It's a scam. I was promised that $1 would be charged to my card and it would be refunded. Instead, it was not refunded and a $46/month subscription was set up without my knowledge. They refused to refund either. The cheaters had a statement buried in an email that they would do it so that my credit card company would not support a dispute. It's a scam.

The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to the recurring billing. The membership bills at the end of the 7-day trial in order to avoid an interruption in service.

Dr. ** was great at answering my questions. He addressed my issues for my medical problems and was very reassuring about what was going on with me. I provided him with my medical appointment information and what had been told to me but he added the answers to questions that had come up after I had seen my doctors. I felt very comfortable with the advice he had given me.

I bought a painting at Goodwill because I just felt in my bones it was worth more than $7.99! My research dead ended at an auction site with a portrait by same artist that sold for $100 or more! For $5 Just Answer quickly told me that it was a hobbyist with no biography. They asked for the link to the site I found the painting with same signature, asked for pictures of my painting.! Couldn’t find my ssa 1099 form. Lev told me, that at least at this point, I had to contact social security directly. They are working from home and were able to help me immediately. She actually answered the phone on the first ring.

"Expert" had no expertise and referred me to my car dealer to solve the problem. "I can't help you. Go somewhere else. That will be $5 please." The company makes it extremely difficult to find the "Opt Out" clause on its website. So I also paid for an additional month. Total: $5 + $34 = $39 for no help at all.

I was trying to get a question answered an they started out ok but then said they were sending me to a secure site to get me question answered for 5.00 thought ok. Then I needed to ask some more about other fees but it does not let you. They want to charge a credit card 5.00 then 35.00 monthly an can cancel anytime. They do this hoping you do not and they keep getting auto pay. This tactic has been around way too long. If they were good they would not worry about you coming back and spending more. No they would rather trap you first. I myself would stay clear of using them at all.

There are actually 2 payment options for the site. You can opt into the membership program and pay a fee once a month to post multiple questions to the site each month, or you can pay-per-question, which might work better if you are using the site less frequently.
In looking at the account tied to your E-mail it appears that you have an account and it is not on a membership, which means that instead of paying the monthly fee for access to the Experts on the site, you would only need to post a deposit on a question by question basis.

I submitted a question regarding a Landlord/Tenant issue. The Lawyer responded with nothing that would offer advice that was viable or a good direction to move forward. During this Pandemic the options were just not feasible. Did not offer anymore. I rated him then he replied to request my $ 5 dollars back as I would need it and then proceeded to tell me my rating said more about me than him, He could care less, what a Rude and Insulting Man he was. For a Company wanting to be Top Notch, he was an Epic Failure and should not be with you, I am sure he is horrible to his clients as he was to me. Yes I still say this was a complete waste of time and he agreed he wasted his time. His exact words. He acted like a toddler on a playground that didn't get the swing.

Was sarcastic about the $5. I spent for my 7 day trial. Told me I was harassing him. Not the type of company I would do business with. Did not understand my question even though I repeated it 2 times.

I just got a new phone, and the wifi was dropped. I could not get calls in/or make out calls. Plus I had to do updates. Had not a clue why my phone was not working for three weeks or so?? Through the company I looked for a site, and got help, from Just Answer. I was given a movie thingy to watch.

I had an issue with a tenant and the lawyers at JustAnswer were amazing and very prompt. It was well worth the $5 charge. For an extra charge, which is significant compared to the $5, You can also have a phone chat with an attorney but my situation didn’t warrant it. I would highly recommend this service!

Needed to know about warranty work. Also addendums. I was pleased for the most part. The site generates pop ups suggesting phone calls over typing and sending it to your help person. Calls are quicker but cost extra. That's okay once but could get expensive after that if you need to journal and keep calling. Great site though. Helped me a lot. Scott

It was late at night and my dog seemed to be in a lot of pain. I was sick with worry and debating taking him to the very expensive 24 hour emergency vet. When I got online to lookup the number I noticed an ad for JustAnswer. She helped me realize that while my dog did need a trip to the vet, it wasn't really necessary to take him that night. She helped me figure out how to get him as comfortable as possible until our vet opened the next morning. Thanks to her I saved a ton of money and my dog seemed to actually be comfortable throughout the night.

I had RAREWARES (screen name) who Is an Antiques and Collectibles Researcher. She was fantastic. She was able to research and appraise my great-great grandmothers 1889 Hapsburg of Austria Porcelain China, Victor Victrola, Franklin treadle sewing machine, Atlas depression glassware and other miscellaneous items. Items are family heirlooms which we will never sell but it is nice to know their age and value. Definitely ask for RAREWARES next time you need an appraisal.

Needed legal advise in regard to property, a problem arose on a weekend and I was able to get legal advise on that very day, the response was very fast. This was on a 7 day trial membership. If I was ever to need legal advice again I would certainly pay a monthly subscription fee.

Turn signal failure. Your expert showed me that after changing lamp and then taillight housing the method necessary to complete the repair is to change out and re-program a controller...Only in a BMW...At least now I know another $500 part and re-program the controller.. Unbelievable.

My wash was almost completed when it kept on running and running. I didn't know what was wrong and the washer instruction manual did not help me. There was a phone number to call. I called, described the situation and ended up resolving the issue. In hindsight it was a lot simpler than I feared. The technician was very patient. He explained things clearly to me. I can't do cut and paste too well so I missed out on that. I will try to do it later. I would recommend "JustAnswer" to a friend!

The answer I received would of been good if I had gave the correct information. BMW mechanic. He was really good. And very helpful. We have had the car fixed now. He said it needed new ignition. It did not but I gave wrong information. Then he told us it need diagnostic done on the car which was done. Now the problem is solved.

A weird situation occurred. Someone unknown draw a Ford 4x4 into my garage and left it there. Upon calling police they could not tow it, since there was no access problem nor was the vehicle reported stolen. After consulting neighbors and friends I found that no one knew the owner. There were identification cards in the vehicle. Police called the appropriate police and home listed. Found out that both father and son (same name) were already in jail.
I called AAA and they were reluctant to tow. They wanted police to be present and to designate impound lot, but AAA would not bring it into lot. Also I would be liable for any damages. My own car insurance agent had no clue. So I called your legal service. The response was rapid and clear. I was advised to get a citation from the police and that would take care of liability for me and the tow company.
I called the police district and they were issuing a General Conditions Report. With that I called the towing agent and he proceeded to tow the truck away. He left a sign indicating where the vehicle could be found and reclaimed. The advice I received from you was the only clear and helpful information, save for the police recommending a towing company. I had a horrible experience with a AC installer who overcharged me, put in a unit that was too small, then got angry at me, screamed at me, threatened me, and refused to right his wrong. I was able to get sound advice, and a somewhat peace of mind after texting with a Just Answer lawyer. I took his advice and am now on the way to receiving the help that I as a consumer deserves. My VIZIO tv kept dropping my connection to the internet. I would try to reinstate the internet, but that did not work. I called VIZIO support. They tried to solve the problem but were unable to do this. Since my tv was out of warranty, they advised me to contact a tv repair service to replace the internet connection inside the tv. I contacted Just Answer and a service provider named Aris came on, chatted with me advising that this is an endemic problem with VIZIO tv's. Nothing I would do would resolve this problem. Instead, he advised me to get a WiFi Extender and an ethernet cable, connect both to the tv. THIS WORKED WONDERFULLY well and I can now connect to the internet and get my NETFLIX, Amazon Prime and any other streaming service I want. I give Aris the highest performance rating possible. Estate Law. I had a better experience through Just Answer for $5 than attorney for $3,500. She probated will but was unable to provide answers and instructions for the remaining responsibilities as independent executor. She Informed me that as independent executor that I needed an approval from the heirs before I could sell the property and I had to wait 20 days for their answer. Incorrect, I only need approval if I sold under market value. This held up the sale because people didn't want to wait 20 days to see if I would accept their offer.

Contacted justanswer.com because I had a quick question regarding pain medication for my 70lbs pit/mix. He had stepped on glass and was not sure if he still had glass in his paw, made an appt with his vet but forgot to ask if I can give him anything to ease the pain. The email did say 3-5 Business days and that was Friday June 19th. So where is it? I am very thankful that it's being sent back in the acct. But why is it taking this long. I had a pressing quick legal question. I paid my $5 and waited online for 1 hour for my response. The service kept telling me they were contacting a lawyer. After a very long time, they suggested I hang up and they would contact me via email. They never contacted me and today they charge my account $60! This site is a scam!

Being able to talk with her about my cat's symptoms as I saw them happening relieved so much of my anxiety. She even contacted me the next day to check in and see if my cat was doing better. No they are a joke. I called with a fairly straightforward legal question and the lawyer they paired me with (after a non refundable $59) spent the 20 minutes we talked berating me for not knowing the law. It is why I called you idiots...because I do not know the law. After calling to express my dissatisfaction and cancel the on-going monthly payments I was told that I would be billed in perpetuity and my membership was permanent. I had to cancel my debit card just to end my affiliation with this scam. I am in the process of contacting my state's consumer protection agency to file an official complaint. I am out almost 70 dollars and the headache of cancelling a credit card and waiting for a new one. A SCAM. STAY AWAY.

From the reviews it looks as though this would mostly be a good service. I just wanted to note that they give you a 7 day free trial but then to cancel you must notify them in writing via email and the process takes 7+ days or more so be prepared to be charged for that first month after the free trial because the cancellation process will not be completed by the time your trial has finished.

I would give a negative review if I could. This is a scam company. Paid $5 for trial for one week to ask a question to an “expert”. In trial info it said I would be notified prior to being billed when trial period ended. That didn’t happen. I asked a question about the value of some antiques I found in family belongings. It took over 8 hours for a response and the “expert” told me that similar items are selling on eBay and Etsy for $100! I already knew that! I can do that “expert” query! “Selling for” NOT “sold” even.
I immediately contacted via email asking for a refund of the $5 and cancellation of account. I never got a response. I was just charged an additional $28 and when I attempted to contact them on their site via chat (just computer generated answers) and then email (would not allow me to send email after chat discussion). I called # associated with charge on my bank account and rep told me “you should have cancelled it during trial period”. Refused refund even tho multiple requests were made and I called them within 1 hour of charge posting to my bank account. STAY AWAY from this company!!!

Used service in Nov, 2019. Canceled membership before free trial expired. Company has continued to bill twice monthly. Adding insult is that original expert did not provide any information to resolve issue. Do yourself a favor and just walk to your window and throw 34 dollars out of it every month.

When I use the service, May 15/20, I agreed to pay the $5 they charge. I NEVER agree to a trial month and I DID NOT open an account. However, they automatically and without my consent, open an account on my name and began withdrawing money from my bank account. Customer representative said today (5/26) that the charges were because I never cancelled the account. How could I cancel an account I never open? Besides, there was a note saying that the $5 were refundable. When I tried that, it directed me to “cancel account”, which as I said, I never created. Additionally, my question wast not answer. Family dog had a unusual spot. We kind of figured it was a bite but was not sure. My daughter in-law wanted to take him to the vet. But was not really feeling the vet because a misdiagnosed before that cost $1909. Check with Just Answer and the vet was on point with what we thought and saved us a lot of money. This site is great. I have used it for my cars, attorney and now vet and have not been disappointed.

I do a lot of technical repairs to cars and boats. The techs on Just Answer are usually able to tell me something that I really needed to know that is well worth the money. I pay the $35 monthly subscription for unlimited questions. I sometimes go 3 or 4 months without asking a question but then I am comfortable asking several in a row about something I would pay a mechanical shop $1500 to repair or pay a marina $1800 for what I can get done myself for $100. Try to request the specific mechanic for your type of car for tough questions to get the best answers more than a general mechanic but their general mechanics have hit the nail on the head with the right answers the first time also. I even needed a cervical disc replacement/neck operation and got a neurosurgeon to give me some advice. For lawyers try to get one in your state for the right laws. In general well worth the money if you are a DIY.

It took a couple of hours to get a response, and I had left my computer, so I didn't immediately get her response. But, in the morning I had several emails with helpful comments on my question. Bosch dishwasher. Tyler was awesome. My dishwasher was showing E24 error. He walked me thru the process of checking all the options that could be causing this. After, he told me the motor was trying to pull too many amps. He said to run a 30 min cycle and if error comes up it needs new motor which I could do myself by taking the dishwasher apart, but I didn’t have to because when I ran the cycle it worked!! Yay???? I was extremely frustrated with MS Outlook 2019 software not sending or receiving email. Numerous errors were seen when I tried to correct what was happening. It was a product that was nonfunctional. I had two experiences with this organization. The expert was unable to identify or give me info on an antique lamp I inherited. The second item, a Navaho rug was identified by age. The value was significantly different when I contacted a person that sold Navaho rugs. They gave me very specific info on the origin of the rug and gave me a value range that was 1500 to 2000 higher than your expert. I figure it’s better to do your own research.

The Appraisers on the site typically use nationally available auction records for similar items and arrive at an average value across all markets unless asked for more specific information.

I came to the site with the understanding that I could get a question answered for the introductory fee of $5. I used that service but did not need more. I was unaware that I would be charged a $60 membership fee shortly after (obviously I was not the only one who found this unclear, if you look at other negative reviews).
I therefore asked for a refund explaining that I don't need any more questions answered, which they refused and now I must file a dispute with my credit card company to fight this. I'm a single mom on a very limited budget, going through a divorce and could not afford a face-to-face lawyer so I thought this could help me.
$60 is a huge dent! It could make it so I won't be able to pay my utilities this month. But I'm sure they don't care because 1.) They're stereotypical lawyers - the kind you always hear about, and 2.) they say I should have read the fine print. They don't care that I won't be needing the service, or that the charge is causing me hardship. Who cares about human beings struggling during a pandemic when you're making a buck, right? Policy is policy. This is how they stay in business. Ripping off the poor. Do NOT get suckered into this "deal." Not at all worth the headache.

I purchased a tv remote and after programming it the right arrow button would not work for Netflix. I returned it and got another one with the same problem. After contacting the company whom made the remote to get help, I was redirected to Just Answer. I had to pay $5.00 for a trial and they apparently signed me up for a monthly subscription fee as well. After explaining my problem with the remote to Kaiser, I waited for a response for approximately 12 hours. When he did respond he gave me info on how to set up Netflix on a PC. I do not have a PC in the house. When I tried to respond to his reply, I couldn't and was directed to rate him instead. I then went and had the monthly subscription cancelled, which I received an email confirming this. I then tried to get the $5.00 refunded. This took me about 2 hours of trying this morning.
In an email that I received at first they refunded $0.10. Then in the same email they stated that they refunded $4.50. After going back to customer service online (because if you phone them they will charge you $37.00), I was informed that the $0.10 was refused by my bank. After a while I was also told that I was refunded in full and then disconnected from their website. I am extremely unhappy with the whole experience of dealing with Justanswer.

Won't use again! Steve said numerous times he'd send me my hard copy appraisal but never has. I really think my appraisal was cut & paste from eBay. After the fact, I wasn't able to verify the 2019 & 2020 values & asked him to give me item numbers so I could check with eBay, but he never did. Said he stood my his info. Many of the rare Hope bears are listed for under $10! I should've checked out eBay prior to committing the $5 & $45 fees. (Thankfully, I was allowed to cancel the $60 membership) Lesson learned!

I called the Saab Doc who provided excellent guidance and advice on how to repair and sell the vehicle. The smoke test will trace the gas smell leak that needs to be fixed. Detailing the vehicle prior to photographing and placing on Craig's List was helpful. Providing an idea of the value of the vehicle also made the decision to sell much easier. Nathan was very good verbally helping me to try & fix my microwave. Very patient, step by step, taking it apart as this 80 year old woman replaced the 2 fuses. I am so thankful I found Just Answer! I was googling clinics to potentially take my dog to. We didn’t know what happened to her back. Thankfully we found Just Answer. I asked my question and got paired with a wonderful vet. They were quick to respond. It was easy to text the pictures. They diagnosed correctly (my dog had a “hot spot”).
