    I had no idea that JustAnswer.com is an answer for fees. I wasted time doing a chat then came a reply that I needed to pay $5. The payment form quickly appeared, and I noticed that the fee jumps to $31 for subsequent replies. They claim it's all refundable which I don't know how it could be when you need to furnish credit card info. before you get an answer to your question. And why is this not stated in big bold lettering upfront?! It was very deceptive to me.

    My Honda unexpectedly would not turn over one day -- it had been running great with no indications that an electrical problem may be occurring. I was able to jump it and get to work but had to jump it again to get home. Although I suspected it was my battery I wasn't sure because it was only 8-months old. I put a charger on it for a complete cycle; it lit an indicator showing the charging was complete but also lit the "Bad Battery" indicator. I took the battery back to the location where I purchased it; they tested it and said it was good so they wouldn't exchange it.

    I continued having the issue over the next day or two. So I went to "JustAnswer" and posed my problem to the Honda Mechanics. Doctor D was quick to diagnose the issue and said the battery was bad -- it should be replaced immediately before anything else is done. I jumped my car and went to AutoZone then O'Reilley's auto stores -- both tested the battery and both confirmed Doctor D was correct. I replaced the battery from another dealer -- this solved my problem! I then went and got a full refund for the failed battery. Just Answer saved me a lot of time and money that I could have been wasted trying to find the issue elsewhere.

    I asked a question and got a satisfactory response. Before I agreed to anything I scoured their site for any additional charges and couldn't find any. I paid five dollars which I thought was a one-time fee. One week later I was billed forty six dollars for a membership which I didn't agree to. They told me I had seven days from the original billing to reject the membership, which I never agreed to in the first place. I examined their site thoroughly before paying the original five dollars. I contacted my bank and they deleted the charge. I contacted JustAnswer and they deleted the membership. Keep track of your bank statements.

    They a scam. Reason for saying this is that I was charged $5 to answer a question. 5 months later I realized they deducted $74 a month from my credit card. Never signed any forms or didn’t agree on it. The bank sent me a text about the transaction and that woke me. What for. They couldn’t even help me in the first place!

    I came upon this site while searching for a real state question. This site promises to give you an answer in 24 hrs or less. They ask for $5 deposit and if your question is answered, you would get a $30 charge. I never got a question but was charged $46 for a membership I did not want or ordered.     I went on JustAnswer using a FREE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP and got remote assistance for another $5 after refusing the $39 first offer. The tech did some stuff and left me to wait for a download and we disconnected from the remote assistance. Hours later I tried to reach the tech because he did not finish the job and called JustAnswer to get what I thought was just going to be the $5 because the problem was not solved but when I went into My Account I had numerous charges. They charged me the full rate for the remote assistance and a membership fee and more.

    So I figured I would milk it for the few days and then saw a "Take advantage of your $5 membership by asking more questions in 150+ categories. You can even ask questions for your family and friends." So I called to look into that deal but I was challenged with, "You on a $5 membership so you can't have that" I told them I am on a Free 7 day trial, he told me the Free trial is $5! Ummm... so when did free become $5? So I looked at My Account and saw no $5 fee for the Free Trial but I apparently can't get the $5 Membership. All in all stay away because there is too much deception. Also the site is unsecure as well. I notice in the address bar.

    Their offer to help with a computer problem began with a proposed $5 charge. When the problem was solved, I was suddenly billed $39.95. That in my opinion is Deception and Fraud. There was no opportunity to reject their help, only a quick solution to my problem and the instant charge.

    I had a problem with my washing machine and when I googled it I got someone right away from JustAnswer and 'for $5 we will have someone answer your question', so I thought it might be worth a try. All I got was "The appliance technician is working on your question and will respond on this page and via email" and it was supposed to be 24/7. Well almost 3 hours later and I have heard nothing. All I want now is a refund and to NOT get in the loop of being charged for a monthly service. I am super disappointed and think this a crock of lies. If you can help great, but if you can't don't lie. I already wrote them to remove me and stop any charges... I will wait to see what they do. I hope they do the right thing.

    I asked a question about my dog and the estimated wait time said 8 minutes for 60 minutes. In that time my dog could have been taken to an emergency vet. My dog died!     So I had the airbag light coming on in my car and wanted answers as to what I should do. They charge your CC 20.00 so first warning sign is going up. I wait hours for a response and finally contact customer service. I ask for my money back and then the backtracking starts. "Oh sometimes it takes longer to get an answer..." That is not the point. I entered a contract with them that they would charge me and answer within a given amount of time.     I was looking for help online with a Microsoft problem and ended up on Just Answer thinking it was Microsoft. They offered a chat line and asked for the problem. Very soon they asked for $5. which I gave them credit card information for. They couldn't answer my problem but said for $65. they could provide an expert to answer. I said no to this, went offline and thought it was over. Received a billing on my credit card 3 days later for $65 which I am now disputing. Have phoned them to complain and find they have a second billing of $85 in the works. I never asked for any of this and have now clearly asked them to cancel any membership they have, which I never asked for in the first place. They say they have now done so and are reimbursing me. Stay away from Just Answer!

    I have never used this service but checking my disability account I saw a charge for $29.00 today. Needless to say they have been charging my account for 9 months!!! Like I said I'm on disability and I can't afford this. They owe me $261.00. When I called them they said they would turn it over to somebody else that would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. She asked me if I wanted to cancel... I NEVER JOINED!!! I think it's horrible how websites like this prey on older people. They know this wasn't me.     I am a 20 year old Law student. I came only JustAnswer to ask questions on my health as it was affordable and quick, as there said that I could get a response within minutes. Well, I did not. I waited for about 3 days and I did not get a response from the doctor. With that, I cancelled my subscription. This was in February. Just yesterday I was checking through my bank account transactions as I do that every half a year and I was shocked to find out that I have been billed the whole time.

    Upset, I spoke to customer service and she were reluctant to refund me. There is even evidence that I have not logged in at all after that one question. She even doubted that I cancelled it at all and asked me how I did it. I am 20 and a Law student at that, I'm sure I know how to cancel subscriptions and read Terms and Conditions. I was fully aware. However, it is not my fault that there was a technical issue. It is unfair for me to pay $271.86 for a service I did not even receive/ use!!!

    I did tell the service staff that I will still pay the USD5 as I did ask a question, but the $271! I told her and she said that she could only refund me 4 months worth. She said policy is that they can only refund up to 30 days but why should I bear the consequences of the website??? I am very upset about this. This is close to extortion. Hoping I can be refunded the other month and some other charges that the customer service did not explain to me when I asked nicely. I have all the screenshots. Hope this changes and no one goes through this. Especially not a student who just needs some advice.

    Asking a question for $5 is actually putting your credit card into a system at JustAnswer that does not let you remove it. You are in a 7 day loop, where you will be charged $46 for a membership. Emails that may warn you of this go to your junk mail box and if you did not catch this extra fine print when you asked your question, your SAVED card will be AUTO charged. I Just Happened to be looking through my junk mail and discovered that I had one day to go before being charged, and when I logged in, I could not remove my credit card information. I was able to cancel, but I am really upset that my credit card remains. I've requested to close my account, but still have security concerns. When a consumer removes their card, there can be no question of their intentions. I find the business model at JustAnswer NOT WORTH the answer, no matter how excellent - and especially after paying $5 for it, anyway.

    This website does not work! The process is too complex to be practical. It is just a money vacuum. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PAYMENT INFORMATION!!! I needed to find a part number for a circuit timer. I had been linked (not by choice) to them by another website. After the ordeal of my payment & personal info I was finally able to ask my question. Then I had to go thru another process to get my answer via text on my phone; why? I was already logged onto their website. Then it was supposed to go to my email. That didn't work either. I never got my answer. I canceled immediately. I have to check my card account now to make sure I did not get charged. It will be War if I did! Do not fall victim to these people.

    I also was under the impression it would cost me $5 for help with my RV. The "expert" recommended that I contact the factory or dealer - (no credit given for already doing that one) So - I ended up finding my answer via YouTube and Google. NOW I see I got charged $34.00 via my checking account. I immediately cancelled my "membership" and am hoping they don't take any more money from me. The RV mechanic did reply to my question so I guess it is an expensive lesson learned- don't believe what sites advertise for their rates, etc. I work for a very large corporation so will be sure to spread the word about this site!!

    When I stumbled across this website it said a free answer, then it was pay $5 and after that's paid they then take another $64 without consent and meanwhile they don't send you an answer within a reasonable time frame. Your free question doesn't exist, the scam is once they have your credit card they have an open access to your account. And they will take as much as they can, between the subscription that generates automatically, and them taking whatever they please, sure I will get the money back eventually but the thieving scum shouldn't have touched my account period other than the agreed $5 and even that was only suppose to be if I had additional questions.

    Updated on 06/21/2018; Just Answer for the record, @ no stage did you get permission to take an additional $64 and within seconds of paying the $5 to post question an additional $64 was taken. After paying the $5 it said once paid it will transfer me to a legal practitioner, I reasoned to talk straight to a legal advisor it may be worth the $64 and posted the question, only to be they will get back to me with an answer. To me that ain't worth $64 so I closed the account and never bothered with the answer. It had already taken the $64 despite saying it will be another $64 if they answer and I like the answer. They have refunded the $5 but for some reason the $64 remains unrefunded, my account was closed hours before they decided to answer and at no stage did they have any authority to take the $64 but that never stopped them.

    Updated on 06/27/2018: To begin with JustAnswer refunded the $5, after waiting a few weeks, I had to call for them to refund the $64 they had no right to take. At no stage did they have authority to take the $64 and I would have thought when refunding the $5 they would have automatically replaced the money they took after my account was closed. Had I not called them they most likely would have never refunded the money.

    JustAnswer are crooks, avoid them. I fell into trap of ask a question about your car for $5.00. The question never got answered, they put me on wait forever, and next day they charged my account for $35.00, that was never authorized. Please do not fall into trap of $5.00, once they get your card number they will start charging you $35.00 per month.     I was using the antiques section and had multiple items. The expert advised me that I needed to send questions for the items individually. The system advised that I lump like items together. I did as the expert asked - I sent them separately. I had four different types of porcelain bowls and plates and the system said that I had asked a similar question and was I sure I wanted to continue - I knew they were different so I selected yes to continue. Will I was working toward completion of questions - I received a notice from PayPal advising me that JustAnswer had canceled me. When I called JustAnswer - they informed me that PayPal had canceled. After multiple phone calls to both JustAnswer and to PayPal, I finally ascertained that JustAnswer had canceled my membership and when pushed they admitted that there was a limit for each month.

    I pay for the system monthly and some months don't ask any questions. Now they have apologized and told me I could open a new account but could neither keep my old one nor keep the information from that in my account. They blame PayPal. See a portion of their answer to me: "Unfortunately, when the billing of a membership is tied to PayPal, once the membership has been revoked there is nothing that we can do to restore the billing. If you would like to ask questions on the membership program, you will need to open a new account on the site.

    When you have done this you can opt into the membership from that point. If you do decide to open up a new account, please bookmark/favorite answers you have positively rated from this current account (for future access), then let us know that you're ready to have the account closed.     Get peace of mind with unlimited* answers for all your tv questions. I have a 2008 Samsung digital TV that's worked great all these years on cable and, recently, with a Roku Streaming Stick +. I cut cable 10 days ago, and now I get an HDCP error. I've reset the display to 1080p and then to 720p, so it won't try to read everything as 4k, but it still gives me the error. Because, clearly, the answers were canned (an easy $5), and the whole thing seems to be an attempt to get you to have them call you because you're frustrated, and they get more of your money. Also, they initially put through a charge of $19 on my credit card, which is nearly 4 times the $5 charge the site eventually tells you about. And if you want to rate the experience, you are required to rate the person 3 stars or above to give him/her credit. Seriously? For wasting $5 and my time? Ripoff. I copied the whole thing so I could report it somewhere.

    Was on the Google site trying to figure out how to stop the Google popups on my smartphone. Things are moving along slowly when all of sudden a message pops up that says you have joined Just Answer. I did not think about it much at the time but later I found two charges on my credit card, one for $5 and one for $39. Unless Google gave them my card number I have no idea how all this happened and for all this money I did not even get my question answered. I did find out how they stay out of jail with this SCAM. When you call their customer support they are all peaches and cream and refund your money fairly easily. What a way to make a living.

    This was my first time using this site. The technician was polite and got back to me within 24 hours. There is a $5 charge to ask a question and then when they respond with a solution, they charge an additional $29. After exchanging 3-4 emails, and explaining the issue a couple of times, as they asked, he comes back with "if it's over a year old, it would cost more to repair." He could have said that immediately and not dragged this out, as I had told him I'd changed out the battery about a year ago. If that's the kind of answer they're going to give, it's definitely not worth the additional $29.

    First of all 1 week and nobody answered. They transferred me to another lawyer to answer a question, took another week nobody answered then all of a sudden they deducted 75 USD FROM MY ACCOUNT without notice/permission I send an email regarding the matter. Nobody even bothered emailing me back. Just answer is rubbish. Never ever will use your service again!!! Oh and I still did not get the answer to jack **!!! Asked for a refund. Complete ignorance.

    I Googled about a port's pin-out for an electronic device. Didn't find the answer, but wound up on JustAnswer.com. Hmmm... $5 for an answer? Sounds fishy, but read and understand everything before authorizing payment. It was hard to get to the point where you typed your question, because of all the offers for faster answers (for more money), but finally I reached where I could type the question. The important thing for me to thoroughly read EVERYTHING to understand what I obligating myself too... and that was $5. I didn't accept ANY "upgraded plans."

    I submitted the question, day or two went by, and the answer was in the form of a person who had just "logged on" and "saw" my question. He/she asked if I still needed the question answered that late. I replied "no help needed" since I'd already experimented with, and figured out the correct pin-out. End of story. Or... not? Caution born of experience suggested I check my credit card transactions. I did. The $5 charge was there, but on the following day, and without explanation or my consent/knowledge, JustAnswer.com had ran another charge through the card... this time for $29.00.

    I began to initiate a chargeback and probably should have, but gave the kind folks 24-hours to return the money. I'll check the account tomorrow and take it from there. Either way, I'm in no mood about this to argue. My biggest worry, founded or unfounded, is continued charges anytime in the future. The latest practice with some companies is to wait six month or a year, then add the accumulated monthly charges into a whopping sum. It works; most people can be talked into paying at least a portion of the sum. Doesn't "half-price" of anything sound great?

    Here's the response I finally got for those two fees: "Welcome to JustAnswer! My name is Harry and I am happy to be assisting you today. My sincerest apologies that it took so long for someone to reply. I've just logged in and saw your question waiting and I'm happy to assist you.
