I find it strange that Amazon has no way to review the company. I ordered a set of shocks front and rear and 4 days later I realized that I needed to order 2 each, wasn't sold in pairs, so instead of canceling my first order just ordered the other 2 I needed. Well that order came in a week, but my first order still hasn't got shipped, so I call customer service and a nice lady told me she couldnt figure out why the first set didn't ship, and said she would look into it and get them out as soon as possible, now these are a warehouse product, no third party seller.

So another week goes by and call again, still no help from amazon, I ask if she can try to expedite them and get told that would make it take longer and put me in the back of the line and uses the excuse that it's the virus that's the issue, but cant explain why the order that I did later has already arrived, so just a bunch of bull and no help, so I also ask how I can review amazon itself and told I can only review the product or 3rd party sellers, so no help no parts and truck still not on the road. So no matter how bad amazon treats you, there's absolutely nothing you can do or let anyone know about their warehouse products and customer service, I looked everywhere to find a place to post about my experience and this is it, no place else. Doesnt that seem odd that they're that big and cant be reviewed anymore.

I used to buy a lot of everyday products on Amazon, because I don't like going to the pharmacy or grocery store for things like deodorant, dish soap, etc. But I notice that after the COVID-19 panic, Amazon is now practicing price gouging. Products that used to be sold at a reasonable cost now cost three to four times as much. This is disgraceful and very disappointing. I'm now ordering on-line the same everyday household items at a national retailer, at a reasonable cost, and will continue to do so after the COVID-19 panic is over. I hope Amazon eventually realize that the short term profits from gouging their customers will hurt overall profits in the long run.

I opened an Amazon account for shopping online. They locked my account and asked for my Credit card Statement which I sent them right away. (The shipping and Billing addresses need to match). They never unlock my account and also didn't answer my call. Very bad experience. I had to use Wayfair app instead. Hopefully, Amazon management will fix this issue for others as well or you may lose potential customers. We may need to help other companies to compete against Amazon so it is good for customers.

I have been a Prime member for several years, mostly for the 2 day shipping but lately it seems as though everything is coming from China since it takes 2-3 weeks to get alot of the products sold on their site. I will be rethinking my Prime membership when it comes up for renewal.

I purchased online and because I was not familiar with the brand, I inquired and was told it was comparable to Fiora. The quality are the item was ridiculously cheap. Please see the photographs. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Amazon basically is doing nothing about it because of profits, they're selling cheap items from China and making it apparent that they are not going correct the problem with the seller.

As COVID ramps up and consumers have increased difficulty making purchases, some companies are using this as an opportunity to build brand strength and loyalty. Not Amazon - it is pricing and allowing their third party vendors to price needed product unreasonably. Increased pricing in times of high demand is expected in a free market economy. As one example: Active dry yeast at $15.99 per ounce (usually pennies per ounce) is beyond good business.

I have been a substantial user of Amazon's services for several years, averaging about one purchase a week over that time. But, now, with Coronavirus, there's absolutely no service from them. They don't respond, they don't care, they've turned to filling orders from anyone without regard to whether they are reliable customers or newbies. It's a financial boon to them... but they're absolutely losing me as a steady customer with their attitude toward those of us who made them what they are today!

I can no longer support a business that has no regard for treating their most reliable customers favorably. Yes, other people have rights to their service, too. But, companies who are "grabbing for big bucks" by advantaging NEW customers over STABLE, EXISTING CUSTOMERS are not reliable in the long-run. I'm swearing off Amazon until they start treating THEIR MOST ARDENT, FREQUENT PURCHASERS as if they are important...not just mere sources of money whom they can abandon at will! STUPID MOVE, AMAZON! WE, who have stood by you, have been clearly given a backseat to GETTING MORE CUSTOMERS signed up...most of whom will return to their prior habits as soon as the crisis subsides.

You'll make more money now...and you'll lose the stable, regular customers who helped you BUILD your business, and keep it afloat when no crisis is at hand. Ultimately, giving the low frequency of events like the current coronavirus phenomenon, you will have a long time recovering from your windfall! I'll be back when you decide that your long-term customers MATTER to you...but I don't expect your greed to subside enough to reach that point!

Sometime in February or March, 2020, Amazon stopped selling products. All sales are now handled by third party sellers. These sellers are not always reputable. Some do not stand behind their products. Some of these sellers are dishonest. It is not easy to find out about them. It can be done, but it takes emails to the sellers to ask questions about their locations, whether returns will have to be sent to China. I have been actually cheated by one of their suppliers and scammed by several others. Amazon does not easily provide detailed information about these sellers. Amazon has given me no help in getting a refund from the dishonest suppliers. I am handicapped and have relied on Amazon for most of my purchases for the past 10 years. This change, with no concern for consumers, is very disappointing. Amazon is hiding behind the virus to foist this change on its customers.

I've been an Amazon customer since 2004. I paid for the Prime membership, I've had good experiences. Should something had gone wrong with my order, they usually give me a credit. When it comes to pre-ordering though, it's a nightmare! My first problem was with the game Dead or Alive 6. I was promised a downloadable code for some extra costumes/characters. When the game released, I got my game but no code. I gave it a few days to see if there might have been a delay, but nothing ever came through. So I called them and was told they had to transfer me to a special department in order to get that code. After they had did some digging, they provided me the code over the phone.

The second was a gift for a family member which was Ace Combat 7. Their site promoted that you got all these aircrafts and special content for the game. Once again, no code on release day or a week after release. I called them and at first they had to write an email to the special department again. When they got back to me, they provided the code for a different system. Had to call back again and next thing I know, I was getting multiple codes for the following week and one of the codes not even having to do with the game I ordered.

Next pre-order issue was when I preordered The Nun on Blu-ray and The Happytime Murders on Blu-ray. Movies arrived damaged on release date. I called and I was told to dispose of them, donate them whatever. They sent me another set, arrived damaged again. They asked for The Happytime Murders to be sent back and The Nun just to dispose of again. After 2 weeks, somehow I ended up with 4 copies of The Nun and 3 copies of The Happytime Murders because they kept telling me to dispose of them. Crazy right?

Next was Final Fantasy VII remake. I preordered it a year before when the Deluxe edition was announced. A few months later, I saw they had a coupon to save $24 on it. So I canceled my preorder and redid my order with the coupon. That was in October 2019, fast forward to January 2020, they canceled my order because they couldn't charge my card. I called up and asked, "Why are you trying to charge my card when the item is nowhere near its release date (as I was told many times that Amazon doesn't charge you until they are shipping your item out)." The representative tried to say that they always charge beforehand so they can just ship it. I explained to her that's not the case and she argued with me.

I then asked then why whenever I preorder something it doesn't get charged until a day or two before it ships? She didn't have an answer. So I called back and the representative said I was correct and issued a $24 credit. She asked for me to preorder while I was on the phone with her and I did with no problem. I then saw the release date show up and say "April 10th". So of course I was looking forward to it. Going into March, they send me an email saying they don't know when it will be in stock and apologized. I called up because my copy was paid in full. They blamed the manufacturer and said to contact them. They recommended that I didn't cancel but to ask the manufacturer. So a day or two later, it showed it was on track again for release date delivery.

Later in the month, they send me a message now saying they are prioritizing customers due to the Coronavirus and I wouldn't get my copy on release date. When I reached out, they said it depends if drivers are in my area, I live in a city, there are Amazon drivers here everyday. So I gave them an ultimatum of either giving me the game half price of $79.99 or keep the promise of delivering it on release date as they promote on their site. They want to give me the game half price, so ok.

Last straw was Resident Evil 3. Preorder it because it was on sale for $49.99. Once again they couldn't charge my card. Didn't even have anything to do with my bank, I changed my card and they pushed it after release date again. I contacted them, they couldn't move it up. I asked, "Can we change the address," first it was yes then they couldn't. Then I asked if I could redo the order, the representative said sure, canceled this one and preorder again. I canceled my order and next thing I know "Item is currently unavailable. We don't know when it will be back in stock" I tell the representative this and she ditches chat and puts someone else in. Real professional... So I'm swearing off preordering with Amazon. I've had a few other issues but these were just some. I would recommend pre-ordering somewhere else until Amazon can get their act together.

Terrible experience with the return Department! After making a purchase for one pair of shoes in January, they sent me three pair of the same shoes wrong size! I went by their rules with everything as far as returning them within one week. Shortly after that they charged my bank account for a pair they said was not returned. It was cleared up. 3 months later they decided to do it again! They did not give any notice! They sent me an email after the fact saying they charged my account again and that the return was never sent to them in their timely manner. OMG my bank had to block them from charging me again. Also! During this pandemic time they do not have a customer service phone number to speak someone. Wow! They have someone charging my account but no one to talk to! Terrible Business!

All I hear from Amazon is apologies and that the information I provided has been sent to a specialist (a mystery specialist) who should contact me within 24-48 hours but has never been in touch with me. So since the 15th of March 2020 I have no access to my account which I pay for as a Prime member and I can't use my Amazon balance which is around £100. The instructions also states that our lobby is closed after 5:00pm and no deliveries can be made after that. Still they try to deliver after 5:00pm. Today after talking with Amazon and being assured for about the 20th time that my packages would be delivered to my door, I had to go down to the lobby and sort through 8 packages to find mine because the Amazon Driver just dumped them on the floor. With this self-isolation and virus threat you would think the drivers would follow instructions and leave the packages at the door. I order, it's declined. They didn't put the credit of 100 dollars towards it.

So I go back find it for some reason 330 again. I order it and the 100 goes towards it. 230 dollars. Then email saying payment declined. I call my Bain they tell me amazon has only taken out my prime membership fees. And didn't try to do any other payments. I canceled my Amazon Prime membership before I was due to be charged because the coronavirus has effectively laid off our household and we can no longer afford it. I was charged early this week for my HBO subscription on Amazon prime. After contacting them regarding the charge that was supposed to be canceled I was told that the issue would be resolved, my account would be canceled, and I would be refunded. I was charged immediately for my prime account that night and the following morning for a showtime subscription which was included in my prime bundle. I contacted Amazon again and this time they kept passing me off to other customer service representatives.

Finally I manage to reach someone but her English is spotty and she doesn't understand I'm asking for a refund and to find out why or how I was still charged for what was supposed to be a canceled membership. I spent 15 minutes at least repeating what the issue was and she just kept sending me a message detailing what I was charged for. I'm now overdraft on my bank account. On top of Amazon charges my bank charged me excessively for every charge from prime. I've tried to chat with customer service, call, and email. I've yet to reach anyone actually listening and resolving my issue. On top of it all my accounts are canceled yet I don't have the refund to show for it. Essentially I paid for nothing. So now I'm having to deal with this through my bank because I cannot seem to get this resolved with Amazon. Their customer service reps at this point are terrible. Even my bank was surprised at how it was handled.

I tried to call customer service and get a recording stating that Amazon customer service is shut down due to the coronavirus. I have not found any other company that has shut down its customer service. Other companies' customer service lines are working, with their employees working from home. Given the current state of technology, why can't Amazon maintain its customer service by having its representatives work from home? Is Amazon still paying its customer service representatives, or is this an excuse for Amazon to save money--profit from the coronavirus?

I asked them what were the necessary items with no answer. I guess toilet paper and paper towels are top priority over the safety of a human life in a motor vehicle.

I was on the phone with four representatives and three supervisors with no satisfactory results. They all just passed the buck from one to the other. One f the supervisors was supposed to escalate the matter to a higher department and left me on hold for 30 minutes and then just disconnected after I had been on the phone for 1 hour and a half with different Representatives. I have 2 comments to make. 1 I agree about some kind of reimbursement for prime membership not because of things being delivered late, that is expected in this situation but because I am not even allowed to put available products I really need in my cart! I get blocked by a white screen that comes up and states, "Sorry no seller deliverable in your area." These are the same products I have been ordering for years and I live just a several blocks away from a major city. I see UPS come through our neighborhood everyday so I watch helplessly as these products which are not a now that there a virus scare something I would just now be buying get bought out from under me.

The 2nd issue is my major issue and it has to do with all of you out there who are healthy and can get to a store yourself. No one has spoken up about this and it needs to be addressed. I am home bound and basically bedridden from a rare immune deficiency disease so I am immune compromised all the time so I always have these disinfectants and masks all the time. They are essential to my health. I am alone on my own and have no way to get these items or other regular items for daily care except through Amazon Prime & Prime Now which is no longer delivering to my area because they have no open time slots. So I am alone without any help and no way to get anything because even places like CVS or OFFICE DEPOT will only have these items for pick up in store. I am going without and more vulnerable than ever.

There are others like me maybe not my same medical conditions but same situation. So please if you are able bodied and can get to a store or have someone who can do so for you, it may be inconvenient but by buying up way more than you need and using services that you don’t need you have already placed people like me in a dangerous position. They say it takes a crisis to bring out the true nature of people and sadly that is true, well take a look now. People are selfish and the hoarding and not looking out for or even thinking about others who may not be able to get things for themselves shows you this.

If people just got about 2-3 weeks at a times worth of what they absolutely need and left some on the shelf for the next to do the same and they saved the online delivery services for those who can’t do without them then we wouldn’t be where we are now. And as for these companies that only allow purchases in store, you are guilty Just as well. PPE and sanitizers should go first to healthcare workers, I used to be one until I became ill, including first responders, and then their patients and elderly. I share my few supplies with the RN or N.P. that visits me not just for her protection but mine, think about it, patients who are home bound and receiving medical care in home are far more vulnerable than any healthy person who just uses common sense and washes their hands more often and stays home if sick.

All healthy people are panicking and hoarding while those of us who are pretty much living in isolation all the time are like, well welcome to our world. At least you know that at some point your isolation will end. Ours won’t. I applaud Amazon’s hiring more people, but only if it is going to once again allow those who are not only prime members but home bound to have access to items and Prime Now services.

I've been ordering books valued at $100+ from Amazon for about a year now, and the last couple of times I've gotten books delivered they have came in the mail damaged because they weren't packaged properly. A few examples would be corners and spine on a hardcover book getting dinged up because they are being delivered in an oversized box with little padding/no protection from handling. Another example would be having the front of a cover on another hardcover book being sliced with what looks like a box cutter, plus damage to the spine with poor packaging.

It's unfortunate because everything else about their service is great, but it means nothing when the product comes home damaged. Fortunately they are very lenient with their return policy, and you're not expected to pay for any shipping, which is how it should be. Having to re-box and go to your local post office to make a return is extremely inconvenient. If another item comes in damaged I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Not wanting to pay for these clubs without the points, I cancelled the transaction. I stupidly assumed that my points would be credited back. Nope. 3 phone calls and 2 chat sessions, and the final verdict, from a client support specialist, "I can not see the transaction, so there is nothing that I can do". I asked, "Can I give you the receipt number from the bank, and you can have the points department (Yes, there is allegedly a points department, and a few weeks ago they told me a brilliant lie.) call the bank to verify that Amazon.com did indeed get credited for these points." Nope, she could not do that.

The points department, a few weeks ago, told me that they spoke to the bank, and that my points would show up again on my credit card after the next credit card cycle. So I waited over two weeks for my credit card to cycle, and no surprise, the points did NOT magically reappear into my credit card account. It has now been 1 month, 3 phone calls, 2 chat sessions, and over 3 hours wasted, just to be told "there is nothing that I can do". Maybe it's just me, but when a company mistakenly takes over $30 from you, and then say that they can do nothing to get that money back to you, well, at least to me, that seems like really bad customer service, and it does not reflect well on that company.

In addition, a telephone number and contact person (including their email address) was provided.

On the scheduled date of delivery I received an email from Amazon regarding an attempted delivery. I noticed immediately the attempt was 2.25 hours before the time provided for the business. I contacted Amazon immediately and informed them. It was acknowledged that the attempt was in fact outside of the hours provided. I asked the representative to contact their delivery unit and confirm delivery would be made prior to 5pm. She informed me, after being placed on hold for 22 minutes, the driver did not have a phone! I asked t ok speak with a supervisor.

The "Supervisor" was less than helpful and completely unable to do anything to ensure delivery. Based on this fact, coupled with the fact that I would lose $150 for shop fees otherwise, I requested that the order be cancelled. This request was made PRIOR to delivery of the item. Amazon was in and maintained possession of said item.

The order was cancelled and I received an email from the supervisor in which she stated the following in relevant part: "It will be returned to us, and we'll issue a full refund when we process the return". The item IS/WAS/HAS BEEN in possession of Amazon from the start! There is no justification for not issuing an immediate refund based on all the facts.

It is my opinion that Amazon feels they no longer have to listen to customers and customers have become open to accepting mediocrity and leas than professional service with an attention to detail. Well Prime membership or not - I'm done with Amazon.com and the poor service they provide. No more excuses. Accept responsibility. And I'm confident their delivery driver had a telephone! I do not want to continue with amazon anymore and this will definitely lead to a bad word of mouth. Before I discontinue, I want you tell you my pretty bad experience with Amazon.

1). No prime benefits. I subscribed for Amazon prime membership but it was a waste of money for me. I didn't get any benefit from it. I didn't get any early delivery benefit. I recently ordered Noise wireless earbuds and Titan Raga watch but they were delivered to me after 5-7 days. Where is the prime benefit? Why I'm choosing Amazon over other local stores where I can get the delivery on the spot? Prices are same at stores also. I have already checked it. Then why we will wait for 5-7 days Amazon delivery when you you are getting on same day?

2). Used/returned products. Many times I have got the used products with scratches on it. This is the quality of Amazon. You just rewrap the used or returned products and delivers it to customers. We are not paying any less amount to Amazon, then why we are getting scratched products on the price of new products. It was not once, it is happening on every delivery or return.

    3) Damaged Products. What we getting after waiting for 5-7 days is damaged products. Sometimes products comes completely damaged and sometimes features of products doesn't work properly. We thought that Amazon will ease our life but you have brought frustration in our life.

4). No on time delivery. When selected address for the product is commercial/office and it is clearly mentioned that delivery should be done from morning 10 to evening 6, then why your so called app is showing that it will be delivered by 9 pm and why your delivery boy is coming after the mentioned time. The delivery attempted for the particular product was 09:08PM. You do not value our time but for your kind Information our time is more valuable that's why we are selecting amazon to ease our life and save the time. Amazon has the worst customer service ever! I have had three experiences over the last month and they have failed every time. First you deal with a robot, then you deal with people who speak broken english because they obviously outsource this service.

I tried to add the extra warranty on a item that I ordered and wasn't given the option at checkout so I called to add it and the agent told me he couldn't change the order because he did not have access. so I had to cancel the order and do it all over again. So he asked me if I wanted to cancel the order and I said yes but guess what showed up? You guessed it, the item I canceled was shipped anyway. So now a second call, I will need to ship it back, wait for a refund and order it again. What the ** ?

Another item I ordered was delivered and it was not the correct item. I contacted the seller and started the claim process. The seller told me to send the item back and they will send the correct item. I asked for a shipping label and I would be glad to(The item was shipped from Germany). I received a label with postage due. Considering this was at no fault of mine I contacted Amazon customer service wanting a postage paid return label. Well the woman told me that I had to pay the shipping, send in them the receipt and I would be refunded the shipping cost. What? So I have to put up the shipping cost to GERMANY! and wait who knows how long for my refund and then wait 2-3 more weeks to get the correct item I ordered because the seller screwed up? She said because it a "third party seller" that is the policy. What the **!

When you order anything on eBay you have zero problems with returns because they understand the customer is always right and without them you don't have a business! If its no fault of your own they make the seller pay for return shipping or refund your money. Guess where ill be ordering my stuff from now on?

Above that the customer service team is so superficial that they give robotic answers and don’t even listen emphatically. It was only when I demanded the receipt of delivery from them then they at least acknowledged that order wasn’t delivered. They give any vague statements like - "You will get a resolution in 24 hrs or 48 hours." It’s been more than 4 days but I have not gotten any call or resolution. Today suddenly I see in the app that they issued refund. When I called (this must be my 6th or 7th call) I was told that the case is CLOSED from their end. Pathetic, incompetent and very very robotic customer service.

They suddenly totally changed their return policy from returning your money as soon as they knew you had shipped the item back, to making you wait about 2 weeks to get your money back. If you call and ask for your money, you get some foreigner who can't speak or write English who just keeps telling you it's in transit, though there's no way UPS take 7 days to get a package from Oregon to Washington. This is crap. I have cancelled all my accounts with Amazon, and I will be buying from Walmart.com from now on. At least they return your money right away.

Amazon is engaged in deceptive business practices and fraudulent advertising as it pertains to shipping. I have argued and battled with them over it for years. I have filed many complaints with the Ohio Attorney General. They advertise shipping times they can not meet, and advertise better times for higher prices or as incentive for their paid Prime service, that they then still fail to meet. When confronted or questioned Amazon's staff and executives are evasive or outright unresponsive - just quoting and re-quoting their extensive and convoluted shipping policies and how they have a formula that accounts for seemingly everything under the sun, including a zombie apocalypse. They feel justified that on an order where the shipping method chosen is 5-8 days, or where it is promised 2 days that they can hold that order in the handling phase for over 19 days before shipping and this does not invalidate the shipping time chosen.

This is ludicrous. They refuse to investigate orders that are given excessive shipping estimates to provide the cause or reason, even when effort is made to reach out to the office of Jeff Bezos. Instead the executives who reply provide the same unhelpful circular answers and scripted quotes from Amazon's shipping policies as does Customer Service. Amazon is dominant in online retail, with enough of the market share for retail to be considered a monopoly. There are fewer and fewer brick and mortar department stores, especially in the Youngstown Mahoning Valley area, and product selection is non-existent as a result (no more K-mart, Hills, Ames, Sears, Macy's, JC Penneys, Payless Shoes, Toys R Us, Staples, Circuit City...)

For clothing, no local stores carry my size, forcing me to shop online, and ultimately through Amazon because I can only find them there it seems. This forces me into dealing with a company who is engaging in deceptive tactics and disregarding reasonable expectations. Amazon needs to be more transparent on their shipping policies and needs to limit the time their "formula" will allow for handling to a reasonable level. It is not and never has been unreasonable for a consumer to expect something ordered with 5-8 day shipping to arrive in 5-8 days, not 20.

Customers do not deserve is to be beaten over the head with explanations of Amazon shipping policies while no real answers are provided, run in circles, spoken down to, dismissed out of hand, get lied to, be given the same canned and scripted answers that Amazon phone support provides while not getting any answers or attempts to address or resolve the questions or problems. Without external regulation, Amazon will only continue to abuse its customer base because it realizes they have little choice these days.

I find it unfair as a consumer to be forced into this situation where I have to be subject to the whims of a corporation who can outright advertise in print and media false shipping times. I strongly believe state and federal regulations are needed (actually based on my research they already exist but no one cares to enforce them). Enforcement of fair business regulations should not be the burden of the consumer.

I spent 3 hours on the phone with customer service trying to get it unlocked. Now at this point I have set up a second Amazon account to make my purchase. Changed bank cards and placed the order again on a different account with a different card. That account is now blocked too. A lot of the parts in my cart were for my car. I need them to repair my vehicle so I can get to work. Amazon was the best place to find what I needed but the most aggravating to deal with being that both accounts are now locked! I would like to have my accounts unlocked ASAP but there’s no easy way for them to do that.

    Reviewed March 7, 2020

I've recently noticed a pattern in ordering from Amazon where when an order is placed within several minutes' cutoff for next or two day Prime delivery, the system stalls in placing the order so it will miss the cutoff and be bumped to the following day's delivery time from what it originally quoted. This is something that has happened multiple times and in a way that has caused me to be suspicious. For example, today I placed an order that needed to be placed in "2 minutes, 37 seconds" to be delivered the next day. Very close to the cutoff, but I had a last minute need and I went to place an order for the item I needed immediately, and I still had a couple minutes to go. I hit "place order" and the page displayed the spinning dial indicating that it was loading. But it took way longer to go through than a typical order from Amazon. In fact, it took *exactly* 2 minutes, 37 seconds to go through.

As I watched the screen, the timer continued counting down until it hit the exact time that would have bumped the order into the cutoff for an additional day's delay in delivery. This isn't the first time this has happened with orders that are placed near the cutoff where it takes that *exact* amount of time for the order to go through that would be needed to miss the delivery cutoff. Amazon now can say "you placed the order after the cutoff" even though I technically hit the button to place the order well within the cutoff and their system delayed in actually placing it until after. If it didn't take *exactly* as long as it would need for that to happen, down to the second, it wouldn't seem as suspicious-- but multiple orders being placed near the cutoff time have done this. Meanwhile, every other order I've placed that has not been so close to the cutoff (for many more items, too) have gone through in just a couple seconds. There's no reason why orders placed near the cutoff would take so much longer, especially when it's exactly enough time down to the second to push them past the cutoff time.

I tried to voice this concern to Amazon's support-- essentially that orders placed near the cutoff time are taking so long to actually place that they are being pushed to delivery a day later instead of the delivery window that was quoted (if placed before a certain time)-- but the representatives do not even seem to understand what I am talking about, and their recommendations make no sense (one rep told me repeatedly to "check the items" but would not say what she meant by that when asked, and instead just repeatedly copied and pasted the URL of each item I ordered over and over again). I just wanted to file some sort of complaint about this issue so that they might address what the problem is an try to work on it, but literally none of the representatives seemed to understand anything I said to them. Even more frustrating was how every rep I spoke to simply left the chat without warning, forcing me to have to re-explain the issue over and over again to an string of new representatives that also didn't understand anything or respond in a way that made any sense.

I don't always expect items to get to me as fast as possible, and I don't always expect to have next or two day delivery available for anything. But I do expect companies to honor their promises about what they can fulfill within a certain amount of time, and to have their website/system function appropriately. When they say "order in the next __ minutes and __ seconds for delivery tomorrow," it causes the customer to think "I should place this order right away if I need this tomorrow."

That customer will place the order thinking they are within the time frame only to have it take that exact amount of time to place, and they are left with a delivery time that's later than they expected. That customer does have the option to simply cancel the order once they realize what has happened, but a) not everyone realizes it has shown a different date on the confirmation screen and b) even if they cancel, the experience of ordering has been a misleading one and a waste of their time.

I'm not sure what the root problem is. At best, Amazon's system has difficulty quickly processing orders in a timely manner that are closer to a certain delivery cutoff window. At worst, it's a purposeful means of trying to bump orders into the next fulfillment window when they can plausibly say you placed after the cutoff (even if you placed before the cutoff and their system just stalled in confirming the order until after the cutoff time expired). Either way, it's a very frustrating experience for customers. I hope someone from Amazon might see this complaint and realize that they have an issue with orders like this stalling until the delivery cutoff window has passed, and might try to look into it, because trying to get support to look into this reoccurring issue has been entirely frustrating and fruitless.

So I provided them with the tracking information and was told that I still need to wait for a refund until they can verify the return. When I check my account, it says that they are still waiting for the item to be returned.

Also, I made it very clear that I wanted the refund to my debit card and not a credit because they have mixed that up in the past. Fingers crossed that someday I get the money refunded to my card. It seems that Amazon is not what it used to be.

Amazon is usually right on the money. Hardly ever is there a package damaged. Would recommend to everyone. Of course, you will need to pay for Prime if you want the free shipping, but at $119.95 per year, depending on what you buy, is one of the best deals around, sometimes they use UPS or their own Prime delivery trucks. So hands on to UPS too.

When is a free trial not free? When you sign up for Amazon Prime. On February 14, 2020, I signed up for the “free” trial of Amazon Prime. You were quite the charmer indeed. You had all the right words, but it wasn’t long before the real you showed your face. On Valentine’s Day. A day I entrusted to spend with you. At the time I was so glad that we were introduced. I wanted to get to know you, to spend time with you. Well, so far I do not like that you deceived me into thinking you were something that you were not. I thought I was safe with you. As soon as you realized you had me you took advantage of me and conned me out $1.97 that did not belong to you. No girl wants a Valentine’s date like that, let alone a lifetime partner. There is nothing without trust.

In just the minutes prior while we were still getting acquainted, I signed up for Amazon Prime, with the first month supposedly being free. At no point during this process was I given any indication that I would be charged before the free trial ended. As a matter of fact, I saw a confirmation post immediately after clicking Submit stating that I had not been charged for my free trial. So, imagine my surprise when I checked my bank account and saw that I had been charged $1.97 for the Amazon Prime membership, a charge that I never authorized.

Alarmed, I immediately called the Customer Service line to see what had happened. Dealing with your Customer Service team is an exercise in futility. On my first call I spoke with Daisy for over half an hour. At first Daisy couldn’t even find the charge on my account. When she finally did locate it, she told me that the $1.97 was to validate my debit card. I explained to Daisy that at no point during the sign up process was I made aware that I would be charged and that I hadn’t authorized the $1.97. I also told Daisy since this matter had taken so long to resolve that I expected to be compensated for the time that I had to waste.

Daisy couldn’t have cared less. She made no effort whatsoever to resolve the situation and quoted Amazon policy to me like it was scripture. Completely dissatisfied with Daisy’s answer, I asked to speak with her supervisor and she connected me to Joe. My conversation with Joe was also pointless. Joe reiterated what Daisy had told me about your policy and didn’t even make a token effort to help me. He kept trying to justify the $1.97 charge instead of listening to my concerns. I have a point, and it’s a good one.

If Amazon intends to validate my credit card for a free trial they should state that explicitly, which is the direct opposite of your current policy. Joe made no effort to address my concerns and the only resolution he provided was to offer me a $5.00 credit towards my next purchase which is totally unacceptable. I’m not sure whether or not I want to do business with Amazon again and a $5.00 credit to my account doesn’t inspire me to do anything. I expressed my frustration with the whole situation, but Joe was unmoved. Not making any progress with Joe, I asked to speak with his supervisor and Joe connected me to Lia.

As unhelpful as Joe was, he looked All World compared to Lia. Lia didn’t even pretend to listen to my concerns. She repeatedly tried to talk over me, kept blathering on about the policy, and was rude beyond measure. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, Lia told me that she was the highest customer facing person that I could talk to and said that I could email corporate. If Lia is indeed the highest level of customer service at your company, Amazon is in big trouble.

Before contacting your office, I wanted to give the Customer Service Team one more chance to get it right so I called back and spoke to a supervisor named Julian. While Julian was certainly more helpful than Joe or Lia, he didn’t do nearly enough to make the situation right. Julian offered me a $15.00 credit towards my next purchase. The horrible way your Customer Service Team handled this situation warrants more than a $15.00 credit. To make matters worse, I had to make half a dozen phone calls to get that credit and both Joe and Lia claimed that the best they could offer me was a $5.00 promotional credit.

A company with Amazon’s resources is certainly capable of doing more to make this situation right. It is also capable of hiring better people for their Customer Service Team, which to many customers is the face of your organization. Daisy, Joe, and Lia are a discredit to your company and need to be reprimanded at the very least or better yet they should be fired. Why have people working in your Customer Service Department who clearly have no interest in helping customers?

The way your company handled this situation was wrong from start to finish. If Amazon is going to charge $1.97 when I sign up for a free trial, that should be made very clear upfront. The bank account I used for my Amazon Prime membership is strictly for bills and I only keep enough money in there to cover those bills. An unexpected charge of $1.97 could have caused me to bounce checks and that is not acceptable. What is also not acceptable is for your Customer Service Team to quote policy and think that was sufficient to address my concerns. Furthermore, I was rightfully upset by the situation and after half a dozen phone calls I still haven’t received a satisfactory resolution. $15.00 in no way makes up for my time or for the aggravation. What would make this situation more palatable is a $50 gift card that I could use at my leisure and an assurance that my account will be handled with care going forward.

I asked Amazon to remove my name from all opened accounts. They clearly refused even when I was notifying they are tampering with private funds. They continued to ask for the Account info that has been lost. I asked if they could verify me through an ID or facial recognition. I even pleaded with all due Respect and Professionalism to please remove my name from these accounts that I no longer have access to. It seems to be a loophole in controlling people's Assets. As long as they lose their email and password they can still be tapping your account unaware. I asked if I could give my social number or was there any way to unsubscribe. They refused to give me an opt out answer so with that being said, my Account identity is being compromised by Amazon and so were my funds. I tired to reason with them before leaving a detailed and professional Review!

Here's a Tip Amazon: allow a feature that allows the owner of the account to be identified such as ID or Social number or facial recognition. You have the obligation to identify the owners of the account and if you don't it's because you like when they lose emails and passwords and making unauthorized charges on people's cards. Just because you don't have the option to Identify the owner of that account does not give you the right to make the charge. People like to be recognized who they are, so identify them so people don't get Locked out from unsubscribing.

This is not a time of honesty so someone could purposefully take multiple packages that do not belong to them. For someone with back issues this is a problem. For an older person this is a problem. People are mean and requiring someone to empty a locker of multiple items searching for their own package AND requiring that person to place multiple packages back into locker is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS.
