I was very disappointed with Avas Flowers. I selected a bouquet that had "Free Delivery". I entered all the info to complete the order. AFTER I entered my credit card info, the price changed. A "Service & Handling Fee" of $15.95 was added to my order. I cancelled the transaction and ordered from another florist who had a Delivery Feel of $11.95 with no hidden charges.

Do not do business with Avas Flowers. We ordered three arrangements and not one was correct. They advertise that they are a family business, but they only take the order and send it out to another florist to complete. What we received looked nothing like what was pictured. The Lavender spray had very few lavender flowers - mostly white and did not have the additional darker purple flowers we requested. Ordered a Heart-shaped wreath, received a round wreath with no banner. Again few lavender flowers. The 3rd arrangement was a vase of lavender and purple flowers - what was received was a pink bouquet. None of the arrangements had the cards attached. Did not need this on the day we buried my son.

The flowers online looked so pretty I ordered and paid for two of the same arrangements. The one I received was nice but I spent the next hour trying to track the second one. At first I was told it was going to be delivered then I was told it was a mistake I had to understand. I paid for two and requested a refund for the undelivered arrangement. The customer service rep was very rude. I will never order from Avas again and encourage no one to. They turned a happy day into a nightmare. Beware.

I ordered what was supposed to be a beautiful vase of all white flowers for a funeral at a cost of $100.92. What was delivered was a case full of greenery with 6 flowers, half of which were dying. When I called customer service and sent pictures, I was told the "recipe" was correctly executed with 2 roses, 2 carnations, and 2 Lillies... for over $100! After 3 days of phone calls I was offered $10.

I ordered flowers for a funeral. At the funeral, I found the flowers but the name on the card was not my name. I called customer service to explain the error and request they send a correct order to the home since the funeral was over. They explained that the flower order was correct. It was just the card that was wrong so there was nothing they could do since my flower order was delivered. No matter how much I explained they made a mistake, they did not want to correct it. They said that since it was just the card that was wrong, they would refund me the $4.00 for the card. They also offered me a $15 credit for a future order. I refused the $15 credit as I will NEVER order them them again. They also offered to call the grieving daughter to tell her the flowers were from me. I refused this as I found the offer extremely tacky.
After over 1 hour on the phone (and many times on hold), I gave up as I was not getting anywhere with them. They do not care about their customers or making things right. I did write a review on their website that I doubt will show up on their website. Never order from this company. You will be extremely dissatisfied! I did not want to pick a star rating but that was not an option. Unfortunately I had to pick 1 star.

Ordered flowers for a funeral. The site stated they were delivered 1 day before the viewing, the funeral home stated they were never received. Customer service is horrible, they do not care about their customers. Will never use these crooks again, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.

Do not use this company. I think they are a scam. I ordered flowers for a funeral to be delivered before noon. I get an email at 12:14pm after they should of been delivered saying something was lost in spam and they needed me to contact them. I contact them and they said they didn't have the flowers. The company I work for also used them for flowers for the same funeral and received the same message. Customer Service could not give me the number to anyone at a corporate office or anyone else. They said they were the only ones who would be able to help or take a complaint. If anyone decides to use this company be very careful and make sure your flowers get delivered. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worse enemy.

My brother passed away a few weeks ago and we had his memorial service last weekend. We had several flower arrangements. We receive an arrangement and my first and last name were misspelled and no name of the person who sent the flowers. I called the local florist who made the arrangement, they told me there was no sender name on the order and the misspellings were what they received. They gave me the number for Avas.
The first customer service representative could not figure out who the sender was and hung up on me. The second customer service representative I contacted I asked to talk to a manager but she insisted on helping me and still can't figure out who sent the flowers. I asked to talk to the manager so now I have a manager on the phone 25 minutes later she can't figure out who sent the flowers. I called back the local florist and 2 days later she figured out that my cousin sent the flowers. If I could give them 0 stars that would be overrated.

I ordered flowers for my moms birthday on 10/1 to be delivered by 10/2, her birthday is on 10/3. The order did not get delivered 10/2 because they didn’t have the arrangement. Rather than call, I received an email that went to my junk mail. I called them on 10/3 at 8 am and stated that it had to be delivered that day by noon, otherwise my mom was going to be gone. I was told that they could definitely do that but it’s an extra $7, fine I pay the money.
It was not delivered on time and my mom did not get the flowers on her birthday. I spent over 90 minutes on the phone with customer service trying to reconcile the fact that I paid for a service that was not delivered in a timely fashion. Nothing. I ended up paying $80 for flowers that were not delivered on time but they think that’s okay because she got them the following day. This company gives no control to their customer service reps and blames everything on their contract delivery service, which will get you nowhere. Stay away. Horrible customer service.

On 9/23/2019 our office contacted AVAS flowers at approx 12:00 pm to have a same day order. We were placed on hold and told by that rep that the flowers were available for delivery the same day before 4pm to arrive to an event. I requested the flowers be delivered on the same day before 4 which they agreed to do saying that it would be there and the arrangement would be beautiful and that they checked and the flowers were available.
Two days later we did not receive a thank you from the business and then researched only to find an email for 4:31 pm on 9/23/19 stating that they could not fulfill the order until the next day. They advised that they are offering $15 in store credit points for the inconvenience. I called today to discuss the matter - spoke to rep Jocelyn who offered $10.00 and then supervisor Ceaser who offered $15. I also requested a person beyond a floor supervisor and the rep named Ceasar refused stating that he is the end of the chain to speak with.
Desired Resolution/Outcome. Desired Resolution: Refund. Desired Outcome: Full refund needs to be issued. Rep Jocelyn hung up on me and Supervisor Ceasar refused to go beyond a 15% credit. Either full refund is to be issued due to the fact that the vendor over promised and under delivered on the agreement. The vendors email was not seen until after the fact and the vendors email did not go out until after the promised delivery time of 4pm (email sent 4:31pm) additionally - florists are closed by this time and unable to receive and fulfill same day orders for same day delivery. Even if the email was seen at 4:32 pm we would not have had enough time to set up a delivery with another florist due to the times that floral shops close and being that the event also started at 5pm for which the flowers were needed for, not the next day.

I ordered birthday flowers to be delivered to my mother 1 week in advance of her birthday. This is my first experience using Avas Flowers. I immediately received a confirmation email and my Visa was charged for the full order. 4 days after my mother's birthday, I was informed by my sister that no flowers were delivered. I called the Avas' helpline and and spent several minutes navigating through their auto attendant until I finally got a human voice. I was put on hold for a few minutes, then she came back and said "they have no yellow flower so they could not fill order. You want order now?". I was not contacted by phone or email with any suggested substitute. They just parked my order. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Avas Flowers sucks!

Ordered birthday flowers as a gift 4 days ahead of time. No delivery even with 3 calls to company on that day. "Driver not answering", then "miscommunication". DO not use them--ruined this birthday gift.

I would not recommend this company at all. I ordered flowers today around 2 p.m. I asked the representative, "Was it too late to get flowers delivered today? She said, "No they could be delivered today." I asked her, "Are you sure because I do not want them if they cannot be delivered today." I was unsure if my sister will be home on tomorrow to receive them. I wanted to send some flowers to brighten her day. Today was a very significant day for her. The representative assured that they could be delivered today. She placed me hold and contacted the designer. She came back to the phone and said they will be delivered today. So I paid the $68. She said that I would receive the confirmation email after the call but she could give me my confirmation number over the phone.
After the call, I opened the email and it stated FLEX delivery. Deliver today or tomorrow by 5pm. In small print it read there is no guarantee that it could be delivered today. I called back to tell them that the invoice was incorrect, that I specifically said today 10/7/19. The lady said, "No worries. All invoices say that but it will be delivered today." I said, "No I want my invoice to reflect exactly what I ordered and requested which was delivery on today not flex delivery." She sent me over to customer service. Then they said there is no guarantee that they will be delivered today. That's why it is printed as flex delivery, but, that she will call the designer.
She came back to the phone and said that they cannot be delivered today because the order was placed after cutoff time but they could deliver them on tomorrow. I said no, I would like a refund because I asked several times for them to be delivered today and was told several times they would be. I asked first representative, "Was it too late," and she said no, not at all. Then customer service went on to say, "I'm not sure that we could give you a refund because it states flex delivery on your invoice which means they could be delivered today or tomorrow."
At that point smoke was coming out of my ears. Very calm, I said, "Ma'am that was the initial reason for this call because the invoice does not reflect my conversation with the representative." I said I recorded the call. I specifically said I did not want to place order if they cannot be delivered today. She placed me on hold and then came back about five minutes later two say they will be issuing a refund that will take 10 days to process. I don't believe I would have gotten a refund had I not said I recorded the call, which I actually didn't!! Lord forgive me, BUT I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. LIKE MANY OTHER SAID I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. LIFE LESSON!!!

I wanted to send my daughter a bouquet to her new place of employment. I chose Avas Flowers because the map showed their location close to her job. The deceiving ad looked like they offered a large discount and free delivery. I tried to order online but it was showing delivery charge. So I called them. I waited a very long time for service and it sounded like someone from another country. He said that for the price I wanted I would have to order the small size. I did not want what would be a mere handful of flowers. He then put the order in for medium size with a simple floral card, for about $65. I then looked online for my order. It was changed for small, including a bow and full size card which I did not order.
So again I waited on the phone. Finally the woman said she'd have to review my entire taped conversation. After a very long wait, she unhappily changed to a medium bouquet, no bow and the simple card. I requested that the flowers be delivered early in the day. The online confirmation said by 7 pm. Again I had to call them to tell them she wouldn't be there after 5. They checked with the designer and said she would have it but could not give me a time.
Well they were delivered about 3 PM and my daughter sent me a picture. I was so disappointed. They were the same colors as the sample I selected but there were only about 8 stems. I was embarrassed and spent way too much money. I called to complain. I filed an email complaint and received several emails back saying they would speak to the designer and also get back to me within 5 business days to rectify the situation. That was about 3 weeks ago and I have not heard anything. Nor do I expect to at this point. I should have made my own gorgeous arrangement and had it sent via Uber for a lot less money and aggressively re aggravation.

My family wanted to send flowers to the memorial service for my uncle in a small Montana town. I was assured that this company could get the flowers there for the service to represent our family. I ordered them 10 days prior to the memorial service. The salesperson on the phone assured me that they use local florists and could get the flowers there. The day of the service I received an email telling me they could not get the flowers there. The excuse they gave was there was an issue with the flower design. I called ** on their excuse. I had to tell me Mom that our family did not have flowers at her brother’s memorial service and got my money refunded. Beyond unacceptable.

I ordered a planter with some flowers in it. It was supposed to have a ribbon around it and a banner. I was charged extra for both and it did not have either. I ordered a medium size and it could not have been any smaller so it must have been the small size. Finally some of the flowers in the arrangement were already wilting and dying and they had never even opened. I have called now 2 times and still have not received any money off the price. This was a complete rip off so beware.

My aunt's 70th birthday is tomorrow, October 5th. I ordered a large arrangement of daisies to be delivered today so she could start enjoying them before her birthday. I placed the order a week ago. This afternoon at 3pm, I was left a vm stating they don't have daisies! When I called back, they said they could replace with other flowers. I told them that wouldn't work and I wanted a refund. They told me they couldn't do refunds the day of delivery. I advised I would have cancelled sooner would someone have called me yesterday, the day before or the day before that to let me know they would not have daisies to fill the order. I could have made other arrangements if someone would have called me anytime within the last week.
They insisted they couldn't refund me and offered me 10% off...for an arrangement I did not order. I assured them I was not paying for a product I did not order. After 45 minutes and speaking to 3 different people, I received a refund but my aunt won't have daisies for her 70th birthday. This is poor planning and poor customer service on their part.

I Placed an order, gave credit card info, etc., after correcting the person who got everything wrong when taking the order repeating (both recipient's name, and my name, wrong message on card) everything was wrong!! (It seemed like a joke, he kept telling me about what a bad day he was having!!) After being assured everything was correct, I call the next day because I never got the e-mail confirmation that was promised and they have NO record of any order. Said, "Please hold" and they'd check (left me oh HOLD for 20 MINUTES, I had to call on another phone to get their attention that I was still on hold!!! The guy Manni ** promised he'd look into it further and would get back to me within three hours. What a surprise, I never heard from him. I had to call my credit card company to note possible fraud. My mistake, I should have just hung up the phone when the person got all my info wrong.

I do not typically write customer reviews however I feel it necessary in this case. I ordered flowers from this company for my girlfriend. Come to find out from her a few days later that the arrangement they sent was completely wrong and poorly made. I called the customer service department expecting to receive a refund for they failed to deliver the flowers I ordered. Instead they proceeded to tell me that beyond a 24 hour window no refund could be issued. They then attempted to offer a discount on my next order trying to sell me rather than address the issue. Avas Flowers is simply unprofessional they failed to satisfy me as a customer every step of the way. Do not buy flowers from these people.

Unbelievable the way this company works. Pictures shown on the website is not what gets delivered. Customer service is a slow incompetent system. They say "call customer service." When you call they tell you "do it online." When you try online on any option you choose, you will get this message "we are unable to complete your request at this time, blah blah blah".
Flower arrangement was not delivered on time at my wife's work. It took forever but finally contacted support and they said it will be deliver at my home address. Arrangement was still delivered late at my wife's work, not my home address and it was way smaller than what I ordered online. I paid for a pink vase and got a clear. Bought chocolates with the flowers and there was no chocolates delivered. Unfortunately I had to leave a 1 star rating because it won't allow me to leave no stars.

Please advise customers that this is not a locally owned business. I ordered balloons at 1:00 Chicago time for Seattle (11:00 am). I received confirmation that the order would be delivered prior to 7:00 pm. They were not delivered. I called the following day (irate) at 9:00 am Chicago time, and was told I would receive a 20% discount and the order was on its way 6:00 pm Chicago time (Seattle time 4:00 pm) the second day- balloons not delivered. Called back. Told them to cancel the order and I was told that the company is in New Jersey and I had in fact ordered them after 2:00 pm. Now, the website says that Avas is a local Seattle florist. I received a confirmation for the order accepting it for same day delivery. I believe I have been dealt with fraudulently. Amy **

I placed an order early morning to be delivered same day for my friend's birthday. They arrived when the office was closed for lunch. This office has a clock on the door stating when they will be back. They never went back nor did they call/text my friend to find out how they could deliver them to her. So much for a surprise birthday gift for my friend. Totally took the joy out of the surprise.

Do not order from this florist! I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order with them. Turns out the reviews I did see were a scam and written by them! I don't know how they can get away with this. I ordered a plant arrangement for my niece's 40th birthday and wanted it to be extra special. Otherwise I would not have paid $100.00 for it! They were supposed to include a full size card, balloons, and a big pink bow.
When I went to see her a short time later I could not believe what it looked like. The arrangement looked nothing like the picture on their website and none of the extras I paid for were included. The plant looked like something you could pick up for about $10.00, if that. So disappointed and a complete waste of money. I feel sorry for all the people who have ordered through them and thought that they were sending something nice, and the recipient probably got something really crappy! Also, when I tried to call them about this order all I kept getting was put on hold and then hung up on. Obviously they do not care about customer satisfaction, once they get your money. Do not waste your time or money on this place.

Sent sympathy flowers to my girlfriend's son's funeral. Paid for deluxe and received wilted flowers looking nothing like the picture. It was so embarrassing to have those flowers delivered under my name. I will not recommend anyone use this site so that you won’t get ripped off like I did. I wish I could post a picture of the wilted flowers. Please Beware.

I wish I would have seen these reviews before I ordered flowers from Avas and was charged for them without ever receiving the flowers! Ordered on a Thurs for delivery on a Saturday. What a scam operation with horrible customer service. Save your money and stress. Don’t use this company.

September 28, 2019, Ordered flowers for my sisters 80th birthday on Monday of this week for early a.m. delivery on Saturday, September 28. They called me at 10:40 to say they can’t deliver, maybe Monday! Monday is not her birthday. They have had all week to call and say they were unable to fill the order. I cancelled the order completely and very disappointed. I’d never use them again and would warn anyone else to use a different florist.

Do not order here!!!. They are not reliable. I order for my mom's funeral 5 days ahead. I called 3 days prior to change the funeral address and to advised the funeral is at 10am and advised them to drop off the flowers day prior. The day of the funeral no flowers arrived. I sat on hold up to 945am. My mom funeral is over. It's 3:54pm still no delivery. Someone had to go to a local florists to get me flowers. They made this day even more worse than the actual funeral. And still on hold. DO NOT USE THEM!! BBB HAS ALERT ON THEIR WEBSITE ABOUT THE AVAS.

Place this order yesterday 9/26 garden basket. Received 9/27 at 3:30. They were beautiful. My only concern is I never received a confirmation in my email, I have asked twice for an invoice to be sent to my email and still haven't received one. Automated customer service is nice sometimes... But there are times you need to speak to someone. Disappointed in service, but will use them again.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to a friend who was having surgery. I placed the order on 9/24/19 in the morning for a 9/25/19 delivery, assuming it would be early to late afternoon. On 9/26/19 at 11:43 a.m., I received a call requesting the home address of the recipient as she had been discharged from the hospital prior to delivery. I asked when the delivery attempt had been made and was told 8 pm on 9/25. My friend had been discharged an hour before. So I gave them my friend's home address thinking the florist would deliver to them to her.
At 2:56 PM, I received an email which said: "Great news! Your order has already been processed and will be on its way to be delivered on your requested delivery date. For all status updates on your order, please use the tracking number we have listed below. Thank you for choosing Avas Flowers." The delivery date is 9/27/19; not only is 9/27/19 NOT my requested delivery date, the flowers are being delivered by UPS. I was not told by the customer service person that the flowers would be delivered by UPS and not until Friday 9/27. If she had told me, I would have cancelled the order and got the flowers myself. OH, maybe that's why she didn't tell me. I will never use Avas Flowers again, nor will I recommend them to my friends and family. Such a disappointment!

Ordered a large arrangement to be delivered by 2pm on someone's birthday. Not only was it not delivered but no call or notification was attempted to the buyer or person who supposed to received it. Spent $108.68 and had to keep calling till I finally got a hold of of customer service. At this time I was told that they would deliver it the next day. Terrible execution. Will never ever use this company again and given any chance I will spread the word on how bad they are in commitment and communication. TERRIBLE!!!!

I ordered a bouquet for someone in the hospital. I chose the upgraded size to match what I saw in the photo. When the recipient sent me a picture of the flowers she received I was embarrassed. These flowers looked NOTHING like the picture. There was easily 4 times less the amount of flowers that were shown in the photo on the website. The vase looked almost empty!!! I paid almost $80! When I contacted someone about my poor experience they said the flowers delivered met their guidelines. Absolutely unacceptable. Unhappy customer. Embarrassed sender. Will never use again. Do not recommend this company!

I ordered what I thought was going to be a beautiful arrangement of flowers, what I received was a depressing, sad product. 7 flowers total. A 70th birthday surprise was a total disappointment. And the customer service is sketchy to say the least. They told me the florist would only issue a small credit. As it turns out the florist knows nothing about the credit because the payment is thru the 3rd party. Avas flowers is a poor representation of any business, especially the florists. Do not recommend them at all.

Avas shows "5 Star Reviews" on Google and Bing... Except it's not a link. It's a jpeg graphic, meaning the company made the "5 Star" graphic themselves. It's a fraud. In truth they get horrible reviews constantly. This is a scam website.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. So many mistakes, zero customer service, apart from the repeated "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience". The flowers I sent for my aunt's birthday sat all day at a front desk. Over one hour spent tracking it, revealed that they had the wrong date, the wrong email, and dropped off the arrangement as if it was a flyer. MY aunt's birthday has come and gone and she still doesn't have the flowers. If you care about quality or having confidence in what you send for a special occasion, DO NO USE THIS COMPANY. Zero Stars.

Ordered flowers Sunday, 9/15. Didn't expect them to deliver, which they did not. Expected Monday delivery, didn't happen. They said they had attempted to contact me (they didn't) about not having the parts of the display I ordered. They were going to get in additional product on Monday, but not for the arrangement I ordered. I authorized a change. Said they would deliver today (Tuesday). I told them my mother might get moved to rehab center by today (Tuesday). Said they would check with Hospital before delivery. Not an issue because now they say they will deliver tomorrow (Wednesday).
I'm glad my mother survived the surgery because the florist would be late for a funeral. Will never use this Florist in the future and will never use a florist who is linked into a national marketing coop or whatever the arrangement is. If they don't make delivery right tomorrow I will cancel order via my credit card company and order from a more "local" florist. They should be ashamed of their service given that many people rely on florist to be honest and trustworthy in delivering services in times of great despair.

I order flowers for someone In Pa. while I was on an extended vacation in Alaska. I ordered "Dreaming of Tuscany" with a yellow bow. There were some extra charges and I was billed $86.32. A couple days later I received a thank you and a picture of the flowers. There were 3 pink roses and some deeper pink flowers and a very large pink bow. I called the company the next day when I had cell service available. I was told they could not do anything because I waited to long to call them. I was hung up on several times and they said they were very sorry and made me wait for a long period of time for them to answer me.
I finally talked to a supervisor and he told me to read the contract. All I had was a copy of the receipt online. It did say if the flowers are not available they will make substitutions as close as possible to what is ordered. What was sent was not even close. I don't know the value of the flowers they sent. The supervisor sounded like he had a script to answer any complaint. They gave me an $18.00 credit that I will probably never use. I do not recommend this company to anyone and hope the Better Business Bureau looks into their

I had a bad experience with this company (bad customer service, flowers delivered on wrong date, order incomplete) and wrote a review reflecting that experience. I did however, receive a 10% discount for wrong delivery day and a refund for the items that were not sent. I feel like I would be remiss if I didn't mention this.

Do NOT use this company!! Sent the wrong order on the wrong day. I paid extra for Sunday delivery and balloons. The order was sent on Saturday with no balloons. Customer service hung up on me twice "accidentally". I was promised a refund for the items that were not delivered after hours on the phone and 2 emails. Still nothing. I have never written a review good or bad for anything if that tells you something. This company is a scam preying on people who are often in difficult and painful situations.

We ordered an arrangement of pink carnations, red roses, white daisies and purple filler flowers. They sent an arrangement of white daisies with 6 orange carnations. We called them and they read what we ordered and was told that they would send out another one. We received an email later saying that they can't replace it. This went on for a while with 2 people saying that they would correct their mistakes and the others saying no. The conclusion was that they won't replace them but they would send out refund for partial. Not solving issue. Should have refunded all since we didn't get what we ordered.

I ordered flowers to send to my Sister in Law who had been injured in a car accident and was in a hospital in Wyoming. I placed the order on 9-12-19 and missed the cutoff time for same day delivery by 5 minutes. The order said it would be delivered either that day or the next day. The next day I had a phone call from an unfamiliar number which I did not answer, no message was left. I received a call on 9-14-19 where I was told they could not deliver until 9-17. I told them to go ahead and after hanging up I changed my mind and tried to call them.
I was told to go to their website. I had been there before and it was of no value. I tried again and went to the cancel link and was told to call them because it couldn't perform the function. I called them again and finally got a customer (no) service representative who told me he couldn't authorize the refund because UPS had the order (why couldn't they deliver for 5 days?). He tried to talk to a supervisor who was occupied and said the supervisor would call me later that day or the next day about authorizing a refund. I located a local florist who delivered the flowers within 4 hours. I should have gone there the first day instead of waiting two days.

Totally the worst customer service ever. Ordered for a remote location in TX. Was contacted one hour before closing that they could not make the bouquet ordered online. Gave them a break because the location was remote. Then got another call to tell me the driver could not deliver the arrangement today. He would do it tomorrow (Saturday) and oh, by the way, they close at noon tomorrow! Like WHAT am I supposed to do with THAT INFORMATION?? DOES this mean IT IS NOT GOING to get DELIVERED?
Then, I get another call for a customer survey, REALLY? Was told that they would add extra flowers to the current arrangement since it was delivered, for FREE. I paid almost $70 for this arrangement to have FRESH flowers and now I am going to get EXTRA for FREE... NOT! I will never do business with this shoddy customer service organization again and I think that I am due a complete refund for this nightmare that is currently not over. I will update after (or IF) the delivery is made.

I purchased an upgraded flower bouquet from Avas Flowers.
2. The flowers delivered were not similar to what I ordered. I ordered purple and white roses and received pink gerber daisies and filler leaves.
3. I paid for an upgraded arrangement and the arrangement was sparse when it arrived.
4. Customer service offered a 15% credit for the late delivery. When I called to describe the sparse bouquet, they would not provide another credit.
So many issues for one order. Save yourself the trouble and do not purchase from this company. I do not recommend their services.

Do not use Avas Flowers. They don’t follow instructions and deliver as they please. I requested a certain time frame for delivery which was completely ignored. The quality of the flowers was disgusting.... wilted and drooping. It was so embarrassing. They are not to be trusted. They’ll promise you anything just to get your money. Don’t buy into their great discount sales either. They tack on $8.99 for a handling fee obviously to compensate the local flower shop.

****Please read this, I hope no one else has to have this terrible experience with Avas Flowers. I had ordered $100 worth of flowers to be delivered to my sister at such a happy time of her life (she was expecting her first child). Over night and the following morning she started to miscarry and I quick called Avas to cancel the order (at 10 AM), as it wasn’t supposed to be delivered until 6 PM anyway (as both her and her husband work during the day). What ensued was over an hour phone call (mostly on hold) with customer service informing me that I could not be refunded as they had already attempted to deliver the flowers (8 hours early). Moreover, they offered to redeliver the flowers to a different address, if I paid another 20$ for delivery cost. Even asking for store credit to purchase a different bouquet at a better time was not allowed.
Ultimately, the flowers were never delivered and I was not able to be refunded, all while my family was in the hospital and having one of the saddest days. So unfortunate that the company chosen to help us celebrate in turn made us feel worse in times of sorrow. We are completely understanding that cost were involved to the company far before the miscarriage happened, thus not asking for a full refund, but a little consideration of other people’s circumstances and being willing to adjust in times of hardship would have went a long ways. I would highly suggest finding a different florist, maybe one with a little more empathy.

"I had a terrible experience with this company. I paid for a premium bouquet greater than I would at any local shop and what was delivered was an embarrassment. I talked to Andrew when I put my order in. I was not emailed or cell phone called that the deliver driver was ill and could NOT deliver the order so the order was delivered 5 days later, I would have gone to a place that could deliver in a timely fashion.
Here is what transpired, I called Avas Flowers late Friday when I found our they were NOT delivered and talked to Abraham who then informed me they would be delivered asap and upgraded. So on Tuesday when they were delivered - it was NOT what I had ordered, but roses which is a flower the birthday girl detests! The roses were sad and a bit discolored, also the mylar balloon was very deflated! I only found this out when she called Wed night. So I called Thurs morning early to let them know it was terrible, David said we could NOT have to re-delivered because it was past the 24 hr delivery time! I asked why was the order changed without my knowledge and he said he did not know why.
A $24 credit was given on a $97 dollar order. I did ask David 2-3x to speak to a supervisor before the $24 dollar credit. At this point I was done, I said thank you for the credit and asked one more time to speak to a supervisor, was put on hold and when he came back was told the supervisor was not there/not available and would call me in about an hour. I gave him two (2) phone numbers. It has been well over an hour and I have heard nothing".

Ordered flowers on a Sunday afternoon for Tuesday morning funeral. The Monday was a holiday. The email confirmation gave a delivery wrong delivery time so I called Mon. morning and they confirmed that it would be delivered by 9 am. They tried to contact me later that day but we were on the road and could not get emails. I was dismayed that flowers did not arrive at the church and tried to call Avas but only got long messages and could not get a person. Had phone message when I got home to contact them. He said that they could not find anyone to deliver the flowers because Mon. was a holiday.
I was annoyed but could understand the problem. However they would not refund my payment. I would have to cancel the order that was never filled and pay a fee. They said they would deliver a nice arrangement to my brother's home the next morning even though he did not really want it. It got delivered at 3pm the next afternoon but was nothing special. Very disappointed that I had to pay for flowers that I no longer needed since they never completed the original order.

Late delivery (and for a funeral), inaccurate delivery information provided by phone, and the arrangement (when it finally arrived) was not even SIMILAR to what was ordered. They said "confirmation was sent to me in error." When I complained and provided all the details, they offered no recompense. Check out their fine print on their website: apparently they can substitute ANYTHING (even if not of comparable value) and can be late. Have been ordering flowers for over forty years and have never had a disaster like this one. If I could give fewer than 1 star, I would.

I ordered the Sunset in Belize bouquet (a colorful bouquet of different types and colors of flowers). I paid $6.99 extra for a mylar balloon. The flowers that were delivered were plain roses in the same color. The $7 balloon was a 6 inch, half inflated balloon on a stick. Delivery was supposed to be the same day, but the flowers weren't delivered until the following morning. There was "free" delivery, but I got charged a $17.95 "Service Fee". Very disappointed. I will never use them again and will make sure everyone I know hears about my awful experience.

Order scam, beware. You get charged multiple times! When the order goes to verify your credit card and when it comes up not verified it still processed the order but you think it didn’t so you place another identical order until it verifies and then it sends multiple orders. I went on line and googled florists in Neenah, WI. Avas came up as the #1 florist in the city. There were good reviews on their site. I filled out an order online for an azalea plant that was in a pretty white pot with some navy blue designs on it. It showed a beautiful plant full of flowers. My relative received a plant that was not an azalea, it wasn’t a blooming plant. It looked sparse and was in a plain clay pot. The $42 plant ended up costing $67 as the delivery was free but they charge $20 for service and handling. I would never have bought it. It looks like something they had on hand to get rid of. I filed a complaint over 3 days ago. I received an email back that they would have an answer in 24 hours. I’m still waiting.

I received a phone call late in the day saying there was a problem with the delivery driver, they would not be delivered and "Would you like us to call her and explain". I just had a horrible experience with Avas Flowers. I need flowers delivered on a specific date (add in reason for dramatic effect: for my recently widowed mom who was alone on her birthday) so I was searching local florist and was directed to Avas on the front page of the website it that had the words same-day delivery to Traverse City - so I thought I was at a local florist. FYI: I did not need the same day delivery but after reviewing all my communication from this company I did notice wording at the bottom of my receipt that the delivery day is not guaranteed. I just happened to notice two emails in my spam from Avas saying the flowers I choose were not in stock and to please call which I did 3 times, each time I received a message that said, "Thank you for calling" and the line disconnected.
I tried reaching out through the website but the only choice you have to submit a request to be contacted. Flowers were of course not delivered. I tried again this morning, was again disconnected, however on the next try I did get through. The opening message is to please check your spam email and to try and contact them through the website to resolve your problem bc the wait time is 20 minutes. It took some doing but I finally made it through the menu selections to a human. Where the first thing I was told was that they sent me an email saying they did not deliver to Traverse City which is why my flowers were not delivered. I reminded them of the website which states same-day delivery to Traverse City. The next thing he said was opposite of them not delivering to Traverse City.
He told me that Shannon sent me an email saying they were not able to find my mom's house bc the zip code was incorrect. Zip code was correct and I never received that email from Shannon. At this point I said, "I wanted a refund" and he put me on hold for quite a while and came back and said, "Good news, we are only charging you X amount" which was the exact amount that I paid, then he said we will waive the delivery. Reminded him that delivery was free on website, then he said they are giving me a $15 credit to order from them again and he would waive the service fee of $10. I said that was not acceptable and he said they had upgraded my mom's flowers - but I had purchased the upgrade.
I kept pushing for reimbursement and he told me that he could not bc the flowers were already out for delivery and it was too late bc I had not called them back yesterday. I explained that I had called, he said they have no record of my calls. He also put me on hold twice to call my mom and apologize. I was texting with mom during this and no calls were made to her. My reimbursement was refused. So far the flowers have not been delivered. Do NOT use this company.

Ordered a flower arrangement and gifts for my mothers birthday to be delivered Aug 31. Now it’s over one week later and they haven’t been delivered. I called 5 X daily since missed delivery day and instead of this company saying they couldn’t fill the order, they would make up excuses and tell me they will be delivered in a couple hours. I place an order a week ago to deliver an orchid to my aunt for her birthday...She’s in her 80s. At the end of business on her birthday, I get a text to call Avas. I call and was notified that the local florist didn’t have orchids and they would like to deliver a kalanchoe. Of course I’m at their mercy and the guys confirms that it will be delivered today. I track online and see that nothing is happening so I call again and this time, I’m told it would be delivered the following day. And for my inconvenience, they offer me 10% off my next order.
I ask to speak to a supervisor and I’m transferred to someone who said that’s all they do. So...I paid for an orchid, I’m offered a kalanchoe and the delivery is the next day and they do nothing. I cancelled the order as I can do business with such a poor organization. Please check the Better Business Bureau...There are a ton of complaints about this company. Shame on me for not doing research before placing my order. This is a horrible business do give money to. Buyer beware!!!

I ordered a Bouquet of flowers and a Happy Anniversary balloon. I was not home when the flowers were delivered, but the balloon was missing from the order. My security camera recorded the delivery person only dropping off the flowers. I left a voice message to the company that delivered the order as well as a message to Customer Support at Avas Flowers. They took the order, took my charge card, and promptly disappeared. Didn't deliver, sent a notice a day after the event saying "delivery attempt was made; unfortunately it was not successful." No explanation of why or reimbursement for their failure. THEN they had the corrupt audacity to offer no reimburse, instead "offered 15% off on next order" with them! Had a hard time explaining to them what I wanted. They didn't explain to me what the total cost was. They got the date wrong on when I wanted them delivered. They misspelled the person's name. They couldn't understand where the location was. On and on. Then when I finally tried to cancel the order online (2 days before their scheduled delivery date) it said it couldn't be cancelled and to call customer service. After several attempts with call back, re-calling, etc I finally got someone who could cancel the order and do a refund. We'll see if that actually happens! Bottom line, do not use this company!

I had never used this flower service before and will never again. If I could give them a negative star count, I would. The flowers I ordered, were supposed to come in a vase and didn't. The dozen roses I ordered were wilted on arrival. They were a birthday present for my 81 year old aunt. My aunt tried to call the florist and got a hold of someone who said they were just the delivery guy and didn't know anything. I complained to the company who took a week to get back to me. I ended up calling their customer service number which was a tangle to get through. I was offered a 10% rebate and a $20 off my next offer. When I said this wasn't acceptable, and asked to speak to a manager, she said she was it. I told her the $20 off the next purchase was useless since I would never use them again. I will stick with FTD the next time. Lesson learned!

When I called today to inquire why they weren’t delivered the recording that “checked” said they’d be “re-delivered” today. Oh yes, my credit card was already charged. Of course I held on to speak to an “agent”. I was told that they called the number and got no answer (um, she’s a TEACHER). They “didn’t realize it was a school” even though the order form included that information as the agent confirmed. It also included MY number. Supposedly they will be delivered by noon time today and I will receive a confirmation email stating this. I will not use this company again. Very disappointed.

This is a scam. Online and on the phone they represent themselves as local with low prices. I called first thing in the morning and ordered a dozen red and pink roses for same-day delivery. The young man taking my order charged me double what was on the website, then explained it was a custom order with custom arrangement, ribbon, etc. He assured me the roses were available and that same-day delivery was assured. Later I received an email that delivery would be a day later.
When the order came, it was 8 wilted roses and a scattered showing of a few miscellaneous flowers in a box delivered from New York. The roses looked like they were picked from someone's yard a few days ago. I paid $104 for this and nothing I was told I was paying extra for was delivered. I was offered a $15 credit to use with them within a year. I would never use them again or recommend anyone use them. This is the worst scam I have ever fallen for. Horrible, disappointing experience.

I ordered flowers for on 8/21/19 for same day delivery for my mother's birthday around 9am. Their add on surcharges are very high also, but I accepted it because it was going to be the same day type delivery. I got an email around 10am for Avas' customer support team saying issues existed and call them. They could not deliver as their website indicated so I requested cancellation of the order. They kept asking to deliver another day or to a different address, which would not work since it was her birthday.
Finally, they agreed to cancel the order but only partial. They kept a $13.95 "surcharge or processing fee" for an hour's worth of online work. I expressed my displeasure since it had only been an hour and they had not done anything. He said there is nothing else that could be done. I told him I would never do business with this company again and he didn't care. DO NOT do business with this company as they cannot deliver and their hidden fees are outrageous. There are plenty of other options out there as well.

I wanted to use a local florist to send a floral arrangement to my step daughter for her birthday. I saw Avas Flowers and found an arrangement that l really liked. It was going to be $60 already so free delivery was perfect.. so I go through the whole order process, and at the end see a $15 service fee!! For what?! They really need to just call it what it is, a delivery fee! I could’ve cancelled at that point but it was kind of last minute and just needed to send something. Unlike other reviews, the delivery actually was made, although I really want to ask her to take a picture so I can see what was really delivered! Next time I’ll just use FTD!

I ordered sympathy flowers for my Aunt. They told me that they did not have what I ordered on hand, and that the flowers would be delivered late. When they were delivered, it was not what I ordered. My aunt said the flowers were dehydrated. I was embarrassed that they did not deliver what I ordered. They sent out another bouquet, and it ended up being the same thing as the first order! I decided not to deal with them anymore at all, even to complain. Please do not use this company! I believe it is a fraud. The website makes you think that this is a local flower shop. It is not! It is a phone bank, and evidently, the corporate office is in Mahwah, NJ. It's hard to believe that this company has gotten away with this for as long as it has. Many of these stories come from people who have tried to find flowers during a time of grief. The fact that people are being taken advantage of at such a time is so sad. Please don't use this company!

This is the worst Florist that I’ve ever dealt with! I don’t see how they are still in business. If I could give a negative 0, I would. They advertise same day delivery but I can promise you that will not happen. I’ve been on the phone with them 4 different times today with problems that they were having over a very simple order of flowers. My very dear friend lost her child 2 years ago. I was simply trying to send her an arrangement to let her know that I was thinking of her but this incompetent company could not provide this service.
Then they had the audacity to call me and ask for $6.00 more to have the arrangement delivered today due to an error on their part! $6.00 means nothing to me but this company made an error and expected me to pay for it. Never again will I use them. I suggest that no one uses them. It’s unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous to have to deal with such nonsense! This is the email I sent to the company.. still no answer. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO THROUGH THESE GUYS!—-I am very disappointed with the flowers I ordered. First off I ordered flowers on August 8 to be delivered August 11, for my wife, for our 1 year wedding anniversary. They did not show up Sunday which I knew the possibility of that, but then Monday came around and it still didn’t come. I received a text saying “urgent” about my purchase and was given a number to call. So I called and I get the message that my order is going to be late, "Sorry for the inconvenience, we will make it up to you and make it really special," and that my order was going to be the first delivery Tuesday morning... it was 1:30 Tuesday that we received the flowers. And they were pretty pitiful in my opinion.
My order number was **. They look absolutely nothing to the shown picture, not as full, not as pretty, def not 73$ worth of anything. In fact I bought a better thing of flowers at Tops for $20 before. There was nothing “special” that made up for the delay. What I was looking forward to giving my wife simply turned into a disappointment right from the beginning. I tried getting someone to get a hold of me but that never happened either.
I will even present a picture so you as well can see the difference of what I purchased. And all I receive is a $15 store credit? That is a joke if you think I will purchase anything again from this site! How about send another bouquet that looks like the picture or make up for all these problems like you said you would. I ordered a medium size bouquet based on the photo shown on the website. It was a large bouquet in the picture. The bouquet delivered ($75) was less than a bouquet that is found in the grocery store. Classic bait and switch. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Something should be done to protect the public from these tactics. There is actually an entire Facebook page called Avas Flowers - scammer. They are a call center, NOT A FLORIST. That is a misrepresentation.

On August 21st, 2019 I ordered flowers from a customer representative on the phone. I placed my order and they set the delivery date for the August 23, 2019 which was 2 days later. Their website says same day delivery let's not forget. On August 23rd, 2019 my flowers did not arrive to my girlfriends for her birthday. Avas then sent me an email on the 23rd in the evening saying my arrangement was not available and they had to make adjustments to what I ordered and that the order was now scheduled to be delivered on Aug. 27th, 2019. which is 4 days after my girlfriends birthday.
This was a terrible experience for me. My girlfriend now believes I forgot her birthday and when they show up 4 days late I assume she thinks I ordered them late. I don't suggest ordering from this website if you have a specific time for delivery. They are not trust worthy and I will never again order from them. Same day delivery is clearly a sales pitch and a scam.

I had ordered a bouquet from Avas Flowers and ended up changing my mind shortly after placing the order. While trying to cancel my order, I was told that I would not receive a full refund and would be stuck paying almost $20 for "shipping", though the order had not even been prepared yet. It didn't say anywhere that I would not be able to get a full refund should I choose to cancel, or I would not have chosen to order from Avas Flowers. Basically, if something comes up and you decide to cancel, you'll get stuck paying for nothing - I felt scammed into keeping my $85 order, which I no longer have a need for. While the flowers themselves might be "pretty", I will not be ordering from them again. There are multiple other florist options that have much better return policies, I highly suggest taking them into consideration.

We ordered flowers for hospital delivery for a good friend facing open heart surgery. Delivery Date Provided but flowers never arrived. Give Days later, no answer to be found online & phone lines literally do not answer or return calls. $99 later, no flowers & no response from Avas 11 days after delivery date. Fortunately our friend has been discharged home, but without the good wishes we intended. Don’t be fooled! Use a local florist! These people are negligent, uncaring, & dishonest.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife for our anniversary, placing the order 3 days ahead of time. Mid-day on the anniversary date I received an "Urgent" text from them saying to give them a call. I called and they told me they wouldn't be able to deliver the flowers on that date, so instead would send them 2 days later. Seriously?? Totally unacceptable to not be notified sooner so I could find a replacement service. I have never had this happen with a florist delivery service before. To top it off, when I asked for a full refund, instead they offered a store credit, as if I would even consider coming back to them again. I insisted on the refund, which they did finally give me. A standing floral array of white flowers were ordered 4 days before my father's funeral. They were the CENTERPIECE since there was no casket. The flowers did not arrive until after the funeral was over. We found them in the lobby. I called customer service and was offered 10% off and $20 store credit. I did not receive either. I emailed them and emailed complaint to BBB consumer reporting. They offered $29 but I haven't seen it. AND that's about the same they offered first time for a $169 order that could not be used. This company never responded with sympathy and their representatives responded like this is a daily occurrence. I believe this to be true.

We ordered flowers for a funeral that never showed and then when we called they claimed that they had “proof” of delivery but couldn’t send it to us. But this was just one of the many lies they told us. They also refused to reimburse us for the expensive bouquet. Please please save yourself from the heartache and use another company.

Found Avas flowers online when I searched for a florist in the small town where my Mom had surgery. Little did I know they were some sort of third party. I thought something was fishy when I ordered a $60 arrangement and that ended up being just over $100! When I asked them how that happened they itemized a card, ribbon and some sort of service fee. (Although it said free delivery.) I should have stopped right there but my Mom was in the hospital for the night and I wanted her to have flowers.
Later in the day I get this cryptic email saying that they need to confirm some details on my order and to please call them. (They had my phone number. I had no idea why they didn't just call me right away!) Turns out they "couldn't find a florist in the area to complete the order". (I now wonder if florists just won't work with them.) Did I want to have flowers delivered to her house instead. No, I stated, I really wanted them delivered to the hospital so please just cancel my order. I had to tell the rep at least 3 times that I wanted my order cancelled and he kept on trying to convince me to just have them delivered later to her house (she lives in an even smaller town so I highly doubt this would have happened either). Finally he relented and said he would cancel the order and send me an email confirmation of the cancellation. No email was received. 3 days later I got a refund for everything except for their $19 service fee! Currently fighting them on that.

Too bad there is not a ZERO star option. Over $100 spent of funeral flowers and THEY ARE AWFUL AND NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO. We even personally called THREE times PRIOR to delivery to very that there would be STARGAZERS and LILIES in the arrangement. We were told of course! The was similar to the $9.99 arrangement available from Walmart. What I find more amazing is that the young lady that answers the phone has NO supervisor she apparently reports only to the CEO. Very rude and non-caring. This was a horrible experience and we are upset that this was the one arrangement the family asked for.....

I ordered flowers online for same day delivery. The company called and said they would not be delivered until 2 days later. However, the delivery had not been made 5 days later. I called and their customer service rep was horrible. Not helpful at all. Was assured someone would call me within 48 hours. So I followed up with an email with an automated response that it would take 8 days to get an actual response. I then called 2 days later to try and track down the flowers I ordered. Horrible experience. Do not waste your time. Pick another company.

Florist fresh, same day delivery, excellent customer service, great prices... all a bunch of hogwash. I ordered flowers on Tuesday morning for Tuesday afternoon delivery. Tuesday afternoon, I was notified that the flowers I wanted were being substituted for something similar. Ok. Then, later on Tuesday I was notified my delivery wouldn't be until Wednesday (so I logged in and changed my message, as it was no longer relevant since the delivery would be later) and they were "upgrading" me to completely different flowers (which although nice, were NOTHING like what I had ordered) and if I had questions to please contact them. I had some questions, and I actually wanted to cancel my order.
The customer service person I spoke with told me that they were upgrading my bouquet and I should be happy. Ultimately, the upgraded flowers, though lovely are not something I or the recipient like. So therefore, as lovely as they are, are not an upgrade. I wanted to cancel. That's not going to be an option, "I'm sorry" is what I was told. I pressed. Finally, I could cancel at a $15 fee. I would still be charged the service fee. SERIOUSLY? After 20 minutes of discussion, I may have gotten very frustrated. I was told that I could have the fresh flowers delivered on Thursday, and they would be almost exactly what I had originally ordered. The local florist was receiving a delivery on Thursday. FINE, I'll take them Thursday.
Fast forward to Wednesday afternoon, I receive a UPS tracking number. I don't think much of it. Until Thursday when I don't see any notification of my delivery being delivered. I call. I'm instantly transferred to another department - delivery. Who, doesn't answer so I'm dumped back to customer service. Who proceeds to tell me that, "Oh, I'm sorry the flowers will be delivered Friday." WHAAAT? I ordered same day delivery for TUESDAY! I had finally come to terms with delivery on Thursday, getting the flowers I had wanted. BUT NOW, not only am I not getting flowers to a dear friend on Tuesday, when she really could have used them. I'm getting SHIPPED flowers FRIDAY... maybe.
I asked for a partial refund. "I'm sorry ma'am, we can't do that." Excuse me?!! Needless to say, after almost another 30 minutes on the phone, I got absolutely nowhere, they tried to tell me I changed the delivery address (absolutely did not), and that they could do NOTHING for me. I've never experienced such awful customer service. What a sham. Avas Flowers offers local, fresh flower delivery, and same day as well as excellent customer service. I received NONE of these things. This is awful. Spend the extra 5 minutes and find a local florist to work with, DO NOT use these folks. They say they are family owned. Yeah, maybe at one time years ago. Now, they are another crappy online retailer who has no care about their customers. A whole lot of BS, wasted time, and frustration. I thought flower shops actually cared about people. My husband and I learned our daughter passed her Nursing Board exam and wanted to send her a beautiful arrangement to her at work to celebrate this milestone. I reviewed the options and came across an arrangement mixed with roses and daisies (among a few other spring flowers). I chose the deluxe version and placed the order. It was HOURS before I received any kind of confirmation, and that was only after spending 20 plus minutes on the phone trying to speak with a human. After the flowers were FINALLY delivered, my daughter sent me a picture and I immediately emailed customer service to express our dissatisfaction. The flowers did not appear to be professionally arranged, and in fact, I certainly could have done a better job. To my amazement they immediately responded, but offered nothing to rectify the situation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I am sickened at reading the reviews now. It is everything I am experiencing. I ordered flowers for an 80th birthday, but she never got the flowers. I am on a goose chase right now on the phone (hung up on 3 times), transferred, dead ends. They are NOT TOP RANKED. They are NOT LOCAL. It is difficult to talk to customer service. However, their website is not an effective way to go either -- no response. BUYER BEWARE!!! Update: I finally talked to customer service and he said "This is a very rare occurrence." I would rate them -100 Stars, if I could! Dealing with Avas Flowers was a nightmare and has been the worst experience of my life! I ordered a large arrangement of flowers for a dear friend's memorial service. I requested that an invoice be emailed to me, yet I only received an email that the order was delivered... when it never was!!! I have contacted the funeral home several times, and my order was never delivered!!! They also spelled my friend's name totally wrong, and the flowers that I ordered were incorrect on the delivery email.
They were also supposed to email me a copy of the information that I gave them to put on the sympathy card, which was an extra $3.99 and $4.99 for a bow, as well as a photo of the flowers. I was placed on hold for long periods of time, and finally requested to speak to a supervisor. I have no idea if I spoke to a supervisor, he just said that he was one. They only offered me a 10% discount. Disgraceful!!! Beware of them and never order from them!

I called Avas Florist at 877-638-3303. I placed an order for a floral arrangement for $37.99. I clearly asked the representative if the number I called was an actual florist shop in Passaic, New Jersey and she assured me they were. I stated that I did not want to place an order from an online floral shop as any intermediary take off cut of the arrangement. She told me my total was $70.00. I was shocked, how do you go from $37.00 to $70.00. She told me She had added a large greeting card and other items I had never asked for. I eliminated all those items.
I sent the arrangement to my daughter for her anniversary. I went to her house the same day and was shocked to see a tiny little round vase with only a few dismal flowers. I was humiliated. I called immediately and the representative hung up on me when I said I was dissatisfied with the arrangement. I sent an email. No one has returned my calls or responded to my emails. This company lies and cheats, do NOT use Avas Flowers.

First, I was searching for a florist in the area I wanted flowers delivered. I got Avas Flowers and called to place an order. The man who helped me was rude, had no idea what he was doing and not helpful. Second, the flowers were delivered a day later than promised and NOTHING like what I ordered. I wish I could post pictures but I was so humiliated. I wanted my mom to know how much she means to me and she got a small bouquet of roses in colors I didn't order with a plain jane vase. I ordered a $75 bouquet with yellow roses, white lilies, greenery and purple flowers and a beautiful blue vase. Now I can't even reach them. They hang up on me before I can even tell them what my issue is. I tried the call-back system because I transferred and on hold for 20 minutes. I got a call-back and was disconnected before a person even came on the line. Please DO NOT order from this company. They are horrible.

On 8/14/19, I placed an online order at their website "avasflowers.com" for an orchid to be delivered for my aunt's birthday on 8/15/19. I received a confirmation email stating "orchid to be delivered on 8/15/19 to aunt's address". She did not receive it. I called them this morning & they refused to cancel the order AND said they were replacing the orchid with some other type flower or arrangement. I said that would not be acceptable. I want an orchid and wanted it delivered on her birthday. They refuse to issue credit and to cancel the order.

0n August 5, 2019, I order a flower from Avas for my mother's funeral: the flowers were to arrive before, noon August 10, 2019: I were at my mother's viewing on that Friday but, no flower were delivered until, after I had left the funeral home: I did not get to see the flowers until, that next day at my mother's funeral: the flowers were mostly missing, and the bow was wrinkle, and torn: the flower were a disgraced, and an insult to our family: everyone were talking about the flower, at the church by my mother's coffin: I contacted Avas on that Monday after, I had arrived back home where I lived, to ask for a total refund, and to tell them the condition of the flower:

I ordered flowers for a sick friend. I didn't want a middleman like 1-800-Flowers, who are very reputable. I wanted a local Boca Raton florist. I thought I had that. I picked the flowers and the website confirmed with the matching photo what I had purchased. WRONG! Not even close. I knew something was a scam when they attached a $15 service and handling fee. WHAT?! I contacted them with this problem. They replied this was what I ordered.
I emailed them back that I would share my experience online, contact the BBB and my credit card...they phoned three hours later. The man offered me a 10% discount - just under $5. I said either he can discount it to what it was worth about $20 bucks or he can eat the whole bill. He also insisted their website says they can substitute. I agreed - substitute with other flowers - NOT AIR! He also told me when they take the photo they pull all the bouquets flowers to the front. Mine were spread out. Oh My God, literally. The only reason I chose one star was because there is nothing less. I looked up florist on laptop and they were close to funeral home. I called and repeated what I wanted 3 times. A unique funeral piece, bowl or square vase w/ 3 Birds of Paradise, staggered bamboo lengths and fresh flowers w/ colors of B. of P. When you order the birds they are suppose to be open so you see the flower and the colors of orange, yellow, purple and blue. I wanted greenery at the bottom of container and other flowers standing tall at least 3 times the height of container but staggered. Associate did not understand. Okay, get a dish garden for the greenery and place all the other as explained. I GOT A 3" deep dish Garden, in a round woven basket W/ 3 closed birds of paradise W/ a sprig of white daisies. How on earth would a "designer" let something like that leave the shop.
I've been around flower shops all my life. So very sorry and embarrassed. No one should ever go through this. I called my Discover card # and complained. They refunded the money but in meantime had to have lots of info. Six months later charge was returned to Discover and said Avas delivered an arrangement. "Arrangement", was that what it was? After Discover settled I tried to call to talk to the Family Owned Business person and got New Jersey of all places. For 2 hours on the phone I finally, after being hung up on once, got to someone that said they would stop sending emails trying to get me to purchase from them again! Never should anyone. They are very unprofessional. They are not concerned with their customers.
All they want to do is take an order and get your money. I told them I did not want to place an order, I wanted them to stop emailing me, 4 times. No one could do that at the shop. It took New Jersey! They are unaccredited and are not worried with details of orders. Their advertising says they are the largest in the area and country. Really! How? I want to see them close so badly I told them everyone I talk to I will tell them how they did not follow description. How long can this go on?

I ordered a flowering house plant online a week in advance for my sisters birthday who lives in Houston, Texas. The day after I received a call from them stating they did not currently have the plant I ordered in stock, so would I accept a different plant. When I told them I didn't know what that plant looked like I was treated as if I was ignorant for not knowing a specific type of plant. I finally said yes as long as it's nice I don't care. The birthday came and went and I heard nothing from my sister concerning the gift. The next morning received an email stating they failed to deliver the item so they were offering 15% off my next order. The following day around 530pm (Houston time) I called and asked my sister how she liked the plant, to find out she still hadn’t received anything.
So I called the Avas customer service line to receive a surprised assistant that said, ”it wasn't delivered?” Then I was placed on hold forever to finally be told they couldn't get ahold of their delivery person. So I finally said just cancel my order only to be told, “We can't because it ”could” be on the truck and they have until 7pm to deliver it. So if it's not delivered today (a day late) call us back and we will cancel and refund your money.” Keep in mind it's 530pm in Houston. I will never ever order from this place again and hope you won't either.

I ordered a sympathy plant for the death of a loved one’s family. I found out that It wasn’t going to be a good time to send something. I went into the customer service part of the site and clicked “cancel order”. I put in my information. It pops up saying I can’t it, please call the 877 number. They advertise easy cancellation if the order is placed within 24 hours. I tried to cancel within 8 hours online. I try it again in the morning and it’s still less than 24 hours. Still won’t let me do it online.
I sit for 15 minutes going through dozens of prompts then wait in dead air for a person to come on the line. She tells me the order is out for delivery. Ummm, no, it’s not because it’s not due to go out for more than another day from now! So she puts me on hold 3 times and tells me I have to pay a $15 service fee! Well, I was no longer nice or patient. I told her I’m not paying that, she insisted that I am. So I told her that I would never ever order from there again and I would be placing reviews of my awful awful experience! So here we are. I should have been paid $15 for my aggravation and time!

Selected specific flower arrangement for same day delivery with a balloon add-on. Not only did they not deliver same day, they changed the entire flower arrangement and they did not send a balloon. So be prepared for delivery terms not being met, flowers being arbitrarily changed out to whatever they like not what you ordered, add ons like balloons not being included with order, and understand they are not local - they are very deceitful by saying they are local to your delivery location ---- they are not. The entire operation is a scam - very deceitful. I cannot believe the business practices. BUYER BEWARE. And good luck getting customer service on the phone - you will need 1.5 hours of time.

Proceed with extreme caution! I ordered a peace lily plant on 8/10/19 at 11 a.m. This plant was for my aunt who passed away on the 5th of August. I ordered online and was depending on the plant to be delivered to the funeral home the day of the service. The service was scheduled for 1 p.m. on the 12th of August. I called the funeral home at 11:30 on the day of the funeral, only to be told that the plant was not delivered.
I immediately called Avas Flowers to inquire about the delivery. I went through all of the automated systems and recordings which took about 10 minutes. Eventually I got a "live" person on the phone. She put me on hold and researched the matter, only to tell me that the plant had NOT been delivered. I was in a moment of shock. She apologized and put me on another hold. She came back on the call and asked for addresses of the family members or the church, saying they could deliver right then. I did not have any addresses at that moment. I also, told her that I thought it would be inappropriate to deliver a flower at the church at the last minute. It was a very stressful and disappointing moment. The only thing the agent did was apologize in a matter of fact way. I ended up canceling the order. I only wish I had checked reviews before going through this trauma on the day of my aunt's funeral.

I was looking for a local florist in Grove, OK because I like the idea of buying locally. When I searched for florists in that town online, Avas Flowers were the first to come up and presented themselves as local. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my brother-in-law the next day. I later received notice that the bouquet I had chosen was “not available” (I took some trouble to choose it!) and that they would be delivering a dozen roses instead - without consulting me - AND a day later than promised! I was very disappointed in their service and after investigation realized they were not local at all, though they presented themselves as such on the internet. I see from internet complaints about mine is a common complaint about this company. I would not use them again!

I bought my mom bouquet of the month for a whole year. Pretty self-explanatory one would think. Deliveries were late or not at all. I had to keep after them every month. Flowers were all roses and a few months they were broken, wilted or definitely not a bouquet. Every time I had to deal with customer service I had to make sure I had 2-3 hours of free time to do so because I was constantly put on hold, transferred, and hung up on. After 5 months I had enough and tried to cancel and get a refund for the last 7 month. 300.00 dollars. It took 2 months for Avas flowers to agree to that refund. I mean come on man. Not providing a service that was paid for is STEALING! 2 months later... STILL NO REFUND! I'LL be reporting to the BBB just as many others have. If you've been burned by Avas flowers, BBB.

Ordered flowers a week in advance for funeral deliver on a Saturday. The flowers were never delivered. Following Monday I was told the designer could not get arrangement processed in time for the funeral, and they would now send (on Wednesday to the home of the family). Now it is Thursday afternoon and told earliest they could get flowers to the family would be next Tuesday. Their customer service via phone is ridiculous, email notifications about order have inaccurate order numbers and customer service numbers. NEVER would I use this company again, and NEVER would I recommend this company to anyone. All I ordered was an extra-large bouquet of sunflowers with white hydrangeas. Really not that big of a deal. They couldn't even send 'anything in replacement' for the funeral. So disappointed - Now they are telling me it will take 1 to 10-days for my refund. Sure didn't take them long to charge me for a service that was never delivered.

Do not order from this company!! I ordered flowers for a friend several states away who had lost her 2 year old from a terminal illness. I ordered over the weekend. I got my email confirmation that the order would be delivered by 12 on Monday. Monday at 3 flowers still didn't arrive, so I called 3 times. Finally the last one told me there was an issue and they'd be delivered the next day by 10 am. I was ok with that. Then I receive an email three hours after they were supposed to be there that they didn't have flowers and was "upgrading my order" to some festive mum's design. Completely opposite of what I originally ordered. A purple and green arrangement for sympathy and the fact green is the little boys disease awareness color. And that it was going to be delivered again a day later.
I called them upset, not only had I spoke to three people the day before and could have been told about this but that they chose what flowers to send instead. So I worked with the lady to get a sympathy arrangement again. This time it's supposed to be green Ivory and very little purple. She is supposed to receive it today, 4 days later. We shall see what she get. Will update if it's not what was described.

DO NOT USE! This is a third party and they're not operating this business because they care about you. The customer service person that took my phone order was very short and would not directly address my questions. They put on a pretense as though they are a local business and will not tell you the name of the local floral designer. I chose this company because their pricing is not inexpensive so I thought they'd do a great job. How wrong was I? First of all don't believe the "Free delivery" posted on their website. I ordered a dozen roses w/ baby's breath (reiterated to the customer service rep three times), a bow, a happy anniversary balloon, a vase, and a card with Happy anniversary words for $101.23. They tell you they can have it delivered in 3 hours which was not a problem because I wanted them delivered the following day. They also tell you they will send you an email of your invoice/receipt and an email /text when the flowers deliver.
Since I'm in a different state than my wife and I didn't want to spoil the surprise I couldn't ask her did she receive them when she called me during her lunch break. Anyway, she did call me about 3 p.m. saying thanks for the flowers and I asked her to send me a pic (attached). Come to find out her name was spelled wrong, the card was not a card but a message on plain computer paper which btw the happy anniversary message was also spelled by an illiterate, there was no bow, no balloon, the vase was no more than a thin glass jar.
When I contacted the customer they offered me a store credit for the balloon and the bow. Well it's not about the money, it's about the memory of my 23rd anniversary and do you think they cared? And since I'll never use this company again what good a store credit going to do me. Also if I find out the name of the local florist I will never use their services either as they used the cheapest products and the arrangement was just awful. Btw, if anyone cares my order # was **. Finally the guy came back to phone and states they would be able to do this arrangement and would deliver flowers that same day. I received an email saying they would be delivered same day then the next day after the funeral was over received an email stating the flowers would be delivered on 8/7/2019 which is one day AFTER the funeral. Yes I called and they refunded my money- but still I felt awful not having flowers delivered to our friend funeral. I would NEVER use again.

Ordered a bouquet for my girl just to say thanks. The only reason that I gave one star was the order arrived on the day it was promised. The bouquet looked nothing like the picture rom the order. It was lopsided and completely disappointing to look at. I went to the site and complained. They requested a picture of the arrangement and I sent it the next morning. I fully anticipated an apology and credit or something to make up for the pathetic arrangement but instead got this message... "...we have determined that the flowers sent are within the recipe and guidelines that the bouquet called for, in the size that you ordered. If any minor substitutions were made, they fall within our Substitution Policy guidelines. Therefore, your order meets the product description." A child could have picked a wildflower arrangement that looked better. Don't waste your time or money with Avas Flowers.

Extremely unhappy with their service. I placed an order for same delivery on a Saturday. I received an email saying it could not be delivered until Tuesday. I immediately called to cancel this order. I did not realize this is not a local florist. They said they would cancel. I just received my Statement and they did not fully credit my return, only partial. They said it they do not do that and there was no one higher that I could talk to. Absolutely Never use this company!!! They are Not a Florist but a service that calls florists in whatever area and then charge extra for that service!!!!

Ordered flowers for an aunt in hospice on 5 Aug 2019, with claims of free and same day delivery. Three days later, flowers never showed up. Cancelled the order, but Avas wants to charge me $15 handling fee. Supposedly for the designer. After talking to their customer service reps each day, they have prevaricated and gave excuses after excuses. I felt I was scammed! Caveat emptor. It pays to read reviews before ordering with this vendor. And they misled me, since they are not a local vendor. Suffice to say, the credit card company sided with me and they placed a dispute on the charges.

My son ordered flowers to be delivered on my birthday which was a weekday. He paid an additional fee to have them delivered more expediently. Not only were they not delivered expediently, they were not delivered until six days later! The excuse for late delivery was that they didn’t have the requested flowers in stock. No one was notified of this situation. Nothing out of the ordinary was ordered. After my son called to inquire as to the delivery status of his order was he made aware of the delay. They then substituted pink roses with thorns still very prominent and leaves not trimmed at all.
The shipping box was flimsy and not insulated. In fact, the box was torn and dented. You could actually feel heat escaping from the box from being in a hot truck. There was no water packet attached to the stems and no water in the cheap glass vase they included. The leaves on the stems were crushed and curling/wilted. No instructions were included in the box as to how to cut the stems, no flower preservative, etc.... I have personally utilized other HIGH QUALITY flower distributors in the past with exemplary results. This company is NOT one of those! If I could possibly rate them as LESS THAN 1 out of 10, I would!

My experience was the same as everyone else. A mysterious $20 added on to the price when checking out. Special sale was listed for online orders only. Surprise! Website would not let me complete the billing part of the online order so had to order on the phone, thereby disqualifying me from the sale. Order never delivered. Tried to cancel order but they would not let me do that. Kept saying they would have to check with another department. I finally disputed the charge on my credit card so that they won't get a penny. At least I won't be losing money like some of the other unfortunate people who have been scammed.

This was far and away the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I ordered a bouquet of flowers and a balloon to be delivered to a new shop on the grand opening day (kind of important that it gets there on that day). I was told it would be delivered by 1:00. Not only was it not delivered by 1:00, I found out when I called at 4:30 that it had not been delivered at all. Very upset, I told the unsympathetic man who I talked to that it had better be delivered first thing the next morning, to which he replied, "It will be there by noon." It was not delivered by noon, in fact, it was delivered about an hour and 1/2 after the shop was closed (around 4:30 or 5:00).
In the last 3 days I have called Avas a total of 8 times, talked to 2 managers, 2 supervisors and numerous other people. I was on hold for well over an hour during all these calls listening to the recording of how important their customers are to them as well as our orders and our phone calls. In the end, I was told I would get a credit for the $7 balloon (that didn't show up anyway). It was as if she was doing me a favor, crediting me for a balloon that wasn't delivered!!! That's all. I would not recommend this floral shop to anyone!!!!

Ordered flowers and fruit basket for a distant retirement celebration. After multiple phone calls, and e-mailing pictures of website view, and what was actually delivered, the 'manager' would only agree to refund 20% of purchase price, and after 5 months has not even honored that. Seriously consider using another source.

Ordered flowers for a funeral on July 30 to be delivered on July 31. Website reported that they had confirmation of delivery. When i arrived at the funeral home my flowers were not there. I called Avas Flowers and was told that they needed to contact the designer and placed me on hold. As I was sitting there Avas Flowers called the funeral home and asked if my flowers arrived. They were told they were not there.
The flower shop then came back to my phone and told me that they could not get ahold of the designer. I asked the lady did she not just speak to the funeral home and they verified my flowers were not there. She told me again that she did not get ahold of the designer and that a supervisor would call me back. I did not get a call back. I finally got to talk to some today and was told that they just got off the phone and that my order was delivered. I then called the funeral home and was told that my flowers were never delivered and they did not receive a call today from them. The flower company refused to give me a refund.

Do Not! I repeat Do Not give them the opportunity to ruin your gift. I ordered flower and balloons from them for a birthday. I later received an email that day stating the flowers weren’t available but they would substitute the arrangement for other flowers. Around 4:45 PM I hadn’t heard from the person receiving the gift so I called the company. I was told due to the flower situation they would deliver the next day at 3. I tried cancelling my order, but they refused. The next day my bank account was billed for $76 when it was supposed to be $54. I called and complained about this and they said as an apology they would credit me $15... WTH. I again tried canceling the order and they again refused. The flowers were later delivered and they forgot the balloons!!! I called my bank and they are handling it now!!

Order number **. So disappointed and very upset. Been trying to get a refund for a order. I ordered flowers for my wife who had been having a very challenging 2 weeks at work. I ordered flowers in the morning of July 31, 2019. They said they will be delivered by 4pm. Received notification at 3:45 that they had been delivered. Called my wife because she had not called or text me at all. I asked if she received a delivery. She said "no, what kind of delivery". I still wanted it to be a surprise so I said nothing. Call Avas because I also saw on the site that they had been delivered.
They put in a ticket, called back, said the delivery will be by 4. 5pm no delivery. I and to tell my wife what her surprise would have been. My wife called me after 6pm stating a driver called her to say he was making the delivery but she had now left her place of employment for home. She told him to leave at the company door. Called and spoke to a manager the next day and asked for a full refund. He said he just needed to verify the time of delivery and I would get my requested full refund. He told me to call back in 24 hours.
I called the next day around 2pm and was told I could not get a refund, I asked to speak to a manager. I was told no manager or supervisor was available and that I could not get a refund. I was told that I could not have the name of the manager/supervisor either. I asked for a call back from one. I was humiliated on Wednesday when I had to tell my wife about a flower delivery for her that never happened AND I was sent a bogus notification that the deliver was made and it was not. This is a horrible way to treat someone who spends almost $80.

DO NOT buy from this company!! They are not local!!!! They did not deliver my order NOR did they deliver on time. PLUS it is supposedly being delivered by UPS??? UNREAL. you can tell this is ANOTHER country that is handling this!!!! I was supposed to get a refund, HAS NOT happened!!!! I asked for manager and supposedly he was. I asked that sympathy flowers for devotional service be delivered Saturday morning and I get an email saying that they will be delivered Saturday evening after the service has been done. I called customer service phone number and there was no way to talk with anyone. They said everything could be done online, but that is not the case. I will never again do business with them. I can’t believe I have similar problems as the rest of the complainants here. I ordered bday gifts online meant to be a surprise for my friend in AZ. I changed the delivery date to another day but when I tracked my order, it indicated the gifts were delivered on the original date and not the one I changed. When my friend in AZ called them (not a surprise anymore). She was told to wait for another delivery which she did, cancelling her lunch date and was late for her dinner date because she waited until the last minute but they never came. No one called and nothing was delivered. To make matters worse, they only refunded half of my money because of the supposed delivery the previous day which they weren’t authorized to do in the first place and my friend never received. So, NO STARS!!! They get ZERO stars from me. DON’T order from this company. They’re frauds and cheats!

I highly not recommended this AVAS Flowers for online delivery. Please order somewhere else. My friend order me a surprised gift for my bday but, they didn’t deliver and never showed up. First my friend order to be delivered 27th and change it to 29th and they agreed with it. Then I waited on 29th all day and wasted my time and day off. So, I called my friend that nobody came. My friend checked and I checked too but it said from the website status of my package “DELIVERED” and we called customer service they said just wait and they will deliver it today 29th. So I’ve waited and waited till night. Nobody came. Now, my friend cancelled everything but, AVAS charged my friend for delivery service. No delivery, no gift and they have charged my friend for delivery services. Do not dare to order to this company. Very very bad experienced.

Purchased flower spray for my only aunt from this company. Specified delivery time by 9:00 am. Visitation started at 9:00 am and services at 11:00 am. Flowers were delivered at 10:57 am. Instructed to write "Beloved Aunt" on the ribbon. "Beloved Aunt" was written with some terrible colored gold on pink ribbon. Contacted Avas customer support via online describing above details. Requested return call. NO one from customer support returned my call.
After returning home, contacted Avas regarding my complaints and dissatisfaction. Stated on their website: Guarantee customer satisfaction. Talked with Avas representative, he stated no refund would be issued due to the fact flowers were delivered. Requested to speak to Avas supervisor. Instructed Avas supervisor would return my call. Have NOT received return return call.

I was charged for a large card which turned out to be a normal gift insert with the top pre-printed greeting cut away from the top (this was for a funeral and the greeting on the paper they used most likely wasn't for that so they just cut it off irregularly). The flowers delivered were of all heights flopping to the sides of the vase and one lily was broken and draped over the side. I was charged for a large white bow and they wrapped a white ribbon around the vase with no bow. It took hours with customer service to track down the order when it was late; sometimes I was cut off but I kept calling back. I was overcharged and it was sloppy work.

I ordered from Ava's Flowers mostly because they had pretty good reviews and they had same day delivery. I placed an ordered for bouquet "Birthday Indulgence" on 7/27/19 afternoon understanding that it was later so for sure my mom would get her flowers on 7/28/19 her actual birthday. Flowers arrived 7/29/19 evening and left on the porch. Who leaves flowers on the porch???!!! And they were not close to what I actually ordered and paid $80 for. I placed an online complaint with pictures attached. Their response was the designer followed protocol based on size and season. Really? I was very DISSATISFIED!! I will never order from them again and will ensure no one I know does as well. Beware! Do not use this company!

If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered an Purple Orchid on July 19th to be delivered on July 28th for my Mother's Birthday. As she lives out of state. Anyway, they contacted me the 29th and told me the flower was unavailable. They should have contacted me sooner to let me know so I could have made other arrangements. Instead they waited until the day after her birthday to contact me. So beyond frustrating and disappointing. Unable to get a refund. We spent $78.00 and it's just gone. Do not buy from this company.

Extremely deceptive people. Once you place an order, very difficult to get hold of someone. Online tracking your order virtually impossible. They will not deliver on time. Avas is a clearing house that takes your order and turns around and sends the order to a brick and mortar flower shop. Do yourself a favor, Call a real florist direct. If you don't know who to use call the volunteers at the hospital in the town you are sending flowers to and ask them which local florist does the prettiest flowers... they see a lot of flowers and know who is best. I suggest asking for a 'designer's choice' of the freshest and prettiest flowers in stock.

Disgraceful to the family. Very disappointed. Customer service has provided NO service and NO compensation. Do not use this service. It is not reputable or dependable. Avas was given adequate notice to deliver flowers prior to an 11:00 AM funeral service. This was a dear family member. The late delivery was insensitive and unprofessional.

I called a florist instead of placing an online order because I wanted to do a specific custom mix of high quality types of flowers - sunflowers, hydrangeas, stock, delphinium. What they delivered was an arrangement of the cheapest flowers there are - carnations, pinks, statice, alstroemerias, and snapdragons. I paid $93 for a mix that cost $5. I called to ask that they re-make an arrangement with the correct flowers that were listed on my order and they would NOT fix the problem. They tried to say that these flowers were comparable to what I ordered! Laughable, I planned a wedding, I know how much different flowers cost. I asked for a refund. They offered me a $20 store credit. Crooks! Do NOT order from this company!

What was delivered looked nothing like what was ordered. They could've cared less. The customer service response was insulting. You pay 65.00 for a large arrangement, they offer "free" delivery but then add on an almost 16.00 "processing/handling" fee. I had used them before & wasn't necessarily dissatisfied but it was never quite as bad as this time. Especially since the arrangement was for a memorial service that I couldn't attend & this just added to the sadness of the day.

I ordered a bouquet to be sent for my sister in law's birthday, 4 days in advance. The company's website says they can provide same-day delivery, so I thought this would be plenty of time. It is now 2 days past her birthday, and the flowers have still not arrived! Customer service has been unable to help - they keep saying they'll check with the florist and the driver. When I called yesterday they said the flowers would definitely get there by last night, but they did not. Today, they said they will be delivered today...yet to be seen. When I asked for a refund, they gave me $5 back.

I ordered a large arrangement - What was delivered was horrible, looked nothing like the image advertised, the arrangement was wilted and no water in the vase. I paid over 95 for a large floral arrangement - they made no changes, the arrangement looked like something you pick up at the grocery store. STAY AWAY from this company, it takes forever to get to speak to anyone, and all of the reps are foreign. Not even customer service in the USA - this company is false - even the reviews they have online on the website are stage. What horrible people to steal your money.

I was trying to complete an order online. There were issues with the website. I called the customer service line. Rep completed the order and gave me my total. I noticed it was much more than I was expecting after I completed the order. When I received the invoice it has no prices for each item only the total so I had no idea where the extra $20 came from. So I called customer service to correct it.
There were 2 things not told to me while completing the order. The "service fee" and a bow I never requested. I said, "Ma'am I the products I was ordering made no mention of a bow nor did the rep." She says it's included with the arrangement. Ma'am "included" means the price does not change when it's added or removed. Then this so called service fee. She says every florist charges a service fee. I said no they charge a delivery fee and this is explicitly disclosed. Then blamed me for approving the charges without doing the math myself to notice the additional items the rep did not disclose. Total scam. Be careful.

I ordered a sympathy floral basket from the Avas website. I was drawn to the website because they were cheaper than 1-800-Flowers and I had a coupon code. The final price ended up being the same as the other sites because they charged a $15 handling fee and also taxes, Nonetheless, I was confident that the "Lavender Standing Sympathy Basket" would be a beautiful gift for the grieving family of a 32 year old friend who passed unexpectedly and whose favorite color was purple. The basket was supposed to have mostly white flowers with a little purple and a lavender bow. It looked high and wide in the picture. Also, I paid extra for a lusher "superior " quality basket." Well, the basket was filled 4 yellow roses and about 5 white carnations and some droopy ferns and what looked like weeds.
Also, it had a yellow bow. I was so embarrassed when I came to the wake. Then, when I contacted customer service they emailed me and told me that they wouldn't proceed unless I sent them a picture of the bouquet. How was I supposed to take a picture of a floral arrangement that is displayed next to an open casket and the next to an open grave?? Unbelievable!!! Also, I bought a "card" for 3.99 to go with the basket and it was just a piece of paper the size of a post-it. This company has no respect for their consumers.

We are a large wealth management company/bank and placed an order for a $100.00 flower delivery in Colorado. Avas delivered to the wrong address and when I called they said it was the address we gave then, yet I'd never heard of the town they indicated they'd delivered to. They refused to rectify, or send the flowers to the correct address and said we would have to pay for the goods delivered. Criminal! OUR COMPANY WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I HAVE FLAGGED THEM COMPANY-WIDE TO NOT USE Avas Flowers again.

This does not even deserve 1 star!! I ordered birthday flowers for my 85 year old mother in law on Monday 7/22/19 - as of today Wednesday 7/24/19 NOT delivered. They LIED and said they were delivered and signed for, no so! I called customer service several times and I was transferred all over the place with no results. I finally had to contact my credit card company for my refund. NEVER AGAIN, family owned business. How are these people still in business, apparently they do not take pride in their company.

I paid $84 for a Luxury Bouquet as a birthday surprise. I was surprised when I saw the pitiful and sparse arrangement initially. When the roses were wilted and dead in 3 days and the petals had dropped on the other flowers the next I was outraged. I called and was given nothing but I should have complained in 24 hours yet the website states 7 days for issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SCAM! The worst florist I ever used! I placed an order two days prior to the wake (Thursday). They did not come in until Sunday; when it was scheduled for Saturday. On top of it, it didn’t look as shown on the picture and forgot the banner which was the most important. They admitted to me on the phone (Sunday) that the flowers arrived and they couldn’t find the one I made because they DELIVERED IT with no banner. Do you think these people had the audacity to even make the banner to complete my order?!? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Didn’t refund me or anything. The card was delivered on the non arrangement flowers that I ordered dirty with a stain on it. These people should be ashamed of themselves in what they did especially for someone who was deceased. I was so heartbroken and livid I cried! I will never use this company again and make sure my family and friends don’t use this company ever again. Disgusting!

Ordered pink and white carnations, Happy Birthday balloon to be delivered 7/22 for my sick sister’s last birthday. Wrong ugly bouquet with purple mums, no balloon, was delivered 6 days early. Avas Flowers said they would not refund but would deliver correct bouquet & balloon on 7/22. Nothing came on her birthday. That was a lie! Will try to stop payment through my credit card. They don’t call me back and can’t talk to anyone. This is the worst business I have used. Also they say free delivery but charge a $13.99 handling fee. They also advertise like they are a real local florist but they are actually a huge call center in New Jersey, doesn’t care how many orders are screwed up or how many people are hurt by their actions. DON’T USE AVAS FLORIST!???

From the start, my experience was terrible. I researched floral arrangements online and chose Avas Flowers - Floral Harmony Bouquet-Large version for $69.99. In the picture, the arrangement looked quite substantial. The actual arrangement that was (finally) delivered was quite a bit smaller and certainly not $69.99 worth. It did not look anything like that which was advertised. Further, I had trouble with customer service as well when they reported the flowers had been delivered, but actually had not been delivered. This is not a service I'd recommend - totally not worth the frustration. Better to order through your local florist where business owners understand the meaning of customer service and you can have a conversation about expectations.

The following is breakdown of the order process and the subsequent service or lack thereof. I had placed an order for a delivery of flowers and a fruit basket after several minutes of searching the site for something that I liked and would deliver on the date I requested. The site was explicit in noting which item could not meet the delivery expectations and which items would. Having settled on the item I paid $189 for both the flowers and the fruit basket. I received a text code confirmation that needed to be submitted to confirm the order.
48 Hours later, I received an email noting an issue with the fruit basket based on availability and seasonality along with an offer of a $15 credit. The customer service representative made it his duty to repeatedly note that the order missed their deadline without any acknowledgement to the fact that is did in fact reject that date for the other items and accept the one that I placed. He also offered a discount of 15% (upped from 10%) but only for the fruit basket amounting to less than the $15 credit.
I suppose the straw that broke the camel's back was when customer service insisted that the flowers had been delivered when they were not and finally acknowledged they were not but again moved blame from first confirming they were delivered to {it was a mistake on my part} some 48 hours after submitting the order. Awful service, poor system set-up, completely dishonest follow-up and lack of any empathy even when the fault lies squarely on their shoulders. I shall never use this service again ever!!!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from Avas.

I ordered flowers for my Mother's birthday, which was yesterday (7/18). I ordered them to be delivered on her birthday (7/18). I knew that they delivered up to 7 pm, so after not hearing from my mom by 7 pm, I checked the website to get delivery confirmation and they said the product had been delivered. I called my dad and asked, and they had not received anything and had been home all day. They received no phone calls from anyone attempting to deliver anything. I opened up a ticket on their website to see what happened. This morning, I got a reply that there had been "an attempt" to deliver on 7/18 and they would deliver it today (7/19).
My mother cancelled plans and stayed home all day waiting for this delivery. I called first thing in the morning to confirm the delivery and delivery address. I let them know of my time constraints--that they would only be there until 4 pm today and then they would be leaving for a vacation after 4. It is now 4:12 pm and there was no delivery. I called to request the refund and spoke to a supervisor named Alyssa. I was put on hold while she attempted to contact the designers for status. This is the 3rd time today I have gone through this hold and for the 3rd time today, I was told they were unable to reach the designers. I was told that she is sending a direct message to the designers and she'll call me back with a resolution options.
I informed her that the only resolution is a full refund since they did not deliver nor attempt to deliver like they are claiming. My parents have the Ring Doorbell. They have video evidence that no one came to the door yesterday. They were home all day yesterday and today. Ring would have sent them a notification to their phone had anyone come to the door. There was no attempt to deliver. There was no phone call to arrange delivery, neither yesterday nor today. They did not uphold their end of the contract and therefore, I deserve a full and complete refund for all my money.

I ordered flowers from this company on July 1, 2019. The cost was 68.94 charged to my credit card. The recipient never received the flowers. I contacted the company via email on July 6 when I got an auto response saying they were looking into the matter. I emailed again on July 15th. I got a generic email today 7/16 saying they have been trying to contact me but have been unsuccessful. There is no log of them calling on my phone, nor have they left any message. This company is a scam and I wish I had read the reviews before placing the order. This company will steal your money. Do NOT ORDER FROM AVASFLOWERS.NET. AVASFLOWERS.NET IS A SCAM. BE WARNED.

Updated on 07/21/2019: This is my second review of this company. The reason for this review is a couple updates. First, flowers were finally delivered to my sister. They were 5 DAYS LATE. And the only reason they were only 5 days late is because I had to call, and email, and call and email before I got any response. I had my sister send me photo of arrangement, Remember I paid over $90 for this arrangement. When she sent it I could not believe how embarrassing it was. I emailed the company immediately. They said the flowers fit in their guidelines of being similar to the ones online. So I was not pay any refund. WOW WHAT?!?! You judge for yourself! On the left is what was delivered. On the right is what I ordered.
Original review: My precious sister’s husband of 30 years passed away. I ordered a sympathy bouquet from Avas Flowers to be delivered on the 12th. Today is the 16th and they have yet to be delivered. And there hasn’t been an attempt made either. Four days ago, I created a help ticket for this matter. Never heard back from them. Called them again today. Hours later they sent me a text requesting urgently that I call them. When I do, they ask why did I call? I give them the order information. And instead of taking accountability, they tell me there was some miscommunication, but they were going to “HELP ME OUT BY SCHEDULING A DELIVERY TOMORROW?!?!” What???? You didn’t help me, I paid for that delivery to be made 4 days ago!!!!
Also, good luck talking to a human when you try to call and follow up on an issue. The price seemed reasonable until I got to the end of the order and there was a huge service fee tacked on. And don’t even bother taking the survey immediately following your order your order. They mislead you to believe that by filling out the survey you will get a huge discount on your next order. But what they offer you as a sign up to a magazine subscription! I explained that this is not a company I would like to do business with in the future. And I can’t even comment to the product because we haven’t seen it yet!

Oh, Avas Flowers, how do I hate my experience with you? Let me count the ways. At least this will be the first and last time I have to put up with your lack of competence. First off the "Free" delivery isn't free. They don't charge shipping but do charge a $18.99 "handling fee". So basically we're going to take a delivery fee and call it a handling fee and say "we don't charge for shipping." That should have been the first red flag.
I called for same-day delivery yesterday on my daughter in law's birthday. I went with Avas because the phone rep PROMISED they could deliver that same day. Well, 8 pm rolled around and my daughter texted me that nothing was delivered. I called today and was assured that the arrangement would be delivered today. It's nearly 4pm, nothing has been delivered, the website has zero information for tracking and when I call customer service the phone rings and loops and rings and loops until it finally goes silent. The agent I spoke to this morning came right out and told me that the salesperson I spoke to yesterday lied about being able to deliver on the same day. She did refund $10 on the order.

I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere for your florist arrangement. I am absolutely disappointed with this company! I ordered a bouquet for my boyfriend's mom to be delivered on his birthday. I have not met her yet and I wanted to make a good impression. On his birthday, she messaged him a photo of the flowers and when he showed me, for a second I thought someone else had sent her flowers. The bouquet was small and puny and had more green leaf foliage than flowers. The picture online showed at least five different varieties of flowers and the bouquet only had three. I paid exactly for "As Shown" so there is not excuse why the bouquet is not what I paid for. This company is full of false promises! I paid $68.94 with service fees and King Soopers could have made a better bouquet for $20! This company is a rip-off and they should be shut down!

Fraud or Irresponsible? Order # ** date 07/13/2019. Issue 1 - Promised guaranteed hand delivery on time before payment. Issue 2 - Right credit card payment the receipt come with confirmation, “This order has been placed on FLEX DELIVERY! We will do our best to try and deliver by this time however it is not guaranteed." – the order time had disappeared??? 3 - Phone call to customer service which guaranteed the delivery to be on or previous the party time set at noon. Issue 4 - Tracking e-mail: "Your order is scheduled for delivery.” - Delivery time disappeared again. Delivery will happen sometime between morning till evening????
Issue 5 - 04:50:26 PM CDT, Avas Flowers, “Our system indicates that your order has been reported as successfully delivered!” 6 - At 5:58 PM I report, “The delivery never happened.” Issue7 - At 6:45PM receive a call from a delivery YELLING lady who couldn’t find the doorbell and wanted to leave the flowers outside??? Issue 8 - Quality of product – not to what was expected - color dominance had changed. Issue 9 - Cherry on Pie - Full size Greeting Card Service ($3.99) reduced to a printing paper slip. I like to attach picture. Judge for yourself. Is this Fraud or Irresponsible?

My husband ordered flowers through Avas for his sister. Promised delivery date was not honored. Bouquet did not have colors requested. Quality was poor. Ridiculously high service fees (charged $75 on a $45 arrangement). When we called to complain they said we were past the 24 hour window (for flowers that had not even been delivered yet), but "upgraded" the bouquet as a courtesy. It looks like something I could have bought at the grocery store for $15. They also said they would refund us $20 but only refunded $5. 100% poor service. Will never recommend this company to anyone, ever.

I ordered an arrangement to be delivered the following day. I received an email asking me to call them. The Rep stated that the "local" florist couldn't deliver the day I requested due to a medical issue. I asked which local florist they were using and the Rep at Ava's said she did not know but that they could deliver the day after my requested date and for my inconvenience they would upgrade the arrangement I ordered and also give me a credit to be used at a later date. Avas website is deceiving because they state that their deliveries are from a local florist.
When the arrangement was delivered to my neighbors via UPS, I went to see what exactly was delivered. What a disappointment! The arrangement I ordered is not what was delivered. The flowers that were delivered were nothing but filler flowers, not even close to what I ordered. The flowers were rubber banded together, a vase was in the box and the recipient was supposed to make her own arrangement with the horrible flowers they provided. NEVER use Avas Flowers. They are a rip off. I emailed them with my concerns, but, of course, I have not received a response and don't expect I will.

PLEASE use your social media network to spread the word about this company. My experience almost identically reflects those of the other 1-star reviews here, and I too would give a ZERO if I could. The Gory Details: I spent 21 minutes on phone with customer service (INCLUDING a manager) to my order to make sure that they had the details right: I cheerfully OFFERED to pay extra to ADD Stargazer lilies to the "DELUXE" (=$84.99) version of their purported "Sunflower Symphony" as shown online. I was dumbfounded at what was delivered -- at a cost of $120+. It was small, meager, and -- as others say in these reviews -- a total embarrassment in representing my sentiments, not to mention a waste of money.
I spent 2 days in email exchanges AND on the phone with the company -- which BTW is based at 300 Corporate Drive, Mahwah NJ 07430-3616, phone (201) 882-4963. (Jersey folks, plz help - they ARE local there.) I too received a $12.78 "refund" to make me feel better about dissatisfaction, AND a BONUS $20 credit toward my next order...RIGHT. CLEARLY a scam: Avas is nationwide (incredible), although you can't tell that from the website. They must pay some poor local florist about $30 to deliver something, and then pocket the rest, and ASSUME that they will have to absorb the 15% Unhappiness Rebate as a cost of doing business. I doubt they seriously expect any of us to ever cash in on the $20 credit toward another purchase. Duh. Neat trick.
AND they were founded in 1977, so they've been running this model for a long, long time. I'd love to see authorities examine this classic Bait-and- Switch cooking of the books. Yes, I AM mad. Please do use social media to spread the word. Most of us who have used Avas have done so in good faith and in a rush, to send congrats or condolences or SURPRISE or "I love you" -- not checking reviews. I placed an order yesterday, and was told they would be delivered yesterday Friday, and so far today at 5:15 p.m. they have not been delivered. I called earlier upset, and wanted to cancel order and was told that I couldn’t because they were already out for delivery. Really?? I also told them that I would never order from them again! Right after I said that, they told me that they put $15.00 credit on my account for my next order. Really? I said, "Did you not hear me say I would never order again?" The flowers I ordered were an embarrassment. My wife called me a cheapskate as she believed I could not have spent more than $19 for this anniversary bouquet - which cost $79 and was supposed to be (according to the sales rep) extremely impressive. Problem is, it was impressive AS IT WAS TERRIBLE. Customer service repeatedly put me on hold and then disconnected me. I sent them a picture - at their request - only to be told they NEVER received it - THREE TIMES. Finally I spoke to a person and they did not hang up. They admitted they had the picture. They said everything was as it should be. Customer service stinks. The flowers stink. I would give them 0 stars if the option existed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WISH TO BE DISAPPOINTED AND GIVEN THE RUNAROUND.

I purchased a flower arrangement online and made a mistake on the recipient information so per their site and phone message modifications to your order can be made online so that is what I did. Today the flowers were delivered to my house instead of the funeral they were intended for. When I contacted customer service their only response was "we never received your modification". How convenient. Will never use their services again. Expensive lesson learned.

Ordered hydrangeas for my Mother in law's birthday and instead she received a half dead, bug infested "peace lily". I made a complaint on the website and included pictures of what was received as well as a screenshot of what was specifically ordered. No answer. Two days later, I called and was connected to their call center and after nearly 20 mins on hold they said that they could give me a 10% refund. I declined and explained that I would only accept what I ordered to be delivered. They put me on hold and "spoke to a manager", came back and said what the correct basket would be delivered the next day. It wasn't. I emailed the next day and received a response that the basket would be delivered the next day. It wasn't. It's now a week later and still nothing. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST.

I ordered flowers for my daughters 1st Mother’s Day the day before Mother’s Day with a verbal guarantee from the sales person they would get there no later than the day after, but that he’d put a rush on it. Not only did they arrive 2 days after the verbal guaranteed delivery date they were delivered to the incorrect address the day before. My daughter received the flowers without the balloons ordered and paid for. I tried to cancel my order when the flowers weren’t delivered on time (and before the delivery) but was denied. I wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered. If you don’t have 100 dollars to throw away, stay away from ordering from Avas!

I ordered flowers for a funeral service that were never delivered. I spent $$$ for a no show. I should have been skeptical as after I ordered I never did get an email receipt or confirmation like I was promised. I did call to ensure delivery at the proper time as it was an early morning (8:30 am) viewing at the funeral home. I was assured they would be delivered. Needless to say the flowers never showed up.
When calling to ask about why the flowers never showed up I got told that they tried to deliver to the funeral home and the delivery got refused and to send them to the church where the service was being held. They did not contact me the customer. They did (as they say) deliver to the church. The problem being that there were 2 services that day one at 11 am and one at 3:30 pm. The flowers were used for the 11 am service. I am 99% certain of this fact as they told me on the phone that the flowers were delivered for the 11 am service. I never once provided guidance as to what time the church service was nor was I contacted and asked. If they had a delivery problem they should have contacted the customer (me) to ask for further delivery information. Instead they listened to a third party and needless to say some stranger got the expensive flowers I ordered for my family.
I am glad for them but enraged that the sentiments of comfort and care did NOT go to my own family. Calling to remedy the situation was it own frustrating process. I called once. They said they would check into it and call me back. No return call. I called again 3 days later. They replied that they needed 24 hours to investigate the situation and would contact me. No contact was made. I called a week and a half later to get the status. I got hung up on. I called again the same day and got the runaround. Basically they said the service was provided and the flowers were delivered. It is not "up to them" to make sure that they were used for the correct service. SAY WHAT? Isn't that what I am paying for? They offered me a $20 in store credit for a further purchase. I DON'T think so. Don't ever order from this company especially for important sentimental one lifetime event occurrences.

Ordered flowers from Avas for my husband's birthday, as we are living thousands of miles apart. I thought they were a local florist, but the flowers shipped from New Jersey to Washington via UPS. They did not arrive on his birthday, were not delivered to his business but to another business in the building, and were wilted when they arrived. So disappointed because these flowers were meant to be a surprise and indication to my husband I was thinking of him.

I received a phone call from a local florist at 2:00 p.m. on 7/8/19 saying that they had received the order that morning (7/8/19) and that it would be delivered that afternoon. July 6, 2019 ordered an $80 bouquet online. This was my sister's last birthday as she is dying of cancer. I received a phone call from my sister that a cheap, wilted "week old" bouquet arrived with broken stems. The delivery man only said "Sorry". I phoned customer service immediately to complain and demand a refund. My sister placed the bouquet on her doorstep for return to the local florist used Olas in Everett. This florist has a 1 star rating as does Avas when I checked on Yelp today. Seems many, many other customers have had the exact same experience with Avas or worse. Customer service agent "Louis" said he had to speak to his "designer," and call back but he never did. Avas is not a reputable business and delivers poor quality product if at all. Suggest customers stay clear of this business.

Bouquet advertised not the same as Bouquet delivered. My complaint was handled with $10 credit for new sale from this company. Representative answer - a flower bouquet was delivered! When googled the company, it makes it look like they are local. I ordered flowers, chocolates and a balloon for a cousin having surgery. They were a day late, the flowers were not in a vase and not what I ordered, they did not call ahead as instructed and left them on the porch steps in over 90 degree heat. When called, got a call center not a local florist. Was offered $15 company credit, then $10 off of my $80 dollar order. Horrible service. Do not use this company!

It is now July 1st and they have not been delivered. They promised deliver on the 25, then the 26, then July 1 and today they have not been delivered and they can’t get a hold of the designer that is supposed to be designing and delivering the flowers. They have not been able to get a hold of the designer since last Wednesday. Not sure what designer they use that they can’t get a hold of them. Ava's flowers has these cute little storefronts to suck you in and make you believe you are dealing with a local florist. And if you live in another state, how would you know? Well, don't be fooled. This is big business - they are really 1-800-Flowers and they use random vendors to make the arrangements and deliver them. On two separate occasions I have ordered flowers for my elderly mother - in both instances they sent shoddy, broken, dead, mismatched, crappy arrangements. Neither were what I ordered, or even close. I could have done better on the $5.00 Walmart counter. On the second occasion I also purchased a card that did not get delivered.
Royal Kiosk of Selma, NC delivered in both instances. Why Ava's hasn't FIRED this horrible company is beyond me. Ava's replaced the first arrangement with another, but again Royal delivered it and so it still wasn't what I ordered. And it was still ugly. This second time around I've complained and been told the work falls within their substitution guidelines. What a cop-out. My poor mother actually cried because she was upset that I spent hard earned money on something so bad. Ava's and Royal will NEVER EVER get our business again. I highly recommend you stay clear unless you want to throw your money away.

The flowers that my husband sent with very good intentions were wilted, chocolates melted and no response from the company. I work in Miami and we have fresh flowers available every day delivered to our building for our purchase. So I know what fresh flowers look like and don't have unusual or unrealistic expectations. These roses were not looking good from day one.
On top of that, the chocolates were like water. Everyone knows not to leave chocolate in a hot delivery van while out for delivery. The water in the vase with the flowers was even hot. No wonder why they were wilty. I tried contacting the phone number and was put on hold for 20 minutes waiting for the delivery department. This was after my fourth attempt to get a live body to answer the phone. Then I emailed them and 5 days later there's no response at all from the company. Very poor customer service. So I'll deal with writing this one up to a bad flower company who doesn't care about its customers.

I ordered a beautiful arrangement for my grandmother. She lost her mother, my great grandmother, on Tuesday. I felt the arrangement was appropriate because purple was her favorite color and she loved carnations. Instead, Ava sent out a dozen pink roses. When I contacted customer service I was advised that their "minor" substitution was within their Substitution Policy. I would hardly call this a minor substitution. The arrangement I ordered had four different types of flowers in it and is shades of purple. The sympathy flowers they sent my grandmother are PINK ROSES. Completely unacceptable. I will not be doing business with them again.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers that I stressed needed to be lavender and cream color roses because it was to go on a wedding cake and that was the color scheme. I was assured numerous times that is what I would be sent by 1pm the next day. The bouquet arrived after 5pm the next day and it had red and pink roses. I had to take more time and money to search for the correct flowers on the morning of the wedding day! I made several calls to Avas Flowers only to be put on hold for extended periods of times and be offered 50% refund then a 25% refund and then nothing at all because they said it was in the recipe of the order.
I later researched the company with BBB and found they had over 1,500 complaints for similar incidents with their company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY!! I wish I had time to review them before I ordered because I would have not made that mistake. On their website they claim to be a 5 star rated company which is completely false! Just go to the Google reviews for their company and you will see they have more 1 star rating then all others. Hope this helps out any other potential victims.

Had a friend going in for surgery, spent $120 to have flowers sent to their home. Avas took the $120, and did not deliver the flowers. Despite many back-and-forth conversations with them, they would not refund the money, or deliver the flowers. Avoid. They're literally just scamming people.

I was away on business and haven't seen my wife in almost 2-weeks. And, since it was my wife's birthday on June 17th, I decided to order a beautiful arrangement of flowers and have it delivered to her office in San Tan Valley, AZ as a surprise. Based on the website picture, I ordered a very nice medium size bouquet (~3X larger than the vase) in a nice vase with a pretty ribbon, and I added four balloons in the morning of June 17. Since they advertise "same day delivery service" I wasn't worried, AND the business where my wife works doesn't close until 8 PM. They don't even close during their lunchtime (which is significant to this scam). The total came to $73.68. A small gesture of my love for my wife on her birthday.
Meanwhile, I dropped a few hints that she was getting a surprise and to look for it later that day (her birthday) at her office. My wife was very excited. She told all the ladies in her office "that a surprise was coming and to look out for the delivery later that day". I was very relieved and happy in the anticipation of making her day that much more special. Later that night I called and talked to my wife after she came home and asked how she liked her surprise. She was sad to say that nothing arrived and ALL the other ladies were waiting to see what the surprise was.
At 5 am the next morning (June 18) I went to Avas Flower website and found out that they had reported the "delivery was complete". Of course, I knew that was a lie and immediately sent a note to tell them they are dishonest and unprofessional AND I wanted a 100% full refund because the flowers were not delivered on my wife's birthday. After completing two reports, the only response was a 'boilerplate' response email indicating they were going to address the issue. Then on Wednesday, June 19th my wife reported that they delivered her flower arrangement. The flowers came in a mason jar filled with water and included 3-wraps of thin ribbon and one balloon. The flowers were already wilted and were a very small arrangement. It was then I knew this was definitely a scam!
I called Avas Flowers customer line and spoke to a guy for "25 minutes" who kept repeating that the order was made and there's nothing he could do to help. Finally, I said I wanted to talk to his boss and he said that he will call me back to discuss my concerns later today. I waited all day (today) and nothing happened, but I'm not giving up until I get a full refund. Avas Flowers is dishonest and unprofessional company!! John

I ordered a funeral spray of only white flowers to be delivered to a service on June 23 at 10:00am. The flowers should have been at the site by 8:00am. After getting a call from my husband that the flowers were not there at the service I called Avas customer service number. I called three times and each time they told me that the flowers were on the way. The service started and the flowers did not come. I called customer service again and they finally got ahold of the florist who told them that they delivered the flowers to the site but that the delivery person dropped the flowers and ruined the arrangement. They had no time to fix it. I did not get a call from Avas telling me this
Instead I had to call them to find this out. They offered to send the broken flower arrangement to the gravesite or to the family home. Can you believe that? Seriously? Wtf kind of customer service is that? I was so mad screaming at them that I could barely hear myself. They were not even going to tell me that the delivery did not happen. Maybe I would not know yet they were going to still charge me for it.
I told them that I was not going to pay for their mistake and that I wanted a full refund. They processed a transaction to put through a refund and that better go through. If I was at the funeral, I would have been so mad that I would be crying at the sheer embarrassment to my family. Instead my husband and his mother were just disappointed and embarrassed. Dont use this company. They screwed up and weren't even going to tell me what happened and still charge me for it. I am very angry at their stupid mistake. They should fire the delivery guy who dropped the arrangement. My order number **.

What a terrible company to do business with! I wanted to send flowers for my daughter's birthday and thought this might be a good company since they are in the same city in Nevada. THEY ARE NOT and didn't deliver. Apparently they want the recipient of the flowers to stay home - all day - waiting for something to be delivered that is a SURPRISE! My daughter didn't know she was getting anything! They say they have been in business for 30 years so you would think they would figure that out on their own.
When it was not delivered on her birthday (for a party she was having that night and I wanted the flowers there for that), I called and asked for a status on the delivery. They said it was my fault for not telling them to leave it on the doorstep! Why didn't this company of "30 year" know to ask that question of me when I paid for the order? I told them, "Yes, leave it at the door" and they said they would deliver it again Friday afternoon BUT THEY DIDN'T! AGAIN! Because the robot-like person I was just on the phone with said there was no one home to receive it. Not a pleasant experience and will not deal with them again. They promised a delivery in time for Mothers' Day with a card and said they could meet my specific request for the flowers. I phoned afterwards to find out why the arrangement had not been delivered. They promised an upgrade and a refund for delivery a few days later. The "upgrade" was something entirely different to what we had agreed. There was no card. They didn't get the flowers right. They didn't get the delivery right. They didn't bother with the card. The refund was $5.99 on an order of $106.55.
Their customer service people just stalled. They promised a reply to my email, but didn't reply. They promised to call back and didn't. On my fifth call they had the cheek to tell me it was now a month since the delivery so it was too late to complain. Pursue a refund through your bank. The customer service people will just stall you. There is a reason they don't participate in the Consumer Affairs Platform and have (at the time of writing) an F rating from Better Business Bureau.

The flowers I ordered from Avas' florist looked nothing like the beautiful arrangement on their web page. The arrangement received had a fraction of the flowers that was pictured on the we site but more Importantly, the arrangement did not look professional. A child could do better. The worst is the cost shown was $42.99 but I found out that did not include the vase and Service which took it to $71. I could do better for about $25 worth of flowers. Also the clear vase I requested was not sent. A green vase was sent. I Should have read all these reviews before ordering.

Called Avas Flowers at 9 am and asked if they could deliver flowers to my Brother-in-Law's funeral service at 5:30pm the same day. They said absolutely, "no problem." They charged my credit card and then called back at 4pm to inform me there was no way they could now deliver the flowers and asked for an address so that they could deliver them the next day. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I will NEVER use these guys again and I STRONGLY suggest you use someone else as well.

They promise early morning delivery. Not only did that not happen twice.The flowers got delivered a day later, at 430 PM. They lie through their teeth to get the sale then you will spend a ton of time trying to figure out why you did not get a call from your recipient that they were delivered. I ordered a sympathy bouquet with a promised delivery before 1p which was the memorial service starting time - received email confirmation of delivery. At 10:50am flowers not delivered. Called them at 12:55p. Advised driver was enroute. Flowers not received until after service! Phoned them direct and they said they would refund flowers and send out same flowers to mother of deceased. Called them today and they said they changed their mind and admitted what they said before was correct but they changed their mind. No way they will only discount original order by 40%. I ordered the mellow yellow flowers to the tune of $75.00. Not only was the arrangement barely yellow it was comprised entirely of cheap filler flowers. No roses, no tulips, majority being carnations which were white, and two sunflowers which I’m guessing they were counting as the “yellow”... Beware. This company does not post the negative reviews on their website, all their reviews are sent for “review” before being posted. I’m guessing in reading the other reviews Ava’s Flowers will not do right by me and give me any compensation back for the terribly overpriced worthless bouquet they sent. But I’ll never use them again and I’ll be sure to tell everyone throughout the hospital I work for (which utilizes flower companies constantly) to never order from Ava’s. What was delivered was a small yellow and orange arrangement in a vase that wasn't even similar to the picture of what was ordered. I called and expressed my disapproval of what was delivered and the only options offered were a $20 store credit, which I definitely wasn't interested in, or a 10% refund which only amounted to $8.99 on my $100 purchase. Because the flowers were not on a stand, they were not even carried to the cemetery for the burial and it looked as though we had just purchased the bare minimum. There is no reason to even show pictures of flower arrangements to choose from if they are just going to send over what they want. This company should be shut down, they are ripping people off!

Did not make the guaranteed delivery time. In fact, they missed it by 5 days!! Did not send the flowers I ordered. I also paid extra for an upgraded arrangement and a balloon. 5 days later, the arrangement was delivered and left in the sun on the porch in a box (100 degree weather). What was delivered was a box with a hand bouquet (like you pick up at the grocery store) and a separate vase. It was not an arrangement. No arrangement, no water, no bow, no balloon and a 5 day late delivery. Customer service was not very helpful and had very long wait times and hard to understand help. It was embarrassing to have the recipient of the flowers have to put her own arrangement together. Horrible experience.

Ordered flowers for my anniversary 4 days in advance. They decide to call 2 hours before the end of the day to tell me they would not be able to deliver because they are out of flowers. WHAT! Told me they could deliver the next day with 30 percent off. Yeah explain that to my wife. Will never do business with them again. Worthless.

Do NOT Use this company. Made an order to be delivered for the Saturday before Father's Day, even spoke to the shop in Beverly Hills. Saturday afternoon I get a text confirmation that the flowers were delivered. I call the recipient on Sunday. No delivery, no flowers. I call Sunday. Spoke to a Customer Service Rep, told them about the delivery text I received but yet, no flowers. I said, if they can't get the flowers out today for Father's Day then cancel the order.
I call Monday to get a status, they tell me, they could not deliver the flowers because no one was home. I wasn't called, the recipient wasn't called and all I had was a confirmation from Avas that it was delivered. Not only that, but the recipient already received food basket that was left on their doorstep on the same day from Avas but not flowers? Tried to cancel the order because they decided to ship it out today, a Father's Day gift, received on Monday. They did not have notes from my 3 previous conversations with Customers Reps and said they would have to charge me $30.00 to cancel because the store had made up the flowers and were sending today, Monday for a Saturday order. No phone call, no delivery. A decision they took upon themselves. This took hours. I rate them a ZERO. DO NOT USE.

I ordered an arrangement for my sister and what was delivered looked nothing like what I purchased and they didn't send the balloon I paid for. After contacting the company I was told that the subs were within guidelines of what they allow. Complete waste of money...Do not support this company. I also thought they were local, but they aren't. They are just another big flower seller that then contracts out to local florists.

I ordered flowers on Sat June 8th. They pretend to be local and promise things they cannot do. I was told no problem to get the flowers delivered same day. I was told I would receive text message when they were delivered. I received nothing that day. The next day at 8 am I received a email saying my order was scheduled for delivery. No delivery that day. When I called later in the day I was told they could not be delivered and that I had been notified. I was not notified. They said could not be delivered until Monday but I would get 10% discount for late delivery (which I never got). The flowers were delivered finally on Monday. I will never use Avas Flowers again. They should not tell you something they cannot do.

I ordered balloons for my significant other's birthday. The website and customer service promised same day delivery. After 3 days of calling them and requesting online support, I have still not received my order. This is incredibly disappointing since a birthday comes only once a year. The same day delivery would have arrived the day of the birthday, not days later when it is no longer the person's birthday.

The flowered that were delivered were nothing like what I ordered not even a resemblance. They were so small and sparse. I paid to size up and what was delivered was smaller than even the small size on the website. Why do they do that to people. I have pictures of what delivered and what I ordered. I ordered from Los Angeles area to be delivered in Washington. I have never ever been so disappointed. $85 down the drain. Now they don’t even answer the phone.

Half of order not delivered. I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from Avas. I Googled "Florists in Manistee, MI" and this came up. Not realizing that it wasn't a local company, I ordered two arrangements for my Mother's funeral. The order that was transmitted to a local florist was only for one and that is what was delivered. You only get one chance to honor someone's funeral. Avas blew it big time. Although they did refund the amount for the missing arrangement, it was a disappointment. DO NOT ORDER FROM AVAS - Use a REAL local florist.

I paid $68.80 for flowers for my coworkers farewell luncheon. I initially requested at 10:30 am delivery but they ended up came 4 pm! Of course the party was over. Furthermore, the flower was way too tiny for what I paid. It was huge disappointing. Never again.

This place is literally the worst florist I’ve ever come in contact with. To say it’s a scam is an understatement. They guaranteed same day delivery for my mom's birthday and emailed to say that they didn’t have a delivery person but would add extra stems and deliver first thing in the morning. I gave them another chance. Flowers were delivered at 4 pm next day. No extra stems. Looks nothing like the picture. When I contacted customer service they said the product was within the description and that they followed the “recipe” and basically told me too bad that I didn’t like them. I even asked specifically for no bright colors! The flowers were not even arranged whatsoever and just thrown in clumps together. I’ve asked for a refund with no response. They do not have florists working here. I could do a better job myself. They couldn’t care less about satisfying a customer. Do not use this company!!! It’s a scam!

I ordered a set of flowers for my gf a week ago. I wanted to get her a bouquet of sunflowers (and other yellow flowers) cause they’re her favorite. I ordered it and they let me know that a part of the bouquet was out of bloom but didn’t specify which ones but they’d have a flower designer take care of it. A day later they arrive and look NOTHING like the flowers I ordered. They had pink, purple and other types of flowers I wasn’t expecting. Don’t spend your money here. They only offered 20$ back from the 70$(!!!!) order.

I ordered a large floral arrangement over the phone for my 20-year-old female niece's funeral. I made it clear that I wanted (and paid for!) a LARGE arrangement of white and light pink roses and Calla lilies and a third flower such as white daisies with some contemporary greenery. But the flowers delivered had merely 5 roses and 5 Calla lilies with a tiny smattering of greenery. I was embarrassed!

Not only did they NOT deliver flowers to my aunt's funeral, they left me on hold for over an hour on multiple occasions! After 10 yes 10 attempts they told me I had already spoken with a manager. Oddly that was my wife, and she too was given the same retroact, and I quote “The supervisor is in a meeting" and her manager is not in the office. So if you are looking for a Forest with integrity, don’t even consider AVAS!!! BTW, I would give a “0” if it was an option!
