    I recently had a very disturbing experience with AVAS Flowers today. I had a good friend of mine that had lost his son. I had turned to Avas flowers to help me with a little sympathy card and a bouquet of flowers to be sent to the local funeral home within 1/4 mile of the Avas flower shop. 30 minutes before the wake was to start, I received a text from Avas flowers from a different lady which I had placed my order with, and she went on to tell me that their delivery person left for the day, and that they would not be able to deliver the flowers... I could not believe it. I am also a business owner, and if I make a commitment I am responsible to keep it, and I believe if somebody is still there to take more orders, that same person can go 1/4 a mile down the road and deliver the flowers.

    At the time I had no other option myself, yes they did give me a full refund, but that was not what I was wanting from Avas Flowers. The lady was being snotty rude, meaning she was happily telling me, "Sorry you're **". Excuse my language, but that is how she was gracefully refunding my money... Any other event I would have not been so upset but because it was a wake for a 21 year old man I felt it very unprofessional on behalf of Avas flowers. Sincerely, Bill

    Avas was listed as a local florist near the cemetery where I buried my mother. It isn't. It is actually 1800-flowers and if you need it delivered they send the order to Conroy's. Every time I've had flowers from Conroy's they've been terrible and this was no exception. The flowers look like they taken off a grave last week and delivered to us as new. They were wilted, there were big bare spots and was nothing like the picture. When I talked to the girl on the phone she said that Avas isn't a real place, it's just an order collecting website for 1800flowers. Buyer beware.

    Avas Flowers is one of the worst companies I have ever had dealings with. I recommend people steer away from, let me explain. I ordered flowers for my wife who was seriously ill after a stroke. I put in an order for flowers on Friday Oct 22nd. Nothing arrived. I waited until the next day, when after other items I could check my voice mail on my home phone. As people know we get numerous hoax calls a day and a strange number without showing any signs of who from just does not get answered. There was a couple of messages being an issue with my order. Finally on Sunday I was able to follow up and found it was due to some of the flowers not being available. I agreed to have flowers substituted and expected a delivery that Sunday…. No. .. nothing. I also found some emails in my junk mail area, the fact it mentions checking for them in your junk emails makes me wonder if this common.

    Monday, I called to follow up 5 times, was told several times was told was planned for delivery... NOTHING. Tuesday still no flowers. Called and demanded to speak to a manager or supervisor, was eventually passed to a delivery manager. They were unable to get to the florist whom the order was with, gave me a small credit and reordered from another florist and would be sure it was delivered today. Later got an email saying the delivery could not be made. SO much for Avas promises.

    After another 6 phone calls, yes 6 the issue is the Avas IVR (voice system) has a bug. You contact them and are asked for order number if like me you are out and do not have the number it askes for phone number to do with the order. O put in the phone number it states the order in question, then states, "Sorry we need the order number," and drops the call 6 times!!!! Eventually I was able to speak to a person and demand a refund. This is now Tuesday and I ordered on the previous Friday. I have been promised delivery 6 times, made nearly 20 phone calls and NUMEROUS online messages! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN... AND ADVISE OTHERS TO AVOID THEM.

    I am beyond disgusted with Avas Flowers. You will not be notified of the delivery, they will not give you the local florist information and last they give you a complete runaround. PLEASE if you are going to send flowers to call a local florist and have them prepare your order. Keep the money with the local shops and not overseas.

    I ordered a bouquet to be same day delivery for a friend’s birthday on a Thursday…. Paid over $77.00 for a $49.00 arrangement. The flowers were not delivered on her birthday and the next morning I called and complained and was told they’d be delivered by noon that day, which was Friday. Well, they were not delivered by noon, in fact, I was told afterward that delivery was attempted after her place of business was closed in the early evening! To top it off, they gave me trouble about giving me back a full refund! Frankly, one star is one star too many. I suggest you use a different florist!

    EXTREMELY dissatisfied!!! I would give ZERO stars if it were an option. I called from Virginia to place an order a few days ago for a large potted Azalea bush to be delivered to a house in Trinity, Alabama for a birthday. I placed the order with a man whose name started with a G. I asked him THREE times if he could confirm that the Azalea bush would be blooming, since it may be the wrong season to bloom. He assured me each time that it would be "just like in the picture on the website". I said we didn't care what color the blooms were, but we REALLY wanted the order to be FLOWERING when it arrived. I asked if he could check, and call me back so I could change the order if they had no blooming Azalea bushes. He repeated that it would be blooming, took my payment and never called me back.

    The order came to almost $90 and didn't include any discount because it was placed over the phone. The day it arrived to the recipient, it was NOTHING like the order. In fact, it was assorted green plants, instead of an Azalea bush, with NOT A SINGLE BLOOM ANYWHERE. We specifically ordered an Azalea bush so she could plant it in her yard, and enjoy blooms for years to come. NONE of that is possible with the order as it was sent. The card message was also totally botched. We asked for it to say "To my mom who is not told often enough that I appreciate you." Instead the card says "To my mom who's not old enough. I appreciate you." I called the day after I found out that the order was completely botched. This time I spoke with a woman who wouldn't give me the name of the man I ordered from, and never even asked if I was happy with the order despite my confirming the name and phone number of the placed order.

    WE WILL NOT ORDER HERE AGAIN. I left a review on their webpage, but apparently they only show the positive reviews. I dug deeper where to leave a review and discovered that the company isn't even based in the US. The orders are placed overseas and filled in the US somewhere near where you ordered them. This is why there are SO MANY mistakes and NO accountability.

    I ordered "upgraded flowers" and that is not what I got for sure, what I got was some half dead horrible looking weeds. I had to call and remind them of my delivery day that I specified I needed because it was a very special 80th birthday. When the flowers got there I was mortified and ashamed for the arrangement I spent $109.00 on. I contacted them to only get a response of we will give you $20.00 back.. Really I want a full refund and you can even come pick up your crappy flowers. No response... I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE NOBODY ELSE GETS SCAMMED TOO.... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

    This is the first time I ever ordered flowers. I set this up to be sent to my grandpa that is currently in the hospital. This was a HUGE disappointment! They looked Nothing like the picture. And when I called to complain they offered me 50% of the flowers but I would still be out 50 dollars! They offered to pick them up and then I would get a refund but my grandma took them home to be put in water. This is not a good company to order from. They deliver flowers you would pick from a dingy field!

    I placed an order online for an arrangement to be delivered the next day by 2PM for a funeral service. I paid the $21 service fee of which Avas said they charge to "ensure proper handling of my floral arrangement" and yet 1 HOUR before the service I was contacted by an Avas representative stating they could not get the arrangement to the service in time and that they would like to deliver the arrangement to the family home. What kind of business model allows for a company that has deliveries to not check the delivery schedule the very first thing in the morning so that they could contact their customers if there was an issue? 1 HOUR prior to the service...what did they think? Needless to say I requested a full refund and will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

    I ordered flowers for $59.99 with expedited delivery of $9.99 which was supposed to be delivered before 2pm. It was delivered at 5:30pm. We ended up late for the birthday party which started at 5 pm because of the late flowers. Called Avas and they couldn't even reach the local florist. Christina from customer service deducted the $9.99 expedited charge. Also, this company should put in bold numbers that they are adding $20 service fee. It's ridiculous. And lastly, the flowers were not even that fresh. There will be no next time with this company. That's for sure.

    The product delivered is absolutely nothing comparable to what is advertised in their website. Do not tell me pineapple and kiwi are not in season in the town it was delivered to. The basket didn’t have any paper stuffing/filler at the bottom. The fruit and cheese were slopped in haphazardly. The fruit that was in the basket still had the barcode stickers on them, and one of the fruits still had the protective foam sleeve on it. IN. THE. BASKET. For $118 delivered, please make an honest effort.

    I should’ve realized by the impersonal website that it was a middle man business. Advertise on the web, contract the service to a local “business” who then attempts to fulfill the other. My complaint was answered by an Indian phone representative…. who has no idea what was described on the website or what was actually delivered. The representative is just reading from a scripted dialogue. I just ended up speaking in spirals to only get a $10 reimbursement. Do not waste your time, effort and money on this deceiving sham of a company.

    Ordered flowers for my stepdaughter's birthday and was called to say they couldn’t deliver it to her school because it was past 2pm. I ordered prior to her birthday. Then they wanted to call her and get another address to deliver the next day. Then the specialist says, "Sorry we will add to your bouquet and give you a discount because of the inconvenience." Two days later a different bouquet arrived. Not what I ordered but what the specialist promised to add to the original bouquet. I called and they said, "Oh we will make it right," but then said, "We delivered flowers and gave you a discount (which I haven’t received yet) and you were told the original bouquet wasn’t available"… Um no I was not told that!!

    I was told them I was upset because it took two days beyond her birthday to deliver the flowers, it wasn’t what was promised, I hadn’t received any discount yet, I wasn’t told that the original bouquet was not available and that this was supposed to be a local florist and it took them two days after the original delivery date to get the flowers to her! I was told, "Sorry mam we delivered flowers and gave you a discount. Sorry for your dissatisfaction"… Wow! Not impressed with this service at all! If you choose to order from them…the bouquets on their site are NOT what you get or what is advertised at all! Super disappointed!

    The first time I ordered flowers they called back later that day about an hour before actual delivery time and told me that the flowers were not available. They wanted to give me a discount and I could order roses that were one of three that were shown or sunflowers which she is neither one of those people that I was getting the flowers for. I wanted my money back because they couldn't deliver that particular arrangement and they couldn't deliver any flowers until the next day which I said no the second time they couldn't deliver it to the address and that's where I wanted it delivered. So my experience never again. I should have learned the first time

    I ordered flowers for my 92 year old mother flowers the day before her birthday. I was contacted the day after because there was a problem with the address. The address was verified, and I have my sister's phone number because she lives close by. I was supposed to get a "delivered notice" and didn't. I tried to get information from their website, but got nowhere. I tried calling and waited far too long and hung up. This was especially hard as my mother is being put into hospice and this is probably the last flowers I'll ever send her. I will not use Avas Flowers again.

    I ordered a flower arrangement in a balloon for a sick co-worker on September 24th 2021. I requested they be sent the same day. I was guaranteed if they would be. I later get it email telling me that they didn't have that Arrangement but they would guarantee I would have it on Monday September 27th 2021. It is 719 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and still no flowers have been received by my co-worker. I sent emails and I called.

    They call me back to tell me it wouldn't be delivered till tomorrow and I asked why. They sent me at another department and the young man said it was over his head and I had to talk to another department. I had asked them to just refund my card and I can order from somebody else. They wouldn't do that. They sent me to another department. He said he couldn't help me. He had to transfer me and he transferred me to a landline that hung up on me. Buyer beware. This is the worst company in the nation. Never ever ever get anything from Avas Flowers again!

    You send flowers for an occasion. Avas Flowers decides they will deliver the flowers whenever they feel like it. I purposefully ordered birthday flowers for the occasion and they arrived a day late. Now I look like I forgot when I placed the order over a week ahead of time. No call, no email. When I called them I got a robotic answer that then hung up on me. No way to even call to complain. There are plenty of reputable florists out there. Stay away from Avas Flowers. Never again.

    I ordered flowers for a funeral that was on Saturday, I ordered the flowers on Tuesday. On Wednesday I got an email saying that the order had been canceled and I have been refunded. I called on Thursday and spoke to someone who said that the specific flower shop could not fulfill the order but she had found another one in the area who was able to deliver them on Saturday. I asked again to clarify that my flower order would be delivered to the funeral Saturday morning, the representative said yes it would be.

    Then Saturday afternoon I got an email that my refund had been posted. So I called customer service again and spoke to somebody different who said, "No. Sorry it did not get sent. We couldn’t find anybody else to fulfill the order." They totally lied to me. I even asked the representative on Thursday if they were going to be able to complete the order or if I need to look for a different flower shop and she assured me that they would get my flowers there. Very poor customer service.

    I ordered a $175 dozens of roses with a vase for a surprise on my wife anniversary to her job. The roses came mailed in a box from UPS. Roses was dry and old. Vase was a size of a cup. I tried to put the roses in the vase and it tips over. I was so embarrassed. I looked cheap. I don’t recommend anyone to purchase from this company. First and last time. Not worth the money. I rather go to Walgreens and purchase roses if you want quality.

    I ordered flowers on 9/11 to be delivered on 9/22. The bouquet was going to a couple who had lost a baby and 9/22 was the due date. The reason I picked the bouquet I did was for the specific colors. Blue was very important since the baby was a boy. The bouquet ended up costing us $88. It was a $49 bouquet. They received the bouquet and it looks nothing like the photo. No blue flowers. I am giving a generous 3 stars since they did deliver on the right date. But in 11 days they couldn't get the right flowers together? Will not be using them again.

    Ordered flowers for a family funeral 9/9/21 and set up delivery for 9/12/21. On the Morning of the funeral (9/12/21) I received a text message saying the order had to be canceled because of unforeseen circumstances and I was receiving a refund. Waiting until so close to the delivery time left me with no alternative and I was not able to have an arrangement at the funeral. Avas gave no indication that delivery could be an issue at the time of purchase or in the days following. I don’t see how waiting that long to tell a customer their order is going to be canceled is considered good business. Calling their support line is useless. They offer no explanation but they do say that it is something that will never happen again. That does nothing to address the terrible position they put me and my family in.

    This company offers same day service but does not deliver same day. I attempted to cancel and they refer you to their legally binding contract. Do Not Use Avas! These flowers were for Sympathy and to be delivered to the family of the bereaved, no notice, no delivery!

    Placed an order with Avas Flowers in Abingdon Maryland. They did not deliver the flowers to the funeral home as instructed and confirmed. When they contacted me to inform me that they would not be able to make the delivery they offered me very little comfort in apologizing and making it right how can you make a funeral mistake and not have sympathy to own up to your mistake.

    Several hours dealing with customer service and being passed around to several other departments which seem to be the same person with a different voice was even more frustrating, hours of time wasted and frustrating emotional is to say the least, they were extremely overpriced. Never was the price in line with what they offered, add-ons were outrageous. Unfortunately I live 500 miles away and the funeral was that day that they failed to deliver. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Realizing that there is a virus and a staffing issue at hand, it would have only taken one kind word and to do the right thing and make it right but even that wasn't applied.

    After ordering flowers for delivery Avas Flowers added a completely bogus $24.94 SERVICE FEE to the total charge, but they don't tell you about this extra service fee anywhere on the website or at the time of ordering. You only find out about it AFTER your credit card has been charged. This is in addition to the cost of the flowers, taxes and a $9.99 delivery charge. This has got to be a complete scam and is disgusting!

    1. This is NOT a local florist. 2. I spent $100 on a floral arrangement in a vase, requesting quality flowers with NO carnations and NO pink colors. 3. They sent a pathetic arrangement which listed for approx. $40 on their own website. It was not at all what I requested and was 6 yellow roses, large CARNATIONS, and PINK alstroemeria. When I saw the bill, they charged me $4.99 for a card, $4.99 for a bow, 9.99 for delivery, and $20.95 for a "service fee", bringing the cost of my "arrangement" to $59.99 and just under $40.00 for misc. fees! I worked as a florist for many, many years and the tiny little cards that are sent with orders cost virtually nothing. I did not ask for a bow, nor was there a bow on the arrangement, so why charge $5.00 for that?

    This company is a total scam. They kept trying to push me towards a certain arrangement, and I kept clearly explaining what I wanted. Then they sent whatever they wanted to send, not what I'd asked for! I was completely embarrassed when the recipient sent me a picture of what was sent. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE! THEY ARE TOTAL SCAMMERS!

    I ordered a “Colorful Sympathy Standing Basket” for a funeral in Lynchburg TN. I paid $142.25. The picture was beautiful and I was assured that the delivered product would be the same as the photo. It was not even close to what I ordered. The arrangement was in a small cheap white plastic basket. The few flowers were anything but colorful. I was truly embarrassed when I saw it. I could have found something nicer at a dollar store. I would NOT recommend using this company. The customer service rep offered a $10 credit! I doubt the entire arrangement was worth that!

    3 flowers in a terrible type of basket received instead of "Assorted Plants in a Basket - DELUXE " The most embarrassing is that I paid $104 for a welcome new baby flowers DELUXE. The 3 pieces of flowers received -- the type that would go for a funeral. Such an embarrassment. I could not apologize enough to my friends for what was done by this company. I can not stop crying. I will try to dispute this charge with my credit card. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. And they "substitute" the rest of the flowers with a regular balloons. Rip off.

    I placed an order for a beautiful Feminine Charms bouquet with the chocolates, which was $132.05 with free delivery for my sister's birthday on 27th August 2021. The flowers were delivered on 28th without chocolates. I was absolutely shocked when I saw what my recipient received: the flowers were not arranged at all, and looked like some poor and death flowers that the people threw away, put together and delivered as is without the box of chocolate. The number of my order is #**. I feel absolutely embarrassed I sent these flowers on my sister's birthday. Please refund or explain!

    I ordered flowers for a friend's mother’s funeral. Ordered the flowers on August 5, 2021 for a Rosary on August 8 2021 and funeral on August 9, 2021. After ordering a gentleman called and said that the basket I had selected was no longer available. So I said to make and send something that was comparable. Today August 17, 2021 was notified by Avas that NO BASKET WAS DELIVERED. REALLY could not deliver when its order was placed 3 days before. Will see if refund is credited to my card. They really deserve less than 1 star.

Would be delivered by 2:00pm since I paid rush fee and they agreed to the specific details for flower types I noted. I stated no roses since she doesn't like roses. About 1:15 I received an email stating my order couldn't be delivered by 2:00 and would be delivered next day. What? I paid a rush fee and he guaranteed me it would be delivered by 2:00!!!! After reading reviews I see others say this happened to them as well. When she did receive arrangement the next day it included a few snap dragons and ROSES ONLY when I specifically stated NO ROSES!!! Most stems were starting to wilt and some petals dying!

    I upgraded to medium vase and it was super small, arrangement looked like a child put it together, large gaps w/ no flowers at all. It was horrible!!! And they wanted to refund me $10. These people should be ashamed of their quality and service and stop ripping people off. I will NEVER order from them again and will continue to inform everyone on every social media platform of their horrific quality and service!!!

    I detailed the type flowers that I wanted sent to my sister-in-law, the arrangement looked terrible, the vase was not what they said would be used, the ribbon was pitiful. I called the store twice, the first time I WAS assured by Amy that they were going to replace the flowers, but did not, I called again, talked to Analyn, she apologized and assured me that they were going to send the arrangement that I requested THAT DAY. Again, no replacement. I am out the $115.00, and I feel that I have been lied to over twice.

    I told the man when I ordered them that I didn't want anything sent that I would be ashamed of and did not want any arrangement off the internet. I don't do anything like FTD. I didn't mind designers arranging them but I ordered pink roses and baby breath, and they could have used white flowers or tulips to mix in, The worse thing they did beside sending something I did not want, was telling me twice that they were going to make it right and didn't. I am in business too and I know that if I do something wrong then I have to make it right, and especially I do not tell a customer that I will do something and then do not follow through.

    I am recovering from surgery and received flowers a day late from AVAS Flowers. As soon as I opened the box and saw a generic 12 stem bunch, I immediately thought of the ones you can buy at Walmart for $4.50. These are not what my sister would choose. I sent her a pic and she was shocked by this cheap bouquet of daisy varieties. She showed me what she thought she was getting. So far apart from the flowers that I received. How sad that scammers are in every aspect of our lives. Do your research people and read reviews before you shop. It is sad that when someone cares enough to send flowers, they have to deal with thieves and scammers.

    I had a floral arrangement ordered for a funeral and I was promised by Joseph 3 times that they would be delivered on time. I was worried about them not being delivered on time, so I continued to confirm with him they would. He assured me they would. The day of the funeral comes and I called to check on the arrangement. The company said they would not be able to deliver it before the funeral because they do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday. I asked to speak to Joseph again, and of course he was not available. I continued to speak to 5 different people and no one could help or explain why I was assured the arrangement would be delivered but they do not deliver on that day. I was not able to have flowers sent to this funeral because of this company. Do NOT trust their word if you want your arrangements delivered at all or on time.

    I am a florist, and I just want to pre-warn everyone to do their research. This is not a local florist and a scam. Do not order flowers through them. We were accepting flower orders for a short period of time and were recording angry phone calls from customers that ordered through them. We had a customer that spent $250 and we received about $85 of that from them. They are now calling and lying that they are from a different wire service to try and get us to take the order. Please search for a local florist in the area you want to send flowers. You can usually find them in the google addresses. I hope this is helpful.

    This was my first time purchasing flowers from Avas Flowers online. Purchasing process was very easy. I was able to get free same day delivery which was pretty awesome. My recipient got the flowers on the end of the day. The reason for only 3 stars is because they need to improve delivery status; there was no communication on delivery status. I kept sending inquiry request online, finally someone did called but didn't leave any messages. It was very frustrating. Finally at the end of the day, I got an email and text messages stating that my order was delivered VIA FedEx. I wish they would improve their communication by alerting customers regarding delivery status is on its way and send delivery picture. When you are sending flowers to surprise someone, you are anxious to know if your delivery is on its way!

    The advert says next day deliver. Next day no delivery, 2nd day the customer service had no idea if flowers I ordered were delivered. So they called my daughter not me the purchaser. Mgr. ** and Cloe customer Svc tell me, they offer, getting another florist. Too late daughter will not wk to receive. Reimbursement held 10 work'g days. They are still making money.     I went to www.avasflowers.net online to order flowers and a "plush," "soft" teddy bear to be delivered to Great Grandpa William **, at a memory loss facility, Glen Park at Boynton, in Glendale, CA for his 84th birthday. Great Gramps is a 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles, Paratrooper, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's/Dementia and is wheelchair bound. Our Son came down with Covid/pneumonia and had to be hospitalized at Mayo Clinic in AZ. We drove from CA to AZ to help him and take him to ER, and a few days later his Dad and I came down with Covid so we are quarantined. Great Grandpa had no visitors for his Birthday June 9th.

    Because Great Grandpa's memory is set back in time, sometimes age 10, sometimes age 50 but never 84 it was important to have a stuffie for him to cuddle, he likes soft stuffed animals. That was the most important and I waited an hour and a half while they put me on hold and hold again to contact a florist in Glendale, who said they had a medium size, plush Bear, 15 inch or bigger. Someone lied. Plus I specifically asked for a clear glass rectangle base, not a vase cuz he would knock it over. Because if the base is clear either plastic or glass Great Grandpa could reuse it, he could see inside, because if not clear he would forget what is inside. Again someone pretended to understand and confirm my request.

    The flowers were nice looking in the picture, but the balloons were for an adult not a child, no clear base, a cheap oval solid base, and the most important issue, No Soft Medium Size Plush Bear for Great Grandpa to cuddle. He is sad in the photo. Never ordering from them again, cuz either they didn't listen, or the florists they contracted with didn't listen, they got paid, but Great Grandpa didn't smile.

    NOT A LOCALLY OWNED company! BEWARE OF THE FALSE MARKETING!!! No clue who actually owns “Avas” but they work with local AFFILIATES to fulfill all orders. What does this mean and how does it affect your order? It means they have MANY agents who process your orders and relay those orders to OTHER agents at local facilities that may or may not even be able to accurately fulfill your request(s). They advertise generic items with broad descriptions and leave fulfillment to the discrepancy of those local florists. The final product you receive will be nowhere near what you expect or what is pictured/advertised.

    MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I ordered a graduation lei and balloons for my niece to be delivered the EVENING BEFORE her graduation ceremony so that she could wear it the next morning. Before placing the order, I wanted to confirm that it was even an item they could make or were familiar with (I called three other TRULY LOCAL florists who did not make leis, so I was conscious that it was apparently an unusual item). The agent assured me that it was indeed an item they could fulfill and implied he was familiar, so I proceeded to place my order.

    ONE FULLY PACKED GRADUATION LEI -RED AND WHITE CARNATIONS WITH GREENERY (I asked for only red, but he said the local florists could not do all red and I asked for Ti leaves which he seemed to be confused by but understood “greenery/greens” so I shrugged it off). After processing the order for the lei, he asked if I’d like to do balloons also, so I accepted the upsell and added them to the order. EXPECTED DELIVERY: by evening before graduation day.

    On the evening before her graduation, I received a call and text message indicating they would NOT be able to make the delivery in time but would attempt the next day. No guaranteed time of delivery. Because this would likely be too late, I requested a refund/cancellation to which the agent hesitated. The agent tried to glaze over this late delivery and convince me to allow them to deliver next day. I denied the offer because it would likely be too late and pointless. They then put me on hold for a short period and upon returning assured me that they could now indeed deliver that night as intended but were not able to fulfill the balloons as somehow the local florist was out of balloons. I expressed appreciation for the delivery of the lei and relented on the balloons.

    Two minutes after hanging up, I received a text message to call them regarding an issue with the order again. I immediately called them and the agent on the phone told me they were missing my niece’s phone number and therefore would not be able to deliver the order?? I never left her number as I wanted these to be a surprise, not to mention she’s a teenager with a lot of other fun events surrounding the graduation and I didn’t want to have her bothered. This agent stated that she saw NO confirmation that they had JUST (2 minutes prior) spoken with me or that they had ever assured me it a delivery for that evening. During that call with her, I received ANOTHER incoming call from Avas...it got very confusing and frustrating as this happened multiple times during an attempt at resolution.

    At the conclusion of this phone tag game, I spoke with a very kind agent named Samantha who apologized that anyone ever confirmed a delivery for that night and that she would call me the morning of my niece’s graduation the next day to let me know if they would make a delivery in time. If it were not deliverable in time, she promised a full refund. I accepted her offer and thanked her....a half hour or so later, I received a text message from my niece with a picture of what was delivered. A BOUQUET IN VASE of red & white carnations with greenery. A SMALL and sparse floral arrangement of maybe 9 total carnations with a few sprigs of baby’s breath wedged in. NOT WHAT I ORDERED and nowhere near worthy of what I was charged!!! So they receive credit for actually delivering in time, but they did not deliver what I ordered!!!

    Of course, I IMMEDIATELY called back and was told that there was a confirmed delivery (no duh) so they could not do anything. I persisted to demand a refund or correction and they initially offered a 50% refund. Why should a client have to pay for something they didn’t order or a mistake that was not their doing?!!! Apparently, the agent who documented my order, had ordered it as a “graduation bouquet of red and white carnations & greenery with LACE”. There wasn’t even lace in the arrangement received, so not only was it wrong based off his documentation...it was wrong altogether! LACE...LEI? I even remember discussing that she would wear it around her neck?! I’m not exactly sure what he was picturing if he didn’t know what a lei was and documented BOUQUET?

    I was unwilling to accept a 50% discount....I reasonably requested a FULL refund. There is no way I’m paying >$100 for a sparse bouquet of some of the cheapest florals available!! It was already a hefty price point for the lei I thought I ordered!! The agent was not able to refund my order and stated she would escalate it to a manager who would call me next day (Graduation Day). NEVER RECEIVED A CALL.

    I had to call back the following day and was met with an offer of $20 refund, to which I refused...she then offered the same 50% refund, to which I adamantly refused AGAIN. She placed me on hold and “relistened to [my] call” with the agent when I ordered and mistakenly believed that he placed the order correctly and even recited what he documented...which was a BOUQUET. She blamed the local florist for having misinterpreted and claimed a miscommunication, but still was hesitant to issue a refund. She placed me on hold a couple times and I continued to refuse anything less than a FULL REFUND.

    It was an error on their part, so it is absolutely reasonable to expect them to take full responsibility and issue a refund. She eventually relented and canceled my order completely and supposedly immediately processed a full refund. She stated that she “wanted to set a realistic expectation” that I must follow up with my credit card company to make sure I get refunded, but it was now out of their hands as she had just processed it on her end. I’m grateful this is seemingly resolved. I will indeed follow up and hope that this part of the process was conducted with honesty and integrity. The fault in all of this does not lie on one person alone, but they should not advertise as though they are a small locally owned “family” business...it is manipulative marketing.

    PLEASE BEWARE AND TAKE NOTE of the countless NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES you’ll read amongst all of these reviews! How could a company continue to ignore all of these complaints? TO THE OWNERS OF AVAS FLOWERS, PLEASE DO BETTER. Please review these complaints and address the many areas where improvements can be made! You have the resources to do better and it is absolutely inexcusable to continue to take money from people who come to you for something so special...whether it is to celebrate an important event/person, or to mourn a loved one. Please do better.

    I ordered flowers for my 93 year old mother for mother's day. Three weeks later and still no flowers. Based on their web site I thought I was dealing with a local florist, so shame on me (and credit to them for making a web site that fools you into thinking they are local). Anyway, given how busy florists are on mother's day I could forgive the lack of delivery. What caused me to write this review is the complete inability to reach their customer service to inform them that they did not fulfill my order.

    Completing their online form does nothing, and their phone system for customer support appears to be intentionally designed to, at some point, disconnect on purpose so that you can never speak with a live person. I have had to resort to calling my credit card provider and filing a dispute, something that hasn't been necessary in years. Do not use Avas if you care about the recipient you'd like to receive flowers, as you will likely be disappointed - and find that your money has been stolen. Strong words? Yes. But the honest truth.

    Will never use this service again. They substituted my order with something that was frail and wilted looking and had no fullness to it. I have pics to prove it. The type plant I ordered had a specific underlining meaning. Very hurt and disappointed. The recipient had to Dr up the substitute and change the pot. It was for bereavement and cost me $80+. Phone number provided was for Spanish speaking only. Advertised as if in Gary Indiana but later discovered they were not. Never again!! Won't recommend either.

    I placed a flower order for a friend's father who passed away. It was supposed to be delivered on 5/13/21. The arrangement with delivery was $118.60- I received my confirmation, but when I spoke with my friend 5/18/21 she said she did not receive a delivery. It was extremely hard to reach anyone by phone, so I emailed company for explanation. All I got was, "Well do you want it delivered today (services were yesterday)!" No, I am sorry just a "Well do you want refund?" No, I replied. I want these flowers delivered and how are you going to compensate me (your customer).     First I fully understand my order was placed during one of the busiest times (Mother's Day), so substitutions would have been fine. I ordered the Blooming Daisy Basket however not only were there absolutely no Daisies in my basket but the flowers were dying and dead by day 2! I don't understand how any delivery person could be happy bringing such an order to customers. Not only did it make me sick I didn't get what I ordered but embarrassed and appalled as these were for my In Laws. Thank God I have wonderful In Laws who understood. I will NEVER order from Avas Flowers again, not only is their website hard to navigate, but their Customer Service is terrible.     I ordered flowers for my Mom for Mother's Day 15 days early and I could only select flex delivery (that meant Fri, Sat or Sun). I was ok with the Flex delivery as my Mom lives in Florida and has an active social life. I called my Mom on Mother's Day to see how she was and if she received the flowers and she said No. It was early in the day and I thought the delivery people were busy so I wasn't worried...until that night. The Flowers never came!

    Called on Monday to see when they would arrive and the rep said he apologized that they were not delivered on time but that I should understand that they received hundreds of orders for Mother's Day and they were short handed...(did they not think ahead that Mother's Day is a big flower delivery time?) I told him that I placed my order early enough and if they were overwhelmed then they shouldn't have taken my order and I would have called somewhere else. He then said he would "get right back to me". Well I NEVER got a call back, I got an alert on my phone from my credit card company about a refund and then I got an email from Avas saying they cancelled my order and refunded my money. Personally I think this is a scam.

    Placed an order for flowers, paid a significant premium given their upcharges and service fees, and was notified a day later that chosen bouquet was not available, and thus was forced to cancel. I went back to the site, selected a new bouquet of flowers that were allegedly available, gave permission for substitution, agreed to flexible delivery timing of four day window, three days beyond my desired delivery date. 2 days later, I was notified - out of the blue - that they were cancelling my order. No reason given. I called, got transferred between 3 people, none of whom could provide an explanation or fix the problem. This was the ABSOLUTE worst customer experience I have ever seen.     My mother was in the hospital preparing for open heart surgery. Her surgery was Friday before Mother’s Day. I placed my order online that said same day delivery on Thursday morning. I received an email that asked me to call because there was a PROBLEM with my order. I called them immediately after receiving the email. I was told my order could not be delivered that day. After talking with them for 17 minutes they GUARANTEED it would be delivered by 12 on Friday the day of her surgery. By 3 pm I called because she had not received them yet. They could not tell me why. I explained I could have got them somewhere else but they GUARANTEED they would be there. I requested a refund but was told they were looking into it first. I paid $107.00 for nothing.

    I order a Peace Lily On Tuesday for Delivery On Sat for a Memorial Service (starting at 1pm). At 10am the morning of the service Avas flowers called and cancelled the order.     Shame on me for not knowing they were not local. I thought I was working with a local flower shop. Avas flowers review: they stink / zero stars / save your money.

    They could not deliver, did not have my arrangement, they kept me on the phone forever trying to sell me on when they could deliver an arrangement of their choice (not mine). I kept saying, "Cancel my order please," but no! "Well sir I can offer you 30% off, no cancel, but sir, let me see if I can find another florist, no cancel, but, but, but." I had to hang up on the woman with the Indian accent. I don’t even know if my order will be canceled and refunded. Worst experience ever!     Avas Flowers is a national florist that deceptively markets itself as if they are local. They contract with local florists to fulfill orders just like FTD or 800 Flowers. Avas missed delivering flowers on my sister's birthday, despite promising on their website delivery on a Sunday. I called to cancel early Monday morning before the local contracted florist opened. The Avas rep assured me my order would be cancelled and that I would receive a full credit back to my credit card. Long story, but the order ended up getting delivered and only after several calls and holding with three additional Avas customer service reps did I get a partial credit back to my credit card.

    You don’t have to believe my review. Just scroll and read the many hundreds similar stories from other customers. The Avas customer service reps are highly skilled at frustrating customers to give up on their complaints or accept minimal credits. This company is highly unscrupulous in their business practices. Avoid them at all costs.

    Ordering from Avas Flowers was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. When I look at an online image of an arrangement with the price next to it, that is the arrangement I expect to receive for that price, but when you select the image, you then see it was an upgraded version of the arrangement you were looking at which costs at least $10 more and there’s no picture of the standard version if you select that option (at the price you thought you were going to pay). When you call the contact number, you do not reach the local shop. Also, there is a $19 “universal” service fee applied.

    After I placed the order of my $39 arrangement - now $62 total, even with free shipping- I received a text the following day saying the delivery date had been changed to the day after the date that was confirmed in my order (my friend’s birthday) and the flowers I chose were not available. I cancelled the order and will confirm receipt of the refund. Like other reviewers, I was hoping to support a local florist, but this was false advertising and an exasperating experience.

    After 5 orders with this 3rd party floral distributor they sent a pitiful $100 purchase to my 82 year old Mother ... She did not want me to know that when it arrived, she went into her own yard to gather up flowers and foliage to place in the container to Doll It Up .... Local Florist that delivered the mess was Leo ** of Lynchburg Va... When contacted they blamed Avas but Odd Fact is No one minded taking my money .... Yet Customer Service was Nill.... Will never use again.

    Zero Stars!!!! My experience was very similar to others. I assumed they were local as it appears like other local websites for florists when you use a search engine. I thought the sudden extra fees at checkout were insane, but as I sat staring at the cart a popup box offered an additional $15 discount which recouped some of the mystery fees. This was a same day delivery on Administrative Professional Day, so I assumed that was why the extra fees (of which their policy for the fees is very convoluted).

    It got to be 4pm later that day and still no delivery, but I received a text (not a phone call) from the company saying there was something URGENT with my order. I tried to call probably 50-60 times over the next hour, it would ring once then an automated system would tell you everyone is busy. Finally I reached someone, when I did they informed me that the delivery couldn't be made because the florist had already left for their final delivery (which was **, bc I placed the order that morning). They stated they could deliver first thing the next morning. I agreed reluctantly.

    By 11 am the next morning still NO DELIVERY when I called and sat on hold 4 different times for over 30 min so that they could "research". No one could tell me where my order was. They would not release the name of the said "local" florist. One of the times they put me on hold to "call the florist" they came back and said they could not reach them so they "must be out for delivery". I proceeded to state that none if this made any sense. I do not live in a big city, there is no way that they could not handle a same day or even next day delivery of a very modest bouquet and balloon.

    I asked to cancel the order and a refund. I was put back on hold another 10 minutes so they could "process my request". When she came back she said she couldn't process it because it was out for delivery. When I asked her how exactly she knew that when when told me before that she couldn't reach the florist it was radio silence of course. This company is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS but they are PROFESSIONAL BAMBOOZLERS! Do not fall for these scam artists. It's truly a shame, and I assume that I will never see a refund.

    I placed an order on Avas Flowers website with the "same day delivery" promise. They charged a service charge and delivery fee. The flowers never arrived that day. After 7:30 pm, the recipient received a phone call asking if they really wanted delivery that night or if they wanted to wait until the next morning. She said the next day as she was settled in for the evening and didn't want to have to wait for a delivery. She has yet to receive it and it is now late morning of the following day. I called Avas to address the issue. They offered me $10. I paid a combined $31 in delivery and service charge. I received neither service nor delivery as of yet. They came back and offered me $19.99 and a $5 off a next order. I refused sticking to $31. A final offer of $25 which I reluctantly accepted. I also tried cancelling the order which they refused to do. So my recommendation is to NEVER use Avas Flowers.

    My wife was having a bad day at work, so I called at 10:30am to see if they could deliver by 2pm same day. He said yes, positively. I asked again, "Are you sure," he said yes. He even stated that they would probably arrive at her office by 12:30. So I proceeded with the order. My goal was to brighten up her day. By 3pm, no flowers! I called "customer service" and was given the run around for 40 minutes. So I demanded to speak to the escalation dept/supervisor. I was again put on hold for 16 more minutes listening to music. When a supervisor finally picked up, she told me no refunds, and to look at their online refund policy. I asked if they record calls, she said yes. I told her again that I was lied to and I asked her to listen to the call. I was told it didn't matter! I would not have ordered the flowers if they did not lie to me about the delivery. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! THEY WILL NOT STAND BY WHAT THEY TELL YOU!

    They waited 30 mins before funeral to call and say they could deliver red roses which I did not order. 3 days after the funeral that I ordered flowers for to start with and when I ordered flowers for funeral they recommended the flowers I bought for the funeral and message and say they didn’t have those flowers that they sold me so now I didn’t have time to even order flowers from a different place. They left me with 30 mins to try and get flowers to a funeral to show my respect, I’m hours away from is the reason for ordering online. These people are so ignorant. They ruined the way of me to show my respect for the departed. I would not recommend buying flowers from these people for any occasion.

    I ordered flowers for both my mother and mother-in-law for their respective birthdays. Both orders were late, one the day after and one 5 days late. They were unable to deliver what I ordered. While they did offer me money off my next purchase, thanks for at least attempting, I am so disappointed that the deliveries were not carried out as initially scheduled. I would avoid in the future... I will work with a local florist myself.

    On 4/9/21, I placed an order online w/ Avas Florist thinking it would be 49.99 for the flowers w/ a delivery charge of 9.99 plus tax. When I went to end the order, they tacked on a transaction fee for the total being 85.43. I never saw any info re: a transaction fee. I had unintentionally ended it and was upset about it going through w/ a transaction fee. The transaction fee was so upsetting I immediately called the company to cancel to be sure the transaction would be cancelled right away. Again, nothing was mentioned thru the ordering process about a transaction fee! To cancel, I went thru the phone’s options until I got to the cancel option. The recorder reconfirmed my confirmation # and told me that the order was cancelled. It did not give me a cancel #. It was worrisome to me, but I let it go.

    I reordered from a local florist. On 4/10/21, the flowers were delivered - not cancelled - and they were not only delivered late, the arrangement was wilted and very unsatisfactory anyway! Thank goodness I had the other arrangement! Calling the company today, they told me they record their calls and had no record of my cancellation. They would have to research. What??? This is so wrong. I believe this company to be a sham after talking w/ the rep there. I asked her to please do the right thing and just reimburse me. No, she’d have to research. She was NOT helpful and would not listen. How they do business is so very wrong!

Placed an order for a funeral and they promised a delivery just to get a text 10 minutes later saying it couldn't be delivered for another 4 days....After talking to some sweat shops in china and India and getting hung up on 5 times they finally canceled the order.     Avas Flowers is a TOTAL disappointment and I want to warn everyone that this company will rip you off!!! I spent $170.00 after a supposed discount to send the Pink Blushing Roses to a family I totally adore on the anniversary of their child's death. Avas sent them a lackluster bouquet of RED roses instead, and it looked like someone just threw some roses in a vase, like my 8 year old did it. Actually, my 8 year old would have done better.

    I called to complain and request they send the actual flowers I purchased, and they said that the florist did not have pink roses and do they had to substitute... Hmmm, well, how about a phone call to the customer to let them know about the issue before you send romantic, red roses to a family that is grieving the loss of a loved one. They only offered to provide me a 35% discount, then a 50% discount when I was dissatisfied with their offer. They REFUSED to send the flowers I actually ordered and would not provide me a full discount. I will NEVER order flowers from Avas ever again, as they do not honor your agreement or treat their customers with respect.

    I placed a floral order for delivery on 4/2 and paid much more than such items delivered in the past have cost. The website indicated that delivery would be 4/3-4/4 (Easter). The next day (10:52am), I received notification that I should call so my needs would be better served. I called and was told the delivery could not be made until 4/5 because the arrangement I ordered was unavailable. This information should have been shared prior to accepting my payment. No refund was offered, just an insignificant discount on a future order. Later (8:24pm on 4/3), I received an e-mail with a link to select an alternative floral arrangement. The link does not work. These people are thieves (taking money when not having the item to deliver) with incompetent supply chain/website communication.

    I was sending a colleague an arrangement after a huge favor she did for me. I made a mistake using your business and thought it was a local florist so I wasn't trying to support the business rather than using 1-800 flowers or Amazon. Here is the course of events: 3/31 - I placed an order for a LUXURY arrangement of tulips online. I never received a confirmation email so I called back - spent 40 minutes on hold to then be told that there was a problem with my order. They said that the tulips had to be sent in and they wouldn't be able to deliver until 4/1. I said that was fine. I then received a tracking number. 4/1 - I looked up the tracking information and saw that my order was delivered in the afternoon.

    Later that day I got a message from my friend who says that her husband was really upset when the ROSES showed up??? What roses I asked? She sends me a picture and on the card it says 10 tulips. I told her that of course I would never send her red roses! That event aside the arrangement they sent was obviously NOT LUXURY and just a simple wrong bouquet. There is nothing LUXURY about these arrangements. I would have spent $30 on something like that. Then I called customer service and waited on hold for close to an hour and I had to hang up because I had a work call come in. So I called back later and they were closed. Then I tried submitting an issue request via the website which bounced back saying that I could not reorder because my order was placed 7 days ago - WHICH IT WAS NOT! I tried that process a few times with no luck.

    4/2 - I call in the morning 8:30 and wait on hold for like 40 minutes to get a customer service person and she tells me it was obviously the wrong order and that she would refund 1/2 my money (impossible because I used a stimulus card) and she would get the right order sent out and someone would call me back to confirm when. NO ONE calls back. I called back again around noon and waited on hold for like 30 minutes and had to hang up because of work. Then I called back again at 2pm and waited on hold for about 10 minutes and reached a customer service representative who after 20 minutes told me he can't help because the order was shipped in from someone else so they can't re-deliver. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and then I spoke to him for over 30 minutes (AM STILL ON HOLD) and he proceeded to tell me they can't re-deliver either.

    Then he tells me maybe he can get me store credit - I tell him that if he can get store credit he can use that money TO SEND MY FLOWERS. He says this isn't possible. I am confused as to why that doesn't make sense. DON'T SEND ME THE MONEY - SEND THE FLOWERS???? What kind of a business operates like this. Now I am still on hold waiting after 50 more minutes. I noticed that there isn't a place for reviews on their website or FB probably because this is the worst company ever. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Then I see that they again tried to refund the card I TOLD THEM can't receive payments. Now I sit on hold.... Update. After an hour on hold it hung up.

    I really wish I did more research before I ordered flowers for my aunt in Arizona. I thought I was supporting a small, local business. The arrangement I ordered and paid over $100 for was NOTHING like what was delivered. There wasn’t a single rose in the arrangement and the flowers were wilted and pathetic looking. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging so much and delivering cheap arrangements that look like a child put them together. People order flowers to lift people’s spirits and I was truly embarrassed when I saw the photo of what was delivered. I’ve filed a complaint and am disputing the charge through my bank. Don’t make the same mistake I made... avoid this company!

    My parents live several hrs away and haven't seen them since covid hit... So I ordered my sun, moon, star flowers.. However I didn't get an invoice they substituted with 24 roses. But that's not what they got either. Instead they sent them white, pink and yellow daisies.. It wasn't even full...I could've picked them out if their yard... Was definitely not worth $86.85. When I called and complained they knocked off $19... Which is less than the service fee of $20. I would never order from this company ever again. Can't believe they send crap. And when I wrote a review on their site it never got posted. Pretty sure they screen for only good reviews. Not worth the money...

    Initially I made an error with the delivery address. Called Avas Flowers and the automatic system said that all modifications can be made online. I Made the address modification and got a successful message. The Flowers were delivered to the first address. I called customer service and the so called customer service agent said did you take a screen shot. I said I didn't think I had to. Long story short my love ones who just lost their mother didn't receive my condolence Flowers and I am out $108.

    I ordered a large arrangement, at $64.99, which was a $15 upgrade to their $49.99 arrangement. They sent me a receipt for the $64.99 arrangement, but sent the order to the florist for a small arrangement, which was listed at $39.99 and Avas Flowers would pocket the additional $25 I paid. I have photographic documentation for all of this.

    When the measly little $39.99 arrangement arrived, I called and complained wholeheartedly. They promised they would send out the correct size of the arrangement ordered within 24 hours. 48 hours later, when it had NOT been received, I called them again. They told me that they had done nothing about it. I told them I wanted a refund, since, by now, the birthday happened 4 days ago. They refused and offered me a $15 refund. I said absolutely not. There is a $25 price difference between the small size they sent and the large size I ordered, so I told them I wanted a refund of the difference between what they sent and what I received. They refused. I asked them if it is worth losing a customer over the $10 difference. Apparently it is. Then they offered me $15 credit, to which I responded that, since I will never order from Avas Flowers again, it is worthless.

    The only thing they would agree to is to resend what I had ordered, but this time they would send the correct item. I told them, if they did not send the large arrangement as ordered, I would take up this matter with my credit card company, and refuse to pay. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and a real rip-off of a company. I will NEVER AGAIN order Avas Flowers.

    I ordered from Avas flowers online for my daughter's birthday. She is in another state at college, and I ordered way in advance. The flowers showed up 2 days after her birthday. No email, to let me know anything. Trying to reach someone, on the telephone is near impossible. The flowers she received were not the flowers I had originally purchased. This place needs to be shut down. I wish I had read the reviews before. I tried to contact customer service after the fact also, and no response.

    I wish I could put photos on here for you to see. We ordered 2 dozen pink flowers in a vase and paid $152.95 and were mortified at the church to see about 10 tulips in a cheap vase. It was from the mother, of her dead daughter (died at age 59 unexpectedly). Palm Harbor Florida. Cannot reach them by phone, have to submit complaint online. Shameful. We trusted them. Embarrassing. Very sad to see, in front of the podium at the church, with her name on it.

    I've tried contacting Ava's Flowers several times to no avail. I ordered flowers to be delivered on Friday 3/5. After I received the confirmation it said they would be there by Tuesday the 10th. I tried to cancel them on Friday when I realized they were going to make it in time but I was hung up on. I tried to cancel through the website but I received a notification that it was after the cancellation window. The flowers were not delivered until Wednesday the 11th & when they were delivered they were not what I ordered. I ordered the Birthday Indulgence. Yes, there may be a substitution that would have a similar look/feel but the flowers that were received were nothing close to what I ordered. They were nothing special, in fact, I feel based on what I received I was grossly overcharged.

    I tried to make a claim on their website under the "I have a problem with what was delivered." I cannot because apparently, I ordered the item over 7 days ago. Clearly, that is not the case. I called today & was hung up on AGAIN! Both times I was on hold for over 20 mins only to be hung up on. At this point, I just want to warn others about their terrible service. I also thought this was a local florist. My fault for not checking closer but this right here is why you buy local.

    First, I asked if this place was local and they lied and said yes. Secondly, I placed three orders with them and they could not or would not tell me if the flowers were delivered or the status. Third, they promised to call back to update me and did not. One of the recipients sent a picture of the flowers and they looked NOTHING like what I ordered. They looked very cheap - lots of greenery- few flowers and very much like they were created at the last minute and thrown together. I mentioned to the sales rep that I could have gotten nicer flowers at the grocery store. His response “well next time do that”. They refused to refund me and agreed only to redelivering the flowers and exchanging them (who asks people to put their flowers back out for pick up?!) or giving me $20 when I spent over $200. Terrible experience and worse product. Please buy local and tell anyone you know not to order from here.

    Ordered a balloon bouquet for my brother's 60th birthday. Called me to say they were adding flowers to my order at no charge to me. They neglected to tell me they weren't delivering the balloon bouquet I ordered. The delivery was made 2 days after my brother's birthday. A pathetic box of wilted roses that weren't even arranged. Tried to contact them on their website but it's completely not user friendly. Takes you around in circles. Wish I'd reviewed this company first. Completely misleading advertising and definitely scam artists. Avoid this company at all costs. Shame on you Avas for cheating honest people. Hope karma finds you.

    Flowers not delivered on time. They changed delivery date twice. Delivery date was 3/12/21 by 7pm, then it was Saturday 3/13/22. Now it is 3/16/21. Try to cancel but they have not contacted me. Try to call 4 times but after 18 or 19 minutes they disconnected me.

    I would give Ava's Flowers a 0 star if I could. I placed an order for my sister's birthday on March 11th to be rushed delivered before 2pm. I ordered the Princess for a Day "as shown" for $59.99. I also ordered a mylar balloon. I was in a bit of a hurry while placing the order and missed the part where there was a $20 service fee and did not see that until I received my invoice in my email. I decided that was my fault. THe total for my order was $103.23 with the flowers, the service fee, rush delivery fee, mylar balloon and taxes. When my sister received the floral arrangement she sent me a picture. I really wish I could post the picture here. I was NOT happy with the product. It looks nothing like the photo and the arrangement was not near a full.

    I reached out to customer service that same afternoon and was told that she could receive a replacement and that I would get an email with more details and delivery time. I NEVER got an email. I called the next morning and spoke with another customer service agent who assured me that this would be taken care of. Today is March 14th and I STILL have not heard from them and my sister never got a replacement. I WILL NEVER order here again and I am placing my review on EVERY source I can find. Worst experience EVER.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Ordered an arrangement for a couple who lost a child to be delivered to their home on a particular date. Wasn't delivered on the date and was delivered to a UPS store. When contacted they asked if the recipient could just go pick it up from the store. I said absolutely not. After being on the phone for 20 minutes there was nothing they could do about it. I did get a full refund. I'd give them less than zero if I could.

    I have found Avas Flowers unreliable and dishonest. On Feb. 17, I placed an order for flowers to be delivered in Durham, Ct. on Feb. 21. By Feb. 27, the flowers still had not been delivered, and I cancelled the order. Nonetheless, Avas has collected $96 from my credit account. There is no way to discuss the issue. When I call, I am put on hold for 15-20 minutes before the call is disconnected. On the web portal, they reject my claim for reimbursement (filed Mar. 9) because they regard it as too late. I found this co. by searching for "flowers, Durham, Ct.," and imagined it was a local business. I should have looked more closely; they simply contract with local dealers from their headquarters in Delaware.

    Ordered a medium sized peace lily plant for a 3 year old's funeral for $90 that should have been at least 3 ft tall. Received a small table top peace lily for the total price, with taxes and fees, of over $117! On their website the plant I received was $42.99. I asked for the difference in price that I paid without even asking for the tax and fees. Had to fight for a refund of $30. For an additional $17, they would have made me whole, but said that would cut into their profit. Would NEVER use again or recommend them to anyone. They used a florist in the Charleston, SC area called Blooms & Stems. Stay away from them also!

    Flowers were NOT from Ava's as paid for. Flowers were not fresh and was delivered by Safeway. Paid for a bow but received a tiny ribbon, paid for mylar balloon that wasn't included. The arrangement was supposed to be a large arrangement as promised by customer service. What was received was comparable to a medium arrangement. Also, the lowest rating you can select is "fair" which is untruthful should be"unsatisfactory". This company is supposedly in business for 3 decades long is mind boggling. They are straight up fraud. How can they scam customers and still be in business. After I Googled and read all the negative comments, it fueled the urge to file a legitimate complaint as I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

    I ordered flowers as a present for my sister. At the day of delivery they sent an email that I need to change my order to another one and provided 4 other horrible bouquets as an alternative with delivery date starting from the next day. When I wrote that I need flowers today, not tomorrow, and I want to cancel the order if they can't deliver it in time, they answered: "Your order has already been processed and will be on its way to be delivered on your requested delivery date." I believed them, but later I found that they lied and sent them tomorrow, not today. Horrible service! "Thanks" for the "great" holiday, Avas Flowers!

    I don't think Avas Flowers is totally to blame for this but I ordered a funeral spray for an out of town funeral in Louisiana and their partner local to the funeral did not deliver the spray as pictured online at Avas flowers. Some of the flowers were falling apart due to lack of water or being past prime and the colors were totally the opposite of the picture. Online the picture showed pastel flowers suitable for a woman and the spray delivered was a hideous autumn orange brown and gold. It's stood out from everything else at the funeral and I was embarrassed because it did not represent the beautiful person I sent this for. True I did not take a picture of it nor did I complain for the first 10 days but the more I thought about it the more I thought this was wrong. Avas is not willing to do anything about it which due to the time I semi-understand --just putting it out there when you work with a broker for another local florist you may not get what you bargained for.

    I ordered a funeral arrangement for my brother-in-law. A beloved police officer who passed suddenly. I ordered the largest standing spray I could find together with a large blue ribbon, large teddy bear and large sympathy card. What I received was a sparse arrangement, no teddy bear and a little tiny card. I was e-mail by the florist that they could not fill the order as I had ordered it. They sent a small arrangement instead (without ever bothering to reach out directly to me) and at a much lesser cost. I am still trying to get my refund of approximately $88.00. Trying to call them and their representatives know nothing. It has been several telephone calls already and still no refund. In actuality a refund of something that was so very important and and can never be done again is simply horrible.

    This was the wort I've ever encountered. I am pretty sure they are a call center in India!! Promised next day delivery. My Sister still doesn't have her flowers. What a **!!! They lied about being local to the Scottsdale area. They are not. Every phone call takes 30 minutes to get through. Never been more pissed off. If flowers don't come on day 3 I will charge back. Don't order from these clowns!!! Worst ever!!!     EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! I placed my order, found a coupon and used it which eliminated the shipping fee - so I was quite excited. I stepped through the process pretty quickly because I do a lot of online shopping. I expect to see the full charge before I put in all my credit card information. But to my surprise I saw the "Service Fee" applied when I saw the email confirmation. On your Contact Us page, under Service Fee, you say, "Some companies simply conceal their service fee into to the cost of the flowers in addition to charging a delivery fee. We prefer to keep it separate so that you know exactly what you are paying for. We also do not currently charge a delivery fee." Well, having that fee show up at the very end, and then trying to compensate by not charging a delivery fee is a modern day Bait & Switch. Not recommending you, and never using you again.

    Do not ever use Avas Flowers! They advertise as a local flower shop. They are a flower shop clearing house. I called in on a Monday and was told the arrangement would be at the hospital in 2 to 3 hours. I said "as long as she gets it today". It did not. There was also a $19.99 service fee added to the invoice that I wasn't told of. She finally received a bouquet Tuesday afternoon that was NOTHING like what I ordered. I specifically asked what the cost would be for the arrangement in the picture and paid the "premium" for that bouquet. The bouquet I ordered had white lilies, yellow roses and purple/blue filler flowers as well as greenery in a vase with a bow. I understand substitutions...this had missing items.

    The arrangement she received had 3 white roses and 6 yellow lilies, no third type of flower, no greenery and in a small pot-type-container, no bow, no vase. I called in and emailed. Over 12 different communications, I pestered them into refunding me the $19.99 service fee and $15 (what they call the difference in price between what I paid and what I received). I look cheap.

    This company does not deliver on time and has extremely poor customer service. Closing my account as well as my Corporate accounts. We always pay the extra money for Rush delivery on corporate events and order in plenty of time. This time it was a personal event and we paid $20 for "Rush delivery". We requested to be the first delivery of the day (reason - person being honored would be leaving early). It is now 3:11 pm - no delivery! I call the Customer Service number and was told I would be refunded $10. They are not reliable and once they have your money, they do not give a damn about service. Cancelling all accounts.

    I placed an order Saturday for flowers for Sunday for my friends bday. I got an email saying they were delivered after 3 hours. I called my friend and asked her if she got the flowers. She had no clue what I was talking about. They called her an hour later while she was at work and left a nasty message saying they needed a “better address” I tried calling and kept getting hung up on. Finally got through at 7:01 and there was a message stating they were now closed. I called the next day. After 25 mins I got through to a woman who had a rooster crowing in the background the whole time. She transferred me to a man who told me that he was so sorry and they would send it the next day (2 days after her birthday) between 1-3pm and upgrade it to a bigger bouquet for “the hassle I had to deal with.”

    My friend is an ICU nurse at night and usually sleeps during the day but woke up at 1:00pm to make sure she was awake for the flowers and this time they did not call or show up! I called the next day (3days after bday) and the person I got on the phone with told me “they had confirmation that the flowers were delivered on Monday (1 day after bday).” I said that she never received the flowers and that I wanted a refund. They told me that they had a signature from my friend saying she received the flowers. This was a lie. I asked to see a copy of it. They said they would call me back.

    For the next two hours I received 2 more calls and 2 emails saying that the flowers were delivered on Monday! I asked all 4 times (2 calls, 2 emails) for proof! They all said they would get back to me. 3 hours later I received another call saying they wanted to send a different florist the next day with the bouquet to “make it right”. At this point I was irate, said “absolutely not, I wanted a full refund!” They told me it would take 5 to 15 days to refund the 83 dollar waste of time.... I was not happy but I just wanted it over with. I got my refund today 2 days later... So at least that is one thing that I got! This is the worst company I have ever used! I have never written a bad review about ANY company! I literally can not believe what a mess they are!

    I ordered two bouquets for Valentine's Day. Roses never opened, lilies opened for a day and shriveled. Everything at our end was done correctly at our end including cutting the stems diagonally. Their telephone lines are always busy and I was promised a call back rather than wait on hold for 30 minutes as the message said. Never received a call. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!     I’ve never written a review before, but this deserves to be shouted out from the rooftops.. I always look at the reviews before I buy, but on Avas florist website you don’t see them. Big Red Flag right there!!! I ordered a $110 bouquet of Lilys to be Delivered to my daughter. She was recently attacked by a Rottweiler and had to be rushed in an ambulance to the hospital. I ordered the Flowers on February 18th 2021 for same day delivery. I received an email saying they didn’t have the lilies in, but would have them in tomorrow. Avas sent me a $15 voucher for the inconvenience. (Just wait it gets better!!)

    I called Avas and asked them I need this delivered first thing tomorrow morning then. The Associate said, for the inconvenience they will Add more Lilies to the bouquet. The flowers were never delivered in the morning, my daughter called me at 4:30 PM. to say, "Thank you so much for the orchid." What the heck!! ORCHID?! It’s a $12.99 orchid from Trader Joe’s and Avas added a $1.00, Dollar store Get Well Soon balloon. So cheesy!!

    I called Avas that evening, and said I want my money back and told them that they are scammers. They are definitely a international company. They will keep you on the phone thinking you are going to get somewhere. 30 minutes later and the phone will disconnect. They will shuffle you around thinking you’re talking to the higher management. Nope!!! I called back on Saturday morning and said, "This is it. You either make this right or I’m calling the BBB." I finally decided just to call my bank, my bank told me they will give me back all the money I spent with this company! Karen K

    I ordered flowers for my father on the 13th after having open heart surgery. I am well aware we had a storm in Texas so delivery might be delayed to the hospital. A rep called me on the 15th to let me know they were being delivered that day and apologized for the 2 day delay. I assumed all was fine. I emailed again on the 17th because they STILL had not arrived. I was told again, they would be delivered that day. Well, today is the 20th- 7 days from the date of my order - i.e. a week has now passed. STILL NO FLOWERS!!! My dad has now checked out of the hospital.     I would put zero if possible. Our loved ones were homebound with Covid and we wanted to send a fruit basket with nutrients since they couldn't get out. We ordered online with Avas Flowers and first, they never delivered the day promised. Then, they called and we confirmed for delivery even though it would be late but confirmed that it was a large fruit basket. Two days later it is delivered around 6 pm and it was a tiny flower arrangement just over a foot tall and Not a fruit basket as ordered and confirmed.

    So, we called customer service right then and spoke to customer support and told him what had happened and refund our money on 12/29/2020. We just called again since the refund had not been made and got the run around by the supervisor in customer support. He was so rude and condescending. The supervisor lied and said he had listened to the audio recording where we allegedly told them to switch to flowers. We asked to hear the recording and he said it was for internal purposes only. He had the audacity to ask if we had a recording. We wish we did! This is so wrong especially in our time of crisis with Covid. Do not use Avas Flowers ever!!!

    Avas took an order online for an item when the item was out of stock. They emailed announcing the item is out of stock giving a preset group of lesser value alternatives as a substitute. Thus they overcharged for lesser quality item. In addition, Avas failed to deliver timely the first and second commitment. Remedy by telephone is executed through a litany of menus preventing talking with a representative and taking an inordinate amount of time. Unprofessional and dishonest.

    I am 61 years old and have been in customer service for over 40 years. I ordered flowers for my wives birthday and was lied to by every representative. They said they refunded money but has not posted in two weeks. I invite people to share about the scam company that hides behind automated phones and the internet. After failing the first delivery, they had two more chances, customer service actually said they would bring tomorrow the day after her birthday. No one returns call put on hold with very long wait times was hung up on three times switching to an extension. If people do not share these negative comments these businesses will continue to take advantage of their customers.

    I ordered the Tuscan bouquet for my mom on 2/10/21 to be delivered before Valentine's Day. Ava's accepted my payment, then on 10/11 sent me a message to call them. They could not deliver that bouquet until 2/15. I said, "No thank you," then they offered to substitute 24 red or pink roses that could be delivered on 2/12. I agreed to pink roses and requested they text me when the flowers were delivered. No flowers were delivered on the 12th or 13th. I called on the 14th and was told the flowers were in transit and would be delivered on the 15th. I told them I would rather have had the Tuscan bouquet had I known they wouldn't get there until the 15th. I expressed my dissatisfaction and I was refunded $20 and given a $20 credit.

    The flowers arrived via UPS on the 15th. They had no water, they were dead with many broken stems, and were red, not pink. There was a separate vase in the box so the recipient had to arrange their own flowers. My mom salvaged 5 flowers out of 24. I never got the text saying the flowers were delivered. Very disappointing for my mom as my dad was just taken to the hospital with pneumonia and won't be coming home. This should have lifted her spirits. Instead it was an insult! Do yourself a favor and order from a reputable florist! These folks are not professionals.

    Would give 0 stars if I could. I was shocked to see a photo of the arrangement I sent my parents. It didn’t come close to size I had chosen. The flower type was correct and the colors were correct in what little amount of flowers the arrangement had in them. The one I ordered contained at least two dozen flowers, while the one I received had a dozen at best. And I upgraded to buy the arrangement that came “as shown”. I paid for mostly greenery. I wish I could upload a picture. I immediately complained to them and told them how dissatisfied I was. They responded by apologizing and offering to send out another arrangement. I was ok with that. I thought that they would just deliver another one the next day. However, then they contacted the recipients (my parents) who are both battling Covid, without my knowledge, They had been made aware that they were both ill.

    They informed my parents that they would be picking up the first arrangement. My father, feeling ill and not wanting to be disturbed told them, "No, it’s ok, we’re satisfied." My beef is that they had no right to contact my ill parents with that, the transaction was between me and Avas. Shame on them! They then sent me an email saying I would be given a refund of $ 9.00, about 10% of total cost. I’ve tried to contact them again, but their customer service is all through email, with them calling you back, at their discretion. So I’m sure I will get no further satisfaction. Except my dissatisfied review.

    On 2/3/21 I ordered a spray to be delivered same day to funeral home. There was visitation that night and again before the 11 a.m. service on the morning of 2/4. On 2/4, I checked to make sure they had been delivered and the status showed that they had not & were scheduled to be delivered by 5 p.m. on 2/4. The funeral is at 11 a.m. that day. I called and requested the order be cancelled since they were supposed to be delivered on 2/3 but were now scheduled for after the service. I spoke to Maria at Avas who told me she could not cancel or refund because the order was already being made and would be delivered today. She continually told me that the order "was never scheduled for delivery on 2/3". Despite me insisting that was false and offering to send a copy of my order showing 2/3 delivery date- she continued to tell me I was wrong- basically calling me a liar.

    I offered a copy of the order to prove I'm not a liar. She then switched from it was never scheduled for 2/3 delivery to saying I didn't place order by the same-day deadline- which was false- and again, I offered to provide proof that was not the case but she stood by her assertions- again insinuating I am lying despite documentation from Ava's proving otherwise. I asked to speak to a manager. Maria put me on hold while she waited for "authorization to transfer to a manager". After 37 minutes, she got authorization and transferred me to a recording that said "Goodbye" and hung-up.

    I called back and selected 'place an order' instead of customer service- and got right to someone who didn't want any part of service and when I asked to be transferred to manager- transferred me to Sergio who wasn't a manager and couldn't help me. However, he did get me to a manager, Andrea, who confirmed I placed the order before the deadline and that it was supposed to be delivered 2/3. I requested cancellation and a full refund but she refused saying she'd try to cancel order but I would only get a partial refund.

    On January 25th I ordered a standing floral funeral arrangement for my godmother to be delivered by Saturday January 31st before 11:00 a.M. Friday night January 30th I received an email stating my floral arrangement has been delivered. I called the funeral home. They said it was never delivered. You don't sign for the floral arrangement because I believe explain to they sign a book the book never showed a floral arrangement delivered to my godmother.

    I called back. I spoke to a young lady. She stated that they could have the floral arrangement there by 2:00 p.M. 2:00 p.M. Would have been much too late since my godmother's graveside service was at 11:00 a.M. They never showed up. I continue to call and call and call to no satisfaction. They're still telling me that the floral arrangement was delivered on January 30th at 12:00 p.M. But at the same time they also told me that it was delivered on Saturday at 12:00 p.M. North ranch was ever made and my opinion avas flowers are thieves. They take your money and they give you excuses about getting a refund back. They're very incompetent.

    I wouldn't advise anyone to use them because they will take your money without delivering the merchandise that is promised... To anyone that is thinking of using avas flowers do not I repeat do not use this company because they will steal your money and they will lie to you so now I'm in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau and an attorney because I don't think it is fair what they do or what they continue to do.

    Greetings: This Complaint is about the services and products sold by Avas Flowers in Chandler, AZ. Upgraded heart shaped funeral flowers and a "Beloved Father" banner were ordered, purchased and paid in full which included delivery services. My father's funeral flowers and banner were not delivered. When I complained to Avas Flowers about not receiving my father's funeral flowers for his services, Avas Flowers ignored my calls. The mortuary informed me that Avas Flowers delivered a smaller arrangement without a banner on another day and after my father's service.

    The loss of a father is a heartfelt and profound impact; Nonetheless, I put thought and care when selecting my father's funeral flowers from Avas Flowers. After carefully selecting my father's funeral flowers, I ordered the flowers and a banner from Avas Flowers and for which Avas Flowers took my order and I paid for the funeral flowers and banner in advance. Avas Flowers confirmed my order, the delivery time and the purchase order. Avas Flowers did not deliver the flowers as promised, nor did Avas Flowers deliver the banner. The loss of a father is difficult and when companies like Avas Flowers take advantage of people who are grieving their loved ones, it hurts even more.     Avoid this company and use a viable florist service! The flowers arrived almost dead, and they refused to replace the order saying the arrangement fell within their "guidelines". It was a complete shock to see what they looked like (drooping and almost dead on arrival two days ago). The company also has NO way that you can communicate with them (meaning a phone number). I believe that's intentional so that they can avoid dealing with displeased customers. This was the first AND last time I'll ever order from them, and I encourage others to select alternate florists unless they want to end up with pathetically arranged, and nearly dead flowers.

    What a waste of an almost $90.00 order for someone that had just gotten out of the hospital. I've never left reviews about any companies before, but I'm going to leave as many negative reviews as possible on other websites too, so other people can be warned about their total lack of customer service, and poor quality of what's delivered. All they had to do was bring out a replacement arrangement for the pathetic one they delivered, and it took sending 5 emails through their website to finally have them respond by saying "NO", that the arrangement was acceptable "by their standards", so avoid them, and use another florist in order to avoid disappointment and frustration.

    Three days after the flowers I ordered were scheduled to arrive, they still hadn't AND I hadn't been notified. It took a lot of time and firm insistence to get my refund as they attempted to route me through email, then a robotic phone line, offered multiple steps of "discounts", then had me on hold for several minutes while they checked if they could give me a full refund.     I ordered and PAID for a full bouquet of flowers for a friend that has cancer. I asked specifically if AVAS was a local florist in Billings MT and they told me yes they were. That is a lie as they have a warehouse in Delaware. The flowers were delayed an entire day and the large bouquet I paid for was substituted with a measly handful of skinny wilted mums. It was shameful and embarrassing to have them delivered to my sick friend.

    I was told the flowers would be delivered from Deleware? Then UPS delivered the sick looking flowers in the middle of winter from Kentucky? I easily could have purchased nicer flowers for 10 bucks from a local Walmart. All employees I talked with on their phone line lied to me about what flowers would be delivered and when. When I called 5 florist in Billings MT they all said that they refuse to do business with AVAS as they scam customers. Save your money and send a care; don't give your credit card number to AVAS as it appears this company is just gathering card numbers and using wilted flowers as an excuse to charge it.

    I called Avas Flowers because they were listed as a local family owned company. I ordered a standing basket of flowers for our uncle’s funeral on January 11 to be delivered January 16. The next day I got a call that they needed to sub flowers but that it would still be red, white and blue and the same value. When the flowers were delivered, I found out that they’re just another flower gatherer who uses local florists - definitely not local themselves. There was NO stand for the standing basket and no sympathy banner for the arrangement. The big bow in the picture on their website is not included so I paid extra for that too. Instead of the sympathy banner, the local florist put Uncle on the left trailing ribbon of the bow and Beloved Brother on the right one. It looked like a joke homecoming mum.

    After 5 days of no response to emails or phone calls, they finally credited the missing sympathy banner back to my card but had no excuse for the missing stand. The flowers were actually beautiful but that had nothing to do with Avas and everything to do with the local florist who put the basket together. Avas cannot take credit for any of it. Never again.

    I ordered a plant/flower arrangement. My first phone call from Avas was they couldn’t make the delivery date then they didn’t have the plants listed in description. Then they took it upon themselves to change the delivery date from Saturday to Tuesday without notifying me along with changing the order completely to a white orchid without notifying me. Then they still couldn’t make the delivery on Tuesday and nobody called me I had to call them. In the end I canceled the order and my daughter never got her arrangement that was to be delivered on the Friday before. Very frustrating. I will NEVER use this company again !!!

    I will never order for Avas again. I get substations, especially in this economy. Their website says the flower will be of similar color of of higher quality. My $75 arrangement was half the size of what was advertised and was missing 3 of the the flowers, way under the quality I paid for. I also bought it for the "pop" of color. Why advertise an arrangement you cannot make?! Do not order the "She's got style, she's got grace." I am happy to show you a side by side of what was on the website and what we got.     I ordered some flowers online for our anniversary. The picture on the website was nice, looked professional. Delivery was scheduled for 1/12/2021 before 7pm. Well, I waited all day long and never got a delivery. Next day I submitted a call ticket through their service. Three hours later I get an email that they are reviewing it. I wait and wait, finally cancel the order once again through their service. On 1/15/2021 I find a pathetic arrangement on our doorstep. The $5 extra big card was a joke. My message was just printed on the back of a delivery tag. Not to mention there is another $9.99 unaccounted for on my bill so it ended up being $120 for an awful vase of flowers. When I complained I did get refunded..a whopping $12 since there was "nothing they could do since my order was delivered". They got me, but hopefully someone else will read this review and not waste their time and money.

    We ordered 2 bouquets by phone for same day delivery. Received multiple calls on that day and the next about inability to deliver on promised day and pictured bouquet not available.     Buyers Beware!! AvasFlowers.net is a scam florist!! Never, I mean NEVER, order from them if you value your hard earned money. I made the mistake once and thankfully I was able to go to the top superiors to get a full refund. However, the refund came only because I smelled something fishy within the hour after I ordered. I ordered 4 days in advance, and within an hour of the online order I got a call to tell me they were all out of a specific flower (the flower that I particularly selected the bouquet for), and would I mind if they substitute. Uh, no, how do you substitute a daisy for a large lily??? My order never reached the delivery day because I cancelled. But so, so many other online shoppers will tell you on the Consumer Affairs website, their order reached the "supposed" delivery day and they weren't so lucky to get a full refund.

    Sadly, the flowers that someone just ordered for me for my birthday yesterday (though they paid extra for same day delivery); were not only NOT delivered the same day as requested/paid for (and were supposedly to be "upgraded" to a larger arrangement); but when the flowers arrived it looked like someone quickly grabbed some flowers at Walmart for $4.99. This little bouquet was bundled with a zip-tie around the tissue-like paper, stuck in what looks to be a professional florist delivery box yet no shipment water dispenser like real florists use. And these supposedly came from Kentucky to Arizona - with no water?!

    Not only that, but apparently the bouquet should have been in a nice vase!! I'm infuriated that this kind of con even exists, especially because I know the person spent way more than their budget should allow for this arrangement. Oh, the florist's website looks legit. Their reviews on their website "seem" legit. Buyer beware!! Anyone can write a review on a website.

    Ordered a same day delivery to be sent before 5pm they. I called at 4:30 pm to find out that my order had been scheduled to deliver 2 days later and also the pink roses I ordered they had replaced with red roses. Nobody contacted me in any way to tell me it would be late or they had changed the order. So after finding out that my order would be 2 days late and was not what I ordered I tried to cancel the order. I called. They swapped me to different operators I assume so I would give up and let the order go through but I didn’t give up and after speaking with at least 6 different people and over an hour of my time they canceled it. Haven’t been refunded yet ($178.00) but at least they didn’t send the wrong order which would have made me look like an idiot. These people do not care. All they want is your money.     My mother died right before Christmas and I needed flowers for her funeral on Dec. 26th. No one local would be open and they were pretty much out of flowers anyway so I was happy when Ava's said they could deliver a large spray on Saturday Dec. 26th. I happened to look at the tracking on Dec. 24 and it said the delivery would be on Dec. 29. Not acceptable and I got NO communication that there was a problem. You'd think they would know if FUNERAL arrangements were delayed that they would TELL YOU. I was able to find a florist 30 min. away and I had to go pick up the flowers the morning of my mom's funeral. Not a great turn of events. This florist said never go to internet sites with no address, they just farm out the flowers anyway. Lesson learned! I would recommend everyone STAY CLEAR of Ava's Flowers!

    Not a florist, just a reseller that adds a premium to all orders. Neither pricing nor service is good here. Ordered on Saturday for same day delivery. It was assured on the phone by a staffer. "No problem, it will be there early afternoon." When I checked on the order on Sunday, I got a recording saying that it would be delivered on TUESDAY, or FOUR DAYS LATER! Screw that, I cancelled the order, and if my refund isn't timely, I will be visiting the BBB and dozens of other consumer advocates. Do yourself a favor and visit any other florist besides this one.

    I ordered a Bushel of Berries Bouquet for a friend on 12/21/20. I was assured by phone and on the invoice they would be delivered or before that date. The "bouquet" was delivered 12/29 6:30p. My friend sent me a photo; the arrangement was appalling. Instead of a lovely red vase of St. John's Wort with bright red berries and a lovely bow, she received a clear vase with a bunch of evergreen leaves, three wilting red carnations, and a sad excuse for a bow. I wish I could attach photos so you could see just how bad it was. Embarrassing. It took me a few days to complain to Avas and when I did I was told I waited too long. It really was the worst excuse for a bouquet I have ever seen, let alone delivered 4 days late. Never again.

    I ordered a teddy bear and balloons to be delivered to a children's hospital on Saturday, I explicitly explained that the patient will be checked out on Monday. I was guaranteed it will be delivered on Saturday; however, they delivered it on Monday after the patient checked out to the hospital and left it in the reception.     I called this company to ensure they were local and could fulfil a very special order. THey confirmed (lied). Flowers were to be delivered on Monday...they called mid day to say they need my approval to replace pink roses with red...I said OK. They called me later to say they couldn't deliver that day (pretty much ruined the reason for the order in the first place). I agreed to delivery on Tuesday. On Tuesday mid day they called and said the truck broke down and couldn't deliver. I tried to cancel but they wouldn't agree, so the flowers were shipped via UPS from Kentucky (delivery to Florida) so obviously they weren't the local company I thought I was purchasing from. $80 order was a 4 stems that you can buy at 7-11 for $4.99.     I ordered sympathy plant in Jan 4, 2021 today is Jan 6, 2021 still not delivered. If I had known there’s no actual Avas in Auburn AL, I would had never ordered but the Rep lied to me and said they are located in Auburn. I specifically asked that question. After 4 calls to this company which is not in the US I was placed on hold today for 35 min (Carl). Totally ignored. While on hold I called back on a different phone and spoke to a girl named George. These are all fake names. My other phone got disconnected after 35 minutes while I was talking on husband's phone. I told George the problem and if the arrangement isn’t delivered today I’ll want a full refund and no charge for canceling.

    This company needs to be investigated stealing money and not delivering goods. I asked who are they actually using in Auburn and she said Avas again. I told her that’s a lie because there is no Avas. She refused to give me a name of a floral company they are in cahoots with. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I will follow up later today and if not delivered I’m going to dispute charges with my bank and pursue refund. I will also report to the BBB which I’m highly doubting they have no good ratings.

    Very disappointed. Their site is a lie. They are not a local florist--if you look at the fine print at the bottom, it says they're from Delaware. However, when I tried reporting them through BBB, there were 5 different addresses (same phone), and the company with their stated address is called "Flower Tech, Inc." They didn't deliver what I ordered (1/2 the flowers pictured), and they delivered it 4 days late with no explanation, no apology. I didn't get what I'd paid for, and my parents got a late Christmas gift. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I left a negative review, but they only post made up 5 star reviews. I should've not trusted the site, and looked up company reviews. All I've found is negative. Someone needs to get them out of business so more people aren't taken advantage of.     This company is just a con, not a florist. When you order, your credit card will be charged immediately. Then you will get an email that there is a "problem" with your order. This can't be delivered, that can't be delivered. The flowers will be different, but comparable. Refunds will be promised. They will never arrive. They will charge you $150 for roses then deliver $20 worth of tulips. Customer service will experience "connection problems", they will "accidentally" drop your call. They may eventually agree to only charge $140 for the crappy tulips, but that $10 refund will never appear.

    I called them on the phone. I ordered fifty red roses for an anniversary. Specified a red vase, with a white bow and an afternoon delivery. For $350 you would expect them to come close.     Ordered a large standing funeral spray for my sister’s funeral in Hawaii 4 days in advance thinking Ava’s Flowers was a local florist. Two days before the funeral, I received 2 emails saying they had called me several times but no answer which was a lie. Told because of Covid, flowers could not be delivered to the mortuary and I instructed them to deliver instead to the house. Was told the flowers were in the van on the way to the house but delivery was never made. The day before the funeral I received an urgent email saying to contact them.

    Was told an alternate arrangement was made and was en route to be delivered. When asked why I wasn’t consulted beforehand, no answer was given. When asked what the “alternate” floral arrangement was, I was told they don’t know. When told the flowers were en route for delivery, the driver couldn’t be located. Upset at the changes in my order, I spoke to the manager. I was told NO FLOWERS ARE BEING DELIVERED BECAUSE THE ARRANGEMENT WAS NEVER MADE and they didn’t have a floral designer to do the job. There were no flowers at my sister’s funeral from us and nothing but excuse after excuse. We were inconsolable knowing there’d be no flowers from us and it was too late to order a large arrangement elsewhere.

I even offered to deliver the spruce back to them! Now they don't write or call. I submitted a claim through the Attorney Generals Office. I just can't let them steal over one hundred dollars from me!

    My good friend's husband passed away suddenly 2 months ago. I sent her flowers for her birthday. I wanted them extra special and indicated that. I chose the medium size arrangement that was more expensive. Avas called and texted numerous times to tell me they could not deliver them on the day I wanted, but could deliver them 2 days before. I agreed. They made sure to tell me that the flower arrangement would be "even better" than I had ordered. My friend sent me a picture of the arrangement she received. I was totally embarrassed and livid! I ordered a multi color arrangement with purples, reds, oranges, etc. What she received literally looked worse than a grocery store bouquet! It looked like they had been picked and arranged by a child! It was a dozen white daisies and two..yes TWO red carnations.

    I paid $66 with all of their fees. I called immediately after they were delivered and was back and forth with someone there. He said they could not deliver another bouquet, but he could offer me a $15 store credit!!! I said, "what the heck am I supposed to do with that?" I kept pushing for more since I was so upset. He finally said he could give me 30%. So I would get a whopping store credit total of $19!! I demanded to speak to a manager or supervisor. He kept putting me on hold saying the manager was on the other line. Then said he was transferring me and I was on hold for 5 minutes and then disconnected. I was on the phone for 45 minutes!

    I have since sent an email with pictures and details with no response and I have sent a message through Facebook that I can see they looked at with no response. If you look them up on Facebook there is an actual Facebook site for people that have been scammed by them. They have been reported to the BBB and nothing has been done about them. Stay far away from this company!

    The arrangement of flowers I ordered from Avas Flowers are listed as $39.99. With the free shipping code I ended up being charged $72.99. The "arrangement" was NOTHING like the beautiful picture. It was a few sad flowers and green. I've had better $10 Walmart bundles. I've called Avas twice and left two website requests for resolve. No feedback from them at all. I reported it within minutes of the receipt. The call center person says they have to get with the designer and will let me know. Over 3 days later they are still ghosting me.

    This is top 3 worst is experience in my life with customer service. They claim flowers were delivered at my home and never were. I called to make the claim and 4 days later they still have not talked to me. I attempted to reach them 7 TIMES, still not about to get my issue resolved. These flowers were for my anniversary, what an embarrassing experience and I will never order from them again. Still fighting to get my money back.     Avas Flowers positions as a local florist when you enter a city and search for Flowers. I thought it was a 30 year family operated business in a town my Cousin lives in. tried to send birthday flowers 3 days later still not delivered. Staff is not able to communicate effectively. Stock answers off a script. Multiple attempts to get resolution, long wait on hold multiple times. This appears to me to be a scam which uses local city searches for florist and comes up like it's in the city you want to send in. I saw nothing but negative online reviews about Avas. Please do not utilize this company. I've now spent over $100 but maybe more importantly hours online and on phone trying to rectify a simple floral delivery. I have never encountered a worse operation and staff. Don't take my word for it, go online and look at reviews... Nearly everyone is an equally awful experience.

    On Wednesday, December 9, 2020 I ordered 2 bouquets of flowers to be delivered together, December 11, 2020 to my twin 11-year-old nieces. This has been a difficult year and it was especially important that the florist follow my instructions. To clearly communicate, I called to make the order, speaking with customer service representative Carlos I gave order and delivery instructions. Carlos assured me he would “personally” make sure the order was completed correctly and he would choose the freshest flowers. The most important concern I have was that the bouquets be delivered at the same time so that neither twin would feel slighted.

    On Thursday, December 10th (a day early but acceptable) I received a call from one of the twins, Mallory, thanking me for the flowers. Her mother told me that only ONE twin received her bouquet. I immediately called AVAS Flowers expressing my concern and frustration about the process and asking for confirmation when the second delivery would be completed. I asked to speak with a supervisor (I did not get his name) and he told me he would investigate the matter and call me back. I never got a call back.

    On Friday, December 11 I received 2 text messages confirming that BOTH bouquets order numbers ** and ** had been delivered. I called my niece who confirmed that the second bouquet NEVER arrived. I again called AVAS Flowers and was told by the next customer service representative that he would investigate the matter and call me back. I still have not received a call from AVAS Flowers.

    This is a company you definitely DO NOT want to do business with. This is what happened... I ordered a fruit basket in the morning for delivery on the same day (Thu) and paid extra for rush delivery. They contacted me and told me they couldn't deliver it that day and they would deliver it the next day (Fri). Never happened. If I hadn't tracked it myself I would not have known they didn't deliver it. Their support website, "Where's My Stuff" responded with, "We understand this matter is very important to you. We will get back to you as soon as possible with a resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience." Never happened. They never got back to me.

    I had to call them on Friday where they told me the same thing they told me on Thu, "We'll deliver it tomorrow". When I asked to speak with a supervisor, they put me on hold for over 10 minutes, said they were transferring to a supervisor, and then ... I'm back in the phone support queue. What a monumental waste of time. Utter incompetence.

    I was looking for a flower arrangement for my sister's partner of 10 + years that passed which I considered a brother in law and loved very dearly. The arrangements was supposed to be a large basket on a stand with white roses, lilies and yellow roses and assorted yellow flowers with yellow and black ribbons on it. Instead I received a medium yellow and pink arrangements without the stand and one yellow ribbon attached. I called the company to let them know I was not satisfied with the flowers and it was and eye sore at the funeral and I paid 150 dollars for this arrangement that I never ordered and wasn't pleased. The rep told me to hold for over 30 mins and told me she could give me 20 dollars refund. I was so disappointed I had tears in my eyes.     I placed an order for flowers to be delivered to a sister in another state. Explained the occasion and described what I wanted since a a picture was not available on the website. The agent even made suggestions. I selected the top grade because I wanted it to be nice. Told it would be delivered that day. I was never able to track the delivery and their phone system is a disaster. You will never speak with anyone without an accent. Charged $5 for a bow and $5 for a card to say who it was from. No delivery charge but a $20 service fee. Still attempting to resolve the issue.

    I ordered a bright red very full poinsettia with white carnations and additional greenery, wrapped in silver foil with a white ribbon. My sister received the muted red poinsettia with maybe five blooms, no additional white flowers or bow. The agent sent me a copy of their order which included what was to be on the card and it did not use upper and lower case lettering except for one name. Delivery was made after dark after my repeated attempts to track delivery. I have sent them a picture of the flowers and the receipt I received with the description. I am working with them in an attempt to resolve the issue. No way am I paying over a $100 for what was delivered. I have ask my credit card company to withhold payment until this is resolved. Please be smart and look at reviews before ordering.

    I was look to send flowers to my daughter in the hospital on Sunday. Avas' website said they could do this. Avas quoted me for the flowers and delivery charge. I gave them my charge card numbers then they said they also charge a $19 service charge. And that all florists in Florida did this. I called other florists in Florida and Avas lied to me. The other florists do not charge a service fee. I immediately cancelled with Avas. And ordered with another company. Avas delivered thru a different florist 3 days later and charged me even though I cancelled with them! $86.27. They sent me no confirming data/email. I had to dispute with my charge company. At first my company charged me because Avas had false documentation. And I had none. My company finally gave my money back. DO NOT deal with this disreputable company.

    I had ordered a gourmet basket for a co-worker. When I called, I spoke to someone and they took down my order. I then received confirmation email of my order and I had seen where they charged a $19.99 service charge. An hour later, I received another email about a survey, which I didn't fill out, then about another hour later, I received an email stating that they could not provide me with my order and wanted me to pick 1 of 3 choices instead. I did not want to send a bouquet of flowers. This gets better, I get another email 30 minutes later stating that the delivery was on its way. Well, by this time I was so confused. I tried calling them and figured out that I was speaking to just an answering service, not the actual flower shop. No one ever picked up phone.

    I received a call this morning on my cell telling me that there was an issue with my order and for me to call back. Keep in mind that they didn't leave me a phone number to call them back. So, I dialed from the number on my cell. Phone number not in service. I finally called Avas and pushed all these number to get to speak to someone live. They tried to bribe me with discounts for future orders...NOT HAPPENING.. Cancelled my order. DO NOT USE THIS FLOWER SHOP...

    P.S. I worked in the flower business for over 17 years, and I was truly disgusted on how they fool people. Where do they get off charging $19.99 for a service charge..

Initially I was placed on hold, then after 30 minutes, tried calling again. Call went directly to hold. Fast forward to 11/21. Contacted customer service requesting a refund or redelivery of flowers as it was their error. They would not do either of my requests. They gave me $35 credit off my order.     I ordered these flowers for my sister's funeral as per her request before she passed, but they looked absolutely terrible. They were a totally different arrangement from what is advertised on the website, the leaves were dry and dying, the petals were falling off, and the card that I wanted to add to the order was instead reduced to a plain, folded piece of paper with my words typed onto it and attached to the bouquet by a plastic clip. My sister entrusted me specifically what kind of flowers she wanted on her funeral, and seeing what was delivered was the most embarrassing thing I have ever experienced, and I cried more seeing such an ugly, unprofessional arrangement because I was filled with regret and guilt for how awful it turned out.

    I paid $191.79 for this plus tax, but it looks like flowers collected from a grave and stuck together with a cheap looking ribbon on top. It looks like a terrible, sloppy arts and crafts project that was thrown together in under a minute. I have no idea what the people carrying out this order were thinking, but they must be heartless to have allowed such an inappropriate display to be sent for a final departure, and I don't want anyone else to be scammed the way I was. I can never forgive myself for these flowers being under my name when they were presented at the funeral. These flowers are a nightmare and I can't believe they charged me almost $200 for such a horrible, horrible, horrible arrangement.

    My heart aches every time I think about it, that I presented such a terrible arrangement like that in front of my whole family. Everyone trusted me to present a beautiful arrangement in honor of my sister, and I disappointed them all with this flowers. How dare they do this to someone who just lost a loved one. Please do yourself a favor, please do not order from Ava's Flowers if you don't want to end up the way I did, with regret and guilt for the rest of my life.

    I paid $100 a week in advance so I could be confident in delivery for an anniversary. My order was never delivered, and after being told it would be delivered on two separate occasions I was left dry. Their call line never works, and I have been trying to get a refund sending them multiple messages via email and FB message and still haven't heard.     Covid has caused us to be denied travel to see a loved one while they are in hospice. So I searched for a local florist where our loved one is and Avas Flowers https://www.avasflowers.net came up. We spend more than $100 with them. Spoke with them on the phone bout the health situation of our loved one and the urgency we were expecting and happy to pay extra for same-day delivery. Flowers were never received! BEWARE.     11/9 called, explained our need and urgency for their services, sending flowers to our very sick loved one. We were told we'd receive two emails:

    It was my Sister's birthday yesterday 11/3/2020 and we live in different states so I researched online for her local florists. Avas flowers popped up. My Sister's favorite color is blue so I ordered an arrangement with that color. I called personally to confirm it would be exactly as shown in website and was as assured of it. The flowers that came were absolutely not as described or pictured on their site. After calling to complain I've received an email saying they think I should be satisfied with what they sent and no further action on their part should be expected. The flowers sent can be purchased from any grocery store cooler for much less than I paid. They advertised free delivery but tossed in a service fee higher than any normal delivery fee would have been. Do not trust or believe anything they promise especially if you want flowers for a special occasion. Not reputable company at all.

    Take the negative reviews of Avas Flowers VERY serious. The pictures depicted online are NOT what you will receive even if you pay extra for an upgrade. They are extremely hard to contact to try to resolve a problem and they certainly don't offer refunds. They DO NOT live up to their own Satisfaction Guarantee.     I contacted Avas flowers this morning to deliver flowers same day. They took my order and payment and said delivery would be today. A couple of hours later they call back and say they can't get the exact flowers. I ask if they could do a similar arrangement and they said yes they would do a nice arrangement and deliver same day. I get another phone call hours later from them and they say they cannot deliver today at all and that they could deliver on Monday. I tell them no, that is unacceptable, that her birthday is today, not Monday and that if they could not deliver today they should never have taken my order and wasted my entire day. If they had been honest up front, I would have had time to call another florist and gotten a reputable florist to deliver today. They would not give me the managers name and hung up on me. Very unprofessional and they lied.
