Watch out for these people - the epitome of online bait and switch. Ordered 12 red roses in a vase to be delivered. Transaction processed and money taken. Immediately got an “urgent” email saying there was a problem with my order and I needed to call asap. Called them - didn’t have a vase and would I be ok with a basket. Said ok. Immediately got another email - “can’t guarantee the flowers ordered are available” and I should “trust their designers to deliver something nice” at the same price. At an original coat of $8.00 per rose, I don’t think so.... Argued with customer service representative for about 20 minutes to get the order cancelled. Don’t have the money back yet.

A friend's mother died, I wanted to send a small arrangement. I got a text message from a customer service agent. She told me no one has the flowers for the arrangement. They can send a nice Orchid. I did not want an orchid. Then she hung up on me, baby screaming in the background. Received another text message from someone else. This person could not find the order. Received another text message from another agent. The agent found the order, I asked that the order be cancelled. Received another text message from a senior staff member. I said that I wanted the order cancelled. She talked me into sending roses at a discount since they could not do the arrangement. There were supposed to be a dozen roses, six white and six red.
My friend received a dozen red roses even though a slip in the box said 6 white and 6 red roses. Noticing my bank statement they charged me two different times for orders totaling $111.52. Will never use their service again and will tell everyone I know about their terrible service. They are very difficult to contact which makes things difficult.

I ordered a plant to be delivered to a funeral home for a wake, it never showed up, never showed up the next day to the funeral, then they delivered a plant to the recipient and it was the wrong plant, do not, I repeat, do NOT use this company!!!

I couldn't attend the funeral of a beloved family member, so I placed an order for flowers with Avas Flowers on Dec. 21, 2022 for delivery on Dec. 26, 2022. Less than 2 hours before the funeral on Dec. 27, they contacted me, asking for an alternate address for delivery since they couldn't guarantee the flowers would arrive in time for the funeral. I had no alternate address and asked them to please try and call me if the flowers didn't arrive. I heard nothing from them but verified from a relative that the flowers did NOT arrive. It took two calls to their customer service the next day to get satisfaction. I had to go through the story with reps three times before I finally got a refund, but not until they tried to upsell me on taking a credit. Absolutely awful experience, and I've since read many reviews from others who experienced the same poor service. Unfortunately, I didn't check beforehand.

OMG. Where do I start! I placed an order for my Father's Funeral Dec 17th for a Dec 28th Delivery. More than enough time. The day before the funeral I check in with the church. They tell me flower never came. It was suppose to be a 12 noon delivery. By 3 pm they still haven’t arrived. I call Avas. They had me in hold for forever only to tell me the driver is still going to deliver (by the way the church is closed by this time). I literally was on the phone all night calling this company only to keep getting associates that clearly don’t know their job. I was given so many different excuses they started to tell me lies. I was getting invalid delivery confirmations which made me keep calling the pastor of the church for her to leave her home and keep driving to the church to see if they were left outside. I call them back once. She confirm they weren’t left outside.
I call back they tell me, "We don’t leave flowers outside. We bring them back to the floral shop," only to call me back and say they were left outside. Mind you all this is going on the night before the funeral . Still no flowers or call back. They tell me there was a glitch in the system. I’m like from two weeks ago when I place the original order? What glitch? They then tell me they will have the flowers delivered first thing in the morning at 9am for the 10 am funeral service. So now the pastor gets to the church early to open church and receive flowers, THE FLOWERS NEVER CAME. NOT NEVER!! Talking about livid. I couldn’t wait to the funeral was over to call them. They promised me refund of $15 then $20. I was like, "No. Refund all my money." They promise to send my family a fruit basket due to the inconvenience during this difficult time. Only for them to call me back and say fruit basket not available. LOL. This place is a joke!
Mind you the whole time I’m on the phone there is dogs barking in background and kids running around in background. I Want to also mention every associate sounds like they are young teens or collage students. Once heard dogs and kids in background a red flag went up like wait, "Is this an actual florist shop or a makeshift backyard floral shop." I wish I would read all these reviews before ordering.
This place is HORRIBLE. Good for nothing but ruining a special event or occasion. They truly do not care about their customers. I can only imagine how many times they ruined someone’s special day. In difficult times like this no one should be going through stress of einning behind some flowers, being lied to or simply the embarrassment of being stood up by a backyard floral shop. Do not waste your time spending good money on bad service. This place need to be shut down and closed personally. I think this is a scam to exhaust you out to give up on your money. Too exhausting. Very very unprofessional. GO TO 1-800-Flowers or You Flowers. Always 100% guaranteed good service.

I called Avas Flowers to see if they could deliver a balloon bouquet to a retirement party. I called on Dec. 16th for the bouquet to be delivered on Dec. 21st. Oh yes they could put together a beautiful balloon arrangement. It never got delivered! I had asked for a morning delivery. When I called inquiring I got a lot of excuses and "I'm so sorry", but they could do nothing about it. They told me they were calling the local florist, but could not get anyone to answer the phone there. I asked for the delivery to be moved to the 28th. No delivery on the 28th either. Their website makes it look like they are a local florist in the city you want the delivery to go to. They are not. Do not use Avas Flowers! Your recipient will never get your order. They are awful!!!

I order an arrangement for a funeral that was supposed to be a bushel of red berries in a vase. What I got was a vase full of carnations with a few gotten red berries. The picture did not have any flowers in the arrangement. Just red Christmas berries. Was very embarrassing.

On 12/21/2022 I placed a Flowers order for my wife's birthday and to be delivered on the next day. The next day 12/22/2022 I received a confirmation text message stating that has been delivered! Usually I call my wife on her birthday and she did not mention anything about the flowers! I called the next day 12/23/2022 wondering if she received the flowers and she said no! I called Avas Flowers customer services to find out about the delivery and I was put on hold for 25 minutes. At the end told me they are going to investigate the matter. Later in the day, I received a call from Avas providing an option to choose from to postpone the delivery date or to be reimbursed! I asked for reimbursement and they did! The funny thing they removed their advertisement from my social media right away. Be careful and mindful before placing any order with this company as they demonstrated being DISHOENT and LIARS!

Holiday Kiss arrangement ordered, not what was received. Both times no way near what was ordered. Very unsatisfied and disappointed that this company allows this to happen. What Was Ordered: Holiday Kiss (Image won't display here so you can look it up on their website.) 1st Delivery: This one measured from top to bottom a total of 10 inches and the vase looks like it is swallowing the flowers. Two stubby roses included, with a few cheap filler flowers and greens. This looks ridiculous on its own and cannot even compare to what was ordered. Plus, it was delivered to the wrong address. I had to walk in the rain to get it from my neighbor (my name and phone number was on the card). Our doors are clearly marked with our house numbers.
2nd Delivery: This delivery was supposed to correct the first failed order. Again, it does not compare to what was ordered and is so very sloppy. The roses are not fresh and the greens look like they were cut from someone's backyard pine tree. Just awful. I called the florist who delivered them, and they said the order they received from Avas called for 6 roses and greens. That's it. Where is the red vase, where is the ribbon, where are the Christmas greens and the red berries, where is the fullness? Where is the beauty of the arrangement that was ordered. There was no beauty at all. These arrangements are just ugly and both looked like something you would find on clearance in Publix. NOT what was ordered. It is not a nice feeling when you realize you were taken advantage of.

I have ordered for my friend and paid extra for delivery latest by 2pm. I got a text delivered at 10:30am. No flowers were delivered then call over 9 times and they asked me to keep searching my building. They can not locate the flowers. There is no updates and they can not get in touch with the driver. It really ruins everything and I am mentally stressed out the whole day after many calls. There is no answers on what happen to the flowers and I was asked to just keep waiting..

Ordered an $80 arrangement for a bereaved co-worker. What showed up was a sparse arrangement that was so embarrassing! Called customer service and they offered a re-deliver that next day. NEVER HAPPENED!

I searched for a local florist and this florist came up. They are NOT local. I selected a floral arrangement to be sent on a specific date. The recipient sent me a photo of the arrangement received. Not only was it not even remotely close to what was ordered, the quality was less (cheap carnations) and it was not delivered on the date specified. I opted not to contact them because I wasn't in the mood to go round and round on it. Lesson learned. Normally, I read reviews but this time did not, thinking it would be fine with a small local florist. Mistake. Never again. Do not use this company. They are shady.

This company is a scam. I ordered a wreath one week ago for my Godmother to be delivered today (Sunday) for the viewing. The called me today (!) to let me know that they would not be able to complete the delivery scheduled for today and asked if it was alright to deliver the wreath tomorrow to the church. When the first customer service rep was unable to admit they changed my original order, I spoke with Pamela the supervisor. She said that the salespeople are unaware that they would not be able to deliver on Sunday, even though they booked me for a Sunday delivery. (A clue to either the disorganization or the mendacity and false business practices of the company). She then informed me that they would also be unable to deliver to the church tomorrow and asked if it was alright to send the arrangement to the family's home sometime.
I believe they thought that I could not cancel since it would be difficult to get any other florist to deliver on time. I refused to be held hostage and insisted on a complete refund. This ended up being a 42 minute call. So, if you want to give a company your money knowing they can, will and have cancelled an order within hours of your delivery, please give them your money. Based upon some of the other reviews, this seems to happen quite often with them.

I ordered 6 balloons to be delivered to my daughter at her job on her birthday before she got off work at 2:00 pm. I was charged $85 for 6 balloons that were not even delivered! Please do not use this company ever!!

I call for flower delivery. I chose the flowers and before I place the order I ask it’s go to be delivery today and the ladies tell me yes. They call me 30 min later telling me that they don’t have flowers. I spend like 1 hour on the phone and no flower. They are liars, they don’t care about customer. All they want is get your money. Soon they get your money they call you back and tell you they don’t have flowers. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY.

NOT LOCAL!!! Recently my sister passed away several states away. Not being familiar with the local florists I googled “local florist is Coleville, Wa”. Ava’s was the first to pop up. The website was campy enough to be a small town website. So I ordered an arrangement and was VERY SPECIFIC to deliver to the funeral home and paid the extra fee for it to arrive by 11 the next day. Well it is 4 days post receiving and 3 days post funeral and no arrangement! There have been phone calls, emails, and yet I cannot get an intelligible person to talk to. I hope I get my $182 back. Terrible device and they are hurting local businesses!

Ordered flowers for my sister's birthday in plenty of time, a week before her birthday. Not only could they not get the flowers that were ordered, but they missed her birthday and now it's been two days past her birthday and the flowers are still not delivered. I called to ask for help and they said they couldn't help, it was up to UPS to deliver. Do not order flowers from this business, don't waste your money. They will not refund when they make a mistake.

Do not order from this company. I ordered a simple arrangement and paid $26.00 additional service fee (?) and the arrangement never arrived, called the next day and they said there were not any flowers available to make the arrangement and I needed to wait 4 additional days for flowers to be delivered to the local florist! My 34.00 arrangement ended up costing $69.00 and that was with a free delivery coupon! They never could deliver the arrangement in the end....Unbelievable. A rating of "1" was the lowest I could give....It should be a "0".

I went online Friday. They had a delivery date of Sunday available so I picked it 'cause that happened to be the person's birthday. Immediately getting a text saying they can't deliver it that day but they could deliver today early on Sunday so I said okay and then I get another text saying, "We can't deliver it until Monday" and then on Monday I get another text saying, "We can't deliver it until Tuesday or Wednesday." Absolutely ridiculous so I asked for a full refund and I'm waiting to see if they actually put it back in my bank account or not. Most ridiculous service I've ever had for anything ever. Absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this place for anyone ever.

Ordered flowers on 11/18 to be delivered on 11/19 after 12:00 noon. Received an email at 2:01 pm asking me to call. I did and was told that they could not deliver on the requested date. No real reason given. Wanted to deliver on the following Tuesday which defeated the purpose of the anniversary. Their customer service on the phone was just as bad. Waited on hold for 20 minutes to get an explanation and then got the same "I m sorry". Called McNamara Florists and they got the job done on 2 hour notice. Will never use any florist that uses Avas delivery service.

My niece won a very prestigious nursing award called the daisy award. I wanted to celebrate her by sending a beautiful vase of daisies. She lives in NC and I'm in AL so I googled florists in her area and Avas popped up. I called to make sure they had daisies and was assured they did and could deliver it that afternoon. I told her I wanted the "You're So Special" daisy bouquet and she quoted me a price that was twice as much as the web site said so she gave me "her discount". It was still overpriced but it didn't matter as long as it was nice.
A little while later I got a call that it couldn't be delivered that day but would be there the next morning. A couple hours later I received another call saying they didn't have daisies but could substitute fall flowers. I was adamant that it had to be daisies and was told it would be and they deducted $30 for the inconvenience. They weren't delivered until the following afternoon and were left on the porch. When my niece finally got the flowers she sent me a picture. There were two wilted daisies, a few wilted fall flowers with a note that said something like "designers choice fall flowers". They don't give refunds but offer store credits. No thank you. I'm telling everyone I know not to use Avas ever!

I placed an order for an arrangement called Winter Wonderland. The arrangement that was delivered to my niece was nothing like the picture, not full, not a single rose. It was unacceptable. I called to let the company know and they arranged a redelivery and a pick up of the previous arrangement. Once again, this arrangement was half the size of the first and even further apart from the photo and said Winter Wonderful. With tax and fees, I spent $90. It truly looks like a $24 grocery store arrangement. This "company" is a total bait and switch operation. There is no direct number to the florist. Please never use this for your floral needs. We are embarrassed by what was delivered and it there just doesn't seem to be any recourse to get this corrected or to get our money refunded. I would be happy to provide photos of what we ordered vs what was delivered the first and second go round.

The worst experience I have EVER had ordering flowers. I paid extra to be delivered same day and 48 hours later and 10 phone calls and 3 hours mostly on hold, I still don't have flowers. This company is a scam. They came up with so many excuses and lies, I really think they don't actually do anything but try to wear you down and just give up your $100. This company is a scam - do not order unless you really like talking with strangers on the phone in different countries.

Ordered the Blue Sympathy Wreath size medium with upgraded flowers for my Mom’s funeral. It was to be the my last gift to my mother. The wreath was supposed to be 24”, it was maybe 18”. The flowers were not an upgrade. I was assured that even though the the flowers were to be delivered the day before the funeral they would still look lovely. The flowers were not wilted but they certainly were not fresh. In moving the wreath to the cemetery several of the flowers fell off. Not a quality product.

My husband’s aunt passed away, so I contacted Avas flowers online and started putting the information in. I wanted to make sure that it was going to get there, so I called them. The representative that I spoke to indicated that they would not be able to get it to the funeral home in time. I asked, would you be able to get it to the church? She then indicated that if I just gave her the funeral information that she could have it expedited. I told her if they could not get it there in time, that I would need to contact another florist that could. She guaranteed me that the flowers would be there. I said are you sure. She said yes. Then she sent me a link to pay, and it was supposed to be a done deal.
I got a text about at 10:29 AM, saying URGENT AVAS FLOWERS UPDATE. We Need To Speak With You Regarding Delivery Of Order #**. Contact Us @ (877) 638-6619. My husband texts at the same time and said what do the flowers that we sent look like? I told him that I was on the phone because I just received a text message. I called and gave my order number and the same lady I spoke to yesterday said what is your name, told her, who is billed under, told her, what time is the funeral, told her 11:00. I was livid because she would not get to the point.
She said I am sorry but we will not be able to get flowers there. I went off! She said well we can give you 50% off, I said, absolutely not! I said you need to give me a full refund! She said well, we only normally give 50% refund, I said our whole conversation is recorded from yesterday to today and you guaranteed me those flowers would be there, I even said if you could not do it, to please let me know so that I can order it from another florist! She put me on hold, and came back and said well can we send it to their home address to at least let them know that you thought about them. I said absolutely not. I want a full refund and I want a full refund now! I was so mad because I even said I would go to a different florist if they couldn’t deliver.
If I would’ve went to a different florist, I would had no problems of getting it there. I am so mad and embarrassed because these flowers was from 3 families that went in it together. I told her I will never order anything from them again she then put me on hold again and came back and said we’re giving you a full refund, you should have it within 5 to 7 days.
In my opinion and personal experience Do not, absolutely do not order from this company. They are going to do nothing they tell you they are going to do. The sad part is, when I decided to write this review, I started looking at all the other reviews about them, and I should’ve done that in the first place. I can promise you I will never recommend this company to any of my family, friends, coworkers, or club members of mine.

Where did begin! Arrangement I ordered was substituted., As NO lilies were in stock. I asked 4 or 5 times if the arrangement would still be made in vase shown.... I was told YES each time. Delivered 2 days late. So, flowers were substituted and no one could tell me what would be used in place of the lilies. The vase was substituted. Delivery was 2 days later than promised. I was told Avas Flowers was located in downtown Whitefish... I suspect it is NOT! I asked for the the shop's local phone number and told that they could not give out that information. What a Mess!! I will NEVER use Avas Flowers again and I suggest you don't either!

I ordered flowers, that were never delivered. I called the day before, to order flowers. The salesperson on the phone, told me no problem, they'll definitely be delivered the next morning. Don't do business with them.

I ordered a plant for $39.99. They had a delivery fee of $9.99 - fine. But a service fee of $24.99 was added. So the total for this plant came to $84.45. An outrageous price for a $39 plant. When I called and complained, they discounted $10 from the service fee. Still outrageous.

Original flower arrangement started wilting within 24 hrs. Wrote on Avas website of displeasure. Avas called back soon after. I decided to go with equivalent over $100 arrangement. Avas said would call florist 'designer' as they call it and would get back to me soon. After nothing called back 6 hours later. Avas rep said would chat with designer, I said I would hold online. After 40 minutes holding Avas got back to me. Said replacement flowers to arrive tomorrow. They did but much smaller arrangement, basket replacement not same type or size. Driver not part of florist or Avas but hired to deliver flowers was friendly but said original flowers came from Safeway floral and replacement came from a different Safeway. Both locations are 20+ miles away from our home whereas their are 4 to 5 florists much closer but didn't use those actual florists.

Avas Flowers rose to the occasion and made every effort to rectify and resolve my complaint. They reached twice, apologized and made sure they redeliver a better dish garden. Still not the same item as advertised on the website, but I'm changing my review from 2 to 4 STARS for a better effort on their part. Thank you.

I ordered a dish garden called "Garden Pleasures Basket" on 11/20/2022 to be delivered 11/22/2022 for a special friend for her birthday and was so disappointed and embarrassed with item delivered. It's not even close with what they show on their website Avasflowers.net. They claim to have 5 Star reviews on their website. But obviously, it's so biased and did not show true reviews as I read here in Consumer Affairs Reviews. I should have checked their reviews here!
To make matters worse, the card used was not even a birthday card. It's some random card with hideous picture of vine roses climbing on a table. And they charged me $6.99! More like .99 cents card! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. This is the second time, I paid expensive online flower from a flower shop and I WILL NEVER order again online from any company! It's a rip off and waste of money! For Avas Flowers, I'm giving them TWO STARS because they delivered on time. That's about it!

I ordered same-day delivery, and I paid TWICE the price for it. The flowers came TWO DAYS LATE, they were nothing like the picture I chose, the arrangement was too small, and it all came in a GARBAGE BAG. Worse yet, the garbage bag was not secured by anything (it was just loosely placed over the vase), so it tipped over. The vase leaked all over the recipient's patio and left a stain. This is BY FAR the absolute WORST experience I've ever had ordering flowers. DO NOT ORDER FROM AVAS FLOWERS.

Ordered flowers for a funeral and they call me the morning of the service to ask for the families' address as they are unable to deliver to the church on time. What an embarrassment, that their offer of a refund can't fix. Don't waste your time ordering from them, you will be sorry!!!

I purchased a large funeral floral spray costing $200 for my mother-in-law on September 30, for her October 15 memorial service. I paid an extra $10 to have a ribbon in the words Mimi printed on the sash. I then ordered another floral arrangement on behalf of my father and siblings for my mother-in-law. I received two texts and two email confirmation that the flowers were delivered to the funeral home at 9:30 in the morning, on the day of the funeral. Flowers were never delivered. $350 worth of funeral flowers. Despicable, disgraceful, disgusting.

The flowers they showed are NOT even close to what they sent. Paid over $100.00 for flowers that looked like they were picked out of an old field and just put into vase. No arrangement at all. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE and quite embarrassing. They should sent refund for crap field flowers. Can't believe they actually sent something that looked the way it did!!!

Ordered the large Dreaming of Tuscany arrangement along with 5 balloons for my husband and our anniversary. To say that the arrangement was disappointing is an understatement! The arrangement size was their smallest and 4 balloons were missing. Totally killed the moment. Also was looking for a local florist and they popped up, they are not local - they are out of New Jersey. We had a great time laughing and making jokes about the arrangement, but will not be using or recommending Avas Flowers to anyone!

I wish I’d read the reviews here before ordering from Avas Flowers. I placed an order for a $65 plant basket for same-day delivery, and a few minutes after ordering received a notice that the item I ordered was unavailable, and same day delivery was not available. I tried to cancel my order both online and by phone. I was placed on hold for a long period, then disconnected. I sent several messages attempting to cancel the order, and received a text saying my request had been denied. The orchid that arrived was damaged. Several blooms were crushed or broken, and it looked like the plant had been exposed to severe cold. Also, the orchid I had paid $65 (+ $15 delivery) for was exactly the same as the orchid plants available in my grocery store for $19.99, right down to the cheap white pot.

Placed rush for flower delivery 11am Monday Oct 4. No delivery still and it is Oct 6 1pm. Avas rep named France promised me flowers would be delivered Oct 6 asap in morning… Refused to give me full refund of flowers just rush fee and service fee; yet their website states they would give refund if delivery isn’t done as requested and full delivery. Oct 6 1pm spoke to Avas manager Vernice, and she told me what France stated to me was incorrect and flowers won’t get there until end of day… Yet France (first rep of Avas) made a promise flowers would be delivered today oct 6 asap in am time so company is held accountable…. The manager Vernice argued she doesn’t know why she did that and still refused to give me refund of $69.99 but only $10; because they cannot give full refund because they have to pay florist for handling of flowers.
These flowers are going to hospital for person fighting for their life to be able to survive outside of hospital and mother of 3 children with also muscle dystrophy and her youngest has muscle dystrophy also! It’s going to be 72 hrs late and they also refuse to give me corporate's number so doling complaint with BBB. False advertising in website stating they will contact person if any delays in delivery. Never did I had to 24 hrs later… And states they will issue refund if the order does not get delivered as requested… And that has not happened and given above excuses why and over 48 hours still waiting for person in hospital fighting medically for quite awhile in hospital when it was a 4 hr rush order and no one contacted me to tell me it couldn’t be delivered over 48 hrs later.

My bf sent me flowers from Avas Flowers today in GA, and I can’t express how disappointed we are with your services! Never again will we use y’all, he spoke with your rep at 9am this morning and was told it would arrive no later than 12. By 3pm he texted me asking if i received anything at my job, to which I replied no, so he reached out to the agency and was told they would be out to me soon. He was so upset, he was trying to surprise me at work & they ended up calling me to let me know the driver was an hour away. At 4:20 she said would try to make it by 6, & I asked she call me because my job closes at 5 so I would meet her.
By 5:35 I had called & texted multiple times to which I received no response. She finally texted me at 5:51 “I took it to your job”. I texted back to see if she left it with someone there or if she simply left it outside? After several messages, I received NO REPLY! I went to my job & sure enough they were outside the door. Keep in mind there is currently an advisory for bad weather starting today due to the hurricane! If I wouldn’t have gone to check they could have been stolen or damaged! My bf spent good money trying to surprise me & was so upset about the entire thing. I hope no one uses y’all, worst experience EVER! SMH!!!

My husband ordered flowers on September 23, 2022 for our 20th wedding anniversary. He found this site through Google Maps. It CLAIMED Same Day delivery to Irwin. Order was placed at 10AM. At 11:30AM he got an urgent text to call. Not only could they NOT deliver to Irwin they could not provide the arrangement he ordered. $20 credit was issued and he was told they COULD deliver to our home that day. At 4:30PM he received a text saying the order had been delivered to our house by FedEx.
When I got home there were no flowers. I called the number provided and was told that text had been sent in error and my flowers would be delivered the next day. I did the next day at 1:30PM receive a beautiful arrangement from a local florist. Not the order he originally placed, not even the color ribbon he requested when asked by Avas, and certainly not on the correct day. Yesterday he received a call from the local florist that Avas had contacted them and accused them of never delivering the flowers! He was asked to send them a photo so they could send it to them as proof. They spoiled our 20th anniversary with their false advertising and are now attempting to rip off the local florist!

I ordered a set of flowers for delivery. Though the flowers only cost about $45.00 I was charged about $93.00, including the cost of delivery. I accepted it. I waited and waited for the delivery to arrive at the recipients' house. I called customer service after seeing on the website that it was marked "Delivered". They told me that they decided to mark their orders that way ahead of time. Finally, late at night, I gave up on it because deliveries are not made at 9:00pm. This is just a scam. There is nothing complicated about a simple flower order like this: I have ordered from other florists online. If I could give this company zero stars I would.

I ordered 2 arrangements for a memorial service through Avas. That very day I received a phone call from Avas that the florist couldn't make the one arrangement I had ordered but would make one of the same price and colors which were red and white. The next day I received another call from Avas and the other arrangement couldn't be done either but they could send me 2 dozen red roses instead. I agreed to that. I received, the night before my brother's memorial, purple glittered roses. The most inappropriate arrangement for a memorial service. On top of that, I had to pick up the first arrangement after it said free delivery. They then called me the day of the memorial to see if I had received my order. I asked for a refund on the purple roses. They would only give me half of what I had paid. They are definitely a scam.

I was very disappointed at how small the arrangement was for the exorbitant price of $114.40. Especially since I upgraded the plant arrangement. This was ordered for a person that suffered a loss in her family due to an unexpected tragic death. The company already charged 9.99 for delivery, and then a service fee of 28.04. (what is a "service fee") along with a price for upgrading the arrangement. Arrangement was very small. I checked Avas Flowers' prices against other florists in the area and if I done my research more carefully and had time to do so I would have never, and will never order from Avas again. Complete over pricing for an arrangement that was exceptionally small. I plan on passing this on to all my colleagues.

I ordered a floral arrangement with the promise of same day delivery. I called the company to get more information on the local florist they were supposedly using. I was given the name of a local business: William Paul Floral Design in Austin and called the florist at 737-400-4476. When speaking with the clerk however, they received no such order, told me they do not take orders from Avas Flowers and also told me they are a well known scam internet business.
Within 5 minutes of having originally placed my order, I called Avas flowers and they refused to refund me. I pressed them about the lie and asked them what other local florists they supposedly use and was then told they couldn’t tell me due to “florist privacy laws”. I laughed. They immediately charged my credit card though no flowers were ever delivered. I ordered flowers from this company in the amount of $150 for a funeral. They told me they would inform upon delivery. That never happened. I tracked the order and was informed it had been delivered. I contacted the funeral home. They said they had no such delivery. I was then responsible for contacting Ava's, who told me "Oh, it says delivered because it left the florist. It will be there by 7pm and we will notify you". 9 pm came and no notification. I called the funeral home. They said "We close at 6 pm and we didn't get any flowers".
The next day I was charged with calling Ava's again. This time they said, "Yeah... we haven't been able to get in contact with the florist, so they may not have actually sent the flowers. We will find another florist and get it delivered ASAP". They claimed they would let me know when they arrived. Well of course, no notification and I was tasked with having to call them AGAIN! I mean. There is already death in the family... do you have no sympathy! They say it's delivered and so I call the funeral home to verify (because of course I can't trust Ava's at this point). Yes, they have the delivery, they confirmed. But no, it wasn't what I paid for. No Banner... which cost me an additional $10. No stand, though I ordered a standing arrangement. I ordered a $102 arrangement for my mother, who recently had neck surgery. I searched on Google for a local florist who could accommodate a same-day delivery (my parents live in a remote town in Florida and I wanted to give my business to the local florist). I was misled by the false advertising (that Avas Flowers was local) and placed my order. Within an hour, I received a text message stating that there was an issue with my arrangement availability. I clicked the link and was directed to choose a new delivery date--new delivery date 8/16; initial same-day delivery 8/13. I did not proceed because I did not pay an exuberant "service fee" to be inconvenienced.
At this point, a few red flags went off in my mind. First off, I did not receive an email confirmation and thought it was weird that I was receiving text messages. Second, why was the arrangement I had JUST ordered experiencing issues? The arrangement was featured on their website and therefore should be available; if it is not available, take it off. In addition, why was my same-day delivery now being pushed to 3 days? In that case, I should be charging them an inconvenience fee.
These red flags caused me to research the company and we all know what came up...SCAM. I immediately sent in a cancel request (as they were closed) and would follow up this morning. Avas Scam Flowers called me twice this morning--first time @ 9:28A from their 877 # and the second time @ 9:29A listed as an UNKNOWN NUMBER. I might just be jumping to conclusions but if this was a professional establishment their communication wouldn't be so incompetent--text messaging customers, calling multiple times in 30 second intervals, blocking the phone number, and not to mention their automated system hangs up on you for no apparent reason.
Also, when you go to the "SUPPORT" tab on their website, why are there so many issues listed and paragraphs of text supporting these claims? What are they trying to justify? All the various ways they can anger and scam customers? That is my guess. I spoke with a "representative" and told her I expect a full refund for reasons of Avas lack of availability, BS delivery, but most importantly because of their intentionally misleading advertising. I was offered a $15 discount. I said "no." I received another stupid text message stating my refund was issued. So let's see if I get my refund. Happy note: I found the REAL local florist and ordered a beautiful bouquet for my mother.

Telephone order for same day delivery. This was an important event for teachers returning to school. The order was placed at 1pm and I was assured that delivery would happen. I received a notification that it was delivered when, in fact, it was not. Further investigation revealed it never left the florist and it's going on day 2! They offered to remedy the situation by offering $15 off! You've got to be kidding! Wish I could've reported how the arrangement looked; unfortunately, I never saw it! I ordered flowers for my mom early Friday morning. I had searched for Old Lyme florists. Avas Flowers came up first. They advertised same day delivery. The service charge of close to $30 was definitely unusual and thinking I was paying higher for same day deliver from a likely new mom and pops shop in the area, I went ahead and purchased. I received a confirmation Friday evening that the flowers were delivered from the company. I also received confirmation from my mother that she did not receive anything. Hoping that next day it would be delivered, I received a call Saturday afternoon from Avas Flowers asking to postpone and would consider giving me $15 off to allow them to deliver on Monday. Given that I would clearly pay extra for delivery on the same day, the request blew my mind. What a failure, a truly horrible company. Everything about their website is misleading.

I ordered a funerary floral arrangement to be delivered to my dad from here. But I tried within a couple of hrs of placing order since my dad preferred that we donate to a charity. After bombarding me with calls from just to tell me that they refuse to cancel which could have been said in an email or text. Since they could not cancel it, I asked if it would be delivered in time and if they delivered to rural areas. They said yes it would be delivered before noon and that they were able to deliver to the address provided. It's already noon and my family hasn't received the arrangement. And based what I have seen from other reviews, they are probably going to send the cheapest thing available. Even though I paid over $150.

I ordered flowers for my 30th wedding anniversary and was guaranteed delivery on the 14th of July. After numerous inquiries regarding the status on my order, which is done thru an automated phone service, I was told that I would receive an email or text stating the status of my delivery. After several attempts to get the status (with no notification either by email or text) I called the customer support line. At the end of countless redirects on the automated phone system I received a recording that deliveries were not being made due to "Non Binary Person Day" and that live person customer support would not be available until the next day.
On the morning of the 15th I called to state my dissatisfaction with the non delivery but was told that the delivery was made (apparently this statement was made by the delivery driver) by 7pm on the 14th and there was not a problem. I then proceeded too inform the customer support individual my dissatisfaction with this whole problem and was informed all they could do is refund $20 for my problems.
After reviewing my security camera footage and seeing the delivery man on my doorstep the morning of the 15th, the customer support individual then proceeded to tell me that due to high volume, the delivery could not be made by 7pm on the 14th and that it was indeed made on the 15th (strange that it was admitted after I could show proof that it was in fact not delivered on time). After spending $40 for guaranteed delivery and service and proving that services were not completed as promised and as guaranteed, this to me is a slap in the face along with extreme anger being blatantly lied too about the service not to mention the floral arrangement was wilted and of poor quality. Whatever ever you do, do not trust this company with any type of quality service or product. You will not be extremely unhappy and frustrated with the end result.

Ordered flowers on Thursday for Friday delivery, having been misled by their website that Avas was local! Today is Sunday and we had to leave. The birthday flowers have not arrived, despite email promises and failure to callback. Avas had no difficulty in immediately debiting my card, clearly despite having any guarantee of delivery. Surely this is fraudulent practice? I should have read the Avas reviews first! Seeing the multitude of one stars, I suspect this company must be internet-based overseas! No company of this standard should be allowed to remain in business.

I should've done my research. I was searching for a florist in my friend's hometown and Avas popped up. I thought it was a local florist....only to find out it's some nationwide service. I ordered the flowers on a Saturday (holiday weekend). They attempted to deliver the next business day and were not successful. I have tried to get a hold of them to give them a timeframe for delivery due to funeral arrangements, but their automated system is terrible. There is no live person to talk to or give instructions. I am very disappointed and looks like I will need to reorder flowers from a reputable place.

I ordered a dozen long-stem roses to have delivered to our hotel room in Maui to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. I placed the order five days in advance and was promised they would be delivered to our hotel room either Sunday evening or Monday morning. (The day of our anniversary.) I asked several times; "are you sure you can deliver on Sundays and holidays?" "Oh yes, this delivery is guaranteed." Monday came and went with no flowers, AND, no email, text, or call letting me know the status of the order. I called in on Tuesday morning and only got an automated system. They called back a few hours later and said they could deliver them on Wednesday, which was two days past our anniversary, PLUS, the day we were leaving Hawaii. I can't tell you how disappointed in them. I highly recommend YOU NOT use this service.

I bought a bouquet for my mother from these scam artists the day before Mother's Day, but after making the payment, I checked the receipt they'd emailed me and saw that they'd charged me a $27.94 "service fee" that was not listed on the bill when I made the payment. I immediately tried cancelling the order online, and I received an automatic message saying that I couldn't cancel the order. I immediately emailed them asking to cancel the order and issue me a 100% refund, and they never responded. I called them as well and no one picked up.
They delivered the order the next day, and when I called them again after to get my money back, they never answered. I contacted my bank to dispute the payment, and Avas Flowers flat out lied, saying I'd never contacted them about a refund so they were denying my request. Clearly this company is designed to scam people and then insulate themselves from any negative feedback. They don't answer when you contact them, and they add hidden charges that are probably written in microscopic text at the bottom of the page or something. They clearly don't exist to help customers, but rather scam them out of their money.

I wanted to send a mini rose bush. Called to place the order. The agent said the item was in stock and even suggested the yellow rose bush because it was the nicest, had the most buds, etc. Said she was looking right at them. Instead they sent a peace lily with 2 cut yellow roses sticking out of it. EVERYONE ALREADY HAS A PEACE LILY - I didn't want to send a peace lily! When I talked to customer service they said they would either refund me half or they would pick up the wrong order and deliver the correct one. This was a sympathy gift for someone who just lost his father - I'm not gonna bother him with this pettiness of having to return the peace lily.
I raised holy hell with the agent insisting that they just deliver the correct item and forget about picking up the peace lily, but they wouldn't do it. They finally agreed to refund me in full, which is stupid because it seems it would be cheaper for them to just deliver the rose bush, but whatever - I'll use the refund to order the rose bush somewhere else. I will never use this company again and wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. Live and learn. Avoid this company because they seriously suck!

Says free delivery but then adds $25 service fee at the very end after you put in all credit card info. Has a place for notes about order, but they ignored the notes & tried to deliver when my daughter was not home, even though I asked them not to deliver before this time. They did not leave them there, which I do not understand why, but instead called her at work & told her she had to pick them up! These were supposed to be a surprise for her!
When I called the # they gave her it didn't work, so I tried to call the # on website and sat on hold forever & I had to go. Emailed them with no reply. Then they called her again the next day to tell her she had to pick them up, they told her I only paid for a one time delivery?? What?!! I was looking for a unique and summerlike arrangement to send to my "Better Other Mom", or my aunt who is 92, and my friend and mentor. Avas had one and they were having free delivery at the time also. Knowing how much delivery usually costs I decided that the arrangement was perfect and to have it delivered the next day. Went thru all of the checkouts there is the as we all do and sure enough there it is.
Service charge and handling charges plus tax make the total a lot more than the arrangement at full price plus full price delivery etc. Well, I just about canceled but the flowers were too unique and the arrangement did so different that she should and would have it. I ordered it. That was that. I did leave them a message about the amount and how it was handled and that I was not a happy customer. However, when my aunt received the flowers the delivery lady had a big smile on her face as she handed them to her. My aunt immediately called and texted me both and said that this one "WAS THE BEST ONE YET" because I send her flowers every month. Her pleasure and smiles were worth the money but I do not like the way you are not apprised or informed (although I know about the service and handling) but $20.00 for handling?

I ordered a plant for a sick friend in Chattanooga. The Plant was delivered as promised and in good quality. I was most surprised and not happy when my friend sent me a picture of the delivery tag. It had a quote from John of the gospels. I am not a Christian and neither is my friend. I realize it is in the South, but it is tasteless and presumptuous to think everyone wants to read this. I would never impose my value system on someone else when all they wanted to do was purchase something. Maybe they should ask and not wear their piety on their sleeves. Placed order for a birthday bouquet for my daughter out of state. Selected “like displayed” for the bouquet size. It was not the largest or smallest option. The bouquet displayed was beautiful. It arrived on the day requested but considerably smaller than the bouquet displayed. I sent a photo of the expected ordered bouquet to my daughter and she replied I must’ve gotten ripped off because it was quite a bit smaller and unlike the product displayed.
I called the company to explain my dissatisfaction and two offers were either be given $25 of a $75 order back or They would remake the bouquet. I told them I could have picked that bouquet that was delivered at the store! It was terrible. The offer of a refund of $25 was grossly unsatisfactory. So I took the option to have them remake the bouquet so at least she get more of the flowers I felt I paid for. Oh which they are not able to have redelivered until two days later.
I asked for the name of the floral agent who delivered the bouquet because I would not want to use them if I ordered flowers directly in the future. Because clearly Ava’s doesn’t care about quality. They would not tell me who the floral agent was. So I asked my daughter. It was no shock that the floral agent was indeed a grocery store. So will somebody please explain to me why a grocery store can’t remake a bouquet and have it re-delivered same day? Ugh. I would stay clear of Ava‘s flowers. If the best they can do with a floral agent in a big city is a grocery store to fill a floral order then it’s obvious better florists are staying clear of them to contract with also.

I ordered online, they accepted order for delivery next day - I paid in full - then mid morning the day of delivery - they text me telling me they cannot make the delivery and I need to pick another day. I literally have someone dying in the hospital and they cannot get flowers there within 24 hours of the order being placed. They offered maybe in the next few days for a 10% discount - REALLY!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!

Avas Flowers is a misleading company. They advertise as having stores in towns and Zip codes that they DO NOT have physical stores. They do not ship what you order and add additional service charge and delivery to your order even when a delivery coupon is given. They do not deliver in a timely manner and they do not have people to talk to about delivery. It is a machine. Usually you order for a special occasion. DO NOT order from AVAS flowers. You will be disappointed.

I ordered flowers to be sent to my daughter in another state. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and did not do my research but clicked on Avas Flowers, the first in the list, The customer service rep convinced me that in order to get what I wanted I would have to upgrade my order. This was a very special occasion, so I did to the tune of $113.00. My daughter sent me a picture of the arrangement. It was not what I specified in terms of color and flowers and not what I expected given the cost. What she got was a very basic arrangement and a balloon. Plus a service fee of $20. I also had a code for “free” delivery, which was not applied. Lesson learned-research and read reviews before purchasing.

Terrible! This morning, the customer service representative promised this florist, alone among four other florists I called, could do a Sunday delivery for a funeral. This afternoon, another customer representative called to say nope, it would be Saturday delivery. Then for every question I had, she read from some prepared script. I had a very, very, VERY difficult time canceling the order entirely. They also were going to charge a $20 "processing fee," $5 "ribbon fee," $5 "card fee," AND a delivery fee! My $80 arrangement soared up to $132 and would NOT have been fresh for my aunt's funeral.

I ordered flowers for a viewing and funeral. I ordered several days prior to the service. The flowers were not delivered. I spoke with several people who assured me they could not deliver on time for either event and would deliver to the home of the deceased family on Monday. Guess what? No delivery. Called again. They admitted they farmed it out and could not get in touch with that florist. So now it is 4 days after the funeral and they once again assured me delivery. This is an awful company to do business with. Please do not use them. They took a tragic situation and added layers of stress. And for this they took my money. I am disgusted with every person I spoke to and the company.

Ordered flowers for my daughter’s first day at a new job to help with her anxiety. I ordered the flowers 3 days before I needed them delivered! The flowers were delivered 2 days late, not anything that looked like what I ordered, and could NOT get a person on the phone. Please do not order anything from this florist! You would do better to go to the grocery store and buy something in their floral department- and it would be cheaper! Needless to say, my daughter still had 1st day jitters and sad that no flowers were delivered. Not the place to use if you are needing dependability!

They had 3 attempts to deliver flowers and could not find a place to do it each time telling me they would resolve it immediately. The only good thing out of it was they gave a full refund. Unfortunately my wife did not receive the anniversary flowers intended for her. This place is full of empty promises and not at all reliable.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my sick grandmother on a Sunday, and my dad (her caretaker) stayed home all day waiting for the flowers. They never arrived. I called their "customer service" line to ask what was going on, but after getting through the long phone tree, was then informed by the automated voice that their customer service agents aren't available on the weekends. On Monday morning, I called twice--the first time I was hung up on. Once I finally got an individual on the phone, they told me the flowers couldn't be delivered because the local florist filling the order isn't open on Sundays.
Um, shouldn't you know that ahead of time and not tell customers their orders will be delivered when they can't possibly be delivered? They had no answer to that and just assured me my order would be delivered that afternoon. Well, flowers were delivered that afternoon but it most definitely was not what I ordered. The arrangement didn't even have the same colors of flowers and certainly not the same type of flowers as the arrangement online. Supremely unhappy with this company, but once they have your money, they aren't giving it back no matter how completely they failed. Stay far away from this company.

I went on Ava'sFlowers to purchase a bouquet for a friend who is hospitalized. I have been a customer of this company for nearly a decade. I upgraded the bouquet to the "large option." Outside of specific orders such as roses, I know florists can/will substitute the flowers represented online, However, what was delivered was not a substitution it was a misrepresentation!

Bottom line up front: This business is terrible, they’re a middleman rip off, they’re rude, and they lie about delivery status. I ordered a $120 bouquet of flowers for my mom, paying extra for delivery on Mother’s Day. The order wasn’t delivered, so the following day I called, and they promised it would be delivered that night. Once again, no delivery. I did this again the next night, and they said it would be delivered, but again it was not. Finally, I called and asked where the flowers were and they asked for the phone number of my mom. They called her, and accused her of not looking for the flowers and by the end of the call told her they were out for delivery but have not been delivered yet, lying about the first part.
My dad called them and they rudely told him to “check the fridge, and the roof” accusing him of being lazy and not checking the front door. The man’s name he spoke to was Rick, and he rushed him off the phone, essentially telling him they’ll get delivered when they get delivered. A quick call to American Express cleared this up, and thankfully, having had issues with them from other Amex customers, I’ll be getting a full refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM AVAS FLOWERS.

I have used Avas Flowers twice and both times they have charged for a product that they didn't have then they want urgent calls to ask what kind of substitution I would like, the only I have asked is that they don't use carnations and they used carnations. I placed an order for Mother's Day this past Thursday, and after a week I called to find out where the arrangement was, well after speaking with someone who assured me the arrangement I had ordered would be delivered I received yet another text message to call them which I did, and lo and behold they didn't have the arrangement I paid for and offer substitutions. I told them yes as long as they were not carnations.
I get yet another message to call them urgently so I did and the guy who answered once again gave the spiel about carnations, I was pretty frustrated at this point and requested a full refund which I did not received, they only refunded the amount of the flower arrangement and not the rush delivery fee which was $29.00. Avoid using Avas flowers at any cost. They are horrible, they are a ripoff, they will swindle you. I will report them to the BBB for being scammers.

I ordered flowers for Mothers' day with a requested delivery date of the day before. I understood there was a chance the delivery could happen the day after. On Mothers' day they texted me that they had canceled the order with no explanation of why. They claimed they sent a refund but never did, and I had to go through my bank to recoup the charges. I received an email requesting feedback, which I provided, and then they emailed me again thanking me for my order and providing an order confirmation number. I spoke to someone on the phone and they claimed the order was now canceled and a refund was sent, but days later, it has not showed up as pending in my account. Save yourself a headache and some money, DO NOT buy from Avas flowers. They'll take your money but you won't get your merchandise.

The customer service from this company is horrible and they don't do their best to do as they say with replacing an item with an upgrade at no additional charge when what your ordered becomes unavailable!! I ordered a beautiful bouquet in a vase for my Mom for Mother's Day. I received a call on Monday, the day after Mother's Day that the item I ordered was no longer available. Well, first of all, why was there such a delay in letting me know it wasn't available? When I placed the order, Monday, the 9th was the last day in the delivery range that I was given, so I expected her to receive it by the 9th but instead I get a call while I was at work with a patient. I listened to the voice-mail they left regarding my order and returned the call.
While waiting for someone to answer, there was a message stating that I could check my email for communication from them regarding my order. But I thought, "Well, it'd probably be easier to talk to someone." So I stayed on and the call was answered very quickly.. The customer service person I spoke with informed me the bouquet WITH A VASE that I ordered was no longer available and gave me some replacement options. Now she was telling me the names of the bouquets. They had names like Best Mom, or Mom's Special Day, or Best Friend, etc., but by those names, that doesn't tell me anything about what these arrangements look like.
So I asked her... "What are the colors and flowers in these arrangements?" She couldn't tell me. She said that information wasn't available. So she basically made me make a decision blindly without any idea of what I was choosing. I chose something called Best Mom. After I got off the phone with her I checked my email which stated the following....
"There has been a change in the availability of the exact item you have purchased. Please click the link below and enter your Secure Access Code: 5003 so you can select one of our beautiful alternative arrangements we have carefully curated as an upgraded replacement at no additional cost to you. We look forward to delivering your an extra special arrangement for you!"
So I clicked the link but there was an error and I couldn't connect to that site. That was probably because I already talked to someone so that access code didn't work anymore. But I searched on their website about what Best Mom looked like. I didn't care as much for it but the biggest problem was that this was JUST a bouquet, NO VASE, and the flowers would arrive IN A BOX. I specifically wanted a bouquet in a vase so my Mom wouldn't have to arrange them herself!! And I would NOT consider that an upgrade like the email said. I called back immediately to change what I was asked to blindly pick from to begin with to something that I would like after looking at the other items on the web page, and I was told that my order couldn't be changed. What? Why not? I just got off the phone and was asked to make a blind choice.
After seeing my choice, and realizing I didn't like it, and calling back immediately to change it to something that I like, I was told it was already processed and there was no way to change it. I was furious!! Then to top it all off, when my Mom received her flowers, they were in a box with NO WATER!! Usually each individual stem has those little tubes of water to keep the flowers nicer, but this did not. And the ends of the stems were all dried up and most of the petals from 2 of the flowers fell off when my Mom pulled them out of the box!! She had to arrange them herself in a vase which is NOT what I wanted for her!!
I'm gonna show a picture of what I ordered, and a picture of what she got as a replacement alternative as an upgrade mind you due to the inconvenience of my original arrangement no longer being available. What I ordered.... What she got... You tell me...does this look like a replacement upgrade? I will NEVER deal with this company again and urge you not to either!! Absolutely Horrible customer service!!!

I ordered Mother’s Day flowers from Avas. The confirmation email stated that my flowers would be delivered 5/6-5/8. The flowers were delivered two days AFTER Mother’s Day. The order was over $100. I would have rather given that sale to a small business that actually cared about their customers. If at all possible, avoid any purchase through Avas - they don’t deserve your money.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! On April 19, I ordered flowers to be delivered to Bellville, Texas for a funeral I could not attend. I googled "florists in Bellville" and their company pops up very misleadingly. I realized that no matter what town you type in their website, it pops up with the wording "Bellville (whatever town you type in) Flowers- Family Owned and Operated." This by itself is highly misleading. On the day of the funeral, I received a notice stating the flowers had been successfully delivered. I only found out they were not because a friend was in attendance and was able to confirm they were not there. Once I realized this, I called the company and a customer representative assured me her "lead florist" had hand-delivered them to the funeral director. I immediately filed a complaint with American Express, and they refunded my money.
Today, May 6, (16 days after the order was placed and after receiving a delivery confirmation), I received a notice from Avas Flowers that they would be refunding my money because "they were unable to fulfill the requested delivery". I am confident this would not have happened if I had not filed a complaint with American Express. If my friend had not been at the funeral, they could have easily claimed (as they did) that the flowers had in fact, been delivered. I can't imagine how many times they get away with this.

DO NOT BUY!!! This has been horrible. I don’t live in the same state as my mom so I tried to find local delivery. First of all, it said they are “local and family owned for 30 years” lies. They use other local people to make bouquets. When I tell you nothing was the same as I ordered: NOTHING was the same. I spent $90 and for what?! I could have made a bouquet look better for $15 at Publix!! Then I called and I got the generic repetitive “sorry for the inconvenience” talk from someone who didn’t seem to care. Then they offer to refund me… For $10… $10 even though I spent $90. That is not a refund. That’s pity change for someone who got scammed.
They should not be in business. I’ll attach a photo. I picked the as shown product. And instead I got something 1/4 the size, incorrect flowers, incorrect colors, wrong vase, wrong quality and size. Heck the water was probably not real water for all I know. Don’t buy from here. You’re better off doing what I had to do round two!!! Getting a Shipt driving to go to Publix and get a bouquet and hand deliver it. (Way cheaper too). Good luck. Hopefully you look at reviews before you buy like I unfortunately failed to do this round.

I ordered flowers to be sent to one of my employees for her birthday. 10 minutes after I placed the order online they called my cell to tell me they don't have a florist that can deliver to that address. They wanted my employee's home address, which I refused to give. How they could find someone to deliver to that address and not the business makes zero sense to me. I immediately asked for a refund. She said she couldn't do that and they would upgrade the bouquet. I said no. After going round and round for 15 minutes (with someone that spoke terrible English), they finally agreed to refund the money. We will see if that happens. Stay clear of this place and the hassle that you will get!

I bought a bouquet from Ava’s to be delivered on my aunt's birthday. I spent a lot of money on the bouquet, yet I still had to pay an additional $10.00 delivery fee and $24.00 “service fee”. Even after charging all that extra money and promising same-day delivery, they still failed to deliver the bouquet on the date that was promised. I’m sure you can get a much better value at another place, I recommend going somewhere else, unless you want a bad experience.

This service is awful. I paid $90 for flowers that were never delivered. The company claims to be "family owned". All calls and updates were through an international call center. I was never able to speak directly with a local or even national florist. I paid for rush order, same day delivery. The company tried to use stall tactics to convince me to agree to pay full price for flowers delivered 2 days LATE. When I said no and requested a refund, additional stall tactics were used. I stayed on calls over 3 hours total between 5 calls to get a refund. Clearly, had it not been a weekend, etc., I would have been forced to let it go, and wasted almost $100. The BBB has a running list of complaints against this company. Shame on Avas.

I thought I was getting a local florist, not the case. I ordered flowers for my aunt's 80th birthday, never delivered. I was not notified. I decided to call and follow up and discovered these haven't been sent with some ** excuse. Now 4 days after they were scheduled for delivery I am canceling the order. The customer service is Bogus and they just continued putting me on hold to tell me they are processing my refund. Still no refund. This place is a scam. Beware of this company. No matter what it says online they are not local. My mother order flowers for a bday as a surprise for me the Friday before my bday. My bday was Monday April 25th. The morning of my birthday around 1030 in the morning I get a call from my mom asking me if I got a delivery. I said no. She explained she ordered me something and it was showing it had been delivered. We hung up and she apparently called Avas Flowers to inquire as to where my flowers were 'cause it hadn't in fact been delivered. They put her on hold and proceed to call me and explain I was having flowers delivered and asked if I had received them. When I said no they said thank you and hung up. I called my mother to explain the call I had just received. She was still on hold with them. They told her they would look into the matter and update her. This was at 11 am.
My mother was extremely upset that not only had I not gotten the flowers but that they called and told me what was supposed to be coming. At 430 my mom called back to ask for an update. They explained they haven't reached the florist but would promptly call her back with updates. And of course their customer service closed at 5. She didn't receive an update at all the day the flowers were supposed to be delivered. Today the morning of the 26th I receive a call asking if I have gotten the flowers from avas. I explain I still have not. I explained they needed to just refund my mother her money 'cause after reading the reviews on their company this seems to happen another. I told them My birthday is over and they didn't have the courtesy to even call my mom back yesterday.
Avas flowers rep proceeds to tell me "well we were told they were delivered" again. I reassured her I received nothing. Avas flowers then abruptly ends the conversation with me. This was just my bday. But I could imagine using them to send arrangements to some one I'll and them being so laid back about the arrangements never arriving .. Each phone call I got was from a call center over seas. So their claim about a family owned business is a bit far fetched to me. Every review I have read are all similar to our experience. Save yourselves the heartache and possible grief they will cause you. Do not use them..

I ordered flowers to be sent for a funeral on 4/23/22 for delivery by noon 4/25/22. I received a text and email 1 hour 45 minutes before the service indicating the flowers need to be changed. What a fiasco! I spoke to 4 different people being on hold for over 30 minutes then being dropped. The big selling feature is “family business for 30 years”, local, etc. That is false. I wasn’t able to speak to anyone in the “store”, designer wasn’t allowed to talk with me! I should have known something was strange when I was asked if I want a pink bow for the basket for $5 plus $5 for a card! No basket of flowers but a vase with completely different flowers than what I paid for. I hope I can share the photos because they are complete opposites. I asked that a photo be sent to no avail. A family member took one to send me. I asked for the owner/CEO to contact me. The business practice is trying to compete with FTD and they are shady. Terrible experience.

I ordered flowers for my sister’s birthday and they were not the same as pictured. They look like an untrained and unprofessional person put them together from their apartment. I am not a florist but could do a better job. Also, there were only 3 roses when at least 6 were in the ad pictured. Lynn placed me on hold, then said she had called the delivery person and yes, they could delivery that day. Flowers were not delivered that day, delivered the next day. I ordered a very expensive arrangement with full understanding of the substitution policy that if certain flowers/colors were unavailable, equal or greater value flowers would be substituted. EVERYTHING in the arrangement that was delivered was a substitution, and the quality and quantity of flowers was vastly cheaper than what I paid for - I could have assembled it myself with a $15 purchase of flowers at the local grocery store.
Luckily, I was able to have the recipient send me a picture of the flowers and strongly advise anyone who gets sucked into ordering Avas make sure they get a picture of what was actually delivered. I was beyond embarrassed by what the person received. Thank goodness it wasn't an arrangement that went to a hospital or funeral home where other people would have seen it. I filed a complaint with the company - they offered a 50% refund, which is only 50% of the actual flower order, not the ridiculously high service fees. To get a full refund, they demand the recipient relinquish the arrangement, and the refund would only be for the flowers, not the fees. I will never again order through this company and strongly advise others to avoid it, too.

It is my birthday and my sister who is home fighting cancer took the time to send me some flowers. Needless to say, not only I was disappointed not for the flowers themselves or the arrangement but because my sister didn’t deserve to be cheated and basically stolen from. I will try to show you a picture of what she thought she was paying for and the picture of what I got. Mind you, the order and the picture says the price for picture shown but she paid for the next size up which is the large and added in her order a helium balloon that said happy birthday which I never got. Not only that she specifically asked that it would be filled with daisies (my favorite flower) instead of the other flowers, she paid extra for it and didn’t get that either.
She was also told that they would be no delivery charge and they wound up charging her for a delivery also. Shame on you Ava‘s flowers and all they have to say is they blame it on the florist, the florist blames them. Florist claims they received basic description for arrangement and they got a lousy $30 of the $90 that my sister paid and then they’re supposed to make their arrangements look like what they’re advertising I don’t think so. Never ever will I buy again from you and every chance I get I will inform anyone and everyone that you are not a trustworthy company.

My mom ordered some flowers for me for my birthday. She was under the impression that it came with a vase flowers and a balloon. She specifically told them to deliver them to me this morning bc I get off at 1. Mind you she paid almost 68.00 for these flowers. They didn't get to my work till 1:50 pm I was almost home and got a call they was there so I had to drive 30 miles back to work to get them. I ordered a mixed bouquet called “She’s Full of Style, Full of Grace” for $111.18 on 3/26/22. I paid an extra fee for delivery on 3/28/22 to my 92 year old mother on her birthday. They did not deliver on time, and what my Mother received was one dozen roses with no greenery and the quality of a WalMart quick sale on flowers. I complained, and they gave me a $33.00 credit. My balance should have been $33.00! They were not replacing my order with something similar, but something far inferior. I feel this is fraud. First of all, this is NOT AN ACTUAL FLOWER SHOP but rather a 3rd party company. They eagerly and readily take your order and your money. That's where it stops. No one can find your flowers or have any specific information on the details of the delivery. Customer service is a joke. They promise you will get updates on your delivery status but it doesn't happen. I have called 3 different customer reps and yet no one can find where my flowers are ($88.00 in flowers). They were supposed to be delivered yesterday and here we are today and now they are telling me my order number has changed. Unreal. Order directly from a local flower shop. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! After telling the 3rd rep that my next step was to contact the BBB on the matter, I was able to get a refund (still pending).

I had a terrible experience with Avas and would never use them again. On Tuesday I ordered flowers to be delivered on Wednesday. At 4.20pm on Wednesday I was contacted by Avas to say the flowers I selected were not available and a different bouquet would be delivered on Thursday. I placed 3 separate phone calls to Atlas when the flowers were not delivered on Thursday. At one stage they send me a confirmation that the flowers were delivered on Thursday evening. They also confirmed this on the phone.
I discovered on Friday afternoon the flowers still had not been delivered. Four more calls to Avas and a commitment to deliver on MONDAY. They insulted me by offering me a $20 credit. I told them to keep it. Flowers were finally delivered on Monday. They don't appear to have stores - they just call the local flower shop. I would never use them again - disgraceful service.

First, I must say I hold some responsibility for my friend not receiving flowers. I called Avas Flowers believing this was a "family-owned business". I called Avas and the call was handled by someone from home. This was not unusual in today's workplace due to Covid. I live in California and wanted a delivery to a specific hospital in Henderson, NV. Since this is a "family-owned business" I thought they would know the address and location of the local hospitals. This was not the case. I told the person on the line I wanted flowers delivered to the hospital and she provided an address, which I said okay.
Again, shouldn't they know the address? Shouldn't they know their local hospitals? The flowers were delivered to the wrong hospital and left at the front desk. I tried to resolve through customer service and was told it was my fault. They would not try another delivery to the correct hospital or give me a refund. DO NOT think you are dealing with a small family business.

Flowers to be delivered to Fountain Hills, AZ. Ordered Fri, was told might not be until sat delivery. I said fine. Specifically said they will need to call that morning prior to making up flowers to ensure recipient will be home (gated community, recipient travels a lot for work). Was assured it will be done. Spoke to recipient Sunday. No delivery or even a call. Called customer service. Pleasantly surprised to get live person - explained situation. NP. Will definitely be delivered Monday.
Monday late morning (11am), recipient not received phone call or flowers. I called again. spoke to live person. Explained again. She called local provider while I held on line. She assured me it will be fine. Now 7pm local time, recipient never got call. She will be out of town tomorrow. No calls, no flowers. Even though I was assured when I placed the order on Fri, when I spoke to customer service on Sunday, and then when I spoke to customer service on Monday that it will be delivered and all is well, it is not. Zero trust in them. What was meant as a timely thank you to my friend may never be delivered. I will ask for full refund. Will never use them again, any place..

I ordered a mixed bouquet of colorful variety flowers to be delivered to my terminally ill aunt. I was assured online that the delivery would be on time. The flowers were delivered 5 days late after my aunt passed away. The "bouquet" was not near what I ordered. I was told it was late due to the flowers coming from their fresh farm. A few red roses were delivered. No arrangement or greenery. I was embarrassed. It was very costly. The flowers looked nothing like what I ordered. I don't live near where the flowers were delivered via UPS! Afterwards I asked about this florist. Nobody in the area of delivery ever heard of it. I don't know if they operate from a physical store.

I ordered flowers 3/25 to be delivered 3/28. I received an email and text on 3/28 that my flowers were delivered. But they were not. I called Avas Flowers to inquire. They said the order was not delivered and I shouldn't have gotten a confirmation. They said they would try to deliver them the next day. I asked to speak to a manager. I was on hold 25 minutes while they tried to find a manager to speak to me. It never happened! They offered me $10 off my order. I told them to cancel it. They asked if I wanted to take their 1-minute survey. Do you really want me to do that? These flowers were for a friend who has a health issue with a husband who has been in the hospital 2.5 months. A timely floral bouquet would have been nice.

This company advertises as being local! They are not! Hours at 9-5 M-F. Ships through UPS not delivery person. Does not deliver on the day requested! Had to talk to a person countries away didn’t speak English well. Not a satisfied customer. Will never use again!

I gave two stars for prompt delivery. Although my friend was happy to receive flowers, it looks like a $20 bunch from the grocery store, with not nearly the luxury grade selection pictured on the website, and does not include the green vase I paid extra for. $120 lesson. I also did not see the $25 handling fee until after I paid. Very disappointed.

I ordered the Sweet Surprises Bouquet along with 2 latex balloons and 1 mylar balloon on March 12th to be delivered to my daughter-in-law and new granddaughter that afternoon in New Bern NC. I got a call late that afternoon that the arrangement could not be delivered that day but would be delivered on Saturday. I was ok with that since my daughter-in-law would not be going home from the hospital until Sunday. The flowers were delivered but I did not see a picture of them until later in the week. The arrangement that was delivered was not what was ordered. 2 pink roses, 2 pink carnations and 6 white daisies wrapped in brown floral paper with a ribbon tied around the paper is what was delivered. Certainly not $97.00 worth of flowers. Avas Flowers did not want to make it right... Policy, policy, policy...not the customer is always right. We have taken the issue to our credit card company... Sad. We will not be using Avas Flowers again.

Ordered a large sympathy standing wreath. Don’t order from this company at all cost, you will get disappointed by family telling you your order wasn’t at funeral home, they do not care to make it right even after a long 2 days tracking down flowers they say were delivered and family says weren’t delivered, entire family said wasn’t any flowers with our name on. They will insist they did delivery but I tell you the importance of flower card to identify who bought them isn’t important to this company and then when you complain they will after a lengthy unpleasant phone call they will throw you a couple dollars and think that makes it right even after asking for a supervisor. Cut out the middle man, call local florist directly or use 1800 flowers as I have done in past. No savings offered is worth not getting the order correct and to funeral home and properly identified with a card with the family it is on from.

Never use this place, they got me for $175 and sent my uncle the ugliest flowers they had, after telling me they had what I wanted and took my money, I get a call saying, "Sorry but we don't have either but we will send something very beautiful and discount you." Well that never happened, found out that they did the same to my sister the next day!!! Stay away from Avas.

First I received a text message my order was delivered. They were never actually delivered. I called and they said it was their fault, they would be delivered first thing in am. They were upgrading my order and refunding me 15 bucks. Not only were they not delivered till early evening, the balloon I ordered was not included. Called and asked to speak with supervisor to tell them I wanted a full refund. At this point between the first mess up and the second, I've held on the phone for almost an hour. Supervisor told me the best she could do was refund me another 10 bucks. Never never never would I order from here again. Also, flowers were not upgraded and yellow roses were wilted on the ends. Wish I had read these reviews first, clearly this company is know for this. Very unfortunate.

Ordered flowers through Avas Flowers a week in advance paid in full for my sister's Memorial. We were promised delivery the day of the Memorial at 10:30 a.m. We started calling to find out where our delivery was at 11: a.m. We were given the most lame excuse ever, they said they don't deliver to churches. They only deliver to residences or funeral homes. The memorial service was at a church. They said they could not deliver it. What kind of floral service does not deliver to churches? We were not told that when we ordered the flowers. We were horrified we had to have the memorial without flowers. Never waste your money on Avas flowers

They delivered a tragic looking thing that looked nothing like the orchid plant in the photo on their site. I ordered this for my mom's birthday and as things stand it would have been better to just send a card. Would have saved $140 and a lot of aggravation. Next time I'll source a local florist or supplier near as possible to the delivery address. Cut out the middleman.

Ordered a luxury bouquet for my soon to new mother in law's birthday and they sent her dead flowers. I spent 120$ and they offered a 50%refund of $42??!! How is that 50% back. Horrible service. Horrible product. Horrible customer service!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!

I ordered flowers for my gf and they were suppose to deliver before 2:00 pm. They missed the deadline and ruined the surprise as everyone was supposed to see her get them. The roses were wilted and the vase and extra chocolate I purchased were not delivered. The "service fee" essentially appears to be for a call center not in the US. It seems they contract with a 3rd party, they get the orders and supply the website and customer service. I couldn't speak to the floral store directly or email/text pictures. I am supposed to get $10.00 back on my order so we will see. Bottom line, if you want to worry about your flowers not getting delivered on time, international customer service, no local contact with owners and arrangements that don't resemble the pictures on the site, then this is the company for you.

We ordered roses and paid for same day delivery ($180). No flowers until after 4:30 the next day. Name on card was spelled wrong, no signature on card, and flowers were already in full bloom. The customer service is horrible!

I ordered flowers which were to arrive the following day. Ava's said that they would be delivered the next day and indeed, they said they were delivered but the recipients never did receive them even though they were home! I made numerous calls and emails and they promised to get back to me but never did. They have a website which supposedly helps you but really continues to delay any response. They continued to send nonsense emails which looked like "robo" emails that were in a strange loop when clicked on.
Finally, I got an "urgent" text from them saying to call them. I expect but I don't know that it was because my I contacted my credit card company and they were was helping me dispute the transaction. I did. Still in an inaccurate loop. I finally reached somebody and told them to cancel the order. They kept putting me on hold but finally agreed. I can see how people would give up but I wasn't willing to give up the $100 I spent. Don't give up!!

My husband's aunt just passed away, her services were yesterday. I had ordered flowers from Ava's to be delivered at graveside, flowers never arrived. I called as the services were concluding to claim the flowers, however no one seem to know where they were. Person on the phone showed no sympathy, when I requested the refund the credit card I happened to use had my husband's name, but we are both authorized users. She insisted however in speaking with my husband, even though I explained "it wasn't a good time". He was with his family. She didn't seem to care, still insisting to speak with him. I was very disappointed with their service as well as with their lack of concern. It was very embarrassing to not have flowers for his aunt. I will never do business with Ava's Flowers again.

I ordered (Order Confirmation #: **), a plant from Avas Florist and I am extremely dissatisfied with the product that was delivered to my good friend's home for her Birthday! The plant delivered is nothing in resemblance to the plant displayed in the advertisement, the plant delivered was actually dead. Also, I paid for three balloons and only two balloons were delivered. The balloons were drooped down on the counter without even the slightest hint of being inflated with helium, and with the appearance of being at someone's hot basement house party for a couple weeks.
Additionally, I DID NOT pay $94.76 to Avas Flowers for them to deliver a dead plant and used balloons to my loved ones home! Avas Flowers has definitely engaged in "False Advertisement and Failure to Deliver Sufficient Product As Promised." However, I'm requesting a full and complete refund of $94.76 from Avas Flowers, to be addressed and forwarded to the recipient's address that's on the original order! For the record, the rating is not fair but HORRIFIC! See (3) attached photographs!

My dad was dying in the hospital. I ordered flowers to be delivered as soon as possible. They said they could deliver them between 3:00 and 4:00 that day. Later got a notification they didn't have the right flowers. Then they said they could deliver the next day between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.

Well, my review is going to be similar to others in that I wish I could give a negative review, this place is awful, I can't believe they are in business. Here is the whole story, the saga starts with A Valentines delivery to my wife at her workplace. To set the stage, she works M- Th, not Friday. Fri Feb 11, place order for Feb 14th Delivery (duh, Valentines Day) ($105). Fri Feb 11, get notification that flowers have been delivered. Fri Feb 11, spoil Valentines surprise by letting wife know. Fri Feb 11, Wife contacts work (she normally gets notified of deliveries through text) and no one has seen flowers. Fri Feb 11, Call Avas. Avas phone system instructs me to use their website links for customers service to open a ticket for lost/incorrectly delivered flowers. Fri Feb 11, create ticket with customer service and receive email confirming that I have a ticket open. Fri Feb 11: Me: Thinks to himself delivery notification was in error and flowers really will be delivered 2/14.
Mon Feb 14: Wife goes to work, no flowers. No flowers delivered by end of day. Tues Feb 15: Opens another ticket with Avas online. Never hears a peep. Wed Feb 16: Call Avas to see what happened. Avas phone system recognizes my phone number and says my ticket has been resolved? Wait, what? Me: waits for the endless menu items to end to talk to a real person. Real person is nice but clearly incompetent. Says flowers can't be delivered Thursday so I request Tuesday (Wife doesn't work Friday/Monday is a holiday) and customer service says will be redelivered Tuesday 2/22 at my request. Gives me $15 credit back (wheeee).
Fri Feb 18: Receive notification that flowers have been delivered. What? Again? Me: Calls customer service, this time gets rude and incompetent customer service person. Ugh... He gives me $10 credit and promises flowers will be delivered on Tuesday. (Note he cannot get ahold of 'florist' to see if they can see if flowers were delivered.) Sat Feb 19: Me and Wife go pick up flowers which look like 4 year old created bouquet with flowers from dumpster that someone threw out last Monday.... Noted that flowers are from Safeway, yes the grocery store. They don't even come from a florist. Tues Feb 22: Vow to write bad review everywhere I can for this terrible place.

I ordered a flower bouquet among other things from Avas in Minneapolis, Minnesota earlier in the day. They waited until late in the evening to tell me the order would be placed the next day. This was a serious occasion and I felt like they knew it would not be delivered the same day. Very poor service and I will never use this company again in any city.

I wanted my family member to eat healthy since she's had several cancer surgeries. But when my daughter get her basket, it had a green apple, a red apple, a small package of cookies, small package of cranberries and a small package of nuts. No pineapple and no cheese. Oh and a white ribbon. I was so pissed. That's a 300% increase in the fruit. That's a joke. So sad, my heart was broken. Felt so sad for my family member and embarrassed that she got a basket like that. All for $80. I did call them back they refunded $15.00. That was the best they could do. You know the old days you could get awesome flowers/baskets that were beautiful people who deserved such a beautiful could actually enjoy it... I'm still upset, something needs to be about this. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my cousin on her late daughter’s birthday. This was the first year without her. It happened to be on a Sunday with a $25 fee. The website confirmed they could accommodate Sunday delivery. I received notification of delivery. I called my cousin to check on her and found out the flowers were never delivered! I called Monday morning, they apologized and issued a $15 credit for my troubles and assured me they would be delivered. Late Monday my cousin received a vase of 3 roses and 3 buds. It looked NOTHING like the cheerful arrangement I ordered. I sent a picture to my cousin of what it was supposed to look like. The flowers only lasted a few days.
My cousin called the shop that delivered….It was not Avas as I was told. It was a local shop which I was told Avas was. The owner of the shop went back to the order and confirmed what he was sent to her. The instructions were for a Monday delivery! Fortunately this florist made it right. But Avas had nothing to do with making it right. I will never ever use them again and I agree warn everyone else to steer clear. What was supposed to help my cousin through a difficult day turned into nothing but aggravation until the local shop owner did the right thing! Next time I will order from them!

Avas Flowers have a D+ rating on bbb.org, which I realized after I tried to cancel my order. I wanted to do something nice for my for Valentine's Day so on 2/1/2022, I ordered 12 red long stem roses, a red vase, a helium balloon and a card with a special greeting created from me to be delivered to her job on Valentine's Day. I waited all day on the 14th to hear the excitement from my wife regarding the surprise and when I did not hear anything from her when she was leaving from work at 3:50 P.M. which was 10 minutes before the time she was supposed to leave. I immediately got very upset. I attempted to call Avas Flowers and was immediately suggested that I utilize the online resolution due to high volume calls.
When I went online, I selected to cancel the order and was immediately informed that the order could not be canceled. My wife stated that when she got home, she received a call asking if she was at the location where the flowers were to be delivered, and she informed them she was headed home. The florist offered to send the flowers to the house, and my wife agreed. The surprise was no longer a surprise.
The rest of the night ended up being 3 additional calls to verify the address, and she ended up getting the gift at 9:30 P.M. I received an e-mail shortly after stating successful delivery at 6:00 P.M. which was a complete lie. It was not the 12 stem red roses I ordered. For $119, it ended up being an arrangement of different color knock-out roses that died in 2 days, and the card greeting that I composed was misaligned on the card. I apologized to my wife, and I learned from this experience to never allow a business to do something I could have prevented by doing it myself.

Don't not buy from here. They are a scam and not actually a florist! I ordered for Valentine's day, paid 131.82$ to be delivered on Feb 14th for item to never show up. Tried calling 5 times over 1.5 hrs waiting on hold to be hung up on every time. I received a text at 9 pm, Feb 14th stating they cancelled my order. I'm assuming cause no florist will work with them and they couldn't fill my order, they took my money and lied about my refund and currently have opened dispute with my credit card trying to get my money back. I finally got thru today February 16th to talk to someone and they said they already refunded which is a lie. Scam company, please listen to reviews.

I paid Avas Flowers $115 to deliver flowers to my wife at our home on Valentine's Day. The receipt guaranteed delivery by 14 Feb. After no flowers were delivered, I tried to cancel my order. No response was received from Avas customer service except "We opened a ticket." The flowers were delivered two days late. After an hour on the phone with their customer service, the best compensation I received was a $20 refund. No apology for failing to deliver as promised, ruining Valentine's Day, failing to cancel my order or provide a full refund. Never, ever, ever do business with this company!

PSA! Omg, I’m am pissed! Don’t ever use Ava’s flowers. Biggest scam and joke ever. I ordered Tosha flowers and a bear and balloons for V day. Their system showed delivered yesterday. I called yesterday and said we did not have them. The rep said, "No worries sir, we will deliver them tomorrow and make sure it’s bigger and better than before." (Keep in mind this is a call center overseas somewhere yet their hold music says they are a family-owned and operated company for 30 Years… **) Well today comes and no flowers. I call them back when I get home from work. They assure me they are on their way and they will be at my house within 20 minutes. 2 hours go by, no flowers.
I call them back and they put me on hold and call Tosha ** to confirm she got the flowers. Basically calling me a liar. I finally get a supervisor on the phone. I suggest if they don’t want me to blast them on social media they show up tomorrow with the biggest and most beautiful bunch of flowers you have ever seen. She then tells me, "I’m sorry sir, your order has been canceled and refunded so we can’t do that." Well…. **. Please tell everyone you know to avoid Avas flowers like the plague!

Valentine's Day, 2022: It's a shame that I have to give them 1 star as it's the lowest option but even giving them 1 star is way too much. If there were an option to provide negative numbers to depict the lowest of low - that would still be too good for this company. This company is BEYOND awful and should be permanently closed. Every state Attorney General should make it their sole purpose to close this operation because its continued allowance to operate is a menace to society. Not only are they thieves but they literally suck all joy out of special occasions. The high ratings on Google and other sites listed on their website are complete works of fiction and goes to show just how far they are willing to go to purposely and willfully mislead shoppers.
Flowers ordered well in advance for Valentine's Day delivery SHOULD be delivered as committed. However, lying to callers throughout the day as the 7 PM delivery commitment time approached about on time delivery and then don't deliver is unconscionable. The audacity for customer service to tell callers "we are too busy and won't be able to deliver today, how about tomorrow?" is outrageous! Fair warning to those out there. Do not waste your time to order flowers through them. Also, be aware that they are actively changing their business name by removing the apostrophe and going by (Avas Flowers) as well. Don't be fooled- it's the same scam of a company. You've been warned. Go elsewhere! Save your money! Don't risk having a special occasion ruined by soulless, evil people who purposely set out to steal people's money and ruin special moments.

I used Google Maps to find a florist within a half mile of my wife's office while she was visiting New Orleans on Valentine's Day. I placed an order with Avas only to get a cancelation notice at 6pm local time on Valentine's Day. Turns out this isn't a local florist at all. It's an internet scam based in Delaware. TOTALLY UNRELIABLE! ONE STAR IS ONE MORE THAN THEY DESERVE.

Avas not only never delivered the flowers, they cancelled my order 2 hours after the end of the delivery window. 9PM on Valentine's Day I received a message from Avas cancelling my order after I had reached out to them twice looking for my flower delivery. No call, no email, no delivery...so unprofessional. Horrible, horrible company. Never order from them, they will collect your money, make a promise and then not keep to their word. Horrible. They ought to be ashamed.

My experience with Avas has been horrible. I ordered 200$ worth of flowers and they were not delivered. I contacted customer service and was on hold for an hour. I finally talked to someone and was out on hold again for an hour. Then nobody came back and I was prompted to their survey. I filed a cancel order online and finally someone called me back and said they would give me 9$ back. I had to argue with the individual to get a refund which I’m still not sure I am getting at this point. DO NOT order with this company.

I had the worst experience of ordering flowers for valentine's day. Placed my order on 2/11/22 to be delivered on Sunday 2/13/22. When it was not delivered, I called and found out it is a flex delivery date meaning they send it within 3 days which was not obvious on their site until you have finished placing your order. By valentine's day at 6:30 pm, it was not still delivered and had placed multiple calls and they do not me they could not get hold hold of the designer. I asked for my refund and they told there is still time to be delivered until 7 pm. They made me wait until 7 and call back and be placed on hold for almost 40 minutes to give me a refund. Their call center is located out of the country and people who answer the phone have no authority to do anything so they put you on hold so they can get hold of someone in the USA!! I wished I had read the reviews before placing an order.

Terrible customer service. Order was supposed to be delivered on Valentine's Day. I even paid the additional service fee and was ensured it would be delivered on the 14th to my wife's office. Late in the day, I receive an email saying the order will be delayed till the 15th or 16th. Very disappointing, it was Valentines Day. Can never get a live person on the phone for customer service. This is a lousy company, terrible customer service and false advertising.

I ordered a flower arrangement for Valentine's Day 5 days previous to Valentine's Day, They were never delivered. No e-mail or notice the flowers wouldn't be delivered. When I attempted to contact the company at 7:30 pm I couldn't reach a person. When asked if I would like to hold for a representative I selected yes, I was then instructed there was a problem with the phone line and try back later. This has been a terrible experience and disappointment. I wish I had read the reviews, lesson learned. I am now out $107.00, No flowers, and no explanation. I will never use this company again and will let everyone know about my disgust in this experience!

Run from Avas flowers. I Ordered one dozen roses to be delivered to my wife at work for Valentine's Day. I was called from Avas flowers 20 minutes after my order and told was told they could not get roses. If they wanted to give me carnations instead for the same $106 I said that was not acceptable to cancel my order. I also went back to my order on their website and canceled it as well. I made arrangements for another flower shop to deliver my wife roses to work They were delivered on Valentine's Day bright and early.
At 1:30 PM the flowers that I had canceled from Avas flowers were delivered. I called customer service to find out what was going on and after spending one solid hour on the phone they offered to give me a $20 refund. Is refund for a $106 order that was supposed to have been canceled because they could not get roses. This is a complete rip off and scam from this company. I will never ever buy or recommend them to anyone.

Sent my mother Valentine's flowers. The picture on Avas site was beautiful. Roses, mixed flowers of fuchsia, purple, pink, etc. I have a photo of what was sent. Lots of greenery, 3 OPEN roses, 4 carnations! Wish I could post pictures. 80$! They make it VERY hard to get a person on phone! All were foreign. Promised to send another. This company should be inspected!!! I'm very angry.

For my daughter's birthday I called Avas Flowers. I asked the representative on the phone if they had "fruit on a stick" and that I did not want a fruit basket. I was told yes. I told the representative multiple times that I did not want a fruit bowl and was assured they had a product that was fruit on a stick in a basket with a bow. I also was told that it would be delivered the same day.
When I reviewed my order after paying and called customer service, it was confirmed that my daughter would instead be getting a bowl of fruit and it would not be delivered the same day. I asked if the caller worked in the flower shop in the small town I was calling and was told yes. This was not the case. This company will say yes to anything you want and you will find out later you've been lied to multiple times. It took about an hour to place the order and then to cancel it. Please do not be fooled by this company. Sleazy is the best way to describe my dealings with Avas Flowers.

I ordered the flowers in Hollywood FL because that is where my friend lives. Should of been Free delivery. Charged me 20.95. Also a service fee. I wanted them Delivered for Thursday. They just got them Sat night. Plus I ordered a floral arrangement. They got over bloomed Roses. I never complain but this is unacceptable. Never will order from them again. So embarrassed.

I really wish I had read reviews before ordering because SAME! I ordered a bouquet to be sent to my daughter’s work to cheer her up as she was having a bad day. I was informed the delivery was to be delayed till next day (which defeated the purpose for cheering her up) but was offered a free upgrade. At this point I’m not happy but fine, it’s whatever. But then the delivery wasn’t even the correct upgrade arrangement. I was offered a $10 credit which I accepted but after speaking to my daughter, I learned that not only was it the wrong arrangement but that the flowers were wilted. My advice would be to use a local flower shop with fresh flowers and save yourself the ridiculous service fee.

Ordered Flower for Wife's Birthday. Hoping to have them delivered to the school that my wife works at. Gentleman was nice that took call. Order was placed in early am with guarantee to deliver within 4 hours. Wife never received flowers. Guess they tried to deliver to the elementary school after most people had left for the day. Will not use Avas ever again. Should have done more research and found a local business myself... Would have been much cheaper and more likely to arrive on time.

To whom it my concern I have had the worst experience with Avas Flowers. The arrangement that was delivered to my house looks like someone ran to the grocery store and stuck some tulips in a glass. Completely unprofessional but at least they were delivered a day late. I attempted to call customer service and as proven by that experience customer service is not a priority. I will be posting this on Google reviews! And telling everyone I know to use 1-800-Flowers.com. They understand quality and customer service!

They didn't deliver the flowers we ordered and we received no notification that they weren't delivered. When you call you are immediately put into an automated phone system and it is very difficult to talk to a person (if it is possible at all). When you do talk to someone they misdirect you, offer discounts to redeliver, but the redeliveries never take place. You call back, go through the same process, and they up the ante, offering a higher discount, a personal phone call to the recipient with an apology that the delivery didn't occur when it should have, but again, the delivery doesn't happen. A refund is impossible. I don't think they actually have any flowers. I believe this is a scam to collect money and wear people down. Don't get caught in the trap. If you do, avoid the hassle and call your credit card company to reverse the charge.

This company says they are local and they are not, I didn't check the reviews before I ordered I should have and I would have never used them. My wife had to end up staying at work to wait for the flowers which ruined the surprise. I ordered the large size and if that was large I would hate to see medium or small.

This company took my order for flowers to deliver to a funeral home ($232). They never delivered the flowers. After I called them the day of the funeral they said that they'd deliver "the next day". I told them that the funeral is TODAY and there is no one to deliver to "the next day". Their only response was "SORRY". January, 2022.

I ordered the Everlasting Soothing Lavender Bouquet for my mother’s birthday on the morning of 1/21 to be delivered on 1\22. The bouquet with birthday card had a surprising service fee of $20.95 after you put in your credit card information. The bill came to $84.05. On /1/22, I received a call around 8:15 am as well as 2 emails. I called the number back as I do not answer calls that do not list so is calling. (The representative left an email with a phone number.) The representative stated they did not have purple roses, could they substitute red roses or purple asters. I asked if they could substitute white or yellow roses. The representative put me on hold for 2 to 5 minutes.
The representative had a foreign accent, was polite and respectful. She had to put me on hold twice. They could not substitute white or yellow roses. I chose purple aster even though I don’t know what they are due to the color scheme. I received another email and call stating the the bouquet was ready for delivery. I called my mom the day before and that day to make sure someone would be home for delivery. Someone also called my mother and asked if someone would be home for delivery. A little boy in a t-shirt with no coat or face mask delivered the flowers. I had my mother text me a photo of the bouquet. It looks nothing like the photo.
None of the flowers are the same nor is the color scheme. The vase is a different shape, color and texture. The arrangement is not layered in a professional way. It almost like a bouquet and half bought from a WalMart or similar retail store thrown into a vase bought at the Good Will. I went to www.AvasFlowers.net and followed the steps for “Issue with times that were delivered”. I followed the steps, and they have sent an email stating a representative would contact me. It is almost 8:00 pm and no one has contacted me. I am greatly disappointed in Ava’s Flowers. I have photos to prove the bouquets are nothing alike. I only chose this company because the bouquet was a perfect reflection of my mother’s colors. I feel scammed.

I had ordered sympathy flower arrangement for a relative. The sympathy spray costs $166 but it was not delivered on the day of the funeral and Avas Flowers refused to issue a refund as they insisted it was delivered. I was at the funeral service and did not see the flower arrangement. A second arrangement that costs about $200 was ordered on behalf of my sister for the funeral, but the arrangement consisted of dead leaves that were brown and dried up, and flowers that were half dead drooping.

I ordered my daughter a birthday bouquet! The arrangement is called a Birthday Bouquet! I have Covid and couldn’t see her for her birthday and she’s home with a sick child that just had surgery! The bouquet was to have 3 birthday balloons and a card and came with one Valentine’s Day balloon and no card! The flowers were half of what was shown and the daisies were limp and droopy! She sent me a pic and it was pitiful!!! I complained and sent pic and they would only refund me for the price of balloons for 10 dollars! Never will use this company again!!!

Good luck getting what you order! Further insult they advertise one arrangement with lower price than the one shown and don’t forget they’ll add a $20 dollar service fee for god knows what. Impossible to get anyone to speak too and they use shopper-approved interloper to keep customers away! Strongly advise you find another local vendor, Avas’s are not local - just one more deception! I blame myself for not checking and spending $80 for what would be a $7.99 arrangement from the local grocery store, PATHETIC.

I sent sympathy flowers using AVAS Flowers on 1/4 for delivery on 1/8. On 1/13 I followed up since I had not received a delivery confirmation. The rep, Darlene, was VERY unhelpful and unable to tell me what happened that the delivery was never made. She then was demanding insisting that she would now make the delivery. I told her no, that the flowers were initially scheduled to be sent to a funeral home and that the services were already over. I asked her to call me back so that I could find out where they could be delivered. Instead of calling me back, she just refunded the money.??? What a waste of my time, energy and after two days of dealing, nothing at all accomplished. I asked to speak to her manager and Junray said sorry... That's it! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

On 12/31/2021 wife and I ordered a bouquet of flowers for a funeral to be held on Tues 1/4/2022 and asked that it be delivered on 1/3/2022 to ensure placement for the funeral. Price was $110. Monday arrive with no delivery. We called Avas and they said bouquet not available and would replace with higher priced one and promised delivery on Tues 1/4/2022. Tuesday came and item not received. Called Avas and they promised on Wed but the funeral was over and they would not refund our money. They promised and swore delivery again for Wed 1/5/2022 with no alternative. We felt we had no choice and reluctantly accepted. Wed 1/5/2022 came with no delivery. We called a local forist who agreed to send flowers for a price again of $110 to the family of the deceased and delivered flowers that same day. Total cost to us was now at $220.
We called Avas again and spoke to a manager and were very irate. The manager agreed to refund our money, which they finally did. Summary: Very poor communications, unwilingness to act quickly to resolve, and made false promises for 3 days causing no end of grief for us as a result. We will never ever deal with AvasFlowers again and, because of them, we will never ever deal with teleflorists again as well. Would have given an even lower rating but could only opt for level 1 (lowest grade allowed). DO NOT DEAL WITH AVASFLOWERS COMPANY!

Save yourself some grief. Order your flowers elsewhere. Avas Flowers' website promises you the sun, the moon, and the stars. Don't be fooled. Avas Flowers is not reliable. First thing in the morning yesterday, I ordered a "luxury grade" bouquet on Avas Flowers' online ordering site, for a birthday gift. I added in a "rush delivery" fee, to have the flowers delivered before 2 pm on the date. NO FLOWERS. They never showed up - not by 2pm, 5pm, or even by their latest listed delivery time of 7pm. "Customer Service"? Well, the Avas Flowers' website hides a phone number for "Customer Service" deep inside its FAQ's and it actually lists the WRONG phone number there! Try phoning "855-543-6712" instead, to reach Avas Flowers "Customer Service". It took me a long time and a lot of effort but I finally got through to a live "new order taker" who reluctantly gave me this better phone number for Customer Service.
The bad thing is that calling this number, "855-543-6712", will lead you to a terrible phone tree, again. I was left hanging on this line forever, the call was dropped more than twice, and I had to redial several times to even get through to the right place on the phone tree again. The person I finally got to speak with said that "the local designer wasn't able to fill the order yesterday." No reason! She couldn't promise that the "local designer" could fill my order today instead, either! What?!! I finally said, "cancel the order".
I insisted on hanging onto the line, on hold, until she sent me an email from Avas Flowers confirming that a refund on my credit card had been issued. But - even though the email says a refund has been issued on my order, it isn't a full refund. The email shows that Avas Flowers has shorted the refund by $10. And, I have to wait "5-7 business days" to see whether or not the refund on my credit card will actually even show up at my bank. I should have done more research before trusting this "florist". GRRR! I'm NOT HAPPY with Avas Flowers, not happy at all.

I ordered flowers for my daughter's birthday from the Avas website, ordered in time for next day delivery on her birthday 12/29, later was notified they didn't have the flowers as shown and would have to substitute for the pink roses in the arrangement with something similar. Said they would call her and let her know it would be delivered the next day. Disappointed, but so far so good. I had ordered the bouquet shown below (pinks and purples) ($54.99). Received a delivery notice from UPS (wondered why UPS when they advertised as Avas Flowers Patterson, CA.)
Daughter said they were received and I asked her to send me a photo. It was nothing like what I had ordered, not even close as shown in the photo below. Mostly yellow mums or asters, a vase and bouquet I could have bought at a local food store for approximately $30-$35. With taxes, and a "service charge" that I was shocked at the amount, I paid $85.15 for the flowers shown below. I don’t recommend this company and sure would be shocked to get a refund. I placed an online flower order on 1/3/22. On 1/4/22, I received an email informing me that the flowers I ordered were unavailable and that a substitution would be sent. Also on 1/4/22, I received a voicemail from Customer Service, asking me to call them to discuss the order. I called and was on hold for 17:23. During my on-hold time, the CSR never spoke, so I asked several times if she was still on the line. She responded that she was still researching my order. After 17:23, I was was prompted to complete their customer service survey. HORRIBLE customer service and I still have no idea if my order will be sent. They had no problem accepting my $79.48 payment. Will never use this company again.

I ordered a floral arrangement from what I thought was a florist in New Brunswick, MD, for a local delivery on 12/22. They added a $25 charge for same day special delivery. I contacted them on 12/23 to check on delivery. I received a text and a phone message with apologies which said that the delivery would be later that day, or at the latest 12/24. When I called to check on the order today (12/24), a recording said it was scheduled for the Monday after Christmas (12/27). I called customer service to complain, and the best they could offer was a $20 discount on my order. This was very deceptive advertising by an international web-based company masquerading as a local florist. Beware!

I ordered flowers to be delivered on 12/21 for Christmas. Was told they were delivered. They were not delivered. I called to inquire due to not being received. They then told me they weren’t delivered. They would credit me back 20.00 and re deliver them. I asked when. They said December 29th. I stated that’s after Christmas. I was told I should understand. I cancelled my order and now do not have a gift for my friend. Such poor customer service. Will never order again.

Wow... I had no idea your shop was so poorly rated... I had good experiences with other orders years back... something "ain't right over there". I placed an order for a centerpiece to be delivered today... However, I got an email that my order could not be completed, and that I could choose from several inferior options at no extra charged. I cancelled my order. I do not understand why you have something available on your website that you 1) now suddenly can't provide, and 2) couldn't tell me before now that it's not available.
You offered to replace my order at no extra charge. Well of course not when the lame substitutes you offer aren't worth my original choice. I do not understand any of this... I have ordered from you before with no problem. I ordered this same item from an online source over a week ago - they also waited until delivery day to tell me it suddenly wasn't available. So what I ordered from you was a replacement. I thought that since the item I ordered was actually offered on your website, you are local to the recipient, and it was a semi-decent price (although your service charge is outrageous by the way), that I could trust you to get the order fulfilled. But you wait until the end of the delivery date to tell me you can't do the order? This last-minute stuff just doesn't cut it. Losing a single client is probably no big deal to you, but in a small town like Red Bluff... this kind of poor customer support will eventually add up.

Ordered a Christmas centerpiece for $44.95 for my son & family on 12/8 for delivery 12/18. On 12/17 at 4:30 pm I got an email saying the centerpiece was no longer available and I could substitute A - a dozen multi-colored roses in a box for $74.99 or B - an orchid in a pot for $74.99. WTF? Called the customer service number. Call center with a CS rep who barely spoke English. Went round and round for 1/2 hour and finally got them to refund my purchase.

OK here's what you need to know. This is not a florist - they pretend to be they are an outside agency that takes your order. Makes you spend 20 minutes selling you all kinds of extras and then three hours later you get a phone call from some delivery guy that the florist cannot deliver for three days. You tried contacting the customer service. It takes 40 minutes to get through. You are better off finding a local florist so when you call and ask if they had the flowers for delivery they give you an honest answer. This company is crooked and a scam. They pretend to be local flowers but they're not. The fraud is their banner on their website says same-day delivery. All ** stay away.

My wife and I ordered flowers for our daughter who was expecting. We reviewed the bouquets on the Avas website and chose the Floral Harmony Bouquet and selected the AS SHOWN size. ($54.99). At 4:05 pm the next day, we received a text saying the flowers had been delivered. We waited for our daughter to contact us. When she didn’t, we contacted her and she said nothing had arrived. Finally, at 7:06 pm, they were delivered. We asked our daughter for a photo of the bouquet and saw that it was about one-third the size of what was pictured - not even close to the AS SHOWN photo. With taxes and delivery charges, we paid nearly $100 for a Bouquet that would cost $25-$35 at a local food store. I’m contacting their customer service later today. I don’t recommend this company and am interested to find out how this is resolved.

We ordered flowers for my daughter's birthday to be delivered between 9am and noon, as my daughter gets off work at 3. We are in another state so we called another florist first. They said they could not guarantee the time, so we next called Avas and they said they would be delivered before noon. Avas is less than a mile from my daughter's workplace. Between 12:30 and 2:30 we called to check on delivery twice. We were told yes there is a notation to be delivered by noon but they now said they can only promise before 7pm.
We spent an hour on the phone trying to get someone to explain why they would tell us one thing knowing they would not do it. All we got was a “Sorry for the inconvenience". They did not offer to reimburse us until we demanded it. After reading other reviews I’m not sure we will see that either. We had to call our daughter and tell her we did not forget her birthday. I should have checked reviews before calling them, my bad as there a numerous reviews like ours for them.

I put this comment on their Facebook Messenger and a representative immediately reached out. She was glad I contacted her and assured me that they would look into the problem I had. She also offered to send some flowers no charge (but it’s not why I complained so I declined). This rep was sincere and did appreciate I brought it to her/his attention. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They imply they are a local florist but they are not! Below is my story: My brother in law passed away and his viewing is Sunday (and that’s when I wanted it delivered). I placed an order for flowers on Friday. This morning I get a call telling me nobody is at the church where the viewing is going to be held. I said I knew that that’s why I wanted it delivered on the day of the viewing. Hours later I got another phone call telling me they’re having a problem.
On the phone they said the designer cannot deliver it to a church (what???) and wanted an alternative address (which is ridiculous!)! I do not want a bouquet of flowers delivered to someone in bereavement only to carry it themselves to the viewing. I was a VP for Macy’s Dept store so I wanted a resolution. When I asked for a corporate contact I was told by the CS rep, that she couldn’t give it to me. I received an email when I canceled it saying that the product was out of stock so now I guess they even lied to me! They made a very difficult time more difficult!!!

It was an easy process to pick out the flowers and it was nice to have the delivery fee waived by using the code. The only thing that I don't understand it's why are there additional fees? Is this their way of covering the delivery fee? There's an additional $30 in fees that they added! Plus, the flowers showed up the next day.

I have tried 3 times to order flowers or plants off their website to be delivered and every time I get a notification that the arrangement or plant is not available and they want to substitute. Every time I called to get it worked out, I get another country and they put you on hold for 15 to 20 min, while they "look into your account". Of course they are hoping you give up and hang up. Once you say you want to cancel the order,.. you guessed it, another 20 min on hold. I give them a 1 rating only because it wouldn't let me give them a zero. Do not order from this company, if it is a company!
