    My mother died right before Christmas and I needed flowers for her funeral on Dec. 26th. No one local would be open and they were pretty much out of flowers anyway so I was happy when Ava's said they could deliver a large spray on Saturday Dec. 26th. I happened to look at the tracking on Dec. 24 and it said the delivery would be on Dec. 29. Not acceptable and I got NO communication that there was a problem. You'd think they would know if FUNERAL arrangements were delayed that they would TELL YOU. I was able to find a florist 30 min. away and I had to go pick up the flowers the morning of my mom's funeral. Not a great turn of events. This florist said never go to internet sites with no address, they just farm out the flowers anyway. Lesson learned! I would recommend everyone STAY CLEAR of Ava's Flowers!

    Not a florist, just a reseller that adds a premium to all orders. Neither pricing nor service is good here. Ordered on Saturday for same day delivery. It was assured on the phone by a staffer. "No problem, it will be there early afternoon." When I checked on the order on Sunday, I got a recording saying that it would be delivered on TUESDAY, or FOUR DAYS LATER! Screw that, I cancelled the order, and if my refund isn't timely, I will be visiting the BBB and dozens of other consumer advocates. Do yourself a favor and visit any other florist besides this one.

    I ordered a Bushel of Berries Bouquet for a friend on 12/21/20. I was assured by phone and on the invoice they would be delivered or before that date. On 12/24 I received a notice that they would be delivered on 12/29. Tried to cancel order but was referred to their fine print about no guarantees during holidays. The "bouquet" was delivered 12/29 6:30p. My friend sent me a photo; the arrangement was appalling. Instead of a lovely red vase of St. John's Wort with bright red berries and a lovely bow, she received a clear vase with a bunch of evergreen leaves, three wilting red carnations, and a sad excuse for a bow. I wish I could attach photos so you could see just how bad it was. Embarrassing. It took me a few days to complain to Avas and when I did I was told I waited too long. It really was the worst excuse for a bouquet I have ever seen, let alone delivered 4 days late. Never again.

    I ordered a teddy bear and balloons to be delivered to a children's hospital on Saturday, I explicitly explained that the patient will be checked out on Monday. I was guaranteed it will be delivered on Saturday; however, they delivered it on Monday after the patient checked out to the hospital and left it in the reception. The patient never received the package and when I asked for my refund I was put on hold for over an hour and got disconnected afterwards, without talking to anyone. I have never got the package nor my money. I would advice anyone who is trying use this company, please stay away from them!

    I sent these flowers as a birthday gift and I am embarrassed at the quality. They cost $100 (plus), look spindly, a little wilted, upon arrival, the basket was leaking, they arrived late, the picture showed 3 balloons, there was one small one, there was nothing saying who the flowers were from. Ugh! NEVER ordering from Ava’s Flowers again!

    I called this company to ensure they were local and could fulfil a very special order. THey confirmed (lied). Flowers were to be delivered on Monday...they called mid day to say they need my approval to replace pink roses with red...I said OK. They called me later to say they couldn't deliver that day (pretty much ruined the reason for the order in the first place). I agreed to delivery on Tuesday. On Tuesday mid day they called and said the truck broke down and couldn't deliver. I tried to cancel but they wouldn't agree, so the flowers were shipped via UPS from Kentucky (delivery to Florida) so obviously they weren't the local company I thought I was purchasing from. $80 order was a 4 stems that you can buy at 7-11 for $4.99. I was so embarrassed when I got a picture of the delivery. DON'T BE SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY.

    I ordered sympathy plant in Jan 4, 2021 today is Jan 6, 2021 still not delivered. If I had known there’s no actual Avas in Auburn AL, I would had never ordered but the Rep lied to me and said they are located in Auburn. I specifically asked that question. After 4 calls to this company which is not in the US I was placed on hold today for 35 min (Carl). Totally ignored. While on hold I called back on a different phone and spoke to a girl named George. These are all fake names. My other phone got disconnected after 35 minutes while I was talking on husband's phone. I told George the problem and if the arrangement isn’t delivered today I’ll want a full refund and no charge for canceling.

    This company needs to be investigated stealing money and not delivering goods. I asked who are they actually using in Auburn and she said Avas again. I told her that’s a lie because there is no Avas. She refused to give me a name of a floral company they are in cahoots with. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I will follow up later today and if not delivered I’m going to dispute charges with my bank and pursue refund. I will also report to the BBB which I’m highly doubting they have no good ratings.

    I ordered a bouquet of flowers on website called, "my sun, moon and stars". Beautiful white lilies, yellow roses and small purple flowers, green foliage, in a cobalt blue vase, as shown in website photo. What was delivered was an ugly, sad looking small yellow roses, pink carnations, yellow foliage in clear vase with orange bow. Absolutely awful. I emailed and stated please cancel order if not as shown in picture! I wish I could share the comparison photos! Very disappointing!

    I ordered two Large flower centerpieces with candles to be sent to some friends in the US. One did not receive it until 10 days late and it was not what I ordered at all. It was a pathetic bunch of half dead flowers you would get from a cast off from Safeway. The other was also late and not what I ordered. I asked for a refund and they are sending me back $25 from a cost of over $200. NEVER use them again!!

    I ordered balloons along with a stuffed animal for my grandson's birthday and paid a rush order fee for it to be delivered on time. That did not happen. I was not notified by Ava's Flowers that the delivery was not going to take place. My daughter-in-law knew it was going to happen and notified at 6:30 that evening that they had not arrived. I contacted the florist to see what had happened. I was unable to reach them at this time. I tried to contact them the next day. When I finally got through to them midday, there was no apology, no explanation, nothing. They did not offer to refund the rush order fee. They tried to contact the designer but were unable to do so. The lady on the phone said she would create an open ticket. I had to request that she refund my rush order fee. She could not tell me when the balloons would be delivered.

    The following day they had still not arrived so I called again to check the status of my order. Again I was told the designer could not be contacted, this was after I had been on hold for 27 minutes. I told her they either needed to have more than one designer or find another one as this was bad business for them. She gave some excuse about the team trying to figure out what was going on and said she would call me back later that evening. I asked if when she called me back would she know when the delivery would occur, she assured me that she would, I made her tell me a time she would call.

    I did receive her call at 7:30 pm. She stated they would be able to deliver the "flowers" I had ordered the following day, Unfortunately they were not the exact ones I had ordered, they were going to make some substitutions. Flowers? I had not ordered flowers! I told her clearly I had ordered Happy Birthday balloons and a teddy bear for my 6-year-old grandson, NOT flowers! She placed me on hold for 10 minutes, came back and said unfortunately they did not have a designer that was going to be able to fulfill this order. Seriously? This is the exact same lady I had talked with earlier in the day who assured me when she called me back she would be able to tell me when these BALLOONS would be delivered to my grandson. And now she's telling me they don't have a designer that can fulfill the order?

    Ava's Florist advertises that they are the number one florist in the country, delivering to over 49 states, etc. I find that hard to believe. I had to tell my 6-year-old grandson that I really did get him balloons and a teddy bear but the florist is the one that messed it up. I had to look at his sweet little face and promise him that I really will send him something and that it will get there! Ava's Florist, I will never forget what you did to this precious little boy and I intend to let all of my friends know as well. You don't deserve to be the number one florist, not even the number 100. You don't treat people like this. Very poor customer service. You didn't even offer any kind of compensation for YOUR mistake. Shame on you for disappointing an innocent little boy.

    Very disappointed. Their site is a lie. They are not a local florist--if you look at the fine print at the bottom, it says they're from Delaware. However, when I tried reporting them through BBB, there were 5 different addresses (same phone), and the company with their stated address is called "Flower Tech, Inc." They didn't deliver what I ordered (1/2 the flowers pictured), and they delivered it 4 days late with no explanation, no apology. I didn't get what I'd paid for, and my parents got a late Christmas gift. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I left a negative review, but they only post made up 5 star reviews. I should've not trusted the site, and looked up company reviews. All I've found is negative. Someone needs to get them out of business so more people aren't taken advantage of. Shame on you Avas Flowers, or whoever you are.

    This company is just a con, not a florist. When you order, your credit card will be charged immediately. Then you will get an email that there is a "problem" with your order. This can't be delivered, that can't be delivered. The flowers will be different, but comparable. Refunds will be promised. They will never arrive. They will charge you $150 for roses then deliver $20 worth of tulips. Customer service will experience "connection problems", they will "accidentally" drop your call. They may eventually agree to only charge $140 for the crappy tulips, but that $10 refund will never appear.

    I REALLY WISH THAT I READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING!!! The one star overall rating is totally accurate. Over four days late on delivery date promise. I had to call several times and each time I was placed on hold for upwards of 20 minutes. Things were marked as delivered that were not delivered. Genuinely don't know how these people are still in business.

First the tracking they offer is not real, they don’t respond whether or not delivery actually took place.     I placed an order for a bouquet to be delivered to a critically ill relative who has been through a lot in the last 2 months with a special message for the card. When the flowers were delivered to my relative, they were delivered with a card with a different message (inappropriate for his situation) from someone else. In addition, I called to see what they could do for me and was on hold for nearly an hour before I was automatically disconnected.     I ordered a birthday gift basket that was delivered a day late, listed as "Sympathy Basket"....(wouldn't you just love to get THAT for your birthday??!!) without the chocolate covered pretzels promised. I was charged a huge delivery fee (25% of cost of basket) despite their "free delivery" posting.     I called them on the phone. I ordered fifty red roses for an anniversary. Specified a red vase, with a white bow and an afternoon delivery. For $350 you would expect them to come close. I got a cheap clear vase, a bow that looked like a high school boy tied it and they delivered the flowers in the morning when the recipient wasn't even home. When I called to complain they insulted me with a five dollar refund. A 50th wedding anniversary only comes once and Avas Flowers screwed up the order.

    Ordered a large standing funeral spray for my sister’s funeral in Hawaii 4 days in advance thinking Ava’s Flowers was a local florist. Two days before the funeral, I received 2 emails saying they had called me several times but no answer which was a lie. Told because of Covid, flowers could not be delivered to the mortuary and I instructed them to deliver instead to the house. Was told the flowers were in the van on the way to the house but delivery was never made. The day before the funeral I received an urgent email saying to contact them.

    Was told an alternate arrangement was made and was en route to be delivered. When asked why I wasn’t consulted beforehand, no answer was given. When asked what the “alternate” floral arrangement was, I was told they don’t know. When told the flowers were en route for delivery, the driver couldn’t be located. Upset at the changes in my order, I spoke to the manager. I was told NO FLOWERS ARE BEING DELIVERED BECAUSE THE ARRANGEMENT WAS NEVER MADE and they didn’t have a floral designer to do the job. There were no flowers at my sister’s funeral from us and nothing but excuse after excuse. We were inconsolable knowing there’d be no flowers from us and it was too late to order a large arrangement elsewhere.

    I ordered a product called a Holiday Flower Tree, a beautiful arrangement of flowers shaped like a Christmas tree, for a total cost of $121.93. Instead, they delivered a small Dwarf Alberta Spruce with a small box of bulbs to put on the tree. If I wanted a tree like this I could buy it for less than 20 bucks from Lowe's. They refused to deliver the correct product and also refused to pick up the wrong product and credit my account. Instead, they offered me a $10.00 discount! Really! I even offered to deliver the spruce back to them! Now they don't write or call. I submitted a claim through the Attorney Generals Office. I just can't let them steal over one hundred dollars from me!

    My good friend's husband passed away suddenly 2 months ago. I sent her flowers for her birthday. I wanted them extra special and indicated that. I chose the medium size arrangement that was more expensive. Avas called and texted numerous times to tell me they could not deliver them on the day I wanted, but could deliver them 2 days before. I agreed. They made sure to tell me that the flower arrangement would be "even better" than I had ordered. My friend sent me a picture of the arrangement she received. I was totally embarrassed and livid! I ordered a multi color arrangement with purples, reds, oranges, etc. What she received literally looked worse than a grocery store bouquet! It looked like they had been picked and arranged by a child! It was a dozen white daisies and two..yes TWO red carnations.

    I paid $66 with all of their fees. I called immediately after they were delivered and was back and forth with someone there. He said they could not deliver another bouquet, but he could offer me a $15 store credit!!! I said, "what the heck am I supposed to do with that?" I kept pushing for more since I was so upset. He finally said he could give me 30%. So I would get a whopping store credit total of $19!! I demanded to speak to a manager or supervisor. He kept putting me on hold saying the manager was on the other line. Then said he was transferring me and I was on hold for 5 minutes and then disconnected. I was on the phone for 45 minutes!

    I have since sent an email with pictures and details with no response and I have sent a message through Facebook that I can see they looked at with no response. If you look them up on Facebook there is an actual Facebook site for people that have been scammed by them. They have been reported to the BBB and nothing has been done about them. Stay far away from this company!

    The arrangement of flowers I ordered from Avas Flowers are listed as $39.99. With the free shipping code I ended up being charged $72.99. The "arrangement" was NOTHING like the beautiful picture. It was a few sad flowers and green. I've had better $10 Walmart bundles. I've called Avas twice and left two website requests for resolve. No feedback from them at all. I reported it within minutes of the receipt. The call center person says they have to get with the designer and will let me know. Over 3 days later they are still ghosting me.

    This is top 3 worst is experience in my life with customer service. They claim flowers were delivered at my home and never were. I called to make the claim and 4 days later they still have not talked to me. I attempted to reach them 7 TIMES, still not about to get my issue resolved. These flowers were for my anniversary, what an embarrassing experience and I will never order from them again. Still fighting to get my money back. Anytime the call seems to go anywhere the call gets disconnected! Getting to someone is another issue. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere cause as it seems I’m not the first to be dealing with this. Hopefully I don’t have to file a claim for fraud on this company and this can just get resolved already.

    Avas Flowers positions as a local florist when you enter a city and search for Flowers. I thought it was a 30 year family operated business in a town my Cousin lives in. tried to send birthday flowers 3 days later still not delivered. Staff is not able to communicate effectively. Stock answers off a script. Multiple attempts to get resolution, long wait on hold multiple times. This appears to me to be a scam which uses local city searches for florist and comes up like it's in the city you want to send in. I saw nothing but negative online reviews about Avas. Please do not utilize this company. I've now spent over $100 but maybe more importantly hours online and on phone trying to rectify a simple floral delivery. I have never encountered a worse operation and staff. Don't take my word for it, go online and look at reviews... Nearly everyone is an equally awful experience.

    On Wednesday, December 9, 2020 I ordered 2 bouquets of flowers to be delivered together, December 11, 2020 to my twin 11-year-old nieces. This has been a difficult year and it was especially important that the florist follow my instructions. To clearly communicate, I called to make the order, speaking with customer service representative Carlos I gave order and delivery instructions. Carlos assured me he would “personally” make sure the order was completed correctly and he would choose the freshest flowers. The most important concern I have was that the bouquets be delivered at the same time so that neither twin would feel slighted.

    On Thursday, December 10th (a day early but acceptable) I received a call from one of the twins, Mallory, thanking me for the flowers. Her mother told me that only ONE twin received her bouquet. I immediately called AVAS Flowers expressing my concern and frustration about the process and asking for confirmation when the second delivery would be completed. I asked to speak with a supervisor (I did not get his name) and he told me he would investigate the matter and call me back. I never got a call back.

    On Friday, December 11 I received 2 text messages confirming that BOTH bouquets order numbers ** and ** had been delivered. I called my niece who confirmed that the second bouquet NEVER arrived. I again called AVAS Flowers and was told by the next customer service representative that he would investigate the matter and call me back. I still have not received a call from AVAS Flowers.

    This is a company you definitely DO NOT want to do business with. This is what happened... I ordered a fruit basket in the morning for delivery on the same day (Thu) and paid extra for rush delivery. They contacted me and told me they couldn't deliver it that day and they would deliver it the next day (Fri). Never happened. If I hadn't tracked it myself I would not have known they didn't deliver it. Their support website, "Where's My Stuff" responded with, "We understand this matter is very important to you. We will get back to you as soon as possible with a resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience." Never happened. They never got back to me.

    I had to call them on Friday where they told me the same thing they told me on Thu, "We'll deliver it tomorrow". When I asked to speak with a supervisor, they put me on hold for over 10 minutes, said they were transferring to a supervisor, and then ... I'm back in the phone support queue. What a monumental waste of time. Utter incompetence.

    I was looking for a flower arrangement for my sister's partner of 10 + years that passed which I considered a brother in law and loved very dearly. The arrangements was supposed to be a large basket on a stand with white roses, lilies and yellow roses and assorted yellow flowers with yellow and black ribbons on it. Instead I received a medium yellow and pink arrangements without the stand and one yellow ribbon attached. I called the company to let them know I was not satisfied with the flowers and it was and eye sore at the funeral and I paid 150 dollars for this arrangement that I never ordered and wasn't pleased. The rep told me to hold for over 30 mins and told me she could give me 20 dollars refund. I was so disappointed I had tears in my eyes. I explained that this was for a family member that had died and this was unacceptable but she said that was all she could do. Needless to say I will never use this company ever again.

    My husband called them to place an order while he was driving. The rep described a "full" rose bundle that was just 3 roses, baby's breath and a bunch of leaves. They also do "free" delivery to avoid reimbursing you when the flowers are late. Huge service fee. Stay away from this company.

    I placed an order for flowers to be delivered to a sister in another state. Explained the occasion and described what I wanted since a a picture was not available on the website. The agent even made suggestions. I selected the top grade because I wanted it to be nice. Told it would be delivered that day. I was never able to track the delivery and their phone system is a disaster. You will never speak with anyone without an accent. Charged $5 for a bow and $5 for a card to say who it was from. No delivery charge but a $20 service fee. Still attempting to resolve the issue.

    I ordered a bright red very full poinsettia with white carnations and additional greenery, wrapped in silver foil with a white ribbon. My sister received the muted red poinsettia with maybe five blooms, no additional white flowers or bow. The agent sent me a copy of their order which included what was to be on the card and it did not use upper and lower case lettering except for one name. Delivery was made after dark after my repeated attempts to track delivery. I have sent them a picture of the flowers and the receipt I received with the description. I am working with them in an attempt to resolve the issue. No way am I paying over a $100 for what was delivered. I have ask my credit card company to withhold payment until this is resolved. Please be smart and look at reviews before ordering.

    I was look to send flowers to my daughter in the hospital on Sunday. Avas' website said they could do this. Avas quoted me for the flowers and delivery charge. I gave them my charge card numbers then they said they also charge a $19 service charge. And that all florists in Florida did this. I called other florists in Florida and Avas lied to me. The other florists do not charge a service fee. I immediately cancelled with Avas. And ordered with another company. Avas delivered thru a different florist 3 days later and charged me even though I cancelled with them! $86.27. They sent me no confirming data/email. I had to dispute with my charge company. At first my company charged me because Avas had false documentation. And I had none. My company finally gave my money back. DO NOT deal with this disreputable company.

    I ordered a fruit basket for my adult grandson today through Avas Flowers. There was a nice Deluxe Fruit Arrangement that I was told would be delivered later in the day. They substituted a flower arrangement without notifying me of the change. That was an unacceptable substitution and when I called to complain they said that they could not do anything because they had already been delivered.     I had ordered a gourmet basket for a co-worker. When I called, I spoke to someone and they took down my order. I then received confirmation email of my order and I had seen where they charged a $19.99 service charge. An hour later, I received another email about a survey, which I didn't fill out, then about another hour later, I received an email stating that they could not provide me with my order and wanted me to pick 1 of 3 choices instead. I did not want to send a bouquet of flowers. This gets better, I get another email 30 minutes later stating that the delivery was on its way. Well, by this time I was so confused. I tried calling them and figured out that I was speaking to just an answering service, not the actual flower shop. No one ever picked up phone.

    I received a call this morning on my cell telling me that there was an issue with my order and for me to call back. Keep in mind that they didn't leave me a phone number to call them back. So, I dialed from the number on my cell. Phone number not in service. I finally called Avas and pushed all these number to get to speak to someone live. They tried to bribe me with discounts for future orders...NOT HAPPENING.. Cancelled my order. DO NOT USE THIS FLOWER SHOP...

    P.S. I worked in the flower business for over 17 years, and I was truly disgusted on how they fool people. Where do they get off charging $19.99 for a service charge..

Initially I was placed on hold, then after 30 minutes, tried calling again. Call went directly to hold. Fast forward to 11/21. Contacted customer service requesting a refund or redelivery of flowers as it was their error. They would not do either of my requests. They gave me $35 credit off my order.     I ordered these flowers for my sister's funeral as per her request before she passed, but they looked absolutely terrible. They were a totally different arrangement from what is advertised on the website, the leaves were dry and dying, the petals were falling off, and the card that I wanted to add to the order was instead reduced to a plain, folded piece of paper with my words typed onto it and attached to the bouquet by a plastic clip. My sister entrusted me specifically what kind of flowers she wanted on her funeral, and seeing what was delivered was the most embarrassing thing I have ever experienced, and I cried more seeing such an ugly, unprofessional arrangement because I was filled with regret and guilt for how awful it turned out.

    I paid $191.79 for this plus tax, but it looks like flowers collected from a grave and stuck together with a cheap looking ribbon on top. It looks like a terrible, sloppy arts and crafts project that was thrown together in under a minute. I have no idea what the people carrying out this order were thinking, but they must be heartless to have allowed such an inappropriate display to be sent for a final departure, and I don't want anyone else to be scammed the way I was. I can never forgive myself for these flowers being under my name when they were presented at the funeral. These flowers are a nightmare and I can't believe they charged me almost $200 for such a horrible, horrible, horrible arrangement.

    My heart aches every time I think about it, that I presented such a terrible arrangement like that in front of my whole family. Everyone trusted me to present a beautiful arrangement in honor of my sister, and I disappointed them all with this flowers. How dare they do this to someone who just lost a loved one.     I paid $100 a week in advance so I could be confident in delivery for an anniversary. My order was never delivered, and after being told it would be delivered on two separate occasions I was left dry. Their call line never works, and I have been trying to get a refund sending them multiple messages via email and FB message and still haven't heard.     Covid has caused us to be denied travel to see a loved one while they are in hospice. So I searched for a local florist where our loved one is and Avas Flowers https://www.avasflowers.net came up. We spend more than $100 with them. Spoke with them on the phone bout the health situation of our loved one and the urgency we were expecting and happy to pay extra for same-day delivery. Flowers were never received! BEWARE. Please don't waste your time or hard-earned $ with Avas Flowers!

    11/9 called, explained our need and urgency for their services, sending flowers to our very sick loved one. We were told we'd receive two emails:

    It was my Sister's birthday yesterday 11/3/2020 and we live in different states so I researched online for her local florists. Avas flowers popped up. My Sister's favorite color is blue so I ordered an arrangement with that color. I called personally to confirm it would be exactly as shown in website and was as assured of it. The flowers that came were absolutely not as described or pictured on their site. After calling to complain I've received an email saying they think I should be satisfied with what they sent and no further action on their part should be expected. The flowers sent can be purchased from any grocery store cooler for much less than I paid. They advertised free delivery but tossed in a service fee higher than any normal delivery fee would have been. Do not trust or believe anything they promise especially if you want flowers for a special occasion. Not reputable company at all.

So after much research, I found a customer service number to call. They apologized and said it would be resolved and send out the order that day. Again, the order did not show. I called Avas again.     I ordered on Friday 10/16 for my mother in-law's birthday on 10/21. I received an email on 10/21 asking to please give them a call. I called the 800 number provided an waited on hold for 10 minutes. Once someone answered it was a gentleman telling me the company did not have fresh flowers and could not make the delivery today, seriously! I explained the situation, it's a birthday for my mother in law who was just widowed a few months earlier, no care in the world, didn't even offer a sorry.     I contacted Avas flowers this morning to deliver flowers same day. They took my order and payment and said delivery would be today. A couple of hours later they call back and say they can't get the exact flowers. I ask if they could do a similar arrangement and they said yes they would do a nice arrangement and deliver same day. I get another phone call hours later from them and they say they cannot deliver today at all and that they could deliver on Monday. I tell them no, that is unacceptable, that her birthday is today, not Monday and that if they could not deliver today they should never have taken my order and wasted my entire day. If they had been honest up front, I would have had time to call another florist and gotten a reputable florist to deliver today. They would not give me the managers name and hung up on me.     The Following Relates to my dispute of the Avas Flowers $88.42. I ordered the flowers online the morning of September 24, 2020. I specified on the order in the Special Instructions box that the delivery person should ring the doorbell (since the delivery destination was in inner city Philadelphia in a high crime area). I arranged for someone to be standing by at the house awaiting the delivery. The delivery was scheduled for Friday, September 25. I received an e-mail at 3:48 p.m. on Friday the 25th stating the flowers had been delivered. On Monday, September 28, my wife called the recipient to ask how she liked the flowers and she was informed that she had not received them.

    I immediately called Avas Flowers and spent the better part of an hour and a half attempting to resolve the issue. After being put on hold numerous times I was informed by the customer service representative that the flowers had been delivered and that the florist had a photo of the delivery on the doorstep. The rep said the problem was mine. I assumed that the flowers had been stolen. Had I not specifically instructed the company to ring the doorbell upon delivery and had I not arranged for someone to be there to accept the flowers, I would have accepted that the fault was mine. However, having specifically asked on the order form under Special Instructions the the doorbell be rung at the time of delivery. Thus, I believe the responsibility lies with the florist. (By the way, when the service rep looked up my order he confirmed that I had indeed left those specific instructions.

    As compensation, Avas Flowers offered me $10 in compensation. I then explained to a second rep that I would accept only a full refund or delivery of the flowers -- their choice. I was again offered $10 in compensation and I informed her that that I intended to dispute the charge with my credit card company. At that point, I was thanked and she ended the call.

    A day later I received an e-mail that indicated the flowers had not been delivered. (See following): ”Thank you for choosing Avas Flowers for your floral needs. Due to the seasonality and availability of the flowers, the exact blooms for the arrangement you ordered are unfortunately currently unavailable and we were unable to complete the delivery on the requested day. We have secured delivery for you on 09/29/2020 with on of the top designers to ensure Dorothy is delighted with their arrangement. We are issuing you $15 in store credit (points) that will be associated with your email for this inconvenience. You will be able to use these points to send flowers anywhere in the US within the next year.

    If you’d like to discuss further, please give us a call at 877-638-6619 or reply to this email at your earliest convenience. Please have your order number handy so that we may better assist you. Your order number is **. Thank you, Sincerely, As we try to keep our staff safe with social distancing measures during this health crisis, this has caused us to have a limited Customer Support Staff. Response times may take longer than normal. We apologize for any inconvenience. Avas Flowers Customer Support www.AvasFlowers.Net" Guess what. I again arranged for someone to be standing by to receive the flowers since the recipient was bedridden. The second promised delivery was not made. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company.

    Days later, I received the following email from AVAS. “A refund in the amount of $30.47 has been issued. It may take your bank up to 10 days to process this refund. We apologize for any inconvenience Sincerely, Avas Flowers Customer Support Click on one of the green tabs below for further assistance!” Since I cannot bear any more dealings with the incompetency and rudeness from AVAS, I guess I am out fifty bucks. Worse than losing the money was having to endure numerous calls with customer service reps who had no power to resolve the issue and the fact the company refused to take responsibility for what were obviously their errors.     We ordered flowers for a friend who just had surgery on September 29, 2020 for delivery on October 1, 2020. Avas took the order, charged our credit card, confirmed the order and delivery date and then on October 2, 2020 sent us an email that delivery will be on October 3, 2020. OK we thought, better late than not knowing. On October 3rd, nothing was delivered. On October 4 we contacted Avas and was told that there had been a delivery glitch and that the order, enhanced this time because of their error, will be delivered on October 5, which it was but with half of the flowers wilted and dying.

    The UPS tracking of these flowers showed that they left Miami on the 5th, through Dallas and Little Rock before ending up in Tulsa the morning of the 5th. Delivery was on the 5th around 7PM. All I can say is had this been for a wedding or funeral or other more important event, the delivery would have been useless and money wasted. DO NOT EVER USE AVAS FLOWERS - EVER - THEY ARE HORRIBLE.

    I ordered my aunt some flowers to cheer her up after she lost a pet. They didn't have what I originally ordered, so they did upgrade to more flowers (instead of 3 roses, they sent a dozen). They were supposed to be delivered last Friday, but I was told they couldn't be delivered until Tuesday. The flowers arrived, but not the $17.99 stuffed animal that was supposed to be the "comforting" part of the gift. I filed a missing item report with the company, to which I get a poorly coded email (the code actually shows, and I had to search through it to find the actual message) that simply refunded the money.     First of all, they don't offer dimensions for the various product sizes, so you're already taking a gamble. I bought this for my mom's birthday and felt completely embarrassed when she received it. The "medium" size is extremely small. Maybe 5 inches tall from the base of the container (which was not a pot, but a small clear square) to the tallest flower. It was absolutely not "as shown". It was a pathetic looking little plant with a couple of flowers. I would've paid maybe $25 for what they actually delivered. Certainly not $67. Yes, $67, there's a surprise $20 service fee at the very end of the check-out process. Extremely disappointed and don't recommend this company at all.

I spent an hour and a half trying to get an answer to where my order was. The order was suppose to be delivered by 12 noon on Thursday as per their email. When trying to get an answer, I had to call 8 times and then I kept being transferred to a phone where no one knew anything about my order.

    They left me on hold many times thinking I would go away. When the flowers arrived, they were dry looking of poor quality, skimpy and in bad shape and no way was worth $80.00. $17.00 service fee, plus $10 for delivery is outrageous. In these days and times no one needs to be taken advantage of. They have many complaints filed with the BBB reviews from other customers state total dissatisfaction as well. Please don't be taken advantage of. I wish I would have checked the reviews before ordering. You work hard for your money and do not need to be scammed.

    I was charged for a medium bouquet of flowers, which I ordered, but a small was delivered. I was most disappointed as the recipient is a recent cancer survivor and after a rough year, this birthday was very special. The flowers that were delivered were pretty, but very scant. My invoice showed the proper size, but the delivery showed that a small was delivered. I paid 70.00 for a larger bouquet. I told them I could provide a picture of both the invoice and the delivery ticket.

    I have many times used Avas Flowers at different places around the country as I have many family members living in other cities. I have never been disappointed until now, especially since the recipient of this order was a recent cancer survivor and had a very rough year and was celebrating this birthday as a milestone to just being here. When I talked with their customer service, she was going to call the florist that was used. Their answer was that their substitution was within their guidelines?? To be fair I gave them one star as the dinky bouquet of flowers that were delivered were pretty. I am extremely disappointed and will never be using their services again.

    I ordered flowers to be delivered to my sister on 9/16/20. The flowers were wilted. I’ve called back several times, even though it takes an hour to talk to someone. I was promised a new delivery and it never happened. Yesterday they told me that flowers would be delivered today. Never happened. Called them again and now they say they will be delivered tomorrow!     After Ava's Flowers made a huge mistake and didn't deliver my order placed weeks in advance, I experienced the worst customer care I've encountered in years. Facts are, I ordered an arrangement on Sept 8 to deliver on Sept 21 (daisies for my mother-in-law - her favorite flower). At 5 pm on Sept 21, they still hadn't delivered, despite the automated system telling me the delivery was indeed scheduled for that day. When I called, the representative told me they were out of daisies, so could not deliver anything on that day. I also had not received any notification/phone call letting me know they were out of daisies. They had weeks to contact me so that I could cancel my order and go with a florist that did have what I needed. But they did not contact me at all.

    They had already charged the $74+ for the delivery that they couldn't make, and at this point all that could be done was they could send either 2 dozen red roses, a poinsettia plant or an orchid to her the day after her birthday. After spending over 40 minutes on hold with the first representative, she "accidentally" hung up on me, I called back 2 more times and was "transferred" to someone who also hung up me, finally called back a 3rd time, and (1.5 hrs after my initial call) the representative said best they could do was send one of those options on Sept 22, and refund me just $20, or cancel the order altogether for a refund. Absolutely absurd. Especially given they say this is a family-owned business of over 30 years, focused on customer care and have a "wide range" of products for delivery. An incredibly frustrating experience. Never again will I give them my business.

    I picked a floral arrangement that looked like it would be possible to duplicate pretty closely. The delivered arrangement was flowers but it was not "as similar as possible with the same look and feel." The friend to whom I sent the flowers made photos at my request. The ordered flowers included many small blooms with roses, carnations, asters and stock. There appeared to be a couple of rose blooms but no obvious carnations. There were several large mums and some Alstroemeria that ruined the "look and feel" of the arrangement. As guests at the birthday party said of the arrangement, "It is the thought that counts." That may be true but the "thought" cost nearly $100.

    Like another person purchasing flowers from Avas, I didn't check their reviews. Shame on me! Always do your due diligence. I was traveling and in a time crunch, but regardless the product and the entire experience was negative. I could have purchased a number of grocery store orchids, spent less and satisfied the receiver of the gift. I will not blame the customer service representatives for their role, they clearly were just phone answerers. I did get a $10.00 to use on another order (I spent $130.00+). No chance I will reorder from Avas. I believe they do not care one tiny bit if they satisfy a customer.

    I paid $80 for a simple 3 purple roses and some other purple flowers in a square purple vase with a balloon. All purple since that was the recipient's favorite color. What they sent in no way matched what I had chosen, however, they have such a overreaching substitution policy that they could have sent a fern and it would have been covered by their policy. They in no way tried to even come close to what I ordered. Please do not waste your money with this florist. There is no way to specify to them what the problem was with the order because they really don't care.

Not only did they not deliver the flowers, they won't even speak with my friend about it, just telling her to call back three times so far.     I ordered flowers for a friend's birthday. I gave very explicit instructions. I said no carnations (In our culture they are funeral flowers) and no Baker's fern. I paid over $80. In my area I would have gotten twice as many flowers for about $60. I would not have known what my friend received but she sent me a photo a couple of days after she received the flowers. Carnations predominated the bouquet. I called to complain because I also thought the flowers were overpriced. The flowers were to be delivered on a Thursday.

    After seeing the photo I called Ava's flowers. It is impossible to speak to a person without going through many prompts. The prompt that finally worked was "new orders"... Anyway I was passed to a lovely representative who checked with the "designer" and she was told that there was no mention of my request for no carnations nor my request for no Baker's fern. Blatant lies. She said too much time had passed and she could not provide a credit. Meanwhile only one business day had passed since my friend sent me the photo. Do not believe their advertising! This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

    Purchased 2 large sprays for $390 for my father's funeral. Fewer flowers in them than the medium size one, large areas of nothing but greenery. Missing the personalized banners, I had paid $10 each for. I tried to post a pic but couldn't get it to show up. This really can not be fixed. Funerals right now with COVID are sad enough. They pretend to be a local florist. This is what they did. They were on YELP and I was suspicious when the agent could not say Van Alstyne. So sad that there are so many really hateful people who care nothing about delivering a good product. This was for my father. It is beyond disappointing.

    The whole process was terrible from ordering that took over 30 minutes because the agent kept mixing up the cards and the sprays. He evidently didn't have red flowers because one of them was supposed to have red in it. This should not keep happening to people. Someone needs to shut them down. Do not buy here. Do not trust them. Ask where they are located. Ask them to itemize your bill. They overcharged me. I am very sad about this.

    I ordered what looked to be a beautiful funeral spray for my husband's aunt's funeral. The only thing acceptable about this entire order, was that they showed up on time. Not only did they forget the card. The flowers were completely underwhelming. I tried to get ahold of their customer service for 3 hours, and it kept telling me that I had to use the automated call back. I did the automated call back three times and never received a call back.

    I finally called to fake make an order just so that I could get a human on the phone. And all she could do for me, after another 20 minutes of waiting on hold was give me a $15 refund. The flowers cost $141 and looked more like they should have costed $60. She also told me that the reason the card didn't come is because they didn't charge me for it. First of all the guy who took down the information for the card never said anything about a charge which i would have paid and they just sent the flowers with no card making me look incompetent in front of my husband's family when the only ones who are incompetent are Avas flowers. NEVER AGAIN.

She said no so I said, "Okay I'm sure the flowers my brother picked for beautiful but sadly because of your incompetence I will not be able to enjoy my 70th flowers from him so just cancel the order, refund his money and I will let him know." I said, "This was really a bad experience. I've been dealing with you all week, calling you three four times a day, you calling me and nothing got resolved.     Avas came up on Google as a local florist in Windham, NY, but they aren't. I paid extra for fast delivery and they were over a day late. The arrangement came in a box with no vase, unlike the picture. Flowers were old and somewhat wilted. The flowers came by UPS in a box from 4 hours away. DON'T USE THEM. My sister, a florist in Texas, says they come up across the country as a local florist but aren't. BEWARE.

    I ordered online from Avas Flowers at 8am this morning. I entered the address it was to go to, as well as the time I needed it delivered by. I ordered a $200 Spray for my Aunt's Funeral. Paid an additional 15$ to expedite the service before 1pm today. Get a call from them at 12:45 pm saying they cannot find a florist to deliver before that time, and that they will send a smaller basket instead to the family, and give me a partial refund!! I don’t think so...

    First of all it is a spray. They are made for funeral services, I didn’t order a basket for the family. And I also didn’t receive anything from you, and you didn’t even call me in time for me to get at least a freaking plant from another florist to the funeral. Then the girl who called, told me it was my fault for ordering such a large spray last minute. Ummm come again?? You false advertised same day delivery and expedited service on this exact spray! So I’d say it really sounds more like false advertisement to me. Also now have to wait 5-7 days to have my money refunded to my card. Never order from these people. They are frauds.

    We ordered flowers for our Aunts funeral at noon on Saturday and was told they would be delivered that day or the next morning, for the Funeral on Monday. The flowers NEVER MADE IT! This is unacceptable and bad business practice. This can never be undone. I would not suggest using them even though they offer free delivery they charge you a service fee also charge you for the ribbon and the card unless you specify the free ones that go with it.     I was excited to come home to find a box of flowers on my porch. After opening it according to directions and putting the flowers in the vase, I took a photo of them to send with my thank you to the wonderful friend who'd sent them.     Had to give them one star just to get review published. In truth, they don't deserve anything but bankruptcy. I should have done deep due diligence on AVAS even though ordering flowers (never delivered despite multiple assurances and hours of waiting on the phone) for my wife's birthday. Turns out, every assurance I received was made up as the person on the phone could never reach the "designer." Moreover, any look online is littered with complaints. Better Business Bureau rated them "F". In fact, one online summary of AVAS states:

    "More than 1,400 complaints against the company have been filed with the BBB, which, as of November 2015, gave the florist an F rating. In April 2014, the BBB remarked upon a pattern of complaints: "Consumers have reported flower deliveries that arrived days late, dead, wilted, brown, falling apart. There have been reports of flowers not arriving after continued assurances they were on the way. Consumers have reported deliveries of flowers that were completely different from those ordered (type of flowers, vases, arrangements). Consumers have reported difficulties reaching Customer Service to try and resolve problems." Finally, there are many reports of difficulties retrieving payments for undelivered or dead flowers. Please do not make the mistake, I did! My bad!

    On Wednesday Aug 5th I ordered a Satin Cross with flowers for a funeral that was going to be held on Aug. 6th. The arrangement was to be delivered on the 5th to the funeral home. On Aug 6th I received an email to call the Avas Flowers. It took an hour to get through. They said the funeral was on Aug 7th. I told them they were wrong. They called the funeral home and confirmed the funeral was going on while we were on the phone. They offered me 33% off and would deliver to the home of the family that day.

    An hour later I get a call from Avas they don’t have the cross I picked out. I had to get a pillow instead. I needed the flowers delivered at this point so I agreed. The credit to my account was less than 20% of my order. I called to get this corrected and I waited over an hour, couldn’t get the issue resolved. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with her. She offered me a $20 credit to use with them. It was a $77 order. I told her I would never use them again. She went to listen to the tape and I was on hold another half hour. She came back and disconnected the call and hasn’t called back. This is by far the worst flower delivery I ever experienced. I would recommend them to no one!

    This is the worst florist I have ever dealt with. High pressure to "upgrade", which they didn't do. HIGH delivery Service Charge of thirty seven dollars just to deliver them "fresh".     * My credit card was charged and the flowers were never delivered. It was a hassle when I spoke to a customer support representative as I was put on hold for a very long time. I'm hoping that I actually get a refund.
    * Also, I was led to believe that the flowers would be ordered through a local distributor in the area where the flowers were being delivered. I found out that this was not the case.

    In hindsight, I wish that I would have looked up more reviews before ordering flowers for an employee recovering at home. Avas seemed to have a an almost 5-star rating but that had to be false. A local florist was not able to deliver for a few days so I decided to try Avas after an online search. The recipient never received the flowers and never did I receive an email confirming delivery. I called their customer service and FINALLY got a real person after going through their prompts and waiting. They said they had confirmation of receipt from the "designer" meaning florist. They would only re-deliver if they could retrieve the "delivered" bouquet and call the recipient. Made no sense. I have disputed the charge with the bank on the company credit card. I reordered from a local shop and they delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers and on time AND for half the cost. Don't waste your time and money on this company.

I placed an order thinking it was going to be delivered same day because that’s what it said and that’s what I paid for but when I received the invoice it said it was going to be delivered until the following day. So I cancelled online and when I didn’t receive anything from them that day, I called the following day and after going through their god awful phone system I was finally able to speak to someone and she said she was going to cancel it and someone would reach out to me to confirm and to process my refund. Instead of getting anything on that, I received an email saying that my flowers had been delivered instead.

    So I called yet again a few times because they either wouldn’t answer or they would drop the call after putting me on hold and after calling for the third time I finally got in touch with someone who said that there was nothing they could do because you can’t do cancellations online but again, I had already spoken to someone over the phone who said she would cancel it herself. So I got flowers delivered that I cancelled 2 hours after placing them because they failed to provide the correct date of delivery and then they were delivered either way and I didn’t get my refund because there was nothing they could do. Never use this flower shop. It’s simply despicable service.

    The flowers you order are not what is delivered. There was about 1/4 of the flowers in it that were in the picture and lesser quality/cost flowers, as well. They also put in hidden charges and it's almost impossible to figure out what you are being charged for. They don't deliver the day that they say they will either. Very poorly done and handled when I contacted them with my concerns. Please look elsewhere for online flower purchases.

    I ordered funeral flowers. Avas got this wrong from the start. When I received my invoice via email the person who died name was incorrect, my billing address was incorrect, the sympathy card message was incorrect. Numerous phone calls to try to correct. Worst of all they missed the delivery date commitment and didn’t deliver until next day. Worst customer service ever. Hung up on me numerous times while supposedly checking on late delivery.     While trying to send flowers from a local florist (Endicott Florist) Avas Flowers managed to slip their site in and I didn't notice it. Thinking I was dealing with Endicott Florist, a reputable business, I placed an order for a $44.95 arrangement at 12:16 PM and took advantage of their free delivery offer FREEDEL20. Imagine my surprise when I checked out to find my total was $64.95 with no itemized bill. I immediately canceled the order and received an email at 12:31 that a customer representative would be in touch with me shortly.

    At 3:40 PM I received an email that a ticket support number ** for order number ** had been opened for me and one of their customer service experts would reach me shortly. At 6:25 PM I received an email that my order had been successfully delivered. I checked my front porch and found it there. At 2:34 AM I received an email expressing their sorrow about any confusion regarding applicable taxes and fees. They indicate that during the checkout process a summary of order details appears which I'm still looking for.

    Not once do they reference the fact that I canceled the order within minutes of placing it. "Cancel" was an option on their website form and I included the order number as they requested. I mentioned this to my florist and was told they have heard this from numerous people. Obviously this company should be rated lower than one star, but that was the lowest option.

    I picked out a blue and white bouquet for my grandmother's birthday as those are her favorite colors. They called me on the day they were meant to deliver to let me know that they were out of stock of all flowers and could not deliver anything that would arrive on time. They offered to "upgrade" my floral arrangement and deliver the next day. I agreed, but then I read some reviews online and submitted a cancellation instead. They did not respond, and they delivered a dozen DEAD roses to my grandmother. I have submitted additional feedback and still have yet to hear from them.     I ordered two dozen pink roses for next day delivery from their website for my mother's 70th birthday. I was called the next morning to tell me they didn't have pink roses and they couldn't deliver them that day, but could get some from their farm and deliver the next day. They delivered 2 dozen orange and yellow roses that were left on the front deck in the heat without even ringing the bell to let my mom know they arrived. When she opened them, they were wilted and then they died two days later.

    Mom didn't tell me till day 5 after delivery. I immediately contacted customer service to let them know since their website states in multiple places in large font they have a 7 day freshness guarantee. That apparently only applies if you call within 24 hours of delivery to say your flowers will probably not last 7 days. I only wanted replacement flowers delivered. They refused even at the supervisor level. Even when I kept referring to the freshness guarantee, both the rep and supervisor kept reciting the policy. Infuriating. DO NOT BUY from them.

    DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! They delivered flowers to my daughter's house and she was not home. Left them on her porch. When I ordered the flowers it was supposed to be same day delivery. After I paid for the flowers the confirmation said next day delivery in small print! I tried to cancel the order on their website right away and was not able to. My daughter was leaving town the next day at 4:00 pm. Going out of town. It took me many tries to get a customer service rep on the phone, I kept getting a computer requesting a callback number. Left my callback number numerous times and never got a callback!

    When I finally got the person on the phone I explained I needed the flowers There by 4:00 before she left. The representative said he emailed the place delivering and gave that information. Said there should not be a problem. Well my daughter waited around until 5.00! No flowers. They did not get there until 5:45. Avas Flowers was aware that nobody would be home. Once the order was put in they refused to let me cancel. Customer service was HORRIBLE! Expensive flowers with extra charges left at a house where nobody would be home for 5 days! A robot demanding a callback number but no callback! Many hours wasted on the phone trying to get through! All the supervisor offered me was a store credit. I will not be ordering from this company ever again! BAD EXPERIENCE! BEWARE!!!

    They could not deliver what I ordered, and did not even ask me for 3 days if I wanted something different. When they finally did, (after 3 days of not delivering) they gave me two options that were not anything I would be proud to send (they shouldn't have been either!) I found them to be deceitful and purposefully frustrating when I tried to reach them via email or by phone. On the phone they explained the reasons I could not cancel, which were more untruths. They FINALLY did give me a credit (we'll see if that actually happens) but still kept some of the money for doing and delivering nothing. I was stuck on hold with them for better than 15 minutes. All in all a terrible experience. You would think in days of a pandemic when someone is trying desperately to help small businesses, they'd do their best to satisfy their customer.

    I used a customer service representative to help place my online order. She was very helpful and helped me order what I wanted. However, once I had selected the products, filled out the gift card, filled out the delivery address, included special instructions, reviewed the order amount, and put in my credit card information then they added an $20 fee at the very end. I consider this a deceptive and unethical practice. I will never do business with them again and I wish I had read the reviews before I started this order. Also, don't be deceived that this is local company. This is a company based out of New Jersey that wants you to think you are dealing with a local company. Again, deceptive and unethical.     I placed a order with Avas Flowers to deliver a bouquet to a dying relative. I thought they were a local florist. I was told on the phone that the $69. price included free delivery and that I would receive an invoice shortly by email. The invoice never arrived, my credit card statement later showed that I had been billed $103. After receiving the bill I looked a little deeper and understood that Avas flowers is not a florist but a company that contracts with others to provide a product. As far as I know, the local florist who ultimately delivered the flowers performed well. The lack of an invoice and the 50% mark-up over the price I was quoted tells me all I need to know about Avas business model. Never will I use them again.

    Avas Flowers gives horrible customer service. Even with a coupon my final bill for a $47.00 bouquet was $87.00 after fees and "upgrading" to the size bouquet that was pictured. Then they called and left a message saying they could not fill the order and needed my permission to substitute. When I tried to call they hung up on my twice. When I finally talked to someone to cancel the order she said she could not do that or refund my money. I asked to speak to someone who could do that. I was placed on hold for over an hour and they finally hung up again! I will NEVER use this company again and neither should you! To this point they have not refunded my money.     My arrangement was sent to my home address instead of the address that was place which was my father's in a different state. I called customer service to get this situation corrected and they told me there was nothing I could do because they sent it to the delivery address given. The actual delivery address on the email was different than my own, so they made an assumption and sent it to my billing address. It is bad enough that I'm grieving the loss of my Uncle who died unexpectedly from Covid, but now I have to deal with fact that the money I really could not afford to spend was wasted.     Place order on Monday for delivery on Tuesday for birthday and get well. Tuesday morning I go a call and text to call them it was urgent. The plant I ordered was not available. Told Jenny a Money tree was all I was interested in. She said she could have one to me on Wednesday by noon but could NOT be sent to hospital and could not include balloons. She said she would get me an immediate credit for the balloons plus a 10% discount which would come to $20. I said OK, but the plant had to be here by noon on Wednesday. I would get a text before the plant would be delivered. Wednesday noon, plant not here.

    I called Avas and talked to Carlos. He could not reach the delivery company. I told him to cancel my order. He said OK. I also went on line to the company website and canceled. After 3p the plant arrived. I have contacted the company 2 times to have them pick up the plant. All I get is an email that says my plant has arrived. Call on phone and cannot get thru. This is HORRIBLE SERVICE! OVERPRICED WITH TOO COSTLY ADDITIONAL FEES! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

    I ordered flowers via AVAS to be delivered to my sister in Sun City West, AZ when her husband died suddenly. This company contracts out all their work after they bill you but do not accept responsibility for the order. In this case, they contracted Aasyaa Flowers in Sun City West, AZ who unfortunately delivered to 129th Street and not my sister's address at 129th Drive. Avas tried to contact Aasya and their voice mailbox was full and they did not answer any contact via tel or email. It's been a week and I as the customer was already billed but my sister, now a widow never received the flowers. Avas did not respond since they said their contractor was at fault...and Aasyaa did not respond even though they are local to the area and should know the development multiple addresses of streets/drives.

    I unfortunately paid $75 dollars to not have any product. I now have to go through my Visa company and the BBB to get a refund. I've spent 6-days and many hours trying to solve the problem and still no response from either vendor, but AVAS just strung me along and would not refund or reorder the delivery. Stay away from both AVAS and AASYAA's flowers. The lack of empathy is appalling. I have never been this disgusted in poor business practices until now. AVAS Flowers never took responsibility or seemed to make any effort to fix the problem or acknowledge the problem but they willingly took my $75 dollars and blamed their subcontractor for not delivering the flowers. From my understanding, AVAS did not pay the local florist. They contract out but simply pocketed the money and hoped I'd let it slip.

    1. On 6/11/20 we placed an order for delivery of flowers to a teacher we paid extra for same day delivery. 2. The flowers were never delivered. 3. On Friday 6/12 we called and was advised the flowers were on the truck & would be delivered by 7 pm. 4. The flowers were never delivered. 5. We called back after 7 & was told the florist shop was closed but your rep guaranteed the flowers would be delivered by 4 pm Saturday. As we were responsible for getting the flowers for the teacher we were already embarrassed. 6. The flowers were never delivered on Saturday.

    7. We called at around 6:30 that evening & spoke to Johana. As the name of the florist could not be provided, we asked that the flowers be delivered to another address and we would then hand deliver the flowers. Johana changed the order delivery address. 9. Johana told us that Saturday delivery could not be guaranteed but would be delivered by Monday the latest by a new local florist. 10. SURPRISE - the flowers were never delivered.

    We were on hold on 3 separate occasions for over 35 minutes & still it has never been explained why the flowers weren't delivered. We live in a very densely populated area of NY. Your practice of shielding your florists who have failed to do their job as promised & guaranteed, is inexcusable & against what transparency means in today's world - you did nothing but reinforce the problems with business today - no one takes responsibility! Where is compensation for our time and embarrassment - and where are the flowers? Howard

    I placed an order online for a sympathy arrangement on a Monday. I was charged a $17.95 service fee but agreed to pay it so that the flowers would be delivered the following day by noon. When the flowers didn't arrive by 3:00 pm, I called the company's customer service number. The representative checked on my order and was told that it would not go out until the following day; more than 24 hours late. I cancelled the order and requested a refund as the flower arrangement had not even been made. I was put on hold for 18 minutes while the operator "processed my refund." He came back on the phone and told me my account had been credited the full amount of my purchase and I would receive an email.

    The company did send an email stating the refund had been issued but that it might take ten days for my bank to process the refund. The money had been charged to my account as soon as I placed the order, however, it takes ten days to have the money placed back in my account. There is no doubt in my mind that I was put on hold for 18 minutes because they hoped I would hang up and not pursue the refund. I wrote a review on their website with this same information, however the company did not post my review. I have filed a complaint with the NJ Better Business Bureau, the state in which the company headquarters is based. I have not received my refund and others who have written to the Better Business Bureau state they have not received their refunds either.

    The BBB contacted Avas Flowers on behalf of customers who have had the same problems I've had, but found their claim that customer satisfaction is their main goal as not accurate since they have not changed their business practices despite customers' complaints. They posted a warning about this company. I wish I had checked with the BBB before placing my order. I am still waiting for my refund. At this point, I will have to take the matter up with my bank. I found a good local florist who delivered the arrangement the day after I ordered it, as promised, and didn't charge me a service fee. There are good florists, make sure they are not affiliated with Avas Flowers before you place your order.

    On their website they advertised as a local florist in Chico, CA. I ordered from their website on 6/5/20 for a next day Saturday delivery in Chico and paid $9.99 for delivery by 2pm in addition to their regular delivery fee of $9.99. Nowhere did it say a Saturday delivery wasn't available or that any other fees would be charged. Saturday comes & goes with no flowers. I called their 800# Saturday afternoon, was on hold for 30 minutes then was told I'd get a call back by 6pm. No call came. On Monday I learned they aren't even in Chico (they are in New Jersey!!) and they just forward the delivery request to an actual local florist and charge to do that.

    The flowers were delivered two days later which is also when I finally received my receipt, where I found that I was charged an extra $18 "service fee". She actually argued with me even though I was looking at the charges on my receipt! Long story short - she said she would credit back to me $20 and that it would take 7-9 business days to see the credit. Deceptive advertising, hidden fees, horrible customer service....

    I found the Avas website because the Covid-19 epidemic had resulted in the local florist being closed. I was attracted to an anniversary floral arrangement that was depicted as having 12 roses plus other minor flowers in their "small" arrangement. Based on this I chose the "medium." When it arrived there were 3 roses, a couple of hydrangeas and a few other flowers of lesser value. This has a worth of about one-third what I had paid.

    After speaking with several representatives from the company as well as the florist who actually put together the arrangement I was offered half off the arrangement and nothing deducted from their fee was 25% again more than the arrangement. More importantly, these flowers were meant to mark the 50th Anniversary for my wife and I. The special touch is lost. As a statement of fact, I will never again use this company!

    Before I wrote this review I gave Avas Flowers an opportunity to respond to my concerns. After on hold, I was told that I would receive a response by phone within 24 hours. None has been received. I ordered a flower arrangement to be delivered to a friend in another city which has an Avas Flowers. The arrangement I chose cost $39.99. I had a code for free delivery but when I got to the last step, the total was (is) almost $62.00! I would be more specific, but I still have not been able to get a detailed statement.

    When my friend made no mention of the flowers, I called. She had received an arrangement, not the one I had ordered...not even close. She sent me a photo and it is not even arranged professionally. It had a number of daises and leaves. I can understand some substitution, but the vase was not even the same. I certainly didn't feel it was worth over $60.00. My friend was embarrassed that she had not called, but the card I had requested was not included. There was only a business card for an event planner. I have no clue about that. I had an expensive lesson and since I have not received any response from the company, I would never use this company, Avas Flowers.

    Last week I ordered a Pink Orchid from Avas Flowers. This is the first time that I used their services. I was a bit nervous at first considering the plant that I ordered is a very delicate species; I thought for sure I made a poor choice as far as the product I chose. It was super beautiful when it arrived, it was a little smaller than I expected. The product came a day later than I requested, but there is a lot going on in the world today so I gave them a pass. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

    I ordered flowers for an anniversary early morning June 1 and received a confirmation they would be delivered by 7pm that day. They were not, claiming the attempt to deliver was unsuccessful (the recipients are working from home!), using COVID as an excuse, offering 15% off my next order. The next morning I received a phone message, unintelligible after “Avas”. By 4:30pm that day flowers still were not delivered so I used the online customer service form AGAIN to notify them of my concern and request a refund. Shortly after, they sent an email that the order had been delivered at 4:51.

    My daughter-in-law sent a picture - what an embarrassment. The most unprofessional and pathetic bouquet ever. You could buy better at a convenience store for $8– not the $80+ I was charged. I had the same experience via phone as previous reviews, on hold for 20 min then to an automated system to schedule a return call from them, which I did. Surprise! No response. I tried to use the online form to file my complaint but the link within that page of the form is “broken” and will not submit so I sent an email to the address in their recorded hold message. It bounced back with an automated reply that the email is not monitored so I printed my complaint and sent via USPS.

    Short of filing fraud with my credit card company, I have hit a brick wall. There was a code for “free shipping” followed by a $20 service charge to place the order and a $3 charge to enclose a card with message. Look closely at the location for this business (NJ) because their website goes to great lengths to demonstrate a presence in a Midwest city, as I unfortunately discovered too late. Thus my advice: Buyer beware!

    Wow this review is making me choose a star! My order stated delivered on Jun 2 with a confirmation #. Had to put in complaint in which I was told they will provide proof. I found out several orders was never delivered because of a new employee. So I was finally told I will receive my order by 6pm Jun 4 and it's now 6:10pm. Horrible Service. Don't use this company.     DO NOT use this florist! I paid $70.00 for an arrangement that looked like a $5.00 arrangement from a grocery store and stuck in a $2.00 vase. Not any thing like the picture from their website. It was delivered a day late. They did call and tell us it wouldn't be delivered on time and said they would upgrade it with balloons (which did not happen). The vase was suppose to have a nice ribbon with a bow, no such luck, just a plain cheap looking vase. I was very disappointed.     I live near Scottsdale Fashion Square where we had some crazy riots over the weekend.     I ordered a half dozen red roses with a balloon and card to be delivered for my niece on her 16th birthday. I received notification that it could not be delivered. Customer service apologized and added another half dozen to the order to be delivered the next day free of any additional cost. It arrived a day late, without the balloon, and the roses were DEAD! I called customer service again. After 20 minutes of being on the phone, they offered me a $15 dollar credit. I demanded a full refund. They finally agreed. However they shorted me $10 on the refund!     I paid $65 for an order of flowers to be delivered on a Thursday. I received an email saying: "Thank you for using Avas Flowers. We are happy to take care of your floral order for _________. A delivery attempt was made on 05/28/2020. Unfortunately, it was not successful. As a valued customer we would like to offer you 15% off on your next order with us! Just use coupon code: ThankYou2013 on your next purchase."

    One would believe this means they will not be reattempting delivery, so I attempted to call to verify, but was not able to find an email or phone number that was valid. So, I ordered flowers from another vendor (which were delivered on time and were beautiful). On Monday, I noticed the charge from Avas was processed. Upon investigating further, I discovered that 7 tulips were delivered. Just 7 tulips (which cost $4.99 at my local grocery store). I called to dispute the charge and "Ivan" told me that their email did not say they were canceling the order, and that in these times 7 tulips constitutes a "mixed spring bouquet" and is valued at the amount I was charged. Unbelievable. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

    My mom had to put her dog to sleep today. I ordered a Lavender arrangement for her. I called to ensure same day delivery. 3 hours after my order I hadn't received an invoice. I requested a new one. 3 hours after that flowers still not delivered. Went on the website to check, no order status. Called again, was on hold for 30 minutes then I chose a call back time. I then received an email that what I ordered wasn't available. WTF, how do you charge $90 for something you don't have, and wait until its too late for same day delivery to tell me. Never received a call. No reply to my email. Still trying to get my $$$ back. I will be reporting them to the BBB on Monday. I'll also be calling my bank to report the charge as fraud. This company is horrible and a scam. $10 delivery fee, and a $20 service fee, for what??? Please don't use them, you will be disappointed.

    Buyer Beware... I sent flowers to a friend as a birthday gift. The flowers were 75% dead within a three day period. I was told by customer service that I had 24-48 hours to report this. And since I was not within the time frame, there was nothing they could do for me except offer me a $15.00 credit on my next order.     I paid over $90 to have flowers delivered the same day but they never showed up. I tried calling seven different times, every time the automated phone system hung up on me. I submitted a complaint ticket on the website, and finally a MONTH later got a call back from someone who left a completely unintelligible voicemail. I called back and finally got a person after twenty minutes of navigating the automated system, and they have now had me on hold for seventeen minutes while they "verify what happened" before they can do anything about it. What a nightmare. Still no refund.

    Croton Petra Planter. I just ordered a plant from Avas Flowers. It wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be and the pot that it was in was cracked with a little dirt on the porch. That part was a little disappointing at first, but because I had a cuter pot in my garage I didn't mind. The plant itself was very cute and color.     I recently ordered a bouquet of flowers from an online florist company that a friend referred me to. I was a bit skeptical, because the reviews are about 50/50, but I have to say although there were a few bumps in the process my overall experience wasn't that bad. I would most likely use them again in the future. The flowers came a couple days after I expected them to and getting ahold of customer service was a bit challenging, but it was Memorial Day Weekend so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. The flowers themselves were pretty. They didn't have the exact color scheme as in the picture, but was replaced and filled with another flower that was absolutely beautiful. Thank you Avas.

    Placed an online order on 5/20/20 for flowers for my Sister's birthday. I paid for delivery on 5/25/20. They weren't delivered as promised. I started trying to check on my order early on 5/26. Nothing but the run around. Finally, after over 4 hours and three phone calls, the customers service person tells me they weren't able to find a local florist to do the order. Then he asked if they could have 24 hours more to try and find someone to do it! I told them that I want a full refund, since no one contacted me about this problem. I felt it is extremely unethical and dishonest business practice.

    As I was still waiting to find out what they're going to do, I get a text from my sister. She had gotten flowers delivered! Problem is, I ordered the premium order (24 stems) in a red vase. She got 12 stems in a generic clear vase. So I paid a total of $141.72 for 1/2 an order. I also paid for rush delivery, not to mention their "lack of service fee" of $17.95! Spread the word...do not order from these people!

    Delivering flowers at 110 degrees is not easy. Honestly, Avas flowers delivery team deserves to get 5 / 5 stars. Here is Phoenix, our weather is already at 105-107 degrees during days. And yet, the delivery crew makes deliveries on time (at least for my 5 orders in this year - i order a lot as I'm a financial consultant). On last Friday, I called them as usual to deliver 10 orchids for my client's houses before Memorial weekend and avas flowers delivery team pulled it off! I mean, my clients are in Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Anthem and Desert Ridge areas. Everyone loved my orchid plants - the deal was great too - paid $40 per plant so total came out to be $460 or something. Great guys to give my business - thanks guys as always.

    I ordered a flowering plant for my daughter and wanted to use a local company - she lives in Traverse City, MI. The only company that I could seem to access on-line was Avas Flowers. I did a little more research and it appeared to have a “presence” in the area so I tried calling but there was no answer. I ended up placing my order online. Delivery was guaranteed in 2 days. Two days later I received a call that my order was not delivered and they did not have my plant. I asked if I could cancel and was told I could but for a $15 charge. So I opted for a different plant and I was given a $15 discount.

    What was delivered was a plant that was half the cost of my initial purchase. Very disappointed I called to discuss but they would not budge. I ended up with a $95 bill, not the plant I wanted, not even the plant they offered as a substitution, a late delivery, and not even a local company. I will not use this company again and I wanted others to know of their option to delivery something else at a lower cost and that cancellations are $15 regardless if it is their fault.

    I ordered a 2 dozen assorted roses for my wife right before Memorial weekend and I can tell you (even I'm not a flower guy) that it was gorgeous. They put some kind of rainbow roses along with red and hot pink colors and those green leaves. On top of this, they put a white bow around a vase and it was just perfectly matched.     I purchased flowers on Saturday for same day delivery. The description of the arrangement was vague, but I went with the luxury grade arrangement. The arrangement given was not worth the price I paid. By Tuesday, the luxury grade flowers were wilting. I also added a medium box of chocolates for $24.99. The chocolates delivered were 12 Ferrero Rocher chocolates that sell at Target for $5.19. I completed their survey and expressed my displeasure. They responded with a $20 credit.     I am so utterly disappointed with this company. I ordered the large flowers for my parents 25th wedding anniversary, and receive the small. I was on the phone for 1 hr 7 mins with no resolution. The rep kept providing me with her email address, that didn't work, even the contact@avasflowers.com didn't work, tried from different email addresses, so that I could show her the photo. I could have picked better flowers on the side of the freeway or from Safeway. I want to go big as it was their 25th. I was so embarrassed when my mum sent me the photo. I am so disappointed that there was nothing Avas could do, I have the photo. It is absolutely not what I ordered or paid for.

    On another note, I received an email stating the flowers had been delivered at 4:30pm, well they were not, they got delivered at 5:10pm. I work in customer service, and if I treated my customers like how Avas did, well I woudn't have a job. Customers are king/queen, customer are what keep businesses open. I understand that Avas is like a broker, however to partner with a flower shop in Livermore, CA that is deceitful and does not have any integrity is just shameful. I will never ever order from this company again.

    I called Avasflowers and spoke with Kerri(?) to place an order. Being in NYC, I was cautious and made sure that it would a 'no contact delivery'. It was a same day order and was delivered within 2 hrs for my cousin on Bronx. My cousin told me that the driver was wearing a mask and those blue sanitized gloves when delivered the flowers. I called Avas Flowers and ordered a lavender spray with a banner saying, "Loving wife," a lavender heart wreath with a banner that said, "Love, your girls," and a heart-shaped pillow with 8 purple roses (8 grandkids) with a banner that said, "We love you grandpa." The gentleman I spoke to said that because the pillow came with three roses obviously he would have to charge me for the extra roses which is totally fine. He added on an $88 arrangement that I kept saying is this what you're putting on the pillow because it seems kind of expensive and he continued to say yes.

    The day of the funeral which was horrible since it was my father and because only 10 people were allowed to be there with no hugging. I look at the flowers and not a single thing was correct! The $30 in banners that I bought we're all cards and every card said "we love you grandpa". The heart-shaped pillow was a square pillow. It was supposed to have the eight purple flowers. It had three white flowers. And then the four thing that they charged me for for the extra roses was its own arrangement and it only had six flowers it didn't even have the eight flowers!

    I called that day to get a recording that said that they're busy and they'll call me back. Pick a time so I did that and they never called back, I called the next day. Same thing happened again. I called every day for over a week and I finally got someone to give me a manager to speak to. The manager who I was having a hard time understanding in the first place said to me that he would refund that they're only supposed to refund the missing items which would be the three banners for $30. He said that the designers only do what the recipe says, they don't change things (completely bs). I said how I didn't order that $88 arrangement that I just asked for extra flowers on the pillow. He said that those two things would get refunded as well after arguing for a while.

    Few days later I look at my bank statement and I only had the $30 refund so I just called back again was on hold for over half an hour then talking to people trying to get to the manager. The manager finally answers and that precedes to tell me that he never said that I was getting a refund on anything that it's all recorded and he put me on hold to listen to the recording that I had with the gentleman I placed the order with and tells me that I told him to add the fourth arrangement.

    This is a complete lie. I've never been so angry in my life. My father just died. We're in a state home so only 10 people could be at the funeral. Nothing that my father wanted at his funeral could he have but at least I could have got him the flowers he wanted and this place ruined that. The even more messed up part was that the first few people that I spoke to offered me a 10% discount or a store credit and things like that. At least they tried to make it better. The manager just said, "Sorry you agreed to it." I wish I knew how horrible this place was before I ordered!

    We ordered flowers for our grandmas funeral. We wanted to make sure they would be delivered at the right time so we called and they confirmed. This was the day before delivery. Delivery was 10 am, at 930 we receive a call saying they could not deliver the flowers because none of their delivery services were open, so I asked if I could pick up and the guy told me they didnt even make the flowers and there was nothing they could do. This is the day of the delivery. 30 minutes before delivery was suppose to be made. This is absolutely the most horrible place I have ever dealt with. They have no compassion and do not care about their customers at all. Find somewhere else!

    Ordered flowers for girlfriend's mother. Two days after delivery date contacted Avas flowers because website said they could not verify delivery. Avas said they would look into it and contact me. After 2 more days with no word contacted customer support. They offered to redeliver the next day. I gave them specific address info for delivery driver and after two days still no contact. Contacted customer support for third time to cancel order. They offered to redeliver the next day with no compensation for 10 days late. They left me on hold for 20 minutes to cancel order.

    Placed order on 5/10 for delivery to FL. Scheduled delivery date was 5/15. Flowers never arrived. No delivery confirm. Tried to get info on website ("we have no delivery on file"). Tried to get human on the phone but their system has no such option. By 5.18, still no delivery and no confirmation or other communication from Avas. So canceled the order on their website. Suddenly a human being appeared. The Avas rep claimed that the delivery address was incorrect (house number 764 vs. 754) and said the flowers were delivered to that address. I was skeptical since I never got a delivery confirmation. Because 764 is right next door, I had recipient contact the homeowner at 764. They had not been home for weeks, never received or accepted flower delivery and no flowers were left at the property. With this proof, I went back to Avas.

    Avas refused to offer any refund, still claiming that flowers were delivered to 764 (despite PROOF that no flowers had been delivered to that address) and said it was my fault and therefore no refund. Although Avas claims they have a "delivery confirmation" (at 764), their website still, to this date, states "we have no delivery on file for this order" and I never received any kind of delivery confirmation (until I was told about one on the phone after demanding cancellation and refund). Needless to say, I do not believe any delivery was made at 764 and Avas know it, but is still refusing to provide a refund on the PRETEXT that the flowers were delivered to the wrong address. AVOID AVAS AT ALL COSTS. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE WEBSITE. AND LIARS. They are not a trustworthy company with which to do business.

    My plan was to go social media for my flowers not being delivered at 10 am on last Friday. Being a business owner, I can't wait unless it is delivered within 10 mins. I placed an order at Avas Flowers website around 9 am for same-day delivery to my shop at 10 am. As it wasn't delivered at 10, I called and complained about their service. How hard is it to make one bouquet and deliver it in 1hr? Anyway, they did deliver my flowers at 11 am. I was about to go crazy on this experience but they deliver it with extra flowers and ribbons which I got so many compliments from my customers all day. Maybe I should order them again.

    This will be my 3rd time ordering at Avas Flowers. They never let me down - flowers as described, delivered on time. My wife loves it every time I ordered from them. But, they missed one thing. They forgot to send me a little packet of flower food. Luckily we had few from previous orders but they shouldn't miss a flower food next time. Will I order again? As long as my wife loves the flowers from these guys, I'm their customer.

    Honestly, a guy like me in 50's needs someone like these guys. This Monday, I had to send a flower to Garden Grove Methodist Church on Main Street and Avas Flowers helped me ordering it online - they literally walked me through each step which took me 20+ mins (not a computer savvy here). I really appreciated this - how often do you get a service like this? Usually, we, as a customer, wait for 20+ mins to get a hold of someone! Avas flowers will be my 'go to' shop - the sales associate name was Martin(?) and boy, he was knowledge on flowers, type of setting, how churches handle flowers. Thanks and god bless!

    These guys came through for me when I had to order flowers last minutes. The customer service reps were helpful and courteous and amazingly they got the flowers delivered the same day. They are definitely part of my address book now and will be my first thought if I need to send flowers again. Hopefully not at the last minute.
