I searched throughout the Internet for the service that had the best Poinsettia for my father who is spending his first Christmas away from family in a nursing home - price was no object. I ended up spending over $50 (excluding delivery) and he got a grocery store plant. Complaints went unanswered - Do not use this service!!!

I ordered a birthday bouquet for a friend on 12/4, which was supposed to be delivered on 12/5 for her birthday party. I received an email confirmation that the order was delivered. A week goes by and I did not hear from my friend on the delivery which I thought was strange so I called her to get confirmation that she received the flowers. She never received them. I called and spoke with an agent who put out a re-delivery and offered me $20 off for my next order and will also follow up with an email confirmation. I never received the email confirmation for re-delivery nor confirmation that it was delivered. I called again on 12/20 and spoke with a "Sheika" who was very pleasant and helpful and guaranteed me a follow up email for a confirmation of our re-delivery order and a survey, plus a follow up phone call for the next day.
None of that happened and of course no delivery of the birthday bouquet. I called again today 12/23 and was hung up 3 time by their agents! I guess they didn't want to deal with my issue or was just hoping I go away! I called back and spoke to "Suzy" who placed a re-delivery order with another florist per my request. Obviously, the original florist is either out of business or don't give a **. As of today 12/23, my recipient still have not received her birthday bouquet! This is the worst experience of any online orders I've done, and I do 90% of my shopping online. I was contemplating between 1800flowers vs. thebouqs.com and opted to go with 1800flowers hoping it will be on time delivery. Never again. I will try The Bouqs Co next time.

Today I received a "resolve" to my floral arrangement problem. A new arrangement finally arrived at 1 p.m. which was NOT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AS PROMISED. But, the arrangement was beautiful with all the elements of the one on the website. It looks like a "Christmas Floral Tree"... Not a sad little half attempt at an arrangement. The saddest part, is what if that arrangement was sent out to someone else? This year I sent it to myself being too sick to decorate for the holidays and I really wanted something in my little in-law-suite and this is now the perfect item. Thank you 800-flowers... But why oh why... Do we have to get upset to get it right. It should be right the first time. The three images or the sad little floral arrangement, the sad arrangement with the resent arrangement, and then the advertised arrangement. So as you can see somewhere in there, one of these images just didn't fit.

The frustration level is unreal when you see something online and order it. I order almost everything online, Christmas Presents, Birthday, Holiday Gifts, and there are some disappointments, but pretty much the value for items that I order and the price I have learned how to evaluate and make decisions and generally I am pleasantly surprised. Very few disappointments. This year I decided to order a Holiday Flower Tree and I did order the smaller item. My husband and I have an in-law-suite in our daughter's home. So we really didn't want to decorate and we had a little 10" Christmas tree, the kind you plant later. But we (I) wanted something more. When I saw this Holiday Flower Tree I loved the flowers, and greenery (pine) that draped to the bottom like lace with the pine to the table.
I knew it was only 19" tall and that was to be perfect. It reminded me of a Rocky Mountain Christmas, Oregon Christmas, and Smokey Mountain Christmas with the beautiful holiday evergreen. As you can see from the picture nothing even close. It truly looks like something I have seen sitting on a grave site. It is truly a sad little arrangement. The white flowers appear more white in the picture. They are truly a little yellow, dull white flower with yellow centers. Okay... as I said just sad. Thank you. Arrangement arrives, it is 17" from table to the top of the card. The top of the bow is about 15 1/2". The card is on a peak bringing the height to about 17 1/2" tall. There is no PINE, FIR, OR ANY KIND OF EVERGREEN DEPICTING A HOLIDAY TREE. It is some sort of leaf that looks like flattened balls. The arrangement doesn't even cover the top of the plastic bowl it is in and you sit and see 4 1/2" of plastic bowl. SO UGLY, UGLY, UGLY.
The beautiful red roses and carnations are only and ugly dark (deep blood red carnation) and white flowers are replaced with a yellow tinged ivory colored flower. Nothing like the beautiful white flowers depicted in the picture. THE BRIGHT RED MULTI-LOOPED BOW IS REPLACED BY a deep dark red bow that looks to be tied by a 5 or 6 year old. I know my 8 year old granddaughter can make better bows than this. The arrangement looks like one that you would set at a grave site where the plastic bowl would be thrown away after the holiday. Beautiful, fir, pine greenery with white and red Christmas holiday colored flowers with red balls was replaced with a deep grey ball that you have to look for to find in the arrangement. Not pretty. NOT HOLIDAY. So sad. :( SO THIS IS NO HOLIDAY FLORAL TREE.

My last living grandmother passed away on 12/17/2016. The granddaughters decided to put up and purchase a flower arrangement in her favorite color purple from 1-800-Flowers. We decided to go with the Tribute Lavender and White Floor basket arrangement. I placed the order and had delivered the same day on 12/20/2016 because we wanted the flowers to be available during her viewing at the funeral home. We buried my grandmother on 12/21/2016. When I walked in with the family not only was I upset because I had lost a grandmother. But I was enraged due to how the flowers looked.
The flower arrangement looked absolutely nothing like the item online. The flowers were not in any type of neat order and some were either dying or already dead. This was the last time I would ever be able to do anything for my grandmother and it was ruined. After the funeral I immediately called Customer Service and expressed my frustration. I received a full refund for the money I spent. But this is a moment that I will never be able to get back or make right to show my appreciation to my grandmother. Needless to say I will never take my business back to this company.

This is second time they have not delivered the add-on with my flowers order. The customer service representative said the order is out of delivery. When the flower was already delivered and the Balloon was not and was ready to listen to me say that the delivery person has already left the location having delivered the flowers. And when I said this is bad service and need my money back, he said I have return the flowers to "ok". This is worst experience I have ever had with any representative.

I called Customer Service the early afternoon of 20 December. I had previously made a flower order to be delivered to my sister-in-law on 23 December. I explained I just found out she was going out of town the next day and would not return until 2 January 16 and requested the delivery of the flowers be delayed until then. I was told they (1800flowers) had already sent out the information so there was nothing they could do or change. I suggested they call whomever they sent info to and they said they could not. I wished them a Merry Christmas, and said that in the future my business would go to one of the many other flower delivery businesses.

Little do they know... We highly recommend you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are shady and will do anything to get your money!

I have never been treated so shabbily by a vendor in my professional career. I placed a website order as I always do for my friend who lives in DC. The first call I got from 1-800 was a young woman named "Tina." Note to self, outsourcing your call center never works well. "Tina" informed me that the driver could not find the residence. In this day and age of GPS on phones, how is that possible? At that point I told Tina to cancel the order. She said she would call me back.
"Tina" called again to say the driver did find the house but no one was home. Normally the gift is left at the front door or with a neighbor but "Tina" informed me that "they don't do that" which is not true because you did it last year! I said to cancel the order and she said she would get back to me. "Tina's" third call was to offer shipping for the next day at a reduced price. I told her to cancel the order as my friend would be working. She said she would get back to me. "Tina's" fourth call was to offer a further reduction in the price. At that point I lost my temper and asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. Again, who does that these days?
I spoke to "John" who went through the EXACT SAME speech as "Tina." I stopped John about a third of the way through and demanded a refund. He then offered free delivery and 50% off my gift. At that point, I hung up the phone. In looking at my credit card statement, I was still charged for the full amount AND the gift was never delivered! Again, who treats customers like that? I will never use 1-800-Flowers again for anything.

So disappointed in 1-800-Flowers. I placed an order for 12/15 delivery. Receive a call a few hours later stating that the order cannot be delivered due to volume of orders. The option to have them delivered on that date shouldn't have been an option. The rep informed that my order would be priority on 12/16 and that they'd be delivered between 9-11. The order did not arrive by 11, so I called.
The new rep told me that my order was out for delivery and that they would be there by 7 pm. I told her my situation and stated that the previous rep guaranteed a delivery between 9-11. She said that she saw that in my notes, and that she wasn't sure why the other rep would guarantee that. She told me that with the holidays things were a bit backed up. I told her that I didn't care to hear that and that it didn't concern me when I was already delayed a day and guaranteed a new time. I have never been so agitated and stressed out over an order for flowers. You had one job 1-800-Flowers! Don't allow an option you can't fulfill. I will never use 1-800-Flowers services again and I suggest you strongly consider doing the same.

Then she said she would request a redelivery and send me a coupon for $20 off my next order. Ha! Like there will ever be a next order...

I wish I had read the comments on this website before I ordered flowers from 1-800-Flowers.com. I would NEVER have used them (and I plan on never using them again!). I've had the exact same services issues others have mentioned. They failed to deliver a bouquet of birthday flowers yesterday to a very special 95 year old female relative (my second mom) even though I had ordered them 4 days in advance.
I spoke to her at 4:30pm yesterday and she said she hadn't received any flowers. She was glad I called because she thought I had forgotten her birthday..:(. When I first called to find out why she hadn't received them, I couldn't get through the 800# menu (it kept saying it didn't recognize my order number even though I was typing it in off their confirmation - and typed it in 3 times). The on-line tracking system said it was "pending delivery confirmation". I was frustrated but thought the flowers might be delivered before end-of-day. I didn't want to call my relative back and disturb her - or get her hopes up that she would be getting flowers.
Today I got a customer service email (an "update on my delivery") saying my flowers couldn't be delivered. It was a no-reply email signed by Bibi **, the VP of Customer Service saying: "Don't worry, no action is needed from you at this time. We'll continue to attempt delivery until we're able to complete it, and will only reach out to you if we need any additional information. Thanks again for letting us help you express yourself perfectly. We look forward to delivering another smile for you soon!"
Well, as you can imagine, there was no smile on my face. I finally got through today on the 800 customer service number after a hold of 5+ minutes - only to be connected to a call center that I assumed was in India. They told me my relative wasn't home yesterday at 5pm when they tried to deliver the flowers. She was home - and the more likely reason was - they didn't wait for her to hobble to the door on her cane! I asked why no one had called me (my phone # was on the order) and he didn't have an answer. He said they usually send email updates. I told him I received the email update today - a day too late!! - which notified me the flowers had not been delivered - which was the reason I was calling.
I asked how we could prevent the same issue happening today (how could I be assured the flowers would be delivered today??) - and all he kept saying was "You'll get an email confirmation when they are delivered." I asked him, "What happens if the flowers aren't delivered? Will I get that email tomorrow? I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to find out the flowers still hadn't been delivered." I told him I wanted to be sure the flowers were delivered before 5pm and that the florist knew to wait for her to get to the door. He didn't seem to understand what I was asking (even though I said it several times) but finally said he would call the florist. Based on the other comments I've read, now I wonder if she isn't going get dead flowers!
I've learned my lesson. This is the 3rd time in 3 months I've used on-line flower deliveries and I've had problems with each one. They wire out the order and have no control over what happens at the local level. 800 flowers was just the first to not deliver on time. From now on, I'm going to use local florists so I have more say and control over what I order - and I can support local businesses in the community. I called a florist in Hawaii direct (using Yelp recommendations) and had great success. Sorry, 1-800-Flowers - the thought of deleting your emails and using local florists? Now THAT puts a smile on my face!! And based on customer feedback, I'm not alone.

I ordered a beautiful thanksgiving centerpiece for my family in Nevada. What they delivered was a vase of flowers and not the awesome centerpiece. When I called they said they would refund 50% of my purchase back to my credit card and send me a 20% discount certificate. I just called them two weeks later and the person on the phone (sounded outsourced) stated the credit had been placed on my account - it has not and the certificate was e-mailed to me. It has not been done. What should have been a beautiful centerpiece turned out to be a vase of flowers. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!! They couldn't deliver the flowers the day they were supposed to. When they did, they sucked. I'm in Arizona and my girlfriend is in New Jersey and we had our first year anniversary. I had to call a friend back in NJ and tell him to get some flowers and chocolate from CVS and leave them at her house so that she'd have something the day of. Two days later she got the flowers I ordered and they look pretty awful compared to what the picture showed. Would definitely not order from ever again, ever. The only thing I can say good is that they seemed pretty upset and offered to call my girlfriend apologizing for being late. Of course I did not let them do this but I thought that was nice. It would have been real nice if they just did what they were supposed to in the first place though.

Called 1800 Flowers on 11-24 and they told me it was on truck and would be delivered by 7:00PM that same day. 11-25, it still was not delivered and I called 1800 Flowers again and was told the item was no longer available. I was confused and mad because I gave them my cell phone, home phone, and email in case I needed to be contacted. They never once contacted me about any problems. In fact, I have a saved email confirming the delivery on 11-24. The customer service side of this situation is poor at best. I wonder if I didn't contact them about the problem, would I have been charged for something that was never delivered? Seems like a very sketchy way to do business.
I was on the phone for 45 minutes while they tried to convince me to have something delivered on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. The day after was not acceptable when I ordered well in advance and they could have contacted me. At this point, I just wanted a refund. I made several calls and just wanted an explanation as to what happened. Still waiting on an answer... I want a full refund and will never do business with 1800 Flowers again.

They were supposed to deliver them and she actually had to go pick them up from the shipping company because they were sent from a flower shop 2 1/2 hours away. There was no Merce flower shops in the city she lives in.
Called 1-800-Flowers and talk to Ricky in their customer service department pretty much didn't listen to anything I said but asked to send pictures of the bouquet I sent the pictures of the bouquet with the wilted flowers and only seven flowers when you're supposed to be 24. I stated that I would like the bouquet that I ordered delivered to the door with 24 flowers not seven and I want them to be alive not dead or a full refund. I also indicated that they weren't delivered even though I paid the $16 to have them delivered to her door. He indicated that he would talk to his manager and a solution would be provided right away waited four days with no response after three attempts to make contact again and get a solution. I ordered two "Fireside Sympathy Baskets". One from my mother with red roses and one from me with white roses for my Dad's funeral. I know I should have called a local florist but jumping on-line and ordering seemed like one less thing to have to worry about at the time. The flowers arrived on time to the funeral home and the funeral director actually put them behind the casket!! The red roses were fully opened and I was sure would not last that long. There was no baby's breath or filler flowers. The white roses, also not containing any baby's breath or filler were wilted, petals falling and brown on the edges.
Neither "bouquet" was actually in a basket, as described, but in a typical plastic bucket. They neglected to put a ribbon of any kind on either, (although I had an "on-line" chat with customer service at the time of placing my order requesting ribbons that said, "Husband" and "Dad") There was no card or markings of any kind to let me know who the local florist was so that I could express my grievance directly. I have contacted 1-800-flowers customer service dept twice so far by e-mail but have not received any acknowledgment from them. The cost all tolled with delivery was $274.09. I could have run to the local grocery store and done much better!

I called on 10/27/15 in the evening and they said they would follow up and get back to me. They tried to deliver but could not. Today, 10/28/15 they are now saying they delivered the flowers yesterday to a neighbor at the same address. I told them the flowers had not been delivered. They said "ok let me check it out and call you back." This is pathetic and wrong! They have lost my business forever!

Awful. I placed my order on 10/21 to have flowers delivered to my wife's job for our anniversary which is today. Around noon, I hadn't heard from her. Thinking this was odd, I logged in to track my order, only to find there was no tracking information. Even more suspicious, immediately after checking the tracking, I get an email from the company stating that the order had just been sent to the florist. At 12:30 in the afternoon. Not ready to flip out just yet, I wait a couple hours. I finally get a text from my wife and no mention of the flowers. She's just telling me that, due to a slow day, she may go home early. So now I do flip out. I get off the phone with her and call 1-800-FLOWERS. All this person can tell me is that the order went to the local florist and was on the truck. At one point, this person was trying to tell me that the florist had reported it as delivered already. Meanwhile there was still no tracking/delivery information in their system.
I demanded they contact the florist again and ensure that the order make it there before 4 pm and that I was to be informed immediately upon delivery. At 4 pm I called again. This representative then tried to tell me that for businesses they had until 5 pm to make delivery unless an earlier delivery time was specified. I then called her out for essentially telling me that it was my fault that the item was not delivered on time despite there being no option for special requests/delivery times at the website. Only the message that it would be delivered "on or before" the delivery date. She attempted to backpedal stating that the "representative should have specified" that I had the option to schedule an early delivery. I told her once again that I placed my order via the website and nothing indicated that the delivery would be so late. She then offered to call the florist while I held.
When she came back she told me that it had gone out on the truck around 1:30 pm but couldn't tell me when it would arrive. It was at this point I told her to cancel my order and refund my money. That I could stop at a florist and buy flowers on the way home for less money. I was put on hold again. She came back and told me that the order was cancelled and that I should see the refund within the next few days but then tried to push the blame on this imaginary "agent" that I originally spoke to. I told her that her excuses did nothing to improve the situation and hung up. As I was writing this I got a call from their customer service claiming that the order was delivered. I told this person that I hadn't heard from my wife so either the florist was lying or they delivered it to the wrong place. Either way I would not be paying. Awful service. Steer clear. Will never use again. Will post this review in as many places as I can.

I placed an order online for a flower arrangement to be sent to the Church for my very dear friend's funeral. The day of the service I logged onto 800 Flowers website to track my order and confirm they had been delivered, I was shocked to find that they hadn't. I called customer service and within seconds the representative automatically assumed that I was at fault, she said that I had provided an incorrect address which was untrue. She then berated me for not including a delivery time. The online form does not have a space for requested delivery times, I was then reprimanded for not placing my order with a rep!
She called the florist and found that they could not get in contact with the church. I never received a call nor did the person of contact that was given in case of a problem. My flowers were never delivered and I feel absolutely horrible for not having sent anything to offer my sympathy. I will never use 800-Flowers again, they never offered anything to correct their mistake and bad customer service, not even an apology email, nothing!

My staff sent me flowers on Boss's Day (Oct 16) and all excitedly called and texted me throughout the day to see if my gift had arrived. I stalled a trip to make sure to be here for the delivery and when I finally had to leave, had a neighbor on the lookout (with a sign on my door with instructions) for the delivery. My employees called the service number several times and were told that the delivery driver was out making deliveries - with my flowers - yet they never showed up. We were also sent an email confirmation that the flowers had actually BEEN delivered. But then when we tried to determine where they had been delivered, we were told that was a mistake.
TODAY - MONDAY the 19TH - the flowers are still not delivered. I asked if I could just go pick them up and was told that they were not allowed to give out that type of information. They wanted to know how long I could stay home to wait for the flowers and that it may be 7 pm tonight when they arrived. TOTALLY NOT acceptable. This is the worst service ever and people should refrain from using them at all costs. Just google a reputable flower shop in the town you need flowers to be delivered in... I ordered a $90 flower arrangement for my daughter that passed away. It was a beautiful picture of white and purple flowers, a large basket full of flowers. The title even said "White and Lavender Flowers." I really wanted purple flowers to remember my daughter Violet. The flowers were delivered, and I was absolutely horrified at how terrible they were. It was a basket with 20% of the flowers the picture had shown, and they were pink and white. I wouldn't have paid $20 for the arrangement, much less $90. And it already such a horrible day emotionally, and then I just felt like a horrible mother when I couldn't even get decent flowers for my poor lost daughter.
I called the next day and explained. They said they would redeliver new ones that day. The new ones NEVER came. I called again that evening. They said they were on the truck. Never came. They said they had been delivered, but they hadn't. I was home all day and they never came. So I called and asked for a refund. They said they would give it to me and I offered to send pictures. They never refunded it. I called again 2 weeks later and they said they would process a refund. Still waiting.... meanwhile they have called several times to ask if I got flowers on that day. So they keep reminding me of my loss of my daughter. I would NEVER, EVER use this company again. They have just been the most inconsiderate company I have ever dealt with.

On the late afternoon of 10/17/15 they still were not delivered and I called and spoke to a supervisor who stated that they had spoken to a florist in the morning who guaranteed delivery but that she would call me back at close of business local time to confirm.
Supervisor did not call back but another customer service agent called and said they were sorry but the flowers were not delivered and would not be delivered until Monday 10/19/15. I was willing to be flexible and then asked if they could deliver it the following morning. Once again, no they could not and asked for a home address to send them to instead.
Why would I want you to send flowers to a home address days after a funeral? That makes absolutely no sense. I requested a full refund and now my co-worker will not be getting any kind of condolences from me at the funeral. Thank you 1-800-Flowers.com for absolutely nothing. A piece of advice, don't offer same-day delivery when you can't even deliver within three days. Had an extremely difficult time in trying to get help at 1-800-Flowers because of a mistake I made when ordering. When you order from 1-800-Flowers that you made damn certain that you change the AUTOMATICALLY POPULATED BILLING INFORMATION. I did not, although I used my email address and my credit card (with MY name on it - not my wife's) , seems that doesn't matter. Due to the fact that the Billing info was in my wife's name, they were unwilling to talk to me, let alone help me. After getting a tad upset, I was put on a 5 minute hold. When Brenda returned she lectured me regarding that since the Billing info (which was AUTOMATICALLY POPULATED) that she didn't really have to help me! Really?
Brenda at 1-800-Flowers finally offered me a 50% refund and a 20% future discount!?!? When I pressed for an 100% refund, Brenda told me that was not possible! 50% refund was the best she could do. I requested to speak to her Supervisor (but you know what that's like) and again put on hold for 7 minutes, then Brenda came back on the line to tell me that ALL Supervisors were busy and one would return my that day. Delivered flowers for my birthday a few days ago and I was at work so the flowers were left outside in hot Florida sun, for who knows how long - I came home close to midnight and they stop deliveries at 5 pm. The vase had been broken and flowers spread on the porch. I called them and was told that the policy was to leave deliveries when the customer is not at home. That alone is insane, but okay, they offered to re-deliver the arrangement and I spent 20 minutes on the phone setting that up for this morning. She assured me that the driver would be there by 11:30 am. I called again this morning and was assured the same thing.
As 11:30 came and went, I called back and spoke to yet another one of their agents who can't speak coherent English, and she told me that they cannot guarantee a time for delivery. Seriously??? I had to leave for work, and will not be home during the day all week, so I asked her if I could pick up the flowers myself. So she tells me that she cannot disclose the address or name of the florist, but that she would be happy to arrange the pickup. I don't know how it even made sense in her head, but she seemed to have trouble understanding that I wanted to know where the florist was located PRIOR to agreeing to pick up the flowers.
This conversation ended with me telling her to issue a refund to the original purchaser, and she told me that they can only do that if that person requests it. So I had to let them know that their birthday flowers were vandalized, which I really did not want to do. It was upsetting enough coming home to that. Then I got a message during the day while at work telling me that the flowers were delivered, and asking if I had received them. Did I mention that I told these people that I would be at work all day and not to leave any more flowers on my porch? It was a lovely gesture, but has created more aggravation for me than it was worth. They are in some third world country and do not speak coherent English, and they obviously do not know what they are doing or even bothering to listen to the customer's requests.

I recently bought flowers on my wife's birthday (order number ** - Expressions of Pink) and was extremely disappointed with what she received. The flowers were nowhere close to what was displayed on the website. See attached pictures of what was published and what we received. I reported this to their Customer Service and after a couple emails, Jim McCann, the founder responded back offering me a $20 "Savings Pass" for this. Am I stupid to go back to the store and spend more money to avail the $20 discount? What about the disappointment of receiving the wrong product in the first place? Try this gimmick with someone else! This is a straightforward case of wrong/defective product that should be refunded immediately.

They said for me to call back for an update. 9pm and still no flowers and they have no reason why. They said they would deliver the flowers tomorrow and call the receiver to say it wasn't my fault that I really wanted to flowers to arrive on her birthday. I couldn't believe they said this as if I would want them calling my friend. They ruined the night. I will never order from them again and hope people read this before they decide to place an order with them. I wish I would have looked up reviews on them before I placed my order.

I placed an order early in the morning (before 9am) for two flower arrangements for both my wife and mother-in-law just to do something nice. I paid the extra money for same day delivery and there were no errors in the delivery address. (Both were same address.) I was informed that they would be delivered between 9am and 7pm. I had told my wife and mother-in-law to stay home because I was expecting something to be delivered. When I got home at 8:45pm the arrangements had still not been delivered. When I called customer service they stated that the florist attempted to deliver them and could not which I knew was crap because both of them were home all day and by this time the florist was closed.
I requested they cancel the order and give me a full refund and she (Honey) tried to convince me to not cancel my order by offering me partial refunds and I had to tell her 5-6 times before she said OK then I was put on hold for 5mins. When Honey finally returned she told me that I would get my money refunded ($145.35) and it would be back in my account in 24-48hrs which I hope happens and she said that I would receive a $20 discount per order arrangement which I will not be using them. I have no desire to pay for a product and service that I do not get and then be fed a load of B.S. as to why they could not do what they said and I paid them to do.

It was the most frustrating experience I have ever had trying to place an order over the phone. I would have placed it online however, their prices and delivery dates were all off. Terrible!!!

I had to get funeral flowers for a wake for the next day in the afternoon. They state they have "same day flowers and service". They have a special section of same days flowers available. I was ordering flowers on my account for two other relatives along with myself. It was a nightmare. I was on the phone with a polite young man and ordered the first arrangement in the colors that were told to me by one of my relatives. He said it would be there the next day, no problem, but it took him soooo long to get my information.
I was on the phone over 15 minutes with the first order and 2 more to go, then I get cut off and I had to call again.. A young woman answered, very polite but told me the flower arrangements were not available for the same day delivery. I said that they were in the section that said same day flowers available and put in the area code of the funeral home for availability. She said, "Sorry but they are not available. Would you like a plant instead?" I said, "NO, I am ordering for other people". She said, "Can it be delivered the day after Friday?" to which I responded, "NO, it is the day of the wake on Friday and they must be there." She said, "The vendors have all reached their quota for the day and no flowers are available or can be delivered to that zip code, would you like to choose another ANOTHER ZIP code to send it to instead?" Another zip code? This is a deceased relative that is in a certain funeral home!
She then said, "Well can we send it to another zip code?" "NO! It must be sent to the funeral home!!" Oh man!!! She could not find any flowers and kept looking but I told her I am trying someplace else, which I did and they were quick, had loads of flowers, assured me they would be at the funeral home hours before the wake and even gave me a 20% discount! I was on the phone with 1-800 Flowers for about 45 minutes, they seemed clueless, polite but clueless. I will never, ever order from them!

Hours went by while my friend slept and when she awoke at 3, still no flowers. I then called back and was told they were "on the truck heading over now". Two hours later, still no flowers. When I then called yet again, I was told the same thing I was at 10:30, in which case I lost it because told him I had given them specific instructions 6 hours earlier. This is a follow up to my previous review. The company did respond to my comments and the flowers did show up. UPS left them on the back door step without notifying anyone that they were there. If I had not contacted my cousin inquiring about the flowers she would not have found them outside. So I'm laying the blame here with UPS. I have seen pictures of the flowers and they are nice and my cousin is happy. But if I want something delivered early from 1-800-Flowers I will request the delivery for the day before.

I ordered a flower arrangement on August 1st for my cousin's birthday on August 4th. I got a confirmation of my order the same day. Then on August 3rd I get an email advising me that my item has shipped via UPS and that I can track the package. According to the web tracker for UPS the flowers arrived in Buffalo at 3:20 am and were out for deliver at 4:24 am. It is now 4:30 pm and the flowers are nowhere in sight. I live-chatted with someone at UPS and they said the flowers were still on the truck and could be delivered as late as 7:00 pm. I wanted them to arrive early enough so she could enjoy them on her birthday... Now I'm just hoping they show up at all. 1-800-Flowers blows and should be shut down. Finally after numerous phone calls to customer service the flowers arrived. They looked nothing like the arrangement displayed online and the names on the card were all misspelled. After calling customer service again she was told that she would receive a full refund. The next day 1-800-Flowers called the hospital and said they were coming to take the flowers back! Do not contact me with any promotional materials in the future. Do not send me any complimentary anything. Your company should be ashamed of themselves. The bouquet was nothing like it was represented as online. And now you are giving me trouble with this re-delivery which I did not solicit, stipulating that there needed to be an exchange. When I told them this was unacceptable - they said the only recourse was to go and pick up the flowers. I told them, "Fine - as long as I get a full refund I will just order from someone else so that she has fresh flowers when she returns." Also this will hopefully cost them money to retrieve the flowers. I spent more than a half an hour searching through flower arrangements for my wife's birthday. When I found the one that I knew had the "WOW" Factor, I ordered it in the largest size possible confident that she was going to love it. What she received was about half of the size and completely in the wrong colors of flowers and looked cheap like something you would buy at the grocery store. I emailed their customer service department and let them know how completely dissatisfied I was. I told them I wanted a full refund. Instead they offered to resend the correct flowers the next day when it was no longer her birthday. When I disagreed with that, they offer to give me back 14.99 for their service charge, on an arrangement that was well over $100.
Again I asked for a refund. Their response was to offer me half of my money back. Their reasoning was she received some flowers so therefore I should have to pay at least half. By that reasoning they could've sent her a pile of weeds and it would still have been my obligation to pay. It did not matter to them that she did not receive anything close to what I ordered. So the end result is I got back half of my money and they were going to resend her supposedly the correct flowers the next day. In all honesty they could have sent her flowers every day for the next week and it would not matter to me as I wanted her birthday to be special and she did not get what I paid for. This company refused to give me back my money in full. I would not do business with them again!

1-800-Flowers San Antonio is, BY FAR, the worst company I have ever had to experience dealing with. I just got off the phone with the manager after having to literally scream over him to demand my money back. UNPROFESSIONAL CON ARTISTS would be the perfect description for them. I ordered a beautiful sunflower arrangement for a girlfriend who lives in SA last Saturday due to the loss of her Grandfather. The flowers were supposed to deliver the same day. Of course, they did not. After emailing them several times throughout the weekend and on Monday asking for the status and why there was a hold up, ** finally emails me back with, "We attempted delivery - rec was not available - we will try again today." and that was it. The flowers were then delivered and left on my friend's doorstep for several hours in the beating-hot sun.
Once my friend got home to them, they were wilted and nearly dead. So, I emailed ** back with the photo of the dead flowers demanding a new arrangement or a full refund. He responded with, "what is the problem? The sunflowers are just opening up - so that is why they look "ruffled". Um, ARE YOU KIDDING? No. Completely unacceptable. I'm not an idiot and neither is my friend; I know wilting dead flowers when I see them...? I was insulted at this point. So, I call them and talk to a nice young lady over the phone, asking her if I can either have a new arrangement sent out or my full refund. She informs me that a replacement arrangement has already been scheduled to be sent out.
Although this is news to me since NO ONE COMMUNICATED THIS TO ME, I was somewhat relieved that they were "taking care of" the problem. I asked her to please make sure that the driver leaves them in the front office if the recipient is not home. She told me that will not be a problem and she will let her driver know. She said that her driver is scheduled to leave at 3 pm. I'm thinking, "Great! Plenty of time for them to deliver her new arrangement to the front office in case she is not home!" Did that happen? NOPE.
My friend then calls me laughing, while calling this company a joke, and tells me that they left a handwritten note on her door asking her to call a number in order to receive her new arrangement. WOW. I am in total shock at this point, and very disgusted by this company. So I call them AGAIN, leaving a voicemail that a full refund needs to be issued back to me immediately. Of course, no one calls me back to handle the issue. So, I call this morning and let them know what had happened, how unprofessional it was, and that I would like a refund. After the customer service rep speaks to his manager, he tells me I cannot be issued a full refund due to them having to deliver the flowers on three different tries. So I asked to speak with the manager.
By this point, I was very frustrated and heated, yet hoping that the manager would be understanding of my warranted frustrations and would handle the problem properly. NOPE! Instead, he began arguing with me that it was not their fault that the recipient was not home. It was not their fault that the first arrangement was left in the heat to die. It was not their fault that they had to try to deliver it three times. And that they absolutely cannot give me a full refund due to the fact that they HAD TO make three delivery runs, even though NO ONE contacted me OR the recipient to let either of us know that they were trying to deliver the flowers. I explained to him that if someone would have called me to let me know that she was not home, that would have been better than leaving an unprofessional sloppy note on her door asking her to call herself if she wanted the new arrangement.
At this point, I'm basically laughing in this guy's face. So after several minutes of having the manager yell at me that this is not their problem or responsibility that they have admirably FAILED at providing their one and only simple service, he then tells me I can get a 50% refund, but that he doesn't know which credit card I used to purchase the flowers. So I go to look at my confirmation email and, OF COURSE!, it doesn't say it on there, either. So I had to give him just any card so that I could get my mere 50% refund back, but dammit to hell if they refunded me for the $30 delivery fees. Since, you know, it wasn't their fault that the recipient wasn't home. Or that they left them in the heat for several hours to die.
So basically, in order to have successful service from 1-800-Flowers San Antonio, please make sure that your recipient is home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or they will either receive dead flowers, no flowers at all, or a sloppy, hand-written note on their door asking them to call a number if they want the flowers. NOTE: 1-800-Flowers San Antonio is an independently operated company; not affiliated with 1-800-Flowers, Inc. Unprofessional, sloppy, and disgusting. Do not give this company your money. Thurs. at 4:40 pm I receive a call from 1-800-Flowers that they can no longer fulfill the order, because the local florist is too far away. The sales guy then proceeded to tell me that he could find another florist that would deliver, but we would need to change the order to something comparable. He put me on hold for a few minutes to find another florist. In the meantime, am have googled local florists in the area of the funeral. There are quite a few, and had discovered that they close at 5pm.
4:45 the reps returns on the phone and he offered me white flowers in a vase for $54. Mind you, the spray that I had ordered was $180; this doesn't seem like an even swap to me!!! He then offered to have the flowers delivered to the deceased person's home. Umm, that person is no longer be there to receive them, and I asked to have them delivered for the funeral. I asked him whether or not he could properly deliver on my order for the funeral and he put me on hold again. 4:50 I hung up the phone with 10 minutes to spare. I made a call to the closest florist to the funeral home and they fulfilled my order with no issues. I then called 1-800-Flowers back to make sure I was issued a full refund.
Just a few questions: Considering that 1-800-Flowers promotes on their website that they have Funeral/Sympathy Advisors, you would think they might be a bit more understanding when you place an order and find out at the end of a business day that they can't fulfill your order? What was the real issue in fulfilling the order? I had no problem picking up the phone to a local florist and placing an order in 5 minutes that was identical to the one I was trying to have delivered from 1 800 Flowers. If the florist could deliver a $54 vase of flowers, why couldn't they deliver the spray? I thought it was too far??? Why bother with the "ease" of 1-800-Flowers when I google the local florist and have everything taken care of in less than 5 minutes?

I placed an order to be delivered the day before Father's Day and the order was never delivered. The rep at 1800flowers claimed the vendor who accepted the order didn't deliver on weekends and so my father never received his gift. Why would 1800flowers give the order to a vendor who does not deliver on the required date? I am infuriated that I was never informed of the problem. Only after speaking with my father on Father's Day did I learn he never received the gift.
How awful! Could they not inform me that this order would not be fulfilled so that I could make other arrangements in time? If they knew on Friday there was a problem, they should have contacted me to say the delivery can't be made on Saturday. Instead, I found out from my father there was no delivery on Saturday or Sunday! I had to call 1800flowers to ask what was wrong -- they never called me. Absolutely unacceptable. You don't take money for services you can't fulfill.

I have had the most disgusting, ridiculous unethical experience with this company. I ordered flowers on Mother's Day for my mom. I placed the order with a gift card I received from my company and my debit card. The flowers died two days after delivery. Mom called and complained and was told I'd receive half the credit back. I did receive half the credit back to my debit card. I called to ask why the difference wasn't provided and was told because a gift card wasn't a true form of purchase I couldn't receive that back. Of course I escalated. The reps were so rude and disrespectful to me. After spending (at that time) over two hours explaining to them how their negligence was not my fault they agreed to credit the remaining half to my debit card.
Working in customer service I knew that the response I got from the rep was not normal; a credit can only be provided back in the initial form of purchase. So I contacted the corporate office and spoke to **. He advised he would provide a $30 savings pass and apologized about the issue. He promised me he would send an email on confirmation of the pass. Didn't get it. Called customer service back and they said there was a system issue I should receive the email within a few days. No email. This prompted me to call corporate again. I spoke to ** that day who apologized numerous times and advised she saw the $30 savings pass on my account and would send an additional $50 gift card for the inconvenience. She did send the gift card email but no savings pass. At this point I'm so upset that I've been promised things I haven't received I gave myself some time to calm down.
I decided to use the gift card to send mom a birthday gift and plan to make another purchase for dad for Father's Day. I called on Thursday, June 18, 2015 and spoke to ** in customer service. She advised me that I was wrong. I had not been issued a $30 savings pass but been issued two gift cards for $50 each one on May 14 and the second on May 21. She only saw one pin number to activate the gift card and that was for the second one. We placed the orders over the phone that night and she advised because the first card did not show a PIN number issued she would have to contact the loyalty department on Friday, June 19, 2015. She promised she would email me the confirmation numbers at midnight once they provided that information for her. I have not received confirmation. I called customer service two hours ago to no avail.
I attend school in the day time (full time student) and work full time at night. I don't have ANY spare time on hand to sit and speak to these reps about their lack of knowledge or negligence. I am now holding and have been on the phone with customer service for two hours. They are reviewing the call from last night. They state that I've only been provided a $30 credit, and they have no knowledge of an additional $50 gift card. The issue here is that this could have been resolved six weeks ago when I placed my initial order if one rep would have assumed responsibility, followed up and apologized. I have spoken to more than 12 reps since this started. I have spent a total of four hours on the phone with them over the past 72 hours for a total of an entire eight hours. That's an entire work shift to no resolve.
Retail is easy. People are spending their hard earned money with you not to be misinformed about deliveries, not to be upset about the quality of product they receive, not to be badgered and lied to about services that will be provided, not to waste additional time coaching you all about your negligence knowledge of the business or lack thereof. True customer service includes assuming responsibility of an issue. Especially if you're at fault. Apologizing to your customer. Especially when you are wrong. Rectifying the situation.
I choose to do business with you all because I have in the past with ease, as well as friends and family that I know and no one has EVER received the lack of service that I have. They will be warned about this situation in hopes that they'll choose the local florist who's been in business for years and has a wonderful relationship with the community over this ridiculous substitute. That care about their clients and what they experience. That know that the service they provide can give comfort for their clients.
I suggest that you all research the definition of what true customer service is. The convenience of doing business with you all does not and will never triumph the requirement of being treated fairly with integrity and honesty. Also, if your grower wouldn't have sent my mother expired flowers we would have never had this problem. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Some of these complaints here are horrendous. If you offer products for funeral services have some compassion and sympathy and make sure you deliver in a prompt and accurate manner. If you're providing floral service for a guy who wants to congratulate his wife meet your obligations. Make your deliveries on time and with quality and if you cannot meet this obligation don't make that promise.
I have just completed the call with the customer service representative and my orders were processed. I pray that they are delivered on time with no issues. However, I will not be doing any business with you. I hope you're never the last resort… that I have a number of options when I'm choosing how I'd like to honor my loved ones. I never in my life want to have to experience anything like this. I pray everyday that I lead by example and provide exceptional service to the clients I speak to daily. Even if I don't on my very worst day I'm not even close to 1/100 of the foolishness I've experienced today, last night, yesterday and over the past six weeks with your company. Afraid to do business with you.

I ordered a cookie basket and paid extra for delivery in 2 days on my daughter's birthday to her place of work. When I realized the product had not been delivered on the promised day, I called customer service. The CSR expressed no concern or urgency about the situation and told me the UPS ticket showed "Printed" and gave me the tracking number. When I went on UPS, I realized this meant the product had not even left the building after two days. My daughter was not going to be at work the next day (a Friday) so she was not going to get her present until the following Monday - 4 days late. At that point, I patiently wrote a complaint on their website. The following day, I received an automated status email saying my gift had been delivered on time - giving the previous day's date.
Of course that was not correct. I then wrote another complaint on their website asking for a refund due to their poor service and the amount of my time they wasted.. This was 5 days ago and I have received no response. I recommend that this supplier not be used by any readers. This company - under the umbrella of 1-800 Flowers is supposed to be in the business of getting gifts to loved ones on time. Paying extra for service in 1 or two days is expected but that is for the peace of mind that extra effort is being made to be sure it will get there on a birthday, anniversary, etc. If that promise is not met, I would expect a very strong effort to apologize and make up for it.

Looks nothing like the photo. Paid $400 for 100 roses for my dying grandmother. In which I had to argue with the delivery guy to bring to the correct house because he left the roses with some unknown neighbor! On top of that my grandmother received roses with a bunch of little white filler flowers that her caretaker had to remove due to her allergies. The flowers do not look elegant. I paid for what I thought was an artistic simply beautiful round arrangement of just roses without the leaves, however when delivered it was not something that was worth $400. A nightmare of a service! And the quality is terribly disappointing!

I ordered flowers for my mother in a hospital at 1:05 CST yesterday afternoon. At 1:10 I called them to say that I never saw a place to add the room number on their website to which the person I was speaking with replied that I never actually submitted the order therefore he could not find it to add the room number. Then 5 minutes later someone else from 1-800-flowers called me to state that the delivery driver had left for the day and wanted to know if they could deliver the next day. I stated that my mother would only be in overnight and that the driver left early so they should have found someone else should deliver the arrangement.
The person from 1-800-flowers said that he would look for another store to deliver. He ended up calling me 3 times over the following hour with the same excuse that each driver of every florist he checked with had left and they wanted to deliver the next day. I told him every time "she is leaving in the morning, please find someone who can deliver to the hospital today." Each time he responded with "I'll look for another florist and call you back." At 3:30 I ended up calling 1-800-flowers again to see if the flowers ever made it to my mother. They had not and the employee said that he could just refund my credit card. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was only one and she was out to lunch.
I called back around 4 and immediately asked to speak to a manager. A woman answered and proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do about the flowers or the customer service. I confirmed that I placed the order in plenty time and that technically, the driver should NOT have left EARLY without my mother's flowers. On top of that, she was condescending and rude when I asked why my credit card had not been credited for the flowers yet. Her response: "oh, don't you worry lady, you'll get your money". When you are ordering any flowers, especially sympathy flowers, they should do all they can to get the arrangement to its destination in a timely manner. They most certainly should not give up and push it to the side for the next day. Extremely poor customer service. Not only will I not use them again, I will tell everyone I know not to use them.

To make a long story short, my mom and I needed to place an order for a funeral service. We placed 3 orders with 1800Flowers. There were multiple issues with them: 1st, every single card had a SPELLING MISTAKE in it., and they were mistakes such as "forgetten", which not even a word! 2nd, the flowers were promised to be delivered at a certain time, since it was a funeral service, the whole time the operators at 1800flowers had no idea if my order had even left the florist. I was on hold for 45 minutes, at my work phone. Ended up missing the service, because I was on hold forever and I was not about to show up late to a service. 3rd, the flowers that were eventually delivered, LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES. They put cheap looking flowers in the sets like Daisies rather than more expensive looking Chrysanthemums. They must think their customers are either stupid or blind, because the difference was obvious.
You can see in the pictures, one is what it was supposed to be, and the other is what was actually delivered. They pretty much made a bad day, even worse! Do not do business with them!!! I personally do not understand how they have stayed in business this long, if this is how they choose to conduct it... oh wait.. it was thanks to lies!

About 10 years ago, I used their service a lot and was very satisfied. Then I stopped -- flowers weren't delivered on time, there were problems with ordering on their website, especially when overseas (I live in Germany). Thought I'd give them a try again after all these years. Boy, what a mistake! After unsuccessfully trying to place two orders on their website on 3 different browsers and two chats with (admittedly very professional and friendly) customer service reps, I finally placed the orders with one of the reps via chat. I received email confirmations for both of my orders, to be delivered on May 26th (both to be delivered in the US, by the way). One order got there fine. But the other one never arrived, no delivery confirmation, either.
After an expensive long-distance call to their US customer service (they don't offer a service number for Germany), I was told hadn't been delivered but it would be sent out the next day (which would've been May 27th). I additionally sent an email, just to be sure. I got a reply, telling me I'd get a $20 certificate (big deal, my order was $100) and this: "To know how to proceed with this order, kindly call us at 800-486-1141." Excuse me? I just told you to deliver them ASAP! And I live in Germany! I will not call you again long-distance. So after writing that, I get this: They "have scheduled a redelivery on May 28, 2015, at no additional cost to you." No additional cost to me? Why the hell should there be? They screwed the order up. That's just rude. This is just the worst customer service ever. I am never ordering with them again and neither should you.

They were supposed to be delivered on 5/9/15 I had to call to find out where they were I was told they were put on flex delivery. Upon receiving the flowers they were not what I paid for instead of receiving the "Flowers of Showers" that came in a cute watering can she received flowers in what looked like a basic soup can.
I contacted 1-800-flowers and was told I can receive $20 in gift certificates but they had to be spent at 1-800-flowers. I was told per their policy I had to notify them within 7 days however I was NOT notified when my order was changed nor was I NOTIFIED when my order was put on flex delivery by them without notification and my order was delivered a day later. I had to make several calls to request a refund for not doing their job and no explanation as to why nobody ever delivered. I was told they would update me; they never did.
The call center must not be in this country for they do not understand English. They side-stepped my questions with generic answers, and asked if the recipient would be home from 8 AM - 7 PM the next day, as if they think an anniversary is every day and didn't care that it was already ruined. Which brings me to last rant:
We already waited in hopes they would bring the arrangement. They don't even attempt to give you a time frame. When you call, they just say you have to stay in your home for 11 hours!!! I'm sorry, but they should be able to narrow it down at least on the delivery date, and that window of time is way too long to try to keep someone home without telling them about a surprise. Then they had the audacity to request us to stay home an additional day to wait another 11 hours?!
There is no point to do business with them. You pay and wait for nothing. You do not get updates or a time frame outside of the 11 hours. Reps avoid issues, and just say the local florist is closed (which should give them a clue that the arrangement will not be delivered.)

She told me the flowers had already been delivered and signed for. I found it strange because I had just gotten off the phone with my wife. My wife and daughter confirmed that NO flowers were received. I sent my daughter down to the concierge the building employs, the concierge confirmed that NO flowers were delivered. I called back 800 Flowers and they told me that they could not give me the florist's name or number and that the florist had closed for the day.
With the representative on the phone, I called my daughter, had her place her phone on speaker so the representative could hear the conversation. She went back down to the concierge and again inquired if any flowers had been delivered. The concierge stated the ONLY flowers delivered were yesterday for a different apartment. I asked if there was another florist that could deliver flowers today, she said no. I asked for my money back, she stated she could not do it because the flowers could still be delivered. I was confused. I thought she stated they were signed for already. I asked for a copy of the signed receipt (FEDEX has), she could not do. I asked for my order number, I could not get that. I stopped over on Mother's Day to see flowers that were already wilted and brown. I called the following morning and was assured that a new bouquet would be delivered that afternoon.... nothing. I called again on Tuesday and was told that the previous "customer service rep" did not actually process the order and that it would be delivered by the following day, Wednesday May 13. I even received an email stating the same.
As of Thursday evening my mother in law STILL had not received her replacement. I called 1800Flowers for a 3rd time and was told they could send it out the next day OR they could give me 50% credit. UMMMM we spent nearly $90 on flowers that died the next day. I told her they need to send a replacement and they assured me they would arrive today, May 15th and that the rep would call me to confirm. We will see but I am not holding my breath. I will NOT be using 1800Flowers again... EVER!

After my fourth time placing orders with this company, having to complain they either didn't arrive or arrived dead, I've decided to write a review hoping that someone reads this and saves themselves the hassle. I only ordered from them multiple times because they kept giving me $20 gift cards for my hassle, but at this point, I have $60 in gift cards that I'm throwing away since they are useless. I'm convinced they will never get an order correct and am tired of talking to horrible customer service that can't understand you or speaks over you. This might be the worse company on this planet.

I ordered 2 bouquets for my mother and mother in law for Mother's day. I ordered them the Wednesday before they were guaranteed next day delivery. They NEVER were delivered. So I called next day. They messed up the order then after being on hold for 40 minutes the conclusion was promise of them both being delivered the following day. No flowers again. I called again, another 45 min wait, another hour on phone just to be told "I can see you have contacted us... our apologies..." then they go to tell me the bouquet I already paid for both. Mind you but one was out of stock not available.... which I chose for a special reason. Now I'm crying more upset. They said sorry. Said will upgrade to a different bouquet and the rest the same song and dance.
Saturday goes by NOTHING. NOW MOTHER'S DAY NOTHING. I called, waited 45 minutes AGAIN on hold just to get hung up on. So I waited, called Monday..... After all this I was DONE. We were done with the lies, false promises, being hung up on and still NO FLOWERS. SO to all that they said "we will refund money back on your card." Only got 1/2 back and guess what my mothers NEVER GOT THEIR FLOWERS. I live in a different state from both so it was important to me and all I can say is it was my first time ordering flowers and will be my LAST.

I ordered an arrangement to be delivered on the 16th. I called Monday and asked if they could change the delivery date to the 13th since the order hadn't been shipped and they clearly state this is possible on their website. The first rep I spoke with said it wasn't possible and kept telling me "This is how it's going to be." After listening to this for 10 minutes I asked for a supervisor only to be told, "He said he's too busy." Later that day I called once again, to confirm the delivery date, that lady said the first rep HAD changed it to the 13th.
When the flowers didn't show up yesterday I called and spoke to a supervisor who tried to convince me that the flowers weren't supposed to be delivered until Saturday until I told her about an email I had gotten then her tone got very defensive. I told her I expected my order to be delivered the next day to which she hung up on me. Very poor customer service and I will never use them NOR recommend them to ANYONE!!!

I order flowers from them for Mother's Day on 5/7 with a delivery date of 5/10. They claim a delivery was made on 5/10 @ 7:20 pm. I never got it! So I called them up and spoke to someone who assured me they'd redeliver it for me next day. Well I waited and waited all day on my porch waiting for this delivery. Never showed! So again got on the phone with 1800-Flowers and was told they would have to check into the matter of why it wasn't delivered the second time. Lucky for me I have cameras on my house and did some searching and found there was no first delivery nor a second or a third attempt made.
So today 5 days later still no flowers! I called back demanding a refund and they were trying so hard to hold on to my $87, offering a $20 gift card towards another purchase?? Really?? But once I became very agitated and demanded to speak to a manager the rep changed her tune and began to process the refund. The lesson here... stay away from these people. It would seem that their florists at store retail level are dishonest and/or incompetent and 1800-Flowers customer service reps tell lies to cover up their incompetence!!! And play a good game of passing the buck!

Flowers 6 days late and still counting. No offer on money back. So...... talk to your bank and report a "charge in dispute". Your bank will investigate. As long as you did everything you can on your end. Explain that you have called, and did not receive service you paid for. You're welcome guys.

The notes (according to her) mentioned that the arrangement was delivered!
I got in touch with the florist that delivered the flowers to my Mom and was told by them that what they sent was what they had received in the description from 1-800-Flowers. I called 1800Flowers again and this time was told that the flowers would be redelivered on 5/16 (as if a week later is acceptable) and that I will receive a 50% refund in 3-5 days. I honestly will not to deal with them ever again!

On May 9, 2015, I placed an order on 1-800-Flowers.com to have flowers delivered to my mother the next day, May 10, 2015, for Mother's Day. I even paid the extra shipping and handling for the flowers to be delivered the next day (Sunday, May 10th - Mother's Day). When the flowers did not show up on Mother's Day by 7 pm (as was promised by 1-800-Flowers) I called customer service to see what was happening and repeatedly got a recording telling me they were too busy to answer my call. I finally got through and spoke to a man who identified himself as ** who had no idea where my flowers were and said he couldn't contact the florist (What? 1-800-Flowers can't even contact their own florists on Mother's Day? Sounds fishy to me...) and offered me refund of my shipping and handling and promised me that the flowers would be delivered the next day: Monday, May 11th.
I took him at his word and agreed that that would be okay. Well, the next day, the flowers were not delivered. I called customer service a few times that day and was told over and over again that they did not know where my flowers were and they would be delivered now the next day, Tuesday May 12th. I was offered a partial refund. When the flowers were not delivered on Tuesday, I called again. Still customer service had absolutely no idea what was going on. I was lied to repeatedly. I demanded a full refund (which they issued) and was assured that even with the full refund, they would still deliver the flowers the next day, Wednesday May 13th. I was told by TWO different customer service agents that my flowers would be delivered May 13th.
Imagine my surprise, when they still were not delivered on Wednesday. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and each of the three times I asked to speak to supervisor, I was told they either were not there, I was hung up on, or I was put on hold indefinitely. I finally had my husband call because I was so upset that I knew I wouldn't be able to have a conversation with 1-800-Flowers without getting really upset. When my husband talked to them, he was told that my flowers were never going to be delivered, end of story. This company completely ruined Mother's Day for me, caused me quite a bit of frustration and pain, and lied to me repeatedly. I think there must be a bigger issue than just terrible customer service. There is something not right going on with this company. They lack any kind of integrity.
I want the original flowers that I ordered delivered to my mother THIS WEEK at no cost to me as I was promised TWICE by customer service agents. Anything less than this settlement and I will take further action. And I am not bluffing. And no, I don't want your crappy $20 savings pass. Thanks.

Still… was calling on Monday to customer service. ** was the guy who got my call. First, he at least 10 times said "SO SORRY, we are going to fix it". And he did!!! I understand it was big mess around Mother's day for company. I got another delivery, at this time right size. So happy, thank you!!! I am going to be regular customer after this no matter what. Mistakes happened everywhere, most important, I was treat with respect and got best result. Thank You!!!

Though we have been divorced many years I ordered flowers for my children's mother, for the sake of my children. 1800Flowers did not deliver the flowers and did not call me to tell me they were not going to be delivered. When I got into a chat room with the customer service, he said he apologized for my inconvenience. Losing respect with your children is not an inconvenience - its appalling and life altering. I gave them a one star since I could not go less. I will never use this service again.

I ordered flowers for my mom and mother-in-law to be delivered the day before Mother's Day. The flowers sent to my mother-in-law were fine, but it was NOT at all the arrangement I ordered. I got an email from the company saying my mother's flowers were not delivered because the recipient was not at home. My mom was home all day! The company never contacted my mom to set up another day to deliver as they said they would. I have tried to call but cannot get through due to high call volume. I have sent two emails to ask for a refund, but I have never gotten a response. They took $180 for these two arrangements. I feel totally cheated. What a horrible company!!!

I ordered flowers for my Mother for Mother's day on May 8, 2015. I received an e-mail from 1-800-flowers saying they were delivered on May 9, 2015. Except they did not arrive! I waited to see if they would arrive on Sunday May 10, but they did not. I called on Monday May 11 and they said, "no problem, we're sorry, we will deliver them tomorrow." On Tuesday May 12, they had not arrived. My wife called them on Tuesday and asked what had happened. They said, "no problem, we will deliver them tomorrow Wednesday May 13." Today is Wednesday and the flowers have not been delivered. Mother's day was three days ago. My Mom and Dad have said, "forget it, cancel the order." I feel there is a lack of honesty and responsibility in their customer service. I will not order from them again.

This is the second year in a row that Mother's day flowers ordered by my niece for me did not arrive on time. Last year it took 4 days and them cancelling the first order and creating a new order to finally get the flowers delivered. This year, I called 1-800-Flowers at 6 PM on Mother's day and asked where my flowers were, the tracking information stated that they were "delivered". I was told that florists mark the order delivered when they load their trucks. They supposedly spoke with the florist on Mother's day and were told they were pretty sure it was on the truck and the flowers would be delivered by 10 PM on Mother's day. NEVER GOT DELIVERED!
I called on Monday after work.. (6 PM) Customer service could not get the florist on the phone, she told me it would be dealt with on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday at lunch time, once again.. florist was called, they said there was a computer glitch and the order got lost??? Customer Service said they would get it delivered. Called back at 6 PM when I got home, was told it still hadn't been resolved, but to call back in two hours so that I could talk to a supervisor who would have updated info for me. Called back at 8 PM and was told the girl was wrong, no supervisor had any info for me. I was told I would definitely get them today before 7 PM. I left an alternate address across the street from me so that there would be someone home to get the flowers.
I called at 6 PM when I got home because there were no flowers delivered. Spoke to two different girls, still no flowers. I was told to wait until 7PM and then I could call the "Priority Unit". This is a $60 flower order +shipping and tax. What the hell is going on? Three days late and all they say is they are sorry and they will credit her $20 on a future order. Worst service ever!

I ordered a bouquet from 1-800 Flowers.com for my mom's birthday. She called saying that it was the most beautiful bouquet she's ever gotten in her life. She sent a picture of it, and I was blown away. It was huge, and the flowers and arrangement were gorgeous. She said they had used the best florist in the city. I will definitely be using them again, as this is a wonderful service.

I placed a flower order for my Mother in law online on Thursday, May 7th at 11:00 am and selected the "same day delivery" option. My order totalled $49.36. I received confirmation that the order was placed. The funds were immediately withdrawn from my account. The day went on and the flowers were never delivered. I contacted customer service that evening and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Once I got a customer service rep on the phone, she spoke very broken English. She apologized for the order not being delivered but never gave a reason as to why. She changed the delivery date to the following day and assured me the flowers would be delivered the very next day between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.
The following day came and mid-day the flowers still had not been delivered so I attempted to track the order online with the order number I was given. The tracking status showed: "exception found" and under scheduled delivery it read: "N/A". I tried to call customer service once again (while at work) but had to hang up after 55 minutes on hold. Later that evening, I made another attempt to contact customer service, as the flowers had STILL not been delivered and their 9-7 window was coming to a close. I waited on hold for another 35 minutes. I got a customer service rep similar to the woman I had spoke to the previous day. Terrible English - squinting trying to understand her. She confirmed that the flowers had not been delivered and again, did not give me a reason as to why. She simply offered to refund my money.
I told her I absolutely wanted a refund as well as the flowers to be delivered. I was placed on hold for 2-3 minutes only for her to come back and tell me that the flowers could not be delivered. I asked, "Why can't they be delivered? What is the problem?" I was placed on hold for another 2-3 minutes when she came back on to tell me that, "the flowers you chose were not within the price range to be delivered to the recipient's address". I then asked her why this was the case with their company but Proflowers hasn't had an issue delivering flowers to that address the past 3 years. She could not explain any further. She continued to tell me that the cost of the flowers was not within the price-range for delivery to that address. Mind you, rolled into my total was $14.99 service fee for delivery.
Later in the conversation after receiving a lot of heat from me regarding the fact that there was nothing informing me of this when I ordered, no disclaimer, no attempts to contact me after the order was place- nothing... she finally told me that they could not find a florist in the area with the availability to deliver the flowers.
I confirmed that she cancelled my order then had to ask when the funds would be credited back to me and her response was "7-10 banking days". Even though, it only took 15 seconds to remove it from my account. She then offered me a $20 savings pass for my next order. I told her that I would not be needing the savings pass, as I have no intention of ever using their services again. I also told her that I would be writing to the BBB as well as submitting my review as many places as possible to deter people from using their services as well. All she could say the entire time was "I sorry for that".
