    I usually wear size 2X. To compensate for differences in Asian sizing, I ordered 5X and it was still too small!     Items are poor quality and do not match description nor color on website. Sizing on men's shirts is awful, not even close. Hats were rolled up and bent to a point they can not be reshaped!     I'm very unhappy with the whole experience. I'm trying to return both tops on the order but am being stopped at every turn. The website says I can return items but dealing with the people is impossible. Quality is terrible. The fabric feels like cardboard and I don't want the shirt. I'm being forced to take a discount but I don't want the shirt(s), they are poor quality. I'm willing to pay to have BOTH shirts returned but like I said I'm being forced to take a discount and keep the shirts. I can't believe I have to do this one at a time and will have to go through this whole thing again. I'm very, very disappointed and getting angry.

    After 4 months I haven't received my goods - and they will not give me my money back. An experience many others in this thread have had. Lightinthebox are stunningly indifferent no matter how much you turn to their customer service (By the way, count on one answer every 24 hours - they love to exhaust you). They will not refund my money as they claim they have not received the package returned which they never sent. It's pure peasantry. Stay away! There are so many good companies that are better and cheaper and to count on Ligthinthebox is NOT one of them.

    A shirt ordered for my husband which claimed to be long sleeve was about 5 inches short in the arm length. I complained and asked for a replacement (my husband is a short man and there is no way this shirt was not defective) and I was told I would have to send the shirt to China in order to get a refund and I have to pay for shipping.     I ordered 9 items, tried 2, neither fit, and immediately requested to return all items for a full refund. I was w/in return policy criteria, and emailed 3x for address, but they continue to ignore me. Horrible experience, will never order again. You guys can keep my money, it seems like that’s all you want, but don’t lie in your policies then not follow through. Honesty and principles are business standards, and it seems that your company lacks both. And for a publicly traded company, no wonder why your stock price is crap! And Bloo, don’t bother responding to my review either. Adjust your dishonest policies and communicate with your customers within the promised timeframe.

    Delivery dates changed 3 times and when articles arrived, two were fine for the fit but one article, a shirt was several sizes too large. These items were not possible to return because of the high cost of postage and time limit which means they have to be sent priority post which means the cost is more than the value of the items.     Not the placed to order clothing. Fabric quality is poor, looks nothing like photos, but the worst part is the sizing. I measured according to their size charts, the xl fit, the 2xl was snug, the 4xl was the smallest. And you will not be able to return to get your money back. Yes, their return policy does say you must pay for return shipping. So you would expect that to be equal to what you were charged for the original shipping (order came from New York distribution center).

    WRONG, you are told to ship your return to China by paying a huge shipping fee, or else they will issue you a small credit and you keep the unwanted product. This is a SCAM! You will get cheap product that probably won't fit and lose your money. BEWARE. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a New York company, it is China all the way, don't expect USA customer service.

    This order was an XL for my husband and an XXL for my 50 yr old son's birthday. They wear L and XL but reviews say they ship smaller.     First of all it is always a risk ordering from these types of sites, I know this. However, when a customer receives something that is different from what they were expecting to get because the product photo made it look completely different, that customer’s request to exchange/return that item should be honored. This company and others like it has the worst customer service. There is never any regard for the customer. The dress I ordered has a khaki mesh at the top that does not fit my skin tone because I am a BROWN SKINNED GIRL and the dress is obviously made for a lighter complexion person. Discovering this I have requested to exchange the dress for something else. Mind you, I am within 7 days of receipt, the dress in the photo looks nothing like what I received, it’s a standard size dress that was not altered and according to their own policy I am within my right to request a refund/exchange.

    These people have found every excuse in the world not to accept this dress back. The policy states that I don’t even have to have a reason if I start a return within 7 days of receipt. They want to keep going back and forth with me past the 7 days so they can say, "Oh well you’re past the threshold." Terrible terrible customer service! Will not be ordering from this site again. AND I will be filing a dispute with my bank. Now you’re going to refund my entire payment instead of just processing a return. Save yourselves the trouble folks and order from a site that practices better customer service. A site that actually values their customers. There are so many other sites that sell what they sell here and probably for better prices and less shipping time. Chow!

Light in the box offered a solution that made me feel valued as a customer. I am happy with the resolution they offered.     Original Review: Purchased 2 long sleeve bicycle tops in size S. Both are using the exact same sizing chart on the site; however, 1 top fit fine and the other was much larger around the middle. I have several other tops like these and all fit just like the first one. LightInTheBox told me that I must understand the tops fit true to the size chart. Obviously one of them did not! I now have one top I can wear for the price of two! My only recourse is to arrange for shipping back to China at my expense and hope the shipment actually reaches the sender and the sender actually refunds my money after all of that happens. This is what happens when you purchase items from sellers in China. Sometimes they are what they are advertised to be and sometimes they are not. I gave a 3 star rating as I am pleased with the one top. It's too bad I paid full price for the second top that doesn't fit properly.

    I am extremely disappointed with the customer service, first and foremost the product arrived 10days later than the delivery date given online, so I could not wear it for the occasion that I had ordered for. Upon receiving it, I saw that it was very small for me and looked very funny quality and stitch was quite disappointing too.

    So I booked a ticket and asked them to exchange it and give me bigger sizes, but got the most disappointing response that no free exchange is available and my only option is, to keep the product and get a refund of 20%, later they offered 40%.     This was my first experience with Light in the Box and I ordered $292 CAD worth of clothing based on excellent reviews. Add a little over $70 for shipping and almost 2 months wait for my clothes. The website said most items ship within 24 hrs!?! Disappointing. I decided to keep 2 belts, one is falling apart after a few wears, two itchy rough knit cardigans and a blouse with strange cuffs that is completely see through. None of these quality issues were identified on the website.

    I have been trying to return 8 items for reasons such as ink blotches (splashes), sizing too large, itchy, poor quality material and colour/digital prints being way off from the images on the web. The return process has so many steps and it kept canceling the returns I was attempting to initiate. Every time I get an email from customer service it’s someone new not addressing what the previous person said. I was offered a 50% credit for only some of the items I want a refund for. I will never wear any of them and want a full refund. Furthermore, the credit is only available if I spend more than the amount being credited and they said I still have to pay the shipping and duty. Everything I received was very cheap, and not worth the time waiting, the money spent or the hassle trying be treated fairly in the return process.

    I am happy with the quality of some of my order. Other things were not as pictured, lesser quality, poorer fabric. I was not able to return anything easily, because they made it difficult saying that in China there is a delay, I need to pay for shipping etc. but they were willing to offer me a 10% refund or credit. Which means I pay twice for shipping, and my items were not even worth that cost. This is not good business. I refused those options and then it was a game, back and forth.

    If you can’t stand behind your products, give a real photo and proper description of everything you sell I am not impressed. They are hoping people won’t bother to return things because of the difficulty and cost. This is bad business.

    Original review: I don't see how this website is legitimate. I placed an order and my credit card was charged but I never received a confirmation, no shipping information, my login doesn't work, I selected password reset at least 10 times - no reset email (not in spam), I tried submitting a help ticket - the message says my email address is invalid, the merchant telephone number registered with my credit card company does not work. There is NO WAY to contact this company or receive any information of any kind. I believe this is a scam. I reported the transaction as fraud and cancelled my credit card.

    DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I received two dresses--as my own measurements didn't match a size exactly, I ordered two to see which would fit. I did not request a custom made item. Neither dress fit -- both are huge in the bust. According to their own return policy I have 7 days to request a full refund -- for no reason. I entered a refund request and they first tried to tell me that because shipping back is expensive, I should take a partial refund. I chose the full refund option regardless and asked for a return form. They refused.

    They then told me that I had to take pictures of myself taking my measurements, send those to them, and they would return. I refused that--I'm not taking photos of myself and sending those to them. Now they are saying that the items were custom made and that they will not accept a return or issue a refund. The items are not custom made, I did not send them my measurements and it is clear from the items themselves that they are not custom made. This place is a scam. I now have two of the exact same dress -- neither of which I can wear.

    The product was a good quality, there sizing is not the greatest. I order 3 of the same shirts just different colours and they are all a very different size. Their sizing chart is not accurate either for how the styles are supposed to fit. I order an off the shoulder shirt in large which is a 8-10 which is what I wear and it definitely is not off the shoulder. To get the look they show you will need to order it 2 sizes bigger.

    Do not expect to get a refund if something doesn't fit or is defective. It takes about a month for the order to arrive because they are in China. Even though you pay for to have your order shipped, you have to pay to return anything regardless if it's defective or it just doesn't fit. The cost to return anything for a refund or exchange is almost what you paid so they tell you to keep whatever it is and they will give you 10% of purchase price as a refund. In my case 10% of the price of jacket that did not fit was about $5.00. I ordered according to the sizing chart on the website. I am 6 feet tall, 200 lbs. I had to order a 3XL and it was still too small. It's really just a scam to purchase their crap because they know it make no financial sense to ship it back if you are not satisfied. I thought I would be safe if I used PayPal. NOT! They are in on it and don't care to help you.

    I ordered a dress and cape both in the color burgundy. The dress came in a plastic envelope, the dress was a bright red and the cape is burgundy in color. The dress was unzipped, turned wrong side out, and waded up. The beads on the dress are crooked and not evenly placed. They wanted pictures of the dress to show it was the wrong color, you can't tell the color. I wanted a refund and was refused. I am very disappointed and pissed.

    I purchased 4 items of clothing from this site on 12/20/21. I received the items on 12/30/21. Pretty decent shipping speed from China to the US. That's the only good part. Box came stuffed, squeezed with my 4 items. Upon trying them on I quickly regretted buying any of the items I received. I'm 6'2 200 lbs and fit. These items did not fit well at all. Baggy arms but the photo on their site showed a more slim fit cut for the shirt I received. Pants had the same problem. Jackets were ok, but cheesy "fashion" patches on the jacket. Everything fit, felt, and looked cheaply made. So time to return it right? Oh, that's going to be a process. You have 7 days to reach out to them and get a return authorization. Had to stuff the items back into the box they provided for shipping. Next, they do not accept FedEx or UPS for return shipping, only USPS. Hmmm, why? Go to USPS, $85 to ship $135 worth of clothing back.

    Why did I proceed with the return? Because I was that done with this order, I'm going to get something back from this nightmare experience. $50 is better than nothing. So I shipped it all out in a timely manner, provided them the tracking number on 1/8/22. It's 2/12/22 now, item has been held in customs in Shanghai China since 2/8/22. This is the game this company plays. They make it extremely difficult so you won't return the product and they pocket your money for very cheap products they sell. Even if you do follow everything in their complicated return process, you get to deal with Chinese customs next. That's why overall, stay away from this company. That $40 jacket or $13 shirt will not look as good as it does in their pictures of the product. And you really have no reasonable way to return any of it. Nice little setup this place has and that's the only reason they are in business in my opinion.

    Red, capped sleeve A-line dress, faux-button front with a separate tie belt of the same red fabric. Green sleeveless A-line dress with a daisy floral print. Both knee length, casual wear dresses, non formal. Fabric is a polyester, with minimal stretch, so one must make sure of measurements before order. Dress bodices cut for a more modest bust. Those with a more generous bust size should size up. Fabric is thin - ideal for warmer weather. Shipping was about 3 weeks on this order.     I purchased 2 3D polo shirts from Lightinthe box on the 17th of January 2022. Size was M. Order # **. Everything went smoothly and the items were received at my address in New Zealand 10 days later. The shirts looked great but on trying them on one was very tight and the other loose. After I left a review of the shirts on Lightinthebox, they came back and told me that I needed to check the sizing of the shirts on their website, making it seem that I ordered the wrong size. This I did and found that a medium fit is 103cms. We then measured the shirts and found that the black and white shirt measured at 98cms which on their chart was a small sizing and the purple shirt measured 108cms which on their chart was a large sizing! We were amazed, quality control, in relation to sizing, at Lightinthebox appears to be non existent.

    Both shirts show the sizing on the collar as "M". The latter shirt is slightly too big but I play sport (squash) in it and am not worried about the oversize but the other shirt is too small and needs to be replaced. Lightinthebox are not making it easy. I've sent a number of emails off to them with no reply to date and I would have to say that they don't make it easy to complain, in fact their so called Help Center is a mystery and appears to be designed to deter any complainant. Normally you would write a message on the Help Center page. Press send and off it goes and somebody responds back within 24 hours. Nothing like that exists on their page!! I hope that they see this and it kicks them into action now to put matters right. Regards. Ian

    I discovered LITB when ordering shirts to wear for tennis. Their selection of shirts available is extraordinary! They must have literally thousands. However, there are 2 main things to be very careful about: sizing and quality, but especially sizing. I usually wear a US men's MED shirt or a US 38. With my 1st orders, I ordered accordingly without paying particular attention to their Sizing Charts and that was a mistake: the MED shirts I eventually received barely fit my wife who usually wears a women's SM. I eventually learned to pay VERY close attention to every item's sizing chart when ordering anything. For me, on many of the shirts, as they are coming from China, I had to order XL to be the equivalent fit of a US men's MED.

    Second, I found that some of the shirts looked really good for the initial wear, but after laundering 1-2x, they really deteriorated, especially in the collar for polo-style shirts. Others held up fine to repeated laundering. Some of the shirts were made of a thin rayon/polyester type of material similar to what you might describe as "DryTech" which wore very well in the hot Florida summer weather and dried quickly. However, others are made of a heavier knit type of polyester material that I feel is too thick to wear in hot weather. The problem is that there is no way of knowing which shirt will arrive made of which type of material or whether it will or won't stand up to laundering: it's literally hit or miss. The only other things to be aware of is that everything ships from China so if you're used to getting things next day or in 2-3 days from, say, Amazon, this is NOT that: shipments can take 3 weeks.

    Consequently, if you're used to easy returns, say, thru Amazon, this is also NOT THAT. You pay for shipping both ways and you have to be aware of that. The prices are really quite good, but you have to factor in shipping costs and the relative difficulty of doing returns. I guess the best way of trying to determine the quality of what you are planning on ordering is to carefully look at the Reviews. I've also had the experience of ordering shoes/sandals. One pair that looked v. nice in the photos. Arrived like a VERY cheap, thin almost slipper, whereas in the same order, the sandals I got were great! To sum up: "There's No Free Lunch" - you get ENORMOUS selection and good/great prices, but quality of product is very variable and shipping is not what we're used to in the US.

    Felt very was really ow on most items. Not happy with options for sizing i.e., Chinese XL sizing is much smaller than it is for USA or Canada so clothing items were too small. I don't like that one can't get a full refund for items that don't fit because of the size difference. It means items have to be kept because it often cost more to send back than the item actually cost so it's just not cost effective.

    I have placed several orders with this company and they send products that are cheap, tear easily, and don't match the product picture or description at all. It's junk. Then they won't even refund you. They just tell you to keep the product and give you a partial credit to wade through more of the junk on their website to try to find something, which you have to pay more for, and turns out to be the wrong product and terribly made again. I wish my daughter had never found this site for a Halloween costume. It's a rip off.

    Wrong item - ordered a 3 loop ring, received a ring with a cross and chain. Materials used are poor quality - high waisted yoga pants with side pockets - the pants fall down if you put anything in the pockets, the elastic twists and does not support. The wooly lined leggings are much smaller than described. Also, much more affordable to buy from a store. I can go on with other items I want to return but not worth my trouble, money, time. In general, materials are cheap, designs are nice, but in the end not worth the long shipping time and costs. I like the products like housewares, etc.. but again, after time and shipping costs, it's easier and more satisfying to buy from a store. They deliver for free.

    I placed an order on 12/24/2021 for a prom outfit for my niece. We used the size chart provided by the company and ordered a size 0. The outfit was shipped on 12/29/2021 and I received it in record time. The color was spot on, the material was great and the craftsmanship was good. Then she tried it on and realized she could not sit and the waist was uncomfortably tight. I requested an exchange for size 2. They did not want the item back and tried to get me to take a) 10% cash and keep, b) 20% credit and keep or c) pay shipping to send back.

    I asked to send back since the ultimate goal is to have the outfit worn at prom. I was then told it was a custom outfit even though it was a standard size and that it was made once they received my payment. "No Return" would be granted. I have kept all the emails from them and wish it would have turned out different. Now we have to shop again BUT local this time. I would not and will not recommend doing business with this company.

Returns are mostly impossible, as they have to go back to China and the shipping cost was almost twice what the shoes cost. They did give me 30% of the cost for a refund.     I have just completed my dealings with Light In The Box. It's all started on Dec. 7th 2021 and finally came to and end Jan.15 2022.     Updated on 01/23/2022: On January 17th, 2022 I posted a one star rated review on my recent purchase from LightInTheBox. It was a terrible experience and I divulged all the details in my review. How this company operates is reprehensible. They attempt to control you by threatening to withhold a 100% refund unless you change your review rating of 1 star to 4 or 5 stars. This method of doing business is disgusting and beneath contempt. This company has no honour. I have refused their demand and I instructed them to refund the 20% of my purchase price that they originally stated they would. This is their "COMPANY POLICY".

    So, I am giving up approximately $65.00 (the difference between a full refund and a 20% refund) in order to take a stand and make other people aware of how terrible this company is and to put this company's overall star rating closer to where it really should. I will now wait to see if they are going to even refund the 20% as they said they would. If they don't, I will be posting another review.

    The difference between this company’s customer service department and return policies and Amazon's is night and day. It is almost a given, if you order online, that you will probably need to return something at some time. Believe me, you do not want to be attempting to return something to LightInTheBox and have an expectation of be treated properly and like you are a valued customer, it will not happen. I hope this review helps people make informed decisions and to save themselves massive aggravation they don't deserve. Have a nice day and shop smart.

    Original Review: I ordered 2 pairs of casual pants from Light In The Box, they were 2 different styles. I am a 42 inch waist and according to their sizing charts I needed a 3 XL of 1 type and a 4 XL of the other type. I placed the order. Weeks later they arrived and when I tried them on, both pairs weren't even close to fitting me. The one pair was about 3 inches apart from being fastened at the waist and the other pair was so tight I could barely get them over my hips.

    I emailed the company with this information and my unhappiness with their product. They responded that they wanted pictures including the barcode and the labeled sizes stitched in the pants. They also wanted me to lay them out with a measuring tape to show the sizes of THEIR pants. This is where they start to make things difficult for customers who they hope will give up in frustration. Because these are their products and they obviously already have this information. These pictures are an annoying ploy on their part. Following is an excerpt from one of their follow up emails. This really shows you how unprofessional they are. This was based on the fact I refused to waste my time and send them pictures of their own products.

    "For return/exchange, you will need to mail the items back to China and the costs for return have to be borne by you. You may enquire with the Local Post Office or any available economical logistics companies. Please ensure that parcels for return are processed properly as Lightinthebox would not be liable if the parcel is rejected by the logistics companies or not received by us. This process of return usually takes about 3-5 weeks upon us receiving your parcel.

    Based on our experience, the incurred costs may be of similar value or higher than that of your parcel. This means that sending the items back to China may not be a viable option for you. Therefore, instead of a return/exchange, may we suggest that you keep the items, give them to a friend/family member who can use them? Sometimes, a new order for the correct size may be more cost-effective than an exchange.

    We would like to propose the following offers which may be more beneficial and practical than a return:
    A) Keep the items and receive a REWARD of 30% of the product's value. (CAD 20.02)

    B) Keep the items with a REFUND of 20% of the product's value. (CAD 13.35)"

    My total order was approximately $80.00, and they are saying it is going to cost $80.00 to ship them back. If this is true how can they make money by paying $80.00 in shipping costs to ship them to me. It is very obvious that they are straying somewhat from the truth here. So I am somewhat happy that my first and only order with this firm is only for $80.00 and that is all I'll lose.

    In contrast, my wife ordered me a pair of shoes from Amazon for Christmas, they were too tight. Needless to say the return process with Amazon was simple and quick with none of the nonsense that I am getting from this company, Light in the box. So once again, do yourself a favour and don't subject yourself to the aggravation of dealing with a shady and unprofessional company. I hope everyone has a nice day.

    I previously rated this company a 1 when I felt that the customer service wasn't up to my expectations, however, they have well corrected that and followed up with great service and held up to everything that they promised. I "jumped the gun" without giving the company the opportunity and time to make it right. It is because of this, I want to change my rating to a 5. I had never dealt with "chiffon material" and was taken by surprise by its very light texture, and although it was not for me, it may be perfect for others.

    LightInTheBox should be honest to its potential buyers and simply state that there is no money back under any circumstance because they will simply give the standard answer that "because your order was customized to fit" that there is no return. Customized? I simply ordered the listed sizes that they posted were available and ordered from that. My reason for return was not the size, it was the cheap, flimsy material and looking at the crotch of the pants looked as though they were close to a "hip hugger" style.

    I responded to them twice that I was unhappy with the material and wanted a refund after opening the box less than 3 hours after delivery. They asked twice for my measurements?? I responded what did that have to do with the cheap material? The price was what attracted me, but what good is it if you are unhappy with your purchase. In my case I am out $134.00 and will be donating the outfit since they have made it clear they are not refunding a penny proving that customer satisfaction is of no importance. If you take a gamble with this company, be prepared to lose.

    I ordered a large men's "Matrix" trench coat from LightIntheBox for a Christmas gift. First of all, it was late getting here. Mainly, however, it was a men's large and when it came it wasn't even able to go on the ARM of my hubby. It looked like a child's Halloween costume. It was ridiculous!!! I hope my youngest grandson likes the matrix because he would be the only one in the family that could get into it!!!

    If I had known this place was in Hong Kong, I wouldn’t had placed an order. I paid $31 in shipping fees for a quick delivery. I ordered clothes for my grandchildren, late Christmas gifts. I was told that my order would be delivered within 24 hours, then on the 12th, and now on the 17th. I am very disappointed on the delivery dates. I will follow up once I receive the delivery on the quality of the merchandises.

    I really like the look of the shirts I ordered. I don't like how they fit me. If I had been in a store trying them on I would have tried different sizes to see if a smaller one fit better than my normal size. They seem a little larger than I expected. I don't like the collars. I like to wear my collared shirt with the top one or two buttons undone. The shirts don't look or feel right if they are not buttoned all the way up and then I don't like the look of it. The collars seem to be larger than normal and don't fit like my normal size. I love the look of the shirts but don't like how they fit me. I don't like the way the company makes you review their products by choosing a particular statement that may not be as accurate as I would like it to be.

    I couldn't talk to a person about my order and that is really frustrating. Communicating only through messaging is not a good clear way to communicate. Their way of making things right was to give me a pittance to be used on a future order. This is not good customer service. I usually don't take the time to review products but I am not happy with their customer service or the way their products fit. Thanks for letting me rant! Bruce

    I had bought in beginning of November 2021 a diving suit wich has arrived in a matter of days and fit well. I had also placed an order at the exact same time for some diving gloves, the timeframe was between the 14th and 21 of November. Today, the 6th January 2022, the product has still not arrived, I have written the customer service multiple times about this issue and all they had to respond was ''please be more patient''. So I ordered a refund since the package after 3 months had still not left China and no effort had been made to recover it or to send a new one. My thought is that this company doesn't care about their customers at all and I would not recommend it to anyone willing to buy cheap. If I get a refund I will remove this note and leave a 4 star rating instead.

    I ordered a Ugly Sweater from this company and the Product was not a sweater when I received it. It was a pull-over shirt. Product description indicates it’s an ugly sweater but it is not. Very disappointed and the return is a hassle with this company. It is not user friendly and it takes days to get a reply to try to return the product. They make it really hard to return.     The clothes were of extremely poor quality. You cannot return because they come from china and the shipping cost is more than the order. Also, would I trust them to say they actually returned? No, I would not. I had to settle for a 1/3 of what I paid because I wanted to keep none of it. I should have known better and will pay more attention in the future to the website I buy from.     For a Christmas present I ordered from this company for my boyfriend. Arrived and it was nothing got it look like in the picture so I've been trying to return it for the last 13 days. It's a seven step process to return a package to these people. I still haven't gotten an email so I can return the sweater and it says 24 hour time limit and they would get back to me. I spent over $300 on this company and I'm still waiting on packages that were for Christmas presents.
