I love Amazon's awesome website for all my shopping needs!! I love how easy it is to shop and find exactly what I am looking for and it usually ships in about three days! I love their giveaways and I have won many prizes and e-books. When I am looking for a specific item I check out Amazon.com first and I am never disappointed. I can usually find what I am looking for with ease! I am beginning to think that if Amazon.com doesn't have it, it doesn't exist! I will be shopping there for many years to come!!

It's easy to find what I want and the prices are good. They carry everything and let you save gift cards to use on the site. There is also Amazon Prime, but I don't use it myself. I dislike the shipping charges as they charge you separately to ship your items and it adds up. When you look to order something that should be about 7$, it ends up costing at least 12$. Also, they only let you save 3 gift cards to the site so it's hard to save up for big items. But then I got what I ordered on time and it was in new condition. If there was a problem, they fixed it or gave me a refund and it didn't take as long to arrive as they had said it would.

I love Amazon. I love all the wide variety of things they have. Also, the reviews are fantastic plus it's easy to get the best price for items. I am always happy with Amazon. It is great and I use it all the time. Overall, when I purchase on Amazon I will search my item, go through all my options, read and compare prices and reviews then make my choice. From time to time I will continue to browse or make further comparisons then make my ultimate decision. I would recommend to anyone.

My overall experience using Amazon is usually pretty good. The website is easy to navigate and it is set up in an organized layout however you cannot physically see the item before you buy it or try it on and I do not like the tax. But there are tons of different things you can shop for and they basically have everything.

Excellent experience in every way. I have always received my products and at very decent prices. What I don't like such as items arriving when I'm not home is overshadowed by Amazon's outstanding selections and low prices. The economy shipping option also which means it takes forever for your item to arrive. I wish the delivery drivers could call you when they show up. But Amazon are trustworthy, and they always have the products I am looking for and a variety of different colors and models to choose from. The companies that are selling on Amazon are also legit.

I can always find what I want on Amazon. The product selection is great and the purchasing process is easy and quick. The "save for later" and "wishlist" features are really helpful. Their customer service is great and they have a very fast shipping so I get the items very quickly. In addition, I like the Prime membership and that it includes instant video which alone is worth the hundred dollars Prime costs but I often struggle with it. It's very hard to use and needs some major improvements and more free content. The Amazon marketplace can be hit or miss. I've gotten burned before and I also have been sent the wrong item not once but twice in the last six months, which indicates a quality control issue in the warehouses. The individual seller aspect needs to be improved.

Amazon has a great variety and have excellent electronics They are also very user friendly with their tablet computers. The company is overall a very understanding and is very different from other corporate companies that I have done business with in the past. I would rate them as one of the best companies in the business for computer electronics. They also are a leader in their industry at everything from sales to customer service. I don't see why anyone would like to shop at any other company as I feel that they are the best at what they do for the average consumer.
One thing that I don't like about Amazon is the price of their prime membership. Their prime membership is very costly and it always seems to come due at Christmas time when people don't have a lot of money to spend. The other thing is that sometimes you get people on the phone that don't speak very good English and are hard to understand. I used to say that they had the best customer service because they didn't outsource any of their customer service. That seems to have changed as of late and I have been getting people that don't seem to understand English very well and based on this assumption I have found that they have given me erroneous advice in the past and have not comprehended the existing problem that I was asking help for. This is something that they should rectify in a very timely manner as this would cause a lot of frustration on the part of the consumer.

Amazon.com is easy to use and you can find what you want or need and find the lowest price with free shipping. You can save things in your cart to buy later and they resolve any issues quickly. But I don't like that you are limited if you do not have Prime and that you have to pay for it. I also don't like that you have a minimum to order to get free shipping but I like the free shipping. I also like that things ship fairly quick too.

I really like Amazon because it has a very big selection you can choose from and not only that, but it also has multiple people who are competing for your business. But, I don’t like the way that Amazon treats the sellers. Then they also undercuts all the sellers on there by bringing their own brand on there and choking out the competition. My experience sucked as a seller. They blackballed me on product and it took them over a month to fix it. The whole time I was unable to sell and still having to pay for the account.

I like the diversity of products in one place, competitive prices, consumer reviews of products, and fast shipping. I usually find what I'm looking for and don't encounter out of stock products. The products are as described on the site. Also, if I wish to send a gift to someone that may consist of two or three items, I can usually find all those items on this one site. If I have a problem with something I receive, their customer service is helpful.
However, it can seem overwhelming to find something there. There are a lot of products to go through even when I use search filters. Also, although Amazon prices are competitive, I can frequently find a cheaper price elsewhere if I look. And I don't like the fact that you have to join Amazon Prime in order to get free shipping. That annual fee always feels to me like I'm paying to shop with them. And now, Walmart's is directly competing with them by providing free shipping so that makes Amazon Prime even less appealing.

They have a great selection with reasonable prices. It might be nice if they offered a price match guarantee... and at times the 2 day shipping takes a little longer. But I enjoy the free shipping with Prime. Also the application is easy to navigate. I'm able to usually always find what I'm looking for. Also part of my purchase is donated. Great experience overall. I've had to at times return items and was able to do so easily. Purchasing is always without a hassle, quick and simple and you have a window to change the order if needed.

They have a wide variety to choose from. With new and used products at great prices. And reliable shipping at reasonable prices and easy tracking for packages and if you order more than one item they will ship as much together as possible. My main concern is not being home when the package or packages arrive. I wish they would make all packages have to be signed for by someone in the home of the delivery address. Also, I hate waiting for anything, but with shopping online there is always a wait and shopping online gives me a bigger variety. Overall shopping online is great with Amazon.com. They have a great selection and great customer service.

Someone used my email and Amazon account to order a small item with a gift card. I didn't order anything and wanted to know whom and how they got into my account. They were all fake nice and pretended they were on the case. I filled out an IC3 complaint form for computer criminal activity. I feel it was done by my disgruntled doctor (believe it or not) as I was forced to make a complaint against her negligence (I'm really not a complainer, it has to be really bad, and it was, as I feel this hacking was). It was the exact same time frame and she's the only one with my personal info.
I told them who I thought it was as I did my own detective work and discovered ties between the doctor and addressee. I think they talked their way out of it or bribed out of it, because all of a sudden they said there was no record of it. I saved the emails that said my order was on its way and sent that to them. They ended up closing my account and saying I used an insufficient gift card or some BS and that person goes unpunished. I'm just thankful I didn't have a credit card on file or I would have been ripped off. Please be careful with that site!!

Bought item directly from Amazon, came on time and next day got a flag from Amazon... "Want to buy it again" Out of curiosity I viewed and it was, sold again by Amazon $80.00 cheaper. Contacted them and their policy is no discounts after the sale... Was told I can return and buy at the new price... Does this make any sense?? But I re-wrapped the item and agreed to a $14.00 and some change charge returned and bought the item again but now only $66.00 ahead but worth the effort. Contacted by THEIR customer service on my experience, so I told them. They answered that the employees' responses were within policy and that if I followed up further on this, THEY WILL NOT RESPOND!!! So I guess it's the AMAZON WAY or NO WAY.

I ordered this generator (DuroMax XP10000EH, 8000 Running Watts/10000 Starting Watts, Dual) in March, the shipping notice said it would arrive by May 5th. It never arrived. Amazon would not stand behind the sale because it was from a 3rd-party seller. I expected them to sell me one for the same price because they had them in stock. I have been a Prime customer since 2005 and they threw me away like trash. So much for customer loyalty. I did get a refund but am still deeply disappointed and will not be a customer until this is resolved appropriately.

For the most part I've been pleased with shopping on Amazon. Their prices are competitive. Sure there have been some issues with return shipping and poor products but that's to be expected. What I did not expect was to be charged for Amazon FreeTime for months without my consent. My son was given an Amazon Kindle for kids for Christmas, which he never uses, and somehow two years later I was charged monthly for a "subscription" to FreeTime. I never agreed to it and what's worse is it was charging my Amazon credit card. So you automatically are enrolled in FreeTime and then they simply charge their card. Easy money for them. Headache for you. So stay away from the Kindle. Get an iPad instead.

I am writing this review because I cannot believe how totally unable Amazon are to do joined up thinking, to actually read and take in the information given to them and ability to follow through on a complaint, I think other people need to know Amazon are not perfect and when it counts totally let you down. WARNING ABOUT AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE - EVEN PRIME MEMBER AND PRIME ITEM. I WANT TO SCREAM!!! I waited in a caravan, on my own, on a very quiet site in the Welsh hills for a prime item deliver of a mattress from Amazon (placed on the 14th of April) until yesterday, when I had to come home. I suffer from muscular skeletal problems and also some times mental fog making life very difficult for me. I was in pain from having no comfortable sleeping place (hence the need for the mattress) and have appointments in the week this week, some I even had to remake after waiting there so long.
Those who know me know this was not easy for me. I told Amazon this, I have explained through numerous emails the why's and were for's of this. Today I got an email today saying they were going to deliver on Tuesday! After fires, forgetting to replace the order, recalling the delivery when it was out with the courier (no one knows why or how this was done!) and I had waited in all day, not even taking the dogs up the field or the rubbish to the bin in case I missed them - and once again I had to call them and ask why the delivery had been cancelled - they told me a lie and said the courier couldn't find the site - when someone at Amazon had cancelled it! Even my 78 year old Mom and a sat nav find it, and then being told it was out of stock, after five days of checking if it had been dispatched days of waiting, and only when I asked about it.
There were four orders, three can still be seem on my account details, which means no one would know there had ever even been a problem because the information, emails and contacts would relate to a totally different order. No joined up thinking and no ability to expedite this in any way, until now, when it is impossible and they were told this. Both Ian, my partner, and I have spent many hours doing emails, making calls and trying to sort this out, they knew I would not be there this week as I told them repeatedly I had to leave on Saturday and could not return for some time - and now they do this on me. It feels like spite and the want for me to cancel at the old lower price (now over 80 pounds more). What the hell is the point of communicating with these people when they take absolutely no notice and make it as hard as they can?
Non of the delays or problems have been caused by us, until now, and they knew I was leaving on Saturday and would not be able to get back. Looking on various sites it seems Amazon are useless if they give bad service. I wonder if the fact the price has gone up by 80 quid and the constant questions of "Do you want to cancel" have anything to do with all this. My advice is NEVER order anything big or expensive from Amazon. They may be great at small items and very convenient but what they have managed to achieve in customer service in this case beggars belief. It's like some track or route every individual follows where nothing gets tied together and no one can step off the track to change prevent the crash, only mess it up, spout platitudes and in essence, unless you get to the point where you contact the CEO's office - then when they pull their finger out they still manage to ignore all your information and cause even more problems.
They were told well before booking this delivery I could not be there so why on earth send it when you have been informed no one will be there after four weeks of waiting there in get discomfort? Hang just checked the item on Amazon the price has been reduced once again but not to the same price I ordered at. Seems prices are a yo yo game too. I can't add to verify my buy because they have raised the latest order on an Amazon gift card and not a record of my payment, as I said, there have been multiple orders raised for just this one item, every time they have a problem they wipe the history by raising a new order - madness.
I use Amazon because I have problems getting out, up until now they have never had a problem. The mark of a good company can be seen in how they deal with problems and from this experience they seem totally incapable of joined up thinking when dealing with a problem. I feel so let down and ignored - I have given truthful and complete information and been met with a wall of indifference, protocol, non follow up and even it seems deliberate actions designed to increase the problem not resolve it.

I have had two recent issues with items I purchased from Amazon. I have purchased around $2k from them over the past year and a half and had no problems at all until the last month. The first occurred when I ordered an item and received a totally unrelated item instead. That was irritating with having to ship it back and wait for credit to my account. But, today, I received an HP printer from them (a fairly pricey one). It would not print wirelessly or with the USB cord. 3 hours on the phone with HP tech support and still no printing. Of course, I ordered the instant ink card with it and used it during the setup which the prompts tell you to do. Now, I am out the price of the card and they are charging me for shipping it back, so I am paying for something that was defective and losing the card.
I called customer service (after spending 15 minutes searching the web for a phone number) and both the rep and supervisor I spoke with (after 30 minutes on hold) spoke English as a second language. The only response from the so called supervisor was "he would report my complaint". I have been a Prime member and spent a substantial amount of money with them and I expected better. I told them as soon as my credit is posted, "I will be deleting my account, cancelling my Prime subscription, and cancelling my auto delivery subscription." That didn't even get them to care at all. I have been a customer service manager for over 15 years with a Fortune 100 company so I know what good service is. I would rate them an F!

I tried to cancel this item and get refund. That went sour. I contacted Amazon and that went sour. They want me to wait for item to come and send back to seller, then wait another 5-10 days for refund. I wonder what if they sell items then wait 10-40 days for payment. How will they feel? There are plenty of other buying options than just Amazon. I wished I read these reviews before I conducted any business with Amazon. I am closing my account. They lost me as a consumer. Tomorrow I will contact credit card, bank and arbitration.

Ordered 2 new books May 1, tracked using Amazon. Supplied USPS tracking number which always said, "NOT RECEIVED BY USPS." Waited until May 10 and then Amazon web site advised "Either give it more time OR other options." BUT THE WEBSITE PROVIDED NO OTHER OPTIONS. Contacted at 888-280-4331 and got Kelley in Philippines who said I would need to go online and re-order! DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG or is this Amazon's MISTAKE? I had already wasted enough time going online on three occasions to track, Kelley wasted more of my time by asking for the name of books even though she had my only recent order on screen in front of her. She finally entered re-order herself.
The most likely cause for this AMAZON display of their attitude is that Amazon is never the cause of a problem and that it's up to the customer to invest much time to seek a remedy when it is Amazon's fault in the first place: Apparently one of the two books was not in Amazon's stock and Amazon sat on the order awaiting the 2nd book BUT it was Amazon that initiated the USPS tracking number and thereby let the customer waste time trying to track an order that never left the Amazon site! VERY POOR CORPORATE POLICY AND PROCEDURE! Mislead the customer and make the customer waste time because of Amazon's poor policy. WOW!

I was a loyal customer of Amazon for many years. On my last order I was very disappointed in both the product I received and in Amazon's response, so disappointed that that order was my last. I received the order a week late, was very unhappy with the product but after reading Amazon's "easy return" instructions on the packing slip, felt like my dissatisfaction would be short lived because this, after all, was AMAZON. I followed the directions on the packing slip and called Amazon. Because of a "high volume of callers" I chose to get a return call in 5 minutes. I received the call but it was a recording informing me of the "high call volume" and it basically hung up on me. I checked my email and coincidentally found an invitation from Amazon to review my order so I decided to write a review.
Here's what happened next: "... were minuscule BUT the packing slip clearly stated how easy returns were so I felt better. The product was a week late and the bottles were minuscule BUT the packing slip clearly stated how easy returns were so I felt better. Until I followed the directions on the packing slip and immediately received a message stating the item was not eligible for returns. Then I followed the directions to contact Amazon but was disconnected because they were having higher than normal call volume. VERY DISAPPOINTED. It'll be a long time before I order anything on Amazon and NEVER AGAIN from this seller. Who has time for this bull???"

I ordered a product directly from Amazon (sold by Amazon). A few days later the price dropped by $20 prior to me receiving it yet. I asked if they could honor that new price and they advised, "With the exception of TVs, we don't offer post-purchase adjustments." They continued, "I realize this is frustrating; however we aren't able to offer any additional insight or action on this matter and any further inquiries regarding this issue won't receive a response. We appreciate your understanding."
This response was due to the fact that I had requested my inquiry be escalated. They suggested that I could pay shipping to return the product once it arrived, then re-order at the lower price. This would of course cost me to ship back and probably cost them to ship the same product once again, since it comes with "free shipping". This policy makes no sense especially when the customer hasn't even yet received the product. Amazon's customer service response and general policy is not at all customer-oriented.

Long 12 year Amazon.com customer. Prime, etc. Thousands spent yearly. Last month, I noticed a credit card charge for $8.99 for stars. Fraud? Cancelled my primary credit card immediately. Major inconvenience. Took a week for a new one to arrive. CC company removed the charge. I also called Amazon. Turns out you can easily accidentally sign up for a digital subscription. I put on 2 step authentication, which is a big inconvenience. A few days later, I received an email I had signed up for HBO through Amazon. Called again. Two step authentication is not enough to stop digital ordering. Had to go to my Fire TV, and go through a crazy process of locking out ordering. I also deleted all my CC from Amazon.
Apparently, just clicking a movie summary to see if you are interested, triggers the subscription. Free prime movies are so commingled with rental movies, it's flat out deceptiveness. 3 months ago, I tried to become a seller on Amazon. However I should have had a credit card, which was not clear in the terms and conditions. So I used my debit. So after I finalized my registration I got an error that I need to change my debit card to credit card. Since I couldn't I wanted to cancel the process but before everything I instantly was charged with 39.99 USD. Since then I contacted Amazon more than 2 dozen times by phone, every time they keep me on the phone to explain everything all over again, and then each agent gives me different explanations. Although they provided a case ID, it seems that there is no updates written on their side on the case so the agent knows what is the case about.
Since I didn't have a credit card the only way for them to make a refund was to terminate the account from their side. So now I can't do anything with that account but the emails I get constantly ask me to provide info through my account, which I don't have the access to!!! E-mails are auto-generated with no possibility to reply back. Even when I asked for an email to contact an actual person after 3 weeks. When I finally got a reply it seemed auto-generated again. Till this day no money is refunded and it seems too much headache for nothing. Never going to try working with them and buy from Amazon again. I ordered some items from Amazon that were supposed to be delivered on Saturday. The delivery never arrived. Then they said they attempted to deliver it the next day (Sunday) but sent me a notification that my "mailbox was full". The delivery was paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper and was never going to be placed in my mailbox so I don't know why they would say my mailbox was full. I called Amazon and they said they would have it sent out for delivery the next day (Monday). I requested it to be delivered to my door.
It arrived on Monday... But was left downstairs at the apartment complex office. Boxes are usually delivered to my door but every once in a while they don't make it upstairs... And it's always Amazon. I live in an apartment complex and things are hard to drag upstairs for me so I order from Amazon and pay for shipping (and a Prime account) so I don't have to drag large stuff upstairs. Today I had another delivery and went downstairs to get it (this one was small and not a big deal) and I saw about 12 Amazon boxes just left in the mail room. The girls from the main office at my apartment said Amazon will leave stuff in there because sometimes it's not worth the fight to tell them to take it all up to the customers' doors. Not acceptable. If possible, I would give Amazon, 0 stars. I ordered 3 red women's skirts from Amazon, all of which are too small. There was no packing receipt included with information on how to return or exchange the items-no paperwork for my order. I called Amazon customer service and provided the woman with my name, address (billing and shipping), my phone number, credit card information, expiration date & security code, as well as the UPS tracking number on the package. All of this wasn't enough. My current email address did not match whatever email they had attached to my name. I gave them my two current emails but neither one matched. I explained that it must be an old email that I no longer use and I don't recall what that is. I also explained that I didn't even log into an account when I placed the order and I didn't print out the order information (which I should have) when I placed the order. Not acceptable.
So, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was extremely rude and also refused to help me return my items unless I could guess what email address they had attached to my name. I could not. Amazon was able to locate my order based on the UPS tracking number on the package that I was holding in my hand and my credit card information but because I couldn't "guess the right email", they would not allow me to return my items. I think this is one of THE most unfair business practices in existence. If I'm holding the package in my hand with the items I ordered and providing all of my credit card information, how does an old email that I never even signed in with prevent me from returning my items? I feel as if Amazon treated me like a criminal. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

In March 2017 I ordered 2 Honda EU2000i generators from Amazon. Their website pushes you to join Amazon Prime, which I did, and to get you to purchase and use an "Amazon" credit card, they frequently offer no interest promotional periods. I accepted their "Amazon Card", which turned out to be a Chase Visa, a couple of years ago but have rarely used it since the interest rate is 19.9%. However, since they said I would get 12 months no interest if I charged it on my "Amazon Card" I decided to do so. When the statement arrived, there was no mention of the grace period for interest. I emailed Chase and received an email response telling me the no interest promotional rate was handled by Synchrony. This made no sense because it was a Chase card, but I called them just the same. I got the response I expected, they had no idea why Chase would refer me to them since I did not have their card.
I then called Chase and they were confused, they do not offer a no interest period for Amazon.com purchases. They told me to call Amazon's customer service, which I did. As soon as I explained the situation, the person on the other end seemed confused and his responses made no sense. I requested to speak with someone else and he said he was transferring me to the US customer service department. A lady answered and I went through the explanation again. At this point, she tried to transfer me to Chase! I explained I had just gotten off the phone with them and they referred me to Amazon. She put me on hold at that point.
About 15 minutes later she finally returned. She told me their marketing and promotions department does not have a customer contact phone number. She was filling out a form to advise them on the situation and they would contact me within 1 business day. She read the information she was submitting, and she had it wrong. She finally got, more or less, the information correct and we ended the call.
This morning I received an email from Amazon customer service requesting the promotional claim code for the product I was purchasing. There was never a promo code, it was a message about a no interest period if I used the card. I replied to the email explaining this, yet again. They responded telling me "Since the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card is issued by Chase Card Services, their Customer Service department is in the best position to help you." Again, this isn't a problem with the card, it's the Amazon website that made the offer. So, beware dealing with them on things such as this. No one that I have communicated this to has even made 1/2 an effort to understand what bothers me about this. As of today, I am canceling my Prime account, I will pay the Chase card in full, and I will close that account as well.

This item is listed as "in stock." Customer Service cannot provide a reason why the item hasn't shipped, they cannot provide a possible shipping date, and because the item is preparing to ship, they cannot cancel the order as requested. I have cancelled my Prime Membership auto-renew and will not renew it when it expires in July 2017. I will not purchase from Amazon in the future. Absolutely no customer service at Amazon. On 4/22/17, I placed an order for 2 Otterboxes sold by "Amazon LLC", both listed as "In Stock" and came with free shipping. Today is 4/27 and neither item have been shipped! Called Amazon and was basically told that because I was too cheap to pay for upgraded shipping, that they ship the "free shipping" items last. Well... thank you very much! Something has changed... and not for the good. This will be my last order through Amazon.

Finally the account was back up and running for not even a week when they emailed me telling me I hadn't returned an item from 5 months ago and recharged me for that item even though I have tracking and a return receipt for the item! Well yesterday I went ahead and decided to get Prime with Amazon then I went online and decided to order something. I need it desperately not realizing the Prime videos have nothing to do with the membership because at that time I seen that was a shipping fee so I proceeded to call this morning. I was talking to a lovely young lady. She indicated to me the video that I ordered through Prime has nothing to do with the membership. The video is $10.07 a month that is if you paid monthly which comes out to $120.84, $21.84 more. They want you to pay the $99 upfront for a year if you choose the monthly then they charge you the extra money. Personally I think that's stupid. They don't want you to have control of your money. If you are out they still charge you for the month and if you are to opt and paid $99 they'll reimburse you whatever money the month you opt of videos within the cycle.
Okay then I called and said Prime Membership. She said $13 a month which is $156 free shipping and videos. Free shipping, I'm paying $56 towards half of my shipping. I guess that's okay if you want to waste your money and it to use Amazon constantly. Their prices are outrageous. I compare them so what are they really giving you? Not much of anything. As a matter of fact the polls have indicated that they're losing business. I wonder why they do not did anyone deals and anything. Don't try to return some it takes forever because he's outside selling people who join them will give you a hard time.
I waited weeks for the money to return back in my account and then they try to bargain with you, "Won't be able to apply it to your next purchase." Why the hell would I do that now. I'm wasted more money. I may not purchase anything for 6 months. They need to straighten out that mess. Cause they going to have a lot of people moving out on them as far as buying anything or joining Prime video or Prime Membership.

I am a long time Amazon Prime member. I agree with others who have posted here that the service has deteriorated over the past 1-2 years. I would consider myself a "heavy buyer". As of late, I almost never get an order within the 2 day period they advertise. Orders routinely arrive 4-7 days after completion of the on-line transaction. Many other sites now include 2 day shipping and prices are often less than Amazon. Regrettably, I will be canceling my membership. What was once a great membership is no longer worth the $99 annual fee.
Did I mention I posted a critical review of their shipping service on Amazon and it was removed? That's censorship. Yes, a Prime membership does offer other services; video streaming, Kindle book borrowing, prime music, etc., but they are not of interest to me. We have Netflix and Spotify and other services which cover those services must less expensively. I have children who routinely need items FAST (outgrew soccer cleats, last minute play costume items, birthday presents for friends). If they can't meet the need for speed, I'm out!

They told me it was guaranteed from their policy that I wouldn't have to pay. They still sent item. I contacted them again to pick up and they told me I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. Not only was I charged for item, I was also not reimbursed for item in full (they made me pay for shipping even though multiple reps told me I wouldn't have to). Contacted them every week for several weeks and was told I would be credited for the $110.00 in shipping. They didn't credit me. I recently received a format letter from Amazon that I had abused a customer on a discussion board. I contacted the customer service department to make sure that they had the right person. Many people on their board post their comments under "Amazon Customer." None of my posts were deleted, and more than one person posted a comment. One customer, however, made eight comments about my review of a novel. All of his/her comments kept saying the same thing. This book is plagiarized and that no one should read it. The book, To the Sky Kingdom, in its original format was written in Chinese; I would not know whether it was plagiarized or not because I do not read Chinese.
Amazon asked for customer feedback as to how they handled the situation, and I gave them a negative rating along with an explanation as to why I gave them that rating. Since then, I have received three letters from Amazon's Customer Service department telling me that my post(s) is "spiteful." Again, none of the posts that I wrote about the novel has been deleted by Amazon.
I finally sent them a copy of the entire transcript and explained to them that more than one person posted a comment, and I told them which two comments I made. They have refused to acknowledge that they mishandled the situation. A simple "we made a mistake" would have sufficed. I think that their conduct is reprehensible. Customers like me keep their employees working and their investors happy with big dividends. I cannot recommend this company to anyone, and I do not intend to do business with them again.

When you push the return button screen, it will take you to the page that says return which is auto selected by the computer and underneath that there are two options given where to refund your money. The first one is already auto selected by the system with fade orange color that is called Amazon Gift. If you do not notice that, your refund will go the Amazon Gift. Thus, unless you buy an another item, there is no way to get your money back since they are going to blame you that you made the selection and they can't do anything about that.
I have been a prime member of Amazon for years now and buying many things on Amazon. Mostly do not return. However, I had to return several items at this time. I was not careful enough to see that choice made for me by Amazon already before I click return button. Now I can't get my money back unless I buy items on Amazon. Amazon used to be a great company. Sometimes you would get your order within two days, free shipping. Apparently they realized that nobody would pay for their "two day shipping program" if they continued to provide excellent shipping service. So if you pick "free shipping" then check your order everyday and it will say "preparing order." Now that preparation takes a full seven days. Once it is shipped regular, it usually takes anywhere from 2-5 days to get to you. I have gotten some things a full two weeks after paying for the order. So Amazon has lost a lot of my business to Wal-Mart (free 2 day shipping), and any other online sellers that seem reputable. You order something from a random seller, and they put it out for shipping ASAP, so you do not have to wait one week as an Amazon Penalty for not buying into their shipping club.

The tracking number on the first order showed that the package label was printed, including the package weight, but for some reason, the package never reached UPS. I requested a replacement package as soon as their website would allow. Now they claim the moving boxes were not in stock, and that the manufacturer didn't provide any details on when or if they'll be back in stock. It makes ZERO sense that my second order, placed a few days later, WAS in stock, but my first order supposedly was NOT. The package HAD to exist at some point, because they printed a shipping label for it, including the package weight, which they would not have known if the package didn't exist.
They gave me the choice of waiting an indefinite amount of time to see IF the boxes came back into stock or a refund. I got a REALLY good deal on these boxes, which I need quickly, as I will be moving soon. Obviously, I need the boxes more than I need the refund, but apparently Amazon couldn't make the great effort of picking up the phone and calling the manufacturer so they could give me an approximate delivery time. A week? A month? Six months? Who knows? They refused to answer my very simple question and stopped communicating with me completely, leaving me no feasible choice but to file for a refund. I hope the refund arrives without further issues.
I will not be renewing my Prime membership when it expires, nor will I order from them again in the future. I am disabled, without transportation, and cannot go scrounging around for used boxes. Yes, other companies sell boxes, but their price is double or triple the price of the boxes I tried to buy off Amazon. As you can imagine, this has left me in a terrible bind. The Amazon Warehouse sent me a used version of a camera lens which was described as "Like New" but what I received was a lens someone cross threaded a filter on and then tried to sell to someone else and it obviously was not inspected by Amazon before it was shipped. One would think it would be safer to order a used item fulfilled by the Amazon warehouse, but that is obviously a false assumption. Once I realized what had happened, I figured no worries because Amazon has an excellent return policy. Well after Amazon has received the item and has had it for 4 days, I was just informed the refund could take 2 weeks by customer service despite their written 7 day policy on the Amazon Website.
The whole conversation I just had over chat support with their entry level support representative and "support leader" once it was escalated was deplorable. Any brick and mortar store would be facing lawsuits if they treated their customers like this. Pictures of the item taken fresh out of the shipping package is below. The next afternoon on March 30th I received an order cancellation. The cancel reason? Technical problem, the email said. So on March 30th I ordered the machine a second time from seller "WI_RN_Student." The next morning on March 31st I received an email confirming that the sewing had indeed been shipped out to me. A few days later on April 4, 2017 I received an email from Amazon stating that I was being refunded for the machine. The reason for the refund? Account adjustment, the email said.
By this time my frustration was growing so I contacted an Amazon representative to speak with via a chat session. I spoke with Tushar who recommended that I order again from a different vendor and he would expedite the shipping for me. So on April 4th I ordered the machine for the third time from seller "Christina3373." This time Amazon was offering me an additional warranty for the sewing machine. The price was good so I accepted it. Two hours later I received an email that my order for the sewing machine was cancelled. Reason for cancellation? Technical problem, the email said. However, the warranty for the product that I could not get was shipped out to me!
I was beginning to get very angry at this point because something did not seem right about all of this. I again contacted an Amazon representative via a chat session to complain. This time I spoke with Shweta. This person assured me that I would receive the sewing machine this time and to please re-order. So I ordered a fourth time from seller "My3Kids." Shweta said that she contacted this seller and that they indeed had some sewing machines available to send one to me! Two days later I received an email saying that the order had been cancelled. Reason for cancellation? Technical problem.
I sent messages to a couple or so of these sellers too, and not even one of them ever responded to my messages. Either these vendors do not actually have the product to sell, or they have them but decided they did not want to sell them for the low prices they posted. All of these machines were advertised as NEW CONDITION, not used and not refurbished! Either way appears to be fraudulent to me.

I ordered and received 12 cans of Cento Tomatoes. 11 of them were dented at either the top or bottom seam or both. USDA website says safety of food inside such cans has been compromised and should not be consumed. They were double boxed. Outer box was flawless, inner box showed signs of wear and tear, but no sign that could explain how the cans got dented. My first attempted review was 1-star because almost all cans were dented. Amazon rejected it but said to try again after reading their guidelines. So I read and could not find anything which said one could not comment on product defects, but altered my second attempt by giving the product 2-stars (It was more important to me to let fellow Amazon shoppers know the cans were seriously dented than to quibble over "stars".) It too was rejected. They said I had reviewed the seller, not the product, Reviews of the seller are to be posted in a different spot and they gave me the URL.
Despite the fact the seller could never have known of the problem without opening the factory sealed box, I looked at the URL. It would not allow me to post feedback of this particular seller, presumably because the seller was Amazon itself. No problem, I would never expect a seller to open a factory sealed box. This one happened to be glued together at the flaps, no less. I would be alarmed if I received such a box with the glued flaps not intact. So I opened a chat window. The person at the other end said the matter would be directed to "Communities". Communities wrote me that my review was about the seller, sticking with the original boilerplate.
Basically I really like Amazon. But as the old proverb goes: "When you see one termite you can be sure there a plenty more where it came from." In any case, this is one case in which they absolutely stonewalled it with an objection that simply does not make sense. The product, not the seller, was defective. They did not want that comment to see the light of day. Shame on them. But understand my 1-star is about the way they are manipulating "feedback", not the company as a whole. It is a good company, assuming practices such as this do not become overwhelming.

(I would have liked a confirmation of cancellation instead!) - I buy books online, first time ever, I've been charged $40 for post/hand charges! for overseas, for a small book. It is 2017 not 1720, an electronic age, Zoverstocks obviously, do not reply to cancellations, HOWEVER they DO send you an email, for telling you the used book is shipped - when they totally ignore your email for cancellation (remember, order was cancelled, within the hour, after ordering the book, which is acceptable).
So, how can they not keep up to date and reply within a normal reasonable time to a cancellation, BUT, can reply to you and tell you the product is shipped? Is this illegal? I mean, to take money out of your account, when they have been emailed an hour of purchase, that the product is cancelled? And send you an email 12 hrs later saying the book is shipped to you. The used book, was noted as 'processing' when I cancelled the order. I have copy of email Amazon sent to Zoverstocks for cancelling and that is timed within an hour of my purchasing. Amazon should be accountable for letting Zoverstocks on their site, to sell books to people, with getting back to people 'within a few days', is an extremely bad policy. I can only assume that Amazon agrees with this 'will reply in a couple of days time', satisfactory. Also, it took 40 mins on phone to get Amazon to send to me the email they sent Zoverstocks of cancelling my order.
Glad I pursued all this, as have proof, twice, of cancelling the book, did it also, online. Cancelling within an hour is acceptable, but Zoverstocks ignore that, and just go a head 12 hrs later and send you an email saying the used book is shipped. I encourage people to take their money elsewhere if possible, as these two Companies have lost the customer service you get from other online sellers. Come on... It's an electronic age, 'reply in a couple of days', is totally a shame in my personal opinion. They get your money! And you are left with a big problem... I will never buy again from these two Companies. Zoverstocks priorities are wrong, email first confirmation of cancellation, not email product is shipped after 12 hrs of cancellation. It's a sham? There are heaps plenty out there now, that give you better service. I encourage you, to give your money to sellers who appreciate and practice good customer service.
You may not have had a problem with these two sellers, but, this is what happens, if you do, check it out, Zoverstocks do NOT refund - is this against the law? To take money out of an account, when the order was cancelled an hour after ordering? There has to be some legal standing here, somewhere, for the customer? I have proof that an email Amazon sent Zoverstocks, a copy, that Amazon sent to me, showing the time, and also have proof of cancelling on my account within the hour. Anyone know a place to take action? To retrieve my money, taken out of my account, when order was cancelled, and they were NOT given permission for the sale?
Surely sellers are accountable for not cancelling orders, and yet manage to email buyers having shipped a product that is already cancelled... Hope someone can help with email address to get my money back besides these two companies online, as they have not handled this well and do not have my best interests at heart... I have lost all confidence in them totally. Much appreciated, thanks... from Avid Reader.

He asked to collect the protect from 5 km distance; I informed the same to Amazon multi-time, I got auto-acknowledgement each time; if I called; they are reading the same script. Now it's more than 10 days showing "Out for delivery". Note: one mail from Amazon says, "Amazon.com" is international, it won't cover India's (in) issue. After the CSR greeted me and asked for my name, I provided my female name and the CSR continued calling me SIR!!! I corrected that CSR and explained that I am not a SIR but Mam and he continued to apologize calling me SIR. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he placed me on hold and picked up about 2 minutes later pretending to be a supervisor. I then asked to escalate this call to a manager. He again placed me on hold for about 2 minutes and answered pretending to be a manager. I know it was the same CSR because he had the same issue with his voice sounding far away.
This is the worst customer service I've ever received. "AMAZON NEEDS TO STOP OUTSOURCING." Hire someone who knows the difference between a woman's name and a man's name and at least speaks and very well understands the English language. I was so upset that the CSR refused to provide me a contact number or email to complain to the Corporate office regarding the situation that I am still considering closing my account. I like using aliexpress.com as an alternative to better prices.

I thought Amazon was a good place to shop, but after my experience dealing with them, I would not recommend anyone purchasing from them.

After years of disappointment lately with Amazon, they've managed to keep their record intact yet again. I just bought a solar panel, paid the extra $16.99 to receive it the next day. I track everything down to my keystrokes when I correspond with them anymore. 5 days later it may get here... but the refund for the shipping isn't posted and doesn't show pending. The refund for the "lost" product they indicated would happen hasn't posted and isn't pending either. This has happened 18 times now in 11 mos. with orders shipping by UPS who never makes consumer deliveries before 630 pm and doesn't deliver on weekends. Hey, that's who gives Amazon the best deal obviously. This has happened 2 times with USPS products, and once with FedEx. I've spent just over $27K with them in that time frame as I'm a business out of my home address. I've spent $71k in the last 20 months and well over 100K total with Amazon.
There are LOTS of opportunities to have things go wrong just based on sheer number of orders... and they have. But, when I get guaranteed dates I hold them to that. They now hear from me within minutes and guess what? It MAKES NO DIFFERENCE! They have now broken through a 10% failure to perform as promised with my orders alone. They promise "next day" and ship UPS? They pulled their corporate phone #s. They offer $5 credits or an extra month of Prime? If they did what they said they'd do, hold their delivery agents accountable and take care of problems courageously they wouldn't be getting dogged like this. But... who else has DRONES?! Seriously. If we let them hide it's our own fault.
I stumbled across Wikibuy without trying. It takes longer but it gets here when I'm told it will, usually much sooner. It compares directly to Amazon Prime, including tax and finds the lowest price. I've only ordered directly from them once, but several times through eBay and now DOZENS of orders from Jet.com. It doesn't matter who the carrier is, it's always on time or early, delivered during daylight hours and even on weekends. They don't have everything Amazon does, so Amazon will still get a trickle of my business, BUT THAT'S ALL... I'VE HAD IT! When 2 of the last 3 orders I've placed don't show up they've got problems even I can't fix! And I managed to for years with the largest Home Improvement company around. It was part of my job as manager until I retired on disability.

Amazon has went the way of Walmart for Customer service the quality has went down. Calling Amazon is more annoying than wasting money on a product that reviews Amazon has carefully screened to make you want to purchase it. The reviews are misleading and paid a Rosy picture of what Amazon wants you to believe. I have found little to no Customer service in the last few years and the company has no desire to improve the image. The brace arrived today and I found that it runs small, so I called the customer service # on the packing slip and guess what? Amazon charged me $25 MORE than the brace company charges.
When I asked about that, the company said I had to contact Amazon and ask them and also to return the brace. So, directly from the company (not Amazon) I ordered the next larger size, paid them and now I wait for Amazon to get back to me about a RMA label AND my MONEY BACK. However, I now wonder if they'll return ALL my money and then charge me for postage to return the item. There's no way to reach them other than via email. Very unsatisfying way to do business... I called Amazon regarding this purchase (of an Acer laptop - listed as NEW by seller Silicon Depot) due to the fact I was given a broken product. The issue was a hard drive failure that slowly manifested over time. After about 4-5 months, the laptop was unusable. Typically the seller offers the warranty after 30 days, and on electronics like laptops it is almost always one year. I contacted the laptop manufacturer (ACER) and was told one year warranty. The manufacturer has online warranty claim on their website via serial number. I used the serial number of my supposedly new device, and the MANUFACTURER listed the warrant as expired as of 2013.
The seller, Silicon Depot, had already registered the warranty under their name (or their customer's). That means the laptop WAS NOT new, but was used either by the company Silicon Depot, or it was a return which they repackaged as new. This is FRAUD from the seller which was facilitated through the Amazon store. I tried contact the seller, Silicon Depot, but they do not have a website listed on Amazon. I tried Google to find them, and I can find no contact information, website, email address, or website registration records for a company with this name. They are a ghost. I believe, based upon my experience, that this company is defrauding the public and hiding behind Amazon storefront to facilitate their fraud. I cannot believe Amazon does not qualify their vendors better than this upon accepting them into their program.
I called Amazon and explained the situation. I was PROMISED a full and complete refund with no restocking fee and NO SHIPPING CHARGES. I was lied to by the Amazon representative as my refund was not for the full amount, but in fact Amazon had deducted both a shipping charge and restocking/late return fee. I am appalled that Amazon representative lied to me and further that they allow fraudsters to sell on their store without offering any support for Amazon account holders. Instead of fighting Amazon for an additional $80+ dollars, I simply just cancelled my Prime Membership. Further, because Amazon straight out lied to me, I will be writing a full review and putting it on every online review site I can find.
I simply cannot stand liars, including big corporations who employ them and hide behind return policies that benefit scamster sellers and screw their customers by giving them no recourse on issues. Forget Amazon. I will shop locally and give my local vendors the benefit of my money, even if it costs more. I cannot fund a company with highly suspect ethics that employs liars and further hides unscrupulous sellers.

I contacted with customer service representative after 15 days. He was very rude, and not helpful. After one month passed I contacted again. She was kind and told me they will send with priority shipping with no charge as excuses which was ok.
A couple days later I noticed that price was increased, shipping was the same but custom charges increased. Our government did not increased custom charges so someone on Amazon changed it to charge priority shipping so I contacted another customer service representative. He claimed state charges. This I told him, "it is turkish custom not the state" and they charge 18-20 percent however Amazon changed this 15 dollars to 21 dollars without notification.
I told the customer service to contact related department to complain. He told me no such department and close the chat by himself which was very rude action for Amazon too. Orders late, customer service was mostly poor so if somebody read this such as Amazon central department managers or who has authority about it, let me tell you something I bought many items and shopped years I have never seen such thing. Abandon hope if you value free speech entering questions or reviews on Amazon's products, particularly if they reflect badly on their paid suppliers in terms of pricing or delivery. Off limits are any shortcomings you would care to report about a supplier's poor delivery. I attempted to report false advertising when the ad boasted immediate 3-4 day delivery and then unilaterally changed the terms and the product was ultimately received more than a month later. (If you note the product's origin is China, take delivery promises with a grain of salt.)
Also forbidden is an attempt to advise other buyers of a supplier's price increase. A bug screen purchased for $19.99 was suddenly available at the staggering price increase of $25.99. Under questions, I asked what the justification was for such a substantial price increase. The supplier responded that his $19.99 price was available merely by scrolling down under "other sources". This proved false. Such remarks and questions will be unceremoniously removed by Amazon and you will receive an email advising of their action on the grounds that your contribution failed to meet their "guidelines". Delivery problems must be reported separately among the maze of Amazon product reports. And comments regarding suppliers' pricing or comparable cheaper availability is also apparently forbidden or at the very least discouraged.
At least the freedom remains to review honestly and in detail regarding a product's performance or lack thereof, problems assembling, operating and effectiveness are still permitted and can be excoriating in nature. Fake reviews still are prevalent, it seems (although disclosure is often encountered that a consumer received the product free or at discount in exchange for a review), so you wonder whom exactly to trust. Amazon can be extremely disloyal to the consumer in a number of respects.

And now, even worse than that, is the push to be a "pantry" member in order to get the fake low price they showed on the first page; and now, the worst insult to injury is an utter inability to cancel my account, almost an hour of jumping through hoops to finally, FINALLY get the magical email with the link that's SUPPOSED to let you cancel -- and now I read here on this site that they just don't cancel anyway. I subscribe to Prime mostly for the free quick shipping and easy returns if needed. If I could just go to a store and buy what I want all the time I would, but the internet has stopped that. Sometimes it's the only place to find things. So I ordered an in-sink soap dispenser from Amazon Prime with the seller being KES. It ended up not working in the sink I needed it for. I ordered it 4 days ago -- it arrived 2! I went into my Prime account to get a return authorization. It states that the window to return this has closed -- as of April 7, 2017!
Uh, excuse me -- my calendar, computer and phone all say it is March 10, 2017. Since I'd ordered a prior one for another sink -- which I am keeping, I looked back in the order to see if they'd somehow mixed them up. That one also shows a 30 day return policy -- which would be March 25, 2017 -- and then says the window to return it has closed also.
Again -- it is March 10! If Amazon can't honor their return policy -- especially for Prime members, why are we paying $100 a year? They never have movies we like that we don't have to pay extra to stream. The only advantage to order from Amazon at all, and especially to pay for Prime is the shipping and return program. Clicking on "Shopping" in Google frequently brings up better bargains -- good competitors to Amazon emerge. Amazon once stayed away from charging state sales taxes, but now embraces them voluntarily and enthusiastically because of its overt liberal political stance -- and the chance to charge vendors for its required tax software. Additionally, Amazon has a record, documented in media in several countries, of not treating its employees well through overt supervision and inadequate pay -- which fuels Amazon's desire for more undocumented workers.

I am reading all of these reviews and keep wondering if these people actually shop at Amazon.com the U.S. division or one off an archipelago in a disputed zone or something. Amazon.com is truthfully, perhaps the best company on the planet, and I honestly thought on the dot com era, it wouldn't last. (I was wrong) These people understand what it is to truly be customer centric. I have bought at Wal-Mart (disgusting experience but often necessary. They have slow loading websites, draconian customer service and I'm pretty sure the cancellation department is run by 5 baboons and 1 monkey). I have bought from HHGregg (Possibly the best choice for those wishing to contemplate suicide would be to call the customer service department and sit back into infinity waiting for an actual human. They don't answer emails, cancel orders and not update. They are Wal-Mart on crack).
I choose Amazon.com because their site is easy to navigate, fast loading, plenty of variety even for items such as persian rugs, tapestries, marble busts and vintage books which are the norm for my unusual orders. And on the few occasions that I have had items to return or items which are received and are absolutely not what was advertised, Amazon.com customer service are always on top of the game. They offer full refunds (which aren't necessary). They comp and hold to account sellers who try to get cute or outright ignore you. They do what they say with no complaints, even when you reach the call centers in Indonesia. Doesn't matter, these people are the ethos of their company.
Every now and then one can have a bad experience, considering you're doing this from your home in your underwear at 3am, and not in the store browsing, it's to be expected. Wal-Mart would say sorry, it's out of our control and if you insist they may offer you 10% off. I've actually have canceled orders with them and reordered and received double shipments at double the cost. HHGregg never answer their phone or email so it's hard to guess what they would do. While Wal-Mart is run by primates, HHGregg is probably where God evaluates pond scum and other single cell microbial life. Not anyone with much intelligence or even semblance of pride in their job.
Balance increases: call up Synchrony Bank and follow the automated responses, then simply verify your I.D. and ask for the amount you need. And in less than 30 seconds you'll have an answer. For someone with a credit score between 629-700 they approve 3,000 dollars without batting an eyelash. Everyone has bad days, but come on now. This company is truly a God send for all us lazy people who don't want to get off the couch or waddle through a department store with people gawking at our cart! Their prices are very good, they price match, they offer rain checks, they run a 24 hour customer service with live chat, telephone operators and email support. God probably shops here.
And for the prime members, some experiences notwithstanding, when you go to check out don't rush through it. Be diligent, look at the shipping rates, double back if needed to make sure you're not accepting a prime trail membership or getting another shipping method other than what is advertised. Be diligent. That's my take on this company, my experiences and I've been shopping here for about 10 years.

In the history of customer service, this is the worst experience ever. Firstly, the call centers are located in different parts of the world, so you're not guaranteed of getting the same set of people you talked to (and of course different information). Secondly, it is just all round terrible experience. I have been a customer service rep myself, and I do understand how frustrating it can get, so I tend to be polite and not get reps tensed. But regardless of my best effort at being polite, I've had the call dropped on me twice within 30 minutes, I'm still on the phone right now waiting to talk to a supervisor which probably is not going to happen (a supervisor named Denis from the Philippines eventually came online and started saying hello, mute the call afterwards and dropped the call, I'm laughing really hard at this point because it's so ridiculous).
I am a prime member, ordered an item that was listed as prime with an expected 4-5 days delivery, an item needed urgently for school work. The item was never shipped after 3 days. I called and was assured it'll still process accordingly. Long story short, they move the expected delivery date another week, now it's been processing all day since yesterday. Amazon used to be okay, prime membership is definitely not worth it no more, and the customer service people needs to be properly trained especially the supervisors. I wish there was a way to give the idiots a negative rating. If anybody out there know what number to call to file a complaint about the 'amazing' Amazon service, share please. Thanks.

Really getting tired of sending out my items and having customers use my items then scam for the money back. Like the customer who kept the book for 3 1/2 weeks then sends me email saying I sent him wrong edition. Well he is shopping under wrong section for book he is looking for but if you tell him that he will leave negative feedback. Now he read the book and now wants his money back and as a seller I have to play along with his scam if I want to keep my account in good standing. I felt like asking him why it took him 3 1/2 weeks to figure out it was wrong book. However it wasn't wrong book. My ad clearly stated the edition of the book. He is just done reading it and wants his money back. I am not a library.

Amazon DID come to my rescue when I purchased a $700 camera. When it arrived it was not only used but 'international' meaning the video codec's could not be used on USA television sets. It was an Asian product meant for that area only. NOW I'm quite upset because every time I try to write a 'civil' review of the fake product I'm rebuffed. Amazon will not accept a negative review of the company or the product. I've got an RMA. I'm returning it. Who gets it next?

Was told by the rep he was going to talk to his superior and when he came back said there was nothing he could do. Then looked up my account and saw all the charges and said it was my fault for all three charges. But he would pass on the issue. I cancelled my service with them on the spot. NOT HAPPY. I will make a point of telling others about the poor support I have received from them.

Okay, I have to admit, Amazon has a superb selection of items. Their prices are not as competitive as they used to be or have to be because they've put much of the competition out of business. For that reason, I refuse to become a Prime member. Instead, like others, I buy from other companies when their prices are the same or less which happens frequently because EVERY other company ships faster when they offer free shipping. So, I order much more now from eBay, Home Depot, Walmart, and B&H Photo which provide much faster shipping. I'm convinced that Amazon just ignores orders from non-Prime members for at least a week before starting to fulfill them as a way to pressure you to join Prime. With me, it just aggravates the heck out of me and motivates me to buy from another company whenever possible.
Another problem with Amazon which has gotten much worse this past year is the selling of counterfeit products by third parties. I much prefer eBay's guarantees which is much faster at resolving this kind of issue. Finally, I have been talking about sales handled directly through Amazon. Sales through third parties are usually delivered much more quickly than free Amazon shipped items.

Amazon has outsourced most all of their customer support jobs to India, Philippines and so on that are absolutely a complete joke! I have received a bad review based on complete LIES, which were corroborated by messages left on Amazon's board. This particular buyer purchased an item. Within 12 hours from the purchase, and AFTER the item was just shipped, he filed a return request based on the fact that the item was defective, despite the fact that the item was still in transit to him. An utterly, bold faced lie!
I did explain to that particular buyer, that it is NOT POSSIBLE to claim a "Defective" item, if you do not have it in your possession! Well, as a result, the buyer, slammed me with a negative feedback, claiming that I am not being cooperative with his claim (even though, I did approve the return of the item, that was yet to arrive to him). I did contact the amazon feedback removal team, and presented the case in extreme detail, thinking that this is for sure a case of dismissal of such deceiving feedback! Well, to my dismay, the reply received from such "department" was beyond belief!!!
The message from amazon is HUMILIATING and HORRENDOUS vis-à-vis anything that has to do with decency, professionalism, and understanding of the request! Whoever replied to my request had absolutely no clue! He did "investigate" the case and reached the conclusion that the buyer has received a defective item... that is still in transit to the buyer!! How CAN IT BE?? Amazon should be ASHAMED of themselves by employing such individuals! SHAME ON AMAZON!!!

I'm a very frequent customer of Amazon and a Prime member but I do NOT stand by their 2 day prime delivery promise! Also, customer service is a non-existent department. When I tried contacting customer service about not receiving my Prime delivery products in 2 days, after 3 emails with 3 different representatives was sent the same teleprompted message on how they are sorry for inconvenience & sometimes problems happen in transaction but they don't explain problem or cause for delay. On top of that, when I replied back to their email to explain my situation and tried to get explanation, Amazon replied that it would no longer respond to my inquiries.
Now is that how a company that promises customer satisfaction supposed to treat long time loyal customers? If so, I could get better service at local discount store. Last but not least I was not even offered any type of compensation for my inconvenience or their mistakes. Any effort to try to improve my experience would have been appreciated. I see Amazon is another big company that could care less about a single paying customer when they make millions of dollars. In closing, DO NOT trust Amazon's policy, promise or practice.

Since I only purchase from Amazon 2 or maybe 3 times a year, I opted not to pay the $120 (with tax) prime fee this year. Needless to say, Amazon made sure I suffered for that. Placed my order for a set of 6 furnace filters almost 6 days ago and still has not shipped. States "shipping today" for past 2 days. Today, I tried to cancel my order and received an email that it was too late to cancel. Still sitting there and has not shipped. This will be my last effort with Amazon. Seems they are going the way of the other "big time" retail outlets and ignoring their customers UNLESS they pay (Prime fee) to buy their products.
So sorry to hear this, Amazon used to be the best but I can no long say that. Seems when a customer has a complaint, they offer an extra month of Prime as consolation. Does no good for me, I want my item which I bought and paid for. I started buying from Walmart.com and they are kicking Amazon with great prices and exceptional delivery dates or even come in and pick up at local store. Amazon allows buyers to get their item FREE from the sellers simply by filing an A-Z Claim. The seller has NO actual recourse; although Amazon will mislead the seller to believe they do. Amazon Customer Service will even tell and assist buyers on how to get their item for FREE, at the seller's expense. So buyers on Amazon are told that if they lie, they can get the item for free, no questions asked. All the buyer has to do is file an A-Z claim and state 'Not as Described'. No proof, evidence, or explanation is required. Nothing else need be done, and the buyer is sent a full refund and is told they can keep the item. The seller is told their money is debited from their account. A-Z Claim dept will not explain or assist the seller in any way, they just shut them out.

After waiting almost a month they cancelled my order because the saw wasn't available. I waited until the date they said it would be available and ordered it again. They swiftly cancelled my order again. Now this is even though their website said it was in stock. After this they took it off their site. Today, Feb 22, 2017 I was on the Amazon site and they had two of the same saws for sale that were used. So I ordered one. Again a third party seller.
A few hours later the seller cancelled my order due to "a technical problem". I called Amazon customer service and they did some research and I was told that the seller changed the price from $500 to $900. I don't understand how they can change the price after I already ordered it. They said they would look into the matter but gave me no assurance that anything will be done. Amazon is great for returns but so are others. Instead of reordering and waiting another 10 days, I ordered from Walmart. Same price. It took 2 days to get to my door.
My review to Amazon related my story. Do you think they allowed that kind of review?? No way. They totally edited my review. That is not the review I submitted!! Making it a false/incomplete review. Instead of making the authorized debits for the two items minus the available gift card balance, they debited my account 4 different times for 4 different amounts each between $1,000-$1,600.00.
They refused to allow me to provide proof of the charges and kept saying that they didn't debit my card but these additional purchases caused my initial purchases to be declined because my bank flagged them as a potentially fraudulent transaction and denied them. In the middle of a large urban apartment complex. Oh, and I was home and the driver noted that my package was handed "directly to a resident". That bush does not constitute a resident!
The first person I spoke to didn't even register that this is a problem. He was the reason I learned that my package was outside under a bush. The second person I spoke to didn't know how to handle the situation. The third person I spoke to, someone in logistics, was helpful but, again, didn't seem to recognize that leaving a package like this - with no notice to the customer - was not only unacceptable, but just bad business. I should note that my specific building has people home all day AND has a complex office where every other shipping company delivers the packages.

Well, Amazon use to be a good customer service company but I've noticed a lack of it this past year. January 2017 showed improvement, but it must have been a fluke because once again I find myself very dissatisfied. I have several items on automatic reorder as they are a good price and subscriptions give an extra percentage off. Amazon always emails you before they place the order for you to look it over and confirm. I did this February before my order was placed, checking the prices, holding off on some items that had gone up, switching other items for ones that are a better price. I buy a lot of dog treats and so I got for ones that are a couple dollars.
Satisfied with my February order, I let Amazon place my modified subscription but took a screenshot as I've lately been feeling I was paying more for things than I originally assumed I agreed to. Sure enough, when Amazon charged my subscription order I noticed the prices were not the ones listed when I checked what Amazon was going to charge me. A few pennies here and there is something I could just accept, but one specific item was almost double the price! I contacted Amazon right away, just an hour or two after being told they charged me.
Customer service says it's against their policy to honor price changes. I explained it wasn't a price change, it was Amazon not honoring the listed price I agreed to after confirming that months order. But "Too bad," they said. I tried twice through email but it went nowhere. I tried again through the chat box, still no. I mean we're talking $3.75 on an order well over $100, but at this point I'm irritated over the principle of false advertisement essentially.
I know the prices change monthly, and I can accept that, but to not honor the price listed on the day I basically was told to confirm my order? I just don't get it... To me this is illegal. It's basically saying, "We'll charge you when we want, and if the price goes up between you agreeing to the purchase, too bad for you." So warning to those that like the subscription option, confirming your order doesn't confirm the price, and it can go near double, heck, I guess it can go as high as Amazon wants it to, and you're just SOL.

I sent another message to the seller requesting my mo eye back on 2/14 and 2/15 still no response.
I filed an A-Z claim with Amazon so finally I receive an email from the seller saying they researched and my package was shipped out??? They had just shipped it out on 2/16/17... I responded to them and they attempted to call me. I am an Amazon Prime member with an extensive order history with Amazon. This seller need to go. They can keep that shoe. I do not recommend patronizing this company and Amazon really. There is a reason we shop online because I hate going into stores but if you tell us a product will be delivered by a certain date that is exactly what we expect... But this were small amounts so I didn't really care to get the refund. But 2 weeks ago, I ordered a new laptop, it stopped working in a week so I had to send it back. Reason for review: I have grown suspicious of 5 star product reviews on Amazon recently. I'd like to apprise the public that Amazon reviews are no longer reliable as the consumer receives a discounted price for an "honest" review. Experience: I was a good customer of theirs up until I began reading numerous 5 star reviews on [what I thought to be] a mediocre product. It was then that I had realized that all of the reviews ended with, "I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review" which, didn't settle well with me. In any event, I appreciated the disclosure and I carried on knowing that I would have to be extra thorough and NOT solely rely on reviews.
I contacted a seller for an item a few weeks ago and I inquired about the discounted rate for an "honest" review. They were receptive and they gave me a few dollars discount on an item. I was thrilled! Then they informed me that Amazon no longer requires the disclosure regarding the items being received for a discounted price. I was aghast. I have not boycotted Amazon for this bold move [yet]. However, I am more leery, I will not be relying on their reviews, and I will be more thorough prior to purchasing anything from Amazon. Do NOT rely on their reviews as those consumers do get some type of "kickback" for writing them. Whether it's $5 or 50% off, THAT'S a kickback. I previewed their website, chose a product, checked out, opened a Prime account membership, they suggested opening a Chase Visa Amazon card for future purchases, which I did and was given immediate "approval" with a $4,000.00 purchasing limit. (I also have 6 Chase accounts) Thursday, Feb. 9th, received email verifying that my personal account was established, my product was scheduled with a confirmation #, and scheduled for a Saturday delivery, which I opted to pay extra for.
Saturday, I was there from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm thinking that my item was to arrive. My business meeting went on without my marketing tools as planned. Monday, I attempted to access my account and Amazon had blocked it and every time I attempted to reset a new password, it failed. Finally, I was able to locate their actual, manned customer service department and was given a song and dance and basically their personnel intentionally didn't give me any actual reasons, just said the merchandise was not shipped. That I knew.
Today, Monday, I received a confirmation that my new Chase Visa Amazon card was on its way! Only problem is they have charged me for the purchase in advance, and breached the sales agreement. I will try to make this short because I'm tired of revisiting this issue. Amazon's promise of two day shipping is a joke. The customer service is a bigger joke. What happened to the Amazon that I used to love and spend so much money at. God forbid you are sick and buy medicine or supplements for your illness. You will be promised two day shipping but good luck with that happening and if it comes on the second day it will real be almost 3 days (getting to you very late in the day). Their shipping (AMZL) just gave my package (medicine) to some random apt who eventually (after banging on doors, crying, and being sick circling the building in the winter) the neighbor admitted she saw my package but claims she put it on the maintenance guys steps. The maintenance guy says he never saw it. I don't believe her because if a package doesn't have your name an honest person would just contact the carrier.
Anyway, the driver never read my delivery instructions, then tried to say I added them after the package was delivered (I advise anyone to take a screenshot when they add instructions). She is apt 2, I'm 11 and I asked them to bring it to my apt or if the apt bldg door was locked (it locks automatically) to leave it in the mailbox. Well that never happened and decided to leave it at apt 2 (only God knows why). Spent 2 hours on the phone with Amazon and it was a Friday. The agent was nice (he was about the 4th person I had spoke to and the 1st intelligent person) however his options were unacceptable. He offered to expedite shipping and resend on next day shipping complimentary so it would get here on Saturday (it was a great option) until he plugged in the next day shipping and it said the package wouldn't arrive till Tuesday (it's now Friday). His efforts weren't helping the situation.
I'll skip a lot here because it was too much BS to go through everything and now the burden is on me to tell my story. I patiently waited all weekend getting much more sick. On late Monday night I noticed my package still showed as not shipped. I contacted the chat forum and she promised me it would arrive in Tuesday. I explained that I was confused as to how it would arrive when now it was already Tuesday (after midnight). We went back and forth cause she insisted it was Monday and the package would arrive tomorrow. I explained the package is shipping from the east coast (oil) and I'm on the east coast and it's already Tuesday here. Not to mention all of their customer reps seem to have hard to understand accents and talk like stupid robots saying sorry or sorry for the inconvenience. All they know is how to offer a stupid promotion on your account to order more Amazon products that you don't even want instead of refunding you.
I'd rather not have the problem to begin with then deal with promotions or store credit. It was one mistake after another. Anyway she said it would arrive on Tuesday so I went to sleep. Woke up on Tuesday and my account still said not shipped. It arrived on Wednesday and the worst part was is now UPS handed my package to my neighbor who was walking in the bldg. I was home. How does UPS not know that this neighbor was a thief or had good intentions. At least, this guy was honest and gave me my package, but what if history had repeated.
The promotion they give you is only able to be used for overpriced items that are sold and shipped by Amazon. What a way to keep your stocks up. I'm sure based on what they pay wholesale for these items that it cost them nothing to mess up our orders. Of course there is more to the story, but this new Amazon... sucks so bad. On Saturday, February 4, 2017 after having a terrible experience receiving a package I ordered from Amazon I called and cancelled my Amazon Prime membership. The person on the phone did not tell me which one of the credit/debit cards listed on my account would the money be refunded to. I came to find out today that it was supposedly refunded to my old Wells Fargo debit account. After calling Amazon customer service several times and Wells Fargo and getting nowhere I finally asked to speak to a supervisor at Amazon. I was referred to a person who would only tell me his name was Chris **.
Chris proceeded to yell at me over the phone and tell me that it was my fault that the money was refunded to a closed account and that I was trying to get him to break the law. I simply told him what I was told by Wells Fargo. The representatives at Wells Fargo said that they had no record of a refund to my closed account and that it would've been impossible for a refund to process to a closed account. They suggested that I tell Amazon to figure out an alternative for repayment. I was on the phone with Amazon representatives for two hours, during which someone placed me on hold for forty minutes!
Then I got to Chris, which was a bigger mistake and a worse experience. This "supervisor" who has obviously been terribly trained, refused to listen or to be helpful or offer any kind of alternative, instead he just yelled at me and said I was trying to get him to break the law which didn't make any sense to me since I was just asking for the money I was owed, and instead of listening he just spoke over me the more I tried to explain.
As a librarian and someone who works with people I know I would've been terminated at my employment if I ever treated someone the way Chris treated me. I had undergone a difficult experience already with my last Amazon order and I had really hoped that a company like Amazon would be more willing to help someone who has been a customer since 2002. After this horrible experience I will never be ordering from Amazon again since I now see how little Amazon values its long-time, loyal customers. The level of anger and frustration I had been led to experience by Amazon customer service representatives was completely unnecessary, uncalled for and unprofessional.

Having sold consumer electronics for almost 20 years, I am very aware of what I'm purchasing when it comes to televisions. I placed an order for a particular model 4K TV advertised by a seller that showed it to be in stock. The product delivered was the wrong model and I requested return authorization thru my Amazon Prime membership with a detailed explanation as to why. I had to contact the seller to get approved for the return and then back to Amazon to get the correct "free" shipping label they tried to screw me out of. Next, I reported the false advertising through the almost impossible to find channels and waited to see the results. You guessed it folks, not even an attempt to take down the ad or even as much as a retraction to try and act like it wasn't blatant false advertising.
I WAS a Amazon Prime customer purchasing on average about 3k a month (business/home) products. I made one last attempt at getting their attention with no results and cancelled my account. Not one word of apology or concern was ever seen. I'm sure they'll never miss the money I was spending but at the same time I don't miss a damn thing about them either.

When I didn't hear back from the sellers I contacted Amazon to let them know. I also left reviews about the products being fake and that the buyers should beware of purchasing this product. I used no bad language or obscene content in my reviews. Amazon rejected my reviews. This shows that Amazon does not take selling fake products seriously and supports this behavior by rejecting reviews when consumers complain that a product is fake.

Amazon used to be THE place to go to order things. Unfortunately they have a bit of a monopoly when it comes to ordering books. And I wish they didn't now. I LOVED Amazon for years and was so happy with their service. But in the last 2 months I've had nothing but trouble! I hadn't been able to order anything for a while, but started again because of needing Homeschooling supplies for my son. Toward the end of December, I placed an order of 2 math textbooks.
3 weeks later, they FINALLY shipped. I had waited so long that during that time I signed up for Amazon Prime so I would have faster service or at least free shipping to make up for waiting. I placed a 2nd order the day before that first order shipped. The 2nd order arrived on the day the 1st order was supposed to arrive. The 1st order arrived 2 days late... and guess what? The box was EMPTY! Thankfully Amazon refunded my order. A couple of weeks later I placed a 3rd order. When it arrived, one of the math books I had ordered this time was the 1980 version instead of the 2008 version that I ordered!!! I had to return it because I don't need an outdated textbook that I didn't even order. They refunded my money quickly thankfully, but it was a pain to STILL not have the textbook I'd been trying to get for 1 month now. I gave up ordering a math book from Amazon.
Then, this last Friday I placed a 4th order of Homeschooling books. This time they charged me for the same order TWICE. It put my bank account in the hole, and another bill was returned and I was charged a $35 overdraft fee. I called Amazon and they claim I was NOT charged twice, that it was only an authorization. Well, unfortunately, my bank apparently doesn't differentiate between the two because I'm being charged for both! Gratefully I have an awesome bank and they refunded the fee and are working to dispute the 2nd charge from Amazon. I'll probably end up not getting that order at all. When I found all the horrid reviews here about Amazon I started thinking maybe they are just failing miserably lately. Do they have new policies or a new CEO or something that has changed drastically in the last few months to cause all these problems? I want the OLD Amazon back!!!

Their business practices are very un-American and of poor quality. Just go to Wal-Mart where you can see the item and return if it doesn't work.

Like many other reviews, I never had a problem with Amazon until I bought a computer from Kaleidoscope Electronics. The sell price for the 2016 HP Pavilion 15 Premium Flagship Laptop (15.6-inch Touchscreen Display, Intel Core i7-6500U up to 3.1GHz, 12GB RAM, 1TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 2 GB, Windows 10 Home) (Certified Refurbished) was listed for $504. I purchased the computer Jan 7th.
On Jan 8th I received an email from NJStar Distribution: "I am really sorry but we sent you a wrong laptop. The one we sent to you is a slower laptop (i5 4GB memory vs i7 12GB you ordered). Please refuse the delivery and the package will be returned to us. If the package can not be refused, please don't open it. just take it to any UPS location. The package can still be returned to us without you paying any shipping fees. We will issue you a full refund. Thank you."
As it turned out, the seller only wanted the computer back so they could sell it for $779. My reply: "I have no problem with the error and will do as you instructed. When you say, full refund, does that mean that you are not sending the correct laptop either?" Their reply: "I am sorry but we don't have it in stock. This laptop was listed under this configuration by mistake." I looked on Amazon and found they were still selling the computer. I wrote: "According to Amazon, you still have 3 in stock, just at a higher price."
Their reply: "We mark up the price just to prevent people from buying it. We are still investigating the cause the problem. Right now we don't have any of them in stock." My Reply: "That is a very interesting way of doing that. Let me see if I got this right, instead of removing the ad or stating in the ad that there are zero left, you decided to up the price and claim that you had 3 in stock. Is this a normal business practice for NJStar?" When I tried to alert other buyers and Amazon, Amazon deleted my reviews. I ordered a couple of movies from Amazon last December, using an Amazon gift card I got for Christmas. January's bank statement showed that my order had been debited to my debit card, and not to my gift card. When I contacted Amazon about the problem, telling them that I wanted the amount of my order debited to my gift card and my bank account credited, I was told, to my utter amazement, that there was no record of a gift card in my account. You don't just stumble into a gift card purchase. It takes real deliberation to punch in the relevant information and place the order. I remember being proud of myself that I'd left less than 50 cents on the gift card after I was through with my order.
I still have the card devoid of the stuff I'd scratched off to get to the activation code. I'd obviously used the card for a purchase. Anyway, I was told by Amazon customer service that, since there was no record of my having a gift card when I made my movie purchase, that I could only use my gift card for my next purchase. Haha. I love Amazon's optimism. I think I'll be doing business with Movies Unlimited from now on.

Same thing had no clue to what happened, refunded me the money. I ordered a Android Tablet. When I received it regular shipping it arrived different model & brand. Not even close to what I ordered.
A year later I ordered some Blu Ray movies & a TV wall mount from separate sellers. I received the Amazon with a hole in it. I have been a loyal customer of Amazon since the very beginning when they were just selling books in the mid-late 90s. I remember it took one day for delivery, with no extra fees if you lived on the West Coast. When they expanded their warehouse system globally over the years of course things changed, but one thing that could be counted on was their continued tremendous customer service. I have always given high praise to Amazon's stellar customer service, inventory choices and prompt shipping throughout the years amongst my family, friends and colleagues.
However, as of late their reputation has changed drastically and not for the better. In the past months I have noticed a considerable decline in quality of goods received and most importantly shipping times are skewed. This includes receiving items 4-5 days late or having the shipping date mysteriously change once my credit card is charged. Recently I attempted to write an honest review of a negative experience paying for a value pack, but just receiving one item 4 days later as a Prime member. Amazon twice sent a note that my review breached their terms of service. This has never happened before and I speculate it's because of a continuous flow of recent negative reviews.
As far as historical glitches are concerned, the first breach in service occurred when I did not receive a small prime item for 3 weeks early last year. I let it slide when I was refunded the cost of the item when it was eventually delivered. Nonetheless, this same situation has repeated several times during the past few months with a variety of items I ordered from clothing to household items.
I have ironically had the best experience ordering gently used items from private sellers. The former always delivers with no problems, but the latter continues to have problems. This includes advising that something was delivered when it was not, resulting in me having to get in touch with an outsourced customer service agent who does not have the means to truly determine the cause and effect of the issue at hand. I have also experienced at least twice in the past 6 months, Amazon turning around many months later saying they did not receive a returned item that I returned immediately with proven tracked delivery.
What?! I have no other choice but to acknowledge something is very wrong with their existing fulfillment model. They are either not hiring competent people or they're losing competent employees. Who is in charge over there now? Because whatever is happening you're about to lose a long-term customer which will probably bode well for my wallet anyway.
It's a shame because Amazon had most of my business and it was a good relationship for many years. I guess I will just need to find other on-line sellers as well as hit the local brick & mortars again. There is a reason for everything and hopefully they will listen to their customer's concerns. I am not one to complain, but this has gotten out of hand and I no longer trust them to do what they say they're going to do. Not to mention it's exhausting fixing issues with them now. You'd better start telling the truth Amazon because obviously there are some holes in your process which your smart customers can no longer deny.

I purchased a regular sized activity tracker for a Christmas gift. I needed to exchange it for a large size. The price increased by 50.00 between the time I made the purchase and returned the product. Amazon insisted that I pay the increased cost while they reimbursed me for the lower price. There is no price difference between the two sizes. I felt this was unfair. I have had similar issues with brick and mortar stores and it was always resolved to my satisfaction. Amazon's initial response to my complaint took about 2 minutes (late at night) causing me to think it was a computer generated email. It said: "We work hard to find the best prices out there and make sure our prices are as low or lower changing our prices instantly if we find a lower offer somewhere else. Therefore, with the exception of TVs, we don't offer post-purchase adjustments."
A few minutes later, I received an another email asking me if my issue had been resolved to my satisfaction. I replied that it was not and repeated my complaint and they sent me a similar email with condescending rudeness added: "I realize this is frustrating; however, we aren't able to offer any additional insight or action on this matter and any further inquiries regarding this issue won't receive a response."

The customer service is awful. Don't get me wrong, I love using Amazon to shop. The problem arises when there is an issue that needs to get solved by customer services. Thus far, dealing with the individual merchants has gone fine. Even when I bought cakes that turned out to be stale, that specific merchant made a full refund - no problem. However, I recently bought a book for a course I am taking and it was in awful condition. I wrote a review with pictures describing the condition of the book and attempted to post it on Amazon. The post was reject and was told that I was talking about the merchant. At no point did I use derogatory terms or mention the merchant. I tried rewording the post more than 5 times and got rejected. One of the reviews I submitted literally said "Horrible condition" - one star and got rejected. I contacted customer services and this was their response:
"I understand you're upset and I regret that we haven't been able to address your concerns to your satisfaction. However, this was communicated earlier via email by my colleague, We won't be able to provide further insight or assistance for your request. We hope to see you again soon." I read the guidelines, I also asked them to tell me specifically how to word my simple one-star comment. I am an Amazon PRIME member and have been a loyal customer. However, I had a disturbing transaction with Amazon and I feel I must share it. Amazon will not assist. I know they can because I have done the same in a management position. I purchased a laptop for $1,310 and I chose to take next day delivery instead of PRIME because I need it for work. I was guaranteed delivery today. I was sent an email confirming payment and that I would receive it today.
Last night I received an "update" that my laptop would be delivered next Wednesday - in 7 days- not the Next Day that I paid for and was guaranteed. They sent it UPS ground, which was an error on their part. It is very deceiving to advertise next day shipping and take the money to guarantee it, and then change the date after the customer pays. I would have received this item sooner on regular 2 day PRIME.
I called customer service and spoke to a supervisor. They would not do anything to assist me. I know they could have fixed this because the label had just been created. They could have even called UPS and changed shipping instructions. I have done this as a manager on my business account corporately. They just refused because they do not care. They would not even transfer me to a department that could assist. Emails have not assisted either. I would have chosen a different retailer if I had known the length of time I would have to work because I need it for work and college.
Amazon is supposed to be a retailer that stands behind their product and customers. After this experience, I see that they only provide excuses. I have sent emails and tried to talk to supervisors. The "call center" was as good as nothing. I encourage others to seek out other online commerce sites. Amazon is not the retailer that they used to be. I need this computer for school and work. This is not a novel order - it is a necessity. I cannot work on an iPhone. This is the worst experience and I will be sharing it everywhere that I can to prevent others from having it happen to them.

It was for Plum organics Mash Ups, Tropical Fruit. I buy a case of 6 for usually around $20 give or take a few dollars. In my November order, they charged me $85, $73 after discount. FOR A SIX PACK OF SMASHED FRUIT. I never noticed this until now because I never feel like I have to worry about getting ripped off. I called their customer service and was told that "prices fluctuate".
My gripe is that if there is an item that is fluctuating to 4 times the store price, then it shouldn't be on their Subscribe and save program! How is that a "savings"? I didn't even know this happened because, like I said, I have about 20 subscriptions a month. It was also around the holidays. I have been shopping with Amazon for past 12 years and I have been seeing the deterioration in the customer service. The reps and supervisors apart from being friendly, were considerate which now has disappeared. In my latest issue with my order placed on their website but purchased from a 3rd party, Amazon refused to help me. The item was ordered 2 months back and I was assured by Amazon rep in Dec, that I will get the item. However the delivery date of Jan 11th passed and I still haven't received my order. When contacted, they said the seller left Amazon and I can file claim under A-Z Guarantee, to which I asked them, that I would prefer the product and Amazon should help me.
The item was shipped and had a delivery date. This itself shows that the seller shipped, but for some reason if now we are not able to contact the seller, then Amazon should step in and help customer. Amazon refused to help citing it's 3rd party and Amazon doesn't have any accountability or responsibility. Best they can do is that customer can file the claim and get their money back. This is no help as I can always reach out to my credit card company and dispute the purchase from the seller. However Amazon providing a platform to sellers, must have accountability if not responsibility, and help the customers. It was a genuine purchase, and hence the sale contract must be adhered to.
If it was fraudulent sale, then why did Amazon allow such sale to exist on their website. The mere presence of a fraud sale on their website proves, Amazon is either part of such scam and purposefully letting these sellers to sell on their website to drive revenue to their website OR they are indulging in to bait and switch. This is what Amazon rep asked me to do when I requested for help, is to place another order for the same item and pay $190+. This is ridiculous. I paid $40 for the item, and now they want me to pay $190 and to compensate, they offered first $5, then $10 and then their supervisor $15. It's a massive $140 difference, and Amazon help is only $15.
After refusing the offer and refusing to file a claim for the refund, as I wanted the item as per the dale contract, since the item was shipped, when I contacted 2nd time, they without my consent, filed the case on my behalf and refunded my money. They also couldn't clarify as why they did this without my consent. On contacting 3rd time, they refused to talk on this matter and even refused to compensate. This I would like to highlight to the consumer to be careful of purchasing from Amazon. And if so, do not expect great service from them.

I buy things from Amazon regularly. Overall I have had a great experience with this company and I love their products and have a good experience of the sellers associated with them. When I was moving out of my old house I even sold a used game through them 2 years ago. The problem that is bothering me lately and reason for the 2 stars is the following has upset me as I have just tried to give a 5 star review of a bra and was met with a message that I was banned by Amazon from reviewing items made by that bra company because my reviews are "hostile". If I love it I give 5 stars, which I often do. If I found flaws I calmly state what was wrong with it, which is rare. BUT If I find any flaws with anything at all... ever, Amazon generally emails me that they rejected my review and instructs me to write it again removing the criticism (then how is it a review?).
In specific, most recently, I bought bras from Comfort Choice. I liked the new style but some of the fabrics used in the first bra I tried felt substandard and they were easily damaged. Still I liked the style and looked for something similar on Amazon. I found another version by the *same* company Comfort Choice and took a second chance on them. The second bra of that type used stronger fabric and I really, really love it. I reviewed both later in the month at the same time and stated the above in a calm manner, just the facts. I am now banned from commenting on ANY of Comfort Choices products.
The message from Amazon when I reviewed a second purchase today and was giving it 5 stars told me that I am hostile toward the bra company and their products! I had simply gave 3 stars to the poorly made bra and said it stretched out of shape on the sides when I first put it on and put my hand under to adjust, and the fabric was instantly permanently damaged. Which was the truth. It was a nice design concept but seemed cheaply made. The other review of their stronger bra I had given 5 stars and I said I really loved the stronger bra and the quality of it. I will be buying those from now on. I had submitted both of the first two reviews at the same time, and now I am banned for "hating" Comfort Choice and cannot leave comments about their products even though I love their products, including some female boxers I bought twice and I highly recommend.
I also critically reviewed a set of Christmas box items Order **, that light up, from another seller and said they packed the box too tightly with the item, no filler, so if the delivery box was squeezed the items inside would be damaged, and in fact 3 of the items had small cracks. I said it was a great item but needed better care for shipping. That review was rejected and I was instructed to make another review that did not include criticism of the packaging. I have been asked for my buying experience, correct? That WAS my honest assessment as was asked for. I don't like being instructed to give only glowing reviews.
I started shopping at Amazon because I actually care about reviews. That is the attraction for me. This treatment changes my view (and trust) of what other buyers have written. The bras I recommend buying are the Comfort Choice Women's Plus Size Bra, 3 Pack Soft Cup, Full-Coverage Leisure, it's like a sports bra. I really like them! Whereas the one that felt cheaper made was the Comfort Choice Women's Plus Size Seamless, Wireless Leisure Bra 2-Pack. I see that someone else gave it 5 stars and says it is all cotton. It was synthetic material when I bought it, so maybe they got their bras mixed up. The actual description by the company even says "hand-washable soft nylon tricot knit; nylon/spandex lace", not cotton. So the 5 star review is false for that specific bra.
My review was: It stretches but some threads popped from the elastic when I was adjusting it down and stretching it to adjust ruined the side material (I said this because that was exactly what happened to me. How is it hostile?). And they actually let me post that comment. Which confuses me because they told me to rewrite the christmas box review because apparently they didn't like that I said the seller needs to use a bigger box, but they post the critical bra review I made and then punish me for it. If they don't want people to tell their exact experience of products, then they should just get rid of the ratings section and stop punishing and harassing people to write it again if their experience wasn't 4-5 star.

I listed an iPhone 7 as new on Amazon. The phone was purchased through AT&T and I had to open the box to pop the SIM card. So I describe the device as "AT&T version, brand new in box." The phone was purchased by a guy in WARWICK, RI using an Indian credit card (order number: **). Later the buyer requested return, claiming that the device was not as described and there were scratches all over it. This is completely untrue since the device still has its factory wrap intact, the device has never been powered on. I took photos of everything in box so I could prove that. Nevertheless, the buyer filed A-Z claim. So I received the buyer's two messages self-addressed as Amazon, and one email self addressed as Amazon specialist "Mohammad". There was the claim under review but the case has never been moved to "Actions Required" section.
As someone who frequently receives messages self addressed as Amazon requiring me to ship the product but there was nothing at the web portal. I ignored the messages, but just in case I did report the concerns at the comment section of that A-Z claim. I had never been contacted by Amazon until later they said they deducted the money from my seller account, and the buyer doesn't have to return the phone.
So here are the issues: (1) I listed the phone as new. It is materially the same as what I described. It is a new phone with factory wrap intact and never been powered on. The buyer is essentially lying about the condition of the phone. Amazon never asked about any prove but deemed the item listed inaccurately. (2) Assuming that I received two messages and one email which were actually from Amazon, who also ridiculously made duplicated return requests, how could Amazon act on behalf of the buyer at the very early stage of this dispute? How could Amazon ignore the mere fact that the one who initiated the A-Z claim was lying and never made a justified arbitration?

On Jan 10th I was promised a $20 promotional credit due to a simply awful experience with an Amazon seller. On Jan 15th I attempted to use the credit and found only a $10 credit. I went to online customer service "help" and followed the path. I was given the option to chat or call. Thought chat would be simpler (wrong)... 12:09: I connected to CHAT. By 12:29:44 PM, I had been through three chat agents (they kept transferring me) and finally was promised resolution. At 1:40 I found that the credit was not applied.
Went through chat again where it was verified that "Genesis: As I've checked here that the previous representative didn't issue you a credit of $10.00. 1:36:02 PM." At 1:46 I checked my account and the credit has been applied. Thank goodness that this chat only took a few minutes. But, in summary, the customer service chat sessions are long, drawn-out, and ineffective. The email option is good (although, by design, not an instant resolution) and everything is on permanent record in the Amazon account.

We chose to use our checking account over credit or debit as the means of payment and discovered every other order placed is declined by Amazon because of a glitch in their system. I've had to call, cancel the order, reorder, and wait extra days for my items though I'm a Prime customer (2 days free shipping not 4+) because of this glitch. Amazon is aware of it since Christmas according to customer representatives who can do nothing to help or fix the problem. The reps think they are helping by telling you the various other ways to pay and the conversation is always the same with me interrupting and saying I am aware of the other ways but am not wanting to use them. We chose "checking" as our means of payment.
The other night when I called I asked to speak to a supervisor and was given to "Earl" after an unbelievable wait of 10 minutes. If Earl was a supervisor I'm a genius! AMAZON, you are being fooled by your own employees! If Amazon offers checking why is it not working properly after being aware of this problem for this long? Very inconvenient! We will decide soon to drop Amazon. Life will go on. Don't offer what you can't deliver!

What can I say. Amazon is the place to purchase all your products. No doubt about that. There's many reasons for that. First of all the prices are unbeatable at Amazon. If they are so be it, but Amazon provides a lot of customer service for a product even 3rd party sellers have. How much better can it get, well it does. Lets not forget the benefits for being a prime member. There a lot of movies, music, t.v show and they offer it for free, and it doesn't end there but they also provide 2-day shipping, and also guarantees your item. That's an awesome deal for $99 a year.
By the way Amazon is doing an awesome job on fixing other 3rd party sellers mistakes and that will always be appreciated by me and Im sure by other loyal customers too. Even though I have arguments with Amazon everything at the end comes out resolved, and for that I will always be an Amazon Prime member and customer.

My tv mount was late by 2 days and I wanted to know why so I hit up the amazon chat, and asked the question "why was the tv mount delayed?" The first rep put me on hold for 5 mins then another 2 mins to check on the tracking and told me it was delivered. I knew that already. I wanted to know WHY. She dodged the question and PROMISED to extend my Prime by another month. I asked "when's the new renewal date?" Said, replied "March 1", which my original date is April 1. Another min later she said it will be May 1 and she PROMISED to email me the notification. 2 hrs later no change to my account.
Hit up Amazon chat again. This time another rep put me on hold for 10 mins right off the bat. Then I told her what happened and she said because my account is a trial prime and can not be extended; she would offer a $5 credit to the account as compensation. I inquired their "concerned department" because she said she will escalate this issue, then she put me on hold multiple times and then hastily ended the conversation and PROMISED to issue a $5 credit to my account, which I will not be able to see. The second rep said "we never brushed off our customers" but she did exactly that. Even if it means to throw her co-rep under the bus. I was going to apply for their credit card, but given their level of customer service, I will not apply for their credit card nor will I renew my prime membership.

I've had a Prime Membership for yrs & purchased tons of items on a regular basis. Shipping has changed, I have to wait days for the item to arrive. At first it was because they added another choice, you can chose prime or prime free one day. Chose the wrong one a couple of times but now you go in, put in the prime or prime free one day filter and the item shows as prime but when you go to check out, IT ISN'T. You can chose one day but you have to pay $5.99 (example), or free two day - I ordered item on Wednesday, order said I will receive on Saturday - how does that add up to two days?
I feel that Amazon is misleading with the items also - says if you order within the next "1 hour" (example) you'll get it the next day - YEAH IF YOU PAY FOR IT. I've cut down my orders on Amazon and have been checking out other online companies like Amazon. Amazon you're losing a good customer because of your shipping policies - with a Prime membership no less. Thanks.

I have had Prime for a couple of years. Every item I have ordered that was Prime eligible for 2-day shipping, it was delivered in two days. Recently, however, when I have ordered some things that indicated if I ordered within a certain number of hours, the items would be delivered within two days, it was not true, and I was not aware until AFTER I placed the order and an e-mail was sent confirming the delivery date of the order. It was then I saw that the receive date was four days later. I called Amazon to find out why the website indicated I would receive it within two days, but it changed once I actually placed the order.
I was told that Prime 2-day free shipping means that the items will be received within 2 days after they ship, so if it takes a couple of days for the item to ship, it will not be received until 2 days after that. This had never happened before until this past Christmas, and now it has happened several times. They give you the option of choosing 1-day shipping to receive it sooner, but you have to pay for it. Since that was the only perk I used of the Amazon Prime membership, I will not be renewing since the info related to the items you want to purchase seems to change once the order is actually placed. And if I have to pay for 1-day shipping to get items in 2 days, the cost of the membership is not worth it. Very disappointing and aggravating...

This Christmas we ordered several things. Amazon tied up our money by a fee, which I forget the name of, with equal the cost of the items. I don't understand why a credit or debit card does not work anymore. They give you back your money after your item has been shipped. If I pay with a credit card. Doesn't that entitle you to the item already. It took us 2 weeks to get our money back. Just now I was looking for an item for my bike online. There was this big green click box that said try Amazon Prime for FREE. They charged my account anyway for the membership.
They will be sending me my money back in 3 or 4 days. It takes them one second to get my money but it takes me 4 days to get my refund. I could have gone to a store to get what I needed and paid immediately. I will never be using Amazon again. And the only Amazon I will ever capitalize again will be the one in South America. I was so stupid to try them again after the first screw up.

I ordered 4 items, three of them were "sold by Amazon". The other was sold by different dealer, all were free shipping and all were IN STOCK. I placed the order on January 3; as of today January 10th all four items are "Preparing for shipment" So amazon has sat on this order to "punish" their non-prime members. After complaining, I received a refund from Amazon. However, the seller then retaliated against me by putting my First and Last name in the response to my feedback. I have submitted requests to Amazon four times, each time waiting the requested 48 hours for them to "resolve the issue." This has NOT been resolved.
Upon calling Amazon, the representative told me they are having difficulty actually functionally deleting the breach off of my personal privacy and security that was made by this seller. I told them I would complain to ConsumerAffairs if it was not resolved in another 48 hours, so, here I am. I'm very concerned about their lack of interest in removing my actual name from the seller's response. First, I have been a LONG time loyal customer of Amazon... over 17 years... back when they only sold books. I'm accustomed to giving Amazon excellent ratings. However, in the past year the only orders I can count on getting filled in a reasonable time are the ones filled by the vendors themselves. The items that are identified as "sold by Amazon" or "fulfilled by Amazon" and are "guaranteed to be filled and shipped out in 2 days", now take unreasonable amounts of time to fill. I have contacted customer service several times in the past several days and had a conversation on FB with Amazon, and I must say... they are overly polite to the point of patronizing, full of over-the-top insincere apologies, and NOTHING gets resolved. They say I will get an e-mail with the answer, and I get a survey instead.
It's been almost a week and a half and 7 out of 9 items in my order are sitting waiting to be filled when most of the ads said they would ship out within 2 days. I will completely miss my work deadline. What the heck happened to you this past year, Amazon? You have been my favorite place to shop. Why are you not paying attention to this? I'm not the only one. I see this complaint all over the Internet. The stuff I order is mostly work related, so I need honesty in the ad about shipping. It's not good to say one thing in the ad, secure funds, and then not deliver what was promised; IE: confirmation emails stating indefinite time frames when the ad promised something else. I REALLY hope things get back on track and Amazon doesn't become one of those really bad online companies.

Upon my search, I found 2 separate orders that I had paid for items but never received. Apparently you have to watch your orders closely with Amazon because they allow their vendors to steal from their customers. I called and spoke to a nice young woman who gave me an immediate refund for the first order.
For the other 2 items, she had to ask for authorization. After sitting on hold for awhile I was then told that they weren't giving me a refund for the second set of items. I asked to speak to a manager who has that "I'm young and I know it all and I'm special" ENTITLED ATTITUDE, who told me now I wasn't getting any refund. So I told the snippy manager I thought that they were thieves and she agreed with me that they were in a very childish, stubborn, unprofessional way. The biggest price advantage is the free shipping option, delivery is very prompt, and their refund policy puts it over the top for us. The only drawback to Amazon is when the item is offered by a third-party seller; then, the purchase can be questionable. For example, products designated as "Apple-certified" but not sold by Apple can be epic fails with inferior quality. Same with printer cartridges that are not sold by the manufacturer.
