Tried to cancel my order 30 seconds after it was placed online Sunday. First I was told that it's too late because the order was already processed, then a few minutes later I was told that no orders are processed on Sundays. Orders placed on Sunday get processed on Monday, and they would cancel the order. On Tuesday I got an email saying they did everything they could but couldn't find the order to cancel it, but it already shipped. I then checked the tracking and truth be told the package has not left their facility.

My son and I typed in his truck year, make and model and needed a front bumper replacement. The chrome bumper picture was displayed on the page. We took the picture outside and compared it to the original bumper. It was a direct match. We hit the button from that exact page "add to cart". Paid $322.10 total. The product arrives in 4 days very poorly packaged and what do you know, it was the wrong part. I spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to get a refund. Finally the lady said, "We will give you a full refund it you ship it back". Well, to ship a bumper is about 370.00 dollars.
I called back and said since the company made the error they should pay for shipping. They refused to do so. They offered me 50.00 dollars and told me to sale it myself on eBay. Really? What kind of business tells you that. Do not purchase anything from this company if you value your money. I essentially threw 322.10 down the drain. Never ever again. BUYERS BEWARE. SHOP ELSEWHERE.

Goodness - please don’t EVER buy from them. They are inept!! Completely, totally inept! Bought a door handle that was guaranteed to fit. Didn’t fit. I tried to return it. The service agent spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me trying to verify parts and tell me whether or not it should fit. I’m looking at the thing and telling him it’s the wrong model for my truck. He verifies that I ordered the right part from his website and then finally figures out that their system is just wrong. So he writes up a return for a partial refund. Excuse me? No… There will be no partial refund.
You guys not only screwed up the order, now you want to keep my money for screwing it up? I don’t think so! I returned the part.… And after being assured by two different people I would get a full refund, I got a partial refund. I’ve already spent an hour on the phone, sent multiple emails, and it’s only another $10… It’s just not worth the hassle of calling them back once again. But I would absolutely advise anyone to steer very clear.

After I received the email indicating my order had shipped, they sent me a link to tracking info for my item that went nowhere. There was no tracking number or delivery company info given. I have replied to their email (it bounced). I have emailed from their website to shipping department and another time to their customer service department. Not a peep. They have charged my credit card, and seem to be incapable of replying to me at all. A week without even so much as an automated email saying my email is important to them, they will get with me shortly. No, instead they haven't said a word.
I am a few days away from calling my credit card company to dispute the charges since I did not receive the product nor did I receive shipping info as promised. "Their prices seemed to good to be true", said my wife. I sure hate being wrong, but I'm starting to think her warning against going with Carparts.com was right. I will update this review should they make even the TINIEST effort to reply to my concerns. I hope to God they don't screw me on this, but taking 5 seconds to email your customer back would go a long way.

BUYER BEWARE. I wish there was a way to give them zero stars for this rating. I purchased an Evan Fischer Catalytic Converter on June 4th, 2019, it wasn't a DIRECT FIT as advertised. I started installing it myself which only required a socket and attachments but I eventually had to spend another $80 by taking it to a muffler shop to have the end pipe retrofitted to install it into the muffler pipe.
After installation, the next day I drove from Houston to New Orleans and within reaching New Orleans my check engine light was back on signaling a Catalytic Code 0420. I called Carparts to tell them right away. They started giving me a list of things I need to send them. I could do it all until getting back to Texas. After getting home started what amounted to 15 calls and 10 emails back and forth talking with a horrible OUTSOURCED CALL CENTER in the Philippines. Though they ship parts from Illinois the call center is exclusively routed in Manila.
They wanted a full mechanics diagnosis. I had just had the Van run through a state inspection in April and passed it. I later purchased 2 new Oxygen sensors before getting the converter. The converter went out just a week after inspection. I had the Van re-inspected at the same shop and emailed them the results to compare both inspections and they said it wasn't good enough.
They asked for 6 pictures of the Catalytic converter from various angles of which I sent them. I sent them a picture of the converter I took off the van. I sent them 10 pictures of the Catalytic Converter when I first installed it before the cheap paint that was on it melted off and exposed the cheap welding in the metal and since I have been driving it. They still said this is insufficient. All the while this part is causing my car to EAT UP gas.
Today, a month later I asked them to send me a shipping label so I can ship this defective part back and that I wanted a refund. The representative said she would generate me a return label within 30mins and it hasn't happened in 5hrs. She said before I could get a refund their mechanics would have to inspect the damn thing to test out where my claim is accurate. NEVER, NEVER, will purchase from another company that has an outsourced call center if I can help it. If I can't call a support center based here the U.S.A. then that company will never get my money. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

I purchased a Evan Fischer Catalytic Converter from Carparts.com for my 2006 Suzuki Forenza (Order Number: **). I installed the part myself but noticed immediately that the car still wasn't running properly. At that time I decided to take it to an experience mechanic for his diagnosis. He did multiple tests and determined that the Catalytic Converter I had purchased was bad right out of the box. I immediately contacted carparts.com customer service. They sent me a full page of things I would have to do to prove to them the part was bad. I handed the list to my mechanic so that he could fulfill the request. The mechanic himself contacted carparts.com multiple times, but they just kept dragging their feet.
Finally, I decided to dispute the credit card charges with my credit card company. They told me that I had only 90 days to dispute charges, and guess what. Carparts.com had given me the run-around for just over 90 days at this time. I think they purposely dragged this issue out long enough that I couldn't dispute the charges. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THESE SCAM ARTISTS TO ANYONE.

This total amount was immediately taken out of my available balance in my checking account. As my items shipped, my debit card was again charged instantly for each shipment thereby reducing my available balance in my checking account by twice the amount I agreed to. I am still waiting for my refund and customer service is horrible.

I was fine with that and then immediately called their customer service team to cancel the gas cap also because I didn't want to pay shipping for just a gas cap. I spoke to a customer service member named Frank who assured me that the order for the gas cap was canceled. He told me I should receive a email shortly about the cancelation. Two hours later I received a email telling me my payment had been approved and that the item had shipped. Leaving my only options to pay to ship back the item to these guys. I hope the 10 dollars was worth it because I will never order from this company again. Horrible experience and a waste of time.

They send you an email telling you that your refund is being processed and it's all done. Well, they never than send another email saying it's done. I really disliked the service I received from this company. I ordered a bumper cover and headlight set through this site. I got a call the next day saying they didn't have a driver's side headlight in stock. Being that was the most important item I need, I asked to cancel the whole purchase. I looked around their site some more and found that they individually sell driver's side headlights and their listing said they had 16 in stock. I decided to purchase this along with a bumper cover. I got a refund a couple days later for $43 and I didn't understand what it was for as the full purchase came to about $115. I contacted the company through the chat option and never got a response as to why I was being refunded $43.
I sat messaging this person for over an hour. All I found out was that my first order was not fully canceled. I asked to cancel the first order again and was told I was not allowed to do that as they had already designated a sticker to my purchase. They also said that it had not been shipped out yet. Which means they put a sticker on the box and refused to take it off. I asked about returning the items and they replied saying I will have to pay for return shipping (about $50). This upset me because I was told my order was canceled. I was then being shipped two bumper covers, no driver's side headlights, and a passenger side headlight. I spent 3 hours talking to another person about canceling the order. It wasn't until I threatened to contact my bank for fraudulent charges that they finally agreed to give me my money back.
I am very irritated by this company. I was never contacted about the second order about the headlight either so I didn't know that was not coming until after fighting with people for 4 hours. I don't recommend buying from here. I haven't even received anything yet. It was supposed to show up last weekend and I made plans to fix my car on Saturday. Now I have to wait to use my car which I was depending on.

Ordered chrome door mirrors for 86-93 Mazda B Series. I am familiar with the brand of the product I ordered so I already know what I will be receiving. The problem is that from the day after my order was received, to the day that I will actually receive the item, will be 15 days. (I'm still waiting for my delivery) That is ridiculous for any package that ships from within the U.S... I have literally received orders from HK, China faster using regular mail. I used CP.com because their price was slightly less than Amazon. After reading most of the reviews on here, I'm worried that my package will be damaged once I receive it.
Every company that I order from that uses FEDEX seems to have these problems. I gotta wonder what the reviews would be like if CP.com decided to go with UPS rather than FEDEX. Especially when most of their bad reviews are about receiving damaged items. I will pay a bit more money the next time and stick with Amazon because it's not worth the wait to potentially receive a damaged item. That is regrettable because I had already bookmarked several more items to order from CP.com, pending the overall experience with my initial order. I hope, in the future, people will read these reviews prior to using CP.com. I know I wish I had.

I ordered control arms for my Toyota Camry, because the price was 1/2 price of even discounted Napa parts. I was suspicious of this price from the start, but I thought, "Who knows... let me try and see", but the parts were visibly of inferior quality, and the rubber grommets were so thin and deformed that they came apart just from touching while my original Toyota parts were 16-years-old and still in a pretty good shape. I never installed their parts. I called them, and they tried to tell me that I had to pay for return shipping, but they "made an exception" and waived it, yet I first received refund less shipping, and I had to call again to ask and explain that I never used their parts.
They agreed and gave me a "full refund" which was still 8 % less than the full price I paid. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1, because they still "made an exception" and gave me a "full refund" (which was almost full). In the rear view, perhaps, it was my fault that I considered this online site because of a very low price over a reputable Napa or other physical stores where I could see and inspect the parts (and return them if defective), and I ALMOST risked my and my family lives by ALMOST installing these cheap defective but very important parts on my car. Be careful with this place.

It makes Car-parts look as bad as carguts. The carguts also has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, wish we would have known that back in June!

I purchased an ac condenser and it was in immaculate condition when I received it so I thought I'd shell out a little more money and spend on another parts I needed. First off, their catalog is atrocious, several car companies share the same parts with other car companies. They're identical. It was difficult finding a fender. They stated they didn't have for my car, but the other triplets of my car did. Not only that, they stated the fender was limited to a certain year when in fact, it's been one fender design since the BRZ, FRS, and 86 were released to date. Once I found the parts I wanted: a fender and radiator support, I decided to take the chance and put my trust into them putting aside the ocean of bad reviews. I really shouldn't have, I received my radiator support damaged and in the condition the box was delivered in, I really shouldn't have been surprised. It looked like the box was launched and wrestled with. It even had mold or something wet on it.
It was a shame I couldn't cancel my order beforehand, I tried, because I shortly found a website with a better catalog, but they didn't allow it. Although my order still was in their possession, it had been processed already. So I settled with returning it once I got it knowing I would have to pay for shipping. That turned out to be a complete mess as well, I paid them the $40 they requested to have it shipped from VA to CA, but somehow the same company they used: FedEx, and ground no less, requested that I pay close to $600 to ship it back. I paid $470 for my order. $40 of that for shipping, $600 to ship back is insane. It's beyond me why they don't include a prepaid shipping label when they just carelessly throw and shove things into a box without a bubble wrap or anything to secure and protect our items. Take your business somewhere else, their prices aren't worth the gamble.

Attempted to place an order for my vehicle, a bumper cover replacement and some headlights. About $150 plus another $50 in shipping and handling. I've never had an issue with making an online purchase, ever. Even expensive ones, in the thousands of dollars. Carparts.com called me and asked me absurd verification questions about my addresses, my vehicle, and the name of the owner of the address I listed. They told me one of my answers was wrong and that they would have to take extra time to verify my information, which was unacceptable.
They told me that I could cancel the order and try again with PayPal, so I cancelled, only to log back onto the website to find the part I ordered had increased in price by $16 and the shipping and handling had skyrocketed from about $50 to $200. Their customer service was completely unsatisfactory, and refused to honor the pricing at which I originally made the purchase. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company, there are much better ways to get parts for your car.

I called Carparts right away and spent 33 minutes on the phone trying to do a replacement order. Way too long on the phone. I will see if the adjusters on the new headlight assemblies work before I install them. I have a feeling, that I will be on the phone once again for over 30 minutes to return the replacement. I will save my money and spend $200 plus to buy new headlight assys.
On 4/1, I had to order a hood latch for our Ram truck. Everything says direct replacement and the part number seemed to match with the Mopar parts. We received the part yesterday and it is not a direct fit. Again, I am on the phone for well over 30 minutes. I had to argue with them to refund all my shipping charges as well. Now, I have to go to the dealership to get the hood latch. We have been down a vehicle for 5 days now. I purchased a Catalytic Converter and it was DEFECTIVE Catalytic Converter and when I contacted the 877# I was advised it was an easy smooth HASSLE free process; they advised me to take several images of the vehicle to show it was installed and a diagnosis from the mechanic determining it was DEFECTIVE and they would gladly replace or refund the funds. After getting this information I then submitted it via EMAIL only to have to wait 2 days then someone emailing me advising me they wanted more information? I then went back to repair shop, got more information, submitted additional information and the same thing-- they started delaying things and making things really difficult. After 2 estimates - 2 diagnosis and then a written letterhead from the repairman.
They have been playing games with me on $302.97 for over a month or 2 now. Can't really remember exact time frame -- however now that I have made such a fuss they stated that I was approved to return the DEFECTIVE Item; have one of their mechanics look it over (um not happening. It would cost me over $150 to return this part) only to have one of their mechanics look at it? No I have the necessary proof to be refunded! Now the next step is that they have approved the REFUND or replacement if I get another one from them (which will never happen) I will have to pay an additional $ 9.73?? Why is this? Or they have approved a refund upon receipt of the return part???
So they want me to pay out of my pocket $ 150+ to send this part back to them when it clearly was stated at the initial call the images and the diagnosis was requested to avoid any shipping and handling hassle fees. Now all of a sudden (because I made a lot of noise) they are now saying this!! They are not a HASSLE FREE COMPANY; THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WARRANTY; If they do they make it impossible for you and have no respect for the customer.
A part that costed me $302.97 now has left me paying out of pocket (per their demand almost $ 549.00 and this does NOT include the cost of the part) so to think I am actually going to pay to reship it back to them and they know it’s impossible. The part doesn't even fit in my car all the way… I struggled to get it in there when I went to repair shop. They are rip offs and I will make certain everyone knows it! THIS COMPANY DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR BUT TO PLACE REVIEW YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE AT LEAST ONE.

Call customer service (I was a bit irritated thinking I was gonna have to pay shipping fees to get a replacement) but as soon as they answered they were polite. Gave them the order number. Told them I put the part in and it made my truck go into reduced engine mode and they told me they would be sending me another one that there was no need to send the defective one back so I didn't have the hassle of shipping.
I would say if you need a part right away this might not be the place for you to go and in all reality can't blame them for the shipment time. That's the carrier's job. The steering rack (which came with a three-year guarantee for the part only) was put on my vehicle by a certified Mazda technician at the local Mazda dealership on 11/18/2016. A wheel alignment was also required after the rack was put on, for a total labor cost of $566.89 THE LEFT SEAL ON THE STEERING RACK BEGAN TO LEAK AFTER ONLY BEING ON THE VEHICLE FOR 3 MONTHS... I contacted Carparts.com and was told that another part would be sent as long as I returned the defective part. THEY WANTED ME TO PAY TO SHIP THEIR DEFECTIVE PART BACK TO THEM. After two phone calls, they agreed to pay for shipping their defective part back to them (cost to them $16.00).
The replacement part for their defective part was put on my vehicle on March 23, 2017; again by my local Mazda dealership at a reduced cost of $256.52 because the dealership sympathized with my plight of being given a defective part by Carparts.com. They waived the wheel alignment as well. Kudos to them. The reason I am writing this review today is because THE SECOND PART WHICH HAS BEEN SENT TO ME BY CARPARTS.COM (which replaced their first defective part) IS NOW LEAKING IN THE RIGHT SEAL, LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AFTER BEING IN SERVICE ON MY VEHICLE!
In other words, the reconditioned parts they are selling are junk. They are not reconditioned properly and are obviously not tested before they are sold. I now will purchase a steering rack from another supplier and pay once again to have it installed on my vehicle. I noticed they are based in California, and I am as well so chose them to receive the parts faster. I know that's not guaranteed, but more likely than ordering from east coast. They finally processed my order Wednesday morning and sent me an email at 1:02am "My payment was approved." Really? You accepted my money? OK, I get that they couldn't get the order done Friday, and maybe busy, but what happened to Monday and Tuesday? Anyway... The parts are being shipped from Chesapeake, VA with a delivery date of 13 days from time of order. My ONLY advantage to ordering from them was I got to pay California sales tax that I could of avoided if ordered elsewhere. First time I've ever ordered from Carparts.com, and will be the last.

If you make the mistake of ordering anything from this company, just know you have lost your money. You may never see your order. I am still waiting to get mine. I was told by the original salesperson that my order would ship on a Wednesday and that I would have a tracking number by end of day. When I did not receive a tracking number, I called back and eventually spoke with a supervisor who told me it hadn't shipped yet. A few days later I finally get a tracking number email to me. When I clicked on the tracking number to verify shipment, your head not yet been scanned in by FedEx as a pickup. I waited another day and then checked again, and still it has not been picked up by FedEx.
So I called customer service again for the third time to find out what was going on. I was told that FedEx simply had not updated their system yet and that it takes two to three business days for FedEx to enter a tracking number in their system. Per FedEx this is a lie. I still do not have the car part that I need desperately and I have no proof that it was ever shipped by this company. I'm now out a significant amount of money, and now I'm having to buy the part at a different company in order to get my car fixed. All I can say is buyer beware.

When it arrived it was the wrong part. When I called to complain, they checked and said the part I received was the part I ordered. In a way, this is true because the part number I received was the same as the part number I ordered. It's just that their "catalog" sent me to the wrong part number to begin with. Since they said it was MY error they would not provide return shipping. They did eventually credit me with the cost of the part, but it cost me almost as much to send it back as the part cost. I will never order from them again and will tell everyone I know to avoid them at all cost.

So with that said. I have ordered from this company 2 times in the last few weeks. Shipping costs we're very comparable to other sites that sell products. I ordered a wheel hub from this company. I paid $100 labor to have it repaired on my car. A week later the car wouldn't come to a complete stop, I had to jam on the brake pedal. The part sent to me was defective. I called and they replaced it but I had to pay a "refundable" shipping fee for a new part. The new part came and I went back to the mechanic and got my wheel hub replaced. They informed me the new part was defective but they put it on because it was in better condition than the original part ordered. So I paid another $100 in labor.
I called carparts.com for a refund and they wanted to send me a new part. I felt I should've been compensated $100 being it was their repeated defective part that caused me to return to the mechanic and I will have to go back a 3rd time for the same part. The rep kept telling me I am only receiving $36 back that I paid for the part. I had to repeatedly explain to her that I also paid $25 shipping originally + tax and an additional shipping fee for the new replacement. Finally I was processed for the right amount in a refund but I had to send the old part back first then get the refund. And I am stuck with the second defective wheel hub until I get the funds to get a new part and pay for labor. I will never use this company again. They take your money and don't care about how you feel or that you are losing money because of them.

Their website makes it sound like it's all good to return parts if you are not satisfied or if they are incorrect. WRONG. They made me wait on the phone, answer 21 questions regarding the part that was clearly wrong when I opened the box, made it sound like it was my fault because the picture of the part has 3 holes and the part I needed has two. Never mind the fact that I put in my car make year and exact model and specs. When I finally proved that it was their "catalog error", and mailed the part back, they tried to give me half the cost as my refund.
I called them back again this morning after I found out they gave me a full refund minus the shipping and handling which I was fine with after spending so much time and hassle over the phone. I ordered a Dashtop dash cover for my truck. The product I received had a crack dead center and what appeared to be a mark (dot) at that spot as though to identify the defect. When I contacted Carparts.com I was told I could pay to ship the product back to them and they would refund my money. I was also told it is not possible to replace the Dashtop dash cover as they no longer have the item in stock, though it is still showing as in stock and available for purchase on their website. Dashtop does have a limited lifetime warranty and I will attempt to contact the manufacturer next, though I'm not sure they will honor it for a product that arrived damaged from the supplier and it seems a bit unfair that I have to waste my one-time warranty replacement on a product that was noted as damaged before it ever shipped to me.
Additionally I received a customer service survey from Carparts.com, but the link gives the following error message, even when pasted into the address bar: The system cannot find the path specified. I would imagine they rather not have me complete a survey at this stage. The best I can say is that the product would be great if it were not damaged. As for Carparts.com I would say buyer beware. I either choose to keep a damaged dash cover for $138.83 or I pay shipping (probably much more than the $20.03 they charged as it is definitely an oversized box) to return a product that should have never been sent out to begin with for which I would receive a $118.78 refund. Purchased a replacement catalytic converter for my vehicle in August which the weld broke in November after putting less than 2000 miles on the car. Stock converter had over 75k miles before breaking. Called company and advised them of the issue and that I currently have it supported with coat hangers so that I can use the car to get to work and get my son to school. They advised that they would replace it under warranty however I need to either: A) send it back at my cost (which would leave me without my car for at least a week where I would not be able to get to work or get my son to school), or B) purchase a new one (which is approx. $350), and they would refund me once I returned the broken one.
I asked why they couldn't ship out the new one with a return slip for me to send back the broken converter and they said that is not how they work, and my options are my options. It is a few weeks before Christmas so shelling out money for a new one and waiting for them to refund me is not an option, and being without my car is not an option either unless they were going to pick up my expenses for a rental. I was treated so rudely on the phone by both Leo and Mike the manager that I would NEVER recommend anyone doing business with this company. I am stuck and will now have to attempt to waste vacation time to be off work or spend money on a rental car so that I can send the converter back and then wait for them to send a replacement.
This is upsetting because you expect a product to perform as expected and not fail so quickly. I live in a rural area so a car is necessary to go about my day to day life. I even told them they have my credit card info. If I don't send the broken converter back then charge me the cost of a new one. A broken one is of no use to anyone. They even had me send them pictures of the broken weld which I sent pictures and video to show that it is broken so they fully are aware that it is broken.

Yep, their prices are nice. But don't expect to get it anytime this century. For a company based in Cali, I was quite irritated that they shipped a few days after I ordered, instead of the Monday at opening like most good car parts stores to (example, Jegs and Summit). On top of it all, they didn't ship it from California, they shipped it from across the country. I ordered from them because of their location, expecting quick delivery because of the proximity to Utah, and then they didn't process my order quickly, nor did they ship it quickly, nor from where they're based, nor have I even received it yet, so I'm still out of a vehicle a week later for a repair that could have been done in an hour if I'd gone with literally any other company that actually tries to serve their customers. I won't be ordering from them again.

I placed an order for an 02 Honda Civic left tail light replacement and saved $6 or so, as I saw it was cheaper than 1Aauto.com. Stupidly, as soon as I placed my order I became aware of how terrible the reviews for Carparts.com were. I immediately was skeptical of my order because I had not received a confirmation email in a timely manner. I went onto their website and contacted a representative through their online chat, and he kindly suggested that I check my spam inbox (which is where the email was).
I then very easily continued to track my order through FedEx over the next few days. The package came a day early, and my item was correct, unbroken, and properly boxed/protected. As a whole I am very satisfied with my order through Carparts.com, although I may have just gotten lucky (perhaps they are improving their business relations after all these bad reviews on here?).
My advice would be to not purchase an item that is overly expensive on here, as honestly I am still a bit skeptical about their mishandling of materials and how inconvenient it is to resend/cancel/exchange items. Takeaways: *Customer service rep was kind and professional (over chat). *Item was delivered a day earlier than expected. *The correct item arrived, unbroken and well packaged.

I googled dash cover for 2001 Dodge RAM several sites were displayed. I chose their site or a site that ultimately got me to their site. I looked up part putting my vehicle's info in, the site displayed my part giving description of part and what it fit. I placed it in basket and proceeded to check out where I paid with credit card. I received a cover for 68 Galaxy they will refund part but not pay for return shipping. I now will have $70.00 in shipping cost for a $118.00 part. When I asked for manager they would not send me to a manager. I will be 1.5 months to get my part if they are as slow as they were to send me the wrong part that was supposedly in stock! Very unhappy with no satisfaction from company. If you order make sure you talk to sales rep as the one I finally talked to order part sounded very competent unlike returns and service people who could barely understand english.

No need to contact a customer service representative, so I can't speak on that. But based on my experience, I would order again.

Ordered a dash pad for my 97 Trans Am, the part was listed as IN STOCK with a est ship date of 3-4 days. After a week of no updates from their website I called them to get a update and now they tell me it will ship in 8 more days. That's a total of 14 days just to put the part. They said was in stock into a box and send it out. Also after talking to them they told me that the part that is list in clear English on their website as being IN STOCK is actually a part that is made to order by a third party that they have no control over.

I received my package finally and the box had been broke open and taped back together. When I opened the box I was missing parts. I called carparts.com to tell them about the problem. They try and make it seem like it is my fault. They are now suppose to send me the missing parts but they do not email and let you know what is going on. So I sit with my parts that I cannot use and do not know whether I will ever be able too.

Bought fuel pump from them & it doesn't work properly. Vehicle still doesn't start right & now the fuel gauge is stuck on full of which that problem I didn't have before so it's actually made things worse than before I bought the part from them. I contacted them repeatedly about the problem & they just kept sending me bogus replies back & each time from a different representative. Then they finally told me to contact the warranty dept. Why should I have to contact the warranty dept if the part didn't work right from day one of receiving it?
Anyway, I contacted the warranty dept of which the rep couldn't understand English or speak it really either. Couldn't make heads or tails of the conversation & wound up getting even more aggravated & after getting nowhere hanging up. Not one of any of the reps via email or call said they would refund me & they just kept dragging it out.
So now I am not only having to buy the part & pay for installation all over again but I am out the money I paid them & the previous paid for installation. As it turns out I could have had the dealership put it in cheaper than this is costing me & I would have actually had a real warranty on it. Their receipt says if parts been installed it can't be returned. How do you know the part works or doesn't work unless you install it. They are an automotive parts co. so that's just flat out ridiculous & a way to get out of EVER paying anyone back for their faulty junk parts & they don't tell you this until after you've paid for the part. They call themselves Carparts.com but receipt from PayPal says they are (Auto Parts accounting@usautoparts.com).

On February 2nd 2016, a service rep from the Philipines called to tell my son that he was not getting a refund because the wheel hub had a scratch on it. I got on the phone and explained that we never even attempted to install the wheel hub because I knew it was the wrong part, as soon as the box was opened. I am positive we did not scratch this part. Sunshine said she would investigate the box from shipping and get back to me on the 4th of February.
I just got a return call from Sunshine @ 4:32 pm ET, today, 2/16/2016. Sunshine confirmed "NO REFUND" because the box was not damaged by the mail service. She had no clue who she was calling because she said she was returning my call from just the other day, She also had no info for us for return postage but said we needed to provide postage. I asked, "How much?" I tried to contact the corporate headquarters in Carson California but all calls connected back to the Philippines' service center. I call the 1800 number listed, talk to their foreign customer service reps who tell me they charge individually as parts are shipped. That everything is technically pending. I had to inform them that if those charges are pending, the bank considers it a full charge and removes those funds from my account. Meaning I now have $600.00 out of my account instead of the $300.00 I AGREED TO.
They use the customer as their "bank" for each item they sell. The items are all from separate vendors so they hold your money, then run your card again for each vendor. All I wanted was to buy windshield wipers from my car and it's turned into such a headache. First of all, when you Google my car's make and model plus windshield wipers, you land on a carparts.com page that says the exact make and model. So those are the wipers I ordered. When they arrived they didn't fit, so I wanted to return them. First, the link to "request a return" in my order email doesn't work. Then, when you go to their site manually and "request a return" the form doesn't work either. So I had to call them - some foreign overseas office that was difficult to understand - and the lady tells me I ordered the wrong part and have to pay return shipping. When I go back to the product listing, it doesn't clarify that the wipers are only for the wagon version of my car until much later on the page, below where you add the product to your cart, etc. Wouldn't it make sense to put that right at the top of it were only for a certain body style?!
Finally, to top everything off, I had to pay $8 return shipping and (they demanded) that I call back and give them the tracking number. When I go to get the phone number to call, it says there's a different return address than the one listed on the original package- the return department never said to send it to a different address! There are state laws against misleading/false advertising: "Have Sufficient Quantities on Hand -- When you advertise goods for sale, make every effort to have enough on hand to supply the demand that it's reasonable to expect. If you don't think you can meet the demand, state in your ad that quantities are limited. You may even want to state the number of units on hand. State law may require merchants to stock an advertised product in quantities large enough to meet reasonably expected demand, unless the ad states that stock is limited." When I replied that I had she showed me many bad reviews related to common complaints such as late shipping to more serious concerns such as receiving wrong items and being charged to return them. Needless to say I was concerned. So I watched my confirmation and shipping e-mails waiting for disaster to strike but my order went through without a hitch. The first two items shipped out and within one business day were picked up and put on a FedEx truck. The third and last item shipped out two days later.
It took my first two items a total of 7 days to travel from one end of the United States to the other. Carefully watching my FedEx tracking information my first two items arrived on the estimated delivery date, and the third one day later than estimated. Fully expecting something to go wrong I opened the boxes and found everything to be correct. I was very pleased. I read someone complaining about Carparts.com parts coming from a mish mash of salvage yards but this was not the case. These were brand new perfectly fitting parts. Nothing went wrong with the installation whatsoever and I was on the road again within a few hours or so.
After reading the negative reviews and comparing it to my experience with this company I believe most people only write reviews to complain. Carparts.com delivered the same quality of service as other trusted places I use like Rock Auto. My only regret is Rock Auto had one of the parts $20 cheaper. Overall a great experience. The shortest version of this story is that the company DOES NOT care about its customers. I made a purchase on TUESDAY, 4/14/2015 that was being shipped from Virginia (I live in Michigan). I received a tracking number from FedEx that same day. Friday, 4/17/2015 rolls around and there has not been ANY progress with the shipment. I call FedEx who tells me they don't even have my part. I call carparts.com where the service rep wasn't very helpful and very unaware. I tell her that I need to know the status ASAP so I can decide whether or not to purchase elsewhere and have overnighted if necessary. I was told she had to call me back but she didn't call back until it was too late in the day for me to order overnight shipping elsewhere, then refused to refund me stating that my part had already shipped!
I waited until the expected delivery date Tuesday, 4/21/2015 and FedEx just hands off to the post office who tells me to wait another 1 to 2 days for delivery. If this company cared at all about its customers, they'd use a professional shipping service. The $6 I paid for this garbage shipping service would've also covered the cost of UPS Ground and I'd have had my package in 2 business days. Totally unprofessional, I'd highly recommend paying $5 more and making purchases elsewhere - somewhere the company actually cares about you and your satisfaction!

After installation of the first headlight, the turn signal indicator in the car would go on and off at a fast speed, so I checked to see if the turn signal was working properly on the headlight itself. It was not. I thought maybe the new turn signal socket provided may have been defective, so I swapped it with the old socket. This solved the problem. The other headlight assembly also had the same problem. Again, using my old turn signal socket, the problem was solved. Although, it may be possible that they are both defective due to some sort of manufacturing glitch, it could also be a problem of incompatibility for certain models.
Another disappointment is that although the part is listed as OE, evidently the quality is not equivalent to original equipment. The reason I question the quality is that the chrome type finish inside the light at the top edge of the lens is not smooth, whereas the original headlight is smoothly finished at the top edges. This is on both headlights, but one is a little worse than the other. It's not real noticeable, but the one that is more pronounced than the other is a more of a concern. I'm now wondering if the top edge of the rough finish is going to start to peel. I reported the problems to Carparts.com, but am keeping them.

Since then I have no way of contacting them because there is no real contact information for them. I have left numerous messages and no one has called back. What can I do? I'm stuck with some parts I can’t use and have no way of contacting them. This is a fraud. Carparts.com should be shut down.

After our business was concluded, CarParts.com began to send numerous emails. Mostly advertising and marketing materials, influencing me to buy more parts from them. The 'unsubscribe' link had no effect, it just kept coming. Calling customer service did not help. The toll-free number is routed to their Asian call center where the CSR's can't speak English well. When they do speak they are consistently speaking over you and they refuse to listen to the customer. There is a lot of room for improvement with CarParts.com customer service.

I have now spent two days, over 4 hours and spoken with 12 people trying to get the RMA to return the parts and they want ME to pay the return shipping. I double and even triple checked with their person in the chat platform that I was order the correct parts for my car. I don't think I should have to pay the return shipping as I am already out the shipping to have it sent here and they made the mistake, not me.

I ordered an Infiniti g-35 replacement fender. I made sure I selected the correct item. I even took a picture before buying it. When the package arrived 4 days late from the scheduled arrival, I was amazed that the item they sent was for wn 03-06 Infiniti g-35 fender. So I called their customer service, asking them why they sent the wrong item and they had the nerve to say it was my fault and that the item number I tell them does not exist!
I looked on their website and the item was gone. I believe that they deleted it. Now I call again and they said to get a refund I need to return the item, but they never send the required information to return the item. And now FedEx, which delivered the item, wants to charge me $154 to return the item. In the end I will keep their item instead of going through all the hassle and never work with this company again. And I will also make sure that everyone knows that this company is a scam.

I placed an order with carparts.com for a set of headlights for my truck, I had electrical problems and had the driver side light was not working, so it was important that I replace them ASAP. I received my order about a week later. I brought the packages (Unopened) to my mechanic the next day and when we opened the box, both headlights were damaged and unable to be mounted on my truck. I called the customer service number and advised them of the situation. The woman I spoke with had to ask me at least 4 times what the problem was. After she found my order she let me know that she had processed the replacement parts and they would be sent out in the same time frame as the first shipment (I would of appreciated an expedited shipment in a sign of good faith).
I also asked about how I would receive a return label to send the defective parts back and was told I would receive an email with a return label as well as the new order and tracking info for the replacement parts. I received the customer service survey before we even got off the phone, but never received any new order or return shipping info. I waited 3 days and called back. It took the person I now spoke with 15 min to find my order and info, once he did I was informed that everything was there and I would again receive the info that day. I received the new order info but still no return shipping info. About a week later I received my replacement headlights and again one was damaged! Luckily my mechanic was able to mount it.
I again called customer service and let them know what happened just so they were informed and maybe rethink the way the parts are packaged and shipped. The agent didn't even acknowledge my comment and again told me I would be receiving an email with return info, but then told me there was a note in my file saying that "the parts weren't worth returning". Overall I am very dissatisfied with this company and will not be a return customer nor recommend them nor will my mechanic.

I don't know if I just got lucky, but my experience was much different than most on here. I ordered two parts. They were the lowest price I found anywhere online, or in stores. My parts did come in two shipments, with one item arriving 4 days after ordering, and the second arrived a week after I ordered; this was with the standard shipping method/speed (they note on the site that items may come in separate shipments, so this was not a surprise to me). So, I can't attest to how efficient they are with overnight or next day...
But the parts I ordered weren't keeping me from driving, just cosmetic repairs, so it wasn't an issue for me. My parts arrived in pristine condition, and packed well. They were both the correct parts that I ordered. I never had contacted Customer Service, I placed my order online, and made sure I knew, for myself, what part I was needing, before looking for it on the site to ensure I got what I needed. If you do your due diligence as a consumer before purchasing from this site, I feel you should have a good experience. (FYI- carparts.com is the exact same as autopartswarehouse.com, just at a much lower price point. If you do some searching around, you'll see for yourself).

I ordered a clutch fan for my trailblazer. The part took just under nine days to arrive and it arrived broken. Called the company and was told they would ship a replacement and was told that I would only have to ship back the damaged one if I received An email requesting to. I'm thinking great.
I received the second one and that one too was broken. Called again, I was asked to send photos to confirm the damage, and once they received the photos they would make a decision as to whether or not they would replace. Well no response so I called again, was told they would follow up on Monday and would email me the solution. Still waiting. Another phone call, I have now asked for a refund. They told me they don't want me to send the parts back, it will take 7 to 10 days for a refund. I've requested a confirmation email with these details but have not received it as of yet and the car parts are sitting on my kitchen counter.
Next stop to the bank to request my credit card company's assistance with regards to my refund. I am not paying Any shipping to return these parts, if the company wants them back, they will have to send me a prepaid shipping label to get them back. Tried to save a $100 but it's not worth all this trouble. This process has sucked a month out of my life and my car is not had the repair fixed as of yet. Pictures are of both parts showing the busted pieces.

For the most part, CarParts does a good job with the right parts and shipping. However, customer service for warranty needs help. The problem is that warranty is open M-F. If you need warranty replacement on the weekend, the agents will take the order and have you call in Monday to warranty to have the charges reversed. Warranty line certainly will help, but my case they credited the wrong order # and credited a lesser amount. Here starts the problem, in that they don't have a billing/credit department, so the agents don't know what to do. Ask for supervisor? Well I did, was told the first time to return the warranty part to get credit, which makes no sense short of it takes care of the problem on their end but leaves you without the warranty replacement. Hopefully CarParts will see this review - suggest that they setup a Customer Advocate Team, like so many other companies have.

I paid an insane price of shipping to get my part overnight. Well come to find out it's sitting in my city 2 days later with a missing apt number, so result, I'm still waiting on my part 6 days later, and they put a restriction on part so I couldn't even go to UPS and pick up my part. Thirty-dollar charge for overnight, their cure for their mistake was a $6.95 refund on shipping which I never received, and they are charging me $27.95 for regular ground shipping for a hose. INSANE!!! I paid 31 dollars before for 2-19 tires to be delivered. Where do they come up with these prices? Whenever you deal with a Middle Eastern call center for a company, be sure it raises red flags. You will get nowhere.
Apparently, 30 dollars means a lot due to the fact they can't even compensate the shipping for a mistake they made. Do not use this company. Had I read these complaints before, I wouldn't have used them. I should have went with my first choice which was NextDayAuto.com. Their shipping was $6.95 for one to two days, and they had fewer complaints. I learned my lesson - just pay the extra part cost with a reputable company. In my case, I should have just went to dealership. I would have still came out ahead with their double-priced parts.

I just checked the site again, after I was contacted by the customer service department that my survey review was incorrect and I was wrong. I checked again and every Coolant reservoir on carparts.com for a 2002 Ford Taurus is incorrect for my make and model. I even used my VIN and was given OE 1F1Z8A080AA, when the OE is 1F128A080AA, it should be 2 not Z. IN FACT doing a search on carparts.com for OE 1F128A080AA shows NO results: An exact match couldn't be found for your 2002 Ford Taurus SE 6 Cyl 3.0L 1F128A080AA.
I was easily able to find the correct part on another parts site within minutes, already had it delivered and I installed it last week. I trusted that the information I was getting from the site was accurate since that is what that site is for, which now I have found it is not and cannot be trusted when using the filter titles Select your Vehicle and reading the pop up that claims Guarantee this part fits your vehicle. When I received the wrong part, the part their site said to order and was the right fit, I had to endure an extraneous and tedious return policy, including submitting a dissertation on why I needed to return it, and the ridiculous restock charge. Every step of using this site and getting an incorrect part returned has been mechanical and ungrateful.
Lesson learned, never again. They got my money for the part, they got my restock fee and they got their part back. Looks like carparts.com was the big winner, as I lost out on 3 extra days of an unmovable car and had to shell out another $37 for the correct part. Now I know to not trust any site that offers a Parts Fit guarantee. Oh and just as an FYI from a customer service standpoint, I have received emails referring to me as MR WOMAN'S NAME from their CS team. Also the greeting in the last email states Good FIRST LAST as the greeting. The email about the return also requested I reply to said email with tracking number once shipped. I did this and it was promptly returned as an UNMONITORED mailbox and to send to another email. This type of attention to detail just confirms that I made the wrong decision ordering from carparts.com in the first place.

Nowhere on the order form was there any word about customer must check the measurements. There was a statement that the filter fits the 2006 Acura CSX. They did not listen to me and said I was therefore responsible to pay return shipping. This is for trusting them unduly when they said it would fit the car. Carparts.com I think Premeditates Shipping wrong parts out so you can send them back. The reason behind it I think is so they will make a few dollars off of each customer. Between their Prices, you and the Local Post office, they are gaining cash somewhere. I think they're running an illegal operation VIA IMMIGRANTS.
Sent me parts I did not order PROBABLY ON PURPOSE, then Charged me, then Denied doing it! Called Bank to confirm. They still deny Robbing me. So I just tried to return the extra parts and they first said "There was no parts." So I just returned what was on record. Confusing huhh! The Clutch KIT did not fit! I think they are making a few dollars on the shipping sending bad parts out Knowingly the parts will be returned. Premeditated. THEN THEY HOLD BACK ON THE FREE shipping return labels. They want you to ship the items back without it. I called down there and they apologized and within minutes I had free shipping labels emailed to me. AFTER I DEMANDED TO SPEAK WITH A BOSS, as like they was scared I was going to bust them for something.

My bank showed a pending charge for the full order amount and a second charge for a lesser amount. I called after two days and requested an order cancellation. I was told that one hose had already been processed and shipped and therefore I could only cancel the other hose and radiator. That was the explanation of the lesser charge on my account. I was also told I would receive a cancellation email to confirm cancelling the other two items.
The next day I received the one hose they charged me for. Two days later I received the radiator that I cancelled, and the following day the charge for the radiator appeared on my account. When I went in weeks later for a state inspection, I was told the headlight was pointing too far down and could not be inspected or adjusted by the normal adjustment screw due to either defect of the screw or what appeared to be excess plastic pinching the light housing inside the assembly. When I contacted CarParts.com in mid-February, they said a new part would ship. Several weeks later in March I called to find out why I had not received.
