I have been working with Viet on recovering functionality to my apps on my laptop after a recent Windows 10 update messed up things. Viet has been great. I highly recommend him. Several apps would not work but they do now.

The day I signed up I asked for a refund. Your expert asked for an additional $60 for an answer. Do not charge my account. Your service was worthless. This is the second time I have asked for a refund. Your website specifically states that If I am not satisfied I am entitled to a refund.

I wanted answer to my question and I received it propmpty and confidently. The expert followed up and made sure my question was answered and suggested that I confirm with professional engineer. Have had excellent customer service and advice for repairs for 2013 Hyundai and Nissan. Technicians walked me through the steps I should do before going to a dealer. After the recommendations they followed up with further info and other websites to look at to help further the diagnosis. Would definitely recommend this service and will definitely use them again.

First I was answered by a lawyer that wasn't familiar with the law for the nature of the question I was asking. It took some time for the next lawyer to get back to me but when they did, the answer I was given put my stress level fully at ease and they instructed me completely on what steps to take if I required further action and made themselves available had I needed further assistance. I am very impressed and very grateful!

Inflexible and does not honor satisfaction guarantee. JustAnswer's website states "if not satisfied, users can request a refund." Yes, you can request a refund, but don't expect to receive it. Avoid this site at all costs. It is not worth the frustration.

The vet I spoke with was really helpful. Initial charge was $5 which was fine. My vet was closed so just wanted to make sure my dog was okay. I set a reminder in my phone to cancel but I've spent the last couple of days in bed due to being sick and missed the notification to cancel on my phone. It's 2 days past the cancellation date and they are not willing to refund any of the membership fee that it automatically charges you after 7 days. So make sure if you're just using it once to cancel directly after because they definitely do not care.

LOCKED door on WHIRLPOOL clothes washer. IT was 3 AM when I called after several hrs of trying ALL the sensors to release the DOOR. TALKED w/ AUSTIN & he JUSTAnswered my Q & had the door open in 2-3 minutes. NOW I know how to manage that door!! LIKE the service BUT, wondered about the $5. 'entry fee" then the SERVICE charge of $3.?? Shouldn't you be more upfront?

I could not connect the ControlCenter4 link to the scanner from my computer (and still cannot). Pandu ** worked with me for more than 2 hours until I was about to fall asleep. I think it is on its way. I will connect with him again on Tuesday. He was so kind to delay the completion of the service call because we are in different time zones and I was really tired! I was quite confused when Just Answer started interacting with me. I had originally gone to Microsoft because I had a problem with Word. Why was I getting Just Answer. Was this a scam I needed to avoid? Microsoft did not prepare me by telling me that Just Answer was their service to respond to my problem. Next, I was asked to provide credit card information and to pay $1 that was to be refunded. Again, RED FLAGS!!! Was this a scam. Finally I put 12-and 19-together and understood this was Microsoft's response and not a scam. With that understanding I communicated with the Just Answer person and they straightened out my problem with Word. Why would Microsoft ever imagine that everyone would know intuitively that Just Answer was a safe response when the original site visited was Microsoft?

Angora Goat with a skin problem. Dr Mike could not have helped me more. He asked a lot of questions, talked me through treatments, medications and sent me links to helpful articles. I needed an immediate answer to a vexing question about state law. At the time I found the website, my keyboard was not working and I could only write using a very slow and clunky on-screen keyboard. The legal advisor who addressed my question was very patient and was able to find the obscure section of state code that fully answered my question. We had rented a house in Cape Coral, and finally changed our mind, choosing not to go. We thought we had 48 hours like most of the rental sites to cancel, but their policy is absolutely no refund. So I checked with Just Answer to find out if I was in my right to ask for my money back. I realize that this kind of fraud is common in the writing community and that scamming companies like these prey upon the vulnerability of writers via the defects of writers' virtues. These con artist companies are a lot like scammers who prey upon the elderly.

I had this issue three times - contacted Just Answers - had them do a remote fix on my computer - the first two times issue came back - the second time I was emailed instructions as to self fix the problem. Issue here was the instructions did not match the screens I was told to visit to fix. The third time - yesterday - I spent a lot of time trying to use my cell phone and computer to work with the tech - it would have been soooo much easier to be able to talk to him as going back and forth between the two machines was difficult. Got the issue fixed along with new instructions to fix future issues on my own.. I confirmed the fix routine and it works.. Over all a good experience as tech knew what he was doing.

Most of us DIY’ers think we can find anything on the internet and do it ourselves. But we spend countless hours researching and some time more confused by many opinions posted. I was there and decided to use JustAnswer and in matter of few minutes I was chatting with Kyle, a certified tech by the car manufacturer, resolving the problem. My Yorkie appeared to have ear mites, bought Hartz ear mite meds. On day 3, 3 hrs after drops in ear he started to whine, cry, rub his ears intensely, shake his head and heavy panting. I rinsed ears as directed on box but no better. I scrambled online for vet (no car), I found Just Answer. They took info, I entered 5.00 and waited for text from Dr. I rinsed ears again frantic I poisoned my dog. I received text back and Dr. Asked a few more questions and determined the meds were too potent. He sent a link for other drops to help him also soothe him on Amazon. Perfect, I have Amazon Prime.
I noticed right then after the 2nd ear flush he quieted down. I was SO RELIEVED that I didn't hear "rush him to ER vet", which is what I was going to do along with Uber each way (no car). He also told me that although it sounded like possible mites it could also be ear infection or both. I learned a lesson to not diagnose my baby myself. Thankful now that I didn't have to go to ER. After a power outage I had to restore the settings on my microwave oven and I accidentally put it in Demo Mode. Sheesh. Lucky for me I found Just Answers online and Mark was terrific. He did the necessary research and found the model-specific code to exit Demo Mode for my Panasonic microwave. It was an enormous relief and made my entire weekend as I use it endlessly.

I sign in for $5 SMS legal advice on the 28th of Nov and did not sign up for ongoing services. I realised that my account had monthly deductions of $66 from December till now with a total amount of $198. I asked for a refund via phone. It was hung up. Went for a chat to ask for help with a lady named Pearl and she left the chat room. I am devastated with this experience.

I asked for an answer to one question and when I checked my credit card online I found they had charged me for a full membership with zero notice. They went on to try and charge my credit card for charity donations that I never authorized. The charges were in $0.10 increments and never authorized by me. I reported this company to my bank credit card department and got ALL my money back, including the rip off membership that I A. never was notified of and B. the rip off "charity donations they tried to take, with zero authorization.
Stay totally clear of these scammers unless you want to find out that they just access your credit card for any B.S. they dream up. I had to cancel my credit card and get a new one so these scum bags couldn't rip me off any further. Not worth the money. Not even worth it even if it was FREE! I checked in my so called 'account' to see if I missed something regarding these charity charges but there is zero on their website or in 'account' to stop this or to authorize it. TOTAL scam and total attempt to just rip off the public, yet the Better Business Bureau gives these scum bags an A+ rating. Makes me think these pricks are paying off the BBB for the fake rating. They have in excess of 2000 complaints!

I was sucked into this site, I had a question and I did not realize that I was signing up for a membership, if I did not cancel within 7 days. When I saw the charge to my credit card dated 2/18/2020 for $50.00, I immediately started a online chat. I told them I did not want a membership, and was told, I was locked in. No refund, and was just cut off by the service representative.

I made the mistake of clicking somewhere on their site so that my 'trial' membership kicked in and then there were recurring charges every month for $66 I could not get rid of. I looked at their site multiple times and could not find a way to cancel. I eventually found a phone number on the Better Business website and managed to cancel but not until I had spent a few hundred dollars for their subscription.
Folks, there isn't anything they are providing that you probably couldn't find just Googling it. I would stay clear of this company. They say they have a good rating on the Better Business Bureau website but if you look, and look at the number of complaints all about not being able to cancel recurring charges, should give you pause. I did not do what you are doing now: research this company before I handed over my credit card info. Just read the complaints on the BBB website and draw your own conclusions. I wish I had a warning like this before I engaged with them. If your money was my money, I would not go anywhere near this company. Do a more thorough search on your question. These people don't bring anything to the party you can't do yourself. Stay clear. There. I have done my civic duty. Good luck finding what you need to know.

I needed a quick answer regarding a legal issue and found JustAnswer online. I started their trial period for $5 for one week; then to be billed $60 each month. I wrote my question and submitted it to them. I then was directed to a screen with "find attorney", "reading your question", and "contact the attorney". I waited about five minutes and it stayed on the "find attorney" button. I then clicked on an estimated wait button, and was notified my wait was about 8 minutes. An hour later, it was still "find attorney", so I clicked on the estimated wait button again, and the answer was 8 minutes again. There was a help button on the page and I noted my issue, but received an answer that all reps were busy and to call them instead.
I went to their home page and was able to speak with a rep. I was not given any real reason why the wait was so long, and why it kept saying only 8 minutes. I asked to cancel my account; was given some options; some "free" stuff; I said please cancel; was told the supervisor would be about a minute to be online; took a few seconds, and he also kept making me various offers, to which I replied to just cancel my account. Eventually I had to tell him I wanted nothing to do with them and to cancel my account, which he finally did. It cost me $5 to go through wasting my time and being frustrated. I do not recommend this company due to their poor service.

Website does not give what the monthly cost. They do not email you what the monthly cost will be. I had thought it was $27/month. When I got a charge for $53 I was rather surprised. After spending a lot of time with their support they refunded $26. The service is good. $27 which I thought was the price is reasonable. $53 is high. In any case they need to have the price upfront and center on their website. Their reps couldn't even find a page where it is listed. This is a deceptive practice. Had they published the price I would have given them five stars. But since they engage in a deceptive practice I reduced it to three stars.

A Car question will cost less than a Legal question in most cases, and while the Experts have the option of setting the price for a phone call, a 5 minute phone call will, in most cases, be less expensive than a phone call that lasts for an hour.
The charge amount for the question, or for any additional service, is always presented to the customer before the charge is posted.

I got no results from six different "experts" and abandoned this option for a fix on my computer. This morning I look at my bank account and they have charged me $46.00 for my membership. $5 + $20 + $46 = 0.

I reached out to this company in November and was assured there wouldn't be further deductions from my account as I cancelled right after receiving the appraisal. So I was surprised in December when they took $28 from my account. I called and was assured it wouldn't happen again. It's February now and they are STILL taking $28/mo from my account! I called in yet again today. I am severely hearing impaired and begged the heavily accented lady to transfer me to someone I could understand. She kept refusing saying she could help me. Did she? I have no idea because of my hearing. Best I could tell I got an apology and my "membership" is cancelled.
This is the 2nd time I've requested cancellation but I have no faith the debits will stop since they didn't back in December. I am on disability and cannot afford the luxury of $28/month for someone to be on call to answer questions for me and I'm out now over $100 when it was supposed to be $5 so BUYER BEWARE! Apologies don't pay my bills and that's all you will get after they've gone rogue and taken unauthorized monies from you!

I was looking for assistance on my Honeywell Speaks Z wave not showing a program button so I could sync it with my TC Connect alarm app. The online start was very good, but I never got a contact by the Technician that was committed to happen within 30 minutes. I have run out of time waiting well past the 30 minutes with no reply. Very inconvenient because I live 2 hours away from the place where the issues is. Updated on 02/16/2020: This is a follow-up to prior complaint of the past week. Since I contacted you, JustAnswer.com has reversed 1 of 2 monthly fees. The first fee should also be reversed. I did not knowingly sign a contract. The mission of the company is to give professional verbal advice. I never contacted Just Answer by phone. I have never spoken to anyone identifying themselves as an employee of JustAnswer. I consider this billing practice fraudulent and the reversal of one of two fees fraudulent. Even the dollar fee is fraudulent as I was not aware that I would be charged. Can you imagine being charged for every query to be charged! Come on, folks!!
Original Review: I was unaware that by merely clicking on the response that I was in a contract which had to be cancelled within 7 days to avoid ongoing monthly fees of $46.50. Not until I received my bank statement did I have any awareness of the entity known as JUSTANSWER.COM. I don't know why I was charged $29. When I tried to use the "free trial" the vet I was connected with didn't even help me! He told me "it would be easier to speak over the phone" and that "it wouldn't cost me extra since I wasn't the one to request a phone call" so I told him that he could call me. Then he tells me "ok well go ahead and request a call". HOW IS THAT HELPFUL?!? He literally just got done saying since I didn't request it it would cost me and then tells me to go ahead and request it. This whole setup is a scam and costing people money when they are in a panic and looking for help!
I ended up calling my local Emergency Vet and they helped me FOR FREE! Actually helped me not give me the run around and wasting my time while my dog was in need! I will never use this site ever again nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. Very unhappy with your service. Very unprofessional. Using customers for their money in their time of need, such a shame!

Useless, waste of time and money! Totally false advertising and false promise! I cant believe all those positive feedback, I bet they are all paid reviews! I started my trial membership 5 days ago. I submitted my questions regarding a relatively simple property rental/purchase issue. I still didn't get any answer. I submitted same inquiry 3 times and none of them answered, first one picked by a lawyer and he said it's not his specialty and he will refer me someone else but nothing happened and no answer to my following messages.
Second time the notification showed a lawyer handling the case, but then the inquiry is closed without any answer. Third one, not picked up and not answered at all! I send 2 emails to support, both answered with almost same content and they said "oh sorry, we are marking your inquiry as priority and should be answered shortly" but still nothing after 2 days. They don't deliver what they promised as a business and worse waste time of people with in need of help. I don't even know if what they are doing, "false promising and advertising" is legal at all, clearly a proper law service can answer this not JustAnswer.

When I asked for my money back, they asked for a confirmation email that was never sent. This is a SCAM!!! Never sign up unless you want to waste $50 monthly.

When I was submitting my question, $65 membership was hidden somewhere that I didn't see. Probably, it designed somehow that you can't see easily. They charged me $5 trial and then $65 after a week. I immediately contacted them to ask about canceling my membership and refund me. They weren't responsive at all. They knew that I'm canceling anyway. Why they should care? This company is such a rip off. I asked my question, got a lame short answer. Then when I tried to cancel twice they ignored my Cancel Request, then charged me and would not issue my REFUND! I am so upset and will tell the world about how they are terrible. Instead of helping people, they are robbing them. They should be ashamed.

I submitted an item for repair at a local merchant and received a written receipt for the cost. Six weeks later, they called and informed me that the price had increased. They also told me that the repair had so far not even started. I expressed concern at the price increase, but they told me that I would have to pay the increase. After consulting with a lawyer, I learned that I did not have to pay the increase. I called the merchant, and after mentioning that I had consulted a lawyer, the merchant quickly changed their mind and now I only have to pay the original amount.

I have a problem with my printer. At first the tech I was talking to gave me some instructions and signed out. The second tech I dealt with gave me other instructions that weren’t anywhere even close to my problem. The THIRD tech I spoke with went over my problem, instructions, and results. He instructed me to try yet another procedure. He asked me when we purchased the printer (12 to 18 months ago). At that time he informed me that I would have to contact the manufacturer of my printer to fix my problem. That is who I THOUGHT I was talking with. I didn’t think my printer was too old for a tech to know something about it.

Many of these older, cheaper, printers are designed to be thrown away when they break, and in the case of your printer, it appears to have an undiagnosed hardware issue, which would likely require you to take the entire machine apart. Ultimately, the technicians that were assisting you referred you back to the manufacturer as a result of the age of the machine (3+ years) and the generic nature of the hardware error.

Our TV set went to a black screen while watching a program on PBS. It had sound but no picture. Since it was late I didn't do anything to check. This online resource is the best! I have utilized Just Answer’s assistance twice. Extremely caring Veterinary advice during the time of a hurricane evacuation. Unfortunately, my tiny 2 pound Yorkie, Lulu had a liver shunt. The advice and guidance she gave me provided assistance using my own household items to keep her alive for 3 days until I could get her to her veterinarian.
Attorney advice when my own only wanted fast money and wouldn’t answer my questions. He actually told me to take a very small settlement or he would not represent me beyond this point. I counter offered prior to my inquiry here, and got 4 times the settlement offer! My attorney who never called me for weeks suddenly has called 4 times a day, left voicemails and sent emails trying to get my final approval of the settlement. I needed advise on the jargon in the final settlement and received it here. I certainly no longer trusted my actual attorney, but I couldn’t fire him during negotiations. Invaluable advice both times.

I replaced the thermostat for my heat pump and, although, the instructions said that the re-wiring was straight forward it wasn't. Color codes did not match. After reading other websites for help I finally texted Just Answer. After a few questions about my problem, I was connected to BillyHVAC. Again I described my problem, and sent him some photos of the old and new wiring setup. Almost immediately he suggested I change two wires and told me how to program my new thermostat to match my system. Within minutes my system was working perfectly. If you're really stuck with a problem, Just Answer just might be the answer.

If you reading this it means you trying to work on your vehicle problems yourself. It was hard for me to decide to pay Just Answer for the first time. To my surprise I had professional and experienced Mechanic to answer my question. He guided me in the right direction, provided diagrams and part numbers I needed to buy, and in the end, I was able to replace the part, and get back on the road. I was trying Just Answer for a couple of years with different vehicles I was working on, before decided to subscribe to get unlimited questions answered. I contacted Justanswer.com thinking I was contacting HP. My printer wasn't working and somehow I was connected to Just Answer. They charged me $1.00 to help. They did not solve my problem. 3 months later, I realized I was being billed for a "membership" of $46.00 per month that I never agreed to. I never "signed" a contract, nor did I agree to one! When I contacted them, to cancel my membership, they refunded only the current month, not all the charges. Shame on me for not checking my credit card balances closely, as I assumed (again, stupid on my part) they were refunding the entire amount I was charged.
Today I called and found out that if I had called within 90 days, I would have been refunded my money. My initial call was within the 90 days, and the only refund I got was for one month, not all 3. Shame on them for not refunding all my money at the time. Very disappointed in this company, for charging a membership when it was never brought to my attention on the initial phone call!

Updated on 01/23/2020: I've been liaising with your team 4 times in the last 24 hours, this is the 4th time I have explained that at NO time did I receive emails from your organisation confirming that I had signed up for a monthly membership. Neither have I received emails confirming monthly payments from my credit card. Your actions are criminal, you owe me 35 months @ $95 per month - over $3000 Justanswer have taken unlawfully from my credit card - plus interest.
Where does your company get off on stealing over $3000+ interest from a consumer from April 2017 to January 2020? Read my question history, I posted 1 question, check my history after that, no questions asked since early 2017 - what does that tell you? And yet you're still charging me $95 per month without sending confirmation emails to me about taking monthly payments from my credit card? Send the forensics to check my email account because they will find absolutely NO email correspondence from your organisation! I want 35 months @95 per month reimbursed to me immediately!
Original Review: Be careful, Just Answer were taking monthly membership payments of $95 per month for the past two years. They lure you in with a $5 promo 'ask a question' which I used. However, according to their customer service whom I called this morning the monthly payments were charged because I did not cancel the promo offer after 7 days of service use which meant I was automatically signed up for payments of $95 per month. This is daylight robbery, this type of practice should not be allowed, there should be measures in place to protect consumers. I would suggest sending 2+ emails to the consumer reconfirming the offer of cancellation. I did not receive this at all. I do not recommend this service at all, if you do proceed read the fine print otherwise you're out of pocket for eternity - or until you discover the monthly charges but in my case, not soon enough.

I signed on for free trial for one question. Was told pay 5.00 and I can go back and forth asking question until I understood. The company is now charging my debit card 50.00.. I was lied to, at my lowest time in my life needing just one person I can trust can't even trust a lawyer!! I don't have 50.00.

I have an issue going on with a car dealership around improper repairs that they performed. I was set up with Lou who had many years of experience with my type of vehicle. He was able to help me cut through the lies and excuses that the dealership was making, and add support to my case against them. He also provided me an 800 number to vehicle manufacturer to discuss what was going on and file a complaint against the dealership. Hoping to stay away from taking them to court, but if I have to my case is stronger because of Lou.

Intermittent electrical problem with 2017 Subaru Outback. In a phrase, “this guy knows his stuff“! I have had an intermittent problem with my reverse cross traffic system going offline with no obvious cause, such as a bump in the road, sudden braking or acceleration. This followed three trips to the dealer after they replaced the sensor that had been damaged when I backed into a post. They had given up on my car, but the advice I got here will help me when I go to another Subaru repair shop.

I lost my instrument cluster, radio controls and heat/air controls as well as the displays for all of them. The tech. had me test a number items, ruling things out along the way. He eventually narrowed it to a couple fuses, then we found the problem. Anyone that has ever tried to track down an electrical problem in a car knows what a difficult task it can be. I was amazed that he was able to track it down remotely. The issue was repaired in less than 90 minutes. (If I already had my tools out, it would have been completed sooner.) I was extremely impressed with his diagnostic abilities and ability to explain everything in plain language.

I asked a question for a structural engineer that was very straightforward. I got no answer after an hour and contacted Customer Service. They promised to escalate it and get me an answer that they said is normally answered within 10-15 minutes. After another hour I contacted them again and they promised to get me an answer very quickly. Here we are 24 hours later and still no answer. Save your money and time.

I was concerned because my dog ate 2 pieces of fabric and only one had passed through. It had been 2 weeks. My dog showed no signs of discomfort but I wanted to know what I could do to help it along. I was also concerned about how long it could be in her without causing damage (I.e: infection, etc) and what to look for if she didn’t pass it. The vet suggested pumpkin at each meal. Here is her reply --- "HAHA that's hilarious but I think I will be staying here." To me that was sort of a rude reply and rather sarcastic. It wasn't meant to be "hilarious". This is a great app. I used it to judge if I should take my Jewels pup in to the vet. I decided to, it turns out she has floating kneecaps which is common in her size and breed. I also recommend looking up big procedures like surgery on YouTube before taking the jump. I'm glad I did. It saved me a bunch of money and gave other options to take care of the problem.

A dentist made my mother top dentures but she has been having trouble with them fitting and they make her gag. I suspected they were not made properly but she was forced to wear them anyway. I sent in pictures of the mess and was given the best advice of what was wrong with them and what needed to be fixed. I am content now that I was right and will be taking the messed up mouth piece back to the dentist to get it made correctly.

Recently, I purchased a very expensive pair of thermal binoculars. I loaned them to my brother in law and when he returned them to me, something wasn't working properly. These binoculars are highly technical and I had no idea how to repair the problem. To make matters worse, the manual that comes with them is very poorly written, offering minimal information. However, the company, Pulsar, did refer to Just Answer as a possible for problem solving. I contacted Just Answer and explained my problem and "Rusty" started to respond. After a rather long exchange, everything is working properly. The technician, Rusty, was incredibly patient and very helpful. These binoculars are very high tech and incredibly sensitive. Rusty made things very clear and understandable and the exchange of information was perfect.
