    This is a scam company. Ordered flowers on Thursday and received a callback on Saturday at 1:00 pm to tell us they wouldn't be able to make the order for a Sunday funeral. This is very upsetting because by Saturday, no other Company can make this happen for a Sunday service. What Company does this? Avas Flowers should. It be in service. So very disappointed.

    False Advertising at it's Finest. I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my friend's birthday. I paid 53.00 for this bouquet. Upon their review they said that it is up to standards and substituted flowers can be used. Of course it is according to them. Waste of money. Never again.

    After getting screwed by 1800flowers.com calling me the day of my mother's birthday to say they couldn't deliver my mother in-law's flowers at the agreed upon time, we spoke with Becky from Avas Flowers in Conway SC. We informed her of our issues, and she double checked with the driver to see if it was possible to deliver. She came back and said they could accommodate us. So we paid the $81 for the small arrangement. The next day, my mother in-law still had no flowers. So we called to express our disappointment. We spoke with the "manager" Allen, who attempted to skirt around a full refund for our dissatisfaction by offering store credit with a $20 bonus added to it.

    Then when we declined, became rude with us on the phone saying "he knew what he needed to do, and didn't need us to tell him what to do" based on the refund we wanted. I will NEVER use them again EVER... This was a first and only time experience with this company. This experience concluded with being informed that our refund may take up to 10 days!? We are VERY unsatisfied with the level of service with this company. If I were you, I would find another florist in that area.

    Horrific experience all the way around. Flowers ordered out of state. Do they think you won't know if they deliver poor quality. They are not local. They don't know? Looked like gas station bouquet. I get better from my local grocery shop for 10x less. Well Over $50. Wasted. The floral shop Lemon Tree didn't stand behind their product. I had to force Avas to stand behind their guarantee satisfaction delivery and reattempt. 2 days later a delivery was made and it was worse. Money wasted, zero refund and they said they won't do more.

    Their business practice their vendors are all horrible. Helen Keller could put together a bouquet better. The website showed beautiful full arrangements bursting with flowers and little green filler. Even the least expensive bouquet is pretty online. I received nothing of the sort. Not to mention it was not Lavender. I guess my friend can now take both poor cheap arrangements and put them into one vase to maybe get one big ugly bouquet. Stay away from Avas Flowers unless you want to get robbed.

    I placed an order on July 2, 2018 to be delivered on July 11, 2018, to a home in East Tawas Michigan. Plenty of time, no holidays or weekends, everything should have been good, right? WRONG! My order was over $100!! Right now it's noon on the 12th, the order still IS NOT delivered. I will NEVER order from this place again. This was a very important delivery.

    I ordered flowers to be delivered on 7/7 and it is 7/11 and they are still not there delivered. They said they didn't know when they would be delivered. They didn't offer to fix it at all. Do not use this company.

    I have never been so disappointed or so frustrated as I was in dealing with Avas Flowers’s. My daughter got engaged recently and she’s in a different state, so we wanted to send flowers to congratulate them. Being a retired florist myself, and raising both of my daughters at the flower shop, I understand how hectic things can get, and I am extremely familiar with floral lingo and types and quality of all flowers. So when I ordered a “premium” arrangement of bridal whites and light apple greens, and was looking at the picture on their website, I was actually thinking that’s what they were going to send. Sergio not only assured me it would look like that, but it would also be delivered that very same day. So imagine my surprise when I got a picture from my daughter of the arrangement that was actually sent, a day late I might add. Spray painted green carnations, white daisies, a couple roses and a lily? I was appalled.

    Not only did I spend a LOT of money, but the excitement and happiness of receiving flowers was lost because of the lack of quality, and tackiness of the design. Fast forward to the next day, called Avas to discuss the problem. We were basically told tough luck. The customer satisfaction and guarantee they have on their website meant nothing. I was offered a 10.00 coupon. So, if you want to make a really bad impression and send tacky, cheap, wilted flowers... go through Avas. You’ll definitely get that. If you want quality and fresh product, go DIRECTLY to the florist in the zip code you are sending to. Avas is ONLY an order gatherer... They are NOT THE FLORIST. And they will NOT take care of you or honor their word.

    I live in Florida. My grandfather's funeral is in Michigan... Ordered flower spray for my grandfathers funeral. Upgraded it to Premium package. Description states the flowers it consists of... Roses! and Lilies! Which were important. Made the arrangement look Amazing. Spent $197. The flowers arrive at the funeral home and it is nothing but mums/carnations and daisies. I am beside myself that I trusted a company other than the one I typically use to handle such an event. This is false advertising. They say their product is such (pictures attached) Yet it is a cheap rendition that does not even compare to what is advertised.

    Ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered the next day and paid a fee to have the flowers delivered by 1pm. A confirmation email was sent with all the details. When the flowers did not show up by 2:30pm I called the company who said the delivery date just got changed to the following day. They did refund $9.99 for the express delivery charge but offered no compensation or explanation for the lack of delivery on the confirmed day. Who knows if the flowers will ever show up and what they will look like. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Wish I had read all these reviews before ordering.

    I phoned in an order of flowers for my daughter-in-law's surgery to be delivered the next day. The person assured me that they would be beautiful and had a florist close by (this is a fairly large town in California) who could deliver them on time. Well, three days later -- nothing. Called and they said they couldn't deliver them as promised and would have to reroute to another delivery company for more money- which is a huge red flag. I cancelled my order and am contacting my credit card company and am wondering if all florists are now in the con artist business, because this has happened to me several times in the past year. Do NOT use this company!

    I’m really pissed off about this!!! The absolute worst customer service ever! I went to Avas Flowers’ website to order flowers to be delivered to my wife’s work for our 19th wedding anniversary. From the site, I picked out an arrangement of a dozen fresh cut roses to be delivered the next day, which was our anniversary. I went through all the prompts, but the site wouldn’t take the zip code. I didn’t understand why and after several attempts, I called customer service and the young lady I talked to ask me for a code at the bottom of the screen. I had to look hard for it because it was very small but I eventually found it. She began to go through my order and then added that if I want to have the flowers delivered at a certain time, it will be an expedited charge of $10. I said ok but then she told me that the arrangement I picked out was not available today and started to describe a substitute.

    First, I mentioned to her that the site said fresh cut roses next day. I don’t need them today. I need them for tomorrow. She continued on without acknowledging what I said and proceeded to substitute me with an arrangement that was twice the cost of what I originally picked out. I told her, "Never mind, just cancel my order." I said thank you and I hung up. Two minutes later, my cell phone rings. I check the number but I didn’t recognize it, so I ignored it. The same number calls me again, I answer it and it’s the same attendant from Avas Flowers I first talked to. She went on to say “we can get you this nice bouquet of a dozen roses. It will look really pretty, and this is the amount you will pay." That price was still higher than what I picked out but I went with it. The young lady went through the details of my order and I originally asked for the flowers to be delivered to my wife’s work between 12-1 pm before she leaves.

    The young lady said, “Oh, we can do it for you as early as 10 am.” I said “really, that’s even better! Can you please do that?” She says yes and continues to finish the order. She gets the description for the card, my email address for a confirmation, my credit card number, and she completes the order. She then tells me that I will get an email confirmation in the next few minutes. I said thank you and ended the call. A few minutes later, I received an email confirmation and it said deliver before 7 pm. I immediately called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I voiced my concern to the supervisor and told him what I had ordered. He puts me on hold because he said he had to speak to his designers and comes back to say the price I paid for my arrangement didn’t include an expedited fee of $15. Wait just a minute sir. The lady attendant said the expedited charge was $10. I got off the phone with her less than 10 minutes ago, now it’s $15?!?!

    I said “no sir. She called me twice to get me to purchase flowers from you and the price that she quoted me the second time was higher than what I originally picked out and I thought that price included the expedited charge.” The supervisor said it did not. I said “that’s ok. Just refund me my money and I’ll go somewhere else.” He said to "Hold for a minute sir and let me speak to my designer." He comes back and says that "We won’t charge you an expedited fee but is it ok if we can deliver to your wife around 12 pm?" I said that is fine. She will still be at work. We ended the call.

    Today is our anniversary day and my wife calls me a little before 12 pm to let me know that she got the flowers, to tell me thank you, and gave me the rundown about how she got them at work with all the nice comments. I said, "That’s great, I love you, and see you at home tonight." When I got home that evening, I walked into the kitchen and saw that arrangement on the table and I was shocked! I asked my wife “where are the rest of the roses?” She said “that’s what I got.” To my displeasure, they only sent her a half dozen roses!!! I am still really pissed and embarrassed over this!!! 19 years and my wife gets is a half dozen roses!! I never send my wife a half dozen roses on our anniversary!! They are not what I asked for. They are not what I paid for. Someone messed up.

    So the next day, I called and talk to attendant. I asked to speak to a supervisor but one wasn’t available, so I explained what happened with my order. This lady was very cold and dismissive and acted as if I was the one that did something wrong. So I asked for a refund. The lady attendant said, "We can’t do that. We can send out the rest of the roses to you tomorrow or have someone pick up the arrangement that you have at no cost to you." I told her yesterday was mine and my wife’s anniversary. Not today or tomorrow.

    After arguing on the phone with her for a few minutes, I said to her that since I got half of the arrangement, just refund me half of what I paid. She said, "We shouldn’t have to refund you for the delivery service because you got that service." "But according to your supervisor, I don’t pay an expedited charge. I just wanted half of what I was charge." She then said, "I can refund you for half of the bouquet" (but she said earlier that she couldn’t do a refund) but the refunded amount wasn’t half of what I paid. I said to her this is not half. She argued and said, "We don’t refund services. I’ll give you half for the bouquet, that’s all sir, ok. Have a great day" and hung up the phone.

    I read their policy and it states “Refunds or credits given for orders that have already been delivered or have had an attempted delivery will only be for the partial or full cost of the arrangement(s), less any service, handling, or restocking fees.” Your policy shouldn’t overshadow customer service!!! This company is horrible!! I will never buy anything from them again nor recommend them to anyone!!

    I wish I had read the reviews for this company before ordering from them. The flowers I ordered for my mother's birthday were never delivered; now I am in a labyrinthine process of trying to get a refund, which Avas Flowers is clearly going to make difficult or impossible. You'd think that a company that deals with sensitive moments in people's private lives, like deaths and birthdays, would have a little more integrity. Also, how can a company be a "local" company all over the entire country? I am astounded by the complete dishonesty, incompetence, and greed of this company. I guess there is some comfort in hoping that all of these bad reviews will catch up with them and they'll go out of business, leaving room for florists that are ACTUALLY locally-owned. (Lesson learned: always read online reviews first!)

    I ordered an arrangement. I was contacted the day of the delivery to change the delivery time. This so called local florist was NOT local. St Pete is a heck of a distance from Holmes Beach. Then when the new agreed upon delivery time came and past I called them. Someone had the BALLS to cancel the delivery without contacting me. I called in again and had to give them an alternate address for the delivery so now it's hopefully being delivered a day later. I will never use them again and I will leave a bad review for them every time I see an ad for them. ~ VERY DISGUSTED!!!

    Flowers ordered three days in advance. We could not be together on my wife's 50th birthday, so I ordered flowers to be delivered where she was staying. Nothing arrived ever, and they sent me confirmation that they had been delivered. Don't waste your time or money with this business. F rating with BBB...gee I wonder why.

    I had the same horrible experience as others. Ordered flowers three days in advance for a visitation that I wasn't able to attend, at a funeral home in another state. Got 'urgent message' from Avas to call the day of the visitation; they couldn't be delivered. I asked that they be delivered to the church the following morning for the second visitation and service. I was assured they'd be there. Then came another 'urgent message' the next day that I was to call again--of course, after the service was over. Yep, they weren't able to get them there on time, but they would deliver them to an alternate home address, or send a fruit basket instead. I said no... I wanted a full refund. I was offered less than half what I paid. I said no, that when I hung up I was contacting my credit card company... and that's what got me a full refund.

    Very frustrating to deal with customer service agents who were obviously in another country and difficult to communicate with... lots of background noise including music playing, people yelling back and forth, and someone singing. In the end, the situation was embarrassing when I had ordered the flowers on behalf of a number of family members, not to mention the fact that I wanted to pay respects to the family of the deceased individual. I did get an apology via email, and when I replied, I asked for the name of the local florist who was to deliver the flowers. (I suspected that an order had never been placed). In a reply, they refused to give me the name of the florist "for security reasons".

    Horrible experience. Charged me $18 to NOT get my flowers delivered to the funeral! Supervisor in customer service promised me it would be done... not to worry... told her I had to take my husband to Houston Medical Center today. Got home with urgent message wanting an "alternate address" because florist couldn't deliver to funeral home in time! Who wants a large funeral spray brought to their home after a funeral? I don't even know an alternate address anyway. Never use this company!!! Most of their customer service people barely speak English.

    You can't understand much of what they say. In addition, they claim they will send you an email of the invoice so any errors can be corrected, but I never received any invoice on either of the two sprays that ultimately were ordered! No invoice, but still charged a service fee of $18. No flowers for the funeral. No customer service. If you really want flowers and service, find a florist in that town and call them directly.

    My friend ordered an edible arrangement on June 12th for my birthday (June 13th) and was told it would be delivered. On June 13th he received three calls from this company, the first to say they could not deliver to my work address because of the work atmosphere??? He said ok, then send some roses; the second call was to say they did not have any roses to send and they would be getting a shipment of fruit in on June 13th and could make the original requested arrangement but it could not be delivered until June 14th, he said ok; then finally the third call said they could not make the requested arrangement but would send a nice arrangement.

    My friend was hot by this time. Well on June 14th I received a fruit and cheese box - when I say the box looked like a gift for your grandparents, it was not a gift you would give someone for their birthday... it was a couple of apples and oranges, crackers and spreadable cheese with a funky color ribbon. I was too hurt by the mess they sent. My friend called to complain and talked to three different people that could not speak or understand ENGLISH, after a couple of calls, he was refunded $19 back. This cost him $100, it looked like a $20 box.

    I am asking everyone that reads this review not to order from this company, they are taking advantage of consumers in their time of need. They are all about the MONEY!!! The government should CLOSE them down and make them refund the our money. We should start a class action lawsuit against them. They are violating some laws I know. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I WISH I COULD PLACE AN AD NEXT TO THEIR AD THAT READS... THROWING YOUR MONEY out of your window is so much better than using this company... Run fast!!!

    I cannot say enough about how horrible and unprofessional Avas Flowers is! I ordered a plant arrangement for Father's Day, received confirmation for delivery by 7pm, tracked it online as "scheduled for delivery, awaiting update from driver". It was not ever delivered, I called to resolve 4 times the following day, was told it was "on the truck for delivery", which also didn't happen, then was informed VIA EMAIL (after being told I would get a call back), it would be delivered the following day, with an upgraded arrangement which didn't solve anything because the gift was now 2 days late!

    After calling back for the 4th time and canceling the order, repeating the problem to different reps over and over again, I was put on hold, then back to the main menu, and they STILL had the audacity to charge me a "service" fee!! For WHAT service?? No delivery, run around and lying about delivery status, frustration and hours wasted trying to fix this issue is the only service I received from Avas! Do NOT even consider using this company!

    USE ANOTHER COMPANY. You will not be satisfied. I wanted to have next-day flowers delivered for my mom's 70th birthday. We spoke the day after and she mentioned the flowers never arrived. I was so upset I called Ava's flowers, spent almost 1 hr trying to get in touch with someone and finally was told the delivery attempt was at 7 am in the morning, no one had answered and they would then attempt delivery again on Monday, two days after the intended date. No note was left, no call was made to let me know this had occurred. My mom had no idea flowers were sent to her and the company had the nerve to tell me they were not delivering on Sunday even though it was Father's Day and they had Father's Day promotions all over their website. The manager I spoke with had no ability or authority to do anything about. I was heartbroken with this service. Will never use it again.

    Frankly, I think this place is a scam. You place an order that they don't deliver and don't call to tell you there a problem. When you call, they say they'll deliver but they can't deliver the same bouquet. Why not? Uh, they just can't, but they'll give you a bigger bouquet of the same quality and a 10% discount. The next delivery is the same size and looks like a bouquet you'd pick up at the supermarket for $12. Do they refund the money? No. They're willing to cancel the order and come and pick up the bouquet. How nice, taking the bouquet from the person who received it. You get a $12 bouquet for $50. And the person on the phone was nasty. Stay away.

    ZERO STARS! Wish I would have read the stars here first. TAKE HEED! Ordered flowers for my mother's 70th birthday - The flowers come the day later after her birthday??? Hey Happy Birthday - the day after? Here's your flowers & balloons for your birthday yesterday. NOT ACCEPTABLE! After calling their customer service department & 4 times being disconnected, this guy has the stones to tell me that the way they can make it right is to take 20% off the next order -despicable!

    I refuse to spend money with these guys after this experience. There will be no next order with them. This is actually the second time they messed up my order. This time it was my ill mother's 70th birthday that they've screwed. Unacceptable - Full refunds are in order & I want my money back plus some. Their customer service is a zero star - service - zero star - product zero star - Everything about them - zero star. This should be illegal. Sad Sad Sad!

    I ordered flowers with balloon bouquet for my mother in law. Charged $94 in total. The flowers delivered looked like $4 grocery bouquet and no balloons. I called 4-5 times and never got through to customer service. I sent no less than 10 emails and no response. I tried to leave an evaluation on their site but under to log in. Big scam company. I found all these true review sites after I ordered. The reviews on the site are not true.

    I placed an order online with Avas Flowers. The confirmation e-mail I received described what flowers were to be in the bouquet. My cousin sent me a picture of the arrangement she received and it does not look like what I ordered, nor did the size align with the amount I paid for it. After I complained to customer service both telephonically and by e-mail, I learned that Avas had actually outsourced my order to another local florist. Avas Flowers offered a $6 credit but would not do anything beyond that. They would not re-send a bouquet with the correct flowers. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Every time I called I was transferred to someone else; the same with e-mails. I dealt with 4-6 different people by phone and e-mail. It was a nightmare. I would not recommend this company whatsoever.

    Looked at other BAD reviews. Mine was the same. Not just a messed up order but I believe fraud was involved. I ordered a vase, dozen roses, teddy bear and a balloon. All overcharged items but was for a special occasion. My 92 year old Mom was in the hospital with heart failure and this would be her last order of flowers so I wanted it to be nice. Purchased choices and when I went to check out the company added an $18 charge for handling which I didn't see listed anywhere, and I don't like these kind of surprises, and I don't believe it is ethical.

    So I called the Co and they said they would waive the charge if I ordered through them on the phone. Which was a total lie as when I checked the order later they had deleted custom items I ordered to keep the price of $100, which as what I was quoted. Some mistakes made, not a big deal but altogether was a nightmare. I ordered a red vase which was shown, which was my Mom's favorite color, chose a white teddy bear and a get well balloon with a note. Received a clear cheap looking plastic vase, roses a little wilted, the teddy bear was brown and not the white as I ordered and there was NO balloon that I paid for. And lasted they addressed to card to Alan instead of Mary Ellen which was my Mom's name.

    I was in the hospital with her for five days, so called Avas Flowers as soon as I got home. Before calling them I checked the order, which I should have done before. The balloon was not shown on the order. I'm assuming this was done to keep $8 for their profit. They charged for an extra ribbon I didn't order? and lastly the $18 charge which was supposed to be waived was added into the total. I WAS FURIOUS. You won't believe this but I was on the phone for only 5 minutes. They didn't want to talk to me, was rude, said it was past the time for a complaint and his supervisor would say the same, when I requested to talk to him.

    With all the mistakes above, being an ethical person, I would have paid $50 which was the discounted price for the rose alone. I told them I was going to dispute the charge, they said they didn't care, so that's what I've done. Very unprofessional experience, poor quality product, poor customer service and fraudulent charges added to order. There are plenty of other flower companies to buy from online. Sad and disappointed. :(

    I ordered the deluxe bouquet called 'Birthday Charm'. The delivery was NOT same day as advertised, and was finally delivered at 6:30 pm at the end of the next day. It appears that they did not have the correct flowers, and gave me an arrangement of only purple and yellow daisies with a weird peach colored old rosebud in the middle (roses are not even supposed to be in this bouquet!). They lied and said they were having trouble with their truck - but it was obvious they did not have the correct flowers on hand. Also, I requested a lavender ribbon, and was given a lime green one. The grand total was $78.00 and I could have purchased a better bouquet myself in my local grocery store and hand delivered them myself. I was so shocked to see this bouquet, and felt so ripped off! Never again!

    To be honest this was the first time I have ever ordered flowers and have them delivered to someone. I have heard from a couple of my coworkers that doing this for someone was a good idea and they were happy with the service. I am not sure what company they used and I assumed all flower companies that offered this same day delivery were all good but I was wrong with you guys Avas Flowers. The day I ordered flowers from you guys was over the phone and I made sure I told the guy I spoke to various times that I wanted the flowers delivered to my daughter who had turned 16 to PLEASE have them there delivered before she got out at 4pm.

    I know I placed the order in the morning to allow you guys to have time to deliver. I had to call you guys to check on the order almost at 3 pm to see what the status was and the guy said that they hadn’t delivered them yet. The whole idea was for my daughter to have her flowers and balloons with her all day. When I told this to the guy he simply replied they will be there before 4 pm and he asked me if I wanted him to call the flower shop and I told him to give me the number and I would call them myself and he said he couldn’t do that. I even offered to pick them up myself and deliver them so my daughter could have them before school ended and he kept repeating that she will get them before 4 pm. She received Old Flowers that seemed to be at the flower shop for days and balloons that were halfway inflated and one of them had a piece of tape to make it look that was fully inflated.

    My experience with you guys was a little bit sour with your services. There’s a small flower shop close to my work that my boss recommended me to, and I love their service. I have bought flowers for my wife and they are always fresh and inexpensive like you guys and I REGRET not using them for this occasion. I really wanted to give you guys a chance because it was same day delivery and I didn’t have time to go to the other flower shop I always use because I couldn’t get out of work that day. The flower shop is called SERENDIPITY FLOWERS here in Santa Ana CA. I will make sure to always use them for my flower needs. You guys wanted my opinion and keep sending me surveys so there you have it.

    I wanted to do a good deed and send my mom some flowers. I used the company and selected to have the arrangement delivered the same day. I received an email at 8:50am that my mom's flowers would be delivered at 4pm or before. This did not happen. When I contacted customer service and asked to be compensated for it not being the same day delivery, I was told "we dont guarantee same day".

    The representatives were rude and I was told "I ain't got no supervisor" when I had to beg to speak to one to get my money back. I was refunded for the flowers but not for the service fee. The internal email response was garbage as well. I'm disgusted and I'd rather pick flowers and arrange them myself versus have that company do anything else for me. Garbage garbage garbage and now I'm having to fight for my 18 + service fee to be refunded...save yourself the trouble!!! Find another florist. They are not even accredited. I should have done my homework on them. Save yourselves.

    I ordered flowers online for my wife who was in Seattle having medical treatments. I paid a total of $69+ dollars. The flowers arrived with a sympathy card - really. They were nothing like pictured. They were small and not properly arranged. My wife studied floral arranging in college. The arrangement was very small and crowded and not attractive at all. There were 3 roses, 4 carnations and 3 snapdragons. I paid $69 for this. When I reached out to customer services I was told to send a picture which I did. They said there was nothing wrong with the flowers. Well I have used Avas for years and will not be using them again. Horrible customer services, horrible product. A real ripoff. The entire arrangement is about 10.5" tall. My wife bought $12 worth of flowers and made three beautiful arrangements for herself for various rooms in the house. All were way more beautiful than the one I sent for $69+.

    I too wish that I had checked this company out a little better. I ordered flowers on Friday around 11:30 for my parent's anniversary (a surprise), for delivery that day. Received a call within an hour from Avas Flowers saying that they could not deliver them that day, but could deliver them the next day with a free upgrade on the bouquet. I reluctantly agreed. Today is Monday and no flower were delivered. Called to check on the status and the recording said they were scheduled to be delivered tomorrow! Tuesday! Definitely not acceptable!!! Called and spoke with a foreign guy who put me on hold for a while and came back and said that "they had unfortunately dropped the ball" with my order. I requested a refund, and was told that the order had already been sent to UPS. Gave me a refund of $6.79 on a $50 order and some kind of "points" towards future purchases. So it is yet to be seen if my mother gets her flowers or not.

I called the company at 1 PM and got a runaround for 30 minutes until a person finally answered and said, “Let me check on that.” He was gone 15 minutes and came back on the line and said he no contact but he was "pretty" sure the flowers were on the truck for delivery. I told him that I had paid extra for expedited delivery and he said it was hard for them to guarantee a delivery time. I said that's why I paid the expedited fee.     I attempted to order flowers for same-day delivery for a friend who had surgery. Unfortunately, I ordered these flowers in confidence thinking that they would be delivered same day as promised in my order. I received a call, reporting that they were unable to fulfill this order. Instead of providing me with a viable option to have flowers to deliver that day. They were insistent on referring me to another florist for an significant additional upcharge charge to have these flowers delivered on a different day. They refused to provide me with a refund that I requested because they were unable to fill my order as promised. The customer service extremely poor, the representative I spoke with on the phone was insistent on delivering the flowers the next week (mind you I ordered and paid for same day delivery), however would still need to charge more?

    I have used several flower companies in the past without difficulty. This has by far been my worst experience. Would most definitely not recommend this company to anyone.     Oh how I wished I would have read the reviews on this company before I ordered from them!! Please know the 1 star reviews (I wish I could give them ZERO stars) are right. They do not deliver, they billed my credit card for double orders and will not refund. The customer service is a JOKE. I do not know how they stay in business!!!     Ordered and had delivered for Mother's Day a WGP 1348 Rosemary tree (5/12) which was delivered perfectly as expected. Within 3 weeks, the tree developed a white substance or fungus and the plant died. Assuming Avas would want to keep me as a customer, I call customer service on 5/30 to request a replacement due to the diseased plant and was told by Albert (a customer service "manager") that he would investigate and call me back to see what could be done. He did not call back so I called again on 5/31 and spoke to Oscar (another c.s. "manager") who told me because their policy was honoring only complaints made within 24 - 48 hours, that the best they could do was a credit of $15. (Price of this tree is $57.)

    Told Oscar that I have a pic of the fungus on the plant and could send it...asked to speak to his boss and suddenly no other "manager" was available. So, ended the conversation telling him I was pulling my account with them, would do no further business with them, and would share my dissatisfaction with any customers I could tell. Do not understand why they do not stand behind the quality of their products especially farm grown plants. They have lost all my business now. Their customer service sucks as it is designed to make it difficult to navigate their structure to get satisfaction and gives no means of writing reviews on their website.

    This company needs to be shut down. I've never experienced such awful customer service as I have from Avas. Incident Date: 5.25.18. There was an issue with the bouquet that was picked and they couldn't meet their delivery commitment... We asked for a refund and said they would only give us a partial refund and not credit back the "service fee" - does that fly with me? Nope! You're not going to provide a full credit because of an error that you caused? SCAM ALERT! Mind you, the customer service rep was not listening, she was rude, wasn't willing to work with us, and when asked to speak with a manager - "A manager isn't here and they're going to tell you what I just said". OK. I've lost it by now.

    So then it was agreed upon that flowers would be delivered on Tuesday...crickets...Tuesday passed and still no delivery. Wednesday is here and flowers were finally delivered. However, did they include the balloon that was paid for? Nope. Long story short. Don't waste your time or money on this place. There's way better places who actually guarantee their delivery with a higher standard of customer service. This place is a complete fraud and they don't care how much they've inconvenienced the customer.

    Ordered two bouquets for gravestones on Memorial Day. One was substituted for their choice (not available they said), the second did not look anything like the photo online website bouquet. Oh well... They WERE delivered in timely fashion but I paid $20 extra for Express Delivery... Two Sympathy Banners I'd ordered for the bouquets were not included in the order, $20 total, so I thought I could just get that portion of the order refunded -- NOT!

    Back and forth emails, them sending me "revised invoices" with "service fee" and them playing stupid that there were no banners ever ordered or charged when I HAVE the original invoice in hand showing that yes, they were ordered, and yes, they are still offered on the Avas website for $9.99 each! I could dispute with Visa but not worth my time... and from the looks of these reviews, others have drawn the same conclusion: BEWARE! When we had gotten to the funeral service and seen the plant that had been sent we were furious. The plant we had gotten was like a plant you can buy at Lowe's for $12.95. Buyer beware. They have no clue on what you are getting sent. Don't believe that you will be sending flowers how they look on their website. They are a third party just handling a transaction.     Recently I was notified by an out of state family member, my mother had died. If you can imagine the emotions flying; followed by another call a few hours later --- the funeral was scheduled only 36 hrs later. I had to immediately make flight, rental car and hotel arrangements from California to Texas to arrive for her funeral. I also wanted to have a beautiful spray of flowers - her favorites, beside the casket in the church. When going online, it was difficult finding a florist that could deliver to a small town 34 miles away from the largest city. Avas Flowers assured me - they could deliver. Finally, a sense of relief and accomplishment - one thing off the to-do list. The woman taking the order had a foreign accent and language barrier. There was much frustration on my part - repeating, respelling, starting over, etc.

    The flowers were to be delivered by 4pm the day before. The funeral was at 10am the next morning. Avas Flowers also had all my contact information for any questions or change in plans. Upon my arrival to the church, I didn't notice any flowers - the ones I'd ordered. I sat distracted by this absence; while grieving, crying and beside myself during the service. After the service, I conversed with the Funeral Director and reviewed all the cards for each flower delivery received. None. My mother's flowers were not delivered! Not the day before. No phone call by Avas Flowers or the delivery driver. Not the morning of the funeral. No phone call by Avas Flowers or delivery driver. If my emotions weren't already high; I went through many automated choices when calling Avas Flowers to what happened with their promise to deliver. I spent over an hour on the phone, being put on hold, transferred to someone else that could help me, hung up on and excuses.

    After several attempts calling to complain, cancel and credit my card; I finally tried pressing the option for: New business/Orders. Wow! That personnel picked up the phone within seconds. Now, they showed interest in taking someone else's money. They answered the phone immediately and wanted to talk to an unsuspecting victim! They had no explanation for the flowers not being delivered. Maybe the driver was lost? They couldn't find the church? Why didn't Avas Flowers call me the day before the funeral and advise, there was a problem? Apparently this "family run" business doesn't have to offer customer service, common courtesy, follow up or professionalism. One gentleman finally agreed to send me an email confirmation for a refund. He didn't say "Your credit card has now been credited and you should be receiving reimbursement within 10-days." Tomato, tomatoe!

    I didn't want his promise to email an empty word confirmation. We went rounds, until he finally uttered the words - he is refunding my money and crediting my credit card. I assured him, I'd be calling him after 10-days if there was no credit. How could a company lack such professionalism; especially when one is ordering Sympathy flowers for a funeral?!! I usually prefer to write praises and give kudos to businesses; celebrating their successes. Avas Flowers caused unnecessary stress, aggravation and failed me and my family! I hope they can find coaching and learning opportunities within their "family run" business; never causing grief to other customers. I will NEVER recommend or do business with Avas Flowers again.

    This floral company states that they are a local florist. I am in PA & searched local florist in Columbia, SC. They came up & I was excited that they had same day delivery. My mom's birthday was 5/24 & most florist can do same day delivery. I was trying to surprise her as she was supposed to go out of town & was unable to go.     I ordered 2 dozen red poppies. I spoke with various people, over a 3 day period, while the people at Avas tried to find my poppies. On the third day, I was told they found them and they would have them delivered. Well, my arrangement cost $115 and not only were there NO poppies in it, there were Carnations. I have called three different times to remedy this, and the first two times, they told me they would redeliver poppies in exchange for the flowers that were sent by mistake.

    Well, no new flowers ever arrived and the old ones died quickly. Now when I call, there is no one available to help with a refund and they are offering me 10% back for the mistake. I have contacted my credit card to reverse the charge...they never delivered what I ordered. I never signed any sort of contract that said they could use other flowers if they want...that's what they are telling me. I know I didn't sign it, because I always spoke to people on the phone...I did not do anything online. So, don't be had by this company!!!

As part of the order, I decided to pay extra for delivery so that the flowers would be delivered before 1:00 pm as advertised.     I chose a bouquet of lavender roses with some other flowers mixed in with some greens, 3 Mylar balloons, and a large greeting card. The rep that took the order offered a discount on the balloons after I initially declined them. My mother received a bouquet of lavender DAISIES, no balloons, and no large greeting card. I called customer service and they insisted that when an order is placed that the designer has the option of choosing whatever flowers they want to. I advised them that then it makes no sense to have pictures of bouquets for customers to choose from and that their website and customer service should state that the designer can use whatever flowers they want to. I hate to have to point it out to them but there is a major difference between lavender roses and lavender Daisies. And again, the balloons and card were completely left off.     My husband ordered red roses from this company, for my birthday. They attempted delivery on May 3rd and we were not at home. We did receive a phone call from them but telling my husband that they could only deliver 8 roses and not 12. My husband paid $81 dollars for 12 roses. My husband was upset and hung up on them. After that we had no more attempted deliveries or offers to send our money back. This morning I called them and explained what happened. I asked them to please cancel the order and refund our money, which I was told they could only refund part of it back to us. I asked why only part of our money and he said something like, "a service fee of $18" was being kept by them.     I do not plan ahead well but I knew that since Mother's Day is a big flower holiday, I ordered two weeks ahead. I spoke to a woman on the phone to place the order because I wanted something specific and it was very pleasant. Before I went to bed, I checked my email and saw an email from Avas, which I expected to be my confirmation. Nope! It was an email I received within an hour of the order being placed that my order had been "upgraded!" to 24 assorted roses that would be delivered two days from my order date on 4/28.

    I ordered 14 tulips in varied colors to be delivered on Mother's Day 5/13! Avas had the gall to email me this notification with the disclosure that if they didn't hear from me in enough time, the order would proceed with the changes as if this radical shift from my actual order was minor enough to not need my overt approval. I emailed them back and never heard back. 4/28 came and went so I figured things were corrected. I call my mom on Mother's Day and ask her if anything arrived and she no they hadn't. I also told my sister to be on the lookout for flowers so someone was definitely watching for a delivery.

    I just got in touch with Avas and noticed in their contact section I can check delivery status. My order placed on 4/26 to be delivered on 5/13 had "no information for this order" and it said the projected delivery date was 5/10. I hadn't remotely heard 5/10 mentioned ever in my few interactions! I was also able to have my invoice resent to me, which is great because I never got one, and it stayed true that my mother was to receive 24 assorted roses on this new date of 5/10 with a new price to boot! My invoice said that I had been charged $20 OVER my initial flower charge.

    So not only did Avas not get the flowers right, they didn't get the delivery day right, and they didn't even complete the incorrect delivery! Literally, these two tasks are the entirety of services the company is said to provide: procure and deliver flowers. I called and was issued a refund with no explanation, which I still want to know went so colossally wrong. Customer service rep was nice although he hung up on me (hopefully) accidentally after I asked if my refund was for the original charge or the $20 fee on the invoice. I checked my credit card it looks like the invoice fee was reflecting my "upgrade!" because I was only ever charged my original cost. Summary: Avas Flowers offers the service to procure and deliver flowers. They got both of those tasks wrong in spectacular ways.

    I ordered a deluxe arrangement on Thursday morning 6am online... came to be $70 although I had a promo code. They slide in an almost $20 handling fee. They offer SAME day delivery.     I choose Avas Flowers because I needed some funeral flowers delivered on behalf of our company asap. Time was of the essence so I searched the internet for a local florist in the city of the funeral to ensure a timely delivery. When I did a search Avas Flowers - "local deliveries in (city/state) the same day!" came up. So I called and asked if they could meet my timeline, and they say 'yes'. A big sigh of relief as I thought I was set, until the voice mail came in an hour after the funeral started. "We couldn't deliver your flowers because the services had already started. Do you have another address that we could deliver to?" I was sooo disappointed and upset.

    I choose them because they were local and could get it done! Long story short, they are a middle man that works from phone and internet; they are located in another state half way across the country. They made a promise they could not keep, and the only one who ended up looking bad is my company, who did NOT have any flowers at this funeral. I can only imagine how our employee felt. Avas gave me a $10 discount on the order, which I thought was a slap in the face, but at the point I was not going to deal with them anymore so I accepted it and will NEVER use Avas Flowers again.     On 5/11/18 I ordered and paid $130 dollars of a pot of double stem orchids as Mother's Day present with same day delivery. Then on the order confirmation page it states "they will try but no guarantee". Yet on their delivery policy it states, "the cutoff for same day delivery is for orders received by 2pm". My order was place way before the cutoff time. An email followed later stating the item I ordered is no longer available and that they will substitute and upgraded to "The Best Arrangement Available" at no extra charge and be delivered on Tuesday, 5/15. Immediately I called to question the delivery date because it is already after the intended occasion. And will cancel because it will not serve the purpose anymore. I was told I cannot cancel the order.

    When I asked for the Supervisor or Manager I got the runaround, "I have not seen him for a while", "he is busy", etc. What company is this that will hold customers hostage of their right to cancel or not? Needless to say it was not delivered on the same day or the next day. Made another call the next day, 5/12/18. Was put on hold and after 28 minutes I hang up. Called again (waited shorter this time) and finally was told that if I cancel I will only get a portion of my money because they have to charge "handling fee", etc. I get it, I have to pay them for handling my own money! And so I finally cancelled the order and they got a portion of my money for doing nothing. A very quick and easy way to make money. AVAS Flowers is a very dishonest, unscrupulous business in my opinion. I hope this review is helpful to consumers and customers out there. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY.

    At the onset of my purchase I had attempted to execute my order on the company's website (Avas Flowers). During my online experience, I attempted to enter a 10 percent discount coupon being advertised. I attempted numerous times to apply the coupon but the site would not allow me to do so. I then called the company's published telephone number to place my order with a company representative.

    After being placed on hold for a long period of time (approx 5 min) a foreign answering service answered my call. The agent indicated that she was not able to extend me the advertised 10 percent discount. I asked to speak to a manager. After again being placed on hold for a few minutes a customer service manager was able to extend me the 10 percent discount and enter my floral arrangement order with a promised delivery date of Saturday, May 12, 2018. I was provided with an order confirmation number and an email confirmation number depicting same.

    My order was not delivered on Sat, May 12th as promised. Today I have attempted to obtain status on numerous times and have not been able to obtain any guidance via telephone or on the company's website. The call center directed me to call a "Customer Center toll free number" where I was constantly directed to extensions where the phone would ring indefinitely without anyone answering. I have sent an email to the company's published service email address indicating the cancellation of my order. I have also contacted my CC company alerting them of the situation and cancellation of my purchase. Bottom line, I would never do business with this extremely poor run organization.

    HORRIBLE! This place seems more like a scam than anything. They changed both my orders saying the original items were unavailable. One was to be delivered five days after the requested delivery date. They both were changed from florist-delivered arrangements to being shipped by UPS. I paid extra for a mylar balloon and colored vase, and neither were delivered yet my card was still charged for both. They claimed this was an "upgrade" due to unavailability but when the arrangement arrived it looked sad and pathetic. Not even close to what I ordered.

    Despite the other order not yet having been shipped, they told me there was nothing they could do to cancel it and the only thing they could do was offer an apology to the recipient accepting responsibility for the error. Forced to pay for something I did not want. Horrible company. They also falsely claim to have good reviews from other websites, showing false Google/Yelp/Bing ratings on their website but that is simply not true.     "Sorry we dropped the ball" was the comment I received from the supervisor when I found out my order was not received. I normally don't write reviews but I am so upset right now. I ordered flowers for my daughter's graduation. We live in California and she goes to school in New York. I contacted Avas Flowers via their on-line service and placed an order for delivery that day. This was on a Thursday. I requested an email confirmation as well as text message. While speaking to my daughter that night, I asked about the flowers, they were never received. Friday morning our time 5:00 am I entered my order #, no information could be given. I started calling and emailing every avenue available. Customer service would only allow callbacks windows, order lines would only put you on hold and transfer. Emails required 5 day callback.

    I decided to contact another florist and they immediately sent the flowers out. Two hours after my inquiry, I received a call from one of their "supervisors", who informed me that they dropped the ball and could still send the flowers today. I said I contacted another florist and wanted a refund. They said I could have store credit of the full amount OR THEY WOULD KEEP THE SERVICE CHARGE OF $20.00. I couldn't believe it since they took full responsibility on "DROPPING THE BALL." He said that was the policy. I argued that the order was never placed, never made, never even placed on a truck. How could they charge me for something they never did. There was no service involved at all. I took the partial refund and will call my CC today and dispute the full amount. I spent $117.00 for a floor plant, a business gift for a restaurant's grand opening, that was suppose to be 4' high and when I saw it, it looked terrible and was only 2' at most and was not a floor plant. I was told that they would call me back to resolve this problem, but I never received a call and after many calls they said that they could not exchange it and only offered me a 10% discount which I told them to keep because I would never order from them again. Called their barely ENGLISH SPEAKING call center and they said no problem and confirmed it would be delivered Friday afternoon. I called them back again that evening and they still told me it would be delivered. Started getting text and phone calls saying it would be there on Saturday morning since the funeral was at 10:30 am. They called and said it could not be delivered because OUT OF FLOWERS???? What kind of florist place runs out of flowers.

They probably picked them up in a 1/2 price bin at the local grocery store. Cannot get a hold of any customer complaint person so will file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office. NEVER, NEVER order anything from them unless you have time for a good joke as a flower business.

    Ordered flowers 1 day ago for co-worker family funeral. Placed order over phone, not realizing it was not local... totally a "moment" for me! At time of placing order which was 1pm-1:30 local time. I asked if flowers could be sent to funeral home that day, and unknowledgeable gentleman said yes. Think situation is handled. WRONG. Said they had special permission from florist to get flowers to a 2:00 funeral by 2! Then 35 minutes later received call stating that church would not accept flowers any longer!!!

    They would refund my money. I looked at statement and my account was refunded minus 18.95. Naturally, I called immediately for my 4th call in a matter of 4 hours. I was put on hold, but instead connected to another customer who was calling about flowers she ordered to be delivered, were received on time but not what she ordered! When I started talking to that customer we were immediately disconnected altogether. Called back and Received refund of the 18.95 with only excuse of, "We have new employees." Never, ever again!

I ordered online around 12:00, and received an order confirmation, and later a delivery scheduled email. But about 5 hours later I received numerous texts, calls and emails telling me to call them.     This is the second and last time I have an issue with this company! I used the same day delivery for a birthday. When I checked out it said it may not be same day delivery. I emailed to verify that it would be same day shipping and they told me no, I asked for a refund so I could order from a place to make sure it would be that day. I was told I would not get a full refund that I should have read the disclosure at the bottom of the page, asked why would I when it says in big letters same day, didn’t think I would have to.

    Now I don’t know when they will be delivered, told them to deliver whenever they felt like it because they would not give my money back! The order for my grandmother I did before this one never even got shipped.     I placed an order two days in advance for a funeral service and specifically asked if a delivery would make it by a certain time. I stated how important it was and if they were unable to make that commitment I would use another company. I was promised and reassured they would make it. The service was at noon and the flowers were delivered at 4 pm, they did not make it in time for the service.     The worst flower shop ever. They ruined wife's 50th birthday. I placed an order over the phone for a same day delivery. Didn't happen.     As other reviewers have stated, same day delivery may not actually be same day. Order placed at 12:15 pm. The cut off time is 2 pm, per their own website, and same-day delivery options are listed on that site only when same day delivery is available. A same day items was chosen and ordered. At 1:48 pm I received a call stating they would not deliver it that day but could do the next day. I didn't need it the next day. Refund options were store credit (would never use) or refund to credit card minus a $15 service fee (for a service never provided). They have a F rating with the BBB and have disabled reviews on their Facebook page.

    I ordered a specific floral arrangement and stuff animal. The arrangement they delivered was not the one I ordered, it had very few flowers and completely different from the ones in the arrangement I wanted. The delivered arrangement was not even arranged nicely. It looked like the flowers were just thrown into the glass vase.

    I made several attempts to contact the company by email and no one replied. I called, they asked for a picture to be emailed, I did that. No reply. Had to call back again. The person I spoke to could see the photo of the wrong arrangement that was delivered. She said they would send out the correct arrangement the next day. That did not happen. When I asked about the 24.99 service/handling fee (because the delivery was free!) she said it was for care... She told me I would get an email confirming a credit for that amount... never happened. I called again to find out they gave me a 9.99 credit! When I questioned why I didnt get the entire $24.99 she said the best she could do is another 10.00.

    As for the second delivery... it was suppose to go out the next day... so now it is two days after my call not the next day. As of this moment I have no idea if the flowers will be delivered or if they will be delivered as ordered or if I will get my second 10.00 refund. I will NEVER used Avas again, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. Complete disregard for any level of customer service!!!

    Do not utilize this company for your floral services needs! Needed same day/next day delivery for flowers. Said same day/next day delivery on website but then did not allow same day as option in processing the order so I input next day of 4/21 to place order. Offers for 50% off appeared on every screen. After completing the order input, I then find on the final summary 1) that I'm being given "50% off" a ridiculously inflated base price for a simple order 2) that I'm being charged an additional $2.99 for a one line message in the delivery and 3) that I'm getting "free delivery" but I'm being charged an additional $25 for handling fees. No time to shop around so I placed order and was done with it.

    Next day, I receive an email telling me the order is not being delivered until 3 days AFTER the scheduled delivery date. I call customer service to cancel order and am immediately disconnected. Call back and get a representative who tells me that they cannot cancel the order because it was placed same day/next day. I said "but you're telling me you're not delivering it same day/next day which is what I paid for so what sense does that make?" Alluded to possibly adjusting my order total but ultimately refused to cancel order which under the circumstances, is now worthless to me. After making it clear I was not going to accept being charged for an order which they would not fulfill within the represented timeframe, they hung up on me!     A cross and heart pillows were ordered for my great niece’s funeral and they were never delivered. I called the next morning and many times since the incident and I’ve gotten a complete runaround. The funeral director said the flower pillows never arrived and that this has happened before because of confusion with two funeral homes in close proximity to one another. The funeral director even told me that if Avas said the flowers were left in the flower room, that meant they were delivered to the wrong funeral.

    Sure enough that is exactly what Avas said. Avas would not refund my money, offered no sort of replacement because they said the flowers were delivered. Every time I asked Avas to get the local delivery person on a 3 way call, they refused. Avas is a complete ripoff. Do not buy from them.     Very unhappy with your service overall. Called 3 times to get an update on delivery and every person I spoke with in regards to this could only tell me that they couldn't communicate with the driver and that they would call me as soon as the driver called them back. First call was at 12 pm, called back at 2 pm and said they would call me in 30 mins, 2:45 pm and I had to call to see what was the holdup, spoke to the manager and he was useless, no help at all. Told me the exact same thing as everyone else, after speaking to him on the phone for over 20 mins he was finally able to communicate with the driver and said the driver was barely on his way and would take 30 mins, the person who was supposed to receive the arrangement had already left so that beats it.

    I ordered flowers that amounted to approximately $50 and they added a further about $25 for delivery and handling, this is fair... Their site and on these arrangements clearly said SAME DAY DELIVERY. It calculated the total and I made the payment. Later I got an email saying they tried contacting me, strange, I didn't have a missed call, anyway I called them back, and eventually spoke to a live person who put me through to another person, this individual told me because the florist is a distance away I need to pay a further $10 for the same day delivery. I was not happy as their site should have been correct or they should carry the cost of the $10.

    I reluctantly paid the $10 and asked the owner to call me which didn't happen. Later I noticed it was not delivered and had a note, to be delivered the next day. TOO LATE as I told the lady, and which is why I reluctantly paid the additional $10. I then told them to refund me immediately or I'd dispute the charge on my credit card, they did call later and claimed to refund, although looking at my bank it now looks like a zero refund was posted. TO BE HONEST, find a better place to deal with and deliver your flowers at the agreed price... (I don't normally rate anyone poorly, but this was seriously not good service.)

I called them and emailed them photos of the dead wilted flowers. They did nothing. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they said my son was refunded. He wasn't. Then they said they didn't feel the flowers were that bad. NEVER use these people. The flowers are bad and their customer service is worse. They have a F rating at the BBB.     I placed a order (Peachy Keen Floral Arrangement) with Avas Flowers on 4/4/18 and they were delivered to my family member the very next day as they were supposed to be. When my family posted a picture of the floral arrangement on social media I noticed that the flowers were not the ones that I purchased. Avas have a policy where they are supposed to contact you if they do not have what you ordered which never happened. I called after their 24 hour time limit policy so they told me that the only thing they could do was give me 10% back off of my subtotal which was $5.19. My total purchase was almost $80. I was told that after they contacted their subcontractor they would give me a call back in 24 hrs which never happened and even after I gave them 48 hrs still no call... When I expressed how embarrassed I was, the service department said they’d exchange the old for a new bouquet but never showed up using an excuse that no one was home or they couldn’t find the delivery address which was bull because this aunt was on the lookout for them.     My husband ordered me a flower arrangement that cost him $130. It was to be delivered to my job at La Jolla on our special day, Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, the flowers never arrived. He called AVAS Florist several times that afternoon when he found out I didn't get flowers. It was impossible to get a live person on the phone, they only answer when you are placing an order to take your money, but after you placed the order, they transferred you to a machine.     I purchased flowers on a Thursday to be delivered next day, Friday and paid for priority delivery before 1:00pm. Avas Flowers never delivered flowers, because local contracted floral site via Avas Flowers did not have the arrangement listed on Avas Flowers' website. I agreed to have the flowers delivered the next day, Saturday prior to 3:00, flowers not delivered again, call Avas and got the runaround. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY FLOWERS FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!

    When flowers finally arrived on Saturday after 5:00 pm, it looked nothing like what was posted on site, I paid for the luxury grade, two balloons and a card. When I called to cancel the order prior to the delivery, they informed me that they could not do this and basically didn't offer any kind of refund.     I was just sending flowers to a person who had lost their son. I saw some beautiful spring flower and noticed several things - NO DELIVERY FEE blinking in the background - Another area on top said - put in this code — ** — for 42% off. I thought, well, that’s nice - kind of different and unbelievable but I can send a bigger, nicer bouquet with those 2 discounts. So, I merrily went through the process and found the most gorgeous flowers - filled out all the info, the recipient, my info and the handwritten card, then all my credit card info. I put in the code... And it comes up with an amount almost as much as the flowers says ‘delivery and other services’ - it basically doubled the amount of the flowers.

    But, I was tired and didn’t want to go back through it all again so went to push COMPLETE ORDER but then another little box popped up before you could complete your order which was I agree with terms of service. Once you check THAT box then you can COMPLETE ORDER... Drum roll... Guess what??? Another big box opens and says that you can’t send those flowers to that area. (Going to Boston - not a small place to find!) It say to push another box to find different flowers!!! I push that box - nothing happens - no flowers - nothing. I go back to the beginning and look for a phone number - nothing anywhere - just gorgeous pictures of fake flowers.

    I find a box that says MODIFY your order, and I think, Thank God, I can go to a place and cancel the whole thing. I push MODIFY YOUR ORDER... And the next big box that pops up is YOU CANT CAN’T CANCEL YOUR ORDER!!! Seriously!!! This is insane. I thought I was in a bad B horror movie! I finally found a phone number on a different web page that says they are open 24/7. I called it. Guess what? They’re closed. I can’t believe this is a real site. It showed up in my news feed and I thought their flowers were beautiful. But - it’s all fake. Please don’t waste your money or time. Nothing - NOTHING is honest on their website. I’ve reported them to the Better Business Bureau and there are a great number of similar complaints there about this outfit. Have a good day - all of you reading this - but not a good day to slimeballs like Avas Flowers who deliberately deceive people.

    I tried to use the Avas website to order some flowers. After picking a bouquet, I'd hit "continue" only to get "Page not found". The "Contact" button it did not work. After trying to order two different bouquets, and getting the same message, I used the telephone. An e-mail, sent by Brian **, asked about my dissatisfaction. My details were specific. Some time later, I tried the website again only to get the same "Page not found" message and a contact button that did not work. This time I called and got a supervisor who promised that he would contact the IT Department. Today, I tried a third time and got as far as the checkout message before getting the "Page not found" message and a contact button that did not work. Avas Flowers are beautiful and their prices are approximately in line. Their IT Department sloppiness negates the good work of all the other departments. They will no longer worry about getting my business.

    Thinking I was buying local, somehow I was directed to Avas. The website listing said delivery was free. I chose a $52.99 arrangement. Then I get the breakdown of what my card was charged. $52.99 of the flowers, $2.99 FOR THE CARD with a short message and who they were from, $9.99 delivery charge DESPITE THE FREE DELIVERY post and $15.95 SERVICE & HANDLING FEE - WHAT?     I placed an order early morning for same day delivery. At 4:30 pm I selected the link in my email to check status of the delivery. I received "Your order is scheduled for delivery today". I opted out to speak to someone. I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes. The girls returned and answered the phone as if I had just called. When I said, "You have had me on hold checking status of my order." She said, "Oh yes Sandra. Hold just a moment." She returned and said my order was out for delivery and as soon as she had an update she would call me back. About 5 minutes later I received a text "URGENT - Please contact AVAS FLOWERS regarding your order". I called and was told that the flower truck didn't deliver enough flowers to the shop therefore they were unable to make my arrangement. They said, "We can get it out tomorrow".     She said, "Well tell us the next time they will be home and we can get it out then." I said, "You can't guarantee that so I just want a refund." The next morning I called to make sure that was processed. This person tried to "make a deal with me". He said, "We can give you a credit for the full amount plus an additional $20. We can call the person who was receiving the flowers and ask them when they will be home next to make a delivery." I said, "NO you will NOT call them. It was a surprise! I just want my money back." He again tried to make deals with me and I refused.

    He said, "We because YOU are cancelling we cannot refund the $24.95 handling and processing fee." I said, "Yes you will. You didn't handle any flowers! I was told my arrangement was never even made." He placed me on hold and returned and claimed I would receive a full refund in 10 business days. It's funny, they took my money same day! We will see if I actually receive a full refund. I will NEVER use Avas Flowers again.

    Ordered flowers to be delivered at our local funeral home for a close family member. This was not a cheap order and website guaranteed delivery would be made. Two hours before the viewing I was left a message on my cell phone that they could not make delivery until sometime the next day. TOTALLY unacceptable as the funeral was early the next morning. I will NEVER use this company again. Once you put your credit card number in they charge your account and they have got you. When calling the number they left for call back you are connected with someone who barely speaks English and could care less about how sensitive an issue this was for our family. A good lesson learned, stay local or call a local place in the area you want flowers delivered to. Avas Flowers are heartless and the guarantee for same day service is **!

    The flowers advertised and ordered for my friends birthday were completely different from the flowers she received. They were also of poor quality and even the vase was wrong. When I saw the pic of what she had gotten I got in touch with Avas and asked them to either send out the correct flowers or issue me a refund, they did neither and only offered a 10% discount on my next delivery. Like that is going to happen. I have attached pics of the lousy flowers she received and the beautiful ones I had chosen and paid $70 for.

    I ordered a tulip floral arrangement a month before visiting my mother in law in Phoenix over Easter. It was to be delivered Friday 3/30. As a meeting planner, I have used them in the past to order flowers for my clients. As this was a personal purchase and I was visiting at the time, I was able to see the delivered purchase. The flowers were small, wilted and the lowest of quality in their presentation. Highly embarrassed. Other family members who were also visiting commented on their poor quality. Again embarrassed as it was my purchase. In contacting Avas the best they would do is give me a $10 credit for future use. Why would I trust them with another purchase after seeing what they sent. They were very unhelpful in resolving the problem and definitely lost a valuable client.

    I order flowers for same-day delivery, using Avas Flowers. However, two days later, I'm still waiting for them to be delivered. When I called the company to complain, they said that there was text on my invoice saying that it was out for "flex delivery," meaning it would be delivered up to 2 days late. However, this text was not clear and was very easy to miss. In all other parts of my invoice (and on their website), my order said same-day delivery. I will not be using them again. Moreover, the service charge was almost as expensive as the bouquet itself! Not worth the money at all.

    I was promised, after emphasizing that I was looking for same day delivery of flowers and candy, that this delivery would be made that day (the day before Easter). With that assurance, I went to work and wasn't available by email or cell for several hours. Later, I saw several messages from Avas. I gave a call and was told that nothing was delivered that day. The flowers would be delivered on Tuesday (2 days after Easter) and the candy basket would be delivered at a later date. I was livid. If I'd known they could not fulfill my order I would have placed my order with another florist. By the time I found out, it was too late to send anything.

    Avas Flowers is the most irresponsible florist there is. My husband died in November 2017. I order more than $300.00. And THEY DID NOT DELIVERED ANYTHING BUT THEY SURE CHARGED FOR THEM? IT WAS AN ORDEAL TO GET MY MONEY BACK!!! THEY EVEN OFFER TO GET THE FLOWERS DELIVERED to the cemetery a month later. I would never order flowers from them again. Today I get a phone call saying they had trouble with their delivery person and their designer on my order so they want to upgrade and deliver tomorrow. NO that's a NO.     I placed an order for flowers and chocolates for my Daughter-in-law's birthday on March 24. I paid extra for express delivery. On Monday afternoon I took a call and was informed the delivery was NOT made on March 24 because they could not find the address. I called my son who called them back with instructions. Yesterday morning on March 27, I called again only to find out it STILL had not been delivered because they could not find the address. That address is easily located on any GPS. After holding for 5 minutes I hung up because I was at work and could not hold any longer.

    I was called back and told another attempt would be made. I informed them that this was totally unacceptable and to cancel the order, I would find someone else who could get the job done so that my Daughter-in-law would not think I had forgotten her birthday. So now, four days after her birthday an arrangement has arrived at her home from another company. I paid 93.42 for this and was only issued a refund for 77.47. I demanded the remaining 15.95 for express service refunded immediately.

    I'm LIVID! I ordered flowers on Saturday for SAME DAY delivery. It is now WEDNESDAY and my friend still has not received her flowers. They only tried delivering on Monday, but by then she was at work so they didn't deliver. I called them and gave them her work address and they STILL attempted her home address, so again they did not deliver. I called now and asked for my money back and they REFUSED! All kinds of excuses about how I messed up and not an ounce of responsibility on their part for their LOUSY customer service and misleading website! I spent almost $100 and they will not refund it!     My experience with Avas was awful. I ordered flowers and candy to be delivered for my mother's birthday. The delivery never happened so I called. They gave me a second delivery date a week after my mother's birthday. No flowers on that date. I called again and flowers were delivered, just not what I ordered. So after calling and complaining two more times I was promised the correct order would be delivered. That never happened. I'm done with them. Don't use this company.

    Worst experience ever. To some people this might be silly but the family Pet died. I couldn’t be there so I googled same day florist. This was the first one that I came up. I called to place my order to ensure that the arrangement I wanted was available. I asked if it was. I was told, “Yes.” They had all the flowers in stock. Couple hours later I got a phone call asking if they could swap colors on some other flowers from orange to yellow. I said, “Yes.” They could swap colors. I also asked if they would be delivered. I was put on hold so they could check with the driver. They said they would see if they could catch the recipient at home. I said, “It’s fine. You can leave them on the porch.” I was told, “OK.”

    The flowers were not delivered the same day. They were delivered two days later and had purple in them. When I called I was offered 10% off a future order. I’m never ordering from you again. I want my money back. They’re two days late and a dollar short. To top it off so did the phone call very calm but like many people was not happy with the customer service that I was getting and asked for someone else. I was told, “I am the highest person you can talk to. Everyone else is gone.” “OK can I have a voicemail of someone above you.” I was again told, “Now I’m the only person you can talk to.” Definitely disputing with my bank.

    This is the worst arrangement that has ever been sent to a family member of my from a florist and was delivered by Avas. I ordered the Beauty in Bloom the premium arrangement for $74.99 + tax + extra delivery $9.99 before noon for a total of $104.91 and was a complete mess! The only resolve was a $8 discount for the arrangement being two roses short and after a manager got involve a $15 dollar discount. This was a birthday gift to my sister and was very disappointed that this arrangement meets their "recipe" for the arrangement and their refusal to replace or refund. Beware and be informed this can happen to you! This arrangement looks like a $20 at best.

    Do NOT ever use them. They advertise same day delivery if placed by 1 pm. I placed an order at 10 am for my twin girls for their 20th birthday because they are away at college totaling $170. They do not contact me until 1:30 saying it will be delivered Monday which I immediately canceled the order. Also, there is a language barrier because his English is not good which takes the conversation even longer, and keep in mind I still have to get off the phone and get online and find someone else who can do their job better. But oh wait... they want to charge me a $15 service fee since I am canceling a same day delivery order that they can't deliver for another 2 days.

    I demanded to speak to a manager and of course all I kept being told was it's just their system and he cannot deduct the charge or allow me to speak to anyone. And they advertise they are a FAMILY owned business. We own our own business (more than one even) and we wouldn't have a business if we ran it the way this one is run. I informed them that it was gonna cost THEM more than $15 in the long run because I would be giving a bad review since I wasn't allowed to speak to someone in charge about my issue. One non-placed order because someone read my review is their own fault.

    I was supposed to have a flower arrangement delivered for a funeral starting at 5PM. I called at 4:20PM and they guaranteed me that it would be delivered by 5PM. It was not delivered by 5PM and is now 5:30PM. The funeral is only 3 hours so it seems like they scammed us. We did not even get the flowers. I called to ask to speak to a manager. They put us on hold for 10 minutes too then say the manager was not available and would call back in which they did not. This company is horrible and would not recommend to worse enemy.

    I am very disappointed in their customer service. I ordered flowers for my 91 year old grandmother for Christmas. Not only did they not get delivered by Dec. 20th as promised, they didn't get delivered at all. The local florist who is part of the Avas Flowers network says they delivered them but didn't. Avas customer service apologized for the error and were going to refund $10 in hopes of keeping me as a customer. It is now March 23rd. No refund and no flowers. Keeping customers is easier than getting new ones. Just do what you say you are going to do. It's that simple!

    I do not live in Fayetteville and needed to order sympathy flowers for a friend who recently lost a loved one. I searched florists in Fayetteville and Avas Flowers came up first in my search and presents itself as being local. I searched the website and it presents same day fresh and discounted flowers. I placed my order and during the online order process discovered at the end they don't charge for shipping but they charge a service and handling fee of $15 and also a $2.99 gift card fee. Neither of which are clearly stated.

    I went ahead and placed the $60 order believing if the fresh flowers were coming from a local florist and look as good as the picture that it would be worth it. The flowers arrived and were sparse, the roses were brown and it just was not what the website presented it to be. The card attached wasn't even from Avas Flowers. I will never order from this online fraud again and hope that Consumer Affairs does something to expose their deception. I was disappointed and sad that my effort to encourage a friend during her time of grief seemed less than what I set out to accomplish.

    On Thursday 3/15/2018 I ordered a flower arrangement for my wife who works evening at a retail location. After calling 4 Groupon offers (different florists) and told me they could not deliver after 6pm, I found this company. First thing I asked was if they could deliver after 6:30pm because my wife works from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. They said "YES". In fact the order taker said, “Hhow about 7 PM”. I said perfect. I placed the order which was surprisingly much higher costs. The order was I believe either $54 or $59. After all said and done. It came to $84.92. I asked, "Why so much when you offer free delivery." She said there's a service fee. She said it's standard fee that every place charges. I haven't ordered flowers in a long time so maybe she was right, but then again the online website says it's 45% off + free delivery and additional 10% off. Let me say that this arrangement was NOT even remotely worth the $125 plus their service fee had it not been discounted!

    That evening my wife called me at 10pm and was all excited she got flowers at her work. I was like "I just got them now?" She said it was delivered to her work before she arrived at around 5 or 530pm. Due to she's not in yet, the manager put it in the office and forgot about it and realized after around 10pm. I called first thing Monday morning and spoke to the manager by the name of Albert. OMG, the rudest customer service manager I've ever dealt with in my life. I told him what happened. I told him it was very important for me to have it delivered after 6:30pm. That's why I chose them rather than use Groupon that would have been cheaper. He said first they cannot guarantee and it was delivered before the requested time. I told him over and over, I needed after 6:30pm and the lady who took my order said they can guarantee that. I even told him to play back the recording of the conversation during the order. He wasn't listening at all.

    He then said, "We have the name of the place to be delivered to and the address and they did just that." What the employee did after it was delivered did with it and kept it in the office till 10pm was not their problem. I said, "You had a person name on the delivery and that person wasn't there. I didn't request to order flower to a drop off location, I asked to be deliver to a person on the order." I said, "If I ordered pizza to be delivered to my home after 630 when I got home from work and your company delivered it at 5pm, would you just hand it to whomever?" He said, "That’s different!" I asked to speak to his manager. He said he's the only manager right now on the floor. I asked who can I speak with tomorrow or the next day? He said he can't give me this information. Additionally he said all complaints needs to be done within 24hrs. His answers made my blood boils. I just hung up! I would never recommend anyone to order anything from this place.

I called 877-638-3303, I spoke with Rena.     I ordered a Peace Lily for funeral of out of town relative. Incorrect information on card. No one knew the incorrect name of person sending. "Uncle Bud." There is no Uncle Bud in the family or any friends. I called to see if I could figure out what happened but they first accused the funeral home of the mix up or discarding the card. Then they went to their recording of my order and said that they had put the incorrect information down. I asked for a refund but they declined because they said they delivered the correct product!     When a floral delivery company takes your money you assume they will actually perform the job you paid them to do. Not so much with Avas Flowers... They charged us over $100 for an order that was supposed to be delivered on 2/15/18. Granted with Valentine's Day occurring the day before, I can see how things might have been delayed but after being verbally told that our order would be delivered twice, we came to find out it never was. Now, over a month later, we finally did get a refund but the time I had to spend on this was ridiculous. Avas Flowers advertises they are a local florist they are NOT - they are worse than FTD.

    Dreadful company. We ordered flowers to arrive at my grandparents' home the next day where my family was holding vigil as my grandpa died. The day of scheduled delivery they called to say that my bouquet "just so happened to have been left in their truck" and would be delivered the next day instead. My husband explained why we wanted the flowers there that day and to please either deliver them or refund our money so we could order flowers from elsewhere, since the delay was due to their own mistake. They refused saying we could either cancel it for a fee or pay $10 to have them delivered right away. Really an insult. He hung up on them and they called back 10 minutes later and said they were still going to deliver them late, the next day, but that they'd "upgrade the bouquet."     I am livid! This is the worst company ever! I ordered sympathy flowers for a coworkers son and I was promised that the flowers would be delivered in time for the funeral. When I saw the invoice had a different delivery time. I called the company and they assured me the flowers would be delivered on time. Well today they call and say they only have one vendor who can deliver by the required time but they need an additional $81! I was so pissed and the CSR kept apologizing to me and I told her to just stop it. I was hijacked and had no other choice this late in the day. I asked for a manager and she put me on hold for so long until I kept asking her if she was there. I finally just got so pissed that I paid the extra money and hung up the phone.     Wanted to call local flower shop in Concord NH area to send flowers to my aunt for her birthday. Called Avas as it appeared to be local. Ordered flowers for SAME DAY DELIVERY as they stated that they would be able to do. Should have been smart when they wanted to charge for a birthday card that they were not a good business to deal with but I was in a rush and ordered anyway. When I left to pick up my daughter at school they called my house claiming there was a problem. The number the woman gave was different than the number popping up on my phone. Since I could not make out her number after many attempts, I called the number that popped up and it was not in service.

    So I called the 888-599-0371 that was listed on the website. When I called they said they could not deliver that day and wanted to charge an extra $4.00 for the order. When I tried to find out why the extra charge on an already placed order, no adequate explanation was given. Furthermore when I said I needed it to be delivered that day and since they could not I wanted to cancel. They gave me a hard time. About 20 minutes of telling them I want to cancel and them not accepting it they finally put me on hold for another 20 minutes and then came back saying they would cancel but charge for a cancellation fee! Imagine charging when they totally cannot deliver what they promise! I asked to send confirmation to my e-mail of the cancellation and they never did.

    Being now totally upset that I ever called these people I called my credit card to find out that they not only did not cancel but charged me again for the flowers! Over $100.00 for flowers never delivered. Tried several times calling but what to my surprise you cannot get through!!! They say they will call back but do not!

    Be advised do not order from this company, they are terrible!

I asked for same day delivery on 3/7/18. Two days letter, I receive an email stating they had to substitute my order and would be delivering flowers on 3/10/18. Additional free box of chocolates for my inconvenience. It is now 3/15/18 and nothing has been delivered even after I contacted Customer Service 3 times. They will not give me an estimated delivery date. "We'll notify you when flowers are delivered."     On March 13, 2018 I located (what I thought) was a LOCAL florist as it was advertised they were in Whitewater, WI. I wanted to order an arrangement and a few balloons for a relative's birthday. The Avas Flowers' rep took FOREVER on this call - he was PAINFULLY SLOW! He kept apologizing like he didn't know what he was doing and apologize for the long delay. He kept asking me the same questions over and over. I tried to be patient but the call went in this order AS DIRECTED by the Avas Flowers' rep: 1) My name & Email Address. 2) Where the arrangement was to be delivered. 3) What type of arrangement I wanted (including a plant and 5 Mylar balloons). 4) What I wanted to put on the card that accompanies the delivery. 5) My credit card #, exp and 3 digit code on the back. 6) My billing address.

    The conversation continued (again PAINFULLY SLOW!) FRAUD! They charged my credit card $77.51 - That amount was never discussed, I never authorized it and I canceled the order during the ONE AND ONLY CALL! The rep took it upon himself to process the order! I called 28 min later, as I got notification from my email that the order was processed! I was LIVID! I called Avas Flowers back, and was told they could not cancel the order as it was a same day delivery! I explained that I canceled the order before I hung up the call! They put me on hold, to listen to the call. The gentlemen came back and said "We aren't allowed to record the credit card info or any of the conversation that followed after" - CONVENIENT REALLY?? So they can't hear me cancel the order, and oh well? I DON'T THINK SO! I had to call my MasterCard company to dispute this payment!

    I've had over 18 conversations between emails back and forth (each time with a different representative) - and now TWO conversations on the phone when they are NOW CALLING TO HARASS me telling me the same thing! They can't issue a refund because the arrangement/balloons were delivered! They wouldn't have been delivered if the rep on the call would have CANCELED MY ORDER - this is fraud! They have really messed my money up, and this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! As I am typing this I just got another call by someone by the name of Donte, telling ME THE SAME DAMN THING!

    At least give me a credit for the $27.51 - since MY BUDGET was $50. By the way - They are not local! They list themselves as being in Whitewater, WI - THEY ARE IN NEW JERSEY with some snotty ** people who want to argue and harass me! I'm disgusted with the way they have treated me! SUMMARY: Because I am disputing this charge, I had to tied the $s on my credit card (as it is under investigation) and will be from 30-60 days and wait for a new card to come in the mail as that card has been CLOSED! So much for celebrating my relative's birthday! AVAS FLOWERS SUCK! NEVER AGAIN! I will tell everyone to stay clear from these con artists!

    I am so upset, my sister who I haven't seen in a year, turned 41, I was really wanting to surprise her for her birthday, so I picked out a specific bouquet with her favorite colors, a box of gourmet chocolates and a card to be delivered the day after her birthday, since they are closed Sundays.     So I started wondering if the orders were mixed up. I asked her to send me a picture of her bouquet and it was not in any way shape or form what I had ordered for her! Mostly baby's breath but not a whole lot of flowers, I could have picked up a prettier bouquet from my local Walmart and had it shipped for a quarter the price. When contacting customer service, I explained to them that she got the wrong flowers, and was missing the chocolates and the card, they said, “Hold on so I can give you some options”, after waiting for 14 minutes on hold, she said she refunded the card and chocolates, “anything else I can help you with?”

    My response after I caught my voice again was, "Ummm I never once asked for a refund, I wanted my sister to receive her birthday present the way I ordered it." So she put me on hold again for another 17 minutes, when she came back, I was told that since a refund had been issued, there was nothing they could do about sending the items back out to her, when I told them to go ahead and charge me again, I just want her birthday to be special, but they said, “I'm so sorry ma'am, nothing I can do, stay on hold and take a brief survey”... I was so mad I hung up, so my husband called back and got the same runaround, when he asked for speak to the manager, they refused to put him on the line with one! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a florist, they are rip off scam artists!!!

    Ordered a floral arrangement for my mother on March 8, 2018. Website said same day delivery all over it. Plus up to 45% of some items and free shipping. Received the invoice which charged an additional $15.95 for handling fees. Then the invoice said the delivery may not occur on Saturday as I had requested. So much for guaranteed delivery. I then received an e-mail which notified the flowers had been delivered. I called my mom who said the flowers never arrived. Called Avas Flowers back. Was told the delivery person knocked on the door but received no answer.

    Delivery person said they left a voice mail. I called on Sunday and was given the same info. Called my mom who told me no one had been at the residence for the last 2 days, that she was home both days. Her caretaker verified the info. further stating they didn't receive any phone call or messages from the flower company. Monday 3-12, I called Avas Flowers again. The rep. told me he contacted the flowers arrangers, that my order was being prepared and would be delivered this afternoon. When I asked what happened to the first order the rep. couldn't give me an answer.

    Thought about it for a while and called back to cancel the order. Rep. said the other rep. wasn't correct, that the flower arrangers never received a call from the rep. (another lie). Rep. said I couldn't cancel the order since it was on the truck (rep. couldn't verify this). Rep. then told me I could cancel the order but it would cost $15.95 to cancel something that never arrived. So I guess I was scammed. Do not purchase anything from this outfit.

    Ordered the “Deluxe Luxury" upgrade for a floral arrangement for a friend in Wisconsin. The flowers delivered were a grocery store quality arrangement. Stems just stuck in a vase nowhere near the advertised photo. There was no “arrangement”. My children gave me prettier bouquets when they were little. Certainly not worth the $85 I paid. I contacted the company asking for an explanation. Certainly there had been a mistake. This wasn't $85 worth of flowers. Perhaps they sent a normal arrangement by mistake. I have received three condescending emails. The first asking me for a picture of “this beautiful arrangement”. Their words, certainly not mine. Received an email stating they could not fulfill my ordered and they would be upgrading me to 2 dozen roses and candy for my inconvenience. I called and asked the agent to not send candy since the recipient could not eat and I wanted something comparable to what I ordered.

    I had a very poor experience with this company and I take partial blame - I should have researched the reviews other than what they have posted on their site. They have many many terrible reviews! I ordered an Elegant Bliss Basket (which you can find on their website) for my uncle's funeral. I know that most florists reserve the right to substitute so I made it clear to the person taking the order to please NOT send a Peace Lily if there was any substitution because I do not like them and therefore do not want to pay for one. If it was in a mixed basket with other plants/flowers would be the only way I could tolerate it. What did they send? A nonblooming tired looking Peace Lily!!! Not a mixed basket. Just the Peace Lily.

    I called as I was very upset about it. Completely substituting my order like that did not make me happy. I take substitution to mean that they may not have the exact same plants to use in my mixed arrangement but would make it as similar as possible - this was nowhere close! I complained to the company by calling and speaking to one of their "caring" employees who told me to send an email which I did twice. They never responded. I would highly recommend that you use one of the local florists in the same town as the funeral rather than one of these "45% discount" internet companies - just my 2 cents.     I used Avas to order sympathy flowers on March 3rd, 2018 based on their ad saying SAME DAY delivery. The flowers were for family members who had gathered from miles away to be with their dying parent. Upon the death, they decided to hold a family memorial service since they were all together so thus the urgency for flower delivery from us who were 1000 miles away. On the email confirmation from Avas, there was a tracking button which provided info: March 3, “out for delivery” which later added “waiting for driver delivery confirmation”. March 4: “redelivery” then added later “waiting for driver confirmation”. BTW, some family members were in the home both days. At noon, I called and asked assurance the flowers were being delivered, Mellissa to check and call me back. No call back so called again at 3:45, Iva to check and call back. Again no callback, called Jake at 5:30 and said cancel the order which had still not arrived.

    He said local florist had not responded so it could not be cancelled but she/he would probably take care of it tomorrow by tracking the flowers Or redoing them. Told Jake, who was nice, that I did not want an arrangement that had traveled around in a van all weekend lost if there ever was one, and delivery tomorrow would do no good since family was dispersing and flying home. So, Avas Flowers turned a simple act of trying to pay respect to a family in sorrow into A nightmare compounded by their lack of follow through to me, the customer, and total disregard to its own advertisement of same day delivery... not to mention the embarrassment we feel to the family who thinks we did not care enough to acknowledge their grief. My advice: deal with any other 1-800 flower service! At least, they are honest: FTD has Sat and Sun delivery blocked out and Teleflora called to say they were unable to arrange Sat delivery with a local florist.

    I too was sucked into thinking I was ordering from a local Florida florist. I was very specific about what I wanted since my Mother has macular degeneration and can only see specific colors, red, yellow and orange. She received blue and purple flowers which is what I specifically asked NOT to have. So what she sees is a bouquet of grey flowers.

    I bought a Sympathy Bouquet of flowers from Avas Flowers, for my niece's funeral home and it showed up totally not like the picture, for $92 you would think that it would have been a nice arrangement, it was horrible!!! I have called Avas Flowers, emailed them, sent a comparison picture side by side, to show how horrible they are and all I did for the past week was get harassed by them stating, "Well that's what the "recipe" you ordered"- I did not order a recipe, I ordered a well-rounded bouquet of flowers!     I was looking for a local florist in Durham, NH. I placed an order online via Avas Flowers due to their claim that they are local. I called after placing the order to talk about the details of the flower arrangement, and discovered that they are not local at all.     We all order flowers a few times a year, so it probably represents a very valued consumer need. If there was a funeral. Would you want your flowers sent the day AFTER the funeral? Well, for me. It was Valentine's Day 2018. I called AVAS the DAY BEFORE VALENTINES DAY (February 13, 2018). I specifically said that it was imperative to have the flowers sent THAT DAY! Well the manager called me later in the afternoon and APOLOGIZED, he had gotten busy. Was there any way they could deliver it the next morning. I tried to be flexible and nice, so I said it was okay one ONE CONDITION: THAT MY DELIVERY WAS ON THE FIRST TRUCK DELIVERING ON VALENTINE'S DAY.     I was on the Avas website ordering flowers on February 26th for my Granddaughter's 21st birthday tomorrow February 27th, The website advertised a sale with 45% off, free delivery, and an extra 15% off with a code. I wanted a 21st birthday balloon so I called their number and asked if they had 21st birthday balloons and they said yes. I was going to go back to the website, but the salesperson said that he could do it for me. My items were flowers at $41.99, the balloon at $6.99 and a card at $3,99. Total was $52.97. I was told that they would e-mail an invoice and when I received, there was nothing itemized with prices and a flat $73.49 charge. No explanation.     I ordered flowers for an employee who was leaving our establishment. Ordered Feb 8 for delivery Feb 9th before 1pm. Paid 9.99 extra for that service. I never received any confirmation of delivery. I inquired with coworker, nope nothing delivered. Contacted customer service - delivery was attempted but business was closed. Never stated what time they tried. The office closed at 12 but was occupied until 1:30. No one knocked and no notice of attempt left. I requested a refund but because they "say" delivery was attempted they can only redeliver.

    After weeks of emails now they are trying to say it was attempted before 1pm - so they can redeliver and nothing else. I've asked for proof of attempted deliver & local florists name. They haven't provided that to me and I've asked twice. They accept returns and refund is minus service fees so I requested a return of a product I don't have - wasn't delivered so returned to them in perfect condition & there is no transportation to pick up so refund me the rest. "No we cant refund only redeliver" - They don't even stand behind their own policies. I now see they are a scam and there is no local florist per reading other reviews. They received several negative reviews. At this point I consider them thieves and should be held accountable as such -DO NOT USE AVAS FLOWERS.

    Ordered flowers 2/24, Saturday, AM, website stated SAME DAY DELIVERY, flowers were not delivered until Monday 2/26. I text after flowers were not received on Sunday and received response that driver was out to make delivery but had not confirmed that he delivered them, I called Monday wanting a refund and they only offered a 10% discount, stating they don't deliver on Sundays, that was not on website. Services were in Porterdale, I specifically searched for a florist on Porterdale and was given Avas Flowers in Porterdale, DO NOT ORDER FROM Avas, they ruined the service by not delivering as on website.     I placed an order for a Funeral, and it was supposed to be free shipping but the bill had a handling fee of $15.95, so right off the bat that was false advertising. When I questioned them about it they had a million excuses, and told me I was still getting a great deal. Then the purchase I did make out of desperation, I needed it ASAP. It was a "Same day Delivery" purchase according to their website. It was supposed to be delivered before 12:00 PM on 2/23/18. They contacted me on 2/23/18 in the evening to tell me my order couldn't be delivered, and it would be delivered on Tuesday 2/27/18. I explained that this isn't acceptable. It's for a funeral, and I asked that they cancel my order. They refused to cancel my order. I repeatedly asked why can't you cancel it, and all they could say was, "I just can't." No explanation. They also would not let me speak to a supervisor. Horrible company. Never again!

    I ordered overpriced flowers to be delivered to a friend of mine in Oregon. I live in Illinois. Ordered them online with the CORRECT address and APARTMENT number (I have the printed receipt to prove it) and as of today, Tuesday, THEY ARE STILL NOT THERE. Since Friday, they have lied, came up with poor excuses and after calling several times, no results. One of the excuses was that the local florist who apparently produces these flowers, well, it is their fault. Ok? Give me their number and let me resolve this with them. No can do. Apparently these business want to remain anonymous. That is a first and truthfully, I don't blame them. I would not want anyone to know me or my business if the service is this bad. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE if you actually want to have flowers delivered on time. By the way, you can't cancel your order either. According to Customer Service, they are not allowed to do that...

    Used Avas because they had good reviews on their page (which are phony) and they appeared to be local (they’re not!). I received no invoice or e-mail confirmation. I had no way of knowing if flowers arrived, & the flowers were not delivered in a vase with clear wrap, they were in a brown box! Just what your wife/girlfriend, etc., doesn’t want! I will never use them again! They could care less that I was dissatisfied!

    Placed an order for flowers and within 10 minutes received an email that they would not be delivered on that day and this was on a Friday. They stated they could deliver the flowers on the following Monday. I immediately tried to cancel the order which was completely impossible. They never delivered the flowers. They charged my credit card plus an additional $16 that was not discussed on the website. Almost $100 and no flowers. I have contacted American Express and they are filing a claim against the company. Do not use this company. It’s a sham and a scam. They are not a locally around United States company. When you call the number, these are barely English-speaking telephone operators.

    I was looking to send flowers to a friend in the hospital that is out of state. I looked up "local" florists for her city and state and Avas flowers came up. LIE #1. They are NOT a local florist! I even asked the guy if he was close to "the hospital" and he said "yes". I also mentioned to him that the website said there was a code for free delivery, But that I could not order from the website as I was not sure of the exact address. And asked if I could use the code for free delivery on the phone and get free delivery. He said "yes". I went through the ordering process and when it came to the end and I gave my CC # he gave me a total (which was the flowers I ordered. Even ordering the deluxe version as I was not going to have to pay delivery charge). I then headed to work.

    When I got to work I checked my e-mail and had an alert for use of CC over phone. When I opened it, the amount was almost $20 more than the total I was given... I immediately called Avas and was told that was a delivery fee. I said I was told 1) I could use code for free delivery and 2) the total I was quoted was not what was charged. I asked to speak to a manager that was rude and I explained the situation whereupon they said they would have to review the "recording of the phone call" and I said, "GREAT!!" When they came back they said that I was not told that I could use code and the price given was just the flowers. Knowing at this point they were not only lying but dishonest as anytime I have ordered anything over the phone. They tell you the total that will be charged to your account, not a total that they are going to add more on to.

    I asked to have the order canceled and my $ returned. They said they could not do that (even though it had been less than an hour since the order was placed and had not even begun to be filled). Bottom line... They have questionable advertisement (very misleading). They scammed me out of $20 and refused to cancel my order even though it had not been processed yet. The people are rude and do not care that they stole from me and they are liars!! I know what was said and I have filed a grievance with my CC company, who I hope will get to hear the recording so the truth will come out. This is not a good company!!

    I ordered these flowers online the day before my aunts funeral. I made sure I got it in on time and when I called the next day to find out if they had delivered them they informed me that they couldn’t do it because they couldn’t find anybody in the town that the funeral was at to have the flowers done. I am so disgusted because I could not get up to my aunt's funeral because of the roads and the weather so I wanted to at least have something from my kids and myself at the funeral and they couldn’t even do that. All they could say was, "We are sorry. We can have it delivered to her home." Really. She just passed away you idiots. Do not order from these people. You will regret it. They are the worst!!!

    I found this website that said they could deliver that same day so I decided to order through them for my mom's bday. The order total came to $38 And I completed the checkout and then on got my paid invoice which there had been an additional charge for service and handling for $15.95 but it didn't say that before I completed the checkout. I called them and told them they have unethical business practices and they argued with me. Then a few hours later I got an email saying they won't deliver that day but the next. I called them back and said I want it delivered today as promised. They didn't care at all when I called to complain. They said they already waived the $15.95 fee and that was good enough. Lastly, my mom got her delivery the next morning and it looks nothing like I ordered. This place is a scam and I'll be calling my bank.     On 2/17/18 I ordered and paid $81.13 online to Avas Flowers for an all white sympathy arrangement to be delivered on the same day. I was called back saying they did not have the exact flowers, but would offer something of "equal or greater value." I agreed. Then they stated that they could not deliver the arrangement that day. Below are photos of what I paid for and what was received. How does a floral designer substitute red roses and purple flowers on an all white sympathy arrangement? It looked like a cheap grocery store bouquet, not a $69 arrangement that was ordered not to mention a $15 same day delivery charge that was not honored. Customer service was rude and unwilling to resolve the issue except for a 10% credit which was not acceptable.

I called Avas and told them and said I would give it one more week, still nothing. 21 days later called to ask for a NEW delivery for better customer service, they refused unless they delivered the same flowers.
