I honestly signed up for this service because I seen it on advertisement on the internet. Honestly I can't afford the monthly price and only sign up for it for the free trial and now that I'm trying to say I've spent three hours going through all different questions. I have in my life going through everything you're talking to different doctors getting different advice and I'm so impressed is completely happy with the service. I wish I could keep the membership but I just bought a house and I can't afford it. I will so very much recommend this website. I talked to a different doctors among all the other people that I talk to you today about different Behavior concerns I have with my puppy and the doctors were so down to earth and it actually felt like they cared about my concerns???? Im so impressed and grateful for everybodys advice/help!!

They finally showing their scam today. Glad I was looking out for them. I also had some body get me a message I had won 150000 dollars. All I have to do is send them 1200 dollars. I block the person that messenger me about the thin on messenger. Ingot called some terrible names almost like the steam card scam you got Last week. I am tired of this. Get a another answers yes no maybe. Oh one guy still loves me. Today he asked me to get his money from his account 37 000 for his daughter's and 150000 for equipment for the job in India.

I was locked out of my email of Microsoft Outlook because I had to change my password for my Internet provider. I could not figure out how to change the password in Outlook by myself. I tried to call Microsoft but could never talk to a person. On their customer service page they said if you want a quick answer to call JustAnswer and gave your phone number. I did an online chat and your technician fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. Thanks so much. It’s very important for me to access my email through Outlook.

I am a senior with few tech skills. I contacted what appeared to be the ways to get an answer to my problem of a show I paid for suddenly not showing up. Zero replies! When I found Just Answer it took a while but they gave simple to understand possible solutions (ie., if that doesn't work try this...) and sure enough I will soon be happily watching the next episode.

Be very careful. There are some good review on here but there is an element of a scam. Six months ago I asked a vet a couple of questions as part of the 7-day trial offer. I was ok with the professionalism of the questions. I never saw a disclaimer saying if I didn't cancel the trial I would charged $29 a month for membership. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. My husband and I both have major health concerns; he's been In out of the hospital and I didn't check my bank account until Today.
I discovered I have been charged for six months, $180. I explained and asked for a credit but they would only give me the last three months. This is how they make money... People don't realize you have made a monthly commitment and they take $29 a month out of your bank account without you realizing it. I would be willing to bet that is how they make most of their money...which is a scam!

Using just the $5 texting service, Austin was able to analyze my refrigerator issue and saved me a few hundred dollars. Replaced the emitter instead of the motor, which was recommended by two other services. Would definitely use this service again!

There was a conflicting issue with an inheritance as to whether or not my children could contest and inherit part of my real estate. One side said they could (based on a 50/50 split), the other said no, IF the property was in title as Joint Tenants. The later was, in fact, so, and the issue was resolved very fast with Debra who cleared the matter up decisively and fast. Her answer also agreed completely with my sister-in-law, who as a Notary Public, supported this result. I really appreciate this professional service for the price I had to pay, especially as an 80-year old senior who has limited funds for an in-face consultation.

It's pretty amazing to be able to be directed to a medical specialist who will take the time and answer all of your questions without being in a rush to leave.... Rather than use the talk on the phone option, I chose the chat option because I was cooking dinner at the time and by texting I could multitask. The first doctor I spoke with did not know the answers to my questions, so he deferred to another doctor, and when she came on, she really knew her stuff.
The medical specialist responded to my text messages quickly, and I would say that we had a back and forth for probably for well over an hour...perhaps closer to two hours. I could ask as many questions as I wanted and she would answer as well as volunteering information that I had not thought of, which would allow me to ask even more questions that I had not anticipated asking. She wanted to be sure that I fully understood what she was saying. Not being rushed is amazing!
The understanding of my complaint was greatly enhanced as a result of our back and forth, and the anxiety I had been experiencing due to my lack of knowledge on the subject was greatly reduced as a result. This is a Great service and if I have questions on other subjects, I'll definitely remember this valuable resource! I chose the fastest response and the most detailed information selection, so for $54, I'm very satisfied.

First of all, Dustin stuck with me during the migration ordeal created by M/S OneDrive to port a Win 7 64-bit CPU to Win 10 64-bit CPU.So very many unnecessary problems were needlessly created by the OneDrive product with lingering hooks into both of my computers. The apparently "effortless" suggestion from M/S to use OneDrive for a straightforward migration was anything but. Dustin softened the level of frustration by offering an understanding demeanor and solid technical expertise to navigate me through and get me out of the weeds. Having severe leg pain for 6 days. Your rep stated that I should not have such intense pain. Will go to third dr today to have it checked. Your rep stated that I possibly have a pinched nerve in addition to DVT because DVT would most likely not cause severe pain. Really helpful and will see primary today at 11:30.

I had trouble in reverse and turning corners. Eventually it wouldn't move and had to be towed to a place to check out. The 4-wheel drive locked up (it wasn't turned on) and the differentials were worn out. Due to your knowledge I was told it would be dangerous to drive in case of a sudden stop. The truck was taken in for a second opinion as suggested.

Within an hour of finishing yard work, my 65lb 1 year old dog turned lethargic and refused food, a first! It was a Saturday evening and I was panicked! The vet on Just Answer responded so quickly, suggested a course of action, and stayed with us until my pup was back to his old self. Seemed to be gastritis from eating something in the yard. My 8 month old English bulldog ate Duraflame logs. Doc Paul answered the call and helped me get through this. The logs are not toxic but the wood in it can constipate the pup. The doctor assured me and recommended to feed her pumpkin for the next few days. He is still helping me monitor her on this second day. I signed up, intending to ask questions only for a single question. The answer to my question about socializing cats was good, but not great. I forgot to cancel, and they started taking $30 out of my account monthly, with NO reminders. If you take money out of my account, I expect an email the week prior and/or an email receipt.

A fraudulent credit card was opened in my name and a $15k bill has been racked up on it. For months I’ve been going back and forth with the bank who is trying to hold me liable. I was given very clear information on how to proceed by the lawyer I spoke to and feel much more confident that I cannot be strong armed with the evidence I have supporting my claim of fraud.

JustAnswer promotes a single answer but then continues to bill at $46 a month. It has taken me 4 months and over $150 to stop the billing. Do not get enmeshed in this scam unless you want to spend hours trying to stop the billing.

This is absolutely a terrible place to go if you need help for a pet in distress. I Googled for some kind of help for my dog who was having problems and of course this happened on a weekend after hours so finding an actual vet was going to be hard and expensive. Found Justanswer.com and started a conversation about my dog and was told an "expert" would be with me soon. I looked to see how long it would be and it said approximately 8 minutes. It has now been over 8 hours and I have received NOTHING. I implore you to find some other means of help if you have an animal in distress. I still have a dog in trouble and this website was absolutely no help at all other than to take my money.

Used JustAnswer for a question I had. $5 was the charge to ask the question for an answer. Just noticed they have been hitting my account for $34 each month since April. Called the company and was told they will only refund 3 months. They took $270 from my account and refunded only $102. They told me they sent an email telling me my trial period was over which I never received. But I received the emails on the 3 months refunds they sent me in my inbox. They still owe me $170. This is a SCAM to get your money.

I used JustAnswer one time for the supposed fee of 1 dollar... Apparently I signed up for monthly membership so I was charged after the 7 days for consecutive services 34.00 a month. I called Customer service only to reach someone in the Philippines that offered no way for a refund even though it was recorded that I never used Justanswer past the 1st question I spent 1 dollar for nor did I ever even login to the supposed account that I had.

Never received notification that trial period ended. They just keep billing. Legal? I think not. When I did need the service no response for 14 hours during which the system kept trying to charge me. Told I would get a refund for the 6 months of premiums the company stole. Nothing yet on that front. If you need a vet go to an emergency animal hospital. If you have used this service and experienced what I have I urge you to contact your State Attorney General's Office and file a formal complaint.

I didn't receive help after paying and asking my question. After a couple of hours someone asked if I still needed help. Since I was all done cleaning up by this point (the problem not even addressed) I asked for some possible troubleshooting ideas for when I got back into the project. To this end I got messages saying someone's working on it, but no actual response and it's been over 24 hrs.

I paid $5.00 for a trial weeks membership. I asked my question. I cancelled the membership the next day. I was then billed $30 for each of the next 2 months. When I called a person identified as ROME stated that I was never billed. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. BEWARE, ONCE THEY GET YOU CREDIT CARD PAYMENT INFO, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU!

Signed up for JustAnswer with their free trial. Their tech contacted me. He told me to do all the things I had already. He was trying to be helpful. He had no clue about the problem which is okay and then he said he would ask other techs at work the next day and get back to me. He never did. Then the barrage of emails started. Begging for tips and surveys. Over and over. I sent emails asking them to stop and they said they would. Next day here they come again and then the next day and now my comment. I would NEVER recommend this company because the tech did not really offer any real solution, never got back to me and they ABUSE the EMAIL process.

I was scammed by these guys. They make it very unclear what you are buying and getting for your service. I used it once. Very unsatisfied with service, and they would not refund money. $46 a month, plus $.10 every time you ask a question and confusing membership rules makes this site a rip-off.

I accessed their site when it stated it's only $5 for asking a question & which wasn't even resolved! Then I was charged for a hefty membership fee. I didn't even sign up. Thereafter they even charged me a second charge the following month for doing nothing! If this is not a scam, I would want to know what it is! Unless I'm refunded for the monies unknowingly deducted from my bank account, I'll keep posting on all review sites regarding this very bad experience! I will not allow it to continue taking people for a ride!!!

SCAM ALERT - DO NOT USE JUST ANSWER! I signed up for the trial back in July. After being unimpressed with the legal advice I received, so I canceled right away on Jul 5 2019. Unfortunately, JustAnswer is not to be trusted. When they say they have canceled your subscription, they do not. Several months later, I realized I was still being charged $53.00 a month. If there was a mistake, I should have received a reminder email one day before being billed as the website promises, but never received any reminder before the end of my trial period. I'm sure that's part of the scam. I have notified my bank of the fraudulent charges. SCAM Company - RUN!

I foolishly paid $5 for an answer to a question thnking this was a company I had bought a product from.. Apparently this makes me a member and there is an ongoing charge of $66. I had advised them I was not a member after receiving a deluge of emails, but nevertheless their advice came. I was to be charged $66 on 25/10/2019. I had already cleared funds from the account after realizing my mistake. I had consigned any further emails to junk but looking in that folder I get the notice about the charge. I have advised my bank and asked them to let me know if there is an authorised charge attempted on my account. BEWARE.

About two months ago I decided to give this site a try in regards to finding parameters for a Cam Retard PID value for a scan tool program that I use. The site put me in touch with one of their automotive technicians/"experts" and I had to explain to the guy multiple times how to adjust the timing on my vehicle via a Cam Retard value. I repeatedly explained it to him before he finally understood and started doing internet searches... Hold up. You advertise your support techs as experts and he's googling stuff? I don't need to pay someone to Google stuff I've already googled myself.
Long story short my question was never resolved and they keep charging my bank account $40/month for their "expert" services, which are garbage. I have reached out to the company via email and am awaiting a response from them and reimbursement before I contact my bank for fraudulent charges. Had they answered my question, I would have no problem paying a one time fee for a resolved problem, but now I'm locked into a subscription service that is completely useless because I figured out the problem on my own. I don't want to pay $40/month for someone to Google automotive remedies. I can do that for free myself.

In looking at the conversation it looks like what you were looking for was a programming parameter for a store-bought scanning tool, of which there are hundreds that are made by different manufacturers. The scan tool that you were using is not one that is typically used by professional mechanics, and the information that you were looking for, to program the device, is typically provided by the manufacturer for free.

My 16 year old son who has a learning disability was uploading the Walking Dead series onto his X-box via his microsoft account. He simply wanted to know more info about the series. Disappointingly he was directed to "Just Answer." On the 14 October 2019, he paid $5 (Trial) for his question about the Walking Dead series which they were unable to clarify anyway.
On the 15 October "JustAnswer" with drew $55.77 and again on the 22.10.19 another $66. I am now going to the fraud of our bank to dispute this and assist my son. The $126 that JustAnswer has taken from his account has deeply impacted him as he had to work for $11 per hour to save his money. Taking advantage of minors for money is just grubby and I will be making a point as a parent to follow this to the full extent of the law. Pauline **, Australia

I searched online regarding issues related to my dog's hip issues. Someone picked up my question, responded, forwarded to a vet before I actually knew what site I was dealing with. After the fact I was duped into their 7 day trial, they were supposed to have notified me prior to the end of the trial. I never received the email, realized they had charged me for a full month without my authorization. I called to cancel today, requested a reimbursement for the unauthorized charge and was refused. This site is fraudulent, do your own research and avoid this site all together. Unethical across the board.

I called JustAnswer with a question. Fee $5. One week later a $50.01 deduction from my bank acct was made by them called a membership fee. After calling their customer service, I was told the $5 was a Trial fee and after 7 days if you dont cancel then their membership fee kicks in, automatically from your acct. I did not sign up for the Trial or the Membership. And why would you need a membership for a service like this anyway? They refuse to refund the $50.01. They told me they would cancel future withdrawals (how nice of them). But they probably will bill me again. I think this is a fraud and a scam! BEWARE.

I used the service twice but did not want membership. However they kept charging my account. I have now called 3 times, asked for a Manager and have still not resolved the issue months later. FTC will be hearing from me. This is a service where, if you have a valid question on just about anything and they will check it out and reply with the answer. Can be a valuable asset if they’d get their act together.

Beware of this website as they are cheaters. I signed up for their trial membership and after that I didn't use their service. I forgot to cancel their service after the trial period so I called them regarding the charge and asked them to refund the money as I didn't use their service at all. They told me that they cannot refund the money because they send me an email regarding the charge. I told them that I haven't received any kind of email from them. So, they told me, "If that's the case then we can refund the money" but after some time they came back telling me that refund will not be issued according to their terms and conditions (even if they haven't send the email about the charge). Don't trust this people at all. They are looters.

Once they get into your bank account you will find money that is withdrawn by JustAnswer. I was totally surprised and horrified to find money withdrawn. When I tried to cancel, I had to jump through too many hoops. They will not answer your questions and will do anything to keep you from canceling your subscription. In my personal opinion, this site is set up to scam you out of your hard earned money.

I signed up for a trial membership for a specific question. It was stated at the end of the trial I would be asked if I would want to continue. Yes, they sent me an email that at the very bottom of page stated that if I wanted "to pass up" a membership to click HERE. Click HERE asks what question I want to ask from a lawyer, mechanic, Dr. vet., etc. No way to click NO THANKS. After discovering that they are charging me $34. I called and they said NO WAY TO REFUND money. In all fairness to the person who answered my only question during the "free trial" he was prompt and knowledgeable.

They answered my question on 9/16. I was told I had a certain number of days to cancel which I did on 9/16. I called them on 10/8 when a $25.00 charge showed on my bank statement. The gentleman I spoke with said his name was "Men" and he spelled it. He stated yes they showed I cancelled it. He said the date was 9/15 (the day BEFORE?? I had the trial??).. He then said I again had services on 9/18 and they "got" into my computer. I did ask a question which was related to what the tech had told me on 9/16 which did not resolve what he said it would. I did this with the understanding given on 9/16 that follow-up on the same question was covered at no charge. I did not agree to further payment although he said I did.
Interestingly, I was hacked soon after that with charges on my account which I had not agreed to which we were unable to identify. I can't say it was them, but they obviously still had my debit card. Since then I have changed the card number. I read other reviews and found others had similar problems. I had accessed this site under email help not Just Answer. I didn't check the reviews before continuing to get help. I should have known better. I regret having contacted them in the first place.

I reset my desktop Windows 10. It said I had to use a two step verification, which I never set. When I tried to enter the password, it was incorrect. So I asked for help. I paid the $5 and sent to a Rahul. He asked what was my first name and I told him, and then I waited, waited and waited and waited. No response. So I tried again with a different technician, same thing. I want my money back!!

I was experiencing scary symptoms and needed to talk to a doctor. I used JustAnswer and paid them for that 1 question I had. I paid $5 and got the same answers that are available online. The doctor was nice but he did not offer any new information and told me to go see the doctor or visit an emergency room. A month letter I got billed $46 for a membership.
I was sick and need help from a doctor. It turned out that by paying $5 to get an answer for 1 question I was signed up for a membership. I did not use any more services and still was not able to get a refund. People that need emergency help from a doctor are in distress and are being used at a very vulnerable time! This did not worth $5 and a special does not worth $46!

I have recently switched from DirecTV to local channels and using the video section on Amazon Prime. We kept seeing unsavory photos in the Prime advertising box at the top and wondered if I could turn it off or block it. I found nothing in internet searches so I tried to contact Amazon and was redirected to JustAnswer. I went through all the chat nonsense, paid my dollar and was told there was nothing I could do about it. I thought it was over but a few weeks later, I get a text from my credit card saying JustAnswer billed me $46. What? I didn't recall anything saying I was opted in to a monthly membership. I called to get it cancelled and after a long conversation, the agent said the pending charge would not be activated and it would fall off. I am quite disappointed in Amazon for using a questionable service like JustAnswer in place of supporting their own products.

Well, I'm not sure whether I should feel better about being far from the only person who has been ripped off by fraudulent "membership" charges or be even more infuriated that this "business"/scam even exists! Add my name to the list of those who found a fraudulent charge of $28 appearing on their credit card. I am on the phone right now with one of their representatives in order to cancel the "membership" that I never committed to AND in order to demand a refund for that fraudulent charge. My next call will be to my credit card company to ensure that the refund is issued and that this company is blocked from EVER appearing on my credit card again!!
UPDATE: Just having finished my phone call with the company's representative, I have been assured that the $28 will be refunded, and I have received a confirmation email from them to support this conclusion. I nonetheless stand by my position that the best course of action that any potential "trial user" can follow is to AVOID using Just Answer. Unfortunately, the business model is clearly predicated in a bait-and-switch methodology.

On Sep 23 I clicked on JustAnswer for a trial one question for $5.00 with 50 cents going to charity. I gave them my debit card info. I never filled out a membership form with a password etc. I wasn't going to risk more than the $5.00 for the one question. Then I typed in the nature of my question with the make and model of my refrigerator and submitted it on the chat box. A response said someone would be in touch with me within a few days with an answer and asked for my e-mail and cell phone #. I was disappointed that my question was not answered right then and figured I had been scammed, I left the site and did not return to it. I didn't expect to hear anything back from them. A day or so later I got a text message from them saying the make and model I gave them were not correct.
I did not respond because I knew that was not true and it only confirmed to me that it was a scam and they had no intentions to answer my question. They sent another text saying this would be much easier over the phone, for an additional $26. I did not reply and deleted the message. Later when I was doing some online banking I saw they had charged my account the 4.50 and five other charges of .10 cents each for the charities I assume. I thought that was the price I paid for allowing them to scam me. But then they charged me 28.00 on Sep 29. I called the number listed on my bank statement to complain about the company and the charge. I was told all charges for membership were non refundable. I told them I never signed up for membership.
They said in accepting the $5.00 offer for one question I was automatically accepting membership as well. So I demanded my so called membership be canceled immediately. They said well, "We can still answer your question. Your membership is good for another month." I said I just wanted it canceled and I wanted my money back. They responded that all membership charges are nonrefundable. So I called my bank and put in a dispute against them and I am writing this here and I will be in touch with the B.B.B. And my Attorney General. I will have my card changed so they can't continue to steal from me.

Paid with credit card. They wanted $39.00 more to fix the problem by remote connection. I said, "No just send me the information I requested". They dropped the price to $17.00 and I still said no. They they kept switching me to various other agents and they wanted to fix the problem by remote for a fee. This is just another ripoff company. STAY AWAY!!!!

I soon realized I was talking to an automated AI because they came back with the same question. "What model faucet do you have". I purchased one answer for one fee of near $40, seven days later and every month after, I was fraudulently charged. No such reoccurring charge fee was mentioned on any web paged I used to submit my question or pay for my answer. I had to contact my credit card company to retract the fraudulent charges. Popped my question onto JustAnswer UK site after paying my deposit into my account. I get response from an expert Gavin? Not sure what his credentials are. Certainly didnt see or recognise any. Hoping for detailed response. I'm asked for my personal phone number right off the bat, not sure why! All I want is written explanation to have at hand, I give him my mobile number? Nothing. No call! All I get is text message saying, "I will call you but first I need £50 paid into this account via PayPal for my expert help away from this site." At that point I blocked the number and deleted my justanswer account..complete and utter scam!

JustAnswer gives the impression that you can "cancel anytime" online, thereby avoiding additional charges. I have "cancelled" online, I have made phone calls. They continue to withdraw from my account. I have filed a complaint Better Bureau, and will continue to write about my experience online wherever I have an opportunity. JustAnswer is a scam. Once they have access to your account - they will continue to withdraw from it. I may have to open a new account to prevent them from taking additional funds from me. Nothing more than robbery.

I’ve been a member for years and only used the service a handful of times. Months ago I asked a question, no one answered so I reposted and they closed out my question because “I already asked that question”. I asked again and they closed my account for abusing their service. I mainly use the site for antique questions and they informed me that their “unlimited” questions was good if I asked in different categories but I kept asking antique questions and I wasn’t supposed to ask over 15 question per billing cycle.
After my blood pressure went down they offered to reduce my monthly fee so I begrudgingly rejoined. I only used it once this summer (health question) & 2 months later I have an antique question. Guess what? They said I already asked that question then closed it out so no one could answer! As far as customer service.... you will get connected but your issue will not be resolved. When it works, the service is great. Just pray you never have a problem.

They offer you consultation with experts, which can have some value -- depending on which expert you get. What they don't tell you is EVERY WORD YOU WRITE IS PUBLISHED ON THEIR WEBSITE. Also, you have no way of knowing the specialty or the credentials of the expert you're connected with -- so don't be too trusting in the information they give you. Their "chat" person seems to be a bot. No real person would provide the dull responses I was given.
You are told you can ask all the questions you want; what you are not told is that your "expert" will just stop answering them. You are told you can get a second opinion. But I asked for one and did not get one. The bottom line is: the site MAY help you in a limited way, but USE WITH CAUTION. Don't write anything you wouldn't yell from a rooftop -- and don't believe everything you're told.

I have never contracted with you as a member, however, somehow, you got my credit card and charges to it for a total of $111.00: 07/09/2019 for $4.50, .10, .10, .10, .10, .10; and 07/16/2019 for $53.00; and 08/16/2019 for $53.00. It only stops when I found out and contact credit card to stop the charge. I have contacted the JustAnswer and asked to refund my $111.00 and the answer is "NO". This group of people is BAD and rip off $111.00 from me for no reason. So be careful when you deal with them. It said: "100% money-back guarantee. If you aren’t happy for any reason, we’ll refund your money. No questions asked." It is a lie. If you need more information let me know at "**".

I used JustAnswer for a veterinary question. I felt $5 was a fair price for a simple question. Thought I was done. For 3 months JustAnswer charged my account $28 a month for membership! When I called I was told they sent me an email stating my trial membership was over and I’m now enrolled! I immediately cancelled! Of course no refund so that goes to show how their 100% satisfaction guarantee works! A legitimate company would send a welcome email, and a receipt for payment! Not them, they just hope you don’t notice them charging you! I could have went to the vet for what they charged for a simple question! Stay away! It’s sad these types of businesses are operating!

I had a problem with my printer, I googled it and I found this scam company called Just Answer, as advertising. I noticed that the question costs only $1.00, so, I asked the question. I received a general answer that doesn't solve my problem and I've already knew it. I Thought that the story ended there, but I discovered that they charged me via my debit card $46.00. The cost of a membership that I didn't signed for. I call their CS and they refused to refund me. I decided to give the information to my lawyer and denounce that legally. I read here many stories, so if somebody else here guys wants to be in the court with me against these thieves, please let me know. The cost of the lawyer will be less if we will be a group. Please contact me on this email: ** or on my personal number **. You don't have to worry about it. It's a scam company and they're stealing honest persons' money. THEY ARE A GROUP OF BAD THIEVES.

I had a Google search for help with HP Driver on my HP laptop. I get get someone who said he would help me. I thought I was talking to Hewlett Packard. Further into the conversation I was asked to give them my personal information for their record of my account. Not until then did I realize I was talking to a guy from JustAnswer and it wanted me to pay $1 to get my help. I never read anything else. After waiting for emails back and forth while he tried to help me, I finally figured it out myself and emailed him to tell him never mind.
Later that night I received another email from him with a HP link to get a new driver. Which I didn't need but I said thank you and goodbye. After a couple of days I got another email from him asking why I hadn't downloaded the new driver he provided for me. I told him I would get to it later. The next thing I knew a got a notice from my bank of a charge for $46. I called and asked for the money to be refunded back to my bank and after listening to her (Rosalee) tell me about how I should have known by the information on their website and from an email telling me they had signed me up as a membership and charged me $46, I told her I never went to a website and hadn't got a membership email and all I wanted was my $46 refunded. She said she was sorry but she was unable to do that but that she had cancelled my membership so I wouldn't be charged anymore.
I told her I didn't know I was going to be charged the first time. I asked to speak with a supervisor so she put me on HOLD FOR A LONG TIME. Then came back and said the supervisor was busy and would call me back within 10 minutes. That was 51 minutes ago and no one has called me back. Just another ripoff from this SCAMMER company. I am 70 years old and live on Social Security and I can't afford to pay the $46 and I really need it refunded. I think this is a deceptive company and I hope other new customers will read this along with all the other reviews talking about this RIPOFF JUSTANSWER company. It's now been over an hour and no supervisor has called me back. Really upset that this happened to me and they cheated me out of $46.

I purchased a consultation service for legal advice for a fee of $5 that automatically enrolls you in a trial membership that you must terminate within 7 days to avoid a non-refundable monthly membership fee of $60. During the online consultation I upgraded my service to a live telephone consultation for an additional fee of $59. I ended that call feeling somewhat satisfied with the service.
However, when I contacted them to cancel my trial membership they informed me that I had exceeded the 7 day trial period and was charged the monthly membership fee of $60. I attempted to negotiate the reimbursement of the fee since I had upgraded to their telephone service and paid an additional $59. They stated that I accepted the terms of their agreement and would not budge. I understood that but they lost a customer for life.
The problem came after I requested that they terminate my membership immediately. I received an email that they were going to put my cancellation on hold and extend my membership another 15 days to try their service again. This is an unfair business practice aimed solely to attempt to charge me again for their membership fee if I don't notify them within the 15 day extension. I sent them another request to terminate my membership immediately and filed a complaint with the BBB.

I had problems with a printer driver being outdated. I found Just Answer online. The first technician simply 'left the room'. I had to connect again. Poor service! The second technician clearly did not know what they were doing. I had already tried on previous occasions what they were instructing me to do. The technician did not listen and I had to tell him to go back and review my original description of my problem. He then requested on two occasions to gain remote access to my screen! Access?! From a site which does not even carry an SSL certificate and this is an IT issue?! I don't think so, and I said absolutely not. I decided to close the chat because I clearly knew more than the technician did and I am no IT expert.
What was most disappointing was that I got charged a fee - small but I got charged when a dialogue box popped up stating "You will not be charged for this query". Very annoyed. Companies like this will continue to make money through people losing bits of money here and there and not having the time or energy to chase it up and get a refund. BEWARE!

I went on looking for basic answers for our cat. I paid the $5 7 day Trial fee, and waited for my answer, which the initial page had already said would be 'within 5-10 minutes". So.. we waited. As 30 minutes had passed, We began calling local vets because he was getting worse. We wound up having to take our Baby to an emergency pet hospital where just a few hours later we had to put him down! He was 13 years old and had heart disease of which we had No clue. No symptoms until hours before.
The "vet" (and I say that LIGHTLY) CHER, Never addressed our original question accurately. She asked Completely off the wall questions and focused Solely on the single fact that I had written he had had a bad case of fleas this year. She decided NOT to address my question of sudden labored breathing, instead writing "if you have any more questions we can go back and forth until you are satisfied"!!! Satisfied?? SERIOUSLY!!?? This company is a SCAM! DO NOT USE THEM FOR PET ADVISE , AT ALL, IN ANY CASE.
I had CANCELLED the membership I had JUST did 2 HOURS before she FINALLY got back to me, as we were ALREADY AT the pet hospital with an x-ray and blood work, in the VERY LONG time since I first asked my question. She wrote back to "Please not leave a negative comment because she won't receive a credit". GOOD!! She should NOT receive anything but a pink slip telling her "You're fired'. Lousy, super slow service, with only standard questions, NOT SPECIFICALLY ANSWERING THE SLIGHTEST TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTIONS! STAY AWAY FROM JUSTANSWER! DON'T ASK! SCAM COMPANY.

He just sat on the phone and ignored my request. I had to call my credit card company to find out how to rid myself of these scammers. Beware these people are not legitimate.

20/8 Trial membership 5 day - one question - £5. After repeated follow-ups no response. I assumed it was my lack of understanding of the site. 31/8 followed up again. The 'Expert' was chased. Received a manual but it didn't answer the question. Emails / online updates / texts - all flowing through at once. Recent text then offered phone call option - which I accepted for £21. The field in that option DOES NOT WORK for UK Tel Numbers. (Formatted for US numbers) I went back to Question to provide my UK no. Expert responded he is in US and does not do calls. I urgently wanted to end Question, end account, end this experience.
Through Chat, learned 5-day Trial £5 had been charged. £28 monthly fee had been charged on 28/8 - even though question outstanding. £21 phone call had been charged. Very alarming to think they have my bank card. After a long and arduous chat - £28 and £21 refunded. (They reluctantly cancelled my trial membership as my question was outstanding.) I would have been far happier to have bought a new dishwasher 10 days ago to have saved the stress this has caused. People should know about JustAnswer.

As other reviewers are saying they have this very hidden monthly fee that they won't refund after they steal it. It's a shame because some of their professionals are good. Which brings to mind another problem, after you rate a "Professional" you can't go back and lower the rating after you found out that the advice given wasn't so good.

I made the mistake of going to the JustAnswer.com website, after being referred by Facebook Business Manager. They trick you into getting their membership by making you take a $1 trial and then force you to keep it, even if you never intended to sign up as a member and will never use it. In addition, they double-charged me the $39 to answer a single question from their "Expert" that admitted he had no experience with my Facebook advertising question. You will see many complaints online and at the BBB about their deceptive and predatory business tactics that have nothing to do with helping people, but are merely interested in taking your money, whether they earned it or not. Upon researching the company, they operate out of a PO box, I believe so clients cannot leave a nasty review. My recommendation is avoid this company and their deceptive and predatory practices!

The website says ask a question for $5.00 which they did very quickly but then they hook you for a membership you didn't know you were signing up for. Then they start billing you card random amounts at their leisure. Aug 20th $5.00 (day of question). Aug 23 $14.00 I guess just for fun, Aug 27 $19.00 why not. It's all a scam.

I waited for a response from JustAnswer for 5 days after posting a question. During the time I waited for a response I attempted to log on to the site various times throughout each day for several days. I cancelled the account on day 8 and was told I would not receive a refund for the monthly fee charged on day 7. When asked about a partial refund I was told that was not possible. This is definitely NOT good customer service, as I was not able to access the website for most of the trial period. So I paid for a trial for service which I wasn't able to take full advantage of with the website not up and running 24/7. I would not recommend this site to anyone. The attorney's response was okay.

I originally posed a question on JustAnswer a year ago regarding my sick puppy. They charged a very appropriate $5 to answer the question. However, I was subsequently charged $29/month for their ongoing membership. Their website says “try 7 days for just $5. Then $29/month", but it does not say that you are auto-signing up indefinitely. It did not clearly state that you must cancel membership after the trial period. I also did not receive any notification over email, which they claimed that I did. When I called to calmly explain my scenario, I was rudely given the response "we do not give refunds". There was no resolution to this matter, and I'm disgusted by this fraudulent business practice. Look at the dozens of other comments with the exact same issue! Disgraceful.

I had a sick bird, and so I asked for advice on what to do. Someone came back fairly quickly and gave me an answer, which I think was an obvious solution anyway. However I knew I had to pay a minimal fee ($8.00) fair enough for the answer. But a few days later I was charged $45 membership fee which I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR. I then proceeded to cancel membership, but I don't intend to use this service again, so why do I have to pay for membership of $45. I would like a refund.

I also see that regardless of what they claim to be their process, they do NOT send out a notice 3 days in advance of any billing. Or at least none of us complaining here have ever gotten one! This is truly a scam with nothing but deceptive ways of hooking unsuspecting folks into paying for something they do not want! They told me that their membership fees are non-refundable but since they didn't hold up their end of our "agreement" (sending an email notifying me of their intent to charge the fee to my credit card), I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and continue to push them to refund the $46 they charged to my account!

Never go with them, they just care about money. The questions I asked are not clearly answered and the answer they provided was not even acceptable. On top of it. Wish I had 0 stars here. Highly recommend not to go with them. Look for any alternative anywhere, even though you have to pay little more.

I asked for assistance in uploading a corrupted fit file generated from my Garmin device. The expert's suggestions were things I had already tried and hadn't worked. He kept suggesting I edit the file using software that was incompatible with the file, despite my reminding him of that incompatibility. After losing confidence in his ability to help me, I eventually found a solution myself; this involved converting the file via a website, editing it and reconverting back to 'fit' format. It required a lot of manual work but it did fix the problem. A few days later the expert suggested I try converting the file using the very same website. The expert also suggested I reset the Garmin device to factory settings although this would never have fixed the problem with the file.
I expected that someone who called themselves an "expert" would have a) first referred me to the conversion website, b) not suggested a factory reset that would not have fixed the file in any case. The whole point of using JustAnswer was to avoid having to find my own solution and to get a fast solution. JustAnswer failed on both these counts. Judging by other reviews on this website I see I'm not the only one who feels this way about JustAnswer. I would not recommend them to anyone unless they were willing to spend time answering the "expert"'s questions, trying things that do not work and wasting a lot of time.

I did the $5 trial. It took two days for someone to respond and by their response, it was clear they had not bothered to really read the question or didn't understand the difference between a hard top and a ragtop on a car!!! I didn't want to bother trying to educate them - after all - "Just Answer" had ignored everything else I had written. I just figured it was a $5 loss. Oh well. Then I saw the credit card bill for a full month - $37! I had unwittingly signed up. Now here's the FUNNY part. I had to go thru three "Customer Care Agents" in their online chat room to get someone to JUST ANSWER the question - "How do I cancel this subscription?" Oh it hurts, it hurts to laugh so hard. So - beware the $5 trial - you are signing up.

I called for the one time question, tv tech got back to me the next day, problem solved. Nothing was mentioned about a monthly charge membership, I did say I only wanted the one time service, they charged the $1 fee. Today my bank withdrew $40.00 for that membership, when I called in just ask to refund the charge they said I should have read all the materials about an automatic rollover. They should have been more upfront at the very beginning about their practice, and when taking my credit card info that it would roll over to a monthly charge. Very deceptive practice. Will never use them or suggest them again!

A couple of months ago I needed legal help because of a confusing roommate situation so I turned to JustAnswer. I was supposed to be charged $5 and only if I was satisfied I was supposed to pay an additional $31. Well, I was not satisfied at all because the "expert" was very confusing and I had to repeat myself often. I was charged anyway so I requested a refund. Like I said, that was 2 months ago - still haven't heard back from customer service. I was also harassed by the "lawyer" as to why I had left a negative review. He told me it wasn't his fault that I was mad at my local laws and that I should take it up with my local government. Uhm.. No buddy, my review has nothing to do with the law. Your answers were confusing at best, most of them actually didn't answer any of my questions. In any case.. instead of a refund I was contacted by another person who chimed in and said they'd be taking over.
His answers were helpful so I decided to let the refund go. HOWEVER - today, 2 months later, I was charged $46 out of nowhere! For WHAT!? I didn't ask any additional questions! But I'm sure if I try to reach out to customer service, I won't get a refund. Just like all the other people on here that were ripped off by random scam charges! We're already paying for the questions we ask! So why charge us random fees whenever you please!? What a sorry excuse for something that claims to be helpful in a time of need. Very disappointed. I paid $5 for this service and was advised that it was refundable. I have subsequently been charged $66 for the first month's membership payment which is part of the conditions of the initial $5 (not advised to me at the time) and after telephoning this company on a 18oo number was told that it was not refundable and I would have to pay $66 per month until I cancelled. The operator then started to read out the conditions of membership that I have never heard of before. The conditions were never explained to me at the beginning of this so called service and I would be stuck with the payment. I cancelled the membership over the phone and I am stuck with a $66 account that I did not authorise. I authorised $5 only on my debit card. Stay well clear of these people as they will hook you and if you are not vigilant looking at your card details will suck your credit card dry monthly.

I received an email 3 days after my question, in part saying "we feel a little sheepish that we couldn't answer your question." 4 days later I was billed 34.00. I was billed another $34.00 in August. I was originally charged $5.0 for good faith. I called to complain and they refunded August but said I was too late to complain about the non answer I received in July. Their billing sounds like a phone room in India and I suggest to everyone to google your problem and use a Youtube video for a fix. In short stay away from JustAnswer.com.

I ran across this site needing a question about my kitten. Well, the answer did not come right away. It came almost 2 days later and if I waited a couple of hours later I could have gotten my answer for FREE from a local vet when their office opened and I got my answer about my pet's health the same day unlike almost 2 days later from this website. I canceled their service before the free trial ended. Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and saw that this "company" charged my card $29! I emailed them and demanded my money back and I was reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and I got a reply back from an extremely rude customer service agent that identified themselves as Ai....lol.
Their reply back was a completely fabricated lie that I had I agreed to an extended free trial and when I did not cancel AGAIN then my card was charged. They refused to refund my money and this rude agent smarted off about their company being BBB approved. In the days of copy and pasting logos, I doubt the BBB would approve this company seeing all the reviews here where people are being scammed on their credit cards. By the way, their website hides at the very bottom of the page that you will be charged $27 a question.
Well, if I asked no questions I shouldn't have been billed anything after the free trial. Not only that but they charged my card $29. So, that in itself is misleading false advertisement. Plus, the rude agent said their company wasn't a scam. I didn't call it a scam in my email I just wanted my money back. This tells you a lot about this company right there. Rude customer service agents that can't even give you their real name but they get access to your credit card and everything else about you. Honestly, you are better off getting your questions answered on Quora or Yahoo Answers than this place.

My elderly mother realized after a few months that she had subscribed. They got her credit card number, probably in her confusion. But it was not easy for her to resolve the problem. Ultimately she had to cancel her credit card! I honestly do not know the details of what happened when. But I resent any business that cannot accommodate an innocent mistake like she made. She did not use that website except that one time. But the business began charging her about $45/month.

I tried the $5 ask a question thing, the answer were more yes/no and I would need to reach out to an attorney for more details. While chatting with the "attny" the chat kept wanting me to speak with them by phone (so they could charge me more). That was around July 9th, then July 17th they charged me $53. Today Aug 14 I called to cancel and they said they would not refund the $53 and would not be charged any further. So I said I didn't use it since the first day when I paid the $5 and good customer service would have refunded my $53. I don't need the service since my work provides legal counsel and they could have looked to see that last time I used their service and refunded based on that criteria. Rip off alert, they obviously do not care about the people trying the service nor their own reputation...$53 not worth it.

I am very frustrated as I asked one question and paid $5 for it. The Dr. who responded literally just reiterated that it could be what I thought it was and to go to an actual Dr. So obviously after having such a crappy response I never wanted to use this app again. This morning I received a charge for $46 and I had no idea I was even signed up for a membership automatically. I called and emailed trying to get a refund as I haven’t even used the service since I asked that first question and have no intention of using it anymore and they told me I was “ineligible” for a refund which I don’t understand. I’ve had similar instances with other places on occasion and they’re always happy to refund. Will definitely be writing a negative review if I don’t get my money back.

I asked a simple question that never got answered. I asked for the refund for the $1 they charge you to even ask questions. I look at my account, $46 taken out for my membership that I already cancelled. Ironically, I ask them how to properly cancel the membership and for a refund, they asked for $1 to answer my question. So obviously my membership was cancelled but why I received no refund is beyond me. Very dissatisfied. Would not recommend.

I have had the same issue as many people who have left reviews here - was told I was paying $5 for one answer (which, by the way, was so generic it was entirely useless) - turns out I've signed up to a VERY hefty membership of $72AUD/month, which has been debited from my bank twice now. I had no idea I'd signed up to this membership - I barely pay that much for my iPhone XS max bill - as if I would pay that for a useless organisation such as this! The response from the company to another person with the same issue as me is a total joke. I quote:
"The cost of the Full Membership, along with the details of the trial period, and of the £5 collected are outlined and displayed on the same page where you submit your billing information, just before you post your question. There is no obligation whatsoever, and the membership can be canceled at any time. An automated email is sent out 48-24 hours before the billing begins."
I'm sorry, I am an intelligent person and fully aware of scam websites, and I did NOT see anywhere on the sign-up page the details of the full membership cost/the fact I was signing up to this - if it was on the page it must have been in minuscule writing and attention actively drawn away from it. Additionally, I NEVER received an automated email before billing began - I simply had $72AUD taken from my bank account without me knowing. Stay away from this company, they are absolutely scamming people.

I wanted to ask a legal question and JustAnswer informed that I had to become a trial member for 5$ & I agreed & they charged me 5$ on my credit card. Again after 3 days I asked another question & again paid 5$ for trial membership. But after that for 2 months without my knowledge they took 46$ + 46$ out of my card although I didn't become their member.
Only in the 3rd month I knew that they were charging me 46$ per month & when I phoned them up they told me the membership fees are non-refundable when they were not supposed to have taken the membership fees as I had applied only for their trial membership & not their full fledged membership. However since I had disputed the 3rd membership fees through my bank, they did not take the fees. I think this is a scam & advise everybody not to give their card details for the trial membership as they will go on charging every month the full membership fees without informing. For $5 company offers a 7-day trial, and at the stroke of midnight after 7 days starts billing $46 a month for a subscription! I was never told I had to cancel by the 6th day, 59th minute. When I protested that I was not made aware of this I was told the information was somewhere in the fineprint. I was also told I could cancel going forward but would not be refunded for the fraudulent charges.

Later I was charged $46 I think for membership! When I called about this it was hard to understand the person. But she denied the charge being made and wanted me to give her my credit card number again. I said no way! She said they couldn't help then! I do not trust them!

Good - My dog got into some prescription medication at night and I needed to know what to do. The vet was prompt, courteous and answered my questions. Bad - I believed I had cancelled the trial membership until I saw a charge pop up on my credit card for $59 for automatic renewal. I got in touch with JustAnswer and they passed me around to three different people when I tried to cancel again. Each person had to review the previous persons conversation while putting me on hold and then each person was more insistent that I not cancel. It took over 20 minutes, me getting angry and apparently an act of Congress to cancel the "trial" membership. If you decide to sign up with JustAnswer, make really sure that's what you want to do.

What a waste of time, I wish I had read all the reviews before starting. I ended up wasting a week waiting for a so called expert to help me. When I originally asked my question the expert came in straight away, asked me questions about my problem and made sure to get paid and after that no response at all. I even explained to customer service I was stuck out on my farm nowhere near any town without this vehicle and they said my question would be high priority. Still nothing and I paid for unlimited questions and guarantee answer within 30 minutes. I waited a week. I changed experts. I was on high priority and still nothing. Many emails to customer service and they offered me a refund which I got but not the full 100%. I had responses from senior manager customer services and I explained to him I would rather fix my problem, not a refund and I never got another response.
I have to agree with most reviews. This is just a money grab scam, they possibly could help with a very simple problem but if it looks like it might actually take time to fix then no answers. I'm looking to invoice them for the time I wasted. It states very clearly guarantee answers within 30 minutes which never happened. Scam company with no conscience or moral ethics leaving people in need stranded. DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME, EVEN AS A PAID UP UNLIMITED MEMBER I WAITED OVER A WEEK TO NOT GET A RESPONSE.

Please, please stay away from this website, it’s a scam. They start off as a trial for $5 dollars, but trust and believe you will find a $46 dollar charge on your credit card or whatever payment method that you used. These people won’t answer any of the questions that you ask correctly and will take a while to get back to you. And when you try to cancel or get a refund they give you the runaround and lie to you when you call and tell you that the payment has failed when they know full well that they charged you.

Contacted them about an issue with the truck I had. Signed up for a $5 7 day trial. Cancelled the plan after 4 days (7 day cancellation cut off). Still got charged $41 for the answer. The answers were kinda on topic, but didn't help me, the issue ended up being something else I found myself. I did leave a good review to mechanic for trying and left him $10 tip. When contacted JustAnswer for refund they acted as I paid for the service and nothing is being refunded to me....even though my plan was cancelled and I didnt receive the correct info. I have never set the price to pay to mechanic, they just paid him $41 because they decided it's what they deserve I guess? They really confuse you with their pricing (membership / vs pay per answer) and it becomes very foggy. Putting in fraud claim with credit card now.

This is a total membership scam. Requested a refund and cancelled. They will not refund. I had 6 different charges of $0.10 for other sections beyond the trial question on my credit card before a final $53 charge. I never received email notices of pending credit card charges! I simply wanted help to fix my AC pump. So I typed in the question, and was warned this would cost $5.00. I should have known better, but I went ahead with it anyway. After all there were 50 some representatives online, so I should get a quick response... But a day or two later, I got a reply saying they would be glad to help. What is it that I want. I HAD IT ALL EXPLAINED IN THE FIRST CONTACT! And just that quickly I see I got charged $30.00 some for his reply. I knew there was no way I could pay this much for simple communication, so I stopped then and there. Not long after I got a call from my Credit Card company wondering about possible fraud they saw on my account. I told them it was fraud, but I admitted it was my fault for letting it go this far. I now know not to waste my money on them! And if you are willing to spend that kind of money, take it to someone who actually can help.

In the Philippines. Not that an overseas location is the kiss of death all of the time but it is in this case. Most untrustworthy with small print, charged me after I said the "advice" was unhelpful. One thing about overseas companies is that language can be an issue. The "expert" was certainly not an English language expert. If you are looking for a reasonable approach to a "contract" to take money from your account automatically, this is not the place. I consider this fraud! I said I was dissatisfied after the session. This should be enough to cancel my account. Another fact to drive you crazy is that the supervisor is busy with another customer.
ALL the supervisors are busy with another customer. Lockout from the chat window, the ontological hiding of clear contact. Yes, it is the nature of being for a fraud to make obscure contact after they take your money! A revolting experience and another overseas company that has no expertise, unable to understand the English language clearly and obscurity of clear contact. Avoid.

I called to explain that my card had been used fraud like, and told them that I did not use the card for whatever question they told me and he proceeded to say that they needed to investigate about it to make sure it actually was fraud and that it would have to go higher up in the command or some **. Which I think is total bull. If I'm sitting there telling you that I had to get a new card because it was fraud like and I would like them to refund the money I don't understand why that was so hard to just comply with. It was only $46. It was only one charge. It's not like I sat there and was asking them to refund me 3 months worth. And then when I ask them if I can just cancel it and they can keep the money he still said that he couldn't do it. This is horrible customer service.

Hi. I tested the site because I may need continuous service. I was very happy with the trial period. I think I could use it when I need a prolonged service, which I may shortly. I am happy with the content and the expertise. However, it's not that easy to cancel your trial period! Other similar sites that I have tried, have one button, press and you're done. That gives me more degrees of freedom and confidence on the site, making it a site I want to use. It's taken me hours of interaction with the help on line, chat, etc. I'm still working on the trial period cancellation. This is too cumbersome and time consuming. The advantage and attraction of these sites for me is to be able to sign up and cancel the service any time without jumping through many hoops. I think this site needs to fix this problem to improve the customer experience. Thank you.

And yet I asked them to refund me for both of them because I paid 59$ for ask question and also 5$ for another question for May month (but even the duplicate of double membership they refused that for May so total charges was 2(47)+59+1+5 that was for May). And for 12/28/2018 and 11/28/2018 and 10/28/2018 all each 47$ and refuse to refund me where I just signed up for 9/28/2019. It's like I didn't use their service and I want full refund. And I want to attach those payments to their headquarter but the person who picks the call refuse to pass me to manager.

This is a bait and switch. I have read a long string of other reviews where the same thing happened to others as happened to me. JustAnswer responds to many of them saying about the same thing, that they're sorry about confusion with membership terms or payment terms. It seems they should maybe clarify that better on the front page before you commit to the first $5.00 charge. I feel like I was scammed as well. In my own case they were unable to come up with an answer for me after a couple days of searching but proceeded to charge me the $5 plus another $46 to the best of my memory for a month's membership I didn't ask for and that I received no service during.
In short, I was charged $53 bucks for nothing. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they fought the dispute and forced me to lose that money in exchange for nothing at all, since it's "all in the fine print" and was all "available for me to find and read" somewhere on the site. I was conned out of my money by a deceptive site and received no service. Beware.

Extremely dissatified with the way advisor spoke to me and could not even transfer my call to manager. Very rude and they just read scripts they are given and do not understand the concern or believe in giving resolution.

Updated on 08/01/2019: This is a continuation of a previous complaint. I contacted the company with a potential problem with my wall oven. They did not respond until I complained and they stated they did not have an answer.. About a week later I heard from one of their Techs with an answer. He asked me to give him a good rating which I did. Not for the service but for his reply.
They then billed me $5.00 which was an introductory offer and in addition billed me $28.00 in June then again in July. When I complained they cut me off and said they would not bill me for additional payments for membership which I never agreed to in view of their failure to perform. They advertise that if one is dissatisfied with their service they would refund their charges. They have failed to do this and when I contact them they have responded curtly and state their supervisor is busy and can't talk to me. This is a scam and I do not recommend them. They try to appease me by telling me they will extend my membership for a week. That is humorous as I never agreed to a membership as they never performed as advertised.
Original Review: I submitted a question about my oven which I was concerned may have a possible fire hazard. I never heard back from them even though they promise an answer in 24 hours. When I did not hear back from them I contacted them again and told them their service SUCKS. They admitted they did not know the answer. However about a week later I did get a email from a Tech who seemed to know what he was talking about.
I had signed in with a $5.00 offer and they billed me $28.00 in June and again in July. I never agreed to a membership and especially when they failed to perform within the terms of their advertisement. I am willing to pay the June fee but not the July amount and have protested and requested they credit my credit card for the amount. Their response was that they cancelled my membership which I never approved or agreed to and especially when they failed to perform as advertised. If you bring your dog into a Vet in person, the Veterinarian is likely to charge an office visit fee that is significantly higher than ours. Bringing your pet in may also be difficult if the Vet is far away or the animal is large or in significant pain.

When you sign up for the trial they say they will give you a reminder that you trial will end but this they will never give you. Don’t wait for your reminder to cancel as they won’t give you one as they state. They will just charge your card and refuse to give you a refund. Terrible customer service

Week later got charged $53 and when reached out they pointed me to terms and condition fine prints and refused to refund even I cancelled the membership. Just be sure when you "Just Ask" that you know that the minimal charge ($5.99) for your question is not the whole story. Unless you cancel, it obligates you to a "FREE" trial for 7 days, which you need to cancel or you'll be charged the $53.00 membership fee. To be fair, they do state this, but when one is under the stress of needing an answer quickly (ONE ANSWER) this info can be easily missed. Also, the lawyer had bit of an attitude in her request for more information, with a backhanded insult of stating that my request to know 'my rights' implied I didn't "want a lesson on the Constitution, so could I be a bit more specific?" It was after her request for more specific information came up that a message stating something to the effect that I could get more information for more money.

It's a bait and switch. You start with a person who seems knowledgeable and personable, but if you pay extra for a phone call, you get a different person entirely, who may not be as good. My phone call was with a retired lawyer who quite obviously didn't give a ** who simply directed me to go read online resources. And don't be late cancelling the trial membership...I apparently a couple hours late (after they'd charged my card) and could not get them to refund the fee.

JustAnswers offered themselves as an online computer problem solver. They requested an advance $5 payment before answering my question, for which I gave them my cc. number. They did solve the problem for me. At which time the questions came up to become a member. I no thank you or something to that effect. I did not really pay attention to my c.c. statement as I should have. And just yesterday I realized I had been charged for two months membership fees of $46.00 each. When I called to complain about this, the lady informed I did not click no thanks fast enough and was enrolled as a member. She acted as though it was funny. I too lost the money, as I let too much time go by before I caught the trick played on me. I would recommend everyone beware of this website.

Would love this to be the answer to not being able to find what you want online by asking experts - however it's simply not the case. I asked an Expert Lawyer a simple question on JustAnswer, and their response was, "you need to contact an expert lawyer!" and for the privilege of 30 mins of my time they charged me £5. No problem you think, as it's allegedly a fully refundable membership deposit but what they don't advertise is they don't refund it for 30 days according to T&Cs.
The next con with JustAnswer.co.uk is that once you start chatting with the lawyer every single response shouts at you to persuade you to do a call rather than a chat and for this they will only charge you a further £43 to talk to them. Unbelievable really! Glad I didn't pay £43 to be told by phone as well that "really I should be talking to an expert lawyer". As with most companies like this you can't easily email them as everything is sent with noreply email addresses forcing you to login and hunt for answers taking up more time that you wanted to save by using them in the first place!

I needed help registering a Kindle, JustAnswer ad popped up on screen with $5.00 refundable offer if they didn't help. I signed up. There was an immediate $25.00 charge added to my credit card as they had from the $5.00 deal. After some back and forth I did get the $5.00 returned as I cancelled within my Tues of signing up. Over the phone I'm being told the $25.00 is being refunded. They know they did nothing. But at the same time showing the credit card where I signed up. They may be helpful to some. All I see is deceit. No respectful business operates in the manner these guys do. Enter at your peril!

I had a simple query with an immigration attorney so I was looking up on internet. Then I came across their website and took $5 trial. After that they charge me $53 as a monthly subscription which I am in no need of. Speaking to the support team they just reply with "you are not qualified for refund". I mean every company understand this and based on the usage they refund. But this company is not at all cooperative. They did not even sent a reminder email or text before deducting money.
If that is the money making model they rely on then they better shut their business. I thought I had a great experience earlier and will come back to use (subscribe again of course) again when needed. But right now I don't need it and hence would want them to refund the money but they clearly do not intend to do so. This is the customer's era my friends at JustAnswer. If you can't satisfy or treat a customer nicely you will not suffice for long and will reduce to a money making con company instead.

They require a fee for a 7 day trial period which I was happy to pay as the service I received was helpful. Unfortunately, they continue to bill your cc as though you'd signed up for their entire service. They claim they send an email warning you of the impending billing but I have no record of these email reminders. They also claim that these charges are non-refundable. Yet when I indicated I was simply going to notify my cc company of the inappropriate charges, they processed a refund.

I signed up for the week of "free" support for $1 to solve an ethernet problem after a recent Win10 update. After 6 days of unsuccessful help, the "expert" asked for a good rating! On the 7th day, I solved the problem on my own and let the "expert" know what finally worked. For several days after that, the "expert" asked for a rating. I finally said "NO". For that last response, I got a bill for $46. JustAnswer has denied my request for a refund twice.

There are a lot of free sources of information on the internet, however, JustAnswer is not one of them. In some cases, the manufacturer of the product will offer free support for the product as long as it's still under warranty, that might be the best solution for you if the toilet is indeed still under warranty.
If not, the Experts on the site are available to work with you to locate the parts, and troubleshoot the repair, if needed.

Last fall I took advantage of what I thought was a "$5 introductory offer" to ask a pet question (to which I received an unhelpful answer - but I thought "you get what you pay for"). Months later I realized that JustAnswer had billed me $29 per month without my knowledge!! It seems the buried in their Terms of Usage is a provision to automatically enroll me in a monthly subscription service, which I never used and never wanted!! My credit card company sided with them, but I feel so ripped off - such deceitful and dishonest sales practices should be banned from the internet. Do not use this service - a complete and total ripoff - this seems to be a criminal enterprise to me.

I canceled within the trial period of 7 days. I was billed anyways, the chat center said they showed no record. Subsequently gave me a contact number to discuss the charge. My membership information cannot be accessed. The number I called tried to offer a free medical bracelet which I refused, she then told me she couldn't help. When I called the number back I got a message that stated that the number I called was not available from my calling area. This was right after I just spoke with a lady at that number... I had to cancel the card to make sure I would not be billed in the future and will be filing a fraudulent form with my bank stating this company would not work with me or allow me to talk with anyone in charge... User BEWARE!!!

I needed some advise about my Panasonic Viera TV. The first site that popped up on a Google search on "Panasonic Viera tech support" was an ad for JustAnswer. After searching for a legit Panasonic tech support site to no avail, I clicked on JustAnswer against my better judgement. They talked me into a 7 day trial for $1, with 1/2 donated to charity. I bit, and gave them my credit card. Then I typed in the nature of my problem, and an "expert" appeared in a chat box. After giving him more details, he said by text that this would be much easier over the phone, for an additional $26. I replied complaining about this and he failed to answer.
In the meantime I emailed the "friendly" person who was my initial contact and told her I wanted my membership cancelled immediately. "Okay," she said, "I will pass that request to my supervisor, who unfortunately is out of the office now." You get the picture. There was a method to dis-enroll on their website but it failed to work. Next day, I received an email telling me I was dis-enrolled, as well as messages from the expert telling me to update the info about my problem, which I ignored. I thought all was well but just got a fraud alert from my credit card company. Charges from JustAnswer are appearing on my bill. Had to cancel the card. What a sucker I was. Caveat emptor, but I was caught up in the moment and really wanted an answer.

I needed help with some questions regarding my Facebook and had the impression that this was affiliated to Facebook. Regardless, I filled in my details as it was only $2. Then I found out that I would be billed $57 monthly if I do not cancel. I attempted to ask some questions, which the "expert" were not able to answer at all. All he did was paste me some link from Facebook FAQ which I had already found myself (they did not work, which was why I needed to call a helpline). Regardless, I tried several times to cancel my membership but was replied by automated messages asking me why I wanted to cancel and that they would recommend another "expert". There was no way to cancel at all! My account was even locked by the customer service. This is my worst experience online. To ensure I was not billed, I had cancelled my credit card. I hope all online users planning to use JustAnswer will be aware of this.

Told Austin I wasn’t going to follow his advice. Went back to owner’s manual. Figured out problem myself and fixed it. Next day I told Austin I fixed problem myself. Was not offered refund. First, they say you need to pay $5 down to get your question in the queue, then they add another $14 if/when a veterinarian answers your question. Several hours later I get notified by someone wanting even more money to have me call them instead ($28) and saying I can email a video but that costs more money... so for $19 I got nothing but the runaround. Total scam in my opinion and I should have known that. Don't waste your time or money. They don't care about you or your pet; they just want to scam you out of money. Sad.

I asked a legal question for $5. I was asked to rate the service. I figured they were paid $5 and I was answered immediately. I gave them 5 stars. Then I was asked for $59 to receive a call from an attorney. I declined but continued texting the attorney. I never received a follow-up answer. Today my debit card had what I consider STOLEN from it. I called and was told since I gave a positive rating they would not return my money. I work hard for my money, and $58 for a quick answer that was not helpful is BS. This company SUCKS!!!!

I started to use JustAnswer, typed in literally only part of a question, but decided against it. However, I unintentionally signed up for it anyway and a few months later realized I was being charged $36/month for their service. So I immediately canceled the service. Unsolicited, they refunded the last month payment. Because I could not remember using their service at first I asked them to show me what question I'd asked. They sent it and it wasn't even a completed sentence. So, I asked, given that I never actually used their service, if they could refund all three months? They did! In the email they said I had clearly not intended to use the service so they would not charge me at all. How's that for good customer service? Oh, and all of this - the cancelation, emails, refunds - took place in a matter of hours, even after hours. Given this experience, if I DO ever need their service I will not hesitate. I went to JustAnswer to get help for an appliance problem I was having as I had used them before and had good results. The product the owners came up with was an excellent idea, to make it possible to get help without very expensive solutions. I had nothing but praise for Just Answer the last time I used it but this time they have changed the whole platform so now it is very frustrating to get their help. I went on their site and filled in some info and then was asked to pay a fee and I thought I was speaking to a person who could help me with my problem only to find out I was speaking to a bot although they showed a picture of a woman. Then they transferred me to store to download their website for my phone which was ok but then after I downloaded it and went on their site I had to go through it all again. Then when I thought I had finally gotten a real person come to find out I had gotten another bot and they wanted more money.
After getting so frustrated I decided to end this bad adventure. I get an email from them so I thought maybe I will get somewhere now so I followed the email only to have to put all my info in again. Then to make it worse they didn’t help me with my problem. So now I have to try to cancel the service because you can’t just pay for one service. Instead you are signing up for a monthly plan. I have been looking for a way to cancel but so far I haven’t been able to find it. Also while using the service I kept getting pop ups to call them but they said it’s not them and not to call them! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! They need to use their service to see how bad it is messed up!

Wrongfully advertised themselves as "Microsoft" so when I reached out to what I thought was Microsoft office support I was asked to put in CC details. After that, the cancellation link for cancelling a membership did not work ten times. The agent came online and told me the "cancellation link does not work and stop clicking on it." They collected $1 for not answering any question and not doing anything. They should be reported to the relevant authorities for scamming.

I tried this and got some great info from a good old boy. Very knowledgeable Toyota mechanic for $26 plus I tipped him $10 for his great help. What I also got was a $34 additional charge for a monthly membership that I didn't sign up for (knowingly). On their webpage, which I late explored, there is a "How much does JustAnswer cost?" question. They do not answer the question but instead state the after a trial period you will be billed. This is a fraudulent practice. So I called and canceled (since their chat session is inoperative) and supposedly I will be refunded my $34 and my account canceled. They seemed fairly responsive this way but probably because they don't want to be taken down by the FCC.

This is the worst, most terriblest customer service I have ever received. I paid the 5 dollars, was unaware of the extra charges that they would charge me for a membership when I already paid 5 dollars for my question!! I called saying how I was completely unaware of the extra charges they would charge me and they would not give me refund. So be careful with the extra money they charge your card because no refunds are apparently possible for this website when now I am sitting here with no membership. Don’t need a membership and paid 55 dollars for one question.

Had a car problem. Asked a question. A polite response which was inconclusive and needed more info. Couldn't provide it. Saw my account was charged $19 plus 2 $5 charges. Tried to cancel. Got a rude supervisor named Ferdinand ** who argued with me about cancelling. What the Bleep. Still not sure my membership is canceled and will never get my answer or my $29. TOTAL RIP OFF.

This site is garbage. I tried this site for asking a "certified" Ford technician why was my LCM acting up. The dude was procrastinating and trying to wheel me in to spending more money and pay for a phone call. Then these people will secretly put charges on your bank account. Don't even try to call customer service. Can't understand a thing they're saying. They don't speak straight English.

Said free answer for $5. Very misleading. $34 charge showed up on 7/4/19 and I contacted them the next day. Too bad - membership canceled - no refund. Do not do business with them. Scam.

I had a question about my taxes. Answer was on the internet. Thought they took my 5 bucks for a lame answer. Apparently, I joined and started a subscription. When I saw they had charged my credit card for 2 mos. for $28.00 a pop, I requested a refund two different ways and got the same answer twice. READ THE FINE PRINT!!! Ironic, they seem to help with such problems, not create them. Reading the reviews, it seems this is the way they generate their income!!!

The website itself is terribly laid out with tons of busy and confusion extra junk that distracts you from getting "just" the answer. They have a fake AI bot customer service chat that is constantly popping up that is not only completely useless but is also very distracting and annoying. The process of getting an answer and getting connected to the expert was terrible and also very confusing with lots of junk email with ads for other services and an "assistant" which had nothing to do with my question. Trying to communicate with the expert was also clunky and confusing as they added other "experts" to the page and the email instead of the one that was actually answering my question.
After trying to cancel my trial membership, I was again forced to deal with the AI bot which never actually did anything to cancel my membership. I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with them just to cancel it! What on earth would make a company force people to spend almost 30 minutes just to cancel a trial? The only reason I give it even one star is because the expert did actually help me with my question. That is literally the only thing about my experience that was good. It's amazing how they could get the execution of the site and service so wrong and yet still connect you with knowledgeable experts. The hassle is seriously not worth it though.

I'm living in Germany and asked a question regarding my tax returns. I paid 5 euros for trial membership and waited for 4 days to get any reply from any of the lawyers. I didn't get any reply, contacted the customer care and they all said, "We have put your case on priority and will assign a lawyer soon," but took 4 days for them. I cancelled my trial membership as a result and I'm really happy about that.

They'll charge you $5 no matter what if you go through with it, but once I checked my email right after going through, the email confirmation said once someone responds to your question you'll get charged the 60 something dollars it is. So don't believe the lie that it's only $5. Luckily I made sure I didn't have enough funds in my account to make sure something like this didn't happen. After that I called and got my $5 refunded.

After giving my information and asking my first question, I received a single-line "answer," then was told that I would have to buy a $50 phone call to continue. When I tried to cancel, the Customer Service chat refused to process my request before they tried several times to get me to agree to continue. I strongly advise avoiding this business. The "bait-and-switch" tactics and making cancellation difficult suggests malicious intent.

This borders on SCAM, as we paid to talk to a lawyer once, and the monthly fees started coming, even though we had cancelled the monthly trial, and this continued for 5 months. We never wanted a membership, only one time advice. We called several times to cancel and were ignored until we finally demanded an email confirmation. Then when we complained, they said "DO YOU HAVE A CONFIRMATION NUMBER FROM YOUR OTHER CANCELLATIONS?" JUSTANSWER has customer "no service" people with STRONG accents who are not easy to understand, and act as if they have a lot of trouble understanding us. They do not speak English as a first language, clearly. Poor customer service. We feel we got ripped off for 5 months of monthly fees for a service we did not use or want.

The generator on my RV had auto started and could not be turned off. 24 hours later I have not received a reply from JustAnswer. Fortunately, the problem was resolved. Asked for cancellation and refund for trial. Was offer another opportunity to ask a question. I don't need that. I need a refund.

The call was a waste of time. The lawyer was obnoxious and rude from the moment she began speaking. She did not even read what I wrote before we started talking. The upgrade to speak with a lawyer is a scam. The very brief response from the lawyer was something I could have gleaned from a textbook. Refund Please.

I was trying to get an answer to resolve an issue with MS Excel. First, after I was charged a ‘down payment’ of $5, the firm could not charge my credit card $42 for the balance. My credit card was inactivated since the charge looked suspicious. After reactivating it, the firm still couldn’t charge it, nor could the firm apparently charge my other credit card. Both credit cards are good to go. No answer to my question after 10 days. I found a solution (or workaround) to my issue, so I asked the firm to quit and not charge me the $42. I wish I could rate the firm ZERO or even NEGATIVE stars.

The answer we received was valuable. The fact that you are signed up for a monthly subscription by default is shady I feel. My wife didn't understand that and the email to remind her went to her spam folder so we got charged $46 for the 1st month. I could see where someone could not catch the charges for a while and be out $46 per month.

Minus 10 stars would be a more accurate assessment, and that is being kind. 8 days and no answer yet received, despite repeated inquiries. However, they billed me $5 for the answer I didn't get, plus enrolled me in a monthly service I didn't authorize and hit my account for another $34. Today I got to argue with the fine out of country billing service on the phone, but did get all but 50 cents refunded. Don't waste your time, they seem to be a complete joke and scam, promising much, delivering nothing, yet taking your money and arguing about giving it back. Run as fast as you can!

I asked a single question about a specific computer problem. I received nothing more than I could get with a few Google searches. I thought I cancelled my account shortly thereafter, but apparently not. My Visa bill for this month showed a $46 charge to JustAnswer. In reaction, I tried to cancel the account online, but couldn't due to unavailability of an online supervisor needed to complete cancellation. I was instructed to phone JustAnswer. Once connected by phone, cancellation was difficult and I was given considerable runaround and options to extend my membership. Finally, I was told that my single question, if the account was not cancelled within 7 days, would be rolled over automatically to a $46 on-going membership. I didn't understand any of this when asking the question and was completely unaware, although I was told on the phone that it was described in Terms and Conditions.
Beware when you think you are asking a simple question. What you get and what it costs can come as a surprise. The answers are no better than you can get on your own and getting out of this billing mess of on-going charges is something you don't want to deal with. Their business model seems unethical to me, but you be the judge.

I am a very recent widow trying to find my way. I contacted Just Answer to help me with some computer glitches. I was lead through a maze of “experts”. I agreed to the payment fee(s) thinking that was what I was going to have to do and problem solved. After a backbreaking hour, digging into my computer, being sent videos to watch, other links to try... I got nothing. NOTHING. I contacted Apple support. Spoke to a live person. Problems resolved in under 30 minutes at no cost. 4 I just contacted JustAnswer. Leave me alone! Take my info out of their system. PERIOD! Live and learn. If I see any additional billing to my card they will be turned over to BBB. I would demand a refund but know it will never come. Stay clear‼️ Scam company. Barbara **.

I paid for a service and was enrolled into a monthly subscription without consent. Their website was deceiving and did not clearly indicate that I was enrolling for a monthly service which is now illegal to do in my state of Virginia. They said they would not refund because they do show subscription, which they do on the desktop site but NOT on the phone version of their site which is what I used.
