I ordered a Christmas arrangement which was in the shape of a tree with red and white flowers with Christmas bulb ornaments in a gold box (which is what their site showed). What came was a very poor representation with limited flowers and decorations and a water stained box. When I contacted customer service they asked me for a picture which I complied. The day after review they felt the arrangement was close enough to their picture and for me to check their policy on what was comparable! I paid $100 for an arrangement that I wouldn’t have even paid $25 for and gave me a $20 credit on my account! As if I would order from them again! Please do not use this service as I should have used a local florist whom I know would have given me a much better product and customer service.

Ordered same day delivery of a large flower arrangement. Delivery was done that day which was great, however the size of the 'large' arrangement that was ordered was pathetic. Customer service did not resolve this thus we will not order from Avas Flowers again.

Ordered Thanksgiving flower arrangement for centerpiece of an out of state family gathering. Flowers never arrived and spoke to 5 dif customer reps who lacked ability to take action. Main office did not communicate with local florist to make sure delivery happened.

If I could give no stars, I would in a heartbeat. I ordered my friend flowers that were supposed to be purple (her favorite color). I got a notification that the flowers had been delivered. Well, they weren't delivered. I called Avas Flowers and they said they would call me back after they research and find out what happened. I never got a call back. Hours later the flowers did get delivered but they weren't anything like what I ordered. White flowers instead of purple. I complained and sent photos. The response I got was a short apology giving me a 10% refund ($5.00). DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE!!

Please do not order anything from Avas Flowers. On 12/4/18 I order a delivery of flowers for my sister's birthday in Milwaukee. They do not deliver as promised and when you call to express concern the customer services place you on hold for a very long time. I wished I have researched this company more. This is not a reputable company. It taught me a lesson.

I would rate this florist 'zero' stars if it were an option. I sent flowers to a friend in a nursing home who was unable to respond that they were delivered. I never received 'delivered' notice from these folks, so I checked 'order status' on their website and all I could get over the next few days was an "order status pending" message. Finally, after several days I called the customer service number and spoke with a young woman who could not tell me if the order had been delivered or not. She told me she would call the florist used (in the town of delivery) and would get back to me. I asked for the number of the florist who handled the delivery and she offered my phone number back to me (as the number for the florist). I explained that it was MY phone number and that I did not need my own phone number. I needed the number of the florist, at which time she gave me the number I had just called - the customer service number - that hooked me up with her.
I asked her a third time and she said then that it "is against our policy" to give out the phone number of the local florist used. I asked to speak with her manager so she put me on hold. At this point I figured I'd never hear from her again, but she did return to the phone to tell me the "manager is busy right now." She told me she would call the local florist at 9 a.m. (when they opened) and would get back to me to let me know if the flowers had been delivered. She also told me I would then (at 9:00 a.m.) be able to speak with her manager. It's been three days now and I still have not received a callback. In the meantime, I called my friend's daughter to have her check to see if the flowers ever arrived - and they did, but she was unable to find out what day they had been delivered. I am planning on canceling my credit card and ordering a new one. Too many things about this experience tell me this business is a scam.

Placed an order 12/3/18 for same day delivery. Charge hit my account for $75 with a confirmation. Received a text that the flowers were delivered same day. I confirmed with my friend and she did not receive flowers. I tried to reach them via email links they sent me and by phone with no success. This company is a fraud! BUYER BEWARE. I cancelled my card (debit) and issued a complaint with my bank against the business. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.

If you want to pay over $80 for an arrangement that looks like it was assembled by a child, by all means order from Avas. I rarely write reviews of any kind, especially negative ones, but felt so strongly others should be warned about this business which drew me in with its claims of same-day delivery and farm fresh flowers. I ordered flowers Saturday morning for my elderly grandfather who lives in an assisted living facility in the same city as Avas and was promised they would be delivered first thing Monday morning. Still not same day, but ok. They were not delivered until almost 6 pm Monday.
I ordered a basket of flowers in the shape of a dog - a standard arrangement if you go through 1-800-Flowers or another similar service, but I wanted to use a small business. I was told the price would be $65. Somehow my card ended up being charged almost $90 when all was said and done (they charged a separate fee just for a bow)!!! The only thing I’m thankful for is my family’s sense of humor, because I couldn’t do anything but either laugh or cry at the “arrangement” they delivered. “Pinterest fail” was the phrase which came to mind. I’m all for patronizing local businesses and will continue to do so... but NOT this one!

I made a mistake of ordering from this company, I got a text saying, the flowers was delivered. I called my friend to verify but they had not been. I finally got a hold of someone after trying several time and being hung up multinational time, I was also transferred and then again being hung up on! After I finally getting a hold of someone they wanted another 20.00 to deliver the flowers. Order at your own risk!!!

I placed an order to have a bouquet of flowers delivered. The person I dealt with was very quick to take my credit card number and quick to promise the flowers would be delivered the following day. However, a week later there are still no flowers. I’ve called to request a full refund but have been told a credit cannot be issued until the designer has been contacted. Unfortunately for me, they can’t seem to contact the designer.

WARNING! What a rip-off! I paid 100 dollars for a large Floral arrangement for my daughter's hospital maternity stay. I paid for the largest arrangement with some fresh flowers. I should have gone elsewhere. The arrangement wilted the second day, some flowers were not even placed in the water vase but hanging on to other flowers. I wrote them only of course, for them to take the arrangers side. I even sent a picture of the wretched thing. What a sham! But, to Avas' detriment, all our friends, relatives and family will not use this absurdly costly and lousy Florist. Plus the arrangement was small. I could have purchased flowers and made an arrangement much better than this and saved my money!

I ordered an arrangement with the title She's Got Style, She's Got Grace. The picture was full of hot pink flowers and roses and bright blue flowers. It was for my daughter and I picked it specifically for the colors. Rather than a bouquet in a vase she received a square low arrangement with none of the flowers pictured. It was virtually identical to what her roommate received to fulfill a different order. The good news is that the delivery was on time. Otherwise, it was a flop. Very disappointed. Will never use them again.

I'm giving this company two stars because they sent the arrangement in the time that they promised. The arrangement, however, did not look like the picture. It was small and round. It had two white candles. The whole arrangement was done in yellow and orange. White candles were so out of place. The arrangement looked like something one could get in the grocery store for $24. I paid $80! Upon calling them they said "substitutions" were allowed. They credited me for the bow $5, Had they put the bow, it would have overwhelmed the flowers! They offered me $20 off my next order. Really??? I won't be ordering from them again!

Do not order flowers from this company! They ripped me off. I ordered two floor plants for my daughter who lives out of state, they got one of the plants from Von's Grocery Store and had it delivered with Doordash. It was to be a 4' floor plant and ended up being a small table top plant, I paid $80.00 for a $10.00 plant!!! Customer service is no help in resolving this issue and wanted to issue me a store credit for $20... Like I would ever use their service again. Their website is misleading saying they are a local florist when in fact they are nothing more than a reseller. Stay away from this company.

They advertise same day delivery to Bethesda, MD. My flowers were ordered last Wednesday, and supposed to be delivered on Friday morning. I kept checking and was assured they were on their way. Finally, the package was delivered BY USPS on Monday evening. If I had known this was not a local florist, I would have ordered from Bethesda Florist. Avas should not be permitted to advertise same day delivery - NO!

Never received the flowers, customer service is a JOKE! Nobody is willing to help and they just place you on hold and expect you to hang up. Been fighting for a week now for a refund. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

I placed an online order for a flower arrangement for a funeral and they never arrived. I placed the order 5 days prior to the scheduled delivery date and received a confirmation email. After calling every day for 5 days and getting the runaround while they “contacted the local florist”. I had to threaten to go to my bank in order to get a refund. I will NEVER use Avas flowers again! What a disappointment!

I ordered flowers for a funeral 2 days ahead of time. I got a call at the time they were to be delivered, stating they weren't delivered to call them back. I called back waited for over 10 minutes, and hung up, as I was at work. I called back again later, and they told me they didn't get delivered because they didn't have the right flowers. When asked why they didn't tell me this earlier, so I could get them elsewhere, the lady with a deep accent said she didn't know, but would I like them delivered to my home?
I told her they were for a funeral, wouldn't do me any good at my home. Then I told her I wanted my money back, She put me on hold for another 8 minutes and said the request was put in for the money to be returned to my credit card, but may take awhile. So no flowers, and no money to buy more flowers. I would put it this way, if you need to rely on the flowers getting there on time and correct, go somewhere else, seriously. 'Cause I will.

STAY AWAY - AVAS ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY!! Avas Flowers are fraudsters and thieves. They aren't a florist, they're a call centre who sub-contract work out with massive profits lumped on. They missed the delivery date for my order, a date they themselves offered me, then when I cancelled my order, they called my girlfriend (ruining the surprise) and asked her if she would still like them, even though she had nothing to do with it, I was paying. After I cancelled the order they left the flowers at the front door without even ringing to bell - my girlfriend was in but came across the flowers abandoned outside - and now Avas aren't replying to e-mails. The only thing they were able to do efficiently was take the money out of my account, avoid this company like the plague!!

Had to give one star because you can't give zero. Worst flower buying experience. Ordered flowers and balloons for a surprise for my 84 year old mother in law. Was quoted a delivery window of between 9:40 - 10 am as this was for a surprise. I specifically provided her apartment number for delivery as she lives in a large complex. When the receipt arrive via email, I noticed that the apartment number was missing despite specifically reviewing all delivery details with the associate. I called back and another associate corrected the order and I received an updated invoice with the apartment number on it. As 10:00 on the delivery day came and passed, I called only to be told that they now can't guarantee delivery before noon.
Surprise not shot, I waited until noon for delivery. Still no flowers. Called again, only to find out that the driver delivered the flowers to the management office on the other side of the property causing me to get in the car in a driving rainstorm to get the flowers. When I got to the management office they told me that they told the driver to deliver the arrangement to the apartment but he answered that they always leave it here, which was false. Next day all the balloons have lost helium and are on the floor. I have called Avas 6 times to get satisfaction. They have claimed that they didn't have the address despite it being on the receipt dated 3 days before the delivery and now that it was too late to claim a product defect, which I told them about as soon as the balloons dropped a day after delivery. They offered to give me a whopping $12 on a $100 order, which is unacceptable.

My flowers were suppose to be delivered same day delivery, unfortunately this did not happen. I get it, delivery issues happen. After rudely being spoken to by customer service saying that they have tried to deliver the flowers, but the receiver was in surgery. I spoke to the hospital and they said they would hold the flowers for my friend. I then told Avas that they can leave the arrangement with the hospital staff. Avas failed to do so. 2 DAYS LATER... Avas then asked if there was a home address to deliver the arrangement. I gave them my friend's address and told them that they can leave the arrangement on the front doorstep in case nobody is home at the time of delivery. I was told by Avas that they will be promised to be delivered on the doorstep. 1 DAY LATER... I called Avas, the flowers still weren’t delivered. I was told that they would be in contact with the designer and it would take 24 hrs to hear from them.
1 DAY LATER (4 days since requested delivery date) I called Avas again... I was told that Avas is terribly sorry and will issue me $15 refund for the flowers failed to be delivered AGAIN and that they still haven’t heard from the designer and it would be another 24 hrs. 1 DAY LATER (5 days since requested delivery date) I called Avas again, I was told that they spoke with the designer and that the flowers are GUARANTEED to be delivered today. I get a call from Avas 30 min after speaking to a supervisor and am told that the designer is requesting $10 to deliver the flowers to the doorstep. I was literally flabbergasted that they were asking for more money. It’s been 5 DAYS since the requested delivery date. 5 DAYS!!! I was done with waiting and having to contact Avas customer service every day about my order.
At this point I don’t even want the flowers to be delivered, because I can’t even imagine what the arrangement looks like now that it’s been FIVE DAYS since the date they were suppose to be delivered. I asked for a refund. Avas told me that they can’t issue me a full refund because the arrangement was already made and the designer attempted to deliver the arrangement. I told them how could they possibly attempt to deliver the arrangement? They were told to leave to flowers at the hospital. Didn’t happen. They were told to leave the flowers on the front doorstep. Didn’t happen. How could this be attempted? The flowers should’ve been left? They had no explanation for this, and continued to tell me that it’s my fault that they attempted delivery and because of that they can not issue me a full refund of $65.43 for my flower arrangement.
I’m so upset with my experience and honestly feel like I’ve been scammed. I researched the company more in depth and found out Avas is not a local flower company, as they advertise to be... do your research on Avas Flowers and you’ll find out it’s not a legit locally owned company. In fact, scroll to the bottom of their website and look at the address. I wish that I would’ve research more about Avas Flowers before giving them $65 for a flower arrangement. It’s so disappoint that my friend will not be getting flowers after having to be in the hospital and having an emergency surgery. It’s honestly sickening knowing that Avas Flowers is scamming people, especially knowing their customer's circumstances.

I have ordered floral arrangements several times from Avas Flowers and have always received positive feedback from the recipients. This time, not the same. I ordered a very expensive "Premium - Large" heart-shaped floral spray and was extremely disappointed. At a price of $244.99, I expected an arrangement much larger than what was received. I was quite embarrassed, especially since I ordered it on behalf of my employer! When I contacted the customer service support, they were not willing to refund any of the cost. Avas Flowers has lost a very loyal customer.

Updated on 11/14/2018: This company charged me $90 for the delivery of flowers to my friend who was sick. It was $70 for the first delivery, which was botched. I was told if I gave them $20 more, they would redeliver the next day. It will be a week tomorrow. NO FLOWERS. EVERYONE I dealt with in the 6+ long phone calls promised me they would fix it by the next day, including Sonia, the supervisor, and George, who "had a friend who would make sure personally they would get there." NOTHING. NADA. TOTAL FRAUDS.
Original Review: I am so sad. My group sent flowers to our friend in a rehab, and she was transferred to a hospital that morning and they did not get the flowers to her. They cost a fortune and they never responded to our pleas, although they said they would. JUST A WEBSITE WITH KIDS ON THE PHONE. No one to help.

I ordered an arrangement for my sister's funeral. The flowers I ordered were not the ones that were delivered. I ordered a medium basket arrangement, and they delivered something that was sized more to a Barbie Dream House. It was very upsetting to my family and I, as that was supposed to be the backdrop for her ashes. It was not even visible over the box of cremains. We called immediately upon seeing the arrangement, and they refused to give me any information about who fulfilled the ordered, and then proceeded to ignore all our emails and photos that we sent to back up our complaint. Tonight, they called to tell me how beautiful the arrangement was, and how it had lilies of the valley, etc. I don't want their platitudes, I want the arrangement that my sister, a 19 year veteran of our military, deserved, and that was ordered. I could not care less if I got a refund, but an apology is deserved. That is how you make it right.

I don't even know where to begin. Here there is every type of Issue. I will begin with the FALSE advertisement issue and how they use that to scam you. I was ordering flowers for a sick friends. I googled flower places in the local area where the hospital was. Avas came up and I looked at the same day delivery flowers and picked one and started my order. After my order was purchased I got a confirmation for my order but in the confirmation it said my SAME DAY ORDER has been flexed and won't be delivered till the next day. This is what they say in email, “This order has been placed on FLEX DELIVERY! Delivery On: 10/26/2018 or 10/27/2018 Preferred Delivery Date: Fri, 10/26/2018 before 7PM.”
They call you about 20 times with a problem with your order it can’t be delivered same say or the flowers you want are not available. So I called them and this is when it gets even more iffy. The people on the phone claimed they could not hear me which was weird because my phone is not even a year old and I have never had an issue. I figured after the fact they are outsourcing people because they do not go off script and I could hardly understand them. They all same the same thing. So I told them I wanted to cancel my order because it was not same day delivery and they told me I could not because they cannot cancel same day deliveries.
Well this is where they get you. NO SAME DAY DELIVERY doesn't exist! It is all a lie! I had yell at these people for 20 minutes to cancel my order. They told me they could not cancel unless I gave them a reason. I told I don't need a reason and then after they still refused. I said, ‘Ok fine you’re scamming people.” False Advertisement so same day deliveries and telling people you cannot cancel same day deliveries and then keeping the 15.99 delivery and processing fee. They finally canceled my order but of course the processing fee of 15.99 which is BS. Do not order from here. You will not get anything you ordered or Same Day Delivery.

On November 4, 2018 I placed an order on Avasflowers.com. I paid $68.43 for a flower arrangement called Autumn Splendor. The product description stated this: Celebrate the coming of Fall with our Autumn Splendor bouquet. Shades of orange in this lovely arrangement come together in this low vase to capture the spirit of Autumn. A unique and beautiful arrangement to send, this will become a favorite for any occasion. I received a call the morning of November 5, 2018 from their company stating that the orange roses are not in stock, and asked me if I would be okay with them substituting the orange roses for another Autumn colored flower? I advised him that it was fine to substitute the orange roses with another type of flower or Autumn colored roses.
I specifically asked him if the vase that the arrangement was going to be in was the same vase that I ordered? He said it would be. I told him I was fine with the change as long as the vase was the one pictured on the site. That afternoon the recipient sent me a message thanking me for the flowers. I advised her that I was going to come by and see them when I got home. I walked in and saw the flowers and was immediately floored! I asked her if she was sure this is what she received because she had other flowers from someone else. She said it was. The flower arrangement she received was totally different than the one I ordered! The flowers were all different colors, not Autumn colors, and the vase was a tall clear vase with some burlap ribbon around it. This is definitely not the one I ordered. It looked like an arrangement I could buy at my local Walmart for $10.00.
I immediately sent Avas Flowers an message on their support page, and this is what they sent me: “would like to apologize for any inconvenience this has may cause you. As per view on the order, you agreed for substitution of autumn flowers to be made, so at this point, the best we can do is provide you with a 10% discount back to your credit card and $10 in store credit. Thank you for your understanding. Enjoy the rest of the day!” The order has been refunded - Amount: 10% vs Transaction **. 20000 reward points were deposited into the customers Avas Flowers account. This is unacceptable because I will never do business again with this place! I wish I would have read the real reviews on this company before ordering, and not just the fake reviews on their site! They did the bait and hook on me and had me pay a lot of money for a beautiful arrangement and sent me a cheap one that I could've bought for a few bucks at any local store!

A flower corsage was ordered earlier during the week to be delivered for a 90th birthday celebration in Riverside, CA on Friday, November 2nd. No delivery took place, nor was there a call to explain. We called on Saturday, November 3rd and were told there would again be a delivery. Again, no delivery took place, nor was there a call to explain. We called Sunday, November 4th to request a refund and were told there would be an email confirmation of the refund. Nothing. We called again today (11/5) to a very noisy call center and was told a refund was approved yesterday and another invoice would be emailed. Still nothing. Nonexistent Customer Service. This company is either totally horrible, a scam, or both. DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM!

I asked for a bride and a groom balloon and they charged four times what party city charges and sent a balloon that said bride and a balloon that said groom on it. I spent $97 and they told me after two hours of trying to resolve this with them that if I wanted that bride and groom shaped balloon I would need to pay more. Their customer service sucks and they are unhelpful. Would never recommend them or use them again.

I ordered a bouquet for my grandmother's 95th birthday, it was supposed to be same day delivery, which was supposed to be a Thursday. I was called by Avas Flowers Saturday and told that I needed to pay an additional $12 for delivery because it was out of their delivery area and if I didn’t pay the additional the flowers would not be delivered until the following Tuesday. When I told the woman that I’ve already paid in full which included delivery cost she began trying to negotiate down to $10, then $8 at which time I told her I wanted a full refund and was reporting them to BBB. She then said that they would be able to deliver that day with no extra charge and now it is Sunday, Grandma still hasn’t received her flowers and I have not received a refund. Will never deal with these incompetent crooks again

I paid 135.00 for a large floor vase bouquet for a funeral. I got a basket with about a 50.00 bouquet in it and it was poorly done. Never use this company if you want nice flowers. They are not a good company.

Ordered flowers for my aunt's memorial. Asked they be delivered at 1 - they weren't delivered until 6pm. She lost her 8 yr battle with cancer and my family couldn't be there so we sent flowers that didn't get delivered. When I called customer service she could care less. This was the worst experience ordering from out of state. Will never do so again. This was very important to me and my family and to say that I'm disappointed and angry is an understatement.

DO NOT ORDER FROM AVAS FLOWERS!! I, like many others leaving reviews, trusted the integrity of 1800Flowers, and when they selected Avas Flowers, I assumed they would utilize a company that had ethical standards. I attempted for two-plus hours to complete my order before the 2 pm same-day delivery *arbitrary* cutoff time...was unable to complete my order on their phone app, and after two hours, moved over to my iPad, where they didn't offer options as good as on the phone app, but I was able to find an acceptable alternate bouquet.
So, finally, at 2:15 pm I completed the order... I assumed (incorrectly, it would seem) that they had accepted my order because an hour later I received a status that said it was out for delivery, and delivery would occur by 7 pm. That status remained the same until about 5:30 pm, where the status was updated to state "delivery driver has not updated status, please check back later". Then later the status was changed to say "delivery confirmation pending, please check back later..." So, I sent an email requesting status.
This morning, same delivery pending status, so I called and spoke with "Fernando", and after about a 5 minute wait, I was advised the flowers were "on the truck waiting for next run..." I requested information as to when "next run" would be and was advised I would receive an email with status when delivered. It is now 11:27 am, and the flowers are still not delivered. Mind you the shop is 1.5-2 miles away from the Hospital where they are to be delivered. Heck, I could go get them and walk them over myself quicker! Sadly, as like yesterday, I am working. I have an extremely ill friend who needs some sunshine in her life, and I am frustrated by this, the worst flower delivery service I have EVER encountered! When one pays nearly $100, (which, for ME is a LOT of Money) one expects at least delivery.
Now, let's talk about their *FREE delivery*. What a crock of poo! You're actually paying for delivery when you're charged a $17.68 *handling fee*. The handling fee should be included ~ either in the cost of the flowers, or in the Shipping Fees. Free shipping is a total lie. And their SAVEBIG gives you a $5 discount off the shipping. I don't know *how* this company is still in business. Their reviews are Two, each 5-star and 4-Star, zero 3-star; eight 2-star reviews and a whopping 440 (excluding my 1-star review) 1-star reviews! Flowers were never delivered but they charged me over $50.00! Avas Flowers informed they would deliver my order before 7 pm on 31 October. Needless to say, the flowers never made it there. Customer Service is not able to provide any info as they can not reach the store. I would like to be reimbursed immediately. These people are scam artists! Please use a different reliable company. These people are crooks!!!

I ordered flowers online and requested for next day delivery. The next day, I got a call saying they are unable to deliver but will two days from requested order date. In addition to rescheduling of delivery date, they can’t make the requested arrangement but rather will replace with another bouquet for no charge. I tried to call the next day to modify my order since I really don’t like the arrangement they picked, but unfortunately, I was told it is too late and it is already in process. While on the phone, I was put on hold several times for quite a long time and was transferred to multiple person “to check the status of my order.”
My flowers finally got delivered on the proposed date, however, my recipient sent me a picture of the flowers received, since they’re not sure it came from me since they did t out my name on the card, I was shocked and embarrassed to have sent those flowers! They were horrible and unprofessionally “not” arranged. The flowers don’t look anything like the flowers they posted on their website. Plus, there’s a lot less flowers. I will definitely not order from Avas Flowers.

I ask for a very special arrangement for my daughter who had helped greatly in the planning of her uncle funeral. Received nothing like the one I ordered. After spending 100.00 I could of went to Publix and done better. Very disappointed with non caring ❤. Go to Petals in Lakeland. Trust me. No callback from owner of Avas Flowers. Not very professional. No customer service anymore.

Flower were delivered one day late. I ordered a deluxe arrangement of very colorful flowers, reds, orange, yellow. A nice fall bouquet. The vase was suppose to be clear with twine wrapped around it. The arrangement that was received was a green base with a big burgundy now. The flowers were mostly burgundy as well and was pretty slim. Paid $70, what was received was worth $30. Gave me $10 off and a store credit. Why in the heck would I use them again. Worst place to order flowers from!!!

I ordered and paid for roses, lilies, and sunflowers with an extra charge for a bow (I was not told I was being charged for a bow) and the information I requested on the card was wrong. I also was charged for a card rather than just a typical card that would be included. I asked if I was being charged and was told no. I paid $73.00 for a vase of carnations! After you order they send you an email saying they can substitute like flowers of same value and color and a lot of detail about a binding contract. Having had contract law, I think this is a way for them to bully people into accepting a value other than what they paid for.

I wish I would've done some research. I thought I was ordering from a local company. They say they would deliver the same day as the order. They did not. In fact they claim they delivered on day three after I canceled the order. They still didn't. They still charged my account. I called 24 hours after ordering to cancel. They said they couldn't get a hold of the florist. 48 hours after my order they still said they couldn't get a hold of the florist. I canceled and then they were "magically" delivered, except no flowers were delivered. They say they were delivered. But if I want my money back I need to return the flowers that were NEVER delivered.

I ordered online for my grandmother's birthday. I was promised same day delivery and the flowers never got delivered. I called about 4 times just to get the order canceled and nobody handled the matter efficiently. I was put on hold for at least an hour total and had to explain my situation to 3 different people, each of which made empty promises to fix the problem. They all needed to contact the florist, even though they market themselves as the actual florist rather than what they are. Would not recommend this company, extremely unprofessional and unreliable. They should not be in business.

DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a $40 bouquet for my 83 year old father who is in a nursing home. Free delivery was broadcast all over their website & this particular care facility was listed on their site. Upon check out there was a $16 handling fee. The next day, when the flowers were scheduled to be delivered, I received a call at 7:30 in the morning telling me they needed $10 more dollars to deliver the flowers. I cancelled the order and let the customer service rep know I was extremely upset. She offered to call the nursing home, yeah that would be great. How about you send the flowers I ordered. THIS IS A BOGUS OPERATION!

I called to order. They took my credit card # and promised to deliver flowers today. Then I got a text 2 hours later saying they couldn't deliver today. So I called them and they seemed confused or evasive. Couldn't tell me why they couldn't deliver today or why I had never gotten an invoice. So I asked them to verbally review my charges with me. They charged me $10 more than the price listed on the website for the flowers. When I asked them to waive the delivery fees because they didn't fulfill their promise to deliver they said they never charge delivery fees. I asked them what the $27.00 worth of extra charges above the (inflated) price of the flowers was for. They said "shipping and handling". Well, they don't ship and they don't handle. They are a call center that farms out flower orders to local shops.
They advertise as local but they are located in NJ and my flower order was to be delivered in MN. So they are dishonest in many ways! So, I asked to cancel my order. I was put on hold forever. I hung up and called back. Another customer service rep. said the order was canceled but I have never gotten an email to confirm that. Charges are still pending at my credit card company so we will see how that all turns out. It is a big scam!! Do not order flowers from AVAS. Just don't. What a hassle!

I ordered flowers for my daughter-in-law who was in the hospital after birth of my first grandchild. Even though I selected the flowers for same day delivery they were never delivered. They sent me a notice that they were delivered after 5 pm but they were not received by security or nurses station. I called several times the next day and they couldn’t get local florist to answer the phone. They wouldn’t give me refund so I could order flowers elsewhere.
They finally got florist on the phone but she told them the delivery driver wouldn’t be back in until 1:00 to verify where he left the flowers. I said, "You’ll can’t contact him by cell phone as I’m concerned she’ll be discharged by hospital before deliver." And they said no there was nothing they could do. Asked for a supervisor and was told there was nothing he could do and when I insisted to speak with supervisor they put me on hold 25 minutes. Supervisor did nothing. I’ve called four times and never got a return phone call and now I’m out almost $80.00 with no flowers and ruined what I wanted to be special for my daughter-in-law.

Thought I had pulled up an FTD Florist and would be in good hands. Little did I realize that I was talking to someone in New Jersey and they work with local florists. I asked if a same day delivery would be possible for a Boss's Day gift. I was told 'yes' to same day delivery. Great! Found an arrangement to order "She's Got style, she's got grace" Come to find out the next morning when I tracked my order it was not delivered as promised. So I call this company and they want to know when I would like arrangement delivered? "ASAP please since it was supposed to go yesterday," I respond.
When the arrangement arrived to the recipient it was not what I had ordered at all. It was still a nice arrangement, upgraded vase, but NOT what I ordered. I spoke with the manager who decided to credit me $10 for my inconvenience. Why would they give customers the option of making a selection only to receive a completely different arrangement. It's not like the flowers were out of season.

I ordered flowers from Avas for my daughter's birthday. After I had placed the order, I noticed a lot of bad reviews about Avas so I was a little concerned. Fortunately, I had an excellent experience with Avas! The flowers were delivered when they were supposed to be and the arrangement was gorgeous! My daughter loved them! Don't know what happened with the people who have written the bad reviews about Avas, but I had a very good experience. The only negative thing I would say is that while they advertise "free delivery", at the end of the order a charge of $15.95 was added and while they don't call that a delivery charge, it adds $15.95 to your order for who knows what. I think that is a little misleading. Otherwise I was very happy with the service and the flowers, and I would not hesitate to order from them again.

I ordered Designer's Choice green planter/basket and paid additional $10.00 for large arrangement of plants in basket with white bow for funeral. They delivered a green box with all white full-bloom roses for $97.00. After speaking with customer service and informed them of my dissatisfaction, they offered me only $8 refund and $8 credit in next Order. I will never use this floral service again. Very displeased.

I did NOT get the arrangement I wanted, was promised a price change for the difference which did NOT happen, the card looked like it was written by an early grade school child, and not what I asked to be on the card. Customer Service is extremely extremely poor. They credit me for the card and gave me store credit of $15.00 for a $30.00 error. I specifically looked for a florist in Zapata, TX where my elderly mother lives. This florist represents themselves as a local florist but they are not. I placed the order online very early in the day for delivery on that day, my mother's birthday. I received text alerts that the flowers were out for delivery. Then I started receiving frantic texts that there was a problem with the delivery. I called in and was told that the designer for that area could not deliver to my mother's address. Zapata is a two-stop-light town; and my mother lives in town. There is no way this statement was truthful.
Then I was told that to compensate for the delay in delivery, they would send her two dozen assorted roses plus a box of chocolates. The flowers were delivered a day late via UPS. My mother nearly cut her hand when reaching into the box to retrieve her flowers because the vase was shattered. They also only sent 18 roses, not 24. I called to complain about the broken vase today and was on hold forever. They promised a 15% refund. We'll see. Do not use this florist under any circumstances!!

I ordered flowers for my boss for Bosses Day. I paid over $75.00 with delivery and handling, the bouquet of flowers was over $55.00. I could have gone to the grocery store and gotten a better bouquet of flowers for $10.00. The flowers that were delivered were nowhere near to what the picture showed on the website. They were absolutely horrible looking and so small. I tried working with them, sent them a picture of the flowers and told them to compare it to the picture on the website. They responded by saying that it looked the same to them and they would give me 10% off my next order (which will never happen). I wish I would have went online and reviewed them prior to ordering from them. Had I not been in such a rush, I would have reviewed them first. Do not order from this florist. You'll be better off getting some flowers from the grocery store and you won't break the bank.

Casket floral pillow arrived late during the service for my grandmother. I was going to check status of delivery and the flowers were rushed in during the middle of the funeral. The words were handwritten on the ribbon with glitter glue. Letters were smudged looked like a child's art project. Sympathy card was also written by hand in blue ink, it was terrible. It looked nothing like the pic on the site and I was charged more than advertised. Very unprofessional.

A family member passed away in SC and I live in NH. I called Avas to see if I could get some flowers delivered last minute to the funeral home, the gentleman from Avas that answered the phone put me on hold to "check with the florist to see if they could deliver the flowers on time." He came back to tell me they were already going to that funeral home and that they could in fact fulfill my order. He described the arrangement they were sending to the funeral home and gave me options for ribbon and everything. Charged my credit card $102 and said everything was all set.
It wasn't until 4PM on Monday that I received a call and was asked to hold for 15 mins before someone explained to me that they could not find a local florist to deliver the flowers I had requested to be delivered, so instead of being honest and telling me this to begin with so I could look for another company that could deliver the flowers, they told me they could and didn't tell me until it was far too late to send flowers to a funeral that was held on Saturday.
Although my order was last minute, if it was something they couldn't have done, then just let me know! That way I could have looked for other options, I am extremely disappointed and sad that Avas Flowers did this to me and all I got from them was a simple, "We are sorry but your order was too last min and we just couldn't do it, is there another address we can send them to now?" 3 days later-not even offering me a refund until I requested it. I can say I will NEVER do any business with Avas Flowers again after this!

When I called to complain they promised to deliver a larger plant with a blue ribbon in it. The plant they delivered was smaller and did not have any ribbon. Horrible company to deal with!

Birthday flowers were ordered and never delivered. Called that evening and began to speak with representative and was disconnected. Tried calling back and then there was no answer. Called back the next day to get refund, put on (long) hold three times until the call was automatically rerouted to another representative. Then was told that the local florist was contacted and the floral arrangement will be delivered. I responded that was not what I asked for, I called to ask for a refund and was put on hold again - the third rep spoken to was the only one that offered an apology but kept making excuses as to why it was not their fault. Put on hold a fourth time & finally got a manager on the phone who said a refund would be issued and it will take 3-5 business days.
We'll see if the refund will actually be issued at that time. Terrible company, terrible customer service. With over 1,400 BB complaints - it's a wonder to why they are still in business. Their website states that "Our customer's satisfaction is our number one priority. We are committed to quality and service." This is completely false! They need to stop scamming consumers and provide legit customer service. They need to take the 5-star rating off of their website as it is a complete falsehood.

I would give them zero stars if that was possible. I ordered Flowers to be delivered to the funeral for a dear friend. They were supposed to be delivered by 9am the morning of the funeral because the funeral was at 10am. I received email confirmation that the flowers were delivered at 3pm. I called that evening to complain and ask for a refund. I was told by the person on the phone that they would have to check with the delivery person to confirm that the time was correct. I received another email this time saying the flowers delivered at 1130am still an hour and a half late.
I called back and this time after being passed off to a manager they said they'd to call the delivery service and the service had 24 hrs to respond and they would call me back when they heard from the service. So two days later I hadn't heard from Avas so I called them and was told there was nothing they could do because I waited too late to complain. DON'T USE AVAS FLOWERS. I spent well over 400.00 dollars on flowers for the funeral of a very dear friend and her family never saw them. DON'T USE AVAS FLOWERS!!!

I understand you cannot guarantee that the arrangement you build will look exactly like the one in the advertised photo from your website, however, you did not use one single solitary thing in common with advertised arrangement. The flowers that arrived had the look and quality of a $9.99 arrangement I could buy at a discount store such as Marc's. The container, not even close. The flowers, all inexpensive, ordinary flowers, the shape of the arrangement, not even close to the photo. I spent $60 for a bouquet going to someone that just found out they are going to die soon. The specialness of this bouquet said, "Meh, you'll get over it," PS-it's fall in Ohio, you should have sunflowers in stock. When I delivered my feedback on your website you ignored me. I will never utilize your services again. Obviously the reviews section on your Facebook page is turned off for a reason.

Unfortunately I am very unhappy with this online florist. I ordered a large bouquet of flowers larger than what they said the display picture was showing to make sure the bouquet was extra full. What the recipient received was a small bouquet that looked like it came from a grocery store. I spent almost 100 dollars on this bouquet and emailed with a picture to express my unhappiness where they said they would credit me 15.00 but will need to retrieve the bouquet (product) before giving me a full refund. They ruined the specialness of a 44 year wedding anniversary by passing off a bad product through deceptive pictures online. The customer service was dehumanizing and they didn’t care to fix the situation.
This company does not give a good product. If you buy the Luxury flowers you will not receive a luxury large size bouquet. I paid extra for a green specialty vase and the flowers didn’t have that vase. I’m so sad and so frustrated that the flowers were not special just average supermarket flowers. I don’t want anyone to waste their money or experience the embarrassment of a ruined special occasion because of these online fraudsters.

In the checkout process, the total is "Estimated" and a final total is never given before the credit card is required. Only when I got the confirmation email did I see that they added a $19 "service fee" to my order. (The website clearly states that delivery is free). I phoned in my order. The employee I spoke with was kind and patient, not pushy at all. I like that! Nowadays it seems everyone is in a hurry, pushy and even rude on the phone, but not at Avas Flowers. The person I spoke with was wonderful and helped me choose which flower arrangement was appropriate for the occasion. The flowers were delivered on time. I phoned the day before I needed the flowers delivered, which is customary. The flower arrangement was truly breathtaking! The flowers were healthy and fresh. Avas Flowers did a wonderful job, and I couldn't be happier! I have saved Avas Flowers into my personal directory, because I will only go to Avas for any future floral purchased. I trust Avas Flowers. Their prices are reasonable too! Other florists in my estimation are way overpriced. You get more bang for your buck at Avas Flowers!

Avas flowers delivered the wrong flowers to the funeral, not the right color blend, no card attached and did not include the bow that was shown in the picture. The flowers arrived wilted to the funeral home because I believe they delivered them earlier than should have. Their customer service lies when you call and always tells you the florist who delivered them is closed and they never want to resolve the complaint. They are blow hards looking to scam people. I am contacting an attorney because their return policy is false and I truly believe this is a big scam. They prey on others weaknesses during a difficult time.

I ordered an arrangement called Floral Harmony from their website. What was delivered did not match the photo in any way. Flowers were sparse, droopy, near death. It was embarrassing to see what our children 'thought' we'd sent. Immediately contacted Avas via their website with my complaint and attached a photo of the arrangement that was delivered. After several emails from several 'managers' all expressing how sorry they were, I was initially offered a 15% refund and a $10 in store credit. The 15% would not have covered the delivery charge and I don't live in a state with an Avas location not that I would ever work with them again.
Finally, I asked them, per the terms of their customer satisfaction agreement, to pick up the arrangement and replace it with one that was representative and fresh. They refused. Then I was offered a 50$% credit which I agreed to but what was processed was not 50%!! The tactics this place uses are certainly not customer oriented. Just living up to their published terms and conditions would have made life much easier. Never again.

This is the worst experience I've had when ordering flowers. Not an actual flower shop. They sub out their orders to incompetent vendors. Couldn't make a local delivery for 5 days. When the flowers finally got there. The card inside was for some other person, wishing them "Happy Birthday". When I called their customer service center (also a joke), I was put on terminal hold while they checked with their vendor. After several minutes he comes back on the line and says the vendors not answering. Asked for a call back before end of business, still haven't been contacted 2 days later. Next time I'll deliver my own flowers! DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Spent over $50.00 to have a birthday card and some flowers delivered to my mother on her birthday. I never got a phone call from my mother and I thought it was odd. So I called her the next day and turns out she never got the flowers. She checked every door at the house. Nothing was left. I spent over an hour total, two separate phone calls with Avas customer service, trying to get my money refunded. They argued with me and told me that they couldn’t refund my money because the flowers were delivered. Then they tried to tell me that they couldn’t give me a full refund and that I had to pay for the flower arrangement. DO NOT USE this company. They will scam you out of your money. I paid for a service and it didn’t happen. All and all, terrible experience, I will never use them again, and I encourage all of you to find another company.

On September 28, 2018 I ordered my Girlfriend some flowers from Avas Flowers. They delivered 2 dozen old flowers and half were dead on the third day. I also ordered a card and three balloons. They delivered one balloon and did not fill out the card or even sign my name. I called Avas Flowers and complained and they said they would send out new flowers the next day. I call the next day and they said they were sending nothing. So they actually lied to me. Save yourself some heartache and find another company to order your flowers. This place is bad news and nobody speaks English.

I should have read the reviews prior to my purchase. The flowers I ordered my daughter were NOTHING like what I ordered. Matter of fact, about 3/4 of the flowers were missing. The arrangement was UGLY and my 5 year old could have done it better. I ordered first thing in the morning and requested delivery for “as early as possible”. My daughter gets off at 4 pm and the flowers weren’t delivered until after she left. I chose a florist close to her work & this one was 3 miles away and delivered her CRAP!!! I wish I could post the picture of it!!!

Very frustrating and sad to know that this problem could not be solved since it was a one day funeral. NEVER order flowers from Avas as they do not fulfill their obligations or promises. Searching on the internet for some flowers to be delivered to a sick friend, I came across Avas Flowers. I found a perfect arrangement at a wonderful price. The advertisement said things like free delivery, personally delivered, local florist. Reading the fine print that changed to “possibly delivered by FedEx or UPS”. I guess the UPS man was going to hand deliver the flowers. I should’ve known then, but I thought, “Okay, not the worst thing If they come via mail service.” So I completed my order.
A couple hours later I get a call from Avas Flowers explaining that they did not have all of the flowers to make the bouquet I ordered, and would like to exchange some of the flowers for fresh cuts. When I inquired as to which flowers were being replaced with what, she said she was not sure. She continued explaining that she did not know what flowers were unavailable but she would give me a designers choice for the same price. At this reply my ears perked. First of all I’m one of those people who look at every bouquet before choosing any, and I had actually briefly thought about getting the designers choice. However only because it was $10 CHEAPER!!!
Once I explained this the “deal” she was offering me was actually not a bargain at all, she literally said “okay, I can get your original bouquet from one of our affiliated florists, but it’s going to cost more.” Yes, GOING TO COST MORE. She just told me the flowers were UNAVAILABLE, as in they cannot fulfill the order because they do not have the flowers to do so. Now she is saying they actually do have the flowers but I’ll need to pay more money for the exact same bouquet I just ordered and already paid for in its entirety.
I tried to explain to her that the proposals she were giving me were both a form of cheating a customer. I asked her to imagine she went grocery shopping and purchased a gallon of milk. After paying for the milk, the manager stops her at the door and demands another $3 from her for the exact same gallon of milk she just bought. Or, he offers to let her take home a half gallon for the price she just paid. The seller was exhibiting false advertisement as she herself just did.
False advertising is against the law. If she has the flowers she needs to complete the order for the same price I paid, not charge me more. She canceled the order and refunded the credit card. Well, at least she said she would refund it. Still hasn’t cleared in my account. So, if you don’t mind paying for a gallon of milk and only bringing home a half gallon, Avas Flowers is the place for you. If you want to know exactly what you are purchasing for exactly what price before you actually buy it, go anywhere else!!!

I placed a phone order with Tony who had difficulty spelling my name, address, email address, etc. I gave him my charge card info. I did not receive a confirmation email so Called Avas the next morning (Monday). I spoke with Luis who could not find my order despite my giving him my name, address, email address, recipients name, address, zip code. (More time on the phone). I told him that I would order elsewhere and if he found my order to cancel it. Later in the day I checked my credit card charges online and found a charge for $88.92 from Avas Flowers. I called them again, spoke with Anna, explained the situation (Much more time on the phone) and she was able to find the order and told me the plant was out for delivery! I told her to cancel delivery; she told me I would still be liable for the delivery charge!!! It's the principal...
I told her I would not pay the delivery charge and wanted the $88.92 credited back to my account. She said she could not do that and referred me to Sol. After MANY minutes on hold, I finally spoke with Sol. I had to re-explain everything and he said they had "policies" to be followed. I asked him about customer service and customer satisfaction, but got nowhere. He said he would check something and call me back in 4 or 5 minutes. I never heard from Sol. Today, I called again and spoke with George. George was not able to find my order or the charge (35 more minutes on the phone) and finally said I would have to have my credit card company dispute the charge (which I will do but cannot do as it is still "pending"). What a nightmare!

Ordered flowers from Avas on 9/22, were told they’d be delivered by 1:00 pm same day. I received an email saying they were delivered at 4:30. I called my wife, no flowers were delivered. I called customer service and they told me that the person who was delivering to my house received them at 4:30 and they would be to my house shortly. They were never delivered on the 22nd, so I called customer service again and was told they couldn’t contact driver and they would let me know. The flowers were delivered next day on Sunday morning the 23rd which is actual day of my Anniversary, so it worked out okay and flowers were very nice. With all the calling to customer service and aggravation I would not use them again, I will stick with local florist.

I placed an order on 9/5/2018 for delivery on 9/7/2018 for a funeral service. I got the email within about 20 minutes of placing my order saying my ordered had been delivered. HOWEVER, the email said the service wasn't until 9/8/2018 after speaking with the funeral director and they will make sure the arrangement is delivered then. I called CS asking why I got an email saying it was delivered but yet they said they wouldn't deliver until 9/8/2018. I was told they would go ahead and deliver on 9/7/2018. Unfortunately, I never got any more emails afterwards. After speaking with family of the deceased, they let us know they didn't receive anything signed by us. So I contact CS again. Supposedly they contacted the shop directly and the shop owner said she "distinctly" remembered this arrangement because of the blue bow and she made the arrangement herself.
She couldn't understand why the image showed a blue bow, which doesn't match of the flowers in the arrangement. Therefore, the shop owner said she chose a sheer blue "elegant" bow to go with the arrangement. I was also provided the "cocktail recipe" for the flowers that went into the arrangement. I told the CS Rep that I would contact the family again with a picture of the arrangement to see if they recalled the arrangement and somehow something happened with the card, rather it be lost, misplaced, etc... Unfortunately, we were told they didn't recognize those flowers. I promise you it was a large arrangement that would have been remembered. I contact CS again this morning. It's ironic that all you have to do is provide your name and they have every little detail about your order without every providing any more detailed information.
I was placed on hold and supposedly the CS contacted the shop directly. She comes back on the line and tells me that she spoke with the "Designer" and that they had spoken with the family last night and confirmed the flowers had been received. I then asked the CS Rep to find out from the designer who they spoke within the family that confirmed this. I then got the excuse that the designer is unavailable and the CS Rep starts referring to the designer as a man. I find it very ironic that the first lady I spoke with said that she spoke with the shop owner and referred to the shop owner as "she", but the one I spoke with today referred to this person as "designer" and referred to the designer as a "he". I told the CS Rep that I'm sure she was lying. My husband had been in direct contact with a family member confirming that they didn't receive the arrangement ordered.
I am beyond upset over this whole ordeal. I should have never made this transaction. They pose as a "Local Florist". At this point the CS Rep tells me that she will notate the account to find out who in the family confirmed this was received and would contact me. I know they have no intention of ever contacting me! The CS Rep said their policy is notification within 24 hours of intended delivery date to notify if the item was not received. Who in their right mind has a 24 hour policy on this??? Why would you contact the family who just lost a loved one to see if the flowers were received. This just happen to come up in discussion is the only way I found out that these were never delivered. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! I ordered the DELUXE Blooming White Standing Spray and was humiliated by the extremely sparse 12-15 blooms and tired floppy bow stuck on the side of the arrangement for a dear family member’s funeral. Additionally, this business is not family owned or operated; if you have a complaint, you will not speak to anyone but the call center. So, if you like to support local merchants (especially if the event is in a small town) do NOT use Avas Flowers.
If you use the coupon that is offered on the website, be prepared that you will receive poorer quality arrangement. The call center will act like they did you a huge favor already. If you complain enough, they’ll offer you an additional $20.00 refund. I paid $167 for something that looked like it was worth $50. If you want a chance a better remedy, make sure to take a photo of the arrangement at your loved one’s funeral (are they serious with this?). Go ahead and order if you want to be RIPPED OFF and will not receive what you ordered. I would give a negative number of stars if possible.

I placed an order for a beautiful flower bouquet with lilies and roses to name a few flowers. I paid extra for a red vase to go with the red roses. This was a gift for my mom on her birthday. The price on the standard price was $45.99. The first thing that happened was they charged me $75... not $45.99. I let that slide because I thought to myself that maybe I missed something. Then, they call me on my mom's birthday and told me they couldn't deliver on that Saturday that the next available slot would be the following Monday. I gave them the benefit of the doubt again due to the fact that there was some rain and flooding in the area my mom lives in at the time. However, what I cannot let go is the fact that there were supposed to be red roses in the bouquet as advertised.
I paid extra for a red vase due to the red roses that were supposed to be in there. Not only were there no red roses (the most expensive flower in the bouquet) but there was also no red vase. This makes me believe that the whole thing was a scam from the beginning. I don't believe I should have been charged $75. I believe they lied to me when they said they could deliver on that Saturday since obviously they didn't deliver on Saturday. I paid extra for a red vase that was not included. They completely left out the main and most expensive flower. This is blatant false advertisement which is also illegal. I will never again use Avas Flowers. Not only will I never recommend them to anyone I will go out of my way to explain to everyone how much they scam their customers.

I Googled for a florist in Key Lago, FL. It was imperative that the flowers arrive the same day. It was the recipient's birthday and she is gravely ill. I called and the rep answered the phone, "Avas Flowers." I ask if I had the right number, and she confirmed it was a Key Largo florist. I placed the order. I was assured that the flowers would arrive that day. Five hours later, Avas called and said they no longer deliver to that area but may be able to get flowers there in 2 days. Then I realized they take orders nationwide and have someone else deliver the order. They are NOT a local florist. I complained to a manager who assured me he would handle the problem and call me right back. No call. I called again and he would not take my call. Then the rep hung up on me. Be aware. I placed an order for same day delivery for a funeral. About 20 minutes later I received a call that they didn't have enough white flowers that were in good enough shape for the arrangement I ordered. I authorized a substitution as long as it was appropriate for a man's funeral. Monday morning they sent an email after trying to call at 8:30 am because the delivery didn't happen and they wanted an alternate address for delivery. The funeral was at noon local time (11:00 am my time). They claimed that the order did not make the local florist because they weren't open on the weekend when I know that they were. They had sought approval for substitutions in the flowers. Had anyone checked they could have made it before the funeral. Also free delivery was advertised but then they snuck in a $15.95 service fee as I went to pay. Since I wanted the flowers sent I still placed the order. Never again would I use this company.

I ordered flowers over the phone 2 days in advance. I was told they would be delivered before 10:00 AM. By 3:00 PM, they still had not been delivered. I called to talk to customer service and could not get to anyone. After being on hold for several minutes, you just get a recorded message saying you need to schedule a callback. Flowers were not what I ordered, were delivered 2 days later and the end of the day! Customer service was not helpful and only made excuses and refused to offer a refund after their own florist got lost, claimed address was bad, claimed recipient didn't exist, even on the second day second attempt at deliver to a apt leasing office which needs to be visible, they still got lost, and treated me like it was my fault. I do not recommend using this service, flowers that were finally delivered were ordinary $5 flowers you can get at any market or street vendor.

This floral delivery business is deceptive, incompetent and almost a sham. They stay in business because when you search for a florist in any area outside your own, especially smaller towns and communities, they come up. And you think Great! And don’t look up reviews until after you’ve been scammed. They promise the moon over the phone, then fall exceptionally short on follow through. I “custom” ordered sunflowers with a lot of greenery and variety of white blooms in tall tin vase with twine or burlap bow. What my mother received was 8-10 wilting sunflowers with a few sprigs of waxy leafed greenery in a box. Have to admit all three employees I spoke and emailed with were patient and polite and apologetic. But their offer of $10-15 refund was downright insulting. And why would anyone trust a merchandise credit when their product and service is so poor.

I received an email that the flowers I sent to my sister and brother in law for their 25th wedding anniversary had been delivered at 11:59cst. At 3:00cst, she received a phone call from an Indian man asking if she liked her flowers and she had no idea what he was talking about. 15 minutes later, 2 Indian men pulled up in a black car and pulled out flowers. The flowers look like they had bought them from a gas station. Now the card on the other hand was handwritten. It was either written by a very frail person or a 5 year old.

I wish I read reviews prior to ordering from Avas. I ordered for a special Birthday and then shortly after I received a text message to call them. They said they couldn’t get any shops to deliver today. I even asked for a supervisor and he couldn’t help either. Their solution was to call the recipient and tell them they would come tomorrow- unacceptable. I even suggested I could change what I ordered if it would help. No help, no flowers. I placed an order for a family member and come to find out the arrangement was not what I ordered at all. I spent hours and spoke with multiple people on the phone and was given no response as to why it happened yet I was offered a 10% refund and $20 store credit. I have no desire to order from this company again so the store credit will do me no good. I feel they scam people all the time as I’m now reading reviews. They advertise that they are family owned and the best in their area. They are not a family owned, they subcontract out to other local florists. These guys are the worst company ever. Run. Don't walk away from these guys. I ordered flowers for my wife for our anniversary at 9:00 this morning and they said they would have it delivered early afternoon. I told them they needed to make sure it was delivered before 5:00. I just got a call from them at 4:00 and they said they didn't have the red roses in stock and it would be tomorrow before they would deliver the arrangement. I asked how in the state of CA they could not find 12 red roses? With all the wholesale houses in CA, I would think they should be able to find them.
When I asked for a refund the lady kept saying she wanted to deliver them tomorrow and that she was not going to give me a refund. When I asked for a manager, she refused to put one on. Then she said there were no managers there, then she hung up. When I called back and asked for a manager it was the same lady now pretending she was the manager also not wanting to give a refund. What BS!!! I finally got them to give me a refund after having to yell. Whatever. You don't buy anything from these people. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. They are CROOKS!!!

Ordered a live plant basket for the spouse of a deceased friend. I was very specific in what I ordered. I was PROMISED I would receive a photo, BEFORE the order left the florist, for my approval. 4 hours later I received an email that my order had been delivered. When I called, they apologized and said they made a mistake. To make things right, they offered me $15 off my NEXT order. I will be sending flowers to the memorial service in two weeks. If Avas thinks they are getting the order, they are delusional. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. Avas missed the boat. I won't deal with them again and suggest you stay away.

I won’t bore you with all of the details but this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a florist. They were unable to create the arrangement I requested. A completely inappropriate piece was sent out after I cancelled the order and they tried to charge me for half. When I refused to pay anything for a cancelled order, they actually wanted to knock on the door of a grieving family and retrieve the flowers they sent in error. I ordered an arrangement over the phone (very bad idea), they charged me $65. When I picked that thing up it was not worth $10. Their customer service is terrible, their favorite phrase is "give one second", and keeping you holding over the phone endlessly. After the 5th call, and an email with the picture of the arrangement, and 30 minutes (last call duration) later they agreed with a refund. Even though, they agreed to a refund. I felt scammed! I paid for something that was supposedly going to be nice, and worth the price. Overall, very disappointed with the whole experience. As a friendly recommendation, take your time and look for a serious place, and also take into consideration the reviews that people make.

I ordered two plants for a family funeral. They only delivered one and it wasn’t what I ordered. It is very hard to contact them once you make a purchase. When I finally did reach them they told me they canceled the other plant because it “wasn’t in season.” I told them this is a family funeral and I need another plant delivered. They sent a tiny plant that looked it was purchased at a supermarket. This company is a disgrace. Both plants had the same sympathy card from the same person and everything was spelled wrong. Ava's must think that people will never see the arrangements that are sent and the recipients will just thank the senders, never mentioning the cheap appearance. Both my father and I sent $100 "luxury" arrangements for a 90th birthday, which we saw. Both were $10 grocery store arrangements, at best. Both were less than 12" in diameter and in 4" clear glass vases with no particularly special flowers. Ava's must get complaints often because they immediately sent a $10 refund and offered a 25% credit on our next orders.

I spent days playing phone tag with customer service (who ended up being excellent for their perseverance). I ordered flowers from Avas Flowers to be sent to a good friend's funeral while I was out of country with special instruction of where the flowers were to be delivered, I ordered a sympathy banner also. I got the cold shoulder from my family and did not know why until I returned home to find out that the flowers were delivered to my home address 500 miles away from the church and the delivery instructions were ignored and no sympathy banner either. I wasted $108.00. Do not order from Avas Flowers. They are a joke. I will dispute this charge for sure. I spoke with someone in customer service and they stated that the delivery instructions were not read. I let them know that if they had any questions I had international phone service and could have been reached by phone. Do not order from Avas Flowers.

Horrible experience! Do not ever buy from the company!!! I wish they will go out of business of how careless they are. I was the receiver of flowers that were purchased through them. I got my flowers on Friday and they seemed a little dead, within 24 hours they all died! (There were about 10 sunflowers). When I called to dispute it, they wouldn’t give me any sympathy. It’s obvious this company does not care about the “recipient” only the person who purchased it but yet can careless. They didn’t offer a refund or fresh flowers. I had ordered a floral arrangement called Dreaming of Tuscany to be delivered to a family member in the hospital that needed cheering up. It is a very bright cheerful arrangement as per the website. What was delivered was not even close to the arrangement on their website. It was very dull with no brightly colored flowers. When I called I was told they would have the correct arrangement delivered the next day. Needless to say, that never happened and when I called the next day I was told that it was never done and if I wanted they would deliver the following day. (This is now 2 days after the initial order).
I was extremely upset at this point and asked to speak with a manager - there is no manager to speak with at this 800 number. Customer service is nonexistent. I did e-mail the company and eventually a manager answered my e-mail and assured me that they had issued me a 10 percent credit (never issued it) and they were sending another arrangement (again never sent). Then received a phone call from one of the managers apologizing and telling me I would see a full refund on my credit card. Two days later, the refund was still not issued - now I filed a dispute with my credit card company. The bottom line is - still with - 1-800-Flowers!!

This company is definitely one of the worst companies I have ever chosen to work with. This past weekend, I attempted to use Avas Flowers to deliver flowers for my Uncle’s funeral. (Flowers from my parents (Brother of the deceased) so they would not have to deal with the added stress of ordering flowers on top of everything else.) However the company ended up stealing my money and calling me 45 minutes before the funeral to tell me there was no way for the company to deliver the flowers.
From the beginning, I placed this order by calling the customer support line because I wanted to verify with 100% certainty that these flowers would be delivered on time for the funeral. I asked the representative five times to please verify that this order would be filled and delivered on time. Each time the representative assured me each time that the flowers would be delivered and that I did not need to worry. So I went through with placing the order over the phone.
On the day of my uncle's funeral, 45 minutes before the funeral, I receive a call from Avas telling me that no flowers would be delivered due to an emergency at the flower show. I ask the representative for details about the emergency and she states that all she can tell me is that Avas was notified of an emergency the previous day (afternoon) and that the flower shop is closed today so they are not able to get any additional details. So not only is the flower show that is supposed to be delivering my flowers closed on the date of delivery but Avas was notified 24 hours prior to notifying me that an emergency occurred and no flowers would be delivered.
The funny thing is that Avas was notified that this flower shop would be closed before I called and asked them to verify that this order would be delivered. So not only did they know the flowers wouldn’t be delivered, they lied to me, they stole my money knowing no order could be made or delivered, and told me not to worry about it. So, no flowers were delivered for the funeral.
Additionally, when I asked the representative what the options were, the representative told me that they could deliver a vase arrangement to the family a week later. (A vase arrangement that did not cost anything close to my original purchase cost.) When I declined this offer, the representative stated that she could give me 50% off another order. Again, I declined. I ended up getting a refund for this order and telling the representative I had to go because now really wasn’t the best time to be dealing with this. I am beyond livid that this situation occurred and I will honestly never use this company again.

I ordered a beautiful floral arrangement for my daughter on a very special occasion. They sent her a total different arrangement that wasn't even half the size of the one I ordered. It had maybe 1/3 of the flowers, the flowers were different and different colors. On their website they said they would refund or replace if the customer wasn't satisfied. 1st call the lady I spoke with agreed after seeing the picture I took with them side by side for comparison. She said she would call floral shop and someone would get back to me within the hour.
Never got a return call so I called back and was told that the arrangement delivered was comparable to what I ordered. She said pics on their website are color corrected/photoshopped for online viewing. They would only refund me 20% and get 10% off next purchase... I explained I didn't want a refund I wanted the correct arrangement delivered. They said they wouldn't do that. I explained that in their website it said they would. Why would I want 20% back that's isn't the full amount I paid and I didn't plan on using them again so I didn't want 10% off next order. Went back and forth with 3 different agents. Wouldn't transfer me to manager, would not give their name to me and then hung up on me x2. It was the absolute worst experience ever!

Totally dishonest... Merle **. As a consequence of this I called your customer service and spoke to Alan whose explanation (after he spoke to the florist responsible for delivery) that the delivery was completed.
There is no evidence that it was. Nonetheless he offered me a “partial refund”. By the way neither the recipient nor I received a telephone call indicating that there was difficulty in delivering the order. As I recall I supplied both our telephone contact information. Here’s my position. Unless a complete refund is issued by close of business on August 24, 2018 I will instruct my lawyer Scott **, Esq to sue you on my behalf under the General Laws of Massachusetts Chapter 93A. This will compel you to appear in court in Massachusetts and if you are found liable, which you clearly will, you will be subject to triple damages and legal fees (under the color of Massachusetts law). Further I will arrange for Merle ** to testify against you, this at your expense. My position is non-negotiable. The choice is yours.

Ordered flowers for a friend's birthday in Jacksonville, FL on 8/18/2018 to be delivered on the 19th. Got an email on the 20th at 8:03 am stating they will deliver the flowers on the 20th. I tried to contact them but it takes an act of congress to get a hold of anyone and when I did they told me it was too late to cancel the order due to flowers being in route for delivery. Don’t shop here... I am still waiting on my refund and the customer service is horrible. They tried to charge me $59.99 for a cancellation even though they couldn’t deliver when promised. Several BBB complaints have been filed: On 4/11/14 BBB reached out to Avas Flowers regarding a pattern of complaints filed against the business. Consumers have reported flower deliveries that arrived days late, dead, wilted, brown, falling apart. There have been reports of flowers not arriving after continued assurances they were on the way. Consumers have reported deliveries of flowers that were completely different from those ordered (type of flowers, vases, arrangements). Consumers have reported difficulties reaching Customer Service to try and resolve problems.

I placed an order on Fri eve for next day delivery on Sat. Avas called me on Sat to inform me they could not deliver the flowers on Sat and I agreed to a Monday delivery even though the recipient's birthday was Sunday. The flowers were not delivered until after 2 p.m. on Monday and they looked NOTHING like the online photo. They were much smaller. I contacted Avas and they offered me a $10 store credit on future orders on a $50 plus delivery fees of $17 for a total of $67 order. I informed them that was of no value to me as I had no intention of ever using them again. The CS person responded and said that after reviewing the picture I sent it was determined that I received more than I ordered and they would give me a 10% discount which was $5.69. I am contesting this purchase with my cc company. Based on my experience this is not a reputable company.

l ordered flowers for "same day delivery". I ordered before their "cutoff time" and have email proof. However, I received a call to let me know (two hours later) that the order would not be delivered same day. I said that was fine, as long as the order was there the following morning. I called back no less than fifteen times today to verify delivery time - l was told if it wasn't there by noon, I would get a refund. The order was finally delivered at 1:50, without the card I ordered. Avas not only failed to live up to their promise, their non-English-speaking customer support hung up on my at least ten times, after lying to me about cutoff times and order times, despite me having email proof of my order. They offered me a $4 refund on a $175 order which was completely botched. Do NOT order from them. Other online shops are more competent.

Perhaps this was my mistake but I decided to do a google search for flower delivery in my MIL’s City. Avas Flowers came up and the flowers were pretty and in the price range I was going to spend. I ordered, using the extra 10% code that was on the site. Several hours later, after receiving an urgent email that my order would be delayed if I didn’t call them ASAP, I was told that the FTD florist handling my order needed an extra $5. Not a lot of money, but something didn’t seem kosher. I asked if I could get a refund and was told no. My options: lose $53 or pay the extra $5 by credit card over the phone or continue fighting. After 10-15 minutes of back and forth, Regina told me they would waive the extra fee. Never ever in my life have I ordered something and fully paid the price asked only to learn I need to pay more money. The flowers were delivered but I am pretty certain I will not using these guys again.

If I was able to rate this company with no stars, it would be more than they deserve. Simply stated, their customer service is nonexistent, they are rude and not at all concerned with customer satisfaction. I ordered a floral arrangement and it was delivered to a different address and I was not notified nor was the recipient. It was simply dropped off to an unknown address and three days later no one can find the arrangement. I can go on and on with my review but my recommendation is not to use this florist EVER. They are rude and essentially lied to my wife promising to clear this up within the day. This was after she was rudely treated by a person (name withheld) who described himself as a supervisor. It was a surprise gift and they simply ruined the surprise by their incompetence and lack of customer service. It would have been better if I had given the recipient a gift card to purchase a floral arrangement at her local grocery store.

My friend was working in FL so sent me an arrangement because he could not be here. He placed the order 08/07/18 to be shipped the next day 08/08. They called him at dinner. He called back when he got back up to his room. They told him it get there on 08/09/18, because the nearest Avas florist is 30 miles away. That's bull because there's one 7 miles away that services Avas according to Google and the Decals of Avas in the windows. He said he would like to cancel. They said, "You can't. It has already been processed." They sent him a short survey after I sent the picture via text. He told them, "That's not even what I ordered," and after almost 20 years they haven't messed up until now, "so I will never use your service again".
They then started contacting me a saying send pictures and prove it! I guess many do not take pics. but like the typical smartass lawyer & cop's kid. I had pictures of the condition of EVERY flower. Even the pink rose that was partly brown. After a day in the water leaves were already shriveling and falling off. 1 sturdy flower was so limp it fell and broke. Then after being nosey I found out they cost 59.99. I saw an arrangement that blows them away that was only 19.99. My friend is still apologizing, yesterday I said, "Stop. You're not the one that did this." I think he's mad he didn't get what was pictured. I even sent Avas the link. I wish I had the pictures on this computer.

I ordered a premium flower arrangement for my daughter’s 50th birthday. The flowers arrived on time, but not from the most popular florist in their hometown like they promised, but from another city. The flowers were not what I ordered at all. I ordered a premium arrangement and paid nearly $80, but they sent a cheap wilted bouquet, that I could buy at my grocery store. The delivery was free, but the delivery person was very rude and sat in the driveway and just honked her horn. No sign on the car as to where they came from. I had also ordered a special card to be attached to the arrangement. That was not there and my daughter had no idea who sent them. Awful experience! How can this business survive with this bad service.

I called to order Local delivery flowers for my boss yesterday 8/6/2018. She was only to be home on her Birthday, one day, yesterday. Avas Flowers Customer Service rep, decided to pad my ticket by adding stuff that cost more ($4.99 bow). So I cleared all that up, then the delivery was NOT made & an "auto outgoing greeting" from Avas Flowers tell me that flowers will be rescheduled until 8/7/2018. I called them @ 5:55-6:00p.m last night, going through all the choices and finally a live man answers. I say, "I'd like to cancel my order because my boss & my friend will NOT be home tomorrow." VERY disappointed!! Paid extra to have flowers delivered to my daughter on her first day of student teaching by 1:00. Not only did they NOT arrive by 1:00, they DID NOT ARRIVE AT ALL! Online tracking had no info. Customer service call at 1:00 was all broken up and full of static. So I asked them to call me right back. Surprise! No phone call. Then I filled out the "Contact Us" form online, but received an error code when I submitted it.
I am currently on the phone again (at 5:20) with customer service to cancel it. They tried to get me to agree to a delivery at her home tomorrow, but, AGAIN, she's at her new high school student teaching! So... "Angel" (the evening supervisor) just informed me that they are going to my daughter's home... Not what I paid for... and they can only refund the $9.99 I paid for "Guaranteed Delivery by 1 pm", which Angel informed me is not guaranteed. Translation? Paying extra for a "delivered by 1 pm guarantee" is not actually guaranteed. What?!? Why have the fee if it is meaningless??? Angel would not give me the owner's name, so I will try other methods to reach him tomorrow.
To be clear - I am the customer. I paid the bill. NO ONE called me about what to do when the flowers couldn't be delivered at 4:20 (according to Angel), so they called my daughter instead (according to Angel). TO BE CLEAR... these were a surprise for her. How would she know to refuse them? This place is a JOKE! NEVER NEVER NEVER ORDER FROM THEM!! I'll be doing research on them tonight and calling the owner in the morning. I will post an update for all would-be customers tomorrow. The Better Business Bureau will also be getting a complaint filed by me.

I found out that my order was replaced with old roses that looked terrible and was nothing like the original arrangement I had ordered. Horrible Florist! I ordered mothers day flowers for my mother who is 93. There were supposed to be flowers, balloons and a card. I originally ordered from a national florist who apparently farms out orders to this company. All this company delivered were dead flowers and one of their business cards with "love, (my name)" in barely legible writing on the back. When I called to complain the number that was on their business card the people I spoke to barely spoke English. They refused to refund me or do anything to help and actually laughed at me when I said it was probably my moms last mothers day. They then hung up on me and refused to answer the phone after that when I tried to call. Now that I am contesting the charge with my cc company they claim they would have picked the dead flowers up. LIARS! This company should be ashamed of themselves and should be shut down.

As all the reviews I have read after my husband ordered from Ava's Flowers, they had to delay the order, substitute another flower, but the big thing was, Roses (which were nice) came in a huge vase, with no greenery to fill in the holes. I could have clipped a nicer looking bunch of weeds from my yard. They claimed they were going to redeliver twice, nope, never showed, now we are on the phone for a refund. We will see... Don't use this place... Order from your local florist and have them use someone they trust in another city... Leave flowers to the pros.

I placed the order over the phone saying that I wanted an arrangement of IRIS flowers. They said it would have some but not all iris. My receipt later emailed to me said "iris flowers if available". When the bouquet arrived it had no iris flowers. I called in, they said sorry and would give me $10.00 off next order. It was classified as a medium bouquet and cost 82.00. I really could have done as well at the supermarket.

I ordered a midsize palm plant to be delivered to my brother in law's funeral service out of state. The picture showed a lovely palm with a pink bow. I requested that the plant be accented with a red, white, blue color as he was a veteran. I was absolutely disgusted when I saw the photo of the plant that my sister sent me. The plant itself was quite unsatisfactory. Worse, they had put a stingy, droopy pink bow with a pink card on it. Since I was unable to attend the service, my intention was to be ‘present’ symbolically with a lovely plant - my brother in law loved plants. I was furious with the almost $130.00 result. I will NEVER again use this service. I have yet to receive any response from my emails to them.

I placed an order for flowers to be delivered to my wife at 8:30 AM on August 2, 2018 and said that they needed to arrive at the hospital that she works at, by 1 PM. Avas gladly took my order and assured me that the process would be completed as discussed. After calling Avas four separate times throughout the day to check on my order, I was given such a run. I was told that they could not guarantee at which time the flowers would be delivered. My wife and I were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary.
At 2:30 PM I called again, was put on hold for 15 minutes, at which time (for the second time) they said that they could not get in touch with their delivery man. My wife left work at 3 PM and the flowers, still had not been delivered. Avas said that they would deliver them to my home, far from where the hospital is located and for my trouble, they offered me a 15% discount. I told them that I did not want the flowers delivered any longer. The flowers showed up at the hospital somewhere between 3:30 and 4 PM.
I disputed this purchase with my credit card company, who told me I am not responsible for this charge. The whole purpose of this purchase, was for the flowers to arrive to my wife at work, when the staff she works with, could have witnessed the delivery. I should have checked Avas Flowers reviews online, prior to making the purchase. I did not do so. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

Below is a brief summary of my order experience with Avas Flowers in Orlando (online) June 27th. Please find below the issues I have had with order number ** for Marie **. I ordered flowers on their website around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27th. The same day option was available, so I selected it. Within a half hour, I received a delivery notice. Shortly thereafter, I received a call and an email from your company stating the delivery could not be made that day.
I called them when I was out of my meeting and was told there was a glitch and was guaranteed the flowers would be delivered by noon on Thursday, June 28th. The next day, Thursday, I called prior to 10 a.m. to confirm delivery prior to noon, which I received. I called shortly before twelve and was told the driver was out for delivery. The customer service agent did call the florist. I called sometime around 1 p.m. or thereafter to ask where the flowers were. The agent contacted the florist again with the same response.
I arrived back in the office at 3:45 p.m. and was told by the security guard he had received the flowers from the delivery person within the last half hour. The flowers had been stored in an un-airconditioned trunk and a few were sticking out of the arrangement. He fixed this and delivered them to Ms. **. The flowers looked nothing like the picture on their website. Website selection was Lovely Lavender for $57.99 and looked beautiful. The actual bouquet had purple flowers, no lavender, absolutely nothing like the picture. I could have purchased a much nicer bouquet of flowers at Publix, Sam's or Costco.
Due to the issues with delivery and the fact that the actual floral arrangement was not even close to the one pictured on Avas Flowers' website (even taking into account that florists may have different flowers on hand), I requested a refund. In the past, I have used local florist In Bloom or ordered online with Teleflora and 1-800-Flowers and have never had an issue even remotely problematic. Bottom Line: I will never use this online vendor again. Terrible customer service, a huge waste of time, product not even close to what was advertised, a lot of aggravation, and no discount whatsoever.

DO NOT FOLLOW GIVEN INSTRUCTION: I telephonically ordered an arrangement (online was less expensive but I was amending the online photo). I asked, and it was confirmed, that I wanted the arrangement with 6 roses and not the pictured 3, along with a variety of other flowers. This was a 40th birthday gift to a dear friend who recently assisted my family during a funeral for my son. That said, the roses were to represent a rose for each family member...and one white for my son, the recipient's dear friend. The Avas customer service stated it would not be a problem and they would place the white rose in the center. When the flowers were delivered it was the online photo (3 roses) and NOT what was agreed upon and also the first name of the birthday recipient was incorrect.
When I received my callback from Avas they apologized and offered a 10% discount, stating their "service was provided". I insisted MY order was not fulfilled, they delivered what they wanted (although they read my request over the phone of 6 roses). He just kept repeating "the flowers were delivered". I strongly recommend NOT TO ORDER FROM AVAS. Perhaps with no business they may shut down and not cause disappointment to other customers. I gave specific instructions regarding delivery - NOT FOLLOWED. I asked for One dozen red roses - ONE DOZEN WHITE ROSES DELIVERED. I called (x4) and e-mailed (x6) to complain; NO E-MAIL RESPONSE. Needed to send Sympathy flowers to Kapaa, HI. Avas Flowers advertised as being located in Kapaa, which was perfect. Ordered flowers and a week later received delivery notice. Called friend several weeks later and no flowers delivered. Called Avas and was told they had no one in Kapaa to do flowers. Asked why they didn't tell me and give me a refund. I ordered some flowers from these people yesterday. It was a last minute order, that needed to go out that day. I found them by looking for florist in the Corona Area in California. This company came up. I usually look into a business before I order, but because this was so last minute I didn't do that, and boy did that come and bite me in the rear. This COMPANY IS AWFUL!!! I wish I had of read these reviews. I'll say one thing they do stand in the Negative category for sure. I ordered a bright cheerful bouquet, even made it large with balloons to be attached. The recipient send me a picture of what it looked like and it didn't look anything like what I ordered!!! It looked more like a sympathy bouquet.
I called to complain, and they said the pictures they use are stock photos, and that the finished product does not necessarily look like the picture. It didn't look anything like the picture. They told me they put more roses in the flowers, I didn't want more roses, I wanted it to look like the picture. They were not willing to refund me any money except for 1 balloon. They felt what they sent was better than the picture, and it WAS NOT! I am going to post how bad this company is so other people don't get the same treatment or the same product as I did. I have a picture of what I ordered, and what they delivered. Boy after reading all this negative reviews, I'm surprised they are in business still. My 11 year old granddaughter just had a brain tumor removed and once she got into a reg. room, I ordered a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a pink vase, 3 balloons and a teddy bear to be delivered which the email said before 7pm it will be delivered. My husband gets the confirmation that it was delivered. She never got them. I send an email to the manager and she claims to be trying to reach the store that claimed they delivered them but no response yet. I feel like I got robbed out of $115 and my granddaughter got robbed out of a gift that would have cheered her up!!

No star should be given. Unacceptable service during a time I am already grieving. The flowers never made it to the funeral and instead of crediting the account immediately, I had to talk with several different reps that refuse to care about my concern or show any empathy even after telling them that they were not empathetic at all. If they could not handle this order they should have been honest so I could use another florist and get the flowers sent before funeral. I asked for a manager 5 different times and never got one or a call back from one. Makes me feel either they don’t care or there is no manager. Not to mention A Customer service executive hung up on me and someone from their delivery department. It’s just not good business. I will never use this florist again.
Funerals and sympathy Flowers should be given priority because families are already dealing with loss of loved ones. No one wants to chase down flowers. None of the reps I talked to seem to show any urgency to this issue. The time taken to make several calls and sending several messages to This florist has caused extra unnecessary stress to me personally. I am truly hurt by this company’s treatment of me. My recommendation is if it is important to you, use another florist. I also complained to Trustpilot and only then did this florist decide to credit me for no service provided via a blog. Still no personal call. Who is the owner? That was a question the reps would not give an answer to.
I can never get that time back. Funeral is over and my family looks like we didn’t care enough to send flowers. I never make complaints but this was such a terrible experience that I don’t want anyone to experience this. They need training on how to handle customers. They blamed my experience on their designer not advising them they didn’t send flowers. What a pathetic excuse! At what point do you inform your customer that you can’t meet a deadline so they can choose another florist or find another designer. I never ever received a personal call from the manager apologizing for their error. Never was asked, “What can we do to win your business back with us.” I feel they should have tried to send free flowers to my family since this was a major judgment error on their part. They really just could care less. Stay away from this sad excuse of a business! It’s not worth taking a chance on. They should be investigated.

I ordered flowers online from this company that is a 3rd party. They don’t even deal with flowers. They wire your order to a unknown florist close to where you're sending the arrangement. The flowers I picked were not even close to what I ordered. When I called them they called the florist that sent them. That florist turned around and called me directly apologizing for it not being what I ordered in looks or equal to the money I spent. She told them she couldn’t do the flowers and that she didn’t do cards like they also made me pay for. Avas told her to do her own choice and send it anyway. She said she has problems like that all the time and doesn’t like to work for them. Please don’t use this company!!! They don’t do or send what you pay for!!!!

I placed an order the day before deliver. They were all sweetness and nice. The arrangement was not delivered. Could not get any answers. Called at least 4 times to get a status of delivery. They said it will take 24 hours. They had to get in touch with their "designer". Which means who they farmed out to. Could not get them to respond and of course they ended up being closed. Takes the excitement of sending flowers. Plus I had to contact the person I sent them to. Very very disappointed.

I ordered "The Artist's Design Flower Basket" and upgraded to a large. This was suppose to be a basket with fresh flowers. What my friend got was an ugly pot with two scrawny plants and a green plant. And, one of the flowers were broken. I contacted Avas immediately and got some lame excuse that made no sense. I sent them a picture of the delivery showing how it was nothing like I ordered. They offered me a $10 credit and a $10 store credit, as if I would ever use them again. I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. Never use this place for flowers, you could do better at your local grocery store.

I recently bought flowers for my mom's birthday. On the day of delivery I got a call from customer service telling me there was a problem with the order. I called back less than a minute later and received an automated machine. It told me there was a problem with the order but they were working to fix it. I went through an automated system to try to speak to a real person.
Finally an hour later I was able to go through the automated callback experience to speak to a real person who informed me I needed to pay more money to have my flowers delivered... Excuse me? After paying an enormous amount in handling fees ($15 for $30 flowers), they were telling me I needed to pay them more? That is terrible customer service. It is unacceptable to call a person the day of delivery to ask for more money. When I asked for a refund they offered it in the form of "store" credit. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with them again.

I ordered two dozen roses, a teddy bear and candy. I ordered them 3 days ahead of my sister-in-law's 60th birthday. The picture shows them colorful and beautifully arranged. Although delivered on the day requested, it was late in the afternoon before they arrived. She sent pictures to all of the family showing us her flowers. I was horrified to see that the bouquet on Avas website wasn't even close to the flowers my SIL received. They were clumped together by color and just stuck in a vase. No arrangement, no thought to how it looked, and they used such similar colors that the bouquet didn't stand out. In the picture on the website showed yellow, red, pink, orange beautifully arranged in a slim vase.
My SIL got red, pink, lavender, white. Very bland colors and not the WOW factor showed on the website. And, further, some of the roses had already bloomed and maybe has another day or two on them before you would have to throw them out. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING. And, to top it off, the bill was almost $100.00. Although I heard back from the company and offered me a 20% discount on my next arrangement, plus a $15 in store credit whatever that means, I will not EVER use this company again and would advise anyone else to beware of what you get from them. I thought they were like a FTD, that a local florist would end up making the arrangement and delivering it. That doesn't seem to be the case. It sounds like they are shipped UPS to your requested location from their warehouse. If I had known that ahead of time, I wouldn't have used them.

Ordered flowers over the phone 3 days in advance, confirmed the arrangement "Sunset in Belize." Called me the day they were to deliver saying that the flowers I picked out they are out of Gerbera daisies, could they substitute for roses and carnation. Well kinda stuck. Need arrangement to be delivered. Reluctantly okay change. Not even close in color, size, greenery or arrangement, totally different. Needless to say not ever using again, can you say bait and switch. I paid over 60 dollars...not happy. Don't use.

After getting screwed by 1800flowers.com calling me the day of my mother's birthday to say they couldn't deliver my mother in-law's flowers at the agreed upon time, we spoke with Becky from Avas Flowers in Conway SC. We informed her of our issues, and she double checked with the driver to see if it was possible to deliver. She came back and said they could accommodate us. So we paid the $81 for the small arrangement. The next day, my mother in-law still had no flowers. So we called to express our disappointment. We spoke with the "manager" Allen, who attempted to skirt around a full refund for our dissatisfaction by offering store credit with a $20 bonus added to it.
Then when we declined, became rude with us on the phone saying "he knew what he needed to do, and didn't need us to tell him what to do" based on the refund we wanted. I will NEVER use them again EVER... This was a first and only time experience with this company. This experience concluded with being informed that our refund may take up to 10 days!? We are VERY unsatisfied with the level of service with this company. If I were you, I would find another florist in that area.

Horrific experience all the way around. Flowers ordered out of state. Do they think you won't know if they deliver poor quality. They are not local. They don't know? Looked like gas station bouquet. I get better from my local grocery shop for 10x less. Well Over $50. Wasted. The floral shop Lemon Tree didn't stand behind their product. I had to force Avas to stand behind their guarantee satisfaction delivery and reattempt. 2 days later a delivery was made and it was worse. Money wasted, zero refund and they said they won't do more.
Their business practice their vendors are all horrible. Helen Keller could put together a bouquet better. The website showed beautiful full arrangements bursting with flowers and little green filler. Even the least expensive bouquet is pretty online. I received nothing of the sort. Not to mention it was not Lavender. I guess my friend can now take both poor cheap arrangements and put them into one vase to maybe get one big ugly bouquet. Stay away from Avas Flowers unless you want to get robbed.

I placed an order on July 2, 2018 to be delivered on July 11, 2018, to a home in East Tawas Michigan. Plenty of time, no holidays or weekends, everything should have been good, right? WRONG! My order was over $100!! Right now it's noon on the 12th, the order still IS NOT delivered. I will NEVER order from this place again. This was a very important delivery.

I have never been so disappointed or so frustrated as I was in dealing with Avas Flowers’s. My daughter got engaged recently and she’s in a different state, so we wanted to send flowers to congratulate them. Being a retired florist myself, and raising both of my daughters at the flower shop, I understand how hectic things can get, and I am extremely familiar with floral lingo and types and quality of all flowers. So when I ordered a “premium” arrangement of bridal whites and light apple greens, and was looking at the picture on their website, I was actually thinking that’s what they were going to send. Sergio not only assured me it would look like that, but it would also be delivered that very same day. So imagine my surprise when I got a picture from my daughter of the arrangement that was actually sent, a day late I might add. Spray painted green carnations, white daisies, a couple roses and a lily? I was appalled.
Not only did I spend a LOT of money, but the excitement and happiness of receiving flowers was lost because of the lack of quality, and tackiness of the design. Fast forward to the next day, called Avas to discuss the problem. We were basically told tough luck. The customer satisfaction and guarantee they have on their website meant nothing. I was offered a 10.00 coupon. So, if you want to make a really bad impression and send tacky, cheap, wilted flowers... go through Avas. You’ll definitely get that. If you want quality and fresh product, go DIRECTLY to the florist in the zip code you are sending to. Avas is ONLY an order gatherer... They are NOT THE FLORIST. And they will NOT take care of you or honor their word.

I live in Florida. My grandfather's funeral is in Michigan... Ordered flower spray for my grandfathers funeral. Upgraded it to Premium package. Description states the flowers it consists of... Roses! and Lilies! Which were important. Made the arrangement look Amazing. Spent $197. The flowers arrive at the funeral home and it is nothing but mums/carnations and daisies. I am beside myself that I trusted a company other than the one I typically use to handle such an event. This is false advertising. They say their product is such (pictures attached) Yet it is a cheap rendition that does not even compare to what is advertised.

Ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered the next day and paid a fee to have the flowers delivered by 1pm. A confirmation email was sent with all the details. When the flowers did not show up by 2:30pm I called the company who said the delivery date just got changed to the following day. They did refund $9.99 for the express delivery charge but offered no compensation or explanation for the lack of delivery on the confirmed day. Who knows if the flowers will ever show up and what they will look like. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Wish I had read all these reviews before ordering.

I phoned in an order of flowers for my daughter-in-law's surgery to be delivered the next day. The person assured me that they would be beautiful and had a florist close by (this is a fairly large town in California) who could deliver them on time. Well, three days later -- nothing. Called and they said they couldn't deliver them as promised and would have to reroute to another delivery company for more money- which is a huge red flag. I cancelled my order and am contacting my credit card company and am wondering if all florists are now in the con artist business, because this has happened to me several times in the past year. I’m really pissed off about this!!! The absolute worst customer service ever! I went to Avas Flowers’ website to order flowers to be delivered to my wife’s work for our 19th wedding anniversary. From the site, I picked out an arrangement of a dozen fresh cut roses to be delivered the next day, which was our anniversary. I went through all the prompts, but the site wouldn’t take the zip code. I didn’t understand why and after several attempts, I called customer service and the young lady I talked to ask me for a code at the bottom of the screen. I had to look hard for it because it was very small but I eventually found it. She began to go through my order and then added that if I want to have the flowers delivered at a certain time, it will be an expedited charge of $10. I said ok but then she told me that the arrangement I picked out was not available today and started to describe a substitute.
First, I mentioned to her that the site said fresh cut roses next day. I don’t need them today. I need them for tomorrow. She continued on without acknowledging what I said and proceeded to substitute me with an arrangement that was twice the cost of what I originally picked out. I told her, "Never mind, just cancel my order." I said thank you and I hung up. Two minutes later, my cell phone rings. I check the number but I didn’t recognize it, so I ignored it. The same number calls me again, I answer it and it’s the same attendant from Avas Flowers I first talked to. She went on to say “we can get you this nice bouquet of a dozen roses. It will look really pretty, and this is the amount you will pay." That price was still higher than what I picked out but I went with it. The young lady went through the details of my order and I originally asked for the flowers to be delivered to my wife’s work between 12-1 pm before she leaves.
The young lady said, “Oh, we can do it for you as early as 10 am.” I said “really, that’s even better! Can you please do that?” She says yes and continues to finish the order. She gets the description for the card, my email address for a confirmation, my credit card number, and she completes the order. She then tells me that I will get an email confirmation in the next few minutes. I said thank you and ended the call. A few minutes later, I received an email confirmation and it said deliver before 7 pm. I immediately called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I voiced my concern to the supervisor and told him what I had ordered. He puts me on hold because he said he had to speak to his designers and comes back to say the price I paid for my arrangement didn’t include an expedited fee of $15. Wait just a minute sir. The lady attendant said the expedited charge was $10. I got off the phone with her less than 10 minutes ago, now it’s $15?!?!
I said “no sir. She called me twice to get me to purchase flowers from you and the price that she quoted me the second time was higher than what I originally picked out and I thought that price included the expedited charge.” The supervisor said it did not. I said “that’s ok. Just refund me my money and I’ll go somewhere else.” He said to "Hold for a minute sir and let me speak to my designer." He comes back and says that "We won’t charge you an expedited fee but is it ok if we can deliver to your wife around 12 pm?" I said that is fine. She will still be at work. We ended the call.
Today is our anniversary day and my wife calls me a little before 12 pm to let me know that she got the flowers, to tell me thank you, and gave me the rundown about how she got them at work with all the nice comments. I said, "That’s great, I love you, and see you at home tonight." When I got home that evening, I walked into the kitchen and saw that arrangement on the table and I was shocked! I asked my wife “where are the rest of the roses?” She said “that’s what I got.” To my displeasure, they only sent her a half dozen roses!!! I am still really pissed and embarrassed over this!!! 19 years and my wife gets is a half dozen roses!! I never send my wife a half dozen roses on our anniversary!! They are not what I asked for. They are not what I paid for. Someone messed up.
So the next day, I called and talk to attendant. I asked to speak to a supervisor but one wasn’t available, so I explained what happened with my order. This lady was very cold and dismissive and acted as if I was the one that did something wrong. So I asked for a refund. The lady attendant said, "We can’t do that. We can send out the rest of the roses to you tomorrow or have someone pick up the arrangement that you have at no cost to you." I told her yesterday was mine and my wife’s anniversary. Not today or tomorrow.
After arguing on the phone with her for a few minutes, I said to her that since I got half of the arrangement, just refund me half of what I paid. She said, "We shouldn’t have to refund you for the delivery service because you got that service." "But according to your supervisor, I don’t pay an expedited charge. I just wanted half of what I was charge." She then said, "I can refund you for half of the bouquet" (but she said earlier that she couldn’t do a refund) but the refunded amount wasn’t half of what I paid. I said to her this is not half. She argued and said, "We don’t refund services. I’ll give you half for the bouquet, that’s all sir, ok. Have a great day" and hung up the phone.
I read their policy and it states “Refunds or credits given for orders that have already been delivered or have had an attempted delivery will only be for the partial or full cost of the arrangement(s), less any service, handling, or restocking fees.” Your policy shouldn’t overshadow customer service!!! This company is horrible!! I will never buy anything from them again nor recommend them to anyone!!

I wish I had read the reviews for this company before ordering from them. The flowers I ordered for my mother's birthday were never delivered; now I am in a labyrinthine process of trying to get a refund, which Avas Flowers is clearly going to make difficult or impossible. You'd think that a company that deals with sensitive moments in people's private lives, like deaths and birthdays, would have a little more integrity. Also, how can a company be a "local" company all over the entire country? I am astounded by the complete dishonesty, incompetence, and greed of this company. I guess there is some comfort in hoping that all of these bad reviews will catch up with them and they'll go out of business, leaving room for florists that are ACTUALLY locally-owned. (Lesson learned: always read online reviews first!)

I ordered an arrangement. I was contacted the day of the delivery to change the delivery time. This so called local florist was NOT local. St Pete is a heck of a distance from Holmes Beach. Then when the new agreed upon delivery time came and past I called them. Someone had the BALLS to cancel the delivery without contacting me. I called in again and had to give them an alternate address for the delivery so now it's hopefully being delivered a day later. I will never use them again and I will leave a bad review for them every time I see an ad for them. ~ VERY DISGUSTED!!!

Flowers ordered three days in advance. We could not be together on my wife's 50th birthday, so I ordered flowers to be delivered where she was staying. Nothing arrived ever, and they sent me confirmation that they had been delivered. Don't waste your time or money with this business. F rating with BBB...gee I wonder why.

I had the same horrible experience as others. Ordered flowers three days in advance for a visitation that I wasn't able to attend, at a funeral home in another state. Got 'urgent message' from Avas to call the day of the visitation; they couldn't be delivered. I asked that they be delivered to the church the following morning for the second visitation and service. I was assured they'd be there. Then came another 'urgent message' the next day that I was to call again--of course, after the service was over. Yep, they weren't able to get them there on time, but they would deliver them to an alternate home address, or send a fruit basket instead. I said no... I wanted a full refund. I was offered less than half what I paid. I said no, that when I hung up I was contacting my credit card company... and that's what got me a full refund.
Very frustrating to deal with customer service agents who were obviously in another country and difficult to communicate with... lots of background noise including music playing, people yelling back and forth, and someone singing. In the end, the situation was embarrassing when I had ordered the flowers on behalf of a number of family members, not to mention the fact that I wanted to pay respects to the family of the deceased individual. I did get an apology via email, and when I replied, I asked for the name of the local florist who was to deliver the flowers. (I suspected that an order had never been placed). In a reply, they refused to give me the name of the florist "for security reasons".

Horrible experience. Charged me $18 to NOT get my flowers delivered to the funeral! Supervisor in customer service promised me it would be done... not to worry... told her I had to take my husband to Houston Medical Center today. Got home with urgent message wanting an "alternate address" because florist couldn't deliver to funeral home in time! Who wants a large funeral spray brought to their home after a funeral? I don't even know an alternate address anyway. Never use this company!!! Most of their customer service people barely speak English.
You can't understand much of what they say. In addition, they claim they will send you an email of the invoice so any errors can be corrected, but I never received any invoice on either of the two sprays that ultimately were ordered! No invoice, but still charged a service fee of $18. No flowers for the funeral. No customer service. If you really want flowers and service, find a florist in that town and call them directly.

My friend ordered an edible arrangement on June 12th for my birthday (June 13th) and was told it would be delivered. On June 13th he received three calls from this company, the first to say they could not deliver to my work address because of the work atmosphere??? He said ok, then send some roses; the second call was to say they did not have any roses to send and they would be getting a shipment of fruit in on June 13th and could make the original requested arrangement but it could not be delivered until June 14th, he said ok; then finally the third call said they could not make the requested arrangement but would send a nice arrangement.
My friend was hot by this time. Well on June 14th I received a fruit and cheese box - when I say the box looked like a gift for your grandparents, it was not a gift you would give someone for their birthday... it was a couple of apples and oranges, crackers and spreadable cheese with a funky color ribbon. I was too hurt by the mess they sent. My friend called to complain and talked to three different people that could not speak or understand ENGLISH, after a couple of calls, he was refunded $19 back. This cost him $100, it looked like a $20 box.
I am asking everyone that reads this review not to order from this company, they are taking advantage of consumers in their time of need. They are all about the MONEY!!! The government should CLOSE them down and make them refund the our money. We should start a class action lawsuit against them. They are violating some laws I know. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I WISH I COULD PLACE AN AD NEXT TO THEIR AD THAT READS... THROWING YOUR MONEY out of your window is so much better than using this company... Run fast!!!

I cannot say enough about how horrible and unprofessional Avas Flowers is! I ordered a plant arrangement for Father's Day, received confirmation for delivery by 7pm, tracked it online as "scheduled for delivery, awaiting update from driver". It was not ever delivered, I called to resolve 4 times the following day, was told it was "on the truck for delivery", which also didn't happen, then was informed VIA EMAIL (after being told I would get a call back), it would be delivered the following day, with an upgraded arrangement which didn't solve anything because the gift was now 2 days late!
After calling back for the 4th time and canceling the order, repeating the problem to different reps over and over again, I was put on hold, then back to the main menu, and they STILL had the audacity to charge me a "service" fee!! For WHAT service?? No delivery, run around and lying about delivery status, frustration and hours wasted trying to fix this issue is the only service I received from Avas! Do NOT even consider using this company!

USE ANOTHER COMPANY. You will not be satisfied. I wanted to have next-day flowers delivered for my mom's 70th birthday. We spoke the day after and she mentioned the flowers never arrived. I was so upset I called Ava's flowers, spent almost 1 hr trying to get in touch with someone and finally was told the delivery attempt was at 7 am in the morning, no one had answered and they would then attempt delivery again on Monday, two days after the intended date. No note was left, no call was made to let me know this had occurred. My mom had no idea flowers were sent to her and the company had the nerve to tell me they were not delivering on Sunday even though it was Father's Day and they had Father's Day promotions all over their website. The manager I spoke with had no ability or authority to do anything about. I was heartbroken with this service. Will never use it again.

Frankly, I think this place is a scam. You place an order that they don't deliver and don't call to tell you there a problem. When you call, they say they'll deliver but they can't deliver the same bouquet. Why not? Uh, they just can't, but they'll give you a bigger bouquet of the same quality and a 10% discount. The next delivery is the same size and looks like a bouquet you'd pick up at the supermarket for $12. Do they refund the money? No. They're willing to cancel the order and come and pick up the bouquet. How nice, taking the bouquet from the person who received it. You get a $12 bouquet for $50. And the person on the phone was nasty. Stay away.

After calling their customer service department & 4 times being disconnected, this guy has the stones to tell me that the way they can make it right is to take 20% off the next order -despicable!
I refuse to spend money with these guys after this experience. There will be no next order with them. This is actually the second time they messed up my order. I ordered flowers with balloon bouquet for my mother in law. Charged $94 in total. The flowers delivered looked like $4 grocery bouquet and no balloons. I called 4-5 times and never got through to customer service. I sent no less than 10 emails and no response. I tried to leave an evaluation on their site but under to log in. Big scam company. I found all these true review sites after I ordered. The reviews on the site are not true.

I placed an order online with Avas Flowers. The confirmation e-mail I received described what flowers were to be in the bouquet. My cousin sent me a picture of the arrangement she received and it does not look like what I ordered, nor did the size align with the amount I paid for it. After I complained to customer service both telephonically and by e-mail, I learned that Avas had actually outsourced my order to another local florist. Avas Flowers offered a $6 credit but would not do anything beyond that. They would not re-send a bouquet with the correct flowers. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Every time I called I was transferred to someone else; the same with e-mails. I dealt with 4-6 different people by phone and e-mail. It was a nightmare. I would not recommend this company whatsoever.

Looked at other BAD reviews. Mine was the same. Not just a messed up order but I believe fraud was involved. I ordered a vase, dozen roses, teddy bear and a balloon. All overcharged items but was for a special occasion. My 92 year old Mom was in the hospital with heart failure and this would be her last order of flowers so I wanted it to be nice. Purchased choices and when I went to check out the company added an $18 charge for handling which I didn't see listed anywhere, and I don't like these kind of surprises, and I don't believe it is ethical.
So I called the Co and they said they would waive the charge if I ordered through them on the phone. Which was a total lie as when I checked the order later they had deleted custom items I ordered to keep the price of $100, which as what I was quoted. Some mistakes made, not a big deal but altogether was a nightmare. I ordered a red vase which was shown, which was my Mom's favorite color, chose a white teddy bear and a get well balloon with a note. Received a clear cheap looking plastic vase, roses a little wilted, the teddy bear was brown and not the white as I ordered and there was NO balloon that I paid for. And lasted they addressed to card to Alan instead of Mary Ellen which was my Mom's name.
I was in the hospital with her for five days, so called Avas Flowers as soon as I got home. Before calling them I checked the order, which I should have done before. The balloon was not shown on the order. I'm assuming this was done to keep $8 for their profit. They charged for an extra ribbon I didn't order? and lastly the $18 charge which was supposed to be waived was added into the total. I WAS FURIOUS. You won't believe this but I was on the phone for only 5 minutes. They didn't want to talk to me, was rude, said it was past the time for a complaint and his supervisor would say the same, when I requested to talk to him.
With all the mistakes above, being an ethical person, I would have paid $50 which was the discounted price for the rose alone. I told them I was going to dispute the charge, they said they didn't care, so that's what I've done. Very unprofessional experience, poor quality product, poor customer service and fraudulent charges added to order. There are plenty of other flower companies to buy from online. Sad and disappointed. :(

I ordered the deluxe bouquet called 'Birthday Charm'. The delivery was NOT same day as advertised, and was finally delivered at 6:30 pm at the end of the next day. It appears that they did not have the correct flowers, and gave me an arrangement of only purple and yellow daisies with a weird peach colored old rosebud in the middle (roses are not even supposed to be in this bouquet!). They lied and said they were having trouble with their truck - but it was obvious they did not have the correct flowers on hand. Also, I requested a lavender ribbon, and was given a lime green one. The grand total was $78.00 and I could have purchased a better bouquet myself in my local grocery store and hand delivered them myself. I was so shocked to see this bouquet, and felt so ripped off! Never again!

To be honest this was the first time I have ever ordered flowers and have them delivered to someone. I have heard from a couple of my coworkers that doing this for someone was a good idea and they were happy with the service. I am not sure what company they used and I assumed all flower companies that offered this same day delivery were all good but I was wrong with you guys Avas Flowers. The day I ordered flowers from you guys was over the phone and I made sure I told the guy I spoke to various times that I wanted the flowers delivered to my daughter who had turned 16 to PLEASE have them there delivered before she got out at 4pm.
I know I placed the order in the morning to allow you guys to have time to deliver. I had to call you guys to check on the order almost at 3 pm to see what the status was and the guy said that they hadn’t delivered them yet. The whole idea was for my daughter to have her flowers and balloons with her all day. When I told this to the guy he simply replied they will be there before 4 pm and he asked me if I wanted him to call the flower shop and I told him to give me the number and I would call them myself and he said he couldn’t do that. I even offered to pick them up myself and deliver them so my daughter could have them before school ended and he kept repeating that she will get them before 4 pm. She received Old Flowers that seemed to be at the flower shop for days and balloons that were halfway inflated and one of them had a piece of tape to make it look that was fully inflated.
My experience with you guys was a little bit sour with your services. There’s a small flower shop close to my work that my boss recommended me to, and I love their service. I have bought flowers for my wife and they are always fresh and inexpensive like you guys and I REGRET not using them for this occasion. I really wanted to give you guys a chance because it was same day delivery and I didn’t have time to go to the other flower shop I always use because I couldn’t get out of work that day. The flower shop is called SERENDIPITY FLOWERS here in Santa Ana CA. I will make sure to always use them for my flower needs. I wanted to do a good deed and send my mom some flowers. I used the company and selected to have the arrangement delivered the same day. I received an email at 8:50am that my mom's flowers would be delivered at 4pm or before. This did not happen. When I contacted customer service and asked to be compensated for it not being the same day delivery, I was told "we dont guarantee same day".
The representatives were rude and I was told "I ain't got no supervisor" when I had to beg to speak to one to get my money back. I was refunded for the flowers but not for the service fee. The internal email response was garbage as well. I'm disgusted and I'd rather pick flowers and arrange them myself versus have that company do anything else for me. Garbage garbage garbage and now I'm having to fight for my 18 + service fee to be refunded...save yourself the trouble!!! Find another florist. They are not even accredited. I should have done my homework on them. Save yourselves.

I ordered flowers online for my wife who was in Seattle having medical treatments. I paid a total of $69+ dollars. The flowers arrived with a sympathy card - really. They were nothing like pictured. They were small and not properly arranged. My wife studied floral arranging in college. The arrangement was very small and crowded and not attractive at all. There were 3 roses, 4 carnations and 3 snapdragons. I paid $69 for this. When I reached out to customer services I was told to send a picture which I did. They said there was nothing wrong with the flowers. Well I have used Avas for years and will not be using them again. Horrible customer services, horrible product. A real ripoff. The entire arrangement is about 10.5" tall. My wife bought $12 worth of flowers and made three beautiful arrangements for herself for various rooms in the house. All were way more beautiful than the one I sent for $69+.

I too wish that I had checked this company out a little better. I ordered flowers on Friday around 11:30 for my parent's anniversary (a surprise), for delivery that day. Received a call within an hour from Avas Flowers saying that they could not deliver them that day, but could deliver them the next day with a free upgrade on the bouquet. I reluctantly agreed. Today is Monday and no flower were delivered. Called to check on the status and the recording said they were scheduled to be delivered tomorrow! Tuesday! Definitely not acceptable!!! Called and spoke with a foreign guy who put me on hold for a while and came back and said that "they had unfortunately dropped the ball" with my order. I requested a refund, and was told that the order had already been sent to UPS. Gave me a refund of $6.79 on a $50 order and some kind of "points" towards future purchases. So it is yet to be seen if my mother gets her flowers or not.

I ordered flower stems for my sister in law to arrange for my mother in law's funeral. They were ordered and confirmed on Tuesday. Charged $134. For delivery on Saturday. Saturday morning I receive an urgent text saying they cannot comply with my requested order but could send some white arrangements. That was specifically NOT what I ordered or wanted. I then canceled but the POS charged me $18.95 anyway. This company is awful!!! Do not trust them with your order!!!

This is a terrible service. I have waited 4 days to have a plant delivered. The plant still hasn't arrived. Called AVAS for a refund so I could use a different service. They refuse the refund until they "look into" the situation. Supervisor can't seem to do anything about the situation. They do not stand behind their service. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I ordered flowers for our 5th anniversary and wanted to surprise my wife. I paid extra for expedited delivery before 1 PM. I called the company at 1 PM and got a runaround for 30 minutes until a person finally answered and said, “Let me check on that.” He was gone 15 minutes and came back on the line and said he no contact but he was "pretty" sure the flowers were on the truck for delivery. I told him that I had paid extra for expedited delivery and he said it was hard for them to guarantee a delivery time. I said that's why I paid the expedited fee. He did offer to refund the expedited delivery fee but nothing else and the anniversary surprise is already ruined. I will never order from AVAS and not recommend them to anyone.

I attempted to order flowers for same-day delivery for a friend who had surgery. Unfortunately, I ordered these flowers in confidence thinking that they would be delivered same day as promised in my order. I received a call, reporting that they were unable to fulfill this order. Instead of providing me with a viable option to have flowers to deliver that day. They were insistent on referring me to another florist for an significant additional upcharge charge to have these flowers delivered on a different day. They refused to provide me with a refund that I requested because they were unable to fill my order as promised. The customer service extremely poor, the representative I spoke with on the phone was insistent on delivering the flowers the next week (mind you I ordered and paid for same day delivery), however would still need to charge more?
I have used several flower companies in the past without difficulty. This has by far been my worst experience. Would most definitely not recommend this company to anyone. I am unable to leave a review on their official website. Now I am left without flower delivery and no refund. I have contacted my very pleasant concierge at American Express to help me handle this as Avas Flowers will not provide me with a refund although no services or products was rendered.

Oh how I wished I would have read the reviews on this company before I ordered from them!! Please know the 1 star reviews (I wish I could give them ZERO stars) are right. They do not deliver, they billed my credit card for double orders and will not refund. The customer service is a JOKE. I do not know how they stay in business!!! STAY AWAY and save yourself the heartache of finding out the day of your supposed delivery that they cannot deliver until the following week at best.

Ordered and had delivered for Mother's Day a WGP 1348 Rosemary tree (5/12) which was delivered perfectly as expected. Within 3 weeks, the tree developed a white substance or fungus and the plant died. Assuming Avas would want to keep me as a customer, I call customer service on 5/30 to request a replacement due to the diseased plant and was told by Albert (a customer service "manager") that he would investigate and call me back to see what could be done. He did not call back so I called again on 5/31 and spoke to Oscar (another c.s. "manager") who told me because their policy was honoring only complaints made within 24 - 48 hours, that the best they could do was a credit of $15. (Price of this tree is $57.)
Told Oscar that I have a pic of the fungus on the plant and could send it...asked to speak to his boss and suddenly no other "manager" was available. So, ended the conversation telling him I was pulling my account with them, would do no further business with them, and would share my dissatisfaction with any customers I could tell. Do not understand why they do not stand behind the quality of their products especially farm grown plants. They have lost all my business now. Their customer service sucks as it is designed to make it difficult to navigate their structure to get satisfaction and gives no means of writing reviews on their website.

I thought I ordered flowers from a local florist. Avas is not local and they only give a cut to the local florist. The local florist delivered 3 sad flowers to my mom for her birthday. They were dead and the florist refused to help and or send new flowers. It was a disaster.

This company needs to be shut down. I've never experienced such awful customer service as I have from Avas. Incident Date: 5.25.18. There was an issue with the bouquet that was picked and they couldn't meet their delivery commitment... We asked for a refund and said they would only give us a partial refund and not credit back the "service fee" - does that fly with me? Nope! You're not going to provide a full credit because of an error that you caused? SCAM ALERT! Mind you, the customer service rep was not listening, she was rude, wasn't willing to work with us, and when asked to speak with a manager - "A manager isn't here and they're going to tell you what I just said". OK. I've lost it by now.
So then it was agreed upon that flowers would be delivered on Tuesday...crickets...Tuesday passed and still no delivery. Wednesday is here and flowers were finally delivered. However, did they include the balloon that was paid for? Nope. Long story short. Don't waste your time or money on this place. There's way better places who actually guarantee their delivery with a higher standard of customer service. This place is a complete fraud and they don't care how much they've inconvenienced the customer.

Ordered two bouquets for gravestones on Memorial Day. One was substituted for their choice (not available they said), the second did not look anything like the photo online website bouquet. Oh well... They WERE delivered in timely fashion but I paid $20 extra for Express Delivery... Two Sympathy Banners I'd ordered for the bouquets were not included in the order, $20 total, so I thought I could just get that portion of the order refunded -- NOT!
Back and forth emails, them sending me "revised invoices" with "service fee" and them playing stupid that there were no banners ever ordered or charged when I HAVE the original invoice in hand showing that yes, they were ordered, and yes, they are still offered on the Avas website for $9.99 each! I could dispute with Visa but not worth my time... and from the looks of these reviews, others have drawn the same conclusion: BEWARE! Excellent web presence but other than that, they shouldn't be in business. Will never use again and NOT recommended!

We had placed an order on their website "Peace Lily Plant Option: PREMIUM - Large" invoice came to $80.31. We had a family friend pass away and we wanted something really special. When we had gotten to the funeral service and seen the plant that had been sent we were furious. The plant we had gotten was like a plant you can buy at Lowe's for $12.95. Buyer beware. They have no clue on what you are getting sent. Don't believe that you will be sending flowers how they look on their website. They are a third party just handling a transaction. They do not even see what you are getting. Buy from a local florist shop to the city you are wanting to send flowers. Not only will you save money but you can talk to them to make sure you are getting what you pay for.

Flowers were supposed to be delivered by 7pm on a Tuesday. They sent an email the night before changing delivery date to Wednesday afternoon. I contacted them to let them know the recipient would already be gone from the location and flowers needed to be delivered as promised. They would not change delivery date back to original or cancel order for me. I contacted them 3 times and they never called back. Horrible customer service.

I ordered roses for my girlfriend. The DEAD flowers arrived at her work. She felt bad because she knows they were expensive and the flowers were dead. I contacted Avas and they apologized and offered a coupon for 10 or 20% off my next order. Why would I think of a next order when the first order was crap!

Ordered flowers and what was delivered was incredibly poor compared to as advertised. Complained and expected an apology and credit, instead got a standard reply others state here - after 3 attempts of fobs offs and going to social media, they said would credit $10 and I refused saying full refund, to this they basically said good luck. Have a visa query in which will be upheld and refund and hopefully get them blacklisted from taking visa! And will be pushing this further on social media, abysmal firms and service like this should be put out of business for the disdain they have for clients.

Recently I was notified by an out of state family member, my mother had died. If you can imagine the emotions flying; followed by another call a few hours later --- the funeral was scheduled only 36 hrs later. I had to immediately make flight, rental car and hotel arrangements from California to Texas to arrive for her funeral. I also wanted to have a beautiful spray of flowers - her favorites, beside the casket in the church. When going online, it was difficult finding a florist that could deliver to a small town 34 miles away from the largest city. Avas Flowers assured me - they could deliver. Finally, a sense of relief and accomplishment - one thing off the to-do list. The woman taking the order had a foreign accent and language barrier. There was much frustration on my part - repeating, respelling, starting over, etc.
The flowers were to be delivered by 4pm the day before. The funeral was at 10am the next morning. Avas Flowers also had all my contact information for any questions or change in plans. Upon my arrival to the church, I didn't notice any flowers - the ones I'd ordered. I sat distracted by this absence; while grieving, crying and beside myself during the service. After the service, I conversed with the Funeral Director and reviewed all the cards for each flower delivery received. None. My mother's flowers were not delivered! Not the day before. No phone call by Avas Flowers or the delivery driver. Not the morning of the funeral. No phone call by Avas Flowers or delivery driver. If my emotions weren't already high; I went through many automated choices when calling Avas Flowers to what happened with their promise to deliver. I spent over an hour on the phone, being put on hold, transferred to someone else that could help me, hung up on and excuses.
After several attempts calling to complain, cancel and credit my card; I finally tried pressing the option for: New business/Orders. Wow! That personnel picked up the phone within seconds. Now, they showed interest in taking someone else's money. They answered the phone immediately and wanted to talk to an unsuspecting victim! They had no explanation for the flowers not being delivered. Maybe the driver was lost? They couldn't find the church? Why didn't Avas Flowers call me the day before the funeral and advise, there was a problem? Apparently this "family run" business doesn't have to offer customer service, common courtesy, follow up or professionalism. One gentleman finally agreed to send me an email confirmation for a refund. He didn't say "Your credit card has now been credited and you should be receiving reimbursement within 10-days." Tomato, tomatoe!
I didn't want his promise to email an empty word confirmation. We went rounds, until he finally uttered the words - he is refunding my money and crediting my credit card. I assured him, I'd be calling him after 10-days if there was no credit. How could a company lack such professionalism; especially when one is ordering Sympathy flowers for a funeral?!! I usually prefer to write praises and give kudos to businesses; celebrating their successes. Avas Flowers caused unnecessary stress, aggravation and failed me and my family! I hope they can find coaching and learning opportunities within their "family run" business; never causing grief to other customers. I will NEVER recommend or do business with Avas Flowers again.

This floral company states that they are a local florist. I am in PA & searched local florist in Columbia, SC. They came up & I was excited that they had same day delivery. My mom's birthday was 5/24 & most florist can do same day delivery. I was trying to surprise her as she was supposed to go out of town & was unable to go. So I ordered a LUXURY GRADE Dreaming of Tuscany bouquet to surprise her. We received flowers that were wilted; which you can't tell from photo; (my mom doesn't lie), missing flowers, & just not what I ordered. If I lived in SC I could have done a better arrangement myself with Sam's Club flowers.
AVAS FLOWERS IS A FRAUD!!! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY!!! I called to complain that they had to deliver on 5/25 & they didn't even send flowers first thing as the AVAS representative stated since they could not deliver on her birthday. I contacted AVAS and their customer service is horrible. They wanted to give me 15.00 for a plain bouquet arrangement that was supposed to be an 75-80.00 arrangement. My total came to 87.73 including a birthday card. BOO, BOO, BOO, **. HORRIBLE! Avas Flowers charged him for the cancellation even though they did not honor their agreement to deliver the flowers. On hold with customer service for 20 minutes and they told me, "Too bad."

Ordered flowers at Easter for a family member, and only an hour after placing my order, they called and said they would have to substitute other flowers for my arrangement. I insisted they use the flowers advertised on the website, and they informed me that the arrangement would then have to be delivered late. Their website offered free 1 day delivery, and the cost of my arrangement was $59.95. By the time I hung up with them, my arrangement came to $89.95, because they had to charge me for canceling the 1-day delivery. My family member never received the arrangement, and I ended up ordering another flower arrangement through a reputable florist the next time!

I ordered 2 dozen red poppies. I spoke with various people, over a 3 day period, while the people at Avas tried to find my poppies. On the third day, I was told they found them and they would have them delivered. Well, my arrangement cost $115 and not only were there NO poppies in it, there were Carnations. I have called three different times to remedy this, and the first two times, they told me they would redeliver poppies in exchange for the flowers that were sent by mistake.
Well, no new flowers ever arrived and the old ones died quickly. Now when I call, there is no one available to help with a refund and they are offering me 10% back for the mistake. I have contacted my credit card to reverse the charge...they never delivered what I ordered. I never signed any sort of contract that said they could use other flowers if they want...that's what they are telling me. I know I didn't sign it, because I always spoke to people on the phone...I did not do anything online. So, don't be had by this company!!!

At such a sad time, of losing a sister all you want to do is send beautiful fresh flowers to the funeral home. I kept asking when on the phone if they were local and the gal said yes they deliver from local florist. I should have known with that comment. 2 hours later a call comes in and it is a guy from "India". Letting me know they cant deliver fresh flowers but can deliver Silk. And says he has contacted every florist in Lewisburg Tn and there are no flowers. I immediately ask for a refund and I get arguing, I keep asking for a confirmation cancellation and am told they will charge me a processing fee. I am screaming by this point and still the guy is trying to sell me silks... I hang up call a local florist who within 5 mins takes my order and is delivering same day. DONT USE THIS FLORIST. On May 17, 2018, I placed an order online for some flowers. I specifically said they were to be delivered the next day. Within an hour of placing my order I received a phone call from the company that they were unable to fulfill my order and would be cancelling my order. (They could only deliver on Thursday and could not be delivered on Friday). I said that was fine and I would take my business elsewhere. I then placed an order with another company. Friday night at 6:15 I received confirmation that my order had been delivered. I immediately called the company to tell them there was a mistake. They were closed and I had to wait until Monday to discuss it with them. I called Monday morning, and was told too bad, the flowers were delivered I would have to pay for them, even though they said they had to cancel the order. Do NOT use this flower company!!!

Today was my 27th wedding anniversary. I ordered flowers for my wife and wanted them sent to her work location. As part of the order, I decided to pay extra for delivery so that the flowers would be delivered before 1:00 pm as advertised. The company sent me an e-mail where my order was confirmed and then a second e-mail with a tracking tab to see where my order was. I could not get that tab to work, so I called the company. I was assured that the flowers would be delivered to the business and I confirmed the business address with the agent.
My wife called me at 5:00 to tell me she was working late. I asked if she got the flowers. She had not received them. So another call to Avas where I was told that someone had changed the order and they were delivering to my home address. WTF? Well, it's 6:00 pm and I still don't have any flowers and have no way of getting in touch with the local delivery company. I can't wait to see how badly the flowers are going to look, if and when they finally get here, if ever. Well, guess what? The flowers arrived. They look pretty. Pretty freaking small for $80 bucks. I could have picked the same ** up at Kroger for $30 bucks. Here's a clue. NEVER USE THIS CRAPPY COMPANY, EVER. They completely suck.

They state on website that they work with local florists & that it is same day delivery. I expected next day delivery & local florist. They delivered 2 days late & flowers were dead. I paid 82.83 for this service. My Mother called & advised of dead flowers, they told her they replace next day delivery. Again a day late she is now not home for a week. I called & demanded a full refund. After 2 hours & lots of calls dropped, hung up on & transfers. I get a refund but not for the full amount. They keep 18.95 for service. I get to pay them for dead flowers & late (very late) deliveries. STAY AWAY from this company.

I am very disappointed in the order my mother in law received. We placed the order on a Tuesday requesting delivery for Saturday. Saturday rolls around and no flowers. I call on Monday and they say they couldn't make the delivery on that Saturday but they will deliver on Tuesday and upgrade for free for the inconvenience. Tuesday comes and the flowers get delivered, NO UPGRADE. I call Avas' customer service and they said sorry they couldn't do the upgrade. They give a 10 dollar refund. And the flower arrangement looked NOTHING like the picture.

I chose a bouquet of lavender roses with some other flowers mixed in with some greens, 3 Mylar balloons, and a large greeting card. The rep that took the order offered a discount on the balloons after I initially declined them. My mother received a bouquet of lavender DAISIES, no balloons, and no large greeting card. I called customer service and they insisted that when an order is placed that the designer has the option of choosing whatever flowers they want to. I advised them that then it makes no sense to have pictures of bouquets for customers to choose from and that their website and customer service should state that the designer can use whatever flowers they want to. I hate to have to point it out to them but there is a major difference between lavender roses and lavender Daisies. And again, the balloons and card were completely left off. I spoke with the actual florist who was very apologetic.

I ordered a hydrangea plant to be delivered to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I requested delivery for the day before. Not only did they NOT arrive on the day they were supposed to, but they also did not arrive the next day or the day after that. I contacted them each day and was given the runaround. On day three, I was told that they had contacted the designer and had to allow 24 hours for a response from the designer before they could issue a credit. I did not hear back from them after 24 hours, so I called them AGAIN and was told that they would issue a "store credit" for the refund. I told them I would NEVER do business with them again and demanded a refund to my card. This is the worst company I have ever done business with in my life!
