I placed an order for a particular flower arrangement to be delivered on a certain day and time. I was told I would receive a notification when the delivery was made. I never received a notification so I called the company to find out why my arrangement wasn't delivered. The very rude customer service rep told me there was a problem with getting my flowers and that they would "try" to deliver on the next business day. I asked why they didn't call and tell me earlier so that I could have had time to either change my order or cancel and call a different florist. He had no answer for me and said he didn't know. I told him that since they did not fulfill their end and did not deliver my flowers, as promised, that I would like to cancel my order as I no longer needed flowers to arrive a day late for a special occasion.

He told me that was insulting and that he could not cancel my order but he would give me $10 credit on a future purchase. I told him I would never be using this company again and I wanted my money back, and then he hung up on me. I called back several times and was put on hold for over 20 minutes each time and then they disconnected the line. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges but as of now I am still waiting... flowers were never delivered. I later found out there is a whole Facebook page dedicated to warning customers to not use Avas Flowers (the page is called Avas Flowers is a Scam). And that there are hundreds of people who have had similar experiences.

I chose Avas Flowers specifically because I like to support family-owned businesses. I found them online, but didn't place an order online – instead I called to discuss floral options with a salesperson. This was a very special, very important arrangement for a cancer patient. I wanted the biggest, brightest bouquet of carnations (the recipient's favorite flower) that I could buy for my budget. I even asked if we could forego the vase in order to afford more carnations in the arrangement (and have them wrapped in paper or plastic).

After putting me on hold, Tony the customer service rep told me an arrangement could be made with 30 brightly colored carnations and they could also be put in a vase for $64. He continued to ask detailed questions during the ordering: what color ribbon (Tony suggested silver) plus what time should it arrive, and a phone number to contact me with any questions. When I asked if it could be an afternoon delivery (so it would not wake the ailing recipient) Tony put me on hold to inquire, and came back on the line to tell me yes. I was thrilled. 30 brightly colored carnations in a vase with a silver bow to be delivered between 3-4pm. Instead 13 carnations in a vase with a yellow bow was delivered at 11:50am.

I do not understand why Avas asked so many specific questions during the ordering process only to have those details completely disregarded. Why was I not contacted about the change in delivery time to make sure someone was home to receive the arrangement 3 hours earlier than scheduled? If a silver bow was not available, I don't understand why I was not contacted to ask for a 2nd choice. And 13 carnations? For $64?

I called Avas Flowers and told customer service representative Maria, “There’s been a terrible mistake.” Maria said she could tell by looking at the order that something went wrong. She asked me to email a photo of the delivered arrangement to Avas Flowers. Later I received an email response from Nelson **: “After reviewing your photo and the recipe of this particular arrangement all flowers are represented accordingly. Therefore, your order has been approved and meets the Product Description.” He sent his regrets and a coupon for $10 off my next order. Next order?!

I ordered a flower arrangement from Avas online because it advertised same day delivery. They did not deliver same day, and only notified me the next day that the flowers would be delivered three days later. I called to try to cancel the order, and the customer service rep kept telling me they could not be cancelled. Terrible service. Will never order from them again!

When we placed this order on Friday, 2/16, we were told that it would be delivered on Saturday 2/17 by 11 am without a problem. There was no hesitation in placing our order. There were plenty of other flower shops to choose from, but we were confident that Avas Flowers would be the perfect fit. We ordered a large red and white floral spray ($197.90 was our final total). These flowers were ordered for a very dear family friend's memorial service. We couldn't make the service due to being out of state and having other obligations, but we wanted to be sure our family sent our condolences with a beautiful arrangement.

After I placed the order with the representative over the phone, I reviewed the receipt that was emailed to us. I had to fix the entire sympathy card, as it had multiple errors. However, I simply chalked that up to "Maybe she couldn't hear me very well over the phone". Although, she should've read it back to me so I could tell her how wrong it was. Saturday morning rolled around. We live in California and the flowers were to be delivered in Alabama. At 8:40 PST (10:40 in Alabama), I received a text message that read "URGENT: Please contact AVAS FLOWERS @ 877-638-6619 about your order..." I called at 8:40 because I was holding my phone when that text came in.

"Avas Flowers, can I have your order number please?" I gave them the order number. "Ok, thank you. How can I help you?" I told them that they just sent me a text message saying that it was urgent that I called. They told me to hold. When they came back on the line, they informed me that they could not fulfill my order because they were "out of red flowers due to Valentine's Day earlier that week." Really? Then she offered to have the flowers delivered to an alternate address next week. I was extremely upset and told her I'd call her back.

You're going to tell me that you didn't know that you didn't have enough flowers with only 20 min left to spare? Not only that, but there were smaller versions of the order that I placed and they couldn't make that? They had to have known that prior to 20 minutes before my flowers were supposed to be at the service. I called back at 9:03 am PST (11:03 am in Alabama). I pleaded, "Ok, the service doesn't start until 12 pm, is there any way you can just send over something smaller? Anything you guys have?"

The man on the phone said "Ummm... I can see what we have.. maybe we have a plant we can send. If it's less than what your order was, we can just give you back the difference.. but if it's more, then that's ok." I was irritated. "Well, you're probably going to end up giving me some money back, unless you have $200 plants sitting around." He said he'd call me back. We hung up at 9:07 am PST.

By 9:24, I hadn't heard back and I was just done. I called Avas Flowers back and requested that I just get my money back. They tried to offer me partial credit and to deliver the flowers next week to an alternate address, but I didn't have another address for them to be sent to and that wasn't the point. Then, they tried to give me store credit for future orders. Do you really think I'd EVER want to use them again for something important? Absolutely not. Finally, she agreed to a full refund. We'll see how long it takes to get my money back. This was my first and LAST time attempting to do business with Avas Flowers.

I ordered flowers and chocolates for my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day. I ordered with ample amount of time due to a busy holiday. They promised the order on February 13th. I did not receive until the 15th. On the 14th I emailed to cancel my order and didn’t hear back for 3 days. And when I did they basically said, "Too bad we don’t guarantee anything and no refund." Very disappointed with customer service, lack of professionalism, and overall quality. There are many other flower places that are spot on and blow this company out of the water. Don’t waste your time ordering from this sorry company.

On 02-12-2018, I ordered TULIPS, which were listed as in stock on their website, for delivery 02-14. On 02-13, I received an email stating that my order was being changed to ROSES which I did NOT want. On 02-13, I called and emailed to cancel my order (I have phone logs and a copy of the email) - this was within their allowable cancellation period. Despite this, they delivered ROSES and refused to refund my purchase price. I explained to their billing department that I have copies of the email and phone logs, but they don't want to hear it. They state that their policy is that they can change color and style.

However, they changed more than color and style - they changed the product. I looked at the BBB ratings and they are one of the very few companies with an F rating. It's evident from the Consumer Affairs site that many others have had serious problems as well. In my opinion, the reason they are reluctant to refund money to dissatisfied customers is that a large percentage of their customers are dissatisfied both with their product and with their service (or lack thereof).

I call and they say they are sorry hope this doesn't happen to you again. What? How many times does a person die??? They offer to send a fruit basket to the family instead... At our expense! What?! I am devastated to say the least!! There is no way they could make this right!! They could have called yesterday and given us time to contact a different florist!! This is unforgivable, unbelievable and beyond!!! Don't ever use this company for anything!!! My heart is broken!!! They offered a partial refund!!! Are they nuts!!!

We all learn from our mistakes and ordering from Avas was truly a big one. I was lured to their website as I earned points from a previous delivery but I could not use those points until I reached another level. Then I was pleased to see that my order would include “free delivery”... I didn’t notice the small faded print that stated taxes and other fees could apply. After I made my selection and got to the checkout there was a $16.95 charge for "shipping and handling," I should have stopped there but in need of this delivery on Valentine's Eve I pressed submit anyway. My total was nearly $92 and I had upgraded my order of Roses and Carnations based on the picture provided.

With great anticipation the flowers were delivered the next day as promised (that’s the only good point) but I was very disappointed as the size of the bouquet was scrawny and small... Only 7 roses. Now one could go to the supermarket and get a dozen for $35. I immediately complained by calling Avas but the volume apparently so great they could only give you’ll a call back the next day! I followed with an email citing the smallness of the arrangement saying also I’d like the flowers returned and a full refund! They did respond awhile later with a canned response that my order was within the guidelines they had promoted and stated no alternative. Looking again at the website I find they state “all sales final” but amid that there is all kinds of wording about customer satisfaction. The whole platform is build on cheating the customer and deception. Don’t use Avas Flowers!

I have never had such a hard time ordering flowers not only was I constantly put on hold to check and see if they could do blue vase, etc... It was a nightmare and to top it off it was not what I ordered. It look liked garbage and I paid 100 dollars. I wanted a blue. They gave me a clear. I wanted baby's breath and they gave me none. I can go on and on about how bad they were. Then I sent 4 emails with my phone number and finally got a email to contact them. I even sent a picture of how they didnt do what I asked and it looked like crap. This is not a family business. It's a online ordering. So instead of sending my sister the flowers I wanted they wanted to give me 10 percent on future order. I told them there will be no future order so no need to give that to me and that is all they would offer. DO NOT USE THEM. I don't normally write reviews but I don't want anyone to get suckered into using them... I should have read the reviews first.

It was for the next day, so I didn't understand why it could not be cancelled. It is a call center in New Jersey. I spent 75 minutes on different holds. Finally they agreed to a partial refund of $59. We'll see.

Nice flowers. Horrible customer service. I ordered tulips, they substituted roses. This did not work for me as my wife is allergic to roses, so she could NOT keep them. This was not a matter of choice as she had an immediate allergic reaction to them. The first representative I talked to offered me a 50% refund and would not budge on that. I asked for tulips when they became available – no. I asked for an alternate delivery of something else – no. She kept trying to quote policy from the website. She even suggested I was at fault for not notifying them in advance she was allergic to roses. I told her I was angry and that I would call back. So I reviewed the policy online and called back. The second representative also offered nothing to compensate me and finally I was forwarded to a supervisor. He asked me what was wrong with the roses I received.

When I explained I had ordered tulips he told me I was wrong and his system shows I ordered roses. No matter how many times I asked for a full refund I was deflected and offered ‘something else’ to make me happy. Yes, I want a refund, “can’t do that” was the reply I kept getting. So how does it end? With a 50% refund (on the flowers, not the vase or the delivery of course) and a different, non-rose arrangement to be delivered. Am I happy? Of course not. Why should I be forced to pay for something I did not want nor order. Why should I have to compromise when the error was 100% theirs? Wait… doesn’t end there. Two days later, they are out of orchids and send my wife a substitute order... roses.

I would not EVER recommend Avas Flowers or even order from them ever. I had ordered a bouquet of floral arrangements for a significant other on 2/13/18 and it said same day delivery and suppose to be delivered 2/14/18. Yet it wasn't delivered and said rescheduled for 2/15/18. Still wasn't delivered. I called them since 2/14/18 to ask about the status and they told me they had to get a hold of the designer and driver. Never had a response because apparently they didn't answer so the lady on the phone told me that she will call back to give me an update and she never did. Then today 2/16/18 which is 3 days later I called and they said the item was delivered but I said how when the school is closed.

I told the lady today I called yesterday to tell you guys that the school is going to be closed Friday so I would need to update an address or something and she told me she would call me back but never did. Smh??? So I called one last time because I was fed up and finally after 2 days of not getting a hold of the driver and designer they finally got a hold of the designer and asked. Mind you I called twice today. The First Lady told me she is going to call the school and the school said that nothing was delivered. So I called and checked and same result. Moral of the story is never order online or by phone with them. Their customer service and processing SUCKS! It took me 3 days and still nothing. Smh.

Well this time, they were on time but the flowers were dry and wilted and it wasn't the bouquet I requested. I know the actual selection is at the florist's discretion and what they have in inventory...but Sending dead and dying flowers and charging me over 100$ for it is not ok. The flowers were discolored, the few roses were wilted and if any of the flowers were touched or the vase moved, petal fell off. I called customer services and was on hold for an hour. When I finally spoke to someone I am put on hold again, they come back on the line and state they talked to the local florist she they claim to have use fresh flowers.

I emailed them pics of the crap they sent my Partner for Valentine's day and I still have not heard from them. I offered to give the flowers back if they would just tell me who the local florist was and they refused. Any time I talk to customer services they claim they are contacting the local florist and waiting to resolve the issue. I don't even want another bouquet from them. I just want my money back. I have already called and talked to another florist to have another arrangement sent. Avas flowers completely messed up Valentine's day this year. The flowers looked like they picked up an arrangement that had already been sitting for a week on someone's desk. I would give a "0" rating if I could.

The company guaranteed that the flowers would be delivered by 1pm but could possibly be on Feb. 15th, which was not ideal but went ahead with the order. They did not deliver on Valentine's Day nor the day after. I was completely irate and demanded a refund. You find out AFTER you place the order that orders placed within 4 days of Valentines Day may not be delivered until up 4 days after the holiday, when they send you the confirmation email. What's the point of receiving Valentine's flowers 4 days later? Why allow people to pay for expedited shipping? I received a refund but the damage was done. I would not recommend this company, especially around big holidays like V- Day.

I decided to place an order with Avas Flowers for Valentine's day more than 24 hours before Valentine's day. I decided to cancel my order about an hour or so after placing the order. Upon canceling my order they were informing me that they will give me a refund on the flowers but will charge me $18.xx for a service fee that was not mentioned in their policy on their website. I have reached out to the manager and he told me that it was there but upon researching their customer service policies on cancellation it doesn't mention anything about being charged for a service fee even if you cancel within 4 days of Valentine which I cancelled about an hour after placing an order more than 24 hours before Valentine's day. What I was being charged for was never in their policy and something they lied about and put in there on the spot just "because it was in the holiday".

I should have done a search for AVAS FLOWERS before we went through this exercise... My wife and I ordered a large spray of flowers to be delivered to the funeral of her Aunt. We received an email confirming the order, but the content of the card and the delivery time were wrong, so my wife called to get the information updated. It took forever to get the issue resolved as the service representative could not speak English very well, and wouldn't listen to my wife.

Finally received a second email with the correct information. A third email was received this morning indicating that the flowers had been delivered... Oddly, the email confirmation came in BEFORE the scheduled delivery time, which was an early warning that something was amiss. An hour after the funeral was over, my wife's cousin texted to say that the flowers had NOT arrived. WHAT!

So, we called AVAS FLOWERS. The AVAS Flowers representative vehemently claimed that the flowers had been delivered. They said that their "designer" said it had been, and that they were calling the church but nobody answered. The rep made several mistakes in what she told me (in terms of delivery time, and who they were working with), and I told her I wanted a refund. She said they'd work on it and call back. Likely won't happen.

As there is only one flower company in this small Oklahoma town (and it's called Designs by Dennis), we called them (as we should have done to begin with), and they confirmed that they had NOT received any order from AVAS flowers. The owner indicated that AVAS Flowers was a scam, and that he knew of several of his customers who had also been scammed by AVAS; one lady lost $89 and another $49. So, on to the credit card company. They're filing a dispute for my wife, and hopefully we'll get a full refund. DO NOT DEAL WITH AVAS FLOWERS!

Finally, a replacement came 2 days later and this one contained flowers that were dying and it was a totally different arrangement. I called to order flowers from Avas florist in Lake Grove NY this morning. It was the absolute worst customer service I have seen in 60 years. I am at loss for how to describe the transaction. The women who took the order kept trying to get me to order what she wanted me to order, not what I wanted. I ordered a fifty dollar arrangement but after she got my credit card number the total was a hundred dollars. I asked how my order went from fifty dollars to a hundred, she said, "We give you free delivery!" I said, "How am I getting free delivery when my order went up 50 dollars", she kept mumbling, "All florist have a 25 dollar upcharge fee." After several minutes of her repeating that phrase, I said, "Just cancel the order." She said, "I give customer service." I was placed on hold and no one ever came back. I called back two more times and was placed on hold. In the meantime she charged my credit card even after being told not to.

I finally talked to Alex and was told they would place me on hold again while he checked it out. But wanted my order number. I told him I was not given a order number because I canceled the order due to the horrible service. He then told me they already processed the order and charged my credit card. He would process a refund but I would be charged $17.95 for the cancelation. When I told him they had no right to charge me for an order I told them to not to process. He said that's how it's done and I should not be upset.

I hung up and called my charge card. They told me he had processed the order while I was on hold. That they would contest the charges. These people are scam artists, do not give them your credit card number, do not get ripped off by them. I send flowers in Long Island NY all the time and have for the last forty years. I have never had any business behave in this disreputable manner. Please do yourself a favor, check with Better

I declined. I requested to have pending transaction cancelled. I was placed on hold for 20 min. CSR returned told me it was no longer pending and they can offer me a credit. I explained I wanted a refund and requested to manager! CSR told me they were all busy. By this time I was out of patience! I told them I expected a refund or the charge would be disputed. I was told the reason the flowers were not delivered was due to a problem with website so they would offer me a credit or another delivery! Again in a louder tone I demanded a refund and explained they were fraudulent by making it appear they were local in the first place that I was giving them one last time to make it right.

CSR puts on hold. Comes back and says they will refund me everything but the “handling fee” yes this fee that pops up for 15$ that they charge for using their website. I explained that they could not charge me a "handling fee" on goods not received. In the state of GA it was illegal. Further she herself said her site was down so how could she charge me for a site that didn’t work. That their company was nothing but a fraudulent front to collect money without services and I would be disputing charges. All I had to do was show that they refused.

She then placed me on hold came back Gave me a reference number for a full refund and said it could take up to 10 days. We will see if this is true. My bank is watching the transaction and with dispute in 10 days. Further if you read after searching 20 min. You finally find a list a florist in an array they say they may or may not use. Never again will I be scammed!!! I hope this review keeps others from being scammed as well!!!

Ordered flowers for my mom's birthday. They advertise as though they are a local florist in the town where she lives. Prices online look great. However, in the fine print, it tells you that what you see in the picture is actually their next step up even though the price is their basic. MISLEADING ADVERTISING! Next, even after I agreed to the additional $10 dollars to get what was in the picture, they still tacked on an additional $16.95 handling fee. I should have canceled, but she assured me that every other florist charges a handling fee and I was in a hurry to get them delivered that day to my mom so I moved forward. Before the transaction was finalized, my $39.99 dollar advertised bouquet was $71.51 to get what was pictured. When I talked with my mom later in the day, she didn't mention the bouquet, so I KNEW something was wrong.

I called Avas back and after considerable hold time, I reached an agent who told me that since my mom had not answered her phone, they were not able to deliver her bouquet. However, rather than call me and see if I could reach her, or even call back a little later, they chose to do nothing. I told the girl that it was only 4:00 PM where my mom lived and that I wanted them delivered today even if they had to leave them on her porch for her to find when she got home.

The agent then told me that they were just an order house and called the florist and passed along the info, but would not tell me which florist in my hometown they were coming from. When the bouquet arrived, it was nothing like the picture. I called and requested a partial refund, and the girl offered me a 5% discount and $10 in Ava's Flowers credit. I told her this was completely unacceptable. She apologized, said that was all she could do and she thanked me for my time and disconnected the call.

When my husband arrived at the local florist to whom the arrangement was sent, the bouquet was frankly a joke. It was about 1/3 of the size of the one we had ordered, and would have been a huge insult had we brought it to the funeral for display. The florist said we needed to take up the matter with Avas. They also said that they have had MANY complaints from customers who have ordered from Avas. To add insult to injury, I have called Avas many times since last Saturday--today is Wednesday, four days later--only to be told we could have a $10 credit, we could have rewards points, they could redeliver the flowers, blah, blah, blah. HELLO!!! THE FLOWERS WERE FOR A FUNERAL!!!

Yesterday when I called, I asked to speak to the manager. She was conveniently "on the phone". I left my name and number for her to call me. Do you think she has called me? Of course not. If she ever does call me, which I can guarantee she won't, I am asking for a full refund. Will I ever get my refund? Of course not. BUYER BEWARE!!!

The calling hours for my brother were Sunday 1/7/18 from 5 pm to 7 pm. We live three hours away from East Palestine and we did not arrive in town until Sunday morning 1/7/18. We went to the funeral home and did not see our flowers. We spoke to the funeral director and she said they did not receive our flowers on Saturday or so far on Sunday.

When we returned at 5 pm for calling hours we spoke to her again and again. She said the flowers had not be delivered. We were very embarrassed feeling that we had placed our order in good faith that they would arrive in time for calling hours. My brother's funeral service was at 11:00 am on Monday 1/8/18. We spoke to the funeral director at 9 am and she said that our flowers had still not been delivered.

We attended the service and the luncheon at the church. We then went to the cemetery for the burial and prepared to head back home at 3 pm. The funeral director called the funeral home to see if the flowers had possibly been delivered. Again we were told our flowers had not arrived. We apologized to my sister-in-law for the failure. She said no apology was necessary and the important thing was we were there for her. We returned home Monday night comforted by a beautiful service for my brother. We will never use Avas Flowers again nor would we recommend this company to anyone.

No one had looked into it and I was told the same thing as the day before that they had to talk to their designer and would get back to me. No one got back to me.

I called again on the 3rd and was told someone would deliver it on the 5th. I said, my daughter's birthday was on the 2nd, I paid for service and that I no longer wanted the delivery. I just wanted my money back but that is where the real trouble began. I asked to speak to a supervisor and no one would let me. I was given the same runaround. I called again on the 5th and again was told, they would deliver but I just said no and stayed on the line til a supervisor finally came on. I finally, after a half hour with this supervisor got a refund. Along the way the representatives lied to me several times, were not helpful. They say they are a local family run company but it is not local or family run and who knows where the call center is as I spoke to five people along the way and no one spoke good English. I searched florists near their town and chose Avas Flowers. **BIG MISTAKE** I ordered a sympathy bouquet for $69.99 and requested same-day delivery with a specific note on a card to accompany the bouquet. I received a text at 3:00PM that afternoon saying the flowers were successfully delivered. I spoke to my friend a week later and she said they did not receive any flowers. I called Avas the next day and spent over 1/2 hour on the phone with a representative. I found out they used a local florist that claimed to have "successfully delivered" the bouquet and even got a signature. Spoke to my friend again and it turns out, the flowers were delivered to the WRONG address, there was no special message on the card as I requested, and no one signed for them as the residents were away on vacation!

These residents came home to find a dead floral arrangement on their steps and contacted my friend. I then called Avas and spent over 1/2 hour again on the phone. I was firmly told they DO NOT and WOULD NOT refund me. They insisted that the florist they used received a signature, spoke to the recipient, and left the arrangement! I was incredibly angry that they were blatantly lying to me because I knew the true story. Flowers delivered to wrong address, no one signed for them, and no one contacted my friend about the delivery. Avas, of course, offered to deliver a new arrangement at no extra cost (gee, thanks) and a $20 voucher to be used on their site the next time I use them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I will NEVER use them again.

Avas never discloses the names of their vendors either, so I couldn't even contact the supposed real florist that delivered! Do yourself a favor, DON'T USE AVAS FLOWERS FOR ANYTHING. On behalf of my family I ordered a large flower spray on a display stand from Avas to be delivered to the graveside service of an old family friend. To our dismay, at the service there was no large flower spray or any flowers at all delivered from Avas. (There was a small potted flower arrangement there that had yellow roses and white carnations that my spray order was supposed to have. I thought that might have been the Avas delivery, but I found out a week later from the deceased's family that arrangement was from the deceased's cousins in Texas.) I contacted Avas immediately after the service to complain and after a week they sent me a picture of the spray that had supposedly been created. While the spray in the picture matched what I had ordered, I told them that the spray was not at the graveside. They could not give me any reason for why the arrangement was not delivered to the graveside, nor where it ended up.

After much arguing with them where they only wanted to give me a partial refund, I did get a full refund. However, the sad and disappointing part of the experience was that no flowers from my family were at the service of a wonderful family friend on account of the incompetent service of Avas. I found Avas online and thought they were a local florist in the area. It appears now that they are a company located who knows where who contracts out to florists in the area of need. I have no idea who the actual florist was I so can't go to them directly to complain. I will not use Avas again and I recommend people contact an actual florist in their area of need instead of using an "Avas-type" middleman business.

Avas Flowers purports to be a local florist. They are NOT. I needed flowers delivered to my brother who had gone through open heart surgery. I was unable to be there and needed the flowers delivered at a specific time. One local florist was honest with me, and said they could not deliver at that time. I called Avas and they assured me they could deliver the flowers on the day and time I requested. I let them know how important it was that the flowers were delivered at that time on that day. They did not deliver the flowers until two days later. And they forwarded the orders to the same local florist who told me they could not deliver on the day I wished, and charged a LOT MORE. Avas is a national network that simply sends the order to a local florist and charges a lot extra. They make promises they have no intention of keeping. Do NOT use this florist.

I received a call back from them on the same day the flowers were ordered, from someone needing to confirm the address. I confirmed. Then, I received a call on 1/12/18 from someone else wanting to confirm the address! I confirmed AGAIN, and that person also confirmed the flowers would be delivered by 1/14/18. Then, I received another call on 1/15/18 from someone needing to confirm the address AGAIN, even though I had been assured the flowers would be delivered by 1/14/18!!! When I asked why the flowers had not already been delivered, I heard a bunch of gibberish that made absolutely no sense at all (of course, not English speaking!), along with a lot of worthless apologies and assurance that the flowers would be delivered THAT DAY!

Not surprisingly, the flowers WERE NOT delivered, and as of today, they still have not been delivered! When I called today for an explanation, I was told that the order was never put through to the local florist!!! That is the stupidest explanation I've ever heard! Then, she had the audacity to tell me they would be delivered today! No way!!! I demanded an immediate refund. We'll see if that happens! This place has got to be a scam... there is no way all of these people who have written bad reviews have the exact same experience with the same company and that company be able to still be in business. How can they even be allowed to make these bogus online transactions?! Never again!!!

For two days, she got excuses about why the flowers had not been delivered. When she told me who she had called, I started looking online and fails to tell her to cancel the order because this place is not a florist at all. It is a call center that contacts truly local florists and gives them a small portion of the advertised price to deliver an arrangement to the address. When the sender finds out the arrangement is way smaller, they complain to the delivering florist. Avas claims no responsibility. Many true local florists have blocked Avas or do not accept their orders. This is why their orders, when finally delivered, are brought by UPS in a box and are nothing like what was advertised. Do yourself a favor, contact your local florist and ask them for help.

By Tuesday afternoon the flowers had still not been delivered. I called and cancelled the order and they agreed to reimburse me. Six months later, I realized my credit card had never been reimbursed. I called Avas and they denied ever telling me they would reimburse me and said they had applied a credit to my account instead. I argued with them for an hour because I didn't want a store credit from a company with such terrible service. By the end of the hour, the customer service representative agreed to give me the reimbursement. When I asked him to send me an email verifying the reimbursement, he said he couldn't do it until after he was off the phone, but that I would get the email with 20 minutes.

When I didn't get the email or reimbursement, I contested the charge with my credit card company. After a few months, the credit card company denied my case because I was given the credit from the retailer. I tried to use the credit 8 months after the resolution of the claim, but was told my credit was no longer good because it had expired two months prior. When I said I was never informed of a deadline for using the credit, they said it was in the email they sent me, but I never got such an email in the first place! Avas Flowers customer service is designed to make you give up trying to resolve anything--endless transfers and stalling, putting you on hold for no reason, and lying seem to be their standard practice of operations. They advertise themselves as a small, local, family owned business, which is why I ordered from them in the first place. But they are a large, national business with a labyrinthine call center.

If you are considering ordering from this company, don't. I ordered a plant arrangement totaling $200.00 for my brother's memorial service and what was sent was something that looked like was cobbled together from the end-of-the day scraps at a low-budget floral shop (see picture). After complaining, Avas offered to send another arrangement to the memorial service which made no sense since everyone had left. Then, they offered a whopping $30.00 refund. I spoke to 2 managers who lied to me indicating they would call me back and that was over a year ago. I then involved my credit card company and Avas was uncooperative and I therefore I had to eat the entire charge. This company is the absolutely worst!

I ordered from Avas Flowers on 18 Dec 2017. My flower arrangement cost $84.92. The flowers were to be delivered 19 Dec 2017 by 12:30 pm in time for my uncle’s funeral. The location of the Avas representative was in New Jersey and my uncle’s funeral was in New York. I made sure Avas had the right address for delivery. The Avas representative also said they had his name in the computer already since other people called and ordered flowers for him. I felt good knowing my flowers along with others would be delivered and he'd have more flowers coming from other family and/or friends. Avas also said their driver would deliver them not UPS or FedEx.

The day of the funeral, I received a confirmation email from Avas stating the flowers were delivered at 12:43 pm which was a lie. Mind you they were supposed to be there at 12:30 pm. I asked my family members and they said no flowers were at the funeral for my uncle. Yes, the service was held with no flowers. I called the funeral home which is family owned and they said the flowers arrived "after" my family had left from the funeral. And that he was looking at them while I was on the phone with him. I called Avas again and spoke to 4 representatives (Dawn, Eduardo, Kay, and Bania). I was told someone would get back to me. I kept getting left on hold for long periods. The next day I spoke to a supervisor Bania and I had to beg for a refund. This is the first and last time I will ever order from them.

Do not order from this flower company!!! I will never order from Avas flowers again! I have just had an experience that completely overshadows the satisfaction (two previous occasions) I have had with said company in the past few years. Customer service is a negative number on a positive-only rating scale. I received no invoice for my order (Christmas bouquet for a friend) placed on 12/9/17; delivery was to take place on 12/15/17. There was no confirmation of delivery on 12/15/17 or through the weekend; I followed up with customer service today and it was only then that delivery was confirmed and the account message was updated.

The first phone call to Avas lasted 20 minutes with a rep who said she could take care of my concerns -- namely a $15.95 charge for service and handling to ensure the "Appropriate level of caretaking required" for my order as well as emailing communication regarding billing... Since when does a customer have to pay extra for expected "Service and handling" for a product such as flowers and ask for an invoice? The end result was one of no resolution despite her comments that she would resolve my issue and call me back within two hours.

Not surprisingly that never happened. I returned a call this afternoon and spent 27 minutes and 32 seconds on the phone with a "Samuel" who also did nothing to resolve any of my customer service issues, despite his constant reassurance that he could and would rectify the situation. The "Rectification" was a $5 credit to my cc account and a discount with the company to be applied to a future purchase; he could not refund the service fee or resolve communication issues because he would "Be fired." At no time was I transferred to a supervisor-type representative for additional assistance... You know, because "Samuel" could take care of my concerns. What makes "Samuel" think that a discount would be amenable? It won't be as I will never, ever order from avasflowers.Com again. Despicable and embarrassing reflection of the company. Fyi... This incident occurred in DeForest, Wisconsin... The franchising florist should be ashamed!

I ordered flowers for my sister 5 days before Thanksgiving to cheer her up after surgery. The flowers were sent with a dual purpose in mind - not only to cheer her, but to be a beautiful centerpiece on her Thanksgiving table. The arrangement came in 3 sizes and I ordered the middle size because that was what was pictured online. The bouquet that arrived looked nothing like what I had ordered. The flowers were wilted, the ferns were dry and curling, and the arrangement was so thin you could see the green foam holding the stems. On Thanksgiving Day - just 5 days after the arrangement had arrived - it had wilted further to an embarrassing state and was not fit for any holiday table! My sister was so embarrassed she never told me the condition of the arrangement. I learned about it when I asked her to send me a photo of her Thanksgiving table.

When I saw the photos, I called Customer Service but was told I needed to have contacted them within 48 hours of delivery to get a refund. After supplying the attached photos, they refunded me a total of $13.69 of my $65.24 payment. They refused to accept responsibility and I was forced to contact my credit card company to dispute the purchase. I RECOMMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER ONLINE FLOWER PROVIDER. DO NOT USE AVAS!

At Avas Flowers, the website advertises beautiful flower arrangements. When you click on the picture, small print says that all design pictures are of the deluxe variety. There are 3 tiers: standard, deluxe, and premium. I wanted to order the deluxe, but I was told that in order to get the flowers delivered on the same day that I would need to spend more money. I opted for the premium package. I was in a hurry. The guy gave me the total of $80 and some change. I figured I would get an itemized receipt (which I got after complaining.) What I got was nothing as nice as pictured.

They gave me cheap flowers that weren’t even nicely arranged and they put it in a cheap clear glass vase. The one pictured is silver. They charged me $6 for a ribbon tied in a bow. They gave me “free” shipping but charged me $15 service charge. My biggest complaint was the arrangement looked cheap (nothing like the picture) and they would do nothing to appease me. I wasn’t asking for a refund, but for them to make it right by sending out another arrangement more like I ordered!

I told her that it is past 4PM and that this is business address. Place will be closed in an hour. She stated that she cannot guarantee that flowers will be delivered in an hour and also that she has no means of contacting driver. She was rude, instead of being apologetic. I told her that there has to be some resolution as they did not fulfill their side of the bargain and did not meet delivery date. She told me she cannot do anything and they will re-try delivery following day free of charge to me!!!

I told her that I should of been compensated instead of being excused from the delivery charge as it is clearly company’s fault. Her response was "This is all information I have". I asked her to directly me to the manager, maybe someone else can help me. She denied my request and stated that she "customer relation manager" and no one else can help. My conversation was not going anywhere. After fighting she stated that she will give me 10% back to my card. She said that I will get email confirmation. I wish I had seen the reviews of this florist before I wasted my time and money on a product that was never delivered. The reviews are horrible and here is one more. DON'T EVER USE THEM! I wanted to send a special Thanksgiving Centerpiece to a special family in Carson, California. I live in north San Diego County. I googled florists in Carson and Avas Flowers came up. I assumed they were local to Carson (They are not local to anywhere). I couldn't get the order placed online, so I called their customer service and spoke to Brian. I told him the name of the Centerpiece and the price. He said the candles would be $10.00 extra which I thought odd, since the picture showed the candles.

He told me he could have the flowers delivered on Thanksgiving. I gave him the address and my cc number. On December 1st, I hadn't heard from the flower recipient, which was odd. I finally texted him and he said he had not received any flowers. I called Avas and a lady with an oriental accent told me she would check into it and call me back. She did not. On December 4th I called again and it sounded like I was speaking to the same lady. She assured me, by putting me on hold, that she had contacted the florist, and they had been delivered. I asked for the name of this florist, and she refused to give it to me. I asked for a refund and she said they would not do that. I called my credit card company and filed a complaint and they took the $77.15 off of my account until they do their own investigation. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

After some discussion the rep advised me that they could deliver something similar and they would give me an "upgrade" for the inconvenience. Well, the flowers still arrived 2 days late, with no balloons and nothing even CLOSE to what I ordered. They were some sort of small purple and white flower (NOT fall colors) and only a few were even open. The buds were falling off! Certainly not worth the $75 I paid. CONSUMER ALERT. Buyer beware of AVAS FLOWERS!! This is a complaint about my experience with Avas Flowers but hopefully the last part (“Facts you need to know”) is informative for future unfortunate patrons of this company. The Situation: I placed an order on 10/25 for a loved one’s upcoming funeral as they were on life support and I realized that their demise was imminent. Since they were a lover of the game of Golf I wanted a creative “Golf Themed” spray plus I wanted to give the local florist enough time (~2 weeks) to, create a memorable arrangement.

At the time of the order I did not know any details of the funeral but knew it would be in Chiefland, Florida. Upon paying for my order ($250) I received a confirmation (order # **) with MY Atlanta home address as delivery and a date of November 1st. I called back immediately to correct both of these mistakes and the rep said no problem since the person had not passed. They needed to put something in the order but assured me that my order was “ON HOLD” until I called back. I called back on 10/29 as she passed the day before and the representative not only took my information, but had all the funeral information & location from the obit in front of him. We ended the call with an agreed delivery date of 11/10 @ 10 am in Chiefland First Baptist Church.

I received another confirmation email and it had all the wrong information but when I called a different rep reassured me by reciting all the important information on delivery and said that they would “obviously would be making multiple deliveries to that church that day” (implying they were local to Chiefland, AND that’s what their website and voice message states). I went to the church at 10 am for an 11am service, and saw no flowers so I called Avas. After a very stressful 15 mins of being put on hold, a rep came on and stated that my order had been delivered to my house in Atlanta (7 hours away). I was puzzled because they were a local florist so I checked my home security system and nothing had been delivered. At this point I had been on the call for 30 mins and the rep had me back on hold.

When she returned I asked her if they could still get flowers delivered for the service (Chiefland is a small town). She said no but they she was listening to the recording of my original order to see whose fault it was, REALLY? Since they now knew that I caught them in a lie on delivery thanks to my home security and the fact that they were NOT a local florist as advertised. I knew the call was going nowhere and I had to get into the church for the service. I asked them to have a manager call me at 4pm sharp as I would be driving home to Atlanta.

My call came in at 4:24pm from the original call center rep and not a Manager. After 20 more minutes I ask for a manager and finally got one (I think). I said, Bottom-line this special memory that I entrusted in your company to deliver went without any “Golf Themed” flowers as ordered and paid for. The “manager's” solution was to send the daughter flowers upon return back to New York AND STILL CHARGE ME!!! I suggested a proper resolution was, send the flowers at no charge with a letter of apology and refund my original order as I had at least 8 different frustrating experiences with the company. The response: “NO”! I then asked if I could have a Manager, Director, VP or CEO’s name so I can write them... (Response) “NO”.

At this point I knew that I was dealing with people who could care less about anything other than where their next dollar could be scammed from so I hung up and filed a dispute with my American Express card. I am not sure how these people are still in business and not being pursued by the BBB and other agencies for false advertising (local). The one thing I am sure of is, the local florist that they represent have no idea how they are running their business. Finally I will be posting this entire complaint on every site possible as I understand people make mistakes in life, however it’s how you correct your mistake that counts and allows you to become a trusted member of our society.

FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE DEALING WITH AVAS FLORIST! AVAS is NOT Local! - No local store front (brick and mortar), they represent contracted local florist but they are actually located at 300 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, New Jersey with corporate headquarters at 373 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. This is clear false advertising on their site. AVAS call center is not even located in the UNITED STATES. To be fair there may be more than one call center but the only one I could find is located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico (Ph.: +52 662 463 4786).

After review of multiple consumer sites for complaints here is what I found (scale 1-5 w/5 best). Better Business Bureau - (Avas is NOT accredited) 283 complaints / 6 resolved. **- 3222 reviews / rating: 1.3. ConsumerAffairs - 682 reviews / rating 1.0. YELP - 96 reviews / rating 1.5. Facebook- 30 reviews / rating 1.0. Florist Detective 101 reviews/ rating - “F”. To be fair I did find one site called ** that gave them an average rating, but I am not sure if the site is reputable as every other site I reviewed talked about law suits and petitions with awful ratings.

Remember how the call center rep. refused to give me any names of any leadership for me to contact? Well with the power of Google, Facebook and LinkedIn, I was able to come up with a few names. Then they told me they had been delivered, but they couldn't confirm who signed for them. Then they told me they couldn't do anything else that day and I had to call back today. I have called 3 times today. The flowers were never delivered, but they are telling me that they can't refund me until they speak with whoever delivered them, but they won't tell me who the local florist is. Call customer service and they said there's nothing they can do because I waited a week to call them. I tried to explain to him that I answered an email to ** which ask me about my experience with the florist. I answered the questions that was a week ago and never got a reply so I called today and he wants to know why I waited a week. Gave me the run-around and would not do anything about the size of the arrangement. Total rip-off.

I paid for a deluxe standing arrangement. Very sad thought it was a mom-and-pop operation. Felt like I was calling Pakistan the customer service with no regard. They charged me for two sympathy cards for the arrangement and two banners which I only ordered one of each that they did refund but they would not do anything about the Chinese arrangement. Very disappointing. Not something you can make up after a funeral.

Again, NO DELIVERY!!! Avas called & left me (the recipient) a message this morning at 11:15 am so now it is no longer a surprise to me!!! I returned Avas calI was put on hold and then asked if they could deliver to my home address!!! My work address was given yesterday in the original order because no one is at home during the day.

This is absolutely ridiculous that a man is working on a pipeline hundreds of miles away & 5 states away, he places an order very early in the morning to ensure same day delivery for his girlfriend's birthday because he isn't home, he pays $122 for an order & doesn't get it that day OR even the next day, but they said that may be able to next week!!! The website did an auto fill in for the hospital that she was at and took out the room number she was in. I realized this immediately after I finished my order and called customer service to make the change. They told me since the room number was not on the original order that the bouquet would not be able to be delivered that day because they had already sent out the delivery. Really not sure how that’s possible when I put in the order 5 minutes before!

The lady assured me that the delivery would be made the next day, Sunday. My friend got the flowers late Tuesday night. When I talked to the woman in customer service about getting a refund for not being able to get same day delivery she offered me $10 for a future in store purchase and I just received. Now I understand that the arrangement sent will not be exact but seriously the arrangement sent looked horrible.

I have called customer service at Avas and they tried to justify what was sent and said they might be able to give a 10% refund. I told Avas not to insult me and ask to speak with a supervisor to resolve issue. I am still waiting on someone from Avas to call me back. Avas apparently does not care about their brand image nor customer satisfaction. I feel all they care about is hooking someone else for delivery of sub-standard arrangements and taking your money. To start out, I ordered flowers from a website that looked like a smaller locally owned flower shop. I was ordering a sympathy bouquet to be sent to a funeral. The website touted next day delivery, a discount code for I believe was 40% off, I can't remember for sure. It also touted free local delivery. I ordered flowers on Friday afternoon to be delivered to the funeral home on Monday morning.

The first red flag should have been the order confirmation page said one amount and when I approved it they tacked on a $15.99 "handling fee" which had not been disclosed previously. I wish I had a screenshot. I let it go because it was still less money than what the florist in an adjacent town was going to charge. I received an email with links to check the status of my order, everything seemed ok.

Monday, 5hrs 15minutes after the funeral services began I received a text message that said there was a problem with the delivery. I called the toll free number and it was then I realized this was NOT a local florist. I was told there was an issue with the floral designer and the arrangement did not make it to the funeral. They offered to make it right and deliver the bouquet to a family member the next day. So I gave them the information.

Tuesday they contacted the recipient and left a voicemail, she returned their call within 10-15 minutes. They did not return her call. Tuesday afternoon I received a second text with a message that there was a problem with the delivery. I called back and told them they missed the funeral and since they missed the opportunity to make it right I wanted my money back. The CSR tried to talk me into leaving my order with them and they would "give you a nice fruit basket instead."

I asked for my money back again and told them if they failed to do so I would call the credit card co and have the charge overturned. They put me on hold and after ten minutes I got an email confirmation of a refund to my charge card. (Which has yet to appear on my statement.) The flowers delivered yesterday anyways, ironically about 30 minutes after I demanded a refund. The flowers were not what I ordered, not even close. I'm giving them another business day for the credit to post or I'm calling the credit card company. I would avoid using this company at all cost.

Have your representative listen to what the customer is requesting rather than cutting the customer off repeatedly by saying, "I'm sure we can create something you will love." Because what I got was something that I did not love and didn't even use for my wedding. After paying over $70 for a bouquet and was small, skimpy, and looked more appropriate for a 5 yr old junior bride, I ran out to Publix and a random young man who worked there, who kept remarking that he wasn't a certified florist but he would be happy to help me, helped me create a larger, fuller, much more beautiful bouquet for $12.

I only wish I could upload the pics of both bouquets so everyone can see. I won't be using or recommending Ava's Flowers to anyone. The first picture (all hot pink with an array of flowers) is what I wanted and what I described to the representative as I was being cut off. The 2nd pic, tiny bouquet with 6 roses is what Ava's delivered. The 3rd pic is what the young man at Publix made for $12.

What was delivered is an arrangement smaller than the original depicted on the website (let alone the larger one sold to me for $20 more) plus, I ordered the arrangement without balloons (that was emphasized) because my 98 year old mother in law is allergic to materials in balloons. It was delivered with balloons. I also modified my order without pink carnations to be replaced with white carnations. You guessed it - the order was delivered with pink carnations. The order rep confirmed each of these requests. Avas misrepresented the arrangement what was sold to me vs what was depicted (I have photographs of what was delivered) and they ignored my two additional requests.

We called the next day as I was unable to check the status of the order online, and was told the flowers had not been delivered as promised, but they would certainly be delivered that day with an "even more beautiful arrangement". Needless to say, we were upset that the flowers had not been delivered as they were to be a fun surprise for our friend's birthday.

We asked to speak to a manager to explain why the order was not delivered as promised. The agent was very difficult to understand and after many requests to speak to his manager, he finally told us the manager would call us back within 3 minutes. He also told us that he was going to give us a reduction in the price of our order due to their mistake. We asked that they include an apology note with the flowers saying that the delay was their fault. He told us all of this would be done and confirmed in an email he would immediately send us.

Needless to say, we never got either a phone call or an email! I called again today, just to be sure the flowers had indeed been delivered, and guess what? Still no delivery! One star is pushing it, but apparently you can't give no stars. I ordered flowers for my daughter and son-in-law’s anniversary. I thought I was ordering locally. Now, I'm not sure if I even ordered in the U.S. I was told the flowers would be delivered that day. At around 5:30, I received an email that they couldn't be delivered until the next day. Which, totally bummed me out because I would have ordered something else from somewhere else had I known that they couldn't be delivered when they said they could. Anyway I received a notice that they were delivered. However, they have not been delivered. I called to cancel and the gentleman on the phone was not surprised that I was dissatisfied and said "she didn't receive the flowers at all, not even petals." I swear you can't make this up. He put me on hold for about 3 minutes then came back on the line and gave me a reference number for my credit (which, by the way is my order confirmation # plus today's date).

Then I received another call that the flowers were out for delivery. I told the gal that I had cancelled my order. However, she had no record of that and put me on hold. So, a few things that I've gathered along the way. When they ask you for comments that ask that you provide them with your email address and order number. Don't do it. I believe they use this info as proof of satisfied customers. Also, they registered me for an account, which I didn't register for. I also checked the remove me from your listing box. They sent me a link and when I clicked on the link, received the page could not be found message. I got tired of being hung up on so I called AMEX to dispute the charge and told them that I didn't think that this was a reputable company. Hopefully, someone can shut these crackpots down.

Including discounts, I spent $160 on my first order (it was beautiful, but looked like a $75 arrangement) and $100 on the second order (giving Avas a second chance). The second order was even more disappointing. It was for a funeral and I picked a specific, very cheery bouquet with white daisies and yellow lilies.

Because of my first disappointing experience, Avas was going to upgrade my order. The bouquet that was delivered was a sad peach color, and again looked like it cost about $75. I let the florist know that I was disappointed and wanted to return the bouquet, but the only option they gave me was to pick up the bouquet at the funeral home during the viewing.

I didn't want to upset the family, so I told them not to pick up the bouquet. Avas then offered a credit on my next purchase. Needless to say, I will not be spending any more money at Avas. Avas initially reached out via email and voice mail to remedy the situation but it quickly became apparent the goal was to upsell products not resolve the problem. Avas first offered a solution (via email) of $10 off the next order. That was refused for obvious reasons – it’s inadequate and requires an additional purchase. Customer next spoke to a customer service representative on 10/17/17 who heard the complaint, made an offer of $10 off the next order plus a 10% discount. The customer said that a product was purchased online in good faith, therefore the only remedy was to deliver the product or to refund the money.

The Avas representative stated the photo shown is the Premium arrangement. The customer pointed out the website states clearly that the arrangement shown is the Deluxe arrangement (see website snip - Photo 4). The Avas representative promised to call within a day or two with a solution. During this 19-minute phone call, the customer was put on hold four times for a total of 12 minutes. No customer service representative called back as promised.

I gave clear simple instructions on how to deliver the items. I provided the name and phone number of the recipient, and further, I have had flowers delivered to her on several prior occasions with the same instructions, and it worked out perfectly. This should have been easy. Instead I get a message on the morning of my daughter's birthday saying the flowers were delivered, when the instructions clearly stated that the recipient would not be available to receive the delivery until afternoon. I called customer service to ask where the flowers had been delivered, waited a LONG time on hold and was finally told that the flowers and balloons had been left in the mail room. I called my daughter and told her to go pick up her delivery at the mail room.

She walked over to the only mail office on the Brown University Campus, and there was no delivery waiting for her. At that point neither I nor my daughter had any more time to deal with the situation. Her birthday came and went. No delivery. The next day I called customer service to ask for my money back and spent many minutes on hold, while the service representative tried to contact the flower designer, which she failed to do. She said she would call me back and never did. On the day after a birthday delivery, when the delivery failed to happen, they needed to just refund my money. At that point it is irrelevant WHAT happened. From the customer point of view, I ordered flowers, paid for the order and NEVER got my flowers. This is simple. They owe me the money back.

I ordered flowers for my wife Thursday night around 1 am. The website said it would be delivered Friday between 10 am-1 pm. So I said, "Great that will work." I checked the track my order link on Friday, the first time I checked it the message said out for delivery. After four hours had passed I checked it again. This time it said the driver had to reschedule it. I did not receive a call or an email stating this. So Saturday I checked the delivery link and it said it was delivered. So I called to ask why it was showing delivered when nothing arrived? I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and was told it would be delivered at 1 pm Saturday. So I called my wife around 2:30 pm and nothing had been delivered.

I called again and asked the same question now super irritated on the level being pissed off and ready to lose my mind on customer service. After being on hold for 20 minutes I was told I would receive a call once their local vendor called them back. I told the representative that if I did not either receive the delivery by 6 pm or a refund I would be calling their corporate office. They never returned my phone call. The flowers were finally delivered at 5:30 pm... I also paid for a red vase and it came in a clear vase... I would not recommend this company to anyone ever. Needless to say their service is subpar and they are overpriced especially with the lack of customer service...

I ordered flowers from Ava’s Flowers because another local florist who couldn’t deliver because of a parade in town recommended them. I thought they were local. I placed my order and repeated the address to the attendant at least 3 times because they weren’t paying attention and got it wrong several times. The flowers never arrived. I didn’t find out for a month. When I called them after getting charged $62+ dollars they tracked down my order and listened to a tape of my order. They sent the flowers to the wrong street address. It was the order taker's fault and they admitted as much. No refund! They offered to give me a discount on a new order. I was stunned and said no. Don’t use them. They are not responsible for their own mistakes. Horrible company!

Not only did the charges ring up $15 higher at the end but my friend never got her flowers. Here it is two full days later and I told them just to cancel the friggin order and refund my money. The Indian people at the call center were very nice, but seriously?? I wasn't even made aware of a problem until 28 hours after I had placed the order. They told me that what I had ordered wasn't in stock. The man on the phone assured me that they would upgrade my order and something beautiful would get delivered.

Well, next day a full two days after I placed the order I got another phone call telling me the phone number wasn't working for my friend and if I had an alternative location to deliver her order. I told her to refund my money. After waiting on phone for a good 15 minutes, money was refunded to my credit card. I will never use again and would encourage others to never use them! Florists should also run as fast as they can from offering AVAS's service.

I would give ZERO stars, if possible, because Avas Flowers was a complete FAIL. On Sunday, I placed an online order for birthday balloons with Tuesday delivery to my son at the school where he teaches, and paid for "express" service (delivery before 1 PM). At 5:00 PM, I receive an email from customer service, asking me to call concerning the order. It appears that this business cannot fulfill orders to that town, despite the fact they advertise that they serve that area. The customer service operator admitted that YES their website claims that they serve that town, but NO they do NOT in fact have a "designer" in that area.

The alternative she offered were ridiculous. The balloons could be delivered to me (in Missouri) and I could take them to the recipient (in Texas), OR she could give me "store credit" toward a future purchase. I had to demand a refund to my credit card, and it remains to be seen whether that will happen. A reputable business does NOT accept orders that it knows it cannot deliver, immediately charge the credit card, wait two days to unapologetically tell the customer that it cannot deliver, and then balk at refunding the purchase price. FRAUD!

Then, I was offered a 25% refund. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on a long hold and they hung up. This is absurd! The flowers were nice, but wilted within a day. I did send an email complaint with the pictures attached as well but no one is getting back to me. What they show on their site and what you get is not "similar as possible, same look and feel" as they say on the site and on your receipt. Wow, just messed up thieves! This beautiful bouquet was for our daughter's first day on her new job.

I thought it would as beautiful if not at least close but really? I could have gone to Giant SuperMarket and bought 2/$9.00 bouquets that would have blown away what they sent and delivered them myself. I am really disappointed!!! SO my friend who sent them thought my phone call was to thank her for the flowers. I said no... The flowers arrived the next day but they did not ring the bell or knock and if I had not been vigilant in looking for them I would not have known and as it was very poor weather (post hurricane status) there was a possibility that the flowers would be ruined or so I thought. The arrangement arrived in a very tall box (36 in H) and inside were 5 small sunflowers that were in very poor condition. The sunflowers’ stems were 8 inches and the sunflowers were not in full bloom and were 2 in Diameter.

Last Friday morning I went online at the Avas Flowers website and spent an hour scrolling through the various arrangements to pick out the one that I wanted to send my daughter-in-law after her surgery. I even selected and paid for the upgrade to Premium to ensure that the arrangement would look beautiful. They were to be delivered on Saturday. On Monday I contacted her to see if she had received them. She had not. I contacted Avas Flowers to find out why and was told that the local florist that they contracted with wanted an additional $12 to send the arrangement that I wanted, or they could send a "Designers Choice". I had a difficult time understanding what the representative was saying (likely being handled overseas) but the bottom line was they would not fulfill my order unless I paid them more, or they could let the florist that was trying this bait-and-switch scheme decide on what my daughter-in-law received.

Last I checked, that was extortion, and that's illegal. Furthermore, why would I let someone who is trying to extort money from me make any decision for me? I asked to speak to a supervisor but, of course, one was not available. I even asked for the name of the florist with which they have the contract with but they wouldn't give that info either. I finally told them to cancel the order and refund my money. Just to make sure their accounting office knows, I contacted my bank and filed a request to reverse the charge on my credit card. Then I went online to find the name of their corporate offices and sent them a complaint as well. And now I am here, trying to help the next victim who thinks ordering from Avas Flowers will be an acceptable option avoid the terrible ordeal I went through. To be fair, I have used Avas Flowers two other times and was pleased, but 2 out of 3 is a really bad record for a consumer goods business.

I ordered my daughter flowers in another state for her 25th. Delivery was not successful and she was told to pick up the flowers the following day. I chose the location on the Internet based on the ZIP Code thinking it was close to her home. When she went to pick up the flowers the next day the drive was 35 to 40 minutes and when she got to the location which was at a hospital she found out that the flower shop closed at 4 PM. I had no idea that it close that early from what I read online. Most people do not get off that early and she darn sure does not.

It took me two days on the phone to get my refund which is still pending. My email states that it will take up to 10 days to get my refund. Therefore this company is making money with our interest while we wait. It is by far the worst experience in ordering flowers that I have ever had! My daughter was so frustrated she doesn't even want flowers which is very upsetting to me! Please please please do not even try this flower shop. They should be closed down for fraud!

I reluctantly agreed as it was too late to find another same day delivery. 30 minutes later, I received a second call stating the vase I ordered wasn't available. In the 2nd call I found out this was not a local shop as advertised and was not given the local shop name. At this time I pulled up the reviews. I called several local shops until I found the one fulfilling the order. She stated she refused the order at noon when it came in due to not having any of those flowers.

They waited over 3 hours to notify me. See pics for ordered vs delivered.

The recipient texted a pic and I could not believe they called that an upgrade from the $64 original order. I emailed then called customer service. The first solution was to pick up the flowers and make another the next day. Is flower repo a real thing? Crazy! Like everyone else, I get offered the 10% off and that good feeling that comes with sending flowers is replaced by regret for not having checked the reviews. I've refused the discount and insisted instead of punishing the local shop, they waive their $15 handling fee. I'm still waiting for a callback.

I ordered a funeral arrangement on September 5th to be delivered September 9, 2017 for my best friend's mother who had passed away. She loved lavender so I picked an arrangement from the "lavender group". I upgraded from a standard to a deluxe arrangement. I paid extra for a lavender ribbon. The container was to be lavender in color. The arrangement made it to the funeral home but I could not find it. When I asked where it was I was directed to the organ AWAY from all the other arrangements/sprays, etc. That definitely was not an upgraded version of what I was told I would be receiving. I asked specifically if it would be LAVENDER roses and was told yes, that is why they called it the LAVENDER COLLECTION. Well, the roses were pale pale pink with dark pink edges, NO NO NO Lavender roses anywhere. The container was to be lavender... It was a dark grey/black and there was NO LAVENDER ribbon that I paid extra for.

Needless to say, I was embarrassed by the size and the fact it was NOT what I had ordered. When I called, like so many of the other reviews I've been reading, the MAIN number only listens to you and then immediately apologizes and offers a 10% refund. THIS IS SO VERY UNACCEPTABLE!!! If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would!!! My overall experience was HORRIBLE, to say the least. The initial ordering process was smooth and gave me reassurance that my flowers would be ordered on a very important day (my military retirement) for a very important event (retirement ceremony where I'd give flowers to my wife, mother, mother-in-law and sisters). I even paid extra to have them delivered prior to 11 am that morning. At 1045 that morning, I called Avas Flowers to figure out where my flowers were since I had to leave at 11. I was disconnected. I called again and was disconnected again. Finally, needing to leave for my ceremony, my sister took over and she too was disconnected two times. Eventually, she was told that the order had been canceled THAT MORNING and that someone had tried to call. That is complete BS, since my call record clearly shows that there were no attempted calls that morning.

Long story short, my buddy had to go to a damn grocery store to get flowers for the most important day of my military career. It was an absolute joke to deal with any of the representatives after the initial order since it became readily apparent that they were hanging up on me because they didn't want to give me the bad news that the order was cancelled (apparently because the local flower shop said the distance was too far... They couldn't have figured that out the week prior when I ordered the damn flowers!).

Hands down, it was THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I have ever experienced with any company, and I will NEVER do business with Avas Flowers again. They should be ashamed of themselves for such a horrible business - I will do whatever I can to go out of my way to ensure that nobody else in the Clarksville area ever does business with Avas Flowers again. They assured me that the arrangement would be just as nice. I said that would be fine. If I had been thinking I would of realized the arrangement consisted of roses and carnations. What florist doesn't have those 2 flowers?

They then asked if they could deliver it the following day since it was too close to closing, again acting like they were a local florist. They told me that they would call the recipient and tell them there was a delivery for them and would be delivered the following day. I said fine. They NEVER called my mom to let her know. The flowers weren't delivered until late on the 29th and the arrangement looked nothing like what I had ordered. My mom sent me a picture of the arrangement and it looked cheap and mostly greens with very few flowers. The arrangement I ordered was all flowers. First they fail to deliver on promise. I ordered flowers for a funeral. Never delivered. They refused to reimburse the full amount. They had the nerve to call me the day after and said has the funeral happened yet? Wow. After reading the reviews, I doubt they will even give partial credit like their email confirmation says. I disputed with Amex who handled it professionally.

Could not make them understand that they must have delivered it to a wrong house. I paid $79.02. I made calls & sent emails, but all they said "we don't keep records", & it was delivered. What company doesn't keep records for income taxes.

I ordered an arrangement to be delivered... I paid 75 dollars and the arrangement contained maybe 20 bucks worth flowers and looked like a 2 year old made it. The website didn't give the 10%, and customer service people offered a 10% discount which was still overpriced for what they delivered. This company is unethical and they will not give you money's worth.

When I placed my order I told the rep it was imperative my order be delivered on Sunday for my clients birthday. I received confirmation and it said 8/27 or 8/28. I called back and said that I was up charged for the next day delivery and they said they would deliver by 4:00pm on 8/27 which of course they did not. I called them and they said they would issue a store credit. I was like "no way, I would ever order from your company again, I want a refund." This company is terrible. It was a birthday gift and needed to be delivered on my clients birthday. Terrible and disappointing. How can a place like this still be in business and making loads of money? Don't use them.

I ordered flowers for my niece's first day of college. They were supposed to be delivered on a specific day and after two days, still no flowers. I tried calling the company, and after being put on hold for a very long time was told they could not get in touch with the florist who was supposed to have delivered them. I asked to have my money refunded and was told no because they still had to investigate if they were delivered or not. They weren't! So now, the first day is long gone and we still have no flowers and I am out $85! I also did not like how the saleswoman was very pushy while I was ordering and tried to get me to pay for a lot of extras, like a colored vase or a ribbon around it. Will never order from them again! Very poor customer service!

I requested flowers for my aunt's funeral. They were delivered on time but started wilting the night they were delivered. By the next day it was embarrassing to have them graveside. I paid 150.00 and the arrangement was small and did not have any fragrance. I complained and they refunded me 12.49... There are better businesses out there.

I placed an order for delivery on 8/17/17 at 9:47 PM for delivery on 8/18/17. I placed several calls as it was getting later in the day and was assured that the delivery would be made. It wasn't and after attempting to console a very distraught girlfriend, called to cancel the order. They weren't there of course so I called the next morning 8/19 at 10:00 AM. To make matters worse the clerk that answered the phone said that I had selected "Flex Delivery," which I had not, which meant that they could deliver it on 8/18 or 8/19.

This was not selected in any way, shape or form but is automatically added to the invoice they send you after the order has been placed. I verified this by trying another order. They were advised to cancel the order. An attempted delivery was made on 8/19 at approximately 11:00. I am still attempting to deal with them to get a refund but will most likely be headed to the US attorney's office consumer fraud department in New Jersey and California to get this resolved.

Ordered flowers for my Aunt's 91st Birthday, florist confirmed delivery on requested day, but did not deliver until the following day. Flowers were late and ugly, dead by next day, not designed well, ugly... Company was unwilling to do anything other than give me a $5. refund. They don't care and are rip offs. Go with Harry & David next time or Farmgirl Flowers.

Ordered flowers for a funeral on 8/14 to be delivered on 8/18. I was unable to attend and wanted to make sure my presence was represented. Today, 3 DAYS AFTER THE FUNERAL, I get a call from them telling me they were unable to deliver the flowers. The manager kept offering another delivery at a reduced rate, but I'm not sending flowers AFTER the funeral. This company is the worst. Stay away from them at all costs. They will disappoint you.
