    I'll probably sound like a broken record but my complaint is as the others have said, same day delivery promised. I sent flowers for my dad who is housebound to my mother from him on her 85th birthday. Never delivered! (even though I received a confirmation delivery notice.) He was heartbroken. I had to make 3 days of phone calls to get anywhere with this problem. They finally agreed to a partial refund! I still had to pay a service fee for a service they never provided! They also misguide you, as I thought it was a local florist "family owned" business. Which I come to find out they are NOT!! Do not order form these thieves and run from these horrible people!

    I ordered flowers early Saturday morning for Mother's Day delivery on Sunday. The representative guaranteed delivery that day or the next day, Mother's Day. She was absolutely certain delivery by Mother's Day. Great. Within minutes of placing the order, I received an e-mail saying delivery would be Tuesday, two days after Mother's Day. I immediately called back saying if they could not guarantee delivery by Mother's Day, I wanted to cancel the order. I was informed all sales are final and they could not cancel the order. Who would order flowers two days after Mother's Day? I am not even sure the flowers were ever delivered since we were only at that location for the Mother's Day weekend. This organization and its employees should be prosecuted for criminal behavior. I will probably file a small claims suit just because...

    My son who lives in a different state wanted to surprise me with a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day, when the flowers arrived, in a box, I followed the instructions, trimmed them, added the packet supplied. My son called me to ask if my flowers came, he sent a link to show what he ordered, I told him that his thought was beautiful but the flowers were not. They were half dead, even three days later, there were very few flowers and they looked like the wildflowers that grow off of the side of the road. There was no balloon like he requested and no pink vase. Avas Flowers, what a disgrace, shame on you. Never would I ever recommend anyone ordering flowers from them.

    I ordered a deluxe arrangement on Thursday morning 6am online... came to be $70 although I had a promo code. They slide in an almost $20 handling fee. They offer SAME day delivery. All I wanted was to get it to my Mom Friday before 5pm for Mother’s Day. I received a confirmation email Friday it was out for delivery. I waited to hear from my Mom but nothing... I called her ten minutes till her office closed. She had nothing.

    So in a panic I called AVAS and was on hold from the ten minutes we had to figure out where the flowers were... I of course was angry. The lady could barely speak English. I told her I want my money back since they weren’t delivered so said there is no guarantee and I needed to read the fine print basically. Asked for a supervisor she hung up on me. At 7pm got an email flowers were delivered but how if they closed at 5? An hour later the same rude lady called MY MOM and I And promised they would deliver them first thing Monday morning. Here we are 8:30 pm never saw a flower. DON'T GET SCAMMED by local. I got nothing back and there is almost 1000 reviews 0 good.

    I paid $204.00 for the "Opulent Roses and Lilies" the deluxe size. What my Mother in law received was anything but opulent. Instead of the striking arrangement that was pictured on the website, my mother in law received 6 pale pink roses, a few star lilies and a bunch of no name white flowers. The roses were wilted and the petals tinged with brown, so half dead. I paid extra for a real card, there was only the typical small florist card. I had ordered these 4 days ahead so as far as I am concerned they had time to plan ahead. When I called to complain I was told that they were very sorry and would have someone from the design department call me. I am still waiting... Next year I will make my own bouquet. I with the fresh flowers from Costco.

    They say they tried to deliver. It is an assisted living home and I told them to leave the flowers at the front desk or in front of her apartment. Instead they just tried calling her. She a lot of times doesn't answer the phone. You call them to find out and they can't get ahold of anyone at the suppliers. What a terrible business. You can't get ahold of your supplier. I thought I was placing an order with a supplier or florist. Guess not! I urge everyone to stay away from this place!!! And then I was told I can only get a partial refund if I cancel?

    Ordered Mother's Day flowers on 5/9/18 online. Within 1 hr. I receive an email that the floral arrangement I ordered is no longer available and wanted to change it to roses. I said for $66.00, Roses are not acceptable (I could buy them at a gas station way cheaper). So I changed to another floral bouquet. Next day, another email this arrangement was no longer available. I called again and selected another floral bouquet and said again NO ROSES. Delivery did arrive as scheduled, but guess what - 2 dozen ROSES and a box of chocolates arrived. No thought process in that arrangement.

    I called this morning to complain, after waiting on hold 10 minutes. They wanted to offer me $10.00 plus $10.00 store credit. I said I will not be ordering again from them, so he upped it to $15.00 refund. I accepted that. My Mom was happy with the flowers, but I am sure they will be DEAD in 2 days and the chocolate disposed of. Would never order from them again, should have read reviews first. They say they are local, FTD, but they are not! They are out of NJ. A "bait and switch" company in my mind. It's Mother's Day and this is a florist - HELLO - what do you mean you don't have any floral arrangements!

    I choose Avas Flowers because I needed some funeral flowers delivered on behalf of our company asap. Time was of the essence so I searched the internet for a local florist in the city of the funeral to ensure a timely delivery. When I did a search Avas Flowers - "local deliveries in (city/state) the same day!" came up. So I called and asked if they could meet my timeline, and they say 'yes'. A big sigh of relief as I thought I was set, until the voice mail came in an hour after the funeral started. "We couldn't deliver your flowers because the services had already started. Do you have another address that we could deliver to?" I was sooo disappointed and upset.

    I choose them because they were local and could get it done! Long story short, they are a middle man that works from phone and internet; they are located in another state half way across the country. They made a promise they could not keep, and the only one who ended up looking bad is my company, who did NOT have any flowers at this funeral. I can only imagine how our employee felt. Avas gave me a $10 discount on the order, which I thought was a slap in the face, but at the point I was not going to deal with them anymore so I accepted it and will NEVER use Avas Flowers again. Watch out for them as they do NOT deliver as promised. Your loved ones will be level hanging.

    On 5/11/18 I ordered and paid $130 dollars of a pot of double stem orchids as Mother's Day present with same day delivery. Then on the order confirmation page it states "they will try but no guarantee". Yet on their delivery policy it states, "the cutoff for same day delivery is for orders received by 2pm". My order was place way before the cutoff time. An email followed later stating the item I ordered is no longer available and that they will substitute and upgraded to "The Best Arrangement Available" at no extra charge and be delivered on Tuesday, 5/15. Immediately I called to question the delivery date because it is already after the intended occasion. And will cancel because it will not serve the purpose anymore. I was told I cannot cancel the order.

    When I asked for the Supervisor or Manager I got the runaround, "I have not seen him for a while", "he is busy", etc. What company is this that will hold customers hostage of their right to cancel or not? Needless to say it was not delivered on the same day or the next day. Made another call the next day, 5/12/18. Was put on hold and after 28 minutes I hang up. Called again (waited shorter this time) and finally was told that if I cancel I will only get a portion of my money because they have to charge "handling fee", etc. I get it, I have to pay them for handling my own money! And so I finally cancelled the order and they got a portion of my money for doing nothing. A very quick and easy way to make money. AVAS Flowers is a very dishonest, unscrupulous business in my opinion. I hope this review is helpful to consumers and customers out there. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Not only were they not delivered, I was hung up on by the 1st rep, and could not even understand the next one!     At the onset of my purchase I had attempted to execute my order on the company's website (Avas Flowers). During my online experience, I attempted to enter a 10 percent discount coupon being advertised. I attempted numerous times to apply the coupon but the site would not allow me to do so. I then called the company's published telephone number to place my order with a company representative.

    After being placed on hold for a long period of time (approx 5 min) a foreign answering service answered my call. The agent indicated that she was not able to extend me the advertised 10 percent discount. I asked to speak to a manager. After again being placed on hold for a few minutes a customer service manager was able to extend me the 10 percent discount and enter my floral arrangement order with a promised delivery date of Saturday, May 12, 2018. I was provided with an order confirmation number and an email confirmation number depicting same.

    My order was not delivered on Sat, May 12th as promised. Today I have attempted to obtain status on numerous times and have not been able to obtain any guidance via telephone or on the company's website. The call center directed me to call a "Customer Center toll free number" where I was constantly directed to extensions where the phone would ring indefinitely without anyone answering. I have sent an email to the company's published service email address indicating the cancellation of my order. I have also contacted my CC company alerting them of the situation and cancellation of my purchase. Bottom line, I would never do business with this extremely poor run organization.

    HORRIBLE! This place seems more like a scam than anything. They changed both my orders saying the original items were unavailable. One was to be delivered five days after the requested delivery date. They both were changed from florist-delivered arrangements to being shipped by UPS. I paid extra for a mylar balloon and colored vase, and neither were delivered yet my card was still charged for both. They claimed this was an "upgrade" due to unavailability but when the arrangement arrived it looked sad and pathetic. Not even close to what I ordered.

    Despite the other order not yet having been shipped, they told me there was nothing they could do to cancel it and the only thing they could do was offer an apology to the recipient accepting responsibility for the error. Forced to pay for something I did not want. Horrible company. They also falsely claim to have good reviews from other websites, showing false Google/Yelp/Bing ratings on their website but that is simply not true.     I ordered the Artist's Design: Lovely Lavender. Option: DELUXE-Including Vase for my mother and she got an entirely different Color and arrangement. They also hook you for an extra handling fee at the end of the payment process which isn't mentioned until the very end.     "Sorry we dropped the ball" was the comment I received from the supervisor when I found out my order was not received. I normally don't write reviews but I am so upset right now. I ordered flowers for my daughter's graduation. We live in California and she goes to school in New York. I contacted Avas Flowers via their on-line service and placed an order for delivery that day. This was on a Thursday. I requested an email confirmation as well as text message. While speaking to my daughter that night, I asked about the flowers, they were never received. Friday morning our time 5:00 am I entered my order #, no information could be given. I started calling and emailing every avenue available. Customer service would only allow callbacks windows, order lines would only put you on hold and transfer. Emails required 5 day callback.

    I decided to contact another florist and they immediately sent the flowers out. Two hours after my inquiry, I received a call from one of their "supervisors", who informed me that they dropped the ball and could still send the flowers today. I said I contacted another florist and wanted a refund. They said I could have store credit of the full amount OR THEY WOULD KEEP THE SERVICE CHARGE OF $20.00. I couldn't believe it since they took full responsibility on "DROPPING THE BALL." He said that was the policy. I argued that the order was never placed, never made, never even placed on a truck. How could they charge me for something they never did. There was no service involved at all. I took the partial refund and will call my CC today and dispute the full amount. NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

    This company is a scam. I spent $117.00 for a floor plant, a business gift for a restaurant's grand opening, that was suppose to be 4' high and when I saw it, it looked terrible and was only 2' at most and was not a floor plant. I was told that they would call me back to resolve this problem, but I never received a call and after many calls they said that they could not exchange it and only offered me a 10% discount which I told them to keep because I would never order from them again. Stay away from this company, they are not what they say they are and their products are awful. I could have gotten a Peace Lily from another company for $60 that would have been much larger than this so called floor plant. There is nothing good about Avas Flowers. They do not tell the truth.

    BEWARE! This company describes itself as "local." It is not. I ordered flowers to be delivered for a special event for a family member. I got a text and email confirmation saying they were delivered. They were not. Customer "service" told me they have problems with their "system" and that's why you get

    delivery confirmation even when there was no delivery. Three calls to customer service, promising to fix the problem. No callback. I am having my credit card company seek refund.

    Placed an order for a funeral arrangement on 5/4/18 at 11:30 am and they said it would be same day delivery. Called their barely ENGLISH SPEAKING call center and they said no problem and confirmed it would be delivered Friday afternoon. I called them back again that evening and they still told me it would be delivered. Started getting text and phone calls saying it would be there on Saturday morning since the funeral was at 10:30 am. They called and said it could not be delivered because OUT OF FLOWERS???? What kind of florist place runs out of flowers.

    They called on Saturday after the funeral and said they could deliver something to the family's house on Monday. They told us at least 2 dozen roses. PAID for a 75.00 arrangement and they delivered on TUESDAY???? Not Monday a dozen of half wilted white roses in a box in 85 degree Texas weather. They probably picked them up in a 1/2 price bin at the local grocery store. Cannot get a hold of any customer complaint person so will file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office. NEVER, NEVER order anything from them unless you have time for a good joke as a flower business.

    Ordered flowers 1 day ago for co-worker family funeral. Placed order over phone, not realizing it was not local... totally a "moment" for me! At time of placing order which was 1pm-1:30 local time. I asked if flowers could be sent to funeral home that day, and unknowledgeable gentleman said yes. Think situation is handled. WRONG. Receive several text messages 9 am --- after 10 am NJ time that I need to call URGENT. I am unable to have phone out at work so took me a bit to see messages and missed call. I called which was 10ish my time and was informed that flowers could not be sent but would be delivered tomorrow, order arrived too late yesterday! Why was I told yes, it could be?

    I told guy that funeral was at 2 and it needed to be fulfilled because it was not handled properly. He told me that he would check and call me right back. I gave him my work number to call me "right back" and noticed an hour later that I had missed a call from them on my cell phone. Frustrated, I called back and then he told me that order could not be fulfilled because florist did not have flowers that I ordered. Once again, we got into discussion of it needs to filled, they entered into contract with me to have it filled. Gentleman said it would be designer's choice but could not make it to service in time because it was too late. Long story, many frustrating comments, asked for manager multiple times, put on hold for multiple times to "check" something out. Said they had special permission from florist to get flowers to a 2:00 funeral by 2! Then 35 minutes later received call stating that church would not accept flowers any longer!!!

    They would refund my money. I looked at statement and my account was refunded minus 18.95. Naturally, I called immediately for my 4th call in a matter of 4 hours. I was put on hold, but instead connected to another customer who was calling about flowers she ordered to be delivered, were received on time but not what she ordered! When I started talking to that customer we were immediately disconnected altogether. Called back and Received refund of the 18.95 with only excuse of, "We have new employees." Never, ever again!

I immediately said cancel my order. They stated they couldn’t do it because it was already processed. I was transferred 3 times to different people.     DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I thought I was buying local as I Googled “same day florist delivery” and the city. I ordered online around 12:00, and received an order confirmation, and later a delivery scheduled email. But about 5 hours later I received numerous texts, calls and emails telling me to call them. When I did they said they couldn’t do same day because they couldn’t find an available florist - which is when I realized they were NOT local. They told me they could deliver it the following day.

    I told them that I had used them as they said same day delivery and it was for a friend’s anniversary of her son’s death, and I never received any notice otherwise until it was too late to find someone else. Then they told me they would give me a store credit plus a bonus. But I told them that I wanted a full refund as I did not plan on ever doing business with them again. The guy offered to call my friend and apologize and I told him absolutely not! He kept trying to make a deal with me but I finally got him to give me a refund.

They gave me a non English speaking guy who I could not understand. They would refund me half my money and keep a 24$ service charge. I asked them why they would keep a 24$ service charge if I just ordered an hour ago. They stated the "farmer" had already received the order and it was being processed! How was it being processed if the delivery is not scheduled for another week??? This was extremely outrageous.     I paid over $90 for a PREMIUM Large bouquet that I had delivered to my mother, who lives in another state, and she received a small bouquet that was barely larger than the card I sent her. She mailed me a photo and according to Avas I couldn't request a refund because 24 hours had passed. Since I didn't send the flowers to myself, how could I have known that the flower arrangement was tiny compared to what I paid.     I can’t believe this company is still in business. What is wrong with this world when companies can just blatantly give you the wrong thing or not at all and they still can take your money. I’m writing this because not only did they lie about “trying” to deliver flowers but then they acted like calling and apologizing would be retribution. They are nasty to speak to and the manager hung up on me. I even asked for the florists number to explain where my mother's apartment is located and they wouldn’t give me the name.     This is the second and last time I have an issue with this company! I used the same day delivery for a birthday. When I checked out it said it may not be same day delivery. I emailed to verify that it would be same day shipping and they told me no, I asked for a refund so I could order from a place to make sure it would be that day. I was told I would not get a full refund that I should have read the disclosure at the bottom of the page, asked why would I when it says in big letters same day, didn’t think I would have to.

    Now I don’t know when they will be delivered, told them to deliver whenever they felt like it because they would not give my money back! The order for my grandmother I did before this one never even got shipped. Sent me an email when I thought it was being delivered saying that they couldn’t ship it at all, sent me a stupid email saying they will give me a 10$ credit towards my next order, next order are you serious!     I placed an order two days in advance for a funeral service and specifically asked if a delivery would make it by a certain time. I stated how important it was and if they were unable to make that commitment I would use another company. I was promised and reassured they would make it. The service was at noon and the flowers were delivered at 4 pm, they did not make it in time for the service. When I called and asked to be refunded for the $200 arrangement they said they could not refund me because the flowers were sent. I asked to speak to management but was told they were busy.     The worst flower shop ever. They ruined wife's 50th birthday. I placed an order over the phone for a same day delivery. Didn't happen. As it turns out they didn't have a local dealer to fulfill the order. Tried to get a refund but that didn't happen either. The customer service manager was the worst.     As other reviewers have stated, same day delivery may not actually be same day. Order placed at 12:15 pm. The cut off time is 2 pm, per their own website, and same-day delivery options are listed on that site only when same day delivery is available. A same day items was chosen and ordered. At 1:48 pm I received a call stating they would not deliver it that day but could do the next day. I didn't need it the next day. Refund options were store credit (would never use) or refund to credit card minus a $15 service fee (for a service never provided). They have a F rating with the BBB and have disabled reviews on their Facebook page.

    I ordered a specific floral arrangement and stuff animal. The arrangement they delivered was not the one I ordered, it had very few flowers and completely different from the ones in the arrangement I wanted. The delivered arrangement was not even arranged nicely. It looked like the flowers were just thrown into the glass vase.

    I made several attempts to contact the company by email and no one replied. I called, they asked for a picture to be emailed, I did that. No reply. Had to call back again. The person I spoke to could see the photo of the wrong arrangement that was delivered. She said they would send out the correct arrangement the next day. That did not happen. When I asked about the 24.99 service/handling fee (because the delivery was free!) she said it was for care... She told me I would get an email confirming a credit for that amount... never happened. I called again to find out they gave me a 9.99 credit! When I questioned why I didnt get the entire $24.99 she said the best she could do is another 10.00.

    As for the second delivery... it was suppose to go out the next day... so now it is two days after my call not the next day. As of this moment I have no idea if the flowers will be delivered or if they will be delivered as ordered or if I will get my second 10.00 refund. I will NEVER used Avas again, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. Complete disregard for any level of customer service!!!

    Do not utilize this company for your floral services needs! Needed same day/next day delivery for flowers. Said same day/next day delivery on website but then did not allow same day as option in processing the order so I input next day of 4/21 to place order. Offers for 50% off appeared on every screen. After completing the order input, I then find on the final summary 1) that I'm being given "50% off" a ridiculously inflated base price for a simple order 2) that I'm being charged an additional $2.99 for a one line message in the delivery and 3) that I'm getting "free delivery" but I'm being charged an additional $25 for handling fees. No time to shop around so I placed order and was done with it.

    Next day, I receive an email telling me the order is not being delivered until 3 days AFTER the scheduled delivery date. I call customer service to cancel order and am immediately disconnected. Call back and get a representative who tells me that they cannot cancel the order because it was placed same day/next day. I said "but you're telling me you're not delivering it same day/next day which is what I paid for so what sense does that make?" Alluded to possibly adjusting my order total but ultimately refused to cancel order which under the circumstances, is now worthless to me. After making it clear I was not going to accept being charged for an order which they would not fulfill within the represented timeframe, they hung up on me! Completely unprofessional and a total waste of time! My credit card company is withholding payment on the charge.

    A cross and heart pillows were ordered for my great niece’s funeral and they were never delivered. I called the next morning and many times since the incident and I’ve gotten a complete runaround. The funeral director said the flower pillows never arrived and that this has happened before because of confusion with two funeral homes in close proximity to one another. The funeral director even told me that if Avas said the flowers were left in the flower room, that meant they were delivered to the wrong funeral.

    Sure enough that is exactly what Avas said. Avas would not refund my money, offered no sort of replacement because they said the flowers were delivered. Every time I asked Avas to get the local delivery person on a 3 way call, they refused. Avas is a complete ripoff. Do not buy from them.     Very unhappy with your service overall. Called 3 times to get an update on delivery and every person I spoke with in regards to this could only tell me that they couldn't communicate with the driver and that they would call me as soon as the driver called them back. First call was at 12 pm, called back at 2 pm and said they would call me in 30 mins, 2:45 pm and I had to call to see what was the holdup, spoke to the manager and he was useless, no help at all. Told me the exact same thing as everyone else, after speaking to him on the phone for over 20 mins he was finally able to communicate with the driver and said the driver was barely on his way and would take 30 mins, the person who was supposed to receive the arrangement had already left so that beats it.

When ordering the flowers I said they needed to be delivered to the church in the morning in time for the 1:00 pm funeral. If I thought they could not handle it I would have used another flower shop.     I ordered flowers that amounted to approximately $50 and they added a further about $25 for delivery and handling, this is fair... Their site and on these arrangements clearly said SAME DAY DELIVERY. It calculated the total and I made the payment. Later I got an email saying they tried contacting me, strange, I didn't have a missed call, anyway I called them back, and eventually spoke to a live person who put me through to another person, this individual told me because the florist is a distance away I need to pay a further $10 for the same day delivery. I was not happy as their site should have been correct or they should carry the cost of the $10.

    I reluctantly paid the $10 and asked the owner to call me which didn't happen. Later I noticed it was not delivered and had a note, to be delivered the next day. TOO LATE as I told the lady, and which is why I reluctantly paid the additional $10. I then told them to refund me immediately or I'd dispute the charge on my credit card, they did call later and claimed to refund, although looking at my bank it now looks like a zero refund was posted. TO BE HONEST, find a better place to deal with and deliver your flowers at the agreed price... (I don't normally rate anyone poorly, but this was seriously not good service.)

I called them and emailed them photos of the dead wilted flowers. They did nothing. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they said my son was refunded. He wasn't. Then they said they didn't feel the flowers were that bad. NEVER use these people. The flowers are bad and their customer service is worse. They have a F rating at the BBB.     I placed a order (Peachy Keen Floral Arrangement) with Avas Flowers on 4/4/18 and they were delivered to my family member the very next day as they were supposed to be. When my family posted a picture of the floral arrangement on social media I noticed that the flowers were not the ones that I purchased. Avas have a policy where they are supposed to contact you if they do not have what you ordered which never happened. I called after their 24 hour time limit policy so they told me that the only thing they could do was give me 10% back off of my subtotal which was $5.19. My total purchase was almost $80. I was told that after they contacted their subcontractor they would give me a call back in 24 hrs which never happened and even after I gave them 48 hrs still no call... When I expressed how embarrassed I was, the service department said they’d exchange the old for a new bouquet but never showed up using an excuse that no one was home or they couldn’t find the delivery address which was bull because this aunt was on the lookout for them.     My husband ordered me a flower arrangement that cost him $130. It was to be delivered to my job at La Jolla on our special day, Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, the flowers never arrived. He called AVAS Florist several times that afternoon when he found out I didn't get flowers. It was impossible to get a live person on the phone, they only answer when you are placing an order to take your money, but after you placed the order, they transferred you to a machine.     I purchased flowers on a Thursday to be delivered next day, Friday and paid for priority delivery before 1:00pm. Avas Flowers never delivered flowers, because local contracted floral site via Avas Flowers did not have the arrangement listed on Avas Flowers' website. I agreed to have the flowers delivered the next day, Saturday prior to 3:00, flowers not delivered again, call Avas and got the runaround. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY FLOWERS FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!

    I was just sending flowers to a person who had lost their son. I saw some beautiful spring flower and noticed several things - NO DELIVERY FEE blinking in the background - Another area on top said - put in this code — ** — for 42% off. I thought, well, that’s nice - kind of different and unbelievable but I can send a bigger, nicer bouquet with those 2 discounts. So, I merrily went through the process and found the most gorgeous flowers - filled out all the info, the recipient, my info and the handwritten card, then all my credit card info. I put in the code... And it comes up with an amount almost as much as the flowers says ‘delivery and other services’ - it basically doubled the amount of the flowers.

    But, I was tired and didn’t want to go back through it all again so went to push COMPLETE ORDER but then another little box popped up before you could complete your order which was I agree with terms of service. Once you check THAT box then you can COMPLETE ORDER... Drum roll... Guess what??? Another big box opens and says that you can’t send those flowers to that area. (Going to Boston - not a small place to find!) It say to push another box to find different flowers!!! I push that box - nothing happens - no flowers - nothing. I go back to the beginning and look for a phone number - nothing anywhere - just gorgeous pictures of fake flowers.

    I find a box that says MODIFY your order, and I think, Thank God, I can go to a place and cancel the whole thing. I push MODIFY YOUR ORDER... And the next big box that pops up is YOU CANT CAN’T CANCEL YOUR ORDER!!! Seriously!!! This is insane. I thought I was in a bad B horror movie! I finally found a phone number on a different web page that says they are open 24/7. I called it. Guess what? They’re closed. I can’t believe this is a real site. It showed up in my news feed and I thought their flowers were beautiful. But - it’s all fake. Please don’t waste your money or time. Nothing - NOTHING is honest on their website. I’ve reported them to the Better Business Bureau and there are a great number of similar complaints there about this outfit. Have a good day - all of you reading this - but not a good day to slimeballs like Avas Flowers who deliberately deceive people.

    I tried to use the Avas website to order some flowers. After picking a bouquet, I'd hit "continue" only to get "Page not found". The "Contact" button it did not work. After trying to order two different bouquets, and getting the same message, I used the telephone. An e-mail, sent by Brian **, asked about my dissatisfaction. My details were specific. Some time later, I tried the website again only to get the same "Page not found" message and a contact button that did not work. This time I called and got a supervisor who promised that he would contact the IT Department. Today, I tried a third time and got as far as the checkout message before getting the "Page not found" message and a contact button that did not work. Avas Flowers are beautiful and their prices are approximately in line. Their IT Department sloppiness negates the good work of all the other departments. They will no longer worry about getting my business.

Then I get the breakdown of what my card was charged. $52.99 of the flowers, $2.99 FOR THE CARD with a short message and who they were from, $9.99 delivery charge DESPITE THE FREE DELIVERY post and $15.95 SERVICE & HANDLING FEE - WHAT?     I placed an order early morning for same day delivery. At 4:30 pm I selected the link in my email to check status of the delivery. I received "Your order is scheduled for delivery today". I opted out to speak to someone. I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes. The girls returned and answered the phone as if I had just called. When I said, "You have had me on hold checking status of my order." She said, "Oh yes Sandra. Hold just a moment." She returned and said my order was out for delivery and as soon as she had an update she would call me back. The next morning I called to make sure that was processed. This person tried to "make a deal with me". He said, "We can give you a credit for the full amount plus an additional $20. We can call the person who was receiving the flowers and ask them when they will be home next to make a delivery." I said, "NO you will NOT call them. It was a surprise! I just want my money back." He again tried to make deals with me and I refused.

    He said, "We because YOU are cancelling we cannot refund the $24.95 handling and processing fee." I said, "Yes you will. You didn't handle any flowers! I was told my arrangement was never even made." He placed me on hold and returned and claimed I would receive a full refund in 10 business days. It's funny, they took my money same day! We will see if I actually receive a full refund. I will NEVER use Avas Flowers again.

    The flowers advertised and ordered for my friends birthday were completely different from the flowers she received. They were also of poor quality and even the vase was wrong.     I order flowers for same-day delivery, using Avas Flowers. However, two days later, I'm still waiting for them to be delivered. When I called the company to complain, they said that there was text on my invoice saying that it was out for "flex delivery," meaning it would be delivered up to 2 days late. However, this text was not clear and was very easy to miss. In all other parts of my invoice (and on their website), my order said same-day delivery. I will not be using them again. Moreover, the service charge was almost as expensive as the bouquet itself! Not worth the money at all.

On Monday afternoon I took a call and was informed the delivery was NOT made on March 24 because they could not find the address. I called my son who called them back with instructions.     Worst experience ever. To some people this might be silly but the family Pet died. I couldn’t be there so I googled same day florist. This was the first one that I came up. I called to place my order to ensure that the arrangement I wanted was available. I asked if it was. I was told, “Yes.” They had all the flowers in stock. Couple hours later I got a phone call asking if they could swap colors on some other flowers from orange to yellow. I said, “Yes.” They could swap colors. I also asked if they would be delivered. I was put on hold so they could check with the driver. They said they would see if they could catch the recipient at home. I said, “It’s fine. You can leave them on the porch.” I was told, “OK.”

    Do NOT ever use them. They advertise same day delivery if placed by 1 pm. I placed an order at 10 am for my twin girls for their 20th birthday because they are away at college totaling $170. They do not contact me until 1:30 saying it will be delivered Monday which I immediately canceled the order. Also, there is a language barrier because his English is not good which takes the conversation even longer, and keep in mind I still have to get off the phone and get online and find someone else who can do their job better. But oh wait... they want to charge me a $15 service fee since I am canceling a same day delivery order that they can't deliver for another 2 days.

    I demanded to speak to a manager and of course all I kept being told was it's just their system and he cannot deduct the charge or allow me to speak to anyone. It was not delivered by 5PM and is now 5:30PM. The funeral is only 3 hours so it seems like they scammed us. We did not even get the flowers. I called to ask to speak to a manager.     I do not live in Fayetteville and needed to order sympathy flowers for a friend who recently lost a loved one. I searched florists in Fayetteville and Avas Flowers came up first in my search and presents itself as being local. I searched the website and it presents same day fresh and discounted flowers. I placed my order and during the online order process discovered at the end they don't charge for shipping but they charge a service and handling fee of $15 and also a $2.99 gift card fee. Neither of which are clearly stated.

    I went ahead and placed the $60 order believing if the fresh flowers were coming from a local florist and look as good as the picture that it would be worth it. The flowers arrived and were sparse, the roses were brown and it just was not what the website presented it to be. The card attached wasn't even from Avas Flowers. I will never order from this online fraud again and hope that Consumer Affairs does something to expose their deception. I was disappointed and sad that my effort to encourage a friend during her time of grief seemed less than what I set out to accomplish.

    On Thursday 3/15/2018 I ordered a flower arrangement for my wife who works evening at a retail location. After calling 4 Groupon offers (different florists) and told me they could not deliver after 6pm, I found this company. First thing I asked was if they could deliver after 6:30pm because my wife works from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. They said "YES". In fact the order taker said, “Hhow about 7 PM”. I said perfect. I placed the order which was surprisingly much higher costs. The order was I believe either $54 or $59. After all said and done. It came to $84.92. I asked, "Why so much when you offer free delivery." She said there's a service fee. She said it's standard fee that every place charges. I haven't ordered flowers in a long time so maybe she was right, but then again the online website says it's 45% off + free delivery and additional 10% off. Let me say that this arrangement was NOT even remotely worth the $125 plus their service fee had it not been discounted!

    That evening my wife called me at 10pm and was all excited she got flowers at her work. I was like "I just got them now?" She said it was delivered to her work before she arrived at around 5 or 530pm. Due to she's not in yet, the manager put it in the office and forgot about it and realized after around 10pm. I called first thing Monday morning and spoke to the manager by the name of Albert. OMG, the rudest customer service manager I've ever dealt with in my life. I told him what happened. I told him it was very important for me to have it delivered after 6:30pm. That's why I chose them rather than use Groupon that would have been cheaper. He said first they cannot guarantee and it was delivered before the requested time. I told him over and over, I needed after 6:30pm and the lady who took my order said they can guarantee that. I even told him to play back the recording of the conversation during the order. He wasn't listening at all.

    He then said, "We have the name of the place to be delivered to and the address and they did just that." What the employee did after it was delivered did with it and kept it in the office till 10pm was not their problem. I said, "You had a person name on the delivery and that person wasn't there. I didn't request to order flower to a drop off location, I asked to be deliver to a person on the order." I said, "If I ordered pizza to be delivered to my home after 630 when I got home from work and your company delivered it at 5pm, would you just hand it to whomever?" He said, "That’s different!" I asked to speak to his manager. He said he's the only manager right now on the floor. I asked who can I speak with tomorrow or the next day? He said he can't give me this information. Additionally he said all complaints needs to be done within 24hrs. His answers made my blood boils. I just hung up! I would never recommend anyone to order anything from this place.

There is no Uncle Bud in the family or any friends. I called to see if I could figure out what happened but they first accused the funeral home of the mix up or discarding the card.     Dreadful company. We ordered flowers to arrive at my grandparents' home the next day where my family was holding vigil as my grandpa died. The day of scheduled delivery they called to say that my bouquet "just so happened to have been left in their truck" and would be delivered the next day instead.     Wanted to call local flower shop in Concord NH area to send flowers to my aunt for her birthday. Called Avas as it appeared to be local. Ordered flowers for SAME DAY DELIVERY as they stated that they would be able to do. Should have been smart when they wanted to charge for a birthday card that they were not a good business to deal with but I was in a rush and ordered anyway. When I left to pick up my daughter at school they called my house claiming there was a problem. The number the woman gave was different than the number popping up on my phone. Since I could not make out her number after many attempts, I called the number that popped up and it was not in service.

    So I called the 888-599-0371 that was listed on the website. When I called they said they could not deliver that day and wanted to charge an extra $4.00 for the order. When I tried to find out why the extra charge on an already placed order, no adequate explanation was given. Furthermore when I said I needed it to be delivered that day and since they could not I wanted to cancel. They gave me a hard time. About 20 minutes of telling them I want to cancel and them not accepting it they finally put me on hold for another 20 minutes and then came back saying they would cancel but charge for a cancellation fee! Imagine charging when they totally cannot deliver what they promise! I asked to send confirmation to my e-mail of the cancellation and they never did.

    Being now totally upset that I ever called these people I called my credit card to find out that they not only did not cancel but charged me again for the flowers! Over $100.00 for flowers never delivered. Tried several times calling but what to my surprise you cannot get through!!! They say they will call back but do not!

    On March 13, 2018 I located (what I thought) was a LOCAL florist as it was advertised they were in Whitewater, WI. I wanted to order an arrangement and a few balloons for a relative's birthday. The Avas Flowers' rep took FOREVER on this call - he was PAINFULLY SLOW! He kept apologizing like he didn't know what he was doing and apologize for the long delay. He kept asking me the same questions over and over. I tried to be patient but the call went in this order AS DIRECTED by the Avas Flowers' rep: 1) My name & Email Address. 2) Where the arrangement was to be delivered. 3) What type of arrangement I wanted (including a plant and 5 Mylar balloons). 4) What I wanted to put on the card that accompanies the delivery. 5) My credit card #, exp and 3 digit code on the back. 6) My billing address.

    The conversation continued (again PAINFULLY SLOW!) FRAUD! They charged my credit card $77.51 - That amount was never discussed, I never authorized it and I canceled the order during the ONE AND ONLY CALL! The rep took it upon himself to process the order! I called 28 min later, as I got notification from my email that the order was processed! I was LIVID! I called Avas Flowers back, and was told they could not cancel the order as it was a same day delivery! I explained that I canceled the order before I hung up the call! They put me on hold, to listen to the call. The gentlemen came back and said "We aren't allowed to record the credit card info or any of the conversation that followed after" - CONVENIENT REALLY?? So they can't hear me cancel the order, and oh well? I DON'T THINK SO! I had to call my MasterCard company to dispute this payment!

    I've had over 18 conversations between emails back and forth (each time with a different representative) - and now TWO conversations on the phone when they are NOW CALLING TO HARASS me telling me the same thing! They can't issue a refund because the arrangement/balloons were delivered! They wouldn't have been delivered if the rep on the call would have CANCELED MY ORDER - this is fraud! They have really messed my money up, and this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! As I am typing this I just got another call by someone by the name of Donte, telling ME THE SAME DAMN THING!

    At least give me a credit for the $27.51 - since MY BUDGET was $50. By the way - They are not local! They list themselves as being in Whitewater, WI - THEY ARE IN NEW JERSEY with some snotty ** people who want to argue and harass me! I'm disgusted with the way they have treated me!     I am so upset, my sister who I haven't seen in a year, turned 41, I was really wanting to surprise her for her birthday, so I picked out a specific bouquet with her favorite colors, a box of gourmet chocolates and a card to be delivered the day after her birthday, since they are closed Sundays. As soon as she got the delivery she messaged me to tell me how pretty her flowers were, and when I asked if she liked her chocolates, she was confused.

So she put me on hold again for another 17 minutes, when she came back, I was told that since a refund had been issued, there was nothing they could do about sending the items back out to her, when I told them to go ahead and charge me again, I just want her birthday to be special, but they said, “I'm so sorry ma'am, nothing I can do, stay on hold and take a brief survey”...     Ordered a floral arrangement for my mother on March 8, 2018. Website said same day delivery all over it. Plus up to 45% of some items and free shipping. Received the invoice which charged an additional $15.95 for handling fees. Then the invoice said the delivery may not occur on Saturday as I had requested. So much for guaranteed delivery. I then received an e-mail which notified the flowers had been delivered. I called my mom who said the flowers never arrived. Called Avas Flowers back. Was told the delivery person knocked on the door but received no answer.

    Delivery person said they left a voice mail. I called on Sunday and was given the same info. Called my mom who told me no one had been at the residence for the last 2 days, that she was home both days. Her caretaker verified the info. further stating they didn't receive any phone call or messages from the flower company. Monday 3-12, I called Avas Flowers again. The rep. told me he contacted the flowers arrangers, that my order was being prepared and would be delivered this afternoon. When I asked what happened to the first order the rep. couldn't give me an answer.

    Thought about it for a while and called back to cancel the order. Rep. said the other rep. wasn't correct, that the flower arrangers never received a call from the rep. (another lie). Rep. said I couldn't cancel the order since it was on the truck (rep. couldn't verify this). Rep. then told me I could cancel the order but it would cost $15.95 to cancel something that never arrived. So I guess I was scammed. Do not purchase anything from this outfit.

    Ordered the “Deluxe Luxury" upgrade for a floral arrangement for a friend in Wisconsin. The flowers delivered were a grocery store quality arrangement. Stems just stuck in a vase nowhere near the advertised photo. There was no “arrangement”. My children gave me prettier bouquets when they were little. Certainly not worth the $85 I paid. I contacted the company asking for an explanation. Certainly there had been a mistake. This wasn't $85 worth of flowers. Perhaps they sent a normal arrangement by mistake. I have received three condescending emails. The first asking me for a picture of “this beautiful arrangement”. Their words, certainly not mine. The second basically said “sorry you're unhappy with this lovely arrangement” (again their word not mine) but too damn bad.

    See the two pictures of what I thought I ordered and what my friend received. I ordered a $50 bouquet which was loaded with colors and at least four types of flowers. What we go looks like a $10 hospital gift shop arrangement. It came with 3 roses and two stems of cheap filler flowers. When I sent pictures to complain they said it met "standards for substitution." When I complained more they said they were sorry for my dissatisfaction and offered a $10 in store credit. I will NEVER use them again and I hope you don't get taken for the same scam of advertising a beautiful product and then switching it out for a cheaper version to increase their profit margins. Received an email stating they could not fulfill my ordered and they would be upgrading me to 2 dozen roses and candy for my inconvenience. I called and asked the agent to not send candy since the recipient could not eat and I wanted something comparable to what I ordered.

    They said they would send something comparable and give me a 10% discount for my inconvenience and if they could not find something comparable they would send the 2 dozen roses as stated in the email.     When ordering flowers for my mother in law, I purchased an $80 arrangement with express delivery (delivery before 12 pm that day). I first had to call because the flowers did not arrive. The flowers arrived the following day. The order received looked nothing close to the flower arrangement showed online.     I had a very poor experience with this company and I take partial blame - I should have researched the reviews other than what they have posted on their site. They have many many terrible reviews! I ordered an Elegant Bliss Basket (which you can find on their website) for my uncle's funeral. I know that most florists reserve the right to substitute so I made it clear to the person taking the order to please NOT send a Peace Lily if there was any substitution because I do not like them and therefore do not want to pay for one. If it was in a mixed basket with other plants/flowers would be the only way I could tolerate it. What did they send? A nonblooming tired looking Peace Lily!!! Not a mixed basket. Just the Peace Lily.

    I called as I was very upset about it. Completely substituting my order like that did not make me happy. I take substitution to mean that they may not have the exact same plants to use in my mixed arrangement but would make it as similar as possible - this was nowhere close! I complained to the company by calling and speaking to one of their "caring" employees who told me to send an email which I did twice. They never responded. I would highly recommend that you use one of the local florists in the same town as the funeral rather than one of these "45% discount" internet companies - just my 2 cents. Most of them care about their reputations... This one does not!

    I used Avas to order sympathy flowers on March 3rd, 2018 based on their ad saying SAME DAY delivery. The flowers were for family members who had gathered from miles away to be with their dying parent. Upon the death, they decided to hold a family memorial service since they were all together so thus the urgency for flower delivery from us who were 1000 miles away. On the email confirmation from Avas, there was a tracking button which provided info: March 3, “out for delivery” which later added “waiting for driver delivery confirmation”. March 4: “redelivery” then added later “waiting for driver confirmation”. BTW, some family members were in the home both days. At noon, I called and asked assurance the flowers were being delivered, Mellissa to check and call me back. No call back so called again at 3:45, Iva to check and call back. Again no callback, called Jake at 5:30 and said cancel the order which had still not arrived.

    He said local florist had not responded so it could not be cancelled but she/he would probably take care of it tomorrow by tracking the flowers Or redoing them. Told Jake, who was nice, that I did not want an arrangement that had traveled around in a van all weekend lost if there ever was one, and delivery tomorrow would do no good since family was dispersing and flying home. So, Avas Flowers turned a simple act of trying to pay respect to a family in sorrow into A nightmare compounded by their lack of follow through to me, the customer, and total disregard to its own advertisement of same day delivery... not to mention the embarrassment we feel to the family who thinks we did not care enough to acknowledge their grief. My advice: deal with any other 1-800 flower service! At least, they are honest: FTD has Sat and Sun delivery blocked out and Teleflora called to say they were unable to arrange Sat delivery with a local florist.

So I ordered an arrangement of pink and purple flowers with a green vase.     I too was sucked into thinking I was ordering from a local Florida florist. I was very specific about what I wanted since my Mother has macular degeneration and can only see specific colors, red, yellow and orange. She received blue and purple flowers which is what I specifically asked NOT to have. So what she sees is a bouquet of grey flowers.

    I bought a Sympathy Bouquet of flowers from Avas Flowers, for my niece's funeral home and it showed up totally not like the picture, for $92 you would think that it would have been a nice arrangement, it was horrible!!! I have called Avas Flowers, emailed them, sent a comparison picture side by side, to show how horrible they are and all I did for the past week was get harassed by them stating, "Well that's what the "recipe" you ordered"- I did not order a recipe, I ordered a well-rounded bouquet of flowers! All they kept saying was, we see that it's fine, I was so appalled and then they offered to put a lousy $5 back into my bank account.

    I was looking for a local florist in Durham, NH. I placed an order online via Avas Flowers due to their claim that they are local. I called after placing the order to talk about the details of the flower arrangement, and discovered that they are not local at all. I asked for the phone number of the flower shop that would be creating the arrangement, spoke with them, and decided to place my order directly with them.

    We all order flowers a few times a year, so it probably represents a very valued consumer need. If there was a funeral. Would you want your flowers sent the day AFTER the funeral? Well, for me. It was Valentine's Day 2018. I called AVAS the DAY BEFORE VALENTINES DAY (February 13, 2018). I specifically said that it was imperative to have the flowers sent THAT DAY! Well the manager called me later in the afternoon and APOLOGIZED, he had gotten busy. Was there any way they could deliver it the next morning. I tried to be flexible and nice, so I said it was okay one ONE CONDITION: THAT MY DELIVERY WAS ON THE FIRST TRUCK DELIVERING ON VALENTINE'S DAY. He thanked me and promised me that they would be on that first truck.

    To anyone who reads this; would that break your heart if you have (or had) child. No price could replace that disappointment she felt. But the worst if it is that I called them 4 TIMES!     I was on the Avas website ordering flowers on February 26th for my Granddaughter's 21st birthday tomorrow February 27th, The website advertised a sale with 45% off, free delivery, and an extra 15% off with a code. I wanted a 21st birthday balloon so I called their number and asked if they had 21st birthday balloons and they said yes. I was going to go back to the website, but the salesperson said that he could do it for me. My items were flowers at $41.99, the balloon at $6.99 and a card at $3,99. Total was $52.97. I was told that they would e-mail an invoice and when I received, there was nothing itemized with prices and a flat $73.49 charge. No explanation. I called their number and spoke to someone who deliberately acted like he didn't understand the reason for my call acting confused as to what I was inquiring about.

    Finally after at least 5 minutes of me holding on and waiting for his return, he said that he would remove the service charge and send me a corrected invoice.     Ordered flowers 2/24, Saturday, AM, website stated SAME DAY DELIVERY, flowers were not delivered until Monday 2/26. I text after flowers were not received on Sunday and received response that driver was out to make delivery but had not confirmed that he delivered them, I called Monday wanting a refund and they only offered a 10% discount, stating they don't deliver on Sundays, that was not on website. Services were in Porterdale, I specifically searched for a florist on Porterdale and was given Avas Flowers in Porterdale, DO NOT ORDER FROM Avas, they ruined the service by not delivering as on website. Terrible service filing disputes with credit card to stop payment.

    I placed an order for a Funeral, and it was supposed to be free shipping but the bill had a handling fee of $15.95, so right off the bat that was false advertising. When I questioned them about it they had a million excuses, and told me I was still getting a great deal. Then the purchase I did make out of desperation, I needed it ASAP. It was a "Same day Delivery" purchase according to their website. It was supposed to be delivered before 12:00 PM on 2/23/18. They contacted me on 2/23/18 in the evening to tell me my order couldn't be delivered, and it would be delivered on Tuesday 2/27/18. I explained that this isn't acceptable. It's for a funeral, and I asked that they cancel my order. They refused to cancel my order. I repeatedly asked why can't you cancel it, and all they could say was, "I just can't." No explanation. They also would not let me speak to a supervisor. Horrible company. Never again!

    I ordered overpriced flowers to be delivered to a friend of mine in Oregon. I live in Illinois. Ordered them online with the CORRECT address and APARTMENT number (I have the printed receipt to prove it) and as of today, Tuesday, THEY ARE STILL NOT THERE. Since Friday, they have lied, came up with poor excuses and after calling several times, no results. One of the excuses was that the local florist who apparently produces these flowers, well, it is their fault. Ok? Give me their number and let me resolve this with them. No can do. Apparently these business want to remain anonymous. That is a first and truthfully, I don't blame them. I would not want anyone to know me or my business if the service is this bad. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE if you actually want to have flowers delivered on time. By the way, you can't cancel your order either. According to Customer Service, they are not allowed to do that...

    Used Avas because they had good reviews on their page (which are phony) and they appeared to be local (they’re not!). I received no invoice or e-mail confirmation. I had no way of knowing if flowers arrived, & the flowers were not delivered in a vase with clear wrap, they were in a brown box! Just what your wife/girlfriend, etc., doesn’t want! I will never use them again! They could care less that I was dissatisfied!

    Placed an order for flowers and within 10 minutes received an email that they would not be delivered on that day and this was on a Friday. They stated they could deliver the flowers on the following Monday. I immediately tried to cancel the order which was completely impossible. They never delivered the flowers. They charged my credit card plus an additional $16 that was not discussed on the website. Almost $100 and no flowers. I have contacted American Express and they are filing a claim against the company. Do not use this company. It’s a sham and a scam. They are not a locally around United States company. When you call the number, these are barely English-speaking telephone operators.

    I was looking to send flowers to a friend in the hospital that is out of state. I looked up "local" florists for her city and state and Avas flowers came up. LIE #1. They are NOT a local florist! I even asked the guy if he was close to "the hospital" and he said "yes". I also mentioned to him that the website said there was a code for free delivery, But that I could not order from the website as I was not sure of the exact address. And asked if I could use the code for free delivery on the phone and get free delivery. He said "yes". I went through the ordering process and when it came to the end and I gave my CC # he gave me a total (which was the flowers I ordered. Even ordering the deluxe version as I was not going to have to pay delivery charge). I then headed to work.

    When I got to work I checked my e-mail and had an alert for use of CC over phone. When I opened it, the amount was almost $20 more than the total I was given... I immediately called Avas and was told that was a delivery fee. I said I was told 1) I could use code for free delivery and 2) the total I was quoted was not what was charged. I asked to speak to a manager that was rude and I explained the situation whereupon they said they would have to review the "recording of the phone call" and I said, "GREAT!!" When they came back they said that I was not told that I could use code and the price given was just the flowers. Knowing at this point they were not only lying but dishonest as anytime I have ordered anything over the phone. They tell you the total that will be charged to your account, not a total that they are going to add more on to.

    I asked to have the order canceled and my $ returned. They said they could not do that (even though it had been less than an hour since the order was placed and had not even begun to be filled). Bottom line... They have questionable advertisement (very misleading). They scammed me out of $20 and refused to cancel my order even though it had not been processed yet. The people are rude and do not care that they stole from me and they are liars!! I know what was said and I have filed a grievance with my CC company, who I hope will get to hear the recording so the truth will come out. This is not a good company!!

    I ordered these flowers online the day before my aunts funeral. I made sure I got it in on time and when I called the next day to find out if they had delivered them they informed me that they couldn’t do it because they couldn’t find anybody in the town that the funeral was at to have the flowers done. I am so disgusted because I could not get up to my aunt's funeral because of the roads and the weather so I wanted to at least have something from my kids and myself at the funeral and they couldn’t even do that. All they could say was, "We are sorry. We can have it delivered to her home." Really. She just passed away you idiots. Do not order from these people. You will regret it. They are the worst!!!

    I found this website that said they could deliver that same day so I decided to order through them for my mom's bday. The order total came to $38 And I completed the checkout and then on got my paid invoice which there had been an additional charge for service and handling for $15.95 but it didn't say that before I completed the checkout. I called them and told them they have unethical business practices and they argued with me. Then a few hours later I got an email saying they won't deliver that day but the next. I called them back and said I want it delivered today as promised. They didn't care at all when I called to complain. They said they already waived the $15.95 fee and that was good enough. Lastly, my mom got her delivery the next morning and it looks nothing like I ordered. This place is a scam and I'll be calling my bank. I have attached pictures of what I ordered and what my mom received.

    On 2/17/18 I ordered and paid $81.13 online to Avas Flowers for an all white sympathy arrangement to be delivered on the same day. I was called back saying they did not have the exact flowers, but would offer something of "equal or greater value." I agreed. Then they stated that they could not deliver the arrangement that day. Below are photos of what I paid for and what was received. How does a floral designer substitute red roses and purple flowers on an all white sympathy arrangement? It looked like a cheap grocery store bouquet, not a $69 arrangement that was ordered not to mention a $15 same day delivery charge that was not honored. Customer service was rude and unwilling to resolve the issue except for a 10% credit which was not acceptable.

    I ordered 8 stem "Birds of Paradise" for my elderly aunt in Connecticut. They were delivered but after 2 weeks & 3 weeks they never opened and now just beginning to shrivel without opening. I called Avas and told them and said I would give it one more week, still nothing. 21 days later called to ask for a NEW delivery for better customer service, they refused unless they delivered the same flowers.     I placed an order for a particular flower arrangement to be delivered on a certain day and time. I was told I would receive a notification when the delivery was made. I never received a notification so I called the company to find out why my arrangement wasn't delivered. The very rude customer service rep told me there was a problem with getting my flowers and that they would "try" to deliver on the next business day. I asked why they didn't call and tell me earlier so that I could have had time to either change my order or cancel and call a different florist. He had no answer for me and said he didn't know. I told him that since they did not fulfill their end and did not deliver my flowers, as promised, that I would like to cancel my order as I no longer needed flowers to arrive a day late for a special occasion.

    He told me that was insulting and that he could not cancel my order but he would give me $10 credit on a future purchase. I told him I would never be using this company again and I wanted my money back, and then he hung up on me. I called back several times and was put on hold for over 20 minutes each time and then they disconnected the line. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges but as of now I am still waiting... flowers were never delivered. I later found out there is a whole Facebook page dedicated to warning customers to not use Avas Flowers (the page is called Avas Flowers is a Scam). And that there are hundreds of people who have had similar experiences.

    I chose Avas Flowers specifically because I like to support family-owned businesses. I found them online, but didn't place an order online – instead I called to discuss floral options with a salesperson. This was a very special, very important arrangement for a cancer patient. I wanted the biggest, brightest bouquet of carnations (the recipient's favorite flower) that I could buy for my budget. I even asked if we could forego the vase in order to afford more carnations in the arrangement (and have them wrapped in paper or plastic).

    After putting me on hold, Tony the customer service rep told me an arrangement could be made with 30 brightly colored carnations and they could also be put in a vase for $64. He continued to ask detailed questions during the ordering: what color ribbon (Tony suggested silver) plus what time should it arrive, and a phone number to contact me with any questions. When I asked if it could be an afternoon delivery (so it would not wake the ailing recipient) Tony put me on hold to inquire, and came back on the line to tell me yes. I was thrilled. 30 brightly colored carnations in a vase with a silver bow to be delivered between 3-4pm. Instead 13 carnations in a vase with a yellow bow was delivered at 11:50am.

    I do not understand why Avas asked so many specific questions during the ordering process only to have those details completely disregarded. Why was I not contacted about the change in delivery time to make sure someone was home to receive the arrangement 3 hours earlier than scheduled? If a silver bow was not available, I don't understand why I was not contacted to ask for a 2nd choice. And 13 carnations? For $64?

    I called Avas Flowers and told customer service representative Maria, “There’s been a terrible mistake.” Maria said she could tell by looking at the order that something went wrong. She asked me to email a photo of the delivered arrangement to Avas Flowers. Later I received an email response from Nelson **: “After reviewing your photo and the recipe of this particular arrangement all flowers are represented accordingly. Therefore, your order has been approved and meets the Product Description.” He sent his regrets and a coupon for $10 off my next order. Next order?!

    When we placed this order on Friday, 2/16, we were told that it would be delivered on Saturday 2/17 by 11 am without a problem. There was no hesitation in placing our order. There were plenty of other flower shops to choose from, but we were confident that Avas Flowers would be the perfect fit. We ordered a large red and white floral spray ($197.90 was our final total). These flowers were ordered for a very dear family friend's memorial service. We couldn't make the service due to being out of state and having other obligations, but we wanted to be sure our family sent our condolences with a beautiful arrangement.

    After I placed the order with the representative over the phone, I reviewed the receipt that was emailed to us. I had to fix the entire sympathy card, as it had multiple errors. However, I simply chalked that up to "Maybe she couldn't hear me very well over the phone". Although, she should've read it back to me so I could tell her how wrong it was. Saturday morning rolled around. We live in California and the flowers were to be delivered in Alabama. At 8:40 PST (10:40 in Alabama), I received a text message that read "URGENT: Please contact AVAS FLOWERS @ 877-638-6619 about your order..." I called at 8:40 because I was holding my phone when that text came in.

    "Avas Flowers, can I have your order number please?" I gave them the order number. "Ok, thank you. How can I help you?" I told them that they just sent me a text message saying that it was urgent that I called. They told me to hold. When they came back on the line, they informed me that they could not fulfill my order because they were "out of red flowers due to Valentine's Day earlier that week." Really? Then she offered to have the flowers delivered to an alternate address next week. I was extremely upset and told her I'd call her back.

    You're going to tell me that you didn't know that you didn't have enough flowers with only 20 min left to spare? Not only that, but there were smaller versions of the order that I placed and they couldn't make that? They had to have known that prior to 20 minutes before my flowers were supposed to be at the service. I called back at 9:03 am PST (11:03 am in Alabama). I pleaded, "Ok, the service doesn't start until 12 pm, is there any way you can just send over something smaller? Anything you guys have?"

    The man on the phone said "Ummm... I can see what we have.. maybe we have a plant we can send. If it's less than what your order was, we can just give you back the difference.. but if it's more, then that's ok." I was irritated. "Well, you're probably going to end up giving me some money back, unless you have $200 plants sitting around." He said he'd call me back. We hung up at 9:07 am PST.

    By 9:24, I hadn't heard back and I was just done. I called Avas Flowers back and requested that I just get my money back. They tried to offer me partial credit and to deliver the flowers next week to an alternate address, but I didn't have another address for them to be sent to and that wasn't the point. Then, they tried to give me store credit for future orders. Do you really think I'd EVER want to use them again for something important? Absolutely not. Finally, she agreed to a full refund. We'll see how long it takes to get my money back. This was my first and LAST time attempting to do business with Avas Flowers.

    On 02-12-2018, I ordered TULIPS, which were listed as in stock on their website, for delivery 02-14. On 02-13, I received an email stating that my order was being changed to ROSES which I did NOT want. On 02-13, I called and emailed to cancel my order (I have phone logs and a copy of the email) - this was within their allowable cancellation period. Despite this, they delivered ROSES and refused to refund my purchase price. I explained to their billing department that I have copies of the email and phone logs, but they don't want to hear it. They state that their policy is that they can change color and style.

    However, they changed more than color and style - they changed the product. I looked at the BBB ratings and they are one of the very few companies with an F rating. It's evident from the Consumer Affairs site that many others have had serious problems as well. In my opinion, the reason they are reluctant to refund money to dissatisfied customers is that a large percentage of their customers are dissatisfied both with their product and with their service (or lack thereof).

We said, "Ok can you get them there an hr late?" After 20 minutes or more wasted they inform us they are out of flowers!!! They offer to send a plant instead! A PLANT!!!     We all learn from our mistakes and ordering from Avas was truly a big one. I was lured to their website as I earned points from a previous delivery but I could not use those points until I reached another level. Then I was pleased to see that my order would include “free delivery”... I didn’t notice the small faded print that stated taxes and other fees could apply. After I made my selection and got to the checkout there was a $16.95 charge for "shipping and handling," I should have stopped there but in need of this delivery on Valentine's Eve I pressed submit anyway. My total was nearly $92 and I had upgraded my order of Roses and Carnations based on the picture provided.

    With great anticipation the flowers were delivered the next day as promised (that’s the only good point) but I was very disappointed as the size of the bouquet was scrawny and small... Only 7 roses. Now one could go to the supermarket and get a dozen for $35. I immediately complained by calling Avas but the volume apparently so great they could only give you’ll a call back the next day! I followed with an email citing the smallness of the arrangement saying also I’d like the flowers returned and a full refund! They did respond awhile later with a canned response that my order was within the guidelines they had promoted and stated no alternative. Looking again at the website I find they state “all sales final” but amid that there is all kinds of wording about customer satisfaction. The whole platform is build on cheating the customer and deception. Don’t use Avas Flowers!

    I have never had such a hard time ordering flowers not only was I constantly put on hold to check and see if they could do blue vase, etc... It was a nightmare and to top it off it was not what I ordered. It look liked garbage and I paid 100 dollars. I wanted a blue. They gave me a clear. I wanted baby's breath and they gave me none. I can go on and on about how bad they were. Then I sent 4 emails with my phone number and finally got a email to contact them. I even sent a picture of how they didnt do what I asked and it looked like crap. This is not a family business. It's a online ordering. So instead of sending my sister the flowers I wanted they wanted to give me 10 percent on future order. I told them there will be no future order so no need to give that to me and that is all they would offer. DO NOT USE THEM.     I called to order flowers from MI. I thought I was calling a shop in Naples FL. After ordering, something just didn't seem right. I called to cancel and was placed on hold several times until the calls would time out. I was told I could not cancel the order ($75 for 10 tulip stems). It was for the next day, so I didn't understand why it could not be cancelled. It is a call center in New Jersey. I spent 75 minutes on different holds.     Nice flowers. Horrible customer service. I ordered tulips, they substituted roses. This did not work for me as my wife is allergic to roses, so she could NOT keep them. This was not a matter of choice as she had an immediate allergic reaction to them. The first representative I talked to offered me a 50% refund and would not budge on that. I asked for tulips when they became available – no. I asked for an alternate delivery of something else – no. She kept trying to quote policy from the website. She even suggested I was at fault for not notifying them in advance she was allergic to roses. I told her I was angry and that I would call back. So I reviewed the policy online and called back. The second representative also offered nothing to compensate me and finally I was forwarded to a supervisor. He asked me what was wrong with the roses I received.

    When I explained I had ordered tulips he told me I was wrong and his system shows I ordered roses. No matter how many times I asked for a full refund I was deflected and offered ‘something else’ to make me happy. Yes, I want a refund, “can’t do that” was the reply I kept getting. So how does it end? With a 50% refund (on the flowers, not the vase or the delivery of course) and a different, non-rose arrangement to be delivered. Am I happy? Of course not. Why should I be forced to pay for something I did not want nor order. Why should I have to compromise when the error was 100% theirs? Wait… doesn’t end there. Two days later, they are out of orchids and send my wife a substitute order... roses.

    I would not EVER recommend Avas Flowers or even order from them ever. I had ordered a bouquet of floral arrangements for a significant other on 2/13/18 and it said same day delivery and suppose to be delivered 2/14/18. Yet it wasn't delivered and said rescheduled for 2/15/18. Still wasn't delivered. I called them since 2/14/18 to ask about the status and they told me they had to get a hold of the designer and driver. Never had a response because apparently they didn't answer so the lady on the phone told me that she will call back to give me an update and she never did. Then today 2/16/18 which is 3 days later I called and they said the item was delivered but I said how when the school is closed.

    I told the lady today I called yesterday to tell you guys that the school is going to be closed Friday so I would need to update an address or something and she told me she would call me back but never did. Smh??? So I called one last time because I was fed up and finally after 2 days of not getting a hold of the driver and designer they finally got a hold of the designer and asked. Mind you I called twice today. The First Lady told me she is going to call the school and the school said that nothing was delivered. So I called and checked and same result. Moral of the story is never order online or by phone with them. Their customer service and processing SUCKS! It took me 3 days and still nothing. Smh.

The 2nd was Valentine's day flowers for my niece. Again, 4 days to deliver and nothing arrived. No call, no email. I called them and got "we were busy delivering other people's flowers" and "we'll get around to it". I asked the gentleman to return the $18.99 "shipping and handling fee since it was not delivered as promised. The request was refused. Avas Flowers is NOT a company that I would do any business with if you expect their "Satisfaction Guaranteed" promise and any delivery dates to be honored.

    I ordered flowers last week to be delivered by last Friday. The flowers were delivered but, to the wrong address. We called and were told that Avas would get a new arrangement (not the same one because they didn't have the flowers) but get a new arrangement out Saturday. This was not delivered. I didn't call the my friend till Tuesday to check on the flowers and found out they weren't delivered.

    Placed a complaint and have gotten nothing but the run around for nearly 48 hours and out nearly $70 and my friend still doesn't have flowers. Called 877-638-3303 today. Couldn't reach anyone unless I wanted to make a new order. Spoke with 2 customer service reps who were not helpful: Bianca and Joe and then finally got Kisinger who transferred me to Mary. After talking with Mary I'm hopeful my issue will be resolved but, I WILL WRITE another review by end of day if not. I not only want the flowers delivered but my money back at this point in time. Highly disappointed and feel Avas needs to close their doors.

    I am very disappointed with this flower company. My boyfriend tried to order red roses, chocolates, and balloons for me this Valentine’s Day and not only did they not arrive on Valentine’s Day but they were not even what he ordered. I received 12 yellow roses in a vase and a card that was not even written in complete English. This has caused a great deal of frustration and disappointment for me and my boyfriend. They denied our refund and have not done anything to reconcile this issue. Terrible flower company.

    I ordered flowers online. I have never had a problem ordering online. Flowers have always been pretty and on time. Well this time, they were on time but the flowers were dry and wilted and it wasn't the bouquet I requested. I know the actual selection is at the florist's discretion and what they have in inventory...but Sending dead and dying flowers and charging me over 100$ for it is not ok. The flowers were discolored, the few roses were wilted and if any of the flowers were touched or the vase moved, petal fell off. I called customer services and was on hold for an hour. When I finally spoke to someone I am put on hold again, they come back on the line and state they talked to the local florist she they claim to have use fresh flowers.

    I emailed them pics of the crap they sent my Partner for Valentine's day and I still have not heard from them. I offered to give the flowers back if they would just tell me who the local florist was and they refused. Any time I talk to customer services they claim they are contacting the local florist and waiting to resolve the issue. I don't even want another bouquet from them. I just want my money back. I have already called and talked to another florist to have another arrangement sent. Avas flowers completely messed up Valentine's day this year. The flowers looked like they picked up an arrangement that had already been sitting for a week on someone's desk. I would give a "0" rating if I could.

    Second time I used Avas and should have learned the first time! Both times I ordered flowers through Avas, they were not delivered on the day they promised to deliver them. The second time I even paid the extra for delivery before noon but they still were not delivered. It may be just a minor business thing for them, but it was a huge heartbreak for a 16 year old girl to be the only 1 not to get a valentine (especially when she really should have but Avas failed to provide a service that they promised and were paid for!). I should have learned when I had to explain on my anniversary why my wife didn't get her flowers, but now they screwed me over with my daughter. I will never use Avas again and will STRONGLY recommend to everyone to do the same.

    I ordered the day before Valentine's Day to have flowers delivered on Valentines' Day to an LA address. I received no email confirmation of my order but when I log into the website, it shows my order confirmation, etc. I called on the day of Valentine's Day at 4pm PST and the customer service associate told me that unfortunately the designer did not even prepare the flowers for me. She said she can't do refunds because it's on a "holiday" and it will be delivered February 16th.

    I asked her to send me an email with that information before I get off the phone and for me to speak to the manager. She said manager is not available but she will put me through customer complaints and hung up. I tried calling again, and the answering service picked up on my number and order and responded with "we will get back to you" and hung up. I am yet to hear from the Manager and receive an email update. I would not recommend ordering from this company. They are a scam. Their customer service policy is the worst I've heard in my life and I have had 13 years of customer service experience.

    I ordered 12 red and 12 white Roses on February 9 to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. However, the morning of, I received an email in my spam folder that said that the flowers would not be able to be delivered because they did not have any white flowers in stock (Maybe have some extras for the busiest day of the year for flowers). After I called, they told me that they had changed my flower order and it would be delivered at the recipient’s office sometime that day. Around 3:00, I called Avas Flowers and was told that my order would not be able to be delivered on Valentine’s Day, however they could offer me free shipping for sometime on February 15 (I already had free shipping on the order). Then the person I spoke with backtracked and guaranteed me it would be delivered by 5:00. 5:15 comes around and still no flowers.

    I call again and was told that the flowers would be delivered by 7:00 (she leaves the office at 5:30). I call and speak with the supervisor and she said “don’t worry, they will be delivered with no delivery costs on February 15 between 9 and 7.” Wonderful. I called to cancel the flowers and they said they couldn’t cancel because the flowers were already set out for delivery. How can something be out for delivery when they told me it wouldn’t be delivered until the following day. THE WORST COMPANY EVER. DO NOT USE. I saw other reviews of how terrible the business is and still tried my luck. Best of luck to any of you using this because it will most likely end with you convincing the other person that you ordered flowers but they never showed up.

He called them and they said they can deliver up to 2 days before or 2 days after. So they were supposed to send more on Valentine's Day due to the flowers did not look fresh and they told him they would be delivered within 30 min when he contacted them about the delivery.     Avas Flowers is a horrible company. The website leads you to believe they make deliveries ON TO an Air Force Base when in actuality they can't get past the front gate. Then trying to verify anything or get any form of support is impossible. It's 2018 and they can't respond to an online chat message and their phone system is a joke. You can't hear the person on the other end ever. The best part is when you are finally frustrated and just want to cancel the order, NOPE SORRY they don't allow that.

    I ordered flowers on Valentine's Day 2017 and paid for expedited delivery because it was only a day or so before Valentine's Day. The company guaranteed that the flowers would be delivered by 1pm but could possibly be on Feb. 15th, which was not ideal but went ahead with the order. They did not deliver on Valentine's Day nor the day after. I was completely irate and demanded a refund. You find out AFTER you place the order that orders placed within 4 days of Valentines Day may not be delivered until up 4 days after the holiday, when they send you the confirmation email. What's the point of receiving Valentine's flowers 4 days later? Why allow people to pay for expedited shipping? I received a refund but the damage was done. I would not recommend this company, especially around big holidays like V- Day.

    I first dealt with this company years ago. They delivered half dead flowers and the rest were ugly. They were supposed to replace them, then came back and said UPS wouldn't deliver or some odd story. Last year, my daughter-in-law ordered flowers. I sent a text showing her what came and she said they were not what she'd ordered. They came from a grocery store in my town - not even a florist. Upon canceling my order they were informing me that they will give me a refund on the flowers but will charge me $18.xx for a service fee that was not mentioned in their policy on their website. I have reached out to the manager and he told me that it was there but upon researching their customer service policies on cancellation it doesn't mention anything about being charged for a service fee even if you cancel within 4 days of Valentine which I cancelled about an hour after placing an order more than 24 hours before Valentine's day.     I should have done a search for AVAS FLOWERS before we went through this exercise... My wife and I ordered a large spray of flowers to be delivered to the funeral of her Aunt. We received an email confirming the order, but the content of the card and the delivery time were wrong, so my wife called to get the information updated. It took forever to get the issue resolved as the service representative could not speak English very well, and wouldn't listen to my wife.

    Finally received a second email with the correct information. A third email was received this morning indicating that the flowers had been delivered... Oddly, the email confirmation came in BEFORE the scheduled delivery time, which was an early warning that something was amiss. An hour after the funeral was over, my wife's cousin texted to say that the flowers had NOT arrived. WHAT!

    So, we called AVAS FLOWERS. The AVAS Flowers representative vehemently claimed that the flowers had been delivered. They said that their "designer" said it had been, and that they were calling the church but nobody answered. The rep made several mistakes in what she told me (in terms of delivery time, and who they were working with), and I told her I wanted a refund. She said they'd work on it and call back. Likely won't happen.

    As there is only one flower company in this small Oklahoma town (and it's called Designs by Dennis), we called them (as we should have done to begin with), and they confirmed that they had NOT received any order from AVAS flowers. The owner indicated that AVAS Flowers was a scam, and that he knew of several of his customers who had also been scammed by AVAS; one lady lost $89 and another $49. So, on to the credit card company. They're filing a dispute for my wife, and hopefully we'll get a full refund. DO NOT DEAL WITH AVAS FLOWERS!

When I called to complain they agreed to send another identical arrangement the next day. It never come.     I called to order flowers from Avas florist in Lake Grove NY this morning. It was the absolute worst customer service I have seen in 60 years. I am at loss for how to describe the transaction. The women who took the order kept trying to get me to order what she wanted me to order, not what I wanted. I ordered a fifty dollar arrangement but after she got my credit card number the total was a hundred dollars. I asked how my order went from fifty dollars to a hundred, she said, "We give you free delivery!" I said, "How am I getting free delivery when my order went up 50 dollars", she kept mumbling, "All florist have a 25 dollar upcharge fee." After several minutes of her repeating that phrase, I said, "Just cancel the order." She said, "I give customer service." I was placed on hold and no one ever came back. I called back two more times and was placed on hold. In the meantime she charged my credit card even after being told not to.

    I finally talked to Alex and was told they would place me on hold again while he checked it out. But wanted my order number. I told him I was not given a order number because I canceled the order due to the horrible service. He then told me they already processed the order and charged my credit card. He would process a refund but I would be charged $17.95 for the cancelation. When I told him they had no right to charge me for an order I told them to not to process. He said that's how it's done and I should not be upset.

    I hung up and called my charge card. They told me he had processed the order while I was on hold. That they would contest the charges. These people are scam artists, do not give them your credit card number, do not get ripped off by them. I send flowers in Long Island NY all the time and have for the last forty years. I have never had any business behave in this disreputable manner. Please do yourself a favor, check with Better

    Business Bureau before using this company.

    I order flowers for my daughter who was very sick and missed her first school dance. They never were delivered. 8 calls and 2 e-mails later I was told by a CSR that they would resend them. I declined. I requested to have pending transaction cancelled. I was placed on hold for 20 min. CSR returned told me it was no longer pending and they can offer me a credit. I explained I wanted a refund and requested to manager! CSR told me they were all busy. By this time I was out of patience! I told them I expected a refund or the charge would be disputed. I was told the reason the flowers were not delivered was due to a problem with website so they would offer me a credit or another delivery! Again in a louder tone I demanded a refund and explained they were fraudulent by making it appear they were local in the first place that I was giving them one last time to make it right.

    CSR puts on hold. Comes back and says they will refund me everything but the “handling fee” yes this fee that pops up for 15$ that they charge for using their website. I explained that they could not charge me a "handling fee" on goods not received. In the state of GA it was illegal. Further she herself said her site was down so how could she charge me for a site that didn’t work. That their company was nothing but a fraudulent front to collect money without services and I would be disputing charges. All I had to do was show that they refused.

    She then placed me on hold came back Gave me a reference number for a full refund and said it could take up to 10 days. We will see if this is true. My bank is watching the transaction and with dispute in 10 days. Further if you read after searching 20 min. You finally find a list a florist in an array they say they may or may not use. Never again will I be scammed!!! I hope this review keeps others from being scammed as well!!!

    This company says they are a local florist, but they are not. They are based overseas. Like many others, I fell their scam to get flowers 50% off. When I went to my hairdresser, she told me about the problems she and others have had with Avas. Problems include intended recipient not receiving the flowers and the flowers being very low quality. I called them to cancel my order which was not to be delivered until three days later. They told me that they could only give me a partial refund (about 70%). The remaining 30% they had to keep because the order had gone to their designers. There was no designing to do. This was an arrangement right from their website. I intend to call my bank and get a full refund.

    Ordered flowers for my mom's birthday. They advertise as though they are a local florist in the town where she lives. Prices online look great. However, in the fine print, it tells you that what you see in the picture is actually their next step up even though the price is their basic. MISLEADING ADVERTISING! Next, even after I agreed to the additional $10 dollars to get what was in the picture, they still tacked on an additional $16.95 handling fee. I should have canceled, but she assured me that every other florist charges a handling fee and I was in a hurry to get them delivered that day to my mom so I moved forward. Before the transaction was finalized, my $39.99 dollar advertised bouquet was $71.51 to get what was pictured. When I talked with my mom later in the day, she didn't mention the bouquet, so I KNEW something was wrong.

    I called Avas back and after considerable hold time, I reached an agent who told me that since my mom had not answered her phone, they were not able to deliver her bouquet. However, rather than call me and see if I could reach her, or even call back a little later, they chose to do nothing. I told the girl that it was only 4:00 PM where my mom lived and that I wanted them delivered today even if they had to leave them on her porch for her to find when she got home.

    The agent then told me that they were just an order house and called the florist and passed along the info, but would not tell me which florist in my hometown they were coming from. When the bouquet arrived, it was nothing like the picture. I called and requested a partial refund, and the girl offered me a 5% discount and $10 in Ava's Flowers credit. I told her this was completely unacceptable. She apologized, said that was all she could do and she thanked me for my time and disconnected the call.

    NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER buy from Avas. We ordered a bouquet appropriate for a funeral we attended last Saturday. When my husband arrived at the local florist to whom the arrangement was sent, the bouquet was frankly a joke. It was about 1/3 of the size of the one we had ordered, and would have been a huge insult had we brought it to the funeral for display. The florist said we needed to take up the matter with Avas. They also said that they have had MANY complaints from customers who have ordered from Avas. To add insult to injury, I have called Avas many times since last Saturday--today is Wednesday, four days later--only to be told we could have a $10 credit, we could have rewards points, they could redeliver the flowers, blah, blah, blah. HELLO!!! THE FLOWERS WERE FOR A FUNERAL!!!

    Yesterday when I called, I asked to speak to the manager. She was conveniently "on the phone". I left my name and number for her to call me. Do you think she has called me? Of course not.     I ordered the "premium" Peach & White sympathy spray for my sister's funeral with the sympathy card $3.99 and two sashes $9.99 each. The picture depicted on the website is of the "deluxe" arrangement and has approx. 50 flowers in it. The arrangement I received as the "premium" arrangement had approx. 35 flowers in it! It also had a sloppy handwritten card pinned to the ribbon bow and NO sashes! Instead they glued and stapled the words Beloved Sister and Aunt to the ribbon bow! Very very poor quality!     We placed an online order for same day delivery of flowers for my brother's calling hours. Avas Flowers website showed same day delivery to East Palestine Ohio where my brother lived and the funeral home handling his arrangements is located. We placed the order at 12:24 on Saturday 1/6/18. The calling hours for my brother were Sunday 1/7/18 from 5 pm to 7 pm. We live three hours away from East Palestine and we did not arrive in town until Sunday morning 1/7/18. We went to the funeral home and did not see our flowers. We spoke to the funeral director and she said they did not receive our flowers on Saturday or so far on Sunday.

    When we returned at 5 pm for calling hours we spoke to her again and again. She said the flowers had not be delivered. We were very embarrassed feeling that we had placed our order in good faith that they would arrive in time for calling hours. My brother's funeral service was at 11:00 am on Monday 1/8/18. We spoke to the funeral director at 9 am and she said that our flowers had still not been delivered.

    We attended the service and the luncheon at the church. We then went to the cemetery for the burial and prepared to head back home at 3 pm. The funeral director called the funeral home to see if the flowers had possibly been delivered. Again we were told our flowers had not arrived. We apologized to my sister-in-law for the failure. She said no apology was necessary and the important thing was we were there for her. We returned home Monday night comforted by a beautiful service for my brother. We will never use Avas Flowers again nor would we recommend this company to anyone.

    This is nothing but a foreign call center. I ordered a birthday bouquet for my daughter who is away at college and this was the first time she would be apart from us on her birthday. I called on January 31st, two days before her birthday. I asked several questions before I placed my order with the expectations that it was a local company in New Jersey and had experience delivering to colleges. On my daughter's birthday, I got an email stating the delivery was made. I talked to my daughter and she never received the flowers. I called right away but was told they had to look into it and would get back to me. No one got back to me and when I called on the 3rd. No one had looked into it and I was told the same thing as the day before that they had to talk to their designer and would get back to me. No one got back to me.

    I called again on the 3rd and was told someone would deliver it on the 5th. I said, my daughter's birthday was on the 2nd, I paid for service and that I no longer wanted the delivery. I just wanted my money back but that is where the real trouble began. I asked to speak to a supervisor and no one would let me. I was given the same runaround. I called again on the 5th and again was told, they would deliver but I just said no and stayed on the line til a supervisor finally came on. I finally, after a half hour with this supervisor got a refund. Along the way the representatives lied to me several times, were not helpful. They say they are a local family run company but it is not local or family run and who knows where the call center is as I spoke to five people along the way and no one spoke good English. Accidents happen, but it is customers service that makes for a good company and this company has the worst I have seen.

    I ordered a bouquet for my sister's special birthday. I was led to believe they were in Ohio and I was calling a local florist. I was lied to and told I was speaking with a floral designer. The flowers arrived and were a complete disappointment. Carnations looked half dead, roses were not long stemmed as promised. Refuse to do anything to correct the issue. Why would I want a $10 credit to a florist that clearly does not care about customer satisfaction. NEVER use them!!!

    My friend's husband's mother passed away a couple weeks ago. I do not live anywhere near them and am not familiar with any of the florists near their home. I searched florists near their town and chose Avas Flowers. **BIG MISTAKE** I ordered a sympathy bouquet for $69.99 and requested same-day delivery with a specific note on a card to accompany the bouquet. I received a text at 3:00PM that afternoon saying the flowers were successfully delivered. I spoke to my friend a week later and she said they did not receive any flowers. I called Avas the next day and spent over 1/2 hour on the phone with a representative. I found out they used a local florist that claimed to have "successfully delivered" the bouquet and even got a signature. Spoke to my friend again and it turns out, the flowers were delivered to the WRONG address, there was no special message on the card as I requested, and no one signed for them as the residents were away on vacation!

    These residents came home to find a dead floral arrangement on their steps and contacted my friend. I then called Avas and spent over 1/2 hour again on the phone. I was firmly told they DO NOT and WOULD NOT refund me. They insisted that the florist they used received a signature, spoke to the recipient, and left the arrangement! I was incredibly angry that they were blatantly lying to me because I knew the true story. Flowers delivered to wrong address, no one signed for them, and no one contacted my friend about the delivery. Avas, of course, offered to deliver a new arrangement at no extra cost (gee, thanks) and a $20 voucher to be used on their site the next time I use them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I will NEVER use them again.

    As other reviews state, this is an online company that sends work to local vendors. Avas never discloses the names of their vendors either, so I couldn't even contact the supposed real florist that delivered! Do yourself a favor, DON'T USE AVAS FLOWERS FOR ANYTHING. I got duped and am so mad about the non-refund. It's the principle of the matter here. THIS COMPANY IS 100% TERRIBLE AND THEY LIE.

    I went online to place a order for sympathy flowers to be delivered to North Las Vegas. After placing my order with all the info, I was informed that I had to verify my info for security on my credit card. I called in and did this. Somehow they changed the delivery address to my billing address. Not only were the flowers not delivered correctly, I got a call from my local florist about delivery. I was informed that Avas is only a telemarketing flower gathering company and NOT a florist. I was also told that I overpaid for the lily plant from what my local florist charges. I was unable to reach anyone by phone yesterday afternoon when I learned of their mistake. I called this morning and was informed they are in New Jersey and not in Las Vegas as their ad indicated they were a local florist. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes trying to get my order delivered to the correct address. They told me that I would have to pay an additional $10.95 for delivery.

    I was not satisfied with this as it was their fault for changing the address when I called in to verify my credit card. At this point I wanted to cancel and was told that I cannot or would forfeit my entire payment. I informed the person that this was unacceptable & that I would never use them again as their customer service is horrendous. I also informed them that I would make sure that I reviewed their company any place that I could. This company is not reputable and very misleading. They do not care about customer service at all. You are best to call your local trusted florist for a delivery out of your area.

    I ordered flowers for my daughter’s birthday on a Saturday morning. The website said free same day delivery. I got a phone call saying the flowers were not available but they would substitute a premium bouquet of a dozen roses. I declined as the flowers I ordered were much prettier and more expensive than plain roses. I said to cancel the order and refund my money. All of a sudden they were quite sure the order could be filled. Then I got a second call trying to convince me to go with the roses. Again I said to cancel and refund if the flowers ordered could not be delivered. They assured me my order would be filled as ordered. The third phone call I received said that the order could not be delivered until Monday. The flowers never got to my daughter’s home until Tuesday and look nothing like what I had ordered in quantity or quality. Lesson learned. These people take bait and switch to a new level.

    On 1/27/18 I had a floral arrangement for a family member delivered to the funeral home. When I ordered it online a few days earlier I chose an arrangement with a nice reusable urn to be kept as a keepsake. What I received was some ok looking flowers in a paper mache throwaway pot. Cheap, tacky and ugly, actually embarrassing. I contacted Avas Flowers and was told the type of container isn’t guaranteed. I can live with that as long as something comparable is substituted, not a throwaway piece of crap though. Avas offered a small store credit, so small that I would have to add more money to it in order to make a purchase. That is a SCAM to get me to spend more money at their business. After reading other reviews on Avas Flowers I see a whole lot of negative reviews of Avas Flowers. So my message to others is DO NOT PURCHASE FROM AVAS FLOWERS.

    On behalf of my family I ordered a large flower spray on a display stand from Avas to be delivered to the graveside service of an old family friend. To our dismay, at the service there was no large flower spray or any flowers at all delivered from Avas. (There was a small potted flower arrangement there that had yellow roses and white carnations that my spray order was supposed to have. I thought that might have been the Avas delivery, but I found out a week later from the deceased's family that arrangement was from the deceased's cousins in Texas.) I contacted Avas immediately after the service to complain and after a week they sent me a picture of the spray that had supposedly been created. While the spray in the picture matched what I had ordered, I told them that the spray was not at the graveside. They could not give me any reason for why the arrangement was not delivered to the graveside, nor where it ended up.

    After much arguing with them where they only wanted to give me a partial refund, I did get a full refund. However, the sad and disappointing part of the experience was that no flowers from my family were at the service of a wonderful family friend on account of the incompetent service of Avas. I found Avas online and thought they were a local florist in the area. It appears now that they are a company located who knows where who contracts out to florists in the area of need. I have no idea who the actual florist was I so can't go to them directly to complain. I will not use Avas again and I recommend people contact an actual florist in their area of need instead of using an "Avas-type" middleman business.

    Placed order online, website has great rating (obviously fabricated) and guarantees same day delivery. Placed order on Friday before noon, by Tuesday of the following week after 2:00 order has still not been delivered. Only phone number is to some call center. The people there (probably not in the US) "can't get a hold of their local designer". Now told it's been over 24 hours so I can't get a full refund. These people are a scam! Call a real local florist, but these people are not it!

    I ordered a Premium Floral Harmony at an additional cost and 2 balloons. Received 1/3 of spent droopy wilted flowers. The order was $104.00. This arrangement would have been on the bargain clearance like at Wal-Mart. I am abhorred that they will not rectify this situation. The good news is I have PROOF of what I ordered and what was received.
