Free shipping with Prime membership ($99) last Oct. This includes movies + TV. I rarely use it. Easy returns because unlike Walmart, Amazon includes return shipping labels. Products usually arrive very quickly. Once a seller company described a product as something it was not. I was furious because it wouldn't function as described. I described the actual product in the customer review to keep others from being tricked. Out of the blue Amazon reimbursed me for it. This is a good honest company. Hard to find nowadays. I get confused easily online but Amazon makes it easy for the technologically impaired to breeze thru the ordering process. Great products, great company support, very easy ordering, fast shipping, easy returns (You don't have to figure out how to use a printer to return a product). Love this company!

David Tate Charlotte slides: Beautiful slide wedge sandal goes with anything; maxi dresses, capris or skinny jeans. CS just didn't understand what I was explaining to them and when I requested to speak with a manager or supervisor they acted as if I was asking for the Holy Grail. The issue: returned reward points on a cancelled order. Eventually it was resolved after many phone calls. The ordering process for me was routine. I'm never in a hurry. I use gift cards and Bing rewards to bring the price down. What was 114.95 ended up being 16.00. My shopping experiences are challenges.
I usually will search on Amazon for an item I saw elsewhere and I normally can find it at a lower cost. If not I keep checking to see if it went on sale. I've been a member of Amazon since 2008 and have had only one occasion to contact customer service; normally you can contact the seller and settle any issue you have and they are very accommodating because of information technology. Amazon has everything you can imagine; only purchase what you feel comfortable with. I never purchase jewelry or perfume. Happy shopping!

I buy most things at Amazon since they are delivered with Prime within 2 days. This is the best customer service I ever saw. If something comes and it is the wrong thing, they send you a label to ship and send it back for free... no hassle shopping. Find what you want, and you can order with 1 click and you have 30 minutes to change your order if you need something for yourself or a friend, grandchild etc. I find what I want and ship it directly. If it needs to be returned, the person can ship it back with the form for free. The selection is great and with free shipping it can't be beat!

I purchased 10 colored T-shirts for $34. The rare times I needed customer service they were great. They make sure the customer is satisfied. It's very easy to compare items and to read reviews. It's also easy to view past orders and to cancel orders if done promptly. Amazon is a well run company that offers great selection, prices and a speedy 2 day shipping on most items. I place about 100 orders a year with them and I am pleased with their service.

I have been happy with the quality and price of open box and refurbished items. The sales tax issue I described above was around 25 cents; any customer service rep. should have been able to fix this. On average always very easy. The only issue is the amount of waste in packaging. After numerous orders I have only had 2 issues. The first was with a gift I received of a new membership. I hit the wrong button and converted the gift to an account credit. I wanted the prime membership. They could/would not allow me to switch it back because the sales tax where the card was purchased was not the same as it is here. The second was for shower hooks. A $2.00 dollar item shipped from China. I only received 3 shower hooks instead of 12.

Really Bad, refused warranty. Ordered on Amazon and was unhappy. Amazon refused to take the return. Very dissatisfied with Amazon. They didn't care or make it right with a return. They blamed it on the other party who advertises on their website. But, when it comes down to making things right with the Amazon consumer they rather blame it on the third party who advertises on their site! I was stuck with junk due to trusting the Amazon website. That junk cost over $300 and I will never do it again. Because Amazon.com didn't refund me for a inferior product I stopped using their website. I spent lots of money on Amazon and now nothing because of the way I was treated. They don't care about their customers, just the bottom line.

I take the time to compare prices on Amazon against prices in local stores and other online stores and Amazon usually comes out with the best price. It is difficult to find "customer service" on Amazon's website but when you do, they are usually quick to help resolve your problems. I find myself buying "stuff" that I wouldn't take the time to go to purchase at a local store. They always have what you are looking for and you can get it within two to three days. The wait to receive the product is worth it. It is so much easier than going to two or three local stores trying to find the product.

We now live in a small town and have to drive 45 minutes for shopping. Amazon has been a time saver, gas saver and money saver. If you make sure all your info is correct, it's a snap. Since we moved here a month ago I have purchased the shower pan, lining for the shower walls, the faucet and shower head, I just ordered some really long needles and strong upholstery thread for a small project I'm doing and this morning I ordered the light for the bathroom. Amazon has made it easy to shop, pay and ship. No waiting in lines, no searching for hours for what you need. Amazon is you grandma's Sears catalog, only bigger, better and faster.

It is hard to beat Amazon prices. It is so easy to shop at Amazon, be it exchanges, or refunds, there is hardly a reason for customer service. As mentioned, whether it be ordering, returning, or refunds, everything is fast and easy. Not to mention two-day shipping. I have been ordering from Amazon for about eight years now and ninety-eight percent of my purchases come from them. Anything from socks to a sixty five-inch television set. For example, I don't like calling because I don't like wasting my time, so I communicate with them via email. I get a response within a short period of time, 24 hours later -- with my problem all resolved. Only called them once, but it was a good experience. I always do some competitive shopping and go to Amazon to buy. Excellent place to shop. Few times I had 'challenges' e.g. problems, they resolved them quickly. Overall choice, value, returns policy, the Q&A provide a good insight into some of the products. Also the reviews are very helpful. Finally the help forum with other buyers is very useful and a unique tool when deciding on a purchase. Should the need arise their returns policy is simple and efficient. One click ordering makes it so easy especially with Prime. Amazon is usually the most dependable for deliveries. Items always arrive on the day scheduled which can be a big thing if you live in an area where thieves take packages or they go missing from your doorstep. Their packaging is good so items arrive undamaged. The choice of products is wide and varied. Although they are not always the cheapest the quality is usually there.
It is my go-to site to research a product. As they are not the manufacturer I tend to think the reviews of other customers is unbiased and one can draw a conclusion from them. Their product description is quite detailed compared with some other sites. The questions and answers segment is useful and if the question you have is not covered you can ask your question and that lets you into the customer forum which can result in many and varied answers. Finally the ordering system is so easy and follow-up from Amazon is excellent..

I keep a shopping cart, plus wish lists and saved for later. It's extremely easy.
I live in a rural area and WalMart is about the only choice around and I consider most of their stuff junky. I can find better quality and rarer purchases at Amazon. I've purchased a number of things from Amazon and am almost always more than satisfied with the products I receive. I always read the reviews on a product before purchasing and they seem to be very accurate and trustworthy. Looking at ratings and reviews definitely is the secret to getting the most out of Amazon. I really like buying phone cases and screen protectors from Amazon, because you can usually find a great one for a low price. It's also good for buying books and I'm subscribed to Amazon Prime which offers a lot of free movies to stream in addition to great and fast shipping.
Returns are easy to make, though I rarely have to return what I buy on here. Really what's great about Amazon is how little you need to interact with customer service specialists, because the company usually gets the job done the first time around. But ALWAYS read reviews on a product before buying. I can't stress it enough. The process is very simple and easy. The only complaint I have about the order process is that Amazon does not accept PayPal. You have to pay with a gift card or credit card. Final thoughts on Amazon: Willing to help when you need it. Wide variety of products; you can literally find anything on this site.

Not only did they allow me to return, they pay return shipping and credit my account as soon as the item is picked up from my house, for shipping back to them. I spend far more time browsing for other deals or better deals on the items I'm buying than necessary, it's window shopping from my recliner! When it's time to checkout, just a couple clicks and I am done.
Amazon is the one place where I can literally find anything that I am looking for, from all over the world. Many times I find treasures that I did not know I needed, browsing is easy and searching for specific items is easy as well. From premium ready to make full meals to car parts and everything in between, my purchase history from them would make a great super store in itself. I bought my grandson shoes. Amazon responds very quickly and efficiently resolved any issues you may have!! You place your order with a credit card (obviously as secure a site as it can be), then once the order is placed, an approx date of delivery will be given, and you receive e-mail confirmation immediately! You can terminate the order or change the order at this time!
I have only had one issue with Amazon, and it was actually a product bought through a 3-party seller! The product was horrible, and I wanted a refund, unfortunately Amazon does not handle 3-party sellers refunds, they can report the issue you're having, which they did immediately, but the seller would only send me another item (I did not have to send the first one back), but the second one was as bad as the first! So, lesson learned, I only buy from Amazon dealers!

I haven't gotten that straight yet. This was one of the times my order was not directly from Amazon and the dealer didn't respond as they should have. Amazon did contact them. I just dropped it and remembering when I order something in the same category, I will make sure it is not coming from the same company. They go to whatever length needed to solve the issue. I place my order and almost immediately there is a response in my email. I really feel that my experience with Amazon is just what I need. Try to find a telephone number to talk to someone about an issue - very difficult. Generally it is easy to work the website and make a purchase. A lot of products are counterfeit and the sellers try to pass it on as originals. It is until you get them that you realize that the product is not an original. My purchases on Amazon are extremely valuable because I get to research the products thoroughly from their in-depth reviews and questions & answers. I at least have a chance to make an informed judgment before I purchase any product. Customer service is excellent at all times whether it be through Chat, Phone, or email. The order process gives plenty of options and room for adjustments in any area you prefer for almost up to 24 hrs before your purchase is shipped; and you can even contact the seller directly through the Amazon email process if necessary, to ask more detailed questions.
I have always been able to shop easily on the Amazon website; and once they added the "Chat" feature... it has been even easier to get my point across whenever I run into a problem or have a complicated question. It is also great that they have a section which allows them to be able to call your phone immediately to follow along with you on their website, in your account when you run into a technical glitch. They are always able to make adjustments and answer you questions. And like many other favorite websites, they now have added features that allow you to make monthly payments on any of your credit or store cards.
Amazon keeps approving the way they do business and add products, features, and promotions.... It is never boring to shop on Amazon with such things as "Cart" and "Wish" list; these allow the customer to hold on to items and watch the prices go down in order to catch the sales on what they really want by budgeting and patiently waiting for price adjustments. The return and refund policies are off the chart "Awesome" too!

After complaint they insisted it was delivered and signed by "Sally." I know no "Alice" or "Sally." Nothing had been delivered at my address, or the delivery man give it to another address or kept it. It happened once he gave a parcel to a FAR neighbour who nicely gave it to me the day after. This time, nothing,
Well £204.11 lost, I have to find another supplier, and time wasted. I am a retired priest, not very rich. I can not afford the fun of wasting such an amount of money. Now I did complain with the police and I suppose I will have to go to see a judge. However I think I should take advice from a lawyer, because all of that could be costly and difficult for me. I do not move very freely, being disabled. And Amazon seems to be FAST to reject all responsibilities.
Please contact me if you have a delivery issue with Amazon. It could help a lawyer. I am certainly not the only one having trouble with an Amazon delivery. And to understand why Amazon is wasting my time when they know they have trouble with their delivery people going too fast and missing a lot of address by error or deception. All I know I will NEVER AGAIN believe such a company who take my money and do not deliver the goods.

On September 19, 2016 I ordered a Samsung UN65KS8500 Curved 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2016 Model) from Amazon.com [Order# 115-4694723-4225007].
The web page from which I placed the order says Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. It was only when I started tracking the shipment that I noticed the disclaimer Sold byElectronic Express.
Since I pay the premium for Amazon Prime, I was somewhat annoyed by the week-long shipping time. I was even more annoyed when they said it would arrive sometime between 9AM and 9PM; a 12-hour service window is something not even my cable company imposes.
I was further annoyed when only one person showed up to deliver the TV, despite the promise in the shipment email that A two-man team will deliver your TV into room of choice. At my age I am no longer confident in my ability to handle heavy items. But I did.
When I discovered that the TV was damaged, I was disappointed, but not angry. Those things happen. I refused the shipment, we put the TV back in the box, loaded it on the truck, and off it went.
Then I logged in to Amazon to arrange a replacement, and thats when I became enraged. After talking to four different agents, here is what I learned:
1. Since the TV was actually sold by Electronic Express, and not Amazon, they could not arrange an exchange. They could only issue a refund, that I could then apply to a reorder.2. They could issue the refund only after Electronic Express notified them that the TV had been returned, a process that would take about two weeks.
3. They could do nothing about the change in price of the TV. It was going to cost me another $100, and that assumes that prices dont go up again.
4. Then it will take still another week to deliver the replacement TV, for a total of 4 weeks since the original order.
And all the agents could say was Oh, Im so sorry, but thats our policy.
Well, my policy from now on is not to order anything expensive from Amazon. Ive learned my lesson. I wish Amazon could do the same.

As others have mentioned, I paid for the Prime membership expecting the two-day shipping that is advertised as being guaranteed. I also pay strict attention to whether or not an item I am interested in is available in Prime. Unfortunately, it seems about a third of the time, it doesn't get here is two days, and Amazon always blames the shipper or the carrier. Lame! In my business, if a shipper or carrier can't/won't abide by my company's shipping requirements, they pay a very hefty penalty, or are discontinued as a service provider. Period!

Their application questions are not clear; if you put down something doesn't agree with information they get from credit bureaus, they deny your application and report that denial, thereby affecting your credit score. I called in about the issue, talked to a surly and pretentious telephone call-center person, and finally got the card application approved--after answer interminable questions about my income. When contacted they claim that the product is coming from a reseller on their site and there is nothing they can do about it even though they are listed as Prime. I have cumulatively lost more than 17 days on these two orders and the dollars I was charged. Simply refunding my money is not acceptable. I will be canceling my Prime membership.

Amazon continually posts items for sale and delivery from their warehouse. However when you order, they take over 45 days, then they tell you they are out of stock. Then what they do is increase price and refuse to sell it to you at the price you ordered. It's extremely unethical and I've had 3 orders cancelled by them on 3 separate occasions. Very upsetting.

First, I would like to say I loved Amazon prior to joining Amazon Prime and paying its fee. I feel Amazon Prime members are not given their benefits, which are advertised to suspecting customers. On 9/22/16, I placed an order. At the time, I had no idea my Capital One card was compromised and they sent me an email. I called Capital One and they assured me all orders went through if I received a confirmation from the merchant. Over 24 hours later, I receive an email from Amazon asking for another payment. I called Amazon yesterday and talked to an agent who would not give me her name or case number. Told me my item is now on back order. She also referenced she had superpowers and my order would be received by 9/27/16, due to it being on back order.
Amazon Prime members pay a premium for having their items in 2 shipping day. So the agents flip remark of superpowers was unprofessional. She also was gave me a shipping date that was not 2 days and referenced it was on back order. I asked for a supervisor. Put on hold. "I am sorry, no one is available." Told her, "I would wait, I have all the time in the world." This happened 3 times where she came back and no supervisor was available. Finally a supervisor appears on the phone. "How can I help you?"
I explain everything to him. He tells me the item won’t be into 9/28/16, a day later than what the previous agent quoted. I reiterated everything I told the agent. He tells me, "Don’t you see on the listing there might be a 1-2 day delay from the merchant for ordering for processing?" I look, it’s not the same website and the price is different. I also told him I order from an “Amazon Prime” vendor… Guaranteed turn around time for you in 2 days. That’s why we pay the $99.99 fee for the service. Agent, “Well, there is nothing I can do.” Requested him to cancel the order and my Amazon Prime membership. He tells me he can’t cancel the Prime membership. “Oh, I am sorry you used the benefit.” WHAT! “Oh, I see you ordered a video.” I don’t recall streaming a video. I told him I would pay for the video and cancel the membership. Then he canceled the membership and I was to be refunded.
The business practices of Amazon after this transaction seem deceptive, shows poor customer service, poor training of Amazon’s agents, no regard to customer retention, and delayed point of sale communication. 1 to 2 day processing, even if it is an Amazon Prime vendor. No 2 day shipping. Delayed point of sale for transaction communication. I am happy to say I found a new website due to your agent… Jet.com. Found it cheaper and receiving sooner.

Beware of items sold on Amazon not sold or fulfilled by Amazon. I have been a customer of Amazon since it was nothing but an online bookstore. Recently I have had a few bad experiences all with 3rd party sellers. Look carefully. Not always easy to notice that it's not sold by Amazon. Takes weeks to get product as it is shipped from China and this is not always disclosed.
Recently bought item and it was shipped from nearby. When I wanted to return it seller wanted me to ship cross-country at an exorbitant cost. I submitted a complaint to A-to-Z Guarantee through Amazon. This service is a joke. So beware seller can have you return it to any address he or she wants at YOUR expense. Many of these sellers are actually middlemen. You order on Amazon through them. They order through another company. This is what makes returns difficult. They want you to return to company which can be anywhere in the world at your expense of course. Unfortunately Amazon has become a mecca for shady sellers and expect no help from Amazon when dealing with them.

I hate Amazon. I just truly hate Amazon with all of my heart. My mind and my soul. I will never ever order from them ever again. They are the most pompous and arrogant company that I've ever ordered from and now I am very embarrassed to have ever even looked at their site let alone ordered from it. Those of you whom give it good ratings have not experienced the chaos and confusion that we others have but it only takes one time one mishap and these crooks will turn your life upside down.
I used to get my orders in the mail. They would sometimes take a month or sometimes just a week but I justified the wait because the item was so cheap and a great deal that I sacrificed my precious time for it but no more. I'd also noticed that the items that I got tore up too quickly and began questioning their quality as well. Then I ordered something overseas directly from China. Didn't receive the item. These thieves and Amazon basically stole from me. I'm pissed. They give me a promotional code that doesn't work by the way for sold by Amazon made by Amazon. I don't want their crap. I want my $$$ back. So I call and after several attempts these bank robbers gave me another code. It didn't work. I am so disappointed in these no talking incompetent you know whats. I am very angry at this nerd who has founded this rip off company.
You can't explain anything to these dweebs. They want the same tired account that you used when signing up for their account even if it's impossible to sign in to your very old email. They lie. Give you fake codes. And rob you blind. They are really unstable evil droids working for Amazon. I said all it takes is one bad experience and the ones loving Amazon will soon hate it. Ripoffs and scamsters. They have no morals and no values and they don't care about anyone but themselves.
I had one item not sent to me by a thieving vendor in China. And it has caused me this misery and confusion. No I'm not happy with the good reviews but if they live long enough and have them steal from them then they will be coming back on here recanting their story. That nerd Jeff ** has certainly bit off more than he can chew and he knows it but he doesn't care. Can't you tell the way that he looks and acts that he is truly something out of the jetty. He looks weird and nerdy. Well we're going to get the new this and the new that. How about a founder that gives a crap. How about actually being honest and running a business like you're supposed to. You guys I'm so frustrated in this company I have to push back tears.
While quality may not be always good with the shopping channels. Either. I will give them this. At least they have my order at my house in 3 days and I don't have to pay a scam $100 a year or however it is. Y'all Amazon is so dead to me that when I'm searching for something on the internet and reviews pop up from Amazon. I do not read them. I will encourage everyone to tell people that they know not to order from this company at all. Ever. They're one of the most unethical companies that I have ever seen. Where are government regulations. Where are the protocols to patrol this loser business. They're full of con artists and scamsters plus losers and one day they will meet the same horrible and dark experience that they have placed on so many. Amazon = Losers. Losers. Losers. For the most part their reps are rude and quick to cut you off. They think that old means "Stupid" and not worthy of their time. I wanted to inquire about refunds that were due to me. I've ordered from Amazon a few times a year over the years, and it has always been a consistent experience---until June 2016. I placed an order, and after 5 days, it was not yet processed. I cancelled the order, citing "it's taking too long" as the reason. I tried again in late June, only to have the same experience on a different product. Same thing again in July. I tried once more about a week after that, and this time I let the order go through. Took them several days to process but the shipping only took two days to reach me for something I really needed. Did not order again until September 8, 2016, when I needed something they had and decided that if it was a bad experience again, it would be my last experience with Amazon. Again, it took five days for them to process the order.
I was about to cancel the order when I got the shipping notice on Tuesday, September 13, with a scheduled delivery date of Tuesday, September 20. Apparently, Amazon was not before but is now using UPS SurePost on non-Amazon Prime orders, and I freaking HATE UPS SurePost. It is the slowest method of shipping around (even slower than FedEx SmartPost). The item goes through many, many transfers at UPS and then is transferred to the USPS for delivery, adding at least one extra day (sometimes more). I'm on the East Coast, and the items I've gotten from Amazon in the past have come from East Coast warehouses and arrived in 2-3 days. However, this time, it had to come from California and has made local stops in Arizona, Texas (two different locations), Louisiana, and Mississippi.
I got an email on Friday, September 16, telling me there had been a delay because of a late truck and that my scheduled delivery date would be even later. It's supposed to be here on Wed. the 21st now, but who knows??? It's stuck in Jackson, Mississippi, and has been since Friday. If a company has a "free shipping with certain amount purchase" and then treats the customers using this service badly, it's not good for business. I am NOT going to be bullied into paying $99 for an Amazon Prime membership for "free shipping." Um...it's not FREE, it's FLAT RATE. And given the number of orders I make with them annually (5 or 6), getting Prime would be paying $15-$20 per order for shipping. No thanks. Since Amazon's focus is "use Prime or get lost," I'm going to get lost. Never going to order from Amazon again. They've lost a steady customer.

Other sites offering very less time for delivery but Amazon is very irresponsible in terms of its delivery and updates. I wish I could give them a NEGATIVE star rating. Amazon PERMITTED ShopEddies to list items for sale to the public on the Amazon website that unfortunately I later discovered do not even exist. What is the point of ALLOWING non-existent merchandise to be advertised to the Public? I ordered a couple auto parts and days later got an email telling me the order was summarily cancelled. Apparently, the merchandise did not even exist when the ad was put up. The vendor didn't want to admit that fact so they instead sent me a byzantine, convoluted, comical and implausible excuse that amounts to "the dog ate my homework". My conclusion? Amazon, being as giant as it is, has allowed the usual scams to penetrate even more broadly throughout society. What a riot: Amazon: "Home of the Scam".

As a member of Amazon Student Prime Canada I was made aware of a discount on textbooks via the student portal of the amazon.ca website (a similar promotion exists on the .com website as well). The advertisement said "10% off textbooks" with the traditional "some terms and conditions apply." I reviewed the terms and conditions which stated: "This is a limited time offer. Offer only applies to products sold by Amazon.ca. Offer good while supplies last. Shipping charges and taxes may apply to discounted and free promotional items. Taxes, shipping and handling, and gift wrap charges do not apply when determining minimum purchase amount. Each customer can claim up to a maximum benefit of $100 in discount from this offer. Use the promotional code TEXT10 to receive benefit."
I had used the discount a number of times to purchase textbooks already, so when I needed a last minute textbook after a course change I figured I would use it again. It had been automatically applied to all my textbook purchases after the first use. Unfortunately, the textbook (Critical Thinking: A Student's Introduction by Gregory Bassham, 5th ed) was only available for shipment in 1-2 months and well beyond when I would need it. I clicked on the Kindle edition which was more expensive ($213.10 CDN) by about $20.
Thinking I would recoup the price difference with the promo code I purchased it with the 1-click option, the only option available. When I was sent the invoice moments later, I noticed the discount had not been applied. I immediately reviewed the terms and restrictions of the promotion and noted no restriction on the manner of delivery, i.e. digital vs. hardcopy. Following this, I contacted Amazon customer service.
Amazon Customer Service denied my request for the discount to be extended to the textbook after I chatted online with them and subsequently phoned. It was their contention that because it was digital the book I ordered was not a textbook. They also argued the language of the restrictions meant it only applied to hardcopies.
Further, they held that, because notice of the promotion only appeared underneath the hardcopy option that it meant it didn't apply to the digital copy. This ignores the fact the promotion was visible on other areas of the website and other pages that did not include textbooks, as well as the language of the terms and restrictions which clearly fail to limit the discount to hardcopy textbooks. In my first conversation I failed to bring this point up, in my phone call with the customer services representatives I did make this point.
Now, this might seem a lot of fuss to make over $21.31 CDN but the fact of the matter is that Amazon as a company is responsible for its promotions. I've been a loyal customer, purchase quite a bit from them and very clearly and politely requested that they honour their promotion. Business needs to be built on good faith - advertising to students that they can receive a discount on products and then changing the terms after purchase to exclude certain products is deceitful.
At this point, it seems to me it is intentionally so. No other large companies I've bought online with seem to struggle to write very clear terms and conditions in the fine print, nor have I ever had a store refuse to honour a promotion even when there had been a mistake - the company bears the cost for their own errors.. but not Amazon. The resolution in my favour would have cost less in cash than refusal has in trust and goodwill.

On July 18, 2016 I ordered several items. One of those items was an audio CD, which listed as being in stock, and as sold by Amazon.com LLC. When the order was complete, the item listed that it would be delivered by September 7, 2016. All the other items were received within a month, but on September 7th, the item still did not show as even being shipped. I contacted customer support via chat -- I was told that the item was out of stock, and it would take another month. I said it was unacceptable, as it was in stock when I ordered it, and Amazon promised to have it to me by this date -- and that they never even bothered to contact me to inform me of the issue. Customer support told me that even though it listed as sold by Amazon, it was through a third party, and there was nothing they could do about it. I asked to speak to a manager, and they told me it was not possible.
They disconnected the chat, before the matter was resolved. I then went online to look at my order, to find out that they had cancelled the order without my permission, and that was after they already told me that it would arrive in another month. If I did nothing, I would have been in for another terrible surprise. I contacted Amazon again, this time requesting a call. Another person called and I told them the entire story. They checked the chat log, and told me that I could go to the site and order the item and choose expedited shipping, and they would pay the shipping. I went to one site and it offered no expediting options -- there were other options, but those were outside the US, and they said they would only pay if it was within the US.
This kind of thing is happening way too often. In the last 5 years I have had many problems with promised dates not being met, and these gifts missing important events. It is obvious that Amazon simply can no longer be trusted to live up to their promises. In the past, when a mistake like this was made, they would try hard to make up for it, but now they do not want to be bothered, and do not care. In the last 15 years, I have spent well over ten thousand dollars to this company, and encouraged over 30 other people to give them a try (and who became loyal customers). I will now use Amazon only as a last resort, and do my best to give me business elsewhere -- where it might be appreciated. I will further warn everyone I know to avoid this company, as it simply cannot be trusted, and no longer cares for its customers.

A very bad precedent is being set and least expected from such a brand which is worldwide famous. I accordingly had booked my tickets from Dubai so that I can receive my items and shall carry the same on my way return.
The best part is whenever I call the contact centre I always get a very generic answer "we shall mail and update you about your products." My payment is already remitted and I have the rights to ask for my shipment. When I tweeted on Twitter the reply I get is "we deliver shipment as per estimates mentioned while placing the order. Kindly wait until the mentioned time frame." Whereas the estimated time was supposed to be 18th Aug and not September. It clearly shows the negligence in reading the context of the email and just focusing on auto reply. Of course, I would click on the "track your order" button but it would always say "file not found". I never received notice of order cancellations for any of these orders from Amazon and only found out they were cancelled because I called them to find out why we haven't received them. When I was able to speak with Amazon Customer Service, I was told that it was the vendor's fault but I explained that it has Amazon's name on it and they are the ones that look bad.
The sad thing is that this last order was for a baseball bat that my son had worked very hard for and we were helping him to finish out payment for his birthday. He was so excited to have ordered it and was looking every day for the mail for over 2 weeks. Now I have to tell him that it isn't coming at all. Buyer put a A-to-Z claim on my account and I was not at fault at the end, but the worst part I got bad information from Amazon customer service telling me that "give the buyer a partial refund and send a return label" in which I've done what the agent told me to do after the buyer won, customer service suppose to help you not guide you in the wrong direction. Amazon paid the claim. I asked Amazon I want to get reimburse for the $160.35 that I issue the buyer and the supervisor said "Amazon will refund you the $160.35 just wait for the email." I ask "do I need to do anything" and the supervisor said no. So I waited for that email for a few days and did not get that email and my account was not credited. Amazon is full of scammers and Amazon will not help the seller at all.
Amazon is always on the buyer side if something goes wrong and if the buyer puts a A-to-z claim on your account it's over. Amazon will automatically award the buyer no matter what. Amazon does not protect 3rd party seller from scams, they're always on buyer side, even if buyer is lying Amazon still takes the buyer side, and that's what happen to me. DO NOT SELL YOUR ITEMS on AMAZON MARKET PLACE, YOU WILL GET SCAM by the BUYER and by AMAZON. You're better off selling on Craigslist or offer up so you don't have to deal with returns, fraud, Amazon customer service (liars), and buyers.
I hate Amazon customer service employees do not speak English very well, hard to understand and they're no help at all. Amazon is worst than eBay. I wrote a lot of emails to the CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos about the issue I'm having - no response from him either. I'm going to close my seller account and I will never sell on their site again. Sellers beware - get your items off of Amazon Market Place, you will get a A-to-z claim on your account and Amazon will NOT HELP YOU if that happens. You get bad advice from their customer service and at the end you will pay for it.

I ordered a washer part from Prime, paid additional for part because of 2 day Prime guarantee shipping. Amazon made a mistake and part was not delivered in 2 days. It took me 10 minutes on their website to figure out how to contact customer service. Apparently the link only shows up if you give a poor review? I chatted with Amazon. Their compensation was $5. (Not the difference in cost between Prime and non-prime shipping.) I understand other people's problems with the language issue.

Don't buy from Amazon Marketplace, here's why... For the first time purchasing on Amazon, I bought a costume shirt, but did not know about the marketplace process, so I just assumed I was purchasing from Amazon. I paid $28.95 for the shirt, and another $15 for expedited shipping. When I received the shipment, I found the item not to be what I expected, so I started the return process, and that's when my problems started. Amazon sent me an email letting me know that the marketplace seller has authorized the return, and that I would have to ship it back to the marketplace seller at my own expense. I contacted the seller directly and was told that I would not be refunded the original $15 shipping cost, and that I would have to pay 20% or $15 re-stocking fee, whichever is greater.
I then found this same shirt on the marketplace sellers website priced at $19.95, and was told that Amazon gets 15% of marketplace sales and shipping, but according to simple math, Amazon marked this item up not by 15%, but by 45%, and added another 25% on the $12 shipping charged by the market place seller. So, I have to spend approximately $5 to ship the shirt back, then pay a $15 re-stocking fee, along with the original $15 shipping fee that I won't get back, which, at the end of the day, will mean that I'll have spent $35 for a shirt I don't have if I send it back. Sounds crazy to me, so I'm stuck with a $20 shirt that cost me $43 and is no good to me. The moral... pay close attention to Amazon's small print, and know when you're buying something that is not being fulfilled by Amazon, because you can likely find the item you're looking for, and shipping, at the marketplace sellers website for almost half the price.

In February 2016, I, the seller, sold an expensive item (an $800.00 infrared sauna barely used, in perfect condition). Before the sale was completed, I got an email from the buyer - in a very weird poor English - that did not make much sense where she asked me to waive the price of the delivery because among other reasons she was a good Amazon customer... and because she was sick and delivery will take too long. Weird wording. She then sent me another email acknowledging that her first email was confusing and bizarre and that she had a health issue and needed the sauna asap. Well, she finally bought it and I personally chose to expedite the delivery - as a courtesy - such a way she could have the sauna in 2 days. She emailed me again, she was so happy of her decision to buy it etc. I emailed her the day I sent it and that she could track it through Amazon.
One month later, she emails me that she wants to return it because she found a cheaper one, and she did not even opened the box (DESPITE THE FACT SHE WANTED TO USE IT ASAP FOR HER HEALTH ISSUE). I replied (all communications through Amazon) that I will gladly accept the return as long as she was willing to pay for the extra shipping cost I paid (such a way she could have it faster) and insurance of the package. She never answered. I assumed the sale was final and everybody was happy with the deal.
Now 6 months later, I receive an email from Amazon that the buyer is asking for a refund because she never received the item even though she states in her email (6 months ago) that she had not opened the box, and that she wanted to return it. HOW CAN YOU ASK TO RETURN SOMETHING THAT YOU NEVER RECEIVED??? At this point nothing make sense anymore.
When I first received this email from Amazon, I did not see it. It is only in a second communication from Amazon saying that they approved the refund to the buyer that I realized something crazy was happening. Apparently I had 7 days to answer their 1st email (that I did not see!!) so they just simply granted the refund to the buyer, without explanation at all or investigation through the emails between buyer-seller.
At that point I immediately called Amazon - that was the 8th day after the 1st email - and got to talk to a guy, very nice and very apologetic - as they all are -who told me to appeal. However the appeal was not available... passed the 7th day! He then gave me am email: seller-guarantee... where I could complain, which I did immediately. I received a robotic answer stating that because I had 7 days to answer their first email and I didn't, so they closed the case and granted the refund to the buyer. I was literally under shock. I kept emailing them with proofs she received it and copies of our email (which they have on file anyway) and again same robotic answer. CASE CLOSED. So in other words, the buyer has received, kept and used my item and I have to pay her to use it!!! So I have a double loss!! And this is from Amazon... a reputable business. What is really going on??? I have all the written proofs that she is lying A to Z.
After talking to several people about it, I came to the conclusion that it could an insider job within the corporation itself. In other words, a virtual buyer. 6 months later, who would expect a communication from Amazon A-Z about it -- with only 7 days to answer (that will also explain this bizarre email I got first from the buyer). I still cannot believe what happened!!!
I want to go to court and claim my right. The buyer is in Texas - smart!!! Amazon has an army of lawyers. However the truth is the truth. The story is absolutely insane. I looked up the internet and I saw similar stories from people. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON INSIDE AMAZON CORPORATION?? Is there anybody out there who went through the same ordeal?? Please reply. Thank you for reading.

I am writing this review after losing all my patience. I bought this item thinking that it is original and made in US (as per the description... They are good in fooling). Looking at the description - Hot Tools is a US based company. Amazon has allowed this seller to sell fake counterfeit item on their website. This has a cheap plastic material, US pin, with no description of how much current (Watt) can it hold. This fake item is MADE IN CHINA printed on it and not originally from US. When I contacted AMAZON (more than 11 times now), I have been treated like an idiot beggar who has been asking for a refund for a fake product delivered to me.
I have been so polite every time I call them and they just keep making false promises and hope to solve my issue. This product has no servicing center in India. Without the knowledge of how much current it can withhold, you cannot use a step down converter. If I use this product then I can die of electric shock or if it is not compatible with Indian voltage values, it can blow up. I have warned Amazon that I will file a police case on them if I meet any accident due to fake product given to me without any description of voltage/watt + fake material. My claim was opened my Amazon and closed saying that this item cannot be refunded because it was not damaged when I received it. Amazon has tried to hide and suppress my critical issue and left me to use this deadly item at my own risk. They are very irresponsible and the reply that A-Z Amazon guarantee gives is also very illogical. Not even once have I mentioned that I got it damaged.
Every time I rang up customer care (11 times) I tell them the same thing about fake item being delivered but they still close my claim. I have decided to walk up to the Amazon office and bang this item on their head. I will write this review everywhere till the public gets aware of Amazon's counterfeit items. Amazon is helping all cheat sellers to make money and put the loyal customers at risk. I am Amazon's regular buyer since years! Still they never had any courtesy to help me out for a refund. Shame on Amazon and YES! I will go ahead with the police case for sure. I know they are a big company and they may pay a lot of money to win their case but at least I will be satisfied from my end that I tried my best. Never ever I will buy anything from AMAZON AGAIN.

However I always operate with 100% clarity honesty and hard work. But Amazon employees who represent Amazon are not professional in business and common sense. We sold several to one customer an item which had the expire date listed in the ad, following month. Customer had it shipped to USA location and she transported the merchandise to Canada. Then complained she cannot consume all prior to expire date. Neither is our problem.
We denied her return. We do not cater to buyer's error and it states this in our return policy. She called Amazon and Amazon sent us an e-mail to resolve and I responded we already did. Then she opened an A-Z claim and Amazon sided with her. She keeps the items and our money. This is against the law. We will fight this all the way to the president of the USA and yes you can contact President Obama via his website. Amazon should not help buyers scam steal from sellers.

I ordered 3 items (prior to 7:30am) that were listed on the website as "guaranteed delivery next day". Because I am also a prime member, no additional shipping information was requested prior to checking out. When I received my order confirmation via email - they had changed the delivery date to the following day. The reason I chose the items was BECAUSE I would have them the next day. Ordinarily this would be of no consequence however I am flying to another state and require the items IN THE OTHER STATE.
I called immediately to request that the items be shipped to the New Jersey address that I have on file and was told that one of the items was too far along in the process and they could not change anything at that time. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there seems to be a glitch on the website and I was supposed to be able to choose next day or choose 2 day delivery. The 2nd supervisor that I spoke with went as far as to tell me that you can't go by the dates listed on the website - that the e-mail confirmation is the guarantee.
Well I have a problem with going through an order process, providing payment and then being told that the terms of the agreement have suddenly changed. I asked that they ship a new tablet to my address in New Jersey and they told me that I could choose to purchase a 2nd one, but they would not authorize sending a 2nd tablet. I could however return it when I get the item (that will NOT arrive on time). This is the worst customer service I have ever received and will be deactivating my account.
To top it all off upon check out I received a message that said if I would like money off my current order I can apply for the credit card (I was approved - approved message on my screen) yet no discount was applied. I was then told that they have nothing to do with the bank and that I would have to wait for the card. THEN WHY DOES THE SITE SAY THAT I CAN HAVE MONEY OFF MY CURRENT ORDER. The 2nd supervisor that I spoke with said that I have to go into my personal email and confirm "something" and then the amt. would have been applied to my account. AGAIN... There was no indication during the checkout process or after I was approved for the credit card that that was my next step. Amazon has clearly gotten too big to support their customers and they apparently do not need to be held accountable for any website content that they publish.

I've been buying from Amazon for at least 15 years and have been using Prime since its inception. Of course, things have not always been perfect. But, in every case, even if it wasn't their fault, they resolved the issue in a timely manner. Once, I purchased an item from a third-part seller that was not accurately described. I knew and accepted the risks, then had to deal with it. The unscrupulous dealer kept fighting the refund and I kept fighting back. In the end, Amazon agreed with me, and I got the refund.
I notice a lot of negative comments are concerning 3rd-party sales. If you get scammed, it may take a while to get your refund. That's just the way it works. Amazon has to protect the buyers and sellers equally. If you're not willing to wait for the refund when you have problems, then DON'T order from 3rd parties. I've had problems with shipping also. That's beyond Amazon's control. In every case, however, they immediately shipped out a replacement, regardless that it showed that it had been shipped. What more should I expect? I suspect that a lot of the negative commenters are people that can never be pleased.

I sold an order with 4 items to a buyer, her name is Yojany. When she received them she started to play all of the games that the size of two bottles is not not what she is looking for which I have notices about this in the condition notes on the list as well as I send a typed copy notice with each order that the company had changed many of their products from 16OZ to 8OZ-12X very concentrated, it is the same price.
I tried to change the images on the Amazon list to the smaller bottles with no success, even before I had a 3 items that I never been able to change the images on them before, and it doesn't sell since that time on my Amazon list. I sent her several messages explaining every thing again and again and asked her to send me my stuff back so I can issue her a refund and get my stuff back first. She opened A-Z claim yesterday stealing my stuff free that the image is saying it 16OZ, but she received 8OZ instead, I answered the claim yesterday with the details, but I was surprised this morning that somebody very bad and unprofessional in the Claims department had ruled to her favor giving her my stuff free and refund her $93.96 of my money with no shame ever, and he or she has no right to do this ever, he can give her or his money or Amazon money, but not my money that I work hard for it.
I know she is a scammer and these acts will encourage more scammers and crooks to take advantage of us as sellers. Usually they have to ask the seller to refund the buyer after they will received their stuff back, but for me they never even did that, and this is my first claim, and I think the one who did it is biased and based in a different country. I will not keep silent about this Rip-Off situation to me and I will escalate it legally and everywhere I can until I will get my rights back. What happened to me is a very bad experience with no shame or conscience ever, and it is a Rip-Off scenario from Amazon irresponsible employee that he or she is not sincere or honest in their job.
I hope I will not meet with Amazon in the court of this issue or close my shop too because it brings a good sale percentage for Amazon. I feel betrayed, very disappointed and sad from Amazon and their treatment to us as good sellers on their site. And I will not be tolerant about what Amazon did to me with no loyalty or shame ever. This amount that Amazon rip me off with today is my profit on the sales of 12 items together or more, and nobody ever has to right to do this to me or take my money from me and give it free to a scammer buyer on Amazon or to anybody else with no conscience. Hopefully Amazon will resolve this issue without forcing me to start a legal issues in the courts for this very bad and rip-off incident. I don't appreciate what happened to me and screwed my whole weekend with no shame from Amazon. This will cause a lot of tension between seller and buyers, and sellers and Amazon and I will not let this lousy and horrible experience get away.

When I go shopping, bricks and mortar or online, I want to select the items I want, put them in my cart, pay for them at the check stand or purchase page online, pay, and be done. I do not want to be "upsold" and encouraged to buy other things I don't want. Okay, that's business. I understand that. But Amazon now has a new twist: you cannot purchase the items you want UNLESS you purchase other things! Now, that doesn't mean you need to get more in order to get something else (free shipping, discount, etc.); that's also fine. No, you are NOT ALLOWED to buy the items in your shopping card unless you buy something else worth $25 or more. Upselling, full-one forcing, whatever they may call it, I don't care.
The Amazon lingo for these items is "Add On Items". That sounds like something you want to add to your existing order, right? Nope. These items can only be purchased if you buy something else worth $25. Imagine going to COSTCO and trying to buy a package of paper towels and being told that you can only buy it if you also buy vacuum cleaner bags. "If you don't want vacuum cleaner bags, you can buy anything you want but the price must be at least as much as the vacuum cleaner bags." This is nonsense. See? Like? Buy. That's too old school for Amazon. The stuff worth $500 that you bought yesterday doesn't count. Your Prime Membership doesn't count. Not when you have been tagged as the upsell target. Speaking of Target, I think I'll hop in the car and get what I mistakenly tried to purchase from Amazon. Renewing my Prime membership next time it comes around? Probably not.

I tried to cancel the payment with my bank who advised me that amazon resolve problems with amazon purchases (oh yeah really???). So I phone amazon and get through to someone called Pratik who eventually promises me a full refund, being the cautious type I ask him to confirm this in writing. Of course the email I get 30 minutes later makes no mention of that which was promised. Next call I eventually get through to yet another supervisor, this one's called Shoeb, can you guess what he tells me verbally? Can you guess whether his email confirms what he said? And now we get back to the here and now where I find myself going through the same procedure YET AGAIN with yet another supervisor, I am currently on hold as I have been for the last 10 minutes waiting to speak to yet another manager who will no doubt promise me the earth verbally then fail to come up with the written confirmation. In July I purchased glasses from Omni Labs, and paid extra for expedited shipping because I knew I needed the item no later than a certain date. I did not receive the item on the guaranteed date, so I posted a negative review on the seller, Omni Labs. The seller contacted me asking me to remove my negative review, and because it was their error in not being able to get me my item on time, they refunded the full amount, plus $5.00. They went back on my negative review asking me again to remove it, and if I did they would ship me free sunglasses right away, asked for the delivery address and everything. I also have email proof of this conversation.
A month has passed and Omni Labs refuses to respond to my emails, and what is worse is that I cannot write another review. To make matters worse, instead of just facing me and saying "sorry we didn't ship, and not offered anything for free" - we wouldn't be in this position. So after they bribed me with nothing, they closed down their Omni Labs Storefront, and started operating under 106Shades. You would think Amazon would regulate their third party sellers as because Omni Labs or 106Shades just conned me, and they are accountable for infringement and chicanery. If I did this to a client I would be fired right away.

Hi, my name is Geetika ** and I was on the phone with Amazon's customer service support for 1 hour 30 minutes today. Given that they refused to give me an email address where I could file a formal complaint, I am using this forum to do so. I had called in to get the status of refunds on two gift items that I had returned to Amazon (purchased from my baby registry). Instead of refunding me for those items, the representative (named Shane **) refunded me for other items via gift cards. This was done without explaining to me that he was not refunding me for the actual gifts. When I explained to him that this was odd and it takes away the ability for me to return the other items in the future, he laughed repeatedly and said that this was his job and he knew what he was doing. He also repeatedly told me that this was the only option he had and so he did what he could.
When I refused to accept that as an answer, he told me that he could connect me to his manager. He of course didn't do so and then came back on the line to tell me that he will transfer me to Wish Lists as this wasn't his area in the first place. On the wish list part of the call, the second rep told me that my gifts would be refunded within 14 days or so. When I told her what the other rep had done, she was shocked (in her own words) that he did that and she would 'help' me fix it.
At about 1 hour in to the call, she told me the gift cards that had been applied to my account had been removed and all should be fine. At the same point I tried to return one of the other items (that Shane had refunded against), and your system told me that I would get a refund of $0.0 because the item was already refunded. When I told the rep that she tried to the same at her end and it told her the same as well.
She came back a few minutes later and said that this was all they could do and there was now way for them to 'fix' the problem. If I needed to return any of the other items in the future, I would just have to call back in and speak with a rep. When I explained my frustration to her, she became extremely rude and said "Well I can't give you the gift card when you haven't returned anything." Please note that I was NOT asking for the gift card - what I want is the ability to be able to return items without having to speak with incompetent reps like the ones I did today. She said "Well that's not possible." When I was finally able to get connected to a person in your leadership customer rep group she gave me the same answer.
I finally asked for a customer care email address where I could file a formal complaint and they said you don't have one. Big surprise that there isn't one given that you/Amazon reps clearly don't care about customers even after it is their reps who have made the mistake. I wasted 1.5 hours of my time today, got stuck with two reps who completely messed up my accounts and now they want me to call back if I want to return items and deal with another rep. So they not understand that I would not want to do so because of how I am 100% sure that you would mess up my account yet again! I am appalled that Amazon has such terrible customer reps who make mistakes while justifying that they know what they are doing because "this is their job" and that tell a customer that they customer's "request is unfair". It's great to see how Amazon treats their patrons. Thank you so much for what has proven to be a horrible experience.

How about Amazon refund me and then they run behind the seller for their money back. It's truly an inconvenience to the buyer and their policy sucks to say the least.

I am a prime member and I do not even remember how many years. The recent issues is really getting on my nerve about deliveries. I was expecting a package of two medicine and I ordered through Amazon because they were offering one-day shipping. I did not want one of the supplement to expose too much transit times. I got a text and it says it was delivered at 11:00 AM. I checked the website and it says it was delivered but where the hell it was delivered. It was not at my front door. It was not in my mailbox. It was not in parcel delivery box. I called the customer service and explained situation. It looks like she has comprehension and listening issues. She was shouting in the phone when talking and it was really hard to understand what she was telling. Finally, I understood a few things that she was telling me they will inform me when it was delivered. I explained again that it was delivered but where. I cannot find it.
After several different ways to explain it, it did not work. I asked her that I cannot understand her and she cannot understand me. Someone else should call me back. Then, she was telling me that she is having technical difficulties on her computer and I should call back. What? I called again and talked to another one and several excuses and apologies. None of them was solving my problem. I talked to supervisor and same story line. I cancelled the order and I will not order it again. This is not the first time happening. Delivery companies or contractors are doing their own weird things. Amazon was number one in its motto of customer service and delivery. They are going down the hill on this regard without any breaks. If they cannot correct the delivery and customer service issues, I will not even consider them anymore. I was even thinking Amazon fresh and now I am thinking that they might deliver after all is withered.
I also see those Amazon delivery trucks around and how they carry multiple items, stuff them in the truck and toss them around. They should go to basics what they made them Amazon.com and start respecting the customers again. Nowadays, many stores are offering online price matching and I should consider going to stores to shop again since convenience became inconvenience for me! Amazon, please, get your acts together and become the company I had respect before.

Amazon opened a Chase credit card in my name without my request. Ordered a book written by a relative in Bolivia in support of his work. Small amount, $6.49... Problems downloading. No solutions offered so backed out, forgot it. Recently, I received a statement from Chase billing me for that amount. I have paid for past orders using AMEX credit card on file with Amazon. I'm retired, I have one card. I did not choose Chase. Most frustrating that they could do that!! Days/hours of frustration, passed around between Chase and Amazon. I finally paid the bill to avoid a $37. late charge. I waited till today 9/13/16 to close this account. I am not confident that this will happen. I do not want to be unkind but it seemed there was no living human "out there" to help solve or explain this problem. I will never shop Amazon ever again and will continue to alert family and friends and of course the author.

Ordered 6' level from Amazon. The item came dirty, scratched, obviously used and missing one end cap. Moreover, on the level itself there was a shipping label for someone else (I guess previous owner?). This label made the whole thing sticky and unusable, since the level has to be perfectly flat to use. For me, this delivery went past poor service and into the realm of insulting. When calling customer service, they were not really helpful and only offered $5 promotional certificate for the "inconvenience". Was buying a lot from Amazon before - will think twice now. Used their customer service 5 years ago - it was great then, not so now. Also, sneaky Amazon would not let you leave feedback critical to them.

I am selling a product on Amazon. They send me an email and saying it sold and to ship it out. I go and try to find the order on my inventory and there is no order. I call customer service and they say that there is no order to ignore the email. This is even when I have already gone to ship out the item. So anyways, I was hopefully able to have the product held at the shipping location until I can go pick it up. So in the meantime, I am emailing them and I send them a copy of the sold and shipped email of which they told me there was not one. I still do not get an answer why this happened.
So I just get up now and check email and get one from the buyer that says he did purchase the item and the money has been removed from his account. So I don't know what to think. This is when I can really use the money. Amazon used to be awesome, but after this experience I will pull my other products after this mess gets straightened out. Is this a scam on the buyer’s part or not?

After too many late deliveries (always the courier blaming my address that any map service can find), I don't want to give my hard earned money to a company that likes to build up their drone delivery service and buying 767 airplanes with their logo on it by choosing stupid couriers like OnTrac (really way OffTrac). Again like many other reviewers, I know Amazon Prime prices aren't the lowest - I shop at Amazon for the convenience. After this latest OffTrac delivery fiasco, I'm finally learning Amazon isn't convenient. Their customer service has dropped. They're more interested in showboating how great they are with their fancy toys. I wish they'd go back to being a customer oriented business. It is sad to see them become the behemoth instead of the awesome company they used to be.

I've ordered 3 items on Amazon. Although I specifically requested to ship all items at once Amazon shipped them separately all 3 items! As always UPS missed my package. It has being in shipped soon status for 5 days! I placed an order on last Sunday and today's Friday. Clearly Amazon is doing this intentionally for those who are not prime members. I will never ever buy anything directly from Amazon. It takes 8-9 days to receive the package. The previous two items I bought them on July 23 and received on August 2nd! And another one on Aug 3rd. It was even more annoying because they used UPS and AMZCA; the shipping method is so unpredictable. Back then I would receive things within 2-3 days!

Order four items on 08/03/2016. Paid for same day delivery service. The delivery person arrive I was standing in my driveway, the guy comes running up the driveway toss the box at me. Then goes running back to his car, and takes off. I headed inside open the box, the box that the RCA tablet came in was smashed almost flat on one side. Opened up the box for the tablet, the screen was cracked. I called customer service, the first person I talk to said "Well we will e-mail you a shipping label. Print it out, repack the box, and then tape it up. Attach label, and then take it to the nearest UPS store and drop it off." After Amazon received the returned products, that they would refund my money two weeks.
So I said to the customer support person, "well why don't you just put in an order for another tablet, ship it the next day with same day shipping. When the delivery person hands me the undamaged product I will give the person the damaged one and they can take it back to the warehouse." The customer support person told me that this could be done. So I ask why? Then the person hung up on me. I recalled the support line again talk to another person and was getting the same BS. So I ask to speak to a supervisor. I waited for over twenty minutes. But I finally got to talk to one. I informed this person of the problem. So after a little discussion, this person told me. That a request for UPS pickup would be made, and that my money would be refunded to my bank in 1 to 2 hours. I even ask this person about the refund going to my bank account, I was informed that yes it was.
I went to look at my bank account after two hours, still no refund. I went to check my e-mail, and lo and behold here was another e-mail that was sent to 1hr 45mn later informing me that the money was be put on a Amazon Gift Card. I was told to just reorder the product the same way I had before, and use the Amazon Gift Card. It just seem funny, that here I was being forced to spend my money at Amazon.com after all the trouble I had just gone through. I waited a little while to calm down and log onto my Amazon account. The money was on the gift card. I preceded to place the same exact order. I went to select the same day delivery like I had done before, but it was not there. I thought what is was just there less than 24 hours earlier. I noticed that it was the same price for the 3 to five days shipping as I had paid for the same day delivery. I was only doing what I was told to do.
So got on a chat line with another customer support rep. So I explained what was going on, I was just trying to figure this out. I was informed by this support person that they could not do the same day shipping because the warehouse that I order from was out of them and that it would have to come from another warehouse. Here I had been informed to do this procedure and yet here I could not. So this person informed me that he would return the money my bank account and that it would show up in 5 to 7 business days. And then ended the chat. Never waited for a okay or anything from.
I thought well wait minute I was informed by the supervisor that I had talked to earlier that the money would be in my bank account in 1 to 2 hours, now I am going to have to wait 5 to 7 business days. This is of course if this support person was telling me the truth. I just have to wonder if this is so. I have been told two different things by two different people. I just hope that Amazon.com is not trying steal my money, it sure makes you wonder? I have been posting this everywhere about Amazon.com, I just wanted to let you know about The Federal Trade Commission. They are there to help the consumer. Go check it out www.ftc.gov. Let's start letting the commission know about some of the things that Amazon.com is doing to the consumer...
To file a complaint, just go to ftc.gov/complaint, and answer the questions or call. That's all there is to it. If you've been ripped off or scammed, complain to the Federal Trade Commission. For three days I contacted the seller and Amazon customer service; every time receiving the same answer: "automated process; cannot cancel; refuse package when it arrives" even though I told them in each email I sent that there would be nobody home. Amazon has security issues that they are unwilling or unable to pinpoint. This has been going on for months and I still don't have an answer. In fact, Amazon basically has stated they don't know who accessed my account (repeatedly), nor do they care and they will not be responding to me anymore. My BBB Complaint: There have been unauthorized charges on my account for months. I have called and gotten refunds on some of the ones I was aware of, spent hours on the phone with Amazon, and they have yet to be able to figure out who is making these charges or how to prevent it from happening. As it stands, they still owe me money for unauthorized charges on my Amazon credit card as well as an Amazon gift card.
One representative was attempting to assist me. He called me and left a message that he would call back in 30 minutes. Not sure if he did, but I was unavailable and he didn't leave any way for me to contact him, as is usually the case with Amazon reps so each time I have to deal with someone new. At first, Amazon was telling me the charges were being done on the firestick my husband has. This is impossible as the firestick at that point hadn't been connected for weeks. Then they said it was a kindle, which we have never owned. They also stated it was coming from an IP address that was a Comcast provider in Leominster. My home internet is Verizon and we have never stepped foot in Leominster. I was also told it was subscriptions. I never had any subscriptions through Amazon. I never made any digital purchases through Amazon and there were no subscriptions visible to me on my Amazon account.
I actually sent them screenshots of this fact. The rep apparently began deleting whatever subscriptions were visible to him, but within an hour there was another unauthorized charge. I called immediately. I took several steps to try to stop it, including changing my password multiple times, turning off one-click, which was turned on by an unauthorized party, removed Amazon Prime which was an unauthorized subscription and added 2 step login which requires me to put in a code sent to my cell phone in order to log in. Nothing worked. I then deleted all payment methods. At this point no one knows how the purchases are being made, even when they disabled my password, purchases were made.
Desired Resolution: I want Amazon to refund every digital charge there has ever been made to my account. I also want them to get to the bottom of this security breach as it violates wire transfer laws. It shouldn't be difficult to see how an account is being accessed, yet they seem completely clueless. Mail me my gift card so that I can close my account and refund my Amazon Credit card for the unauthorized charges that have not been refunded along with anything else that has not been refunded. A company as big as Amazon should be more responsive to security issues. A quick google search shows, I am not the only one this has happened to.
I want the credit card payments refunded to the credit card and the gift card payments issued to a new gift card, seeing it that even without any payment method attached to the account someone has been placing free digital orders. You guys have been unable to figure out who is accessing my account and how. That account is compromised and I'm eager to shut it down, however, my gift card balance is attached to that account and that is the only thing keeping me from shutting it down. It would be asinine of Amazon to issue the gift card refund to a gift card attached to a compromised account.
It is a HUGE problem for me that Amazon continues to make it seem like it's something I did. The problem with this is there were orders being generated after my password was changed (multiple times), while Amazon had my account disabled, with 2 step security, with no payment methods on the account, after all the subscriptions on the account (only visible to Amazon) were removed by Amazon and there had been several complaints made to Amazon. Amazon has given me various different reasons for why it happened, none of which have been accurate. Amazon has disabled my account to investigate, and even though there were unauthorized orders still going through with phone calls being made by me to Amazon informing them of the problem they reinstated my account without fixing the problem.
One tech even promised me compensation above and beyond what I'm out for my frustration shown by my many emails and phone calls informing Amazon of the problem. Amazon should be able to identify how orders are being placed on my account. What IP address? Was a password used? Was it an app? What permissions did it have to access my amazon account and make orders? Then figure out, "how do we pull those permissions/deny it access?" As large of a company as Amazon is, you'd think you'd have a more secure site.
Do you think this is the first time you disable my access? Think it's the first time you send me a generic email with security protocols that have all been done repeatedly? Dig deeper. Even if I did something, Amazon should be able to figure out what it was and how we undo it. Right now Amazon's position remains "we don't know how there was a security breach so we're just going to blame the client." This is unacceptable. This is far from over.

This is apparent every time Amazon is called regarding orders, especially through CreateSpace. It's apparent their workers have NO experience with the process other than what they've been instructed to regurgitate.
What Amazon needs to realize is the money they're saving by outsourcing is NOT justified by the amount of business they are losing. They may be good, but they could be great -- and they aren't. Their customers are NOT first, and it shows. Because the book is called "The ABC's of Positive Thinking", my complaining makes me feel ridiculous, but many negative experiences have caused me to seek ways of acknowledging the poor service in hopes of Amazon making necessary adjustments. After extensive research I realized that Amazon charged my visa card the wrong amount. I spent days attempting to contact Amazon via their website. As I could find no other means to contact them. After several more days they sent me an email explaining that it was a rare system error and the money would be returned to my card within 5 business days! On top of this I received 3 huge late charges from the Utility companies who auto withdraw from this account to pay my monthly bills, I was unable to access any of my money for almost two weeks. Altogether it cost me $242.00 and made my family miserable for the entire period. Amazon refuses to compensate for their mistake after admitting that it was 100% their fault. Amazon is far too large of a company and honestly has zero respect for anyone, as they look at all customers as easily disposable. In the last 3 years the shipping policies for Prime members have slipped to the point where I never know if I will even receive a package I have paid for. Now, they have so many disreputable sellers on Amazon that it is not even worth using their site anymore. I bought two pairs of boots from PRIME, and a week later, wanted to exchange them because they ran terribly small. My only option was to return them and now pay twice as much than I paid 7 days ago! They were not on sale! Also sent wrong return label and have not responded to my numerous requests for a correct label. I am returning using the wrong information they sent and will just have my credit card company deal with them if I have to. AMAZON really sucks these days!

I don't believe that is fair to future buyers showing it was twice the price from Costco. I did put a 5 star as I really like the product.

An Amazon customer care agent cancelled an order I had placed without my consent when I had asked for assistance with an address change. However, the customer care agent didn't even bother to see that I had changed the address myself already. When I reported this, another customer care agent told me that it was my fault and alleged that the cancellation was because I was an Indian resident and that I should report the issue to Amazon.in. Even though I'm from India, I stay in San Jose, CA, and had ordered my product from Amazon.com.
Another customer care agent said that my credit card was rejected whereas this charge had even shown on my credit card and the consignment status said "Shipping today" when the order was cancelled. The surplus that I would have to pay with a reorder would be around $50, as the prices for 3 of the products had gone up drastically. In return for their fault, they offered no apology, no offer to match the losses I would have to suffer, but a gift card of $10. It was really embarrassing to even be on the phone for 1.5 hours when the customer care manager gave me this offer.

And in between 7 and 22 I have contacted them many a time all told that "you have to wait till 22 to get your reissued check" but I didn't received it.
So when I contacted them on 23 they told me that "your new has not being issued as it is taking time so do you want to continue or choose other mode." I have chosen NEFT which they say takes less time. And I was told to wait for 4-5 business day and "you will receive it." But I didn't received it. On 4 July I also got the email of their billing team regarding that "you will receive your refund within 4-5 business day." But I didn't. I received confirmation of shipping saying the kindle & accessories had shipped on the 13th and would receive on the 14th. I received confirmation of my lotion order saying I would receive Friday when I would be gone. This was a prime item... had to pay extra to have it shipped overnight in order to receive it. Not pleased with Amazon shipping lately. Have been a Prime member since the service has been offered. Amazon's new in house shipping service has now lost a shipment that was listed as delivered, even though I was home at the time of the alleged delivery. I have received a partial shipment, even though the shipping label had the proper weight for the complete shipment and now, items ordered on Prime Day are still showing as pending 2 days later when I should have received the items by now.
When shipping mishaps have occurred in the past, and there have only been a modest few, a call to customer service would get items next day aired to me at no additional charge. No such luck with these last few problems. The only recourse offered was to cancel the order. I kinda needed the stuff or I would not have ordered it and I kinda needed on time in most cases. That's now 4 items of the last 6 items ordered that have had issues. No expectation of perfection, but the percentage on errors, for me personally appears to be on the rise and the "make it right" customer service that I have grown to expect is on the decline.

I started doing business with Amazon more than 15 years ago. I was a Prime subscriber almost from the start, and they came to be my go-to for most items, aside from groceries and clothing. The two main reasons for this were their customer service (which was always extremely helpful and responsive), and the immediacy of Prime shipping, which always got my purchases to me on time, if not early.
Over the past year, especially in 2016, I have noticed both their service in general, and their customer service in particular, has gotten substantially worse. They do everything possible to minimize shipping costs, including shipping even expensive items USPS parcel post, from half way across the country, with a guaranteed delivery date that generally won't be met as a result. USPS, for their part, has on a number of occasions marked these packages as "delivered", 1-3 days before delivery actually takes place, presumably so they can claim to have delivered on time. On three occasions this year, USPS has lost one of my packages. The most recent occurrence, I was advised by Amazon customer service to "wait a few days and see if it shows up". I used to pay less for 2-day shipping, and they provided 2-day shipping. Now I have late and lost packages, and their response is to ask me to wait longer, and hope it works itself out.
They also no longer will do an adjustment on items that drop in price after ordering, even if that price change occurs immediately. I ordered a Blu-ray that dropped in price by 38% the day after I had ordered it, before it had even been delivered (the 2-day shipping also took 4 days). I was flatly denied a price adjustment by Amazon's customer service. I wound up refusing delivery, and buying it somewhere else. This most recent Prime day, I received an email the day before stating that they were offering $30 off of a $150 purchase with the Amazon Visa card, until 11:59 PM PT on Prime day. The promotion was terminated 12 hours prior to that deadline, and customer service was borderline rude in denying me the credit when I contacted them.
It occurred to me at this point that the value of the service I was receiving from Amazon just wasn't worth the aggravation of dealing with their outsourced CSRs, or paying the increasingly inflated Prime fees, especially considering they were consistently unable to meet the basic standard for which the service was created in the first place. Prime eligible items are typically more expensive. On top of the $100 you're already paying. Anything smaller has a premium applied to it in order to justify the shipping cost. If you're shopping for non-Prime items, you have to sift through items that are shipped from China and take a month to arrive, with no way to filter them out short of choosing Prime only. If you have a problem, customer service apparently won't help you if they can avoid doing so - if their English is good enough to understand your problem in the first place. What's Amazon's competitive advantage?
I used to think it was good customer service, but that's no longer the case. Fast, efficient service also seems to be becoming a thing of the past - I can get free shipping from the competition without having to choose between "spend $50 and wait 3 weeks for it to ship" or "pay $100 for parcel post". They've never had the lowest prices, and in a lot of cases their Prime items have gotten more expensive relative to the competition. I've cancelled all of my open orders, all of my subscribe and save items, as well as my Amazon Visa card and my Prime membership. This is no longer the company I once enjoyed doing business with.

I have been shopping on Amazon for years and overall been satisfied with the experience until recently... They are basically extorting shoppers into buying their prime membership by holding onto orders for so long!
I have been frustrated by this for a while now but when, today, I received an order from TARGET that I had only ordered yesterday I had to vent about Amazon's bad business practices! And I had free shipping from Target as well! I am now avoiding Amazon if I can find what I am looking for elsewhere unless I do not need the ordered items for a month! Ridiculous! On July 12th it was "Prime day", a day supposedly dedicated to making prime members feel loved with good deals. And there was a great deal! This was for a 1TB Xbox One console with an additional controller, a game, and a $50 amazon gift card, all for only $299. I added this deal to my cart, and seeing how it wasn't a lightning deal and didn't say anything about a limited quantity, I agreed to apply for the store credit card before finalizing the purchase.
When I got back from the application, I'd been booted out of the checkout and was told the deal was no longer available! What a joke. I contacted customer service 3 times and each time was met with stupidity. "Oh well there's a 500GB console for $287 that's a similar deal...sort of. Well this was a lightning deal, so we can't guarantee you get it". Actually Amazon, this wasn't a lightning deal. And the only reason I let you probe my credit and take my information is for this deal, which you refused to give me.
I am tired of Amazon only caring about money and itself. You are supposed to care about your customers, and taking something out of a shopping cart is not okay. If you worked at a normal store you wouldn't go up to someone standing in a checkout line and take a tv out of their cart and give it to someone else, so why can you do that online?

During a lightning deal during Prime Day, 7/12/16, I purchased a Hisense 43H7C2 43-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV for $299.99. I am a Prime member and expected delivery to be within a reasonable amount of time. I get a confirmation email saying that the television is going to be shipped between August 18th and September 1st, which is about 5-7 weeks from the time of purchase. When I purchased it, the item was not out of stock. Further, when I checked on the item about an hour later, Amazon jacked the price to $397.90 and said the estimated delivery time is between 2 and 7 days (July 14-July 19). The number of items they had in stock over an hour after I bought them fluctuated from 10 to 5 to 9 and then back to 10 over a thirty minute period, which gave me an indication of the shadiness of their practices that I was in store for.
I emailed Amazon and they quickly got back to me and had a processed answer saying that sometimes things are out of stock. I wrote back to them saying that not only did it not say that it was out of stock, but it was a lightning deal that tracks how many orders it has remaining, and furthermore it is advertising the same product for almost a hundred dollars more and promising shipping between 2 and 7 days. I emailed them again stating this and they wrote back.
"I completely understand your concern that you need this product at the earliest. Furthermore to rectify the situation. I've checked the details for Hisense 43H7C2 43-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2016 Model) and found that this item is In stock but may require an extra 1-2 days to process your order. Although the shipping method is faster, it'll take time to get the item. As soon as we receive more stock, we'll ship your order and send you an e-mail." Notice that in the third line they said that the item is in stock and then in the fourth line that "as soon as we receive more stock we'll ship your order."
I guess it costs more money to have a person respond to you than to have a computer generate a blanket nonsensical statement. So only after I inquire about why it would take so long do they say they are out of stock (or not depending on the line you are reading) on a product they displayed as a "lightning deal." I then called customer service and the option the first representative told me was to cancel the order, trying to buy it from a third party, and then Amazon will help you. I told her that the whole point of Amazon was to not go through that hassle, and being a Prime member giving business on an advertised blowout sale it was hurting my faith in the company. She said that she could offer my package to be shipping 1 day shipping instead of 2 day shipping.
I thought this was reasonable, but then she said that would mean that instead of getting the package at the earliest August 18th, I would get the package at the earliest August 17th. I told her of the absurdity of that option of offering 4 weeks and 6 days rather than 5 weeks for shipment and asked for a supervisor. Her supervisor told me the same exact thing.
To summarize, I buy a lightning deal item on Prime Day, they don't have it in stock and do not make that known until the confirmation email, then tell me what they can do for me is cancel my purchase and have me start again (for an extra hundred dollars this time) or have my shipping "expedited" from 5 weeks to 4 weeks and 6 days at the earliest. Make sure if you are going to participate on Prime Day that you are not getting scammed like I did.
Updated on 7/13/2016: I got a third email the next morning responding to an email request I never put in about a refund. I email stated that a refund was not appropriate at this time. I never requested a refund for the product; that was the position they took yesterday that I rejected and they went and started the paperwork anyway. In another twist, the representative gave the wrong order number to the billing department and so after calling Amazon again they said that the billing department's email was in reference to not refunding me $2.58 for a discrepancy from a DVD I purchase eight years ago. I spent another hour on the phone with them reiterating my problems with them about yesterday, the terrible job their robots are doing in writing emails, and how the representative yesterday both disregarded my refusal to cancel an order and sent the wrong information anyway.
At the end of this hour long conversation, two new representatives from today told me that I could wait 5-7 weeks for my shipment or cancel the order. I suggested that, because they have the same product on their shelves that they are advertising 2-5 day shipment, to pay the third party for that television and then to ship it to me in the initially advertised fashion (not 5-7 weeks). They refused. So I wasted another hour talking to Amazon after wasting an hour the previous day for their shady business practices, their reliance on robots to generate communication, their representative's ineptitude.

Last year, my internet/cable provider was offering a year of Amazon Prime for free with new service. I used the code on my account and activated the free time. Well, yesterday I see the $99 charge for the Prime renewal on my bank account. Why does Amazon not notify customers via email that they are going to be renewing this automatically? Especially as the only reason I even HAD Prime was because it was FREE. When I went to cancel, I see an option to notify three days before renewing a subscription. Well, thanks. That's not helpful at all now. I submitted a refund request, but of course that will take a week and the damage has already been done to my bank account as I was not prepared for that charge.
I know other people who have had this issue with Prime renewals. Companies should always notify customers BY DEFAULT for yearly renewal charges and provide an option to turn off notifications for those who don't want them. I've not been really happy with the Prime service anyway. I don't think $99 a year is worth getting a package a couple of days sooner as I don't care much for any of the other so called "benefits" that it offers. And this whole fiasco has made me determined to never subscribe again. So buyer beware. If you ever subscribe to Amazon Prime, even if it's free at the time, you'd better either remove all your payment methods from your account or remember the date, because you'll be charged and you won't be notified about it!

For the first time today (July 11th) I had to deal with Amazon phone customer service. It is even hard to find their customer service phone number from their Amazon website. I called it today to try to solve a technical problem from their website that indicated that I needed to update my credit card on file for my Seller's Account - even though they had a valid credit card on file that does not expire until 2017.
After having tried to enter another credit card for their system, I got the same message that I needed to update my credit card information. I also received two emails on the same subject. I tried to explain to "Edmond" that my card was valid and that somehow their system had glitched. He just kept repeating the same message - "Contact your bank to verify that your card is valid."
After twenty minutes of getting nowhere with Edmond, I asked for a supervisor. While I was waiting, I did call my bank and not only verified that the credit card was still valid but that Amazon had tried to process a $0 transaction and rejected the card. The bank representative verified that the problem was on Amazon's end. When I presented this information to Edmond, he then said I should try to enter the card information again (after I had tried three previous times before I called customer service). After entering the credit card information for the fourth time for the day, I got the same error message that the credit card was not accepted. I explained this to Edmond and he just kept repeating that the problem was on my end.
After nearly an hour of being on hold to try to speak to a supervisor, Edmond stated that an hour was almost up and that the call 'might' be dropped. I gave him my cell phone number in case and as we approached an hour, he came back on the line and all of a sudden indicated that he could not hear me on the line (even though he had not had any problem up until then). He then stated that since he could not hear me he was hanging up and did.
I believe that he lied in order to get rid of the call since the Amazon system can see that he had been on the call nearly an hour. I assume that he would have gotten in trouble if the call had exceeded an hour so he lied about not hearing me and hung up. I can't believe how bad the phone customer service level is from Amazon. The sad thing, is that because Amazon locked my account, I cannot service my customer who just placed a buy order for an item. Bought this for $399. Less than 14 days later, the price was dropped to $349. I reached out to Amazon and they said if I wanted to get it at the new price, they would send me shipping labels but I would have to package it back up and send it back, wait for refund and then re-order! I said that defies common sense! It would save both of us time and money if you just applied a credit to my account for the difference instead of requiring all that red tape. Amazon denied my request.
Additionally, when I asked for the head of Customer Service contact information, the Amazon rep told me, and I quote, to "google" it! I emailed the VP of Customer Service, but my complaint was forwarded to another person, who apparently has no title and no reply email address who said they were sorry, they weren't going to do anything, and that they "won't be able to comment further on this matter". I have been an Amazon Prime member for several years. The membership was pretty decent at first, but as time goes by Amazon's trend is to provide less and less for the same or more cost. Their movie selection mostly sucks, and if you want to watch recent popular movies, you have to dig into your wallet for that. Even some shows they produce themselves lead you into the first part of a series for free to get you hooked, then they demand 'rental fees' for the succeeding series. To me, that is dishonest! At least Netflix provides the shows they list for no additional cost.
Amazon's 'product reviews' are a total scam. The system they use for submitting reviews allows for reviews without checking the source. That allows third parties to submit multiple 'favorable' reviews even when they have not purchased the item from Amazon. From what I can tell Amazon makes no effort at all to validate or police the reviews. The reason? Well of course Amazon makes a profit on anything sold through their system. What could possibly go wrong with such a system? Again, to me that is VERY dishonest!
But, I think my biggest gripe is that Amazon provides no way for customers to complain or criticize their dishonest practices. None, nada, zippo. You can search all day for contact information - even a brick and mortar address, and you will remain in a total information vacuum. Amazon has ZERO interest in hearing from their customers unless they are sending money. That is as in ZERO INTEREST! Unfortunately Amazon is not the only online business to operate this way, as it seems to be a common practice, and the bigger they are, the worse they abuse customers.
The ONLY thing the big online retailers worry about is how much money they can extract and how often they can do so from their customers. It is a pity business ethics are disappearing in our digital age. But the upside is that these bozos are also providing an opening for a truly customer-oriented operation to come in to eat their lunches. That, and the potential for truly record setting class action lawsuits.

I called and was told that it would definitely be delivered on July 7th and that Amazon would refund my next day shipping. I waited all day on July 7th for the TV. The TV never arrived. They had no answer.
The agent put me on hold and said that she would call the USPS about the delivery. She came back online and said that she had spoken with the USPS and had been told it would be delivered by 3:00 p.m. She told me that she would call me back at 4:00 p.m. to confirm the delivery. At 4:20 p.m., I had no TV and no call from Amazon. So, I called Amazon. All the agent could tell me was that, in checking his tracking information, he could see the TV was "in transit." I told him that I had reserved a man to come out to mount my TV based upon Amazon's "guarantee" and all he could say was, "I'm sorry. I know you are frustrated." For starters, there is no way to contact Amazon and get a real resolution to anything, so here I am. I ordered an Echo, which was scheduled for a Sunday delivery on the 4th of July weekend. I was home waiting for the delivery and around noon I get an email that a delivery attempt had been made however they were unable to gain access to the house. What? I immediately called the 800 number and said I didn't have a gate. They insisted that the driver was there but I was certain he wasn't because my dog didn't bark. I have three security cameras between the street and my front door, including a license plate reader and so I looked at the video. Not only did it not show that anyone came to the house, it also showed that nobody came near the house or my neighbors along the drive.
There was simply no attempt at a delivery. I called the logistics number again and said that the driver lied, that there was no attempt to bring anything to this address. They never bothered to even try and deliver anything here. He said he would contact the driver and assured me that it would be routed back out. I called around 6 PM and I was assured that the driver had until 10:00 PM, to make the delivery, and that it was on the delivery vehicle, out for delivery. At 8:50 PM I called again and this time the story was completely different. Now they told me that the driver couldn't find the house on the second attempt. I again checked the video and not only was there no second attempt, there was no vehicle matching the description of any delivery vehicle anywhere all day. I canceled the order and then again Amazon in their reason for the canceled order changed the story, claiming that it was undeliverable. That was another lie!
I then wrote to customer service, now furious and I get a polite letter focused on the refund addressed to me as "Junie" whoever that is. Not only was there never any attempt to deliver a package on a Sunday, Amazon lied about it several times. I've been a customer since '99 and I'm upset enough about the lies that I'm not going back if I can help it. I wasted a whole day over something that was never in route. Since it shipped UPS Ground it wasn't tracked as well and lost. Guess what I ordered? A crutch so that I could walk. Big corporate greed wanted to keep that 30 bucks I paid extra for overnight shipping. Who cares that I haven't been able to walk for a week? Think about how many customers they have done this too. They have probably made millions overcharging people.

I have been shopping on Amazon for 5 years. Now, in 2016, I am cancelling my Prime membership and leaving Amazon altogether. Fire Phone was created then abandoned. So after it broke, could not replace. Fire Tablet forced me to purchase apps, limited selection, only from Amazon and would not allow Google Play apps. After placing an order, for products showing "available," it would take 4-5 days and sometimes 2 weeks, just to shop. Was told by Amazon to purchase products fulfilled by Amazon and not 3rd party sellers. Yet, either way, fulfilling orders took a week just to ship. 3rd party sellers have told me they have not shipped because payment is pending. Amazon says they don't pay until shipped. So contradictory. Whatever has happened to Amazon in the last year is incredibly downhill. I would not recommend their services to anyone for any product, or for any reason.

I used to rave about Amazon Prime and the benefits of it. The amazing 2 day shipping, the customer service, the products... But let me tell you something, i have just asked for a refund on my renewed account (which renewed last month) because 2 of the last 4 orders had arrived later than the 2 day period. So first, the one order wasn't even shipped by Amazon till after 24 hours of the order placed, which delayed the shipping speed, in which it got there 3 days after the order. Now, I know this may seem ridiculous that I'm complaining about something that arrived a day late, but guys, I am paying for this service. Not only did it upset me that my Prime membership wasn't really doing what it should, it was Amazon's fault for not shipping the same day (if ordered before 3pm EST).
On to the next order... I was first told it hadn't been shipped because of a delay in the fulfillment center, still no update. Then I was told that the fulfillment center closest to me did not have the items in stock. Still no update. Then I checked, the item was shipped 2 days after the order from a fulfillment center a city over (which is my local fulfillment center). So I was lied to twice by a diff. customer service rep. It gets worse. I had an order that I placed and the items never arrived (around $50 total in products). The customer service rep told me the item was discontinued (guys these were Pampers diapers - so I think it's safe to say that's a load of crap). Not only that but I went and rechecked the item and it was still for sale with no indication of it being "discontinued".
I feel that customer service has DECLINED horribly the past year and that I am just being told whatever is easiest to move me along from complaining. Which is not good practice. The fact that I pay for a service and am not receiving what is being advertised is not fair, I would not accept this from anyone... Now, on a positive note (the only reason I left my review at 2 stars) is because I always got refunds on orders or replacements. Now, these reviews that people are complaining about customer service and not being refunded are probably ordering from 3rd party, overseas, companies. I tend to always stick with Prime fulfillment or a location based in the US...
Also, there are a lot of companies that sell cheaper than the Amazon Prime price... Amazon also says delivery estimate being 7-10 business days - don't let that fool you, I've ordered plenty of things not at the Prime price and it was cheaper and got to me 2-3 day... I think 4/5 times I ordered it got to me in 2 days and again guys this was not Prime shipping, it was another seller listing on Amazon. So, yay! I'm no longer a Prime member, that $100 will not get you what you think it will. I continually find things cheaper elsewhere. Oh yeah, let's not forget about the reviews!!! You can never tell what is real and what isn't. Amazon needs to check these posts before they are submitted. They need to be monitored to prevent fraud. Good luck if you have Prime, but with my experience over the past year Amazon has greatly declined not only in value but customer service as well.

I order often from Amazon... so often that I became a Prime member. I ordered a gift for someone from the warehouse on June 16th. My account showed that the delivery would be between June 27-29. I couldn't understand why it would take 11-12 days to arrive but I had ordered it early enough to make it on time. Periodically, I would check my account for updates. Finally, it showed that it was on its way and would arrive by 8 pm on the 29th. I checked my bank and the money had been authorized for Amazon. I checked on the package all day while I was at work, hoping that it would not be delivered and sit outside. When I got home, I walked outside to check every half hour or so. It was getting close to 8 pm and no package. I checked my account and it said, "on time... arrive by 8 pm tonight." I also noticed now that it also said "not shipped yet".
I called Amazon Customer Service to see what was going on. After I explained my concerns, she pulled my order up and told me "oh, you ordered that from the warehouse and after you ordered, it became unavailable". My anger was mounting as she explained that they don't send out notifications if the product ends up being unavailable. The customer doesn't find out until the day it is supposed to show up... and it doesn't. I am extremely disappointed in Amazon and its customer service practices. She canceled my order and here I am... 13 days after I ordered, with no gift.
Apparently, this happens often with customers who order from the warehouse. They are never notified if the product is not available. The order goes through and they sit and wait and wait. Believe me, when I ordered something and forgot that my credit card expiration needed to be updated, within 30 min I received an email telling me my order didn't go through because I needed to update my payment info. Why couldn't I get the same consideration in this case??? How hard would it be to send an email within a day or two saying the product you ordered is no longer available???

I then escalated this to a claim and sent the information along with pictures to Amazon customer service. Oj has been requesting duplicate information from me and sending me emails saying if I do not send the information my case would be closed without any further action.
I've called Amazon's customer service numerous times to only get service from individuals with English speaking barriers and do not understand what I'm conveying. Amazon's policy for handling claims is 2 weeks, my claim has been open over 3 weeks after numerous emails to Amazon and the seller, numerous calls to Amazon and the seller and still no resolve. I have dealt with the customer service department 5 or 6 times over the past three weeks. Of course, none of these agents speak or understand English well, so you have to repeat things 3 or 4 times, and sometimes even more to get anyone to understand your issue. It seems as if these agents have absolutely no clue of what they are doing. Instead of going right to the root problem and finding a solution, they suggest several perfunctory solutions which never end up being a solution. Then the agent repeats questions they have already asked, because they don't know what else to talk about. I would imagine most of these people are barely graduates from high school with limited knowledge of the English language, and they have a job because Jeff Bezos would rather be cheap than hire competent individuals.
In short, my experiences with their "customer support" team have been less than useless; a more descriptive term would be, "criminal" for assuming the title of "customer support", and also because they waste so much time getting absolutely nothing done. I had to hang up on an agent just now because she was 100% useless and had no clue what she was talking about. Are you listening, Jeff Bezos? Time to get your head out of the sand and pay attention to what is happening inside your company.

I received a letter in the mail today denying me a credit card from Amazon. One of the reasons I was denied was because they said I have applied for this card numerous times in the past several months. This surprised me because I have NEVER applied for an Amazon Credit Card. The only thing I can figure out is I did apply for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime and for some reason they also ran a credit check on me for a card too. I cannot find a number on Amazon so that I can discuss this with them so I've decided to call Equifax and explain to them I did not apply for this card or any other Amazon credit card.
I am very upset that they took this upon themselves when I did not ask for it. I'm also worried that someone else got access to my personal information on Amazon and applied for this card without my knowing. If this happened Amazon needs to secure their site at once. I'm seriously considering taking legal action against them for this occurrence.

Off Shore Customer Service has to be costing Amazon a fortune! Here's the perfect example of 100 percent loss caused solely by them. Last week, I bought two bottles of vitamins. On Friday, I receive a text indicating they were delivered. I was home so I checked the porch and mailbox. They weren't there. I called customer service and after a lengthy conversation they agreed to replace them. Of course on Saturday, I received one shipment in the morning and one late afternoon.
Of course being an honest person, I called them just now to tell them and have them bill me for the second shipment. This was the single most frustrating conversation I believe I have ever had. She was unable to take the order number. I gave it to her eight times. She kept omitting numbers and adding dashes. How could she not know the format of her own order numbers?
Then we got to my shipping address. I have had the same address for nearly 15 years. I probably had over a hundred packages delivered by Amazon to this address. How could she possibly not be able to find the address? I'm sorry. I gave up. If a company uses foreign employees for customer service, they don't care about their root customer base. I got the message loud and clear today. I will not be using Amazon in the future. It's gotten expensive and customer service isn't. It's more like the customer frustration department. I'm sure they record these conversations just to entertain themselves with how frustrated they can make their customers.

My card data was saved on the Amazon. I did not make any approval for purchasing. I found there was an order for this Multi was delivered. When I asked why this occurred, I got a silly answer. That someone hacked my account and ordered this.
How this come!? A hacker hacked my account to order a vitamin for me. What a nice hacker! A vitamin that I already chose before and removed from the cart. No other money cut from the account except this for Adam Multi. I removed my card data from Amazon web page. If I want something I will use my card and remove it immediately after use. I told them the following messages "If you couldn't know how to trace login activities or suspicious activities, that mean you are not reliable at all!!"
There was not some one that used my card or phishing! It is your system that malfunction. The purchased vitamin had been selected from the cart and had been sent to my address. I insist it is your site fault. It is not about reset password. Your answer is technically or logically wrong. If someone wanted to steal my card data or any suspicious activity done, my bank will stop the card immediately." The customer service is insolent.

So on top of the inconvenience caused to me, I paid an additional 12 pound to return the item!
After many similar answers from the seller, I contacted Amazon who within hours answered me saying that "the seller is saying that he didn't receive the item and so he can't pay the refund. We consider the claim closed!!!" I already had this answer! Aren't they supposed to do more? It was the seller choice to use the cheapest service that doesn't come with recorded delivery, and since the item was damaged and they agreed on that fact, it should be their responsibility to retrieve it if needed!
Why should I trust the seller more than Royal Mail esp that Royal Mail was their choice?! And more importantly, where is Amazon in all that? All I received was polite empty answers dealing with nothing! Shouldn't they have challenged the seller? The item was damaged, shouldn't they have taken that into consideration? And what about all these prototype answers? Can't they write personal ones when they are dealing with an issue? Are we working with robots at Amazon?! The bigger it becomes the worse the service is at Amazon!

I have been an Amazon Prime Member for about a year and have enjoyed the free shipping and other benefits that come from being a prime member. However, when dealing with Amazon's customer service recently, it's not very good. I am surprised they still get such a high rating, but that may soon come down. Their customer service team is hit and miss - on occasion they are courteous and some occasions they are incredibly rude. Amazon recently had a promotion that I purchased for reloading a gift card into your Amazon account. If you deposit a certain amount of money, you get a free $5 included as a promotion for depositing into your Amazon account for store credit. Long story short, I was never given the $5 and Amazon's customer service team took an incredibly difficult stance with me on this, saying I was too late for the promotion, but despite this, they'd give me $5 in promotional credit - good for anything sold directly from Amazon.
That would be great if they actually followed through and gave me the promotional credit. However, Amazon refused and after a series of calls, I got an email from Amazon Customer Service stating they wouldn't do anything for me on this. I've decided to cancel my prime membership and start doing business elsewhere. I think they have gotten so big that losing customers is no big deal to them. Oh well. This review illustrates only one of several issues across a range of products that I had recently ordered. My experience clearly shows a degrading trend in customer support brought about by an apparent policy shift to reflect an illusion of 100% customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, it remains an illusion as embedded problems with their business strategies leaves the buyer in a position of full risk. I will reference only from documented history.
Short story! Ordered Omax microscope and received a box of loose parts scattered about in dirty condition. Contacted Amazon since the seller refused to replace the unit ($800.00). Seller stated that they only sell new products. Seller stated that I would be responsible for the return shipping and that any refund would be based on their evaluation. The seller further stated to Amazon that I would not be returning the product! Would you, based on the seller's terms and conditions??? Amazon customer service representative contacted seller who refused to cooperate. Amazon service representative said there was nothing more he could do!
If you think this issue is based on an irritated buyer, it is! First problem I had over dozens of recent purchases is that all Amazon representatives are based overseas. Unfortunately their command of the English language is such that they don't understand exactly what it is you are saying. In addition, and as a result of, the buyer is subjected to a nonsensical dissertation read from a queue card.
Buyer Beware! You are at the mercy! Another unrelated issue is the extraordinarily long wait time it takes to get a free shipping product mailed! I cancelled an order because of it and purchased the same product from a reliable EBay seller. Also beware that you need to find out if your product is coming directly from China, for which the wait time and poor packaging is a major problem. Ebay is very clear about this but Amazon leaves it obscure. I did not include a purchase receipt as this website only options for JPEG images, not text files, and I chose not to fool with it.

Amazon saved my number [I did not authorize Amazon to do this] and then charged me for the card. They sent the card somewhere??? But not to me. Or maybe they kept the money!? I dropped Gmail [because it was hacked] and do not use Amazon. I was told to file a police report so Amazon would do something. P.S. I was never directed to a payment site by Amazon.

Whenever I need to buy something... A gadget, a dress, tools or a gift for someone, I most often than not visit amazon.com. They practically have everything! And they deliver it to my home. Saves me the time and effort of going out and buying the things I need in different stores. Most of my items are delivered on time. Some are not, but I think it's the delivery company's fault. I recently bought a SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive. It came in good condition and the delivery crew was early. I had no issues. No complaints. Just good experience. My friends use eBay, but I think Amazon is better based on my experience. I tried eBay before and had a few not so good experiences so I tried Amazon. And I had no problems since then.

I was trying to order an item and then I was offered a $50 credit if I applied for their credit card. I read the terms and conditions and they were similar to other credit cards so I applied. I was approved immediately and then it was written I would have to pay $99. I called Amazon four different times. No one could help me. I wanted to find out if my order went through (if so, I wanted to cancel it). I also wanted to cancel the credit card. The first "customer service" person said someone would call me back in 10-15 minutes. After an hour I called back. This person also couldn't help me and said someone would call me in 1-2 hours. After 2 hours I called back. This person couldn't help me and was somewhat rude. As I was speaking, he hung up on me!
Later I called back and told this fourth person what I went through. He said to get on my home computer. I told him I didn't have one. He said he could only help me with my home computer. Again I said I didn't have one. Over 10 times he said he could only help me with my home computer. I said, "I don't have a home computer". He said "borrow one" and we were disconnected. It's been over 22 hours and no one has ever called me. I was shocked to be treated this way by Amazon because I thought they had a good reputation.

I bought a flash for my camera from 47th Street Photo through Amazon.com. It was offered as a bundle with a backpack, microphone and some other accessory. To my surprise the flash was a completely different brand, not the flash nor the microphone fit my camera. I bought with confidence because this seller had a 99% positive feedback rating. To my surprise they wanted me to pay for the return shipping, although the wrong item was completely their fault. I refused to spend more money on this issue and contacted Amazon, they refused to work with me.
I posted negative one star feedback for this seller. It disappeared a day later and the feedback rating went back to 99% positive. I checked the feedback page for this seller days later and saw two negative one star postings from other customers. They disappeared an hour later. The feedback rating went back to 99% positive. I will never buy from Amazon.com or 47th Street Photo again.
