For 6 months (maybe longer) every item I purchased from Amazon and was shipped via the US postal Service (USPS) has failed to arrive, yet USPS claims it is delivered. I have since learned from other people who have witnessed the deliveries, that USPS was simply leaving items on the sidewalk, in an area rife with property theft issues. Every time, Amazon would resend the items or issue a refund and make me repurchase at a higher cost. If they resent the items via UPS or FedEx, I would get them. Every time they sent an item via USPS, if it was too big to fit in my mailbox, I would not get it. 100% failure and I mean 100%.
Everything I order was not too expensive. Most items were under $50, a few were more. The last item, which triggered my current issue, was $757 on sale and I chose a series of installments. It was an Asus display, specifically a ROG PG27V. USPS left it on the sidewalk and it went walkabout. I tried to get Amazon to send a replacement or issue a refund for the initial payment. They refused, because USPS claimed it was delivered. Some reps told me it was still on its way. They all lied to me and said it would be handled. The lie they told were quite insulting, frustrating and angering. After 2 months, with Amazon continuously trying to charge me for the installments, I was told they needed a police report. I told them I need the serial number to file the police report.
I was then told, after a series of run-arounds, that Amazon doesn't keep a record of serial numbers (why would they? If they did that, customers could file police reports and Amazon would have to replace the items.). After 2 weeks, when the item was obviously stolen and Amazon kept lying to me (trying to get past the time period when a chargeback could be issued,) just stringing me along, I went to my bank and issued a chargeback. Now, I keep getting emails from Amazon about failed attempts to charge my cancelled credit card and how they will charge me if I ever give info for a new credit card on my account. I tried about 2 weeks ago, one last time, to get Amazon to resolve the issue.
I was handed, without warning, from 1 rep to another. Each one read, say they are sorry, then say they will fix it, then say they can't and away a I went, to the next. After about 50 minutes, I hit rep number 10. Rep number 10 didn't say anything. Rep #10 terminated the connection and then terminated access to my account. Now, I get harassing emails from Amazon and have no way to get them to stop. The emails they send are all from a "no reply" address. Amazon has gone from a customer-centric business to an overly automated, nightmarish fraudulent entity. They triple standards: The standards for sellers on Amazon, the standards for Amazon with low price items and the standards for Amazon with high price items.
I have items I purchased from Amazon, which are now useless because I can't supplies for them anymore. I have been injured and insulted by Amazon and their new policies, which are basically, "Lie to get the money, lie to keep the money and once you have the money, who cares about the customer or the product/service they paid for."
If Amazon had paid attention to the months upon months of complaints about USPS not delivering, because they are too lazy and have no incentive to actually do their jobs, and gave their customers options for shipping carriers, this would not have been a problem. Instead, Amazon decided to save a couple dollars on shipping cost, lost the $757 item and a customer who spent thousands per year with them. I sincerely hope they get sued into a oblivion with a very pricey class-action lawsuit that covers the lies from the customer service people as fraud, as well as the refusal to replace items not delivered, as fraud and all their other fraudulent claims and practices.

I have bought one MuveAcoustics earphone worth Rs 600 and when I have received and opened the box, I found the earbuds completely fill with dust; moreover the box was not sealed, it was just untidily taped. When I raised the request to refund my amount into my bank account, I was not getting the option. Also, I called the customer care yesterday to initiate the refund request and I will not do any more shopping with Amazon, but nothing happened and I have not received any confirmation. Again, when I called the customer service they told that there is no option for refund and I can only replace the product. I mean what, executives are not clear, sellers are selling used product. Is that AMAZON?

So, Amazon is pushing the heck out of their "Prime" service. Unfortunately, prime has become "sub-par." Amazon touts 2-day shipping with their Prime service. That is stated in the agreement, as well as on every order marked "Prime." When we ordered some lawn mower blades marked "Prime", the order, placed on August 13, for delivery on August 23. How is that "Prime 2-day shipping?"
We contacted "customer service" by phone to request they correct what we assumed was an error, only to be told that "two day shipping is only guaranteed if we live near the shipping location. If we do not, there is no guarantee of 2-day shipping." What the heck! This is BS! They said they would "make it right" with a $5 credit that we had to use within 14 days. We requested the free month of Prime for problems with Prime orders only to learn THAT was discontinued in September of 2018 (with no announcement). Well guess what? We are canceling our "Prime" subscription. Walmart.com has a similar program with no fees. Jet.com has a great selection and often has free shipping. There are too many options to pay over $11/month (IF you pay a year in advance, much more if you do not) for better service.
Lastly, in the past week my reviews have been rejected and my ability to review my purchases has been disabled not once, but TWICE! When I contacted "customer support" I was told that this is a technical problem affecting "a lot of people" and I should "try again in 24 to 48 hours." I think not. Jeff Bezos, now I understand why you said that Amazon will likely go under someday. With policies and support like this, it will be sooner than later. (Although your SNL commentary was pretty funny!)

I recently purchased a men's mountain bike and assembly service from Amazon. The bike arrived with a broken part, but it was not detected until during the assembly (for which I paid Amazon $90). I tried to contact Amazon to see if they could help me, but they stated that for products supplied by 3rd parties. (Isn't that almost everything they sell??) They won't help and their policy is for me go chase their supplier myself. It seems common sense to replace just the broken part rather than disassemble and return the entire bike at a far higher cost, but there seems to be no way to get Amazon to listen to this nor support the product THEY SOLD. My conclusion: they are a good place only for buying things that will likely never require customer service or a warranty follow-up.

Every order I have had shipping issues, from them changing dates to when the order will arrive, to damage, to orders not showing up. The latest issue I order something my mother needed while recovering from surgery. I was given Tuesday as the delivery date, after they shipped it they changed it to Thursday. However, when I was checking out I ensured it going to be delivered by the day she needed. But lo and behold they changed the delivery date after I placed the order. I have also had them try to get me to return a book that never showed up. Took 3 weeks with customer service to get this fixed. Amazon needs to get their act together.

I live in an apartment complex & I leave CLEAR instructions that my items CANNOT be delivered to my front door because they get stolen, so instead to put them on my enclosed back porch. I would say 75% of the item, this is ignored, resulting in my item stolen & me being on the phone with customer service for about an hour to get it replaced or refunded.
Lately, now they won't even do that immediately despite photo proof they screwed up. Instead, they want me to wait 2-4 DAYS after the mis-delivery to CALL BACK (and go through it all again) to try and get a refund or replacement and I wasn't given this info until I was bounced around several times over the phone. Customer service, when they can understand you, doesn't do ANYTHING now. The last one, was just going to "report" my item to Logistics and hang up on me without any discussion of replacing or refunding my item that they messed up delivering. This company has become a joke. They think they are too big to fail so they stop caring about fixing anything.

We live in an area served by "Rural Route" postal delivery boxes some distance out on the street from our residences. Some of us have long driveways. We have repeatedly had to call Amazon Logistics to complain that their drivers misdeliver packages either by not even leaving them close to us, sometimes at the wrong address, sometimes just tossing the package at the base of the RR postal box, and, worse, jamming the package into the RR postal delivery box in violation of Federal Law. AMAZON simply does not care. They sub-sub-contract the delivery to individuals who are only interested in the most speed in dropping off packages so they fail to follow Amazon's protocol of actual delivering to the address.

I’ve been with Amazon since 2003. I used to brag that they had the best customer service ever. They now have the worst. Prime can’t deliver as promised, most of items are from China and take forever to arrive not to mention who can afford a return if needed. Customer service chat is manned by incompetent, ignorant and non-caring associates who have never been trained in dealing with the public nor in the art of learning the English language. I’ve complained them on so many occasions even asking for management but nothing changes. Probably wasn’t management anyway. I told them and everyone I know that my Amazon days are over. I’ve sold my gift card balance and have left skid marks as I’ve departed. I feel relieved already.

Over the past year most of the “prime” eligible items that I have ordered have rarely been delivered within the two day delivery window. I preferred several special gifts on 11/18 that were needed by Thanksgiving. On 11/21 around 1 pm I checked my account to see that the delivery had been pushed back to 11/22-11/24. Well that wasn’t good. When contacting customer service I get the standard “we apologize for the inconvenience “. They really don’t care because they will do just fine without my business, but I also own stock, which I will be selling as well. While they are discounting memberships for “some” we all pay the price. Not to mention that price will be going up in January. Just go directly to the company you want to order from, at least that way you will get true information rather than empty promises. Thanks for ruining my Thanksgiving AMAZON!

Over the last few months, the Prime items I'm ordering from Amazon are consistently late. Very few are delivered within the Prime 2-Day shipping window, and many are delivered days or even WEEKS later. I ordered a box of pens on 11/9, marked as Prime eligible for 2-day shipping, and they didn't arrive until 11/20. I called customer service 3 times during the waiting period, and was eventually issued a refund for the item even though I got to keep them when they arrived. I placed an order on 11/19 ago for a housewarming gift for a friend that was slated to be delivered today (11/21, the day before Thanksgiving). I just got an email that delivery has been pushed to 11/22-11/24, which is after the housewarming party that I need the gift for. I attempted to chat with an Amazon customer service agent, who was useless and refused to do anything - he would not refund the item or my Prime membership, offered no apology or explanation.
I called customer service and asked for a supervisor, who I re-explained this whole situation to, and also refused to do anything. If he issued a refund, he would have to cancel the delivery of the item (I call BS) and he would not refund my Prime membership (which really seems like the least they can do at this point). I asked to speak to the same supervisor that handled my issue last week, he refused. I asked for another supervisor and he said "No, I won't do that", so I hung up - because this is INSANE.
I just tweeted at @AmazonHelp begging them to value their Prime members more than this and have not seen a response come through yet. Bottom line - they must do better. I am NOT renewing my Prime membership and will not continue to order through Amazon (where I admittedly spend thousands of dollars a year because it's so easy to shop there).

Over the last year Amazon Prime promises of delivery has failed over and over. I'm one of those people who is willing to pay more for something I can have sooner, the main initial reason why I had a prime account. However, over the last year, Amazon products guarantee a delivery date but once you make the purchase, this delivery date will often change. I've called customer service on several occasions and they are either extremely helpful or totally useless. If you think it's worth paying for an Amazon Prime account for guaranteed delivery, think again. It's totally becoming a bait and switch! The once wonderful service of its guaranteed promise to deliver is failing big time and few in customer service will admit it. I've had so many issues with this, I can't possibly be the only one it's happening to. There are so many other sites that are cheaper, why waste your money on Amazon. Shame on you Amazon.

I ordered an air purifier on Amazon Prime, because I became sick from the unhealthy air in Bay Area, CA due to fires. I was going to purchase a better air purifier from Costco but they would not deliver until the 20th of Nov. Amazon Prime assured delivery by the 18th of Nov. Today, I got a text message that finally my package was out for a delivery. I watched the driver's GPS to literally stop maybe 300 yards away from my house and then, he/she turned away and drove in a totally different direction. I contacted Amazon.
Apparently the driver was instructed to return. Nope. It would have taken no more than 10-15 min. for the driver to return and deliver my package. But, the driver has driven to a different city and Amazon shipping company website tells me that the package will be likely delivered on the 20th. Apparently even Amazon staff is powerless to improve shipping of their sold products especially when they use the AMZL (Amazon Logistics). They will most likely deliver the air purifier by the time our air quality will improve with upcoming rains. Infuriating.

I've had to deal with customer service from Amazon multiple times. They are either amazing or absolutely atrocious. And I have to say 9:10, it's the latter. I have been just plain lied to, misinformed, treated like I was stupid, been ignored, had to deal with a clear language barrier, etc. The latest event was for an item that was mistaken canceled. I contacted Customer Service ASAP, the rep never really answered my questions or paid attention to what I was saying. Kept saying things that had NOTHING to do with my issue. I don't know if they are trying to help too many people at one time, don't care, or maybe they don't have a good enough grasp of the English language. Could be any of these or a combination. They do this to me all of the time.
They also tend to lie in order to get me off the chat/phone. Every time I contact them about shipping issues they tell me it is resolved and won't happen next time. Then the next rep tells me the previous didn't finish the paperwork. They are different, and they will now fix the issue. Well, it's never resolved, and the next rep tells me the same thing. If I complain that that's exactly what the last rep said, they tell me again, that they are doing it. Well, it's been about ten reps in, and still no fix. So irritating. They also never take responsibility for this, they're always "putting in a report." Nothing ever changes.

I called Amazon on 15 Nov and had discussion with customer care person. He assured me I will get that next day on 16 Nov and he informed that it happened due to some technical error in Amazon. I waited till Saturday and called again to Amazon for same subject, customer care person said, “Sorry to call twice for same subject” and assured again I will get both things very soon.
Even I called Amazon before placing order and discussed all points before placing OnePlus 6t phone 6, that time customer person told me in simple words that you will get Amazon pay and bullet air phone automatically in account as you pre-book it then only I had placed order. This is completely miss guiding by Amazon customer care person. Usually I have good experiences with Amazon and its customer service reps, but after todays online customer service chat I am horrified at some of the people Amazon employs. Enter employee Ruchitha. I was trying to get a print out label for my roommate since he doesn't have Prime and isn't really internet savvy. After he had bought a dvd that wasn't playable in the country, he called customer service and a rep said they were going to send him the correct one. They sent him the same, wrong item. So he had 2 returns to do.
He called and they emailed him the link to the return label. (Mind you, it was one return label, for two separate items, which was wrong off the start). I wanted to print the labels out and take them to UPS myself, since I had another return of my own to send back. Well, I spent an HOUR on the chatroom with Ruchitha. She kept stringing me on, purposefully, sending me the wrong information, clearly being unhelpful made her feel better. For half an hour, she kept telling me to check roommate's email address as she has sent the correct return label. It never got sent, he had to check his phone 6 times and didn't receive a thing she said. She only sent me emails regarding my Amazon account and recent returns I had made. And she avoided answering any standard questions I had regarding what she has said.
From the beginning, she was taking way longer than necessary to get to the point. Nobody should be in a chatroom for 50 minutes with a "customer service representative" trying to resolve a problem that could have been cleared up in 15 minutes. It is the last time I will use Amazon chat services. Why develop and implement such a thing as "Customer Service Chat" if it's going to cause even more problems than Phone Service. And why hire people with poor customer service skills. It's a chatroom for God's sake. Nobody was forcing her to do to anything physical or mental. It would be God awful for Ruchitha to be working in a retail store considering she can't even handle retail online.

There was a time I was a super-Amazon fan-boy, but those days are long past. If AMZ is good at one thing these days, it is finding new and innovated ways to anger their customers. I try to find the best deal with products all the time and use what discounts where I can. Apparently, AMZ does not like this and has taken to locking people out of their ability to comment on products if they feel you are not paying the top price. Today I had the simplest question about a feature on an item I bought on AMZ, but cannot ask the question as apparently, I am persona non grata these days. I got the product with a discount via research on the net.
The service still works overall, but the writing is clearly on the wall with this company. Along with the rising costs of Prime, vendor quality declining and near non-existent customer service these days, I expect I won't be a Prime member for long... And not by my choice either. Tales of members having their accounts terminated are becoming more frequent these days along with vendor dissatisfaction stories. In response, I have started finding other sources for the items I want. AMZ is too big to fight and with a little research, you can find just about any product for the same or less. What is missing is the quick convenience of the sale and shipping.

Guys, Amazon say customer satisfaction is first but I had a very very bad experience with Amazon 2 days back. I had ordered MI A2 phone 10 days back and since I was out of station, the moment I ordered the phone I gave a call to customer support to reschedule it. They assured me it would be delivered on 14th November as per my request. After all this communication you won't believe the courier guys used to give me a call daily for delivering the product and I used to tell the same story that it's being rescheduled to 14th. It was really irritating and disheartening.
I had invested so much time to buy this model. In fact I got it at a very good deal (around 10800 including a pay offer) because I got it during the Diwali sale. Finally on 14th I got a message on phone telling my order would be delivered before 9pm but no one came or called me. I called customer support immediately because I was afraid if the order would get cancelled. They gave me false promises telling delivery would be attempted in 24 hours. My bad luck, nothing happened after that. Yesterday (17th November) I got a message telling my order got cancelled for no reason.
I seriously don't understand what internal problem or organizational flaw they have in communicating the same to delivery partners. From my experience customer service guys have no role in rescheduling the courier. They are simply sitting there to give false promises. The delivery partners and customer support have a complete 180 degree phase shift, whatever you tell them will not be communicated to concerned department.
I escalated the issue and spoke to a supervisor in customer support. He just told "I understand that you were waiting for the phone and you got it at a very good deal, only thing we can tell you is we couldn't serve you better this time and we are helpless at this time. We shall hope for more offers in future so that you can place the order." Such a irresponsible and illogical response. Also the order got damaged during transit-it seems so it was returning back to warehouse. My question is if it is damaged during the transit then wasn't their responsibility to get me a replacement? Those who read my message one humble request is don’t trust on customer support guys. They only talk well and give you FALSE COMMITMENTS. If AMAZON doesn't change their strategies I am sure you will be soon wiped out of the market, the only reason being customer dissatisfaction.

Over the years I have had packages lost, been charged for items in error, and experienced other issues. So has my husband, who has his own Amazon.com account.
Three days ago I tried to review a CD I did not like. The review went up just fine. When my husband also tried to review the CD, his review was denied, and mine was taken down. I figured that although I have learned to follow all of Amazon's many rules about reviewing, and there was absolutely nothing "wrong" with either of our reviews, that it was just it glitch in the system. It wasn't. So I experimented. I tried to review just one of the songs on the CD and got a large red "You are not permitted to review this item!" warning.
I've phoned. I've been on live chat (for almost three hours, yesterday). I've emailed. I've plead my case. And nobody has responded. And every time I go to that CD's detail page, I get that big red warning. I had reviews turned down in the past, but I honestly wanted this one to be seen, to warn people about problems. If Amazon is going to censor my freedom of speech when I am following all of their many rules and regulations, I will absolutely shut down Prime and Kindle Unlimited, and stop shopping at their site. Tell me I'm stupid. Tell me I complain too much. Tell me I dress funny. But do not take away my freedom to express my opinion.

The past six months have left me feeling like Amazon’s promise on 2 day shipping with Prime is a joke and false advertisement. We are paying for Prime and not getting what we pay for. It’s like paying for a product and not receiving it. I’ve had items returned to the seller because Amazon has said they couldn’t deliver to my address halfway through shipping. I’ve had several Prime items take 3-7 days to be delivered because of “delays”. And prices for Prime have gone up. It would be nice to have Amazon go back to being a company that we could rely on again.

I had been a long time Amazon and Prime customer. Although I rarely post reviews, my review privileges were permanently disabled due to their assertion that I was not abiding by community guidelines. After emails and calls to customer service to understand what happened, the only information I received was that they asserted that I was somehow connected or receiving compensation from a vendor for my reviews. This couldn't be further from the truth. With no way to resolve the situation I closed my Amazon account and ended my relationship with their services.
Amazon has a problem in that they were getting a large number of bad actors and had to crack down on fraudulent reviews and have done so with zeal. Unfortunately the bad actors adapt and get better at not getting caught and finding new ways in. Good customers, can get accidentally caught in a simple mistake or be a victim of stolen user data with the limited tools and policies that Amazon currently has to monitor reviews. Instead of working with the customer to resolve a potential mistake or misunderstanding which in the long run would be better for everyone, Amazon simply cuts them off with no recourse.
Basically they are big, make lots of money, and don't care about the collateral damage of their policies on some customers. For me it was a matter of principle. Now that there are many good alternative vendors out there (many offering free shipping to compete), I'm going to take advantage of that and not reward Amazon for unfair customer service behavior in the future.

We ordered a furniture storage bench. Box and package arrived damaged. Spent 4 days trying to resolve the issue with customer service. Customer service over email authorized refund that did not have my consent and requests furniture to be shipped back with us going out to get a box. Called them back to explain to them the situation. Agreed to have company sent a replacement and the damaged furniture will be shipped back in the new replacement box. Card was charged again but replacement was not scheduled as originally promised and told that it could not be done this way. We wasted 4 days trying to resolve this issue. Just a terrible experience overall. Wasted our time and money.
By the end of the ordeal, I likened what they are requesting me to do as a relay gauntlet for something. I have kept my end of the bargain. We went above and beyond as a customer with our time and money only to have limited options from supervisors, who really does not have any more authority or creative solutions than the other agents. So we are keeping something that does not work and eating the cost.
What is sad and upsets me is that Amazon is so pervasive now that there's really nothing I can do but let them set these terms. I usually don't like to leave venting reviews but this has been such an emotional and personal taxing ordeal that I felt compelled to share. I do appreciate that a few agents I spoke to remained calm and tried to empathize. However, at the end of the day, they made me pay for something that was damaged. They still wasted my time and money (and requests more of my time and effort to fix the multiple mistakes they created) and I feel that should not be overlooked.

In the past couple years the company has really gotten bad. Shipping out used items they claimed were new, shipping me out empty packages that are stamped by USPS saying "received with no contents" And then when I write a review stating the facts that they sent me an empty package they have now blocked me from writing any reviews at all. I was in the top 1% of ranking reviewers and now I'm blocked because they say my review is biased? They shipped me an empty envelope... Simply put, if you don't agree with Amazon or have anything positive to say you're not allowed to post, they had become just like Facebook. They have even removed the not helpful button from reviews, only positive lies are allowed. Now you can't write the truth.

They raise the price from $99 to $120 but the service got worse. First, their own brand delivery company (Amazon Logistics) used to false claim the packages have been delivered but in fact, they lost it in transit. Second, their customer service is extremely ridiculous! They refused to assist, appear impatient throughout the call, transfer me to different department back and forth. Lastly, most companies do not recognize Amazon. No warranty even if you pay full price. I suggest you buy directly from the official site. They usually offer free shipping. Don't waste your $120 for unreliable shipping and service.

I cannot give a review on this because I have not received it. I ordered it and two days later got an email that it was going to be late. I called Amazon and talked to a supervisor because the email had said that it was sent to the wrong shipper and in fact it was not even shipped out yet two days later. The supervisor said she would call and do what she can to get it out. I received an email the same day that it was finally shipped. Just received an email again two days later saying it is not on track and will be late again. I looked to see why and instead of it going from Baltimore to Charlotte no it is now in Philadelphia. Amazon is so incomparable. Late shipments are a norm for Amazon lately. If you want something for Christmas do not get it from Amazon. Get in from any place else. At least you will have it in time. Nothing but idiots from Amazon. This is a review I sent to Amazon and they said they could not post it. They don’t want anyone to know the truth.

Mad about them not even sending me an email. Not worth the free delivery. I got Prime because of the speed not the cost. Once and "if" I will receive my package I'm canceling! UPDATE: I seldom order "same day delivery" - I just don't have the need very often. But I have used it about 3 or 4 times. I have never received the item I ordered on the same day. Never. But I haven't ordered very often; so I have just chalked it up to being random. Last night (Thursday night), my backup hard drive began to fail, and I needed to order a replacement ASAP. Because my work day today was so packed, I decided to try the same day delivery option. I was careful to check before I submitted the order to make sure that, indeed, it was scheduled for delivery by 9 pm tonight (Friday night). The website even said "Delivery by 9 pm Friday."
I received an email at 5:59 pm stating, "Your package will arrive Friday, November 16th." "On the way." Then, I received an email at 8:04 pm stating, "Your package is still on the way, but it's running late. Now expected November 17 - November 20 — most packages arrive in a day. We’re sorry it won’t arrive today, and we'll let you know when your package is out for delivery. You can always track your package for the latest updates."
Really? What about that "Guarantee?" At least they are consistently inconsistent. But I can't wait, so I am going to cancel the order. Amazon shouldn't have a "Guaranteed Delivery" statement when they can't meet that expectation. Not only can't they meet that expectation, but they have given themselves permission to delivery up to 5 days late. I ordered on the 15th. As I mentioned in my other review, when you choose a company that has "free delivery," you truly do learn the meaning of "you get what you pay for." I love the Amazon concept; however, I would prefer to buy from companies with dependable delivery services.
Original Review: Over the past few months, the delivery service for Amazon has dropped to the lowest level I have seen. I live in a gated condominium community (no office) where Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc all have access codes to enter the property. In the past, Amazon used UPS or FedEx for most deliveries, so we didn't have any issues. Apparently, as a means of saving money, Amazon uses non-employee delivery people (somewhat like Uber) to deliver packages, and there is no way to guarantee anything about deliveries anymore.
Some of the drivers have started throwing the boxes over the fence into the garage - often breaking the items. Other drivers have been leaving packages in random places around the parking garage. Sometimes those packages are stolen. The company we have managing our property and I have tried to reach someone at Amazon to figure out a solution, but it is like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Nothing changes. I'd rather pay extra and order from another company who uses reputable delivery companies. At some point, "free delivery" truly becomes an example of "you get what you pay for."

Also Amazon's prices have gotten higher than other providers, but I thought that maybe the cost of convenience, along with paying Prime. Now however, I'm paying higher prices, PRIME, AND NOT GETTING CONVENIENT DELIVERY when I need it. I'll not be renewing my Amazon Prime again. I have been waiting the entire day for the order to arrive! Finally, I tracked the order and was informed that it would not arrive until 11/16/2018 and was being passed off to USPS. If USPS runs true to form, I will be lucky to see my order by 11/17/2018! This is not the first time Amazon Prime has missed a delivery date! Amazon is really getting sloppy!
Using USPS to save Amazon money is a bad idea. The U.S. Postal Service is extremely inefficient and costly to taxpayers and should be closed down! By subsidizing the USPS and paying for a "PRIME" membership, I am paying twice for a delivery which has yet to arrive! I believe that Amazon has grown too large and arrogant, taking most of its customers for granted and making communication with Customer Service difficult if not impossible! And NOW I go out to my mailbox on a RAINY day to pick up a package and discover it was DROPPED IN THE GRASS NEXT TO MY MAILBOX!!! I was on the fence about a membership renewal in 2019 but now I doubt I will! The best thing about the OLD Amazon was their customer service and they've lost that completely!!!

Even without Amazon Prime 2 day delivery this is unbelievable! And concerning the 2 day Prime feature that no longer exists, I was never even given a heads up that it was not going to be available anymore. This shirt is an example of what happens when Amazon leaves the shipping up to the individual sellers and I'll be using Amazon a lot less now and not paying for a Prime Membership a year from now. This experience may be unique and doesn't happen often but I'd rather drive to a store and make sure I have the item than rely on ordering things like birthday and holiday gifts and not know if they'll arrive in time!!!

Amazon promised to deliver 2 days later. 5 days later - NO TIRES. We call customer service and they tell my husband all is well - they will be delayed. 10-days later - NO TIRES. This is of course after my bank pre-authorized $805. My husband calls again - customer service rep tells him that the tires are NO LONGER AVAILABLE from that seller. We tell the seller, Forget it, cancel the order and we will buy elsewhere.” The rep cancels the order and sends my husband an email that order was cancelled.
2 weeks later, Amazon takes $805 out of my account. We call and inquire, they tell us that the order was never actually cancelled by the last rep. BUT only 2 tires are available and they already shipped, so too late to cancel. The other 2 are unavailable from the same seller!!! Great, so we now have 2 tires. Progress... We ask that they cancel the remainder of the order and refund us for the 2 tires. The refund takes 3-5 days... Here we are, out $805, with 2 tires coming God knows when and we have to wait for the refund to get the other 2! All of this was combined with horrible customer service. I am incredibly disappointed.

The day before the item was released, I got an email saying my order had been shipped. I was hoping to get it the next day since that's what it usually takes. But when I checked the tracking on the Amazon website, my order wasn't really shipped. It was only transferred to another Amazon warehouse. The carrier didn't have any info since it didn't have the package. But my credit card was already charged. It was only shipped 4 days later. I finally got it today, but I'm still mad at Amazon.
That's just the latest problem I got. It started when they started to use a local carrier other than Canada Post. They would come at any time of the day, complain that our address wasn't visible enough and the tracking never worked. We tried to avoid them by shipping to the post office, but sometimes they would still use them. Also Amazon now sells so much stuff that they seem to have forgotten about some of the products they have always sold, like books and CDs. The products are often out of stock, not enough are ordered for those who pre-order and a lot are sold by "other sellers" who charge much more. And books are almost never on sale, except Kindle e-books. I now buy almost all of my books at Indigo. At least they put their books on sale and no crappy local carriers.

Representative said that she contacted with USP (as I understand now, it was false).
On Tuesday I didn’t get my package too. Again, I tried to figure out with customer service what’s going on. And same thing, they were telling me that they checked it and everything is ok, I will get it tomorrow. Now, I woke up in the morning, check my email, where I found an email notifying me that my package was lost and suggesting to call shipper and claim it. What??? That’s ridiculous. I gave you my money and I have to investigate where you lost my package?
Shame on you guys. I understand all of us are making mistakes (like scanned in wrong location) but it shouldn’t result on final result (like lost package). Representatives! Be responsible! Tell the true! It’s easier for you to tell what customer want to hear but it doesn’t resolve the problem. You need to provide REAL help and figure out what happened with order. Lately, I have waited and waited for my 2 day shipment to arrive. The "delivery contractors" give excuses that are lies - "had the wrong gate code," "neighbor would not accept," "business was closed," "left at doorstep." I am a business that is open 24/7 365 days a year. There is always someone here. Tracking says the item shipped a week ago, but then, after 2-1/2 hours of "chat" time, customer service admits that the item hasn't shipped. They are a call center trained to use words such as disappointment, frustration, and inconvenience. They also use your 1st name "to build that relationship". Sometimes they will re-send the product and the original arrives several weeks later. Sometimes it does not, making me question if the item was EVER sent.
When you are checking out a purchase, Amazon has begun offering steep credits and discounts if you opt NOT to have 2 day shipping leading me to believe that they are well aware that they cannot fulfill the promise that they made when they charged you for your Prime membership. Prime Pantry is another separate membership. I believe that this is a form of theft by deception - taking your money when they know they cannot perform the fulfillment of their portion of your contract.
After reviewing how many Billions (with a B) they take in from these memberships, Amazon doesn't have to sell a darn thing to make a substantial profit. I would like to see a consumer advocate group investigate their practices. I wouldn't be writing if it was a once-in-a-while occurrence, but this is becoming more and more frequent. Since seeing their requests for customers to forego the benefits of Prime membership, I also believe that Amazon is well aware that this is neither a temporary deficit nor anything they anticipate remedying soon.

I have been a Amazon customer ever since they very first started business. I have never had any kind of issues with anything. And off I just so happened to the issue was resolved right away. As of right now unfortunately I own a Kindle Fire and enjoy playing a lot of their games. When I first started playing them I never really had the thought of making any kind of in-app purchases. I would practice the game first before I even bothered to make the in-app purchase. I would always keep a prepaid debit card on file, never my actual bank card or credit card and thank God I didn't. Because you will get ripped off regardless how the transaction was made.
The issue with my account is that to make things easier I'll either buy game coins or load funds into my gift card balance, because Amazon claims they have a no refund policy for in-app purchases. Now here's the thing. Roughly about four months ago I started noticing strange activity going on with my account. For example one time I had $1.47 available in my gift card balance and roughly about 139 in game app coins okay. So I go and log into my game and decided to make an in-app purchase. The order was taking a few minutes to process which means it's going to decline, because I wasn't even thinking with the amount of coins I had and my gift card balance wasn't enough to cover the transaction for $2.99. So I want for the app to change the special to $1.99 because I had plenty for that one.
15 minutes later it shows up and I place the order which that one declined too. So I go and check my order history and my coins, and remaining balance to my prepaid debit card which declined so the whole transaction declined. But they took two forms of a payment from me so I contact them and tell them the transaction declined but funds were still removed. So of course they want to play stupid and try to argue with me by telling me that I wasn't charged when I had proof right in front of my face. So I waited a few hours then contacted them again and the rep basically said in-app purchases are nonrefundable and the amount that was removed from my gift card balance will automatically go back. Yeah sure it will. I've been waiting for over a week.
So yesterday I decided to send a email to Amazon's customer service pretty much telling them that they think they're slick and can't fool me. I'm a little smarter than that and I want my money back asap. Now this gets even more ridiculous. A rep emails me back apologizing and said they were issued back to me and for the inconvenience she issued me $10 in promotional credit. So I thought to myself in, "Cool. I can get the $2.99 special I wanted." I go to purchase it and it declines. Now I am missed. I contact them again to see if it was even issued. She was nice and said it was issued and I have already used it. I said, "Excuse me. No, I haven't. I just barely got it not even 5 minutes ago." Once again no refunds by this time. I'm behind pissed. I had to wait until the next day for me to calm my nerves before I contacted them.
So I contact them the next day and thought I hit Jackpot when I told the rep about the issues that I was having with my account. She see it for herself and said I was owed several refunds for declined transactions where funds shouldn't have been removed to begin with but told me she was transferring me over to tech support because the further you go back in months the harder it gets. So I was transferred and gave the rep the time he needed to read the chat. Comes back on, tells me to give him a few minutes he's going to look at my account.
He had me waiting for a little bit over 20 minutes. Comes back on and says, "This has been going on for a while I see." I said, "Hello. That would be why I've been complaining about this for just about four months already and nothing is getting done." He then turns around and says he processed the refunds owed for Oct and Nov. He went back as far as March and I'm owed money. Now it's putting funds back into my gift card balance and coins back into my coin balance and I should see it within 24 hours. Well I was so busy the next day I ended up forgetting about it so once I realized it I called.
The lady had a bad attitude, was taking her sweet time looking into the situation and was beyond unprofessional. Comes back on and says, "You were issued a lot of refunds and credits. What is the reason because this is unacceptable." I said, "Excuse me. They're for declined orders but yet funds were still removed from my account." She said, "That's not possible." I said, "Well it is now. Look into my account." She comes back on and says, "I see what you're talking about but like I mentioned before in-app purchases are nonrefundable." I said, "Hum I never got the item because it declined." She said, "It's the risk you take." No I don't think so. It's been well over a week and still no refunds unless they took those too. Because this is another way that Amazon will rob you when it comes to making a in-app purchase.
Let's say you make a purchase for $1.99 but you only had a $1.00 available and wasn't thinking. You're going to get a automated system email from Amazon saying due to a problem with your payment they're not able to process the order. You can use a different payment method of they will try again but they don't tell you when. And this is the other way they were pretty much stealing from me because they would monitor my account and as soon as they notice a transaction was made they would run through at least two of the declined orders and of course I don't get the items. I call to report unauthorized transaction because it's obvious that it's a different card used and they refuse to issue a refund because they are the ones that did it and try to tell me it was someone in my household. Sure it was like as if you know who lives here.
So if you don't want money stolen from you don't have any declined transactions because they never void them out. They leave them there so they can charge you and hope you wouldn't notice. It's ridiculous because they're up to something. Like I said I've been a customer for way too long and now all of a sudden for my digital transaction history I can only view the six most recent ones when it was able to view the whole month and about three months at a time. I want my money back asap.

Amazon doesn’t take its customers seriously. This is supposed to be my wedding ring. Was supposed to arrive no later than November 9th, Amazon tracking said it would be here November 8th by 8pm. Then all of a sudden it was delayed until the 14th. 9 days after ordering the product, IT HASNT EVEN BEEN SHIPPED. I have no tracking information. Customer service was of no help because even they say it hasn’t been shipped. And instead of finding the item and rush shipping it like they should, I’m supposed to wait until November 14th to see if it even shows up. I’m supposed to get married in less than a month, and Amazon is ruining the whole process. I stopped using Amazon a long time ago because of this issue and after 5 years, nothing has changed. Will never use Amazon again. Worst company I’ve ever had experience with, hands down.

I've been an Amazon Prime member for several years. I've placed one or two orders per month for most of that time. My Prime items have always arrived in two days. I recently placed an order with nothing but Prime items. As in the past. I was expecting it in two days. When it didn't arrive, I checked the website only to find it hasn't even shipped yet. It showed that they don't expect delivery for another four to nine days. I went on chat to ask about my order. They explained that two day shipping means two days from whenever they get around to shipping it. When I questioned it, I was told that was always the policy. I explained I'd never had to wait more than two days for any of my previous orders, but they couldn't come up with an explanation. I canceled Prime. The main reason I was paying for it was the free two day shipping. Prime no longer has a value to me.

I have been an Amazon customer pretty much as long as they existed and a Prime member for about a decade now. I am currently in the process of shutting down my account. Between the nightmares I've heard about how they treat their employees and their invasions of privacy, I was already starting to decrease purchases. Then I started to notice how many crappy 3rd sellers they had (quite a few from China that are important in products that are unsafe). Then it was very clear their reviews are mostly fake, and they do very little to regulate that. I had to use a third party website to scan reviews each time to get an honest idea if they were legit.
The first nail in the coffin was Amazon's insistence to start sending me packages using their Logistics deliveries. Logistics is unprofessional (their drivers do not wear uniforms, can come at all times of the day - including the middle of the night - and are often late), and it's creepy. They take pictures of your doorstep without permission - and it's very difficult to opt out of. The final nail was recently learning of their warehouse collapse and the death of employees inside - right in my own state.
I'm tired of Amazon's sleazy business practices. I used to use their subscribe and save for dry goods every month for years, but I shut that down as I have decided to seek out more ethical and professional businesses to rely upon. It's been 2 months and maybe I ordered 2 things from them. I will eventually completely shut off my account when I transfer my Kindle books to PDFs... Oh, that's another creepy they do - Amazon doesn't really sell e-books. They *rent* them. They will delete your Kindle books if you shut down your account. Luckily, there are ways to get around this, but we shouldn't have to. Shame on you, Amazon! You are no longer a legitimate business. The fact you exist in our country makes us all the closer to a 3rd world nation than a progressive country. Good riddance and kiss my butt!

I ordered a product with Amazon Prime that I needed in two days because I run a business and I needed one of my machines fixed. I was at home. Nobody rang my doorbell or knocked on my door. I went outside because I had an email that my items were delivered, there were two boxes sitting on my doorstep instead of three. One of my items was missing but they said all were delivered. I called Amazon and spoke with Shantel who got me in touch with UPS who told me my items were delivered. I told them I didnt get all my items and they said they would investigate the situation but could not give me an update until Monday.
To get my item fixed I had to put down a deposit and schedule a time for it to be fixed Saturday which is why I have Amazon Prime so I can make sure I get my items within 2 days. I then called Amazon back and at first Amy told me I could reorder the item and wait until Wednesday to get my item back. I explained to her why I needed it sooner. If I ordered an item Wednesday why should I have to wait for 7 days to get my item when I am paying monthly for Amazon Prime. She then suggested that they could credit me with a gift card and they will expedite the delivery. She told me I had to wait one to two hours for this to be done and then I needed to call back in, order the item with her and she would expedited.
Instead of them crediting me with a gift card they credited my account and I have to wait 3 to 5 business days to get my money back. Then I called and spoke to Kate who also at first suggested that I wait until Wednesday. I told her this was unacceptable and I am was not happy with their decision. She then was able to expedite my package but I still have to wait until Monday. This is a big inconvenience for me. I am running a business and I'm not able to get things done in a timely manner that I need to so I will be canceling my Amazon Prime account. I will not order anything from them anymore and they need to fix how they are running their business and how their delivery drivers are dropping packages off as well as their customer service agents telling me numerous different things and not fulfilling their obligations.

I've been a Prime customer without issue for years, but things have gotten progressively worse in the past few months. I placed an order on Tuesday, November 6th, and the FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING had the items arriving on Thursday, the 15th. I fully understand the 2 days only applies to when the item is shipped, this never used to be an issue either, but 7 business days is unacceptable for an item that is in stock. So I chatted with a customer service agent or 3, they seem to randomly disconnect when they can't respond to your question with something directly from their script. One told me it was a "rare occurrence" that an item could be out of stock to my zip code. When I mentioned it was 6 items and 6 "rare occurrences" in one order seemed a bit strange, they disconnected. The final one promised he'd update my shipping to the fastest speed.
They sent the items via UPS Ground, which was 5 day shipping. I work in shipping and know how to read the tracking label. The first 6 digits are the sender's account number and the next 2 are the shipping speed. 03, my service code, means the order was shipped ground. When I told a customer service rep my order definitely wasn't shipped at the fastest speed, they tried blaming UPS for the failure to deliver the package as soon as possible. When I mentioned that whoever shipped it at Amazon sent it ground, I was, MIRACULOUSLY, disconnected again. The last agent I dealt with seemed to just be a robot. None of their responses made any sense with what I was asking and when I asked if they were human, they sent one final response that made no sense before ceasing to respond at all.
Prime membership is up in less than a week and I wanted to know if these problems were going to be persistent or weather related, as one agent tried telling me, and I kept being told that my feedback would be sent to the appropriate department. I tried asking for a free month of Prime so I could see if this was truly a weather issue or not (I highly doubt it because an order placed to my brother, he lives 30 minutes from me, on the 10th would arrive the 13th, but for me it was the 14th - 21st) and I was told that they no longer can do that. With the promise of free Prime level shipping for everyone this holiday season, I can't imagine things will get better. It also makes me wonder why my cost of Prime has gone up over the years while it's being offered for discounted and free rates to others.

I had a chat with their representative. I was frustrated but polite. I was talking about some problems I've been facing with Amazon package deliveries. I was complaining that the service I was provided was not a "Prime service." Suddenly, the representative called Joyce took things personally. "It's not ME who delays the packages, you should vent to Jeff [Bezos]" and generally being rude and passive-aggressive. A horrible experience.

So I ordered a men's coat for my brother. He's 6 foot 8. I ordered a 4X received medium. I emailed the original manufacturer and told them it was the wrong size, then I called customer service and let them know that I was having problems. They said I had to wait 2 to 3 business days for the company to respond legitimately and then they would help me file an A to Z claim. The representative I spoke to at the time said it is my fault for not reading the product description of the manufacturer.
The manufacturer says order two sizes larger than what you need. So for a 2X product I should order a 4X like I had done. I explain to the representative that I had done that, even though Amazon should get after their manufacturers for mislabeling products. The original manufacturer replied. I asked for a prepaid postage label. They replied with an address label with the return address that I had to pay postage on. I called Amazon customer service back. Got a different woman. She sent an email to them saying that they needed to send me a return label not a postage label. They replied again. They said they already sent me a return label. When I asked for a postage label.
I called Amazon again and let them know that I had received the same thing. They said because they had responded to me, that I now have to wait another 2 to 3 business days for them to correct the matter. I called again. They emailed and said they needed to send me a return label not a postage label. The original manufacturer wrote me back. Said they sent me a return label. Again needed a postage label. This is about the fourth time. I've spoken to somebody. I finally explained what was going on. I said you've allowed them too many opportunities. Every time they reply they reply with the same message. Could we just stop? I'm tired of dealing with this.
So she help me file an A to Z claim this morning. The claim was denied. No explanation as to why it was denied. I called this morning. Ask the representative why the claim has been denied, what do I do to get a refund back and how the hell do I get rid of the product. She was very rude and basically sent me a copy of the email that I had already received which said my claim was denied. She said, "Follow the links and it'll tell you how to file your own claim. You have to file an appeal for the A to Z review." I went to the email, there was no link, but there was some of font hidden at the very bottom, that I was able to copy and paste into my browser bar from there I followed the instructions.
It said; "Go to order, go to to the product you are having problems with scroll to the bottom, go to having problems with product and then go to refile appeal." I could not find the link. I called customer service back. I walked the representative through every step that I had done. She said that does not sound like the directions were correct. She was going to try to help me from there. She told me I have to pay to have the products shipped back then give them a copy of my receipt and they will refund a percentage of my return and/or the original value of the product. I was in the post office at the time that I was speaking to the representative.
I gave her the number for the receipt at the time. She said I was only allowed to have store credit through Amazon instead of them refunding it to my bank account and I had originally explained that I did not have enough funds in my bank account to send the product back which is why I was requesting for the original shipper to pay for the cost of shipping because I was not the person at fault. I also tried to go into Amazon to review the product and let buyer beware of the product that was having problems with. Amazon has locked me out of being able review the product or any product on Amazon. Because they say I'm too biased against Amazon. Well I am now.
So to reiterate what I was having problems with; I contacted the merchant, asked for a postage, did not receive that. I asked Amazon to contact the merchant. They did not do it properly. I was told by Amazon I have to pay to out of pocket to have the product sent back to the company and instead of crediting back to my bank account; I get store credit. I am out of the original cost of the inferior product plus cost of the product back. I almost bought an identical coat at Walmart. I put it back because I looked on Amazon and it was cheaper and I thought I could get a better deal on it.

The Router light does not light and the device light does not light. I go to page ten of the manual. Page ten of the manual says go online to **. So I tried. The website link is broken.
I tried three different browsers and even cleared my cache. (The Amazon proverbial excuse, "CLEAR YOUR CACHE. THE PROBLEM IS YOUR PC NOT US") So there is evidently no support for this outdated junk they probably dug out of Netgear's trash and Amazon probably picked them up for a nickel, advertise them for 18.99 and then actually charge you 25 bucks for the piece of junk. Next to dramatize this ripoff a little more... AS I was ordering I clicked order two. I discover the order is for just one. I go to the buy another link and buy another. Okay, I see it will be sent as two separate orders and the second order is coming a day later than the first. Now mind you this all goes on with maybe 5 minutes.
SO I see the two separate orders on my order page. I get Amazon support on the phone, explain to them I wanted to order two the first time and asked them to combine them in ONE ORDER! The woman I spoke to could barely speak English like always so I was having trouble understanding her but I was sure I got my point across because she confirmed in her thick as molasses accent that they would ship together. Well, they did not. I got the first one late yesterday. TODAY It is now about 21 hours later and I am still just trying to get this garbage to find my device find my router or light ANY cotton-picking thing besides the power light. I tried the factory reset and that does not work either. DO NOT waste your nickel on a Netgear product. This is a first Netgear for me and last.

In this past week or 2, ALL orders I place and request 2 day shipping (which I PAY a subscription for) are showing 1 and a half weeks to 2 weeks expected delivery date. This is not how Prime has worked the past two years. Their customer service reps in offshore consolidated call centers are telling me that the items are not in a local warehouse and that they have not changed their shipping at all and 2 day shipping means that the item will arrive 2 days AFTER it ships (which apparently is how the extra week and a half come in-- allowing the time to ship it-- so I can receive it 2 days after it ships...). This is BAD business and I am hoping that more customers catch onto what Amazon is doing. This is repulsive for a multi billion dollar company to switch up their shipping model and blatantly lie to customers.

Then I received an email from Amazon.com, that the product is shipped on Sept 26th, other product orders was shipped on Oct 2nd 2018, later I received email from the seller on Oct 2nd 2018 that he himself is personally following up on every order to make sure everything was delivered safe and sound. I received all other products (from same seller) by second week of October, but Amazon missed the deliver of the product and updated their system with a new date Oct 27th 2018, they missed the second delivery date as well, but no one from Amazon connected to me.
On 1st Oct evening I connect to Amazon.com chat and asked for refund as gift card, so that I could order again, but they refunded me to my Credit card, so I had already spent for conversion from Canadian to US dollar for purchase, again money will be spent on refund to convert from US to Canadian dollar and if I place the order again on Amazon.com I have to pay to convert again.
This product was not available on Canadian Amazon, so I ordered from US Amazon, as soon as they applied for refund, this product was listed on Canadian Amazon site for $964 CAD. As the refund was not in terms of gift card and looking toward the losses, I again contacted Amazon.com chat, which lasted for about half an hour, they were crying overpaying me for loss and finally they approved $40, which I can only spend on Amazon products, no other seller products, so I thought to share my experience with all.

I have been a regular Amazon customer making purchases of $2000-5000 per year in the past. But just this week, I placed an important order for a new MacBook Air computer last Saturday using Amazon. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday. On Monday, I got an email from Amazon stating it would be delivered on Thursday (today) instead. On Monday, I called Amazon to complain and to ask for some discount on the purchase since I had to wait three extra days. During that phone call, the Amazon person did not doubt that I had purchased the computer. Today without bothering to call or to check with me, Amazon canceled my computer purchase.
Supposedly, the purchase was "suspicious" but no Amazon rep between Saturday (the purchase day) and Thursday (today) bothered to call to check with me. Amazon just inconvenienced me greatly by canceling the order without any check with me. I called today to check on and to complain about this cancellation, and all the Amazon reps told me they would do is to let me re-purchase the computer.
Since Amazon clearly doesn't value my time and my money, I am happy to take my Prime membership and my business elsewhere. I can purchase my items from local stores and my books directly from publishers. The MacBook Air I can purchase from a local Apple store or from Best Buy. Unless your firm compensates me for my lost time and my lost wages in delaying and in canceling unilaterally this computer order, I will not be purchasing from Apple in the near and most likely far future, so you can wave goodbye to my business.

Wednesday – package gets picked up in the morning but 4:30 pm comes around and I still don’t have anything. I check the live tracking and see the driver is literally downstairs from my office building. 10 mins later he’s on the highway going in the complete opposite direction. He never made a delivery attempt and never called my phone. I call customer service and let them know what’s happening, the CSR contacted the driver and told him to turn around and then assured me that he will deliver on time. Check the tracking and he’s still going the other way, he never turned around and went back to the facility.
Thursday – I get an email at 4:00 am saying my package is lost and can’t be delivered. I had to contact Amazon for a refund. I never had any problems with Amazon deliveries until they started using AMZL. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do to have UPS/FEDEX deliver my packages so I’m considering canceling my Prime subscription. I definitely won’t be ordering any expensive items from Amazon because it might get lost or stolen. Location – Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Contacted Amazon directly and they refused to refund my money and insisted that I deal with the third party vendor. Issue was never resolved. I am out almost $200. They repeated the same email to me after 2 interactions which felt like it was automated. I then tried to leave feedback on the Amazon site and it wouldn’t allow me because I hadn’t made enough purchases. 1 should have been enough to leave feedback on my poor experience. After contacting Team Amazon has replied with sorry kind of mail & said it is a mistake, OK but still now even after that I still have not received my product. Then on 25th October 2018. I received a wrong product. When I call them they will replace it but till then I am waiting for my correct product. I have again tried to call Team AMAZON India but they again said, "Your product will be delivered within 2 to 3 days" but no result as expected by me.
So dear friends after this experience. I must say that, it's better to purchase product with a bit costly from Shop because there you don't have to wait or waste your time call Amazon and their response. I am having all these things on records, but don't have time to make Amazon better or fight. I am too busy to do so. But only writing this to save others from this kind of fishy things.

Original Review: Nov. 1, 2018
Updated on 11/18/2018: I wrote about this issue once before. I thought it was closed because a member of Amazon's KDP named Julian promised to send me a check after I complained about not receiving it. This was the 2nd time I was promised a forthcoming check. In response to my email someone named Sherin wrote, "I am very sorry for how long this is taking. I've been checking with Accounts Payable on their progress with issuing the pending payments. It looks like this is taking longer than expected, but they're still working hard to resolve this for you. I'll be in touch again with an update as soon as possible." Really, Amazon, how long does it take to write a check and send it? This matter has been going on for several months now. I am beginning to wonder whether Amazon's KDP has any management in place at all.
Original review: I have 3 complaints with Amazon: (1) A small toy I had ordered was listed as undeliverable by Amazon tracking. I called and asked for a refund. They said that I had to call again in 2 weeks because they could not find the package. I was on the phone for quite a while, and it is a large inconvenience to me because I live overseas and have to pay for the call.
(2) I closed my account with KDP (Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing). They owe me approximately $50 in royalties. Initially, I was told that checks would be forthcoming; but then I received nothing. I called and spoke to a KDP supervisor after being on hold for about 20 minutes. He did not seem to be able to access any information in regards to my account. I probably will never see those royalties.
(3) My biggest problem with Amazon is their change in Customer Service. In the past, they has an option of sending email for a question or problem. My questions were usually addressed promptly and efficiently. Now they only allow online chat or phone, and nothing ever gets satisfactorily resolved through these two methods. Moreover, it wastes a great deal of time. Amazon, you should bring back the high quality email support that you once had. I have been an Amazon customer for 20 years, but now I have to think about leaving Amazon since I cannot resolve problems with them easily and efficiently.

Despite clear instructions to deliver to my front door, Amazon delivers my packages to the apt. complex "hub" lockers which are located inside the apt office building. One delivery was delayed because the office is locked after 5 pm so they couldn't "deliver" it (to the lockers), but why can't they just bring it to my door (which is NOT inside a building) as instructed? I've called and complained about this (very nicely) and was told by a useless logistics "manager" that he "hoped" that the delivery driver would bring my items to my door as he's supposed to. But nope, they took it to the lockers. Three strikes and you're out, Amazon.
I drove over to the office, got the packages out of the locker, and took them straight to the UPS store to return them. If I have to go outside and travel 2 blocks to get my packages, what is the point? The whole point of ordering online is to NOT HAVE TO LEAVE THE HOUSE. I may as well just go to the local stores and buy the products, which is what I did today and what I will do from now on. I returned all the locker-delivered items, and canceled all of my subscribe-and-save items and will no longer order anything online from Amazon ever again. Also, like many others here, the 2 day delivery for Prime is the exception rather than the rule. I'm so over and done with Amazon.

My situation of a How To "So you'd like to..." content on my profile page disappearing was escalated to the Communities Team thing, and a response from a Karen ** had nothing to do with my situation and appeared to be a canned automatically-generated message. I responded precisely about what the issue was and that I needed to talk to a real person, and instead I got a response that no seller account was associated with my email. I never said I was a seller and my question had nothing to do with something I was selling.
In the past year, I also had multiple reviews that were suddenly deleted by Amazon even after I verified that I owned these products and these reviews were neither entirely positive or entirely negative, but the most in-depth and accurate reviews on these items that had yet been posted. One of the reviews the Communities Team never even sent me as a backup when I asked, so I assume that's lost to the void, too. 5 days later I called again (today) and was told it's actually going to be 10 BUSINESS days to get a refund so look for it on the 5th of next month. And nothing... No, "Oh let me send you a free order to make up for us holding your money for two weeks." or "Let me extend your annual fee an extra month for you having to monitor our basic business practices." For months I've been trying to solve a billing dispute with Amazon and Chase (who does Amazon's billing). Last April Amazon offered a free month's trial of Amazon Prime shipping and I agreed to give it a try. During that month I realized that I don't order from Amazon enough to justify paying them $14.00 a month so I called them to cancel my membership. I also brought up the fact that they were charging me $7.99 a month for “Amazon Digital Services” (whatever the heck that is) and I certainly didn't order it. I was assured that they'd cancel my subscriptions and credit my account. They finally canceled the charges on my September statement but they added them back in the same statement! They had been charging me the $21.99 per month for five months and it ended up they didn't actually credit my account for even one!
Every single time I've called, I've received the runaround. Amazon's Customer Service Reps (five of them!) tell me I have to call Chase and Chase tells me I have to contact Amazon! An Amazon CSR sent me an email stating that I owe them nothing but Chase refused to give me their fax number or an email address that I could forward the email to. After an Amazon Rep pulled a “we can't call Chase for you” runaround yet again I replied that Chase has refused several times when I suggested they set up a conference call between them, me and Amazon, he stated that they weren't allowed to make conference calls either. I pointed out that (1) Amazon is the one who notifies Chase how much to bill me for and (2) he knows as well as I do that Chase is not going to take a customer's word for anything... it had to come from Amazon.
I argued him down so he staged the conference call. When we got a Chase CSR by the name of Rajesh (ID # **) on the line, he asked me to verify my identity. He asked me my email address and I gave it to him. He said my answer was incorrect so, even though I doubted that since I gave him the one they send their emails to, I held back my anger and gave him my old email address. He again told me it was incorrect so he couldn't help me. While he was talking I signed into my Chase account, went to my profile page and sure enough, I gave him the correct address the first time. When I informed him that I was staring at my profile page and I had given him the correct email address, he denied it. When I asked the Amazon CSR (who had been silent throughout the exchange) to verify my identity, the Chase Rep realized he was a party to a conference call and he hung up on me.
That's how ridiculous this whole mess has gotten. I called Amazon one last time this morning and spoke with Shahrukh (ID # **) and explained that my cancer meds cause memory loss and confusion and that's why I simply glanced at their statements and paid them whatever they said I owed. But it finally hit me that the last things I ordered were a microwave in February, 2018 and 2 very cheap software discs in March and since I'd paid them $40 to $60 every month, they had to be paid off by then. His solution was to credit my account for the two late charges that have been levied while I've been trying to settle the dispute. I told him that wasn't good enough because I'm not paying them another cent... in fact, they OWE ME $50.97. I'm going to report both companies to the FTC and the BBB and when it's settled, I will cancel my Amazon account and, believe me, I will tell everyone I know or meet about this experience.

I have been a loyal Amazon customer for 8 years and have had Prime for most of those years and I am going to echo what others have said. The 2-day guarantee is meaningless as there are no repercussions if your order does not arrive in 2 days. Most of mine do but if they don't, there is no compensation. I also get asked to review my purchases, which I do occasionally. The last time I tried, I received a pop up message that I was no longer allowed to review products because I had violated the community guidelines. There was a link to the guidelines and I had not violated any of them, nor had I received any notification from Amazon or any information on which specific guideline I had violated. All of my previous reviews were deleted and I can no longer post anything in the Amazon community, including questions about products.
I sent an email to ask Amazon why they would treat a loyal customer in this manner. I received no response. I tried online chat and was told someone would "fix the problem" within 24 hours. I still got zero response. I tried emailing again. No response. I cancelled all of my subscriptions and will likely not be renewing my Prime subscription. It's very disheartening to be treated like a criminal by Amazon but they are still more than happy to take my money. Don't trust any of the product reviews. Most of mine were positive or at neutral but it's clear that they are somehow manipulating them to show what they want them to. How else do you justify this behavior?

Amazon has been getting worse with 2-day shipping. Some items say guaranteed 2-day shipping, but the guarantee doesn’t seem to mean anything. They do seem to try for 2-day shipping, but I’ve had a number of packages in which they’ve extended the delivery time without notice, and without any compensation, so I don’t know how you can call that “guaranteed” 2-day shipping. To make matters worse Amazon spams me with emails asking to review products that I’ve bought. Often I will write reviews, but the other day they sent me an email to review a product and then when I went to review the product Amazon revoked my abilities to review products and deleted all of my old reviews. Then I asked them for a reason why they did that, and they sent me this generic impersonal email, and refuse to respond with any more information.
I have never received anything for an Amazon review nor have I received any discounts for a review. I don’t know anyone that sells through Amazon, and I’m not affiliated or sponsored by anyone that sells on Amazon. I have no idea why they randomly deleted all of my reviews and took away my ability to review products. I have been asked by Amazon numerous times to review products that I have purchased on their site. When I objectively and civilly report, obeying all their "so called," rules, they refuse to post any negative WARNING reviews that involve a fraud being perpetrated by one of their sellers. I have reported purchases several times that were being sold by a Bogus Company with Bogus contact info: email, phone numbers, websites, and etc. I stated these facts clearly and warned customers not to buy from this site. Yet, Amazon has twice refused to post this review.
The real reason is Amazon does not want to except responsibility for selling stuff thru their site from illegal, & bogus companies. Amazon is running a front company for these crooks. Amazon quickly, and very quietly, does refund the money, if you go directly to them for the refund. But, forget about going to the seller for a refund. Further, many people do not go to this type effort, and thus, lose their money to these crooked operations being run out of Amazon. It's a crooked company that does not allow the truth to be told in reviews that Amazon itself has requested. Amazon should be brought up on Federal charges and people arrested (forget fines, they are useless) for continuing to allow these FRAUDS by their company. Unless people are arrested, tried and convicted, Amazon will continue to run these Interstate Federal Fraud Schemes.

When I questioned the delivery guy, he said "Oh, someone would have tried to lift the package incorrectly and caused the damages to the box," and that "no parts should be missing" and then walked away with a "have a nice day". I haven't had a problem with a seller on Amazon, but I continually have problems with some of the people that Amazon hires to deliver my purchases and those of others. Here are some examples: 1. A package for me was delivered to the wrong house, yet the label address was correct and readable. 2. I just saw an Amazon person THROW a package at our front steps. It was for another tenant and it was raining; I brought it in. 3. Three weeks ago, an Amazon person left a box containing a new trumpet face down in a PUDDLE at the bottom of our front steps. The box flaps came apart when I picked it up. 4. My housemate bought a printer last week. The driver threw it over a railing onto the floor of a side porch. 5. My spouse told me that her place of work has the same experiences with Amazon deliveries, packages thrown, mis-delivered, or never left in the same place twice in a row, despite going to the same office.
These clowns never ring doorbells to let you know that a package is there. They're too lazy to climb three steps, preferring to throw items for their convenience. They're clueless as to treating other people's property as they would want theirs to be treated. They have no sense of being reps for Amazon. Hello. Wanted to bring something to light that just happened to me when purchasing a high dollar scope from Amazon.com. I just purchased a Steiner T5Xi from Amazon the seller, not a 3rd party seller (want to be sure that is clear that this came direct from Amazon as the merchant) and when I received the package today I received a shrink wrapped sealed T5Xi box with a Steiner seals on both sides of the box underneath the shrink-wrap. However, all I actually received in the original box were 2 freakin' Ice Mountain water bottles inside! I almost got sick.
Someone tried very hard to defraud either Amazon if it came from Steiner this way or an Amazon employee stealing and knowingly sending the package out this way. It had the LPN label on the outside of the box which usually indicates a previous customer return at some point which means, they were trying to pass it off as "New." What strikes me as very odd was that the manufacture stickers were still sealing the box inside the shrink wrap. I cut them both myself. That, and the fact that whoever did this knew the weight of the scope to get almost exactly the same weight with the 2 water bottles.
I’m just in complete shock and awe. I’ve had someone try to rip me off before on eBay trying to say I sent them junk in a box. Thankfully, I record every package I send prior to shipping so I have the process on file for just these instances but the fact that it came from a billion dollar retailer sealed in this manner just baffles me. I can attach some pictures of the box and seals and contents of the package.
This is the 2nd purchase of a scope in 1 week that was received as the wrong item. I also ordered a 3-12x44mm scope, again from Amazon the merchant, not a 3rd party merchant, and what I received was the same model but the 4-18x44mm version INSIDE the 3-12x44mm box. So obviously, they are selling used or returned items as "New" and their now $15 p/h employees are not even checking the boxes to verify the contents. I am done purchasing anything from Amazon, period. They are clearly falsely marking items as "New" that are previously used or returned items and the folks in charge of checking these things to ensure that they are returned correctly and properly retested are failing miserably.

I don’t understand how one can look at an order and pick the wrong items off the shelf. In one of the incidents, I only received half of my order and instead of Amazon just sending me the other half, they would only allow me to return what I received. Amazon hides the fact that their customers are extremely dissatisfied with their service. One cannot post a negative review on the company on their website! My security camera also captured footage of their delivery person tossing a package, that contained glass, on to my front porch! Amazon has gone downhill!

I bought a car rim from Amazon 3rd party... It came damaged out of the box. The seller would not respond to my return request. After contacted by Amazon they had the nerve to me a postage required label... lol not even a printable label. YOU READY? It was a picture of a label taken with a cell phone blurry and crooked... (no kidding)... you're kidding right? You want me to pay for a bent car rims shipping cost? So I crabbed to Amazon and they said, "Take a picture of the invoice, call us and we will refund your shipping and also refund your rim through A-Z program..." So I shipped the rim back to the 3rd party vendor for 66.00 USPS Ground... I felt great, thinking all is well... no way!!! 2 weeks later I asked about the refund by calling Amazon... they said, "Oh the seller declined your refund..." WTH?
I got no email... "and we see no record of Amazon paying your return shipping." WTH? Let ME be clear. The rim was not mounted... it's pristine bent in the box so no one can say I damaged it. After 8 phone calls over a week... I may be getting the shipping refunded... and no A-Z. They said they will contact the seller and let me know. Really? Here's the sad part... there's a 30 day appeal process from the 3rd party seller if they decline your return... so in 5 days if I had not have called Amazon I would have been out 360.00 for the rim and the shipping back to them.
Why because no one from the 3rd party seller or Amazon said one word to me... How is that cool? How is that for Amazon taking care of customer... Beware. They just let any crap seller join with them. They will sell you garbage make you pay for shipping return then deny your claim (and hope 30 days pass then they are free). Slowly Amazon is losing their branding by using shady 3rd party sellers... I starting to like Walmart again.

This has now happened twice. First time, let it slide, since it only bumped up to next time slot, but this time it jumped up 2 whole time slots, from 8-10 a.M. To 12-2 p.M., (Which is huge when you depend on these guys for groceries) within a second of clicking the tip down to zero, as tipping usually is in person. Anyway, called and spoke to a human chatbot, as he just repeated himself over and over. Then asked to speak to supervisor and she supposedly couldn't do anything about it. She said once the times are set they can't go in there and do anything manually, even when the mistake is on their end, which is pretty hard to believe, being Amazon is such a huge, corporation that felt the need to swallow up Whole Foods.
Since they began the whole process, we have noticed many negative changes in Amazon since November of 2017. Anyway... Bottom line, even though you select your time slot and it's confirmed, doesn't seem to mean anything anymore, unless, of course, your order total is closer to hundred dollars and/or you are tipping via their site, then they lay the red carpet out for you, so to speak.

Amazon failed twice in a row to deliver my package. It may appear they refunded me, they didn't. I blame the first issue on USPS' incompetence but two orders in a row is crazy. To their credit they did send second package overnight, but it came up as undeliverable the next night. I have a Prime account and "fastest shipping" this third package was sent at is two days, which I already pay for. 3rd time's a charm and Amazon has wasted a week and a half for me to wait for my product. I'm cancelling Prime and going to other vendors. I figured they would have refunded my money and sent me the product for all the headache or at least overnighted the last package. The second cs agent was just better at schmoozing but didn't do me any favors.

I was “hung up on” by the first customer agent—suddenly she just stopped replying. The second agent spent the whole chat explaining why I was wrong to assume that all Prime products would be delivered in two business days. I finally called customer service to file a complaint and it got worse! The agent was the stereotypical, burnt out, annoyed with life “customer service” agent. I used to love using Amazon, but after today's delivery, I've pretty much had it. I buy A LOT off of Amazon, and in the past 6 months I can tell you that almost everything that comes ends up being defective in some way. Today was ridiculous. I bought a Samsung IconX headset 2018, pink in color. When it arrived, it had TWO "inspected" stickers on the outside (it was a "used in NEW condition") so I only paid $120. Anyway, I see the 2 stickers and also notice the box isn't taped shut. The outside of the box has a pic of pink earpods on it. I open it up and it's blue, but not only that, it's last year's model, which you can obviously tell because of the charging case that came with it - they are totally different.
These models are veryyy different. BUT, my point is it had TWO INSPECTED STICKERS on the outside, yet this is what arrives. Who on earth inspected this item as they BOTH should be fired or is it just Amazon's policy now to send you whatever crappy product they have on the shelf in case they're out of the one you ordered. The model they sent me sells ANYWHERE on the internet for approx. $25. This is my latest debacle with Amazon, but believe me, only one example of NUMEROUS in the recent past. I immediately went to my account and canceled all my subscribe & saves and anything else I had pending as ordered.
I will do most of my shopping @ Best Buy for my electronics so I can see what I'm paying for. I needed this package TODAY, and couldn't wait for them to arrive, only to be screwed over once again and had to get in the car and run up to Best Buy so I know I was getting what I was paying for. It's becoming too much of a hassle to deal with Amazon, I feel. I'm thinking they may have gotten to busy for them to do a good job any more or else they're just hiring a LOT of really lazy/stupid people; especially INSPECTORS.

They said if I wanted to reorder just go ahead, so I did. Then, out of nowhere Amazon found my original order and filled it and charges me again for the original order. This caused me to not have enough money in my bank account to pay my rent. After two days on the Amazon chat all I was able to get accomplished was the cancellation of the reorder. Amazon is getting worse and worse with their customer service skills. It seems that while they are eliminating their competitors (Sears, Toys R Us, Circuit City, Borders Books, etc), they are turning into a typically corrupt and bad business to deal with. When you order something from these clowns, it does not necessarily mean you will actually get what you ordered. It means you "might" get what you ordered and "might" get it for the price you ordered it for. If Amazon sells out of a product, it could be months before you find out whether or not you actually get the item you ordered at the price you ordered it for.
Meanwhile, you don't know if you should try to order the same item from another seller at a similar price. If the item is highly collectible (as many robots and action figures are these days), then there is no guarantee that you will ever get the item at a remotely affordable price. Bottom line: Watch it with Amazon these days. They are turning corrupt, and they do not offer any kind of support when they mess things up for your order.

I love to shop on Amazon because here in Las Vegas, it's difficult for me to get to a store that offers the items I need. Plus, I can read reviews of products by people who are verified purchasers of the products, and ask questions about something I'm interested in, if I want. Even if I end up buying something in a store rather than on Amazon, I always try to read the product reviews and questions and answers about the item I'm buying ahead of time so I know I'm getting the right product for my needs.
When others have stated that their orders haven't shipped on time, it's probably due to the seller of the product in which case Amazon really has no control over how long an item takes to reach them. That's another thing I appreciate about Amazon Prime - I can order from an Amazon Prime verified seller which guarantees my 2-day free shipping, hence, I've never had an order that was misplaced, that didn't arrive on time, or any of the other problems some consumers complain about.
Amazon has excellent customer support, and due to the excellence of service I've received thus far, I've only contacted their customer support once - when I had a log on issue. Since I became a member of Amazon Prime, I've never had an issue with anything at all and am very pleased with the options I have for ordering everything and anything I need at any time I need it.
It is very well worth the $12.99/month fee for Prime membership because I figured out that if I shopped and purchased products in-store, I've spent a lot more than $12.99 on gasoline, wear and tear on my vehicle, the time it takes up going from store to store to find exactly what I need, and, of course the extra money spent on impulse-buying. (There's also the risk factor of getting a traffic ticket, lol, which would be more than twice the membership fee). For me, a person who used to love to browse through stores just looking - and comparison shopping, now that I am not able to do the walking it takes through huge warehouse stores, or handle the crowds of people at stores, the ability to shop on Amazon and avoid all of the hassle is far better than conventional shopping in stores.

I pointed out the $50 difference and he said that's correct. I said no, I want my account the way it was. This customer had no right to make changes to my account.
It was Amazon's error to bill the wrong card. Vishal said there was nothing they could do. So I asked for a supervisor and Vishal advised the supervisor would say the same thing. So basically, anyone can call and make changes to someone else's account, without the account owner's knowledge or authorization, and there is nothing the owner can do about it? I’ve been using Amazon.com for practically ALL of my shopping for a few years. I always loved it, until the last few months. Now, when I order an item, there’s no way to tell when, or IF I will get it. When I choose 2-day shipping (lately this has happened to more orders than not), the day it’s supposed to arrive, it says something to the effect “your package has been delayed, your new delivery date will be**” OR “Your package has been lost in shipping. Please contact us so we may make this right”. When they refund you, you still have to keep checking your account to see when it hits to make sure you get the credit. When there are several orders, it’s a huge inconvenience, especially if you’ve used more than one card.
I also attempted to purchase a duffle bag, THREE different times. Each time it was lost in shipping. The 3rd one that was lost, they sent me a notice telling me they would refund me when they received the package back, yes, the package I never got. I would LOVE to still shop thru Amazon if they would go back to the old delivery method, but this contracted shipping and these people driving their own vehicles, I think they are stealing these items because surely not that many are getting lost. I’m afraid to order, because I won't have any idea of when I’ll get my order, I’d rather pay more to know this information. That’s why I started shopping Amazon, because I could track the shipping.

We did not buy anything near that date or anything for that amount. After calling Amazon, they checked both of our email accounts and determined it was fraud. That is all they said. Then they said they had to cancel our membership. They were going to issue a refund of $13. 66! We did not ask for a refund or a cancellation of our Prime. All we wanted them to do was to remove a charge that they know that we did not make.
They said we can get prime back. That meant that we can give them a $129 and get another year. Or if there is another charge that appears on our bill after two or three months again, what is stopping them from cancelling it again before the end of the year. Understand, we have made hundreds of dollars worth of charges on Amazon, and we are talking about a $12 bill. So, if you are thinking of getting Amazon Prime, then don't be surprised if there is a charge that you didn't make and then they can cancel your Prime and you can give them even more money to get it again. Lately this has not been the case and when I called to inquire it seemed like I was not dealing with the same company.
The customer service reps could not and were not answering my questions. I was getting told that my order was lost, did I want a refund to it, is on the truck and will be there at 8 am. When it did not arrive at 8 am I called and was told that I should not have been given that guarantee. Then to make my experience even worse I was told to call the delivery company myself!

When I called to inquire about the discrepancy I was told that Prime members are only and have only ever been offered 2 day free delivery. And that at that it wasn't guaranteed, that depending on the delivery company that could change. I asked to cancel my order and was told they couldn't. It was already shipped. (3 minutes after I placed the order???) When I went into my account the order was sitting there not shipped with the cancel option still available and I canceled it no problem myself. What is going on??? How does a company like that go from superb service to below substandard in just a couple of weeks?

I am disappointed that my account has been blocked now, since we have been posting orders as they have been received. Some orders have been returned to us in Australia, as we have notified that deliveries have been attempted, but in some circumstances the customer has not picked up the item from their local post office where it's then been returned it to us. We have a delivery guarantee with our courier service that allows us to repost an order if it is returned by the courier services at no additional cost. We have been doing this when we received the returns, but as soon as I sent a message to the customer to inform him, a warranty claim is opened and the claim is issued in their favor. This is very unfair to me since I already reposted the item to the client. The messengers do not allow a package to be redirected after it has been published.
This means that I lose the Amazon order, the payment of the order, the item I bought and the shipping cost. The client benefits, since he then receives an Amazon refund as well as the article that I have reposted. When they see that they already receive a refund, they are given the free item. Even when appealing these cases, with the new tracking information, Amazon closes the case and reimburses the buyer. As an Australian business, this is becoming very difficult to maintain when all guarantees claim refunds from buyers are authorize in their favour almost immediately and when appealing we don't seem to have the matter resolved. We've lost over $4000 over the past 3 months due to Amazon refunding buyers claims while the item is in transit to be delivered to the buyer!!!

Amazon Prime used to work well for me. (I ordered several items nearly every week.) But over the last few months the service has declined a lot: Once I place an order, they often predict delivery later than advertised on the product page. The "Track Your Delivery" reports from the Amazon delivery company AMZL_US are meaningless: just random selections from a menu. Some actual deliveries have been long after the predicted date, with no warning. Now I do research on Amazon, but try to order from someone else.

I ordered some items last month for my grandson's birthday this month. I don't have Prime and don't want it as I don't order enough to make it worth the extra expense. So what I do is to make sure I spend enough on eligible items for regular free shipping. Well guess what! They charged my bank account for Prime this month saying I signed up for Prime trial and didn't cancel it. I didn't sign up!!! The eight days it was supposed to take was fine since his birthday was this month! They insist that I signed up for it by accepting Prime 2 day shipping, but I know I was expecting the item in about 8.
Just so you understand, I was being careful because they have done this before. Obviously there is something wrong with their system if you can sign up and not know it! Their customer service said I will get the money back in 3 to 5 days, but after reading some of the reviews here, I don't believe it at all! And why is it so hard to find their customer service number (866-216-1072)? I am calling my bank tomorrow to file fraudulent charges with them! Personally I no longer trust Amazon!

I am convinced that Amazon shows one date for delivery at purchase and then changes it without letting you view the actual, original order to verify the change. I was shown a date of the 16th at order, which seemed to justify the high shipping cost (I paid for the quick delivery that never happened). Now it claims it said the 19th, but will be here tomorrow, the 17th. I know I wouldn't have bought it, paid 1/3 more of the cost of the item to have it shipped in 5 days, because I could walk to get it faster than that. Of course, their terrible customer service acted as if it was their first day (on Earth) and was useless.

I was barred from writing a review on a FREE app because they make you PAY to be able to leave reviews! You are required to have spent $50 in the last 12 months. So because I have spent $40, I can't leave a review, on a FREE app, for what good reason? Hmm? WOW. Just pointless. For anyone with kids - the DisneyNOW app force closes in the Disney Junior option no matter what you do. And if you're like me, good luck trying to even give them a heads up. Apparently they only care if you're dropping cash.

Up to this point I’ve been impressed with Amazon customer service. They seemed to care about their customers, especially if you’re a Prime member, and were always quick to refund my money for any issues with the product. That’s where the caring stops though...today I had an issue with a high-value purchase I was about to make. Right as I was about to purchase the price jumped from $300 to almost $600. Absolutely ridiculous! Thinking they’d want to make this right, still make a sale and keep me as a customer, I called them and requested them to price match their prior price. The agent checked with several of her superiors, then verified with me that the item wasn’t a lighting deal (it wasn’t), then came back and said sorry, prices are subject to change. It was obvious she COULD have made a price change, but someone higher up told her not for this case. I feel disrespected and betrayed. Considering canceling my Prime membership.

Just want to share my latest experience with Amazon... Will never place another order with this company. They promise delivery by a specific date and never deliver on time. I placed several orders in the past two months and have had to call them about not receiving the items. Their ridiculous response to my phone calls proved to be an exhausting experience. I have had numerous conversations with their supervisory staff and not one of them can answer a simple question... WHERE IS MY ORDER...
Responses included it was at the wrong warehouse... the driver could not find the location, strange since I have been at the same address for the past 10 years and UPS never had a problem, perhaps they need to give their new delivery people phones so they can use Mapquest, and the best one was that they could not deliver the merchandise because October 14th was a holiday and the building was closed... DID I MISS THE HOLIDAY?... Little did I know that my private residence was being used commercially. Merchandise could probably arrive in a more timely fashion if delivered by “a horse and buggy”. Beware guaranteed delivery dates that Amazon offers to Prime members. With their new Amazon Logistics System for delivery, you may have to wait until the twelfth of never... Shop your local stores and screw Amazon...

I Purchased A Shark Navigator Lift Away Vacuum cleaner for $190 plus US Dollars. When it arrived it had a different power phase than we have In New Zealand. It was 2 power phase. We have 3 Phase. They did not make this known when I purchased. I thought, "Oh well I will just go and get a plug converter $30 US dollars." Plugged it all in ready to go. Turned on. Popping and crackling noises and the smell of wires burning. I immediately contacted Amazon. They sent me a return ticket, etc...
Then the problem starts. Repacked stickers on box as directed. Went to post office $382 US Dollars to return this to the USA. Got hold of Amazon. Told they will send a prepaid ticket. Did not arrive. Asked again and was told they could not do that. I had to pay the $382 to return it and they will refund the postage... Yeah right. Why would they do that? It is twice as much as the cleaner is worth. If it's too good be true then it probably is. So I am $190 US dollars plus out of pocket and a vacuum that does not work. Overseas Buyers Beware.

So I redeemed my $50 gift card that was sent to me by my brother in law that was given as a gift. But then my son didn’t like the short sleeve shirts from the second order that was pending so I was able to cancel that successfully and buy long sleeve shirts instead. When I was ready to check out, my gift card balance was already had money taken out. But I haven’t bought anything yet!
What was taken out was the same amount that was already charged on my credit card. So I’m double charged. I called customer service and was put on hold while he figures it out. On hold again to apologize to talk to his “leader” and was put on hold again and again and again. They couldn’t figure it out and now has to be handed in 1-2 business days by the billing department. It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. The balance missing was the exact amount that was already charged on my visa the day before and I received my product cause I used Amazon Prime. The exact amount missing on the gift card!!! So just give me the missing amount and put it back on my card!!!
I redeemed the gift card amount today, and Amazon can see that I didn’t purchase anything today! The only purchase was the night before!!! And the amount of the purchase was the exact amount missing on my gift card balance!!! Why is it so hard!!! The amount of my gift card should not have been deducted in the first place when I haven’t made a purchase today. I was all ready to check out with my new order using my gift card and that’s how I noticed the amount difference. I might not purchase anymore cause if it’s that easy to figure out and it takes them all evening and 2 more business day then it’s a company that I don’t have confidence in. This sucks!!!

Amazon always shipped pretty fast & has decent prices. But the fact I'm censored on Amazon bothers me a great deal. I can purchase items on Amazon, my $ is good, but not my reviews? Get real, if they will not rectify this for me, I will not be returning to Prime next year. I'm no shill for anyone, those are my words & my words alone. I couldn't believe this crap they posted when I attempted to leave a review. "Sorry, we are unable to accept your review. You are no longer permitted to review products on Amazon because you have violated our Community Guidelines." Really, just SMH. Amazon is becoming more dystopic daily, it doesn't help you to crap on your customers. I've been with Amazon since 2004, this is how they treat me?! Time to maybe start looking elsewhere, Walmart & Target plan to compete with Amazon. Maybe I will join them if Amazon keeps treating me badly, like I don't matter...

I have been a Prime member for over 10 years, and I used to order almost everything on Amazon. It used to be convenient. But that seems to be coming to an end. Each time I had to deal with customer service has gotten worse over time. It has come to a point that their return policy is worse than any other department store, so why even bother with them when you can order same items, sometimes even better deals, and shipped at no cost - most retailers nowadays have free shipping anyways - Amazon Prime delivery of 2 days has barely even been true - always taking 3-4 days, but I never let it bother me much as long as I received the item.
However lately I have not been receiving correct items, and dealing with the returns has been a nightmare. I just got off the phone with an Amazon rep, who basically told me that he will issue me a warning for being rude on the phone. LOL. These people seriously need to sober up and get off the high horse... anyways, Amazon can take their Prime membership, and their politically correct products and, you know what haha... time to get back to basics. Can't wait to see these tech companies go belly up. :)

I have been a Prime member since 2004 and order many products through Amazon weekly. I wanted to return a sweater that I purchased that is listed on Amazon as Prime and as Free Shipping/Return. The seller from China had to approve my return and then sent me a label telling me that I had to pay for shipping back to him. Uhm, No! I have been in contact with Amazon a few times via Chat to discuss to which they say they will look into it and will contact the seller. Nothing has happened. This has been going on for weeks now.
I called today to only connect with someone in India where the service rep could not find my account by my name which I spelled out over and over again. It's a simple name like Jane Doe practically. After arguing with the rep, I asked for a supervisor which he refused to connect me to and told me that I wasn't giving him the correct name. Uhm, Ok, No again, I've had the same name since the account was opened. He finally relented and said he would connect me to a supervisor and then hung up on me. Awesome!
