I ordered a fruit basket for my mother for Mother's Day. The original delivery date was May 9th. I ordered two dozen roses also which arrived on time. The fruit basket arrived today (May 12th) and looked NOTHING like the photo! Fruit looked bad, stuff falling apart, sloppily scribbled message, and on top of all that, the mug was a plain white one. It was supposed to be a Mother's Day mug with a special message on it. Can you say DISAPPOINTED???!!!
I called for the 4th time letting them know that the order was crappy and that something needed to be done about it. Placed on hold for like ten minutes only to be told that they can only give me partial credit. How does that solve the issue? It really DOESN'T! Now they want to give me a gift replacement plus $20 off my "next purchase" which they don't have to worry about. I will DEFINITELY NOT be purchasing anything else EVER from 1-800 flowers! Total time trying to resolve this issue: One whole hour of my life that I will never get back! What a disaster!!! NOTE: The first pictures are of what I received. The last two are what it was supposed to be.

This is the worst place ever. A total fraud. They sent emails saying it was delivered and clearly not. Called them and they guaranteed next day delivery. Nope. And then tried to tell me it was delivered and that it was my fault. I was home all day. Customer svc in the Philippines that have no idea what's going on. And telling lies and saying things they know they can't make or won't happen. In the real world that's called lies and fraud no?

I placed an order for delivery on 5/11 for mother's day and it was never delivered and I called in and was promised a credit that was not given and was also promised the flowers would arrive this morning 5/12. They did not arrive so I called at 1 pm and was again promised a credit that was never given and was advised the flowers would be there no later than 2 pm as they were on route for delivery. Needless to say the flowers are still not there at 3 pm and I am fighting for my credit for the whole order. They are ridiculous and should not be In business.

I had the same issue with mom's flowers. I got an email of delivery confirmation, when it was not, after I called they made delivery or redeliver it then. In my case at my wife's, which is our home, we been here all day. We have CCTV cameras all in our home inside and out, and no one has come to deliver as both email say. One says delivered at 6:30 pm, the next that just came in 20 minutes ago says delivered at 8:30 pm, which is outrageous and wrong to lie like this. Returning the money is not an option that you want to use with me. The occasion is already ruined, my mom's was almost ruined. So something your company is doing wrong, and am going to take it as far as I can to avoid this from happening again to anyone else. And unless your company makes this right to all those that this may had happened to, it will cost you - I will build a website to see who else had this happened to them, and go from there...
This is unprofessional and unforgivable on Mother's Day... I call and some guy that sounds like robot from the Middle East gives me vague answers, someone received it, BUT WHO, where, at what address - did the local florist lied and said he deliver to receive your payment and kept it or sold somewhere else. If so, that's criminal and prosecutable in our state. Yes am angry and disappointed...and yes I will not rest until this is made right not just for me, because it happened in Orlando at my mom's and in Hallandale at my house. Two different florist deceiving? Unlikely. The only answer is your center screwing up and covering their tracks with false deliveries...and I will not rest until I get to the bottom of it. I regret trusting you with such an important and simple task. I even agreed to Saturday, a day before delivery, if this was going to be the case.

I sent flowers to my 83 yr old mother Mother's Day flowers on the Thursday before Mother's Day. They apparently arrived dead. My mother called them and did not want to bother me. 1800 flowers called me and said they would resend new flowers and give me 20% discount. 2 days later - no flowers were sent nor any email on a refund. I called 4 times and spoke to reps who had very poor English skills. They would not be able to send the flowers until the end of this week. Unacceptable. I wanted full credit and new flowers and the best they could do was 50%. I was constantly getting discounted and they said their computer was crashing. By the 4th phone call to them, I said I just wanted my account to be re-credited. I have to now wait 7 days for that.

I ordered flowers for both my mother and mother in law for Mother's Day. I accidentally put the wrong date on my mother's so I called them back immediately. The person who I spoke to barely spoke English and said he would take care of the problem and changed the date. He was really so I called them back today and the dummy cancelled my order, and of course the flowers that were ordered were no longer available. So we changed the order. Then a few minutes later I got an email stating that the florist did not have the flowers in stock so I called them back.
Again, got a person who could not speak English very well. I explained the situation to her and she hung up on me. Called back again, spoke to another person whose English was not very good either. She said the delivery was sent out. So I asked her why did you send me the email, she hung up. Called back again to speak to a supervisor was put on hold for 30 minutes. I ended up hanging up. So now I am writing this review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They don't know what they are doing!!! I will never use them again. They are getting zero stars.

Not like this review will matter at all since they are a giant co and don't care about the 5% who receive bad service. Maybe, just maybe, they will gain a conscience like Comcast somewhat has... Anyways, ordered flowers for Mother's day 4 days in advance. No delivery Sat or Sun. Called Sunday, on hold for 30 min, hung up by choice. No delivery Mon, called, on hold for 20 min, finally reached a rep, gave him my info, put me on hold and hung up on me. No call back. Called Tuesday, rep said order was cancelled, my card had already been charge of course, blamed the issue on the florist, said he could "try" to send another order or I can cancel and get a refund... Well, ruined my Mother's Day, wife is pissed, wasted 3 hours of my time.

I ordered a fruit bouquet for my wife on Mother's Day and she didn't receive anything. I called the customer service and they told me that she would receive by around 7 pm so we waited. At 5:35 pm I received an email from them telling me that the bouquet was ready for delivery but it never arrived. So at 7 pm I called them again and they told me they tried to deliver one day before. The thing is, we were here one day before and nothing arrived, so this same guy told me to wait and I waited for 40 minutes and the call disconnected! He just kept me on hold and never came back. Tried to call again but waited more 25 minutes and nobody answered. The day after Mother's Day I tried to call them again and they told they would give me 50% discount and deliver the bouquet, but again it never arrived. So I had to call them one more time to ask for a full refund after a total disappointment with their service.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers on May 5th to be delivered on May 11th. I received an email confirmation, and my credit card statement shows the payment went through. Well not only did the flowers not get delivered, but upon calling them, they cant find the order, or my name, or anything at all really in their system.65$ for a bouquet of non-existing flowers. I will NEVER order from them again.

I ordered flowers and chocolates as a Mother's Day present, and received an email confirming delivery. Luckily, my note said "enjoy the chocolates" because none were delivered (very disturbing, because that was what my mother really wanted). I did call the company and they said florist was apologetic and arranged for delivery. But I never would have known if not for my card's mention of the chocolates. As a result, I am not impressed with paying $20+ for chocolates, $20+ for delivery, and getting a confirmation that was wrong.

I ordered flowers for my mom for Mother's Day and received confirmation that they delivered the evening before Mother's Day. When I spoke to my mom and asked her how she liked her flowers, she told me she never received them. I contacted 1-800-flowers at 6:30pm on Mother's Day and they assured me I would get a call in the morning and they would redeliver. Never received the call and spent 48 minutes again last night with them and am still not even assured my flowers will be delivered today. I was told that there is a possibility that they may deliver Wednesday, 3 days after Mother's Day. They still can't assure me they will be delivered so there is a chance they will just have to ship her something completely different from what I ordered and if they do that, it could be the end of this week or maybe next.
$80 for flowers and they said they could waive the shipping fee? Are you kidding me? They should waive it as they haven't even been delivered! Once again, I was told I would receive a call first thing this morning to update me on my order. At 8:30am, I have still not heard from them. I paid for my item, and have spent two phone calls (about an hour and a half in total time) and still have nothing. The customer rep even told me "Well, I'm not the person who helped you last time". Should who helped matter at this point? I thought I was dealing with a company, not individuals. This company is a joke and regardless of what offer they send my way, I will be purchasing my flowers somewhere else moving forward. A discount or coupon, at this point, would just be an invite back for a horrible experience. I'd rather pay regular price somewhere else and actually get what I paid for, delivered for when it was requested.

I will never buy flowers from them again and I will make sure no one else does simply because they took my money and ran instead of attempting to rectify the right way and refunding my money. The worst flower service ever! Placed an order for a Mother's Day delivery on Saturday the 9th. The order was confirmed and the payment was made on an American Express gift card that was maxed and tossed in the garbage the next day after use. When the flowers didn't get delivered I called 1-800Flowers for them to tell me they didn't have the flowers that they ordered so they refunded the gift card (which is no longer in my possession). When placing the order, you're required to fill out contact information. At no point in time did they ever make an effort to contact me and let me know about the situation. I had to call the day after. I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold for 30 min for a rep to tell me that the manager was too busy. But they could offer another delivery at 50% off.
What? After I just lost $80 from the first one?! I wasn't even asking for money back. All I wanted was flowers to be delivered to a very special lady on Mothers Day and they couldn't even do that. They stole my money, provided no service, and the only way to make it up to me was if I purchased another arrangement at a discounted price. What a joke! It's been 2 days and the manager that was supposed to return my call still has not. They sent an email to me last night saying flowers would be delivered today. That never happened. Never again will I order from here, and I would advise anyone who wants a dependable flower delivery to do the same. 1800Flowers is a scam.

I made the Mother's Day flowers delivery order for my Mom on the Wednesday, for the actual delivery on the Saturday (one day before Mother's Day). Because she lives in a fairly smaller community, I thought that was LOTS of notice and a day before florists would have crazy deliveries on the Sunday. But no, after three calls and hours of waiting on hold with 1-800 flowers... no. They really have no control over anything and can't give you any remedy. No delivery even until 9:00 pm on Mother's Day. My mom got nothing for Mother's Day, even though I spent $100.00 and hours on the phone. A terrible company with no remorse.

I ordered these flowers online after being warned by many of my friends not to that the flowers always come in bad shape or they won't get delivered on time. I paid extra to have them paid on a Saturday the day before Mother's Day since we were leaving on Mother's Day for vacation. The person that is taking care of our house while we were gone sent us a picture of the box of flowers that was delivered 2 days late. They now are useless to me, my boys, and my wife so we all got screwed out of Mother's Day. I will never use this company again and I will definitely tell all on Facebook how bad your business is and I will have my friends do the same. I've asked for my money back. You say you can't give it back because it was the same day that the flowers were to be delivered but yet the flowers didn't come in till two days later. Bad company - two thumbs down.

I placed an order for two dozen of roses for Mother's Day. I was told they were out for delivery on Friday and I did not receive the roses until Monday. When I received them it was only one dozen. They were wrapped in tissue paper with the stems of the roses already cut, they were cut so short that the roses fell in the rose where you could only see the top of the rose in the vase. It looked as if the items were just thrown in the box with yellow tissue paper on top. I will be safe from this point on and only purchase flowers from my local flower shop.

I have been dealing with my April 21th order since it was delivered. I have attached a picture of what I ordered (left) and what the recipient received (right). As you can probably see, these don't look anything like each other. I called the customer service number on Wednesday, the 23rd in the evening to ask for a redelivery because I did not spend all that money on a regular bouquet. The rep told me that a new bouquet would be delivered on the following day and I was compensated with a $20 coupon. I called back on Friday evening, 25th because there was no new bouquet delivered. The rep that I talked to this time filed a report stating that she would have the florist call me within 24 hours to resolve this issue and possibly give me a refund.
I call back today. The representative talks to the florist on the phone and stated that she could only give me a 50% refund because the customer was satisfied with the bouquet they got. I told her anyone would be happy with a surprise flower bouquet, but they did not know that they were supposed to be getting a bouquet with a carnation white dog (that looked like their dog) in a cute baby vase. If they had known, they would probably be very upset by that. She stated that the florist and the system told her there was a redelivery on the 22nd, but of course that wasn't true because the original delivery date was the 23rd. At this point I am frustrated and upset that I paid for something that I didn't want. I expected 1-800-Flowers to be better than this. I expected a full refund. I'm done jumping through hoops for something that was supposed to be a simple process.

Got a call on 5-9-15 and they said could not find address. When asked what address they had wrote an entirely different address. Again I spelled it out to this person that was obviously not in the USA and told her she could check the previous phone order as they stated it was being recorded. I placed a $150 order for Mother's Day. When my mom hadn't gotten the order by 6PM on Mother's Day, I checked online. Online, it said the order was fine, but it didn't provide tracking details. So I called Flowers.com, at which point they informed me that notes in the account record said that the florist's truck had left the flowers behind and could not return back to the store to get them. They said they tried to call me (they had my number and my mother's number) but did not get through, and did not leave a message (the representative later indicated that because I had paid through PayPal that they may have tried to phone PayPal instead of me) and so they just cancelled the order.
I received no communication about this cancellation, and in fact, while I was on the phone with them and looking at the order online, it still appeared to be on its way. I asked them if they could just deliver the order on Monday (better late than never, right) and if they could provide some kind of compensation for this trouble. Both were met with "no" - the first because many of the florists take the day off the day after Mother's Day and the second because they said they'd already provided a refund (a refund for which they'd provided no actual proof except the representative's word that it had actually occurred).
I asked if I could speak with her manager and was met with "no - she understood my frustration, but nothing could be done" as if all of this was happening outside of them and not because of them! I informed her that because she could not prove that they'd actually cancelled the order, and that she would not escalate, that I would have to choose to never order from them again and to poorly review them in public. I am not the sort of person who regularly writes reviews, but this customer service was atrocious (she even agreed that it was bad!) - it seems like something is terribly wrong with their customer service and approach to communicating with their customers in general. My advice: FTD.

I understand that things can go wrong. But when things do go wrong, I expect the company to do all it can to make things right. On the Thursday before Mother's Day, I ordered Mother's Day flowers for delivery on May 9 (the day before Mother's Day). On that Saturday, I was notified by email that delivery had been attempted, but no one was home. OK, things happen.
The email said that 1800Flowers would work with the recipient (my mother) to schedule a delivery time that would be convenient. As of 6:30 pm, no flowers and no call to my mother from 1800Flowers to arrange a convenient delivery. I called the Customer Service number provided by 1800Flowers. It (of course) suggested I go online to check the status of the order. Did that, and it said "exception found", but gave no update regarding expected delivery.
I pressed the correct number to speak to a Customer Service Rep, and waited for a few minutes. The young man I spoke with was very cordial, but also very difficult to understand. (I do not object to speaking with someone whose first language is not English, but I do expect anyone in Customer Service to speak clearly enough to be understood). I provided the information he needed, and he gave a rather rehearsed reply -- that the flowers were waiting to be picked up, and that they should be delivered by 9:00 pm on Mother's Day. With all the companies offering flower deliveries, I think I will select one next time that is a bit better at Customer Service.

1800Flowers.com took my order ran my credit card and got confirmation, my mom never received what I ordered due to their inability to understand English, they told me my credit was declined (impossible). I assume the address I gave them was unable to deliver, I've been told this from other carriers but with these guys prefer to blame me, I did call customer service and was told I was sent a email (wrong again). I check all my mails junk, trash and sent "NOTHING". I stress how important it was for them to deliver the gift and was assured all was great and confirmed (as much as I could understand). All I have to say is to order from an American company! Oh, and was promised an email for my order which I can't provide due to no emails sent to me! I'm very disappointed and now have to wait until next week to order a belated gift for mom's birthday and Mother's Day gift, I think I'll just call a local flower company that can give me the service I pay for!

Hey, everyone gets to screw up once, right? I figured a large outfit like 1-800-Flowers would make things right if they screwed it up. Last year they failed to deliver flowers to my mom on Mother's Day. I called to complain and they got a bouquet out the next day...albeit, it appeared rather hastily thrown together, but it was a large bouquet and I was glad that they try their best to make things right.
I used them again this year. Well, once again, no flowers for mom on Mother's Day! When I called I got somebody for whom English was obviously a second language. I have nothing against anyone who speaks English as a second language. It was obvious the customer service person was struggling to fully understand me. I said, "I'd call back," and I got a second person, who was unfailingly polite but I could tell a few nuances were being missed. It is obvious they are outsourcing their customer service calls. This just lends itself to the frustration, because you have a feeling that perhaps the customer service person doesn't understand that Mother's Day is a pretty major holiday in the United States.
I explained my dilemma and upset with having two years go by in a row where my mom gets nothing on Mother's Day! The customer service person offered to call my mother and give her a personal apology, but at first told me I would not be refunded...nor would a second bouquet be sent out because they had a FedEx record of something having been delivered. Well, that's all good and well. I'm sure something was delivered somewhere. But my mom still had nothing and I had paid for the service, and all we were going to get was a phone call? I really flipped out, I was furious!
Finally, after much back-and-forth, the customer service person checked with her supervisor and told me they would send out a bouquet, though it would go out tomorrow. I remained frustrated because I had to go through all that haggling and back-and-forth to get any sort of satisfaction. It left me with a really bad taste in my mouth and I was really upset that for two Mother's Days in a row my mom had no flowers delivered to her. I realize it's not the end of the world, but 1-800-Flowers you had one job to do!

I spent 200 with 800-Flowers and they got a shipping confirmation for the following Monday. I called customer service and stayed on hold for 23 mins then was hung up on. I called back. Stayed on hold again for 20 plus min. Got some dude that couldn't speak clear English and all he could say is "sorry but we will deliver them on Monday."
I finally told him I would dispute my credit card charge and then he said he would give me a 20 gift card. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Then that lady said the same thing and said she was sorry. She offered 50% refund. I told her "no thank you" and asked to cancel my order in full and refund my money. Finally after a 25 min call they agreed. Apologized again. I did get the supervisor's name and employee number. It would have been SO much easier to go by Walmart pick up some and deliver them myself.

I heard a message from the delivery person leaving his cell number, saying he will attempt later. Couldn't get into the gate. Mind you, the first delivery arrived thru the same gate with no one home. I called him and he didn't answer, so he called me back from my missed call. I asked him about this and that it was strange that the first order was received. He answered me nasty, that he doesn't do the same things other delivery people do. But the best is this -- HE SAID, "My car is giving me issue right now and I have BETTER THINGS to do than deliver your flowers," and hung up on me.
I will never use 1-800-Flowers again and they will miss my business. And I called customer service to complain and they took his number and said, "We will update you when they arrive." Nothing about, "Can we satisfy you?" Credit you something for their driver's rude behavior? NO!! We will contact you when they are received. Sent three customer service requests for clarification on what they needed. The answers were unrelated to my questions. For example, Me: "Please see the delivery information in this communication. Do you now have what you need to make this delivery?" 800-Flowers: "Just letting you know that we've received and processed your request to change the delivery date on your order." Me: "I didn't change the delivery date. It should be delivered today." 800-Flowers: "At 1-800-FLOWERS.COM we appreciate all comments, positive and negative, from all of our customers. Upon further investigation, I have found over 1,200 complaints online about 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, so I guess this is just business as usual for them. You don't get what you think you are ordering, and you are paying too much money for such poor quality and quantity. This is a consumer nightmare - online ordering at its very worst. I was never given the opportunity to receive something else comparable, never given the opportunity to pick up, and or have your company subcontract to another independent floral company. However, I was told my order can be rescheduled for Sunday delivery (the day after the ceremony, and the location is closed). Then I was told, I would received the order at a 50% discount before 12 noon on Monday.
Monday my wife reminds (around 3 PM), that we should have received the order by now. I call a second time and was told that my order had not been received and there was some sort of mix up. The rep I spoke with said they would send me a $20 gift card towards my next purchase. I can go on and on and on, but this has my blood boiling!!! I will not, and I MEAN WILL NOT, do business with your company and or any organization you are affiliated with from this day forward! You are absolutely the worst company, with horrible business standards/practices, and subpar customer service!!!
Here's something for you to think about: your customer expect you to keep your PROMISE, we are business savvy, and if you continue down this road of treating your customers like they don't matter, you will not be in business long!!! I hope this message reaches your CEO, as he or she must be completely disconnected from the business, and they should be aware of the magnitude of complaints all over the Internet. No problem and they were for a Sunday birthday, so I was satisfied. Then I got a call on Sat. saying they couldn't be delivered till Monday, so I said "ok", but I was disappointed, and they said they would call her and apologize. Then I found out at the end of the Friday call that the "shipping charge" was really the phone service charge, and if I had ordered online, there wouldn't have been that charge. So, I said "please cancel my order, I would prefer to order online", and he said that they would give me a 15% discount, so the cost was to go down to $48.98. Then I saw last night that they had charged me the whole amount - $54.98.
When the lady from the Philippines called today, to get the address right - which somehow had gotten lost, I asked why the amount on my account was still at 54.99 when I had been told it would be reduced. She said the charge would be $33.99! So, I said "great, but make sure that I get credited on my account". I'm pretty unhappy that 1) it was first an Indian, hard to understand 2) that they couldn't deliver on Sat. as they had said was possible 3) that the charge was not reduced, and 4) that they got the address mixed up, as well as I had to try to understand a Filipino. I am soooo upset and embarrassed, I placed two separate orders for two separate days. The first one ordered for one of my friends was the 24 red roses in a Waterford vase. They were supposed to be sent to my office, in my name, to be given to a friend for a wedding gift at a surprise shower. Some of her other friends and I were going to go in together and buy her with a Waterford crystal vase but I had seen this vase w/ the 24 roses at 1(800)flowers and told them about it and they all chipped in. I called 3 days in advance and was assured they would be there on Wednesday, 4/7/2015 by 2pm, when we were having our surprise luncheon for her.
At 2:30pm they had not arrived so I called the 1(800)flowers number (which is outsourced and not in the United States), but I once again was assured they would be delivered but this time I was told by 5:00pm via UPS. I was upset as this was so carefully planned but okay fine, at least she would get them on the right day. Well, you guessed it, they were a no show and we were in the office until 8pm.
I called "customer service" (again, not in the U.S.) this morning and told them what happened and I am told "Oh, I am sorry, let me check on where your order is." I gave her the order number and the woman puts me on hold and then comes back with the wrong information! She pulled up the information for my second order set to be delivered on 4/9/2015 and says "Oh ma'am, you are wrong about your order, you did not order the ..........., you ordered the..........and it is not set to be delivered until tomorrow".
I go through the whole story and once again give her the order number. She puts me on hold a second time, comes back and says she can't find my order. So, for a 3rd time I explain there are 2 orders for 2 different items and I am giving her the correct order number. I repeat the number a 3rd time and she says "Oh ma'am, I got the wrong number, let me check again." She comes back after the 3rd try and tells me there was a problem with my order so they cancelled it!" Really!!!
Okay, I gave them 2 different phone numbers to reach me, plus my email addy. Why the heck would they ask you for a phone number(s), or email address, if they are not going to contact you if there is a problem? She could not answer that question! I asked for an immediate refund of my $120.00. She proceeds to tell me she can just "re-submit" my order and it will be delivered on Monday, 4/14/2015 - by 2pm! Really!!! I explained that “this was for a "special" occasion and getting it a week later would not help me.” She offered to have it sent today but it would be an additional $65.00 plus tax and $2.00 for delivery today! Really, you mess up my order, and then "offer" to have it delivered the next day but will charge me a total of $73.00 more!
Could I have given it on another day, sure but that was not the point. I again said "just refund me for the purchase." She then says "well, if that is what you want ma'am, I will have your money refunded but it takes 5 to 7 business days. If you will just keep your order, I will give you a 20% off coupon for your next purchase." OMG, really! You charge my c.c. immediately, mess up my order, want to charge me extra to fix your mistake and now I feel like you are trying to push me into keeping the order w/ a 20% off coupon for my next purchase!?!
I told her “no and now I want to cancel my second order, set to be delivered tomorrow”, and she tells me “it's too late” and I cannot get a refund on that order as it has already be shipped and since there is nothing wrong with it (that we know of) she cannot refund the money for that order. 1(800) flowers have put me in such a difficult position. I am devastated, embarrassed, and upset. I feel like I let down the other girls as this was my part of the surprise shower and I let everyone down. I like a heel because we had no gift for our friend yesterday. I had to give the other girls their money back, rightfully so of course, since I had no gift to show for their money, while I have to wait 5 to 7 days for my refund. On top of that I still need to buy a crystal vase for my friend.
One last comment/question: "1(800)flowers what happened to customer service, and why can't I talk with someone in U.S. when there is a problem, who understands me and I can understand them?"

I found out that my friend had been transferred to a skilled nursing across the street so on the 2nd of April one full day before they were scheduled to deliver. I called 1-800-Flowers customers service and spoke to **. All of the customer service people have perky "American style" names but trust me they are somewhere like Mumbai - the accents are thick and so is the scripting. ** assured me they would contact the delivering florist and change the ship to address - no problem...
On Saturday I received an email that they were unable to deliver and were waiting for a call from the recipient (???) so I once again called customer service and spoke to a guy who had such a thick accent I literally couldn't understand him - he assured me they would attempt to deliver "this one" again. As of today - Monday the 6th - NOTHING so I called and got ** who called the florist and finally just gave me the florist's number to try and straighten the whole mess out. So basically other than collecting money, 1-800-Flowers did NOTHING.
I spoke to the "florist" who swore they had never given her the correct info and she swears she will deliver a brand new arrangement - like, now - that was at noon and almost 4 hours later. I don't have any encouragement that anything will happen. I don't like outsourced companies - they just give away jobs that we need and while I feel the employees are dedicated to doing the best they can its just not the same. I also don't like the duplicity that assigning them "cute" names will make them seem more American. We placed an order to be delivered the next day for a friend who lost her mother. On delivery day, we received a garbled message of which only flowers and order were legible. By 9pm, they were still not received. We called the Customer Service. They offered to place a third order, as the second order had been cancelled, and "someone should have called". No longer certain they would EVER deliver, my wife asked to speak to a manager. After 15 minutes, the best they could do was be the go-between between her and the manager.
In the mean time, I called from my phone, and was put on hold for over 15 minutes. I hung up, and called back again. That person (finally) seemed really concerned, and did not put me on hold but went looking for her manager **. Finally (7 minutes), ** was available and she'd put me through. I went on hold for 2 minutes, then she said her manager ** was now ready. I could not naturally trust that ** was a manager since the original name was **. Anyhow, first ** got my info and asked me what the matter was. I explained. Then he said he was sorry but could not speak to me since my name was not on the order.
My wife took over. The summary of the call was there was only 1 florist in the area (I live in Leander, a suburb of Austin, the capital of Texas). I'm fairly certain they'd have more than one florist, or there's a lot of dissatisfied customers since ** then said "they ran out of materials to make your original order". After his repeating the 1 florist line a few times, we asked about our 2nd order, a same-day delivery order. His response was the order should not have ever been accepted as there's only 1 florist in the area. When asked why it was cancelled, he stated "it should have never been placed". Unsure as to why that was my wife's fault she asked why she had received the confirmation for the second order. He said it did not matter as it should have never been placed. Your customer service person asks if I'd like to substitute red roses. After going back and forth for 5 minutes (because of a language barrier issue) and offering 15% discount and a $20 gift card to a future 1-800 flower order (there will not ever be a future order with you) she talked me into changing to red roses ONLY IF THEY CAN BE DELIVERED TO MY WIFE'S WORK BY 2:30. The agent assured me they would and told me that if there was a problem then she'd call me right away and inform me.
Well at 3:00 PM my wife's birthday surprise was still not ordered and I had to call you to find out what was happening. At this point I have to explain the whole ordeal again to a different person. Had i known that you sub contract your customer service to the Philippines, I would have never done business with you. So here we are at 3:54 PM and my wife still does not have her birthday gift. Oh, I just got a phone call from another Filipino lady saying that she "ASSURES" me that my wife will get her flowers at our home... Funny, I was told that two times earlier today and nothing happened.
I will do everything in my power to get onto every social media website and tell everyone that i know about this terrible experience with your company. I will ask everyone to pass the story along to at least one other person that they know, and so on. I recently ordered flowers and Harry Winston chocolates (14 oz) for my aunt's 90th birthday. After speaking with 1(800) flowers, I was told the local florist did not have Harry Winston chocolates, but they would switch to Ghirardelli chocolates (16 oz). Upon checking with the local florist, I was told the order would be switched with a 7 oz Whitman sampler box; in fact, the local florist did not even have Ghirardelli chocolate (1-800 flowers had simply fabricated a lie). The local florist was kind enough to send 2 - 7 oz boxes of Whitman chocolates when she understood what had happened (no thanks to 1-800 flowers who really didn't care what was sent).
I utilize services such as 1-800 Flowers to do nice things for people I care about. When an order is changed to provide a product of lesser quality and quantity it reflects on me and diminishes the gift. In my business, if I can't fill an order, I provide an alternative that is equal or better. I also do the necessary research before offering an alternative to my customer (and I certainly don't promise a 16 oz box of Ghirardelli chocolate and then deliver a 7 oz box of drugstore candy). If you are ordering something for someone you care about or a business associate, I would not entrust 1-800 flowers with the order.

Instead, on March 20, 2015, three days AFTER the death of this friend, the arrangement was delivered to her grieving husband, with a card and sentiment for her. What an idiot I looked like. Worse yet, is that my final word to her never arrived before she passed. I have never written a review like this - this is by far, the worst service experience I have had and will advise everyone that I come in contact with never to use this company again.

I ordered an edible arrangement on the 1-800 Flowers website on Friday March 27th originally expecting weekend delivery but after putting the required destination information they said it would be same day delivery which was fine with me. Apparently they had tried to call me later on Friday but couldn't email me to let me know there was a problem. I didn't hear the voice mail until late Friday evening explaining they couldn't make the delivery on Friday and to please call back.
Since I originally expected weekend delivery anyway I was not overly disappointed, however I was very busy on Saturday so in the early evening I logged into the 1-800 Flowers website to check on the status of the delivery and it had not been delivered. I called them up to complain and was told they could not find anyone to create the arrangement and they would refund my money. Thanks for nothing, my next call was to Edible Arrangements who for less money actually delivered a beautiful arrangement on Sunday. Thanks goodness somebody knows what the hell they are doing, I will never use 1-800 Flowers again..

At approx 10:20 am on 3/21/15 I ordered a bouquet and teddy to be delivered to my 94 yr old Gram the same day... not because I was pushing but because they advertised "Same Day Delivery." Cut to the chase, the flowers and stuffed "dog," were delivered on the afternoon of 03/25/15. Misinformation... nope... Bait and Switch!! The company makes me doubly mad because they set their workers up to fail! I've gotten an email asking me, "How did this worker perform?" FYI 1800 FLOWERS.. If you did what you were supposed to do you wouldn't have to spend so much time and resources on policing your employees. I ordered flowers for my sister's birthday - she is in the UK, I'm in the US, so 1800 flowers seemed an easy way to say happy birthday/love you sis. What I ordered was beautiful - what she got was a bunch of daisies! Called to complain and they are going to resend tomorrow and kept asking me what I wanted to include in the flowers, I want the SEA Breeze arrangement I ordered from your website - why do I have to list the flowers (I don't know some of their names)! Why can't they just deliver an arrangement that (as closely as possible) matches the one they advertise?
Customer service was an Indian lady - not sure if she was US or India based - doesn't really matter, she was obtuse to the point of obstructiveness (perhaps her plan) - and didn't seem to understand why I was upset - if I wanted my sister to have daisies I would have told her to go out to her backyard and grab a bunch! Cheap Cheap Cheap - which the arrangement was not - just shy of $100 actually! I will see what the morrow brings, but I don't hold out much hope (plus, her birthday was today so kinda lost the pazazz now).

Ordered flowers online. The recipient had to go out-of-town, so I needed to cancel the order. It's impossible to cancel an order online. I called, cancelled the order a week before the scheduled delivery. The delivery was indeed cancelled. Customer Service promised a confirming email, and, promised to return the money to my account within 5-7 days. The email never was generated confirming cancellation and refund. The refund never arrived. I called again. Once again, promised that I would immediately receive a confirmation email and refund. Once again, no email and no refund. I was then forced to initiate a formal investigation against 1800Flowers.com through both PayPal and MasterCard. Finally, after two months, 1800Flowers.com finally, grudgingly, refunded my money. 1800Flowers.com IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!!!! THEY MEET THE DEFINITION OF THIEVES!!! BEWARE!!!!

I had the worst experience ever with 1-800-flowers. I had a sympathy order that was time sensitive. I first spoke with someone who didn't speak English well enough, didn't understand the word "sympathy", butchered my message card with several misspellings, and guaranteed me a date that she never followed through on. She told me it would definitely get there the Saturday before the funeral, but she actually scheduled the Tuesday after. I never received a phone call of the schedule change or I would've said “this was unacceptable” and cancelled. I also saw the mock up of the message card and called immediately to fix it. I was told it was fixed. The package was supposed to then arrive the Tuesday AFTER the funeral (unacceptable) and then it DIDNT COME TUESDAY!
Finally got a call from the manager (where were you this whole time btw?) and she re-scheduled the delivery for almost 2 weeks after the funeral (really?!). The best part of this epic fail is the package showed up with the original misspelled message on it, nobody ever fixed it! The recipient even commented on the horrible typos. We will never ever use this company again. The $20 dollar consolation coupon was like a slap in the face. Don't use this company!

Unknown Caller called stating flowers left on front porch and hung up on me when I asked for a name. Called customer service, got ** who was very difficult to understand. She stated they would re-deliver. I said I want a full refund because the website states 100% satisfaction. She said she cannot give a full refund because flowers were actually delivered. She stated I would only receive 50% refunded. I asked for an email confirmation which did not arrive by 3/18/15 or the refund confirmation.
I called customer service again and spoke with **. He stated he would provide only the $46.64 (half) on my order. I asked for his email address to send him the picture of the horrible, nearly $100 disaster my mother received but he said he did not need to see them. He said they use local florist. I verified he had my email address and all the information needed and again requested a confirmation email be sent regarding the half refund. I received an email from PayPal with Refund from 1800Flowers at 1:15am 3/22/15 stating they credited half back to my card.
These flowers were worth maybe $8.00. This has to be theft by deception, theft of service, misrepresentation to consumers or a host of multiple internet illegal activities. I know no other venue where anyone could offer for sale a good condition corvette and receive 20,000.00 prepaid and have some shady person deliver a heap of junk valued at 10.00 and not face charges. Especially with 100% satisfaction guarantee right there to lure you in.

There was no satisfaction. They wanted to deliver the same arrangement the following day but the holiday had pass. Then they wanted the old arrangement back. Quite frankly, all love flowers but this arrangement was a Hot mess ...and more importantly, it WASN'T EVEN CLOSE to what I ordered. So I then tried to cancel the chocolate covered strawberries that were to come later and was told I couldn't. It took me the better part of the day to finally get through to a supervisor.
It was not only disgusting how they delivered my gift on what was to be a special day but then added to the angst by treating me like I was bothering them. I have never been so disappointed. I salvaged 3 roses from the two dozen. Went to the grocery store and bought two dozen roses a vase at half the 124.00 1-800-flowers charged and a card and recreated the message I had worked on that never came.
