Bosch 6.5 Kg Fully-Automatic: Amazon Prime members- Think about Prime membership account. Don't go with Amazon Prime membership. Because you will not get benefits. I was purchased the Washing machine from Amazon as a Prime member, the price is Rs.14,499. Now, I can see the price is dropped for Normal Amazon users, the price is Rs. 13,499. We are paying Rs. 999 for Amazon prime membership. Here Normal user benefited with 1000 price drop. Total we are losing Rs. 1999 because we are Prime members for Amazon. Now you have decide, Amazon Prime membership is needed? Because normal users getting same product with less price.

Wait for it...the price always go up, especially the supplements that you need and buy on a constant basis. No wonder Jeff the CEO, is the richest. Not enough with the Prime Services also the prices go up!

Purchased 5 items from Amazon. My card was charged for 3 items at correct price, the last 2 items were pending transaction in their system and then I was charged by Amazon for a third party sellers good to the tune of $220.35. I never heard of this company, never ordered anything from them before. 1st customer service person barely spoke English and after 28 minutes I finally convinced her to transfer me to the charges dept. The person I spoke to there refused to give her name, refused to look at the third party transactions, refused to look up my card number or the amount I had been charged. She also accused me of lying and said I was just trying to get free stuff. I told her to cancel my entire order, she refused. After speaking with the third party seller, they found Amazon's transaction using my card number in less than 30 seconds. My bank is pursuing Amazon for fraudulent charges now.

Recently my Microsoft Edge got corrupted, so I had to change my browser and tried to login to Amazon account but this time with my usual security login and password, Amazon asked me for my credit card numbers as a security pass system. Are Amazon serious or just stupid. With online e-commerce being hacked and customers' information being stolen, Amazon wants me to give them my credit card numbers to be stored on their database. This is the reason why after each and every purchases, I make sure Amazon does not save my credit card information for convenience but now they are making it as part of login. I DO NOT want Amazon to keep my credit card numbers but without logging in, I cannot delete my account, so I called Amazon to do so.
Instead of a help, customer service agent and her supervisor told me that they are unable to do so and I’ll need to login to my account to delete my account… which means I’ll need to give them my credit card numbers. Amazon is holding my account and containing information as hostage until I give them my credit card numbers… As result, I filed a complaint with BBB. A day later, I received an email from Gayathri P., an Amazon representative, stating “Please understand that this is a part of our security check which we randomly do on accounts. We have policies and security measures in place to ensure that your personal information remains secure.”
Is this for real? Credit card numbers are top sought-out information hackers are scamming for, yet Amazon thought it was prudent or even half-** smart process? Amazon, I have been shopper of your site for years and often but whoever is in charge of security is complete idiot. I’m done with Amazon… so delete my account that contains any and every information regarding me… because I am not going to give you my credit card numbers… or business.

I ordered a red dot sight from Amazon, upon receiving my package I opened the box and see the small box the sight came in was opened. The sight itself was out of its small box and the cleaning wipe for the lens was out of its packaging. Now it seems to me as if someone opened it beforehand, the sight also had a ding right above the lens. So I left this exact review on Amazon, along with pictures and Amazon denied my review. That's why I came here, I want people to know my experience with that product but Amazon wouldn't let me post the review, and it's not the first time either.

As an 18 year Amazon customer, imagine my surprise today when after one week I received an email from them. I had emailed a week ago asking why when trying to leave a review all it said was, "Oops something is wrong" in red letters. Today I find out I am no longer allowed to leave reviews for the rest of my Amazon life. Granted I left few reviews in comparison to what I purchase during the year. There was no explanation only a statement that said this decision is not reversible. There was no warning to tell me what it was that I wrote as my reviews are rather similar, I like something or did not. Apparently checking the web there are words or sentences you cannot use on the site that nobody knows about other than the computer algorithm.

Avatar Controls Smart Plugs were terrible and did not work. I returned them and left a negative review titled, "The Dumbest Smart Plugs Ever!" A few weeks later I noticed my review disappeared so I re-submitted it and got the following: "Sorry, we are unable to accept reviews for this product. This product has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity." In this case, Amazon apparently only wants to hear "Nice things" about crappy sellers/items!

I have an Amazon account that I have been using for years. For a long time I have stopped using the account. The account is associated with my main email address account that I use for everything. In the past 15 years, I have moved to a lot of places and have had different banks and billing addresses. Now, I need to get back into my Amazon account.
Tried to login with my password. It won't allow me. Tried resetting password through their website. It won't go through. Sent them an email. They tell me to call Customer Service Support. I call customer service support. I give them all the information I know. They tell me, they can't help me because of policy. After months of calling and receiving the same ** canned responses I had one of them get a supervisor. Supervisor tries to help me. I give them all the info that I know and remember. All the addresses I have been at. The system would not accept the info. Supervisor tells me the same exact **. "I can't help you because of policy." If system doesn't accept the addresses that I gave then there's nothing she could do.
I'm ** dumbfounded how the ** can a big company not have other verification options other than the billing address. I have full access to my email address. They can simply ask me any other verification option (birth date, location, SIN number, etc) but nooo. They just accept billing address. My main account has all my info (transactions, card info, certification, etc) and they tell me my only choice left is to create another account. This is the stupidest way of verifying customers I have ever experienced. Now, I just created a new account using a different email address losing all the info from my main account.

The wifi kept freezing up on trying to connect. How do I know? Went to Client with same exact device and tested both to see the problem with my own two eyes, not just any website, every website that a connection was initiated with.
Contacted Seller through Amazon for refund request. Within 15 minutes was contacted by seller to be told that (direct quote from email) "DataVision Computer Video has closed the return request listed below. Reason for the closure of your request: Expiration of returns period". Absolutely Awful Policy, Please be aware of making any purchases from this seller. Over the past 2 years I have spent thousands of dollars with this seller through Amazon. Have never had an issue like this with them.
However, it has become very clear that when they sell a defective product they expect the defect to take place within 30 days. Let's examine that timeline shall we. If you are an Amazon Prime customer you will get your items within 3 days. Now we are down to 27 days left. With regards to my business, the client will then receive the item in about 10 days. We are now down to 17 days left. 16 days left for defects to crop up and for you to have the ability to request a refund. GOOD LUCK!!
As for Amazon, you would think that a company who just recently became the second company to reach a trillion dollars in worth would be flexible to their clients and to assist them to resolve the issue. Think again, after the representative reiterated the policy and having me point out the timeline to him, he finally agreed to see what he can do. 7 minutes later, after being put on hold, he comes back, I hear "hello Sir" then dead silence. Looks like Amazon is on its way to becoming the first trillion dollar dinosaur.

I get so frustrated I end canceling the order. The last six orders, five of the items have been delayed because the delivery person won’t read. Amazon's solution: "Oh hmm we’ll remind them to read the code." I don’t know why they couldn’t figure it out. Nevermind Amazon, I’ll fix the problem by never ordering from you anymore.

Similar to other Amazon messages, no real information is provided, but they rejected my one star review on the product (an HDMI splitter) that quit working after a few months. I tried it again a week later, same results. The product has almost 20% one star reviews. All similar to mine that it stops working after a few months. Not accepting reviews is a good way to keep a high rating. Another Amazon trick.

Amazon retains any CC used to make a purchase on every account; regardless who makes said purchase, where said purchase is shipped, or who the listed CC user is. As an Amazon Prime Account holder and having an Amazon Card I expect that when I make a purchase, the default is my Amazon account, not that of any other who might have made a one time purchase. If someone makes a purchase on your account, you must then go into your account settings and delete their information, because Amazon has, without any authorization, taken their information and applied it to your account. Further, from this point forward, you must now select payment methods. Unbeknownst to me, the CC of another was being charged for my purchases, thus initiating a series of problems with two households and 3 financial institutions; that's a serious design flaw in MIS "Management Information Systems" for such a prolific organization.
Then, to correct the situation, once discovered, I am required to jump through hoops and deal with their failure or success, be the design flaw intentional or due to lack of consideration. Beyond that, Amazon Customer Service (who you have to speak with) and the Account Specialists (who actually resolves the matter) have no capability of directly communicating, per their repeated statements, only via a ticket/order system like email. And, the Account Specialists refuse to communicate with the customer directly, they send emails with fragments of information and request personal information via email that should send up red flags to anyone who knows anything about IT protocol and security.

This year has been quite an eye-opener for my family and its use of Amazon Prime. First off the price increase of 33% seemed very steep, but we bit the bullet as we buy stuff almost daily. But then the failure of things to show up on time began. To date, this year, seven orders that were guaranteed two-day delivery items or sooner, have failed to show up on time and some have been several days late. Tonight was the tipping point for me. On 10/1 I ordered one item with "next day" delivery and another with two day. On 10/2 I get an email that they are "processing" my order and will "let me know when it's on the way." I figure, same old, same old.
Yesterday the order shows as "shipped" but no email or message was sent, I just checked on their website which told me that the the items I ordered, one which was already 24 hour past due, would arrive tomorrow by 9 pm... Oh brother... okay... what can you do, right? So today I'm all ready to get my stuff and what do you know, still no message, but the website now says... "Once again Amazon Prime screws the pooch..." Purchased a couple of items two days ago (10/1), one of which was guaranteed NEXT DAY delivery. Well, what do you know? That didn't happen, then again it didn't come yesterday but don't worry, it will be there for sure today by 9 pm (10/4)...
"We're sorry your package is running late. We're working to get your package back on track, and we'll let you know when your package is out for delivery. Please come back Sunday if you still don't have it and we'll help you out. Was expected today." Sunday? What?... that's 10/7, six days late... really? This is what I paid $119.00/year for? It's little wonder Amazon doesn't prominently display a Customer Service number. It would be worse than trying to get somebody from SS on the line. So anyway, this has been my ongoing experience with Amazon Prime. Paying to join, then paying up to 50% more for the same non-prime items, only to not get the service you paid for in the first place. Fool me once... shame on me... It won't happen again.

I've been an Amazon Prime member for years, and I have purchased worth thousands of dollars from them. Their delivery is a hit or miss but I never complained about it until last night. I purchased a humidifier for a same day delivery (guaranteed delivery by 9 PM). My son was sick and I needed a humidifier to help him out with his breathing, I did not have time to go to a store to get it myself so I placed an order from Amazon. 9 PM has passed and I still haven't received my items, so I called customer service asking when am I receiving it.
The customer service basically told me to call the delivering agent myself or if not to just wait for the package to arrive. Are you kidding me? She cannot provide any information about my items other than it is out for delivery. The items arrived late last night but I still feel frustrated for misleading advertisement from them that the same day delivery is guaranteed to be delivered by 9 PM. I called back today to brought up the issue, another customer service rep didn't give a ** and offer me to assist to cancel my membership. I took her up on her offer and canceled my subscription. Their service is not even worth paying over a $100 a year for membership. Although my membership didn't matter to them, I'd rather not waste my money for their lousy service.

So, I called Amazon corporate offices. When I began to describe why I was calling, I was disconnected again. When I called back, no one answered the phone. Amazon, since you intend on opening a second HQ in the US, please do your customers a favor and move customer service back here too! Also, as long as you've outsourced it to a foreign country, and one that is clearly not well-versed in this culture and how to speak to people to help RESOLVE issues rather than partly create more, it would be appreciated if you took the time to train both frontline reps as well as "supervisors" in how to adequately answer and/or de-escalate a complaint. I ordered my product on Friday with a Sunday by 9 pm delivery date. I live in an apt complex and during the day, I saw that my downstairs neighbor had their package delivered because I nearly tripped on it as I was coming up the stairs to my apt.
By 7 pm, I came home and saw my package was still not delivered; checked my phone to track it and it said it was still out for delivery. I thought this odd since it would make sense it was the same person who delivered for my neighbor would also walk up one flight and deliver mine but... by 8:30, I checked the online tracker again and it said it was delivered at 4:53 to and "your package was left in the mail room".
I was furious because they did not update the tracking in real time and then they did not deliver it to my door which is one of the bonuses of having Amazon deliver -- they bring it to your door and you're not stuck having to track your package down, especially if you live where the management office regularly disregards sending an email to residents advising there was a package delivered and PS: WHY ARE SOME PACKAGES DELIVERED TO DOORS AND OTHERS ARE NOT, AMAZON??? When I called their "customer service" number to ask, the frontline person sounded like a broken record telling me she was sorry and asking if I checked my mailroom?
When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she initially told me she would call me back tomorrow because her system was not allowing her to process a credit tonight and would that be "ok" with me -- I said "no" and asked again to speak with a supervisor; I don't think I stutter... this "supervisor" gets on the phone and proceeds to tell me that when a driver picks up packages from the processing facility, it's scanned into the system as "delivered".
I called him out on this immediately as a lie and ** and reiterated how this is not my first package from Amazon I've had delivered and that has never been the case and asked him what the policy for deliveries are and he continued to tow the standard line of this lie. AMAZON, WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? POOR-POOR-POOR! Do you not make enough money that it's a hardship to have properly trained and service-oriented reps available here in the US??!! I am an avid Amazon user, and that will not change. I have Prime, a Kindle, and I probably do average 4 orders a week. I received the remaining item in a recent order today, my Vit. D dummies. There were three other items in the box. The first was soft, and I foolishly just opened it. It came in an Amazon box. It was some kind of insulation. There was one more like it, and there was a bag of gelatinous liquid. All three were in white bags with no markings, barcodes, inventory numbers, nothing... just white bags. I called Amazon about this, because it was concerning, and the first agent I spoke to just kept asking me if I got the vitamins after at least 20 times of telling him yes. He was going to put me on hold, and my response was, "Have someone above you pick up the line." He was still trying to solve the vitamins which are sitting right in front of me.
Then I got a supervisor, at least I think. She asked me about every item in my order. I said the order had been fulfilled in its entirety, but I was calling about the three blank white bags. Her advice to me was to open the bag of gelatinous liquid, and if I could use it I could keep it. What moron tells a customer to open a liquid filled white bag that has no name, skew number, or barcode?
In this day and age, that is the worst answer I could think of her giving. So, then I had to think. If I ran water, turned on the garbage disposal, and cut a small hole in the bag right over the disposal, perhaps I would not blow up or die instantly from chemical warfare. I could of dumped it down to the dumpster, but when it got smashed in the truck, it may harm 2-3 completely unsuspecting people. Or if it made it to the landfill, and a bulldozer ruptured it, it could spread through the air and possibly hurt thousands. I chose option 1. 1 damaged human is better than hundreds or thousands. Luckily, nothing happened, but what idiot tells you to open an unmarked bag full of liquids? Especially now? My only hope was that the call was recorded.

I feel that Amazon has been going downhill for the past couple years. Prime used to be worth it in that two day shipping actually meant two day shipping. But now it is 4 day at best. Recently I went to return something that didn’t work and found that there is now apparently a 30 day return window that was never there before. And now the straw that broke the camel’s back was a bed frame that I ordered on Prime 2 day shipping on the 19th, with guaranteed delivery, Friday the 21st. And it’s now 10 pm on the 24th with no hope.
The shipping info keeps changing from “out for delivery” twice, to “sorry it wasn’t delivered” to “damaged, will attempt delivery” to “sorry it wasn’t delivered, contact Amazon.” When I tried contacting Amazon, which I’m pretty sure was a computer, I just got, “it will be delivered as early as possible, here is a five dollar credit.” Why would I want something that has been damaged and how much longer would I want to wait for a mystery delivery while sleeping on the floor?? A week before expected release date/shipping time I get an email telling me they can't fulfill the order as the items are no longer available. How is that possible when I've pre-ordered a month in advance which they gave as an option at purchase?! Then when I live chatted a representative they tried to sell me the same items from a private seller at more than double the cost plus a new delivery cost, no longer offering the free delivery as it's now coming from private sellers. An absolutely terrible shopping experience!

Amazon, you have got to properly train the customer service reps. How are they working customer service but do not want to help? I just wasted 40 minutes of my life, explaining a problem to someone I had to try extremely hard to understand but couldn’t afford me the same effort. I know that at some point he gave up and started being funny. Eventually, I told him that I did not feel like playing games anymore and to transfer me. He knew he had the power and instead of transferring me, he continued to play games with me until he was done, then transferred me to someone who automatically had an attitude with me due to the prior encounter of course.
I needed help with apparently was a profile issue (I know this because that is all both men said the entire time) instead of walking me through it or pointing me towards a link (at least Apple would’ve given me a link), they continue to tell me: "You are under the same profile. You need a new profile. You cannot play your own game you have to share." It was a mess and I believe they enjoyed the back and forthness. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

The only reason to use Amazon is because it's simple. That being said, they make outlandish guarantees of 1, 2 or even same day shipping and upon purchasing you are given a "guaranteed delivery date". To people who speak English, you'd think that this means it will definitely arrive on or before that date. However, several times now I have had a package show up late or not show up at all (even though it was marked as delivered in their delivery tracker).
When I called customer service, they said that it could still be out for delivery up to 3 days after the "guaranteed date" and that I can't even request a refund/reship until *2-3 days after the guaranteed delivery date* even when it has already been marked delivered by their delivery men. My question is what's the point of a guarantee if the guarantor does not even hold itself accountable. I'm also working on a theory that they mark my package as delivered even when it isn't, so that they can maintain dishonest success ratings on their expedited "prime" deliveries.

Apparently Amazon has updated their t&c when you download the app to default of yes to allow marketing emails, and they have modified app to make it difficult to opt out without calling and obtaining secret unpublished link. Amazon should be ashamed for charging prime customers a fee to be advertised to. They are becoming no different than a subscription to cable tv who charges you for receiving commercials. I contacted Amazon customer service they stated that they would not reimburse me for the loss of $68.00. At the same time I was ready to place another order from Amazon which I canceled. What you buy and its quality are not reviewed here. The Amazon delivery system has broken down as well as the customer service department. It used to be a no hassle gold standard, but no longer. Now you can wait a week or two and still not get your package. The delivery messages are lies for example, "Customer refused delivery" when that did not happen. In my case all my packages are always left at my front door. I am never home for deliveries and that has never been a problem. Now Amazon justifies the lack of delivery on me. Then another reason is "Undeliverable" when I have received hundreds of deliveries up until now at this same address. My point is that consumers are now in an era of no solutions and unreasonable expectations. Prime might promise 2 day delivery, but that ain't going to happen.

The Add-on program allows Amazon to offer low-priced items that would be cost-prohibitive to ship on their own, since they have few "brick and mortar" stores of their own to which they could deliver for customer pickup. These "add on" items ship with qualifying orders accumulating over $25. In many cases, this means you MUST accumulate purchases totaling $25 or more. Or else you cannot order the item you want. This does not apply to all Amazon orders...just the ones that are "Add on". So instead of buying stuff I don't need at the moment to aggregate $25, I went to WalMart online and purchased the same item... Amazon is not the first website that I would order an item from. Amazon has a tendency to deliver packages days after it was scheduled for delivery. Sometimes they don’t even ship your package until the day that it was supposed to be delivered to you. If it’s an important item that you drastically need in a hurry I suggest shopping somewhere else. They are sometimes very unreliable, their customer service can use some improvement, and their delivery times are usually unpredictable to say the least.
I ordered lights to decorate my dorm room off of Amazon and I never received my order from them. When I first ordered it they told me that it would come within 4 to 5 business days: however, that was not the case. My lights did not ship until the 4th day of me waiting for them. I waited a couple days to see if my package would come. After about three days of not receiving my “shipped” package I decided that it was time to take matters into my own hands. I first called the delivery company that was supposed to drop off my package and they said that they never got a package for my address or name. I then decided to email Amazon and they replied back saying that my item was shipped to the postal service that would be delivering it. Although, they said that my items were shipped I still did not receive them days later so I decided to call the company to and find out why.
The first time I gave them a call I was on hold for at least 30 minutes waiting to talk to a representative. After being on hold for a significant amount of time, I was told that there were no available representatives to talk to at that time and that I should call the next day. The next day when I called I was on hold for a while but I finally got to talk to someone about my order. I was told that my order had been sent back because of an unknown error. I never got an email or notification saying that the order that I have been waiting on for weeks was sent back. When I asked why my order got sent back the representative told me that she was not sure why but sometimes it just happens.
When I asked for my money she told me that I had to email Amazon or go to the website and click on “about refunds” and ask back for my money there. So I emailed Amazon and asked them for a refund due to the fact that my package got canceled but I never got my money back. The next day they emailed me and said they would refund me my money back within 24 hours of my initial email. I waited for the money but it never went back into my account so I emailed them again and this time they didn’t respond until days later saying that, once again, they would send my money back to me.
After not receiving my money a second time I just decided not to worry about it and just decided to be cautious of where and what I buy online. Next time I know not to rely on Amazon so much for my online shopping. Next time I know to be cautious and what sites I shop on. If you do decide to shop on Amazon just be mindful of what you get and who the seller is that you are getting the product from.

Amazon used to be one of my favorite places to shop. It had everything I needed, conveniently ready to go, often for far cheaper than competitors. Recently though, this seems to be the case less and less. Paying for prime, (which is NOT cheap), my prime 'privileges' seem to mean less and less every day. I'm not sure Amazon even gives an entire month before they close the return window...something I am PAYING for by the way with Prime, and that window has come up more and more often as just about anyone can sell on Amazon, with no quality checks or references, and I have gotten all kinds of crap that is totally incorrectly described, doesn't work, is in bad condition, you name it. This used to be a one-off experience, but now it seems to be the norm. I am so fed up with this company.
I was increasingly irritated by their lack of ethics, but now even as a customer, I really feel like I'm not even getting my money's worth. There are so many other companies out there now that offer things like free-shipping, it's not really such an incentive for me to use Amazon for this reason anymore. Additionally, although they have many choices, it seems like the quality decreases more and more. There are many choices...of cheap crap! I feel like, as someone who actually wants my money to be used in meaningful ways, I am actually doing myself a DISSERVICE by continuing with this horrible company.
All my reasons for using it are gone: it is NOT a better value, it is NOT convenient for customers, it is NOT reliable when it comes to product description or quality. Several of my orders have been totally lost, or incredibly delayed, or even come WAY too early, before I was even at the proper spot, which has caused all kinds of issues. Trying to deal with customer service is on par with a trip to the dentist. I'm appalled, and confused as to why this company still seems to be in business, when I know I am not the only one who is getting tired of the less than acceptable experience that seems to be the staple from them these days. My advice to any sane consumer, is stay AWAY from Amazon!

I have been a customer of Amazon's for many years; I am also a Prime member as well. In the last year I have experienced severe delays, in shipments, from the OnTrac carrier that they are now using. I have complained to OnTrac and to Amazon, repeatedly about this severe issue. OnTrac always tells me that they are having an issue with the driver, or that they don't know where the shipment is. They tell me that they will call me back and they never do. Amazon told me they would use another carrier and they used USPS one, or two times and then they reverted back to using OnTrac again. They continually tell me, "There is nothing that we can do." Over and over and over and over again I get told that OnTrac is taking care of the problem and yet they never do. I get told that Amazon has no control over their carriers. I get told that there is NO solution at all.
So, the bottom line is that I am a Prime member who is paying for a 1-2 day delivery guarantee and I am continually receiving my shipments days, to a week late. And still I am repeatedly told that there is NOTHING that Amazon can do about it. OnTrac is a carrier that does not deliver shipments on time and continually has problems with their drivers/deliveries, etc. and therefore I do not want Amazon to use them to deliver my Prime deliveries to me, because they never get here on time. It should be pretty simple for Amazon to find a solution for me, but they do not care to do that.
I am beyond frustrated and disgusted at the total lack of concern for my continual problem with OnTrac and Amazon. Amazon used to have amazing customer service, but now it seems that they have gotten so big that they find it a totally normal response to say to a long-term customer, that there is nothing that they can do about the problem at hand. They can take my money for Prime to deliver my shipments in 1-2 days and they can contract with a sub-par carrier to deliver my shipments to me late and then do NOTHING about it... repeatedly??? I was told my account could not be found. The rep was unable to provide me with much info and I was told I would get an email on resetting my password. August 9th, no email, I call again. This time I am able to glean more info. There have been purchases made which I have not made. There has also been a two step verification set up on this account which I have not done. So the hackers were able to steal my account and secure it! With this information, I closed all my payment accounts associated with Amazon. As I found out this was after they racked up $700 against my Amazon store card.
I called on 8/13, 8/15, 8/27, 8/29, 9/3. All with no resolve to my account. On my last call I ended up speaking to two supervisors. Mid call on both they suddenly could not hear me. Nothing has been resolved. I have lost hundreds of videos and Kindle books. I don't know where else to go to assure my old account can be closed permanently since they do not believe me that I did not set up the authentication procedure. I am amazed with as big as Amazon is that they have been so deficient in resolving my issue. If there was a competitor to Amazon, they would be getting my business.

When contacting AMZ CS, I find I have other credits but had no idea I had them and they could not tell me how to see them or how to use them. This is a scam - provide credits but then there is no way to see them or apply them - they say they will be automatically applied to my purchases - which they are not. How can a company apply credits and keep them SECRET!! Ridiculous feel good scam.

My wife has an account with Amazon.com. I don't need an account, as she shares hers with me. My complaint is that they do not care about where they put our deliveries. My concern is that if they just leave the package at the top of the stairs, (as they ALWAYS do) everyone will assume: A: We are not home and therefore an open place to rob. or B: They see the package there (we live in a senior mobile home park) and figure it's easy pickings for them to take. Now we've had packages stolen that were left for us by FedEx and other delivery services before, so I'm not just some fussbudget. We contacted those services and told them to leave the stuff in a big, closed wicker basket on our porch. They all comply and nothing has been stolen since.
My wife and I have called Crapazon over 8 times and asked them to ring the bell first, and if no answer, to put it in the basket. NOT ONCE have their drivers done this. They don't ring the bell. They just throw the damned thing on the porch. I just don't get it! Do these people care or do they have so much business that if they lose a customer here and there it doesn't matter. Does anyone know why they don't care? Anyways, thanks for at least letting me vent this off. We'll probably not use these morons anymore after all this BS anyway.

Amazon is large enough to not care about customer service. Lately, it's all gotten worse & we as business owners are starting to feel the pain of poor service or not good quality of goods. They don't care if they lose business owners due to poor shipping services or sellers on their site scamming customers. For every one they lose, they just gain another. They also don't improve their mobile app from being slow, encountering errors, can't add to cart, etc. Not to mention it's not Free 2 day shipping anymore. In addition, their Amazon Prime Membership perks including music & video is NOT worth the money. Look elsewhere. Too much competition nowadays.

I wanted to buy some new headphones so I wrote a note on my phone with some specs of what was needed. This is the only place where this information was written down, I never searched anywhere online and I did not have a conversation with anyone about it. A few days later, I receive an email from Amazon with a link to their site and a list of all the headphones which met these specs! The email was sent to my address which does not have an Amazon account associated with it. The address is, however, connected to my phone. And yes it was definitely a link to the real Amazon website.
Whenever I tried to contact Amazon they just send me template emails saying they cannot help as I do not have an account with them. Very frustrating and what's more, they did not deny that they had tracked my phone. It is scary that nothing we do is private anymore. I never gave consent from Amazon or any company to behave that way and now I won't be using them again as I do not want to fund this unethical and disturbing behavior.

I submitted my review about a knockoff PopSocket that Amazon sent and they refused to post my review. They provide a generic reasoning that my review didn’t follow their guidelines. I think they’re trying to silence consumers. Beware of their reviews cause they definitely pick and choose what they post. So If you’re buying a PopSocket from Amazon, beware. They could be sending you a knockoff even though they show pictures of the official item. Here’s the original review on the black PopSocket I purchased:
"I ordered what I thought would be an official PopSocket, but I got a knockoff. I did not get what was pictured. I included pictures of the black PopSocket I ordered on Amazon compared to an official PopSocket I bought from a store. The Amazon black PopSocket came in a ziplock bag. When collapsed, the knockoff is much thicker than the real PopSocket. Also the base of the knockoff is shiny without any branding, which is not the same as an official PopSocket that has a matte finish and it’s branding. The seller of the knockoff is “Sold By: asgvbddfher.” If you’re looking for the real thing, be wary of this seller.

Apparently Amazon has started using Amazon Logistics drivers, which I assume are Amazon employees, to deliver packages rather than UPS, FedEx, or USPS. I had two orders that were to be delivered on the same day to two different addresses. BOTH packages were too big to fit inside a mailbox & were left propped up (one against the mailbox post & one against a private drive sign) right beside the street. Anyone could have stolen the packages. When I found out about the first package being left propped up against the mailbox post at the street, I immediately called Amazon to complain and express my concern about the second package I was expecting that was still in transit.
Amazon Customer Service added delivery instructions for the second package to be brought to the house & not left at the street. The tracking information for the first package (that was left propped up against a mailbox post) indicated the package was delivered to a "secure location", which was a lie. The tracking information for the second package (that had instructions added to deliver the package to the house) indicated the package was delivered per instructions, which was another lie (these packages were delivered by the same driver).
I have called Amazon Customer Service to complain again, but felt I needed to post the feedback publicly to make other buyers aware that the logistics delivery drivers, or at least the one that delivered both of my packages, do not follow specific delivery instructions and leave packages propped up by the street instead of delivering to the residence. I've never had this problem with packages shipped via UPS, USPS, or FedEx.

I ordered a phone off of Amazon on August 28 and it was expected to be delivered on August 31 by 9PM, alright cool. The day of the delivery which was yesterday I started watching the map tracker around 5PM, said there was 81 stops on the way to my address. The stupid part was that map tracker showed the van literally down the street from me. I watched and watched how the van went further and further away from me. By around 8PM it finally said 4 stops away and by 9PM it said my package wasn't going to be delivered that day. Are you serious??? I watched this person go from a street down from me to nowhere near me. I watched this person driving go back and forth to places they already delivered packages to.
Now current day, I started watching the map tracker at 10 AM and it's now 3:20PM and I've watched this driver go by my house several times and not going down my street. Once again I've watched this person go to one location then drive to another then go back to the previous location. This person is driving in a U and avoiding the middle which is my house. It's like they don't have a specific route to follow, they just drive wherever. Then I look online an hour later and it says declined again, now I get online am looking at the account that they claim is declining me and there is more than enough funds... I ask for a manager, spoke to someone from India I could barely understand, she told me the same thing, so cancelled it, a $400 order and cancelled my Prime, I am done with Amazon good luck.

I told him all he had to do was look for my apt number on outside of building get out of car, come upstairs and find apt number on door. He did not, he left and update status that he could not enter building. This is an open complex.
There are no gate, locks or codes anywhere except on our unit (apt) doors of course. Nowhere else. I have been a customer of Amazon for so long and have never experience this kind of inconvenience, and 2 weeks in a row with a driver that refuse to deliver packages to door and would leave with package because community leasing office is closed and it's easier for them to just leave packages there. I've been an Amazon Prime member for some time now. Within the past 6 months most notably, they have completely failed to uphold their services stated in the membership details for two day shipping. More and more orders started coming late, sometimes a day, sometimes a few, sometimes a week or more, some were never delivered at all. I warn you now - DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A PRIME MEMBERSHIP WITH THE IDEA THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE THE TWO DAY SHIPPING THEY PROMISE. On their website, it only lists that there may be delays if an item is out of stock, or if you order a large quantity. The items I have problems with never are.
When you bring this up to their customer service, they will say "The two day shipping is only relating to the time in transit" When you tell them you've always gotten it in two days up until this point, and nowhere on the website does it say they can take however long they like to process the order. They'll say "It says on the website that there could be potential delays for the item" when that doesn't apply.
When you tell them that, they will say "well it needed to come from a different warehouse" - an excuse completely illogical, as it coming from a different warehouse doesn't suddenly mean they need to wait around on the order to ship it out. It should still take only two days in transit, right? When you say that, they'll say "well it can take up to 3 days to process an order." When you refute that line of lies, and point out nowhere on the website does it say that, they'll start the circular argument all over anew. After pointing this all out relentlessly to another of their "customer service" employees, they sent me this:
"Please understand that even when the item is in stock there are times when the fulfillment center (the one near to your zip code from where the item was planned to ship) would not have it in stock. Because of which it needs to be supplied from a different fulfillment center which does take. There are multiple reasons why an item might be delayed, however, please note that two-day shipping doesn't mean that you place the order and it gets delivered in two days but it exactly takes two days to delivery after it ships out.
I realize you're upset, and I regret we've been unable to address your concerns to your satisfaction. However, we'll not be able to offer any additional insight or action on these matters, and any further inquiries on this matter will not receive a response." And they expect me to keep paying for a membership, WHICH THEY JUST INCREASED THE PRICE OF? No, I will not. Once this membership is up, the Amazon card I opened is getting cut up and thrown in the trash, and they will not have my money for their fraudulent business again.

I've been a prime member for years. Initially the free 2 day shipping was great. But in the past few years I've had fewer and fewer orders delivered by the "guaranteed" date. I have ordered items for trips that did not arrive in time, causing me the hassle and stress of having to make last minute trips to out of the way retail establishments to buy the same items for which I'd already paid Amazon. Then I had to deal with returning the items to Amazon to get my money back. Then there are the orders that don't show up, or for which the delivery date is changed without notice, apology or compensation. Inevitably when I call Amazon, I'm given a "so sorry" by a rep who doesn't seem to understand the concept of "guaranteed."
Even worse, they frequently admit that Amazon is well aware that the companies and independent contractors they hire for deliveries are unreliable. If that's the case, then why do they continue to advertise "guaranteed" delivery date? Perhaps the most egregious is the inducement of next day delivery if one purchases a minimum of $35 in merchandise. When I've needed something quickly, I have bought unnecessary products just to meet the minimum so I can get my order the next day. But then the order doesn't arrive as promised, and when it finally does (IF it does), I'm stuck with stuff I don't need and something I needed sooner. Amazon refuses to acknowledge that it is using a bait and switch tactic, or that their failure to meet the guaranteed delivery date is a breach of contract with the consumer.
One cannot make a promise meant to induce another to enter into a contract, and then break the promise and still demand the party who has not received the benefit of the bargain must still pay the full price for a product/service that was not delivered according to the terms of that contract. Amazon breaches contracts with its consumer all day every day. Why is nobody filing a class action? There are true damages here - both in cold hard cash (all those items arriving too late for the consumer's intended purpose, forcing them to go out and pay more for the same item even while the first charge for the item not received is on their card), and in lost time and distress. I am canceling my prime membership and have stopped shopping at Whole Foods. Amazon has surpassed Walmart in terms of terrible service and corporate greed.

Once again, I'm giving Amazon a 5-star experience, this time due to its excellence in customer care, even on a Sunday afternoon. When I had an issue with a local UPS store while trying to print a return shipping label for an item I purchased from Amazon, I contacted the customer care department on the Amazon shopping website in order to have them mail the return shipping documentation to my home. The deadline to return my item was very near so I was in a bit of a panic to get a return label asap - my printer refused to print, the UPS computer and printer were not cooperating, and to get the proper documentation mailed to my home was my last hope... Until I chatted online with an Amazon.com customer care representative.
The CSR I chatted online with was patient while I explained every detail of my frustrating dilemma. Not only did the CSR listen to every word I wrote in chat (I know this because he addressed each struggle), he reassured me and told me I could expect a UPS driver to come to my home the next business day to pick up my return package and that I would not have to print any return shipment documentation - it was going to be handled by Amazon and UPS, free of charge. As a former Customer Service Specialist for a large corporation in Los Angeles, I and my workgroup won awards for excellence in customer satisfaction. Based on that, my 5-star rating here should have some value.

Shopping online has become not just a luxury for me, but a necessity due to my disability. I no longer have the ability to stroll through stores, browsing the shelves for what I need or to be inspired by what I see there. The Amazon Prime shopping app (both on my phone and on my laptop) has afforded me the opportunity to look at different products I need, check prices on different brands, and read reviews by customers who have purchased and used the products I'm interested in purchasing. It also delivers what I order in a very timely manner, and since I've become a Prime member, my deliveries are free, within a few days of placing and paying for my orders.
Since the deliveries arrive via UPS, my phone is alerted with a text message telling me my packages have been delivered to my doorstep. Anytime, if ever, I need to return something, Amazon.com sends a return shipping label to my email which I can easily print, and drop my package off at the UPS store only a few blocks from my home. I can also choose to have a UPS driver pick up the return package from my home so I don't even have to leave the house. (Another option Amazon gives me is to mail a return shipping label to my house for just $1, in the event that I am unable to get my EPSON printer to function properly... See my other review!)
I had a minor issue with getting a return shipping label printed at the local UPS store, so I contacted Amazon customer support and chatted with one of their CSRs online. My issue was resolved beyond my expectations. I've never been happier with online shopping, in all regards. Overall, I would highly recommend Amazon Prime to anyone - not just those who are homebound like myself.

I just spend 45 minutes trying to order a simple hair barrette. I wanted to add a few items to get free shipping. Oh my. Many, many things I selected were "reserved for Prime Members only". Many others required that I buy a zillion of the item. I don't really want that many at a time. So on I slogged, putting things in the basket, taking them out. Searching for others that met this narrow window of acceptance. Finally my patience gave out and now I am venting my frustration here. I won't attempt Amazon anymore. There are too many other websites that don't make it so hard to order items. I enjoy shopping, not this obstacle course.

Since signing up for Prime, my experience with Amazon has become less dependable. Not only have I received product which was not as described, but I am repeatedly receiving product past the promised arrival date. I complained to them recently about it & was told they cannot always guarantee shipment delivery - well, why not since this is what I’m paying for??! I would understand if this occurred once, but it now seems to be routine. Also, I recently received a charge on my card for Amazon for which I have no backup or record. I went into my account online & found no such order.
I contacted Customer services for an explanation. The person asked for a screenshot of the charge in my bill. Once I sent that, I was told she couldn’t help me; I have to wait for a response in 24 hours. I know CS can access my account so I asked why she couldn’t do that & give me an explanation, or credit me for the incorrect charge. She then scolded me & told me I should do as she told me to do! I objected & so she passed me off to someone else, who said he would help me, and eventually told me the same. Well, it’s been over 24 hours, still no explanation, or issued credit. In the past, I have extremely pleasant & helpful experiences with their CS staff.

Amazon purchases are increasingly arriving late after date promised. Even after paying extra to ensure it arrives on time. In the latest incident I needed a part for my motorcycle and was going to be fixing it this weekend so I could ride to work next week. I could have gotten this part much cheaper from another source. Amazon claimed to deliver it by Friday with local express shipping whatever that means. I paid extra for the shipping method expecting to have my part on time.
It didn't show up and Amazon just wants to pass the buck to the seller and the shipping company. What is more frustrating is that they managed to get my part from Canada East coast out to Seattle in 24 hours yet the part has been sitting in Seattle now for 21 hours. Seattle is only 2 hours drive from my address. The tracking information just says my package is late and gives a new date range for arrival. What is that?!! Keep tracking my package and keep it moving. I better get a refund for the shipping cost. Amazon, you are losing loyal customers over this delivery failure garbage.

And the good point is that I want the money back I need to send them more documents!!! For what? And it will last 90 days till they are able to refund me! 90 days? I`ve paid in few seconds!!! Why they charge you if is not a sure thing that you can sell on Amazon? They can charge after verification. The idea is that they will find another reason to not refund you, so before apply to sell on Amazon, you can check for other websites where you can sell safety and of course, with lower fees!

After reading At Night She Cries While He Rides His Steed The First Ever Romance Novel For Dudes I couldn’t wait for the sequel When Darkness Falls He Doesn’t Catch It. I preordered it in April from Amazon because they were supposed to deliver it the day it was released. The day after it was supposed to arrive I went to my account to see if it was delivered to my PO Box. It hadn’t even shipped. Amazon locked me out of my account when I tried to figure out why. When I finally got back in it said the book was out of stock and they didn’t know when or if it was going to be back in stock.
I spent the next 2 hours on the phone with Amazon trying to figure out what happened. The first person I spoke to, Panjeen (I’m guessing at the spelling), the super American person, in America, inside a room with 30 people in the background speaking with Indian accents said everything was the author’s fault. When I asked why would the author hack my account to keep me from buying his book he tried, poorly I might add, to deflect. The guy never answered any of my questions so I hung up.
The last person tried to say my billing information was the problem. I went through it with her. Everything was correct. I asked her if my card was the problem, why did Amazon let me order 11 other things with the same card after I ordered the book. For 20 minutes I kept asking that question. For 20 minutes she completely avoided it. She finally said she couldn’t answer that. I asked when the book would be available and she said probably in 3 months. The book I preordered wasn’t going to arrive until 3 months after the release date. I hung up on her.
This was when I started reading reviews. Some people got the book with no problem. One person was told the book was too graphic and the book had been banned. Another person got an email saying they canceled his order. I tried to write a review. Amazon deleted it and kicked me out of my account again. I reached out to the author after reading the reviews and told him what happened. I got a message back saying Amazon had banned it for being too graphic. They have no problem selling the first book, but the sequel is too graphic. They also have no problem making volumes 1 and 2 of Mein Kampf available on Prime. Luckily Barnes & Noble still has it. I canceled my order and bought it from Barnes.
It seems as though Amazon is jumping on the censoring people with different political views bandwagon along with Facebook, Twitter, and Apple. I always thought Alex Jones was a narcissistic douche who should be wearing a foil hat. Now that he has been censored along with a conservative who wrote a comedy book, I’m starting to believe it.

I posted a three star seller feedback (NOT product review) for Bertoni Eyewear. Afterwards, I noticed that not only mine, but all recent three star and less feedbacks were deleted. According to Bertoni Eyewear, Amazon is the one who deleted the ratings. The URL is **. I contacted Amazon at least 20 times on this issue, but Amazon refuses to let me know why they are manipulating the feedback for this particular seller. I did find out when Amazon does not want to respond to buyers, Amazon support sends the cases to seller support. Since most buyers do not have a seller's account, that means the cases get closed without any easy way for the buyer to respond. I have numerous emails showing this pattern of behavior by Amazon.
The following is about Amazon's deletion of three stars or less feedback rating on **. To start with, I am a BUYER and NOT a SELLER! According to seller support, this is NOT their issue. Second, this is about the seller feedback page and NOT the product page! The state of California has set laws and ordinances imposing penalties on businesses that try to deceive consumers or other companies through unfair practices such as false claims regarding products or services.
When Amazon manipulates seller feedback ratings, they are doing two things. 1. Deceptive advertisement that causes a loss of revenue for any competitor, 2. Trap unwitting consumers by advertising a product, property, or service in a false or deceptive manner. When Amazon manipulates the feedback ratings for Bertoni Eyewear, this gives Bertoni Eyewear an unfair advantage over competitors whose feedbacks were not manipulated. It also gives consumers a false understanding of issues with the services offered by Bertoni Eyewear, which is deceptive.

I ordered 1" chlorinated tablets, 3' tablets, AAA & AA rechargeable batteries and a battery charger. The tablets say ships on Aug 3rd. As soon as I order it, it says 2-3 months. I thought maybe a typo. I get on chat. The guy says, "Oh that's when it's not in stock." I said, "Oh ok. Well how comes it shows in my email it will come in 2 weeks? I thought it was same day shipping, is it coming from another state or country?" He says, "No, that's not it. It's not in stock." "Ok that didn't make sense because he just said 2-3 months is when it's out of stock." Then he says, "I see it will ship out on the 3rd so you are ok." Again, he is not making sense. How can it ship when it's not in stock? I tell him, "If I knew it was out of stock, which it didn't say, I would have gone to Walmart." He says, "I can cancel it for you." I said, "No because I don't want to wait for the money to go back in my account since I already placed the order.."
He said, "You won't be charged because it hasn't shipped". I said, "Ok". So he says, "Done". So then I decide, Walmart is quicker so I cancelled my 3' tablet order as well. I received an email that it was successful in me cancelling the 3" but never got a confirmation on the 1". I thought well that's probably because the rep. cancelled it. I placed my order with Walmart. Next day my bank account shows Both tablets were pending. What? I hop on my Amazon account to see under cancelled orders that the 1' tablet was indeed cancelled but it was still pending to come out of my account. I was frustrated. I only have enough in my bank to get what I ordered and gas money to get home tonight. I get on a Chat again and explain what happened. The guy tells me that nothing was ever cancelled. I asked, "Then why did I get an email and why is the other one showing up under cancelled?"
He says, "I just cancelled everything now. You will see a refund in your account within 3-5 business days." I know, this is insane. Who asked him to cancel everything? Then I talked to another guy because this guy disconnected with me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. The next guy told me to take a screenshot of my overdraft fees when they come. I asked to speak with a supervisor. 3 people jump on and off the chat without saying anything. Finally Amanda comes on. She says, "Give me a minute to go over everything." I said, "Please read all the transcripts." Within seconds, she was typing. I was thinking, I know she couldn't have read all the transcripts that fast. Impossible. She basically was telling me that since they are pending, they will drop off and I should call my bank to get them dropped off immediately. I said I worked at that bank. I know that they can not do anything when in pending mode.
I said, "Now I don't have money for gas because the balance isn't available because of the pending transaction and what about the items the guy cancelled without asking me?" She said, "You can reorder anytime and we are not responsible for keeping your account pending." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She didn't take any responsibility for what happened. She didn't acknowledge my questions. Every time I would send a lengthy detailed question about something that didn't make sense. I would hit send and instantly she was typing. She cannot be reading. She is now just typing repeated things. "Call your bank to see if they can help." She would let me talk to anyone else higher. Biggest attitude. So unprofessional. One rep responded after two days. They were going to take care of everything. Then someone else responded. They didn't even read what was going on.
They wanted me to go to Amazon.com and click on the order I was having issues with. WHAT? Now every time I email them, I get a auto reply that someone will get back to me within 6 hours and of course they don't. Why bother coming up with that if they don't enforce that? Two days later, someone else responds and says, if you want to chat live go to Amazon.com help. Where do they find these people? Amazon let me down. They erased all evidence of the orders that were under cancelled. Can't find them anymore. The 1st guy said he was going to issue me Amazon credit of $5. Ha! That was a joke. Never did. They all lie. Amazon has changed. I am cancelling my Amazon Prime. Not worth it anymore. I'm done with Amazon. I am sharing this with as many people as I can.

I have been a loyal customer of Amazon since 1999. Ordering tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise for myself and my company. Now I feel I have to speak out about charges in their practices that adversely affect people's shopping experience. First let's talk about Prime, as most people are aware when you order an item that is eligible for Prime delivery it will usually cost a few dollars more than the same item delivered by other means. Well UPS has come up with SUREPOST and now most guaranteed 2 day Prime deliveries are no longer arriving in 2 days, in fact when Amazon uses SUREPOST it almost always guarantees 3 days +.
Why? Because deliveries are transferred to your local USPS for final delivery to your home adding a day or two to the delivery times. One tip is that if this happens to you, complain, customer service will add a free month to your Prime account or as has happened in my case several times they will give you the item free, crediting your CC account. This year so far I have 11 months of free Prime and around $80 in free items, but to be honest I would rather have my purchase deliver on time! My next issue is with ordering items that are temporarily out of stock. On May 4th 2018 I ordered a woodworking plane, it had by far the best online price and as I was in no rush for it I placed the order. Today over 3 month later and nothing, I sent in two inquiries to customer service and get back a form reply that have zero indication as to what's happening with my order.
I should also note that the description of this item is for a polo shirt not a woodworking tool? On the page is a box that you can check to report inaccurate descriptions/information about the product. Over the 3 month period I have reported this 4 times and also sent 2 e-mails and still to this day the description remains incorrect. What's the point of having this facility if it's not acted upon? Anyway I could pay $100 more and purchase the item direct from the supplier or another online company, but then why does Amazon say Temporarily out of stock and then 3+ months later still have no idea when it will be available? Now I realize that Amazon has grown to one of, if not the largest companies in the world with many millions of products and customers. But my belief is that they are now just too big to provide the great customer service they were once known for, they have become a dinosaur. Big and slow to act.

Amazon Prime's subscription price is a flat out ripoff. The few products that do qualify now have a markup that more than covers shipping so free shipping is an out and out LIE! Two day shipping only occurs about 40% of the time. Items are often Bojack knockoffs, no name trash, and counterfeited products. Amazon should be raided by the Fair Trade Commission, and have all their records seized. Some sort of legal action should be taken assessing very steep fines and awarding monetary damages to consumers who received counterfeit products and treble monetary damages to any companies whom's products have been misrepresented and or counterfeited.
I bought a General Electric light fixture. The only place GE was mentioned was on the package. Even the lamp was a no name and simply said "Made in China" on it. I am almost certain the UL listing and the CSA listing are both counterfeit. ETL listing is a joke. CE is not quite as big a farce as Edison Testing Labs, but it is not too far behind in being lax and sleazy. The number of available products on Amazon Prime is shrinking, and the prices are equal to or higher than items in nearby RETAIL stores, with high prices.
So if I drive down the street, I can have my merchandise for the same price in 20 minutes or I can pay $150 a year and get the same products or questionable fake knockoffs delivered in two days. That hardly seems like any kind of a deal. It's an out and out ripoff! Parts that do not fit were delivered, and Amazon allows me to "resell them". Resell them as WHAT? I don't even know what they fit!!! Amazon is the epitome of sleaze. For what I paid for Amazon Prime I can pay for 3 day shipping on an awful lot of parcels, from more reputable sellers. The first year was fantastic, but the second year, all the prices went up by an average of 24%, overall. THAT IS A SCAM!

We wanted help getting to the bottom of how this Amazon item was purchased on our account, but we were told again and again that we could just “return it when it arrived as it was too late to cancel the order” despite the fact that this was just hours after the fraudulent order was placed. I wonder how many others out there have received Amazon products (not products sold on Amazon, but actual Amazon-produced products), they didn’t order? If this happened to you, were you able to figure out what happened? Again, this item was never in our cart, does not show up on our order list, and was purchased at an hour of the day when we were not awake. It is being shipped to our home. Thanks for any insight.

Whereas Amazon said that they do not share that number with customer and stalemate continued. Enough is enough, then I have taken initiative from my own source and get it installed. While I have often enjoyed shopping with Amazon, I feel I must discontinue doing business with them for the following reasons: 1. It is WAY too easy to order something by accident. I have accidentally clicked that "one-click" feature of theirs at least twice in the process of just trying to add something to a cart or wish list.
2. They auto-renew Prime and Music Unlimited without your authorization. I have had this happen repeatedly despite requesting twice by phone that they not do that and despite having physically unchecked the auto-renew settings. The only surefire way to make sure that they don't do that is to remove your card after every purchase - my mother had that happen to her too, so she has the same tactic of purchase-->delete card), but if you're in the habit of purchasing music one song at a time via phone like I am, this gets really tedious.
Just today, Music Unlimited was renewed without my knowledge, so I called to remove the charge. Nearly an hour after I hung up, I started systematically closing windows on my phone and saw the Amazon Music app open to the renewal page. Our grabby 18-month-old had gotten my phone and was tapping away and initiated a renewal. (See point #1. They really need to require password input for app purchases.) While now I am embarrassed at finding out about our son's accidental purchase, it still is way too easy for that to happen, seeing as how when I first got Unlimited, it was by accident after they decided to no longer include certain music with Prime (though up until that point, ALL music was included with Prime). In that case, I was paying for Music Unlimited for 4 months BESIDES the Prime membership before I even caught it.
3. They really don't want you calling them. You have to jump through multiple hoops and lengths to find a link where you can talk to someone via phone... and even then, they call you. In my experience, I don't recall whether I've seen a phone number on their website like a normal site. 4. They no longer QC their sellers like they should. I ordered a pair of Samsung chargers for my phone only to find out after purchase that they were counterfeit. (No data transfer, logo and design abnormal; Chinese vendor; see below.) Specifically, if what you're attempting to purchase is not from a seller / name brand you recognize, you may be on shaky ground with that purchase.
Just yesterday I had to contact an Amazon seller because I had purchased a video game for my husband for Christmas. The game was being sold with bonus content. Yesterday he was finally able to sit down and start playing the game. The bonus content codes were INVALID and upon further inspection, it looks like this disc is only licensed to be sold in ASIA. We ORDERED a North American disc (as evidenced by the seller's uploaded photos of the game case) with content, and we received an ASIAN disc with codes ONLY valid if you live in Asia.
Upon contacting the seller (while implying they may have sold this under false pretenses), they assured us that "all other functions are still perfectly valid." They offered a credit of $3 for the bonus content. While the $3 does cover the cost of purchasing the content via PSN, the disc was inexpensive, so it's more of a huge inconvenience... besides making you feel somewhat dirty and manipulated. I'm not even sure they are LEGALLY ALLOWED TO SELL IT in the U.S.
Now, I actually have had some really amazing seller experiences, and it's a shame that Amazon nearly makes itself the worst mediator of those goods. Also-also, especially with these Chinese vendors (I've had about 4 experiences in which I've had products not be as advertised or be straight-up counterfeit), there is a recurring pattern in which sellers will set up a new account to list and sell ONE SINGLE ITEM (before being "out of stock"), then turn around and sell another of it under another, yet similar, storefront. It would be like purchasing an outfit in the mall, going home, realizing that what was in your bag was a knockoff of what you just purchased, then going back on the next day to the store - which now has a slightly different name - and seeing the salesperson with Clark-Kent-style glasses pretending he's never seen you before in his life. It's really that bad.
We ordered three dresses for our daughter at relatively cheap prices, and when they arrived (for the ones that did): bad stitching, low-quality fabric, not as pictured, never received it. And returning it would be insanely expensive since they actually came from China. So now, if I see any vendors on Amazon with any typos, or bad English, or Asian names, or names like "Happy Fun Fashion", I just avoid them like the plague. Overall, it seems like Amazon may quickly be becoming Wish in that regard, and you might want to reconsider business with them for that reason. The only reason I still tolerate Amazon is for their refund policy (which refunds shipping if you have to send something back) and their digital music downloads, which are considerably more easygoing of an experience than the garbage-fire that is iTunes.
5. In order to save money, they have "sub-let" their delivery services to financially-strapped, unethical, non-Amazon-employee whoevers (most under the age of 30) who come up to your house in unmarked vans and leave strange packages at your door... that is, if they ever come. We had an order get lost in transit a few weeks ago, so Amazon just refunded the money back. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these "starving students" opened the package and decided to keep the item.
6. Amazon has a recently-exposed history of funding anti-Christian groups - specifically of partnering with the Southern Poverty Law Center - which openly persecutes Christians. That being said, Amazon also got in trouble for removing reviews from a prominent Christian reviewer for giving a glowing review of a recently published Christian book. Amazon has a system in place for supporting non-profits, but then removed the Alliance Defending Freedom from its recipient list due to the ADF's legal representation of persecuted Christians. As a Christian myself, it is practically an attack against me, my family, and the vast majority of Americans who still hold to the Bible, whether in spirit or in name only.
All said, I have been shopping with other sites recently, and though I don't make a lot of purchases, I find that it's less drama and trouble to just walk into the stores for what you need. Then you have a physical place to return to and you can look someone in the eye when you make that purchase. Proceed with caution.

From sending me broken knockoffs, to sending me empty packages, Amazon is the king of messing things up. Their customer service is also poor, from sighing at you as if you're a inconvenience, to silencing poor reviews for calling them out with sarcasm. Be very careful what you order from Amazon, because getting the issue fixed can be a headache, and a company that doesn't care about the people who work for it definitely doesn't care about their customer base. They have messed up several times and never have they gone the extra mile to make it right. Even scammers on eBay treat their consumers better than Amazon does. It's as they say, you get what you pay for and Amazon is the king of cheap online retail. I'm about done ordering from this joke of a website.

Also write a mail to their QA department but still no response from their side. Result of this is I could not order again as qty is fixed per customer but they still saying we will help you when the offer ended. Here I clear that seller had sent my phone on time but due their poor system I could not got the same. Amazon’s carriers failed to deliver my product and decided to return them after a whole week of me waiting instead of attempting to redeliver the product. Amazon Customer Service team does not care about Amazon’s customers. Amazon’s Customer Service team is not reading the messages I send them, so now I’m here. I put in an order for a product that was set to arrive on the 3rd week of July and ‘the carrier’ could not deliver it, so instead of trying again the next day or allowing me to give them instructions, they return my items! What bothers me is that ‘Amazon’s carrier’ claimed that the products got damaged in transit. I don’t believe that.
I tell Amazon CS, and Amazon’s CS instructs me to reorder the products with one day shipping and give them the order number to have the shipping waived. More work for me??? So, it’s July 31st and I have yet to receive my products??? Amazon is better than this. I have tried to communicate with Amazon’s customer service multiple times, but I keep getting ignored. They respond, but it’s generic. If anyone read that conversation, they’d think??? “Did they even read what you sent?” I work customer service. So, I started all over again and had a professional format it. When I complained and I did so daily, no one did anything. Instead, they removed my orders, removed my wish list, and my account. All the books I was using for students to refer to AND which they buy from Amazon have disappeared. My order form is clean stating that I have made no purchases whatsoever in the last six months. This is not true I have a number of books here and the receipt slips and dates.
Now they have removed the PRIME service; that is no longer available. In other words I have been removed as a customer from Amazon. Do they have the right to do that or should I see a lawyer and sue? I have done nothing to endanger their business, But I am considering sending this complaint to the BBB and also putting it up for the public as well as discussing the situation with a legal department. Additionally they owe me money for a book they could not provide, or did not feel like providing.

I have been a customer of Amazon for years now. I do most of my shopping on Amazon and have spent thousands of dollars. Recently I noticed I was unable to leave reviews on items that I bought. The reason was that I "violated company guidelines". I have never violated guidelines and I love leaving honest reviews on everything I buy. I was also a "top contributor". I contacted customer service through chat on TWO separate occasions and I was assured that my issue would be taken care of and that I could write reviews again. Well, it was never fixed. I finally emailed Amazon to see if I had better luck that way.
It took a week to hear back and I got the most insulting email ever. They told me I was receiving gift cards for my good reviews. I have NEVER once received a gift card for a good review. I have had several companies email me asking me to take off reviews in order to receive a free item or a gift card but I never did. I thought it was dishonest and not fair to leave a fake review. They told me this is permanent and they would not be responding to any more emails about this issue. They never gave me any example of where or what I did wrong. I immediately went and canceled my Prime membership and canceled my monthly subscriptions. I refuse to buy from a company that treats their customers so poorly. I'm done with Amazon for good!

Today I was on the Amazon.com site browsing when a little pop-up window solicits me... saying "download the amazon app and we will give you $10 off a $20 purchase"... I went ahead and clicked the link provided within the pop up ad. It downloaded the Amazon app and I resumed browsing. After putting $20 of items in my cart, went to check out, and lo and behold there was no $10 credit as advertised in the promotional pop up! I called customer service and after being on the phone for over a half hour and speaking to two different people I had no choice but to cancel my Prime Membership. WHY do I want to be with a company that doesn't stand by their own words!?!
They solicited me with an offer so I'm not really sure what's going through their head right now... but apparently they need the $10 more than I do, bless their little heart! All I can say is if they don't want to honor their promotions maybe they shouldn't solicit people with little pop up windows... The funny thing is not only did I cancel my Prime membership (for which they will have to refund me 120...) but I will not be renewing it again in the future!!! So they lost 120 this year and 100s in future years... Overall this was more of a blessing in disguise. Now I'm free!!! I won't have to pay 120 a year for free shipping that I use only a handful of times each year. Otherwise the only other service I was using was Amazon video... and between you and me it leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing that Netflix or Hulu can't do just as well (or better).

I saw the fee charged by Amazon in my Visa card account, but checking Amazon site, it showed that I had no orders within the past 6 months. I think that Amazon is not doing transparently. I demanded a refund and that the free month of Prime be applied to my account. They refunded me, didn't apply it. This month, wanting to buy a few things, I requested the month of Prime be applied. I had checked to see if they applied the $5.00 credit, and they had not. When I demanded it be applied, I was told I had to pay before they would apply the free month. My credit score has gone down around 50 points since my recent issues with Amazon and will no doubt go down more with the latest. Order of events: My debit card was somehow compromised after I signed up for a free Spotify account and someone bought themselves a paid Spotify account with my debit card. I shut the card down. I did NOT give my new card information to Amazon or anyone else. It literally never left my wallet. Somehow my new card was compromised again, Wells Fargo suggested it was through the "Visa Account Updater" and three people bought themselves Amazon Prime with my debit card.
I contacted customer support to ask what was up. The rep said she couldn't help me but that someone would contact me via email. She also said she would credit my Amazon account with $5 even though I said it was unnecessary but she insisted. $5 never showed, not a big deal, but it was clearly a play to get me to rate her higher in the post help survey. I waited a week. I contacted Amazon back to ask what was up and this person was able to help me and tell me that yes, there were fraudulent charges. They proceeded to tell me that they would refund my money. I waited a week. I contacted them back to ask why my money was never refunded and they gave me a vague answer about how they didn't know why it was refunded but that they could not now refund it and I would have to contact my bank. At this point I'm irked but Wells Fargo supports me and gets me my money back.
I get a notification that my credit score which was excellent is now only good. My Prime membership autorenew had been set to the original card that was cancelled and had since been deleted from my Amazon account. Instead of contacting me to ask me which card on file to use or to notify me that I needed to update which card was used for the autorenewal, they just charged one of my cards on file at random. I about lost my marbles. They charged my credit card and went over the credit limit.
This has taken place over the past 5 months but I have been a Prime member for 5 years. Why does it have to be auto-renewal? Can't I make up my mind next year or at least be warned when it's going to happen? Can't they send me an email saying that I need to pick which card to charge? The only explanation for this silent, secret way of autorenewing is so that customers won't stop to consider if they really want to renew again. Disgraceful. I've been lied to and stolen from - not acceptable. They have wasted so much of my time and hurt my credit score in such a way that I don't know how to fix it. Even though it's slightly less convenient, I'm switching most of my purchases over to eBay and Walmart.com until they get themselves together. One more incident and I'm deleting my account. It's nice that things are cheaper there, but what does that matter if they ruin my credit?

College came along and I found helpful books for my classes. After about 6+ years of being a customer I found that I have enjoyed being a reviewer of your products! Other customers had started rating my reviews as helpful and it gave me personal pride to be an Amazon customer.
Three weeks ago I found that I have been banned from making reviews because one review mentioned that I didn't receive the correct product however I was responded to immediately and was given a refund. I was trying to give a positive perspective to Amazon saying that the product was great but also the service was great and to trust ordering it even though I had an issue. Apparently the guidelines state you can't give credit to the seller. I was unaware of this until after the fact. Yes, I made a mistake in not double checking the guidelines. However, instead of being asked to revise my review. I have been completely banned from writing any reviews at all.
It took two to three weeks to be contacted by a representative of the review team after sending them several emails and calls. The response was extremely rude and stated that I will not be given a second chance at writing any reviews all because I made one mistake and was not contacted to fix it. (Every email I personally received said my review had been posted. So I didn't think anything of it. When I get an email saying that it doesn't meet guidelines I try to revise it so it does so that I can further help people.) The letter accused me of being biased about my reviews (which were all positive or close to based on personal experience with the product.) Ending with that any further contact to them will not be responded to.
I love Amazon but this experience has really hurt me as a customer. I take pride in helping others and I have only meant to be honest and helpful. I don't feel that it's fair to revoke someone of something that they have been doing for years, especially when those reviews have been found helpful by so many other customers in the past. All that I'm asking is to be reasoned with over one mistake instead of getting accused to being biased and banned over a single post. I would hope you guys to have better customer service than this towards your loyal customers. Thank you.

Since it takes less than 5 minutes to correct one of their listings I could not understand why I should be receiving such a letter when I had already informed them of the change once I saw the listing.
After 3 rounds of frustration at this, I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I hope to receive some kind of explanation of Amazon's refusal to comply. In any case, the listing is misleading and may delay or prevent sales of the book. I would not publish any books on Amazon but my distributor's contract prevents me from pulling them off. Amazon has not sold any ebooks for me since December of last year, so I have unpublished them. It would appear that this is not the same Amazon as I came to know in 2006. They have lost all credibility and their bad customer service reflects their low estimation of their sellers, buyers, and Prime members. As an independent seller I would not use Amazon to sell from if I can help it. Amazon has proved to be untrustworthy.
Updated on 07/31/2018: I received a call today from a customer service rep at 1-843-323-4400 at Amazon saying that I must go through my Author Central account to remove the series name, only there is no place to do that. You would think that after 3 tries at doing it myself I would have done so already. I added a sentence after the book's description indicating that it was not part of a series. I argued with the man for five minutes saying that there is no way I can change the series or remove it through Author Central. I had already contacted my distributor and looked at the metadata. There is no series designation for it.
I also looked at Bowker and asked them to change the metadata there to reflect that I have discontinued the series, since they also did not remove it. After weeks of continuous effort to do what would have taken less than five minutes to fix the problem, I still do not have satisfaction. I have replied to BBB's commentary with a text of the call, and a photo of the book's cover. Amazon is still refusing to remove the series from the book title. Further, I checked Author Central again and there is still no way to change anything. I checked the Amazon product page and there is no way to change anything. As far as I am concerned, Amazon is a **.

I placed all labels on the box and dropped it off at the post office. And it's been more than a month and I haven't received my money back. They even sent me a email from A to Z warranties. Hehehe saying that they will take care of it. I just got an email from them today saying that my case will be close if I don't give them info about tracking number, etc. Which I gave them. What I reply is the that I don't have the speakers and neither the money because they stole it from me. What can we do?

I'm no longer allowed to leave reviews or comments on Amazon because they say that I am either a relative to a seller or took a gift in exchange for a review or that I asked for something free in exchange for a review when I am not a relative to anyone on there nor have I received anything free. I am actually really insulted that I have been unfairly accused of something like that because I hate when people do that exact thing. I would never stoop so low. What aggravates me the most is that I am not allowed to discuss this with them, the email said that the case was closed and there is nothing I can do and I am banned for life.
So, I obviously won't be spending any more of my money there. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for years now so it actually kinda hurts. I feel like I went to trial and was judged without me even knowing or being allowed to defend myself but oh well I guess I'll spend my money at other websites. I just wish they would have shown me just what exactly it was that I supposedly did, I at least deserve to know that much.

When I first started using Amazon four years ago, it went great. It was reliable and worth the membership. Now Amazon has begun to fail miserably. My Subscribe and Save items have been delayed or not delivered for 3 months in a row and the customer service representative said “we can give you $5.” I have had to spend extra money on diapers and wipes because of Amazon’s complete failure to keep up. I have decided to go through WALMART for these items now. Not only has Amazon failed at getting items shipped on time, but they have now INCREASED their membership fee.
Considering how poorly they’re doing, I’m surprised they would increase the fee. It’s not worth it to get Amazon Prime because half the items are late. Considering Amazon is supposed to be know for “free and speedy delivery”, I’m disgusted with the service I have received. My mom’s orders have repeatedly been delayed and never delivered, and she has not been compensated. I canceled my Subscribe and Save and have decided to use another source for my child’s diapers and wipes.

Amazon business practices are the worst. They ran out of inventory and claimed the product was lost or damaged. They went as far as giving assurances that the product would be delivered 2 days later. Then sent an email to say it was undeliverable. The Leadership agent Teeja was rude and refused to provide a manager after being asked over 8 times. The Supervisor MJ made promises they could not follow through on. This is an ongoing issue of Bait and Switch with Amazon. They have lost sight of the customer and only respond to the price tag. It is a shame what it has come down to.

I recently got a letter from Amazon Customer Service stating that I had violated Community Review Guidelines. After years of posting reviews for virtually every one of over 200 purchases, I'm no longer allowed to review. I read the guidelines word for word and found NONE that were applicable to me. This bogus accusation, along with the "This decision is final" gavel pounding, and the insinuation that Amazon had no intention of entertaining ANY dialogue about the decision is a most remarkable display of arrogance.
Isn't it interesting that one would get a scalding notice from a Customer Service Dept. that basically states you've breached some protocol, but that SAME department disallows mature dialogue in one's own defense?? Having no forum for an appeal is chutzpah in the extreme! When exactly did Customer Service leave the room, and where was I when it happened?? I've since told everyone I know about this treatment, and will likely quit Amazon.

I think this company has put so many other companies out of business. They think they've got it made and no longer have to try. Nowadays, they try to frustrate customers to the point they give up asking for refunds when refunds are definitely due, and make the customer pay for THEIR mistakes. I've been a customer for around a decade, spending thousands every year. Twice now in the last year I've had something shown on the orders page as delivered that I have not received. I have a pretty good neighborhood but when delivery people leave boxes in plain view instead of ringing the bell and waiting for a signature, even when there are cars in the driveway, then they are just asking for things to get taken.
Over the years, the few times that something was stolen or misdelivered and kept by a neighbor, Amazon simply credited my account, and told me to reorder the item. That's how it should be, because I, the customer, have done nothing wrong. Whether they take it up with the delivery service or not is up to them. But both times in the last year, they've begun to do it differently. Instead of crediting me, they are holding up hoops for ME to jump through. They are asking for police reports, putting the onus on me to see this through.
First of all, we don't even know for sure an item was delivered or if the driver made a mistake (intentional or unintentional), so involving out police force is stupid and a waste of resources. They have more important things to do than to be forced to create paperwork over something we don't even KNOW happened. The first time this happened I did as they asked, and after filing the report online and linking them to it, they refunded my money. Really? That act did nothing but appease Amazon. It provides no new information whatsoever. They simply hope that if they begin doing that, a certain percentage of customers will say, screw it, and take the loss themselves. Nice way to treat long time loyal customers. I hope the new tax laws kill this company. They truly deserve it for their increasing arrogance.

After dealing with pain from an old mattress that terribly needed replaced, I ordered a new one that was to be delivered and installed. I discovered that my very old bed frame would not support the new mattress, so I needed to find something to replace it quickly. As a long time Amazon customer and a Prime member, I decided to see if they had any options that could arrive quickly. I found the Novogratz Her Majesty Upholstered Linen Bed that claimed Prime shipping and 2-3 days to ship out (now it says 1-2). It seemed like a perfect deal and I thought the stress of finding something was over. Friday rolled around and the bed still had not shipped. I called Amazon's customer service to find out what was going on. At that point the mattress was supposed to be delivered the coming Monday.
The customer service person was unhelpful and told me that the order could not be cancelled and that it was shipping (even though it did not even ship until the following Tuesday). I told him the bed didn't do me any good after Monday and asked what I was supposed to do. He told me I had to wait until it shipped and have it intercepted or I had to watch for the delivery person and reject the delivery. I then spent the weekend changing my plans and running around locally trying to find a bed frame that would accommodate the new mattress. I tried several times to cancel the order using the online tools but it would not cancel.
Finally on Tuesday, the day after I had to install the locally purchased bed frame and after the mattress delivery, I received a shipping notification. I called Amazon again and was told that they were going to try to intercept the order from UPS. After that I wrote a review on the product explaining what had happened and that the item says prime shipping but is not so that people who needed something in a hurry would have warning. They rejected my review. I have submitted several more since and they have yet to allow one to post. They obviously do not want people to know that the item does not ship out when they claim it does. The item is STILL listed as prime even after all of this. The best part is that today the bed was left sitting out front of my house, six days after it was shipped (prime is supposed to be 2 day shipping) and it was never intercepted as they claimed they were trying to do. I am leaving it sit there.
I am done with Amazon. Had they fixed the listing to reflect the fact that prime on the item wasn't true, and had they not tried to censor me warning people that it didn't ship prime, I would have continued to be a loyal Amazon customer. The dishonesty here was so bad and disrespectful, and people have the right to know that this is what their practices and customer service is now like.

We have complained several times to Amazon customer service about the bad treatment of our packages. Today was the final straw: the package was later than expected so my husband was watching for it and he actually saw the delivery guy LOB our box over the front gate! He ran out there, caught up with the guy, and said, "Hey, we would appreciate your coming in the gate and putting the box on our doorstep in the future." The rude delivery person said, "No, we’re not allowed to do that;" and took off. Unbelievable!!
I’m sorry to say that after years of being a faithful Prime subscriber, we are now looking for other places to buy our goods. (Prior times: Amazon delivery people leaned over the gate and put boxes ON our plants, right next to the sprinklers; others, they left packages out in the open next to the gate where anyone walking by could see them. Worse, on those deliveries, Amazon showed that the delivery persons wrote that they had HANDED the packages to a resident, which was totally untrue!
We’ve had 2 very nice deliveries over the last couple of months - nice young ladies that rang the bell and came to the front door per our instructions to Amazon after we had experienced several months of very bad deliveries. We never have any trouble with UPS, USPS, and FedEx - it’s only the independents Amazon is hiring to replace quality experienced delivery people with a whole bunch of untrained and disinterested individuals. I really hope that Amazon’s competitors are “listening” - Amazon is opening up a huge opportunity for its competitors and we are certainly going to start trying these out.

On March 31, 2018 I ordered 4 tires shipped and sold by Amazon. Apparently they were not in stock though I was not told this until I contacted customer service several weeks later. When i called I was told my order was on hold because the tires are now available for a cheaper price. Great! I cancelled my previous order and placed a new order as I was instructed to do.
On July 10th I finally received 1 tire. July 11th I received 2 tires. I have a tracking number for the 4th tire so I call FedEx who said they have a label but never received the package. After many calls to Amazon customer service and talking to supervisors was told there was a processing mistake and I will need to reorder my tire. But there is only one problem! Now the item says it can not be shipped to my address (I live in Alaska)! Customer service wants to ship to a different address: I don't have one.
They want to give me a credit on my account. This is all great but I still only have 3 tires and this tire is not available here in Alaska and can't find anyone to ship one tire here. I have been dealing with this situation for almost 4 months now! I understand it is expensive to ship here but you shipped 3 already, why not the 4th. Amazon would rather pay the shipping here and return shipping back rather than ship me my 4th tire! I will spend more and buy locally from now on!

If my neighbor hadn't noticed it, I would have driven right over it. Furthermore, it was fully viewable from the street and it was RAINING! So my package was soaked. After several more attempts to plead my case, Amazon has submitted a refund to me for the lost order.
Original Review: July 11, 2018
I tracked my order through Amazon closely, I usually do on more expensive orders and this one was just shy of $400. The Amazon website stated it was out for delivery on 7/2/18. Later that evening the website status changed to 7/3/18. Later that evening of 7/3/18 it changed status to "delivery may be delayed or lost". On 7/5/18 the carrier Amazon hired to deliver the product asked my child to sign off on a product they delivered on 7/3/18. No knowing any better she did. I called Amazon right away, figuring they were a large reputable company and would deal with their carrier accordingly. Amazon launched an investigation and concluded today (7/11/18) that the package was signed for and therefore is not eligible for a refund or replacement. They recommended I contact the local authorities.

Amazon has always been rated high in customer service. Yet these days they are more worried about getting through calls and chats as quickly as possible versus making sure the problem is resolved. My most recent issue (but not my only one) was an order I placed for an item fulfilled by Amazon. The item was over $100 and broke on the second use. I contacted customer service and was issued a refund and at first was told I needed to return the item. It was a rather large item that would need a special box to ship and so I was then told to keep the broken item and they would just issue me a refund.
Fast forward to a month later and I receive an email stating that they were still waiting for me to return the item and if I did not I would be recharged for it. I contact customer service again and they promised (more than once) that I would not be recharged and that they fixed the issue. Fast forward to today and my account was recharged for it. That I am pissed is an understatement. Here I am contacting them yet again, and they reissued me a refund, and again promised it would never happen again. The only way to ensure it never happens again is to close my account as soon as the refund clears and never use Amazon again. Bye.

The first issue I want to address is the necessity of checking one star reviews for every item that you are thinking about buying. If the one star ratings are 3% or less, it is a good bet that you will be happy with the product. I have saved myself thousands of dollars over the years by checking the reviews first. Secondly, dump your Amazon Prime. Most packages will arrives in three or four days even if you pick free shipping. Amazon Prime does not speed up the delivery process enough to pay for Prime.
Also, once you have gotten rid of Prime, your spending will go down drastically. Need to be on a budget? Start here. I was paying over $50.00 a month on movies that were not part of the Prime package. Lastly, the quality of the clothing available on Amazon is trash. Most of it is made in China for people who are much smaller than Americans. Seriously, do you really think you are going to get a great skirt for $6.00. Again, check the one star reviews. More than 4%, move on.

What I do not understand is why Amazon would remove all my reviews without notifying me as to why. I am now banned from writing any new reviews. I never violated their guidelines. Several years ago I did write reviews for items I had been compensated for but at that time this was allowed. I should have deleted them when the guidelines changed but frankly it kept slipping my mind. In those reviews the reviewer was required to state they were compensated and I followed those guidelines.
