    Justanswer.com is an aggressive and a rather disingenuous company appearing on top of many Google searches.. Their service fees are ridiculously high if one needs only one answer for one specific question and doesn't want to be a regular client. Furthermore, once one is a subscriber (I became one unintentionally), they won't keep you notified about recurrent charges, so it is easy to overlook them. Clearly, that's what they expect their clients to do. This is not the most honest way of making business.

    I have been having an issue with my ear being plugged along with an echo sound for 4 weeks now. I made an appointment with a local ENT that charged $750 for a visit. My deductible is higher than that so I decided to see if I could find an alternative option. I came across Just Answer and thought I’d give it a try. Dr ** called me back within 15 minutes and diagnosed my ear issue after asking me some specific questions about what was happening with my ear. She walked me through what was causing it and most importantly, calmed my anxiety. She followed up with an email and said I can call her if I had any issues or concerns.     I went to the Just Answer website to have a question answered concerning a malfunction in my vehicle. The website states a “fully refundable fee of $5” will be charged to my credit card to access a mechanic’s advice. Input my card info and immediately I was charged $34 plus the $5! I went to the chat to get an explanation of why I was charged $34 in addition to the $5. I was told I was charged for a full month subscription but I could cancel it at any time. I cancelled it and did receive a refund for the $34 but NOT the additional $5. Needless to say I was so upset I didn’t even get to ask my question! I don’t recommend this website to anyone. Deceptive!

    I've always had good experiences with JustAnswers and this time was no different. The bot did everything right as far as apologizing for the vet not responding in a timely manner. The bot had to actually apologize for the lack of response 3 times and on the 3rd it offered me a refund. It issued my refund but then several hours later the vet tried to message me and was acting like there wasn't an issue so either the vet didn't know she was several hours late in replying to my question or just didn't care, either way I felt she should have been the apologizing not the bot

    Jerry **. Worst experience ever. Would not recommend Just Answer at all to anyone. Was told by one of their lawyers with the firm that I could get a full refund for the $65 membership. I was not aware of the fee. They said I was aware. They refused to refund my money. Don’t fall for this scam. Read other bad reviews first.

    This company is very misleading with how they make you think for a one-time question to assist you is only $5, but once you type your question you are automatically enrolled in their membership and will charge you $55. When you call their CS line you get an outsourcing company from the Philippines, they can barely speak a word of English and talk so fast, and are just reading off a script as they repeat the same information, very rude. I asked for a refund and they declined automatically without hearing you out, again just read off a script. Again, do not think that by using them one time it is only $5, as they stated, once you ask or type that question you are locked into a membership, oh and their chat that they provide, they charge you for that too. WORST EVER, WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Sabrina

    I had a question for a veterinarian. I was told that I would be charged $5 (refundable) and then I could ask my question. So I paid. Asked my question. Don’t get any useful information. Then looked at my card statement and saw that I was charged $60. They did refund the $5, but kept $55. I contacted customer service and was told that the $5 was a registration fee, and the $55 was the monthly fee. And since I asked a question, I was not entitled to a refund. I emailed them a couple of times, letting them know that I had disputed the charge because it was completely fraudulent. After that someone did email me back and say they would refund my money. But it took talking with multiple customer service people, and sending 2 emails telling them that I was sending it to my bank's fraud department.

    Beware of this company. They lie about what they’re charging you at first. If I hadn’t checked my account I would never have known about the extra $55. And on top of that, they had signed be up for recurring charges! They would have charged me an additional $55 every month after that. They are not honest about what they’re charging and they sign you up for recurring payments without your knowledge or consent.

    The chatbot I spoke to before speaking with a "doctor" said there was a $5 fee to joining and speak with a doctor. It never bothered to mention that there was a $70 monthly fee included in the same transaction. They knowingly scammed me and then straight up denied it via email. Save yourself $70 and just visit the doctor.

    Just Answer seems to be a good solution for a lot of good things. However they are not a one time answer (& pay for a one time answer) which they advertise. You are duped into a subscription.. which if you needed you might be pleasantly surprised that they could offer. Their agenda seems good.. but their marketing goals are ahead of what consumers understand of them. Like most large concerns with big new ideas Their problem is predictably funding... until they became reasonably profitable.

    Maybe that time is now.. Get your act together & you might become a Titan in the industry. Your agenda is good.. Your financial marketing has sucked. Almost 9,000 complaints in the last 3 years (2400 resolved).     This is a formal complaint. I was apparently misled about the terms of your program. When I asked a question, I gave my credit card number for what I was led to believe there was a $5 fee for asking one question. I was shocked to find a charge of $65 on my card. According to your bot, which locked up 3 times while I was trying to understand this, this was a non-refundable charge? This is a fine-print thing, right? I never received a call from anyone regarding my question. There was no service rendered. The "ask your question" page is spinning, and despite a message stating I can ask the Bot for clarification, there is no place to add anything on that page.  

    I attempted to open another session, on another page, where I asked for a refund, because no services were provided. The first attempt also ended in a frozen screen. I tried a third time and was given a link confirming that my membership had been cancelled, but could not confirm my refund had been issued. The bot sent me an email with a contact number that took me to another bot which confirmed my subscription had been cancelled, but gave no information about the refund I requested. There were no options to speak directly with customer service. The phone line went dead with no options. Please help with this. Thank you.

    I would give this company zero stars if I could. I have repeatedly called and chatted with customer service to cancel my membership, and every time I was reassured that my account was canceled and I would no longer be charged. Despite this, I’ve continued to be billed for months. When I reached out again, they refused to provide a refund and also refused to give me transcripts of my chats or recordings of the phone calls in which they told me the membership was canceled. Because of their negligence and dishonesty, I am now out \$180. This is an awful company that takes advantage of customers, ignores cancellation requests, and offers no accountability.

    I accidentally gave my beloved dog 5 mg of ** (I though it was a pill my Vet had given me to soothe his itchy skin), I was frantic and the Emergency Vet service in Richmond, VA, is TERRIBLE. I was prepared to take my pup, but wanted to first Hear how serious the situation was. The Dr. quickly assured me that considering my dog’s weight and the low dosage, it was very unlike that it would kill him, but then walked me through what I could expect. The primary symptom was that he became very drowsy and glassy eyed, but we were fortunate that he did not have the vomiting or (God forbid) a seizure. The Dr. had told me that was very unlikely. But the thing that struck me was that, after the diagnosis, he offered to keep in touch with me throughout the evening.

    Just before the end of his shift, hours later, I reported to him that the dog was sleeping soundly but breathing normally. I asked her if I should feel comfortable going to sleep myself, and he said yes, While I know now that the dog would have pulled through, I would have been a wreck all evening, and probably would have subjected my dog to sitting in a cage in some dismal ER, while I sat in an awful waiting room for hours into the night. Oh, not to mention the $2000 bill I would have gotten at the end of the ordeal. I only wish I was close enough to Dr. ** to switch tch to him as my primary vet. I love your service! Dennis

    While looking for advice on Windows software, the Microsoft/Windows Support Line passed me off to JUST ANSWER and told me to pay a "Fully Refundable" (whatever that implies) $6.99 fee to that company so I could commence a telephone conversation about the software issue. Using a prepaid credit card, I tried to pay the $6.99 but fortunately my bank in Toronto blocked the payment, and then advised me that they have have complaints about charges from this company. They also told me that JUST ANSWER had attempted, without advising me, nor with my consent, to charge my card $69.00 as an "annual membership fee". Again, I was NEVER informed of, nor asked about, paying this fee. The bank advised I cancel my credit card as a security measure against JUST ANSWER.

    My attempts to reach JUST ANSWER via phone and their Chat Line were refused by the company, who clearly have set up their communications so as to have no accountability on their questionable practices, which at best may be called misleading, but which I would characterize as fraudulent. I have advised my bank that I will dispute any charges from JUST ANSWER. I can have no confidence in any company that uses such underhanded methods to surreptitiously take money from customers.

    I found the site when I did a YouTube search for the issue I was trying to solve. I asked the chatbot (Pearl Chatbot...pretty cute, eh?) what the cost was. She said $5 refundable. OK, I went ahead and was taken to a chatpage with a tech. The tech was informative, but the responses were slow. Probably because he was helping multiple people at a time. Since I was waiting for answers...and waiting...and waiting...I didn't go to my email. When I did, that's when I found out I signed up for a $45/month service. I could cancel at any time, but the first $45 was not refundable. Another site said if I cancelled within 7 days by going to the membership page, it would be refunded since that was the trial period. When I did that, not only did it have the fact that that the $45 was not refundable, but just asking a question about the membership would subscribe me to their $45/month service. No way to speak to a live person...just Pearl Chatbot. This is a scam.

    Got my answer okay and was happy with it, but missed the recurring charge. Now the website where I try to log in will not allow me to reset my password so I can cancel the charge I no longer need. I chatted with the site, and was told someone would call, but nothing. About 10 minutes after writing this, I got the email. Reset my pw and canceled. Be sure you to keep your login info, if you plan on not needing the monthly charge. I was happy with the answer I received.
