    Cat Vet. Terri responded to my initial question. One of my "kids" has congestion, and it did not appear to show any improvement. I felt that a Vet's opinion could help improve his issue. I felt her suggestions we very good, and she was thorough on initiating communicating the various infections that could be occurring. It is an hour by hour issue, and Terri was right there with me.

    I used the site for a legal question. I was on the fence with the wording of a contract and they did help tip me one way. It was a small conversation. I corresponded twice during the conversation. I intended on cancelling on the 7th day but it was near the holidays and everyone knows how hectic that can be. I cancelled on day 9 and thought I was good. I DID NOT get a correspondence that they would be charging my card like they responded to someone else saying that they do. THEY DID NOT!!!!

    I contacted them via telephone and by email. They will not meet me at least halfway with a partial refund. They stick solid to the 7 day $5 and them $55 bucks monthly for a membership. I never used their service again. AND NEVER WILL!!! It is unfortunate because it really seems like a cool idea. However, their communication is HORRIBLE. I believe they prey on the busy customer, who may forget to cancel when they wanted to. BUYER BEWARE.... IF YOU PLAN ON JUST USING IT FOR A DAY OR TWO, cancel it away.

    You can speak to a Lawyer but they take for everything to answer and constantly request for you to call for another $50. Then they charge you $46 after 1 week and refuse to give you a refund. I would not recommend anyone to use their services.

    I asked a question and paid $5 on 1/1/20. On 1/10/20 they charged $65. They said they would send an email that day before they charged again--but they didn't. Just took money out. I'm outraged. It's a scam. They just want to force you to pay for a year subscription. Beware--they are scammers. And as for the advice: very limited. The guy kept pushing to go to a far more expensive phone call, then kept nagging for a 5 star review. He did answer my basic question, but it wasn't worth $65 by a long shot.

    The individual who answered did three scam-like things: he signed me up ($39 charge) before I agreed to get help, said he had no help to offer but I got charged anyway, and then he rated himself a '5' before I could react. I could not find any way to undo any of this online, so I quickly cancelled any subscription that might have been created. When I found the charge on my Visa bill I immediately called the company and a pleasant customer service rep said she has removed the charge. Be careful who you deal with in this organization.

    Total scam. And taking advantage of the elderly as well. My 82 year old dad called the number based on a google search. He thought he was talking with Apple (and they let him think he was talking to Apple) about his iPad he was having issues with. They told him they would charge him $1.00. He didn't understand that he would be charged the $46 a week later and because of that, he didn't cancel it either. When I called to cancel, they would not refund the amount and kept asking if his question had been answered, as if that would justify the charges. And for the record, no it wasn't answered as he ended up just buying a new one. Also justified that initial $1 because they donated that to charity - that appears to be true since my dad's credit card bill had multiple $0.10 charges to diabetes, cancer, home4vets, etc. although who knows if those are actual legit charities?

    He said he was never told about the $46, just the $1. Fortunately, we were able to contact the credit card company and notify them that he had been scammed and they immediately and permanently reversed the charge. They also said they would handle any future charges that come through since we did officially cancel and other reviews suggest the scammers continues to charge even after cancellation. My advice - call your credit card company immediately!

    I paid $1 for one question 10 days ago, then got a lot of e-mails from JustAnswer, which I did not read at all, and yesterday they charged me $46 for their membership that I NEVER requested and did not authorize. I called them, they canceled my membership, but refused to return the money. The whole rigmarole with $1 was to get my credit card info, to charge it again later. Jan. 8, 2020.

    Canceled within the trial period and was charged $60.00. Have documentation that proves that I canceled and they still will not refund the $60.00. I think this is a scam and this is how they make their money.

    It was New Year’s Eve. My cat was sick and I had taken him to the vet the day before. He wasn’t doing so well and my vet’s office was closed. I was really worried and stressed about my cat. I found the “Ask a Question” website where I could ask a vet a question for $5, the vet was really great. My Problem is, that after “your 7 day trail” the company automatically starts charging your credit card $29 A MONTH. This is insane! Why would I need a monthly subscription? I have a vet. I contacted the company on the “8th” day, when I saw the $29 charge to my credit card. They would not refund my charge to my card. They said that “I agreed to terms” I don’t even remembering reading the “Terms” Total scam!!!! If you use this website, make sure to cancel “your membership” before the 8 the day!!!! Just horrible!!!!

    Called for help with Microsoft Access. Experts respond to you by email at their convenience, not yours. I tried for an entire day to get a response and finally got one at 4am while I was asleep. When I responded at 8am, no-one got back to me. The information I did receive was comprehensible only to a computer expert which I am not. You cannot ever interact with an expert by phone, only by text or email which is inefficient and unacceptable for me.

    I had an issue with Airbnb. I googled airbnb customer service, and somehow ended up on the Just Answer site. I had to fill out my mastercard number to pay for their 'advice', and was promised a refund asap. The expert I got was a vet! What's a vet going to help me with a booking problem with airbnb!?     I go onto this site to get an answer for a question thinking this was a good idea. I was wrong, I pay $5 for a one time question, just 1 and now I'm being charged $46 for a free 7 day trial, supposedly. I contact to try to work this out and all they can say is that they can't cancel a transaction, even though it states $5 one question, 7 day trial. Then I see that they went ahead and charged me for $46. Now they say there's nothing they can do to help on that but they cancelled my membership that I NEVER requested. So now I have to call the bank and try to get it cancelled that way. So folks be very careful on this site & make sure you hit 1 time, oh hell that won't work seeing that's what I thought I was getting. If you give them your card information you will be charged for what they want to charge. Be very, very, very careful on this site.

Here’s the problem- they NEVER gave me an answer despite three phone calls and multiple times where they said “Your question is a top priority.” Emails sent - automated, meaningless responses.     Beware that you don't only pay for the answer you ask; they enroll you in a membership and charge you 53$/month without you knowing with the credit card information you have provided. When I realized they have already charged me 2 months and was about to charge the 3rd one where my bank has detected fraud activity (thank god). I called them and asked for refund; they cancelled my membership but did not refund my money...

    Updated on 01/07/2020: JustAnswer refused to cancel online--the chat agent disappeared working when I mentioned canceling. Canceling required a LONG telephone call with a representative whose telephone periodically went dead. I was required to lie about the reason for canceling before the representative was satisfied and began the cancelation. In the end, canceling took three hours of determined effort. The company will, no doubt, respond to this review with some believable story, but ask yourself this question. Is a 7-day membership worth three hours of your time just to cancel it?

    Original review: I cannot cancel my membership. The 'Customer Care' specialist disappeared when I wanted to cancel my membership and there is no response anymore. It appears I have to work through my credit card to cancel. This site appears to be a complete scam.

    These people scammed me into a free trial which I paid 5 bucks for but the supposed expert could not even give me an answer to my question. I left the free trial so I could ask another EXPERT but guess, yesterday I was charged $46 which was the last money on my account. So I called, emailed and chatted with the customer service online but they completely ignored my pleas. They said they send out emails before they charge but they never sent me such email. Couldn’t buy gas or get anything to eat because I had no money yesterday. I had to walk to restaurants around to beg for food today which was very shameful. I will never forget what this app did to me this new year. Extremely wicked folks. Hope y’all go bankrupt!

    I signed up today and sent a pic of an antique per the experts request and I never heard back from her. She wanted $34 to speak to me on the phone and I declined and never heard another thing. I requested another expert and I’m still waiting. Clearly they just want more money and don’t want to help you unless you’re throwing money at them. Disappointed.

    I had a question for a hamster I purchased because there weren’t any vets available on Sunday to help when I needed help. I searched for vets but the only help for hamsters was in Katy or at an animal hospital. I decided to try for answers because the trip would be long. I received no help.     I waited at least 30 minutes before a technician was connected with me. And that only happened after I threatened to cancel my membership. The technician that I received kept telling me to give him the model number of my washing machine, which I was completely unable to find. I even bent up the splash panel trying to get it off so that I could look behind it. He never did tell me how to properly remove the splash panel. He got impatient with me, made a couple of snide remarks and finally disconnected from me stating he couldn't help me and maybe someone else could.

    I waited another 20 minutes for the next technician to come on line but he never did. I then cancelled my free trial and hopefully there will be no charges on my credit card. Completely unsatisfied. It seems that a technician should be able to tell you exactly where the model number is. I did locate a tag that gave a serial number and an article number. I assumed the article number took the place of a model number but he said it was not.

    I went online in April, 2019 with a question. I recall cancelling the service. However after reviewing my recent credit card bill I noticed I am still being charged a ridiculous $46 per month. I have never accessed the system since the first question asked. I cancelled the service today (again I recall cancelling last year) and was told I would get $0 in a refund. Beware of this "service".     THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I signed up for $5 and they charged me $40. I took medical advice but never started my monthly membership. Upon reaching out to customer care they very arrogantly and rudely mentioned that they cannot refund even though I had reached within a day of cancellation. Highly discouraging.     If it were not for their membership fee policy, I would have given this useful service 5 stars. However, one week after paying the $5.00 trial fee, a $60.00 charge appeared on my credit card. Since I was "one and done" with Justanswer.com, I went to the website and clicked "cancel membership." Easy enough. As a precaution I contacted a Justanswer rep to make sure my credit card charge was refunded. To my utter amazement I was told the $60 fee was NON-REFUNDABLE! I was told I should have read the fine print in "Section 10" of their terms of membership. Who reads all those terms of agreement?

    Section 10, no less! In this age of increased consumer awareness, I believe any online service with a non-refundable fee policy is doomed. If I had used the service a couple more times over the next month or so I would expect to pay at least some of the fee; but the fee had just showed on my credit card. Justanswer needs to reverse this ridiculously unfair policy. One final note: the $60.00 fee was refunded AFTER I threatened to contact my credit card (which I did) and the BBB (which I am still considering).

    I took out a trial membership and didn't realise that it was going to turn into a full one. No refund is possible as they said it was my responsibility to double check. I wasn't notified, even though the customer service representative told me that they sent an email. Really appalled by the fact that this was not clear and no notification was sent to me. I cancelled as soon as I realised that I had been charged for 3 months, however it is impossible to delete my credit card's details from the account. Be very careful when using this service.

    Some of my experience with the company JustAnswer was excellent. The rest of it, for the last 5 days of my $1 trial, was appalling. I had to talk with 2 supervisors. I was repeatedly told that things would happen, to correct the problems, but those corrections did not happen. Because I had had such a challenging experience, I was given a 2nd week of "free trial" (it actually costs $1.) Instead, the company billed me $52. It took me another 45 minutes of my life to get this fee cancelled - and even then I was informed that it would take 3-5 business days for the $52 that should not have been taken out in the first place to actually be returned to my bank account. I would never, ever use this company again despite the good information given on my first question, in the first two days.

    The other morning I opened an email from Paypal that said my account needed to be verified. I logged out of my browser, opened a new one then proceeded to Paypal. There was an exclamation mark beside my "preferred account". When I clicked on this, nothing happened. I tried several times then went back to the email. At some point a message came up from "Just Answer" that said I could enlist their service for a trial period. Since I was getting nowhere with Paypal, I decided to try it.

    I paid the nominal fee (in US dollars, BTW). Within minutes I was told the whole thing was a scam. Great! I think I'd already figured that out but, at that early hour, I was glad to confirm it. It was worth the nominal fee. BUT!!!! Cancelling seems to be another scam in itself. To cancel, I have to pay another "fee" that translates into around $50 Canadian. I've emailed Just Answer. At this point, there is no resolution and my "trial period" date is fast approaching. To say I am unhappy is a huge UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!

    Perhaps I am being abusive to robots and monkeys by comparing my experience with Justanswer as like conversing with them. I posed a very simple question "I want to buy a new tv. Which brands/models have bluetooth as standard"?     I initially paid the minimal charge to ask a question. Got an answer quickly and it was reasonably accurate (based on further checking on my part). However, they did NOT make clear that I was actually signing up for a monthly charge and I never actually set up an account with them. I didn't check my charge bills for a month or so and when I did, I found 2 months of $53.00 charges. I called customer service to cancel the membership and was willing to eat those two months - after all, I should have been paying much closer attention. I was told my account had been canceled and everything was taken care of.

    A week and a half later there was again the monthly charge on my card! I called in and was told that I have never spoken with anyone there and had never canceled my account!!! So - I was flat out lied to by the previous customer service rep. Now I get to wait until next month to see if I was lied to again by this one.

    Answers may be fast and good but they'll have you for the rest of your life.

    This website is an absolute SCAM! I signed up to message with a veterinarian, and I asked this person if I would be charged more than the original $1 I signed up for. They said no. This person worked for the company, so I trusted their word, that I would not be billed again. Maybe it was my fault for believing someone who couldn't even speak proper English. When messaging with this veterinarian, she had typos in almost every single message, but I gave her a 5 star rating because she helped me with my pet and she seemed nice.

    A week or something later I was charged a membership fee of $29. I tried talking to customer service but they refused to give me a refund. I told them that I was specifically told by a representative of the company that I would not be charged additional money. They said that they had made it clear to me that I would be charged for a membership fee unless I cancelled it. When I put in my card information there was NOTHING that said anything about a membership fee or being charged more than $1.

    So I asked the customer service representative to show me proof that this was made "clear to me," (that I would be paying for a membership) because I knew that it had not been. They could not even do that. After asking them for proof, I waited a minute for them to respond, and they said, "Did you get that?" They had not sent anything, and I asked twice more but they still did not send anything. At that point I knew that I 100% was being scammed. I cancelled my membership with the customer service representative, and was told that I would not be charged further.

    However, when I called my bank, they told me that JustAnswer had not cancelled my membership and that I was still signed up to be charged monthly! My bank blocked them from my account so that I cannot be charged by JustAnswer ever again. I cannot believe that after cancelling my membership, they would have still charged me monthly!! This is how JustAnswer makes money, by scamming people. I have read so many other reviews just like mine. If my membership was not used, there should have been no problem with getting a refund. I have dealt with this before, so I know what it is like being scammed. I contacted my bank to dispute the transaction, and it took 2 weeks or so to process, but I got my money back. IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED LIKE ME, CONTACT YOUR BANK AND DISPUTE THE TRANSACTION. YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

    JustAnswer was not a good experience for me at all. I signed up, spent the $5, took the time to shoot photos, make measurements and submit my enquiry to 'an expert'. I waited 11 hours and when I asked whether anyone was there I received NOTHING in response aside from a prompt to spend an additional $49 to make a phone call. Customer Service that is below poor and a service that I would NEVER EVER in my right mind recommend to anyone.

    Sometimes I feel like when humans get sick it is easier to see a dr within 24 hours than an animal. My cat was sick, my vet of 20 years was not in (not her fault but she only works a few days a week and when she is in she is booked solid). Work is being done, but sometime the neurolandscape of the body cannot be helped at certain moments. Dr. ** checked in on the newly sick kitty everyday, recommenced knowledge and ideas and frankly just being there as another person involved provides comfort. That is priceless to me. I never knew this existed but I’m glad it does.

    I called because, probably when Verizon activated a previous iPhone, my wife’s gmail account picked up an alias that I knew nothing about. Specifically, ** (with no dot) became ** (with a dot). Jo-with-a-dot worked fine on her iPhone and iPad for several years. I, of course, had no idea that my wife wasn’t using jo-with-no-dot.

    When I activated her new iPad I had to recreate her gmail account and I used the account she’d had for many years: jo-with-no-dot. OMG! Everything hit the fan! My wife had been giving all her friends and shopping sites the jo-with-a-dot address for several years and none of those messages was downloading to her iPad. I went onto your website to manage her account, jo-with-a-dot and sure enough: I didn’t see any of the test messages I’d sent to jo-with-a-dot. I tried to sign into jo-with-a-dot but no way. No password worked and if there were any recovery contacts at all, none was any of our email address or phone numbers.

    So I googled :-) how to get support and $39 later I was in a chat with your Expert. It took a while, but (s)he finally figured out that jo-with-a-dot is just an alias of the account jo-with-no-dot. They are the same account. I don’t think (s)he ever figured out the alias caused so much trouble—I’d guess because it was created by accident and therefore lacked some strand of communication with the existing account. But after (s)he got into the account and sent a test email from my computer, BAM! All the missing jo-with-a-dot messages showed up on the new iPad. And when I tried again to log onto jo-with-a-dot I got straight into jo-with-no-dot.

    The matter turned out to be fixing an objective glitch that required the Expert’s knowledge and experience. Two days later I came back to find out why the inbox on the Google website didn’t have as many messages in it as the inbox on the iPad. Long story short, that turned to be not a glitch but my own unfamiliarity with how to manage gmail. The Expert was patient and thorough and I learned what I needed to know. The bottom line of this evaluation is this: I can attest that the Exert is not only very good a resolving objective glitches but also good at giving a tutorial to someone who needed it without making that someone (me) feel stupid. I don’t see how any Expert could do a better job than that. :-)

On Dec 10th, a debit appeared on my bank account under the name TODAY'S DEBIT for $28. I contacted the bank who informed me that the transaction was posted by Just Answer. I chatted with just answer CSR and was told I didn't respond in 7 days to cancel. The transaction of $5 did not explain any trial or additional charges. Asked for my money back and was told no refunds. I would never recommend justanswer. I did not even receive an invoice for this "membership".

    It was late at night and my cat was having some health issues, so I quickly needed help deciding if she should go to the emergency or if it was something that could wait. I got a good answer that matched my vet's diagnosis and it was nice. HOWEVER, you CAN NOT cancel this from your phone. Their mobile site wouldn't allow me to. Meaning I'd have to call customer service... I avoided doing so until my trial was up, because I just hate waiting and talking to people on the phone.

    So on day 7 of my 7 day trial, they charge me $30. I thought I still had a day, so I call customer service. Apparently they are counting day 7 as the "8th day". Not sure how that's adding up! My account says I ordered my trial on a Wednesday. Doesn't this mean that my trial would be on its last day the following Wednesday?? I've never had an issue like this before.

    Oh, and guess what! It's nonrefundable. Meaning unlike other services, they scam you in the terms to not be able to refund... If it's an hour over your trial period, even if you haven't used it, they will charge you. For instance, Amazon Prime charged us unexpectedly for a year and Amazon Customer Service immediately refunded it when we asked because we hadn't used it. Just search the internet for free answers... I wouldn't give this company my credit card info ever again!

    If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I canceled the $5 charge back in September and I never asked for a membership with JustAnswer, now I have been charged $92 that's non-refundable. This company is a SCAM and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, I would advise everyone to find a different service. Their customer service is terrible as well, no help whatsoever just a reminder that "when you signed up, it was in the terms" but I don't remember ever seeing it there. Save your time, your family, and friends from this company because they will take your money in a heartbeat and tell you it's non-refundable. I'm just a kid, that charge put me short on a car payment and they have taken no responsibility for it.

And then it is very difficult to get your membership cancelled once you discover that you are paying the monthly fee. I guess if you have a lot of questions it might be worth it but in my case, I just had one question and that was not really answered satisfactorily.     Thank you for cancelling my membership in which I did not want from the beginning. I need my money credited back from July and the pending charge for December reversed as well. I spoke with a Lady earlier telling her to cancel my membership and refund my monies after being informed what the $46 per month charge was for. Also asked to speak to a manager in which she said the manager was unavailable and that she would have them call me back. The manager's name she said was Abby and I would receive a call within 30 minutes. I still have not received the call and that was over 2 hours ago!

    I explained to her in detail after she pulled up the questions asked several months ago, explaining to her my eighty-year-old mother was having an issue with her printer and she saw a chat box online to get some assistance and she understood it to be just a one-time charge in which my card was provided in order to get her printer fixed. My eighty-year-old Mother was unaware of a continued membership as explained by the rep. I spoke to earlier. You can see the service has never been used except once. I feel Just Ask's program was very misleading to my Mother who again is 80 years old. They offered nothing of reimbursement although they could see only one question was asked.
