Flowers never delivered. Ridiculously long wait times to get customer service. Apparently from another country, their English was terrible, obviously reading from a script. Said the flowers were delivered but they clearly were not. Said they would have to call me back about issuing me a credit. WTF, $70 charge and it's apparently going to be a battle with these folks. BUYER BEWARE!!! These people say they’re local florist, that’s BS.

Avas Flowers purports to be a local florist. They are NOT. I needed flowers delivered to my brother who had gone through open heart surgery. I was unable to be there and needed the flowers delivered at a specific time. One local florist was honest with me, and said they could not deliver at that time. I called Avas and they assured me they could deliver the flowers on the day and time I requested. I let them know how important it was that the flowers were delivered at that time on that day. They did not deliver the flowers until two days later. And they forwarded the orders to the same local florist who told me they could not deliver on the day I wished, and charged a LOT MORE. Avas is a national network that simply sends the order to a local florist and charges a lot extra. They make promises they have no intention of keeping. Do NOT use this florist.

Paid extra for earlier delivery. Was delivered LATER than if no extra $ paid. Delivery interrupted a funeral, which was why I paid for earlier delivery. Refused refund; given credit for another purchase. As another complaint said, this appeared to be local however, was not. This company has false advertising. There are no good deals to be had.

Never order from this business; they are terrible! I placed an order on 1/11/18, and they GUARANTEED delivery no later than 1/14/18 for my mother-in-law's birthday. I received a call back from them on the same day the flowers were ordered, from someone needing to confirm the address. I confirmed. Then, I received a call on 1/12/18 from someone else wanting to confirm the address! I confirmed AGAIN, and that person also confirmed the flowers would be delivered by 1/14/18. Then, I received another call on 1/15/18 from someone needing to confirm the address AGAIN, even though I had been assured the flowers would be delivered by 1/14/18!!! When I asked why the flowers had not already been delivered, I heard a bunch of gibberish that made absolutely no sense at all (of course, not English speaking!), along with a lot of worthless apologies and assurance that the flowers would be delivered THAT DAY!
Not surprisingly, the flowers WERE NOT delivered, and as of today, they still have not been delivered! When I called today for an explanation, I was told that the order was never put through to the local florist!!! That is the stupidest explanation I've ever heard! Then, she had the audacity to tell me they would be delivered today! No way!!! I demanded an immediate refund. We'll see if that happens! This place has got to be a scam... there is no way all of these people who have written bad reviews have the exact same experience with the same company and that company be able to still be in business. How can they even be allowed to make these bogus online transactions?! Never again!!!

I was humiliated. THE person I sent them was upset!! Do not order from these people. I called Avas today and they offered to give back $10. I refused this cause the damage done. Cannot be undone now. This has upset me to tears. Never have I been this upset in my 71 years with a florist company!!!! Don’t order from them. This was very important to me.

I found this vendor by a search that showed florists who did same day Sunday deliveries. I was assured of the Sunday same day delivery and charged for it. When I called later on Sunday to ask about why the flowers weren’t delivered, I was told that the local florist did not have Sunday delivery. When I told a sales rep that I was assured of Sunday delivery, she told me that the company wasn’t responsible for their local florists' policies and offered me a 10% discount on my next order. This is false advertising.

NEVER... NEVER order from this company. We sent a very nice funeral arrangement, well we attempted to have it sent. Flowers were never sent and when I called AVAS Flowers they give you the runaround and IVAN is truly rude and was no help at all. They will not stand behind their Customer Service Policy, should be a full refund if flowers did not get delivered. AVAS will tell you they can't do any refunds. Good luck with talking to anyone that claims to be a Manager or Supervisor. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!!

I ordered flowers from Avas. They came, my wife was thankful, I was excited to see them when she came home. Imagine my disappointment when I saw what was delivered. I kept walking by and seeing them. In a vase I could have bought at the dollar store. The balloon was half inflated. The flowers though pretty were so sparse. I could have them at Wal-Mart or Winn Dixie! I expected a better quality bouquet! When I decided to voice my complaint I was told to send a picture, which I did. I only to be told to send again in another format. A runaround! So I finally get A response it's, "Oh you didn't complain within 24 hours!" Wow!! Never again!

I placed a order on Jan 17, 2018, I had to speak to 5 reps and they could not give the status of my order & it was suppose to be delivered on the date above. At 10:15 today I held on a call for 10 minutes & was told they can't send the basket I ordered & want to use a vase, I said NO. So finally after holding longer I was told the basket would be delivered today. We will see if that is true or not. I don't think this was very good customer service at all.

Pictures say a thousand words. I ordered flowers online for a dear friend who had just lost her mother. I put the order through at Avasflowers.net. They called me to let me know that the particular flower that was in the arrangement was not available. I OKed a substitution. I OKed a different vase. I understand that certain things are not always available. But I did not expect what my friend received. Avasflowers.net's customer service was VERY unhelpful when I spent over 30 minutes on the phone trying to get this resolved. Basically told me tough **. They even told me I authorized the change and that it was reviewed on the recording, but refused to let me hear the recording. They tried to tell me that the arrangement was actually an upgrade from what I ordered! Laughable! I am hoping that this review will make people will think twice about ordering from them.

I placed my order several days before the delivery needed to take place. I spent a good deal of money so I was shocked to find out that the flowers were not delivered. I called first thing the next day and the company said that they would deliver the flowers that day. However, they did not. Three days after the scheduled delivery day, my friend informed me that the flowers still had not been delivered. As of yet I am still waiting of this expected beautiful arrangement to be delivered. Customer service has hung up on me, I've been transferred to a voicemail, and there has been no effort from the company to reach out to me and fix their mistake. No refund has been offered and no flowers have been delivered. I have never been so dissatisfied with a flower delivery service.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I ordered from this florist because they said they were local to Huntersville North Carolina. They are not. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered because they are all very accurate. The flowers that our daughter received look nothing like the ones that I ordered. I ordered the floral Harmony bouquet which was pink and purple and blue, they delivered an all pink arrangement with a few red roses. It was very cheap looking in my opinion. The website offered a 45% discount, but only gave us 10%. It said free delivery, but then charged us $15.95. Not worth the $54 spent. I've included pictures to show the difference. The email they sent to confirm delivery even described a completely different arrangement!

I Googled "local florists" for the Richmond, VA area. AVAS flowers was at the top of the list. They had a internet special on so I ordered what was supposed to be a "premium" peace lily plant. I ordered this on a Friday for the service on Saturday. When we arrived from out of town at the service on Saturday, the plant we saw was certainly not "Premium" as advertised. The plant was very small and looked in bad shape. Too late to do anything about it then. It was embarrassing. Also the offer said "free delivery". With the 10% discount the original order came to around $56 and change. When I checked my credit card had been billed for $72 and change. They had included a $15 and change fee for "service and handling". Nothing was ever presented as such. I never received any confirmation e-mail as promised as to the order or as to the delivery.

AVAS Flowers is the worst flower experience in years. I even called them to ask specifically how the plant would look, and they guaranteed me that my $93 plant order would be beautiful. It shows at least 5 blooms on the picture, but there were no blooms on this. The barcode was still on the crummy basket like they picked it up from Home Depot and dropped it off for the funeral. I'm humiliated and embarrassed to send this piece of garbage to my ex-husband's family. The plant they sent didn't even look as good as the $39.00 one they offered. Disgusting. They also don't let you write a review on their website. It is totally controlled. Definitely a scam!

Have called twice and spoken with a real person, I was offered red roses in compensation, I refused, then I was offered store credit, which I also refused, "they" say I will receive a full refund, still waiting on that. I will say, the website is beautiful, but makes you think you are dealing with someone local. Don't be fooled. Call your local florist, do not use Avas Flowers.

However, I paid them. They have yet to deliver my flowers, I have sent them 3 messages requesting an update on delivery, they have not responded. Glad I trusted my instincts on this one. After you have almost clicked the final button to place your order, a $15.95 fee is added. I contacted the company and they agreed to take the fee off. But after reviewing the order, they downgraded it to a smaller arrangement. Called again and when I said I wanted to cancel the order (because it was more money than I agreed to), the customer service person hung up on me. After a third call to the company, the agent gave me a difficult time about cancelling. Don't want to ramble about other details... awful!

I was not pleased with what was delivered vs what was ordered. So after much discussion, I was offered a $10.00 credit on my next purchase. I ordered a Premium Lily arrangement. In addition, I had ordered 4 candy canes to be added to the arrangement to the tune of an additional $5.00 which were not included with the arrangement sent. Of course, the order receipt does list a disclosure which relieves them of any liability to make sure what is sent reflects what is pictured. So MY BAD for assuming that it was policy for substitutions to take presence over what was actually ordered. The arrangement was a total of $149.90. Their customer service is basically a repetitive response to all whom have a complaint.

Two days ago, my mother ordered flowers for me through Avas. The person flatly lied and told her they were local, in a town about 15 miles from me. For two days, she got excuses about why the flowers had not been delivered. When she told me who she had called, I started looking online and fails to tell her to cancel the order because this place is not a florist at all. It is a call center that contacts truly local florists and gives them a small portion of the advertised price to deliver an arrangement to the address. When the sender finds out the arrangement is way smaller, they complain to the delivering florist. Avas claims no responsibility. Many true local florists have blocked Avas or do not accept their orders. This is why their orders, when finally delivered, are brought by UPS in a box and are nothing like what was advertised. Do yourself a favor, contact your local florist and ask them for help.

I paid to have a very nice Christmas arrangement sent to a family friend, after the arrangement was not delivered I knew right then that I was about to run into a huge issue. I contacted Avas Flowers, they lied and said they e-mailed and left me a voicemail that the florist did not have the arrangement that I paid for. Funny how I didn't ever have a single call or e-mail. The customer service person was very rude, told me I don't know what I am talking about but would be happy to send a replacement arrangement (which was a day late by the way and not delivered until almost 8pm). The arrangement that was sent was HIDEOUS AND TERRIBLY MADE! It did not include ANY of the accessories that I paid for (candy canes, ribbon, a red vase, other Christmas décor). A BOX of dying tulips were sent instead, that was IT.
I contacted Avas Flowers again - after asking for a refund for this disaster, they decided to give me a $15 CREDIT TOWARDS A NEXT PURCHASE. Are you kidding me?! I will never spend another dime with this shady company! I am completely disgusted with this entire process and it was embarrassing having such a tacky looking box of flowers sent. Worst experience I have ever had purchasing flowers!!!

Yesterday I ordered a sympathy arrangement for a customer in North Carolina. His 22 year old daughter tragically passed unexpectedly and I went to the trouble of ordering a beautiful custom arrangement for her funeral services. I mistakenly thought they were a local florist but they are nothing but a clearinghouse for florists. You rarely get to speak to a live person, only an agent, who claims to be onsite at the florist shop.
This company is a joke. They promised me and promised me it would arrive on time. When I get my email confirmation of the order, I notice the deceased name completely misspelled and the delivery address was Lewiston, ID not Huntersville, NC! The zip codes aren't even close. So immediately I contact them to point out the errors and they apologize and take care of the errors.
Today I get an email that my arrangement could not be delivered. This is unacceptable! I am so heartbroken for my customer and pissed that it appears we did not acknowledge their daughter's services. They offered to send a fruit basket to the family. A day late and a dollar short. This is so disappointing I can't see straight. I will call them even though I replied to the automated email that I wanted them to contact me immediately at the number I provided in the email but of course, I'm twiddling my thumbs. I will call and be placed on hold indefinitely before I speak to some nitwit who cannot assist me in solving this problem. I RECOMMEND YOU TO NEVER USE AVAS FLOWERS!!!

Two days later, I received an email saying that the arrangement would be sent on 12/28 since AVAS was too busy. It did not arrive for Christmas. In the email AVAS offered to upgrade the arrangement. The arrangement did arrive on 12/28, however the arrangement did not resemble the arrangement ordered. I also paid for all the upgrades. An order placed before Christmas, was delivered to a neighbor's house, who was out of town. As a result, my family did not receive it until New Year's Eve. It was left on their neighbors front porch. My $98.99 poinsettia (yes, I was stupid, but in the holiday spirit) It did not have a bow, or ornaments, which I paid extra for, and it was frozen dead. After many phone calls, I have been told my uncle signed for the flower, he is almost 90, has dementia and hasn't answered the door in years. After many phone calls and talking to 6 customer service people today, and they have all promised to resolve this, I have registered my first complaint, I also have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Sorry I didn't read these reviews sooner, 0 would be too good of score for them, picking dandelions and weeds would be better if you delivered them yourself.

Funeral was on Thursday. Got an email Friday night around 6 stating they will be delivering them on Jan 3rd. WHAT? I am so furious. I live in Texas as well as my friend, so not happy that now it appears I wasn't caring enough. The whole point of me calling the local florist was to make sure the delivery was on time. I ordered from Avas Flowers on 18 Dec 2017. My flower arrangement cost $84.92. The flowers were to be delivered 19 Dec 2017 by 12:30 pm in time for my uncle’s funeral. The location of the Avas representative was in New Jersey and my uncle’s funeral was in New York. I made sure Avas had the right address for delivery. The Avas representative also said they had his name in the computer already since other people called and ordered flowers for him. I felt good knowing my flowers along with others would be delivered and he'd have more flowers coming from other family and/or friends. Avas also said their driver would deliver them not UPS or FedEx.
The day of the funeral, I received a confirmation email from Avas stating the flowers were delivered at 12:43 pm which was a lie. Mind you they were supposed to be there at 12:30 pm. I asked my family members and they said no flowers were at the funeral for my uncle. Yes, the service was held with no flowers. I called the funeral home which is family owned and they said the flowers arrived "after" my family had left from the funeral. And that he was looking at them while I was on the phone with him. There was no confirmation of delivery on 12/15/17 or through the weekend; I followed up with customer service today and it was only then that delivery was confirmed and the account message was updated.
The first phone call to Avas lasted 20 minutes with a rep who said she could take care of my concerns -- namely a $15.95 charge for service and handling to ensure the "Appropriate level of caretaking required" for my order as well as emailing communication regarding billing... Since when does a customer have to pay extra for expected "Service and handling" for a product such as flowers and ask for an invoice? The end result was one of no resolution despite her comments that she would resolve my issue and call me back within two hours.
Not surprisingly that never happened. I returned a call this afternoon and spent 27 minutes and 32 seconds on the phone with a "Samuel" who also did nothing to resolve any of my customer service issues, despite his constant reassurance that he could and would rectify the situation. The "Rectification" was a $5 credit to my cc account and a discount with the company to be applied to a future purchase; he could not refund the service fee or resolve communication issues because he would "Be fired." At no time was I transferred to a supervisor-type representative for additional assistance... You know, because "Samuel" could take care of my concerns. What makes "Samuel" think that a discount would be amenable? It won't be as I will never, ever order from avasflowers.Com again. Despicable and embarrassing reflection of the company. Fyi... This incident occurred in DeForest, Wisconsin... The franchising florist should be ashamed!

I ordered flowers for my sister 5 days before Thanksgiving to cheer her up after surgery. The flowers were sent with a dual purpose in mind - not only to cheer her, but to be a beautiful centerpiece on her Thanksgiving table. The arrangement came in 3 sizes and I ordered the middle size because that was what was pictured online. The bouquet that arrived looked nothing like what I had ordered. The flowers were wilted, the ferns were dry and curling, and the arrangement was so thin you could see the green foam holding the stems. On Thanksgiving Day - just 5 days after the arrangement had arrived - it had wilted further to an embarrassing state and was not fit for any holiday table! My sister was so embarrassed she never told me the condition of the arrangement. I learned about it when I asked her to send me a photo of her Thanksgiving table.
When I saw the photos, I called Customer Service but was told I needed to have contacted them within 48 hours of delivery to get a refund. After supplying the attached photos, they refunded me a total of $13.69 of my $65.24 payment. They refused to accept responsibility and I was forced to contact my credit card company to dispute the purchase. I RECOMMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER ONLINE FLOWER PROVIDER. DO NOT USE AVAS!

At Avas Flowers, the website advertises beautiful flower arrangements. When you click on the picture, small print says that all design pictures are of the deluxe variety. There are 3 tiers: standard, deluxe, and premium. I wanted to order the deluxe, but I was told that in order to get the flowers delivered on the same day that I would need to spend more money. I opted for the premium package. I was in a hurry. The guy gave me the total of $80 and some change. I figured I would get an itemized receipt (which I got after complaining.) What I got was nothing as nice as pictured.
They gave me cheap flowers that weren’t even nicely arranged and they put it in a cheap clear glass vase. The one pictured is silver. They charged me $6 for a ribbon tied in a bow. They gave me “free” shipping but charged me $15 service charge. My biggest complaint was the arrangement looked cheap (nothing like the picture) and they would do nothing to appease me. I wasn’t asking for a refund, but for them to make it right by sending out another arrangement more like I ordered!

I told her that it is past 4PM and that this is business address. Place will be closed in an hour. She stated that she cannot guarantee that flowers will be delivered in an hour and also that she has no means of contacting driver. She was rude, instead of being apologetic. I told her that there has to be some resolution as they did not fulfill their side of the bargain and did not meet delivery date. She told me she cannot do anything and they will re-try delivery following day free of charge to me!!!
I told her that I should of been compensated instead of being excused from the delivery charge as it is clearly company’s fault. Her response was "This is all information I have". I asked her to directly me to the manager, maybe someone else can help me. She denied my request and stated that she "customer relation manager" and no one else can help. My conversation was not going anywhere. After fighting she stated that she will give me 10% back to my card. She said that I will get email confirmation. I wish I had seen the reviews of this florist before I wasted my time and money on a product that was never delivered. The reviews are horrible and here is one more. DON'T EVER USE THEM! I wanted to send a special Thanksgiving Centerpiece to a special family in Carson, California. I live in north San Diego County. I googled florists in Carson and Avas Flowers came up. I assumed they were local to Carson (They are not local to anywhere). I couldn't get the order placed online, so I called their customer service and spoke to Brian. I told him the name of the Centerpiece and the price. He said the candles would be $10.00 extra which I thought odd, since the picture showed the candles.
He told me he could have the flowers delivered on Thanksgiving. I gave him the address and my cc number. On December 1st, I hadn't heard from the flower recipient, which was odd. I finally texted him and he said he had not received any flowers. I called Avas and a lady with an oriental accent told me she would check into it and call me back. She did not. On December 4th I called again and it sounded like I was speaking to the same lady. She assured me, by putting me on hold, that she had contacted the florist, and they had been delivered. I asked for the name of this florist, and she refused to give it to me. I asked for a refund and she said they would not do that. I called my credit card company and filed a complaint and they took the $77.15 off of my account until they do their own investigation. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

After some discussion the rep advised me that they could deliver something similar and they would give me an "upgrade" for the inconvenience. Well, the flowers still arrived 2 days late, with no balloons and nothing even CLOSE to what I ordered. They were some sort of small purple and white flower (NOT fall colors) and only a few were even open. The buds were falling off! Certainly not worth the $75 I paid. Hardly a Thanksgiving arrangement. We ordered it by telephone thinking they understood the request but that may have been our mistake. They claimed they delivered what was requested but this is not true as noted above. Wanted a full refund but they only offered a $10 credit. CONSUMER ALERT. Buyer beware of AVAS FLOWERS!! This is a complaint about my experience with Avas Flowers but hopefully the last part (“Facts you need to know”) is informative for future unfortunate patrons of this company. The Situation: I placed an order on 10/25 for a loved one’s upcoming funeral as they were on life support and I realized that their demise was imminent. Since they were a lover of the game of Golf I wanted a creative “Golf Themed” spray plus I wanted to give the local florist enough time (~2 weeks) to, create a memorable arrangement.
At the time of the order I did not know any details of the funeral but knew it would be in Chiefland, Florida. Upon paying for my order ($250) I received a confirmation (order # **) with MY Atlanta home address as delivery and a date of November 1st. I called back immediately to correct both of these mistakes and the rep said no problem since the person had not passed. They needed to put something in the order but assured me that my order was “ON HOLD” until I called back. I called back on 10/29 as she passed the day before and the representative not only took my information, but had all the funeral information & location from the obit in front of him. We ended the call with an agreed delivery date of 11/10 @ 10 am in Chiefland First Baptist Church.
I received another confirmation email and it had all the wrong information but when I called a different rep reassured me by reciting all the important information on delivery and said that they would “obviously would be making multiple deliveries to that church that day” (implying they were local to Chiefland, AND that’s what their website and voice message states). I went to the church at 10 am for an 11am service, and saw no flowers so I called Avas. After a very stressful 15 mins of being put on hold, a rep came on and stated that my order had been delivered to my house in Atlanta (7 hours away). I was puzzled because they were a local florist so I checked my home security system and nothing had been delivered. At this point I had been on the call for 30 mins and the rep had me back on hold.
When she returned I asked her if they could still get flowers delivered for the service (Chiefland is a small town). She said no but they she was listening to the recording of my original order to see whose fault it was, REALLY? Since they now knew that I caught them in a lie on delivery thanks to my home security and the fact that they were NOT a local florist as advertised. I knew the call was going nowhere and I had to get into the church for the service. I asked them to have a manager call me at 4pm sharp as I would be driving home to Atlanta.
My call came in at 4:24pm from the original call center rep and not a Manager. After 20 more minutes I ask for a manager and finally got one (I think). I said, Bottom-line this special memory that I entrusted in your company to deliver went without any “Golf Themed” flowers as ordered and paid for. The “manager's” solution was to send the daughter flowers upon return back to New York AND STILL CHARGE ME!!! I suggested a proper resolution was, send the flowers at no charge with a letter of apology and refund my original order as I had at least 8 different frustrating experiences with the company. The response: “NO”! I then asked if I could have a Manager, Director, VP or CEO’s name so I can write them... (Response) “NO”.
At this point I knew that I was dealing with people who could care less about anything other than where their next dollar could be scammed from so I hung up and filed a dispute with my American Express card. I am not sure how these people are still in business and not being pursued by the BBB and other agencies for false advertising (local). The one thing I am sure of is, the local florist that they represent have no idea how they are running their business. Finally I will be posting this entire complaint on every site possible as I understand people make mistakes in life, however it’s how you correct your mistake that counts and allows you to become a trusted member of our society.
FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE DEALING WITH AVAS FLORIST! AVAS is NOT Local! - No local store front (brick and mortar), they represent contracted local florist but they are actually located at 300 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, New Jersey with corporate headquarters at 373 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. This is clear false advertising on their site. AVAS call center is not even located in the UNITED STATES. To be fair there may be more than one call center but the only one I could find is located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico (Ph.: +52 662 463 4786).
After review of multiple consumer sites for complaints here is what I found (scale 1-5 w/5 best). Better Business Bureau - (Avas is NOT accredited) 283 complaints / 6 resolved. **- 3222 reviews / rating: 1.3. ConsumerAffairs - 682 reviews / rating 1.0. YELP - 96 reviews / rating 1.5. Facebook- 30 reviews / rating 1.0. Florist Detective 101 reviews/ rating - “F”. To be fair I did find one site called ** that gave them an average rating, but I am not sure if the site is reputable as every other site I reviewed talked about law suits and petitions with awful ratings.
Remember how the call center rep. refused to give me any names of any leadership for me to contact? Well with the power of Google, Facebook and LinkedIn, I was able to come up with a few names. This list may not be too accurate as people like this tend to move around a lot to avoid conflict. However you can tell that they want to stay as far away from customer issues as possible because these were difficult to find: Matt Neuenhaus - CEO-AVAS. Shin Hwang - COO-AVAS. ** - Manager-AVAS. ** - Customer Service Manager-AVAS. ADDRESS: 373 S Main St New City, New York 10956. Phone: 877 638 3303. Finally, ALWAYS USE A CREDIT CARD THAT YOU CAN CANCEL THE CHARGE. Too many complaints talk about never receiving a refund!!!! If you get caught by these folks like I did, hopefully this will help. These people should be out of business!

My Husband ordered flowers for me on a Thursday. I got home and he ask me where my surprise was. I looked at him like he was crazy. First the flowers was never delivered. I called on Friday to get a refund. After 30 min of arguing with them about my refund they finally told me that our 70.00 would be credited back. I returned to work on Monday and the UPS drivers brings me 12 dead roses and my card was all spelled wrong. WORST PLACE EVER. WALMART HAS BETTER FLOWERS...

I placed an order online. They were offering free delivery and so much off with online coupons and you think you're getting a good deal and then all the sudden when you hit submit they have a $15 service charge that doesn't show up until the very last second. Didn't notice it until after the order was submitted because I had neglected to look over. Second problem is the flowers are supposed to be delivered that day cuz I had put the order in early that morning. Guess what. They were not delivered and still not delivered by noon the next day. Call to cancel my order. They told me I had to wait to the end of the second business day to cancel it. Poor service. Would not ever recommend. Watch out for the hidden fees.

To start out, I ordered flowers from a website that looked like a smaller locally owned flower shop. I was ordering a sympathy bouquet to be sent to a funeral. The website touted next day delivery, a discount code for I believe was 40% off, I can't remember for sure. It also touted free local delivery. I ordered flowers on Friday afternoon to be delivered to the funeral home on Monday morning.
The first red flag should have been the order confirmation page said one amount and when I approved it they tacked on a $15.99 "handling fee" which had not been disclosed previously. I wish I had a screenshot. I let it go because it was still less money than what the florist in an adjacent town was going to charge. I received an email with links to check the status of my order, everything seemed ok.
Monday, 5hrs 15minutes after the funeral services began I received a text message that said there was a problem with the delivery. I called the toll free number and it was then I realized this was NOT a local florist. I was told there was an issue with the floral designer and the arrangement did not make it to the funeral. They offered to make it right and deliver the bouquet to a family member the next day. So I gave them the information.
Tuesday they contacted the recipient and left a voicemail, she returned their call within 10-15 minutes. They did not return her call. Tuesday afternoon I received a second text with a message that there was a problem with the delivery. I called back and told them they missed the funeral and since they missed the opportunity to make it right I wanted my money back. The CSR tried to talk me into leaving my order with them and they would "give you a nice fruit basket instead."
I asked for my money back again and told them if they failed to do so I would call the credit card co and have the charge overturned. They put me on hold and after ten minutes I got an email confirmation of a refund to my charge card. (Which has yet to appear on my statement.) The flowers delivered yesterday anyways, ironically about 30 minutes after I demanded a refund. The flowers were not what I ordered, not even close. I'm giving them another business day for the credit to post or I'm calling the credit card company. I would avoid using this company at all cost.

Have your representative listen to what the customer is requesting rather than cutting the customer off repeatedly by saying, "I'm sure we can create something you will love." Because what I got was something that I did not love and didn't even use for my wedding. After paying over $70 for a bouquet and was small, skimpy, and looked more appropriate for a 5 yr old junior bride, I ran out to Publix and a random young man who worked there, who kept remarking that he wasn't a certified florist but he would be happy to help me, helped me create a larger, fuller, much more beautiful bouquet for $12.
I only wish I could upload the pics of both bouquets so everyone can see. I won't be using or recommending Ava's Flowers to anyone. The first picture (all hot pink with an array of flowers) is what I wanted and what I described to the representative as I was being cut off. The 2nd pic, tiny bouquet with 6 roses is what Ava's delivered. The 3rd pic is what the young man at Publix made for $12.

I ordered a floral arrangement depicted on Avas' website - the order person (not located anywhere near the city and state I was having it delivered to) upsold me on a larger arrangement. What was delivered is an arrangement smaller than the original depicted on the website (let alone the larger one sold to me for $20 more) plus, I ordered the arrangement without balloons (that was emphasized) because my 98 year old mother in law is allergic to materials in balloons. It was delivered with balloons. I also modified my order without pink carnations to be replaced with white carnations. You guessed it - the order was delivered with pink carnations. The order rep confirmed each of these requests. Avas misrepresented the arrangement what was sold to me vs what was depicted (I have photographs of what was delivered) and they ignored my two additional requests.

We ordered flowers to be delivered on our friend's birthday, and when we placed the order we were promised it would be delivered that same day. We called the next day as I was unable to check the status of the order online, and was told the flowers had not been delivered as promised, but they would certainly be delivered that day with an "even more beautiful arrangement". Needless to say, we were upset that the flowers had not been delivered as they were to be a fun surprise for our friend's birthday.
We asked to speak to a manager to explain why the order was not delivered as promised. The agent was very difficult to understand and after many requests to speak to his manager, he finally told us the manager would call us back within 3 minutes. He also told us that he was going to give us a reduction in the price of our order due to their mistake. We asked that they include an apology note with the flowers saying that the delay was their fault. He told us all of this would be done and confirmed in an email he would immediately send us.
Needless to say, we never got either a phone call or an email! I called again today, just to be sure the flowers had indeed been delivered, and guess what? Still no delivery! I will NEVER order anything from this company, and if I could I would take out a full-page ad in USA Today, advising anyone thinking of choosing this company to look elsewhere. This place is nothing but a scam, and from what I have seen from the other reviews, I am glad we were able to cancel the whole order. Buyer beware!

One star is pushing it, but apparently you can't give no stars. I ordered flowers for my daughter and son-in-law’s anniversary. I thought I was ordering locally. Now, I'm not sure if I even ordered in the U.S. I was told the flowers would be delivered that day. At around 5:30, I received an email that they couldn't be delivered until the next day. Which, totally bummed me out because I would have ordered something else from somewhere else had I known that they couldn't be delivered when they said they could. Anyway I received a notice that they were delivered. However, they have not been delivered. I called to cancel and the gentleman on the phone was not surprised that I was dissatisfied and said "she didn't receive the flowers at all, not even petals." I swear you can't make this up. He put me on hold for about 3 minutes then came back on the line and gave me a reference number for my credit (which, by the way is my order confirmation # plus today's date).
Then I received another call that the flowers were out for delivery. I told the gal that I had cancelled my order. However, she had no record of that and put me on hold. So, a few things that I've gathered along the way. When they ask you for comments that ask that you provide them with your email address and order number. Don't do it. I believe they use this info as proof of satisfied customers. Also, they registered me for an account, which I didn't register for. I also checked the remove me from your listing box. They sent me a link and when I clicked on the link, received the page could not be found message. I got tired of being hung up on so I called AMEX to dispute the charge and told them that I didn't think that this was a reputable company. Hopefully, someone can shut these crackpots down.

This is the first time I have written a negative review, and I regret having to do so. Including discounts, I spent $160 on my first order (it was beautiful, but looked like a $75 arrangement) and $100 on the second order (giving Avas a second chance). The second order was even more disappointing. It was for a funeral and I picked a specific, very cheery bouquet with white daisies and yellow lilies.
Because of my first disappointing experience, Avas was going to upgrade my order. The bouquet that was delivered was a sad peach color, and again looked like it cost about $75. I let the florist know that I was disappointed and wanted to return the bouquet, but the only option they gave me was to pick up the bouquet at the funeral home during the viewing.
I didn't want to upset the family, so I told them not to pick up the bouquet. Avas then offered a credit on my next purchase. Needless to say, I will not be spending any more money at Avas. Also, I have attempted to unsubscribe from Avas's email list a number of times, but continue to receive unwanted emails. I have reported the site to spam@uce.gov.

I called to speak with a representative, he was foreign. I could barely understand him. He put me on hold and never came back to the phone after 10 minutes of holding.
I called Avas Flowers again and requested to speak to the manager. He assured me that he would listen to the phone calls that were made and he would get back with me to settle this dispute. He finally called back when I was on an important phone call with my dental office. I called to return his call on the number provided and never was connected to the manager again. I receive a lady who could not speak good English. She was very difficult to understand. She said they would credit my credit card and send me an email of credit confirmation. 10/17/17 COMPLAINT: AVAS FLOWERS. COMPLAINT SUMMARY: The flower arrangement delivered to the recipient is neither similar to nor of an equivalent value to the product ordered and paid for online. (See photos) ATTEMPTS TO REMEDY: Customer made multiple attempts to remedy situation including (1) responding to the AVAS customer satisfaction survey, (2) sending an email (see below), (3) sending photos, and (4) returning a customer service telephone call.
Avas initially reached out via email and voice mail to remedy the situation but it quickly became apparent the goal was to upsell products not resolve the problem. Avas first offered a solution (via email) of $10 off the next order. That was refused for obvious reasons – it’s inadequate and requires an additional purchase. Customer next spoke to a customer service representative on 10/17/17 who heard the complaint, made an offer of $10 off the next order plus a 10% discount. The customer said that a product was purchased online in good faith, therefore the only remedy was to deliver the product or to refund the money.
The Avas representative stated the photo shown is the Premium arrangement. The customer pointed out the website states clearly that the arrangement shown is the Deluxe arrangement (see website snip - Photo 4). The Avas representative promised to call within a day or two with a solution. During this 19-minute phone call, the customer was put on hold four times for a total of 12 minutes. No customer service representative called back as promised.

She called them back to rip them a new one for calling her a liar at which time they "called the florist" who said the flowers would arrive in 15 minutes and they were sorry for the mix up and my girlfriend called me back to tell me what they had said.

I'm starting to think there are no flowers that they just took my money and hope I can't get it back. Well guess what my banker is also my friend. I'm getting it back. I was notified from the business owners. The representatives kept saying, they could not get in touch with the flower shop. All the online advertising states they are local. This is when I figured out I was doomed into thinking they were local! They state they have a 5 rating with 4 different rating sites. Go look at the reviews! Most are horrible experiences.
The advertising states it is a local company. This is not true, after researching... Avas is located in NJ, I ordered these for AZ. After writing a complaint of trustpilot.com, Avas Flowers came back stating lies of the delivery date, as well as the compensation they would give. I was told a 10% refund ($5.79), which is a pitiful amount, then on Monday, on the phone, I was told I would be refunded the handling fee. The only credit back on my card is the $5.79. I am not at all happy with the service I have received. I ordered flowers and balloons online to be delivered to, my daughter, a student at Brown University. This should have been easy. Instead I get a message on the morning of my daughter's birthday saying the flowers were delivered, when the instructions clearly stated that the recipient would not be available to receive the delivery until afternoon. I called customer service to ask where the flowers had been delivered, waited a LONG time on hold and was finally told that the flowers and balloons had been left in the mail room. I called my daughter and told her to go pick up her delivery at the mail room.
She walked over to the only mail office on the Brown University Campus, and there was no delivery waiting for her. At that point neither I nor my daughter had any more time to deal with the situation. Her birthday came and went. No delivery. The next day I called customer service to ask for my money back and spent many minutes on hold, while the service representative tried to contact the flower designer, which she failed to do. She said she would call me back and never did. On the day after a birthday delivery, when the delivery failed to happen, they needed to just refund my money. At that point it is irrelevant WHAT happened. From the customer point of view, I ordered flowers, paid for the order and NEVER got my flowers. This is simple. They owe me the money back.

It appears that this business cannot fulfill orders to that town, despite the fact they advertise that they serve that area. The customer service operator admitted that YES their website claims that they serve that town, but NO they do NOT in fact have a "designer" in that area.
The alternative she offered were ridiculous. The balloons could be delivered to me (in Missouri) and I could take them to the recipient (in Texas), OR she could give me "store credit" toward a future purchase. I had to demand a refund to my credit card, and it remains to be seen whether that will happen. A reputable business does NOT accept orders that it knows it cannot deliver, immediately charge the credit card, wait two days to unapologetically tell the customer that it cannot deliver, and then balk at refunding the purchase price. I even selected and paid for the upgrade to Premium to ensure that the arrangement would look beautiful. They were to be delivered on Saturday. On Monday I contacted her to see if she had received them. She had not. I contacted Avas Flowers to find out why and was told that the local florist that they contracted with wanted an additional $12 to send the arrangement that I wanted, or they could send a "Designers Choice". I had a difficult time understanding what the representative was saying (likely being handled overseas) but the bottom line was they would not fulfill my order unless I paid them more, or they could let the florist that was trying this bait-and-switch scheme decide on what my daughter-in-law received.
Last I checked, that was extortion, and that's illegal. Furthermore, why would I let someone who is trying to extort money from me make any decision for me? I asked to speak to a supervisor but, of course, one was not available. I even asked for the name of the florist with which they have the contract with but they wouldn't give that info either. I finally told them to cancel the order and refund my money. Just to make sure their accounting office knows, I contacted my bank and filed a request to reverse the charge on my credit card. Then I went online to find the name of their corporate offices and sent them a complaint as well. And now I am here, trying to help the next victim who thinks ordering from Avas Flowers will be an acceptable option avoid the terrible ordeal I went through. The recipient texted a pic and I could not believe they called that an upgrade from the $64 original order. I emailed then called customer service. The first solution was to pick up the flowers and make another the next day. Is flower repo a real thing? Crazy! Like everyone else, I get offered the 10% off and that good feeling that comes with sending flowers is replaced by regret for not having checked the reviews. I've refused the discount and insisted instead of punishing the local shop, they waive their $15 handling fee. I'm still waiting for a callback.

I ordered a funeral arrangement on September 5th to be delivered September 9, 2017 for my best friend's mother who had passed away. She loved lavender so I picked an arrangement from the "lavender group". I upgraded from a standard to a deluxe arrangement. I paid extra for a lavender ribbon. The container was to be lavender in color. The arrangement made it to the funeral home but I could not find it. When I asked where it was I was directed to the organ AWAY from all the other arrangements/sprays, etc. That definitely was not an upgraded version of what I was told I would be receiving. I asked specifically if it would be LAVENDER roses and was told yes, that is why they called it the LAVENDER COLLECTION. Well, the roses were pale pale pink with dark pink edges, NO NO NO Lavender roses anywhere. The container was to be lavender... It was a dark grey/black and there was NO LAVENDER ribbon that I paid extra for.
Needless to say, I was embarrassed by the size and the fact it was NOT what I had ordered. When I called, like so many of the other reviews I've been reading, the MAIN number only listens to you and then immediately apologizes and offers a 10% refund. THIS IS SO VERY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND. This was a very special lady I wanted to remember and I doubt that tiny arrangement even made it out of the funeral home. It probably was mistaken for a small arrangement they might have already had in the funeral home??? Like everyone else, I wished I had read the reviews before ordering! The day that the flowers were to be delivered, I received a text that there is a problem with my order and to call the number provided. I called, reached a call center, and was offered a next day delivery with little explanation as to why they were unable to complete the delivery as planned.
Obviously, that would not have worked, as the funeral was that day. When I asked for a refund, the call center rep said that was not possible. After a heated debate, and his refusal to escalate my call to a manager, he agreed to a refund. He sent me a bogus confirmation e-mail that the order was canceled and a refund was to be issued with no cancellation number. When prompted, he provided me with one verbally. If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would!!! My overall experience was HORRIBLE, to say the least. The initial ordering process was smooth and gave me reassurance that my flowers would be ordered on a very important day (my military retirement) for a very important event (retirement ceremony where I'd give flowers to my wife, mother, mother-in-law and sisters). I even paid extra to have them delivered prior to 11 am that morning. At 1045 that morning, I called Avas Flowers to figure out where my flowers were since I had to leave at 11. I was disconnected. I called again and was disconnected again. Finally, needing to leave for my ceremony, my sister took over and she too was disconnected two times. Eventually, she was told that the order had been canceled THAT MORNING and that someone had tried to call. That is complete BS, since my call record clearly shows that there were no attempted calls that morning.
Long story short, my buddy had to go to a damn grocery store to get flowers for the most important day of my military career. It was an absolute joke to deal with any of the representatives after the initial order since it became readily apparent that they were hanging up on me because they didn't want to give me the bad news that the order was cancelled (apparently because the local flower shop said the distance was too far... They couldn't have figured that out the week prior when I ordered the damn flowers!).
Hands down, it was THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I have ever experienced with any company, and I will NEVER do business with Avas Flowers again. They should be ashamed of themselves for such a horrible business - I will do whatever I can to go out of my way to ensure that nobody else in the Clarksville area ever does business with Avas Flowers again. What florist doesn't have those 2 flowers?
They then asked if they could deliver it the following day since it was too close to closing, again acting like they were a local florist. I contracted (two days early) to have a vase of flowers delivered for my sister's birthday. The transaction was done online. I supplied the delivery address and received a confirmation that the flowers would be delivered to that address on July 31. My credit card was charged. At 8:00 pm on the night of July 31 (the day of the contracted delivery) I phoned Avas Flowers to inquire as to when the delivery would occur since it was so late on the delivery day. After being put on hold for 14 minutes the Avas representative stated that I needed to pay an additional $10 for the order to be delivered to the home address I supplied two days earlier. Had I not called the flowers would not have been delivered as contracted. I refused to pay additional money for the contracted delivery. The flowers were never delivered as contracted.

I placed an order before noon on 7-26-17 and was told it was same day delivery. I received a call from a foreign sounding representative and was told that they could not do same day delivery and that it would be Saturday before it would be delivered. I informed them that it was not okay and that I would like my money refunded. She told me they couldn't do that and that she could do next day delivery, add extra roses and add a box of chocolates at no cost. She then asked me for a secondary address to which I gave my house address. This was NOT the delivery address, it was a secondary address. They already had the delivery address.
Upon contacting my wife today when it showed the flowers had been delivered she informed me she had not got them. I called to try and find out where the flowers were and I was informed they were sent to my house. First, there was no one home at that time to receive the flowers, second they left the flowers on the front porch and it is 100 degrees here, and 3rd there is chocolate in that box! There is not anything right with this order!!! The flowers are wilted!!! The chocolate is melted!!! The flowers weren't delivered to the right place!!! After my wife sent me a picture of the flowers they WEREN'T EVEN THE RIGHT FLOWERS!!! I ORDERED A YELLOW ROSE BOUQUET AND SHE RECEIVED RED ROSES! I called and assured them it was correct but they made no attempt to deliver the flowers again. I sent an email and received no response. The only way I could talk to a customer service person was to call and push the number for a sales person who takes orders. He sent me to a person who would try to resend my flowers. This company has around 200 call takers who take your order and send them to small florists around the country. They seem to be overwhelmed and poorly managed. I would NOT recommend using them. Worst experience with a florist, ever. Will not be doing business with this company ever again. Here is the email I sent to customer service. Someone did call me and apologize. Unfortunately, that didn't do much to make up for the unnecessary stress I was put through. "I have had the most frustrating and stressful experience with your company today. Yesterday morning, I ordered a plant basket to be delivered for a funeral service that took place today at noon. I called your customer service number about 30 mins prior to the service starting to make sure it was delivered and it had not been. I was then told a mistake in your system had happened and that it was being delivered tomorrow instead of today. Well, that wasn't going to work bc the funeral service was today. I was told a fruit basket would be sent to the family's home instead. As irritated as I was, I agreed to that and gave the delivery address.
An hour later, the representative called me back to let me know the local florist was delivering the original order to the funeral home within the next 5 or 10 minutes. Better a little late than not at all. Another hour later, I called the funeral home and was told it hadn't been delivered, so I called your customer service number AGAIN and was told (after being put on hold for a brief period) that it had, indeed, been delivered at 12:20 pm to the funeral home, but that instead of the plant basket I had originally ordered it was a dish garden plant.
For my own reassurance, I called the funeral home AGAIN and was told that it had been delivered. I'm glad it got delivered, but what I had to go through today was just ridiculous. I don't even know what the florist sent! There isn't anything on your website called a dish garden plant. How much does a dish garden plant cost? I'm just so frustrated with this whole experience. This wasn't just some birthday flowers... this was for a funeral service! There is absolutely no way this is an acceptable way to do business and I can't imagine leaving anything but bad reviews for what I've been through these last couple of hours." The order on my account doesn't even reflect what I ordered. They changed it to the fruit basket and that isn't even what was delivered. So many things wrong here... This company needs to call it a day.

I ordered flowers online for a funeral service. I am heart-broken that Avas Flowers have let me down in such a profound and irreparable manner. I provided accurate information regarding the funeral home address and the deceased two days before the delivery was scheduled. I have discovered that the flowers were never delivered. My son was attending the funeral and he could confirm that our flowers were not there. The flowers were scheduled for delivery on July 20, which was the first day for visitation. The funeral was on July 21 at 10:00 am. At 2:00 pm the website said my flowers were still scheduled for re-delivery.
Delivering flowers after a funeral is over is just ridiculous. Not only is the company incompetent but they are fools a well. When I called customer service, they put me on hold for 12 minutes. They are now claiming the flowers were delivered, even though their website and my son say differently. I asked for an immediate refund, which they did not agree to. Their solution is to investigate and they will get back to me. This is unacceptable. On top of heartbreak I now have to deal with lack of business integrity and poor customer relations.

This was by far the most horrible birthday surprise flower arrangement experience I've ever had. Where to begin... for starters I placed the phone order from Los Angeles, California for delivery to Alice, Texas under the reassurance from sales person that I was in great hands and the choice I made in picking the "Deluxe Dreaming of Tuscany" was an excellent decision to surprise my mom for her 61st birthday. The clerk reassured me that for my approximately $90, it would be money well worth spent. We talked about the "Deluxe" delivery mirroring the photo I was looking at online... it's a gorgeous bright arrangement with vibrant oranges, yellows, greens! We added a balloon and card to make the arrangement even more beautiful. Needless to say, I was certain this arrangement would be the most incredible birthday gift my mom would receive on her birthday. I was excited and waited patiently to get updates.
I received a text message from Ava's stating that I could modify / check my order and it provided a link. I found it odd that I never received an email confirmation for my order so after a few hours I used the link in the text. It is where problems began. I realized the sales clerk put down the incorrect email address despite me telling him for assurance the correct spelling of my email I never got the initial confirmation. If it hadn't been for your text safe fail that gave me information, I would have a tough time locating my order. I made my modifications to change my email address, add my phone number and thought everything was good to go.
However... when it came time to surprise my mom with the flowers, not only did the floral arrangement look nothing like the "Deluxe Dreaming of Tuscany" arrangement I agreed to with the sales clerk but when I called to inform your staff that the arrangement sent looked like "funeral flowers", I was met with a very rude, resistant and combative clerk who called herself "Mae". There isn't enough time to explain how rude she was and I have yet to come across anyone who has been this terrible with customer service. She raised her voice which made me raise my voice and repeatedly denied my request to speak with a supervisor. Further she acted like the flowers my mom received were fine! It was a horrible long conversation.
Finally after many many minutes "Mae" transferred me to a supervisor but the phone hung up soon after:( I called back immediately and asked for a supervisor - I was transferred to "Dania" who unfortunately wasn't much better. She admitted all of this was a company error and did apologize but her solution was lazy and felt very insincere. She offered a 10% discount or for the flowers to be replaced with ones that looked like the photo but the driver would have to "take back" the ugly arrangement to replace the new one.
Fine... but when I asked her my options for a refund she said the options she gave are the only ones. I asked if she was certain that the options she gave were the best she could do because after all, the surprise I was so excited about was totally ruined by now and in her words entirely due to company error. I said so let me get this straight, you're admitting error on your side and this all you can do to correct things... it didn't feel right! I asked to send her a photo of the arrangement so she could see how bad the color pallet was vs me just describing it. When she opened the email and saw the photo she was horrified saying I was right - they look horrible. The call ended.
I received an email a few moments later stating "half my money" would be refunded. Well what a surprise that suddenly there was a different option vs the ones she gave me earlier! Equally shocking is that it's only half a refund after nearly two hours of my time wasted to fix your company error! Finally, my mother is still sitting at home looking at flowers fit for a funeral:( on her birthday week. You tell me... does any of this read up to the standards you boast about?
Unfortunately I am left with no choice but to never do business with Ava's again nor can I recommend you. Finally, I will write a review to inform others of the tragic experience my mother and I had for what was supposed to be a beautifully memorable birthday experience. UPDATE: No one ever followed up after the review. Instead I received an additional email stating I had been credited for half the amount of the $90 spent. Very bad customer service!

Explored their website but for my order I wanted to call in & talk with someone in person. We were on the phone almost 40 minutes putting order together - meticulous details to complement my colors & my decor. Proflowers could have made my order for 80$ but I went with local florist thinking it would be safer. Confirmed order form sent to me, my credit card was charged almost $140 for 2 table arrangements of flowers & balloons.
I arrive in TX late the night before the party. I go to the restaurant venue at noon to set up for the surprise supposed to be happening at 1. There were no flowers or balloons yet. They were to be delivered at noon. Called Ava's at 12:30 only to be told that the order - which I had placed & paid for more than 8 days prior had been rejected by the local florist? I thought you were the local family owned florist? They never called or even emailed me any information about this rejection, only left me hanging with NO floral arrangements for my dad's 75th b'day celebration. Their customer service rep had no explanation, offered no immediate refund or even a no cost bouquet sent later to the home of the intended recipient.
I called the next business day to be sure my CC was going to be refunded only to be told they couldn't process a refund because they were trying to deliver it "today". That is a day after the surprise party to a restaurant where we had held the surprise party the day before? Took me another 20 minutes to find a manager who had wasn't stupid who could process my refund. DO NOT use Ava's Flowers in Denton TX no matter what you do!!!

I called and (after being put on hold numerous times) I was told they were so sorry and they would refund me 10% and send a bigger and better arrangement out the very next day and they PROMISE it will be there before noon. So I wait, 3 pm rolls around and still no plant. I call and am once again promise it's scheduled to be delivered that day but they weren't sure why I was promised before noon. So I wait and wait. 6 pm rolls around and no plant.
I call again to speak to supervisor "Paul **" (I know they aren't giving their real names). I checked my confirmation and it had said they were delivered and then under it saying that no one was home and they left a note (um no, they didn't leave a note, or they would have been delivered to my work! duh!), and tried to call recipient, well I put my number as the recipient so if there was any issues they would call me! (They did call, no message.)
I called the number back and they hung up on me twice!! I called Avas customer service and explained my situation and let them know that it would be completely tacky for the flowers to show up tomorrow and asked if something could be done, and after talking to a customer service rep and being sent to a manager, we were on the phone 35 minutes total with no resolution. The Manager, Michael even said the reason they hung up on me was because the delivery guy was driving. (They can't pull over, or call at the next stop instead of just pick the phone up and hang up twice??!!) The only thing they said they could do for me because at this point, I didn't want the flowers, my only options were to get the flowers delivered tomorrow, or get a PARTIAL refund... Um, really thanks! This place is a joke, I wonder if they will even show up tomorrow, or in what condition. Do not waste your money with these jerks!!

Placed an order for next day BIRTHDAY delivery to an Ocean City MD hotel. The day of the delivery I was called and told the delivery could not be made, as their local 'designer' could not do it. The item involved a bear, a vase, a rose, and a bow. 'Designer' charge had been 13.00+. After speaking with two representatives who said they could deliver a dozen roses the NEXT DAY instead, I finally spoke with a manager, and cancelled the order. I still need to ensure my card was not charged. Every representative had a heavy accent. I may well have been speaking to someone outside of the US. Made a simple transaction into a much more difficult situation.

I ordered a $98 arrangement with very specific direction on what was needed and the types of flowers that I do not want. The person who took the order was fantastic and that was the extent of the good service. I received notification at 4:30 pm that my flowers were delivered yet the recipient did not receive them. I called Avas and they explained that they send the order to a local florist and the store was closed. I should follow up the following day which was not acceptable. I requested the name of the local florist and was told that they could not provide me with the name due to "security".
I requested to speak to a manager who naturally was "busy" and unable to chat. I requested a call back prior to 7:30 pm from that manager and I did not receive the callback. The flowers were finally delivered that night and it was not what I ordered and included flowers I specifically stated I did not want. This was a horrible experience with very little effort to make a poor experience better. I was extremely disappointed and will definitely not use this company again.

Ordered flowers for a new mother but flowers were never delivered even though same day delivery was guaranteed. Called back at least a dozen times and was placed in cue but then cut off on most of those calls. Once I actually got in contact with them, they promised to deliver the next day which did not happen after repeated calls. I finally called back at the end of day two to cancel the order, but they said they would have to check on whether they could even though the website said I could. I do not believe this company is legit and clearly their website and claim to be a local florist is false.

Do not order from them!!! I ordered flowers from Avas Flowers for my mom Mother's Day 2017. Not only did they not delivered what I ordered, what they delivered looked like it was something from the Dollar Store!!! I called on Mother's Day and a total of 8 times thereafter. They did everything from denying it happened, to procrastinating, to hanging up on me, to offering me a refund that never came. Do not order from them!!!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I ordered flowers for my kids to be delivered to their hotel room on their anniversary. Flowers were not delivered and all I could get was automated service. I have called my American Express fraud service so report this incident. So embarrassed, it was important that they get the flowers ON their anniversary before they checked out of hotel.

Trying to find a word to sum up my experience yesterday with Ava's Flowers, it would have to be "fraud". This is NOT a "local, family owned" florist as their recording and website would have you believe. It may be "local and family owned" where the calling center is located... And they may claim to deal with local, family owned florists on the delivery end... But my experience was a bad joke. I Googled florist in small town for delivery of bouquet to a former teacher who is in his 90's... Reception being given for him on Sunday afternoon and wanted flowers to reach the recipient before then so the family could use flowers to decorate the hall. Placing the order on Friday, I suggested they may wish to deliver on Saturday instead of "same day". Late Friday afternoon... Post closing time for any local florist... I received an "urgent" text asking me to call.
When someone FINALLY came on the phone, he said he needed to check the order. That took quite a while. When he came back, there was another delay... Then he said he had checked with the local florist and they had run out of flowers due to a funeral and a wedding! I had already expressed displeasure at finding they were NOT a real local florist. I prefer to deal with a local shop directly. This experience certainly backs up that premise. I said they should cancel the order. He tried to talk me into accepting a bouquet "three times the size of what I ordered" along with other perks. I said I was asking for them to cancel the order. He repeated that they would send the substitute order straight from their warehouse???? I said then it would not be in a vase... Oh yes, vase included, but flowers would have to be removed from box and placed in vase. And, oh yes... The "soonest" they could ship it would be NEXT TUESDAY!!
Could this experience have gotten any worse??? In deference to the young caller in the call center, he was very courteous and had a great telephone voice. But, in my mind, he is working for a scam employer. I did receive a cancellation email this morning, so assume my account will not be charged. After all the other negatives, I will certainly be checking my credit card statement!! CALL A LOCAL FLORIST and when THEY ANSWER the PHONE MAKE SURE they are GEOGRAPHICALLY LOCATED WHERE THEY SAY THEY ARE!!!
Forget their "discount codes" too. I filled out order form and omitted their discount code... But had to leave order and find zip code. When I went back and did include their 10% discount code, the total was MORE than the original order! OHHH... Just checked previous emails to find order number and there is an email dated today saying the order will be delivered today! Is this "business" a joke or what??? Find a local florist... Write the number in your password book and only use that to order flowers!!! These folks masquerading as local florists online need to be regulated.

I ordered flowers for my sister in law who had surgery and just got home. I placed order on 06/17 and order to be delivered on 6/20. No delivery, no call. I called them on 06/23 and was reassured order to be delivered by 7 pm 06/24. No delivery. Called them and they said they hadn't found anybody to make arrangement. No call or email/text. I cancelled order. They offered discount rate. Why would I order from company like this. Horrible.

I ordered flowers to be delivered on 6/22/17. After 9 different phone calls to non English speaking people, after numerous times they told me the flowers were delivered... No satisfaction and no flowers. They refuse to give refunds. Won't transfer you to a supervisor and keep telling me that the flowers were delivered. Then, they disconnected me a few times as well. Do not waste your money or your time unless you enjoy being jerked around! Also, their system will NEVER recognize your order number. Incompetent doesn't begin to cover this level of inadequacy!!!
