I ordered Pembroke socks on Feb 10 through Amazon. They never came. Yet, every day since about Feb 13, I would get a notice that they were arriving that day. Still never came. I posted a negative review, but they would not post it, saying that it did not conform to their guidelines. Yet, they did not say in what way it did not conform. So, I called customer service and they informed me it did conform, but did not offer to post it.

I was returning items from two different orders to an Amazon drop-off location. Before packing, I contacted Amazon and asked if I could put all the items in the same box with the return labels for one of the orders, with all the item descriptions inside. The Amazon customer service guy said "Of course, there is no need to pack a lot of boxes, just make sure you have everything inside and drop it off". And so I did. After that, I received the refund for one of the orders, but when contacted Amazon again regarding the return of the other order, I kept getting excuses.
It has been over a month now, they opened a "ticket" and I have spoken to over 25 people about this. Every time I tried to contact them I had to explain the issue. For a couple weeks now, I have spoken to different people who guaranteed that, after all of this trouble, my return had been issued and I should be able to see it in my account in a few days. It never happened. I contacted them again yesterday and never felt so disrespected. They said the refund wasn't issued and that the items weren't in the box. EXCUSE ME? Would I have contacted Amazon asking about the possibility of putting all of the items in a box if I didn't intend to do so? Would I have wasted hours and argued with dozens of people? Are they saying I've been doing all of this for items I never returned? Never was I so disrespected and Amazon just lost a client forever.

Amazon.com website ignored my instructions to maintain separate personal and business accounts with different email addresses and instead combined them using new business account email address while deleting my personal acct email address. After the 2 accounts were combined I did NOT receive any notification of that via email or phone call or any other means. My subsequent emails to Amazon ECR replies and Jeff Bezos were ignored so I tried chat. Worst customer NON support experience in my life! Each of 10 chat reps said they'd help me but ended up transfer me to someone else who repeated that false promise. Then I received 4 emails yesterday from Amazon CIS reply requesting more information when there was none to provide.

There is absolutely no reason to be a Prime member. "Two-day free shipping" does not exist, even on orders that advertise it. I have never received any orders that quickly, ever. There's really no point to having Prime. Big gimmick. Canceling membership.

Just spoke with the most lousy customer service team that proceeded to fill me with BS answers and deflection. Just canceled my Prime membership because of this. Hopefully at some point a company makes up for Amazon's lack of customer service. No need to go into details because I can tell how they operate and it’s not the individuals, it’s a management problem. I’ll just stop buying and go on my merry way.

This has happened a few times. I just ordered a product on Saturday and Amazon gave me two options. One day delivery and second day delivery. I chose one-day. My product should arrive by Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at 6:00 p.m. I had not seen my product arrive, therefore I went online to check its progress. It said that my package was still en route but would be delivered by 8:00 p.m. I was sitting in my front living room and was waiting for the arrival. By 8:00 p.m. I checked online again and there was notification at first that said there was an issue with no other details. I saw that the delivery was from USPS. This is the second time that I have not received a package from USPS on a weekend and there was some excuse that they could not deliver. I receive Amazon deliveries all the time. If they do not deliver on Sundays, they certainly will not on President Day, why are they offering it to customers?
I went online again Monday evening and saw that they had updated their system: "Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package. Please contact the carrier to resolve." (Employee deciding the day is done and not delivering packages? Uses snow as excuse.) There was a small amount of snow on the ground but not on the walkway to my door. I was home all day on Sunday. We had received another Amazon package at the door that same day but the carrier was not USPS. The notification says they tried to deliver at 6:09 p.m. That is impossible because I was looking out my window from about 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. USPS delivers packages on Sundays.
I have been on hold with USPS for over an hour and a half, and I get a knock at the door. My packages, as I am still on hold. The information Amazon provided regarding my package was false and had me waiting on the phone for over an hour and a half. Their one-day and two-day shipping is a scam. Then their reason for delay and proper actions are misleading. Desired Resolution: Modification/discontinuance of an advertised claim. Desired Outcome. I would them to look into this issue with USPS and know if they're going to change their policies and clarify the actions they will take when a package is not delivered in the time frame promised. They have hired USPS to do their job and I am not sure if they are really monitoring the deliveries. If you look online, Amazon Sellers are very upset that their packages are not arriving on time. Online it says it has been delivered but it was not delivered.
I have also witnessed this myself. They are also complaining that their packages are going missing. USPS lost 13 packages in Feb 2019. Jan 5, 2019 "So far 5 orders marked as delivered, yet buyers claim they have not received packages. USPS is failing to do its job done right." This is a big issue for Amazon. They need to deliver on their promise in their marketing ads. The only way to make a complaint against Amazon is through their seller's pages and that is completely wrong... No other place to make complaints. I decided to make one to the BBB.

How great is AMAZON? I had 3 packages destine to come in yesterday! One package said it was hand delivered. Which it never was. Lol. Then the second I got a email saying they tried to get it to us but couldn’t and will try again but when I went to the app it said it was being returned. Lmao??? Like the delivery person walked up, hand it to the wrong address, went back to the second and was too embarrassed noticing the address was wrong or too lazy to attempt the second. Not the first time I got a treadmill they lost in the mail and wasn’t going to tell me and twice when I checked with them they play it off as give it 24 hours then 48. Then another time they gave it to the wrong apartment and took a picture of the door and we quickly called them. It was only 5 minute ago. They wouldn’t call their dispatch to tell them to go back and bring it to the right place. Never saw the package again. Lol???

I contacted customer service to see if there is a way to block subscriptions on Amazon Video, I was told parental controls. I told them that I had set that up a quite a few months ago. I told them that the parental controls stop regular purchases, but not subscriptions for Amazon Prime Video. They didn't listen to what I was saying in the chat, and said maybe my son knows the pin. I told them he just barely turned 3 and I have seen with my own eyes that it doesn't require a pin. They told me to change my pin. That upset me, I messaged saying they aren't listening to what I am saying.
It doesn't stop subscriptions, then they asked me if I wanted them to cancel the Noggin subscription, I told them no, they are incompetent and I want to speak with someone else. No response, then I ended the chat. I got an email saying two of my subscriptions had been canceled. I only said Noggin was what my son kept subscribing too, yet they canceled my other subscription. I specifically said not to cancel anything and I wanted to talk to someone else. Horrible customer service!!!

I even attached a picture of the box with cans inside of it - each can laying a different direction.

Not only is it taking 2 weeks to get a delivery but I end up spending more money. They give me a promotional credit of $5 but I can only use up to $1 per order. We reached out to Amazon a couple of times and was told the sale was from a third party (Gatzies) who has refused to accept a return saying it wasn't allowed. My mother lives on Social Security only, was charged 564.00! We were very disappointed to receive no help from Amazon. If could give a minus star review I would. Amazon has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I was having issues logging in to my account on my new computer and was prompted with their 2 step verification system, which it only allows you to get a code through either a text message, a call or through an authenticator app. According to the platform, the system automatically sends a text message with the code, which I never received. Then when I chose the option to get a call, the system never calls. The authenticator app doesn't work because it never prompts the barcode to add to the app.
When I email customer services I am told that I have to call customer service for security reasons and because of this, they don't send codes over email. I replied back saying that a deaf-mute person cannot make or receive calls, and to please provide a different alternative. After 2 emails explaining the same over and over again, I am told to chat with them over the platform. I chat with another representative and the same thing. This person reads the same script without even reading my comments. I told them the same, a deaf-mute person cannot make calls, and the person just replies that they encourage a deaf-mute person to have a family member call them to solve the issue. Really? Do you call this accommodation? This is a rude response to people with permanent disabilities.
Clearly, they don't care for the customers just for whatever they define as 'secure.' I make a friend call them and they made them wait for another hour to solve the issue, which it doesn't get solved at all. Finally, we had to provide a copy of my driver's license just to deactivate the absurd 2 step verification system they have forcibly imposed on customers. Shame on you Amazon and Amazon support people, this is an offense to all people who cannot either make calls because of disabilities, or anyone who does not, or do not want, to have a telephone number. I am sure that if it were to accept my payments for a purchase that would be allowed without a question or a security excuse. Shame on you Amazon, this platform and their support services is awful and offensive. Someone should do something legal against them.

Anymore the shipping service with Amazon sucks **, they can't get stuff out of the warehouse on time, they use the wrong carrier to meet the dates they send to their customers, and then act like it's all the carrier's fault? No **. If you guys shipped on a Thursday instead of Friday the 2 day guaranteed item would show up Monday not Tuesday. My other personal favorite I've had happen is when they say it's sold by Amazon but actually being drop shipped by a 3rd party, so they charge you immediately for the item as it "shipped" but in reality it's pending fulfillment by a 3rd party that then takes 2 ** weeks for them to fulfill as it was back ordered. Amazon is becoming just as slimy as their CEO.

Amazon utilizes FedEx SmartPost and United States Postal Service. Both have no problem "fudging" the tracking info. I can receive a package on a Saturday yet the tracking will show it was delivered Friday. Further my last order was delivered to the wrong home by USPS and the occupants kept the package and the USPS were not able to retrieve it and deliver to me. This is so unfair to both the seller and the customer. And the only thing you get from Amazon is an "I'm sorry" from a foreign voice that can barely be understood. Logistics is useless and after over 600 orders, I'm convinced that Amazon will never get timely delivery for Amazon Prime customers.

So I have been using Amazon for the past two years and I have never left a review as I just couldn’t be bothered. For once, I wrote a review as I actually liked the product but then later receiving a message on Amazon saying that I won’t be able to post any more reviews as I was violating against the policies. I called them a few times later receiving an email saying that I ever the had a relationship with some seller, or I was getting free or discounted stuff and that’s the reason I was posting a good review and also my account had been banned from writing a review ever since. What really pisses me off is that there is always a button there where you can choose to leave a review but when I do, I get a ban. After called them 10 times and speaking to 5 different managers, about a month after the issue.
What I got told on the phone was basically, "We will not provide you with any more information, we will not prove anything to you and the decision is final, happy or not, deal with it." How bad does it sound? All I asked was, if they are ‘determined’ I was violating against their 3 policies like I have said above, prove it to me that I actually know the seller or I was getting free stuff? But no, I don’t get any and I have to deal with it. The very last manager that I spoke to had a terrible attitude and they don’t treat you like customers.

As a businessman I am very disgusted with how they handle their Prime Members. First of all, when you promise 2-day shipping you expect 2 days. As Prime Members, you want that service and expect it not when you deliver says you're going to show then doesn't show at all. I've lost many hours waiting at home where I can be at my business working. Then tell a customer, "Oh well we will give you a refund." Just maybe people don't want a refund. This becomes so frustrating and I have waited and talked with customer service and said: "what is the point of having Prime if I can't expect my products on time or missing in transit which has happened to me not once not twice but 3 days in a row". Either your workers can't do the job or they are just lazy and that is completely unacceptable. Why pay so much money a year for Prime where you can't even guarantee your product. Do your job or many people will leave Amazon.

I contacted Amazon again and representative reassures me that I will get my money back and 12 hours later they denied the claim.

I ordered a New ROKU Express+ thru Amazon PRIME, which was only available thru a 3rd party seller. The item happened to arrive a day early and required a signature. I come home, find a delivery attempt note on my door from USPS indicating a signature is needed. I contacted Amazon Customer Service by phone who conducted a joint call with USPS. Apparently, the 3rd party seller chose to ship the item via USPS and required USPS to obtain a signature, whereas every other Amazon item I receive from USPS comes to my home's USPS neighborhood parcel locker. As the Chief Operating Officer Of An Aerospace Company, I don't have all day to wait around my home for a delivery, nor am I willing to wait in line for 1 hour at my local Orlando post office.
While speaking to the Amazon Representative on the telephone, and after weighing the pros and cons of this specific delivery, I chose to refuse the delivery of the item and cancel the order. While on the call with the Amazon Representative, she was insistent that she and I both needed to stay on the line while USPS spoke to me about refusing the order. The simple solution would have been for Amazon to stock the item (as it is a popular selling item) and Amazon could have send it right to my doorstep via Amazon Prime, thru their contracted delivery carriers. To put this into better perspective, I live in a safe neighborhood and have never had a theft of a package on my front porch, not ever. This however is only where the story begins...
When I contacted Amazon and asked them to contact the USPS and the 3rd party seller to not require a signature and place the item in my parcel locker, that is where the lack of customer service began... The initial Amazon Rep I spoke to, made me wait on the line to speak to USPS to refuse the item and while on the call, the USPS representative elected to hang up the phone.
I called Amazon back, asked for a Supervisor, asked him to document what had occurred to date, including encouraging the 3rd party seller not to require signatures on future orders, as USPS by policy will not leave a parcel on someone's doorstep. Rather they will choose to leave the parcel in a parcel locker (being that the item is small enough to fit in a parcel locker), knock on your front door and or leave the package at the local post office. While on the phone with USPS, the Amazon Supervisor hung up the phone.
I call Amazon back a 3rd time, ask for a second supervisor, explain the situation briefly and the supervisor states that she can do nothing to help and that I should expect a redelivery tomorrow. I share with the supervisor that in the prior call, I told the USPS representative to return the package to the sender as the signature needed, which made the delivery too inconvenient. I also asked the Supervisor to document the extremely poor customer service they had provided, whereas in the past, the customer service was excellent.
How could this issue have been prevented? 1. Amazon could choose to stock this popular ROKU device in their warehouse and could have chosen to ship it 2 Day Prime and have left it on my doorstep, while experiencing no security issues. 2. The 3rd Party Seller 'Amazing Camera Sales & Same Day Shipping' could have sent the item, not requiring a signature, whereas it would have been placed in my parcel locker and I could have retrieved it at my convenience, much in the same way I do with all of my USPS shipped Amazon orders.
3. Amazon could RESTART offering excellent customer service by telephone, much as they did in the past, by making it easy for customers to call in. In my calls today, Amazon's computer based telephone system asked for text verification of who I was, when I called in, before my next wait for an Amazon customer service representative. 4. Amazon should not require the customer to wait on the phone to consult with USPS telephone customer service, whom being USPS is not in a rush to get anything done. Additionally, Amazon should not be employing discourteous telephone representatives who either speak poor English and or hang up on customers.
5. The 2 hours I lost in my day today, I will never get back. It is my sincere hope that you AMAZON and you the reader will understand the serious concern for necessary CHANGE to occur within Amazon, regarding the customer service it offers and the need to start 'once again' providing Excellent Customer Service to its customers.
6. As a well educated man, what happened today was not only a waste of my time, it was also disrespectful, in regard to the way I was treated. There was not one time during any of these calls where I was rude, raised my voice and or was disrespectful to all parties involved. 7. I have never seen a company in my lifetime offer Excellent Customer Service over the course of many years, then have that level of customer service become 'extremely poor'. It really makes you wonder what REALLY is happening inside of AMAZON. AMAZON PRIME Grade: F (FAILURE).

Realized we've been being charged by Amazon for a "sellers" account that we do not control and is not associated with any of the emails we own. Secondly Amazon is charging a credit card we rarely use when buying from them. Amazon will not give us information because our emails are not associated with the sellers account, yet they keep charging our card (14 times to the tune of $559.96). They finally agreed to deactivate the card, but will not take responsibility for the money. (The credit card company is taking responsibility for some, but not all of it.) Gone over the statements carefully & these are the ONLY charges that do not fit. The problem seems to be with Amazon & only Amazon, yet they do not assume responsibility. Advise that you do not leave your personal information (billing/ship to addresses, credit card info, etc) on Amazon and cut WAY back on your Amazon purchases!

Amazon lost my son's North Face coat. They did not deliver the package to my condo or get any signature from me or my condo manager upon alleged delivery. They carelessly leave packages right next to the entrance door or in the common lobby area hallway for anyone to pick up. Numerous emails and 4 hours on the phone with 6 different reps who could barely speak English later, they still refused to start a proper investigation and kept wanting to charge me for the lost item. A week later they asked me to file a police report. It's unreal. One of the reps finally admitted that they did not get a signature as requested for my shipment. I've involved my credit card company, but be careful. They will stick you with the bill even if it's their fault and they lose shipments. Boycott Amazon to send a message. I am purchased (ORDER # **) 2 items on Thursday, January 31, and it was guaranteed next day delivery. Amazon updated on Friday that 1 item was delivered at 4 pm in my apartment complex office, I went to the office 4:30 to get my package, however there was nothing there. Late at night Amazon updated again the delivered information and show that was delivered at 8:20 pm with a message. (Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a receptionist or someone at front desk.) This is a totally lie, because the office close at 5:30 pm. And when I went there today (02/04/19) was signed in the book that was delivered on 02/02/19. So my package was not delivered on Friday and worse than that Amazon update fake information about the deliveries to avoid complaints.
The second Item Amazon updated on Friday 02/01/19 9:03 pm delivery attempted. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a secure location to leave your package unattended. We will try again. Please tell us where to leave your package if you have a preferred location.” This is another lie, because nobody tried delivery anything and there is no note at my door apartment, anything that can prove it. Until Saturday nobody delivered anything, so on Sunday I found the box in front of my apartment’s door. It is really fun because their excuse for not having delivered on Friday was because “unfortunately, we couldn’t find a secure location to leave your package unattended.” And on Sunday, was it not a problem?!
I am really tired about this fake promise about guaranteed delivered in 1 or 2 days, this already happened several times with me and what annoys me the most, it is the fact of Amazon updated fake information about the delivery status just to avoid complaints. This is an unacceptable behavior, trying to fool customers.I will no longer renew my Prime member and also will sue the Amazon for purposely posting fake delivered updates to fool customers.

When I asked him to move his truck because our resident needed to park, he finished delivering packages and told me we are not his customers and he will basically do whatever he wants! He was not the least bit cooperative or professional, and appeared to be very pleased that he didn't have to consider our convenience or safety. I don't even know who he works for! This is not acceptable.
If the truck stated the name of the company you might be able to fix this, but a blank truck with who knows who inside our complex is not alright. In the past year, Amazon has started delivering their own packages from a depot in San Francisco and in the past 4 months I’ve experienced 5 delivery failures. From delivering to the wrong address to saying my address is undeliverable when they delivered another package the same day, to no one home to accept the delivery, we have a service called package concierge which is open 24/7. The standard response is given it a few days and if the package does not turn up let them know.
I get a lot of packages delivered to my address and in the past year, I’ve had no problems with USPS, FedEx, except UPS being a couple of days late. However, Amazon can get it right. Complaining to customer service is also a frustrating experience as they refuse to refund the order until it is physically at their return center. When I’ve requested a replacement and they have agreed to provide one day service, the package took 3 days to arrive. The main reason I pay over a $100.00 a year for Prime Service is to get 2-day delivery, and if they are unable to provide a consistently reliable service I have to question why I’d continue to a Prime Member.

Again a label was send so I printed this label on both the bags but no one came to collect. Again I contacted Amazon. Again another label was send. The same person came to collect and again he refused to take with the same excuse.
Again I contacted Amazon. This time they requested me to drop the bags to the closest Hermes collection point. So I took the bags, went to the nearest point In Southall (Batra's Newsbox, 35A South Road, Southall) but they informed me that the person in charge is not available and requested me to give a try in the afternoon or evening or next morning so I had to pay taxi driver unnecessary, I called Amazon call centre and requested the operator to speak with that Hermes shop owner (it's a general store with the Hermes board) but the Amazon operator didn't agree because the Punjabi shop owner spoke Hindi. I have just been hung up on by Amazon. I ordered through Amazon Jan 8th of this year, an order from China. I have been ordering things from Amazon right along with my current card. The company in China contacted me and said they needed more banking information. That scared me, I thought maybe the company was a scam, so I cancelled my order. I read my order and found that Amazon had charged it to a card That I did not have. I called Amazon and Tony ** said it was charged to a card from 2007 that was cancelled years ago and Amazon should not even still have. Tony ** said he fixed it. Then I received a letter from a collection agency that said I owed Amazon Marketplace the 36.49 they charged to a dead card of over ten years plus a $25 fee.
I called Amazon again. I have been hung on four times after explaining my problem and have not received any help what-so-ever. I do not owe this bill. The company in China is not at fault. I have ordered at least 20 orders from Amazon in the last three month and I only have my credit card attached to Amazon. NO bank accounts.
I do not believe that I should be the one doing the proving here and I do not believe that Amazon should damage my credit for their mistake. I am so disgusted. Where did Amazon did this number and why is my credit being attacked for their mistake. I just received the first call from Amazon today. They called to tell me not to post to Facebook anymore. Six hang-ups and a charge to a non-existent bank account and I am not to post to Facebook anymore. Okay, no more today, I'll wait until tomorrow.
I just received my a call back from Amazon. They told me not to post to Facebook anymore. I do not have a checking account attached to Amazon but they charged someone's checking account for my order which did not have money in it. I am now being told that this is my fault and that customer service lied to me yesterday when Tony ** told me it was a card from 2007. It is now a non existent bank account and that I have to prove to TRS Recovery Services that I do not owe this. If Amazon does not make this right, I will never quit hollering. Whose account did you try to tap??? Your first helper, Tony **, told me it was a credit card from 2007.
But the situation was now taken care of. Then, I received a letter from TRS recovery saying I owed $61.49. The original 36.49 and a 25.00 fee. I called Amazon and I was hung on 6 times. I was then told contract TRS. I did and TRS told me I had to go to their online site and prove I did not owe the debt. I purchased an incorrect item back in Nov 2018. Upon opening the package, I realized my mistake. I immediately applied for a refund, got my refund code, prepared the package to be sent back, and paid for the shipping back to the seller. I contacted Amazon in mid-December after I realized the package had been delivered but my refund had not been received. They told me it could take some time and that they would take care of everything. I left it at that.
I had not received anything nor heard from Amazon into early January, so I contacted them again. I got the same response but they were escalating it to their complaints department. Great? Now I had to wait for them to get back to me again. I had not received any communication since contacting Amazon earlier in the month. I was getting annoyed. I contacted them for the third time and I got the exact same runaround that I was given earlier. I was given three days to hear back from Amazon to see if I can even get my refund. It went from a simple return to the potential I won't even get it. Leaving the seller with both my money and the product. Every agent I spoke to had no information and no power. They couldn't do anything. Useless and a waste of time. I have since deleted all my accounts.

I purchase a set of Gaiters from OMCGEAR in Oregon though Amazon. I was charged sales tax. I called OMCGEAR several times and told them I live in Pennsylvania and clothes, socks, coats, jackets, Gaiters are non taxable. I spoke to a man at the store and he told me he has to pay sales tax to the state. I said, "What state?" He said Pennsylvania. I said, "Why would you pay tax to Pennsylvania when these are non taxable in that state." He said because they are sports equipment. I then told him LL BEAN, EMS, CABELA'S, do not charge tax in store or online in Pennsylvania.
I then told, "In your theory if I buy a coat that is non taxable and I throw a football once now it becomes sporting equipment?" He then raised his voice and said, "Fine. I will refund your money." (Tax Money) Also I want to add Amazon told me to go to the Pa REVENUE WEBSITE. And I did and they do not list GAITERS. Also I called and spoke to a woman at OMCGEAR and asked her to have the owner call me and gave her my phone #. She eluded to the fact he won't call you. Guess what? 3 days later No CALL.

I ordered and they took the money out of my acct the next day, and a week later, I asked for the tracking/shipping info, and the seller claimed it was sent through Royal Mail and they could not tracking the package and it may get hung up in Customs so they expected my delivery to be 10-14 days, but that time frame didn't match how many days they gave me. The seller is Hawthorne.
I told Amazon and the seller that I am calling my order and I believe them to be a scam. I joined Amazon Prime free 30 day trial, but it would expire prior to being charged an Amazon Prime fee of $12.99 per month if I continued to be falsely led by the seller into the next month. When I cancelled, Amazon denied fraud and was of no help in honoring my request for full refund from Hawthorne. I cancelled anyway, and notified my financial institution for my protection. This has happened more and more over the past 6 months. I have been a very loyal Amazon Prime customer for many, many years, but now am thinking of just ordering from other sites like Walmart or Target because they have much more dependable delivery. In the last 6 months, I have ordered much from Amazon (especially for Christmas gift shopping) and have had many packages arrive late, a few NOT AT ALL, and one order got shipped to another state at another address! When I call Amazon, they usually apologize profusely and then offer me a $5 or $10 promotional credit. Ok, but this happens so often.
Most of the problems seem to happen when Amazon uses their own driver system. Before that, when they used UPS or USPS, packages arrived on time and in 2 days. Although Prime advertises that they have 2-day shipping, most delivery promise dates are set 4 - 5 days in the future. False advertising! I know Amazon is a huge business with millions of customers, but the individual customer should matter.

Aurora is 40 minutes away, still no package (it's still on the way) LOL. Please. Bottom Line Prime Membership is a total waste of money and time. I made a contribution to a big gift my brother and sister-in-law had put on their Amazon baby registry. I convinced others to go in on it, so that they'd have it for the upcoming baby shower. A few things to know: 1) your contribution goes towards one big gift card (not the actual item) and it can be used for anything. 2) This is non-refundable. 3) If the price of the item increases (which the item we contributed to did -- went up almost $15.00 overnight) then the registry will say the item is not fully "funded". 4) If you don't contribute to a big item then those other items will be shipped to where you choose, but those that you "contribute" to has Amazon holding the money.
I complained about this because when the item we chose was all paid for, it should freeze the price because I felt we purchased the item. I didn't realize that Amazon handles this as a big gift card and holds the cash in a "gift card" for the parents. I'd rather give the couple cash because there is a chance gift cards go unused and the company keeps all the money. Also, it is not fair that an item on the registry will increase that much once we fully funded it. It all seems very wrong to me.

We made several attempts to Amazon seller support informing of these facts but we received repeated responses from Amazon, unable to acknowledge the documented seller fee category fact and unwilling to honor their advertised seller fees for "Split-system Air Conditioners" which clearly states it falls under the "Appliances" category in Amazon's seller documentation. Amazon Seller support does not acknowledge the documented seller terms and fees and the "Add Attachment" button does not work or allow us to upload a screenshot of the Amazon terms.
Amazon seller support responds with... "Dear Seller, Thank you for contacting back. I'm Avanth again. I would like to inform you that your product is listed under node with category as below: Home & Kitchen/Categories/Heating, Cooling & Air Quality/Air Conditioners & Accessories/Air Conditioners/Split-System. Lastly, please note changing the product to an incorrect category may lead to suspension from Seller Performance team. And as per the Amazon catalog, the ASIN has split system with node falls under 'Home' category and was charged the correct referral fee as 15%." Both boxes were damaged in the same spots. The damage was so evident (broken wheels protruding from a box falling apart), that I haven't even opened the boxes. Why does Amazon keep shipping boxes not shipping-ready, and using such an inept carrier that would drop these boxes at my door then dart away, probably knowing I would ask them to load it right back on the truck. If I have to use Amazon again, it will be for soft-goods; they must not have this shipping thing down yet. And why can't they coordinate a pick-up time range with the carrier they've contracted. Amazon has become so big that do not care how they treat their customers. I have been a customer since 2010 and I have spent $20,000 plus with them ordering merchandise. They recently closed my account stating that I had too many returns. I have had less than 2% returns of all merchandise ever ordered with them. They said it was due to my account being closed previously for returns. This is far from the truth, my account was closed by me in Dec of 2017 due to my account being hacked. I have always suspected this hacking came from an Amazon employee but could never prove it. In Dec of 2017 this hacker went into my account and returned items and requested gift cards as credit. Then this person ordered items ($4,000) worth of merchandise and had it shipped to an address in TN another state.
I made Amazon aware of this and they did nothing to stop these shipments. I did file a police report but little could they do because it was in Amazon's hands. How I expect it was hacked through Amazon is they never sent UPS or anyone to pick up and of the items the hacker said he was returning. Amazon will always have returned items sent back. My account was closed for about a month trying to get through this. This was a nightmare. So as I mentioned Amazon just closed my account stating this is the 2nd time because of returns. The returns I have had was for 2 of the same coat that were incorrect size as stated on their website and I paid the shipping back. I wear a size large and ordered size large, did not fit then ordered a XLarge. Still too small. I had them shipped back and then Amazon closed my account.
To sum this up Amazon treats a customer of 19 years and who has spent over $20,000 with them all because they have NO competent people to do the research of why the account was closed before because of their own lack of security. I will NEVER purchase from them again, there is plenty of companies to buy from that have 2 day free shipping with comparable prices that do not treat their customers this way.

I purchased an Amazon gift card for a family member on December 16th for $50.00. On Christmas my family opened the card to use it and the claim code was scratched off. Originally, my assumption was perhaps it has been damaged, I never considered someone tampered with the card and committed fraud. Someone stole the claim code and waited patiently until the card was registered. I contacted the retail store I purchased and they indicated to contact Amazon directly since it was third-party.
Amazon does a great job at causing you a lot of work so get ready if you go to request a refund when you are a victim of fraud. They have an investigation escalation service team that has no telephone number so everything is done by email making it very difficult to speak with someone. I provided a receipt which showed my name, last four digits of my visa, along with the proof of gift card purchase, and a front and back copy of the tampered gift card. Folks this is just simply not enough for Amazon to refund your money. In fact, they put it on your bank that you used to purchase the credit. Amazon clearly got their money and do not care if fraud is committed. While I did file a claim with my bank, they too denied the claim. I specifically asked Amazon if they would be reporting the fraud to local authorities - to date, I have been unable to receive this response. Amazon would rather protect the fraud than the victim customer.
I received an email in which they proved another customer used the claim code, could prove I was not related to the person and yet still refuse to take care of the person that was stolen from. I would strongly suggest to never purchase a gift card from Amazon because if fraud is committed, they will give you the runaround, request copies of proof, and once provided tell you that they can prove fraud was committed but will not assist you in the refund. I would expect better practices from a billion dollar company. I informed Amazon I didn't even want the refund but that I wanted to ensure the person was reported, they refuse to answer what their process is. I ordered some item through Amazon, and it received 2 days back. What I received was different item, than what I ordered. I ordered Polymaker 3D Printer Filament Sample Package, 1.75 mm Filament, PolyPlus, PLA Filament, PolyMax PLA Filament, PolySmooth, PolyFlex, TPU Filament, PolyWood, Wood Filament, Random Colors, 5 X 45g, But I received a full bundle of Polylite filament. When I contacted their US branch, the person with whom I talked was arguing, the item I received it right one only. I said it is a sample package consists of 5 rolls of 45g sample filaments. He said from the description what he can understand is it is only one item.
Anybody who reads the above description can understand it is a sample package with small rolls. The one I received is actually slightly expensive than what I ordered, but as I already have the same item, I do not have any use. He said return it, he will refund. I said, "Who will pay for the shipment." He said I have to as it is an international shipment. I asked, "For your mistake, why should I pay." He said, "That is the policy..." Wow. Great Amazon...

On January 10, I placed an order for a book that I wanted. The next day, I received an email from Amazon saying that my order was on its way and will get on the 12th by 8pm. Saturday comes and then I find out that they sent the package to the wrong USPS processing facility so now I won't be getting my order until later in the coming week. Amazon customer service would not tell me why my order went somewhere that wasn't supposed to be. I guess this Amazon's passive aggressive way of saying that I should have paid for expedited shipping instead of choosing free shipping, not that it matters. Even if I had, I'm sure Amazon would have still found a way to screw up my delivery. Thanks for nothing, Amazon.

How humiliating and a huge waste of my time! Customer Service was no help whatsoever.

Many months ago, I started receiving dozens of thank you emails from Amazon on different purchases that I did not make. I called and was told my account would be closed and I should open another account and attach another payment method. I did so which resulted in being charged annually & monthly for Prime. I have called at least 4 more times, each time with the employee telling me I would receive an email within 24 hours and they had no record of my previous calls. During one of the calls the employee could “see” that someone else was receiving my emails and changing my password while on the phone. The employees would not refund the duplicate charges/payments I made for almost a year and to this day, they claim I have never talked to a representative. I’ve spent hours, at least 20 hours and cannot resolve this issue.

I had bought an item on Amazon about 10 years ago. When I tried to buy something else I could not verify my account and password. They said to set up another account. When I went to do this (numerous times) I was told I could not use the e-mail I gave them because it was all ready used, I tried again with a new e-mail and user name. They said that user name is already used. It was used because it was me who had set that up my original account. They said there was no way to verify that.
It was so frustrating, so my son who has a Prime account said he would order for me and I would pay him back, which I did. When I told him about it they faxed him a return label. This did me no good because I don't have a fax machine. Other companies I have dealt with mailed the return label to you so you could return it. I'm seventy years old and that meant I would have to go somewhere to receive the fax or e-mail, print it out, go to the post office and pay for it. Not to mention the fact the return label has to have an adhesive back. I don't know where I could go for that! What also bothers me is that a twelve year old girl can charge over a thousand dollars worth of merchandise on her mother's card and account without her knowledge and I can't even get them to verify my account!

Consumers need to understand and realize how bad this bank is. Today, Saturday 1-12-19 I received my Amazon.com store card in the mail which is supported by the Synchrony Bank. Also in the mail was a letter from the same bank saying that when I called them I was to use this passcode for identity verification. I didn't quite understand that at first so I went to register my card online as a 1st time user. Even though a week ago I had updated my phone number with this company on the phone; when it came to the website it wanted to send a verification code to my 'old phone number.'
This being an impossible task I called customer service and the lady couldn't do anything about it and put me through to a different department. Here I got Jason who was a very polite gentleman and I explained the whole situation to him. After being put on hold he turned around and said, "I'm very sorry but after looking into this we have to send you out a code in the mail." I said, "Hang on, I got a code today" and I read it out to him. He put me on hold for quite some time and when he came back he said, "We cannot verify this code as it was never put into our system."
I said, "Let me get this straight, your company sent me a code to verify who I am and now that I'm trying to read the very code that your company sent to me, you're saying it's invalid! Forget about it - just cancel the card." He said, "Would you like to talk to my manager," I said, "You just spoke to your manager and there's nothing you can do about it." He replied, "Once you cancel you can never reapply again," I said, "Would you want to belong to a company that has treated you as bad as this." I told him that I'll be letting Consumer Affairs, the BBB and the Attorney General of their state know what has happened here.

My family live in Scotland and I regularly get packages from my mum and sister, always delivered within two weeks, via Royal Mail. A package from my sister was mailed December 13, 2018, I received it December 21, 2018. Contacted Amazon, they said my purchase was NOT eligible for a refund, WHY NOT?? Three weeks ago I purchased a set of liquid motion timers for $16.95. I didn't realize until today as I was balancing my accounts that I'd been charged $29.95. Amazon frequently combines orders or breaks larger orders up, so the totals you're charged almost never match the total you're given when you check out. Because of that, I hadn't noticed the discrepancy. When I did notice, I immediately contacted them, and they refused to refund the difference. They accused me of just forgetting how much the item was - as if I'd forget that three cheap Chinese-made plastic toys were $30! - And said they would give me a mailing label to send them back for a refund, but otherwise would do nothing.
They accused me of just wanting a "post-purchase price correction" which they as a company absolutely will not do. This isn't even the only problem I've had this week, as earlier we received a wall thermometer that was obviously used and beaten up. We've had probably 10-12 used items sent to us as brand new from Amazon over the years. A belt we returned was listed as "refund pending" and it took forever to figure out they'd refunded a different payment source, which is what caused the confusion. (And when I realized they'd refunded the wrong card, that's when I went through my purchases with a fine-tooth comb and discovered I was charged almost double for these toys.) Lots of Prime items take 3-4 days even though they're supposed to be 2 days, which others have mentioned.

If I could give zero stars I would. Today I made purchases for college that I would need before I left this coming Monday, since the purchases were for supplies I was using my debit card with my college account attached and given it's rare I do online purchases (once a year to restock on supplies) my bank had me authorize that it was in fact me making the purchase. Before I did this, Amazon told me I needed to revise the payment and I received an additional email from them about it, once I authorized it with my bank and resubmitted my order it went through without a hitch and I received an email saying it was being processed. My bank had taken out all of the money from both orders (one was a handful of MP3s which was a nightmare unto itself that I will explain shortly).
Hours later I realize that I have Prime and am yet to get an email saying my items are being shipped so I just went on to Amazon itself to check and there it was, I needed a payment revision. I called up Amazon customer service and went through the loop giving my name email address and even when providing that there were problems! When giving my ZIP code I always provide the extension as that is how I write it on my account and the first time I called (yes I had to call three separate times for three different problems with my orders today) the girl tried telling me my account wasn't mine so I asked her what she typed in and she told me the ZIP without the extension so then I told her again the code and she said that the extension doesn't make a difference so she wasn't bothering to type it.
I urged her to just please type out the whole thing and when she does her response is "Oh I didn't realize that for your billing address you typed out your ZIP code and your extension that's why it wasn't verifying because I didn't write it how you did"... So I'm already upset clearly and when I explain to her my situation about the bank charging me but Amazon saying the payment needs to be revised and that I didn't have access to the card I used because I lock it away and I wasn't home so I had no access but since I needed the items within the two day span I ordered them in I really just needed the help then and there, she told me her hands were tied, that Amazon is saying the payment didn't go through, that they wouldn't have charged me if the order hadn't been set up to be shipped and processed.
I explained I got emails saying it had and she essentially told me her hands were tied so I thanked her and ended the call and let myself calm down before calling again to speak to someone else who could maybe be able to explain to me the reason behind the payment revision because it could be a million different things so I got on the new call and it starts smooth.
I was explaining to the woman my situation and she was very helpful and kind, I asked her why I hadn't received an email about this payment revision because I know there was an issue before and I cleared it with the bank and once it was cleared I received emails from Amazon thanking me for my orders and that they were being set up to be shipped. So I was confused because yes I had received a payment revision email before but that one was solved and that was proven by how ten mins later I got emails thanking me for my orders and I was even able to obtain my MP3s.
The most frustrating thing about this is when I was telling the woman the times I got the emails she was telling me that I was wrong that I actually received them at this time and I kept telling her no that wasn't the case. I am looking at my emails and she even accused me of looking at the wrong information, this is when I realized that I am on the east coast and the CS number is out west so I told her that we are in different time zones currently and that is what the mix up was and it still took her two more mins of arguing and telling me I was wrong and was looking at some other email before what I said clicked with her.
This customer service experience only gets worse when she explains to me that the reason for the revisions is insufficient funds and that my bank personally contacted them to keep the payment from going through, I explained to her that I was staring at my bank account and at charges from Amazon that were fully processed that added up to 439 dollars. She kept telling me regardless that she knows I wasn't charged because that isn't how she was told Amazon works, I kept asking her if this is now an issue with my bank or Amazon because I was charged and since you guys are asking me to revise the payment I don't want to be charged double since this order in the eyes of my bank account has been paid for.
All she did was tell me that Amazon wouldn't charge that the bank said I didn't have the money. I read out the full bank statement, still her insisting that she doesn't think that's possible so I told her, "I don't want to be charged twice. Is there any way you can check to see if maybe it did go through but not fully on your end because of this issue and that it could be possible that my bank just hasn't gotten back to Amazon yet confirming that it is me making the purchase so maybe it's being withheld on their end." She says she will look and proves my suspicions correct that there was a withholding with Amazon until the bank confirms with them, so I again then asked her if I should wait or should cancel and reorder now that my bank is aware of the intended purchase.
She again tells me the same nonsense that there are insufficient funds that I need to revise so at this point I just hung up. The third and final time I called CS was because when I downloaded my zip file of MP3s, I was missing a few albums and I saw on the invoice I purchased them so I figured that maybe there were multiple files so I continued to hit download till it locked me out and I still hadn't received the two albums that were missing.
So I call, and it starts off awful because I give the woman all of my information - my full name, email my address, all of it and she just kept asking me for my name over and over and I would give it and she would say that isn't the name on the account so I would tell her I didn't understand. She just kept repeating "What is your full name" so I would say it and she would tell me I was wrong and eventually I looked at my Amazon and saw it said "Hello (my nickname)" so I gave her that. She automatically jumps into the "Thank for calling Amazon customer service. I see you're a prime member. Thank you for that" as if she hadn't just fought me for 20 mins over what my name was when all she had to ask was what my nickname on Amazon was considering Amazon themselves in their settings recognize that the name they greet you with is a customizable nickname.
I'm at my wit's end with my whole day at this point and it only gets worse because when I explained that I was downloading the music to my computer and the downloads were missing. She kept telling me that on the web browser you don't need to download to your computer in order to listen. So I explained that I purchased the music to be placed on iTunes so I needed to download it and the problem was that I was no longer able to because I requested too many times and now I don't have some of the music I purchased due to not being able to download.
Again, like everyone else she talked me in circles repeating everything over and over until something got through and she ended up being able to help me which I am thankful for, however it was a phone call that lasted nearly an hour and once she realized that I wasn't trying to download for offline listening and that there was in fact music I couldn't access due to not being able to download anymore, the help took two mins not even.
Amazon customer service is a roller coaster where it takes you 100 hours to get to the top of it only for the best part of the ride to last about three seconds once you start to drop. They do not pay attention to the words of their customers, are vague, wishy-washy , and overall disrespectful (the second call I made about my payment revisions you could hear people in the background yelling and talking so I told the woman I had a hard time hearing her and she told me I needed to deal with it because it is busy and everyone has a call).
I am beyond disappointed that this billion dollar company can talk a big game about being a great website and provide very fast and accommodation for everything be it having next day shipping, or their "outstanding team of customer service members" who I am sure are just trying their best at a job they may or may not enjoy and that they most certainly deal with a lot of nonsense and stress but that shouldn't mean that they talk in circles with customers and then act like it is nothing when they finally understand where the customer is coming from.
Like I have the respect to have apologized for my confusing with my Amazon nickname situation because I felt bad for being so frustrated. They cannot even apologize for spending hours giving customers a hard time until they finally realized they were wrong. Amazon as a site is wonderful. It's fast, convenient, and has everything you could imagine. HOWEVER they truly need to consider hiring a more competent and kind customer service team.

After experiencing another situation from a seller that was being nasty about a previous item that was shipped to me broken I tried getting through to Amazon through their chat line. Feeling deflated and I just needed to talk to someone. After spending almost an hour explaining to her how upset I was how is it possible to receive an invoice with all the correct information and a shoe that similar but not even the same brand.
It’s obvious they were out and I got a letter about if I kept the shoe it would be 10% off. I mentioned to the customer service representative how uncomfortable I was dealing with a third-party which she included anyways in the conversation later on. It’s like she was trying to apologize but wasn’t listening to a thing I was saying. My refund was accepted and I received a full page of instructions on how it has to be shipped back. I ordered couple of items and I've seen regular unprofessional people delivering items with their child in the back seat and their other family members at front seat calling me with a Seattle phone number and asking me to go to the gate to receive my items. This is one thing, you can probably get by once or twice however now items are delivered to a public area of our community, unattended and left there without asking for signature or ringing the bell or ringing the door!
I needed the items for the weekend and my trip to another city. And every item was sort of important for this trip. It was right in midnight that called Amazon same day after seeing no delivery to report the missing items and the inconvenience. I asked them if they could reship the items or give me a refund at least to do so. And for delivery please do it in the gated area which I had no problem previously with delivering items. However not even Amazon didn't resend the items or giving me a refund, at least, to reorder the items, they are also not taking responsibility of the irresponsible, careless delivery person.
Unbelievably, they talked down to me on the phone and expected me to have a police report. What police report is going to do for me other than wasting my time. They won't give me my money back either. Now I have to travel without the items necessary because Amazon doesn't want to do its job which it was doing before. My dad and I have had Amazon Prime since 2007. I recently decided to try out some of the smart home devices like Alexa and Echo Dot. These were mostly for my dad as a gift for home security when we are away. Turns out he already has the gadgets he needs so I finally return the various items. I purchased two of them on an installment plan. Little did I know that I would basically be handing over FREE money to Amazon because my return was “no longer needed” instead of “item doesn’t match description” or one of the other reason codes that apparently give you free return shipping.
Long story short, I spent a total of $140. I only got $18 back on one plug and have yet to get a return on the second. They were shipped together so how they still haven’t processed the second is beyond me. The other items on installments I got a whopping $50 back on the echo. There’s still another $40 unaccounted for but again they chalk it up to return shipping, restock fees, AND to top it off they say they issued a FULL refund but interestingly enough my return order says they still haven’t received it...
After talking to customer service rep he said he would waive the fees on the second plug, but there’s still just a message saying a refund will be issued once they receive the item. Clearly I need to have tracking devices on all Amazon returns because they want to bone me over another $8. All the rep would say is that due to policy that the additional $20-40 I’m won’t be getting back.
So I asked if policy is more important than customer satisfaction because this entire mess was enough for me to cancel after 12+ years of being a Prime member. Enter standard “I’m sorry you feel that way ma’am it’s policy” and I said I wanted to cancel right there then and he was being a snarky ** about it and sounding super happy to help me cancel. Don’t waste your money on Amazon Prime. Reduce the amount of human error and policy BS. If you do decide to keep Amazon Prime LIE ABOUT THE REASON YOU'RE RETURNING because that will save you on return shipping.

Then, in a documented chat, an Amazon rep told me that I should order the chair through Amazon directly at their higher price and they would refund me the price difference after it shipped.
They've since refused to credit my account, stating it is against their policy to price match other vendors. The price was given to me before I placed my order, so I feel they were using deceptive sales techniques. I reached out to them multiple times to rectify the situation, even willing to settle for a partial refund or store credit. After getting nowhere, I filed a complaint with the BBB. My recent experience shows that Amazon is reaping benefits from the Membership premium as well as a markup of price on the individual item that is offered "Prime." For example, I recently ordered an item that was $26.99 Prime, but also available at $23.89 shipping included and not available "Prime." I opted for the $26.99 item because I needed it quickly, but the tracking information showed the item would not be delivered for one week.
I contacted Amazon at 1 (888) 280-4331 and talked with 3 customer service agents, all whom appeared to be foreign by dialect, to request a $3.00 price adjustment since my item was not being shipped in accordance with Prime guidelines. I was told that I did not order the item offered "Prime" and there would be no credit to my account. Yesterday I received the order with a packing slip that showed I had ordered the item "Prime." I made two subsequent phone calls and talked with customer agent who were far more empathetic.
One offered a $5.00 credit to my account. The other offered a $15 credit that could be used only on an item that was offered by Amazon. The credit would not show on my account, but would be applied the next time I ordered an Amazon item offered by Amazon. Mr. Bezos is likely the wealthiest American and is buying everything from grocery stores to pill pack for packaging prescription medications. While paying his employees low wages and enriching himself, he seems to have forgotten the central figure in his overall plan - his customers.
Following this experience I have decided to reduce the number of orders I place with Amazon and to buy locally whenever I can find the item available from a local vendor. It is apparent that Mr. Bezos no longer values my membership. I will vote with my feet and re-evaluate the value of my Prime Membership before it venues in April 2019. I would encourage others to consider doing the same. And I would encourage all whose Prime orders are not received within the guidelines to contact Amazon for a price adjustment and please write your reviews, both positive and negative. I have rarely written a negative review on any Amazon product and have, in the past, been pleased with most of the products and services I have received so this is a first negative review for me, but I am seeing a decline in the Amazon Prime service.

I have an FDA Approved, Class I device that I was trying to list on Amazon. Amazon gladly took my listing fee, but will not post my product, even after sending them all the evidence they needed. I contacted customer service many times, only getting the runaround the same generic emails over and over, that they are working on it and that they know this is urgent. Yet, no calls, no emails, no urgency at all, but they did take my money. I contact BBB, and I still get the same runaround from them. They tell me to work with customer support, I do. They tell me to submit pics of the item, I do. They tell me to send them FDA approval, I do, yet, nothing happens, but they do take my money. Amazon has been the worst experience ever, but because they are so big, they don't care about the little guy anymore.

Amazon clearly doesn't understand that if they are going to charge customers for a PRIME membership and guarantee delivery by a certain date that they need to deliver as promised. I am a PRIME member. I ordered five items three days ago all guaranteed by yesterday. When they failed to delivery I could not get in touch with anyone who had answers or anyone that could tell me when I would receive my packages. The online tracking shows my packages have been out for delivery since yesterday morning and the online representative is saying I should "probably" get them by tomorrow, that would be two days late.
After reading the reviews and having knowledge of Amazon's growth over the past year plus it is clear they do not have proper system and fail safes in place to support their need for profit. Given the fact that I do not have a smart phone so I can not take advantage of my PRIME membership at Whole Foods and that Amazon is clearly not equipped to handle the volume they desperately seek I am no longer going to be a PRIME member or shop Amazon. I'd take bricks and mortar any day over shopping Amazon.

KDP publishing services are like a "wolf in sheep's clothing." As a self published author you will lose part of yourself and will be subject to unscrupulous stuff. Yes it is free and it is voluntary. But you cannot sell your book elsewhere. Amazon also pays very low wages to independent authors, less than half a cent per page. Other self publishers are better. The people behind the scenes purposely make it where new authors can never sell a bunch of books. Amazon is only good for authors from Penguin Books and big publishing houses that want to sell digital copies (and hard copies) of their books. Amazon pretends to accommodate authors but they are wolves in sheep's clothing.

I have written over a dozen reviews for Amazon products, all rating a product or experience with 4 or 5 stars, except my most recent review. That last review was apparently "censored" and not published, unlike all the positive reviews. Amazon sent me a structurally damaged and unusable metal chair that had been advertised as "returned but like new." I should note that I have ordered 3 other such chairs, and one was indeed "like new," while the other two had superficial dings in them (so not quite up to snuff.)
However, It seems unbelievable that this particular chair was inspected prior to shipment as the damage - a 45 degree bend 4 inches from the bottom of one of the legs - was so obvious, yet the box it came in had no damage. Amazon shipped the chair via USPS, but when I wanted to return said chair vs USPS rather than UPS (UPS is 25 miles away), Amazon demanded I pay the USPS return postage, and submit photos of the damage, and then said it would later reimburse me. Their system also would not allow me to send in photos of the damage with the initial claim of a damaged item for return.
So I was stuck making a 50 mile round trip to UPS to return the chair with prepaid shipping, when in essence the chair should have just been thrown into the trash, or at least more conveniently returned via USPS, the same way Amazon shipped to me. Take home message: be leery of ordering anything bigger than a breadbox with Amazon, especially a "like new" returned item. Other companies have far more consumer friendly ways of returning and/or giving credit for blatantly damaged goods. This whole experience calls into question whether Amazon's rating system is a fair one at all.

I should have learned my lesson then and NOT actually paid the $12.99 for the next month, but I wanted to give Amazon the benefit of the doubt. During the free trial most of my orders got delayed and arrived a day or two after the supposed 2 day shipping date. One order was completely lost and another was delivered to the wrong address by their incompetent drivers. During the second month I thought it would get better once I paid. It started when I tried to link my Prime account with my Twitch.com account and that was a failure. According to customer service it was because my card was not verified, but it was verified enough to charge me for my prime account.
On to the other drama. I didn’t place any other orders until the last week of the month. On December 30 I placed an order which was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. The packed was delivered by an Amazon driver on Wednesday, to the wrong address... AGAIN!!! At that point I immediately canceled my membership after speaking with customer service for a refund on January 2nd. I was to be charged on the 4th for the next month. It’s now the 5th and I have been charged yet again. I contacted customer service for the fifth time in two months to cancel my membership. I was told I needed to turn off the auto renewal button. In fact, the item that was supposed to arrive on January 2nd, wasn't shipped until the 3rd. This was a one-day item ordered on December 30th. Due to the holidays, I was patient. When the item didn't arrive on the 2nd, I contacted Amazon on the 3rd to inquire about the status. That's when I was told there was a delay. I told them I was going to cancel the item, and did so myself; however, I received an email notification later that day stating that it had shipped and was expected that day.
Three days later, no book. And, I received another notification this morning that there is another delay and I could cancel, but there was no guarantee that it would be cancelled because it was on its way. Make up your minds Amazon - is it on its way, or is it delayed? And, how can a package that has already been cancelled, twice, still be on its way when it never shipped in the first place? I am surprised that an American company, like Amazon, bans the sales of certain books because of a politically powerful group. For example, Amazon banned a book by MS King, The Bad War...and there are other books. This should not be permitted by any large company because it stifles free speech, books should not be banned, especially history books because we all know, ”that the victors write the history,” which is mostly lies and damages our society. I believe also, that Amazon banned me from writing reviews because of the books that I read, and review, however, Amazon policy does not permit them to tell me why I am not permitted to review products that I purchase from the Amazon site. All a bit of Big Brother.
At least our monopolistic American corporations should be required to be a little more transparent, or the Sherman Anti Trust Act should be used. Having already cancelled my Prime due to delivery issues, I was already losing my enthusiasm for Amazon (Canada). An order from a 3rd party seller a couple of months ago ended up convincing me I can't trust anything on Amazon anymore. Ordered a set of LED bulbs for kitchen light fixtures that are difficult to change bulbs in - so I thought LED would last longer. First they ended up being shipped directly from China, so took extra time to arrive. Now, after three months, 25% of the bulbs failed. So I ask for replacements, but seller no longer has stock. Look at the reviews for seller on US site, then discover they were de-listed for non-delivery and selling counterfeit items. Check my order and discover my bulbs were not the brand ordered (likely counterfeit as well).
What should have been a simple issue to resolve with Amazon ended up being a frustrating multiple email exchange, and many unanswered questions. Biggest one was why Amazon Canada would continue to allow a scam seller banned many months earlier in the US to continue to sell in Canada. I never got an answer to that, or multiple other questions about the issue of counterfeit goods. I asked Amazon to send me the brand name bulbs I ordered, no response. Instead I get emails saying I've missed deadlines, or don't qualify for refunds. This, by far, is the worst customer service I've seen - even worse than Samsung! Moral of the story, don't order anything from 3rd party sellers on Amazon - and be careful about dealing with Amazon. Period.

Since we would not be working Saturday, I changed the delivery location to my home address. All this within an hour of starting.
Come Saturday, two of the seven arrive. Monday, one more comes. That means four Christmas presents would not be opened on Christmas morning. Now, it is January 02, Six of the seven arrived. One now states it may come by the end of January. How does that equate to two-day shipping for Prime items. So today I order a Prime item. States on the screen delivery by the 4th. When I order it, it states delivery between January 8th and the 11th. I cancel the order, and reorder the same thing. Now it states it will come this Saturday, January 5th. There is no easy way to see what charges are reflected on your bank account and where those charges are coming from at Amazon other than going into each order, then into the invoice per order and reconciling it that way. This is extremely time consuming and Amazon have confirmed there is no other way to do this but to go through this tedious process per order. You would expect that there is some sort of statement from Amazon that summarizes all the invoice charges in one place.

Getting 2-day shipping as a Prime member is apparently no longer on the table, the customer service help is offshore, and they have no idea about what the products are when you try to get help. Amazon once had great customer service, now they are completely indifferent, not even bothering to answer email inquiries and being next to useless over the phone. May they perform osculatory acts upon my posterior.

I’ve been an Amazon customer for many years, and I’ve had Prime for most of them. It used to be that I could find what I wanted for a cheaper price and have it delivered quickly. Now the prices aren’t nearly as competitive, but worse is the delivery. USPS, and UPS got my packages to me quickly. They didn’t lose things. They bothered to knock when they dropped things off on my doorstep.
First they switched to OnTrac, who stole and/or lost my packages frequently, or just delivered them late. I think the record was 4 months later than the promised delivery date. Now I’ve got Amazon's delivery people. Some random person, who leaves packages where they can be seen (real nice when the box shows what is in it), doesn’t knock, and once called me while I was at work. The caller didn’t identify himself, and spoke so fast. I couldn’t even understand him. When I finally got that it was supposed to be an Amazon delivery, I thought it was a scam (until I came home and found the package). So, I’m breaking up with Amazon. They’re getting shadier as the years progress. And their customer service call center is staffed with offshore employees that really don’t give a **.

I ordered Arctic MX-4 thermal compound on the 25th Christmas Day. Prime guaranteed 2 day delivery by the 28th. Still in Amazon's hands on the 29th. What is up with this crap. I pay for Prime. I expect Prime benefits.

Amazon adds a description for their Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5", Black (SM-T590NZKAXAC). They refer to an S pen that comes with the tablet. It does not. False advertising at its best!! I called support and the agent agrees that it does stipulate this and it should then provide the item. She says she has to upgrade this to a supervisor. I wait ages to be transferred and as soon as she picks up, she says, "Hello" and hangs up. I get a call back and she hangs up again. Then silence!! Do I have 2 hours to spend on this? No!! Will seriously consider cancelling my Prime membership now.

Wow. I have been shopping with Amazon for YEARS. Their customer service now is horrendous. Extremely slow, lots of repeating and no resolution. I ordered 2 echos, only 1 arrived so they sent a replacement. I wasn’t able to register them. When I connected with customer service, they gave me the runaround, kept transferring me and took up a lot of my time. They take 2-10 minutes to respond to a question. I’m done with this company.

I have been a long time Prime member and order from Amazon weekly. I ordered a Fitbit Alta HR as a Christmas gift to myself. I already have a Fitbit Alta and wanted to upgrade to an Alta HR. Long story short, I received the wrong item twice. The best they can do to fix my problem is to offer a refund. The "manager" couldn't even figure out how to email me a return label. His exact words were, "I'm at the mercy of the computer". Thanks Jimmi, I will try your competitor, Jet.com. Now the item that was on sale for $98 is no longer on sale and cost $32 more from Fitbit. Please watch the description when ordering from Amazon, you may not always pay for what you intend to order. #dissastisfiedexcustomer#

Ordered an item a couple weeks ago for $49 and it dropped now to $39. Figured most stores offer a match policy. I would contact Amazon to chat about it. I started the chat and explained the issue. The agent said he would transfer me to someone who can help. What happened after was almost comical. The 2nd agent transferred me to a 3rd agent. 3rd agent looked and then transferred to a 4th agent. Not joking! They did not say anything besides that they will connect me. 4th agent straight off the bat told me no. Not even apologizing for the fact that I was bounced 3 times. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor *argued* with me on chat that I was wrong - twice! I had to explain to the supervisor my point, and only after I explained he flat out said no again. Also no apology from the supervisor whatsoever. Terrible service.

The customer service outsourced to India is terrible!!!!! They do not comprehend simple things. Like how a credit card dispute works in America -- I am not exaggerating. It is terrible!! They are charging me twice for the same order# and they have now given that order# two transaction dates. I have went back and forth with them for weeks even with proof the order# is paid!! I even repaid an order that wasn't mine to try and resolve it! Terrible!!

On August 28, 2018, I ordered a set of speakers through Amazon for my son. The speakers were ‘delivered’ on September 10, 2018. Although the delivery contract specified that the package could only be delivered to my son upon receipt of his signature, the FedEx delivery person instead gave the speakers to another individual in my son’s apartment building. This individual signed his name as ‘Tommas’ - a name with which both my son and I are unfamiliar. ‘Tommas’ has since made no attempt to return the speakers to us. One can only conclude that ‘Tommas’ stole the speakers, and that this theft was facilitated by a failure to uphold the delivery contract by FedEx.
From September through November, my son made numerous attempts to receive reimbursement from the seller, e@World, and FedEx. In November, after his attempts were thwarted several times, he asked Amazon what could be done. Amazon instructed him to make no further contact with e@World or FedEx, and assured him that Amazon would procure a refund for me. Since then, Amazon’s claims department has denied my refund three times. It is now December 28, 2018 - nearly four months after my speakers were stolen, and I believe Amazon has no intention of procuring the refund they promised me. In sum, Amazon’s customer service representatives have repeatedly promised me a refund, while Amazon’s claims department has repeatedly denied me a refund. The A to Z guarantee is worthless, and you can expect Amazon to deny the refund you deserve for lost and stolen items.
