it on the 19th of this month. I called again and am being told by a different person that I can cancel my order or wait 30 days. I asked to speak with a supervisor and am getting the run around. I was never able to speak to anyone else. I believe this website is a scam and you will not ever receive anything you order. I can’t believe either one of these companies let it come to this.

I received a table set damaged and the wrong colors chairs. I settled for a store credit cause it took so long for me receive my package. When it came the quality of the set was horrible. The wrong color chairs. I decided to send it back. The representative told me after UPS received my return I would receive a refund in 24-48 hours. The mattress is NOT plush but VERY firm. I can’t return it or get a refund because I opened it. Please tell me the heck am I supposed to know your mattress sucks if I don’t open it ?! This is the most difficult company to deal with. Their return policy is ridiculous. I ordered a patio set and was going to return but if not a O club member had to pay $173 in shipping charges. As a O club member I could return for no shipping charge but they would not refund my credit card but instead would have to take Overstock credit. Also placed a price match on a product I bought that I saw lower on Amazon and they denied because it was a prime member price. I shouldn’t be penalized for being a prime member just like I wouldn’t expect to be as a Club O member. Also had a defective product to return outside their 30-day window and they wouldn’t accept. Go with companies like Amazon and Walmart who value their customers. I will never order anything from Overstock again.

At the end of my purchase, a box came up about joining Club O, and I clicked the "OK" button. Later I received an email welcoming me to Club O, advising me that there was a $19.95 charge on my credit card for membership. There is no notice of this cost in the little check box when you are finalizing your order. If a company is charging for something, you must be advised. I purchased a privacy fence to cover my pool equipment on 5-4-23. When I received it I found it to be flimsy poor quality and therefore it would not fit my needs. I began the return process to discover that they do not cover shipping on returns for “poor quality “. They did not even offer me a return label to ship through them at my cost. I went to try to ship it on my own and the cost would be $126 on a $127 item!! Beware that if you buy something from Overstock they are NOT return friendly. I ordered a patio set. 1200 dollars later it starts peeling on top. 1 year warranty. I call. They give me a phone number for manufacturer that is not in service. Call again, give me a website of a different manufacturer that doesn't even work with overstock. Call again. Insist I wait 2 days (it was 4) for an email on what to do. The email had the first manufacturer phone number that I called all time of the day and night and never ever rang. Buzzy signal only. Now I call and I get hung up on. I ordered a rug from Overstock on May 5th and was not impressed with the quality of it. I started a return and shipped the rug back using the label Overstock provided. My refund was $2.16 when it finally came. I was charged $47.00 for return shipping!! The rug's original cost was $53. Return and refund policy is not clearly stated on the website. Furthermore, the cost of shipping was never explained or detailed in the return e-mail I was sent nor on the shipping label provided. I am dismayed at the opaque return policy that seems aimed at gouging customers unknowingly. I wouldn't have even realized this is what passed if I hadn't checked my bank account and contacted customer service. The service rep informed me I was taken advantage of in this way and that there was nothing to be done.

I ordered a beautiful blue, round storage ottoman. $250. Immediately after purchase I saw had my previous address, as I just moved. The staff told me numerous times it was taken care of. So thought I'd check on when to expect it, the night before and saw it was STILL going to wrong address. Told Overstock if you ship it to old address it would be stolen..as they know apt is empty. After speaking with UPS they said overstock had them locked from changing the delivery address, 11 mile difference. So I called overstock and was told the shipment was stopped and that a replacement would go out IMMEDIATELY. I called to get new tracking number only to be told I wouldn't get this IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT for 1 week! Truly unbelievable! I told them to just cancel and refund me. Then told it was lost by "the partner shipping service (UPS)." Today, after a 20-minute customer service call I was told in person it was lost, but a replacement would be sent immediately. Now minutes later I am being told, by EMAIL, that is out of stock and you will offer a refund (which I still have to call back to accept). I purchased two Delta faucets. I received 5% of the purchase price as a reward. The Club O promotion, was that I receive 5% of the purchase price if the purchase was over $400. One of the faucets was damaged. I exchanged the damaged faucet for a new one. When I did the exchange, Club O rewards removed the entire amount of the rewards because the system classified it as a return, and not an exchange.
I called customer service, and the representative said it would be corrected within 24 hours and if not call back and a manual adjustment would be made. The adjustment wasn’t made, and when I called back the representative refused to make a manual adjustment. They said it was a return even though it really was an exchange because the item was damaged. What a sham!

I had never used Overstock before, but I decided to give them a try because they had the best price on the item I needed. What a mistake! I placed the order on Saturday and it was supposed to deliver Tuesday. By Tuesday, their system read that it was still "in process" at the warehouse and delivery was now Wednesday. By Wednesday, it just read "delayed" and there was no other info. I looked for an email address for customer service, they don't have one. I did not have the ability to sit on hold on the phone, so I opted for text.
Nothing but frustration ensued, multiple questions asking me to provide the same information repeatedly and ultimately the agent could tell me nothing more than what I could already see for myself online. And when I tried to ask more questions, I was just dismissed and told to "have a nice day." I proceeded to try the chat function, nothing different. I was told that the issue would be escalated to someone else and they would contact me in another 1-2 business days. How is that any help when my order is already late(?) It's now Thursday and there is a tracking number in the system but clearly, the package (that was supposed to DELIVER two days ago) has not even been picked up from the warehouse. No one has contacted me and I'm confident they won't.
I called to cancel the order and was told that their warehouse won't cancel it because they had generated a tracking number. So even though it has not left their warehouse, I have to wait for it to be picked up, transported across the country, and delivered--and then return it. REALLY?? They sent me a return label to cover the cost, but I will still have to waste my time and fuel dropping it off at UPS--and that is assuming the item actually shows up at all. Who knows how long my refund will take, I don't even want to guess. I have no idea how Overstock stays in business. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ORDERING FROM THEM.

I was really excited about the design of the doormat I ordered. They shipped a different mat. I called Customer Service and was given instructions for returning it. I purchased a set of curtains and a curtain rod from Overstock. Unfortunately after ordering, I was at Walmart and saw the same drapes a lot cheaper than Overstock's price and found the curtain rod cheaper too. Shame on me. I received the package with the curtains at USPS and was told there would be an extra $17 "wrong address fee" to get the package. I returned the package to sender refusing to pay the $17. Overstock informed me that I would be charged full price without getting the curtains. Apparently Overstock put just my physical address at my house and not my PO Box then I have to receive my mail from the Post Office who refuses to deliver mail at my house due to no turn around on my street.
You do not know how your package is to be sent and putting a PO Box in address blank is not acceptable for Fedex and UPS since they need a physical address. I also was to be a member of "Club O" for free with my military veteran's discount, but after being accepted, I was told I never applied. You are given all kinds of "discounts" from Overstock, but still end up paying much more for their merchandise. I have never had a problem with any other packages being delivered from any other retailer, and I buy often online. Highly recommend staying away from these guys.

Bought a carpet that had a certain color presentation in their photo. Arrived today and it is lacking of so much color that it is defective. Customer service rep said I can only get an in store credit. I did buy their annual membership $19.99. First told I will have to pay for the return. Stated my membership includes free returns. She backed off and said I was correct. I mentioned again the defective color, that I want full refund to my bank charge card. She helped up with the argument that I can only get in store credit. They said they have a 30 day return policy, but when I returned one of these rugs due to the size and reordered another one with the appropriate size. I have bought a fair number of items on Overstock. This was the last one. I bought a larger item and it is not at all as pictured. Not at all. I filed a complaint and showed the photos and they said it is the same. It is not. Anyone who isn't blind can see that. Not even the colors are right but I could have lived with that! So I decide to return it, then they want ME to pay to return it??? Seriously? Send out something that doesn't look like the photos and then charge ME to return it? I filed a chargeback and I encourage anyone who gets their poor customer service to do the same. They have to stop scamming us. I wanted them to take down the product so no one else would experience the same thing I did but nope. So now they know and they still sell it.

I bought furniture from them - wasn't wonderful but for the price it was exactly what I needed - received 0 interest for 6 months - the week before it ended I called to see if they received a check I sent, 3 weeks earlier, and, of course, they hadn't, so I paid it online to avoid the interest. Which was discussed between the customer service rep and I. Shockingly, 3 weeks later the missing check was found AND DEPOSITED, against a $0 balance account. They decided it's my fault, it's been quite a few weeks of back and forth and all they tell me is to provide a letter from MY bank stating why it was returned or pay the $29 - I guess they get their interest somehow....very frustrating and I will not pay it.

I will update my horrible review depending on the response received from either the manufacturer or Overstock. I placed an order for this sofa in September, but it was delivered in November. They say that both companies only provide a thirty day warranty and I missed the deadline. I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves. Item arrived with some damages but we were still able to put the couch together, a month later the entire thing started falling apart. Pieces will not stay connected, a foot rest will not go back down, one of the backs won't stay up. This couch is a hot mess. Lol.
I called Overstock who won't do anything yet and say I have to take it up with the manufacturer. I contact the manufacturer and they gave me a customer service email saying they had no number to call.... So yeah let's wait and see if they will help make this right with me or if I am just freaking screwed out of two grand for a hunk of junk.

I bought an apothecary cabinet on Overstock.com Feb 2023. When it came it was poorly packaged, a handle had come off and there were no screws from the handle in the package, and worst of all the drawers were dirty and moldy. Because of the poor packaging Overstock send the item in there are dents and scratches. All I want to do is leave an honest review on the website. They keep turning my review down no matter how I rewrite it. Poor business practice and the customer won't know what others have received when they buy it. Buyer beware because obviously you can't trust the reviews since they can refuse the ones that make them look bad.

I purchased a 3,000 fridge. After 9 months they sent me a banged-up fridge that had dents and scratches in it. And the water filter did not work. They avoided all my calls and just had me send countless emails about the warranty. I now have a 3000 banged-up fridge that leaks water and no one would help or replace it. Stay away.

On January 20, 2023, I order the Honolulu Outdoor 4-pc cushioned wicker set in grey. The Overstock website shows the set with teal cushions. The video for the grey set says "Teal" cushions. My husband assembled the set when it arrived and it had grey cushions. I contacted customer support twice, and one month later, their unacceptable response was: --- "Customer purchased set with grey cushions, set with teal cushions is not available". If you would like to return the item, there will be a label cost of $159.48 that will be deducted to from the full refund amount."-- Unbelievable! I order the set advertised on their website (and it's still there in TEAL), they send me the wrong cushions, and after one month, they tell me it's not available and I have to pay $159.48 if I want to return it. I have ordered from them in the past but NEVER will again.

The OverStock site states Free Returns. Then you try to make a return you'll learn that you should have read the small print. You have to purchase a membership in which case you can then "exchange" up to Three items. If you don't buy a membership, they charge you 33% of yr purchases price (in my case). I paid $180. plus change and tax and to obtain two return labels from them they were going to charge me $63.00 and change. I opted to keep the items (donate them) rather than allow their shady practices. If they were upfront, I'd gladly have joined.

This bed completely broke when we went to move it 3 feet away to put in a new floor, after 9 months of extremely light use, and meticulously careful moving. Contacted the manufacturer after Overstock said there was nothing they could do. Manufacturer said there were very specific instructions for moving, but those were not documented anywhere in the instruction manual. After spending over $1000 on a wall bed, I am left with nothing after 9 months because no one wrote down how to move it?? Unacceptable. Stand behind your products. Do better.

I purchased the 8 pc modular L-shape sectional, with a Guardsman warranty, and was extremely pleased with its looks. Then, I used the side arms to push myself up and the wood on the arms started cracking. I didn't realize I needed to call Guardsman within 5 days of the event to file a claim. I filed the claim and they denied it. So I filed another claim and they said I needed to send in the receipt to prove my claim. I called Overstock to ask them to do something to help get this fixed. They said I could call the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and they laughed and said they can't believe Overstock referred me to them. The manufacturer gives Overstock 30 days to return defective items.
So, the short of the story is no one wanted to be responsible for my $3000 couch that I received broken. I was fed up, canceled my credit card with them and will find someone to fix my couch. Never again will I order from them, even though other items bought were good products and experiences. Moral of the story: Don't buy the warranty, they will find every reason to not make good on the warranty...nor will Overstock. Hey Overstock, hold your third party responsible for your recommendations of them to your customers.

First of all I would not recommend purchasing from here. I bought 2 small pieces of furniture and 1 of them was complete garbage! But my main issue is with the billing department! My payments were set on autopay and I was not only still charged a late fee but they were taking DOUBLE payments! So would you believe all in one day I made 2 payments and was charged a late fee?? I call customer service, at this point I’m not even concerned with the double payment. My issue is I’ve now been charged 2 late fees, $60, on top of the double payments! So I call with my issue and the rep starts by telling me he can refund $15, and like he’s doing me a favor. So then he proceeds with he can do $30 but that’s all the system will allow.
So now this person thinks I’m an idiot, wasn’t until I threatened a lawyer that he finally said he would refund the full amount! So I waited for the credits and now I’ve taken my auto pay off and my balance is about the refund amount, my balance ended up being less than a dollar and my mistake, I paid it the next day but of course, that didn’t matter. I was charged a late fee! Mind you my balance would have been paid off if they weren’t trying to overbill me in the first place!! STAY AWAY!!

Then I got double messages that both rugs would be late, which wasn't helpful since I ordered the rug for a specific event, which was a day before the updated, late delivery of the rug. Really bad customer service.

I bought a dining table from them in September 2022. It was damaged but instead of returning it I took a $155 credit. I paid for this table in September. In December they charge me again for the table. My credit card took it off my bill, January 16 they charge me again although this was completely paid for in September. I cannot get Them to remove this charge of $963. I now have filed with the court. This is the worst company I have ever ever dealt with.

I'm not even a customer of Overstock, but I've been received 4 text messages in the past week saying I've ordered something and it's out for delivery. I politely told them the first time that I'm not a customer of theirs and you need to direct it to the proper person. Overstock apologized and I thought that would be the end of it. Not quite! I received back to back text messages over the course of the week saying I ordered rugs and floor mats. The customer service got even worse after that. They said it would be taken care of but as of today I received yet another text from them. I blocked them and now I'm writing a review based off their terrible customer service. Judging from all these other reviews, it looks like I dodged a bullet. I will not be using Overstock in the future!

I ordered a green rug 10/29/22. A rug arrived 11/3/22. I did not open it right away as I was waiting for my new puppy to stop peeing. I just opened it 1/15/22 and they sent a dark brown rug. I called and was told the return period had expired but if I "joined" their company for $20 they'd do a return. I "joined" and called 1/19/22 and was told that even though I got that membership the most they could do was credit me $10 for a $150 purchase. THEY SENT ME THE WRONG ITEM. I was hold on for 50 minutes to speak to a supervisor whose name was not available and for 40 minutes there were 5 callers ahead of me. They sent me the wrong item. A $150 purchase. This is fraud.

We were told because he used his phone and went through his email we can't get our points. It was about 1200.00. We buy from them always this was terrible. My entire house is full of their things. 11/9/2022 we had furniture purchased from Overstock.com and delivered by Overstock.com for $5,041.44. The furniture, leather sleeper sofa, (2) large leather arm chairs and (2) leather ottomans, and Overstock.com's delivery team simply slid all the furniture across my hardwood floors across the house to the living room. The Furniture and my floors were destroyed. This was on 11/9/2022 and as of today 12/18/2022 I still have the torn and damaged furniture in my home. Remove and dispose of the old damaged furniture because they don't want it back!! WHAT IS THAT! I sent CEVA Logistics and Overstock the estimate to repair my my floors. CEVA stated they're not paying for the repairs and Overstock.com stated I have to continue chasing CEVA Logistics for the cost to repair my floors which they damaged and it was caught on video. Just ridiculous.

I spent a good deal of time proving their listing and website error on a shelf only for them to attempt to gaslight me as if it were my fault for the wrong item being sent. They were not apologetic. They did not address the screenshot proof I had. And they made no effort to make things right. Specifically a color on the website for a shelf displays a totally different color than what I received. Their website has an error where it shows a picture of the wrong color. The text of the listing even indicates the wrong color. And apparently I'm supposed to know this error and anticipate their incompetence?
Despite their wrong descriptions, wrong advertising, and supposed great customer service they wanted me to pay return shipping for their error! The only customer service options they had was some bizarre texting exchange using your SMS. Good luck actually speaking to anyone. They do not care about your experience. They do not care about the products or their website being accurate. They act as if they're doing you a favor which is insulting. Buyer beware. If you do business use your credit card in case you need to charge back.

I ordered 4 expensive tactical flashlights on 11/22 as Christmas presents. On 12/7 I had received no update on my order and when I went into my account and checked the status it was simply pending. It had not been processed or shipped. I called the customer service line and the rep told me that my only option was to cancel my order as it appeared that it was not in process. She said "I've canceled your order. Is there anything else I can do for you today?" No. I thanked her and hung up.
FOUR days later, I get an email from overstock telling me "we couldn't cancel your order because it was processing in our warehouse..." or something like that. Well, great! I have already ordered 4 more tactical flashlights from another vendor and they ARE en route. When I check my account again on Overstock, it doesn't say that the item is shipped. It is still pending at the warehouse. So now I'm getting 8 tactical flashlights, although I doubt I will get the 4 from overstock before Christmas. Now I have the hassle of returning the 4 to overstock and I only have "3 free returns" per month. Just great. So I will never, ever order anything from overstock.com again and I recommend that you think hard about using them. I will call overstock again today and see if they can cancel my order but I doubt it. It is very frustrating and unnecessary in my view.

I ordered 4 chairs and the quality did not meet our expectations. I returned them and was charged more than 20% of their value for the return labels. Their website states that purchases made during the holiday season can be returned with full refund. I spent an hour with the representative pleading my case to no avail. Extremely disappointed in their service. Beware when ordering here.

I ordered a gazebo for $3700. Part of the offer was a $100 gift card to be emailed within 24 hours. I didn't receive it after 1 week, so I chatted with customer service. They said I would get it within 2 days, I didn't. I then called after apologies they said within 1 day, again no. So I tried calling again same story, no gift card. I am left to assume that they are thieves. Side note 2 weeks have gone by and order has not shipped yet.

I’m incredibly disappointed. I ordered a lift-you-up chair for my mom at 8pm on Halloween & was informed the delivery would be in 9 days. Sadly my mom was rushed to the hospital that night. The next morning, before I even saw my mother at the hospital I canceled the chair explaining the crisis situation, after hearing from the doctor that my mom would not be returning home from this hospital stay. Overstock acknowledged my cancellation request that morning & asked that I not make multiple communication to cancel, they would let me know how far along the process was. By 9pm that evening, they sent me an email saying they are shipping out the chair early & it will arrive at my mom’s house in 4 days.
Mind you, no one lives there anymore. My mom is in the hospital & they put a rush delivery on a $700+ chair, which obviously added to my stress (and I live hours away from my mom). It was horrible to know that in the 10 hours after acknowledging my cancellation, they couldn’t communicate to their own warehouse. I suspect they did communicate & it was to rush it out to avoid losing the sale. I called them, clarifying the many dilemmas I was dealing due to their lack of communication & they basically said “too bad for you.” They could only refund me my money if I shipped it back. It would cost hundreds of dollars to ship it back, but if I bought their ‘special program’ they would ship back for me.
The special program was cheaper than shipping, so there I was, being forced into paying for more things just to fix the lack of communication they have. And only after I paid for that did they tell me that they would not refund me! They were happily going to keep my money & I could have in store credit! Oh, and I needed to find a way to bring the massively big chair to a UPS store (I have a tiny car) in order for the shipping label to work.
There was absolutely no kindness from the acct manager Thea, she was cold & rude. I had to remind her that if she was refusing to refund my money that I was entitled to the special program they made me pay for at the start of the communication - according to their policy it is free, when you spend over $400. The customer service rep before her was at least kind. He tried to help but didn’t have clarity on information, he’s the one who told me I would be refunded if I bought this special program. All in all, I expect to sue for my refund. This company truly needs to reconsider their customer service. Whatever you are buying on Overstock, choose a different seller. The more money you spend here, the bigger the risk!

Order Date: 11/09/2022. Order Total: $446.30. Eccotemp i12 indoor 4.0 GPM Liquid Propane Tankless Water Heater. This water heater was listed around $360.00 with various shipping methods. I needed this heater by this weekend. I decided to order from Overstock simply because they had an option to get this heater, delivered to me, on 11/11. Amazon's price for this same heater was $309.70 with free delivery by 11/14. I ordered from Overstock and paid an extra $73.00 for expedited shipping (arrival on 11/11). This morning I received an update stating the that the heater would now be delivered by 11/14. Naturally, I was unhappy and reached out to Overstock to refund the shipping amount due to the update and due to the fact that other merchants were offering free shipping by 11/14. The declined by request and told me that the item would still be shipped within the 2 to 3 business day window.
They explained that the 2 to 3 business day window would be as such 11/10, 11/14 & 11/15, and that since 11/11 is a holiday it is not considered a business day. When I ordered (early morning on 11/9) I was led to believe that this item would make it to me on 11/11, because the Overstock website estimated that the item would arrive on that date. Overstock has declined to refund shipping on this item. Overstock has also decline to reduce the shipping cost this a lessor amount.
I felt as if there was plenty of time to get this product to UPS in time on 11/9 to get it overnighted to me for delivery on 11/11. If 11/11 was an issue due to it being a holiday, then Overstock shouldn't have listed 11/11 as the delivery date and placed such a high price on the shipping to suggest to a consumer that they would be able to deliver by then. Shop elsewhere. There are plenty of other sites that will treat you, as a shopper, better.

As a frequent on-line shopper, I assumed that Overstock would be similar to an Amazon or similar website. My advice is "READ THE FINE PRINT". You can make returns to Overstock, however I made a purchase of a tablecloth for $29.99 and had to return as it did not fit but received a credit for $2.41 after Overstock deducted shipping etc charges. BAD NEWS! Unfair business practices and only when I called to complain did they refund only half my purchase price. Overstock is over-rated and I will never buy from them again.

I'd done their lame "rewards" program for a few years. It's a $20 annual program that gives you credits toward future purchases. Their prices for their drop shipped stuff is already inflated, so I often found it hard to buy anything that was a good value, but I did get a mattress, and was able to get about $40 of credits from that purchase.
An item I wanted to get was always out of stock, so I decided to wait to use those credits. Turns out the credits are for the duration of the membership, NOT the time you bought the item to use them even when you bought them within the membership. So I would have to pay another $20 to access the $40 in credits I'd already earned months ago. What a scam! It's paying to access something you have already purchased. Overstock already inflates their prices past retail. There is really no need to shop with them anymore.

After so many researches to buy a sectional I decide one from Overstock, beautiful model, the perfect color matching with rest of the new furniture for a new house: white. The house was still under construction when I received the delivery so I couldn't open the big package to avoid it damage. Two months later I opened the package and for my surprise the sectional was Beige and not white. I call them to clarify their mistake, I had requested and paid for a white one but they refused the claim. In spite of that I did not request my money back. I just wanted they change the piece to white.

I recently purchased two end tables from Overstock that were pictured as white marble with walnut legs. There wasn't a choice of colors listed, but if you looked carefully, there was a small box that said "white wash". Because ALL the pictures (even the one that said white wash) were shown with the walnut legs, I assumed that was what I was getting. When I received the tables with very, very unattractive (think the ugly part of the 70's) white washed legs, I attempted to return them.
The only way they would accept the return is for me to pay $130 in shipping. These tables were $140 each (so shipping would equate to me buying one of them) and very small. They were making more $ on me to charge that much in shipping (I went independently and it was $55) but to sell with such deceptive pictures and then not accept returns where they pay for it I think is very unfair business practices. Be careful--don't use the pictures--look carefully. This is how they get rid of their "overstock" no one else wants.

All I wanted was a payoff letter. After 4 days and 6 calls still don't have it. Every time I called I was told it would be sent to my email within 2 to 4 hours. I spoke to a supervisor and he told me I had to put it in writing and send it to them and then they would fax it to me, I was not happy about that and asked to speak to his supervisor and then I got hung up on, mind you this was after being on the phone with them for 1 hour. I called back again and got a new supervisor and he explained to me that everything I had already been told was not true, I could only get a payoff letter sent in the mail (in 7 days). Seems they cannot email it to me or even fax it because they do not have the ability. Billion dollar Overstock does not have the ability to fax or email a letter. Let that sink in!

I am completely at a loss as to why it is so difficult to process a return. My very first attempt to return this item was 20 August 2022, the day the damaged range hood arrived. It is now 7 September 2022, and I have yet to have this issue resolved after repeated attempts on my part to do so. After being an Overstock customer since at least 2011, this will be the last item I purchase from Overstock. And at this point, I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau, the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office Consumer Protection Unit, the California Attorney General’s Office, and proceeding with a formal complaint through my attorney. I have contacted Overstock over four times now to get this range hood picked up from my house, returned, and money refunded.
As I mentioned when I contacted Overstock customer support the previous three times regarding receiving this damaged range hood: The box arrived with holes, tears, dents, etc. The range hood is dented on both the left and right sides. I offered to provide images each time. We have since purchased the exact same range hood from a local Lowe’s store, and upon unboxing that range hood, we recognized that I had, in fact, been shipped a previously returned range hood from Overstock. We know this as when we unboxed the range hood from Lowe’s, we saw all the extra packing material protecting the hood that did not exist in the box shipped from Overstock. So not only was I shipped a previously returned hood from Overstock, it was not packaged properly and arrived damaged. I have no idea at this point if it was already damaged before being shipped to me, if it was damaged during shipment to me, or both. But this is entirely unacceptable.
I have provided the photos, as requested, screenshots from my initial attempt at requesting a return, and chat sessions from my previous chats. I also have photos showing how the range hood from Lowe’s was packaged as compared to how the range hood from Overstock was packaged. Absolutely, some of the worst customer service I have received from a company.

I received an email 3 days ago saying to expect my delivery yesterday and therefore made arrangements to be available. Now not only is it not here. It’s not even in the correct country, says delivered, and very clearly, even if it is still on its way, isn’t anywhere close to me. This is completely unacceptable, why bother me saying it’s going to be here when it’s not even close? I’m not impressed and have no clarification as to what is going on as it says delivered and even offers proof of delivery. I’m absolutely canceling this order or refusing delivery if it does one day arrive. I declined an important activity to be home for this and it was a complete waste of my time. Purchased an outdoor rug from Overstock - in less than 3 months it began to unravel and shred! Obviously defective... I called their customer service and was told after a month, there's nothing they can do. Really... Mind you this product never made it through a full season or put another way, less than 1/4 of the year. I will never purchase from this company again. Always one to have nice items for a long time due to diligent maintenance and care, I prefer to purchase from a company who will stand behind their products even if the manufacturer doesn't!!

I had the worst experience from the Overstock.ca site. The customer service is horrible, they all say the same thing in robotic tone. I ordered the "nuLOOM Bohemian Textured High-Low Tassel Shag Area Rug", they cancelled my order without permission. I called them and they said they needed to "Identify me" which does not make sense because they already charged my credit card and let the transaction go through. Then, they said they will refund me but proceeded to ask if I would like to put on same order again since I wanted the rug. I agreed which was my mistake.
The refund never went through, they blamed that my credit card company refused but my credit card company didn't have anything to do with that and even gave a transaction authorizing code but Overstock still said they can't do anything about it and that I have to just dispute with my bank. I received the second order of my rug, it was delivered and I'm satisfied with it but I did lose the entire money for the first order. I don't recommend this company to anyone, it was my first time doing business with them. I saw a lot of reviews of people who also got scammed as well.

BE VERY AWARE that if you provide your credit card information to an Overstock.com representative that you are taking a very large risk. A rep named "Bon" took my credit card information to help make a purchase that wasn't working with the online ordering, said he would call me back in 15-20 minutes but did not. Within a few minutes of hanging up with him, my credit card company notified me that an unusual charge was made on my card of which I confirmed it was unauthorized so the card was shut down. Never heard back from "Bon" and my order was never placed as he said he would. Now in trying to help Overstock.com with their representative issue and fraudulent charge made, it seems that no one cares. It's been 3 weeks since I notified the company's Loss Prevention Department and upon following up with them, there has been no action taken or investigation underway. I'm now having to escalate the situation...

I ordered the Hi Riser Twin Bed With Pop Up Trundle. Upon opening the packaging, the bed frame was rusted in various different areas. The packaging was heavy duty cardboard and had to be cut apart to access the item. The packaging was also damaged. The bed frame is is very heavy. There was no way I could return the frame in the packaging it was sent in. Overstock wanted me to purchase packaging and ship it back to them. I can't lift it. I decided to keep it. I figure I'll just repaint it. I have attempted to leave reviews with pictures so other customers can be forewarned. Overstock denied my pictures of the bed frame and my reviews. Each time I submit my honest review, they deny it.

Ordered two accent chairs last January and got them a month later, assembled them and a few month later the wooden armchair broke in two pieces, called Overstock and they did not want to hear from me and not even repair it. Ordered an item on May 24th (stated 2-4 week delivery,) received an email finally on June 30 that the order was shipped from there only overstock knows. Customer Service was not helpful and when asked to speak to a supervisor I was told they couldn't call one. Never again and I will advise everyone else to go to Wayfair. Overstock is way OVERRATED.

Bought a silk arrangement online. Very disappointed that it was not the bright color illustrated in the pictures. Immediately I tried to return it but I had to set up an account which I finally did through Google. After calling the Customer No Care 3 times and being promised I would get a call back which I never did. I continued to text, etc. to find a return address for the arrangement. I finally found out that the only way they wanted me to return it was with their UPS prepaid label for $24.99. Outraged as the item was only $55. I finally went to their chat line and put in my request with my order # to find out that the only way I would maybe get a response is to pay for it. Incredible. I got the address off the their label and made our own for $15 less. Another lesson learned in dealing with these online companies.

UPS says contact Overstock, Overstock says contact UPS. It has been over a month and I still do not have my items. Overstock sent wallpaper out that I wanted to return due to it not being peel stick. My order was $76.47 plus taxes. I requested return and it would cost me $68.00, plus an open charge. I didn’t realize it wasn’t peel and stick until I opened the first roll and looked at the corner. They give an option of sending it back yourself, but refuse to provide an address or any other information on how to proceed without paying their ridiculous return fee. If you might have to return an item hang on to your wallet, even sending something back to China doesn’t cost you the full amount of your order. SCAM, should just say no refunds given.

I ordered a table, the ordering process was great, and the item arrived in 3 days, which was wonderful. When I opened the box, I realized the table was completely broken and unusable. I went to the website and hit the return button, went through the process, and when I finished, I got a message to wait 24 hours. 24 hours goes by, I go back to the website, look under returns, and nothing. So I go through the entire process again. 23 hours later, I finally receive a message asking for more details. I happily and immediately submit the extra details. 24 hours later, no response again. So now I am calling the customer service number. The automation says it cannot find my phone number, please enter the order number. I enter the order number, this also cannot be found. I go through a lot more automation asking me to enter a different phone number and/or order number. What can I do since I called from the phone number associated with my account and already entered the correct order number? So I wait.
Finally, the automation tells me I will be sent to a representative, and the wait time is less than 3 minutes. SCORE! But then, at 2 minutes, it hangs up on me. I call back, go through the entire process again, and again, disconnected. So I call a third time, and opt for the text message, it asks my phone number, I enter, then says did you get the text message? Nope....Asks me to enter another phone number....What? I used my phone number??? So I enter my number again....Same thing.... No message.... So I wait, hoping maybe to be connected to an agent....Nope, disconnected again! 10 minutes later, a text message finally comes through. Finally get to an agent, who then tells me to wait even longer for a response. What the heck?!? It took less time to make the order and receive the item than it is taking to get some simple return instructions! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

I received this product damaged in the mail. I needed to purchase a new dog cage for my escape artist husky. She destroyed her last cage. So I decided to spend a little bit more cash for a better dog cage. I contacted customer service for a replacement within my 30 day warranty and they sent me screws instead of a replacement cage. My 30 day warranty ended cause of how much time was wasted trying to get a replacement cage. I was then referred to the manufacturer for the 90 day warranty which is Mariette Inc. I called the warranty number 678-294-3000.
I wasn't even on the phone for 6 minutes and the lady hangs up on me because she didn't want to deal with my issue 'cause she kept trying to refer me back to Overstock and I told her that they gave me that number to call. This has been a big hassle and I'm never purchasing anything again from Overstock. Nothing but a runaround and horrible customer service from Marietta Inc for the warranty on this Dog cage. Buyer beware if you purchase anything from Overstock.com. It more than likely to arrive damaged and it's going to be a hassle trying to get it replaced.

We recently bought an 8'x11' rug from Overstock through eBay that was defective so I contacted the seller, sending three brief, dissimilar messages, each with pertinent information, one after the other. An Overstock rep replied with a message that was somewhat snooty. I sent "too many messages", she was "really busy", etc. I was asked to send photos and did so, and per an eBay rep, I also opened a return claim with eBay just to cover myself.
The Overstock rep looked at the photos, agreed that it was defective, and said we could return it for a refund. She sent me a message saying, "Here is your return label!" but no label to print was attached. I contacted her about the missing label and she replied, "I'll send you one in 24 hours." She could take the time to tell me that but not send the label then and there? I also asked her if UPS could possibly pick the rug up at our home as we're seniors and don't drive and she replied, "Yes, but first you have to close the eBay case."
I contacted eBay to ask if I should do as she requested, and was told "No, the case will close automatically once the refund is made". I relayed this to the Overstock rep and she told me again that a pickup would not be made unless I closed the eBay case. In fact, she sent me this same identical message three times in a row as if to show me how annoyed she was with my original three different messages to her re: the rug. I contacted eBay and was told that Overstock was violating eBay policy, and eBay made the refund for me. Overstock seems to think that it can sell on a venue like eBay according to ITS rules. I won't use it again. I mean, God forbid that I should send their customer service rep a message, realize that I forgot to tell them something in the first one, send a second one, and get her so upset that she wants to curl up in fetal position and scream at the sky. I'd never forgive myself. :)

We ordered 2 umbrellas on 2/21/2022. We live in Ohio so it's just barely springtime here. We place one umbrella outside to see what it looked like and left it closed. Just opened it and it is severely faded. Overstock refuses to do anything about it because it past the return date. Spoke with a rep via text and she was no help. Terrible customer service and poor-quality product!

I had such a dissatisfying experience with this company that if they were to offer me any item in their inventory for free, I would not accept. If you think that is an exaggeration - think again. Not going to happen. These folks do not communicate with each other in their own company. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. I placed two items in the cart on their website and selected PayPal as my payment method. I was redirected to PayPal and I accepted the terms of PayPal.
In all my decades of using PayPal, at that point I am redirected back to the merchant's site to conclude my order. Not this time, at that point the order was submitted and I only knew because I received a prompt email from Overstock thanking me for that order. However, I never submitted the order. I was never re-directed back to the merchant's site to select any type of delivery options (of which the rep informed me there were no options) or review my order or submit my order. I never clicked any Submit or Place Order button. Yet this company states the order was placed "on my behalf". By whom?? PayPal certainly doesn't do that and if anyone is going to do anything on my behalf they had better have my authorization to do so first.
The rep I spoke to could not grasp this concept. Their website is flawed. Not functional. Another rep responding to my BBB complaint stated that I agreed to their terms and conditions, return policies, cancellation policies, etc. when I submitted the order. How in an ants ** am I supposed to know I have 30 minutes to cancel an order when I never placed an order? Again, rep is not able to comprehend I never submitted or placed any order and the problem is with their website.
This company attempted to withhold shipping fees ($400+) from my refund for an order that I cancelled (that I never submitted) before processing was completed and before the items were ever in transit. A shipment had been created at the delivery company (I spoke directly to the delivery company) - but the items were never in transit at time of cancellation. I ordered a loveseat and sofa. The rep told me (on the phone when we were trying to clear up this matter) the only delivery method available for that order was outside the house.
Now, I am over sixty years old and I am not capable in any way shape or form of lugging those items into my house from my driveway even if I ate a hundred pounds of spinach. There is no way on God's green earth I would have selected a delivery to have a loveseat and sofa dropped in my driveway. That should have been her first clue something was amiss. Had I ever been redirected back to that page for delivery I would have removed the items from the cart at that point and moved on to another company that offered white glove delivery. But I was not and I did NOT submit the order.
Upon hanging up she said four hundred plus dollars would be deducted from my refund. I was going to pursue that otherwise but I immediately received two emails and two text messages from this company issuing a full refund for the order. What?? Then about a half hour later comes the answer from the BBB rep reply that I had agreed to all their policies upon placing my order and I would be charged shipping fees. Again, What?? The rep further stated that if white glove delivery is offered it would have been on the page of that item. I did not go through every item on their website to notice any different options for all their different items nor am I required to. Who's on first at this company? I assure you it is not anyone remotely competent. Still not sure as to status of refund for this order I never placed. Too many conflicting stories. And the wheels on the bus go round and round.

We ordered a rustic coffee table. We assumed by the picture & priced it would have been made of solid wood. Not even close. It was laminate glued together with patched spots to fill the cracks. The bottom shelf was pieces of laminate pieced together like a puzzle. This was sub-standard quality for $443.00. We were told IF the return was approved it would be up to us to pay for the shipping. This table was a scam and is nowhere near anything you could buy for that price in a furniture store. We totally feel scammed!

I have purchased several items from this company and never had an issue until now. I ordered 2 Papasan cushions to replace my current ones. When I opened the package the cushion was very thin and was no way this was going to be comfortable to sit in. I requested to return the item and they recommend a "free" shipping label, which later mention that they will deduct the cost of the shipping label from my refund. I have never had this done from any other company. If I am not satisfied with the poor quality then I should get a full refund. I will never order from this company again and I will make sure to let everyone I know about the way they handle their returns.

The problem didn’t begin until I inquired about a bed frame that hadn’t arrived when scheduled. I was sent a text message 5 days ago and instructed to choose a delivery time and 4 hour window as a signature is required. I chose today from 8 to noon. At 9:30am I was notified via text that the 4 hour window had changed to 7-11am. At 12:15 I sent their “control tower” a message thru Live Chat asking about the status. The customer service rep Diego, asks for 3-5 minutes to investigate but after waiting for maybe two minutes our conversation was “closed” for some odd reason so I sent a new message and had to give verifying info again. The same Diego answers and states that now the delivery will be between 3-6pm.
At 4:15 I sent another message asking which carrier was being used. This time Hernan answers (after 3-5 minutes to “investigate”) with news that the delivery is now scheduled for 4/12 between 9am-5pm and he has no record of my previous conversation with Diego, and Overstock “are the carrier”. At this point I’m confused and wondering if these customer reps are even real. Now I am an easy going person and understand that things happen with deliveries out of our control all the time, but I have wasted an entire day waiting on something that's probably not coming ever and that is infuriating. I feel like I am being scammed and will never order from this company again. I tried calling to speak with a live person and was met with an eternal hold. I wish I would have read more reviews before sending them any money whatsoever.

Received furniture that was missing key hardware and it couldn't be put together. Didn't find out until after it was unboxed and partially assembled. The solution? I needed to box a partially assembled full size couch back into the single box it was delivered in. Then I needed to be available for when UPS just drops by in 2-5 business days. If you work, the solution is to leave it on the porch. I'm sure the Minnesota rain and snow won't create an issue with that integrity of that box. Biggest piece of advice, don't buy anything larger than a small lamp from them if you buy anything at all.

#1: I requested to cancel my order pretty quickly after I made it, but it had already “been processed” by their warehouse. Funny because it didn’t ship for another two days.
#2: The item I ordered was shoddily made and I paid twice what I paid for a superior product at Walmart (yes, Walmart believe it or not). Bad customer service on top of that. Never shopping here again.

I Purchased an Entertainment Center from Overstock which does not offer a service to put it together, for a price of course, so you either do it yourself or hire a service. The entertainment center was approx. 800 pounds in 5 large cartons so upon receipt it was put in my garage and I proceeded to hire a company to put it together as I am an 85 year old woman that could not even open 1 of the cartons. The company I hired proceeded to open 3 cartons and 2 of the pieces were damaged so they could not put the product together and had to leave and I was responsible for them coming out and doing what they did do and I paid them for the services they performed.
I Contacted Overstock on numerous occasions about the damage and since they provided me with the broken parts I asked them to credit me for what I paid the company that could not put the product together as it was not my fault they sent damaged merchandise. On numerous occasions I was told NO and I should have checked the product upon the receipt and they would not reimburse me. I am 85 years old and use a walker and even a normal size man could not do that and no way was the truckers that delivered the goods going to hang around for you to open those large cartons to inspect the merchandise. They dumped them in the garage and ran off to their next delivery.
I feel that since Overstock sold me the damaged product and I had to hire someone to put it together and they could not complete the job, Overstock should reimburse me as it certainly was not my fault they could not complete the job and Overstock's excuse of telling me I should have inspected the product first was a really poor excuse knowing full well that no one individual could have inspected that shipment and no trucking company would be expected to hang around for that. Plus they will not credit me for the damaged merchandise until a trucking company picks up the merchandise in about a week and returns it to some warehouse. So they have my money for that much longer.
I recently lost my husband who was retired military and that pension stopped along with his Social Security ended and I only have my social security and feel that once Overstock confirmed the damage I should have gotten my credit along with what I paid the company that I hired to put it together and they could not through no fault of mine. Any decent company would have credited me for what I paid the company to put the product together and they had to stop through no fault of theirs because it was damaged.

Very large, heavy shelving unit. Could have purchased it from Amazon. Arrived with a huge amount of clear tape all around the box. Opened it anyway, knowing that would be a red flag. First part out of the box as listed on instructions...MISSING. This had been previously returned. Called Overstock customer service. Was told by Paul that item was out of stock, no parts available and I would get a refund. Case # **. January 2022. Feb 9, 2022 odd emails from China with Chinese characters asking me for a picture of the box. One of the first hoops I had to jump through. I just knew they had no intention of refunding my $188.
Many emails later and an offer from China for $20 to go away, I refused. I then initiated a dispute with American Express. They researched and credited my account. Two days ago, they rebilled, because China said I was not compliant. Such a disgrace. Even American Express has let me down. Steer clear of Overstock. You will be gambling with whether or not you have a good experience, and they have no intention of ever satisfying a customer. I am fuming and out the money.

FRAUD - BUYER BEWARE - In December 2021, I purchased a 5 piece dining set. On January 6 I got a text saying delivered.. Looked outside - NO BOXES in sight. I checked the tracking again which was with USPS. It said Delivered "IN/AT MAILBOX"... Went into the mailbox and there was a small envelope with a random item that had the same tracking number. So I contacted Overstock AND USPS. USPS' manager called me back to say that the envelope I received is what was sent by the company and that USPS does NOT deliver any items over 70 lbs.
Overstock had like 30 Indians call and email to apologize and make false promises that the issue would be resolved. Keep in mind the tracking number still said "delivered" so now I disputed it with my credit card and overstock sends them that very same tracking number. Lo and below I still have the small envelope in my possession which is no bigger than a water bottle. So I had to have my credit card company reopen the dispute because I am not letting them get away with this. I spent over $900 on that dining set and got zilch and they wanted to pretend like they sent something when that is so far from the truth that it is comical. Then I tried to leave an honest review on their site and they denied it. Please do not shop there!

Had to spend a great deal of time to try and find an extra large pressure cooker/instant pot. Very difficult to find. Bought an actual instant pot, but even their largest 8 quart is way too small to cook for my needs. You can't fill more than 2/3 full. But the MEGACHEF 12 quart certainly fills the bill and seems to be the largest available on the market. Their competitor Go Wise wouldn't even bother to get back to you when making an enquiry, and their reviews showed that they were notorious for that very reason. The MEGACHEF 12 quart got decent reviews, so that's why I bought 4 of them. Go Wise you lose! This isn't the first time I've used OVERSTOCK.CA, and their promptness has been great. Overall, very pleased with both of these companies.

We have a friend coming to stay with us for 4 days this month and was needing a bed for our bonus room. My husband and I don't have many guests so didn't want to spend a lot of money but didn't want her on an air mattress either. Found a reasonable bed design that could be expanded to sleep as a king and put back to a daybed. The product arrived within a week of purchase, emails were sent on tracking and delivery, the product was packaged well and had no blemishes or damage, all pieces were there. Overall experience was more than I expected based on poor reviews. I will order again. I don't enjoy shopping online at all but this was a good experience. Thought I would leave a good review.

This time item was damaged before being delivered and returned by the carrier but Overstock indicated "Delivered". When I insist on canceling an item not received, NOT ABLE TO because they insist on my returning it and they have it back before a refund can be issued, Out of my control, NOT IN MY HANDS - NEVER RECEIVED IT! When speaking to a person they are deaf to what you say and hear only what they want you to accept and do virtually. Still figuring out how to get refunded. Overstock is absolutely the WORST company to work with. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and called the company to explain my account. These people are ruthless with money. I had several late fees because of being sick and they refuse to take them off even AFTER I did all that was required, including writing letters with proof of my diagnosis. They did nothing and are still doing nothing and after two late fees with me in contact with them, they reported it to the credit agency anyway. And when I’m speaking about late fees, we are speaking about $235.17 they reported and single handedly dropped my credit score by 67 points. I hate them. Please don’t support buying from them. The materials and items are cheap and they scam you when they can, charging you more on a post for an item from one vendor, then less from another. It’s a mess.

Purchased a treadmill in August 2021. Order filled by Costway, treadmill arrived and worked for 4 months, quit working correctly, costway notified, was informed they don't honor the 1 year warranty if sold thru another company, had bought a 2 year warranty with Overstock.com, reported and started a claim, have had a non working treadmill sitting in my living room nearly a month now and have not heard from anyone. Buyer beware, you just may end up with a 500.00 plus knick knack in your house that serves no function.

I ordered a futon mattress. It was described at faux suede 12" thick and looked really plush in the picture advertised. I received a very poor quality cloth futon, barely 6" thick. Definitely not as described! I was able to return it using their pre-paid shipping label. When I received my refund, the cost of shipping was decreased from the amount of my refund. I contacted customer service and asked for the full amount of what I paid to be refunded to me. I had to threaten BBB in order for this to happen. They refunded me the price of shipping then offered me a 5% coupon on my next purchase. I told them due to this transaction I will never shop at Overstock again. Total scam of a company.

I spent 30 minutes completing the application and was offered a discount code. Overstock.com wouldn't accept the discount as the fine print indicates that TOYS are excluded from the discount. Yes, Overstock.com considers a hot tub to be a toy.

I thought I had found the right company to make furniture purchases and I was very wrong. Almost all furniture purchased arrived damaged or not what the photos showed. It was a nightmare to return them and get my money back. My local furniture stores in Ohio don't carry unusual selection so I thought to try online. I had to call Overstock probably 3 dozen times to get everything taken care of. Won't recommend Overstock for anything.

I've ordered a few things from Overstock, 4k worth of garage cabinets, and now a Leather couch and loveseat. Cabinets were drop-shipped from the manufacturer and overstock never provided any tracking or correspondence with us as far as delivery. I had to contact the manufacturer of the cabinets to get an answer. Cabinets came dented up and once again overstock told me it was not their issue. Overstock washed their hands of the sale after I paid them.
Now we ordered a 4k leather couch and loveseat. Overstock never provided any tracking after 3 weeks I called them. They reassured me tracking would be provided and the delivery team would contact me. I waited another week and logged on only to see my order was canceled. I checked and double-checked emails and never once got an email from overstock stating our items were canceled. I called and they told me the container showed up and my couch and loveseat were not on it. So they just canceled the order without letting us know. I did receive a refund but the fact that they just canceled with no correspondence is nuts...So after 4 weeks of waiting, we were still without furniture. I'm done with overstock. Their communication is a joke.

I purchased a dining room rug Feb 2021. It was used maybe 5 times since it was put down. It is s Safavieh brand costing 1200 dollars. Now multiple loops of wool are pulling up, Sticking out. We called Overstock to inquire on what could be done to remedy the problem. They have no solution. I feel this is a terrible way to DO business AND will NEVER SHOP HERE Again. Ordered a nightstand and it arrived with damage. I expected a refund or replacement option. They took no responsibility for resolving. Customer rep said I must communicate the issue with the vendor. So for the last week I’ve been emailing with a company rep in China whose English is barely literate. No options…they want to replace the damaged piece: “It need to shipping from another countries to your end. Usual it will need few time to your end. Please no worries, we will push courier more fast to your end.” It’s already been 2 weeks since my original order with a dozen pieces lying on the floor. This is a joke. Why am I not laughing! Never again.

I purchased 2 lucite dining chairs on Overstock.com, carefully reading the return policy - I was responsible for return shipping, but the initial shipping was to be free. When the chairs arrived, they were of flimsy and unattractive quality, different from the staged photos on the seller's website "2XHOME", definitely not suitable for an elegant dining room as was suggested by the photos.
Furthermore, communicating with the seller on the return process was torturesome and fraudulent. They attempted to collect funds, not mentioned in their return policy, wanting to recoup their "free" shipping costs, and then wanting to charge $25 to arrange a FedEx pickup (the max FedEx charge is $4). Very dishonest seller, and Overstock.com did nothing to step in and resolve. The return process took nearly 2 weeks to decipher. Avoid Overstock and their "marketplace sellers," you don't need this kind of hassle, many other online vendors handle these issues smoothly.

I will be ordering exclusively from Amazon after a very difficult consumer experience with Overstock.com. I ordered two clothing items from overstock.com and they were shipped to me and did not fit. I attempted to return but no label was provided. The items are large and bulky and will cost a significant amount to return. I contacted the Overstock vendor BHFO (terrible company) and never received a reply after four emails and a phone call spoke to someone at overstock who said it was my responsibility to return. Service agent was rude, dismissive and unhelpful. Now it's my responsibility/cost to return.

Early October, I bought an expensive medicine cabinet from Overstock. Received it about a week later. Since we did not need to install the medicine cabinet until the bathroom was completely tiled, the cabinet set in its box until it was time to install it. Last week, we finally reached the stage where it was time to install the rest of the bathroom. After opening the box containing the medicine cabinet, we discovered that one of the hinges of the cabinet was broken. This was a bit peculiar since the cabinet door which is a mirror, was totally intact...??
My guess is that the hinge was already broken when Overstock shipped the cabinet from its warehouse. I called Overstock to return the item and Overstock, declined to accept the return because it had been more than 22 days since the item was ordered. Takeaways: 1. When ordering anything from Overstock, as soon as it arrives, check whether there was any damage during or prior to the transport. 2. Better still, stay away from Overstock.

I purchased from Overstock an inexpensive computer that was fairly comparable to any local sale for a computer with chrome operating system. It was fulfilled by a company Weekly Closeouts who sent a computer with an outdated 10 year old operating system so the computer will not work. I tried several times for over a month and a half to reach out to Weekly Closeouts as well as Overstock and finally got "We do not issue refunds for buyer's remorse" from Weekly Closeouts and "Sorry we won't help you" from Overstock. Well they are right. I always have "buyers remorse" when I buy something that does not work, but that is why you have returns and refunds. The fact that Overstock does not check out their marketplace sellers nor do they protect their customers from scams means that Overstock is no longer a reputable business to buy from. The thing I want to emphasize is Weekly Closeouts knew when they sent the computer that it would not work.

I have had a frustrating relationship overstock.com for a year. Everything from their merchandise to their customer service to their credit card are sketchy. Their quality is usually substandard and you can't get any customer service to help. I've purchased clothes and often the fabric is very substandard especially for the cost. Rewards member they still charge you to return the merchandise to most of their vendors their rewards program doesn't cover very much. Their customer service department is amazing. They will sit and argue with you tell you why you're wrong and not provide you any help. I was sent something in error. I was trying to return it, they argued with me about returning it. I did several returns during COVID restrictions. They did not correctly track what I had returned. I had to make a spreadsheet with the orders and what I had returned and talked to them for over an hour trying to explain where the problems were. The staff ended up yelling me.
There was still a $50 discrepancy and I had to let it go because there was no fighting with them. Their credit departments is a mess also. I consistently made my payments 5 days early and they still turn me into the credit bureau as a payment late. When I called and talked to them about it and their customer service is based in a foreign country. They argued with me and I couldn't understand most of what they said. Then when I filed with a credit bureaus that an error had been made and I had not been late with my payment they continue to argue. It is easier to take a ding on my credit than to fight with somebody who won't listen. Today I was desperate and was looking for holiday stemware and I figured I would give them a try. Their search engine was set up to show me everything but what I was asking for.
After 4 attempts to find what I was looking for I've given up. I decided to write a review. It is ridiculous that you cannot put something in a search engine and look for it without getting all sorts of garbage like bottle openers and a sofa and furniture coverings. My goal was to find stemware. A year and a half ago I purchased a few furniture from them. Two weeks later it was over $200 less expensive. I asked them to do a price adjustment. And they refused. I asked if I could return the item and purchase it at the current price and she told me that most likely. They would refund my original purchase at the current sales price so I would still lose the $200. I talked to her while there was a problem with this and how this was terrible customer service and I could not get her to understand. Most of their customer service is either foreign or very young and they don't have the ability to answer the questions or deal with the complaints. Terrible company. Not worth the hassle.

I ordered a three piece living room set of tables and the shipping was very fast, the price was reasonable if the quality was made of wood, which I found out afterwards that is like a plastic material like. When they arrived we had to ask for help to bring the big box in. The three tables are inside one box, and very heavy. I call the customer service right away and the person I spoke to was very helpful. She requested pictures of the damaged items to be sent on the email that she had sent me. She said that I should receive the replacement tables within two business days.
For now I’m waiting for the tables and see what conditions they are in. Hopefully they’ll arrive soon before the holidays since we will have guests coming over. The tables are in the pictures are very nice. This is my second experience with Overstock.com. I will give an update as soon as my tables arrive. As soon as they send the replacements and they are not damaged or no other issues, they will get 5 stars.

Working with this company for 4 month, finally they agree to sent me a return label, I return the item. They received and 3 weeks later they haven't return the money to my bank, EXCUSE after EXCUSE. WAYFAIR, WALMART and AMZON the best companies to do business online HASSLE FREE. And the worse Credit Card Bank of America, the best Credit card DISCOVER.

The customer service and level of understanding for basic requests with this company is the absolute WORST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! I asked a simple question via their message center (if I ever decided to close my account, what would be the necessary steps) - and, instead of replying and answering the question using the same platform - someone CLOSED MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Not to mention, all the products I received were cheaply made and looked nothing like the photos; plus, when they arrived - the boxes/packaging were terrible and looked as if someone had played soccer with the outside of the boxes. I have returned 95 percent of the products I purchased due to their misleading product photos.
No one attempted to resolve this issue; no one reached out to salvage the business relationship. When I did get someone on the phone - I was cold transferred over and over again without warning, and eventually had the call disconnected. It is probably a blessing that my account was closed without my permission - as, they are - by far -- the ABSOLUTE WORST furniture/decor company I have ever done business with. I would not recommend. They do NOT even deserve ONE STAR. Never, have I experienced such terrible products AND service, not to mention - the fact that someone closed my account without my request IN WRITING or VERBALLY -- feels like fraud.

Be very, very careful about overstock's return policy. I bought outdoor cushions for several hundred dollars, when they proved way too thick to fit the chairs, I returned them. They deducted about a third of the price for the return and wanted me to pay shipping. The ONLY way they would give a full refund was a credit to my overstock account, not a refund to my credit card. I had to buy their return policy club for 19.95, but, even then, only got a company credit.
To cap it all, I bought new cushions from them using the credit, but was charged for them without allowing the use of the credit. When I complained, they said the credit wasn't posted until 2 days after the return -- NEVER said anything of the sort before. I will be very reluctant to buy from them again --- and I have been a customer for years --- once my credit is used up. There is NO free return policy - none at all if you have to pay for a "club" membership to even get a store credit. Now I know why Amazon is so popular.

Overstock Order # **. Serta Luxe Edition Grandmere Plush Pillowtop 14-inch Hybrid Mattress. Let's review this order dilemma so that we have accurate information. Placed the order on Overstock.com on April 1, 2021. Money was taken off my credit card on April 1, 2021. On May 21st, (over 50 days later) I contacted Overstock questioning why I had not received the product, and had never heard from anyone. On May 21st, Elsie V. in customer care acknowledged my request. On May 22nd, rep. York replied and said it would take him 3-4 days to figure it out. 5 days later on May 27th, John J. an Escalations Specialist replied that they tried to reach me at an old number and needed a current number to contact me to set up delivery. On May 27th, I responded with my mobile number that was already attached to my account. I questioned why they had not emailed me.
3 days later on May 30th, Michelle P. an Escalation Specialist II, replied that I had given them the old number when I ordered. Since that number was disconnected a year prior, that could not be accurate. On June 4th, John J. an Escalations Specialist responded saying that the carrier had my new number and would contact me within 2-3 business days. It is now June 14, 10 days after promising me 2-3 days contact, and 75 days after placing the order with no contact, and I have still not heard anything. My thoughts on Overstock.com and their specialists, and complete lack of professional service:
They were quick to charge my credit card the full amount (April 1st), and notify me that the status was “shipped awaiting tracking update” (April 1st). That obviously was a lie. But used to justify charging my card immediately. And then Overstock did nothing.
I ship and receive many items and have NEVER had a shipper have to call me to set up a delivery.
Most supply email updates, but your specialist claims that “Our partners & the carriers they use will not contact you by email under normal circumstances as they will always make attempts to reach you by phone.” NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES? Would you say that not doing anything for almost 2 months is normal circumstances? Does this fall under non-professional service? Probably more like absurd service.
When I gave them my other contact number you responded saying that I would be contacted in 2-3 days. That response was already 9 days after I had given you my number on May 27th. Under these circumstances, I would expect a professional organization to have contacted the supplier and requested that they contact me immediately!
It has taken 4 different representatives to accomplish very little, to nothing so far. Instead it appears they are doing their best to dodge any responsibility.
This falls under the worst customer service of any company, and complete lack of professionality. I can only wonder what story or excuse they will come back to me with now!

I purchased a 6 ft x 6 ft bookcase. The product description stated solid wood and quality wood veneer. When I received the bookcase, it was particleboard with razor thin veneer. The finish was uneven and smooth in some areas and rough patches all over. The pieces are not labeled, so putting it together is a real joy. One fixed shelf was damaged and three adjustable were damaged. I was already livid about the particleboard, so contacted Overstock about returning it. They said sure, at a cost of $169!
Their return policy states damaged items can be returned at no cost. What they evidently mean is, you pay and we'll reimburse you later once the damage is verified. I said, "What about your dishonest description?" Nothing. They said they would have the manufacturer send replacement shelves and I would get an email stating this. Still waiting! Buyer beware! You cannot trust their descriptions! I left a review, with photos, but they DENIED my review. I'm furious at myself for trusting this vendor and not doing my due diligence.

I ordered a mattress that I expect to use for the next 10 years. When I got it I was not satisfied. It was delivered unpackaged by the delivery team. I placed a $300 mattress protector on it and tested it out for two nights and decided I wanted to exchange it for an upgrade. They refused stating that they do not take returns on mattresses unless it is defective. It clearly states on their website all items can be returned within 30 days. The mattress policy is another click away stating that if it is opened they will not take it back unless it is defective and it has to be determined defective at the time of the arrival. Most companies have a try it for 30 days and return if you don't like it no questions asked.
Now I am stuck with a mattress I don't want. I will put a My Pillow topper on it and keep it that way. Never ever again will I do business with this company. Their delivery guys unwrapped it and it could have been easily been left wrapped and returned after I tried it wrapped. It is still brand new as it was protected with the protector I bought for it. Still sanitary. Buyer beware because they don't care. It could have been done a lot better with a little more customer care in the beginning considering this was a purchase for near 3 thousand dollars. Don't buy from this company.

I had bought the above to replace another office chair I had purchased from them thinking it was brand new, instead, they sent me an open box item with the hardware missing from the package and the wrapping looking like something somebody did not want. Overstock used to be a reputable company. When you buy stuff from them they used to stick by the products they sell on their platform. Now it's a 50/50 coin toss. I would stay away from them until they clean up their act.

I am replacing a 6x9 rug in my dining area. I definitely ordered a 5x7. It was either use Overstock or go to Home Depot. I was happy with the price and reasonably satisfied with the pattern so I ordered. What I got is a 4x6. It looks awful in the space and was a waste of money. Screen capture when you buy! My link now goes to a 4x6 and I am SURE I did not buy that. Never again overstock. You should be ashamed.

I ordered rugs and changed my mind within 1 minute but they wouldn’t let me cancel the order. It wasn’t even processed yet but they wouldn’t let me cancel and order the rugs I actually wanted. I will never buy anything from them again.

I placed an order and within 24 hours requested a cancellation. It took three days for them to respond and of course it was already being processed so they would not honor my cancellation request. Once I receive the item I still wanted to return it so I requested a return, which they granted, however I had to pay $17 to ship it back. Save yourself the frustration and just purchase through Amazon. Amazon is always easy to return and does not charge. I will never order from Overstock again.

Customer service is horrible. I returned a vanity light almost a year ago & have documents that show the return with a zero balance. It's the only purchase I made with their Comenity Bank credit card & should have a credit balance. I made a $50 payment to keep my account from being reported negatively during their investigation. My credit rating was over 750 before this, now it's fluctuating around 625. Overstock has been of no help & I've sent documentation to Comenity multiple times. It's damaging my credit score terribly. They're saying I owe almost $300 for a light that was returned that only cost about $150 originally. They're harassing me non-stop and it's super stressful. I fear I'm going to have to pay for a debt I did not incur, just to keep the situation from hurting me more. I've disputed it on all credit reports but have had no help. Would not recommend Comenity or Overstock. They're both HORRIBLE.

Overstock advertised to open credit cards with $30 promotion. I opened the card with overstock at my purchase. I was informed that I can pay the amount after the $30 promotion was deducted. Unfortunately, I found out that I still own Overstock for $30. If I do not follow up to pay it, my name will be put in the collection list for bad credit. Additionally, Overstock never takes responsibility for me. Overstock pointed me to the Comenity bank to resolve. Therefore, Overstock is irresponsible and crooked in the way they handle their business with customers.

I placed and order on Saturday afternoon and 27 minutes later asked that it be canceled. Overstock said they can not respond for 48 hours. The response was the item could not be canceled. So, I order jewelry from Overstock.com for my wedding on September 17th. It STILL have not shipped, customer service asked me to wait 3-4 days for them to "contact the partner" (because all orders are guaranteed to ship within 1-10 business days) and now I am left with no faith or trust in their inability to handle my needs and they are telling me I do not currently have the ability to cancel my order - despite the fact they have my $$ and can not guarantee delivery within the guaranteed time frame I was given during check out! What a ** ** show. Anyone else have the displeasure of trying to obtain items you purchased from this retailer? At what point do I contact BBB, IL Consumer Protection, etc.? I am now three points of contact in with documentation and getting NOWHERE.

I ordered matching patio furniture sets. They all arrived and the status remained "Shipping". We assembled and used everything, minus two chairs of the set that hadn't arrived. I reached out and Overstock told me that there were no chairs, and I could return one of the sets. I told them I already used half the set and asked for a 50% refund, since more than 50% of the set was missing, which would have been $300. They offered me $100 store credit and would not budge. So I returned the used set and re-ordered the set ala carte, because the chairs WERE STILL AVAILABLE. This of course cost me more money than the set, but I had no choice if I wanted it to match the other sets that I already had and used. So frustrating.

I ordered 3 pieces of furniture and was given a date for the delivery. It did not come and I received an email that it would come on a certain date about a week later. It did not come on this date. Since I was required to be at home when it came, I had stayed there twice. I called customer service and they said the carrier forgot to call me and tell me that one or the 3 pieces wasn't ready, but I could get it in 2 days because it was now available. This was on the same day it was to arrive. So, magically it was available. It's now the day of the 3rd promised day of delivery with 2 hours left in the time frame given. I called customer service and they said the time frame had changed from 9-2 pm. to 1-5 pm. So, another day wasted waiting for a delivery I may or may not see.
In addition, since I placed this order and before it was to be delivered, I placed another order. That order was cancelled because it was discontinued. I received no notification and only found out because I went online and checked its progress. So, don't expect any communication and lots of wasted time if you order from Overstock.com.

When I placed my order the items were available and on sale. Received word that the shipping label was created and all communication stopped. Week and a half later I reached out asking about the order, received email that if I didn't receive product in 24 hours they would cancel and refund. I emailed Overstock back stating that I wanted the product, they were still advertising the product, and not to cancel and refund. Guess what! They cancelled and refunded. I called Overstock. They said it was too late that the refund was processed. I asked to reorder at same price and they would not honor it. I have ordered a few times from them, never successfully, plus they boycott other American business so I just don't think this company is the type or quality of business I want to purchase from.

Bought a Gucci dive watch that looked so nice. I had a problem with it so I took it to my local jeweler to have repaired. He sent it to Gucci. They sent it back saying it was a counterfeit. I have all the documents to prove this of course. They took weeks to wait for the company they ship them out of. They wire the refund back to Overstock. Credit card missing the shipping charges and not crediting me back my rewards points. Then no admittance of wrong. Still selling them online. And it takes them weeks to get me money from credit card to my bank. Isn’t it funny how they can take money in seconds but when wrong and they have to pay it takes weeks. The two original people who helped me were kind and were just following protocol. And the company who ships them I believe is Watchmasters out of my. I would swiftest anybody who has booth a Gucci dive or any Gucci product to call Gucci with your serial number and make sure it’s authentic!

I placed one order of a bunch of items from Overstock recently. I needed to return 3 items from the order. It turns out they want me to send the 3 items in 3 separate boxes and pay 3 return shipping fees totaling $54. Overstock is NOT a retailer, just a middleman taking orders and raking in the money. My orders were actually from 3 separate companies, not from "Overstock." What a sham and a scam! If that's how they operate, they need to disclose it upfront and be transparent, not sneaky and shady.

Made a purchase and then received an email stating if I signed up for Club O I would still receive rewards for my purchase after I spend another $19.99. No rewards received since I signed up after the order-even though the email invited me to and promised what would have been 88.75. Once they had me sign up then there was no more rewards. Horrible quality of couches! After having them for only 2 months they started falling apart. The reclining mechanism tweaked, the hooks that keep them together broke off, the cushions started losing their firmness. I've tried and tried for someone to come out and fix them but Overstock and Guardsman warranty keeps throwing the ball at each other and no one wants to take responsibility to fix this issue. I regret this purchase so much! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY FURNITURE FROM OVERSTOCK!! Because if anything is wrong with it you're pretty much stuck with an expensive useless piece of furniture! I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW MUCH I DO NOT RECOMMEND OVERSTOCK AND GETTING THAT GUARDSMAN'S WARRANTY. BEWARE!

I ordered a Chesapeake patio bench from them along with a teak bench. I was sent the teak bench, which is very nice, but instead of the patio bench, I received some weird table. My husband arrived home before I did and didn't know it was the wrong order. He put it together. Next morning I contacted Overstock. We had to disassemble the table, try to repackage it back up for pick up and then they will ship out what I ordered. I decided to cancel my order and receive a refund. I will not receive my refund until they receive the table I didn't order back. Wayfair is so not like this. Will not ever order from overstock again, who knows if I will receive my money back. We will have to spend the morning trying to package this big ugly thing back up.

DON'T SHOP OVERSTOCK. WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. CUSTOMER PAYS FOR RETURN SHIPPING. I purchased 4 rugs from Overstock. The sizes were off and didn't fit the area I needed them for. I called them and I was told the sizes listed on the site are not exact measurements, just approximate. AND I had to pay to ship the items back since the item didn't arrive broken. I had to pay $50 to return rugs that cost $90. Unreal. Don't waste your money. It may be cheap but you pay for it later if you have to return it. AND the quality was cheap TOO!

Over a month ago I ordered a children's bookcase but was sent the incorrect item, a heavy children's kitchen set. I contacted Overstock who said they would resend the bookcase and I would just have to return the error item. After explaining that I have two young kids at home and could not physically carry this box to UPS, they arranged for the carrier to do an at home pick up. Long story short, UPS did not show up, the Overstock team told me twice, on two separate calls, that due to the in delivery/pick up issue that I could keep or dispose of the incorrect item rather than return and I would not be charged. Now, one month later, I woke to a notification that I have been charged $170 for the item I did not want. Arghhh! Customer service has been anything but helpful. So frustrating!!!

Patio cushions we ordered were not the color on website and were cheap material. Tried to return and Overstock OVERCHARGED us a 50% return shipping fee, Never Again. No one does this, Amazon, Best Buy, etc. The cushions were $55 and the return shipping fee was $29.

Within 20 minutes of ordering a coffee table on this site, I requested to cancel the order. I got an auto-generated message that they would reply with 2-3 days. I received a message a day later saying that the item was being "processed for shipment" and that I could not cancel the order. Three days later, the table has STILL not actually been shipped, so there was PLENTY of time to cancel it. Worse, I cannot return it without incurring a huge shipping cost - the item is heavy and awkward - because my reason for returning it doesn't comply with the ones for which they pay return shipping. I will never order from this site again and will go back to Amazon where cancellations are done ASAP and returns are easy and free with Prime.
