I've been a prime member for several years now, and it just keeps getting worse. Since becoming a Prime member, I've spent more time with Amazon customer service than someone I'm in a romantic relationship with. Deliveries are sporadically on time, at best. The only good side is, I've been refunded probably $500 - $600 by Amazon for merchandise that is either delivered late or not delivered at all. I've also been refunded the $99 yearly fee and been granted free membership for a year. I'm not paying $99 a year for late or no-show packages. With that being said, Amazon can refund me the cost of the merchandise in exchange for the repeated inconvenience. If I'm paying for 2 day delivery, I WANT 2 day delivery!!
A BIG part of the issue is these rag-tag, half-baked delivery companies they hire. I've since had to get in touch with customer service (yet again) and "de prioritize" one of these delivery companies. They were so bad. One would assume Amazon would just STOP using them, but I'm guessing that's TOO easy! One would ALSO assume that Amazon would know whether or not the company is capable of fulfilling the 2 day delivery window. If not, again, one would assume Amazon would contact the company and correct the issue. I don't think I'll be renewing my Prime membership for another year. The Prime Pantry feature is a rip-off, not to mention most merchandise on Amazon is available elsewhere for the same price or lower.

5th time an Amazon order did not arrive within the Amazon guaranteed delivery window. I even paid extra for overnight shipping. Farm animals died because of this. Not sure why I even gave Amazon another chance after all the past items that didn't show up on time. Your delivery "guarantee" is worthless.

Paying $100 a year for Prime, been a customer for years but had to change my phone number (so now I can't get a code texted to me to log in). So instead of allowing me to verify my identity like all the other sites out there including my bank, and Paypal, they told me to "Just make a new account". Really?? After over 10 years of having the same account, with all my contacts, all my order history, my Prime watchlist saved history; and all the saved payment information??? I'm also a seller, so I can't get in and manage my sales, either. I called their so called "customer service" umpteen times, got the runaround every single time.
Was finally given a link to send in my government issued ID so they could disable the two-step verification so I could access my account and change my phone number; but it's been weeks and I've submitted my ID numerous times, and spoke with countless reps who do nothing to help, but keep me on the phone going in circles! This has been a complete nightmare. So everyone in the world who uses the two-step verification and has to change their phone number should just "get a new account"??? The "authenticator app" is useless unless you set it up while logged into your account; and my account was created long before such a thing even existed. Has this happened to anyone else? I can't imagine I'm the only one. Guess they won't be getting any more of my money!

As part of the Amazon Prime agreement, which involves a $99 annual fee, you have access to a movie library. Only when you go to view a movie in that library, you will often find that the movie you have selected is "Unavailable in your area." When I called to complain I was told this is due to "second party license agreements." No, it isn't. It's due to Amazon placing profits above customer service, and choosing not to renew the licensing agreements, thereby depriving their paying customers of a service offered. When I told this to the Amazon representative, I was told: "it's just a movie..." No, it's not. It's fraud.

The products were never received. I am Amazon Prime customer and didnt receive any product. More than 10 days is over but still nothing, tried 3 days continuous redelivery, still it was not delivered. They should change name of Amazon Prime to Amazon primates, also same day delivery to same month delivery. If they are doing this to a customer in Manhattan I dont know how Amazon will be delivering in the rest of the USA.

Absolutely disastrous experience with Amazon.com, which placed 2 orders without my consent, showed 0 items in my shopping cart at all times, but charged money instantly. Their website did not function (I guess), there was no way to cancel, edit, delete the orders and cc info. No phone number to call to ask for refunds. Refund link was irresponsive. This is not the end of the story yet since it takes 3 - 5 days to get a refund. Will never try this experience again with Amazon.com.

This all started out pretty simple 6 days ago with me trying to return a Christmas gift (Echo Spot, and TP Link smart plug,) for Store credit. I was not given a gift receipt but was told that if I provided the DSN number that they could look it up and return it. LIE #1, not true. Went home to look up the number and gave information to you the next day and said they couldn't return it. Then I spoke with someone else and after over an hour they said they would email me the return labels. LIE #2. I finally got the email the next day that simply stated "you can return to Amazon books," Would be simple, but there is not an Amazon bookstore where I live, which I had previously stated. So I then have to start all over with this as the email that was sent to me was from a do not reply address.
So I called and was told that they would be able to return the item and it would take a while, so she took down my phone number and promised if the call dropped then would give me a callback and regardless would email me the return label. After 45 mins the call dropped. She assured me if the call dropped she would call me back, LIE #3, never got a callback, also said she would email me return label. LIE #4, never got an email. Day 4, start all over again, this time I ended up getting the order number, which required me calling my sister and making her look it up, which was not only an annoyance for me and her, but also I had to do something that I didn't want, which is having her know I was returning the gift. So with order number ready try this again and was told that the department I was speaking with could not help me.
So thanks for the previous 3 days of wasting my time if you couldn't even return the item, either that or lying to me again, I was told that they would log a ticket and someone would contact me to resolve, LIE #5, never got an email. So day 5, At this point I'm pretty upset and frustrated, asked if I could just talk with manager or supervisor, but was not able to, and instead was told that the supervisor has the same resources that he does so nothing would be different. So after 45 mins of talking to him and coming to the same conclusion that he can’t help me I get transferred to someone else that eventually says they can’t process return but they will log a ticket and follow up via email in 24 hours.
I bring up the point if this is the case as soon as I gave him the order number, he should have been able to tell me he can’t process return it’s a different department. LIE #6, so either he can and lied about it, or just for fun wasted 45 mins of my time pretending he could return the item. So I get an email the next day, stating "I hear you need to return a book, what’s the order number". LIE #7, so apparently a ticket was never filed, otherwise they would have had the order number, and would have known it’s not about returning a book, in fact a book is not on that order at all. So yet again another worthless email that I can’t reply to and only directing me to the same number I called the previous 5 days.
Day 6, at this point I'm done with Amazon. All I want is an email address or mailing address that I can file a formal complaint. Would think that would be easy, but no... I could not find an email on the website so had to contact customer support, told him all I wanted was an email, he wouldn't give it to me until he tried to help me, so despite me telling him he couldn't and that this was now day 6 of this and person #11 that I have dealt with I had to waste another 45 mins of my time for him to realize he can’t help me. Then I simply asked for the customer service email, he refused to give it to me, and even went as far to tell me that the email doesn't exist. LIE #7. Finally I had to tell him that it was given to me the day before but I didn't write it down, he was magically able to give it to me.
So here we are day 6 and 7 blatant lies and counting. And back at square 1, another person promising that they will email me the return label in 24 hours. So we shall see what happens, But what I can assure you is that my thousands of dollars (which is probably meaningless to you) that I usually spend purchasing products on Amazon, and me raving about how awesome Amazon is and their great customer support, will be no more. Lie #8 was told that there was not a physical address to mail a formal complaint, but magically there is, surprise surprise.

I've been completely fed up with the way Amazon doesn't live up to their promises, especially in regards to "Prime" shipping. First, I've been an Amazon customer for almost 16 years. And in the last 5 years their ability to get anything delivered on time is about 50/50. And there has been times when an item has changed price to what would be interpreted as a "good value". It's been my experience that those items have the biggest failure rate when it comes to actually receiving them. But most recently things in general with Amazon have gotten worse. I've had issues such as (please note that purchase "Prime" items 95% of the time):
* Items are not as described. For example, I purchased an item (Prime, fulfilled by Amazon) that was shown as a "3 Pack". But only received one of the item. I initially had some doubt before I actually made the purchase so I contacted their CSRs twice and was guaranteed that I would receive 3 items as described. However I only received one. I contacted Amazon again and I was eventually able to get in touch an alleged state-side "manager" who confirmed that I should have received 3. This person also guaranteed that they would personally follow up and get in touch with me. Lies, just lies. And that is only one example.
* Poor packaging. The first poorly packaged item purchased in the past 18 months was a cell phone. It arrived in what can be best described as a "fold up box". It wasn't a normal square or rectangular shaped box, it consisted of large fold-over flaps (with the stupid Amazon smile on it). When the cell phone arrived you could clearly see the cellphone's box, so it was exposed to the elements. Another item was a small and delicate electronic component. It arrived in a lightly padded shipping envelope that had obvious damage. It was torn, and stepped on at least twice (the footprints were clearly seen). In addition, the item was supposed to be contained in an anti-static wrap and then within its own flimsy product box. However the item was loosely floating around in the outer shipping envelope. It was returned, and exchanged. The second item arrived packaged the same way.
* Amazon Logistics. What a joke! It's bad enough that I get a package notification for something that isn't even delivered. And that is consistent. And then there are the "excuses" for not making the delivery. And there is inconsistency between the statuses shown to the consumer and the "real" status only visible to a logistics CSR. This particular time I opted to have the shipment delivered to a "locker" located within a local business (a grocery store).
The shipment was broken up into 2 shipments and the first arrived on-time. However the second one didn't. It was that shipment that I received excuses such as - "the truck didn't arrive on time" and "it was a miss-scan". Here's the really stupid part, they tried to deliver the second shipment to the locker at 5:45AM. Clearly the business wasn't open at that time. So I called Amazon AGAIN and was given the same run around of where they make lame excuses and will tell you anything just to get you off the phone.
* Amazon review "approvals". Amazon is so afraid of bad reviews that can be seen on their site. They will deny a review if anything bad is said about Amazon. You're not able to leave any type of public review that shows how lousy their service has become. And if you do leave a "private" review to them there is never any follow up of any kind.
* Amazon carrier choices. They should really stop using the USPS. The USPS in my area fails quite often and is never held accountable. When Amazon initially began using their own carrier and delivery personnel the service was adequate. However over the past 6 months this has changed. For example, I have an obvious note on my door that states "Package Delivery: please knock on door, thanks!". Lately they have ignored that and place packages on the open stoop or in the mailbox (guess what the genius post-person does... That's right, they think it's outgoing mail and take it!).
* Scam-artist sellers. Amazon seems to be letting scammers sell there. On one rare occasion where I purchased some items from a "third party" seller it turned out to be a scam. The product never shipped and the so-called "seller" never responded to any attempts to contact them. I had to call Amazon and obtain a refund, and I encountered some resistance from the CSR. I believe that Amazon should be pro-active in those situations and reach out to their customers.
Lastly, some advice to other unhappy Amazon customers - If you can't understand the CSR due to their inability to speak clearly in English, or if they're giving you an attitude you should demand to speak with someone stateside. I also recommend that you call during daytime business hours. Also you should demand some type of compensation, if you pressure them you may get a free month of Prime (if you're a member, yes it really isn't "compensation") or you may get a monetary credit on your account for future purchases.

Since Amazon has been using more third party and overseas merchants, my orders take longer to ship and the quality of the merchandise is questionable. Most of my Christmas purchases came from overseas without my knowledge. At least eBay tells you where the item for sale is located so you can make an informed decision. I will be closing out my credit card and no longer shopping at Amazon this year. How disappointing. I think they got too big, too fast and it shows in the service.

We have been Prime members for 19 years. The service has gotten progressively worse since we joined. There are packing errors, shipping errors, items that are scanned "delivered" that never left their distribution center. AZL is the worst of the worst. They are banned from entering our gated community, but still scan our packages as delivered. We installed security cameras to prove that they lie. We hold for HOUR and HOURS trying to get their reps in the Philippines to understand the problems and fix them.
Most of the time, we can't get them to understand what our email address is. When we escalate to the US, we get the RUDEST people that we have ever encountered. Does Bezos hold "RUDE CONTESTS" and only hire the worst of the worst? That's what we came up with. The truth is that NOBODY GIVES A CRAP ABOUT HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS. We have canceled our Prime Accounts and eagerly await the day that this company fails. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Bezos owes us thousands of dollars for the hundreds of hours that we have spent dealing with his HORRIBLE SERVICE. If we could figure out a way to sue the jerk for our time, we would - and so would missions of others.

I’m seeing online now a lot of people complaining about the new Amazon delivery service. It seems that they cannot get packages to the right address. For an online store that should be its number one priority but Amazon seems to be really dropping the ball on this one. Make sure you don’t live an in apartment complex or you’ll never get your package.

I do not live in a rural area but in the city. I tried Prime twice, and cancelled each time after a few months due to late delivery of most Prime (2-day) orders. Most recent screwups include packages showing as at Amazon's local hub, then next thing you know it's on its way to the coast, only to be rerouted to the same hub for delivery days later.
What I find most offensive is finding a notation delivery was attempted for any one of a number of reasons they can check off. Every time I call them out on the deceptive delivery attempt notations (i.e. does the GPS prove the claimed delivery attempt?), I get silence from Amazon. Amazon doesn't care whether or not packages are delivered on time as confirmed by their customer service... They could care less about late deliveries and their drivers lying about delivery attempts. No longer am I the fool who pays a monthly fee get screwed over half the time on deliveries. For 98% of my purchases I can get it just as cheap as Amazon somewhere else.

I have placed several orders (the order number I put down below is just one of them) for computer parts on AMAZON PRIME. Expensive and time sensitive parts! A market that constantly changes due to the cryptocurrency boom. First, my orders got declined then I got a phone call and verified them. Later I got another call. Unfortunately I missed that call and received a voice mail. Telling me that I need to call back with a REFERENCE number. Everything looks good so far. I tried to find a reference number. Went through my email. No number. Called customer service. They had no idea. They told me to reply the email. In the meantime my ACCOUNT GOT LOCKED, my debit card got locked. Replied to the email giving them all kinds of information telephone numbers, names, debit card numbers, social security verification etc... Just an automatic reply.
Next day I got several emails that I needed to change my card info on the account otherwise my orders would be cancelled. Well, I can’t get to the account! Called customer service again. They have no idea what was going on. Every time I have to go over the same story. They have no authority to fix or contact anybody. Obviously there is a magical person out there called an "Account Manager" that can fix the problem that no mortals can reach... Oh, and there is a magical number called a REFERENCE NUMBER that nobody knows...
I have given all my phone numbers, bank account numbers, security numbers, order numbers, email addresses nothing matches... Some orders went through. Some didn't. I can’t switch because MY ACCOUNT IS LOCKED! As soon as this gets resolved I will cancel all Amazon Accounts and told my family members do the same. Not only waste of money but a major problem right now since their mismanagement causes my bank getting suspicions and locking my accounts daily. USE EBAY... Set up your own security measure.

I placed in a call which was hung up and received an email stating... "Ooops, we got disconnected". I spoke with various staffs from Amazon as these people were just transferring my calls everywhere. I asked at one point, "Which department am I connected to NOW?" The answer was USA. Incredible... Last time I used Amazon, my package was 3 weeks late. However, I decided to give them a second chance. Big mistake. The stuff that I’ve paid for, still hasn’t arrived. Amazon used to be a dependable company, but not anymore. These days it’s just a website. The distribution and shipping is handled by a totally different company which Amazon has no control over or responsibility for. The customer service has apparently been outsourced to some company in India. Amazon isn’t a shop anymore, it’s just a shop front.
What I got when I clicked on “track package”, was a long list of lies. Apparently, my package was sent here and there, it was shipped from Chicago and 6 hours later it had arrived in Norway. Obviously sent by rocket ship, as a direct flight takes 9 hours. A week later, the package still hadn’t arrived. Why? Because it had never been sent in the first place.
You’ll notice that nowhere on the order confirmation e-mail does it say how to contact Amazon. And nowhere on the website does it say “contact us” or “customer service”. I tried to search for customer service on their website, and all I got were books that I could BUY about how to contact Amazon customer service! A long time and many searches later, I finally manage to get hold of customer service. I got an email from some poor Indian guy who was deeply apologetic and offered me ten bucks off my next purchase, but he didn’t actually know anything about the delivery of my package since that was a different company. When my package arrived, I could get a refund. But my package still hasn’t arrived. Will it ever? This is my last experience with Amazon. Hopefully, after reading this review, you have been warned!

If you EVER have to contact customer service you will never want to use Amazon again. They charged me for an item that I NEVER received and the rep refused to refund me. First, I have been a Prime member since 2013. I never experienced a problem such as this. But then again, I never had to contact customer service. When it comes to them messing up even ONCE. They will not own up to it. I used to use Amazon regularly, got my items on time, never had to complain.
Now, I ordered my item early December for a Christmas present. Was thinking 3 weeks for delivery would give it enough time to receive with PRIME shipping. I was wrong. It was delayed, then delayed, then even more delayed. I contacted chat support multiple times asking where my items were. They said, "I don't know what to tell you, I have to keep repeating myself to you and you will get it when you do, I can't do anything about that, I'm sorry." They offered a refund, and I said, "No, I just want the item and I will wait." So, I wait it out... I finally get a tracking number mid January and receive HALF the order. I chat again, they say this will have to be a carrier mishap and they need my email address. When I look at my order, for the tracking number, I see only ONE ITEM instead of two.
So I took 30 seconds to respond so they closed the chat and I had to AGAIN open a second chat and the person told me I needed to call, so I call and the lady told me that I requested for my order to be canceled during chat. I did not. I tell her I was charged for both, and she doesn't believe me since she shows only one item. I tell her my confirmation email stating TWO ITEMS. Explained the awful experience I have had. She says, "I don't believe you, I cannot refund this, there is no way." I tell her I am not going to be charged for something I did not receive and she states that since I requested to cancel the order, she cannot refund me.
So I am left charged for an item I did not receive. I explained myself 20x over the course of an hour to this rep and she acted as if I was stealing from Amazon for asking for my refund. Since I kept repeating myself, she said she would have to hang up for profanity when I NEVER cussed at her. She talked over me, she tried every which way to tell me I'm SOL. By the way, getting an American rep is not a thing. It took me 30 minutes out of the whole phone call for her to EVEN UNDERSTAND what was going on. Worst than Comcast.

I have been being stalked and was told by police detectives to protect myself in certain ways by not putting my financial and location info online. If I use Amazon make a fake account because Amazon always compromises your safety by putting your exact location and phone number in their emails to you even if you don't trust your email. They make your info unsecured. The emails could say refer to your account for shipping info. Well I have to use gift certificates for payment. Amazon is discriminating against me by treating me as a 3rd class customer no matter how long I have worked with them. Amazon refuses to allow me to see my options for shipping totals And ask a simple question. WHAT IS THE TOTAL OF MY ORDER including shipping and tax? Or how much money do I need to complete my order? Amazon is making money by not allowing you to get answers to these 2 questions.
This is basic customer service and respect. You can ask these questions to any place of retail and get these answers. Because they are choosing your shipping method and not letting you see your totals as a result of which form of shipping they chose. This is called bad business and complete disrespect to costumers Because I refuse to give them the control they feel they should have over my bank account and debit. If you have Prime with debit in their system beware, they will total all your shipping during your free trial and pull it out of your account without your permission. They can't do it with a gift card So that has a lot to do with why they want your debit cards. This organization has gotten so big that they don’t have to respect their customers wishes. The trust I had for Amazon is now gone. Financial transactions are no longer an option. In their eyes I don’t deserve to even have the most basic of questions answered. Amazon we are done.

I am having problems with the company Amazon is using to ship my products. They do not knock on the door. They throw the packages onto the porch. I have confronted the drivers, the shipping company and no way to contact Amazon about it if I'm not trying to return the shipment. At one time, the item inside was broke and I immediately got on Amazon's website and put in a complaint and a request to return the item. Request was denied at first with no reason given. I finally, after a couple of weeks, got a phone number. I called and it was picked up in the Philippines. The person apologized and promised that UPS would come by within 2 business days with a prepaid label to return the item. 3 days later, I call asking. They said sorry, they will take care of it.
The next day, I got an email denying the return. I call, again, "We are sorry. We will take care of this right away." The next day, request denied email again. Now, we are past 30 days and that is what they use as the reason. I contacted them again and asked for a supervisor. I explained everything that had been happening and how I no longer trusted "We will take care of this". He gave me a $5 credit to my account and asked me to ship back at my expense and then to email him a copy of the receipt and he would credit my account with whatever the receipt showed. I didn't believe him, but also, they were supposed to be giving me my money back. That never happened. They did credit my account for the cost of shipping, but instead of refunding the money, they put that as credit also.
I NO LONGER TRUST AMAZON. If I ever become a witness for a case against Amazon, guess who I'm not going to believe in the court case. I will side against Amazon 100% of the time. I reluctantly made another order. Last night, BOOM, The driver threw a big box onto my porch again. I found the shipping company's email and sent them a message. I get a return saying that they will process my customer order number and get back to me. I didn't give them a customer number. I doubt I'll get a response from them.
Oh, when confronting the driver the time before, he yelled back at me, "I didn't throw your box. This a ** thing, right?" I responded, "What does this have to do with race. I'm sitting in a well-insulated house and hear a loud BAM! If you just laid the box down, there is no way I could have heard anything. And why was the item inside broken?" His response, "That's your problem you racist MF" and left. What has this world come to. I'm the last person on this earth to care about race/color/gender/anything else. Amazon needs to have a way to handle these situations. I really don't want to do business with Amazon anymore...

I purchased the subject TracFone (Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro) for $99 on December 31. They said it was out of stock and they would send when available. Other sellers on Amazon said they were out of stock as well. Two days later the price went up to $149, still saying out of stock. All other sellers raised their prices but now they guarantee shipment in one to two days! So if all other sellers have the same TracFone, where is mine? My old TracFone cannot hold a charge and I need this new one by January 21 or I'll lose 800 minutes (they transfer minutes if you buy the new card within a year). It seems unethical to me. A week after Christmas their sales were low so they offered many products greatly reduced in price.

Over the years I have ordered a lot from Amazon without any problems that I can recall. In the last week, I have contacted Amazon customer service twice. Once for a billing issue and one for a shipping issue. The shipping issue really wasn't their problem, but both times they were accommodating and provided me with very satisfactory outcomes. I rarely call customer service for an issue, but when I do, I feel a sense of dread. If I ever do have to contact Amazon again, I know it won't be a dreadful experience, and it only alleviates any second thoughts I have about doing business with them. Thank you, Amazon.

Two-day delivery in Manhattan should be easy. It rarely happens anymore, if ever. Amazon is boosting their profits by cutting back on speed of delivery. Considering my experiences and the others I've read here, they are risking being seen as an increasingly unreliable vendor. Trust them with their new pantry or other food deliveries? Never. I am basically paying for TV and movies, not rapid deliveries. That's my conclusion and it is dangerous one for their company. Netflix is fine, as is Hulu. There is enough TV everywhere.

The "seller" may be fake like in my case and now I, a customer of Amazon and who trusted in the name, have to go through a lengthy process in order to receive my item/refund. Never Again!
Why are we all so ready to shop on Amazon with such a risk beats me. A third party? Really?!! This experience tells me not to trust in third party names like Amazon. Either deal directly with the seller and not with any third parties like Amazon who can't assure the items you order through their name arrives on time or at all. Why shop Amazon, then?

Dealing with multiple offices ordering through Amazon Business has been a nightmare. We were excited to find "pay by invoice" became available the end of 2017 only to discover it's not consistent; sometimes you can pay by invoice other times it is not offered at all because it depends on the seller. Then there is the payments and where they go. When our business setup the Amazon Credit line that included the mailing address. We just found out in the last 30 days some of our payments were to suppose to go to Seattle, WA and not Atlanta, GA.
On top of that the payments got REFUNDED for us to have to reprocess/resend payment to Seattle. Tell me why the payment couldn't have been electronically transferred within Amazon? This is the WORST company to deal with as a "business". Also found payments not getting applied correctly. Spent too much time getting it straightened out repeatedly. DO NOT OPEN AN AMAZON BUSINESS ACCOUNT! YOU WILL BE WEARY AND SORRY!

I am a Prime member. I have over past month ordered things on Amazon.com that have either not been delivered... been damaged and had to be reordered... or delivered somewhere else. It doesn't pay to have Prime. Yesterday I paid the extra money to have items delivered today. I get noticed it was out for delivery... no later than 9. I went to bed at 10 pm and still no items. I got up at midnight... looked at order status and said "delivered" well. I opened door... (disarmed alarm) and there was no package. I really needed the items as my pets are suffering from winter fleas... and now I have to find another way to get items. It will not be by Amazon.
My experience with Prime grocery has not been any better. I have received delivery of milk other day. Milk was leaking out bottom of bag. Many time items were not included. I have received milk containers without labels. Pizzas with torn wet packages. I can go on. It was wonderful service at first; but now I cannot say the same. The order number is of an item that says "delivered" but never come.

No other options were given, other than the assurance they "promised" this mistake would not happen again. Really? Amazon getting less and less loyal to their regular customers. First, what turned me off some time ago was when they started charging sales taxes. Luckily some sellers who sell through Amazon still don't, so I continued buying from them. Second, I absolutely hate when my packages are shipped through Amazon courier because there is no way to track it and I had my packages lost or stolen twice with them. Another thing is packaging. Even if I don't order frustration-free packaging, my items most of the time will have no protective packaging whatsoever. If an Amazon seller won't pack the item well, Amazon shipping center won't do any attempt to protect my order. Items are just thrown in a shipping box.
Nowadays I see that Amazon only concentrate on its Prime members. I have been a Prime member on a trial basis and on a long-term paid basis. And I can totally confirm that when you are a Prime customer your orders will ship really fast, sometimes even in less than 6 hours, and you'll get them delivered the next day or the day thereafter. But when you are regular customer, Amazon will not ship your orders for as long as over 10 days.
They will promise you a time window of delivery dates and they will not ship your orders until the day before the last promised date of delivery. And I have experienced these delays not once, so it's not a random, rare event, it's not just during holidays or bad weather. Amazon does it on a regular basis to its regular customers. If I want to wait for 14+ days for my item I too can order it directly from China, which I suspect what Amazon may be doing. Or maybe they are just so busy with their Prime customers, that they don't have enough people to fulfill non-Prime customers orders on time.

I've spent the entire day since 11 AM speaking with Amazon representatives regarding this issue. It was realized that the seller did not provide an accurate address to return the item and left out the suite number which is crucial. The seller proceeded to contact my personal email and sent a FedEx shipping label with the suite number - which a representative today frowned upon, requesting that all be through the Amazon messaging center or Amazon cannot view and back the customer. I was also informed by one Amazon representative that if I had indeed proceeded to use the FedEx slip, the Amazon guarantee would be voided. Then ENCOURAGED by another Amazon representative hours later to go ahead and use it to get the certificate back to the seller.
Once I informed the representative of the conversation I had with a previous Amazon rep, they said they would issue a new shipping slip identical to the one I used to send, we would have to wait for the package to be rerouted to me, then send it via UPS again and wait for the seller to receive. Truly putting my refund on hold until at least February due to the shipping delays. I contacted the Amazon Customer Complaint line and spoke with a representative that went ahead and called UPS directly - only to find out the package was delivered to the warehouse, but sat for 5 days and was never picked up by the seller. UPS then proceeded to send it to Seattle, Washington to an Amazon Center. The representative quickly had it rerouted to the appropriate address in New York and will arrive January 16th. As a faithful Amazon customer I am infuriated by this entire situation.
As a customer, I have done everything in my power to ensure the certificate is delivered to the seller. The ring was received by the seller, the certificate was being delivered to Amazon in Washington and an Amazon representative had it sent to the seller. It has been out of my hands. In conclusion, I have not been refunded and this issue has been ongoing for over a month. I don't have the ring, or the certificate. I should not be put at fault for the seller's unwillingness to pick up the package for 5 days, and providing an inaccurate return address.
From reading Amazon's A-Z guarantee, I would have believed this request would be not only granted, but be given a high priority seeing the length of time spent trying to send the package, the inaccuracy of the seller and their actions, and that I have been a Prime member since 2015 and an Amazon member since 2001. Also noting that I have been diligently trying to get the items to the seller since November. I am in disbelief that Amazon would treat their customers in this manner, especially seeing that the customer is not at fault. I sent this item back to the seller within 4 business days. Then the Certificate was requested by the seller and sent back within 20 business days. I don’t understand why my request has not been granted and I have not received my refund. I do not feel as if I should be the one reprimanded for the seller’s actions. Thanks.

Amazon.com. Trying to play God. Amazon has gift cards that can be purchased just about anywhere in the world and on just about any platform. I am a businessman that is constantly looking for deals that can help me increase my bottom line. So I came across this website, where you can buy “The friendliest company in the worlds” gift cards at a 10% discount. So I started my e-commerce business buying and selling to my now growing clientele (people trying to honestly patronize me) and then I ran into Amazon made trouble. It turns out that Amazon gift cards with Amazon clearly printed on them and with legitimate claim codes, do not always get honored. It is at some account specialist’s discretion to decide when they are valid or not (the friendliest company in the world indeed).
These so called specialists evidently have been given the express opportunity to play God with your money and there’s nothing you can do about it (shame on you Amazon). If you do not want your gift cards to be used as legal tender then why put them out there in the first place? Anyway, I collected some money from a client and purchased gift cards from a 3rd party, legitimate Amazon cards as I mentioned before, did the whole check thing on their website to ascertain the validity of the cards, paid for my cards and now proceeded to enter them into Amazon’s website, Cards accepted (woohoo), made my purchase as I normally do and have done numerous. My Item is awaiting shipment (woohoo, can’t wait to receive my clients iPhone X), go to sleep and wake up the next day, receive an email saying your account has been suspended, because you entered invalid gift cards, this has to be a bad dream surely.
I responded to the email asking God (sorry Amazon’s customer service) why they had chosen to cancel my order, credit my account with my clients $1400.00 trapped and then suspend (later close) my account. And God says to me “I am who I am” and I can do whatever I damn please, your account stays shut. One would expect that Amazon’s website would not be accepting invalid Amazon cards, but no, they do so deceivingly. (Loyal customer, prime member beware).
What do I tell my client now, how do I convince my client that I wasn’t mugged, but rather robbed in broad daylight by the friendliest company in the world!!! (Not even a sorry for the inconvenience, we have identified the invalid cards and taken them out). I wonder, do you harbor criminals and just assume every visitor to your site is a criminal? Earth’s most customer-centric company!!! (Indeed). Big shame on you Amazon, big shame! I want my account of 9 years opened back up and I want access to my money and deserve a right to place my order. Remove whatever invalid gift cards you see in my account and stop playing God. You are playing with people’s livelihood. Not cool.

I used to LOVE Amazon. Ask anybody. I touted their customer service to everyone I know. My husband said, "Yeah, but wait until they are the biggest with no competition and see what happens". Guess what? He was right. I've spent thousands of dollars as a member of Prime and whenever I've had a problem they always responded with "This is not the kind of problem we want our customers to have to deal with..." When I didn't receive my Prime 2-day Shipping items in the promised 2 days I was basically told "too bad". I was told that the 2 day promise no longer means that you can expect your item in two days but two days after it’s shipped, whenever that will be.
So for my Prime items that I needed quickly for an impromptu trip to Alaska that I ordered on Tuesday and expected on Thursday are not going to arrive until Monday! And there is no recompense for the inconvenience like there used to be. So, from now on, if I can buy it somewhere else, I will. So long, Amazon, I hope you continue to lose customers. I am telling everyone I know what kind of customer service they can expect from now on.

It was scheduled to arrive on December 26, but when it arrived it was damaged, so we refused delivery. We called Amazon and were told that the table was no longer available from the same seller, but was available from another seller. The representative suggested that she refund us the amount of the original table to Amazon credit, and then had us purchase the table from the second seller. The second seller page stated that the table would be delivered between Jan 5-10, which was disappointing as it was a Christmas present.
A few days after placing the order with the second seller, we were contacted by the seller and advised that the table would actually not be delivered until the end of January. This was unacceptable to us as the seller's page on Amazon clearly stated that the item would be delivered between Jan 5-10, so we canceled this order. When we once again contacted Amazon regarding the cancellation of this 2nd order and to request a refund, we were advised that we were not able to get a refund back to our credit card since we had purchased the 2nd table using Amazon credit.
We requested to speak to a supervisor and we were told that there was nothing else they could do for us even though we had made the original purchase on our credit card, and did not request to have the first refund issued in the form of a credit. I have spent many hours on the phone trying to get this situation resolved, but have been unsuccessful. As a result, my children do not have an air hockey table and we have an Amazon credit of over $900! I received a $200 gift card for Amazon from my work for Christmas. I am a dog groomer and my husband is currently unemployed so our finances have been very strained. I found this gift card a perfect opportunity to order the $300 pair of Andis cordless clippers I’ve had my eye on for sometime and it couldn’t have been better timing because my regular clippers are on their last leg so I’ve been stuck using my backups for a while.
I was excited when my item arrived earlier than the expected delivery date, but that excitement was very, very short lived. I opened the box to find that the cord that plugs the charging port into the wall was missing and the tape on the box had been removed and the items inside had been tampered with. I called Amazon and was met with no help. They told me because it was a 3rd party seller they couldn’t do anything and I would have to talk to the company it came from. They sent them an email and told me I would hear back in 24-48 hours.
Fast forward FIVE days and I finally heard back. The company I ordered from informed me that the item is out of stock and won’t be restocked until later this month and I could either send it back and wait for it to be restocked or send it back and get a refund which I wouldn’t receive until they got the package. So I’ve already waited 5 days. Now I get to choose if I want to wait another month to get a new pair or a week to get my money back so I can purchase a new pair. I sent the clippers back today for a refund and found out that Amazon doesn’t cover return shipping on 3rd party purchases so now I get to add $40 to the $300 I already spent and I still don’t have a clipper I can use! This is my livelihood and they could care less.
We called Amazon again and were met with the same “don’t care” attitude they are becoming famous for. I will NEVER shop from Amazon again and I advise you all to do the same. This company is all about the money and doesn’t seem to care who they screw over to make more. I know $340 doesn’t seem like a lot to the corporate scum at Amazon, but to someone like me who is supporting 2 people on one not so big income, it’s a car payment, or a month worth of groceries. To top it off this is the only platform I’ve found to complain on. They make it virtually impossible to give negative feedback.

Now I have to go through the trouble of returning a package I didn't order. Amazon said it was lost, Amazon sent another without me asking (they say I ordered on 12/27. I did not I simply inquired as to where the first one was - ridiculous and I will not be ordering from them again and have cancelled the prime membership. Thank you.

Purchased an oven through Amazon.com on November 26, 2018 with delivery promised by December 11, 2017. It didn't arrive as promised and it took weeks of repeated emails to get a response of any kind. Was re-promised that the shipment was made on December 27, 2017 and was given a tracking number that provided no online information. Contacted the trucking company by phone and was advised that the item was not in their possession. When Amazon customer service was contacted, all they would do is repeat the same process I had gone through a month earlier. Still no resolution and a lot more time wasted.

I noticed a $10.99 charge on my bank account. I called my bank to find it was for Amazon Prime membership. I do not order more than once or twice a year at the most from Amazon. I figured I would cancel it. I called to have it cancelled because I had no account with them. Things seemed fine. They said they would cancel the membership and refund the monthly membership fee. About a month passes and I notice a debit on my checking account for $107.17. I called my bank because there was no explanation of where it went. It was Amazon Prime taking $107.17 for membership a month after I cancelled the membership. I called Amazon Prime Membership Dept. at 1-888-280-4331, since I could not log into a account I never started or activated.
A woman answered the phone. She had a heavy Asian accent, difficult to understand. There was background noise like a wild party. There was screaming and laughing. She looked up the account, and seen where it had been canceled. She had no idea why I was being charged, or how to stop it. She said I would have to file a dispute with my bank. Be careful when ordering from Amazon. I figured my wife may have ordered something the first time and accidentally got signed up. I can understand that, and was willing to cancel at that point. They apparently will not let you cancel. You can not cancel this service without anything less than legal action.

Very unhappy with Amazon's behavior. Our coffee maker broke, so we found one we wanted on Amazon and placed an order on Dec 26th. Our new coffee maker was to arrive on Dec 28th. It did... But what we got was a USED coffee maker. It was just thrown in the box, no packing material, cord and parts loose and the water reservoir was cracked in multiple places. I contacted Amazon to have a replacement shipped ASAP and was told the new one would arrive on Dec 30th. When I received an email update the delivery date was stated as Jan 2nd?!?
Again, I contacted Amazon support and was told that they would contact UPS and have the coffee maker delivered by end of day Dec 30th. It did not arrive. So I contacted Amazon AGAIN and was told that the item would be delivered by end of day on Dec 31st. AGAIN... It was not and we are waiting for it to be delivered on Jan 2nd.
What is added frustration was to look at the UPS tracking and see that the coffee maker arrived at the UPS facility 20 minutes from our home on Friday, Dec 29th. It was then shipped 30 miles further away, before being shipped back to a location 5 miles from our house today. So the coffee maker has been in the area since Friday Dec 29th, but won't be delivered until Jan 2nd. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I am finding some legal action about it therefore in the meantime I request to all not to use this service.

I have been ordering from Amazon for years. Every year I order over 5 times per month. Their customer service is terrible. The only reason why I continued with them was the hope that they would improve with each feedback. To no avail. Recently they encouraged me to sign up for premium. Because of such a terrible track record they extended my free trial till November. I never received noticed that they would bill me Nov 1st. November 4th I was in an accident. Seem out of work. Still paying pills. Nov 10th another mess up by Amazon. Although I've continuously have told them to cancel my Prime they convince me to stay. Stating they will continue to give me free membership extended until Jan 1st. Well unbeknownst to me I had already been charged Nov 1st $10.00.
I email them last week about this and they tell me I have to call so they investigate. The representative assures me via email I was never charged. When I called to cancel yesterday Dec 31st and call them to dispute that I was in fact charged and I have proof and a screenshot I was then told "when were you promised this free extended membership?" Well the guy then "seeks" the email himself and repeats what he told me in the beginning of the call that they "would not be able to process the 10 dollar refund because the offer for the extended free trial" was given.
Following nov 1st which the 1st representative that extended it to Nov. never told me Nov 1st and my account was not alerted. and I continued to believe that my account was free when they messed up again and the customer service rep on Nov 10th told me they will "continue to extend free membership until Jan 1st" after I had said to please cancel, I did not want their business. In the past 3 months I have spent a little over 2,000 on Amazon purchases. I'm sure it's a lot more than that. With constant inconveniences leading me to call, be on the phone for hours with incoherent people. Products not arriving or arriving broken, wrong, etc. straight from their warehouse. Even issues with their Kindle Fire which I ordered 3 in the last 3 months. And they won't reimburse me my 10 dollars. Stay away from Amazon, Amazon Prime and anything affiliated with Amazon. Terrible service. They do not treat loyal customers well.

I would have given this saw a 4 if it had not been for the seller's fulfillment mistakes and the Amazon A to Z Guarantee Program policies. I purchase a refurbished saw for $128 ($140 w/ shipping); which is $60 less than I could a new one. VIPOUTLET was the seller. VIPOUTLET in their description said the saw had been inspected and was "Grade A, like new". The saw they sent me was missing the Quick Stand (worth $75), Rip Fence (worth $37) and anti kickback plate. Not sure if this was intentional or due to incompetence; highly unlikely these items were stolen out of the box. More likely the seller needed the parts for another customer.
I told VIPOUTLET I wanted to keep the saw and asked they offer a partial refund to cover the expense of buying replacements. Eventually after 1 hour with them on the phone they offered $64 which I could not accept. VIPOUTLET said to return the saw for refund which I refused because I needed it for a deck renovation. Long story short I've cancelled Prime--A to Z Guarantee program said I had to return the saw, else they would cancel my claim against the seller. I believe now that the A to Z Guarantee program supports the seller (first priority) and not the consumer. Why else did they say return the saw after I told them I did not want to return the $140 saw. I bought a new one from Home Depot for $199. Notice the Amazon return boxes in the background of the picture, smiling at sellers failure and after dumping on me. Saws, foreground, are from my Home Depot purchases, they do work!

Amazon used to abide by its promise of two day free shipping using Prime. I don't mind paying a bit extra for the product in exchange. However, the Amazon Prime annual rate went up and now shipping times have doubled or tripled, in some cases, yet they're still calling it 'Two Day Free Shipping' with Prime membership. In America, this is called FALSE ADVERTISING. They are blatantly doing this with absolutely no apology. I'm now doing most of my shopping elsewhere and am considering dropping Prime membership. It's sad when a company gets so big that their arrogance convinces them that they can defecate all over those that have made them big. I still have a voice with where I shop. So long Amazon. A little while back, when I realized how cold it was getting where I live and since my central air unit doesn't work- I ordered another space heater from Amazon.com. It is the same as the last one I ordered, except I needed this one ASAP due to much lower temps in our home. Specifically, it is the "Portable Space Heater, iSiLER 1500W Mini Ceramic Heater with Adjustable Thermostat, Hot & Cool Fan Indoor Heater with Overheating Protection for Table Desk Floor Office Home Use". A mouthful, I know.
Today, Amazon stated on the delivery status page for my order that this item WAS DELIVERED at 1:43 PM EST. It was not. Later, at both 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm (the original time Amazon said it would be delivered by was 8:00 pm)... Still the item had not been delivered. Now this has happened to me in the past, and yes I know that this info is probably based on the carrier's reports, but none of that is an adequate excuse when the people in my home need to stay warm. (We are disabled, so it isn't easy for me to go out and get a similar item from the store). I decided to contact customer service via chat, and I was connected with someone who could not understand what I was typing.
So I asked to speak with someone who was a native speaker rather than ESL. (There is nothing wrong with trying to obtain an effective means of communication) I was then connected with a supervisor - who, when I explained the problem in detail, continually offered me a refund or replacement. He completely ignored what I had described to him about the problem. I simply wanted the item, and for an Amazon representative to deal with the carrier if they were responsible. (Our local post office is notorious for mistakes and rudeness, so dealing with them directly as a customer is nearly impossible).
I realized I wasn't getting anywhere with that supervisor and ended the chat. Later, I called the phone support line. Another ESL, so I asked to be connected with a native speaker. They complied immediately. I was connected with a woman named "Kinette" or something similar to that - a US representative. She seemed like she was going to help, until she decided she didn't like my tone and falsely accused me of yelling at her. I have a witness and a phone recording that prove I didn't yell. She read her lazy coward script (I am familiar with this, having worked in customer service previously) to get out of the call, and hung up on me.
So today I have been lied to, ignored, lied about, and hung up on by Amazon.com employees. Excellent company you have there, Mr. Bezos. You know if I could afford a lawyer, some people might be singing a different tune pretty soon - but yeah, I think Amazon can probably afford a better one. It is too bad they can't afford to have people actually do their job and help the customers that made Amazon what it is today. I have been a customer since 2004 - longer than most of these reps have worked for Amazon... And I have spent at least a year of an Amazon.com customer service rep's salary on the site. But that affords me not even the most basic customer service or professionalism.
I understand that there are other choices in the world besides Amazon.com, so I will probably be looking into those soon. Enough is just enough, already. I encourage everyone to look around for alternative online shopping options, because Amazon simply does not care about the accuracy and timeliness of your orders. And if you attempt to display even the slightest displeasure about that in a phone discussion, an Amazon.com customer service employee will likely hang up on you. That is just disgusting... I can't even fathom it. I didn't use profanity or yell or anything like that. Yes, I was mad and I had a right to be after being lied to and disregarded previously. Any good customer service rep would have knuckled down and dealt with the issue. Again, I recommend looking for somewhere else to do your online retail shopping - if you can.

I have called my bank numerous times to check if the refund was processed because, but it has not. One representative even promised to call me back on December 20th to confirm the refund. I didn't hear from her.
Today, I called Amazon with my bank representative on three-way. They informed me that it was against their policy. I was placed on hold to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor NEVER picked up. The representative Michael (from overseas) then began to chastise me asking if I allowed someone to use my card. He said they didn't see the charge. I warned him that this would not happen as just 3 weeks ago I bought something which took money direct from my card. He escalated the matter to the specialist team and I spoke with Priyadharshini who said the same thing. He even promised to refund me if they would take my money. On Amazon.com, Barbie Dreamhouse had 3 different prices each on the 3 days I searched it, that is, $164, $200 by third-party seller (JM12Ventures), and finally $147. The day I ordered it on 12/10/2017 the Dreamhouse was for sell by third-party sellers only, at the cheapest price on that date of $200. I felt “vulnerable” and “pressured” to purchase it, thinking that demand had increased the price, that soon there would none left to purchase, and also that the deliver-by date was December 22, dangerously close to Christmas.
A few days later, checking the Dreamhouse again on Amazon, the price had dropped to $147 (not from a third-party seller). That's a $53 difference! I contacted the third-party seller who would not refund the difference -- I could return the product for a refund, but the 20% re-stocking fee rendered that action moot -- an unsatisfactory remedy. How can the pricing be different 3 times within a 5-7 day period? I contacted Amazon Customer Service who responded that they would “investigate” but could not provide the results of the investigation. Customer service is lacking and degrading the Amazon brand. We're keeping our Prime membership because of the films, e-books and music, but we seldom, if ever, order from them any longer. I have had one problem after the other with Amazon Prime Delivery. I do not understand why pay the $99 a year membership if you're not going to be getting your delivery on time, especially around the Holiday Season. Amazon has already messed up on 4 packages for me - one of them for my granddaughter's birthday, and the other 2 for Xmas gift giving.
When you call customer service, it is very difficult to get someone who speaks English clearly - just about everyone has a very heavy accent, which makes it difficult, and prolongs the conversation, because you have to keep repeating yourself very slowly. Then you hear a lot of apologies - and sorry for the inconvenience, and even though you get a refund, that does not compensate for the fact that you were put out of your way to go to the store to replace the items for gift giving, that never arrived. The whole purpose of being an Amazon Prime Member is to be able to shop for everything online and get everything within 2 days (no exceptions - unless indicated on the items you are ordering).
I am now seriously considering not renewing my membership - it's not worth the aggravation and the waste of time you have to devote to just get a refund or an apology. I have spent thousands, and thousands of dollars, and apparently Mr. Jeff Bezos doesn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. Amazon is slowing beginning to lose a lot of loyal customers, because of the lack of prompt delivery and poor customer service.

When you go to return a gift Amazon makes it very clear that the gift sender will not be notified and the rep I talked to even confirmed this. Lo and behold, several days later a credit for the gift had been issued to the gift sender's account which was personally horrifying to me. I contacted Amazon again and they apologized and told me that the credit had gone to the gift sender and didn't seem to understand what the problem was (both reps barely spoke English).
After a lengthy and slow series of communications the rep said she would remove funds from the gift sender's account and deposit them into my account. This was a shocking display of poor business ethics and I stated that I didn't think this was legal practice. I contacted 3 more reps after this and each one reassured me that I had already been credited even though I could see that my account balance was 0.00. It took a total of 2 weeks and 9 reps to resolve this issue. During this time the gift sender had been credited twice and reps did not have the ability to understand how gifts work or that I was the recipient, asking me repeatedly for the gift sender's home address and other account information (presumably so they could make the same mistake yet again and resume sending credits to the sender). It was chaos and I suggest you be very cautious if you want to return a gift to Amazon.

Another item didn't ship until 12/21 and this was only after I called AGAIN and was told my original pick was out of stock and I had to pick something else... note it WAS in stock on December 8th and I was never made aware between the time I ordered it and the time I called to check on why it hadn't shipped yet. The other 3 items were delivered to an incorrect address by UPS. Granted, it is not Amazon's fault that UPS delivered to the wrong address, but I strongly feel if the order would have been processed in a timely fashion instead of waiting so long to get the items out, UPS wouldn't have been in the Christmas last minute frenzy.
Every time I called customer service I was given a different story. I will NEVER order from Amazon again. When I call a customer service department I expect to get the truth and not a different story from every rep I talk to. I have been a prime member for years and make on average about 30+ orders a month through Amazon. I order everything from electronics to furniture to normal household staples. Amazon has been my go-to store of choice, but I have to say that their customer service is somewhat of an embarrassment and is rapidly degrading their image and brand recognition...at least in my eyes.
First of all, when you call you get routed overseas and are forced to speak with someone that reads off a script, doesn’t understand your problem, can’t articulate and worst of all has an attitude of indifference to your problem since after all they have nothing in common with you. After repeating your issue 3-4 times (sometimes more) and them taking their best guesses as to your issue and repeating it back to you until they get it right, you can finally move on to the next phase of the call.
Now this is where they put you on hold for 5 minutes (often longer) to research only to come back on the line and do their best to explain why they can’t help you. 80% of the time, and this never fails to astonish me, they will come back on the line and start talking about an issue that is completely different than what you both came to consensus 5-10 minutes earlier...they have completely forgotten your issue!!!
By this time you are so frustrated with the subpar service that you request to be transferred to someone in the states. Now this used to be the turning point where the call would improve, but now instead of transferring you they will hang up, leave you on hold for extremely long periods of time or flat out ignore your request and keep asking what your problem is like you never said a word about being transferred. I have even had them tell me that the US center was closed only to call back and find out otherwise.
So needless to say while I absolutely love shopping at Amazon I completely cringe if there is any indication that there might be an issue with an order that might force me to go through the gauntlet that is Amazon customer service. When will Amazon realize that this practice is hurting their reputation? People shop Amazon because of convenience. Shouldn’t that convenience extend to when they make a mistake and the customer needs it to be fixed? It makes me feel like they only care about making a sale and afterwards you are no longer a priority.

Just had the worst customer service ever from this company. I ordered 3 items from Amazon on Dec 16th. The 3 items were Prime items so I should have gotten them quickly. These items were going to be Christmas gifts for my husband. I inquired about my items through Amazon chat. I was told by Monica that my package was going out yesterday and she promised it would be at my home today by 1pm. I have the chat log to prove it. I love being lied to. They never showed up and when I inquired about them today the lady I chatted with Karthik confirmed that my package was not shipped and could not give me a time or date on when I would receive it.
I then was connected to her supervisor DON ** who also could not give me any information on what the hold up was. Don ** was going to put in "a ticket" and we should know in 24 to 48 hours about the status of my package. When I asked to be compensated I was offered a $5 credit. When I expressed how much of a joke that was the most he could offer was $10. I find it very irritating that I order my items in a timely fashion, I was lied to, and no one showed any compassion on my frustration. Even more upset that I still did not receive any answers. Amazon very disappointed in your customer service.

My wife and I have been customers of Amazon for an extremely long time and one of the first adopters of a Prime account as soon as it became available. At the time, Prime membership was outstanding. It was the only place where you could order online and receive a guaranteed delivery of your item within 2 days of ordering, and almost always at a discounted price. 2017 has been a nightmare, especially the holiday season. Now, I understand that the holiday season will naturally have a larger workload and the carriers such as USPS, UPS and Amazon's own delivery service are overloaded...
HOWEVER... This year, I purposely ordered on time, a week in advance, to account for UPS delays and natural shipping delays brought on by the overload. When Amazon's shipping is guaranteed at 2 days from the day of order (all my items fell under this category, none were listed as being delivered after Christmas), my items should have arrived 5 days before the big day. Instead, the majority of my items will arrive on the 26th or later. Completely unacceptable, especially when I pay for Prime and this kind of guarantee. Not only can I find the items at a lower cost on non-prime listings, but if the shipping time is a 5-7 days on standard shipping, why continue to pay for the guaranteed expedited shipping that comes with the paid Prime account?
The best analogy for this, is that of a competitive athlete or team. When do the best athletes and teams perform at their best? During a championship, when the stakes and the pressure is the highest. Champions rise to the occasion and follow through with the guarantees they make, they don't make excuses and they get the job done. This is why we pay good money to go watch professional athletes and teams perform in these conditions. What does the loser (2nd place) say? They make excuses..."We tried our best, but it wasn't our year." "We couldn't predict what they were doing and we tried to keep up..."
The holiday season is Amazon's "Championship", it's when the stakes are highest and the pressure is the greatest. At no time, did Amazon make any disclaimer stating that they are not honoring Prime delivery times during the holiday season. They maintained that they will deliver on time with guaranteed Prime shipping times throughout the season. Had they made a disclaimer, I would have known that I was taking my chances, but I was left to rely on them and not have any backup plan for gifting because I was relying on Amazon to follow through on the guarantee they make and the service I pay for. Unfortunately, all Amazon is doing is making Excuses. "We are doing our best..." "We are very sorry..." "I understand and I'm sorry your gift won't be there in time..." Amazon is sounding like the 2nd place team, not the Champion.
Likewise, Amazon has been completely off their game this holiday season as well. If you are going to make guarantees like that, then you have to be sure that the agents you hire to fulfill those guarantees are capable of doing so. Otherwise, the ultimate responsibility lies with Amazon for not following through. Again, similar to pro sports, when a team hires an athlete to do his job, and he fails to do so, he is either cut, benched or released in order to bring in another athlete who will follow through and get the job done. I have had a gift delivered to my house unboxed, with just a shipping label slapped on the outside of the box and both my Wife and my Son saw the gift before I got home, and the gift was for the both of them and now they know about it.
My wife ordered a set of stickers for my son's class for the holidays. The site clearly said that the set comes with 12 sets of stickers and 12 background sheets to use for the stickers. When the package arrived, it was 1 set of stickers and 1 background sheet. The answer she got from Amazon was that they can send her a shipping label to return it. This caused my wife to spend nearly 3 hours to come up with an alternate to send to his school for his classmates...time that would have been spent with our son if Amazon had followed through.
Not only has Amazon failed to deliver on their guarantee, which I pay good money for, but they have cost me time. I have had to rush around to get new gifts and replacement gifts, or attempt to get to the UPS depot (including wait time) to attempt to get my package. I have spent over 2 hours on the phone with Amazon, and my wife spent nearly an hour on the phone with them as well, along with the 3 hours spent re-creating my son's gifts for his classmates. That's roughly 8-10 hours of work that we've had to unnecessarily put in, all time lost with our family, and all time doing work that others should have done. No amount of refund or money can replace the time we lost with our son this holiday season.

The day it was due to be delivered I got an email that said the item had been returned to Amazon and that I would get a refund. I immediately called Amazon and said that I didn't want a refund, that I wanted the item. It was for Christmas. The Representative checked and said that Fed-Ex had damaged the item which is why it was returned, and that I should just reorder and Amazon would pay for expedited shipping. When I re-ordered, expedited shipping wasn't an option. The Rep said it was because it was large. She said she would contact the shipping and send it as urgent, and I would hear from them within 24 hrs.
I said, "Great, thank you very much." However, when I checked today the item hadn't shipped yet. I called Amazon right away (in the Philippines) to be told that there was no way to expedite shipping the item, even though the item was being shipped from a place one hour and ten minutes from my house. How do I tell a 7 & 9 year old that Santa forgot them??? The rep's apology doesn't help, because there is no way of fixing this unless the item is delivered. Amazon has become a joke. For a paid membership to get free 2 day shipping at $11 per month you're wasting about $10 per month. The customer service is a never ending circle of cluelessness. For every 3 orders you can expected 2 of them to be lost or not delivered on time. When you contact them they read from a script and barely speak any English. They have also recently allowed sellers to harass your email directly to solicit reviews which they have responded to me acknowledging is a direct violation of their privacy policy.
I urge all Prime members to cancel their membership and save themselves a headache. They have been arguing with me via email over a $24.99 refund that was for a defective product they received as a return 22 days ago. The original order was lost altogether and the second one was defective. I bought this using my credit card and after someone responded from the complaint department and promised the refund they supposedly refunded it to an expire card they had on file.
When I notified them they issued a refund to a expired card they told me to contact my bank. I contacted the bank and was told there was never any attempt to initiate a refund even to the expired card. I have now been emailing back and forth with the same person and been told multiple different stories with the most recent being that they misinformed me and never tried to refund me. STAY AWAY! Up until about 4 months ago Amazon used to deliver to me via UPS or FedEx. Then they started to alternate between UPS, FedEx or their Amazon branded delivery service. Now I live in a large apartment complex with 400+ units and 700+ residents. The front door locks when the office closes, which is typically 6 pm on weekdays.
About the same time Amazon added it's self branded delivery service my complex implemented LuxerOne. It's a shared locker system. It requires that delivery agents (UPS, FedEx, whomever) scan each package in order to gain entry and drop off the package. UPS and FedEx have no issue with this process. They deliver during normal business hours, so they have access to through the front door and they are smart enough to scan each and every package to gain access to the shared locker room. Doing this ensures that package was delivered, the resident (me) is notified and my signature, a photo and a video of me picking up my package is recorded.
Now let's talk about Amazon's branded delivery service. There are two types from what I can tell. There are trucks/drivers that actually work for Amazon and there are those who more like Lyft/Uber and deliver for Amazon. The Amazon drivers seem to understand the process. However, the 3rd party drivers for Amazon typically like to arrive after the office/door is locked. They always mark the package delivered if they can't make it in.
Sometimes they deliver the next day during business hours and other times they just leave the package at the front door for anyone to steal - remember 700+ residents. Now if they do arrive during business hours and they have more than one package to deliver, they typically only scan one package and drop them all off. When they do this, I don't get notified and have no code or way to get into the room. I have to ask the office staff to look for me and they then issue a code for me. Other times it seems the drivers just steal the package. It's really the luck of the draw.
Unfortunately, Amazon seems to be using these 3rd party for-hire drivers more and more. I've complained to Amazon multiple times and they don't get it and don't do anything. Tonight it happened again. This time no package anywhere. It's a few days before Christmas and the package was a Christmas gift for my nephew. What did Amazon do? 'We'll open an investigation and get back to you in about 72 hours.' Luckily Best Buy carries the item and I'm going to buy it there to make sure he has it for Christmas. I bring the subject up at work every so often.
My company competes with Amazon in a very specific industry and we kill them. I am the manager for the e-commerce website, so I know the business Amazon is in. Because we have local delivery trucks and fantastic customer support. Anything that is wrong we fix, even if it means hiring a taxi to deliver at 9 pm on a Saturday night. Amazon could learn a lot from my company and me. But of course they are way too big to care. A few thousand upset customers, thefts, lost packages, etc don't matter to their overall bottom line. I think they are so big now that they are starting to act like a Sears. This is a great opportunity for new and upcoming competitors.
Today we look back to what Sears was and it's ultimate demise (probably in the next year or so). Tomorrow we may referring to the once great Amazon in the same fashion. We all hear about how Amazon only hires the best of the best, has a performance review process that requires every manager to fire the lowest performing employees, etc.
Obviously this system isn't working as no one gets the delivery problem that is occurring in the Chicago area and likely in every location Amazon has chosen to use 3rd party drivers. Back at my company, I learned that every person I've talked with about Amazon has had a problem with delivery. One of my employees has all her packages left at the end of her driveway on a busy street for anyone to steal. Her neighbor is nice enough keep an eye out and go out to pick up the package and drop off to a more secluded location by her front door. This happens every time. My boss told me how she came how one evening and couldn't get into her driveway because Amazon had dropped off a larger heavy package into the driveway.
Ironically, the package wasn't hers. It was for a neighbor down the street. My boss struggled to pick up the package and put in her SUV. She drove it down the street to where it should have been delivered by Amazon and left if on the front porch (no one was home at the time). The stories go on and on. I did some thinking and research. As such I've decided to cancel (not renew) my Prime membership. I really don't need to throw away $99. Turns out the item that Amazon lost can be purchased at Best Buy for the same price as Amazon. Curious I did some more research, turns out Walmart, Best Buy and Target have gotten a lot more competitive and are very often matching Amazon's price.
Since Amazon charges sales tax, there's officially no incentive to pay Prime and wait 2 days for packages when I can stop by Walmart, Best Buy or Target and take home the same day, or buy from elsewhere for the same cost and get in 2-3 days without a membership fee in most cases. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future. I had been purchasing from Amazon since before anyone heard of them and this is the first time they have messed up badly with me (and apparently many others). Will more and more people get fed up with Amazon and figure out different avenues to purchase? Or will Amazon fix itself. Judging from their customer support, it seems more likely Amazon will someday end up a Sears.

So they cancelled and deleted like 15 items but she was still charged over $100 for products that were not ordered. There is no record of anything on her account because Amazon deleted everything. Now she can't return the items because there’s no record that it was ordered.
Then the man told her that her money would be refunded in 1-2 days and to discard the products. What? Automatically I knew she wasn't getting her money back and it's been well over 1-2 days. Be very aware. It's Christmas and no one should have to go through that. I know it doesnt mean much to Amazon but they will never get another dime of my family's money. I tried to find the order # on Amazon and it says that there was a problem with my account. So what is the issue with her refund. So now she's stuck with iPhone 7 plus products.

I bought some LED bulbs from a merchant in China who is selling them through Amazon.com. For over one month paid merchandise did not leave seller's warehouse, according to provided tracking history. When I contacted merchant they claimed that package got lost in shipping and they will ship another one. Surprisingly the very same tracking number started moving forward and I received them after 10 days. I placed another order and again story repeated. It looks like merchant deliberately holds shipping for over a months to be able to use money they got their hands on. This way, when your operations are in amount of thousands of dollars, you can still operate using somebody else's money being already bankrupted. Amazon's portion of money comes from merchant, so when you place negative review of merchants, Amazon refuses to post them, not to affect their profit bringing merchant business.

I live an hour away from stores so I use Amazon a lot. I am a Prime member. They used to be very good with customer service and their delivery service. In the last six months there is always a problem with the delivery. I have a post box and they keep saying there is a problem with the address. It don't seem like customer service cares anymore. I was suppose to get a gift card refund for an item that was shipped back due to delivery problems. The gift card refund was only suppose to take an hour to process. Three hours later and it still didn't process. I called Amazon and they said the gal never put in for a gift card refund for me. Oh great! If I didn't live so far away from stores I would cancel Prime and not order from them anymore!

I have been a customer of Amazon.com since 1996. I am no longer a customer. I was given a Amazon gift card and Amazon refuses to honor it unless I give them full access to my banking information. Hell to the **. They also demand a credit card on the account. There is nothing in the gift card redemption demanding this. Good riddance Amazon. Here's their response to that Washington AG regarding my complaint:
"I'm Manikanth of Amazon.com. I'm responding to Ms. Regina's subject matter complaint, and copying her for her reference. I understand Ms. Regina's concern regarding the gift card she wants to use to place the order. Please inform Ms. Regina that customers must update their valid credit card details in their Amazon account even though they have a gift card. This is due to account security reasons we ask the customer to add a credit card to their account. There is no option to place an order with gift card alone due to system restrictions. We don't actually charge customer's credit card if customer account has enough gift card balance to cover the order total. In case there are insufficient funds in customer's account the balance amount will be charged to CC. I hope this information is helpful. Please contact me directly by replying to this email if I can be of further assistance."

Since December 2016, I have had several purchases on Amazon that delay delivery WEEKS past the initial estimated delivery date because they are shipping from overseas and Amazon doesn't set standards for listings in this regards. Additionally, twice I have been notified BY AMAZON that something I bought was lost in shipping, do they automatically issue a refund? No! I guess they assume I don't mind giving them my money in return for something that never arrives! Instead, they have the most convoluted multi-multi-click process to try and get a refund! It's obvious that Amazon is great when it works... but if anything is out of the ordinary, they simply don't care once they have your money.

Unfortunately I cannot love Amazon. One year ago today I would have told you and all my family and friends that I truly do love Amazon and how wonderful it is. Today I'm here to let you know things aren't as they seem with Amazon, especially if you are a Prime subscriber. I have never had a package delay, damaged item, or missing item; until 6 months ago. First I should let you know that all the items I have had issues with were all Prime 2 day or even one day upgraded items.
Over the last 6 months I've had several damaged products, late deliveries (days late), as well as totally missing shipments. I contacted Amazon several times to see if we could fix the issue and get things back to the way they were when I first became a member. Sadly they cannot give you any help and only tell you they will forward your issues to the correct team and then offer to compensate you with a month of free Prime. My main issue seems to be that they will not take blame and try to correct any issues all they want to do is say sorry and compensate with Prime. I tried to get some type of resolution letting them know that I was not receiving the services I am paying for but have gotten no response. I will not be likely to shop at Amazon anymore until these issues are fixed.

I was contacted and my account was restored. I found it helpful to send a email to Jeff at Amazon. In fact I believe Amazon went too far to make things right. I have never seen a Company do what Amazon did to resolve my complaint. I feel really guilty for my previous review now. I plan to continue to use Amazon.com for myself and continue to fund my kids account to buy digital books. Again my previous review is me tuned up. Disregard. Amazon did right by me.

Went to make a separate account for one of my kids, and set up an allowance from my account into the newly created. Got locked out of my account, reset my password, tried again only to see the allowance go into my account and not my kids. Tried to buy a Amazon gift card for same amount, got locked out again, followed instructions to reset password. Over and over.
I have never had a account compromised in my life. I use Firefox with some useful add ons on Linux. I am tired of the Mickey Mouse games. I don't understand Jamaican English in customer service, also customer service does not have any answer, or the number I can call for "accounts". What a joke. So now what? Just bought a Oasis for my kid, should I return it? Then delete Amazon account. This Mickey Mouse ** infuriates me. PayPal did the same "security compromise" game, and guess what? I tried to purchase a Class "C" RV Cover for my motorhome in early November. It took over 3 weeks for delivery. When it arrived, it was the wrong cover. The cover they shipped me was for a Travel Trailer, not a Class "C" motorhome. I contacted Amazon and they had me RMA the cover and reorder. After another 3 weeks, I received the second cover, and again it was the wrong cover. It was another Travel Trailer cover.
So I requested a refund. I did get a full refund, but they split it into two refunds, labeling one them as a "Goodwill Refund"! I can't think of any "Goodwill" Amazon provided me with during this attempted purchase. After all, I was the one the spent the time, effort, material, and money to re-box and re-ship the wrong covers they sent me. Both Amazon and I checked the description of the item on their website, and it clearly states the RV cover I was ordering was for a Class "C" motorhome, but somewhere along the line, they kept sending me the wrong cover. It is now mid December and I have to now look elsewhere for a cover to help protect it from the elements. Amazon, I am extremely disappointed in your company! You used to be great!

In two weeks Amazon has been unable to deliver my exercise bike which I ordered as a Xmas present for my wife. They essentially lost the bike in shipping because they coded it wrong. I ordered the bike the first and they kept changing the shipping date, pushing it back until they cancelled the order after I made 6 hours of phone calls to them (during two weeks). The best they could do is have me replace the order twice, although there is no likelihood that they will deliver it before Xmas.
Amazon is unable to ship my bike by Xmas although I ordered it December 1 and they advertised that it would ship out in 3 to 4 days. They totally messed up my order and appear unable to deliver my bike that I ordered two weeks ago. Amazon's incompetence in this instance is unforgivable. They should find a way to deliver my purchase instead of making empty apologies. Thanks to Amazon I have lost the opportunity to order the bike somewhere else at a reasonable price. They don't care and they don't do anything nor do they assist you with refunds. Nothing.
I have found out that there are so many of the same complaints. And they even legitimate manufacturers are no longer selling their products on Amazon platform because of all the fraud and fake copiers of their products. I bought 2 different orders, from different departments and got broken, and defective merchandise and Amazon did nothing, and... I found out that Amazon does NOT VET OR DO ANY SECURITY CHECKS of suppliers signing up, and scamming American consumers.
They don't care... And they do not check vendors nor the products they are posting online, for so many years. We have grown naively accustomed to believe the MYTH that Amazon because they were so big, was a legitimate, honest company. Well, that is not the truth. Upon ordering the items before checking out I got a notification that a signature was required upon delivery. That gave me comfort, knowing that if no one is home the items would not be left at the door. Given the cost of the items ($615) this was important as I wouldn't want the items to be left at the door. The items was to be delivered on 3 December 2017, however no package was delivered. The delivery status showed delivered and that it was left near the front door. However, no package was found.
I contact customer service on Sunday 3 Dec and I was told to give 24 hours and if not received to make contact again. I contacted them again on 5 Dec and was told that 72 hours was needed to bring resolution to the issue. I made contact again on 9 December. I outlined the issue that the items were not received and was told "Based on these investigation results, we will not be able to provide a replacement/refund for this order at this time. We recommend that you reach out to your local police to pursue this matter further. If the issue isn't resolved after contacting local police, please contact us back with the police crime report number and details of the station where the incident was reported. Without the police report, we're unable to take further action" (taken directly from the chat transcript).
I then indicated that I was told that the items required a signature and no one was home so the items should not have been left. A notice from the courier service should have been left to indicate they came and let us know where to pick up the items. I was then told that "Amazon.com is not able to resolve shipping problems after delivery, as outlined online in our Conditions of Use, noted under 'Risk of Loss' which states: "All items purchased from Amazon.com are made pursuant to a shipment contract". This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. We advise you to contact [CARRIER] as well as your local authorities if necessary in order to pursue this matter further.
"If the issue isn't resolved after contacting local law enforcement and the carrier, please contact us with the URL to the online police report regarding this incident or a police report number regarding this incident and the name of the related police department. Without the police report, we're unable to take further action." I indicated that I do not live in the USA and I was leaving in a short time, I only reminded them that the problem is as a result of the negligence of the carrier used as they should not have left the package if no one was there to sign for it.
I was then told that I would need to contact the carrier. I told them that wasn't my responsibility. I asked to speak to a manager and was initially told that they work with the same script so whoever I talk with will tell me the same thing he is saying. I told him I didn't care I still wanted to speak to a manager. I was connected to a team leader, and yes he basically told me the same thing. My problem is, I shouldn't have to be the one to contact the police and the carrier as it was Amazon negligence that led to the package either wasn't delivered or was stolen from the front door. I later read a number of the complaints about Amazon and realized that this is a common complaint that is made, if they choose a delivery company that don't take care to ensure the packages are left in a safe area that it shouldn't be the loss to the customers.

After waiting and recontacting Amazon they said that I should wait another 72 hours and wait for the investigation to be over and I said I wasn't going to wait another 72 hours and at that point this representative said that the 72 hours were indeed over and that I should file a police report instead and get back to them on the case number about a package being stolen, however I told them the package issue may have been stolen but the fact of the matter is that it was a forged signature by the carrier. When you get the message guaranteeing a certain delivery date, most of the time, you can ignore it, it is a lie. "Order within the next 3 hours and 16 minutes for a guaranteed delivery on Dec. 8" is pure BS. It is 12/9 and the new date is 12/11. So, my package is not only NOT Prime, it is just plain old regular delivery. Talking to customer service is a joke because you end up in India unless you force them to allow you to speak to a rep in the US (Yes you can ask to speak to someone in the US). They offer an extension of one month free on Prime ($9) but do not resolve the issue.
I am to the point that the delay in shipping, the hassle with overseas customer service, the general inability to resolve issues and the false apologies and concern is going to force me to go back to shopping at local stores even if I pay more. My son and I live next door to each other. Both of these incidents occurred November 2017. The other day, it looked like someone gave him a yard job. Turns out that the private service that Amazon uses for delivery decided to depart his driveway, drive up the sidewalk, stopped at the front door (in the yard), delivered the package on the doorstep, then made a giant circle through the yard to get back to the driveway to exit. It had just rained a bunch and he'd just planted grass. This delivery person sunk in the yard and left quite a mess. Apparently, the Amazon driver thought it was too far to stop in the driveway and walk the package to the door! A call to Amazon confirmed the problem. We sent them pictures and they said to repair it and send them the bill.
Two weeks later, my wife was out front and noticed a strange unmarked mini-van pulling into my son's driveway. An older ** woman was behind the wheel. Apparently, she wasn't good at backing out of driveways. His driveway is about a 150 feet long and 18 feet wide. So instead of backing out of the driveway, she does an 18 point turn so she could pull straight out. (I'm thinking this is the same woman who pulled the yard job and Amazon kept her on...) She then drives over to our house and pulls up the driveway. Hmmm, must have been the wrong address? Anyway, our driveway is the same dimensions as my son's. This mini-van was loaded with kids and there was a young man in dreads that got out of the passenger door, never said anything to my wife, walked to the back of the van and opened the hatch.
My wife was a little frightened at this point. Who was this? Why didn't they say anything? What was that man getting out of the back of the van? Was I in danger? He then retrieves the package, walks it to the door, doesn't say a word to my wife, turns around and heads back to the van. The old woman then proceeded to do another 18 point turn around in our driveway to exit. I'm not sure how much they saved by hiring this kind of crew, but it's apparent that they don't vet their drivers. None of the vehicles are marked. They may or may not set rules of who can be with them when they deliver, and there's apparently no decorum in their training program. They're frightening their clients, trashing property and God knows what else. The yard job will cost Amazon between $600 and $800 to repair after smoothing out the ruts and planting grass seed. Let Amazon know your frustration!

I understand buying things on websites like Amazon allows you to look at reviews and make informed decision but I had more than one encounter in which I discovered reviews of items are fake. Some items' first 2-3 page of reviews has all 5 stars. It looks awesome but wait until you see all these reviews were written in 2 days and they sound similar.
There's one item I was looking at that 5-star reviews are about the product and 4 and 3-star reviews are about a complete different product. What in the world... like they merged reviews or something. Don't be deceived. Return is a pain on the ass. It takes several days to ship back then Amazon says it has up to 2 weeks after the receipt to issue you a refund. Look how much time is involved with this process; it's endless waiting. On September 11th this year, an 18 wheeler Amazon Prime truck saw that there was a low clearance bridge ahead, and as a result turned into our neighborhood to avoid going through. When he turned on to the nearest street to then take another turn onto ours, he snapped the telephone pole in half which then ripped the power lines off of our house. I ran outside after hearing the noise to see the debris he left behind. The power lines were lying in our driveway and in the middle of the road. I watched car after car drive over them as I called the police in a panic. The police did a very good job determining that it was indeed an Amazon truck and formulated a detailed police report. The police found the driver's truck, but he was missing. We had to have electrical work done, lost all of our food from 24 hours of no power, and our neighbor had damage to his fence, car, and garage roof.
We presented our report and complaint to Amazon. They had us put in a ticket. We were set back about $1000 from this accident. My husband called numerous times, and they would then in turn reply that they would call back. It took 2 and a half months for them to reimburse us for the damage their driver had done, after several stressful calls and follow ups on our end. Not to mention, it was a very tight couple of months financially as this was extremely unpredictable. My husband and I felt that Amazon was slow to move, and not apologetic by any means. This all happened while having a 13 month old baby and a second one on the way, leaving us with little food to feed her and myself.
Even though they did eventually provide the money we lost, I feel it is important to share how Amazon portrayed a lack of empathy and unprofessionalism when coming to a more crucial issue than a product order. They are lucky nothing more serious happened with the power lines lying in our driveway and in the middle of the road. Amazon claimed that they use a third party company for their drivers and that they did not know who the driver was, which I find extremely unorganized and idiotic to not have the knowledge of who is representing their company and delivering their packages. Needless to say, while I was previously a Prime member and huge fan of Amazon, I now have a bad taste in my mouth for how they handled our situation.

I PRE-ORDERED MANY ITEMS AND ALL THEM THIS YEAR WERE NOT DELIVERED ON THE RELEASE DATE. I got them from 1-3 weeks later. When I call up the reps when I don't get my item on the release date they all tell me "The release date is the day Amazon can ship the item". I highly recommend going elsewhere if you want your item on this release date! I will still buy from them but if I want my item the day it is released I go elsewhere.

I purchased a product from Amazon (Car Mats). On the next day after the purchase I tried to cancel the order (since it wasn't shipped yet) and a cancellation was not available online, only a cancellation request was available which I requested. The next day I called the customer service of Amazon and they said to wait for the product to arrive and proceed to a normal return instead. I waited several days for the product to arrive and upon arriving I was not able to return because the product was delivered in two different packages and only ONE return label was provided by Amazon.com, so the UPS would not accept the packages.
I called Amazon.com 6 times and I was not helped or provided the right amount of return labels to return the product. After several days calling their customer service reps I decided to call my credit card company and dispute the charges which I am doing now. I had an extreme poor experience with Amazon. Also I tried to do a product review and the review was declined as well which tells me that Amazon.com controls the reviews of their products as well. This is not the first time I had a hard time to return products to this company.

Customer service wants me to mail three huge boxes back to them to get replacement or refund. Not only inconveniences me but costs money to buy the box and get to their drop off. From now on after many years I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Very disappointed as a stockholder and a avid user of Amazon that they have also become very political. The Alexa is a very liberal device. Not happy and would never own one and makes me wonder if I should continue to support a company that plays politics. The one question that made me throw my Alexa out was about Jesus Christ. According to Alexa he is a "fictional character." To someone who has seen Jesus' work this is ignorance at it's best and very disappointing. Not saying they need to have Alexa "believe" but a better way to handle it would be that of Siri where she gives a definition of Jesus Christ as seen by Christians. No need to be political.

I placed this order from Amazon because I was about out of dog food and the page said delivery was guaranteed in two days ("Want it Tuesday, December 5? Order within 3 hrs 3 min and choose Two-Day Shipping at checkout"). Other sellers were offering it for less but it would take longer to ship, so I went with Amazon and two-day delivery.
On the day the order was to arrive, I received a message stating it would be delayed. I called Amazon and was told that the "Want it Tuesday, December 5? Order within 3 hrs 3 min and choose Two-Day Shipping at checkout" message is basically a lie. There's no guarantee. The two days starts from the time the product is shipped, not when you order it, as the "Want it Tuesday, December 5? Order within 3 hrs 3 min and choose Two-Day Shipping at checkout" implies. The Amazon rep from India (she wasn't from the U.S., nor was the second person I spoke with. Amazon, you make a lot of money from the U.S. market, how about you hire U.S. citizens, or would that cut into your profit margin too much?) said the order wasn't shipped until Monday, 12/4 so technically wouldn't be late until after 12/6. The product page guaranteed delivery on 12/5. Guess they have a different definition of 'guarantee'.
If I'd known the "Want it Tuesday, December 5? Order within 3 hrs 3 min and choose Two-Day Shipping at checkout" message was a misleading lie, I would have gone to a pet store or ordered from another seller selling it cheaper. Since my dog needs to eat, and this order will not arrive in time, I've cancelled it and am going to the pet store anyway.
I've been an Amazon customer for a very long time. I've been a Prime member and place quite a few orders with Amazon every year. That will be changing. I will not be renewing my Prime membership and will be looking at alternative companies to do business with. Any other order and I wouldn't care so much if it was late, but my dog is nearly out of food and I was counting on the shipment arriving on the day Amazon guaranteed it would. Amazon is no different than any other corporation that jerks customers around and makes false promises. I'm sick of corporate America and the games they play.

WAS! An avid shopper but no more. Amazon has a legal scam. All they have to do is overcharge you and says, "Oops we made an error." I purchase a few items in October 18 2017 and they double dip my account. On receiving my order one item I did not like. I sent it back the next day. I received a confirmation they got the item back in perfect shape. After many many hours on the phone and being told over and over it will take 10 days to got my money back. It is now December 5 2017 and I have not gotten my money back! Do the math. Overcharge a 100 customers a day for a $100 = a lot of interest in the old bank account. Again I say Buyer Beware! From now on I'm getting off my lazy ** up and doing my shopping at Mom & Pop stores.

Been on the phone with Amazon about a incorrectly packaged and damaged goods. They refuse to work with me to replace the items, insisting I send them back #10 cans of food which are damaged and can no longer survive long term food storage needs. After almost 5 hours on the phone with them, I gave up and wrote investor relations a e-mail stating that I'd be buying one share of their stock which entitles me to attend the share-holders' meetings. According to parliamentary procedure a shareholder is not only entitled to attend share-holders' meetings, but is also entitled to bring up new business. So I shall.
I will bring up new business and detail/delineate their exceedingly poor customer service. This action with the hopes that equities analysts and portfolio managers who are thinking about buying the stock will see what a big risk it is to purchase this stock and not do so. My intention is to create a stir in the public relations area for which there will be no escape for them. This way, Amazon suffers with their bottom line, which is indeed all they really care about - not the consumer.
I hope that anyone who reads this will indeed follow my example and join me at future stockholders' meetings to ensure Amazon suffers the loss of profitability which they hold up as a shining example. Only to show them, they are not a "customer-centric" company that they claim to be. Again - join me in this quest to ensure Amazon hears this message loud and clear that consumers are their customers and that the customer is not happy. Mr. Bezos - are you listening yet?

Amazon Logistics is terrible. 3 attempted deliveries and your order is returned back to Amazon and you're refunded. They attempted delivery to a business address 3x in 3 days after business hours including on a Sunday when many businesses are closed despite my efforts at speaking with 3 Amazon Logistics Customer Service Representatives and a Manager to tell them to only attempt delivery within proper business hours; my requests fell on deaf ears because for some strange reason the only way you can communicate with your 3rd party delivery vendor partners is through email and not phone call??? Consequently, my newborn niece and 4 year old nephew were not able to receive their gifts in time and made me look rather terrible and humiliated. The order fell off my credit card account / was never charged and the items were not delivered. I will never shop at Amazon again and will be sure to share this experience with all of social media and family and friends.

10 years ago I used Amazon to buy a TV online. When it arrived the screen was shattered. Amazon would not refund my money to my card because they said it was a 3rd party seller. It took a big effort to get the charge taken off. I swore I'd never use them again. But, recently I decided to give them another chance. I went online last weekend during Cyber Weekend and got what I thought was a great deal. $110.99 is what I paid for a "#Keter Rockwood Plastic Deck Storage Container Box Outdoor Patio Garden Furniture 150 Gal, Brown". I ended up buying a bunch of other stuff at regular price while on their site.
Well... a week later I get an email stating the Keter Storage Container is out of stock and they won't now honor the price I bought it for and that I could now purchase it for the regular price of $189 from other vendors. Surprisingly all the items I bought at regular price are available & being delivered. This is BAIT AND SWITCH. I spoke to a customer service manager at Amazon who basically told me, "Too bad". Once again, I'll never use Amazon again!

I ordered a lot of items for our baby registry on Amazon, they arrived in 3 separate packages. One of the packages was supposed to be delivered on 11/25/2017, it never was delivered, even though Amazon sent me an email saying it was delivered. I called Amazon on 12/2/2017 asking about the lost package. The representative Rayon ** said will reorder 3 of seven items that were supposed to be delivered, and refund 4 other items. However, when I tried to order the same items again, I noticed I ordered the original 7 items in the lost package on 15% completion discount on the registry, there now was a price difference of $6.12 and also based on Amazon policy, if an item was not delivered as promised, the customer was supposed to get a month free Prime Membership. I was never offered the free Prime membership for a month.
So I called Amazon again, the representative was very slow and not helpful and she promised to send me an email for refund for $6.12 and a month of free membership for Prime, she never did. When I tried to purchase the items on the same day 5 hours later, one of the items Diaper Bag 12 pocket price jumped from $25.99 to $37.99, making the difference in price $19.17. This representative Quincy ** processed a refund of $20 and sent me a confirmation email, however when I went to purchase on Amazon for the 4 items, there was no refund at all on my account!! So I had to call Amazon customer service the 3rd time in one day, the representative then said, “We can do investigation with the carrier to find out what happened to package,” I was like, “Amazon's own policy is if not received items 36 hours past delivery date, a full refund should be ordered,” I was surprised this rep did not know her own company's policy.
She has no idea if the last representative Quincy ** refunded the $20 into the credit card I used to purchase the items originally or refunded into gift card, I tell her there is absolutely nothing in my Amazon account, $0 refund. This representative Jennemi, then after 33 minutes of "investigation" said she can only give me a refund of $42, which is not even the amount I originally paid with 15% discount. What a joke this customer service is. Meanwhile, I think this is very unprofessional of Amazon customer service, while you are talking to the rep, there are a lot of people laughing and talking in the background, this is not professional at all.
I don't care how big a company is, standards for training and professionalism should be maintained, o/w you will lose customers. Amazon is definitely going downhill, one of their outsourced deliverers even tried to peek into our house, good thing we had surveillance cameras at our front door, so we let Amazon know to hire professional deliverers.

When Amazon became the EA of online shopping... Let us get this straight. EA has pretty much been voted the worse company in America several times over. Ranks right up there with Bank of America. AMZL is going to be the point we look back and realize Amazon deserves to be on that list now. AMZL has horrible training for deliveries. It is basically UBER for package drop off (but no accountability because no ranking system, no tip interest, nothing but box checking). You get a smartphone app and throw boxes in the back of your car then drive around.
They do not care if you are at home. They do not care what happens to that package. All that care about is checking a box saying done so they can get paid. I have come home to a box thrown in my apartment parking lot. I have come home to it sitting in front of the wrong door. I have had people around me drop off the box to me saying it was delivered to them. I even saw the guy throwing one of the boxes in the dumpster at the complex. Likely because it was on floor 3 and he didnt feel like walking it.
Now these things I could overlook if I had an option. What is that option? To refuse to have them deliver my packages. But does Amazon allow this? No. If I could tell them I want FedEx or UPS or even, yes, USPS then I would continue to shop here. But they refuse to allow that. Because they know this is a shotty delivery service and thus it is cheaper on their end. I WOULD PAY MORE for better shipping. YES I WOULD PAY MORE IF IT WAS AN OPTION! But they don't let that happen. They want to force this AMZL down your throat.
Just remember everyone. I loved Amazon. I have spend thousands of dollars there last year alone. But it is over. Package delivery times have gone terrible. Lost packages increased. Almost every package requires a claim/reship/refund to get into my hands. No. It's over for Amazon until they ditch this absolutely horrible shipping company from their lists or at least give me an option to BLACKLIST them as an option. The Walmart service is far worse. The options aren't as high. The prices aren't as competitive. But at least I can have professional delivery drivers drop it off at my house and can follow instructions. That can make their times. That care that the package is delivered and not some fly by night damn near criminal deliver service known as AMZL.

I am so done with this overblown company. My biggest con was delivery and lost items and all the BS. No thanks. I’ll go back to eBay as I never had a problem there. And brick and mortar. Hate giving my money to a company and wait and wait and excuse for not getting due to driver neglect.
Can’t afford to go through having to wait for refunds and reorder and wait more. Why would anyone do that when you can buy and take with you. Done! Change and maybe I'll come back. So upset cause I loved ordering here but of course it always blows up in my face. Too many mistakes in last 2 months. 4 deliveries screwed up. I’ve been a Prime member for years and have never had an issue with delivery until recently when Amazon started implementing their own delivery service. The driver kept delivering my packages to my neighbor’s house so I contacted Amazon and commented in the nicest way I could. Ever since my complaint, if it could be called that, my packages that ship via Amazon delivery are suddenly “lost” every time or will show as “out for delivery” but never arrives. The Amazon app has a new feature that shows where their delivery driver is so I’ve actually seen that the driver is within minutes of my house yet still my package never arrived that day. My latest debacle, and the last order I’ll make with Amazon, is that my order was 2 days late yet showed it had been out for delivery both days.
I contacted Amazon via email about my order status. I never heard back yet suddenly my order was shown as “delayed due to customer request”, meaning I must’ve asked them to hold the package to deliver at a later date which I had not. When I inquired yet again what was going on and asked for delivery of my package, it was further delayed and somehow didn’t make it onto the truck for delivery the following morning. After 5 days of this, my order now showed that it had been sent to the wrong facility even though it had been at the correct facility and out on a truck on multiple days for delivery. My last complaint ended up with them actually cancelling my order without any kind of any inquiry or communication from customer service!! Unbelievable!
Throughout this, I never once had customer service respond or follow up or anything, which is so far removed from any previous experience I’ve had with Amazon. I can’t help but think that delivery inquiries are forwarded to and dealt with by the local Amazon delivery depot as I’ve always received prompt and pleasant responses back from Amazon for any other issues I’ve had in the past (prior to Amazon delivery service). My local delivery depot must be full of unprofessional people who easily get offended by a customer simply asking to deliver their package to the right house. I’m floored by this last incident; Amazon just canceled my package without ever trying to contact me. My family members and I spend a lot of money with Amazon but apparently my local delivery folks have been offended by what should have never been anything offensive. My business has already been taken elsewhere. What a shame.

So, I ordered a new Camera on Cyber Monday from Amazon. I Was super excited, I had done tons of research, and chose to wait until Cyber Monday to make my order. I'm a Prime member so when I had the option to choose my shipping method I didn't choose next day shipping because I saw that my package would be delivered with plenty of time for the wedding I am supposed to shoot video for. Almost immediately the delivery dates changed, the first time it changed was scary, the info I had said it wouldn't arrive until the following Monday, after the wedding, but that was updated to Friday. Scary but acceptable. Fast Forward to 6:30am this morning when I received a notification that my package had been delayed. What! Well I immediately contacted customer service and started inquiry into what was the holdup.
Over the next hour, I was transferred between 3-4 different customer service reps. By the end of that session I had been told that my package would be taken care of and that I had nothing to worry about. Fast forward to about 10:30am when I receive another notification that my package would not be delivered until Monday! Monday?!?! Again? Well that prompted my second session with customer service. Only had to deal with one rep this time. He told me that all the reps I spoke to during the previous session, would have disciplinary reprimands filed against them, then proceeded to assure me that he would he would stay in contact with the carrier to ensure that I receive my package on time. Fast forward to 3:00pm and I don't see any updates to the previous status of rescheduled for Monday delivery, so I start the third session with customer service (which I'm in the middle of as I write this).
I speak to the rep and tell her I will wait for confirmation this time and not take her word that it would be resolved. Well that wasn't what she was hoping for. She put me on hold, checked back with me multiple times then at one point suggested that I try to buy the camera locally and they could refund me for my Amazon order. Seriously? So all my research and diligent work, and patience was for what?
Well at that point I told her that that wasn't about to happen and that I was more than willing to wait on hold with her until the situation was resolved to my satisfaction, OMG you could hear it in her voice, how disappointed she was that I wasn't buying the runaround anymore. After that I didn't hear anything maybe 15 min until she could pass me along to the UPS rep (on hold currently). So My complaint isn't really about the delivery, but about the absolute lack of professionalism and outright lies from Amazon customer service. I will still continue to patronize Amazon, but only for very basic items, never for anything of major value, and I will never ever order anything from Amazon that I need in an expeditious manner.

I have 4 children, 2 from my first marriage, and their father and I try to be equally involved in their lives, including holidays, so when they want something in particular for Christmas we will often each buy one, so that they are from both of us. Well this year they, along with my older son from my current marriage, want a Nerf Dude Perfect Bow and Arrow. I found them on sale on amazon.com and my ex-husband gave me the money for the one he was purchasing and I proceeded to try to buy 3. There turned out to be a quantity limit, so I bought my 2 and he bought the one for our older son on his Amazon account. The next day Amazon cancelled his order, because he has it shipped to my home (because that is where our son lives).
First we tried to just buy another, not completely concerned with getting it on sale, but now they were selling for $200-$1200 each, when originally they were $60. I called Amazon and explained the situation, that we are divorced and my ex-husband was buying it as a gift for our son and having it shipped here, but they refuse to honor the order. We explained if they had called before cancelling or even cancelled the order that day, so we could have changed the shipping address we wouldn't be in this predicament, but now we are left with 2 bows for 3 little boys who want them desperately for Christmas. I am beyond disappointed with #Amazon.

I am not a fan of Amazon, not anymore. Long story short. During Black Friday sales I purchased a Kindle HD 10" for $99 and I selected the 5 month payment plan. I received an acknowledgement email from Amazon confirming the terms and price of the sale. Instead of billing my bank account for the first installment payment, Amazon billed me and charged my bank for the total amount of the sale. I didn't plan for that so I didn't have the money in the bank account. In order for me to avoid an NSF charge my bank rejected the charge. The sale was by then over and I would have to pay $149 instead of $99 all because of the Amazon error. I spoke with at least 4 individuals and I had to explain my problem each time. In fact, I was hung up on 2 times. Do you think that I got screwed by Amazon?

Amazon has gotten so bad on deliveries, so many packages are "delayed" at some point and I hate that they give your address to random people to deliver things to your home! Some random guy in a regular car brought the package below, totally opened, and left it on my porch!!! So creepy!!!

When I cant find it at a certain price elsewhere I buy on Amazon. I had over 192 reviews of items and just logged into buy 2 items and noticed I cant review anything I bought? When I went to click on a link for product review it said this "Amazon doesnt permit reviews from customers whose relationship to the product or seller may be perceived as biased"??? Really they would say that? All of the items I have purchased I clearly wrote a decent review of and use the products at home. So I emailed Amazon asking them why I couldnt review an item and also asked what happened to the other items I have purchased and reviewed. Anyone else lose their reviews too?

I came home to find two packages opened and empty. The items had been stolen from my front door. Amazon's negligent driver did not follow instructions clearly labeled on my front door to deliver next door. When I contacted Amazon all they said was to file a complaint with the local authorities so they can investigate and call them back in 72 hours!!! Do you really think the police with all their problems would investigate something like this. Really? How awful their customer service. I have a been a customer for 10 years and purchase a lot from them. No more!!!

I am so sick and tired when I call customer service for Amazon I get someone out of the country. It is very annoying that they can hardly speak English and all I hear is UMMM. IT'S RIDICULOUS! I guess I will have to stop shopping Amazon for this very reason and I am not the only one. I have several people complaining about it.

I have been buying from Amazon for a couple years and used to have good experience. I was a Prime member but cancelled that a while back because it is not worth the money. Well I ordered something and the listed said it would arrive November 30th. When I choose the free shipping option because I spent enough money to do so, it changes to November 30th to December 5. I contact customer service and ask why they say one thing on their listing then change it pretty much after you make the order. They said they apologize and will expedite it at no cost. Well it is now November 30th, a week after I ordered and only one of the items says it’s in route to carrier which it has been for 2 days now. So they just straight up lied to me and now at this point they say they have done all they can. These are items they stock. Not outside vendors. How does it take a week and you still can’t ship it?
I agree that they do it on purpose to force you to buy Prime. But I canceled that membership because it was the same garbage then. Not on time. This is supposed to be convenient. I bought my iPhone off eBay and have had it for 4 days. Waiting on a case for it bought from Amazon 15 minutes after my phone order and my case still hasn’t shipped yet even though customer service told me they would expedite it at no cost and I would receive an email shortly before the day was over. Two days ago that was. Amazon jacks terrible customer service and you have gotten too big to care. If people start boycotting them and hurt their pockets then maybe they will get the message. I am using eBay stores where they rely on their feedback so they seem to treat you better.

I purchased a TV on Cyber Monday for $224.99. Today it arrived with a broken screen, I requested a replacement of which they refused, they will refund my money however if I want a new tv I have to pay the full price of $438. I feel this is a form of bait and switch, if they have new tv's that I can purchase for full price why can't they exchange the TV they shipped me that was broken?

Amazon is a fairly good company. They have a wide range of products. Their prices are good, better in some cases. There are a few problems. There are some vendors that you can not track your package. You should be able to track all your purchases. Also, some pics are not accurate. I bought a watch from Japan. When I go to my purchases the pic does not show the watch I bought. It is of a different watch.

Here's the story: I've been an Amazon buyer since 2011 and a Prime member since 2013. We live in Canada but have a mailbox in Maine. It's a 2:30 drive from home to the mailbox. It was my daughter birthday today and we bought her a Amazon tablet who was supposed to be delivered yesterday thanks to Prime. Before I left I made sure the status of the order was Out for Delivery because I didn't want to waste my time. I got there at 3 pm and waited until 5 pm, the package never showed up. I called them today to voice my frustration and after 30 minutes on hold they offered me a $30 gift card which I told them: if it's the best you can do give the money to charity. Bye Bye Prime membership and I'm switching from Amazon Music to Spotify.

Only an astute neighbor wildly waving prevented me from driving over the package! Disappointed enough to start looking and comparing online alternatives.

I've been a Prime customer since they came out with the idea. I've been happy with them for years, but over the past two years, their quality has been dropping precipitously, in particular their customer service. They used to do what was necessary to make things right when they screwed up (nobody is perfect, but a good company doesn't leave its customers high and dry) but now, they "can't do anything" for anything at all, and do not respect their customers time and money. The final straw was this year's Black Friday sales. I saw a blender for a good deal. Clicked it, saw the main page for what looked like a brand new product. Current model, "Amazon's #1 selling model" thousands of good reviews. I click buy it now from the item's main page.
It arrived a day late, in a ruined box, missing pieces, missing packaging materials, and severely damaged. I get on chat with Amazon and am told "you bought a used item". It took almost an HOUR for this rep to figure out that there was no way for me to know I had bought a used item. NOWHERE on the front page was it indicated. I'm not some doddering old person, it was NOT mentioned that I was buying a used product, let alone one that was completely destroyed.
After an hour, he just gave up and told me that "Amazon policy won't allow me to do anything whatsoever to help apart from return the item" which does nothing to help the wasted time and money. I get frustrated when he tells me I also have to drive to a UPS store 25 minutes away and say, "This ** sucks." At which point he accuses me of threatening him and hangs up the chat. I must stress that I was brusk but at NO point did I even remotely insult or threaten him. I was simply frustrated.
So, if you're a happy Amazon customer, the best I can say is that you should NEVER buy anything that is on "sale" from Amazon, particularly a busy holiday sale like Black Friday. They are going to screw over quite a few people in quite a few ways, and they simply can afford to not give a crap about you anymore when they do. So take your money elsewhere. Wal-Mart offers free shipping and curates its inventory, Newegg actually still lets its reps do everything that's needed to make things right when mistakes are made, Support companies that care about their customers. Amazon simply doesn't anymore because they're "too big to fail".

I absolutely love Amazon Prime. For such a small fee, unlimited 1-2 day shipping, great competitive pricing, almost anything you could ever want (down to a bottle of Elmer's glue which saves me the time and hassle of a trip to Wal-Mart), fast easy free returns and exchanges, can cancel or join back at any time effortlessly, and so much more! I have nothing but positive remarks for this company, and it is the one (if not only) company that I allow to keep my credit card on file. Also check-out Amazon Prime Video - 99x better than standard cable at a mere cost of $12 a month.

If your package does not arrive by Nov 28th, contact us and we will help you." Um, 4 days later? What the heck am I paying for? I left a negative review and they crossed it out and said it was their fault and that they fulfilled the order. Ordered foot massager for DH for our anniversary. As a Prime Member, it was supposed to be delivered on 11/27/17, but it wasn't delivered. Long story short, two of Amazon's customer reps promised me a refund for the massager, but I was also supposed to still receive it, just two days late for our anniversary. This was compensation for this being the FOURTH time in two months an order wasn't delivered on time, and the EIGHTH time since the beginning of 2017 that an order wasn't delivered on time.
When I checked the tracking, the order was canceled and being returned to Amazon. Third customer rep refused to abide by the other two reps' promises - even though I provided her with copies of the Amazon chat transcripts. All she offered me was a $5 off promotional coupon and free shipping - which I already got as a Prime Member - for something that was promised to me for free. I'm canceling my Prime Membership and I wouldn't recommend anyone ever join.

I noticed a huge discrepancy in the price of a book and the price for giving the book away in a giveaway. Instead of the $6.98 price which is listed, it would cost $19.61 to give a copy away. When I first emailed them, I got a boilerplate answer that had no relation to what I had asked. A response went unanswered. I used "chat" the next day and worked my way through to "customer assistants" who apparently did not read what I first wrote until I had restated it 5 times. When they finally grasped the problem they could not view the pages I could see. They confirmed that the retail "Amazon price by Amazon" was $6.98 and the giveaway was $19.61 and promised to escalate the correction. Two days later having received no message nor seen a change, I now called. Again, I got the "policy" speech and asked to speak to a supervisor.
Without my permission they both chose to call me by my given name, despite my objections, the supervisor in fact pointedly refusing to use a title I have earned and used for almost 50 yrs despite my continued objections. This time they said that the cheaper price was somehow NOT an Amazon price but a third party price, despite the statements by the prior "assistant." The mighty Amazon does not care that it lies to mere consumers from whom it takes money.

On November 24, I found out Amazon was offering their new Kindle (Fire) 10 tablet at $99.99. Immediately I tried to buy it, but received the message that this item would not ship outside USA. It was strange, because I was using a USA address. In the past I had made other purchases to this same address with no problem at all. I kept trying several times. No success. On Friday night, I contacted them on chat. Joice was very kind, and checked my account, verified the USA address, asked me to try again, but I kept receiving the same message.
She transferred to a guy that seemed to be from Asia, and not familiar with the English Language. Despite he read the transcript of the chat, he kept saying Amazon was not shipping the item outside USA. I repeated him I was using a USA address, but he insisted, so I knew it was a dead end. I tried Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and the same kept happening. Today, the price have changed to $149.99 and, guess what? No more limitations on the shipping address!!! With curiosity, I went to eBay, and found this same tablet at even $169.99. Do I feel hate right now?

I had very bad experience with ordering items from Amazon. I have been loyal customer to Amazon. I happen to order few items during Black Friday, however didn't realise that Amazon selected my old shipping address by default. I called up Amazon and they said they don't have way to change the address. Asked me to contact UPS, UPS said, they cannot change it, only sender can change. I spent few hours discussing with multiple Amazon agents with no solution. They are offering things like refund, but I need the product. They asked me to reorder it but for different price. Not sure I am penalised for Amazon's inability to change the shipping address. It is perplexing to see company like Amazon doesn't process to change shipping address if the product is in Transit.

Worst experience with online purchases I have ever had!! Had two accounts, one for me and one for my wife with separate email addresses. Something corrupted my account - called Amazon Sunday and they said they had fixed it. Monday morning it was corrupted again. Called them again and decided to cancel the account in my name and use the account in my wife's name.
By mid-morning, this account was also corrupted. Called them again, they suggested that I let them refund the Amazon Prime membership and start an entire new account and pay again for the Prime membership. Did all that, they processed the $109 fee for the Prime Membership but 10 minutes later, they cancelled a small $14 order as they said they could not process the credit card. I waited 10 minutes and replaced the $14 order, and again Amazon cancelled the order as they said they could not process the credit card. Called the credit card company, they said they had received the Prime order and processed for the $109 but did not receive any order from Amazon after that.
Called Amazon again and after two times being hung up on, I finally got a customer service rep who said let's try the order one more time - same thing, they could not process the credit card. The rep said, "Hummm, don't understand this one except we are very busy today!!!" Isn't that what they want? I ended up cancelling all of the Amazon memberships, demanding a refund on the Prime account and ordered the small $14 item direct from the manufacturer. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM AMAZON AGAIN NOR SPENT 5 SECONDS ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!

I have been a Prime member for many years and never had a problem with delivery (USPS). Since Amazon switched to their own delivery carrier, Amazon Logistics, I have had delayed shipment, missing shipments and mis-delivered shipments. I have requested to have my shipping preferences de-prioritized, so that AMZ will be the last carrier and USPS my 1st choice carrier. I have attempted to do this now for over a week. Some customer service reps are very helpful, but tell me that my request has not yet been approved by the shipping department, others tell me that de-prioritization is impossible. I am ready to cancel my Prime membership.
