My husband is an OTR truck driver and couldn't make it home this Valentine's Day. He wanted to make up for it so he surprised me with an order of flowers. He was excited for me to get them... until I go them. His total order was $130. $45 for the flowers and $15 for a cute set with a bear and candy. Everything else was delivery and fees. (Which I would have told him to go elsewhere if I had known beforehand but didn't find out until I received the horrible arrangement.) I've attached what I received and what it's supposed to look like. Horrible and not even remotely similar besides the vase if course. All the company did was give him 30% back which still waiting on and said they were sending an apology arrangement which I can only hope looks much better than the original!!! Stay away!!! FAR AWAY!

Order flowers for my parents who live 3 hours away for Valentine's Day. Received an e-mail and phone call the day of delivery telling me there were no available florists to deliver my flowers!!! How disappointing! They shouldn't guarantee a delivery if they can't deliver! I am very saddened and if I would have known I would have sent a gift USPS - now they won't have ANYTHING for Valentines from us! Unbelievable! Don't trust the guaranteed from FTD!

I was online and found ftd's website and they had the most gorgeous looking flowers! This was January 29th mind you so I carefully looked at each bouquet reading the details of each one making extra sure I didn't get the ones that came in a box but were 'hand delivered by a florist'. I figured I should know my husband by now after all these years and he's great at what he does but floral arranging is not his thing. Well guess what? Not only were they just thrown in a box and delivered late in the afternoon, they looked AWFUL! They looked like brown week old flowers and not only that a number of them were broken or bent. I was so mad I contacted ftd's right away after seeing the pictures of them. Of course I reached a foreigner because she couldn't speak good English and was hard to understand. She assured me that my husband's bouquet would be picked up by the florist and another one redelivered that day (2/12/16).

Remember now I placed this order back in January thinking I'd be ahead of the game. Not only did my husband NOT get his replacement flowers he also didn't get his balloon bunch ordered from ftd's either. When I called a third time and yes I got another foreigner I was told that they had just issued a refund instead. I was livid. I was on the phone with this man for over an hour trying to get all this straightened out. He said all he could do was resend the order the next Tuesday and that he couldn't find my order number for the balloons. This was after I asked to speak to a supervisor five times I kid you not!

I still don't know if I'll end up having to dispute the whole mess with PayPal or what's going to happen. My words of warning are BUYER BEWARE!!! If you want halfway decent looking flowers and are not handicapped like me and can't drive right now then get in your car and go to your local florist and order something. Not only will you be saving money by not paying online or at least ftd's exorbitant shipping/handling fees and taxes you'll be helping out your local economy. So for your sake and your loved ones do NOT buy from FTD! Now keep in mind this vase of pitiful looking flowers cost a grand total of 86.38 ALMOST ninety dollars for what amounts to junk.

I ordered two dozen mixed roses for my mom for Valentine's Day. The arrangement that was sent were old flowers. The petals were wrinkled and some were torn and they were brown around the edges. I filed a quality complaint and all customer service did was give me a $25 coupon for next time. I wouldn't order from this place again so why would I need the coupon. I just want a replacement and they can take this one with them, which is the decent thing to do, but nope.

Just like all of the other comments on here it proves to me that FTD.com just doesn't care about customer satisfaction. It's a disgrace to advertise one thing and ship out poor quality products that don't even come close to matching the offer. I'm highly disappointed in my girlfriend's Valentine's bouquet. They arrived bone dry, shriveled, and look half dead. I added a picture of the red bouquet that my girlfriend sent to me by a local Florist just to show difference in quality. I will not use this company again.

Long story short, I placed an order for a Sympathy gift to send to a friend. I then (within 30 minutes) canceled my order. I received an email from FTD saying they canceled my order and representative will contact me soon. I never was contacted. The next night I receive an email saying my order was shipped! I immediately emailed their CS and told them "It was canceled. How was it shipped?" They sent me some automated excuse of a reason stating that is was already in transit. Well, I have an email stating it was canceled and I received no worthy response why it can't be stopped and my money refunded. Absolute horrible company. Will never buy from them again. And it looks like this company has MANY negative reviews. I really wished I looked them up before purchasing from them... I will be contacting the BBB about them as well.

This was the first time that I ordered from FTD, but I will never ever do it again. I ordered and paid for 50 red roses as pictured on the left from FTD. In their receipt to me of what was being delivered to my wife for Valentine's Day they sent me this very same picture that it was on its way. The picture on the right is what they sent instead. Talk about bait and switch!!!

I've argued with their customer service on the phone for over an hour being passed around from customer representative to the supervisor to finally their manager, but the end result wasn't what I originally ordered. The manager at first offered a 40% discount, but even with that discount I was still paying 5 times more than what was sent. I refused to accept that offer. They elected to try and resend me another shipment of flowers of equal value but the damage was done. The whole mood of what the intentions were from the expected flowers were lost. I realized that FTD really has no control of their vendors or their products that they promote. They are just a broker that takes your money and you are at the mercy of what their so-called FTD florists send out. I will never consider ordering flowers from FTD again.

I ordered a beautiful arrangement, the FTD Delightful Discoveries Bouquet by Vera Wang, on February 9th to be delivered on Thursday, February 11th. With the same ordered we got 2 boxes of Shari's Berries cookies. We added the early morning delivery to the cart. We received the cookies very early in the morning but the flowers never got delivered. Today we were told we can not cancel the order and the flowers will be delivered regardless that they are no longer needed. We rushed yesterday and purchased another arrangement from our local florist (which we should have done from the very beginning). I was on the phone almost an hour with customer service and got absolutely nowhere. After verifying the account information and order number I was asked to provide the tracking number which seemed odd. My experience with them was terrible. I will be disputing my card charge since they are not willing to refund me.

My Husband ordered me flowers on Feb. 7 2016 for and early valentine. He went on the FTD site and picked out the sweetheart flowers. They were an upgraded arrangement. When I received them I was thrilled. He thought about me but heartbroken how horrible the arrangement looked. I called to express my feelings on the matter and every time I said something the women on the other end said "I am sorry can you repeat that." It took five minutes to place the order and 30 minutes to give her the information to even look the order back up. Who has this kind of time?!

The flowers might be the correct flowers for the arrangement but they look NOTHING like the picture shown when the order was placed. The flower picture on the right was what I was supposed to get but the ones on the right were the ones Delivered. These were ordered 7 days before valentine's day so I see no reason why they should have been rushed. Shame on you FTD for not picking your florist better and following up to make sure the flowers come at least close to the picture. The vase isn't even the same vase! Disappointed and sad!

After using their online service to create an order for flowers for my late mother's funeral, first while ordering the flowers you are not able to edit the number of items. So in my case I wanted 2 items of the same being that of a comfort planter. So I needed to create a separate order for each item, ok. It did total up the entire order and when I proceeded to the check out I needed to add the duplicate information for each item even though it was 1 order. The next day I received no less than 8 calls from their customer service center, where it was extremely difficult to understand what they were asking (language barrier).

After the first call in which I explained that I wanted both orders and it was not a mistake nor an error (Each line item was tagged with a separate order number). I was ensured that both orders would be processed and delivered on time. Shortly thereafter I was made aware that there were 4 voicemails from their customer service asking for a return call on the same order I thought had been resolved. After nearly 3.5 hours of no less than 4 separate operators I had made no progress and being told by 1 operator telling me the 2nd order had been canceled without my consent. The very next operator told me that it was not canceled but the address did not match the one on my confirmation sheet.

I requested to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold and short time later the same operator come back on and advised me he could handle any concern that I had. I again requested to speak to a supervisor and again placed on hold. I contacted the funeral home to verify if they had been delivered and they have not. I called the customer service number again and chose option 2 for a delivery status and this was even more frustrating. The operator put me on hold to call the florist to check on the status. Within a few moments the operator returned to me thinking I was the florist. I requested the contact information for the florist so I could call and was advised they could not give me that information.

I called a local florist and they were an FTD florist and did have the plant I was looking for so I had to order from them. I called the FTD customer service and attempted to cancel the order which took again another round of frustration having to deal with the language barrier. I explained what I wanted and they said they needed to put me on hold in order to cancel the order. I asked why I needed to be placed on hold to cancel the order and I was told to process it. While I was on hold for the second time to cancel the order, I did not speak up in time and they disconnected me. I was then again forced to call back to verify the order was canceled. After my call was answered and having to deal with the language barrier again, I needed to repeat the information for my order, having to repeat several times as I have had to do on each call. I was to verify the order was finally canceled.

My experience with this whole ordeal was extremely frustrating to the point of being traumatizing. My mother had passed away and I was merely attempting to order flowers for her viewing and service. It should not have to be this difficult. I am already upset enough with the reason to order the flowers without the need for the additional stress. I hope you will publish this and contact FTD. I hope they take this seriously and listen to the recordings from my multiple phone calls. It was not pretty at all. It is unfortunate that FTD has hired a company for their customer service that cannot provide adequate operators. I had even asked one of the operators how much training did they receive before being thrown to the wolves. No reply.

They sent an Email that the driver was delayed. Spoke to a rep, they said that the flowers were supposed to be delivered the 6th of Feb, which was not the date that I gave them. They sent another email that the arrangement of flowers couldn't be filled and lied and said they tried to call and couldn't reach me. I was on the phone for over an hour. They kept on giving me the runaround and refused to transfer me to a supervisor. They said they would refund the money. They sent me an email stating that the money would be refunded.

The next morning I had two new emails stating the flowers were delivered that morning, on the 6th, but the viewing was only for that one day on the 5th. So the flowers must have been delivered to an empty room. I called corporate the morning of the 6th. They refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I ordered flowers a week before their delivery date of February 2nd. I chose the BEST bouquet and paid $14 extra to have them delivered before noon. I then received an order confirmation email for the $100+ flowers. The flowers were a surprise for my aunt's 75th birthday. I told her son to let her know a surprise would arrive before noon on the 2nd. There she sat and no flowers arrived. At 8pm on February 2nd, I received an email stating the flower delivery was delayed and wouldn't occur until February 3rd. Boy was I mad!! I used the tracking number to see where they were. The initial start of delivery was after 4pm on the 2nd thru Fedex. The flowers were finally delivered at 10am on the 3rd. I haven't heard yet about how they look, etc.

I called FTD and asked for a refund - especially since the flowers weren't delivered before noon on the 2nd. No luck. The best they would do is give me $20 back. Not good enough. Since having this experience, I've read online reviews. My story is not unique. And from what I've read, I'm very worried the flowers will be wilting or dead. NEVER AGAIN will I use FTD.

Updated on 02/04/2016: I wrote a review earlier about flowers for my aunt. They were supposed to be delivered on February 2nd before noon (an extra $14 for that). They were delivered a day late. When I called about this issue earlier today, the best FTD would do for me was to refund $20. Now I've received a photo of the flowers from my aunt. They look TERRIBLE!!! NOT worth the $100 we paid for them ($68 plus delivery and tax).

Clearly the call center is NOT in the USA. Everyone is so hard to understand. You have to ask them to repeat everything over and over. When I called to complain about the flowers, the customer service rep wanted my name, address, recipient name, her address and phone number. When he asked for the last 4 digits of my credit card I had had enough and asked for a supervisor. I spoke with a woman, Charlie. (ID#**). Charlie first offered to send out new flowers. I said no. Then she offered a 30% discount. Again, I said no.

She then asked me to describe what the bouquet looked like that my aunt received. I offered to send a photo and she said it wasn't necessary. She put me on hold. Came back and asked what I wanted. I said a full refund. Charlie then said she would refund me the TOTAL AMOUNT. I'm supposed to get an email shortly with the refund info. I'm also going to call my credit card company and ask them to stop payment. The whole experience is totally not acceptable. Wish I had seen all these reviews before placing the order.

The email confirmation and order history on my account clearly indicates the order for $34.99 has $30 discount (from Groupon), and total charge to my Credit Card would be $4.99. My Credit Card shows $34.99 instead. After being on hold for at least 3 times and about 45 minutes, I was told from the supervisor that I need to deal with Groupon. They say the Groupon entered was expired. I asked why the system didn't declined, and why not any email from FTD to explain? They apologize and couldn't help further.

So I'm stuck having to deal with Groupon. I ended up canceling my order and give that business to someone else. I ordered flower to be delivered this last Christmas for Dec. 23rd. The flower never came. Customer Service said they can't find the florist to do the order, so they cancelled the order. They apologized for not notifying me, whatsoever; and offered a $10 discount on my next order; or have different type delivered after Christmas instead. After more than an hour on the phone, screaming and all, they finally agreed rushed the order (different type of arrangement) delivered the next day on December 24th.

I was told that the florist had rejected the order because he did not have the flowers that I wanted. Just so you understand, I called FTD, they did not call me. I have to wonder, why wasn't I called immediately and told that the flowers I wanted were not available? If I had been called on Monday, or even Tuesday, I would have picked other flowers for the arrangement. I told the FTD employee to send any flowers - I suggested red roses. I told her that I wanted a phone call once the flowers were delivered and that I would wait by the phone for her call.

After three hours I called FTD back. This time, I was told that they could not find a florist to deliver the flowers. Again, why did I have to call FTD??? Why didn't they call me??? The FTD agent said that he was going to send a message to a florist to re-order the flowers. I asked him how he could guarantee that the florist was present to receive the message. This question went over his head. He then suggested that they have flowers delivered on Monday by courier. Why can't the florist deliver the flowers on Monday??? How is FTD still in business???

I hope that Delta Airlines realizes how this reflects on them. The only reason that I ordered from FTD was to earn miles on my Delta Frequent Flier program. I can now understand the hundreds of complaints filed against FTD. Delta has worked so hard to improve their image. Do they really want to associate yourselves with a company that can best be described as incompetent??? Using FTD or picking your own dandelions from the side of the road, go with the dandelions.

Very expensive number 1! And I ordered some flowers for my mom's birthday! It arrived bright and early but when I received it, it looked nothing like the picture online and it wasn't full like the picture said it would be! The only thing that was right from the picture was the base! I wouldn't care if the flowers were for me but it's for my mom and that was just horrible and embarrassing! So I called and asked for my money back and they said they would come pick up the flowers the same day but didn't pick up until the next day! So I will be checking my account for my refund!

I was ripped off by FTD. First I didn't know my flowers were sent via airline from Atlanta to Portland. I thought a local florist made the arrangement. Second, the flowers arrived and were horrible. The daisies were in a net and when I took them out, they were moldy. The spray roses were wilted and never popped up even in water. For 39.99 I got a bouquet worth maybe 10.00 in the local market. And I never got the teddy bear I ordered.

So disappointed as a first time user of ftd.com. First of all, they are so expensive. I ordered a simple bouquet in a vase... the cheapest version of the arrangement shown was $39.99. It was to have four roses in both light pink and dark pink as well as different colored stocks - which were the main reason why I ordered the arrangement because stocks smell so good. When the arrangement was delivered, it had 4 roses, all the same color, and NO STOCKS. Instead of stocks, I got plain 'ol carnations - those don't even smell! I know their site says that replacements may be made if the florist does not have the flower in stock but it would be nice to be told that - I could have ordered something else.

So after the item was delivered, I called FTD. The first guy I got was an idiot, and asked me what I wanted them to do rather than offering me a solution. Then I requested a credit. He said he could give me a $25 store credit. I said that's how much shipping costs alone and that I wouldn't be spending any more money. LOL! So he goes "Ok, hold on". Then next thing I know, he's hung up on me. I call back and speak to someone else and tell them the same story all over again. When I asked for a refund, I was given one. Both reps kept saying they could contact the florist to have them ship the desired flowers to me in a separate bouquet. HELLO! If they HAD the flowers in the first place they would have SENT them, ya think? I told them this and said I would like a refund instead.

For the past couple of years my wife and I have celebrated our New Year's Eve by exchanging some token of appreciation. This New Year's Eve was extremely important for us because I am in another country for work. On December 27th, 2015 at 6PM Central European Time, I made arrangements to have flowers delivered to my wife on DECEMBER 31st! On December 31st, the hours pass by and I wrote a text message to my wife asking "did you get my gift?" She replies, "No". It's 7 P.M. Central Time and I am attempting to stay calm, cool and collective because not only did I pay over $100 for flowers that she has yet to receive, but how is my wife going to feel with our tradition being ruined? I pick up the phone and call IMMEDIATELY. By the time I reach on a representative from customer service it's 7:27 P.M.

I explain to the guy that I am out the country and I placed a order Dec 27 for my wife to receive flowers on NYE. I explained that I received a CONFIRMATION EMAIL saying the flowers would be delivered on NYE. This representative had the audacity to tell me the local florist did not have my selection of flowers and I would have to choose a 2nd grade of flowers and they would have FedEx or UPS send them to my house ON ANOTHER DAY. I asked to talk to a supervisor.

Now it's 2:40 A.M. Central European Time where I am located and I have to wait another 20 minutes to talk to a supervisor. After patiently waiting, the supervisor says Sir the best thing they can do is ship flowers to my wife January 3rd, 2016 because it's company policy. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR FIRST CLASS SERVICE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! They have no sense of customer service or satisfaction. I'm still steaming about the tiny arrangement that was sent to ‘granny’ which was obviously incorrect and embarrassing when I finally saw it. I immediately went out and bought her a nice arrangement to make up for the ridiculous thing she received. I made at least 5 phone calls to customer service and it was never made right. All they would do is refund 20 percent of my cost which did not make up for anything. I ordered the best arrangement which was supposed to be red carnations and white roses (no white carnations -- all white roses).

What she received was not even as nice as the cheapest one shown. If you looked close there were two white roses and the rest were carnations. There were supposed to be all white roses and NO CARNATIONS except for the red ones. But the worst part was that the flowers were the same height of the vase, and very tiny, about 5". This for $64.00? But this is fraud because it is not as the picture portrayed, not even close. The money is not the worse part. Trying to talk to people who barely speak English and keep lying to me about -- this is what you ordered -- "two roses" in the arrangement was the most frustrating. I don't see how you stay in business.

We ordered flowers via 800 # to be delivered to Wagner Funeral Home in Hicksville, NY for my uncle's funeral. We ordered on Tuesday, wake was Tuesday night followed by early morning Wednesday then funeral services to follow. When we arrived at funeral home flowers were not there. We were not contacted nor notified in any way so we can make sure flowers would be delivered by funeral. We were also coming from out of state therefore had we never made the trip we would have never knew flowers were not delivered yet still charged for the flowers. When contacted FTD, they told us multiple stories of why they were not delivered "the arrangement chosen was not available", "under staffed and over worked".

We were navigating our Christmas holidays and a death to our beloved uncle coming in from out of state during the holidays. We did not have time to do THEIR jobs yet we were sorely and heartbreakingly let down by FTD. We were mortified our flowers were not delivered and FTD did not offer any resolution even as we were on the phone with them in the procession on the way to bury our uncle.

My dear friend thoughtfully sent flowers to my mother after my stepfather died in early December. She picked a lovely arrangement in a red Christmas Lantern vase because she knew my mother would not want to decorate after the funeral. The picture FTD and Better Homes and Gardens use to advertise this arrangement are truly lovely. What actually arrived was a broken vase with half-dead flowers that didn't even equal half of what the advertised arrangement promised.

We called and complained and they said it would take a week to replace the mess they sent. Really? A week? The second arrangement they sent wasn't any better but at least the vase wasn't broken and the flowers were a bit more fresh. At this point my mother just re-arranged everything herself and ended up with a fairly nice arrangement. FTD took advantage of my friend and charged her a great deal of money for a mess twice.

The floral industry has been hurting for quite a while and this issue is part of the reason why. Quality control seems to be zero to one at most. If the florists and/or designers you contract with aren't capable of reproducing your advertised designs then you shouldn't be doing business with them. Period. I worked at a florist for a few years in college. What I see here is a lot of trash flowers that are left from the regular business and florists emptying their coolers of less popular or fresh materials. They seem to resent having to give the wire service a cut so they send out subpar arrangements with poor quality flowers and greens. Sad. Don't fall for the scam. Find out who a trustworthy local florist is and call them directly!

On several occasions, during these 4 conversations, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told that "will not happen". I ordered a Christmas bouquet from a photo on FTD.com. There were 4 levels of this bouquet each one being more expensive and bigger (more lush) than the previous. Because of an online 20% off coupon, I ordered the $70 dollar (3rd one up) which was spectacular in the photo, maybe 12-14 inches high and 12-14 inches across. They sent me an email saying that the florist in my area doesn't have what I ordered and they would substitute as close as they can.

I called their 800 "hot-line" and a guy answered who I could barely understand. For security reasons he asked me a dozen questions stating my name was wrong because I forgot to say my middle initial. I have an unusual name which only myself and one other person has in the whole world. I tried to ask what florist had my order, what was being substituted when they were being delivered and he repeatedly stated that he wasn't permitted to give out that information.

I asked if he would have the florist call me and he said the same thing. I got NO information at all. Why do they even have an 800 number? The bouquet that arrived was pathetic. For $70 I got a bouquet about 8" tall and 10" high. It was supposed to be a centerpiece (symmetrical) and it was arranged like a spray (flat on the back). I would say it was worth about $30. Reminiscent of those food photos you see and when you get your food, it doesn't look anything like the photo. However in the case of flowers, it should be exactly like the photo and if there's a substitution, they should make it even better than what you expected.

In the photos below you can see what I ordered and what I got.

Spoke with higher up who told me it was their mistake not following policy to contact client but too little too late, offered 25% discount, on a mistake that meant a lot at a very bad time for our family. Do not trust this company for important orders, very rude customer service, insisting funeral home information was correct (it was not), with no attempt to verify mistaken information with me. Now I am upset and wasting precious time writing this complaint instead of dealing with more important issues, but am hoping to save other families grief during a difficult loss of a loved one. Disgraceful they charged 63.00 delivery and service fee, then would not refund a reasonable 42.00 of it for their mistake, instead were rude and untruthful, so 51.00 was not nearly enough to make up for rudeness and disregard for their own policy.

I ordered the FTD Golden Autumn Exquisite Bouquet. The Ranchview Florist in Overland Park, KS delivered a small arrangement with PINK roses. I called immediately after the flowers were delivered. (Friday) (MY sister sent a photo). They asked me to send a pick of what I ordered. I did. Nothing! I called just now (tuesday) they asked for a pic of what they delivered. Really?!? FTD wants me to call my sister so the florist can come pick up the arrangement before they will replace the flowers. If they couldn't do this right the 1st time, why would I even think they can do this the 2nd time. FTD was no help. FTD didn't care that they and the Florist ruined this arrangement. HORRIBLE. NOT WORTH A DIME.

FTD was the worst company I have ever dealt with. I placed an order on November 15th for flowers to be delivered on November 17th. On the afternoon of the 17th, I checked my email and found FTD notified me that my order had been cancelled with no explanation given. When I called the first time, the agent couldn't figure out why this had happened. He said to call again to speak to a supervisor after this information became "unlocked" and said that a supervisor would always be available to take my call. When I called back, a different agent refused to let me speak to a supervisor.

I received a series of explanations for why my order was cancelled -- the florist didn't have the flowers needed (an autumn bouquet), there was a problem with Paypal (in fact, Paypal was just waiting for authorization from FTD). He repeatedly put me on hold and when I continued to ask to speak with a supervisor, he told me a supervisor wasn't on site and my call couldn't be transferred.

After about 45 minutes, a supervisor suddenly got on the phone. He offered to give me $25 credit which I felt was not satisfactory given the amount of time I had wasted with them on the phone, the time it was going to take me to deal with Paypal to make sure a charge wasn't going through, the fact that the flowers I had ordered for a friend's birthday never arrived, and it was FTD's incompetence that was responsible.

The next day I received 2 emails from FTD. The first email sent at 9:26 AM said "the item ordered is unavailable in your recipient's delivery area". The next email sent at 9:28 AM said, "The credit card you selected for payment would not authorize". In addition, I received a phone call and spoke to someone in the consumer service department. That person said my "second" order had not gone through because of "multiple add-ons" in the order. There had been no second order and I didn't even know what an " add-on" was. I placed an order with another company without any problem, will most definitely not use FTD again, and will let everyone I know how incompetently and unprofessionally this company operates.

I wanted to let you know how dissatisfied I am with your company. I ordered an arrangement for my mother on Thursday and they were supposed to be delivered on 11/20 which was her birthday. They did not come. I called and the woman apologized, guaranteed delivery today, and an upgrade on the order. My mother then called me around 1pm stating no delivery. I called to find out what was going on and I was disappointed in your service. They contacted the local florist and within an hour, my mother received flowers but the arrangement looked like someone picked up a grocery store bunch of flowers. I spent over $60 and to receive flowers for my mother that looked about $20, this is ridiculous. I called back a 3rd timed and the woman was going to contact the florist and swap out the arrangement but offered nothing for my inconvenience.

After a while of talking to, she offered to swap out the arrangement and give me a 20% discount which to me is a slap in the face and I will never order from you again. My mother now has to go back to the house and wait for another delivery because I was told I could not get any type of refund without picking up the flowers. I am not sure how you train your customer service reps and if this is how you continue to treat customers, good luck to you. I have and still work customer service and it means to go above and beyond in order to keep them coming back. I don't expect a call back but if my discount is not applied, I will be calling back for a total refund.

I have been a gold member with FTD for about a year. I recently got married and wanted to surprise my wife with beautiful flowers at work. I purchased an arrangement that starts at $60 for good and can go up to $90 for exquisite. I purchased the best which was to come in a special vase. What I received looked more like the lowest arrangement and the vase looked like something from the 99 cents store. My wife brought the flowers home on the weekend and I noticed it wasn't what I had purchased. I wrote FTD on the 6th day still within their 7 day guarantee. They never responded to my email. I called them 4 days later, by now the flowers were dead and didn't smell very good so I threw them away.

I was told there is nothing they could do and that the local florist can at his discretion change the arrangement for a substitute bouquet. I understand this but the substitution should be of equal value which this arrangement was at least valued $40 less than what I bought. I was offered a $20 credit but that didn't cover the difference. I was basically told to take it or leave it because that's all they were going to offer. You would think that someone that pays to be a gold member would get better service. They just lost a frequent buyer due to their unwillingness to stand behind their products.

Now, I find out that the Groupon I had applied to the purchase wasn't applied and I was charged more than I should have, and because the FTD idiots called me 5 days later, I'm 2 days outside of my cancellation period with Groupon.

In addition, I looked back at my previous Groupons and realized that they did the same scam with not applying the Groupon in May - I didn't look at the confirmation invoice that they sent, just the delivery info (which also happened a day late). On their confirmation page when you submit the payment, it clearly shows that the Groupon was applied, yet they do not apply it. In the end charge you the full amount. Clearly a scam, as this has now happened to me twice now.

I have never written a review, nor have I ever complained about a product in my life but I feel compelled to write a review about the 2 times I used FTD and the horrible experience I had with them. The first time my son ordered flowers for his girlfriend spending over 120.00 on a flower arrangement. She sent him a picture thanking him for the flowers and I was mortified. It was 12 roses thrown in a clear vase with no bow, no babies breath, no leaves, nothing like what the picture looked like. There was suppose to be a full bouquet of 18 roses, a bow with little fill ins to compliment the flowers. I could have got a better arrangement at CVS for 19.99.

The second time we ordered flowers that were never sent. Upon calling customer service they had no idea what was going on and kept saying they will get back to me... To no avail!! I winded up ordering from a local florist at 530 in the evening that got to the recipient by 600 pm. Then I call FTD back at 630 pm and they told me oh yeah they never went out because they didn't have the vase. Which was a simple glass vase. I asked them when they were going to let me know this and they said they would have sent it the next day... A day late. Needless to say, I cancelled the ordered and now have to wait 10 days for a refund. I would never use them again. My advise is to use your local florist or a florist in the town of the recipient. It cost less too!

At 8.30 pm I called again and was finally able to cancel order - the flowers needed to get there on that day. I bought into their wonderful advertising to trust this company. My friend and I had a terrible experience this past weekend and will never use FTD again. We ordered sympathy flowers for a dear friend of ours who lost her father. They were to be delivered Saturday for the memorial service. When we arrived we looked everywhere for them but they were not there. We asked our friend if she had seen them and she said no. When we called FTD to ask why they were not delivered we were told they would look into it and call us back. They never did. We called again on Monday and we were left on hold for more than half an hour. Later we were told the flowers were delivered but I assure you they were not. The flowers were Beyond Blue in a vase that would stand out among the others plus blue having a special meaning.

The flowers were not there. Our friend looked at all the cards that came with the other flowers to see if maybe they had substituted the vase (even though FTD said the vase would not have been substituted) but none of the cards were from us. We called FTD again on Wednesday, again after being on hold for more than half an hour, did not get any answers and were told they would call us back. We did not get a call back as promised. Today we are again on hold and nothing has been resolved. You would think FTD would want to keep their customers (especially the repeat ones) happy but they have terrible customer service.

She is more calm than I was at that point. She goes into work today and they don't have any flowers there for her. So I call FTD again, put on hold call florist. It says something about when a customer will create an account or sign up with a website... just for the ability to leave a review about a company. With that being said, I decided to add my experience to the other 402 poor reviews about FTD. Let me start by saying that I posted several comments on their Facebook that have been removed by their social media moderator. Which is understandable because there is not one positive review on their FB page. In today's world of social media, the "customer review" is a consumer's Bible. Poor reviews not only ruin a company's reputation, but they deter new customers and repeat business. I cancelled my order with FTD for fear of embarrassment that I would have to call the recipient to ask if they received the (surprise) flowers I sent, and even further, ask for a picture to make sure they were decent flowers! Nothing says "thank you" better than a bouquet of weeds delivered 3 days late (if at all)!

It sounds like this company needs to reevaluate its entire business model. I have been contacted by a team member that a refund has been issued. I am waiting for the refund to clear and will then make a purchase with a local florist with good reviews on Yelp! Thanks to all the customers who took the time to write about their experiences.

I chose a beautiful arrangement of lavender roses. FTD offers 4 price ranges for this bouquet: $39.99 Good, $54.99 Better, $64.99 Best, and $79.99 Exquisite. I ordered the Best package (Exquisite seemed over-packed), which after taxes & fees, came to a total of $89.62 and they were delivered the next day.

Unfortunately, the sad, discolored mess they delivered wasn't anything like the lovely bundle I chose online. The pink (not lavender) roses were completely bloomed, wilted, & discolored all the way to the middle along with the droopy, wilted accent flowers. The only thing nice about this bundle was the green filler!

Consequences?? I called FTD first thing this morning & they offered me a 15% discount or the option to have the same florist (Lemon Tree Florist out of Kemp, TX) pick up & re-deliver. I chose to have them re-deliver and hopefully this time it will be better. Here are the pictures of what I ordered her & what she received.

I specifically asked they take care to see it was packed with the correct size and weight items. This time the dried fruit weighed 2.5 oz instead of the stated 4. Honey arrived in plastic tubes again and weighed 1.5 oz rather than 6. If you should send FTD, please do tell the recipient what they are supposed to get and what quantities. Again, the basket looked lovely, no problem with the replacement except it too was short weight on the fruit and honey. If they would have gotten the weights correct it could have been perfect.

By 2 pm she still hadn't received them so I called customer service to see if I could get an estimated time of delivery (family came to pick my Mom up and take her out of state so I wanted them to either postpone delivery or give me an estimate of how much longer they had to wait). Well all customer service can do is call and/or email the florist assigned. They did this from 2pm until my last call at 7pm. Never once did they receive a response from the florist about the delivery status, but they would not cancel the order and reschedule it for delivery the next day in the area my Mother was going to, just in case the florist had delivered or made an attempt to deliver!

Well the next day, I called again about about the status (getting a different person each time), only to find out that the florist did NOT deliver the day before (small town, no reason the florist couldn't make it). The order was then rerouted to the new location. We immediately received an email form FTD that the florist would have to substitute arrangements because of availability (understandable), and also, FTD was going to give her an upgraded arrangement due to all the problems we had. I felt better even though this is now 2 days AFTER her birthday.

Well her arrangement came today... VERY UNHAPPY!!! I received pictures of the flowers and my jaw dropped! First of all, I 'assumed' when they 'substitute' something that it means replace with something similar. Well I was wrong, I would think they would of tried to use same colors (different flowers). I also paid extra for an upgraded arrangement, and on top of that FTD offered an upgrade. The size of the arrangement was so small, it was embarrassing! I placed an order for flowers to be delivered to a funeral and they NEVER delivered them. FTD informed me by calling almost a week later and told me they were going through papers and realized this. I received no apology, and only rude behavior from customer service. Satisfaction is not their guarantee.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my aunt for her birthday. I scheduled them to be delivered on 9/12. I received a phone call on 9/11 telling me they could not make the scheduled delivery day and the next available day would be 9/15. Despite this being after her birthday, I agreed to go ahead with the order. That was my mistake. My aunt sent me a picture of the flowers and thanked me. She is too nice to mention they were wilted and bare. The actual arrangement looked NOTHING like the picture on the website. I was mortified. When having flowers delivered, I pay a little extra expecting the flowers to be beautiful - something special. Instead, it looked like my toddler put it together. I e-mailed their customer service department. They have a "freshness guarantee". We'll see what comes of it. Skip this place and go to 1-800-FLOWERS.

Ordered flowers for a good friend's mother's funeral & was completely embarrassed by what was delivered! First of all, I did not receive confirmation that the flowers were delivered and they were supposed to be arriving at funeral home by 3 pm yesterday. So around 4 I contacted FTD. They put me on hold while they attempted to contact the florist. After a few minutes the lady came back and said they were not answering because they were probably out delivering. She said she would tag her name on my account so she could call me as soon as she heard back. Never received anything back. Around 5 I called again, a man answered and not only was he rude, he didn't even apologize once for the inconvenience. He attemped to call the florist and told me the same thing (they are not answering the phone).

In tears I asked him if he could please try to contact them again as this was important to me. He said okay and called again. Barely a minute later comes back on the line and says they didn't answer. I told him I was going to the funeral home myself to check to see if they were delivered and if not I would be expecting a refund. He kept repeating himself and saying, "Well, we didn't get a message from the florist that there was an issue, so it should be getting delivered". Not very comforting to someone who just lost someone close to them.

I get to the funeral home and looked for flowers that resembled the one's I know I purchased. Didn't see any that came close. Finally I read through the cards and located the flowers that were sent in our name. These flowers looked NOTHING like the picture online and they were delivered LATE to the funeral home. Chose fall flowers because the deceased loved fall, these were not fall. ALSO paid for the BEST selection (from the options Good, Better, Best and Grand or something). This does not look like a bouquet of BEST flowers. WHY ARE THERE CARNATIONS?! I would not even pay $20 for these flowers let alone the $91.97 total that our order came to.

Purchased a Groupon offer for $15 (which allowed us to receive $30 off of our order) and now I am out the $15 from Groupon as well as the $61.97! The card that was included was pathetic and barely legible, as if their printer ran out of ink or something. They did not bother to reprint it and it was a piece of paper TAPED inside of an actual card - looked VERY cheap. I will NEVER EVER order from Groupon or FTD AGAIN.

The past two times I've placed an order (both ~$100 in value), they've missed the scheduled delivery date (more than 4-5 days). When I tried to get an online confirmation, they told me to wait 72 hours. This is not acceptable when the flowers should have arrived 72 plus hours ago anyway! I got the same answer on the phone with customer service rep as well. I will not be using FTD flowers again.

When the customer service person called the florist that was supposed to do the delivery, they were already closed. She told me to call back again tomorrow morning. I had a terrible experience with FTD. I placed an order at ~10:45 am for same day delivery on Aug 18, 2015. At 10:54 am, I received an e-mail that confirmed my order. At 4:11 pm, I called FTD because no delivery had happened and FTD called florist. I was told that the order was out for delivery and it should be very soon. I called my home and told the two people there to expect the flowers very shortly. Because of the information I received regarding the delivery, I did not go to Plan B which was to buy flowers at a local grocery store.

At 6:29 pm, I called FTD because no delivery had been made. I was told that FTD could not call the florist but could leave a message and FTD would call me back when they heard from the florist. However, no call was received that evening. By 9:43 am on 8/19/15 no call had been received, so I called FTD and FTD called the florist. FTD told me that the florist had attempted to make a delivery, but no one was home. This is not true, as at least two people were home all day long at my house. In addition, the florist had the phone number of the recipient and is supposed to call the recipient to schedule the delivery to honor our [FTD] guarantee, but no calls were made. As of 10:12 am, on 8/19/15 we still have not received any flowers. I will never use FTD again and will make sure that many people hear my story which is easy because of social media. I should have used 1800flowers.com and will definitely do so in the future.

I certainly paid a lavish & grand price but the arrangement my recipient received was not even as good as the smallest arrangement described. In the picture of the lavish & grand arrangement, 10 roses can be seen. In the arrangement actually received, there were only 4. I provided a picture of the arrangement received to the company and was only offered a 40% discount. Get this... Ready for it? Because they couldn't retrieve the glass 'vase'.

OMG, is that a crock o' crap. The 'vases' they use are clear glass and they probably get them for a dime each. You can easily find one at your nearest thrift store for about a quarter. I told them that I either wanted a 100% refund or a replacement bouquet. Neither option was acceptable to them. I am promptly writing to the company to cancel my gold membership and through Yelp and other social media outlets - I will warn others NOT to use this provider.

Totally unacceptable, and I hope others not only in the Grand Rapids, MI area, but also all over the US, will see that this organization consistently commits fraud by sending cheap versions so that they can put money in their own pockets! My mother who lives across the country had also ordered a $150 arrangement through FTD for the same funeral. I sent her a photo of the arrangement and it was a smaller and cheaper version of what she'd ordered, clearly an attempt to get away with a cheap-o substitution. I'm sure florists get away with this all the time at funerals because there are usually a lot of flowers and nobody to take a photo of what was delivered. I wouldn't use FTD again and would recommend that others use them with caution, especially when there's no second chance to get it right.

Okay I tried to order some flowers for my girlfriend. Now granted they were only $69, but the call taker was extremely rude. She was trying to hurry up my order and rush me off the phone. She said her name was Abby, had an Asian accent and was not helpful. Normally I called in the past and ask them what they thought of the flowers and I was ordering and then give me the positive thoughts and helping me take an arrangement. But she was just as rude as they become. After finally purchasing the order online and noticing the huge surge charge, which is almost the same price of the flowers, I called in again and got another rude call taker. I didn't catch her name this time because she was extremely fast which led me to believe that the only want to do is get you on and off the phone call. So I decided to just go through with what I had ordered online.

A day later I get a confirmation email that my flower arrangements had been shipped via FedEx, when they started shipping things through FedEx I have no idea. But that just doesn't sound professional. Not only that the FedEx tracking number that they gave me didn't work!! So I tried calling again this time I got a guy who also just wanted to rush me off the call and tell me "all your flowers are in good hands." That's not what I asked for "I wanted to know what the tracking number is in the status of my flowers", they refused to give me a good tracking number and hung up!!

So I thought I'd try to call in the next day I got a girl named Bridget, who uses the name Bridget nowadays. Anyways I asked her about the tracking number and she says "oh well, we're able to pull it up on our side." Once again that's not what I asked, I asked "where the location was in a good tracking number". She said "sir it's on the truck." FTD used to be one of my favorite places to order flowers from. Now it's just become a place run by hooligans who only want to get you to place an order and then get you off the line, they don't care how you feel!! A +$150 worth floral cake and balloons order for my fiancee's 30th birthday turned into one memorable disaster. #FTD delivered 2 floral cakes instead of one and 'forgot' to deliver the balloons which had the birthday message embedded. So what do they do? They send me an email explaining the clerical error... but wait for it... no solution offered. No 'We will call your fiance to apologize,' no 'We will refund you' and certainly no 'We will deliver the balloons as soon as possible.'

So I called them yet again to ask for solutions and they promised to call her and deliver an even bigger bunch of balloons... but deliver them the day after because apparently after 2 pm, it's impossible to find someone on New York to deliver balloons. FTD website photo of a beautiful floral standing wreath arrangement of white chrysanthemums which is the custom and there is a very strict protocol on the selection and arrangement of the funeral flowers for the wake. This "Dignity Memorial Flower Delivery" is arranged through the Dignity Funeral Home - Pacific View. I can't tell you how embarrassed and mortified my wife was when she saw the flowers near the casket. The wreath is supposed to be completely covered with flowers (no spaces) in full bloom. These chrysanthemums were scrawny and haphazardly arranged on the wreath.

Chinese funerals are as important as births - they can't be redone. We paid $214.90 for the work of an amateur floral designer. FTD claims that they offer the "good as Gold policy". Well we can't substitute another flower arrangement. The flowers are probably still at Pacific View if they want to see for themselves. We would want a full refund for this upsetting incident, which I am sure does not represent the standard FTD claims to maintain.

The flowers I ordered was received the next day but it was not the flowers I ordered. My Aunt had surgery and I wanted to send flowers with her favorite colors and I was very disappointed to know they were different. When you order flowers for someone you picture those flowers putting a smile on their face and to know they can change what you imagine is very disappointing. If I can't get what I ordered it would be nice to contact the sender because I did have other flowers in mind. Will not be using them again and will let my family and friends know also.

NEVER use FTD to deliver your flowers. Received what should have been a lovely bouquet from my work family for recognizing the death of my Father. They, FTD sent the most pitiful dead arrangement that I have ever seen. Wilted and smelling rotten. It was horrible! They shipped it in a box from Texas (the second hottest place I know) to Arizona The Hottest place I know in a UPS Truck (The third Hottest place I know) for overnight delivery. The UPS Driver left them on my front step (It's 116 degrees out) and FTD didn't want to do anything but ship me another dead arrangement.

FTD wanted me to pick out another arrangement for the same price.... Uh No Thank you! One dead flower arrangement is enough for me. I told them to refund the shipper and explain that they sent a dead arrangement. So next time anyone needs to send flowers do yourself a favor and call a local shop. This is one of many horror stories I have heard about them and I will NEVER use them in the future!

My cousin gave me a gift of a monthly floral arrangement delivered for six months. What a nightmare. Except for January, I have had to call FTD each and every month! Several times, the vase is not in the box... never the right amount of blooms, no sliver at all, and the worst problem: dead flowers. What she has paid over $250.00 for could be purchased at Trader Joe's for $7 a month... so less than $50 for the six months! I kid you not. I picked up a bunch of tulips from TJ's one day and two days later, tulips arrived from FTD, which looked awful and died before the TJ arrangement. After reading the reviews, I'm finding it hard to believe they're even in business!

I called FTD three separate times throughout the afternoon, and they called and left 3 messages with the local florist, and no return call. I am a new Florist and new with FTD. I have as of today been in business for less than 2 months. I delivered over 24 Floral Arrangements for FTD totaling $1237.35. However they penalized me $1119.78, $117.25 and $56.25. So for all of the flowers, gas and time that I utilized delivering and making flowers I am being told that I owe them $220.17 because I didn't respond on time to their mercury direct system. This is armed robbery. I was told this would of been explained to me in my welcome call in which they tried to do on May 15th, 7 days after I received my first order which was Mother's day weekend. But our store line was busy so they never spoke to me or attempted to call back. I was told it was online but I wasn't told that I needed to go on line to read some information by my field Rep **.

Lastly I was told it was in my resource manual. Again was I just suppose to know to go in the directory to find the resource manual. Now my new company is facing financial challenges because I invested so much money into a company that took my inexperience and abused it. I have not heard from my Field Rep since joining but he said he would contact me. Now FTD could care less about the well being and the financial burden in which they have inflicted on my business. Totally unfair and unethical. So the consequence is We worked for over 1 month for free and they have capitalized off of our company.

I was told that the arrangement did not look very good or "lush" and should have cost no more than $25. I paid over $70 for something more beautiful! When I called FTD to complain, they agreed to take 20 percent off of my order. No refunds were offered, nor did they agree to send another arrangement. I recommend 1-800-FLOWERS. Wanting to get some flowers at the last minute and not knowing what to do, I decided to go to ftd.com, thinking it was the best deal. Realizing I could decrease the price dramatically by visiting the website in different ways, I thought I had tricked the system into giving myself an amazing deal. Once I got through the order process, wouldn't you know it, extra "fees" essentially doubled the price. Well, I guess that's what I get for thinking I beat the system, I thought to myself. Better to ahead and order so I get them on time anyway.

When it came time, the flowers did not arrive. I went to a local florist a couple of blocks away and got some flowers at a very fair price. Relieved, I called to cancel my order from ftd.com. I pressed the number for 'cancel' on my phone. I waited half an hour. I called back. Waited again. Called and waited again. I put the phone on speaker for one hour. No one answered. Having an idea, I called again I pressed the number corresponding to 'new order'. Wouldn't you know it -- someone answered within five minutes! Seeming surprised and disappointed when I said I wanted to cancel, the representative offered me several deals to keep my order. I could keep my order and get three free offers of flowers worth $100, she offered. Suspecting this was some sort of trick that would be attached to ridiculous 'fees' like my initial order, I persisted with my cancellation. Avoid this company.

I have ordered from FTD several times in the past without any problems. However, when I ordered two bouquets for this Mother's Day I was absolutely disappointed. First of all, my mother's order was incorrect. She received roses instead of the bouquet I picked out. If I had wanted roses I would have paid for them. I understand that roses are typically more expensive but I picked out a specific bouquet for a reason. If the bouquet I wanted was not available, I should have received a call/email/or text asking me if their "upgrade" was acceptable. I never received a word. I read the substitution message on the website but I assumed the most they would substitute was the color, not the whole arrangement. As for the other bouquet of flowers I ordered, I was and still am livid over this situation. My sister in law is a first time mother and had her baby three weeks before Mother's Day.

I thought it would be a nice surprise to have a large bouquet of flowers sent to her. I placed both orders on 4/27 and received two separate delivery confirmations for the bouquets on 5/9. The bouquets were supposed to arrive between 5/9-5/10. When I spoke to my mother on 5/15, she informed me that my sister in law's flowers never arrived. I called FTD customer service on 5/15 and spoke with **. She could not have sounded more bored and uninterested in my problem. Whether a customer calls in the morning or night, customer service representatives should do everything in their power to help. She informed me that they could not do anything until they spoke to the florist. FTD was supposed to call me on 5/16 but never did. I had to call them and I had to ask to speak to a supervisor.

I spoke with ** and was left unimpressed by his customer service skills. He kept informing me that according to my statement the flowers were not delivered. He basically kept implying I was lying about the flowers never being delivered. He also informed me that there was nothing they could do until they spoke to the florist. He did tell me that if the flowers were not delivered, he would upgrade them and send them out right away. He also offered me a $10 credit towards my next bouquet. That is an absolutely insulting offer. $10 is barely the cost of the tax on the flowers. On 5/18 I received an email from ** stating that the flowers had indeed not been delivered and they would be sent out. There was a link where I could claim my $10 towards my next purchase. I decided to try calling one last time and spoke to **, another supervisor. She was slightly more helpful than **, but not much.

She informed me that the upgrade had been placed and the flowers were on their way. I had already paid for an upgrade with the original order, and ** assured me that the new upgrade is the largest bouquet option. The photo of the bouquet I received from my sister in law was certainly not what I would call large but maybe everyone should lower their expectations when they deal with FTD. ** did offer me 25% off the cost of my sister in law's order. I told her I wanted a full refund for the order but she only offered me 35% off. When I informed ** that I wanted FTD to write a sincere apology letter to my sister in law, she just kept asking for my sister in law's phone number. I purposely did not include her number because I do not want her disturbed while she is still getting into the rhythm of being a first time mother.

I had to explain to ** THREE times that the phone number on file is my own and that if she calls it looking to apologize to my sister in law, she would only be talking to me. I finally was able to get through to her, I think. She said she would mail an apology letter to my sister in law's address. With all 5 people at FTD I spoke with, I could tell they have a script for dealing with upset customers. None of them sounded sincere in the least. I work in customer service and if I ever sounded like that to a customer, I would be fired. The customer is absolutely not always right, but in this situation it was the company's mistake. I placed an order with FTD and paid them for it. They took my money, sent a delivery confirmation, and never gave the product I paid for. FTD stole from me, and treated me like a liar when I complained about it.

Whats worse is that I found out today that my brother used FTD for Mothers Day as well and his order was never delivered. I deal with irate customers all day and most of the time it is their own fault. But when it is the company's fault, you need to do whatever you can to make the customer happy. The $180 may not seem like much, but this was not the first time I ordered from FTD. But it is definitely the last time! FTD Consumer Affairs is absolutely filled with furious customers, and I am now one of them. I will be letting everyone know that they should NEVER shop with FTD again.

It costs 6-7 times more to acquire a new customer, than it would cost to keep an existing customer happy. And on average, a dissatisfied customer tells 9-15 people. Rest assured, I will be telling everyone I can. It's bad enough that the flowers were never delivered when I received a delivery confirmation, but the fact that the FTD employees did not seem to care whatsoever about this problem, is inexcusable. Offering $10 towards my next purchase is the same as a slap in the face. Why would I take $10 towards my next purchase when I will NEVER want to shop with your company again?
